- 0:35Speaker 5: I know.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Y'all have the worst claps.
- 0:38Speaker 5: Well, that was just me for the first few times.
- 0:39Speaker 2: I know.
- 0:40Speaker 5: I couldn't join in.
- 0:40Speaker 1: No, because I couldn't hear at first.
- 0:43Speaker 2: And I was like, oh.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Why could you not hear, Pooh? Because I moved the
- 0:45Speaker 1: cord and it. Cut out. Welcome to the ghetto. We
- 0:50Speaker 1: don't need to have headphones at work. We're supposed to
- 0:52Speaker 1: be a major radio production. I know.
- 0:54Speaker 5: We're doing the best we can.
- 0:55Speaker 1: If I can't hear, I can't clap.
- 0:57Speaker 2: No.
- 0:58Speaker 1: It's never done that.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Can't pop on beat.
- 0:59Speaker 1: How do I know I'm clapping? Just clap with me.
- 1:01Speaker 5: I was clapping.
- 1:03Speaker 1: I only heard one clap.
- 1:04Speaker 5: It was me.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Pathetic little. Thank you, Candice. Yeah, you're welcome. For your
- 1:07Speaker 1: hard work and your dedication to this show.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 1:10Speaker 1: It's never done that to me before. How are you, Candace?
- 1:13Speaker 5: I'm good. I'm good. I just accidentally cleaned out my
- 1:16Speaker 5: purse this morning because I was just looking for something
- 1:18Speaker 5: and I couldn't find it. And I was like, oh,
- 1:20Speaker 5: let me just go ahead and get rid of some
- 1:21Speaker 5: stuff in here. You know what I just pulled out
- 1:23Speaker 5: of my purse?
- 1:23Speaker 1: Please. You should have let us do it on air.
- 1:25Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:26Speaker 5: A Biscoff. Some Biscoff crackers from a flight from American Airlines.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Did you throw them away?
- 1:33Speaker 5: Yeah, they're in the trash can right there. And then
- 1:35Speaker 5: three packs of Smarties. From Halloween?
- 1:38Speaker 2: No, no, no.
- 1:39Speaker 5: From the pizza place we ate on Sunday or Monday
- 1:42Speaker 5: on the way back. We went to Home Sliced Pizza
- 1:44Speaker 5: in Austin. You know, we were in Austin over Labor
- 1:46Speaker 5: Day weekend. She brought the check and put Smarties down.
- 1:49Speaker 5: I threw them in my purse. Just threw those away.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Of course.
- 1:52Speaker 5: I mean, I got all sorts of candy and stuff
- 1:54Speaker 5: in here that I guess I've just been storing in
- 1:56Speaker 5: my purse. I have no idea. Don't have butterscotch.
- 1:59Speaker 6: Do you have any of those red grandma candies? Oh,
- 2:01Speaker 6: those strawberry candies.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Yeah. By the way, does anybody know the real name
- 2:05Speaker 1: of those?
- 2:05Speaker 2: No.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I don't know what it's called. No.
- 2:07Speaker 7: No, they're just strawberry candies.
- 2:09Speaker 1: That's what I thought.
- 2:10Speaker 5: Yeah, just strawberry candy.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Oh, well, at least you cleaned your purse out.
- 2:13Speaker 5: Yeah, I know. I was very happy about that. There
- 2:15Speaker 5: was a granola bar in there. Just threw that out.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. That had been in there from at least,
- 2:20Speaker 1: I don't know, to 2022.
- 2:22Speaker 5: Oh, probably.
- 2:23Speaker 1: That didn't survive COVID.
- 2:24Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, this purse is from 2009. I bought it.
- 2:26Speaker 5: I've cleaned it out since then, but it's, like, one
- 2:29Speaker 5: of my oldest purses.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I want to know the craziest thing that people have
- 2:32Speaker 1: in their purses right now. I've done this contest before,
- 2:34Speaker 1: and it's always fun.
- 2:35Speaker 5: Well, I was going to keep going, but then we
- 2:36Speaker 5: had to start the show, so.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Oh, well, you can do it on the air.
- 2:39Speaker 5: Yeah, well, you guys don't want to see what else
- 2:41Speaker 5: is in there.
- 2:41Speaker 1: No, actually, I do.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:43Speaker 1: You know Billy did it. You know I'm nosy. CSI. Well,
- 2:46Speaker 1: good for you, Candace. Yeah, thanks.
- 2:47Speaker 5: I feel good about it.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Good.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Producer Pooh is here cleaning out his man purse. No.
- 2:52Speaker 3: I'm Merce.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Yeah, you're Merce. What's in there? Nothing. What's up with you?
- 2:56Speaker 7: Yesterday, I got judged real hard. Do you ever judge
- 2:58Speaker 7: somebody eating in their car?
- 3:00Speaker 1: No. Yesterday, I went and picked.
- 3:02Speaker 7: Up some Eatsies, a chicken breast, Caesar chicken breast sandwich.
- 3:06Speaker 7: And I was like, I'm going to wait until I
- 3:08Speaker 7: get home. But I got right here off Inwood, and
- 3:10Speaker 7: I was like, yeah, I'm about to dig in.
- 3:13Speaker 1: So I started eating. Were you driving? Yeah, I was driving.
- 3:16Speaker 2: See?
- 3:16Speaker 5: Of course.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Oh.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I can't eat and drive.
- 3:18Speaker 2: No.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I stopped at a stoplight. And you know what the
- 3:22Speaker 1: problem is?
- 3:23Speaker 6: He's in a truck with the show logo on it
- 3:26Speaker 6: with all of our faces on it, swerving.
- 3:28Speaker 3: All over the place.
- 3:30Speaker 1: No, I wasn't swerving. I stopped at the stoplight. I
- 3:32Speaker 1: don't know what happened, but I was hitting curbs.
- 3:35Speaker 6: People take pictures of him driving all over the place,
- 3:38Speaker 6: texting and going, hey, I saw your boy Pooh hit
- 3:40Speaker 6: a curb in Garland.
- 3:44Speaker 1: No, he does.
- 3:45Speaker 3: No, no.
- 3:46Speaker 7: No, I stopped at the stoplight and I was like,
- 3:47Speaker 7: let me just get one bite because the sandwich looks
- 3:49Speaker 7: so good.
- 3:50Speaker 5: Yeah, a solid bite will keep you for a couple blocks.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 3:52Speaker 1: So I bit into it. I looked over.
- 3:55Speaker 7: This lady was looking at me like, ugh. She gave
- 3:57Speaker 7: me a frown like, Why are you eating in your car?
- 4:00Speaker 7: But I was like, I'm hungry. But you can eat
- 4:02Speaker 7: in your car. I just felt the eyes on me.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Don't look at me.
- 4:05Speaker 7: Felt the eyes on me. Then I got to the
- 4:07Speaker 7: next light. And then another guy was.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Staring at me.
- 4:10Speaker 5: Are you sure you weren't hitting curbs?
- 4:11Speaker 1: No.
- 4:12Speaker 5: I feel like that's probably what it was.
- 4:14Speaker 1: How can you hit a curb eating a sandwich? What
- 4:17Speaker 1: do you mean? I've seen you do it. Not eating
- 4:19Speaker 1: a sandwich.
- 4:20Speaker 2: No.
- 4:21Speaker 5: It's the only time you hit curbs when you're eating a.
- 4:23Speaker 6: Sandwich in your car. I've seen you hit a curb
- 4:27Speaker 6: doing less than that.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Dude, I know how to drive. Listen, you know what?
- 4:32Speaker 1: Why don't I just retake the driver's test? Somebody give
- 4:34Speaker 1: me a driver's. I can drive. It's not about that
- 4:37Speaker 1: you can drive. We know you can drive.
- 4:39Speaker 5: Right.
- 4:39Speaker 6: The fact of the matter is you just distract yourself.
- 4:43Speaker 6: And then you're shocked when you swerve all over the place.
- 4:45Speaker 1: I didn't swerve. And then he road rages on the people. No, no.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Road rage? No, that's you. That's your department. You know
- 4:53Speaker 1: you road rage. I know. I do road rage.
- 4:57Speaker 5: This was about poo.
- 4:58Speaker 1: But I'm locked in when I'm doing it.
- 5:02Speaker 6: And I'm in a straight line, and that's why I'm
- 5:04Speaker 6: road raging. If I was distracted, I wouldn't even care
- 5:08Speaker 6: what other people were doing because I'm swerving all over
- 5:10Speaker 6: the place.
- 5:10Speaker 5: That's a good point.
- 5:11Speaker 2: That's true.
- 5:12Speaker 1: No.
- 5:13Speaker 7: I was in the middle lane, minding my business, took
- 5:15Speaker 7: a quick bite, but I looked over. Somebody on the
- 5:18Speaker 7: left-hand side was staring at.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Me, and I was like, okay. How's there a left-hand side?
- 5:21Speaker 1: Because there's three lanes, dude. Three lanes.
- 5:23Speaker 5: You were in the middle?
- 5:24Speaker 1: Right here. I was in the middle. Yeah, I was
- 5:25Speaker 1: in the middle lane.
- 5:26Speaker 5: But were you in our van? Because they can't see
- 5:29Speaker 5: inside our mixed truck.
- 5:30Speaker 1: No, I was in the other mixed truck.
- 5:34Speaker 5: Oh, okay, where they can't see.
- 5:36Speaker 6: I was driving extra bad, so I wanted to make
- 5:38Speaker 6: sure the bigger picture of.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Billy was on it.
- 5:41Speaker 6: Because guess what they say? They're like, oh, man, you
- 5:44Speaker 6: wouldn't believe this. I was on 635, and Billy the
- 5:46Speaker 6: Kid cut me off.
- 5:47Speaker 5: Oh, they think it's you driving it.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Yeah, of course.
- 5:52Speaker 6: The fact of the matter is I've never driven ever
- 5:56Speaker 6: one of these trucks ever with my name or face
- 5:58Speaker 6: or show logo on it because I don't want to
- 6:00Speaker 6: be responsible for that.
- 6:01Speaker 1: He's rode in it with me, but he's never driven.
- 6:04Speaker 1: If I have to. Don't text and drive. It's like
- 6:08Speaker 1: riding a Six Flags ride. Blindfolded.
- 6:14Speaker 2: The new Mix 102.9.
- 6:16Speaker 4: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 6:20Speaker 4: Kid in the morning.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Hi, Candace Lopez. What is going on?
- 6:25Speaker 5: Well, we have now officially tied a record from 1955.
- 6:27Speaker 5: North Texas has gone 54 days without measurable rain. We're
- 6:33Speaker 5: in the middle of the sixth longest dry streak on record.
- 6:37Speaker 5: I guess July 16th was the last day we had
- 6:39Speaker 5: legit rain at the official spot at DFW Airport where
- 6:42Speaker 5: they measure rain.
- 6:44Speaker 1: It wasn't even that much when that happened.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Right.
- 6:46Speaker 1: By the way. So, yeah, I know. And I don't
- 6:48Speaker 1: see any rain in the future. Do we have any rain?
- 6:50Speaker 2: Right.
- 6:50Speaker 5: Something's got to give. I mean, there's really, really small
- 6:53Speaker 5: chances of rain tomorrow afternoon, tomorrow night. uh, for certain areas,
- 6:58Speaker 5: but honestly, nothing major.
- 7:00Speaker 4: Great.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I was going to say, maybe we send poo out
- 7:02Speaker 1: to do some kind of like rain dance.
- 7:04Speaker 5: Let's look it up. Can we do one of those
- 7:05Speaker 5: Etsy spells or whatever? Remember the girl called in about
- 7:09Speaker 5: the Etsy.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Witch to do something.
- 7:13Speaker 6: I'll AI and see if there's a dance we can
- 7:14Speaker 6: do or send poo out on the tollway.
- 7:16Speaker 1: I don't know what we can do.
- 7:17Speaker 5: Exactly. Well, stay tuned guys. Uh, big day today for Apple.
- 7:21Speaker 5: They're expected to debut a foldable iPhone today at their
- 7:25Speaker 5: annual product event. Uh, called Surprise and Shine. The early
- 7:28Speaker 5: reports are saying it could be called the iPhone Ultra.
- 7:32Speaker 5: It would open and close like a book. This would
- 7:35Speaker 5: be the iPhone's biggest redesign since launching in 2007. That
- 7:38Speaker 5: price point is expected to be at least $ 2, 000. Yeah,
- 7:43Speaker 5: other products to be announced, the iPhone 18 Pro and
- 7:46Speaker 5: Pro Max, AirPods 5. But this will be the first
- 7:50Speaker 5: launch event for Apple's new CEO since he took over
- 7:52Speaker 5: for Tim Cook. But that event kicks off at noon today.
- 7:56Speaker 5: You can watch it on YouTube, Apple's event page, or
- 7:58Speaker 5: Apple TV.
- 7:59Speaker 1: I heard the new AirPods, they have cameras in them.
- 8:02Speaker 5: They do?
- 8:02Speaker 1: That's what somebody told me. I don't know if it's true. Now,
- 8:04Speaker 1: let me do my research.
- 8:05Speaker 5: Here in a minute. Yeah, check MacRumors or whatever.
- 8:07Speaker 6: Yeah, but it's like they got cameras so they can
- 8:08Speaker 6: see where you're at and what you're doing. I'm like,
- 8:10Speaker 6: do we need cameras on everything?
- 8:12Speaker 5: No, stop.
- 8:13Speaker 1: I mean, we got flock cameras. We got AirPod cameras.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Now there's a camera on my car.
- 8:17Speaker 5: Metaglasses.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Blue's got a camera on them. Yeah. It's insane.
- 8:22Speaker 5: It is insane. Guys, listen to this. A new report
- 8:25Speaker 5: says Americans may be spending way more time in the
- 8:27Speaker 5: shower than we need to be. An environmental scientist is
- 8:31Speaker 5: going viral for saying three minutes is enough for a
- 8:34Speaker 5: basic body shower.
- 8:35Speaker 1: No, three minutes?
- 8:36Speaker 6: I don't have time to watch one episode of Cops.
- 8:39Speaker 6: In three minutes? No, I'm in the shower for at
- 8:42Speaker 6: least ten.
