- 0:20Speaker 1: Hey, everyone, welcome to bless This Messa, the True Crump Podcast.
- 0:23Speaker 1: I don't care who is to say has to Hey,
- 0:24Speaker 1: all right, we're back this week and we are going
- 0:26Speaker 1: to Oklahoma where the wing goes weeping down the plains.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Don't do that sing?
- 0:33Speaker 1: Yes, I know I don't have the I don't have
- 0:36Speaker 1: that talents due, I have many talents, but one of them.
- 0:45Speaker 1: But I didn't need those talents to get a husband.
- 0:49Speaker 1: So what's wrong with me?
- 0:53Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 0:54Speaker 1: All right, So we are back. We are going to
- 0:56Speaker 1: Oklahoma this week. We are a little bit late, but
- 0:58Speaker 1: I in my defense, I have been working for the
- 1:01Speaker 1: last couple of weeks. It stop playing the violence, Stewart.
- 1:05Speaker 1: You know, I've been working round the clock at work
- 1:07Speaker 1: and that's not normal. This. We have a thing that's
- 1:10Speaker 1: due and it's a very small team that's doing it,
- 1:13Speaker 1: and it's a very large, large project. So I've been
- 1:16Speaker 1: working round the clock. So I was just I meant
- 1:18Speaker 1: to record yesterday, which would have been Friday, but I
- 1:22Speaker 1: was exhausted. I just couldn't. I've been staying up till
- 1:24Speaker 1: like midnight every night working. So but it's almost over,
- 1:28Speaker 1: thank god.
- 1:29Speaker 2: That's when the party just gets going at midnight.
- 1:32Speaker 1: That's when I do my best work. I told them
- 1:33Speaker 1: at work, I was like, if you guys would let
- 1:35Speaker 1: me work an alternative hours, I'm like, I could turn
- 1:38Speaker 1: out some work because I started hitting my stride around midnight.
- 1:41Speaker 1: I could just keep going to like three am. I'm
- 1:42Speaker 1: a night out. Okay. You want me to get up
- 1:45Speaker 1: and work at like seven am and be productive, That's
- 1:47Speaker 1: not gonna happen. It's gonna take me at least two hours,
- 1:49Speaker 1: like in like three coffees to get going.
- 1:51Speaker 2: We probably have the same conversation last time.
- 1:53Speaker 1: We probably did. But this is my life right now, Stewart.
- 1:56Speaker 1: This has been my whole life right now. But we did.
- 2:01Speaker 1: We went, I took the baby, had swim lessons. The
- 2:05Speaker 1: other two are in swim lessons. I'm not gonna talk
- 2:08Speaker 1: about that right now, but we are gonna do like
- 2:10Speaker 1: a little like a like a little update on the Patreon,
- 2:14Speaker 1: so we'll we'll talk about things there. And then I went,
- 2:19Speaker 1: I was gonna tell you I went by the car
- 2:21Speaker 1: wash today and I just want to I just want
- 2:24Speaker 1: to ask people. I have high anxiety going to the
- 2:28Speaker 1: car wash. There's a lot going on when you go
- 2:30Speaker 1: to the car wash too, so you've got the like
- 2:34Speaker 1: I feel like everything's real narrow, you know, going in
- 2:37Speaker 1: and it's one of the car washes so out here
- 2:39Speaker 1: it's so dusty and everything. We we just it's cheaper
- 2:41Speaker 1: just to buy the unlimited membership each month. So because
- 2:46Speaker 1: I go run our van through the car wash once
- 2:48Speaker 1: a week because it's just so dusty here, your car
- 2:51Speaker 1: just gets like dirt caked on it, like every week.
- 2:54Speaker 1: So it's one of those ones where there's like the
- 2:57Speaker 1: people there and they're like when you enter the car
- 2:59Speaker 1: wash are spraying off your stuff, and then when you exit,
- 3:02Speaker 1: they're like drying it. You like get your car gets
- 3:05Speaker 1: like pushed through and everything that I understand, you know
- 3:08Speaker 1: what I'm talking about to do, but I'm explaining to.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Everybody else and I'm nodding because they're nodding yes.
- 3:13Speaker 1: So it's one of those and I don't know if
- 3:15Speaker 1: anybody else I get. I get extreme anxiety like going
- 3:18Speaker 1: through these things because there's just a lot going on.
- 3:21Speaker 1: You gotta like there's like people telling you to like
- 3:23Speaker 1: move up and like move your tires over. You gotta
- 3:25Speaker 1: get on the tracks just.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Right, and then somebody else is telling you to stop.
- 3:29Speaker 1: They're telling you to stop. You got to put it
- 3:31Speaker 1: in neutral at some point. There's just a lot going on.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Then they're like dry, they're like like spraying off your car,
- 3:35Speaker 1: and they'll be like leaning in front of the car
- 3:37Speaker 1: and all of a sudden, the little machine will kick
- 3:39Speaker 1: on and it's like almost hit them. I'm like Jesus car. Anyways,
- 3:42Speaker 1: there's a lot going on. Every time I go into
- 3:43Speaker 1: the car wash, I get anxiety about it. I have
- 3:46Speaker 1: to turn the music off, like I really need to concentrate.
- 3:48Speaker 2: You need to concentrate on riding through.
- 3:50Speaker 1: The car wash, well, getting lined up and make sure
- 3:52Speaker 1: you don't hit anybody.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Yeah, okay.
- 3:54Speaker 1: And then exiting is a whole other issue because you're
- 3:56Speaker 1: like exiting, when do I put my car back in drive,
- 3:59Speaker 1: there's people trying to drive the car off and they're
- 4:01Speaker 1: like gonna get hit Like when do I stop? When
- 4:03Speaker 1: do I go? Is the other car gonna get shoved in?
- 4:06Speaker 1: It's just a lot. It's not the most enjoyable experience
- 4:09Speaker 1: for me. Well, today it was worse because so in
- 4:13Speaker 1: front of me there was like a guy in like
- 4:14Speaker 1: a work truck or whatever, and he had like a
- 4:17Speaker 1: vest on, you know, like a safety vest. And he
- 4:19Speaker 1: was also missing part of his ring finger, so definitely
- 4:23Speaker 1: a worker. And for you saying thing, I work in
- 4:25Speaker 1: an industry where a lot of people are missing fingers. Anyways, Anyways,
- 4:32Speaker 1: so he's in front of me, and then there's like
- 4:34Speaker 1: a I think we talked about. I think it's a Mercedes.
- 4:37Speaker 1: It's the one with the circle and the three points. Okay,
- 4:41Speaker 1: it's a Mercedes. That's a nice car. You know, this person,
- 4:44Speaker 1: I'm assuming it was I'm gonna assume it was a woman.
