- 1:32everybody else calls it a rerun. This episode of Let George Do It was
- 1:41repeated. Kind of a rare thing, but not so as much as radio
- 1:45continued on this transcribed episode of Let George Do It? We heard it was
- 1:52broadcast April twenty third of nineteen fifty one, and we heard it back on
- 1:57June the twenty seventh. This episode was a rebroadcast August twenty five, nineteen
- 2:05fifty two. And the toddle is sabotage, please and enjoy. I just

- 3:34Damn, miss a Valentine, how would you like to do three things?
- 3:38See a bit of the world, solve a situation for me, and
- 3:40be of service to your country. On second thought, the order of those
- 3:45three things should be reversed. In any case, if you're available for such
- 3:49an assignment at your regular pee plus, please call on me as soon as
- 3:53possible. At the ask you're very truly Miles Card you're president, are interesting,
- 4:00Brooksy. I'm sort of a yen to see some of the world.
- 4:01Oh, George, how do you know you're included in? Oh? Well
- 4:06I don't, but you ought to be able to fix it. Why i'se
- 4:12kind of president. I'm president of what. Oh let's see actually mining and
- 4:16smelling company? At you here on this letter? Well wow, let's get
- 4:23out there right away and see my clients. How do you know he's going
- 4:26to be a client? And why did your sparks go the name of the
- 4:29company, Well, it just happens to be a very big and important concern.
- 4:31Angel practically has a corner on South American tin Oh is that which incomes
- 4:35from a good deal of me? And mister Carter has run out of stuff
- 4:39to make Kim cans with wants you to discover another man in something that with
- 4:44a case he's hire an engineer. Then what could this situation be? I
- 4:47guess the best way to find out is to call on mister Carter. What
- 4:50on your face, Brooksy, Let's go, Valentine. Let's start out with
- 5:05three facts. Yeah, okay, mister Kenny. But let's get to the
- 5:09first. A quarter of the world's tin supply comes from Bolivia in South America.
- 5:14Second, American interests control four fifths of that output, and third act
- 5:17imports more tins from South America than any other countries. That's quite true,
- 5:23miss Brooks, but that isn't the third Twice, Oh, I'm sorry,
- 5:26I interrupted. That's all right. The third point is where you can in
- 5:30Valentine. Okay, let's have it. In the last few months, acme's
- 5:33tin production has been steadily slowing up. The minds are just as productive,
- 5:38but we're not getting the middle out. I see, And just how can
- 5:42I do anything about that? There's some kind of sabotage going on at the
- 5:46MAP, well organized plot to slow us up. That means slowing up the
- 5:50defense program. Well, just a minimum, Carter, isn't this a job
- 5:55for some kind of government agency. No, the people at the bottom of
- 5:58this plot of plans very carefully. They could smell a government man a mile
- 6:02away. I need somebody who will be completely unsuspectful. But wouldn't these people
- 6:08suspect anybody? Not the way I have it set up, Valentine, have
- 6:13you ever taken pictures? Oh? Yeah, sure, of course you don't
- 6:16have, as long as you can get I rather thought you might be interested
- 6:23in the job, Valentine, so I took the trouble to get this for
- 6:26you. Here official news photographer, accredited the staff of Events magazine. That's
- 6:34your nre. The editor of Events is cooperating with me in this state.
- 6:39Oh yeah, yeah, I see. I'm to get down to your minds
- 6:42in Bolivia photographer sabotaged. You mean he has to go alone? That's right?
- 6:48No, no, no, wait a minute, you've given me an
- 6:51idea. Yes, of course I should have thought of it. The Events
- 6:57magazine needs pictures minds, it also needs a story to go with them.
- 7:02Can you write, miss Brooks editors my school page. Good deal, I'll
- 7:08get you certified by Events to a photographer and a feature. Right, have
- 7:12a look. That'll dress up our investigations. Oh nobody will not. Oh
- 7:15thank you, miss Cards. There's a panem clipper leaving from a Plas tomorrow.
- 7:18What you haven't looked on? I'll make reservations for your bok, that
- 7:21is, if you want your s Oh yeah, sure, we'll be glad
- 7:26to go. Good Dan. Just remember one thing. You'll look like a
- 7:29photographer and a reporter. But your job is to stop a bad case of
- 7:32sabotage. Sure as this is supposed to be in this block somewhere. That's
- 7:49right, I'm sine, I want to come to it. I guess it's
- 7:54an old Bolivian custom brook scene. Don't put up sign let them guess.