- 8:42Speaker 5: Well, I mean, he's saying if you're going to wash
- 8:44Speaker 5: your hair, add a couple extra minutes. But the average
- 8:46Speaker 5: American shower lasts about 16 minutes, but that's way too long,
- 8:50Speaker 5: they're saying.
- 8:51Speaker 1: No, that's average. Yeah. And I think it's perfect. Okay.
- 8:54Speaker 1: I mean, come on.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Really?
- 8:55Speaker 5: I mean, this morning I'm probably in there five minutes.
- 8:58Speaker 6: I don't take showers in the morning, though, most of
- 9:00Speaker 6: the time because we get up too early, so I'll
- 9:02Speaker 6: do it the night before.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:03Speaker 1: And that's my me time where I just kind of.
- 9:06Speaker 1: You know, I hang my phone up. I'll make a
- 9:07Speaker 1: couple calls.
- 9:08Speaker 5: That's weird. You're wasting so much water making calls in
- 9:12Speaker 5: the shower.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Well, I'm clean.
- 9:15Speaker 5: That's good.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Do I smell good?
- 9:16Speaker 5: We appreciate that.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Well, I don't put on cologne because Candace will yell
- 9:19Speaker 1: at us.
- 9:19Speaker 5: Yeah, well, it's fine. You don't need it. We're in here.
- 9:21Speaker 5: We're just hanging out.
- 9:22Speaker 1: It's fine. You like my musk?
- 9:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:23Speaker 5: Well, I mean, there's no musk.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Either way. There's no musk. I say my shower's about
- 9:28Speaker 1: 17 minutes. If Pooh doesn't answer, it's like 10 minutes.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:31Speaker 5: Oh, my gosh.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I can't believe you be calling me, Candace.
- 9:35Speaker 5: Three minutes, guys. Three minutes to wash your body. I'm
- 9:37Speaker 5: Candace Lopez. Those are your Texas Top Stories.
- 9:40Speaker 6: We got a Dirty Little Secret coming up at 7.30
- 9:43Speaker 6: on Mix 102.9. It's Bailey the Kid, Candace Lopez, producer
- 9:46Speaker 6: Poo is here. And Dirty Little Secret you do not
- 9:48Speaker 6: want to miss. This guy had to do something real hard.
- 9:50Speaker 6: I know a little bit about the story. And he
- 9:53Speaker 6: basically had to.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Turn his mom into the city.
- 9:55Speaker 2: What?
- 9:56Speaker 6: I i can't give it all away but just listen
- 9:58Speaker 6: at 7 30 he had to make a really hard
- 10:00Speaker 6: choice and it's a wild story dirty little secret 7
- 10:03Speaker 6: 30 right now four pack of passes to fort worth
- 10:06Speaker 6: stock show and rodeo who's.
- 10:07Speaker 1: This this is natalie.

- 10:13Speaker 6: There you go, Natalie. Where are you from?
- 10:15Speaker 1: From Dallas, Texas.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Oh, cool.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Well, congrats. What are you doing right now?
- 10:19Speaker 5: I just dropped off my daughter at a dress practice.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Well, good.
- 10:23Speaker 6: Well, you got an early start today. Well, I'm happy
- 10:26Speaker 6: to hook you up, and thank you so much for listening, Natalie.
- 10:28Speaker 6: Are you off to work now, or do you get
- 10:29Speaker 6: to go home and take a nap?
- 10:31Speaker 3: No, I get to go to work.
- 10:34Speaker 1: This is awful. Why can't we just hit the lotto?
- 10:36Speaker 5: Seriously.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Stay right there, Natalie. You know what I'm saying?
- 10:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:40Speaker 1: We got to go to work.
- 10:41Speaker 6: At least we got a cool job. Natalie does, too.
- 10:43Speaker 5: For sure.
- 10:44Speaker 6: She said she likes what she does. So, Natalie, you
- 10:45Speaker 6: stay right there. Thank you so much. We appreciate you
- 10:48Speaker 6: having us on.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Are you ready, sir? Real or fake news, Candace? Yeah.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Who are you ready? I'm ready.
- 10:52Speaker 6: I'm going to give you three headlines. You're going to
- 10:53Speaker 6: tell me which one is a fake story. And it's
- 10:55Speaker 6: tough because the news is insane. Like, the news is,
- 10:59Speaker 6: it's so easy for me to find. Like, back in
- 11:01Speaker 6: the day when I used to do this, it was hard.
- 11:03Speaker 5: I'm still over living in unprecedented times.
- 11:06Speaker 2: You know?
- 11:08Speaker 1: You know what? That is a quote of the day.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I am so over living in unprecedented times.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:14Speaker 1: I really am. All right. Headline number one. Texas man
- 11:17Speaker 1: shoots cousin after argument over who cooked spicier enchiladas. Texas
- 11:24Speaker 1: man shoots cousin after argument over who cooked spicier enchiladas.
- 11:29Speaker 1: That's headline number one. Headline number two.
- 11:32Speaker 6: Missouri foster mom accused of trading teenager for monkey avoids prison.
- 11:37Speaker 7: What?
- 11:39Speaker 6: Missouri foster mom accused me, not me, accused of trading
- 11:43Speaker 6: a teenager for a monkey avoids prison.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Oh, my head hurts.
- 11:48Speaker 1: These are unprecedented times. They are. Headline number three.
- 11:51Speaker 6: Cruise passenger banned after taking the buffet's entire cheese wheel
- 11:56Speaker 6: to her room. Cruise passenger banned after taking the entire
- 12:02Speaker 6: buffet's cheese.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Wheel to her room. I get that, actually.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Nice.
- 12:07Speaker 1: All right, you have three choices.
- 12:09Speaker 6: Candice Lopez, do you want to go first, or would
- 12:10Speaker 6: you like to pass it to LaPoopoo, a.k.a.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Clarence, a.k.a. Tyrone, a.k.a. Tito? Tito, I got Tito.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Tito.
- 12:20Speaker 1: What else do we used to call?
- 12:21Speaker 5: Theo. Oh, I forgot Theo.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Theo. He's a man of many names.
- 12:26Speaker 2: He is.
- 12:26Speaker 5: No, I don't want to go first today.
- 12:28Speaker 7: All right, which one is the fake story? I'm going
- 12:32Speaker 7: to go with that first story. You're arguing over spicy enchiladas.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Okay, you don't think that's real? No, I don't think
- 12:37Speaker 1: that's real. That's not happening at the Asada. I don't
- 12:40Speaker 1: know that. No, please go down at the Asada. Yeah,
- 12:42Speaker 1: not that. But I'm not invited to the Asada. Yeah,
- 12:44Speaker 1: you are. Actually, I am. Yeah, you are. All the
- 12:47Speaker 1: homies tell me. Ay te guacho.
- 12:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:52Speaker 1: My son's doing Spanish, and he's like, Dad, can you
- 12:54Speaker 1: teach me some Spanish? I'm like, son, I only know
- 12:56Speaker 1: swear words. Sorry. All right, let's lock that in right now.
- 13:01Speaker 1: You are locked in. Candace Lopez, which one do you
- 13:02Speaker 1: think is the fake story?
- 13:03Speaker 5: You know what? Lock me in for the cheese wheel story.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Really?
- 13:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Things happen on cruise ships, though, Candace.
- 13:09Speaker 5: No, I know, and I enjoy the cruise life.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Well.
- 13:12Speaker 5: For sure.
- 13:13Speaker 6: You know a guy sitting in front of you that
- 13:15Speaker 6: would steal an entire cheese wheel.
- 13:17Speaker 1: You know I would.
- 13:18Speaker 5: That's true.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Well, it doesn't matter. Let's lock it in. And the
- 13:21Speaker 1: winner today, real or fake news, is Candace. That is
- 13:36Speaker 1: the fake story. You're good, Candace.
- 13:38Speaker 5: Thanks.
- 13:39Speaker 1: You are hard to trick.
- 13:40Speaker 6: You're a smart little cheddar cheese wheel.
- 13:43Speaker 5: Yeah i just you know cheese is your thing so
- 13:45Speaker 5: i felt like he probably made some story up about
- 13:47Speaker 5: cheese his fantasy on the on the cruise ship.
- 13:49Speaker 1: I like the way you think and you're right yeah
- 13:51Speaker 1: you're right i was thinking about cheese on the way
- 13:53Speaker 1: to work and i said i had my fake headline
- 13:55Speaker 1: story in my head on the tollway because i was
- 13:57Speaker 1: craving cheese i have no cheese in my cheese drawer
- 14:01Speaker 1: in the fridge i'm just trying to eat better Okay.
- 14:04Speaker 1: It sucks, man. You usually have at least a stick
- 14:07Speaker 1: or something. I don't even have a slice of Velveeta. Wow.
- 14:10Speaker 5: That's not cheese anyways.
- 14:12Speaker 1: I know, but it's good. Whatever it is. Okay, let's
- 14:15Speaker 1: get to the real stories. A Missouri foster mom accused
- 14:18Speaker 1: of trading a teenager for a monkey avoids prison.
- 14:21Speaker 5: What?
- 14:22Speaker 1: A 70-year-old Missouri foster mother accused of trading a teenage
- 14:25Speaker 1: girl for a monkey will avoid prison after a judge
- 14:27Speaker 1: suspended her seven-year sentence. Yep, Brenda Deutsch.
- 14:32Speaker 6: Was convicted of child endangerment and placed on three years
- 14:36Speaker 6: of probation.
- 14:37Speaker 1: So, wait, you can do this and only get probation?
- 14:39Speaker 5: That's awful. Wild.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Well, the judge also revoked her. Oh, well, at least
- 14:45Speaker 1: he revoked her foster care license.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 14:47Speaker 5: At least he can do it.
- 14:48Speaker 6: She said, authorities said Brenda sent the girl to a
- 14:51Speaker 6: Texas home filled with exotic animals and allegedly allowed the
- 14:54Speaker 6: woman to keep her there.
- 14:56Speaker 1: In trade, she got a monkey.
- 14:58Speaker 2: What?
- 15:00Speaker 1: So, yeah, I mean, thank God. I just hope that
- 15:02Speaker 1: girl is safe.
- 15:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Teenage girl getting traded for a monkey.
- 15:05Speaker 5: What in the world?
- 15:06Speaker 1: I do want a monkey, though.
- 15:08Speaker 5: Yeah, I've always wanted one.
- 15:09Speaker 1: You know, is it legal to own a monkey in Texas?
- 15:11Speaker 5: I think so. Remember that lady who had the little
- 15:13Speaker 5: baby one with the diaper that got lost or whatever?
- 15:15Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, that's right. Either way, well, I'm going to
- 15:18Speaker 1: get on Facebook Marketplace and look for a monkey, too.
- 15:20Speaker 2: All right.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Go to Canton. Oh, man. First Mondays?
- 15:23Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 15:24Speaker 1: What? Get you anything in Canton. You sure can. All right,
- 15:27Speaker 1: Texas man shoots cousin. After an argument over who cooked
- 15:31Speaker 1: the spiciest enchiladas.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Oh, boy.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Candace, can you say enchiladas? You say it better. Enchiladas. Oh,
- 15:37Speaker 1: say it again.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Enchiladas.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Look at you.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Yum.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Enchiladas. Enchiladas. I'm going to go to somewhere today and
- 15:45Speaker 1: just say it like that.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:47Speaker 1: I like when they surprise when I can actually say stuff.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:51Speaker 5: You're good.
- 15:51Speaker 1: Yes, I would like dos enchiladas. Well, his name's Irvin.
- 15:58Speaker 6: Irvin allegedly shot his cousin Nathaniel after an argument over
- 16:03Speaker 6: spicier enchiladas escalated. You know, they're at the Asada after
- 16:07Speaker 6: a few too many drinks, you think? The 25-year-old cousin
- 16:12Speaker 6: basically shot the other guy because he said his enchiladas
- 16:16Speaker 6: were spicier.
- 16:18Speaker 1: They got into it, and, you know, how do you
- 16:21Speaker 1: come back from that as a family?
- 16:23Speaker 5: Enchilada rage?
- 16:24Speaker 1: Enchilada rage is real.
- 16:25Speaker 5: Why?
- 16:26Speaker 2: It really is.
- 16:26Speaker 5: It's not worth it. Just eat.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Just eat.
- 16:29Speaker 1: Just eat enchiladas. Yeah. Enchiladas. I like the way Candace says.
- 16:35Speaker 5: Enchiladas.
- 16:35Speaker 2: No, no, no.
- 16:36Speaker 1: I like the way you say that, but I really
- 16:37Speaker 1: like the way you say guacamole.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Say that.
- 16:41Speaker 5: Guacamole.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Yeah! Woo! I should have been Mexican. I love it.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:47Speaker 1: I should have been Mexican.
- 16:48Speaker 5: I'm only half, barely.
- 16:49Speaker 1: I know, but I'm not even half. I'm not even 1%.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Surely you are. No, I did a DNA test. Are
- 16:55Speaker 1: you sure? I thought I was Native American.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Oh. Yeah.
- 16:57Speaker 1: My whole life, I thought I was Native American and whatever.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Cherokee or something. I'm not even Cherokee.
- 17:01Speaker 5: You can be whatever you want to be.
- 17:03Speaker 1: I can? Sort of. Okay. Well, then I'll be an enchilada.
- 17:07Speaker 1: All right. Mix 102.9. Good morning.
- 17:12Speaker 6: It's Bailey the Kid. Candice Lopez is here. Producer Pooh
- 17:15Speaker 6: is here. I'm reading this story right now and I'm
- 17:17Speaker 6: like blown away because I don't know, maybe it's because
- 17:20Speaker 6: we're 80s and 90s babies or whatever kids, whatever.
- 17:23Speaker 1: In some cases, Pooh was a 60s kid. Whatever the case,
- 17:27Speaker 1: maybe he's a little bit older.
- 17:31Speaker 6: Maybe it's just a little crazy to me because when
- 17:34Speaker 6: we were kids and I try to explain this to
- 17:36Speaker 6: my son, who's 15. When we were kids, we were
- 17:39Speaker 6: allowed to do things that if you were to do today,
- 17:41Speaker 6: you're like, no.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Yeah. It would be considered insane. You know, we were
- 17:45Speaker 1: allowed to go places and do things. And sometimes I wonder,
- 17:48Speaker 1: I'm like, were we living in a different time or
- 17:51Speaker 1: just the perception different?