- 4:48Speaker 1: I'm assuming it was a woman. All of a sudden,
- 4:51Speaker 1: she starts she's in the tracks or whatever, and then
- 4:54Speaker 1: she starts backing up. And the guy I'm looking at
- 4:58Speaker 1: the one guy had his window rolled down, and I'm
- 5:00Speaker 1: like looking like and I'm sure my face is like
- 5:02Speaker 1: what the fuck, like like I'm already anxious enough. I
- 5:05Speaker 1: don't need you, like whatever you're doing. She backs up,
- 5:07Speaker 1: so he starts backing up. But we were at the
- 5:09Speaker 1: angle where I didn't have to back up anymore, but
- 5:11Speaker 1: there was cars behind me too, and I'm like, what
- 5:13Speaker 1: the fuck is she doing? So then she pulls back
- 5:15Speaker 1: in again. Well this time she misses the tracks completely,
- 5:18Speaker 1: her tire's going to slip, Like this is like my
- 5:22Speaker 1: worst nightmare of what's gonna happen me. The guy in
- 5:24Speaker 1: the work truck in front of me, he starts looking
- 5:26Speaker 1: at me. Sorry, we had to pause for a second.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Stew had to cough anyway, So he starts looking at me,
- 5:30Speaker 1: and then he gets out because I guess he's gonna
- 5:32Speaker 1: go help the person right because she has backed out,
- 5:34Speaker 1: she she misses the tracks, she backs out, she pulls
- 5:37Speaker 1: forward again, she hits the tracks this time, but then
- 5:40Speaker 1: she backs out again. So he's getting out of his truck.
- 5:43Speaker 1: He's gonna go help her, Like what a nice guy.
- 5:45Speaker 1: And then the workers that were doing the drying at
- 5:48Speaker 1: the other end I found out, they were like, where's
- 5:51Speaker 1: the hold up? Where's all the cars? The cars at
- 5:54Speaker 1: So they come over there. They're trying to like talk
- 5:56Speaker 1: to this lady or whatever, like it's fine, just go forward.
- 5:59Speaker 1: I guess she didn't know. Oh, she might have been
- 6:01Speaker 1: panicking about the tracks or whatever. But she then she
- 6:03Speaker 1: started missing him, so twice she missed him after she
- 6:06Speaker 1: backed out, went back in, and then finally they were like, no,
- 6:08Speaker 1: just keep going forward and then put your car car
- 6:11Speaker 1: neutral anyways, and then the guy in the truck, he's
- 6:13Speaker 1: looking at me. He's like laughing and he's like, I
- 6:15Speaker 1: don't know, and I was like, and then I guess
- 6:16Speaker 1: he kept I kept watching her, you know, my face,
- 6:19Speaker 1: I can't control what it looks like. And I'm just
- 6:21Speaker 1: like like, what the fuck And he's looking at me,
- 6:24Speaker 1: laughing at me because I'm just like, what's wrong with
- 6:26Speaker 1: this person? Anyway? So then I'm like, oh my god,
- 6:29Speaker 1: it's my turn to get up. And I was just like,
- 6:30Speaker 1: I had the music off. I'm like, I gotta focus.
- 6:32Speaker 1: I'm like, kids, shut up.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I got after you just saw this piasco going out? Yes,
- 6:37Speaker 2: I thought you were next time?
- 6:38Speaker 1: Well, so yeah, I was like, oh god, this is
- 6:40Speaker 1: like I was starting. I was like, this happens to
- 6:42Speaker 1: people in the car was wash and they look so
- 6:45Speaker 1: stupid and everything. So but I made it through. I
- 6:48Speaker 1: lined my tires up, I put it in neutral. It
- 6:51Speaker 1: did like jolt the car forward and it almost hit
- 6:53Speaker 1: the guy, but that was on him and I made
- 6:55Speaker 1: it out safely. But I don't know what that persons
- 7:00Speaker 1: problem was. And yeah, they.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Probably don't like going through car washes.
- 7:05Speaker 1: No, but that's my anxiety like they act like they've
- 7:07Speaker 1: never been through one, or maybe they do this all
- 7:09Speaker 1: the time. But that's like my biggest fear is that
- 7:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna be that person that gets off the tracks.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Anyway, so well, congratulations, I'm making it home.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Thank you. I do it. Just this intense moment for
- 7:22Speaker 1: me today. So anyway, So that's what uh, I just
- 7:26Speaker 1: I'd like to know if anybody else gets anxiety going
- 7:28Speaker 1: in the car wash. You don't obviously, you don't get
- 7:31Speaker 1: anxiety going into the car warsh Stu I.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Wonder if it's going to break down.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Only sometimes I always thinking then I'm like, oh my god,
- 7:40Speaker 1: what's this is like a horror movie? And then it's
- 7:41Speaker 1: just gonna shut off in the middle wire I'm in
- 7:43Speaker 1: the middle of it, and then it's gonna like the
- 7:45Speaker 1: lights are gonna go and the ends are going to
- 7:47Speaker 1: close up, and then some guy's gonna jump out and
- 7:49Speaker 1: just start trying to stab everybody.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Is that every No, the NDS cannot close up because
- 7:54Speaker 2: there ain't no doors on the ends.
- 7:56Speaker 1: There's got to be doors on the end. How do
- 7:58Speaker 1: they have security.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Security from one people going in there and tampering with
- 8:02Speaker 2: the wash?
- 8:03Speaker 1: Stewart, I guarantee those nice ones. They probably have rolled
- 8:06Speaker 1: down doors or something that close it up. They're not
- 8:08Speaker 1: gonna leave all that expensive equipment in there and everything
- 8:11Speaker 1: just accessible to the public at night, especially in this town.
- 8:15Speaker 2: I have not checked it out, but it's quite possible
- 8:17Speaker 2: they have to.
- 8:18Speaker 1: I feel like they do, and I feel like it
- 8:19Speaker 1: could turn into a horror movie.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Not a hell I want to die on.
- 8:22Speaker 1: So okay anyway, So that's what that was. What's happening
- 8:27Speaker 1: today to me? I know to you, yes, this happened
- 8:31Speaker 1: to me.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Sounds like it happened to the other lady.
- 8:35Speaker 1: You know, she seems so aloose. She probably didn't even
- 8:36Speaker 1: think twice about that she did that. But I would
- 8:38Speaker 1: it would.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Laughing about it now.
- 8:41Speaker 1: If that happened to me, I would be mortified for
- 8:44Speaker 1: the next week and would not be able to go
- 8:46Speaker 1: back to the to the carrsh I'd be like, Stu,
- 8:48Speaker 1: you got to do it. I can't.
- 8:50Speaker 2: I can't do it. That's how they know that you
- 8:54Speaker 2: got the annual pass.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Anyways. All right, Well that's it, So we have our
- 8:59Speaker 1: paid Treon. We're going to be recording a little true
- 9:03Speaker 1: crime round up, just like Little Life updates for the Patreon.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Why are you whipping me? I was thinking about calling
- 9:13Speaker 1: it true crime review with Karen Stu and we're just
- 9:17Speaker 1: going to talk about somethings.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Talk about I'm not going to discuss this with me
- 9:20Speaker 2: when that's we're just doing it. I'm doing and you're
- 9:22Speaker 2: going to name it. What do you care? I care?
- 9:27Speaker 1: Anyway. So, because I've been looking at the Karen Reid stuff,
- 9:30Speaker 1: mainly on TikTok, because I'm beginning Stuart, you know that's
- 9:35Speaker 1: not even remotely true. Okay, don't get me started to
- 9:38Speaker 1: get somebody else going anyway. So we'll talk about that stuff,
- 9:43Speaker 1: and then we have our Facebook Instagram TikTok I did
- 9:46Speaker 1: it real? Or whatever they call them? What's the tiktoks?
- 9:49Speaker 2: I ain't got a tiktoks?
- 9:51Speaker 1: What is it that they post? It's not a real
- 9:52Speaker 1: that's it's just a video.