- 7:59You could ask them that. Yeah, sure, I suppose. So how's
- 8:01your Spanish. Well it's a little on the Mexican side. You've got a
- 8:05camera, Yeah, that's right, and you speak engways, so perhaps you
- 8:11could tell us you'll take my picture? Yeah sure maybe, but I'm looking.
- 8:15I got a friend who is manager in the office of act Me Mines.
- 8:18It's right here this building. You could take my picture there, they
- 8:22act me. Well, yeah I suppose I could. Then you will come
- 8:26with me, mister Vallon and miss Brooks hang on. Wait a minute,
- 8:30how do you know you are expecting you? Mister Valla. I saw you
- 8:33when you got on the plane. I was worried that you might get lost.
- 8:37Yeah, well, since you know so much, where can I find
- 8:39a man by the name of Ed Burke? That's easy? So your Burke
- 8:43is the manager of the card of mine's Bolivian. I take you rich.
- 8:50You think I'm trying to This thing looks a little screwed to me, but
- 8:52we'll go along with a gag. I beg your pardon, senior. I
- 8:56am not a gag whatever that is. Jose, okay, Jose, just
- 9:03take us to Wed Burke. I just one thing before we get down to
- 9:13business, Broke, what's with this Jose character, the little Bolivion who brought
- 9:18you here? Yeah? Oh, Jose's all right. He has that jobs
- 9:22first around here? What sort about jobs? Mister Burke? Little of everything,
- 9:26drives cars, carries messages back and forth between here and the mines.
- 9:31He's a freelance pilot, goodman who has his own plane. I see,
- 9:35a matter of fact, we've been using him as a sort of spy lately.
- 9:39When we go up to the mines. They don't seem to know we're
- 9:41coming. Everything set up for us, but one Jose goes up there,
- 9:46well he doesn't actually work. They never suspect him. Does he found out
- 9:50anything about this sabotage. Hasn't been able to tell us a thing. That's
- 9:54why mister Carter sent you down here. And where are we supposed to start,
- 9:58mister Burke, I don't know exactly. I do know we've got a
- 10:01problem as of right now. Oh what's that? Several days ago a train
- 10:07loaded with or left the mines a couple of hundred miles up in the mountains
- 10:09bound for Enna Fergasto. That's on the coast, isn't it. That's on
- 10:13shipping point. The train would do there two days ago. It never arrived.
- 10:18But you must know what happened to it. We haven't. The least
- 10:22Idea just disappeared into thin air. We know it left the Olandia mine,
- 10:26that's all. Oh who was manning it? Anybody used to strike? Not
- 10:30at all? Both gray road men from the stakes, but it was in
- 10:33charge of the mine. That's when I think of trouble lies the tat men
- 10:37at both O'landia and on cr Germans. But East Germans. You know where
- 10:43their sympathies. Lie, yeah, sure with Russia, of course. But
- 10:46if they're the ones who were responsible for these slow ups, why not fire
- 10:48them? That sounds easy, Valentine, But these men have been in there
- 10:52to be a long time. They're under long term contracts with big penalties at
- 10:56their fire. Oh besides which we can't prove anything. Well, it seems
- 11:03to me the first thing to do right now is to find that missing train
- 11:05that's right so somewhere along the way and nothing else can get through. Okay,
- 11:11let's start from there. You say this, Jose is a good pilot.
- 11:13Oh, yes, very good. Well, I suppose we haven't taken
- 11:16me over the railroad route between here and the mines. Trains don't just vanish,
- 11:20you know, would be very happy to face. My plan is already
- 11:24to be well, well, well, it seems to be handy all the
- 11:28time, Jose. Shit, see it said, maybe a little too handy.
- 11:33Come what say skipping? Can we fly up to the lines in fact
- 11:37before dark? Jose? Shit? If we leave it once, I'm already
- 11:41to go through Angel next trip. I'm just gonna do a little scouting this
- 11:46time. But I'd like to go Valentine's right, Miss Brooks. You'd better
- 11:50go along with Jose this trip. Next time up, we can take you.
- 11:54Well, all right, I'll go back to the hotel and wait for
- 11:58you there. Yeah, okay, if you find anything on the way,
- 12:01Valentine, please let me know at once. All right, but huh,
- 12:03Jose had a radio on this plane. I have smitted right here in the
- 12:07office. Call me as soon as you see anything. Right, come on,
- 12:11let's go warm off. That plane of you isn't get gone. Seen
- 12:24anything in that train yet, Jose, no, senor not. It's pretty
- 12:28hard to see from this altitude. And she comes down a little. Oh
- 12:33no, no, the wind corns over the mother's fasts. They're very bad.
