- 0:20Speaker 1: Right, yeah, yeah, this podcast Area network. Please tell a
- 0:24Speaker 1: friend and subscribe.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Check it out.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Catch up on all of them either on YouTube or
- 0:30Speaker 1: Clay can listen also on the iHeartRadio app.
- 0:34Speaker 2: That's right, that's right. We are happy to be here, Wilmer.
- 0:37Speaker 2: The summer is coming.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:39Speaker 2: I remember last summer. I believe you were in Bora Bora, right,
- 0:44Speaker 2: I did.
- 0:45Speaker 1: That was like the dream trip of a lifetime. I
- 0:48Speaker 1: remember you came back and you were like sons, I
- 0:52Speaker 1: really really looked ethnic. It enhanced and it hands my
- 0:59Speaker 1: inner brown.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Why did you choose Bora Bora.
- 1:06Speaker 1: My lady is a mermaid and my daughter is an
- 1:08Speaker 1: inspiring little mermaid. So they just love the beach and
- 1:12Speaker 1: love the ocean, and the water is so great over there.
- 1:14Speaker 1: It's so warm and so nice whatever, and it's not
- 1:17Speaker 1: very hard to get to. People look at feel like
- 1:20Speaker 1: Bora Bora. Is this like crazy destination? But honestly, this
- 1:25Speaker 1: is a direct flight. Yeah, how many hours? I think
- 1:27Speaker 1: it's a nine hour flight. That's what it sounds, sounds familiar.
- 1:30Speaker 1: It's just beautiful, like you're you know, you you have
- 1:34Speaker 1: all kinds of ways of like all kinds of hotels
- 1:37Speaker 1: that you can stay in, so it's not like too
- 1:39Speaker 1: pricey either, you know, it's it's pretty great. So my
- 1:44Speaker 1: daughter absolutely loved it, and that was one I think
- 1:46Speaker 1: one of the first vacations that was so impression upon
- 1:50Speaker 1: her that she just keeps asking like that is by
- 1:53Speaker 1: the way, I don't want her to say that in
- 1:54Speaker 1: probably because it sounds so crazy. Anybody who has been
- 1:56Speaker 1: to Borrobora knows that it's not that crazy. It's like
- 1:59Speaker 1: very simple, very easy to go there, but also sounds
- 2:02Speaker 1: really really shorty is which is like also like a thing.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't want I don't want to.
- 2:07Speaker 2: We went to a very cool World World trip.
- 2:09Speaker 1: But but yeah, she she because she loved the beaches.
- 2:13Speaker 1: She loved the beach. You know, she loves snor clean
- 2:16Speaker 1: and she just really really enjoyed it.
- 2:18Speaker 2: But do you like that stuff? You like snorkeling and
- 2:21Speaker 2: all that, I do.
- 2:22Speaker 1: I do like it, but you know it takes me
- 2:24Speaker 1: a second and warming into like, Okay, every day I'm
- 2:26Speaker 1: gonna work shorts and just be at the beach. You know,
- 2:28Speaker 1: it's really hard for me to disconnect from the office too.
- 2:31Speaker 1: But my office does a really good job of just
- 2:33Speaker 1: not returning my phone calls and not replying back to
- 2:35Speaker 1: my emails. And that's when I try, oh yeah, oh yeah,
- 2:40Speaker 1: like oh yeah, what's up? No reply, So my entirees
- 2:43Speaker 1: like forces me to like really shut off and then
- 2:47Speaker 1: so that in that aspect I enjoyed. But but I
- 2:49Speaker 1: guess the big question is for you is do you
- 2:54Speaker 1: vacation heart or do you vacation soft like in In
- 2:59Speaker 1: other words, that's a good question. You Are you tired
- 3:02Speaker 1: from your vacation when you come home or are you
- 3:04Speaker 1: like relaxed and recharged.
- 3:06Speaker 2: I'm usually pretty tired. And I think also because like
- 3:10Speaker 2: how are you a jet lag? Now? I used to
- 3:12Speaker 2: be pretty good with it. I'm not great at it anymore.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Yeah, cam Bag's back that quick.
- 3:17Speaker 2: No, No, I I was just in London like two
- 3:20Speaker 2: weeks ago, and and man, it took me just three
- 3:23Speaker 2: four days just to adjust at the time, right, so
- 3:26Speaker 2: I feel like I'm I'm walking around in a fog
- 3:29Speaker 2: the whole time. I'm sitting down and have a lunch
- 3:31Speaker 2: of people, and I feel like I'm not fully present
- 3:33Speaker 2: because I'm still trying to So when.