- 9:55Speaker 2: I guess. I don't know. It's a talk. Yeah.
- 9:57Speaker 1: I got like three hundred new followers in the last week,
- 10:00Speaker 1: so I thought that was pretty good. What do you think?
- 10:02Speaker 1: How zero? Anyway, So we're over on the tiktoks. I'm
- 10:07Speaker 1: gonna start sharing more I think on the TikTok and
- 10:09Speaker 1: then I'll make sure and try to share it on
- 10:11Speaker 1: the Instagram, Facebook. TikTok's just super easy to just open
- 10:15Speaker 1: up your phone and just go like just talk, Instagram
- 10:18Speaker 1: and Facebook. You got it more. It feels more like polished,
- 10:21Speaker 1: like you they want you to, like, you know, be
- 10:25Speaker 1: have it all again.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Putting turns out there. They want you to polish them
- 10:29Speaker 2: up a little bit.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Yes, but TikTok doesn't care, and they're like, yeah, we'll
- 10:31Speaker 1: show this to everybody you look terrible and send it
- 10:34Speaker 1: out to the mask. Yeah. So anyway, so that's what
- 10:39Speaker 1: we're doing. Uh oh. I wanted to thank sean to
- 10:42Speaker 1: she bought us some coffee after I made everybody feel
- 10:46Speaker 1: bad last week. So not everybody, that's one of the
- 10:50Speaker 1: rest of you fuckers. I had to buy my own
- 10:53Speaker 1: coffee this week anyway, So thank you very much. And
- 10:58Speaker 1: I think that's all. Oh rate reviews. Unless your name's Alice.
- 11:03Speaker 2: She can go back and fix her one start a five.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Do you think she's still listening?
- 11:07Speaker 2: I doubt it. I don't know why she's selling your
- 11:08Speaker 2: head though.
- 11:09Speaker 1: I don't know, Stuart.
- 11:10Speaker 2: It's been like five episodes ago this.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Happened, I know, But now she's the she embodies everybody
- 11:16Speaker 1: who writes a bad review.
- 11:18Speaker 2: Now, well there's a few of them.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Yeah, So but Alice seems to have just because she
- 11:23Speaker 1: take the effort to go to Facebook and all that stuff. So, yes,
- 11:27Speaker 1: what a loser?
- 11:30Speaker 2: All right?
- 11:30Speaker 1: So I think that is it. So let's go ahead
- 11:32Speaker 1: and get into our go ahead do what did I say?
- 11:35Speaker 1: Get in head? Go ahead, go ahead? And it's like
- 11:43Speaker 1: that TikTok I saw that was so I died laughing
- 11:45Speaker 1: at that one. It's like some sort of skit in
- 11:47Speaker 1: the Little The guy's name is Chit and he's like
- 11:49Speaker 1: this little dorky white guy and he works in the
- 11:52Speaker 1: office and there's like this black lady and then another
- 11:54Speaker 1: guy in there and he walks in. He's like, uh,
- 11:58Speaker 1: such as such said there's a black person here, and
- 12:02Speaker 1: then he keeps out. He's like what, and she goes,
- 12:05Speaker 1: what did you just say? Yeah, such as such said
- 12:08Speaker 1: there's a black person here, and she's like uh. And
- 12:10Speaker 1: then one guy's like, well, there's a white person here too,
- 12:12Speaker 1: and he's like, I don't need a white person need.
- 12:15Speaker 1: I don't need one of those, or I don't need
- 12:17Speaker 1: one of those. There's a I need a there's a
- 12:19Speaker 1: black person here, and she's like excuse the black Lady's
- 12:23Speaker 1: like excuse me, chit and then he walks over. He
- 12:26Speaker 1: picks up it's a black purse and she's like you
- 12:31Speaker 1: did you just say a black purse in here? He's like, yeah,
- 12:34Speaker 1: this is anyways.
- 12:38Speaker 2: So everybody in on it or what I think.
- 12:41Speaker 1: It's like a they're like skits Chit's like the it's
- 12:44Speaker 1: like a skit comedy thing. So they planned it, but
- 12:47Speaker 1: it was just like yeah, and so then everybody's taking
- 12:50Speaker 1: the audio and like making funny stuff.
- 12:52Speaker 2: So they weren't.
- 12:54Speaker 1: No, it's all like a like a skit thing I
- 12:57Speaker 1: think of like an office. And then he's like, is
- 13:00Speaker 1: there a black person here anyways?
- 13:03Speaker 2: Kind of like that one I tried to show you
- 13:05Speaker 2: and you're like, nope, I'm out the Tom Segura where
- 13:09Speaker 2: he was going to the kids play, yeah, because I didn't.
- 13:13Speaker 1: That's not my kind of humors do, Okay, it's not
- 13:16Speaker 1: my kind of humor. Fine, we have different types of
- 13:22Speaker 1: humors do very different and music taste and music taste.
- 13:28Speaker 1: One of us is right and one of us is wrong.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Stu, I'm sorry, you're all right.
- 13:32Speaker 1: So let's go ahead and get into this case out
- 13:34Speaker 1: of Oklahoma. So Rick Swan grew up in Claremore, Oklahoma,
- 13:38Speaker 1: on a dairy farm, and this was setting about when
- 13:41Speaker 1: he was growing up. I think he was born around
- 13:43Speaker 1: I couldn't find the exact birthday, but in the I
- 13:46Speaker 1: think nineteen fifties time. Anyways, he had a brother who
- 13:50Speaker 1: he was very close with, and they would just like
- 13:52Speaker 1: just had the far you know, Oklahoma dairy farm for
- 14:00Speaker 1: family was described as salt of the earth. He loved
- 14:02Speaker 1: fishing and just having a good time.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Who doesn't.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Now when he wasn't on the farm, he was actually
- 14:08Speaker 1: working the pipelines all over the US. So he traveled
- 14:11Speaker 1: a lot landsome pipe yep. And so it didn't leave
- 14:15Speaker 1: a lot of time what is wrong with you? What
- 14:18Speaker 1: is wrong with you? Anyways, So it didn't leave a
- 14:23Speaker 1: lot of time for like finding a relationship, finding love.
- 14:27Speaker 1: But he did make a lot of money doing this,
- 14:29Speaker 1: Like you know, pipeline workers, they make a lot of money,
- 14:31Speaker 1: especially if they travel and do all that stuff. So
- 14:33Speaker 1: he had the farm and he had this money from
- 14:36Speaker 1: the pipeline. He didn't ever get married, so he's just
- 14:39Speaker 1: saving up this money. So he built himself quite a
- 14:41Speaker 1: portfolio of and had quite a bit of money. Well,
- 14:45Speaker 1: at forty five, he starts dating. I guess he decided
- 14:49Speaker 1: it was time to, you know, have a partner. So
- 14:52Speaker 1: at forty five, he begins dating a childhood friend named
- 14:55Speaker 1: Kathy Foster now Rick and Kathy. They moved fast in
- 14:58Speaker 1: their relationship and he ptty much just spoiled Kathy. He
- 15:01Speaker 1: just he just loved her a lot and just thought
- 15:04Speaker 1: she was you know the besneys do.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Was she a bartender? That's where he'd go whenever he
- 15:10Speaker 2: got off of work.