- 12:35Oh yeah, sure. How many cars were there on that train?
- 12:41I think they were seven? Seven? Huh. I should be easy enough
- 12:43to spot even from this hide, that is, if it's still on the
- 12:46track. See if it is still in the train. Hey, hey,
- 12:50wait a minute, to be a starmpard wing a little s Yeah, yeah,
- 12:58there's the train all rides roy, Yeah, but a hundred miles back
- 13:03from the border of Chile. Okay, give me that radio transmitter. See
- 13:07anybody around the train. You see the train has run all the tracks.
- 13:13It's against the canyon wall. There is nothing. Hello Valentine and flight calling
- 13:18bracket, lapis come in lapiz a there Burke, Yes, I'm waiting to
- 13:22hear from you found anything over? Yeah? We spout at your all train
- 13:28all right? The raven healed over against the canyon wall while one hundred miles
- 13:31and the Chilian porter over looking like a bad record. Not too bad,
- 13:35guess the wrecking crew could take care of it. Okay, and the work
- 13:39training up right away? Send you one a time? Yeah, what is
- 13:41it up? Happening? The gas is leaking? How could that happen?
- 13:46I felt at Jo like somebody shooting at a below. Maybe shots hit the
- 13:50gas. Can't you do something? No, no, there's nothing to know.
- 13:52We must play. Are you sure? We had plenty of gas and
- 13:54we started out seeing it's made for false and we must all right, we'll
- 13:58look for a place spur Perk. Are you still there? Yes? Yes,
- 14:03Ah, that was close. Somebody is shooting at us, PreK hit
- 14:07our gas tank. We gotta come down. I know, I know.
- 14:11That's what I'm worrying about. Pint a place in land, Jose, I
- 14:15think so might careful the platza Okay, head for it. Just talking to
- 14:20Jose and I'll listen. Perk, get this. Jose thinks he can land
- 14:24on a plateau. We'll make our way up the canyon to the wreck.
- 14:26All right out in the train. Yeah, we can sure you it's all
- 14:28right if we ever managed to land this crate. In just a moment,
- 14:41we'll return to tonight's adventure of George Valentine. See don't forget the new low

- 16:17now back to tonight's adventure. George Valentine, you're engaged by the head of
- 16:22a large tin mining company to try and discover the source of sabotage and the
- 16:26company's Bolivia mind. Before you can even get to the workings, the plane
- 16:30which you're flying is shot down over the wreck of an ore train. If
- 16:34your name is George Valentine, it's a mighty pleasant feeling when you step out
- 16:38of the bullet riddled plane on solid ground, and when a couple of days
- 16:42later you jump off the work train back in the pond Hi routine you got
- 16:53back here, I don't have Before you realize I've been worried to dance.
- 16:56Sorry I couldn't let you know, Angel, a telegraph's were down. I
- 17:00know. Oh okay, we would you being about us who we came down
- 17:03to meet it. We got worried how the telegraph line has been back in
- 17:07operation all day? And that's in case you didn't know. Oh no,
- 17:11I didn't. Then I suppose you know the R train is just a little
- 17:14bit behind us. We asked that work came down the line too. Tell
- 17:17me what did you find up that direct? Well, it's a clear case
- 17:19of sabotage. One rail of been taken out completely, spikes and all.
- 17:23Huh. You see, we've been trying to work on the idea of sabotage
- 17:26at the mine and probably I'll guest this, I forget the best thing to
- 17:30do is to keep the stuff from getting through, and that's about it.
- 17:33And what we have to do is to check on the mines again. But
- 17:37we twined that not with a news photographer from Events magazine. Oh yeah,
- 17:41I see it means and a reporter from the same magazine. Oh no,
- 17:45Angel, this is man typed up. When do you figure you can get
- 17:48the R train unloaded and started back for Laalania? And don't see a mister
- 17:51Burke. Oh it could be ready to head back up tomorrow night. Good
- 17:53good. I'm going to be on it, complete with camera, complete with
- 17:56paper intent. Oh no, I told you. Oh no, I don't
- 17:59think the old fashioned George. You remember there are a lot of good women
- 18:03reporters in the business. Yes, I happen to work for Avance too.
