- 0:00I hope you are buckled in, because I'm about to hit you with a
- 0:02little nostalge, which is half of nostalgia, Because did you see the news,
- 0:07Amanda, Pizza Hut is bringing back They're all you can eat lunch buffet.
- 0:12It's back, baby. You gotta look about you like you don't even
- 0:15know what that is. Yeah, I don't really remember that. I was
- 0:18excited, and I thought you were gonna say they're bringing back the book.
- 0:21And I noticed that about a month ago, and that that gave me my
- 0:25Jolly's the old school bookt Yeah, like the thing where if you read something
- 0:30you got to go get a little personal pizza. Pizza. Are you kidding
- 0:33me? Yeah? That made me that's back though. Yeah, I guess
- 0:37they're just running it back with everything. I was gonna say, better put
- 0:40that old juke box in the dining room too, remember that on the seed
- 0:44Easy he'd flip through. Yes, Oh my gosh, Pizza Hut says they're
- 0:48bringing back these buffets. And I actually had a friend text me. He
- 0:50went somewhere else, but he texted me a picture at Pizza Hut and it
- 0:53said the buffet is back. I'm like, oh my god, Now I
- 0:56don't know what the Fargo situation is because there is still one on Nineteenth Avenue,
- 1:00right. Is that pizza hut still open? Okay, I need to
- 1:04look this up because I cannot visualize a pizza hut. There's one Fargo right
- 1:08over by Happy Ares on Nineteenth Avenue. There was a pizza hut there,
- 1:11and it wasn't all that long ago. I remember going there for a lunch
- 1:15buffet, talking about in the last ten to fifteen years. Here we go
- 1:19thirteenth Avenue. Where's the pizza hut on thirteenth Avenue? That's got to be
- 1:23made. It's an express Okay, they probably got a little that's in the
- 1:26West, I think, Oh think I went in there. Oh interesting,
- 1:30there was one in more Head for my entire childhood, the one on East
- 1:33ten over there by the old frying pan. So that said, it's not
- 1:36guaranteed if it'll be coming back to Fargo. I mean I remember it being
- 1:38like five dollars and he would just destroy pizza. We had one in Woodina,
- 1:45Okay, and yeah, I vaguely kind of remember the buffet, but
- 1:49what's yeah going in I mean, pizza ranch kind of took over as far
- 1:53as and everything go. They filled that hole. If you will, what
- 1:57would you let's say, instead of pizza hut, what would you want to
- 2:00come back here in the farcarmoor In area restaurant one thing that I always loved.
- 2:04My mom and I would come shopping up here and we would always stop
- 2:07at the outback that got closed down. I was so bummed between the coconut
- 2:13trimp, the bluemin Onion, and then the older I got like their cocktails
- 2:15were so good. So I really do miss that franchise. But how many
- 2:21steak how many steakhouses can you have on Thirteenth Avenue within a you know,
- 2:24ten block I mean area. It would be nice to have like outside of
- 2:28Texas Roadhouse and then there, I know there's Longhorn, but a real like
- 2:31steakhouse. I feel like we're considering outback steakhouse. I've been there a few
- 2:36times. I've never had a steak it out back. I always went for
- 2:38the like I said, the Bloomin Onion and the and that was and that
- 2:40was right over here off the old Frontage Road. Yes, yeah, I
- 2:45think it's now a sushi place if I remember right, that are O Soccay.
- 2:50Oh yeah yeah, that was the same spot as growing up. There
- 2:53was a place was it called Ponderosa is now where Stiki's is, But there
- 2:58was a place called fud Rockers. Remember that. Oh my gosh, there's
- 3:01a mini golf course, Like that's where I really cut my teeth on the
- 3:05golf course. Was at mini golf course as a child. Fud Wreckers.
- 3:08I didn't remember that, but yeah, that was the Hamburger place. Yeah.
- 3:12I don't know if that was tied into the mini golf course that was
- 3:15there, I don't know, but it was all right there in that same
- 3:16spot. Yeah, what would you bring back? You know? I do
- 3:20miss the days at the Royal Fork. Remember the Royal Fork. It's a
- 3:24buffet. It was a buffet, you and your buffets, man. Yeah,
- 3:28that I just love. I mean Golden Crow when that was here.
- 3:30Obviously I got a little turned off of that. But TGI Fridays was also
- 3:35good. That is gone. We still have our chilies and that's all I
- 3:39care about. Oh my gosh, we do. I mean I moved into
- 3:43the mall, but that's a good place call. Yeah, that was a
- 3:45that was a real heyday there with the TGI Fridays and Chili's in the same
- 3:49parking lot directly across from each other. One of the great rivalries of our
- 3:53time. That and you know a lot of people, Oh my gosh,
- 3:57losing my mind. Not Green Mill, which was good down they had the
- 4:00Long Island tees. Oh that's the that's going to that's a that's a case,
- 4:06that's a gas station. Now that used to be Uh, that used
- 4:10to be on time. It was like that in the Hub. Yeah,
- 4:14Longlaymakers Tuesday or Wednesday or whatever. Playmakers. I even remember that. Boy,
- 4:18what a good round of reminiscent. Now here's what you need to know.
