- 0:00Speaker 1: Stirring the pot, one morning at a time. Welcome to
- 0:05Speaker 1: the Alabama Show.
- 0:16Speaker 2: So I have this, there's this one girl that works
- 0:18Speaker 2: at the Starbucks I go to every morning.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:21Speaker 4: By the way, good morning. And thank you for listening
- 0:23Speaker 4: to the Alabama Show. I'm Alabama with producer Blake. She
- 0:26Speaker 4: has the most amazing voice. Okay.
- 0:29Speaker 2: It's like real smooth and like this every time she
- 0:32Speaker 2: takes my order through the drive-thru. And so I've told
- 0:36Speaker 2: her before, I've been like, girl, you need to be
- 0:38Speaker 2: a voice actor.
- 0:38Speaker 4: You need to read novels.
- 0:40Speaker 2: And today I pull up, I was like, why are
- 0:42Speaker 2: you not? Because she's young. She's like in college. I
- 0:45Speaker 2: was like, why are you not famous yet from reading?
- 0:48Speaker 4: But I figured out what she needs to do even better.
- 0:50Speaker 2: I was like, you need to do those ASMR TikTok videos.
- 0:54Speaker 5: I was about to tell you, it sounds like you've
- 0:55Speaker 5: got an ASMR queen at the Starbucks you go to.
- 0:57Speaker 4: Thank you for coming to Starbucks. Here's your Starbucks order.
- 1:01Speaker 6: I hate that. Don't do that.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Here's your grande frappuccino.
- 1:05Speaker 6: No, don't do that. That's awful.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Would you like a cake pop with that?
- 1:10Speaker 6: God, that's awful.
- 1:10Speaker 5: Stop.
- 1:11Speaker 6: I hate ASMR, and that's disgusting.
- 1:17Speaker 4: I love that. She would be so good. And she's cute.
- 1:20Speaker 4: I was like, let me be your manager. I'll be
- 1:22Speaker 4: a millionaire with you. Come on.
- 1:25Speaker 6: Let's make some money, girl.
- 1:27Speaker 4: She thinks I'm crazy. I mean, she's not wrong. She's not.
- 1:30Speaker 6: She's not. She is not.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Anyway, good morning.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Thank you for listening to the show. If you want
- 1:35Speaker 2: some ASMR, here's what's coming up.
- 1:38Speaker 6: And if you don't.
- 1:39Speaker 4: What the hell headlines at 6.50?
- 1:43Speaker 6: God, that is awful.
- 1:44Speaker 4: Stop it. It's so good. Okay, anyway, thanks for listening.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Stop.
- 1:48Speaker 1: It's What the Hell Headlines.
- 1:49Speaker 4: What the hell are you talking about?
- 1:51Speaker 1: On the Alabama show.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Thousands of people were issued a driver's license with a
- 1:57Speaker 2: random man's face. What?
- 2:00Speaker 6: What do you do with that? You go about fixing it.
- 2:03Speaker 4: Fake ID.
- 2:04Speaker 2: More than 8000 Michigan residents who applied for a new
- 2:07Speaker 2: driver's license got an ID with a random stock photo
- 2:10Speaker 2: of a stranger. The state says it was a mistake.
- 2:13Speaker 2: So new IDs are being sent out. But listen to
- 2:15Speaker 2: two of the people who got the I.D.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I was excited, like, oh, I'm about to finally get
- 2:20Speaker 1: my license.
- 2:21Speaker 4: I looked at my license.
- 2:22Speaker 1: It seemed that this man was on here and I
- 2:24Speaker 1: automatically knew that it wasn't right.
- 2:26Speaker 4: I'm like, OK, maybe they're putting the secretary of state
- 2:28Speaker 4: on the licenses. But then I'm like, girl, the secretary
- 2:32Speaker 4: of state is not a black man. They could have
- 2:34Speaker 4: sent out an email or anything. I have no clue
- 2:37Speaker 4: when I'm receiving my actual license.
- 2:39Speaker 7: What the hell?
- 2:41Speaker 1: Super easy trivia with The Alabama Show.
- 2:44Speaker 2: All right, Producer Blake, you are showing off your trivia
- 2:47Speaker 2: skills today. And if you are listening to the show
- 2:50Speaker 2: and you want to win a pair of tickets to
- 2:52Speaker 2: rock the South the first weekend of October, Jesse Murph,
- 2:56Speaker 2: Jason Aldean, and more, call the show 833-501-BAMA.
- 2:59Speaker 4: Producer Blake's going to win them for you, okay?