- 18:06Might be a little dangerous, miss Brooks, especially if they should get on
- 18:08to who you are. They won't come on, George, you must be
- 18:11hungry, okay, brook See, Okay, you win. We'll keep us
- 18:17posted, Broke, and I'll be on that or training when the head's back
- 18:19up into the andies. I mean we will, George, this can't be
- 18:34the lie in your mind. No, we got that sign over there in
- 18:37big letters. But mister Burke said, this is one of the biggest of
- 18:41them. And there's nothing going on around here. Yeah, no, probably
- 18:45another funny strikers. Oh what are we gonna do? You're going to act
- 18:48like a very able magazine reporter. And I hope you didn't forget your camera
- 18:52here' from somebody else. Oh then I beg your present, sir. Yeah,
- 18:59I did not see you get up the train. Why are you Well,
- 19:02my name is Valentine, a photographer for Events magazine back in the States,
- 19:07and this is miss Brooks, reporter from the same magazine. We'd like
- 19:11to see the manager here, I am the manature and name's Miller. What
- 19:15is you want? Oh, I'm sorry, Well, you'd like to see
- 19:18our credentials? Yes, you're a mine or see? Oh? Yes,
- 19:22church, and here am mine. Yeah, let's see. You were sent
- 19:26by the company. You mean act me? Well no, no, we
- 19:32we had to argue pretty hard, even though we had let us of introduction,
- 19:36but they finally let us get on the train. Huh, let's see.
- 19:40Yeah. It doesn't look like we're going to get much of a story
- 19:41here, though, doesn't Why what do you mean, I mean, nothing's
- 19:45happening? What is this a holiday? Oh then no, no, no,
- 19:49it's too bake. You cannot see us in operation. But you see,
- 19:52yesterday one of our machines, one of our most important machines, got
- 19:56out of auder that we have parts broken. But don't you have any extra
- 20:00point these paths? Unfortunately no, I have ordered them from La Paz.
- 20:04We should be in within a few days. Uh huh, Wow, that
- 20:08doesn't help us much for the story and pictures for our magazine. Oh no,
- 20:11I suppose not. But there's nothing I can do, No, no,
- 20:15no, of course. You see, we plan to do quite a
- 20:18layout on both the Lagnia and Unci. Yeah, well, maybe it's better
- 20:22you go back to La Paz and wait until we get in operation. Oh
- 20:26better still, George, why can't we go right on up to be Unca.
- 20:29Mind that train's going to pull out any minute. Yeah, that's right.
- 20:32It's the Valentine for you're good and the safety or the lady. I
- 20:36do not believe it would be wise for you to go on to Uncia at
- 20:38this time. Oh why not? The natives who are working in the minds
- 20:42threatening to strike at any moment, maybe violence. Well that would make an
- 20:48even bigger story, maybe some good action pictures. George. Oh yeah,
- 20:51but I don't like the idea. If you're being up there, there's going
- 20:53to be trouble. You're quite right, mister val I'm a newstable woman,
- 20:56George. If anything happens up there, I'm going to cover it. Well,
- 21:00we've come this far. I guess we've better get the whole story.
- 21:03Well, we'll cover your workings when you're an operation again. That sure?
- 21:11What do you think about him? I think he's one of our sabotaries.
- 21:14I can't just figure o a way to pin anything. We'll have better luck,
- 21:17Aproduncia. Yeah, maybe not. At least we can try. Come
- 21:22on, let's see, let's be show. We're on that train when it
- 21:23pulls out. Funny of activity up here, Aduncia. It doesn't look like
- 21:42any slowdown. That's right. I just had a talk with Schmidt. He's
- 21:45the top foreman now East German. Huh yeah, but very friendly. He
- 21:49may not be mixed up in the sabotaged business at all. The way we
- 21:52do take pictures, how do I guess for the moment? But what was
- 22:00that I jumped a mile? Must be the whistle and ends work for the
- 22:03day. See the man are leaving the buildings over there, but this is
- 22:07early afternoon. Why would they be putting now? I don't know, as
- 22:11it will soon find out. Here comes Schmidt, now we'll ask him.