- 4:25Well, here we go. Tonight is the first debate between Biden and
- 4:29Trump. I guess this go around gonna be interesting no matter what side you're
- 4:32on, the fact that they're going to be shutting off the other person's microphone,
- 4:36there's not gonna be an audience. Uh. I think people are gonna
- 4:41be intrigued by I like that. I think it'll be good because there's just
- 4:44so much interrupting and it's impossible. It's just very stressful to watch. So
- 4:47to be able to hear them actually talk, Uh, you know, it'll
- 4:49be it'll be good without the crowd reaction, just raw, just two guys
- 4:55discussing it will be something. The debate is going to air tonight on CNN,
- 4:59but it was now yesterday that Fox and Friends, and honestly, we
- 5:01don't care about your political beliefs and where you're at. Fox and Friends obviously
- 5:08leans a different direction than maybe some other people's opinions. But I think it's
- 5:12pretty cool that Randy's Diner two is going to be the host place for them
- 5:15on Monday over in West Fargo. It's leading some people to believe that Governor
- 5:19Bergham will be in fact Trump's running mate. But yeah, I thought that
- 5:24was kind of find it's cool. You know, it's cool for Randy.
- 5:26I don't know Randy personally, but I think it's pretty cool. You know
- 5:29what, Actually, you know what, somebody told me. Somebody just played
- 5:30golf with the guy that owns Randy's. And I want to say, and
- 5:34this could be totally made up, but he played golf with the guy who
- 5:38owns Randy's and his name is Dennis. Oh. And then so my friend
- 5:43who played with him said, well, or why'd you call it Randy's.
- 5:46What are you going to call it? Dennis Denny's was already taken. Interesting.
- 5:50Yeah, what a fun fact, except for I feel like he made
- 5:53that all up. I didn't make it up. My friend told me that
- 5:56story. But again I'm sure people saying, maybe know who Dennis is and
- 6:01big story. Yeah. I actually just showed up on my timeline. I
- 6:05lived over by Shields Arena for a little bit. It was six years ago
- 6:09today. Remember he flew in and he was at Shields Arena, Donald Trump.
- 6:13Yes, yeah, I remember that. I was out there. Yeah.
- 6:15I was doing some wacky video stuff. Were you really don't you remember
- 6:19the wacky video stuff. I don't remember the wacky video stuff. I would
- 6:23have thought we would have been together doing the wacky video stuff, but no,
- 6:27remember that that was it. Yeah. It was a Trump rally and
- 6:30the woman that was the pastor of the church I went to ended up making
- 6:32the news. She got arrested at this she was leading a protest and she
- 6:36got it. Was just wild to open up the form another front page.
- 6:41There's my childhood pastor in handcuffs, Like, oh, that's where she's at.
- 6:46Okay, wow. Speaking to politics, Instagram admits it accidentally changed user
- 6:50settings to automatically limit political content by default. I guess back in February,
- 6:56Meta just in general did this. You don't need to fix it. I'm
- 6:59good. If I'm going to Instagram, I want cute babies, recipes and
- 7:03inspirational stuff. If I want politics, I go over to Facebook, where
- 7:08every you know, every guy named Gary and Greg are sharing articles from websites
- 7:13I've never heard of. That's where I get my politics. Do you think
- 7:15there's going to be any social media tonight about that? It may probably not.
- 7:19No, it should be pretty quiet. And this is kind of cool,
- 7:23you guys. Back in twenty twenty twenty three, Fargo won an award
- 7:27for the best tasting water in North Dakota. I'm like, okay, great,
- 7:30nice to win something other than drunkest city in America. Yeah, we'll
- 7:33get this. Apparently we have the second best water in America, really,
- 7:39according to the American water Works Association Annual Conference. They released the statement yesterday
- 7:44saying stiff competition. They said, Alaska has glacier water, Colorado uses snow
- 7:48melt water, and here we are with just I mean, what what water
- 7:54from underground? That's one of those things I just don't know anything about.
- 7:57Where where are all the time? But you don't know where is all of
- 8:00this water coming from, you know, snow melt. How are they doing
- 8:05that? What? I worked at a country club for the Corus family,
- 8:07like coming in Golden Colorado, and I remember them calling it like like the
- 8:13water was just even though they say it was like spring water, but apparently
- 8:18it was disgusting. Very informative. Thank you for that story. I started
- 8:24telling it and then I forgot exactly what they called it, So if I
- 8:28could have like taken the words back, and I just started and cores and
- 8:31I got a little excited. So the moral of that story is that's where
- 8:39I used from a country club. Got it. No, don't really remember
- 8:45drinking much water when I was working it. Are you crazy in Glacier water?