- 15:11Speaker 1: I feel like I feel like she based on her
- 15:13Speaker 1: I feel like maybe she could.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Have been based on the people I've seen that work
- 15:17Speaker 2: in the oil field or pipeline community.
- 15:19Speaker 1: He probably met her at a bar, met her.
- 15:21Speaker 2: At a bar. Yeah, spent his entire well he at time,
- 15:26Speaker 2: going to the bar.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Yes, And she was a childhood friend, and he like
- 15:31Speaker 1: strikes up this romance with her, and then he's just
- 15:33Speaker 1: like obsessed as soon as they start dating. Well, Kathy,
- 15:37Speaker 1: she had suffered with mental issues and went through depressive
- 15:40Speaker 1: periods where she was on medication and she'd also she's
- 15:44Speaker 1: also had tried to take her life at one point
- 15:47Speaker 1: but with Rick, she seemed very happy, so she kind
- 15:51Speaker 1: of like stabilized and they were doing really good. So
- 15:54Speaker 1: in two thousand and five, he proposed to Kathy with
- 15:57Speaker 1: the two carrot diamond ring. Stew Kathy's not the problem
- 16:02Speaker 1: in this. Let me just.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Yes, the red flags thought it was a circus one
- 16:11Speaker 2: or the other.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Anyways, he so it was a two carrot dim ring.
- 16:14Speaker 1: So that's like a that's a big ring. That's I
- 16:17Speaker 1: don't know how much that's worth, but it's a lot.
- 16:19Speaker 1: So they married out at Rick's parents home in the
- 16:21Speaker 1: country because they were just like country folk, you know.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Now Kathy did have two grown sons, Brandon and Kevin.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Now she had she was She spoke to Brandon at
- 16:32Speaker 1: this point, but she had became estranged with Kevin. Kevin
- 16:36Speaker 1: had been kicked out of the home, but she still
- 16:37Speaker 1: wanted She wanted to be in his life, but they
- 16:39Speaker 1: just he had gotten kicked out for some reason and
- 16:42Speaker 1: they just weren't talking that much. So when Rick gets involved,
- 16:46Speaker 1: he starts trying to like, Kathy really wanted Kevin back
- 16:49Speaker 1: in her life when he talked to her. So Rick
- 16:51Speaker 1: goes out of his way to try to bring Kevin
- 16:53Speaker 1: into the fold, stay out of it. Try to bring
- 16:57Speaker 1: Kevin in the folds. He gets him a trailer out
- 16:59Speaker 1: there and kill clairemore one puts him through school, and
- 17:04Speaker 1: Kevin eventually, you know, kind of becomes stable in terms
- 17:07Speaker 1: of like he gets a job at a bank. He's
- 17:09Speaker 1: doing pretty good. Some of the bad behaviors he had
- 17:12Speaker 1: before have gone away, and he's talking to his mom again.
- 17:17Speaker 1: My question is did it have to do with the
- 17:19Speaker 1: fact that she just married someone with a bunch of money.
- 17:21Speaker 1: But we'll get into it.
- 17:23Speaker 2: We don't know.
- 17:25Speaker 1: So Kevin and his mom, like I said, they were
- 17:27Speaker 1: rebuilding this relationship and things were going well for a while.
- 17:31Speaker 1: And so eleven years into their marriage, in twenty sixteen,
- 17:34Speaker 1: I guess Kathy went through like another depressive state and
- 17:37Speaker 1: she actually took her own life. Now, Rick became very
- 17:41Speaker 1: depressed after this. He even thought about taking his own
- 17:44Speaker 1: life in the months after. But about four months after
- 17:48Speaker 1: she committed suicide, he finds this suicide note that was hidden.
- 17:52Speaker 1: I guess she had tucked it away. So he discovers this,
- 17:55Speaker 1: and Kathy had outlined, you know, like why she did
- 17:58Speaker 1: this and what she wondered for Rick and everything that
- 18:01Speaker 1: and This kind of gave him some closure, and so
- 18:03Speaker 1: he was able to start living again, and he kind
- 18:06Speaker 1: of regained his love. He started going back to the
- 18:08Speaker 1: things he did before fishing, and was really just starting
- 18:12Speaker 1: to try to recover from this tragic event of his
- 18:15Speaker 1: wife taking her own life.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Did not see that coming, I know, if.
- 18:19Speaker 1: That's what you were already like blaming Kathy. I'm like,
- 18:21Speaker 1: stew calm down. You're like, could you've warned me a
- 18:26Speaker 1: little bit before we started this.
- 18:30Speaker 2: No, I could not let you walk in I watch
- 18:33Speaker 2: you twist.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Yes, I had to watch you twist in the wind,
- 18:36Speaker 1: and I'm trying to pull you back down. But yes.
- 18:39Speaker 1: So it was kind of a time in Rick's life
- 18:42Speaker 1: where he was really happy and then all this stuff happened,
- 18:44Speaker 1: and now he's trying to come out of this tragedy.
- 18:47Speaker 1: So one of the notes I we don't know, Stuart
- 18:50Speaker 1: didn't say. I didn't get a copy, okay.
- 18:53Speaker 2: On November fifteenth, twenty eighteen, a call comes into nine
- 18:55Speaker 2: one one about a huge fire on top of a
- 18:58Speaker 2: hill at a property owned by well known resident. You
- 19:02Speaker 2: know who that might be Rick Swann.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Yeah, well, because in Claremore, I don't think well, Oklahoma's
- 19:08Speaker 1: not that big of a state anyways, but clairemore so
- 19:11Speaker 1: small town. If he's probably one of the wealthiest residents
- 19:13Speaker 1: in claremore So, he is known because he owns like
- 19:17Speaker 1: different businesses and everything like that, and it's been there
- 19:20Speaker 1: his whole life.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Well, firefighters they do arrive on the scene, they find
- 19:25Speaker 2: the barn is engulfed in flames. In the barn, there's
- 19:28Speaker 2: an RV and it appeared to be the source of
- 19:31Speaker 2: the fire. They get the RV out of the barn.
- 19:34Speaker 2: How they didn't manage that well.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I think that they got it out. It was pretty
- 19:37Speaker 1: severely burned, so I think they got like chunks of it.
- 19:41Speaker 1: They were able to extinguish it and pull the pieces
- 19:45Speaker 1: of the RV out. Yeah, from what I could tell.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Upon removing the RV, they find a burned body inside.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Of the barn. Of the barn, yes, because I think
- 19:58Speaker 1: it was They believe the body was originally in the
- 20:01Speaker 1: RV and it burned and fell out, and so when
- 20:03Speaker 1: they pulled it.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Out, that body fell on the ground.
- 20:07Speaker 1: I guess something like that.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Now, they didn't know on initial examination if this was
- 20:11Speaker 2: accidental or intentional. The body was very charred, but they
- 20:14Speaker 2: could see that the position that he was laid out in,
- 20:17Speaker 2: it was his arms and legs were splayed out, So
- 20:19Speaker 2: it was not the typical position you would find a
- 20:21Speaker 2: burned body that got caught on fire while they were alive,
- 20:25Speaker 2: because they.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Probably they'd normally be tucking themselves or or something.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Yeah, So they keep inspecting and they find that there
- 20:32Speaker 2: were three gunshot wounds, one of the back of the head,
- 20:35Speaker 2: one of the lower back, and one of the chest.