- 3:01Speaker 6: That's right. Let's do it right now.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Come on, Alabama. All right, question number one.
- 3:04Speaker 6: All right.
- 3:05Speaker 4: What color is an emerald?
- 3:08Speaker 6: That one's green.
- 3:10Speaker 4: Good job.
- 3:11Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 3:12Speaker 4: What's the name of the fairy in Peter Pan?
- 3:15Speaker 6: Tinkerbell.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Good job.
- 3:18Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 3:20Speaker 4: And last one for the win.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Uh-huh. How many planets are in our solar system?
- 3:26Speaker 6: You're bringing up a hot topic. There's eight legally.
- 3:30Speaker 4: Eight because Pluto is no longer a planet.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:43Speaker 4: Congratulations, you won.
- 3:44Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Also, if you want to win these tickets to Rock
- 3:48Speaker 2: the South, call in right now. 833-501-BAMA is the number.
- 3:50Speaker 4: That's 833-501-2262.
- 3:54Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know with the Alabama Show.
- 3:58Speaker 2: There's a cyber attack that keeps Alabama nursing licensed. The
- 4:02Speaker 2: system is offline, so it's forced the Alabama Board of
- 4:05Speaker 2: Nursing licensing system offline, which has delayed renewals for over
- 4:10Speaker 2: 80,000 nurses and new graduate applications statewide. So what they're
- 4:14Speaker 2: doing now, paper applications. You can fill out a paper
- 4:17Speaker 2: application online. And they are accepting those all over the
- 4:21Speaker 2: statewide of Alabama. So if you want to get more
- 4:23Speaker 2: and the locations and everything, go to WBRC.com. We have
- 4:27Speaker 2: an update on Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly. They
- 4:31Speaker 2: are reportedly smitten with each other, according to sources. If
- 4:34Speaker 2: you missed it, they were seen this weekend both going
- 4:37Speaker 2: into Taylor Swift's apartment and Taylor Swift was not there. Apparently,
- 4:41Speaker 2: they've been quietly seeing each other for months after they
- 4:43Speaker 2: hit it off at.
- 4:44Speaker 4: Taylor Swift's wedding.
- 4:46Speaker 2: The source says they started off as friends, but now
- 4:49Speaker 2: they are spending more time together. Another source says that
- 4:51Speaker 2: they are trying to keep things between them super casual.
- 4:54Speaker 4: So good for them.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Yesterday was opening day to send letters to Santa.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I know.
- 5:01Speaker 6: I already sent mine in.
- 5:03Speaker 2: We're officially now 99 days away from Christmas, and USPS
- 5:07Speaker 2: has officially opened Operation Santa, where kids and families can
- 5:10Speaker 2: now send their letters to Santa. Your letters must be
- 5:13Speaker 2: postmarked by December 5th if you want to get them
- 5:16Speaker 2: to the jolly old Kris Kringle. And you can find
- 5:19Speaker 2: out more at the USPS website. And that is three
- 5:21Speaker 2: things you need to know. More at thealabamashow.com.
- 5:25Speaker 1: The Alabama Show. On demand. Free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 5:29Speaker 4: My therapist thinks I'm depressed.
- 5:32Speaker 6: Out of everything you've told her, that's what she thinks?
- 5:34Speaker 4: I guess. By the way, thanks for listening to The
- 5:37Speaker 4: Alabama Show. I'm Alabama with producer Blake. That's me. So
- 5:41Speaker 4: I started therapy a few weeks ago.
- 5:42Speaker 2: We've been talking about it. To learn how to be,
- 5:45Speaker 2: for me, better in relationships.
- 5:47Speaker 4: Because I'm awful. I have meltdowns. I have a lot
- 5:52Speaker 4: of childhood trauma to deal with. And so we've been
- 5:54Speaker 4: working through that.
- 5:55Speaker 6: Yes.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Well, after every session, she gives me homework to do.
- 6:00Speaker 2: And she's like, I'm going to pick custom videos. I
- 6:03Speaker 2: have to watch these cartoon videos.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Do you do that with your therapist?
- 6:06Speaker 6: No, she gives me videos sometimes, but it's not like.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Modern cartoons, every time I have to watch a cartoon.
- 6:13Speaker 2: And the first week it was one about anxiety. And
- 6:16Speaker 2: then the next week it was about, I don't remember.
- 6:18Speaker 2: But the one I had to watch this week was
- 6:21Speaker 2: about depression.
- 6:23Speaker 6: Well, maybe it's just on how to deal with it.