- 8:52Isn't that just something that sounds cool, like that you put on the
- 8:56bottom bottle is actually coming from glaciers? Because if so, I'm my wife
- 9:00though she grew up in Duluth, and she always says that their water's superior
- 9:03tars no pun into superior. I really didn't intend to do that. Do
- 9:09they have a brand up there called Superior Water? No, we're talking just
- 9:13good tap water, right, Yeah, we're not talking about any bottles.
- 9:15Oh yeah, that is true. Yeah, straight from the sink. I
- 9:18grew up in just outside of like the Wadina Deer Creek, Henny and Oatertail
- 9:22area. Roll Route two was back in the day or three. Gosh,
- 9:24I can't even remember now. It's Haven Drive and that water even still it's
- 9:31well wi well. Yeah, we grew up outside of Glenten with a well
- 9:35and that's just it's gross. It smells like a fart, tastes like a
- 9:37fart, and we still use the ice cubes like on the weekends and sometimes
- 9:41I'm like, ah, yeah, like the towards end, like something tastes
- 9:45a little funny. It was like really hard water, they say. And
- 9:46I don't remember. My hair was doing weird things growing up because of his
- 9:50an in the morning. Seven if I ever told you, I don't like
- 9:56to say this publicly too much, but once upon a time, as a
- 9:58young man, I made the horrible decision to prank call somebody Amanda I remember,
- 10:03and after a trial, a short trial, a plea agreement was reached.
- 10:09I was charged with the Class B misdemeanor. It's not bad guy,
- 10:11you are. It's not something I'm proud of. And it's taken me a
- 10:15long time to truly learn my lesson. Okay, oh yeah, by the
- 10:18way, are you ready Pike's prank? Ready? Here we go. You
- 10:20want suspect a thing when you hear that telephone room by spraying, never learn
- 10:28this lesson by spray sunny, you want to arrested by Frank. Had a
- 10:35lady reach out to me and say her husband, much like me, is
- 10:39a big golfer and he's getting his club's regripped where they take the old grips
- 10:43and they replace him with new ones. Yep, re grip anyway, So
- 10:46he's had him in there for a couple of days now at the old golf
- 10:48shop, and so I think we should prank call him old gosh. All
- 10:52right, here we go, Pikes pray ready. Hello, Hi, Brent,
- 11:03Brent, Brent, Doug Funny down here at say, we're gonna need
- 11:09your clubs through the weekend now, so you're gonna be able to pick those
- 11:13bad boys up on Monday. Okay, really can ask why new grips it
- 11:18takes so long? Well, if I'm being honest, Gary has a big
- 11:22scramble coming up this weekend down there in Brainerd And while he really has taken
- 11:26a liking to your set, so he's going to use him. And like
- 11:30I said, we'll have him all ready for you on Monday to be picked
- 11:33up. Okay, okay, No, Gary who? Oh Gary who works
- 11:37here? You might know him as Gary Gary chest is Harry, it's a
- 11:43nickname of his. Maybe you know him, not know Gary. There's no
- 11:46freaking way he's using my club. I mean, well, it's just for
- 11:50the weekend. And really it's not a bad idea to test out the new
- 11:54grips, you know, so that way when you pick them up on Monday,
- 11:56they're battle tested. No, this is true. I don't think Gary
- 12:01or anybody else testing out my clothes. I don't borrow my clothes to anybody.
- 12:05I thought this was this is an incredible golf shop. Well, Brent,
- 12:09it's just that the new grips are coming in from North Korea, and
- 12:13you know, the shipping is just a bit delayed, so it's just gonna
- 12:16be a bit What are you talking about. You literally just said it's because
- 12:18some guy named Gary's borrowing the first scramble. Oh yeah, shoot, okay,
- 12:24yeah, okay, you got me. It's because Gary's borrowing them.
- 12:26But Brent, we promise he'll take good care of them. Swear to God,
- 12:31they'll be just fine come Monday. There's no way in the hell of
- 12:33w you use my club This is ridiculous, you know what. I'm just
- 12:37gonna come get them right now. Gary doesn't t off till Saturday morning.