- 3:35Speaker 1: You Latin in London, it's in middle of the afternoon,
- 3:38Speaker 1: you're tired.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Yeah, like your brain, I mean, what is it like
- 3:42Speaker 2: an eight hour time.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Difference or so it's like one in the morning for you.
- 3:45Speaker 2: It's crazy. It's crazy, man, And so like it just
- 3:48Speaker 2: it just took me like four or five days, like
- 3:50Speaker 2: and then finally by the fifth day, I'm like, okay,
- 3:52Speaker 2: my brain is adjusting. And then like a day or
- 3:54Speaker 2: two later it's time to get back. And then you
- 3:58Speaker 2: come back and you got to do the thing thing
- 3:59Speaker 2: over again.
- 4:00Speaker 1: It's about two week things to actually like But I never.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Used to be like that. I used to be able
- 4:04Speaker 2: to just you know what I do.
- 4:07Speaker 1: When it comes to stuff like that, I go, Okay,
- 4:09Speaker 1: what time is it at home when I take off?
- 4:12Speaker 1: So like, even if I take off at like eight
- 4:15Speaker 1: pm and I'm landing at like, I don't know what
- 4:19Speaker 1: the time difference will be. But for example, if I'm
- 4:23Speaker 1: landing by nine am, I'll be up for the first
- 4:29Speaker 1: four hours and then sleep for the last six. So
- 4:32Speaker 1: then when I land it feels like I'm starting my day. Yeah, right, yeah,
- 4:37Speaker 1: But if I'm landing at like seven pm or something
- 4:42Speaker 1: like that, then I'll just try to really be up,
- 4:45Speaker 1: you know. In other words, I'll sleep for the first
- 4:49Speaker 1: two hours and then I'll be up for the last
- 4:52Speaker 1: six you know.
- 4:53Speaker 2: So then I'm like, you'd plan sleep.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I try. Yeah, I try to definitely cure them. But
- 4:58Speaker 1: I've also done flights where I'm I watched four movies
- 5:01Speaker 1: in a road and I'm like, oh my god, my
- 5:02Speaker 1: eyes are burning.
- 5:03Speaker 2: You know, are you are you? Can you naturally fall
- 5:06Speaker 2: asleep or do you need like a sleepy Yeah?
- 5:08Speaker 1: I can actually fall asleep. I'm not really pretty exhausted
- 5:10Speaker 1: after those trips. But I'm also I also to catch
- 5:13Speaker 1: your heart because my lady loves to really schedule the stuff.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Oh really. She likes going on a tour.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Yeah, up six am because we're going on a hike, wow,
- 5:23Speaker 1: or you know, or like a nine am we're going
- 5:26Speaker 1: in a little little boat cruise or do you not
- 5:28Speaker 1: like the structure?
- 5:29Speaker 2: Do you not like the structure of it?
- 5:33Speaker 1: I think the structure is phenomenal. On day three, oh
- 5:38Speaker 1: you like the first two days? First two days, you know,
- 5:41Speaker 1: we're talking about the Jed lag right, like, you know,
- 5:43Speaker 1: you want to come, you want to come through the vacation.
- 5:45Speaker 1: You want to unpack, you want to have no plans
- 5:48Speaker 1: that day, maybe stay off the window, maybe go for
- 5:52Speaker 1: a little beach walk or whatever, you know, or if
- 5:55Speaker 1: you're in the mountain, just like just stare at the snow,
- 5:58Speaker 1: whatever you know. And the second day like the brunch, yeah, stroll,
- 6:05Speaker 1: let's go pet the horses. But whatever, you know. On
- 6:08Speaker 1: day three, okay, great atv right, like you know, the
- 6:12Speaker 1: therefore al right, like boat ride, you know, fishing, you know.
- 6:18Speaker 1: But I think my lady is better described as a
- 6:24Speaker 1: Navy seal of vacation. She is deployed on an exotic
- 6:31Speaker 1: mountain destination, and she's there on a mission to cover
- 6:34Speaker 1: as much ground and perimeter as possible, making sure that
- 6:39Speaker 1: mission is accomplished, and that when she leaves the vacation
- 6:41Speaker 1: there's not one thing she felt she should have could
- 6:44Speaker 1: have wished she had done.
- 6:46Speaker 2: What's been your favorite family vacation that you've done?
- 6:51Speaker 1: My favorite family vacation. Let's see, I went on a
- 6:57Speaker 1: I went to Hawaii where to uh Kuana.
- 7:03Speaker 2: I've never been.