- 17:52Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know. I think it was different.
- 17:54Speaker 1: It was because we would do things at a young
- 17:57Speaker 1: age and we would just be out and about. We
- 18:00Speaker 1: were just feral. Yeah. We were feral. For sure. We're
- 18:03Speaker 1: all over the place.
- 18:04Speaker 5: No way to contact us.
- 18:05Speaker 1: No, no phones, no nothing, no cameras, no flock cameras.
- 18:09Speaker 1: We were just out here living our best life in
- 18:10Speaker 1: the wild. This mom is looking at a six month
- 18:14Speaker 1: jail sentence because of what she let her kid do.
- 18:17Speaker 6: And people are going back and forth about it. So
- 18:19Speaker 6: I want to know what you think as a mom.
- 18:20Speaker 6: I don't like to, you know, parent shame and right. Well,
- 18:23Speaker 6: this mom is wrong unless it's something blatantly, obviously wrong.
- 18:27Speaker 6: So this kid, he's five years old. So mom, her
- 18:31Speaker 6: name is Carrie Ann. This is in Virginia. They live
- 18:34Speaker 6: in a gated community. And she let her kid walk
- 18:38Speaker 6: to a pond about a half a mile away because
- 18:41Speaker 6: he wanted to collect feathers.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Oh, right.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:46Speaker 6: Somebody sees this kid walk into the pond and then
- 18:49Speaker 6: walking around the pond, picking up feathers and like walking
- 18:51Speaker 6: back or whatever.
- 18:52Speaker 1: And it's like, what is this five year old kid doing? Yeah.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Calls the police. Police come. He's like, no, I'm just
- 18:58Speaker 1: collecting feathers. My mom knows I'm here. They go home,
- 19:01Speaker 1: talk to the mom. Either way, she has to go
- 19:04Speaker 1: to court because the cops are like, no, you can't
- 19:07Speaker 1: do that. Judge convicts her.
- 19:10Speaker 2: What?
- 19:11Speaker 1: Convicts her of contributing to the delinquency of a minor
- 19:15Speaker 1: and then sends her basically suspending a jail time sentence
- 19:19Speaker 1: of six months, so if she doesn't follow the rules
- 19:22Speaker 1: exactly to a T, she's going to jail.
- 19:25Speaker 5: Wow.
- 19:26Speaker 6: And I'm wondering what you think about that, because now,
- 19:29Speaker 6: would I let my son at five years old walk
- 19:32Speaker 6: anywhere near water?
- 19:33Speaker 1: Probably not. No. Not water.
- 19:36Speaker 6: Would I let him go anywhere? I mean, I think
- 19:38Speaker 6: I was definitely different. I was more of a hovering
- 19:40Speaker 6: parent than, you know, some, some, but I know plenty
- 19:44Speaker 6: of parents who probably would have done this.
- 19:46Speaker 5: Yeah, half a mile in a gated community.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Half a mile, gated community. very safe neighborhood. And I
- 19:51Speaker 1: know things happen close to home and I know things
- 19:53Speaker 1: happen in safe places. So don't get me wrong. child
- 19:58Speaker 1: abuse and to go to jail.
- 19:59Speaker 5: Yeah that's tough too because she told him to go
- 20:02Speaker 5: uh go there and come right back so it's like
- 20:04Speaker 5: one of those sort of like independent and he was
- 20:06Speaker 5: learning moments.
- 20:07Speaker 6: And he was but you think half a mile is
- 20:09Speaker 6: not that far but for a five-year-old it's pretty far
- 20:12Speaker 6: it's pretty far.
- 20:13Speaker 5: Yeah i mean to go near water yeah i hadn't
- 20:15Speaker 5: even thought.
- 20:15Speaker 6: Of that i wouldn't let you know no there that's
- 20:18Speaker 6: when accidents happen and it's something it's the kid's still
- 20:21Speaker 6: five But should she go to jail is what people
- 20:24Speaker 6: are really, you know, should she be convicted of child
- 20:27Speaker 6: abuse or should this be a warning?
- 20:29Speaker 1: And go, hey, you can't do that.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Right.
- 20:31Speaker 1: You can't do that. But then think about the things
- 20:32Speaker 1: we used to do.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Right.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Think about the crazy stuff we used to do as kids.
- 20:36Speaker 5: I don't know if I did that when I was five.
- 20:38Speaker 2: No.
- 20:39Speaker 5: And not by myself.
- 20:41Speaker 7: I walked everywhere. I know I got over 100,000 miles
- 20:44Speaker 7: on my feet. My mom used to be like, I
- 20:47Speaker 7: can't take you.
- 20:48Speaker 1: You got to walk. I just walked.
- 20:50Speaker 7: But when you were five years old. I don't think five,
- 20:53Speaker 7: but I know seven and eight. I was walking everywhere.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Yeah. I was walking everywhere. You know what? Now that
- 20:59Speaker 1: I think about it. I mean, I was eight.
- 21:01Speaker 5: Years old going.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Up to the grocery store and staying up there playing
- 21:05Speaker 1: video games. Eight years old. Eight years old? Going to Menards. Menards.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Wow.
- 21:12Speaker 7: Playing video games. I had a pocket full of quarters
- 21:14Speaker 7: to just stay there all day. Okay, that kind of
- 21:17Speaker 7: shocks me.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:18Speaker 6: Not that you went, that they had video games back then.
- 21:23Speaker 6: They actually had those?
- 21:24Speaker 1: Yeah, they did.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Really?
- 21:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I'd be playing Galaga and Ms. Pac-Man all day.
- 21:29Speaker 1: You had to be a... No, the timeline doesn't match up.
- 21:32Speaker 6: I think you were in college when that came out.
- 21:39Speaker 4: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 21:41Speaker 4: Kid in the morning.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 21:44Speaker 6: All right, the one and only Candace Lopez. Everything we
- 21:47Speaker 6: need to know.
- 21:48Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 21:48Speaker 5: Well, Dallas City Council members met with Flock yesterday to
- 21:51Speaker 5: discuss concerns about the cameras in the city. Flock now
- 21:54Speaker 5: says they are doing proactive auditing of police departments and
- 21:59Speaker 5: their search patterns of these databases. So now they're saying, look,
- 22:02Speaker 5: if we determine there's something wrong, unique about searches happening
- 22:06Speaker 5: in the police departments we will alert department leaders and
- 22:09Speaker 5: then they can handle it a representative for flock also
- 22:12Speaker 5: emphasized the cameras do not have facial recognition technology they
- 22:17Speaker 5: say the cameras are only used for investigative purposes yeah
- 22:21Speaker 5: right but this conversation is like something new with the
- 22:24Speaker 5: flock cameras every day yeah.
- 22:25Speaker 6: Because they're tracing us they're watching me go to kroger
- 22:29Speaker 6: yeah i don't know what they want but they're following.
- 22:31Speaker 5: Me right watching poo eat in his car yeah.
- 22:34Speaker 1: He's Wait, did you hear this story? I don't know
- 22:37Speaker 1: if it's true or not. I got to do some
- 22:38Speaker 1: research because, you know, so much stuff is fake online.
- 22:40Speaker 3: Right.
- 22:41Speaker 5: You have to fact check everything.
- 22:43Speaker 6: And I was trying to, but then I got distracted
- 22:45Speaker 6: because I also have ADD at the same time.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Right.
- 22:47Speaker 6: So there's a story going around that a guy gets
- 22:50Speaker 6: into a cyber cab, one of the new Tesla cyber cabs.
- 22:52Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 22:53Speaker 1: And it drove him straight to jail.
- 22:55Speaker 2: What?
- 22:56Speaker 1: Why?
- 22:56Speaker 6: Because they have facial recognition that realized he was on
- 23:00Speaker 6: a wanted list.
- 23:01Speaker 1: And it drove him to the police station.
- 23:04Speaker 2: What?
- 23:04Speaker 5: Wait, you did fact check this or we need to?
- 23:06Speaker 1: No, I started to and then I got sidetracked.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 23:10Speaker 6: But it doesn't matter if it happened or not. I'm
- 23:12Speaker 6: sure it probably didn't.
- 23:13Speaker 4: Right.
- 23:13Speaker 1: The fact of the matter is.
- 23:14Speaker 5: It could.
- 23:15Speaker 1: That's what people are saying why you should be worried
- 23:17Speaker 1: about on these cameras and facial recognition. And then some
- 23:20Speaker 1: people are like, well, if you have nothing to hide.
- 23:22Speaker 5: Right. They see me like, oh, cool. She's on Instagram
- 23:25Speaker 5: all day, whatever.
- 23:26Speaker 1: Exactly. Yeah. But either way, it's a fine line.
- 23:30Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Of what they're going to use it for.
- 23:31Speaker 2: No, it is.
- 23:32Speaker 5: I saw a bunch of those cyber cabs or whatever
- 23:35Speaker 5: down in Austin when I was there over the weekend.
- 23:37Speaker 5: And there was like a standoff between two cars because
- 23:40Speaker 5: it was trying to pull into the charging station. And
- 23:43Speaker 5: it was like blocking. And then it saw another Tesla
- 23:45Speaker 5: pull up.
- 23:46Speaker 1: And it didn't know what to do.
- 23:47Speaker 5: Well, it paused for a minute and then it backed
- 23:49Speaker 5: into the spot. Yeah, but it wasn't charging because we
- 23:52Speaker 5: were like, well, who's going to plug it in?
- 23:54Speaker 1: Right.
- 23:54Speaker 5: Yeah, how does it plug it in? I don't know.
- 23:56Speaker 5: We watched it sit there. My husband went up and
- 23:59Speaker 5: talked to it. He was like, maybe it'll hear my voice.
- 24:01Speaker 5: He was like, do you need to charge?
- 24:03Speaker 1: It didn't do anything.
- 24:04Speaker 5: Well, because you think about it, you're like, what happens?
- 24:07Speaker 5: Does someone get a perk if they plug the cyber cabin?
- 24:10Speaker 5: I never thought about that.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Yeah, like somebody plug me in. Hello?
- 24:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:13Speaker 1: I don't have arms. Hello? Yeah, never thought about that.
- 24:16Speaker 5: Yeah, we'll see, though. Those are interesting.
- 24:18Speaker 1: It's like a gang, too, like Waymos versus Teslas.
- 24:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:21Speaker 1: I saw one of them sideswipe another Waymo sideswipe a Tesla. Oh, yeah?
- 24:26Speaker 1: Just because they had beef.
- 24:28Speaker 5: I'm sure. I'm sure. Guys, the Girl Scouts are debuting
- 24:32Speaker 5: two new cookies, including their first cookie for dogs. So
- 24:36Speaker 5: this is called Patch Pals. It's a soft baked blueberry
- 24:39Speaker 5: muffin flavored dog treat. They've also announced sparkles. This is
- 24:43Speaker 5: going to be their first cookie for families with food allergies.
- 24:47Speaker 5: So these are like gluten free, nut free, vegan. They
- 24:50Speaker 5: have chocolate chips and sprinkles. So, yeah, that's why you're
- 24:53Speaker 5: seeing Girl Scouts online today.
- 24:56Speaker 1: I'll never forget the.
- 24:57Speaker 6: Time that we were working from home and poo was
- 25:00Speaker 6: coming over my house. And this guy, this guy literally
- 25:04Speaker 6: started eating. One of the dog treats in my pantry.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Yeah. No.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Because it looked so good. I mean, I will say
- 25:11Speaker 1: it did look like a human treat. It said peanut butter.
- 25:13Speaker 1: I was like, yes. He's like, man, these aren't too bad. Yeah.
- 25:16Speaker 1: And I was like, who those? You know what? Enjoy yourself.
- 25:20Speaker 5: I mean, some of them are fine for humans to eat.
- 25:23Speaker 5: They're just like same ingredients, peanut butter, oatmeal.
- 25:25Speaker 1: No, he thought they were good. Yeah.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Oh.
- 25:27Speaker 1: He ate them.
- 25:28Speaker 5: Well, good. Yeah. It's fine if you want to eat them.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Started barking 10 minutes earlier.
- 25:34Speaker 5: Guys, there's a new Dunkin' ad going viral today. It
- 25:37Speaker 5: features Emma Button and Jerry Halliwell from the Spice Girls.
- 25:40Speaker 5: So it's basically introducing a fictional sixth member of the group,
- 25:44Speaker 5: Pumpkin Spice, played by Rachel Dratch. So the storyline is
- 25:49Speaker 5: that she left the group to pursue her real passion,
- 25:52Speaker 5: which is lattes, but very cute commercial, so look for it.
- 25:55Speaker 5: About time we had Pumpkin Spice and the Spice Girls.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Why wasn't there a Pumpkin Spice?
- 26:00Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know.
- 26:01Speaker 1: I haven't even had a PSL yet.
- 26:03Speaker 5: No, I haven't either yet.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Girl.
- 26:05Speaker 5: I don't think. Have I?
- 26:06Speaker 1: No, you haven't. I haven't either.
- 26:08Speaker 5: Well, we talked about getting them that first day, and
- 26:10Speaker 5: then we never did.
- 26:11Speaker 6: Well, I said I'd buy them, but then nobody wanted
- 26:12Speaker 6: to go pick them up.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Who wouldn't pick them up for us?
- 26:14Speaker 5: Yeah, well, I can't exactly leave.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Well, I know. The only person... I said I would,
- 26:18Speaker 1: but y'all... Y'all were like, I said I'd buy him.
- 26:20Speaker 5: Okay.
- 26:21Speaker 1: No, ain't no shame in my game. I'll run across
- 26:23Speaker 1: the street. There is some shame in your game.
- 26:25Speaker 5: Well, it's not too late. Get a pumpkin spice latte
- 26:28Speaker 5: for football season. It's back tonight.
- 26:29Speaker 2: FYI.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Oh, that's right. First game.
- 26:31Speaker 5: Super Bowl champion Seahawks Patriots playing tonight. 720 kickoff. So
- 26:35Speaker 5: heads up. I'm Candace Lopez. Those are your 10.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Don't do it.
- 26:40Speaker 1: It's Mix 102.9. Good morning. Billy the Kid, Candice Lopez,
- 26:43Speaker 1: producer Pooh is here. I'm kidding. It's just a joke.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Everybody relax.