- 12:39So if you could just weary's not okay. Gary could use his own clothes,
- 12:45But Brent, he really likes yours. I don't care his clubs,
- 12:50and they're like yours to be borrowing. I'm coming in right now to get
- 12:52my clothes and there's no way I'm paying a dime for this nonsense. Yeah,
- 12:56that's it's gonna be a problem. Why why is that going to be
- 13:01a problem. Well, Gary actually already left for Brainer this morning. So
- 13:07take a call Gary right now and get it back here, we see,
- 13:11Brent. That's gonna be hard because there's no Gary. And this is a
- 13:15prank call. What are you talking about? This is Pike from Piking amand
- 13:18in the morning we're doing Pike's prank. Your wife sets you up. This
- 13:22is a prank call. No, oh my god, Sorry, Brent.
- 13:31No, don't worry. Your clubs are fine. I'm sure your wife thought
- 13:33it would be funny to give you a hard time about the golf clubs you
- 13:35got getting regripped right now, so no worries. She is ridiculous. I
- 13:41can't believe. I just felt for that. I love it. You're getting
- 13:45a little worked out. I like my clubs, man, I don't Gary
- 13:48thout you boys in those clubs. Well to miss a prime June weekend without
- 13:52your golf clubs, are you out of your mind? No, Harry Gary
- 13:56my club you know by White and Amanda in the morning on Big seven,
- 14:07fourth of July, already a week from to day. Can you believe that?
- 14:11Crazy? I know this summer is flying by Yetick kind of didn't even
- 14:15feel like it started yet. It's so weird. I had a nice conversation
- 14:18last night in the parking lot at Rose Creek with the head pro out there,
- 14:20Matt Cook, A little name drop for you, and now you know
- 14:24that head pro believe it. Yeah, nice guy, very nice guy.
- 14:30But we were talking about summer and how it felt because it was sort of
- 14:31an early summer. It felt like it was like, oh, it's still
- 14:35early. I can't plait it's still only May. And then now suddenly it's
- 14:37like boom fast forward, almost over. But yeah, I already have like
- 14:41the Summer Scaries. Yeah, yes, just over. I know. Well,
- 14:48what are you going to be eating for the fourth of July a week
- 14:50from today? There was a whole big survey because give me one second,
- 14:54Pike, I need to pull up my group text. I have a full
- 14:56menu plan Wednesday through Sunday. Would you like it? Just I'm not kidding,
- 15:01this is really how my family is. Uh well, I'll be there
- 15:05Wednesday to Wednesday and yeah, but for the most part, I think a
- 15:11lot of people are gonna go Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday for sure.
- 15:13But yeah, yeah, okay. Well some of the in demand items
- 15:16this year in include potato salad. Oh yeah, baby back ribs, hot
- 15:22dog bunts, just the butt hot dog bunch. If you are just going
- 15:28just put a rib in a hot dog bun. Take you know, you
- 15:37know canned baked beans that's up this year and brought worst. Something about canned
- 15:41bake beans, are you I've told you how I like to eat them,
- 15:45right, I can only imagine how do you eat your baked beans? I
- 15:52love having potatoes potato chips crumpled on top of are using. This is disgusting,
- 16:00but it's so good. I will use a chip and scoop it up
- 16:04like pork and beans is a dip. Okay, the least weird thing I've
- 16:08ever heard. That's really okay. I thought you're gonna describe some weird circus
- 16:12act. You know how I eat baked beans, don't you. It looks
- 16:18like for our Thursday, fourth of July, we're going to be having tacos
- 16:22in a bag and then for dinner smash burgers. Oh, smash burger is
- 16:26on a on a griddle. But also we're doing like the sloppy Joe.
- 16:30Somebody whips up like a big huge thing of that. That's easy. Yeah.
- 16:33I love sort of Fourth of July style barbecues for the sides. Love
- 16:37potato salad, love them noodle salad, just all the dips. Yeah,
- 16:41thank you. By the way, to all these Internet people who are whipping
- 16:44up all these Instagram reels for like pasta salads and different things. I have
- 16:49one cousin who just she just sits on there and makes like the best,
- 16:52like all the noodle stuff. Like, I love anything. If you add
- 16:56peas to a salad with anything else, that's one of my favorites. No,
- 17:00it's a big this year though. Charcoal people go into charcoal grills,
- 17:03which something about like I love the ease of a gas grill, of course,
- 17:07but man, that smell of a charcoal grill on a really nice summer
- 17:11day. You use charcoal. No, we have a trigger, so the
- 17:15pellets and then the blackstone and then honestly, you know, me and the
- 17:21Ambassador hot dogs talk about it. She has a lifetime contract with the Ambassador.
- 17:26I wish I did. But putting those over the fire, that's my
- 17:30favorite way, like eat those. Basically, I told you two dogs one
- 17:33bit. Oh, that's right. Because they're so tiny. Oh, they're
- 17:37so good. Why do you like them that they're so small? Just because
- 17:41the flavor? I like that, Like when you the caseine on them,
- 17:44when you bite into it, it's like huh, yeah, I know what
- 17:48you mean. Yes, But then you have like a ballpark, Frank,
- 17:52it's like kind of soggy in a way, like when you really think about
- 17:55the hot dog that way, a little flimsy, yeah, kind of like
- 17:59ooh, I don't know what it might do. What could it do?