- 7:04Speaker 1: It's crazy and uh you, Hawaii is a whole you've
- 7:10Speaker 1: never been. Never, dude, that is the easiest trip you
- 7:13Speaker 1: ever made. It's like going to New York. It's like
- 7:16Speaker 1: six five hours, six hours, pretty amazing, and and the
- 7:20Speaker 1: time difference is not crazy. You gain what is it
- 7:23Speaker 1: you you lose three hours over there? You know, going
- 7:28Speaker 1: over there, I think you lose three hours, right, yeah,
- 7:32Speaker 1: because when you come back you yeah, yeah, so and
- 7:36Speaker 1: it's amazing, bro, It's really fun. It's like just and
- 7:39Speaker 1: you can have any type of vacation over there. You
- 7:41Speaker 1: can have Kawai, which is like a tiny little hot
- 7:43Speaker 1: on the beach and just do nothing. You can go
- 7:45Speaker 1: to Maui. You can do a little blend of both,
- 7:47Speaker 1: and then you can you can go to Oahu and
- 7:49Speaker 1: it's just like resort central.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Right, it's like a big, big city.
- 7:52Speaker 1: You know, what do you what do you like? I
- 7:55Speaker 1: like Maui a lot. Yeah, and I'm becoming more Kawai
- 8:00Speaker 1: now just the quiet remote but you should definitely try.
- 8:07Speaker 2: It's pretty great.
- 8:08Speaker 1: But I think this so that the reason why I
- 8:09Speaker 1: say this because I was able to bring my mom
- 8:11Speaker 1: and fall inla. My mom never want to get on
- 8:14Speaker 1: a flight, but we forced it again this flight, and
- 8:18Speaker 1: you know, we it. Just to see my mom at
- 8:20Speaker 1: this you know, at this beach you know, in Hawaii
- 8:24Speaker 1: was just wonderful, Like seeing her like walk through the
- 8:27Speaker 1: beach and that's THATFF was pretty cool because you knows,
- 8:30Speaker 1: you know, they they stay at home. You know, it's
- 8:33Speaker 1: the type of things really hard to get on. So
- 8:35Speaker 1: that was cool. But honestly, just to see your kids
- 8:49Speaker 1: grow up in these vacation opportunities, it's kind of interesting
- 8:53Speaker 1: too because they they're seeing that for the first time.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I mean, if you've been in that place before, and
- 8:57Speaker 1: we didn't get to do that, right, we didn't.
- 9:00Speaker 2: I had to get to travel.
- 9:00Speaker 1: We had vacasion was like we went an hour over
- 9:03Speaker 1: about a bear of new shoes and then came back.
- 9:06Speaker 2: You know. The only time we ever had a semblance
- 9:09Speaker 2: of vacation when I was growing up was like when
- 9:11Speaker 2: a family member died. I kid you not, man. I
- 9:17Speaker 2: remember my mom was like, we're going to Puerto Rico.
- 9:19Speaker 2: My brother died. I was like ten years old. It
- 9:22Speaker 2: was my first time there. I went therewn in the
- 9:24Speaker 2: funeral and my uncle had died and they kept his
- 9:29Speaker 2: body in the living room, which is tradition. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 9:32Speaker 2: I open caskar right, yeah, in the living room for
- 9:34Speaker 2: like three years ten.
- 9:37Speaker 1: That was always the first time, seeing that it was
- 9:39Speaker 1: my first time in Puerto Rico.
- 9:41Speaker 2: It was my first time like meeting family members that
- 9:44Speaker 2: I had never met, and it was the first time
- 9:47Speaker 2: I had ever been like in a house with like
- 9:50Speaker 2: a dead body and I couldn't sleep. Man. I was
- 9:54Speaker 2: just there like the whole time, like, oh my god,
- 9:56Speaker 2: there's a dead body in the in the living room.
- 9:58Speaker 2: I was like in the fourth grade. Man. I was
- 10:00Speaker 2: completely really tripped. And every day someone would come and
- 10:03Speaker 2: see the body and pay their respect. Okay, okay, it's
- 10:06Speaker 2: just all part of the tradition.
- 10:07Speaker 1: How many days did they do?
- 10:09Speaker 2: Three? Okay? Yeah. But but I never we never went
- 10:12Speaker 2: on like vacation. I never had that as a kid.
- 10:15Speaker 2: You know. My my pop was all about work. And
- 10:19Speaker 2: even when he had vacation, his form of vacation was,
- 10:23Speaker 2: like I think we might have discussed this before. His
- 10:26Speaker 2: form of vacation was like, your uncle needs his living
- 10:29Speaker 2: room painted. I'm gonna go help them paint his living story.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Yeah man, yeah, yeah, you know, your your aunt needs
- 10:38Speaker 2: something moved. You're you know, it's like that. There was
- 10:41Speaker 2: no vacation. It wasn't until I got older with my kids.