- 26:47Speaker 6: You got a banger coming up. I'm about to do that. Also,
- 26:50Speaker 6: a Dirty Little Secret at 7.30. Free gas start at 8.30.
- 26:53Speaker 6: That's going to be fun. I figure, you know, I
- 26:55Speaker 6: love a good list. And they're already releasing some of
- 26:58Speaker 6: the baby names, baby trends that are coming out.
- 27:01Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 27:01Speaker 1: And you were just talking about your friend had a baby.
- 27:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Can you say what they named it?
- 27:06Speaker 5: I don't know. I think so.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Maybe Maddox. Oh, Maddox.
- 27:10Speaker 5: Beautiful name.
- 27:11Speaker 1: That's a good name. You know what?
- 27:12Speaker 6: There's a lot of weird names, though, that are trending,
- 27:15Speaker 6: you know, that they're saying are going to be big.
- 27:17Speaker 6: Like there's some weird trends going on with baby names.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Yeah. So name maxing is the thing they're saying is
- 27:22Speaker 1: going to be big.
- 27:23Speaker 5: Name maxing?
- 27:23Speaker 1: There's a thing called name maxing. And what that is,
- 27:26Speaker 1: is when you're taking two names and you're combining the
- 27:28Speaker 1: names and making that the name. Oh.
- 27:31Speaker 6: So let's say, you know, you're taking your... Your mom's
- 27:34Speaker 6: name on your side of the family and then your
- 27:36Speaker 6: mom's name and then you're combining the names and making
- 27:39Speaker 6: that for your little girl's name.
- 27:41Speaker 5: Oh, that's cute.
- 27:42Speaker 1: It is, but I'm trying to think of when it
- 27:43Speaker 1: would work.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:45Speaker 1: So the example they gave is like Lily and Juliet.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Lilliet is a name.
- 27:50Speaker 5: Okay.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Lily.
- 27:52Speaker 5: I like that.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Whose face? You should see.
- 27:56Speaker 5: My cousin's daughter's name is Elliot.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Elliot.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Is that a combination of two names?
- 28:02Speaker 5: The second half is. I don't know where the first
- 28:04Speaker 5: half came from. Probably so, yeah.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Like, there's another little boy that they named. They combined
- 28:09Speaker 1: Leo and Giovanni, and it was Levani.
- 28:13Speaker 5: Oh, I was going to say Leovani.
- 28:14Speaker 7: That's got to be somebody black. I'm going to black
- 28:17Speaker 7: people come up with some crazy names.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Oh, it does. Aquanetta.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Stop.
- 28:20Speaker 1: I got a cousin named Aquanetta. There's no... I ain't lying. No. Marshallette.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Marshallette.
- 28:26Speaker 1: I got a cousin named Marshallette. There's no Aquanetta. Yeah, Aquanetta. No,
- 28:30Speaker 1: you do not.
- 28:31Speaker 5: That's not. That's a hairspray, right?
- 28:33Speaker 1: I'm telling you. Yeah, but she's Aquanetta. No way. Aquanetta, yes. Marshallette.
- 28:37Speaker 1: She was name maxing before it was even popular. Yeah,
- 28:40Speaker 1: black people be... Named Mexican all the time. They're saying
- 28:43Speaker 1: moonstruck names are going to be a thing. Moonstruck? Yeah,
- 28:46Speaker 1: a lot of big moon names, lunar names, which I
- 28:50Speaker 1: don't even know.
- 28:51Speaker 6: I don't know how it relates to the moon, but
- 28:53Speaker 6: like Sia. I don't know if these are craters on
- 28:56Speaker 6: the moon.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Oh. Rhiannon.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Luann.
- 28:59Speaker 5: I know a Rhiannon.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Luann. Luann Platter. Yeah, that's a Luby's. Yeah. There's a
- 29:05Speaker 1: lot of Luby-inspired names.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Wow.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Almondine.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Oh.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Well, it's funny you say that. The old names are
- 29:13Speaker 1: coming back in style. Like what? Like old names.
- 29:17Speaker 5: Hazel?
- 29:18Speaker 1: Like Esther. Okay. You know, that's blowing up again.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Greta?
- 29:23Speaker 1: Greta. Gretchen. Yeah. They're saying medieval names are going to
- 29:27Speaker 1: be a big thing, too. Oh, Lord. Yeah, like, I
- 29:31Speaker 1: don't even know. Oswald. Oswald. Clement Agnes.
- 29:36Speaker 2: Agnes?
- 29:37Speaker 5: No, not Agnes.
- 29:38Speaker 1: That baby going to get beat up.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Hey.
- 29:40Speaker 1: I would say another big trend is 80s nicknames.
- 29:42Speaker 2: Okay.
- 29:42Speaker 1: So, like, Annie, Archie Benny.
- 29:45Speaker 3: Huh.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Scotty.
- 29:47Speaker 5: Okay, Scotty.
- 29:48Speaker 1: All those names, yeah. That's a good one.
- 29:51Speaker 6: And, you know, you just combine stuff, too. Remember we
- 29:53Speaker 6: used to prank people? Did you used to prank people
- 29:55Speaker 6: back in the day and.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Make up names?
- 29:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Oh, I did, too.
- 29:58Speaker 5: Like, you would say what your name is?
- 30:00Speaker 1: No, I'd be like, no.
- 30:01Speaker 6: You'd call, like, a restaurant and ask for, like, hey,
- 30:03Speaker 6: can you see my cousin's there? And he's not answering
- 30:05Speaker 6: the phone. Can you page him?
- 30:07Speaker 1: Yeah. What's his name? Like, it was cheesy, but we'd
- 30:10Speaker 1: be like, hey, his name's Seymour.
- 30:12Speaker 2: God.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Seymour who? Seymour Buzz.
- 30:15Speaker 3: Right.
- 30:16Speaker 5: So stupid. Oh, my God.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Or, like, I had a cousin named Amanda Huggin' Kiss.
- 30:22Speaker 2: What? Amanda.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Amanda? Hug and kiss.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Right. Yeah.
- 30:25Speaker 1: And they'd be like, yeah, I need a man to
- 30:28Speaker 1: hug and kiss. Oh, my God. So stupid.
- 30:32Speaker 5: You're stupid.
- 30:33Speaker 1: So dumb.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Oh.
- 30:37Speaker 1: Get it off your chest.
- 30:39Speaker 4: It's Dirty Little Secret with Billy the Kid in the

- 31:23Speaker 1: you've got one, let us know. You have a confession.
- 31:26Speaker 1: So what is going on?
- 31:28Speaker 3: Well, I made this really good.
- 31:32Speaker 9: Tough decision involving my mom and, uh, nobody else in
- 31:36Speaker 9: my family knows that I'm the one that did it.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Um, so what, all right, so here's the deal. I.
- 31:43Speaker 9: I anonymously reported my mother to the city.
- 31:47Speaker 1: Um, to the city. What do you mean?
- 31:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:51Speaker 4: Why?
- 31:51Speaker 9: Well, nobody else in my family is as involved like
- 31:54Speaker 9: in my mom's life as I am. And my mom
- 31:56Speaker 9: is a full on total hoarder. I mean, I'm not
- 32:00Speaker 9: she's not not like somebody who's got like a lot
- 32:03Speaker 9: of stuff, but I'm talking like, I don't know, hoarders,
- 32:06Speaker 9: TV show level hoarder.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Really?
- 32:09Speaker 3: It's it's it's terrible. Like her house.
- 32:12Speaker 9: It's not even like walkable anymore.
- 32:15Speaker 3: She has like little pathways and there's just piles of stuff.
- 32:19Speaker 9: In the way to get anywhere she needs to get
- 32:21Speaker 9: from the kitchen or the bathroom and.
- 32:24Speaker 3: The room she can't even enter. And that's all she does.
- 32:27Speaker 3: She goes to like garage sales all the time.
- 32:30Speaker 9: And now, uh, you know, Facebook marketplace, it's, it's like
- 32:34Speaker 9: 10 times worse because she doesn't have to even leave
- 32:36Speaker 9: the house to find more stuff.
- 32:37Speaker 3: And Oh, she's, she's got, she's got, canned goods and and.
- 32:41Speaker 9: Like food like actual food that expired like years.
- 32:45Speaker 3: Ago and she just she won't you know she won't.
- 32:47Speaker 9: Throw it away there's rodents yes i've seen rodents and
- 32:52Speaker 9: there's there's cats she's got like multiple cats living in there.
- 32:55Speaker 6: She's got rodents and cats living inside her house.
- 32:59Speaker 9: But i've seen rodents in there there's definitely cats that
- 33:02Speaker 9: are not hers and They're not hers?
- 33:04Speaker 1: They're just random cats in the house?
- 33:06Speaker 3: I mean, she's had cats.
- 33:07Speaker 9: I think maybe two of them are hers, but when
- 33:09Speaker 9: you go there, you don't know what cats are going
- 33:11Speaker 9: to be there that day. I mean, you would not
- 33:16Speaker 9: believe how the house smells. It's like beyond and she's,
- 33:22Speaker 9: you know, she's used to it.
- 33:26Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 33:26Speaker 9: It kind of went nuts when my dad passed away
- 33:29Speaker 9: and then he was the one that kind of kept
- 33:31Speaker 9: her in check and And after he passed away, she
- 33:34Speaker 9: just kind of went nuts.
- 33:36Speaker 1: I always wonder.
- 33:37Speaker 6: Yeah, I always wonder what people because I mean, I'm
- 33:39Speaker 6: kind of oddly fascinated by hoarders because you wonder what's
- 33:42Speaker 6: going on in their mind, how they can live that
- 33:44Speaker 6: way and just shut it off and think it's OK.
- 33:46Speaker 2: Right.
- 33:46Speaker 5: And why? And why can't use all that stuff?
- 33:49Speaker 6: You can never use all that stuff. So usually I
- 33:51Speaker 6: feel like it's I'm no psychologist, but I feel like
- 33:53Speaker 6: it's triggered by something.
- 33:54Speaker 1: But who knows in this case? So. You've tried to
- 33:57Speaker 1: help out, but you're very involved in her life and
- 33:59Speaker 1: you've tried to figure it out.
- 34:02Speaker 3: We've offered to clean it.
- 34:03Speaker 9: We've offered to pay people to clean it.
- 34:04Speaker 3: We, you know, we beg her, we fight her.
- 34:07Speaker 9: You know, I tried to reach out to the TV
- 34:09Speaker 9: show hoarders and that didn't.
- 34:10Speaker 3: Really work out, but she just won't, she won't, she
- 34:13Speaker 3: won't do anything. So I, I, I don't know.
- 34:16Speaker 9: I didn't know what to do and I thought this
- 34:17Speaker 9: would solve it. And I called, I called the city
- 34:20Speaker 9: and I didn't, I didn't give him my name. I just,
- 34:23Speaker 9: I just said that I, there was a house that
- 34:25Speaker 9: I knew of that was a serious health and safety issue.
- 34:28Speaker 9: And I told him about all the food and the
- 34:30Speaker 9: rodents and stuff. And so they came and now they
- 34:35Speaker 9: gave her an ultimate, an ultimatum that the, the house
- 34:39Speaker 9: has got to be cleaned up or there's a possibility
- 34:43Speaker 9: that it could be condemned, which I thought, I guess
- 34:47Speaker 9: I was what I wanted, but my mom is, it's
- 34:50Speaker 9: just gone way wrong.
- 34:52Speaker 3: She's devastated and she's, she's calling me all the time.
- 34:55Speaker 3: Just furious. Somebody reported me and he'll need to mind
- 34:59Speaker 3: their own business. And I, and I'm, it's me. I'm
- 35:01Speaker 3: listening to her knowing it's me.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Now, what about your, your friend, the rest of the family?
- 35:05Speaker 1: Do they know that you're the one who did it?
- 35:07Speaker 3: They do not know. Nobody knows.
- 35:10Speaker 9: Nobody. I, you know, so I, I forced my mother's hand,
- 35:14Speaker 9: which I thought was a good thing, but now I
- 35:15Speaker 9: put my, her house at risk and I don't know
- 35:19Speaker 9: what to do. I mean, I, She's older and the
- 35:23Speaker 9: house is a fire hazard and it's unhealthy.
- 35:27Speaker 3: What if she falls in there one day? I mean,
- 35:30Speaker 3: nobody's going to be able to.
- 35:32Speaker 9: get to her finder she was i don't know so
- 35:35Speaker 9: that's why i did it and.
- 35:36Speaker 1: Well sometimes you got to do hard things to to
- 35:40Speaker 1: show people.
- 35:40Speaker 5: You love them yeah but now can't you guys go
- 35:42Speaker 5: in and help like you.
- 35:44Speaker 8: Offered before maybe that's what you do yeah i i
- 35:47Speaker 8: guess we i mean we've kind of forced her but
- 35:50Speaker 8: she i don't know if she's gonna have a breakdown
- 35:52Speaker 8: or i i mean she's just it's just really tearing.
- 35:55Speaker 6: My mom up Well, this might be the opportunity you
- 35:57Speaker 6: needed to go. OK, see, mom, now we now we
- 36:00Speaker 6: have to help.
- 36:00Speaker 5: It's not just us who are concerned about it.
- 36:02Speaker 1: I mean, and I've watched that show before and that's
- 36:04Speaker 1: what sometimes it takes for them to turn it around.
- 36:07Speaker 1: And there are cases where they have. Yeah.
- 36:09Speaker 6: You have her best interest at hand. And I just
- 36:12Speaker 6: the whole thing's fascinating to me. I really hope that
- 36:14Speaker 6: she gets the help she needs. And I hope you
- 36:16Speaker 6: guys figure this out. I don't think you could beat
- 36:18Speaker 6: yourself up by doing that because I think that she
- 36:21Speaker 6: needs a wake up call.
- 36:22Speaker 1: And it's almost like an intervention, really.
- 36:23Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 36:24Speaker 1: I guess.
- 36:25Speaker 3: All right. I appreciate it. I'll keep the faith.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Yeah, keep the faith.
- 36:29Speaker 5: There's nothing selfish about it for you.
- 36:31Speaker 1: I mean, I think I was on the path of
- 36:33Speaker 1: being a hoarder, too. So I get it. I think
- 36:35Speaker 1: I was close. Yeah.