- 18:03I don't know, I don't know, but I want to hot dogs,
- 18:04ambassadors and chips right now in the morning, big nuddy. Oh this is
- 18:14fun. People were reminiscing. I was reading online, Amanda, was you
- 18:18know mean on the internet. Yeah, you're a big reddit guy, ive
- 18:21Reddit. And people are reminiscing on phrases their parents would say when they were
- 18:25growing up. Oh gosh, and parents are you know, famous for just
- 18:27saying cheesy you know, like the sort of the dad joke or you know,
- 18:33or I'm tired, Hi tired, I'm dale so bike. This hits
- 18:37real close to home because every day I am turning more and more into my
- 18:41mother. Is that right, yes, Like as far as your parenting style,
- 18:45just everything, Like I catch myself. I'm like, my god,
- 18:48I am I am a mom. Like what are some phrases that you're saying?
- 18:51So twenty years from now your kids will be like, oh my mom
- 18:53used to say. I say this. I do all the things where you
- 18:59know, you can't have ice cream before dinner or the the park is closed.
- 19:04I will do that, let your tummy subtle before you go swimming or
- 19:08before we do really anything, just because I get it now. I just
- 19:12need a little break, Like I'm still trying to clean up the kitchen and
- 19:15you're halfway to the park. That's not you gotta let your tummy subtle.
- 19:18I think that's where that started. Is that right? It's like, because
- 19:22you just need a beat. Well you got You can't be eating before you
- 19:25swim, that's true. I mean you can. You might get a little
- 19:27side egge h, no, I a wait, I religiously wait thirty minutes
- 19:34at least go swimming. I swim. Oh yeah, all right. Some
- 19:40of the other ones, people reminisced about their parents saying growing up, one
- 19:42person's mom would always say things like, let me show you a trick I
- 19:47learned in the army. The mom was never in army. Yeah, yeah,
- 19:52that's a total mom thing to say, I feel like, And a
- 19:56lot of it is that's ridiculous. I've never heard, right, But a
- 19:59lot of I think looking back to the things like my dad said or mom,
- 20:00and it's a lot of like old references that you're just you don't know.
- 20:04It is probably from an old TV show or something like that. I
- 20:07guess, like Bonanza or somesh Yeah, mash, I'm not sleeping. I'm
- 20:12just resting my eyes. Oh yeah, I'm real good at that. Yeah,
- 20:17why do you Why is it? My dad would always say that I'm
- 20:18just resting my eyes, Like you're passed out on the couch. What are
- 20:22you talking about? I don't know, like you get busted. Who cares?
- 20:25Like Nick does that a lot. He's like, no, I was
- 20:27just resting my eyes. I'm like, you can take a nap like you.
- 20:30Who are you trying to justify the napes because I didn't. But it's
- 20:37fine. That's how you take a nap. That's like the precursor you got.
- 20:40You start by resting your eyes and then pretty soon your body is asleep.
- 20:42When the mom would get lost driving, this person said she would say,
- 20:45the world's round will get there eventually, Okay. My dad would always
- 20:49say things like, you know, rub some dirt on it, you'll be
- 20:53fine, sucking up. I could be out there in the yard with a
- 20:56severed leg, you know, like literally bleeding out of my eyeballs. I
- 21:02wrab some dirt on it, You'll be fine. Nick will look at the
- 21:04kids if they're crying, and it's I've told you this numerous times. If
- 21:10Nick does something, the kids do it. It's just this instant dad thing.
- 21:12He has the whistle. He gives the whistle. I'll tell the kids
- 21:15to come inside. They don't listen. He gives the whistle. They're in
- 21:19the house so fast and in their chairs, like, oh, it's time
- 21:22for dinner. Bizarre. But he will just say dry up, like,
- 21:26not in a mean way, but he'll just go dry up if the kids
- 21:29are crying, and they'll just kind of go really okay, Yeah, it's
- 21:33it's crazy superpower he really does. Does he ever do it to you when
- 21:37you're crying for no reason? I think he knows better not to tell mom
- 21:41to dry up. I would never but it would would make me probably cry
- 21:47even more. Or I can't even say things like you know, calm down
- 21:52or right. The worst thing I could ever say is relax. I can't
- 21:55imagine going to dry up. Dry up baby an in the morning, come
- 22:00on, get up on big. We talked about the worst thing in the
- 22:04world. What would you say in the human experience, what is the one
- 22:10of the worst things you have to go through? So for me, I
- 22:14would say divorce was one of the worst things. And don't get all serious
- 22:18on me. I mean, yeah, that would be that'd be pretty rough.