- 10:44Speaker 2: So my kids were the first sort of vacation generation.
- 10:47Speaker 2: You know.
- 10:48Speaker 1: My my father in law was that way until he
- 10:50Speaker 1: got retired, retired like going on a cruise, going on
- 10:53Speaker 1: just like to visit random.
- 10:55Speaker 2: You know, he's going he's going on cruises. Now.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Yeah, he just came back from one. Oh nice, Yeah
- 10:59Speaker 1: he went. Oh he stopped by Puerto Rico. I think
- 11:03Speaker 1: he might have gotten Bahamas to like.
- 11:05Speaker 2: A caribbeeah yeah, yeah, yeah, pretty good. He really liked
- 11:08Speaker 2: to have a lot of fun. Are you a cruise guy?
- 11:11Speaker 1: If you've been on a cruise? You asked that question?
- 11:16Speaker 1: And my wife is going to look at this episode
- 11:18Speaker 1: and she's going to be like, I told you cruises
- 11:21Speaker 1: are great.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Oh, she wants to do the cruise.
- 11:26Speaker 1: I don't. I don't know, you know, I don't know.
- 11:28Speaker 1: I'm a little hesitating about the cruise.
- 11:30Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 11:31Speaker 1: There's a cruise being quarantine right now.
- 11:35Speaker 2: I don't know. I just for that documentary poop Cruise.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Watch that thing and you're like, do you want to
- 11:40Speaker 1: be that guy?
- 11:41Speaker 2: You know you want to be that guy? Yeah? Yeah, right,
- 11:44Speaker 2: And here's the thing, I feel like you're rolling the
- 11:46Speaker 2: dice and that might be you.
- 11:47Speaker 1: I would tell you yes or no, but I will
- 11:51Speaker 1: tell you that I would acknowledge that the chances of
- 11:57Speaker 1: something like that that we just discribed this this guts
- 12:00Speaker 1: to happen, are very, very slam. There's like tons of
- 12:04Speaker 1: cruises around the world, and they're always a success story
- 12:06Speaker 1: in a beautiful family tradition for so many people. You know,
- 12:10Speaker 1: I I just haven't. I don't know. It's just like
- 12:14Speaker 1: for me, you get in the ship and like, yeah,
- 12:18Speaker 1: I don't know, and you're there, and of course the
- 12:20Speaker 1: ships are like obviously larger than life, and they have
- 12:23Speaker 1: like a nightclub, a bar, restaurant. The days I'm like
- 12:26Speaker 1: the pool and the you know the the you know whatever.
- 12:30Speaker 1: But and then you and then you then you dock
- 12:33Speaker 1: right you doc you get out for like six hours
- 12:36Speaker 1: and you you buy a bunch of memorabilia made in
- 12:39Speaker 1: Mexico no matter where the world may buy.
- 12:42Speaker 2: I'm really you're.
- 12:42Speaker 1: From but I don't know. I mean, I don't know.
- 12:46Speaker 1: But what about you? You've been to a cruise?
- 12:47Speaker 2: No? Never are you so excited? I like boats. Elsie,
- 12:53Speaker 2: We're not going a cruise. She's like you. She's like,
- 12:57Speaker 2: just my luck.
- 12:58Speaker 3: Just my luck, that's what the Yeah, yeah, the boat
- 13:02Speaker 3: tip over and there'll be sharks in the water and
- 13:04Speaker 3: they'll be She's just not she's not she's not a
- 13:08Speaker 3: boat person.
- 13:09Speaker 2: She's not a person. I you know, I love a boat. Yeah, yeah, yea, yeah,
- 13:14Speaker 2: I would do. I would do like you know, like
- 13:17Speaker 2: like Rich Carlton has like a real nice one now
- 13:19Speaker 2: like when the kids were little, we always wanted to
- 13:22Speaker 2: do like the Disney cruise with him, but she just
- 13:24Speaker 2: wasn't feeling it. Man.
- 13:27Speaker 1: You know, Spirit Airlines is launching a cruise line, is.
- 13:34Speaker 2: It? Is it the same sort of huh? Theatrics?
- 13:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I think Peter is DJ and I love Pety
- 13:46Speaker 1: Powder shut.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Out to be. I got a good boat story. I
- 14:04Speaker 2: mean I always forget his name because I always get
- 14:06Speaker 2: it mixed up. I was in I was in Venice,
- 14:09Speaker 2: and I had I had a movie at the film festival,
- 14:12Speaker 2: and and uh, after a couple of shows. After that
- 14:16Speaker 2: showing or a couple of showings, people would have parties afterwards,
- 14:19Speaker 2: and we and we got invited to Leo helped me
- 14:23Speaker 2: with this one man machino Mosimo.