- 22:15It doesn't look like a very pleasant character to me. All these baby sports
- 22:18sometimes, oh Schmidt, say what's going on here? Why are you closing
- 22:25down? You always stop works, some of them, But you see yesterday
- 22:30works and men over time, so we have a load for the train or
- 22:33not. They can advert them more to day. Oh I see, I
- 22:36see, well that that sort of spoils our pictures again. Yeah, I
- 22:41am so sorry. Maybe you'll go back to the pass from wait until we
- 22:45are working full force again. Now you mean you won't be working for a
- 22:48few days? Is that this shy? As a train is loaded, it
- 22:51always gives them in a few days off. And I guess we're all of
- 22:55lucky. Now you pardon miss as a man over there I must see is
- 22:59a friendom yeah, yeah, okay, mister Schmidt all the time. I
- 23:04just gotta look at that man Schmidt has to see Brocene right over there.
- 23:07Why would that? Oh? I have humans from down at Lallania. That's
- 23:11right. How did you get up here? He didn't come on the tree.
- 23:14Probably in that plane that landed a few minutes ago. Something's up angels?
- 23:18What like they suspect anybody who comes up here? I guess is they're
- 23:22getting together for a council of war about how did you vid that? Or
- 23:26something else? Hey, look they're going in that shack over there. Let's
- 23:30think I'm excited and see if we can hear anything that's a toolhouse or something.
- 23:36It's a clumsy looking thing. You got to be able to hear something
- 23:37through those walls. What you think catch? I see he's driving me.
- 23:41You're telling what they're doing. Careful, I won't. I'll get close here.
- 23:47You watch for anybody coming out a way, to be careful. That's
- 23:52why I have to come here. We have brought us. We have done
- 23:56my dream to slow down supply from the mind. Must stop the supply.
- 24:02That's the only way we can put the American defense work, father, and
- 24:04just for coun if we make it. I fused to work. That's not
- 24:08necessary. If the railroad has put out of commission, no team can be
- 24:12taken out. We tried that before they take the railroad. But when we
- 24:17have finished this time, they will not fix it for many weeks. Listen
- 24:19to me. The all train is loaded and waited to leave for Antipogasta.
- 24:23I know we have company cars, several of them the air Mountain roads.
- 24:30One point, the road comes very close to the railroad line. Remember God.
- 24:33Yeah, By leaving now with dynamite and the detO latter, one can
- 24:37be well ahead of the train when it reaches that point. Who can we
- 24:41trusted to do ourselves, no others MACHOs ourself. Who knows, pat We
- 24:47will be rewarded by the party. That's school, and let us make our
- 24:49preparation. George, what do we do now? What I need? Something
- 24:59about wrecking a train? Yeah, sure, but they don't know we know
- 25:02about it. They're going to stand up on one of the company auders before
- 25:04our train goes back, and as soon as they're out of side, we're
- 25:07going to take another company car and phone. Oh well, I suppose you
- 25:11know what you're doing rough idea bro see, but it might work. You're
- 25:14coming out of that tool shed and heading to the car. See. I
- 25:18think if I get a shot at the mouth of the mine, it'll be
- 25:19pretty good standing over the every side where. Well right, there's good.
- 25:27Yeah, yeah, that's very good. Hold it there, decided anywhere?
- 25:33Oh yeah, yeah. I thought i'd get a few while we're up here,
- 25:37and the pads they would not be very interesting, was as a workers.

- 25:45are leaving on the or train of course, Oh sure, sure, what
- 25:48will it be pulling up in a very few minutes. I suggest you've got
- 25:52a ball yeah. Sure, we'll do that, mister Schmidt, and we'll
- 25:56be seeing you. Well, here's the place, all right, proceed.
- 26:11There's the company car parked up ahead. Yeah, the now by the tracks
- 26:18somewhere. I guess all right, I don't see them anywhere. Just take
- 26:29a quiet like, Angel, don't make any no, it is any more
- 26:32than you have to. Hey, listen, it comes to train. Yeah,
- 26:38we gotta work fast. What are we gonna do? I don't know
- 26:41yet. Just be a voice down. It kept the movies rocks. What
- 26:47did you see something? I thought I heard something over there by the tracks,
- 26:52George, I didn't hear anything. Couldn't be your imagination. I don't
- 26:56think Sorry, Angel, I don't think so. You can see a lot
- 27:02of track from here. Sure that's how they picked this place. I guess
- 27:07the train's almost here. No, not quite, Angel, You can get
- 27:10it a long way in these canyons. Don't be long. Sure, Yeah,
- 27:15there they are. They've been hiding behind those rocks. See yeah,
- 27:18sure, but wait a minute, they nowhere near the tracks, just waiting
- 27:22back here. I wonder, Yeah, sure, what George? I remember
- 27:27now they were talking about dynamite and a Tata. They must be all hooked
- 27:32up and runny. Do you mean they can set it off from here?