- 22:21I was gonna say that losing friends and family terrible, right, but
- 22:26nothing compared to having to move. I was just about to say moving.
- 22:30Yeah, it is a hands now and the worst thing that can happen to
- 22:34you is having to move from one residence to another. Yeah, especially if
- 22:40you're the one has to do the moving. Yeah. I mean, at
- 22:41this point, I feel like we finally have hit a stage. Ain't nobody
- 22:45asking to help move this? If it's a one thing, like when I
- 22:49moved into the apartment when we got to town here, Yeah, like my
- 22:52brother helped me move the couch in. It's like, you know, yeah,
- 22:56you can pay somebody to do it. Yeah, you know, and
- 22:59a man, You're probably in the same boat as my wife. It's like,
- 23:02nobody is more stressed about the move than you or my wife. But
- 23:06yet where are you when there is any lifting to be? Like, you're
- 23:08not doing any of it because we've done everything before that packed everything and oh
- 23:15nice job. I know. Well I have moved so many times and my
- 23:21wife just point, do you have anything to move? Every time we move?
- 23:25It's nice. I love it. That's why I keep moving. It's
- 23:26because you just declutter, You get rid of stuff, and pretty soon you
- 23:29have barely anything and you get to your new place and it's like, oh,
- 23:32hey, do we where's the spatulas? I think I threw the spatulis
- 23:36away. We had the light and the load, you know. I guess,
- 23:38yeah, my wife should gets so stressed about it. But now it
- 23:41turns out though generation Z they're actually embracing the process of moving. Why yeah,
- 23:48well, it just sounds like they're more into it than generations past.
- 23:52Uh. They say, not only are they on top of their finances,
- 23:55but they say they actually enjoy the process of moving. According to a new
- 23:59study's enjoy it. I mean, listen, are they crazy? Moving?
- 24:03It can be sort of exciting when you're if you're excited about the move,
- 24:07you're moving into a new house. I was gonna say the last time we
- 24:10moved, of course, we had built a home and it was just like,
- 24:12this is gonna be great. It's more space, we have a lot.
- 24:15I get that, but the actual process and going through is just like,
- 24:19well, the worst thing it's when you're moving for somebody else because you're
- 24:22not getting any of that. You know, it's not your new place.
- 24:26You don't care at all. Yeah, yeah, so are he's on the
- 24:30board on the side of don't ask people to help you move. Yeah,
- 24:33I feel like we've hit that place after I don't mean I wouldn't say after
- 24:37thirty there might be some people, but yeah, for the most part,
- 24:40No, I'm not I'm not helping you move. Yeah, it is gidding
- 24:44and it's not like a oh well, i'll get you next time. My
- 24:47dad he loves helping people move into stuff like that's one of the craziest things
- 24:51I've ever heard. And he loves it like he people just know. It's
- 24:52like call Manny, he'll get he'll do. He's got a truck and everything.
- 24:56He was just ready to go. You gotta hate being the truck guy.
- 25:00It's that's so Yeah, it's just a lot of people were each coming
- 25:03out of the woodwork. Hey yeah, you got a truck, right,
- 25:10just a couple of things. Yeah, why, there's a lot of stuff
- 25:12in that truck though. I'm sorry, So you mean you can't fit a
- 25:15couch in there this weekend? Real quick, we're working around your schedule.
- 25:18When when are you free nights weekends? What's a good time And at what
- 25:22point do you just know somebody just doesn't want to help people sometimes don't pick
- 25:26up those big signs. I know I'm a soccer, but then you know,
- 25:30if you do help somebody, then you got one in your back pocket.
- 25:32If you ever need a face, Oh, you got an ice cold
- 25:33beer in a thank you. Let's be real, Let's stop doing the pizza
- 25:37things. Don't worry. Don't we all bring the pizza. I'll even get
- 25:41a keg if you help me move a Jack's nice. It really went all
- 25:45out like it a minute in the morning, big natty eight point seven.