- 36:36Speaker 6: I just started throwing stuff away. But if I would
- 36:38Speaker 6: have been 80 or a little bit older, you know, older,
- 36:40Speaker 6: I think I would be there. I'd be sleeping on
- 36:42Speaker 6: a pile of stuff I didn't want to throw away.
- 36:44Speaker 1: No, I won't let you because I always come over
- 36:45Speaker 1: and get your stuff. Yeah. But I'll probably outlive you.
- 36:49Speaker 2: Oh.
- 36:51Speaker 1: So I'm worried about it.
- 36:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:54Speaker 6: Well, sir, thank you so much, and listen, have a
- 36:58Speaker 6: good day, and we appreciate you confessing, and keep us
- 36:59Speaker 6: up to date on what's going on.
- 37:01Speaker 3: Appreciate you guys.
- 37:02Speaker 2: Okay.
- 37:02Speaker 1: It's just, it's so scary.
- 37:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:04Speaker 6: It's so, it's, it's just, it's odd to me though,
- 37:06Speaker 6: but it's, I can't stop watching. If I see a
- 37:08Speaker 6: hoarder show, I'm watching it.
- 37:10Speaker 5: Oh, I can't watch those. They're so depressing.
- 37:12Speaker 2: No.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Really?
- 37:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 37:14Speaker 1: See, oh, they don't even care. And they, why do
- 37:16Speaker 1: they always have cats? I don't know. Cats and rats.
- 37:19Speaker 1: And they're the ones bringing food to the potluck at work.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Never eating that again.
- 37:28Speaker 2: All rise.
- 37:30Speaker 4: It's time for Candace Court. It gets settled here with
- 37:34Speaker 4: Billy the Kid in the morning.
- 37:35Speaker 1: All rise. Excuse me. I choked. We're up.
- 37:39Speaker 6: I was trying to drink some coffee like two seconds
- 37:42Speaker 6: before we went on the air.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Oh, no. And it went down the wrong pipe.
- 37:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:46Speaker 5: All rise for the Honorable Judge Candace Lopez.
- 37:49Speaker 1: I almost died. Hey, are you okay? You need mouth
- 37:52Speaker 1: to mouth? God, no. Let me die.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Whoa.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Thank you, though.
- 37:57Speaker 6: It's Mix 102.9, Ability Kid, Candice Lopez, Producer Pooh. All right,
- 38:00Speaker 6: let's get to Candice. Courtney, if you've got an issue
- 38:02Speaker 6: for Candice, she can totally help you out. If you've
- 38:03Speaker 6: got a problem, add Candice on air on Instagram, add
- 38:06Speaker 6: Candice on air. All right, listen to this message. I
- 38:09Speaker 6: love my best friend, and we've been close since college.
- 38:11Speaker 6: So when she got engaged, I was super excited when
- 38:15Speaker 6: I was asked to be her maid of honor.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Oh, here we go. See, wedding drama.
- 38:19Speaker 5: Maybe not.
- 38:20Speaker 6: We have more drama when it comes to weddings than
- 38:22Speaker 6: any other dilemma ever.
- 38:24Speaker 1: It's always weddings.
- 38:25Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 38:25Speaker 6: I figured this meant helping to plan the bachelorette party,
- 38:29Speaker 6: throw in the shower, and helping with whatever wedding stuff
- 38:32Speaker 6: I could help with. What I didn't realize was apparently
- 38:35Speaker 6: I was also being promoted to financial sponsor.
- 38:39Speaker 5: What?
- 38:40Speaker 6: A few weeks ago, my friend sent a group text
- 38:43Speaker 6: to the bridesmaid saying she had found the wedding dress
- 38:46Speaker 6: of her dreams and that it was way over budget,
- 38:50Speaker 6: but she was determined to have it. Okay, sounds like
- 38:53Speaker 6: a you problem.
- 38:54Speaker 2: No.
- 38:55Speaker 1: The next thing I know, she's asking all of us
- 38:57Speaker 1: to chip in to help cover the cost of the
- 39:00Speaker 1: dress as our, quote, gift to her.
- 39:03Speaker 2: Oh.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Whoa. Is that a thing?
- 39:08Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 39:10Speaker 6: Maybe I'm crazy, but isn't buying the wedding dress the
- 39:14Speaker 6: bride's responsibility? Question mark, question mark, question mark, three question marks.
- 39:20Speaker 6: You know she's irritated. I love my friend, but I
- 39:24Speaker 6: can't shake the feeling that this ask is completely unreasonable.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Okay. Candace Lopez. I mean, that is a wild scenario
- 39:35Speaker 1: where the bride is pretty much asking the bridesmaids to
- 39:38Speaker 1: chip in to cover.
- 39:40Speaker 6: Her wedding dress. But then again, I don't know what is...
- 39:45Speaker 6: the usual standard procedure when it comes to being a bridesmaid.
- 39:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:49Speaker 5: I mean, I've only been a bridesmaid once. Definitely wasn't
- 39:52Speaker 5: asked to pay for the wedding dress. Had nothing to
- 39:54Speaker 5: do with the wedding dress. I think that, yeah, typically
- 39:57Speaker 5: is the bride's responsibility. But I'm just wondering how much
- 40:00Speaker 5: we're talking here.
- 40:01Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 40:01Speaker 1: Well, how much is the average wedding dress? I wouldn't know.
- 40:03Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 40:04Speaker 1: So really, we have no idea how much it costs?
- 40:06Speaker 1: Your friend owns a bridal shop.
- 40:08Speaker 3: You should ask her.
- 40:08Speaker 5: Yeah, my cousin, she runs, works over at Terry Costa.
- 40:11Speaker 5: She's a buyer, does a whole thing over there. She's, yeah.
- 40:15Speaker 5: Into that. Maybe she's listening. She can text me a
- 40:17Speaker 5: lot of money. Wedding dresses are not cheap.
- 40:19Speaker 1: What do you think the average wedding dress cost?
- 40:22Speaker 5: I honestly have no idea. I spent like $ 200 on
- 40:24Speaker 5: mine because I just ordered a cheap one off of
- 40:26Speaker 5: like ASOS.
- 40:28Speaker 6: Okay, so what if you say she wants an expensive one?
- 40:31Speaker 6: Would it be unreasonable to say this is $ 1, 500?
- 40:34Speaker 5: Okay, about, this is saying about $ 2, 100. For an expensive
- 40:38Speaker 5: one or an average one? For an average one.
- 40:39Speaker 1: So she said this is expensive.
- 40:42Speaker 5: Okay.
- 40:42Speaker 1: So let's say.
- 40:43Speaker 5: $ 3, 500. Okay.
- 40:44Speaker 6: $ 3, 500 dress. They got to split it how many ways?
- 40:47Speaker 6: How many bridesmaids are there?
- 40:48Speaker 5: Yeah, that's a good question because some people have three
- 40:51Speaker 5: or four. Some people, I've seen eight. You know, so
- 40:53Speaker 5: it's like this is her idea. She needs to make
- 40:56Speaker 5: the bridal party pretty big so they can split it up.
- 40:58Speaker 5: You know what I mean?
- 40:59Speaker 1: So what if somebody asks you this and you're a bridesmaid?
- 41:01Speaker 1: What do you do?
- 41:02Speaker 5: It depends on how much it is. Like, look, if
- 41:04Speaker 5: this is your dream, you found the dress. It's out
- 41:06Speaker 5: of budget. You just can't live without it. and you
- 41:09Speaker 5: don't want me to get you a wedding gift, this
- 41:10Speaker 5: is going to be my contribution. Maybe if I'm putting
- 41:13Speaker 5: in like $ 100, if we're each doing $ 100.
- 41:15Speaker 1: But that's not going to cover a dress.
- 41:17Speaker 5: Well, I mean, how many are there? If there's like
- 41:20Speaker 5: six of us, we're up to $ 600. How much more
- 41:22Speaker 5: do you need?
- 41:23Speaker 1: $ 600. It's a $ 3, 500 dress.
- 41:25Speaker 5: What was her budget? Was her budget $ 3, 000? I don't know.
- 41:28Speaker 5: Was her budget $ 2, 000? It's tough to know the math here.
- 41:31Speaker 1: You're under budget. Yeah, but you've got to pay for
- 41:33Speaker 1: that and pay for your own dress.
- 41:36Speaker 6: When you're a bridesmaid, this is a dumb question.
- 41:38Speaker 1: I don't know wedding etiquette. I've never been a bridesmaid.
- 41:40Speaker 1: When you're a bridesmaid, do you have to get a gift?
- 41:42Speaker 1: I mean, you still get a gift, right?
- 41:44Speaker 5: Yeah, you still get a gift, something like reasonable. But
- 41:47Speaker 5: you're also paying, like Pooh said, for your bridesmaid dress. So,
- 41:51Speaker 5: I mean, you're invested in this.
- 41:53Speaker 1: Right. It's expensive to be a bridesmaid. Yeah.
- 41:55Speaker 5: I mean, I thought the maid of honor was just,
- 41:57Speaker 5: I'm supporting you during the wedding and, you know.
- 41:59Speaker 1: Not financially. But you're also organizing the bachelorette party.
- 42:03Speaker 5: You're doing work.
- 42:04Speaker 6: You're getting all the money for it. You're planning stuff.
- 42:07Speaker 6: And when the bride goes out, she's not paying for anything.
- 42:10Speaker 6: So you guys are paying for a lot of stuff
- 42:11Speaker 6: when you're a bridesmaid.
- 42:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:13Speaker 1: You're paying for your dress.
- 42:14Speaker 6: So if she's not asking for any other gifts, but
- 42:17Speaker 6: here's what I didn't see in this message.
- 42:19Speaker 1: Hey, forget getting me a gift. If everyone wants to
- 42:22Speaker 1: chip in for my dress, that's the best gift ever.
- 42:25Speaker 5: Okay, see, I assume that's what she meant.
- 42:27Speaker 1: Oh, I don't assume anything.
- 42:27Speaker 5: But this is your gift to me.
- 42:29Speaker 1: I don't assume it.
- 42:29Speaker 5: Okay, so you feel like maybe this is a gift
- 42:31Speaker 5: to the bride, but then you do the wedding gift also.
- 42:34Speaker 1: No, I'm not. If I pay for your dress, you're
- 42:36Speaker 1: not getting a gift.
- 42:37Speaker 5: Well, no.
- 42:39Speaker 1: I mean, this is kind of tacky in general.
- 42:41Speaker 5: It's cringe that she asked about it, but good for
- 42:43Speaker 5: her because I never ask for what I want, so
- 42:45Speaker 5: don't ask, don't get. You know what I mean?
- 42:47Speaker 7: She asked her future husband to chip in or something.
- 42:50Speaker 7: I ain't paying for that.
- 42:51Speaker 1: Who pays for the wedding dress typically? Yeah, I'll just
- 42:53Speaker 1: get you a gift.
- 42:53Speaker 5: I mean, I think the bride does. Or it comes
- 42:56Speaker 5: with whatever finances have been afforded to you. Yeah, if
- 43:00Speaker 5: your parents or your dad or whoever your parents are
- 43:02Speaker 5: paying for the wedding, that's just included in the budget
- 43:04Speaker 5: to me.
- 43:05Speaker 6: So the bride's dad usually pays for the wedding, right?
- 43:08Speaker 5: Wow. Traditionally.
- 43:10Speaker 1: I don't think anything moves traditionally anymore.
- 43:13Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't think so either. This is non-traditional, though.
- 43:16Speaker 6: This is why weddings are such a scam. I mean,
- 43:19Speaker 6: we're living in crazy times. Everything is so expensive. We've
- 43:22Speaker 6: got to worry about this now?
- 43:23Speaker 5: Right.
- 43:24Speaker 1: We've got to worry about a whole wedding dress? I
- 43:26Speaker 1: don't even know you. I mean, I know you, I guess.
- 43:28Speaker 1: I'm in your wedding.
- 43:29Speaker 7: But I'm not wearing it. That's your best friend. I'd
- 43:32Speaker 7: rather pitch in for that, but I ain't getting you
- 43:34Speaker 7: a gift.
- 43:34Speaker 1: It's either or.
- 43:35Speaker 6: That's how I feel. And it's got to be reasonable.
- 43:38Speaker 6: If you're getting some dress that's five grand, you're not getting...
- 43:41Speaker 6: $ 1, 000 for me if we split it five ways.
- 43:45Speaker 5: Surely there's another dress that you can love that's more affordable.
- 43:49Speaker 1: Right, because in two years, we're also going to be
- 43:51Speaker 1: planning your divorce party. No! You better go on a
- 43:54Speaker 1: firm and do payments.
- 43:56Speaker 3: A firm!
- 43:56Speaker 1: You better do a Klarna. payment plan on that wedding
- 44:01Speaker 1: dress yeah that's an option candace.
- 44:03Speaker 5: Lopez what is the verdict yeah this is kind of
- 44:05Speaker 5: cringe look i think you're guilty of being a budget
- 44:07Speaker 5: bridget oh yeah if it's your gift that's your gift
- 44:12Speaker 5: but don't expect a wedding gift the day of the
- 44:15Speaker 5: wedding or cards and all that stuff.
- 44:16Speaker 1: Like that's too much you're getting this but no.
- 44:18Speaker 5: Gift yeah this is your gift and that's it yep
- 44:21Speaker 5: she is guilty of being a budget bridget The new
- 44:25Speaker 5: Mix 102.9.
- 44:27Speaker 4: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 44:30Speaker 4: Kid in the morning.
- 44:31Speaker 2: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 44:33Speaker 1: All right, Candace Lopez, what's up?
- 44:35Speaker 5: Well, we have now officially tied a record from 1955.
- 44:38Speaker 5: We've gone 54 days without measurable rain. We're in the
- 44:43Speaker 5: middle of the sixth longest dry streak on record.
- 44:48Speaker 6: Yeah, and you know what you got to think about, too?
- 44:49Speaker 6: And I know this is like old man advice.
- 44:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:52Speaker 1: You got to water your foundation at your house.
- 44:54Speaker 6: I know this is stuff like you think about people
- 44:56Speaker 6: that were making fun of me because I'm.
- 44:57Speaker 1: Like, well, I water my roof.
- 44:59Speaker 2: Yeah, that's odd.