- 20:38Speaker 2: So police believed that this was clearly a suicide homicide.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Well, the way it goes, do you had one job?
- 20:47Speaker 1: One job? Now police were looking at a very intentional murder.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Not only was Rick shot in the back of the
- 20:54Speaker 1: head and twice in other parts of his body, he's
- 20:58Speaker 1: also you know, set on fire. I mean, this is
- 21:01Speaker 1: like very intentional. Now, with the crime scene being set
- 21:04Speaker 1: on fire, it was difficult to pull evidence, but they
- 21:07Speaker 1: did find the shell casings from the three bullet wounds. Now,
- 21:12Speaker 1: this is a small town, so word gets out real
- 21:15Speaker 1: real fast that Rick has been murdered. Now, Rick's personal attorney,
- 21:19Speaker 1: who would handle like his business stuff, his wills, things
- 21:22Speaker 1: like that, once he heard Rick was gone, he immediately
- 21:25Speaker 1: calls police, and he's like, hey, you know who did this?
- 21:27Speaker 1: It was Kevin.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Oh, Kevin, yes.
- 21:30Speaker 1: And so Kevin is, you know, the step son, one
- 21:32Speaker 1: of the steps So he was the one that had
- 21:34Speaker 1: the falling out and Rick kind of brought him back
- 21:36Speaker 1: into his mom's life. Now, please speak to the lawyer,
- 21:41Speaker 1: Rick's lawyer, and he outlines the fallout between Rick and
- 21:45Speaker 1: both the step sons. Now, after Kathy's death, Brandon and
- 21:48Speaker 1: Kevin blamed Rick for the death of his mother. Now
- 21:52Speaker 1: I don't they didn't go into they they didn't go
- 21:55Speaker 1: in details, but basically they're saying, like they know it
- 21:58Speaker 1: was not him that killed her, but saying it drove her, yeah,
- 22:02Speaker 1: or drove her to it or whatever. I'm guessing there
- 22:05Speaker 1: was issues before and then this was like the last
- 22:07Speaker 1: thing and then they were like, well you you you
- 22:09Speaker 1: drove my mother to suicide. Blah blah blah blah blah.
- 22:12Speaker 1: You know like that kind of stuff. So anyway, so Kevin,
- 22:15Speaker 1: he would he could not uh like, while Brandon blamed
- 22:19Speaker 1: him as well, Kevin could not get over the blame
- 22:22Speaker 1: that he placed on Rick. He also tells police about
- 22:25Speaker 1: Kevin's financial issues and that Rick had been helping Kevin
- 22:29Speaker 1: when he began struggling at his job and with his finances, because,
- 22:32Speaker 1: like we said, Kevin was not doing well, and then
- 22:37Speaker 1: Rick helped him out, and then he's slowly slipping back
- 22:39Speaker 1: into his old ways. Now, Rick did let him borrow
- 22:44Speaker 1: seventy five hundred dollars and this was through a bank
- 22:46Speaker 1: account that Rick opened jointly with Kevin. So I guess
- 22:48Speaker 1: he opened a bank account, put some money in there,
- 22:51Speaker 1: and allowed Kevin to have like a debit card. But
- 22:53Speaker 1: he could he only was told He told him he could,
- 22:55Speaker 1: you know, borrow such and such money. Well, he then
- 22:58Speaker 1: found out that Kevin was taking extra money out and
- 23:01Speaker 1: a total of seventeen thousand dollars was missing. Now, while
- 23:05Speaker 1: he was upset, he did let it go. He did
- 23:08Speaker 1: let it go, but he just said, I'm not gonna
- 23:10Speaker 1: help you anymore, Kevin. You've lied to me, You've stolen
- 23:13Speaker 1: from me. But Rick had money, so he was like,
- 23:17Speaker 1: it wasn't you know something that seventeen thousand dollars wasn't
- 23:20Speaker 1: gonna you know, he wasn't gonna be able to not
- 23:22Speaker 1: pay the rent or something like that. So he did
- 23:24Speaker 1: let it go. But he kind of that was kind
- 23:26Speaker 1: of the end of him and Kevin's relationship. Now, Kevin
- 23:29Speaker 1: wasn't happy about this, and so then he asked Kevin.
- 23:33Speaker 1: So then he asked Rick. He's like, okay, well, if
- 23:36Speaker 1: you're not gonna give me any more money, then I
- 23:38Speaker 1: want my mom's to care at diamond ring because that
- 23:40Speaker 1: was her ring, and so I think it should be
- 23:43Speaker 1: with me because I should inherit it after she died,
- 23:46Speaker 1: which is not how it works. Okay, there, if the
- 23:49Speaker 1: spouse is still alive, they get it. They get it,
- 23:52Speaker 1: not only did it especially he got it, yes, and
- 23:55Speaker 1: if his mom didn't have something just written out that's
- 23:58Speaker 1: saying that he got the ring, then he had didn't
- 24:01Speaker 1: really have anything to stand on. So Rick refused, but
- 24:05Speaker 1: Kevin didn't drop it. He then demanded that Rick give
- 24:07Speaker 1: him half of his mom's estate, meaning half of Rick's estate.
- 24:11Speaker 1: He's like, wait a minute, my mom died and she
- 24:13Speaker 1: owned half of your stuff, so therefore I should get it.
- 24:15Speaker 1: That's like, that's not how that works either. Okay there, Kevin,
- 24:20Speaker 1: and you worked at a bank. Come on, Kevin. So
- 24:23Speaker 1: he even wanted not only ricks a state that he
- 24:26Speaker 1: had in the eleven years that he built up, he
- 24:27Speaker 1: wanted everything he thought he was entitled even half of
- 24:30Speaker 1: everything that's Rick owns, like period before he before even yeah,
- 24:35Speaker 1: before he even married his mom. Because a lot of
- 24:37Speaker 1: times if they had gotten divorced, they might have stopped
- 24:39Speaker 1: and said, okay, starting at this point, you know, anything
- 24:43Speaker 1: before that, she's not entitled to half of it. But
- 24:46Speaker 1: during the time you were married, anything you gained earned,
- 24:48Speaker 1: then then she's entitled to half. So this isn't even
- 24:53Speaker 1: what are you talking about.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Get half anyway? No, that he signed a prenup.
- 25:00Speaker 1: No, A lot of times they'll look at they'll say,
- 25:01Speaker 1: well they had this before. You know who's you know
- 25:03Speaker 1: who really got fucked over? Though? Who the the Jeff
- 25:09Speaker 1: Bezos ex wife.
- 25:10Speaker 2: She got a fortune.
- 25:12Speaker 1: No, it doesn't matter. She was with that bald headed,
- 25:14Speaker 1: dorky looking man when he was started Amazon. She helped
- 25:17Speaker 1: him start Amazon. And I understand she got thirty eight
- 25:19Speaker 1: point four billion dollars. Okay, she's gonna be fine. O.
- 25:22Speaker 2: God, she could be starving them.
- 25:24Speaker 1: She got four percent of Amazon is what happened. But
- 25:27Speaker 1: the thing is is that she helped him build this thing.