- 14:28Speaker 1: God like like you're talking about the designer.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Yes, it's uh starts with an M. Yeah, he has sweaters.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Smithsonisni okay, you know I knew someone the daughter who's okay,
- 14:44Speaker 2: go ahead, we gotta have this trip. Go ahead. So
- 14:47Speaker 2: I have a good boat story. I had a film
- 14:49Speaker 2: at the Venice Film Festival and and usually your movie plays,
- 14:54Speaker 2: you know, the big night, or you know, you're doing
- 14:57Speaker 2: all kinds of other press and at night there would
- 14:59Speaker 2: always be a party somewhere and Messino is it Massoni?
- 15:07Speaker 2: And so we went on a boat party hosted by Massoni,
- 15:12Speaker 2: the designer, and he was lovely, lovely, lovely. He had
- 15:17Speaker 2: just remodeled this boat that was like three hundred years
- 15:20Speaker 2: old and just redid all the wood and did everything. Yeah,
- 15:23Speaker 2: it was really impressive. And I just remember it was
- 15:27Speaker 2: a bunch of people on his boat and like tuxedos
- 15:30Speaker 2: and suits and gowns, and he had a rule where
- 15:32Speaker 2: you have to take your shoes off. Yeah, so it
- 15:34Speaker 2: was just like a big pile of shoes in the
- 15:36Speaker 2: corner and everybody there barefoot on his boat. But everyone
- 15:39Speaker 2: was grateful that he held this party, and he was
- 15:42Speaker 2: lovely him, his daughter's, his wife, and I got to
- 15:46Speaker 2: meet his whole family, and they were just like classic Italian,
- 15:49Speaker 2: really really nice people, you know. And I remember walking
- 15:52Speaker 2: away from that party and going home and just thinking like, Wow,
- 15:55Speaker 2: I had such a wonderful time and I got to
- 15:58Speaker 2: meet his beautiful family. Away. Like two months later, I
- 16:02Speaker 2: saw that he was on the news and he had
- 16:04Speaker 2: passed away, like in a helicopter crash or like a
- 16:08Speaker 2: plane crash or something. And that was the last time
- 16:12Speaker 2: I was on a boat. Was was was with him
- 16:14Speaker 2: and his family. Wow, that's in sense.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Yeah, But also like I mean, I know that that designer,
- 16:20Speaker 1: I know that Bran. I think I met one of
- 16:23Speaker 1: his daughters. Yeah, I think she was. She was out
- 16:25Speaker 1: here doing some fashion stuff as well.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Yeah. I wonder if she took over after Yeah, I
- 16:31Speaker 2: think maybe her sister might have passed away, and then
- 16:33Speaker 2: I think she had a couple of sisters, if I'm
- 16:35Speaker 2: not mistaken. But yeah, that was the last time I
- 16:37Speaker 2: was on a boat. Not to bring the mood down
- 16:40Speaker 2: as we talk about Disney, I'm glad you brought it up.
- 16:42Speaker 1: I'm glad you brought it up. I think we should
- 16:45Speaker 1: just kind of hold a moment of silence. Thank you.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Moving on, to to a vacation on a boat. Are
- 16:55Speaker 1: you down or you're not down? Are you dere? You're
- 16:58Speaker 1: not d.
- 17:00Speaker 2: I do it, I do it. It would take a
- 17:02Speaker 2: lot of convincing.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Will you do the Disney one? I would because I
- 17:06Speaker 1: know how much you love Disney. I would, man, I
- 17:10Speaker 1: would they have an Avengers one?
- 17:12Speaker 2: Oh?
- 17:12Speaker 1: Do they really? Yeah? It's like a superhero theme. And
- 17:15Speaker 1: would you do it? I do it because I love
- 17:18Speaker 1: Robert Downey Jr.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, I just think Disney does it right, Man,
- 17:22Speaker 2: I like I like Disney.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I know the experience is like magical and phenomenon.
- 17:29Speaker 1: A friend, two friends of ours, you know, went on
- 17:33Speaker 1: on a Disney cruise and they said, they said, dude,
- 17:36Speaker 1: it was the most unforgettable experience of our lives.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Really, why is that?