- 45:00Speaker 5: I don't know why.
- 45:01Speaker 1: I used to hose my house down when it gets
- 45:02Speaker 1: real hot.
- 45:02Speaker 2: Yeah, you do.
- 45:03Speaker 6: And then I saw an expert talking about how it's
- 45:05Speaker 6: a good idea.
- 45:05Speaker 5: But how? Doesn't it just evaporate or just like dry
- 45:08Speaker 5: up so fast it doesn't do anything?
- 45:10Speaker 6: Yeah, probably, Candace. But in my head, I'm cooling my
- 45:13Speaker 6: house down. But you should. Don't forget to put the
- 45:16Speaker 6: soaker hoses out.
- 45:17Speaker 1: And I know that's crazy, but when it gets this
- 45:19Speaker 1: dry out, things will happen to your foundation.
- 45:21Speaker 5: Well, that I guess so.
- 45:23Speaker 1: This is old man advice.
- 45:23Speaker 5: I just picture you spraying the walls and the roof
- 45:25Speaker 5: and the windows.
- 45:26Speaker 1: I spray the walls.
- 45:27Speaker 3: Okay.
- 45:28Speaker 4: Wow.
- 45:28Speaker 2: I spray the roof.
- 45:29Speaker 1: I spray everything. I spray you down. You walk out,
- 45:31Speaker 1: I spray you down.
- 45:31Speaker 5: Wow.
- 45:32Speaker 1: Everything gets sprayed down.
- 45:34Speaker 5: July 16th was the last day we had legit rain
- 45:36Speaker 5: where they measure it at DFW Airport. So hopefully some
- 45:40Speaker 5: comes soon, guys. Apple is expected to debut a foldable
- 45:44Speaker 5: iPhone today at their annual product event. It's called Surprise
- 45:47Speaker 5: and Shine. The early reports are saying it could be
- 45:50Speaker 5: called the iPhone Ultra and that would open and close
- 45:54Speaker 5: like a book. So this would be iPhone's biggest redesign
- 45:58Speaker 5: since launching in 2007. The price point I'm hearing is
- 46:02Speaker 5: expected to be at least $ 2, 000. Yeah, other products, I
- 46:06Speaker 5: think they're supposed to announce the iPhone 18 Pro and
- 46:09Speaker 5: Pro Max, also AirPods 5. But this will be the
- 46:12Speaker 5: first launch event for Apple's new CEO since he took
- 46:15Speaker 5: over for Tim Cook. But this event's going to kick
- 46:17Speaker 5: off at noon. I always look forward to it. I
- 46:20Speaker 5: don't know why.
- 46:20Speaker 1: Just because it's hype. Yeah, I do too.
- 46:22Speaker 6: And I swear and I will go to my grave
- 46:25Speaker 6: thinking that they purposely slow our phones down when a
- 46:28Speaker 6: new phone's coming out.
- 46:28Speaker 5: No, I think they finally determined that's the case with
- 46:31Speaker 5: these updates.
- 46:31Speaker 1: Well, I think they're still doing it.
- 46:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:33Speaker 6: Because my phone right now won't even charge. It's just
- 46:36Speaker 6: getting drained quick. And I'm like, of course, we're getting
- 46:39Speaker 6: close to a new phone coming out.
- 46:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:41Speaker 1: And it's foldable, like I need that.
- 46:43Speaker 5: Yeah, that's my question. So if it's similar to the
- 46:46Speaker 5: same size and it folds up, or is it the
- 46:48Speaker 5: same size?
- 46:48Speaker 1: No, I think it's a little bit bigger, but Android
- 46:50Speaker 1: already has one of these.
- 46:51Speaker 5: Right, so Apple's super late.
- 46:53Speaker 6: I mean, I guess, but I don't know. I mean,
- 46:55Speaker 6: we had flip phones. This flips out to be like
- 46:58Speaker 6: a TV, like a mini TV.
- 47:00Speaker 1: Oh. Do we need another huge screen?
- 47:02Speaker 5: No, we don't.
- 47:04Speaker 1: I mean, I might actually.
- 47:07Speaker 5: Ask me at one o'clock. Guys, a new report says
- 47:12Speaker 5: Americans may be spending way more time in the shower
- 47:15Speaker 5: than we need to be. An environmental scientist is going
- 47:18Speaker 5: viral for saying three minutes is enough time for a
- 47:21Speaker 5: basic body shower.
- 47:22Speaker 1: No, it's not.
- 47:23Speaker 5: Well, they're saying if you're going to wash your hair,
- 47:25Speaker 5: add a couple extra minutes, but the average American shower
- 47:28Speaker 5: lasts about 16 minutes.
- 47:29Speaker 6: This is not a Texas shower. First of all, it's
- 47:32Speaker 6: so hot in Texas, we need way more time than
- 47:34Speaker 6: three minutes in the shower.
- 47:35Speaker 5: But why?
- 47:36Speaker 1: What do you mean why? You can't even wash certain
- 47:38Speaker 1: places in three minutes. Yes, you can. Not me. I
- 47:42Speaker 1: need my time.
- 47:42Speaker 5: I mean, I feel like five.
- 47:44Speaker 1: Five minutes? Five-minute shower? Ooh.
- 47:47Speaker 5: That's not... What?
- 47:48Speaker 1: How long is your shower? You know I do.
- 47:51Speaker 7: My shower's probably about 10 to 12 minutes at least.
- 47:54Speaker 3: See?
- 47:54Speaker 5: Okay. I mean, we're just relaxing in there is all
- 47:57Speaker 5: we're doing.
- 47:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:59Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 47:59Speaker 1: And I'm also, I wash though.
- 48:02Speaker 5: You don't wash your legs?
- 48:04Speaker 1: Yes, sometimes I do, Candace.
- 48:05Speaker 6: I see, I say one time I don't wash my
- 48:08Speaker 6: legs every time and now I'm a dirty.
- 48:09Speaker 1: Yeah, we're going to hold you to it. I said
- 48:12Speaker 1: I don't wash, in the summertime I wash my legs.
- 48:16Speaker 1: If I sweat, I wash.
- 48:17Speaker 5: Okay.
- 48:18Speaker 6: But if I'm just sitting around all day and I
- 48:20Speaker 6: didn't do anything, I'm not going to get down there and.
- 48:21Speaker 1: Scrub my legs. First of all, I got one hand
- 48:24Speaker 1: right now. Okay. Got a broken hand, so my left hand.
- 48:27Speaker 5: Well, at least just take your other foot and just, like,
- 48:29Speaker 5: move the soap around.
- 48:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I can't.
- 48:33Speaker 6: Sometimes I do that, but I make calls in the shower.
- 48:35Speaker 1: I want to FaceTime people in the shower.
- 48:36Speaker 5: I know, that's weird. Don't FaceTime.
- 48:38Speaker 1: I'm FaceTiming both of you tonight.
- 48:39Speaker 5: That's not okay.
- 48:40Speaker 2: No.
- 48:40Speaker 1: Group chat. I mean, I'm only going from, you know,
- 48:43Speaker 1: chest up. Okay.
- 48:45Speaker 5: Yeah, still.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Don't call me.
- 48:47Speaker 5: Call Pooh. I will.
- 48:49Speaker 1: I'm going to call him tonight. No, don't tell him
- 48:50Speaker 1: to do that. I don't like that. Well, I call
- 48:53Speaker 1: Pooh almost every night when I get in the shower.
- 48:56Speaker 5: All right. I'm Candace Lopez. Those are your Texas Top Stories. Oh,
- 49:01Speaker 5: that's a hot take.
- 49:02Speaker 2: Let us know what you think. Here's today's hot take.
- 49:04Speaker 3: Okay.
- 49:05Speaker 5: Wow.
- 49:05Speaker 1: I'm still impressed by Pablo.
- 49:07Speaker 2: Right?
- 49:07Speaker 1: We're going to do it again at 9.30. Another shot
- 49:09Speaker 1: to win. And we'll do it all day. So many chances.
- 49:11Speaker 1: But that is impressive. That's not easy. First call or
- 49:14Speaker 1: first winner?
- 49:14Speaker 5: Didn't expect that.
- 49:15Speaker 1: Okay. Hot take. There is a new trend. And I
- 49:18Speaker 1: got to know what you think about. this, Candice, because
- 49:21Speaker 1: men are doing this to look more masculine.
- 49:25Speaker 2: Okay.
- 49:26Speaker 1: And when I say men are doing it, I'm not
- 49:29Speaker 1: going to say all men are doing it, obviously, because
- 49:31Speaker 1: I don't see myself doing it, but it's a trend
- 49:34Speaker 1: that people are starting to talk about where certain guys
- 49:37Speaker 1: are doing this. Are you ready?
- 49:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 49:39Speaker 1: They're shaving off their eyelashes.
- 49:42Speaker 2: What?
- 49:43Speaker 1: Men are shaving off their eyelashes to look more masculine.
- 49:48Speaker 1: Have you seen it? I mean, it's going viral on TikTok.
- 49:51Speaker 1: I mean, you want to talk about a bizarre beauty trend.
- 49:53Speaker 1: It's taken off online. Some men are shaving off their
- 49:56Speaker 1: eyelashes in an attempt to look more masculine. One TikTok guy,
- 50:01Speaker 1: I guess, did it. It's racked up 36 million views,
- 50:04Speaker 1: and it's obviously sparking a ton of debate. OK, because
- 50:08Speaker 1: it's an unusual look.
- 50:09Speaker 6: The funny part is you can't really tell what's going
- 50:13Speaker 6: on when you look at somebody. And I don't know
- 50:15Speaker 6: how this makes the person look more masculine.
- 50:17Speaker 1: I guess if you have the longer the eyelashes, the
- 50:20Speaker 1: more feminine you look. OK, I guess that's what some
- 50:23Speaker 1: people are saying.
- 50:24Speaker 5: Never even made that connection.
- 50:26Speaker 6: So there's a trend of men trying to be as
- 50:28Speaker 6: masculine as they possible can be.
- 50:31Speaker 1: So they're shaving off their eyelashes.
- 50:33Speaker 6: And when I look at this guy who has shaved
- 50:36Speaker 6: him off, you can't really tell right off the bat
- 50:37Speaker 6: what's going on.
- 50:38Speaker 1: You just know something looks different.
- 50:40Speaker 3: Yeah, it's off.
- 50:41Speaker 1: And then you're like, oh, wait a minute. I think
- 50:42Speaker 1: I figured it out. But now eye experts are warning
- 50:45Speaker 1: against this. Eye doctors are like, do not do this.
- 50:48Speaker 4: Right.
- 50:48Speaker 5: They serve a purpose, right?
- 50:49Speaker 1: Yeah, they do. Like all hair on your body.
- 50:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 50:52Speaker 1: Well, I guess all hair on your body. Ish. Ish.
- 50:55Speaker 1: Either way, they're saying, yes, it helps keep debris out
- 50:58Speaker 1: of your eyes.
- 50:58Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 50:59Speaker 6: And it triggers the blink reflex that protects from injury.
- 51:02Speaker 6: So your eyes are so fast, something gets close enough
- 51:05Speaker 6: to your eyelash that triggers your eye to shut.
- 51:08Speaker 1: So that's why you need them. So they're saying do
- 51:10Speaker 1: not do this. But multiple guys are on TikTok doing
- 51:14Speaker 1: this trend. So here's my question.
- 51:18Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 51:20Speaker 1: Should we put this on the wheel of misfortune?
- 51:22Speaker 2: No!
- 51:26Speaker 5: For y'all, yeah.
- 51:28Speaker 1: I mean, right. Obviously, you wouldn't do it. No.
- 51:32Speaker 6: Should we put this on the Wheel of Misfortune so
- 51:34Speaker 6: Friday when we play and whoever loses, if Pooh and
- 51:37Speaker 6: I were to land, we would have to shave our eyelashes.
- 51:40Speaker 5: I just don't trust either of y'all with the little
- 51:43Speaker 5: tool you need.
- 51:44Speaker 2: Yeah, no.
- 51:44Speaker 1: What do you mean? Not close to your eye?
- 51:46Speaker 5: Well, you see these guys doing it. They're putting the
- 51:48Speaker 5: thing right up there on their eye. That's dangerous.
- 51:51Speaker 1: Does it make the person, have you Googled it? Does
- 51:53Speaker 1: it make the person look more masculine?
- 51:54Speaker 2: No.
- 51:56Speaker 5: You just look weird.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Let me ask you this. How do you feel about
- 51:58Speaker 1: men shaving body hair?
- 52:00Speaker 6: Because it's such a mixed thing. Because some people, some women,
- 52:04Speaker 6: and it shouldn't matter what women really think. If you
- 52:06Speaker 6: want to shave your body, then shave your body, fellas.
- 52:08Speaker 6: I don't know what you want to do.
- 52:09Speaker 1: But what are women like when it comes to, wow,
- 52:11Speaker 1: I can't believe I'm going to say this, hair on men?
- 52:14Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, everyone has their personal preference. But are
- 52:16Speaker 5: you talking like back hair, chest hair?
- 52:19Speaker 2: Okay.
- 52:19Speaker 1: So now it's multiple different. Okay, so back hair.
- 52:23Speaker 5: Yeah, it can definitely go.
- 52:24Speaker 1: Back hair can go.
- 52:25Speaker 5: But, like, think about Travis Kelsey. Like, he's a hairy guy, right?
- 52:29Speaker 5: He was on whatever magazine that was showing off all
- 52:32Speaker 5: his chest hair, and everyone was like, bro, put that away.
- 52:35Speaker 1: But some ladies love some taco meat.
- 52:38Speaker 5: Right. So it's just personal preference.
- 52:40Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
- 52:41Speaker 5: There's a lot going on there.
- 52:42Speaker 1: Well, yeah, there you go.
- 52:44Speaker 3: See?
- 52:44Speaker 5: For Travis.
- 52:44Speaker 1: Do you like it trimmed in the chest hair?
- 52:47Speaker 5: Well, I mean, I think for me that's between me
- 52:49Speaker 5: and my husband, but, you know.
- 52:51Speaker 1: Well, I'm asking you on the air. Now it's between us.
- 52:54Speaker 5: You don't need all that hair everywhere.
- 52:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I got to shave. I got to shave it.