- 27:34You stay here for see? What are you gonna do? Speak up as
- 27:37close as I can without attracting their attention to get the drop on him.
- 27:41George, he's putting the plunger on that back. I know he'll keep quiet
- 27:44and come when I caught you. Okay, all right, get away from
- 27:51that box, I said, get away from that back. He'll go.
- 27:56That's quite. You might reach as high as po a con. You're making
- 28:00a mistaken Yeah, you almost made a mistake. Brokcy. You'll see,
- 28:08mister van deconnects. You're gonna explain a lot of things later. Bruxy and
- 28:14Schmidt smart to drop his gun? Si if Bola has one on him,
- 28:18I don't care. Just dynamite hand. Okay, Now, how fast can
- 28:23you get down that bank out of the tracks. I'll try it and see
- 28:26what flag that on t Brucy when you get them stopped, telling them they
- 28:30got four more passengers, two of them for a one way trip. When
- 28:45you buy motor oil for your car, you want protection against where and repair,
- 28:49So listen to the kind of protection a fleet of taxicabs get by using
- 28:53heavy duty RPM motor oil. With another oil, they averaged only thirty five
- 28:59thousand months miles between overhauls. Today, using heavy duty RPM, these same
- 29:04cab travel one hundred thousand miles before overhauling. Heavy duty RPM reduced engineware and
- 29:11greatly increased the time between overhauls. There's your proof that heavy duty RPM motor
- 29:17oil offers top protection and top the economy of operation, the kind you want
- 29:21in your car. So get heavy duty RPM at any independent Chevron gas station
- 29:26or standard station where they say and mean, we take better care of your
- 29:32car. George, What will they do with those man sah stick I'm a
- 29:48jail for a while, sabotage, attemptive murder, stuff like that. Damn,
- 29:52And when they get off, I don't know, fireing back to East
- 29:56Germany. I guess that's where they belong, George. Can you really use
- 30:03that camera for sure? Sure? Will you explain it to somebody so they
- 30:10can take our pictures? Maybe with your arm around me the harbor in the
- 30:18background. Oh, I couldn't let anyone else here, said Angela. And
- 30:23besides, I don't think Events magazine to take that kind of a shop,
- 30:26Old George Lights transcribed Adventure of George Valentine has been brought to you by Standard
- 30:55Oil Company of California on behalf of independent Shevron Gas stations and stand station throughout
- 31:00the West. Robert Daily Is starred as George, with Virginia Gregg as Brooksy.
- 31:06Let George Do It was written by Lloyd London and directed by Kenneth Webb.
- 31:10Ted de Corsia was heard as Carter, Tony Barrett as Jose, James
- 31:14Ducker as Burke, and Fix Feld as Muller. Music is composed and presented
- 31:18by Gaylord Carter. Your announcer John Heaston. Listen again next week, same
- 31:25time, same station, to Let George Do It. Let George Do It
- 31:33as Heart overseas through the worldwide facilities of the Armed Forces Radio Service. This
- 31:41is the mutual Don Lee Broadcasting System. Welcome back. I still wish they'd
- 32:01worked more of a mystery into this plot, just because you know, it
- 32:09was just the solution was so obvious. Let's see, we have some sabotage
- 32:15going on that benefits the communist and we have two people here from communist countries.
- 32:22You know, if they had made these spies, you know, somebody
- 32:25different, it might have worked a little bit better. This, of course,
- 32:30was pretty key for Let George Do It, as it marked George Valenhein's
- 32:36entrns into a lot of the Cold War stories we've heard over the last few
- 32:39months. This, however, I don't think was the better one of the
- 32:45better stories, and I think there were several that were much stronger than this
- 32:50one. All right, Well, we turned a listener comments and feedback,
- 32:53and we have this from Sarah who says, thanks for doing this podcast.
- 32:58I have insomnia and your podcast has kept me company many a night. Also,
- 33:04I've found that the sound quality you provide is much better than other similar
- 33:07podcast I've tried to listen to but had to give up on as being slightly
- 33:12death I struggled to hear them, but I never had that problem with yours.
- 33:15Once again, thanks well, thanks so much, Sarah. I know
- 33:22that early on when my podcast sound volume on the host segments was how some
- 33:28people worried I might cause a hearing problem. But I will say that Andrew
- 33:37Runs really does a lot on the sound quality to make it better and make
- 33:42it more listenable, and so we're glad we're able to make that enjoyable for