- 25:30Speaker 1: They were married from like nineteen ninety three to twenty
- 25:33Speaker 1: nineteen she was with him that whole entire time, and
- 25:36Speaker 1: she only got thirty eight billion. I think she should
- 25:38Speaker 1: have got half. She helped him build up the company, right,
- 25:43Speaker 1: She was right there at the beginning while he was
- 25:44Speaker 1: in that garage with this little Amazon banner and his
- 25:47Speaker 1: pop belly and his baldy head, and she's stuck in there,
- 25:52Speaker 1: you know. Anyways, and then that lady he's marrying now,
- 25:56Speaker 1: she's got like she'd be looking she'd be looking rough.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Stew not that she wasn't pretty before. It's just like,
- 26:04Speaker 1: I don't understand all these people in Hollywood. You don't
- 26:06Speaker 1: see how ridiculous you look. You look like freaking like
- 26:09Speaker 1: the cryptkeeper with your fillers and your lips, and then
- 26:12Speaker 1: they put the fillers in their cheeks. They look like
- 26:14Speaker 1: that the Jigsaw guy on the tricycle with those high cheekbones. Anyways, Yes,
- 26:21Speaker 1: they just get too much work done. They should just
- 26:23Speaker 1: let she was pretty before.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I think bezos Husban has been number.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Four or five too, so yeah, I think it's three
- 26:29Speaker 1: or four. She was married to Tony guns or she
- 26:32Speaker 1: was married to Tony Gonzalez, which that's a big win.
- 26:34Speaker 1: You know, he's a good looking fellow.
- 26:37Speaker 2: He was.
- 26:38Speaker 1: He helped me win my fantasy football the first year. Yes,
- 26:43Speaker 1: I picked him based on his tight end, so it
- 26:46Speaker 1: turned out he was really good anyways. So yeah, So,
- 26:52Speaker 1: so Kevin has a very misconstrued understanding of what he
- 26:56Speaker 1: is entitled to after his mom took her home, own life,
- 27:00Speaker 1: and if Rick's money is what's going on.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Yes, Kevin sounds like he's a grifter. Yes, pretty much. Yes,
- 27:09Speaker 2: things start to get worse and worse between old Rick
- 27:11Speaker 2: and Kevin. Kevin files a lawsuit against Rick, saying that
- 27:14Speaker 2: Rick owes him money from a bank account that he
- 27:18Speaker 2: is owed from his mom's estate. Rick counter susan, this
- 27:23Speaker 2: pisses off Kevin even more.
- 27:25Speaker 1: Yeah, because he's trying to say that that money that's
- 27:27Speaker 1: in that bank account that he was on jointly that
- 27:30Speaker 1: Rick took away from him, he should have been entitled to.
- 27:33Speaker 1: I don't know if that was something that maybe Kevin
- 27:36Speaker 1: or Rick had put in there saying, like, you know,
- 27:38Speaker 1: I don't know what the deal was, but he thought
- 27:40Speaker 1: that all that money in that bank account he should
- 27:42Speaker 1: be entitled to because it's part of his mom's estate. Again,
- 27:45Speaker 1: we're just what an idiot.
- 27:48Speaker 2: So Rick starts noticing things start missing from his house,
- 27:51Speaker 2: including wedding photos, jewelry, and this includes the two caret
- 27:55Speaker 2: wedding ring. He even documented this on camera, all the
- 27:58Speaker 2: items that are missing. He believed Kevin was responsible for
- 28:02Speaker 2: breaking in and taking these things, and he looked dead
- 28:05Speaker 2: in the camera, and he wanted people to see this
- 28:08Speaker 2: because he said, if something happens to him, Kevin did it. Now.
- 28:12Speaker 1: I don't want to speak ill of the deads too,
- 28:13Speaker 1: but Rick was an older gentleman on an iPhone. All
- 28:19Speaker 1: the videos were of that terrible angle people, you know,
- 28:22Speaker 1: like old older people always talked down in heaven. Yes,
- 28:25Speaker 1: because I remember like when my mom was she had
- 28:27Speaker 1: to take a it was like back probably like in
- 28:29Speaker 1: I don't know, probably two thousand and like a long
- 28:33Speaker 1: time ago whatever, and she had to take a picture
- 28:35Speaker 1: for her badge at work, and she kept taking the
- 28:37Speaker 1: photo right here. I'm like, Mom, just just left it out.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Your mom sends photos like that too. They'll be like
- 28:44Speaker 1: down here, if you just raise your hand up it
- 28:48Speaker 1: that's angles so good, face out, get some light going on.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Your face, side of your neck.
- 28:54Speaker 1: Everybody looks bad from this angle anyway. So he's like
- 28:57Speaker 1: recording and it's like that. So I just thought that
- 28:59Speaker 1: was he didn't care what he looked like. He was
- 29:02Speaker 1: just like, what did it document that, oh, Kevin been stealing.
- 29:05Speaker 2: From It was quite obviously he didn't care what it
- 29:06Speaker 2: looked like. No, Rick did file theft charges against Kevin.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Kevin was brought in and questioned, but denied any involvement
- 29:13Speaker 2: in the things missing at Rick's house. The icing on
- 29:16Speaker 2: the cake was when Rick went out to visit Kathy's grave,
- 29:20Speaker 2: he found that her original gravestone that he had placed
- 29:24Speaker 2: there had been moved to the side, and a larger,
- 29:28Speaker 2: more elaborate gravestone was now in its place, with Kathy's
- 29:32Speaker 2: maiden name on it and the last name Swan was removed.
- 29:37Speaker 2: This pissed off Rick, as one white imagine.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Because it was also Rick supposed to be rix gravestone too,
- 29:44Speaker 1: because it said, you know, it's got the place for
- 29:46Speaker 1: the spouse, so it had Rick Swan and it said
- 29:49Speaker 1: his birth date too. I guess I could have got
- 29:50Speaker 1: his birth year from there. Anyways. Well, I don't think
- 29:53Speaker 1: they put that on there yet until it's time anyways.
- 29:56Speaker 1: And then Kathy Swan was next to the headstone the
- 30:00Speaker 1: new gravestone was quite elaborate. There was like a place
- 30:03Speaker 1: to sit in a place. It's because he pawned that
- 30:06Speaker 1: two carrot diamond ring and went and bought it.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Probably probably had to get rid of the evidence that
- 30:10Speaker 2: he had. Now Rick is upset. He files a restraining
- 30:14Speaker 2: in order to restraining order to keep Kevin away from
- 30:17Speaker 2: the grave site.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Not from him from the gravesite.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Yes, until a hearing can occur on November fifteenth, twenty eighteen,
- 30:26Speaker 2: the day of the murder.
- 30:29Speaker 1: All right, so please. They began questioning neighbors, so they
- 30:33Speaker 1: got this whole like, they got this whole backstory from
- 30:36Speaker 1: the lawyer. So now they need to go out and
- 30:38Speaker 1: just see what they can find. So they start questioning
- 30:40Speaker 1: the neighbors and they find that a red Mini Cooper
- 30:42Speaker 1: had been parked outside of Ricksgate around ten forty am.
- 30:46Speaker 1: First mistake. A red Mini Cooper in the town of Claremore, Oklahoma.
- 30:51Speaker 1: How many of those do you think there are? They'd
- 30:55Speaker 1: almost be like, driving a red Mini Cooper around here,
- 30:58Speaker 1: you're gonna stick out like a sort thumb like it's
- 31:01Speaker 1: there's probably only one person on here. Well, you know
- 31:03Speaker 1: the Mini Cooper had its heyday. You know there for
- 31:06Speaker 1: a while, but it has since passed nobody.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Yeah, my dad had one.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Yes, they had the Yeah, I thought they were cute though.