- 52:58Speaker 5: It's too much.
- 52:59Speaker 1: Does Eric shave his chest?
- 53:03Speaker 5: He has before when he's got to be on TV
- 53:05Speaker 5: with his shirt off. Yeah.
- 53:07Speaker 1: Okay.
- 53:07Speaker 5: All right.
- 53:08Speaker 1: Pooh, have you ever shaved your chest? Yeah, I shave it.
- 53:11Speaker 1: You shave it? Yeah, I shave it right now. Oh,
- 53:12Speaker 1: wait a minute. I don't like it all. Yeah, I
- 53:15Speaker 1: don't like all that taco meat all wild and stuff.
- 53:17Speaker 1: Do you shave your back? I keep it groomed. Yeah,
- 53:20Speaker 1: I have this tool that helps me shave my back. Oh,
- 53:24Speaker 1: my good Lord. You got a tool? Yeah, it's like
- 53:27Speaker 1: a Home Depot tool?
- 53:28Speaker 7: No, like a little blade thing in the shower. Because
- 53:32Speaker 7: I'm not that hairy in the back, but I just
- 53:34Speaker 7: make sure.
- 53:35Speaker 1: Okay. Yeah, I ain't trying to be no Bigfoot.
- 53:37Speaker 5: I mean, if hair's coming out of your collar and
- 53:39Speaker 5: it's not your head.
- 53:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 53:42Speaker 5: I'd say use the tool.
- 53:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 53:44Speaker 1: What about legs? Oh, I ain't shaving my legs.
- 53:46Speaker 5: No, you don't have to shave your legs.
- 53:48Speaker 1: Some ladies like that.
- 53:49Speaker 5: Well, that's up to them then.
- 53:51Speaker 1: What about armpits? Do you shave your armpits? No.
- 53:54Speaker 5: Don't shave them, but sometimes they're out of control.
- 53:57Speaker 1: Well, what are we supposed to do? I'm asking because
- 53:59Speaker 1: as a single guy, I genuinely don't know what you
- 54:02Speaker 1: ladies want.
- 54:02Speaker 5: I don't know what ladies in general want.
- 54:04Speaker 1: Well, you're a lady.
- 54:04Speaker 5: I don't think a whole lot of underarm hair. Like,
- 54:08Speaker 5: you could trim it down so it's not so crazy.
- 54:10Speaker 1: Okay, so we trim it.
- 54:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:12Speaker 1: What, just with regular scissors?
- 54:14Speaker 5: I just get it under control.
- 54:15Speaker 1: Oh, do I got to get a tool from Home Depot?
- 54:17Speaker 2: No.
- 54:18Speaker 1: Dang. Hopefully you were having a good morning.
- 54:20Speaker 6: It's Mix 102.9. Ability Kid, Candace Lopez is here. Producer
- 54:24Speaker 6: Poo is here. We got more money coming up.
- 54:26Speaker 1: Free gas. I mean, this is fun because this great
- 54:28Speaker 1: Gremlin gas gift card giveaway is hard to say.
- 54:31Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 54:31Speaker 6: You got to say that five times fast. You get
- 54:33Speaker 6: $ 100 in free gas, but this is your share. I mean, really,
- 54:36Speaker 6: you could win up to $ 3, 000 in free gas because
- 54:39Speaker 6: if you don't get it, Pablo just won it. He
- 54:41Speaker 6: won $ 100. He nailed it.
- 54:42Speaker 5: He did.
- 54:43Speaker 6: But if you mess up, then guess what? The money
- 54:46Speaker 6: carries over. The next jackpot gets bigger and bigger and bigger.
- 54:50Speaker 6: So before you know it, by tomorrow, I mean, we
- 54:52Speaker 6: could be talking about thousands of dollars in free gas.
- 54:54Speaker 6: So start practice saying that right now. We're going to
- 54:57Speaker 6: do it again at 930. Candace Lopez, how are you?
- 55:00Speaker 5: I'm good. I was telling you earlier how I just
- 55:01Speaker 5: accidentally cleaned out my purse and I wasn't trying to.
- 55:04Speaker 5: I was just looking for something earlier and ended up
- 55:06Speaker 5: finding like Biscoffs from an American Airlines flight. I don't
- 55:09Speaker 5: know when I took that flight or put those in there.
- 55:11Speaker 5: And then there were also three packs of Smarties that
- 55:14Speaker 5: the server at the pizza restaurant I went to over
- 55:16Speaker 5: the weekend gave us with our ticket. And then Aaron
- 55:19Speaker 5: hit me up and said, well, I have Bubbles and
- 55:21Speaker 5: Legos in my purse.
- 55:22Speaker 1: Oh, well, you're a mom.
- 55:23Speaker 5: Yeah, I definitely have Hot Wheels probably in my purse.
- 55:26Speaker 1: What's the weirdest thing you have in your purse, ladies?
- 55:27Speaker 6: One time I did this contest and a woman called
- 55:29Speaker 6: up and she said, I have my grandma's dentures.
- 55:31Speaker 1: No. In my purse right now.
- 55:34Speaker 2: Really?
- 55:34Speaker 1: And, of course, I was like, wait, why?
- 55:35Speaker 6: And she goes, we were at Olive Garden last night,
- 55:38Speaker 6: and my grandma took them out.
- 55:40Speaker 1: Oh!
- 55:41Speaker 5: And she just put them in her purse.
- 55:42Speaker 6: She said my grandma took them out to eat and
- 55:45Speaker 6: then left. Her and Grandpa left, and I looked down
- 55:47Speaker 6: at the table, and her teeth were sitting there.
- 55:49Speaker 2: Oh!
- 55:51Speaker 1: So I wrapped him up in a napkin, and I
- 55:52Speaker 1: got to take him back today. By the way, she
- 55:54Speaker 1: won the contest.
- 55:55Speaker 5: Oh, that's funny.
- 55:57Speaker 1: I've never seen anybody take out their teeth to eat. No.
- 55:59Speaker 1: You know, usually it's the opposite, but your teeth in
- 56:01Speaker 1: to eat.
- 56:02Speaker 2: Right.
- 56:02Speaker 1: You don't leave them. Do you just leave them places?
- 56:04Speaker 5: I don't know. My teeth are in my mouth.
- 56:07Speaker 1: Just gum in the breadsticks. At Olive Garden, too?
- 56:11Speaker 5: Yeah, that's tough.
- 56:13Speaker 1: Craziest places you left your teeth, 833-787-1010. Oh, crazy.
- 56:15Speaker 6: All right, Pooh, what's up with you?
- 56:21Speaker 1: I was telling you all how I felt judged yesterday.
- 56:23Speaker 1: I went to E.T.
- 56:24Speaker 7: 's and got me a chicken Caesar sandwich. And I
- 56:28Speaker 7: was driving off, and I was like, I'll wait until
- 56:30Speaker 7: I get home. And then I got to a stoplight
- 56:32Speaker 7: right over here off Inwood, and I was like, yeah,
- 56:34Speaker 7: I got to take me a bite. And I took
- 56:36Speaker 7: a bite, and I looked to my left. Getting stared
- 56:39Speaker 7: at hard because I'm eating.
- 56:41Speaker 1: Well, I got another message about Pooh's driving. Oh, here
- 56:44Speaker 1: we go.
- 56:44Speaker 5: What now?
- 56:45Speaker 1: What now? Just another person that said he was swerving.
- 56:50Speaker 1: Were you on 30 yesterday? No, I didn't go on 30.
- 56:53Speaker 6: Somebody took a picture of you and said you were
- 56:55Speaker 6: on 30 holding up traffic because something was going on.
- 56:58Speaker 6: You were on the phone and you weren't moving when
- 57:00Speaker 6: everybody else was moving.
- 57:02Speaker 1: I'm not kidding you.
- 57:04Speaker 5: On 30.
- 57:05Speaker 1: On 30. I think they said 30, and it was
- 57:07Speaker 1: in the mixed truck with our faces on it. No.
- 57:10Speaker 1: Show logo and poo just swerving all over the road. No,
- 57:13Speaker 1: because I was on George Bush. That sounds like a
- 57:16Speaker 1: personal issue. George Bush at 630. No, I didn't go
- 57:19Speaker 1: on 30 at all. Okay. No.
- 57:21Speaker 5: Maybe someone else.
- 57:22Speaker 1: Well, I had a good day yesterday. Forget his driving.
- 57:24Speaker 1: What did you do? Well, I got to meet my
- 57:26Speaker 1: garbage man for the first time.
- 57:29Speaker 3: Okay.
- 57:29Speaker 5: How'd that happen?
- 57:30Speaker 1: Why is it?
- 57:31Speaker 6: Maybe it's just me. Even as a grown man, I
- 57:33Speaker 6: get excited. This just must be a guy thing. I
- 57:36Speaker 6: get excited when I see the garbage truck.
- 57:38Speaker 1: Oh.
- 57:39Speaker 6: Shout out to all my garbage truck workers. Does anybody
- 57:42Speaker 6: else as a grown up, do you get excited about
- 57:43Speaker 6: this poo? Do you get excited?
- 57:45Speaker 1: No. You don't? Uh-oh.
- 57:46Speaker 5: I'll watch it if I'm outside.
- 57:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 57:48Speaker 1: Oh, I go out of my way.
- 57:49Speaker 5: Okay.
- 57:50Speaker 6: So I went out of my way because I felt
- 57:52Speaker 6: like I tried to line him up right so his
- 57:54Speaker 6: job is not harder because he used a machine to
- 57:55Speaker 6: throw him in.
- 57:56Speaker 1: Yeah. And yesterday, I think one of my neighbors hit
- 57:58Speaker 1: my garbage can, and it was wonky.
- 58:00Speaker 2: Oh.
- 58:01Speaker 1: And as he was pulling up, I was going outside
- 58:03Speaker 1: to straighten it up for him.
- 58:04Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 58:05Speaker 1: You know?
- 58:06Speaker 5: And you met him? Did you give yourself a sniff?
- 58:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 58:08Speaker 3: He did.
- 58:08Speaker 1: He did sniff. I also kind of wanted to show that, like,
- 58:11Speaker 1: I care.
- 58:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 58:12Speaker 1: About his job, and I'm trying to line him up
- 58:14Speaker 1: so it makes it easier for him. Right. Right, right.
- 58:16Speaker 1: And I saw him pulling up, and I was like, oh,
- 58:17Speaker 1: this is awkward. So I backed up a little bit,
- 58:20Speaker 1: but I still wanted to watch him throw the garbage can.
- 58:22Speaker 2: Oh.
- 58:23Speaker 1: And he rolled his window down. He's like, hey, appreciate that, boss.
- 58:26Speaker 2: Yep.
- 58:27Speaker 1: You got bossed?
- 58:27Speaker 2: Yep.
- 58:28Speaker 5: Did he give you a lollipop, too? 102.9. The new
- 58:35Speaker 5: Mix 102.9.
- 58:36Speaker 4: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 58:39Speaker 4: Kid in the Morning.
- 58:41Speaker 2: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 58:42Speaker 1: Are those your eggs, Candace?
- 58:44Speaker 5: Probably.
- 58:45Speaker 1: God, they stink.
- 58:46Speaker 5: You just now decided that?
- 58:48Speaker 1: It just came over.
- 58:48Speaker 5: They've been in here for 30 minutes.
- 58:50Speaker 1: It almost smells like, I thought there was like a leak,
- 58:51Speaker 1: like a gas leak.
- 58:53Speaker 2: Oh my God.
- 58:53Speaker 1: Like I was, no, I'm serious. I was nervous. I
- 58:56Speaker 1: was like, I don't know what's going on.
- 58:57Speaker 5: I haven't brought eggs in weeks.
- 58:59Speaker 6: Well, those look like they've been around for weeks. Oh, Candace,
- 59:02Speaker 6: what's going on?
- 59:03Speaker 5: Oh, guys, Dallas City Council members met with Flock yesterday
- 59:07Speaker 5: to discuss concerns about the cameras in the city.
- 59:10Speaker 2: Limits.
- 59:10Speaker 5: Flock now says they are doing proactive auditing of police
- 59:14Speaker 5: departments and their search patterns of these databases. Now they're saying, look,
- 59:18Speaker 5: if we see that something's weird that's being searched in
- 59:21Speaker 5: these databases, we're going to alert department leaders and then
- 59:25Speaker 5: they will basically handle it. A representative for Flock also
- 59:28Speaker 5: emphasized the cameras do not have facial recognition technology. They
- 59:32Speaker 5: say the cameras are only used for investigative purposes.
- 59:35Speaker 6: Well, it's like the cameras are good in cases where
- 59:38Speaker 6: they're trying to find a missing child or something.
- 59:39Speaker 1: So you want to go, OK, well, in those cases,
- 59:41Speaker 1: they're great.
- 59:42Speaker 6: And like anything else, it can be abused where then
- 59:44Speaker 6: you have a detective looking up his ex-girlfriend's.
- 59:47Speaker 1: Patterns of where she's going.
- 59:48Speaker 5: Right, they're looking up people they know.
- 59:49Speaker 1: Right, like that's not cool either.
- 59:51Speaker 5: Right, you're wasting time and resources on that.
- 59:54Speaker 1: It's just a slippery slope with these cameras.
- 59:56Speaker 5: It is for sure. Guys, an announcement from the Girl Scouts.
- 1:00:00Speaker 5: It just came out. They're debuting two new cookies, including
- 1:00:03Speaker 5: their first cookie for dogs. So it is called Patch Pals.
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: It's a soft-baked blueberry muffin-flavored dog treat. They've also announced Sparkles,
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: which is going to be their first cookie for families
- 1:00:15Speaker 5: dealing with food allergies. So I guess these are gluten-free, nut-free, vegan,
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: crunchy oatmeal cookies. So, yeah, I bet you guys won't
- 1:00:23Speaker 5: like them.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: Well, I mean, yeah, sure, I'd eat them.
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: Yeah, you would?
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: Dog treats? Pooh eats dog treats all the time.
- 1:00:29Speaker 5: Dog treats are the gluten-free.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: Nut-free vegan.
- 1:00:32Speaker 5: Actually, the dog treats probably have better ingredients.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Dog treats probably taste better.