- 25:48If you're rolling in, you know, five ten minutes after when you're supposed
- 25:52to close enough, right, would you say, yeah, I guess no,
- 25:57I'm kind of yesterday you were supposed to be somewhere and I'm like,
- 26:00you're not there yet, and You're like, no, I don't know if
- 26:03you be there for fifteen minutes. I'm the girl who shows up like fifteen
- 26:07minutes early and that's on time. Really old school of me by a Kidgeonhold
- 26:11me is this late guy? It was something that if it would do me
- 26:15no good to get there early. You know what I mean, there's just
- 26:18if all you're gonna do is sit in your car. Yeah, I know
- 26:19that, don't get there early. I'm always that person. Well, generations
- 26:23ease are not that person either, because there's a new study out in turns
- 26:29on gen Z view being five to ten minutes late as essentially the same thing
- 26:33as being on time. No, and that drives me absolutely insane. Don't
- 26:38tell me you're going to be somewhere, or don't lie to me that you're
- 26:41on your way somewhere when you're clearly have not left your house. And I
- 26:47can tell, because I can tell when you're your car calling me and when
- 26:48you're not. Yeah, it's about we all have a family member or a
- 26:52friend who you just know they're gonna be I'm just not with golf especially,
- 26:56there's those friends you have to lie to them about what the tea time is,
- 27:00yeah, because you know they're going to be twenty minutes late, so
- 27:03just tell him it's thirty minutes earlier, and then they get there and they're
- 27:06barely on time. We would tell my mom an hour it was an hour
- 27:11off all the time, like he was so frustrating. I'm like, come
- 27:17on, I'm just a very prompt person. It's one thing to be just
- 27:19a little late, but yeah, people who are like crazy, like sometimes
- 27:22it's just like hours have gone by, like what do you what do you
- 27:25think we're doing? Yeah, it's doing their thing, certainly disrespectful to a
- 27:29point, but generations he doesn't see it that way. And you know what,
- 27:32I've noticed a lot lately, like if there is something going on just
- 27:34the last minute, how people think they can just shoot a text And I
- 27:38don't know if it is just that generation of the world of text. It
- 27:42doesn't feel like it's a big deal. But it's like, oh, yeah,
- 27:45sorry, I'm not doing that, or yeah I miss that, or
- 27:48I'm not coming now. It's like what but it's happening right now, and
- 27:52you think it's okay to just not show up. Yeah, there's a lot's
- 27:56a lot of different things going on with this generation, and they do say
- 28:00a lot of it is due to just the rapid technology change. You know,
- 28:03it feels like being on time is just not as important as it used
- 28:06to be. Meanwhile, in the same survey Boomers, you can imagine it
- 28:10was very much the opposite. What's the old saying this our a football coach
- 28:14used to say, to be early, to be early is to be on
- 28:17time, to be on time is to be late, and to be late
- 28:19is to be forgotten. This is kind of how I was raised with the
- 28:22fifteen minutes. Yeah, it's sort of probably a military thing too, but
- 28:26yeah, we all have the friend where we used to joke this guy like
- 28:29he'll be like, oh yeah, on my way and it's like, okay,
- 28:32so he's just now getting in the shower, like you can just he's
- 28:34still on his way back from d ol And like when I excuse me,
- 28:38when I say I'm coming in hot or I'm I'm gonna be coming in hot,
- 28:42it's like that's me showing up literally on time, and that gives me
- 28:45anxiety. Oh exactly, Yeah, especially with the tea time, because you
- 28:48know, at this age, you guys, you can't just be walking.
- 28:52You can't walk right up to the first tea box without doing a couple of
- 28:55these stretches. It excuse me. I think it's as part of the program
- 28:57that I'm supposed to ask you. Yeah, yep, it is. How
- 29:00was league night? Thanks, Amanda? Geez, fifteen minutes have gone bye
- 29:04and you haven't said a thing. It was. It was a beautiful night
- 29:07golf Ley get Rose Creek last night, just one of those gorgeous nights where
- 29:10I don't know if it's gonna get better, I don't know. If it's
- 29:11kind of perfect temp not a lot of wind, played pretty well. Did
- 29:15I get to win? No? But did I tie? Yeah, which
- 29:18is as good as a loss in my book. But still, you know,
- 29:22good time. Thank you for asking like a mad in the morning on
- 29:29Big Nutty eight points seven Now, Amanda Stills, Let's see, Let's see,
- 29:33brought to you by JDP Electric. Well, the Kelsey brothers yesterday were
- 29:37kind of recapping what went on over the week, and of course we got
- 29:41to see some highlights, but we didn't hear it from them. How it
- 29:44was Jason going to Taylor's first show and he dished. Obviously, Taylor's an
- 29:48amazing singer songwriter, but then to be able to go out there and be
- 29:52a performer at that level for how long she was up there for like three
- 29:55and a half hours, four hours? Yeah, forty five songs. Oh
- 29:56my gosh. If I did what she did for one song, I would
- 30:00have to change my clothes. I'm in the tent, like gosh, I
- 30:03need a break. Yeah, man, I'm trying to drinking these beers and
- 30:04Taylor's still saying that I love that, and Jason went on, he kind
- 30:10of got emotionally. He goes there was a couple of points where he was
- 30:11tearing up because she has a young girl go up and perform. I think
- 30:15twenty two or something. But yeah, that was cool. Forty five songs.
- 30:18Listen, that's impressive. That's a lot of performing. Obviously, it's
- 30:22nothing new to me. In the band loow standards, we play forty eight
- 30:25songs on Saturday night, so you know, with how many dead breaks.