- 6:26Speaker 6: Maybe it's not that you have it.
- 6:27Speaker 2: No, it was literally talking about because the guy in
- 6:31Speaker 2: the video said, I don't think I'm depressed. And then
- 6:34Speaker 2: she goes, well, here are the symptoms. And then he goes, oh,
- 6:37Speaker 2: maybe I am.
- 6:38Speaker 4: And some of those symptoms I have. And I was like, what?
- 6:42Speaker 4: I thought I've been fine this whole time.
- 6:46Speaker 6: That's that's loaded. I don't know. That's loaded.
- 6:51Speaker 3: What?
- 6:52Speaker 6: That's so loaded.
- 6:53Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 6:54Speaker 4: I guess because and then I have to fill out.
- 6:55Speaker 2: A questionnaire every week before our session to see. And
- 6:59Speaker 2: this is my therapy. So if I'm HIPAA and myself,
- 7:02Speaker 2: I don't care. And I think therapy is great. Everybody
- 7:05Speaker 2: should do it.
- 7:06Speaker 4: I agree.
- 7:06Speaker 2: I have to fill out this questionnaire and one is
- 7:08Speaker 2: for anxiety and the other one's for depression. And the
- 7:11Speaker 2: questions for depression is like little or no drive to
- 7:14Speaker 2: do things you love. And so I feel that I've
- 7:17Speaker 2: been trying to fill it out honestly. And I'm like, yeah,
- 7:19Speaker 2: I didn't have any drive to do anything I love
- 7:21Speaker 2: last week.
- 7:22Speaker 4: But it's not because I'm depressed. It's because we're busy
- 7:24Speaker 4: at work and we got so much other stuff going on.
- 7:27Speaker 6: That is also true.
- 7:29Speaker 2: I'm tired. I wake up at four in the morning
- 7:31Speaker 2: every day. There's like no sleep. No, I haven't gotten
- 7:33Speaker 2: any sleep because we wake up at four in the
- 7:35Speaker 2: morning and.
- 7:36Speaker 5: My therapist gives me options of stuff that she's like,
- 7:41Speaker 5: you know, there's this that it could be. And we
- 7:45Speaker 5: try to work through each problem more than it is
- 7:47Speaker 5: a diagnosis problem.
- 7:49Speaker 4: I think I got to ask her today, like, hey,
- 7:51Speaker 4: am I depressed?
- 7:52Speaker 5: Yeah, ask if it's a diagnosis or if she's giving
- 7:54Speaker 5: you options of things that possibly could be.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Well, no, another girl, another girl that works with us,
- 8:00Speaker 2: she does TikTok videos about depression.
- 8:01Speaker 4: And she said, I didn't know what it was until
- 8:03Speaker 4: I was diagnosed. What if I get the diagnosis today?
- 8:06Speaker 4: Call the show. 833-501-BAMA is the number because I'm confused. Yeah,
- 8:12Speaker 4: it's going to be confusing.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Yes.
- 8:13Speaker 2: If anybody is in therapy and if you've ever been diagnosed,
- 8:17Speaker 2: if you if you want to talk about it publicly
- 8:20Speaker 2: with depression, tell me what it is and do I
- 8:23Speaker 2: have it?
- 8:25Speaker 4: 833-501-BEMA is the number. I think my peacocks make me happy. 833-501-2262.
- 8:31Speaker 1: The Alabama Show on demand.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Yes!
- 8:36Speaker 1: Free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 8:38Speaker 2: 833-501-BEMA is the number to call the show. I started therapies,
- 8:42Speaker 2: and my therapist made me watch a video about depression,
- 8:45Speaker 2: so I wonder if she thinks I'm depressed, which I'm not.
- 8:47Speaker 2: I don't think I'm depressed, and that's so weird. Call
- 8:50Speaker 2: the show, 833-501-BAMA. Amber, you said you've had to watch
- 8:54Speaker 2: the videos that I watch on the therapy app.
- 8:57Speaker 5: I'm very familiar with those videos you're talking about.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Did you get the cartoon.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Videos, too?
- 9:03Speaker 4: Did you have to watch a depression one?
- 9:05Speaker 3: No.
- 9:06Speaker 7: I didn't get the depression one, surprisingly, because I have
- 9:09Speaker 7: been diagnosed with it in the past, so it wouldn't
- 9:11Speaker 7: have been a surprise for me.
- 9:12Speaker 4: I got anxiety and OCD.
- 9:16Speaker 7: And when I told my husband that my therapist thought
- 9:19Speaker 7: I have OCD, he looked.