- 17:41Speaker 1: They said that it was so submersive and that for
- 17:44Speaker 1: the kids it was really it was just like going
- 17:46Speaker 1: to Disneyland, where like everything is very committed, the performances
- 17:50Speaker 1: to cast members that just really are part of the brand, right,
- 17:54Speaker 1: Like it's just like the DNA is just in tag.
- 17:56Speaker 1: It's really beautiful, the shows.
- 17:58Speaker 2: I would probably love that.
- 18:00Speaker 1: She will absolutely love it. She would absolutely love it.
- 18:01Speaker 1: And I may do it, you know, I may do it,
- 18:04Speaker 1: but it's it's just I don't know. I still sketch
- 18:07Speaker 1: out about it. Yeah, but if the boat goes down
- 18:11Speaker 1: and I'm you know, I'm with Mickey, I guess how
- 18:13Speaker 1: bad can it be?
- 18:13Speaker 2: Has there? I guess the way to look at it
- 18:16Speaker 2: is like you would look at their track record, right,
- 18:19Speaker 2: and to see if any they've ever had any problems
- 18:21Speaker 2: with any other boats before.
- 18:23Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, I mean I mean chinically with
- 18:25Speaker 1: this great but by the way, their boats are like
- 18:27Speaker 1: barad New a state of the art, Like they're just
- 18:29Speaker 1: like the next level of cruise ships that I just like, bigger, better,
- 18:36Speaker 1: more experience, I guess. So I think I think, like
- 18:38Speaker 1: obviously they're way safe, right.
- 18:41Speaker 2: And that's kind of my theory on it, right, Like
- 18:43Speaker 2: if you go on the Jet Blue of cruises, I
- 18:46Speaker 2: would assume that you would have a Jet Blue of
- 18:50Speaker 2: cruises experience, right or not Jet Blue or like a
- 18:52Speaker 2: Spirit Airlines of Yeah.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Also like moment of silence for Spirit Airlines. I know
- 18:59Speaker 1: that I am both their name. I did hear that
- 19:05Speaker 1: Elon Musk was thinking of buying Spirit Airlines, So you
- 19:08Speaker 1: guys hear that he wanted to. He wanted to completely
- 19:11Speaker 1: reinvent the flying experience. He said, but you know what's
- 19:16Speaker 1: gonna end up being like the plane's gonna fly itself,
- 19:19Speaker 1: right right, it'll be electric, No thanks, it'll it'll just
- 19:24Speaker 1: charge in the sky when it's closer to the sun.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Yeah. That you can.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Your screen can turn into a into a fireplace, right. Yeah,
- 19:36Speaker 1: you can turn.
- 19:37Speaker 2: On the machine.
- 19:38Speaker 1: You're gonna have fart sounds in the first glass cabin, yeah,
- 19:42Speaker 1: you can. You can designate it far to to three
- 19:45Speaker 1: B right right.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Yeah. I heard you say earlier about about Amanda scheduling
- 19:54Speaker 2: a trip. Precisely. I had a trip like that. We
- 19:58Speaker 2: went to Puerto Rico, and it was the first time
- 20:00Speaker 2: I got to take my kids there, and we we
- 20:03Speaker 2: kind of scheduled it, but I got to say I
- 20:05Speaker 2: had such a blast scheduling it. Man. We did like
- 20:07Speaker 2: a tour of like a lunk the rainforest, and we
- 20:11Speaker 2: had a guided hike amazing where he sort of explained
- 20:14Speaker 2: everything on that guided hike. And we had like guided
- 20:17Speaker 2: like tours. And I'm kind of cheesy like that, man,
- 20:20Speaker 2: I'm not like the guided stuff.
- 20:22Speaker 1: I like I'm in too. I mean, when I go
- 20:24Speaker 1: to New Orleans and I've done it a million times.
- 20:26Speaker 1: I would always do a ghost tour. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 20:29Speaker 1: I love this stuff, ghost tour. I shot a movie
- 20:33Speaker 1: for the ghost tour. Yeah, you're in the ghost Oh
- 20:37Speaker 1: I'm really into ghosts paranormal stuff. Yeah, I think they're hot.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Sorry sexy ghost.
- 20:44Speaker 1: But I'll go back to your saying you like your
- 20:46Speaker 1: guided tour.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I love a guy. That's like the first
- 20:50Speaker 2: thing I like to do when I go into a
- 20:51Speaker 2: new city, I just cheese out do a guided tour
- 20:55Speaker 2: and I get a sense of like the city.
- 20:56Speaker 1: It's it's actually really important. Otherwise you really don't see.
- 21:01Speaker 2: I think.
- 21:02Speaker 1: So, you know I used to when I was traveling
- 21:04Speaker 1: so much for work. I had to trouble by myself
- 21:08Speaker 1: because you know, at the beginning, they didn't give you
- 21:10Speaker 1: a plus one. You know, you didn't have it like that.