- 1:00:37Speaker 6: All I know is Pooh not only ate dog treats
- 1:00:41Speaker 6: in my house one time, but he thought they were like,
- 1:00:42Speaker 6: because I buy my dog, my dog's spoiled.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: I buy him the good treats. They look like human treats,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: and I also have ice cream for my dog.
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: Yeah, I do too. We got him ice cream for
- 1:00:51Speaker 5: his birthday this year.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: Yeah, right.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: A good summer treat for your dog.
- 1:00:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: Pooh was mowing down on some dog ice cream one time.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: And it tastes. He goes, it tastes like regular ice cream. Yeah,
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: it does.
- 1:01:02Speaker 5: Was it peanut butter?
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: And the cookies were too.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, but Pooh, it's called Frosty Paws. You're
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: eating it.
- 1:01:11Speaker 5: Guys, this new Dunkin' ad is going viral this morning.
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: It features Emma and Jerry from the Spice Girls, and
- 1:01:18Speaker 5: it introduces a fictional sixth member of the group, Pumpkin Spice,
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: played by Rachel Dratch. This is really funny, too. I
- 1:01:25Speaker 5: guess the storyline is that she left the group to
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: pursue her real passion, which is lattes. But it's a
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: really cute commercial, so you're going to start seeing it
- 1:01:34Speaker 5: as we get into fall.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: Oh, good.
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: Yeah, about time we had a Pumpkin Spice girl.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: Yeah, way overdue.
- 1:01:39Speaker 6: I haven't even had a pumpkin spice latte yet this season.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: I haven't either.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: I said I was going to buy them today for
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: everyone on the show.
- 1:01:45Speaker 5: Well, let's do it.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: And then Pooh said he was busy. He couldn't run
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: across the street. I said I was busy. Did you
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: say you would go?
- 1:01:51Speaker 5: He's about to be busy.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I said I would go. Okay, well. Yeah, whenever
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: you treat, I'm going. But you didn't. So I'm just
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: curious what's going on.
- 1:02:00Speaker 5: We were a little wishy-washy.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:02:01Speaker 5: We had had enough coffee this morning when he said that.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: Well, now it's too late. I've retracted.
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: Well, yeah, he's got to be busy now, though.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: Yeah, now he's actually busy.
- 1:02:07Speaker 5: Yeah, for sure.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: The new Mix 102.9.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: It's Dirty Little Secret with Billy the Kid in the
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: Morning on Mix 102.9.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: Brought to you by Mint Dentistry.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: By the way, the jackpot is now up to $ 200. So, yeah,
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: it's going to keep going up if people keep messing up.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: Make sure you listen to Zan at 4 o'clock.
- 1:02:24Speaker 6: She'll do it around 4 o'clock. Our free gas all day.
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: We've got so many chances to win.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: All right, confess. It is time for your secret. What's up?
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: Well, I made this really tough decision. All right, so
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: here's the deal.
- 1:02:40Speaker 9: I anonymously reported my mother to the city.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: To the city? What do you mean? Why?
- 1:02:49Speaker 9: Well, nobody else in my family is as involved in
- 1:02:52Speaker 9: my mom's life as I am. And my mom is
- 1:02:54Speaker 9: a full-on total hoarder. I mean, I'm not she's not
- 1:02:58Speaker 9: not like somebody who's got like a lot of stuff,
- 1:03:00Speaker 9: but I'm talking like, I don't know, hoarders, TV show
- 1:03:04Speaker 9: level hoarder.
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: Really?
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: It's it's it's terrible. Like her house. It's not even
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: like walkable anymore. She has like little pathways and there's
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: just piles of stuff.
- 1:03:17Speaker 9: In a way to get anywhere she needs to get
- 1:03:19Speaker 9: from the kitchen or the bathroom and.
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: The room she can't even enter. And that's all she does.
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: She goes to like garage sales all the time.
- 1:03:28Speaker 9: And now, uh, you know, Facebook marketplace, it's, it's like
- 1:03:31Speaker 9: 10 times worse because she doesn't have to even leave
- 1:03:33Speaker 9: the house to find more stuff. And Oh, she's, she's got,
- 1:03:36Speaker 9: she's got, canned goods and and like food like actual
- 1:03:40Speaker 9: food that expired like years ago and she just she
- 1:03:43Speaker 9: won't you know she won't throw it away there's rodents
- 1:03:47Speaker 9: yes i've seen rodents and there's there's cats she's got
- 1:03:51Speaker 9: like multiple cats living in there.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: She's got rodents and cats living inside her house.
- 1:03:56Speaker 9: But i've seen rodents in there there's definitely cats that
- 1:03:59Speaker 9: are not hers and They're not hers?
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: They're just random cats in the house?
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: I mean, she's had cats.
- 1:04:04Speaker 9: I think maybe two of them are hers, but when
- 1:04:07Speaker 9: you go there, you don't know what cats are going
- 1:04:09Speaker 9: to be there that day.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: I mean, you would not believe how the house smells.
- 1:04:16Speaker 9: It's like beyond and she's, you know, she's used to it.
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:04:23Speaker 9: It kind of went nuts when my dad passed away
- 1:04:27Speaker 9: and then he was the one that kind of kept
- 1:04:28Speaker 9: her in check and And after he passed away, she
- 1:04:32Speaker 9: just kind of went nuts.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: I always wonder.
- 1:04:34Speaker 6: Yeah, I always wonder what people because I mean, I'm
- 1:04:37Speaker 6: kind of oddly fascinated by hoarders because you wonder what's
- 1:04:40Speaker 6: going on in their mind, how they can live that
- 1:04:41Speaker 6: way and just shut it off and think it's OK.
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: And why? And why can't use all that stuff?
- 1:04:46Speaker 6: You can never use all that stuff. So usually I
- 1:04:48Speaker 6: feel like it's I'm no psychologist, but I feel like
- 1:04:50Speaker 6: it's triggered by something.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: But who knows in this case?
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: So.
- 1:04:54Speaker 6: You've tried to help out, but you're very involved in
- 1:04:56Speaker 6: her life and you've tried to figure it out.
- 1:04:59Speaker 9: We've offered to clean it. We've offered to pay people
- 1:05:01Speaker 9: to clean it. We, you know, we beg her, we
- 1:05:03Speaker 9: fight her. You know, I tried to reach out to
- 1:05:06Speaker 9: the TV show hoarders and that didn't really work out.
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: But she just won't, she won't, she won't do anything.
- 1:05:12Speaker 9: So I, I, I don't know. I didn't know what
- 1:05:14Speaker 9: to do and I thought this would solve it. And
- 1:05:16Speaker 9: I called, I called the city and I didn't, I
- 1:05:19Speaker 9: didn't give him my name. I just, I just said
- 1:05:21Speaker 9: that I, there was a house that I knew of
- 1:05:23Speaker 9: that was a serious health and safety issue. And I
- 1:05:26Speaker 9: told him about all the food and the rodents and stuff.
- 1:05:29Speaker 9: And so they came and now they gave her an ultimate,
- 1:05:34Speaker 9: an ultimatum that the, the house has got to be
- 1:05:38Speaker 9: cleaned up or there's a possibility that it could be condemned,
- 1:05:42Speaker 9: which I thought, I guess I was what I wanted,
- 1:05:46Speaker 9: but my mom is, it's just gone way wrong.
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: She's devastated and she's, she's calling me all the time.
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: Just furious. Somebody reported me and he'll need to mind
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: their own business. And I, and I'm, it's me. I'm
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: listening to her knowing it's me.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: Now, what about your, your friend, the rest of the family?
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: Do they know that you're the one who did it?
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: They do not know. Nobody knows.
- 1:06:07Speaker 9: Nobody. I, you know, so I, I forced my mother's hand,
- 1:06:11Speaker 9: which I thought was a good thing, but now I
- 1:06:13Speaker 9: put my, her house at risk and I don't know
- 1:06:16Speaker 9: what to do. I mean, I, She's older and the
- 1:06:20Speaker 9: house is a fire hazard and it's unhealthy.
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: What if she falls in there one day? I mean,
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: nobody's going to be able to.
- 1:06:29Speaker 9: get to her finder she was i don't know so
- 1:06:32Speaker 9: that's why i did it and.
- 1:06:33Speaker 6: Well sometimes you got to do hard things to to
- 1:06:37Speaker 6: show people you love them yeah.
- 1:06:39Speaker 5: But now can't you guys go in and help like
- 1:06:41Speaker 5: you offered before.
- 1:06:42Speaker 8: Maybe that's what you do yeah i i guess we
- 1:06:45Speaker 8: i mean we've kind of forced her but she i
- 1:06:48Speaker 8: don't know if she's gonna have a breakdown or i
- 1:06:50Speaker 8: i mean she's just it's just really tearing my mom.
- 1:06:53Speaker 6: Up Well, this might be the opportunity you needed to go, okay, see, Mom,
- 1:06:56Speaker 6: now we.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: Have to help you.
- 1:06:58Speaker 5: Right, it's not just us who are concerned about it.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, and I've watched that show before, and
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: that's what sometimes it takes for them to turn it around.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: And there are cases where they have.
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:07:07Speaker 6: You have her best interest at hand, and it's just
- 1:07:09Speaker 6: the whole thing's fascinating to me. I really hope that
- 1:07:11Speaker 6: she gets the help she needs, and I hope you
- 1:07:13Speaker 6: guys figure this out. I don't think you could beat
- 1:07:15Speaker 6: yourself up by doing that because I think that she
- 1:07:18Speaker 6: needs a wake-up call, and it's almost like an intervention, really.
- 1:07:21Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: I guess.
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: I appreciate it. I'll keep the faith.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: Yeah, keep the faith.
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: There's nothing selfish about it for you.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: I mean, I think I was on the path of
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: being a hoarder, too. So I get it. I think
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: I was close.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: I just started throwing stuff away. But if I would
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: have been 80 or a little bit older, you know, older,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: I think I would be there. I'd be sleeping on
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: a pile of stuff I didn't want to throw away. No,
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: I won't let you because I always come over and
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: get your stuff.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: But I'll probably outlive you.
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: Oh.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: So I'm worried about it. Well, sir, thank you so much,
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: and listen, have a good day, and we appreciate you confessing,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: and keep us up to date on what's going on.
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: Appreciate you guys.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: I'm going to do what's best, even if it's hard.
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: You know? I'm Mix 102.9. It's Billy the Kid, Candace Lopez,
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Producer Pooh. We are getting out of here. Thank you
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: so much for making this a part of your day
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: and putting up with us. We're nuts. I get it.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: We're a little bit crazy, but we try to get
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: you going, and we do what we can. Yeah. So
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: thanks for being a part of our dysfunctional family.
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: Is what it is. Candace, what do you got going
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: on today?
- 1:08:19Speaker 5: I got to pull my kiddo out of school early
- 1:08:20Speaker 5: today to go to the dentist. He's got a 3
- 1:08:22Speaker 5: o'clock appointment. And I asked him, what time do you
- 1:08:24Speaker 5: want us to pick you up? And he was like, 2.45.
- 1:08:26Speaker 5: I was expecting him to say like 10 a.m.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: Yeah, 10.
- 1:08:29Speaker 5: He said 2.45.
- 1:08:30Speaker 8: Now.
- 1:08:32Speaker 5: Exactly. 2.45.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: He loves school.
- 1:08:34Speaker 5: He does. Yeah, he has a good time. Good.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: But 2.15.
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: 2.15.
- 1:08:37Speaker 5: We're going to get in there on time at least.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: 2.15. I know. Well, good. You know what? He gets
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: a little time off. I used to get excited. At
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: least you do it and then you don't take him back.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: I used to have to get out of school and
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: then go back to school.
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: Oh, no.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: And the only time that was fun is if you
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: got to walk into lunch with McDonald's.
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: Yes. Right.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Everybody would be hating. That was a big flex when
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: you were a kid.
- 1:08:56Speaker 5: Well, I plan his appointments at the end of the day.
- 1:08:58Speaker 5: That way I can just be done.
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: Yeah. And you won't let him eat McDonald's.
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:09:03Speaker 5: Sometimes.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: Or anything.
- 1:09:04Speaker 5: Yeah, right.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: Healthy sweet potato.
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: Yeah, right.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: Here's an air sandwich, Enzo. Enjoy.
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: No.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: I'm just kidding. Pooh, what do you got going on today?
- 1:09:14Speaker 7: I'm going to my 14-year-old, Brendan.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: His football game. I'm a surprise. He's got a game
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: on Wednesday? Yeah, they moved it since it was a
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: short week.
- 1:09:22Speaker 7: He normally plays on Thursdays, but today they're playing at
- 1:09:25Speaker 7: Wiley High School, so I'm going to go show up.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: I told him I'd show up.
- 1:09:29Speaker 5: Well, good.
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: You should.
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: Good, yeah.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: That's fun. Are they winning a lot lately or no?
- 1:09:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: We'll talk about that. It's okay. I mean, he got
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: some touches. That's all that's important. Yeah. I mean, this
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: is your retirement.
- 1:09:41Speaker 5: Yeah. No, I and team.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:09:43Speaker 5: There's me, though.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: If they're losing, it's because Pooh needs a coach. Yeah.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: What do they need to do, Pooh? Coach Pooh on
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: the sidelines. Well, you know, their run game is strong.
- 1:09:55Speaker 6: Oh.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: Yeah, but that defense needs to step it up a
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: little bit.
- 1:09:58Speaker 5: Oh.
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. Oh, there's Coach Poo. Oh, wow. We got
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: to get our head in the game, fellas. We got
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: to get our head in the game.
- 1:10:04Speaker 7: Stop thinking about everything else, playing them video games and
- 1:10:07Speaker 7: all that other stuff.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: This is a real football game right here. This ain't Madden.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: What is that? Is this Denzel Washington in.
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: What movie is that?
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: Remember the Titans. This is remember the Titans right now. Yeah,
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: we got to get our head in the game.
- 1:10:21Speaker 6: Thank you, Puzel, Washington. Defense wins, gains, baby. All right, well,
- 1:10:25Speaker 6: we'll see you tomorrow. Gas giveaway at 4 o'clock. And
- 1:10:28Speaker 6: if you need a pep talk or some motivation, just
- 1:10:30Speaker 6: call Poo.
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: He got you. We'll see you tomorrow.
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: Bye.
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: Okay, so don't be alarmed.