- 9:20Speaker 4: At me like weird. I'm like, I know, right? He's like, no,
- 9:23Speaker 4: it's weird that you don't know you have OCD.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Apparently everyone in my life knows I have OCD except me.
- 9:30Speaker 4: Well, that's great.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Maybe I need to start asking everybody in my life
- 9:34Speaker 2: if I'm depressed.
- 9:35Speaker 4: That's so weird. It's so funny. Everyone's going to give
- 9:39Speaker 4: you their own diagnosis. That's great. Thank you for calling.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Thanks, bye.
- 9:44Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know with The Alabama Show.
- 9:48Speaker 2: There's railroad track repairs behind the Tuscaloosa County Jail. Right now,
- 9:52Speaker 2: there was a train derailment that happened late Monday night.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Alabama Southern Railroad said that the lead train engineer was
- 9:59Speaker 2: pulled the train into the rail yard When the train
- 10:02Speaker 2: got off the tracks And they don't know why that
- 10:04Speaker 2: happened There were no injuries though thankfully So they'll be
- 10:06Speaker 2: doing the repairs this week Starbucks Snoopy cups are already
- 10:11Speaker 2: reselling for hundreds of dollars online. Starbucks on Monday released
- 10:15Speaker 2: a 20 ounce Snoopy cold cup, which was, it kind
- 10:18Speaker 2: of looked like the barista cups that went viral last year.
- 10:21Speaker 4: It was a little glass Snoopy.
- 10:22Speaker 2: They were being sold for $ 40. People were lined up
- 10:26Speaker 2: at my Starbucks that morning around the store to get them.
- 10:29Speaker 2: They're already on eBay for $ 200, and people are very frustrated.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Last year when this happened with the Barista Cup, Starbucks
- 10:36Speaker 2: had to issue an apology, so we'll see if they
- 10:38Speaker 2: have to do that for these. All right, this one's
- 10:41Speaker 2: for you, Producer Blake. Remember when Sydney Sweeney released her
- 10:44Speaker 2: bath water soap with Dr.
- 10:45Speaker 4: Squatch? Boy, do I.
- 10:47Speaker 2: Megan Fox just dropped a limited edition Dr. Squatch soap
- 10:51Speaker 2: and deodorant called Feral Fox.
- 10:54Speaker 4: Okay, go on.
- 10:56Speaker 2: It has notes of fresh sea salt, wild juniper berry
- 10:59Speaker 2: and rugged leather. It's described as a scent so captivating
- 11:02Speaker 2: it turns your attraction into obsession and turns you into
- 11:05Speaker 2: a little feral fox.
- 11:06Speaker 4: The release is limited.
- 11:09Speaker 2: So if you want to buy the soap and deodorant bundle,
- 11:11Speaker 2: there'll be some online at Target and DrSquatch.com. But you
- 11:16Speaker 2: also have to enter a drawing at DrSquatch.com.
- 11:21Speaker 4: By tomorrow morning for the chance to buy it.
- 11:23Speaker 6: Well, it looks like I gotta get online now.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Why are they only picking hot girls to make soap?
- 11:29Speaker 6: You know why they're picking hot girls to sell soap.
- 11:33Speaker 4: That's three things you need to know. More at thealabamashow.com.
- 11:38Speaker 1: The Alabama Show on demand.
- 11:40Speaker 4: Amazing.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 11:43Speaker 4: 833-501-BAMA is the number to call the show. Renee, good morning.
- 11:47Speaker 4: What are you doing right now?
- 11:49Speaker 3: I am going to another doctor's appointment, but I have
- 11:53Speaker 3: a wonderful praise.
- 11:56Speaker 4: Okay. What's your good news?
- 11:57Speaker 3: Well, I have MS and I just had another MRI
- 12:02Speaker 3: and I have no new lesions and my medicine is
- 12:06Speaker 3: working great.
- 12:11Speaker 4: What do you think has been helping out?
- 12:13Speaker 2: Do you think, I mean, I'll tell you because you
- 12:16Speaker 2: sound so positive. I feel like if you have a
- 12:19Speaker 2: good attitude when you're dealing with health issues, that really helps.
- 12:23Speaker 4: You have to.
- 12:24Speaker 3: You have to have a good outlook. And I mean,
- 12:28Speaker 3: I give all the praise to God, but the doctor
- 12:32Speaker 3: I have is amazing and she works with me. So
- 12:36Speaker 3: it's just been you just got to have a positive attitude.