- 21:12Speaker 2: So what's what's been your what's been your favorite city
- 21:16Speaker 2: to travel to like for work? Like, where have you
- 21:18Speaker 2: shot and you've been Okay, what's been a city that
- 21:21Speaker 2: you shot that's like surprised you that you've gotten there
- 21:25Speaker 2: and you're like, oh, this is pretty good. I didn't
- 21:27Speaker 2: expect this here, New Orleans.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Yeah, and not because of anything except for the fact
- 21:32Speaker 1: that I didn't expect to like it that much, because
- 21:35Speaker 1: I knew I was going to enjoy it. I knew
- 21:37Speaker 1: that New Orleans is so beautiful and so fun, that
- 21:39Speaker 1: people are so hospital so I knew all of those things. Yeah,
- 21:42Speaker 1: but I felt I was so New Orleans.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Oh why is that?
- 21:46Speaker 1: I just felt the energy Like I would go to
- 21:48Speaker 1: a bar by myself and I would just talk to
- 21:51Speaker 1: the local that's been going to that bar for thirty
- 21:54Speaker 1: five years or forty years, and the stories, right, the history,
- 21:59Speaker 1: I just felt it was so me. I just liked
- 22:02Speaker 1: it so much, you know. And even going back to
- 22:05Speaker 1: the pirates, they have like the oldest bar in the
- 22:07Speaker 1: history of the United States, right, and it's like little
- 22:10Speaker 1: It's a pirate bar, yeah, and it's like something from
- 22:12Speaker 1: the seventeen hundreds or something crazy like. And so I
- 22:16Speaker 1: just I just loved I just loved the history and
- 22:21Speaker 1: all this, and I enjoyed in the food and the
- 22:24Speaker 1: music and the people and the architecture in the French
- 22:28Speaker 1: core and like just like the swamp tours, you know,
- 22:32Speaker 1: the ghost tours, you know, the hunted restaurants that they
- 22:37Speaker 1: make you sit at the hunted table. Little things like that.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I just felt like it was so mean. I just
- 22:42Speaker 1: loved it so much. Yeah, and I shot something there.
- 22:44Speaker 1: I directed something there.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Oh nice man, Yeah yeah yeah. I was surprised that
- 22:49Speaker 2: people could just drink on the street there, like I'd
- 22:52Speaker 2: never experienced that before.
- 22:53Speaker 1: The grenades. You ever had a grenade?
- 22:55Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah man, Yeah, I shot. I
- 22:59Speaker 2: was staying in right across the bridge. I think it's Covington,
- 23:06Speaker 2: which is right across, and you would just take the
- 23:08Speaker 2: bridge over and be in and you'd be in uh,
- 23:12Speaker 2: and you'd be in New Orleans. I shot him. I
- 23:14Speaker 2: shot in Savannah, Georgia. You ever shot there? No, I
- 23:18Speaker 2: was so surprised, so surprised. I wasn't sure what to expect,
- 23:21Speaker 2: you know, I didn't. I didn't think much. And then
- 23:22Speaker 2: when I got there, I was just shocked at how
- 23:25Speaker 2: absolutely beautiful it was. The architecture, the there was a
- 23:30Speaker 2: there was an energy there that I couldn't that was
- 23:33Speaker 2: very very familiar, but I couldn't place the moment I
- 23:35Speaker 2: got there and it was the Savannah College of Art
- 23:39Speaker 2: and Design is there. So there was this really heavy
- 23:44Speaker 2: artist energy that was there that I recognized because I
- 23:47Speaker 2: went to a school like that, but that sort of
- 23:49Speaker 2: permeated the whole city and affected everything. You know. So
- 23:52Speaker 2: so here was the sort of southern city but had
- 23:54Speaker 2: like poetry reading over here in an art gallery over
- 23:58Speaker 2: over there, and like yeah, yeah, it would have like
- 24:02Speaker 2: a certain area like like you said, you like the
- 24:04Speaker 2: kind of the pirate stuff. You know, it's a it's
- 24:05Speaker 2: a port city, so they'd have like brick streets that
- 24:10Speaker 2: were there. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, from like the seventeen
- 24:13Speaker 2: eighteen hundredge and like stuff like that, like tours where
- 24:16Speaker 2: they were now, show you where the pirates came in
- 24:18Speaker 2: and all that. That's crazy.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, really like Savannah, it's so so so fun.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Well that's great, man. Are you taking a vacation this summer?
- 24:25Speaker 1: Are you gonna do something?
