- 0:04Speaker 1: It's andre Asteroid here And for this episode, I'm going
- 0:08Speaker 1: to be talking about how I follow Gabriel Iglesias on YouTube,
- 0:16Speaker 1: so that meant that I had a chance to notice
- 0:20Speaker 1: that he had an upload that said armed and fluffy.
- 0:25Speaker 1: So it got me thinking about my take on gun laws,
- 0:29Speaker 1: and I think both sides have it wrong. And here's
- 0:34Speaker 1: why you have the flaming liberals take taking the attitude
- 0:44Speaker 1: we need to outlaw guns. Guns are the number one
- 0:47Speaker 1: killer of children, and I take issue with that stance
- 0:54Speaker 1: because a they're wrong research abortion and biology and life
- 1:01Speaker 1: development and you come back and tell me that abortion
- 1:05Speaker 1: is not murder, first off, And secondly, because they're using
- 1:12Speaker 1: that as a talking point, they're not bringing up the
- 1:18Speaker 1: intention of the Second Amendment and how there was the
- 1:22Speaker 1: war going on at the time that was the tipping
- 1:25Speaker 1: off point to establishing the Second Amendment. Then you have
- 1:32Speaker 1: what I call the republic can't stance, And I like
- 1:37Speaker 1: saying republican't because it's a lot more fun than MAGA.
- 1:41Speaker 1: And their talking points are we need to have guns
- 1:46Speaker 1: to keep ourselves safe and it's a constitutional right, which
- 1:52Speaker 1: I kind of get, but that's only because as somebody
- 1:58Speaker 1: that suffers from ans and depression and understand that. But
- 2:04Speaker 1: at the same time, because of that, there's also a
- 2:09Speaker 1: side of me that thinks that it's way too much.
- 2:13Speaker 1: I don't want to add thinking I need to have
- 2:17Speaker 1: a gun to keep myself safe. Saw me even take
- 2:20Speaker 1: it to the extreme of saying that teachers should learn
- 2:26Speaker 1: to be armed after a school shooting. Some go so
- 2:31Speaker 1: hard with their beliefs that they don't take the time
- 2:35Speaker 1: out to listen to the other side's talking points discussing
- 2:41Speaker 1: what I mentioned earlier about my take on how the
- 2:45Speaker 1: Second Amendment came to be. So those are two completely
- 2:51Speaker 1: different scenarios being in a wartime versus protecting yourself from
- 2:58Speaker 1: a robber, and why the chron uncle left don't see
- 3:06Speaker 1: gun control as bucking the Second Amendment. It even pains
- 3:12Speaker 1: me to say that it affects how I feel about
- 3:15Speaker 1: the anti abortion community. And I use the term anti
- 3:20Speaker 1: abortion because to me, I think gone are the days
- 3:22Speaker 1: of pro life, pro choice. So there's that time out
- 3:27Speaker 1: to bring up why I use that term. But getting
- 3:32Speaker 1: back to the topic, it affects my view because some
- 3:40Speaker 1: still fall into that classic anti abortion way of thinking,
- 3:47Speaker 1: and for me, I don't like how somebody can go
- 3:52Speaker 1: from having all disgusto fighting against the injustice of abortion,
- 4:00Speaker 1: putting in all this effort to expose it, call it out,
- 4:05Speaker 1: but then all of a sudden they think that you
- 4:10Speaker 1: can't do anything about crime. It doesn't sit well with me.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Despite the things that we can't agree on. I get
- 4:22Speaker 1: that some would say that I'm describing extremism, describing the
- 4:30Speaker 1: two sides, but to me, they still roll the roost anyways,
- 4:37Speaker 1: and because of the back and forth, nothing ever really
- 4:43Speaker 1: gets done. Despite the fact that independence are rising and
- 4:53Speaker 1: starting to register in record numbers. That covers what made
- 4:57Speaker 1: me think about my stance on gun laws until the
- 5:03Speaker 1: next one, Geez the chicken grease m