- 12:39Speaker 2: If you could give anybody advice who's dealing with some
- 12:42Speaker 2: medical problems today, what would it be?
- 12:44Speaker 3: Have faith in God that he will provide.
- 12:46Speaker 4: I love you, Renee.
- 12:47Speaker 2: That's great.
- 12:48Speaker 6: I love you, too.
- 12:49Speaker 4: That's awesome.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Well, thank you.
- 12:51Speaker 1: The Alabama Show on demand, free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 12:55Speaker 2: If you've ever had a crush on producer Blake and thought, man,
- 12:59Speaker 2: I think I would like to date him.
- 13:02Speaker 4: We're about to prove you wrong.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:04Speaker 6: OK, sure.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Thanks for listening to The Alabama Show. I'm Alabama with
- 13:08Speaker 2: producer Blake. Tell me about the date.
- 13:11Speaker 4: That you planned this weekend well it was.
- 13:14Speaker 5: A friend asked if i wanted to go to a
- 13:16Speaker 5: baseball game because it's one of those like fun ones
- 13:19Speaker 5: like the guy or girl it's a guy friend that
- 13:22Speaker 5: said hey there's a like a savannah banana type game
- 13:26Speaker 5: you know the fun version of baseball okay i said
- 13:29Speaker 5: all right how many tickets you got he said i
- 13:31Speaker 5: got a few why i said i'll buy two of
- 13:34Speaker 5: them he said all right So I bought two tickets
- 13:37Speaker 5: and I'm taking a date.
- 13:38Speaker 6: I'm taking a.
- 13:39Speaker 4: Date with me and that guy.
- 13:41Speaker 2: You're taking a girl to a baseball game with you
- 13:44Speaker 2: and another guy.
- 13:45Speaker 6: Yes, correct.
- 13:46Speaker 2: So somebody in this scenario is going to be the
- 13:49Speaker 2: third wheel. Uh-huh.
- 13:51Speaker 5: And I don't know who it is yet, but I'm
- 13:52Speaker 5: having a feeling it's going to be him.
- 13:54Speaker 4: I hope it's you. I hope she ends up talking
- 13:57Speaker 4: to the guy.
- 13:58Speaker 6: I doubt it. I don't think at all.
- 14:00Speaker 4: Does she know?
- 14:01Speaker 2: Does she know that she's going with you and another guy?
- 14:04Speaker 4: Or does she think it's just you and her?
- 14:05Speaker 6: I think she thinks it's just me and her.
- 14:08Speaker 2: That means she definitely, because you never said a word
- 14:11Speaker 2: about the other guy.
- 14:12Speaker 6: I don't think so. I don't think I brought that up.
- 14:13Speaker 4: That means no. He says, I don't think so. That
- 14:15Speaker 4: means absolutely no.
- 14:17Speaker 6: I don't think I did bring it up. No, I don't.
- 14:19Speaker 1: What?
- 14:20Speaker 4: Why did you not tell her? Did you tell the
- 14:22Speaker 4: other guy you're bringing a girl? Well, yeah, he knows
- 14:24Speaker 4: you got two tickets.
- 14:25Speaker 6: Yeah, I got two tickets.
- 14:26Speaker 5: He would figure I've got somebody coming with me.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Are you picking her up and like taking her out
- 14:31Speaker 2: to eat before y'all go?
- 14:32Speaker 4: Like, is this like a, does she think it's like
- 14:34Speaker 4: a date date?
- 14:36Speaker 6: We're going to eat there. It's a baseball game.
- 14:38Speaker 5: If you've been to a baseball game, you know, you
- 14:41Speaker 5: eat there, you eat the hot dogs, you get a
- 14:43Speaker 5: drink there, you hang out.
- 14:45Speaker 4: What was it that we talked about on the show
- 14:47Speaker 4: about a month ago?
- 14:48Speaker 2: Is this the same girl that came over and that
- 14:51Speaker 2: got mad because you were playing Fortnite? It is.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Yes, it is.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Yes, it is.
- 14:58Speaker 4: This time, yes.
- 15:01Speaker 5: Yes.
- 15:04Speaker 4: I can't wait. When is the baseball game this weekend?
- 15:07Speaker 4: I want to call her so bad.
- 15:09Speaker 6: We can't. We're not going to.
- 15:10Speaker 2: You need to call her and tell her that it's
- 15:13Speaker 2: not really a date.

- 15:20Speaker 2: I show up and there's one of your buddies there
- 15:22Speaker 2: and it's like a three-way thing. That's the stupidest thing you.