- 31:12Speaker 1: I remember back then I was like, oh, I want
- 31:13Speaker 1: a Mini Cooper. Oh that's so cool. But now I'm
- 31:15Speaker 1: glad I didn't do that.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Yeah, because you'd still be driving and probably stuck with it,
- 31:19Speaker 2: still be paying on it.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Yes, but those were like a hot commodity, but not
- 31:24Speaker 1: in twenty eighteen.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Kind of like the PT Cruiser.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Oh no, the pet the PT Cruiser.
- 31:29Speaker 2: Didn't glad I didn't get one.
- 31:30Speaker 1: No, those were so hideous the.
- 31:31Speaker 2: People they were, but everybody loved them.
- 31:34Speaker 1: No, it's like a certain type of person that drives
- 31:36Speaker 1: a PT Cruiser, like someone who works in an it.
- 31:41Speaker 1: What I think of that of like a someone who
- 31:46Speaker 1: works in it. Possibly someone who works at a coffee shop,
- 31:53Speaker 1: Like that type would be driving a PET Cruiser current
- 31:57Speaker 1: day stew It's also the same people that drive those
- 32:01Speaker 1: like boxy like things, and they're always like Neon green
- 32:05Speaker 1: or something.
- 32:06Speaker 2: All those scions are those the.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Ones that are like real square.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Shaped, the ones you get at the Toyota dealership.
- 32:12Speaker 1: I don't remember I think they are anyways, they're always
- 32:15Speaker 1: like a crazy color like lime green or something like that. Anyway,
- 32:19Speaker 1: so he's he's They see this red Mini Cooper, uh,
- 32:23Speaker 1: pulled up around ten forty and just this is just
- 32:25Speaker 1: thirty minutes prior to the fire department being called to
- 32:28Speaker 1: the scene. Now, this being a more distinctive car like
- 32:32Speaker 1: we talked about, they start looking to see if anyone
- 32:34Speaker 1: has seen this car or has this car on a
- 32:37Speaker 1: surveillance camera. Because the Swan property is you gotta go
- 32:42Speaker 1: on like a major highway to get off the road
- 32:44Speaker 1: to go to to there, so there's like gas stations
- 32:47Speaker 1: and things like that. So they find footage of a
- 32:50Speaker 1: red Mini Cooper passing by a gas station and speeding
- 32:54Speaker 1: away from the Swan property. Now they can't get a
- 32:56Speaker 1: license plate number, so they continue to scour the area
- 32:59Speaker 1: for the car. Now, while they are looking for the
- 33:01Speaker 1: Mini Cooper, they get a call from a cemetery worker
- 33:05Speaker 1: stating that a red Mini Cooper was seen speeding away
- 33:09Speaker 1: from the cemetery on that day.
- 33:13Speaker 2: This is a terrible coincidence.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, this is almost like the Karen Reid trials.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Do How can someone be button dialed that many times?
- 33:21Speaker 1: You know? Butt dolls were a big deal back when
- 33:23Speaker 1: you had like a push button phone, but not on
- 33:25Speaker 1: an iPhone, you know, like when you had an old self,
- 33:30Speaker 1: like when cell phones used to have to like push
- 33:32Speaker 1: the buttons physically. I mean, I know you have to
- 33:35Speaker 1: physically hit the buttons on the iPhone, but like you
- 33:37Speaker 1: had to dial a number, but you could easily butt
- 33:40Speaker 1: dial someone because it hits that call and it would
- 33:42Speaker 1: go to your last call.
- 33:43Speaker 2: And then especially if you had a speed dial set
- 33:47Speaker 2: up too. Yeah, press one, press and hold one for
- 33:49Speaker 2: a Yeah, you can collaborate, you program that too.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Yeah. If this had been that when those phones around,
- 33:55Speaker 1: be like, yeah, they probably might have butt dialed or whatever.
- 33:57Speaker 1: But not today.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Yeah, kids, back on the day used to be able
- 34:02Speaker 2: to program one through nine for speed dialing your contacts.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Yeah. So they have now the red Mini Cooper out
- 34:09Speaker 1: at the cemetery. So police head out there and they
- 34:11Speaker 1: find that the original swan gravestone that had been moved
- 34:15Speaker 1: to the side. Uh huh was now kicked over. No, No,
- 34:20Speaker 1: this fucker's so dumb. He is so stupid.
- 34:24Speaker 2: He didn't do it. Nobody's so stupid.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Like, this can't be.
- 34:29Speaker 2: He's being set up. This can't be just like Karen
- 34:31Speaker 2: Reid was set up.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Kevin's being Kevin's being set up.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Yes, police are somehow sure this is related to Kevin.
- 34:41Speaker 2: On a hunch, they look up cars registered to him
- 34:45Speaker 2: and it includes a red Mini Cooper.
- 34:47Speaker 1: I mean, I don't think it took him that long
- 34:49Speaker 1: to like go from like talking to the neighbors and
- 34:51Speaker 1: then looking up Kevin like it. It wasn't like a
- 34:54Speaker 1: long time like this was pretty snippy snap, you know.
- 34:56Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure although it is Clairemore, Oklahoma, I don't
- 34:59Speaker 1: know how well.
- 35:00Speaker 2: They ain't had much to do obviously, so they had
- 35:02Speaker 2: to look shut up. They also found out that Kevin
- 35:05Speaker 2: had been charged with embezzlement at the bank that he
- 35:07Speaker 2: worked at at around the time he started harassing Rick
- 35:11Speaker 2: for money.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Yes, because he's up to his old ways of being
- 35:14Speaker 1: a grifter, being like sketchy.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Mm hmm. With this information, they go see Kevin and
- 35:19Speaker 2: he denies being in Claremore, but he's unable to really
- 35:24Speaker 2: explain the crime away or where he was or what
- 35:28Speaker 2: his alibi actually is.
- 35:30Speaker 1: But he did they did talk about he so they
- 35:33Speaker 1: were supposed to go to court that day, and apparently
- 35:35Speaker 1: he did show up but it was like he did
- 35:38Speaker 1: show up and he's like, oh, where's Rick or whatever,
- 35:41Speaker 1: you know, but it was at a different it was
- 35:43Speaker 1: later in the day, so it didn't it wasn't going
- 35:46Speaker 1: to help him, you know.
- 35:47Speaker 2: No, because it wasn't at the time that Rick was
- 35:49Speaker 2: being murdered. Yes, they then asked Kevin about any firearms
- 35:53Speaker 2: that he had, and he became combative.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Oh yeah, they said, he got in like he like
- 35:59Speaker 1: And they kept they kept saying in the show I
- 36:01Speaker 1: was watching, they kept saying, it's fatal, it's fatal family feuds. Anyways,
- 36:07Speaker 1: they kept saying, the guys the family was like, Kevin
- 36:12Speaker 1: was not a what is the word they used, basically
- 36:17Speaker 1: not one. You wouldn't He's not like tough, you know,
- 36:20Speaker 1: he's he's not one to get in a fight or
- 36:23Speaker 1: anything like that or anything that. So for him to
- 36:26Speaker 1: he was easily subdued by the police.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Well, he became combative and he was arrested for police interference.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Yeah, so they were able to at least like he's
- 36:38Speaker 1: an idiot, he's instead of them having to chase him
- 36:40Speaker 1: around and wait for him to speed that, he just
- 36:42Speaker 1: attacked the police and they were able to take him
- 36:44Speaker 1: in temporarily, you know, to hold him while they figured
- 36:46Speaker 1: this whole thing up.