- 30:29It's two half hour breaks. But don't tell me she didn't take breaks a
- 30:30break. She goes down for these wardrobe. Yeah, she's stustling, trying
- 30:34to get nylons up, down, around and well, new outfits. Nobody's
- 30:38helping herself. Thus, guys, you know, put our pants on.
- 30:41I'm the same. She's got it pretty good. Oh my gosh, listen
- 30:44to you. By the way, I remember Prince William. He celebrated his
- 30:48birthday with his kids there, and listen, this is pretty ridiculous. Listen
- 30:52to the guys. There was royalty at the show. Got to meet Prince
- 30:55William. Dude, he was the coolest mother. He was so cool.
- 30:57This is good. Obviously we're backstage meeting. He was there with a little
- 31:00George and Charlotte. They were an absolute delight to me. Wasn't sure if
- 31:04I was supposed to like bow to them, Curtsey, just be an American
- 31:10idiot and shake their hand. I think it is shake you going for the
- 31:12handshake? Right? Yeah? I mean I say that now because we don't
- 31:17we don't believe in that. That's nonsense, Royalty, Are you kidding me?
- 31:22I'd be I'd be the first guy on my knees bowing. I'm gonna
- 31:25be honest. I don't think it would cross my mind because I've never been
- 31:27in that situation. If you knew your mean them, though, would you
- 31:30be hyped up? Like, oh my god, what am I supposed to
- 31:32do? Again? I don't think that would cross my mind to be like
- 31:34curtsy if if you don't, if you disrespect them, are they gonna you
- 31:38know, behead you in the town square? Yeah, that's true. I
- 31:41never really thought about repercussions, all right, Emma Roberts, I totally forgot
- 31:47about this. She is Julia Roberts's niece and then her dad, of course,
- 31:52Eric Roberts, is also in Hollywood. They call her a NEPO baby,
- 31:55but she said you know what, I never really wanted to be really
- 31:59famous. It's a certain kind of scary about it because she watched her aunt,
- 32:01Julia Roberts, grow up, and that even wasn't as bad as it
- 32:06is now, Like Julia Roberts was already at her peak before TMZ and all
- 32:09the paparazzi and all that kind of stuff. You know, definitely prime what
- 32:14do you call the tabloids, you know, like the National and choir.
- 32:16I'm sure there were some headlines, but she seemed like and I was too
- 32:19young to probably realize it, but she had a pretty easy go at it,
- 32:22right. There was no nothing to farious, right, and I think
- 32:24there was a lot of I'm sorry what nothing ne farious as far as her
- 32:29behavior. Nothing nefarious. I've never heard that word. But you've heard nefarious,
- 32:35I haven't. I mean, listen, if you want to think I'm
- 32:37a genius for saying that, great Dandalus, is that what you're is that
- 32:39the Amanda version of the I think that would work. Yeah, not that
- 32:44I know of. I know there was a lot of things. I think
- 32:46she had kind of spoke out during the Harvey Weinstein stuff that was going on,
- 32:50just that Yeah, things may have happened nothing to her, but it
- 32:53was uncomfortable in the eighties and nineties. Yeah, well, nefarious is defined
- 32:59as wicked or criminal, typically of an action or activity. Yeah, so
- 33:05she did nothing wicked or criminal that I don't remember. No, but Emma
- 33:07Roberts basically said that she never wanted to reach that level of scary and scary
- 33:12to her was never being able to be left alone. I don't know,
- 33:15is she she's pretty famous? What was she in We're the Miller's That was
- 33:17her, right, Emma Roberts. I feel like I get her and Emma
- 33:21Stone mixed up all the time. Easy to do, but he's very good.
- 33:25I mean, listen back on the NEPO baby thing, like, of
- 33:29course she wouldn't be where she is now she didn't have Julia Roberts as her
- 33:30aunt, right, And yeah, she was in that very job, all
- 33:36right. Surrey Cruz, she has followen along with Brad Pitt's kids. She
- 33:39dropped her dad's name, so she is now a Surrey Noel. I was
- 33:44kind of wondering, why wudn't you just go with Holmes for Katie Holmes,
- 33:45But Noel is Katie Holmes's middle name. Huh, that says a lot about
- 33:50how bad of a dad Thomas, because Cruz objectively is a pretty cool last
- 33:53name. That just growing up Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, that's like,
- 34:00can you imagine if you know they were, they were the hottest thing.
- 34:04Now their kids are dropping their names like bad dad alert weird. It's just
- 34:07weird. It is weird. You think, uh, I know, I
- 34:10guess you can't be that cool and sexy and also be a good dad.
- 34:14It's just too many things. It's too much going on that makes me sad.
- 34:19Sorry, I didn't mean this. I didn't mean to do that.
- 34:22I'm sorry.