- 24:27Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, we're gonna go. We're going first, we're going
- 24:30Speaker 2: to London to go see Bad Bunny perform. Oh yeah,
- 24:33Speaker 2: we haven't got and uh. And then we're gonna go
- 24:38Speaker 2: to Italy for.
- 24:39Speaker 1: The first And I thought, it's pretty good. You gotta
- 24:45Speaker 1: give me something low, it's pretty good.
- 24:47Speaker 2: It's pretty good.
- 24:48Speaker 1: So you go to Land for Bad Bunny.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we're gonna spend a couple of days there
- 24:54Speaker 2: and then we're going to uh Rome and then the Florence.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Oh my god, yeah, but wait, what weeks?
- 25:01Speaker 1: Are you going to be in Rome? In Florence right.
- 25:04Speaker 2: After the Bad Money concert, which is like, it's on
- 25:09Speaker 2: my son's birthday he performs June twenty six or twenty
- 25:13Speaker 2: seventh or something like that. But was my son. So
- 25:15Speaker 2: we're going there for my son's birthday to go to
- 25:17Speaker 2: the concert.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Because I may be in Italy. Yeah, end of end
- 25:21Speaker 1: of June, beginning of July.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Dude, we're going to be there.
- 25:25Speaker 1: I'll let you know. If I got just vacation, I
- 25:27Speaker 1: was gonna go to Kurtina.
- 25:28Speaker 2: What you want to do with the family.
- 25:30Speaker 1: I wanted to go back to the mountains.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Yeah, oh man, yeah, no, we're doing it.
- 25:35Speaker 1: My favorite, my favorite place now in the world to
- 25:37Speaker 1: visit is Courtina, the Appenzil. It's just northern Italy. It's
- 25:41Speaker 1: the Alps, right, it's like the Yeah, you know, it's
- 25:43Speaker 1: the most majestic and well renowned to knowing for its
- 25:48Speaker 1: hikes and even more majestic it's uh, it's skiing. It's
- 25:53Speaker 1: like nineteen fifties Olympics. Iconic skiing the area.
- 25:57Speaker 2: So you're going to go skiing?
- 25:59Speaker 1: No, I think I think that's gonna be mostly like
- 26:01Speaker 1: just trailing and bike riding and you can go through
- 26:04Speaker 1: the World WARLD two tunnels and like crisy stuff like that.
- 26:07Speaker 2: I never heard of that. That's so cool. It's amazing.
- 26:10Speaker 2: And we want to return and like do other stuff right,
- 26:13Speaker 2: like we're just starting her home in Florence. Really amazing,
- 26:16Speaker 2: but I want to eventually go.
- 26:17Speaker 1: So how long you're gonna be away? A couple of
- 26:19Speaker 1: weeks by we can have and so so is that
- 26:21Speaker 1: one of those vacations you'll come back destroyed?
- 26:24Speaker 2: I hope not.
- 26:25Speaker 1: I mean because you're gonna have a lot of wine. Yeah,
- 26:28Speaker 1: we're gonna have a lot of bread and olive. You
- 26:30Speaker 1: a lot of gona walk, You're gonna walk a.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Lot tons of walking.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:34Speaker 2: No, we're we're we're like we're doing the cheesy touristy stuff.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Will you go to like a small little medieval towns
- 26:41Speaker 1: and stuff like that?
- 26:42Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we're putting the whole thing together now. But
- 26:45Speaker 2: it's all of that. It's like it's it's every day.
- 26:47Speaker 2: It's like, Okay, today we're visiting this and tomorrow we're
- 26:50Speaker 2: doing this tour and amazing and we're going with the kids,
- 26:53Speaker 2: and you know they're in New York, so you know
- 26:56Speaker 2: it's a chance for us to like reconnect and bond
- 27:00Speaker 2: as a family.
- 27:01Speaker 1: So good. I'll keep you posted And if anybody who's
- 27:04Speaker 1: listening wants to meet us in at the end, you know,
- 27:07Speaker 1: at the end of the June or July, you know,
- 27:10Speaker 1: we'll be there.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Uh, but you come to the Bad Money concert first. Yeah,
- 27:16Speaker 2: have you seen them in concert?
- 27:18Speaker 1: No? No battle? Uh, now get on something like that. Well,
- 27:34Speaker 1: I'm glad we cover this. This was bronst productive. This
- 27:39Speaker 1: episode was brought to you by Delta Airlines. Yes, sponsored
- 27:43Speaker 1: by by by Delta. Fortunately we lost a sponsorship spirit
- 27:50Speaker 1: fortunately they lost the funding for But.