- 36:47Speaker 2: They the investigation, so we went to Lee. They speak
- 36:50Speaker 2: to his wife and she tells police that he had
- 36:52Speaker 2: a new job and was at work that day, and
- 36:55Speaker 2: that he was an upstanding member of society.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Yes, she's I mean she knew he got was under
- 37:00Speaker 1: investigation for embezzlement charges at the Big I have thoughts
- 37:04Speaker 1: on this, bitch. Okay, her name's Alyssa spelled E l
- 37:07Speaker 1: I S s A, which is the first problem anyways.
- 37:13Speaker 2: With an E listeners, and they just punched out.
- 37:18Speaker 1: I feel like her name used to be spelled the
- 37:20Speaker 1: normal way. And then she was if I'll talk about
- 37:23Speaker 1: her later on, but and she changed it, you know.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Oh you think she changed it? Yeah, well I was
- 37:28Speaker 2: gonna say, you can't choose the name that you're born with.
- 37:30Speaker 1: No, she looks like she was or her parents just
- 37:32Speaker 1: knew who she was going to be.
- 37:37Speaker 2: Come on her main stage puts together for No.
- 37:40Speaker 1: She just seems like, oh, it's not it's not Alyssa,
- 37:43Speaker 1: it's Elissa. You know. No, It's like those people that
- 37:47Speaker 1: are like it's not uh, it's not Kristen, it's Kirsten,
- 37:54Speaker 1: which their name is Kirsten.
- 37:55Speaker 2: But I'm just saying, oh, yes, because you got a place.
- 37:57Speaker 2: They are in a different way. I know that.
- 37:58Speaker 1: But just like their parents, intention did that. Well, it's
- 38:00Speaker 1: kind of like our daughter's name though.
- 38:02Speaker 2: Yes, way to go.
- 38:05Speaker 1: Shutting on all these I know I did it myself,
- 38:08Speaker 1: but we also kind of knew who she was going
- 38:10Speaker 1: to be, and she's living up to.
- 38:11Speaker 2: That little business.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Stewart.
- 38:14Speaker 2: What I love her, dearly.
- 38:17Speaker 1: It's great. She's just four four, she's a four nato
- 38:22Speaker 1: as they call as they say it's due.
- 38:25Speaker 2: Getting back to my story, the wife thinks that Elissa
- 38:30Speaker 2: thinks that old Kevin is an upstanding member of society.
- 38:34Speaker 2: She does admit to police that Kevin has two gunshopsie,
- 38:41Speaker 2: whoopsie popsy, way to go, Elissa, one match the caliber
- 38:45Speaker 2: found of the weapon used at the crime scene. They
- 38:51Speaker 2: send the gun to off four. God, can you even
- 38:54Speaker 2: talk to I don't know. I might be having a stroke,
- 38:57Speaker 2: I might be drunk. I don't know what's going on.
- 38:59Speaker 2: They send the gun off gun off two ballistics to
- 39:02Speaker 2: be compared to what was found at the crime scene.
- 39:06Speaker 1: All right, So now that they've got that all going
- 39:08Speaker 1: and they've got talked to Kevin, got him in custody.
- 39:11Speaker 1: They were able to access Rick's will and they find
- 39:14Speaker 1: that there was a bit of a dig at old
- 39:16Speaker 1: Brandon and Kevin within the will. Brandon was gonna get
- 39:20Speaker 1: two dollars if Rick dies and Kevin would get one.
- 39:26Speaker 1: So he did like Brandon a little bit more, maybe
- 39:29Speaker 1: twice as much.
- 39:29Speaker 2: But that's how you get people to come by and
- 39:31Speaker 2: shit on your grave, Daley. You get them to go
- 39:34Speaker 2: to a will raating to tell them that they at
- 39:36Speaker 2: getting shit, and well they're at if they're telling them,
- 39:40Speaker 2: don't even come.
- 39:41Speaker 1: To the r No, he said he gave them two
- 39:43Speaker 1: dollars and one dollars to show that he liked Brandon
- 39:45Speaker 1: a little bit more and one dollars so they would
- 39:47Speaker 1: have to show up because they said they were going
- 39:49Speaker 1: to get their hopes up and say you did receive
- 39:50Speaker 1: something from his estate.
- 39:53Speaker 2: Yes, that's how you get your grave shit on it.
- 39:55Speaker 1: Rick didn't care. I guess two shits were given by Rick. No,
- 40:00Speaker 1: zero shits, wait, zero were given. Zero fucks were getting?
- 40:03Speaker 1: Two shits were So they want to make sure that
- 40:08Speaker 1: so they got Kevin ardy and they want to make
- 40:09Speaker 1: sure Brandon's not involved because obviously there were some issues
- 40:12Speaker 1: there as well. They speak to Brandon, but they didn't
- 40:15Speaker 1: see that same kind of hatred that Kevin had for Rick.
- 40:18Speaker 1: They couldn't see any evidence of that. Now, Brandon, obviously
- 40:21Speaker 1: they weren't. He wasn't a fan of Rick, but he wasn't.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Actively homicidal, yes, or.
- 40:27Speaker 1: Changing gravestones or doing things like that, Brandon, you know,
- 40:32Speaker 1: not wanting to be implicated with Kevin. He shows police
- 40:35Speaker 1: a photo that Kevin sent him with a shooting target
- 40:38Speaker 1: with the words rip Rick written on the bottom of it.
- 40:42Speaker 1: He's gone to the shooting range, you know, it's a
- 40:44Speaker 1: little outline of the person. And he said and he
- 40:47Speaker 1: sent him that, And he's like, so, I mean, I
- 40:49Speaker 1: don't know, I didn't do anything, but Kevin got a
- 40:52Speaker 1: crazy Yeah. They also find out that Kevin didn't actually
- 40:56Speaker 1: have a new job. He'd been lying to his wife
- 40:58Speaker 1: or his life was still question what his wife knew,
- 41:03Speaker 1: and that he was, you know, not at that new
- 41:05Speaker 1: job that day or anything like that like he told
- 41:08Speaker 1: supposedly told Elissa Elissa. Yeah. So yeah, So Kevin's a
- 41:13Speaker 1: liar all around and a psychopath so and a dumb
- 41:17Speaker 1: ass if you're going to actually shoot somebody, don't send
- 41:19Speaker 1: somebody a picture of a shooting range and put rip Rick,
- 41:23Speaker 1: and where's the people at the shooting range? Being like
- 41:24Speaker 1: this is a red flag? Okay, you can't put people's
- 41:28Speaker 1: names on the targets.
- 41:30Speaker 2: They could have stopped this, They.
- 41:31Speaker 1: Could have prevented this. Actually there's nothing. They could have
- 41:34Speaker 1: just told him not he can't go back here, you're crazy.
- 41:37Speaker 1: But yeah, that's like a like you can't do that,
- 41:40Speaker 1: you know.
- 41:42Speaker 2: Cops were able to get access to Kevin's Mini Cooper.
- 41:45Speaker 1: Which is also embarrassing ken a red Mini Cooper, and.
- 41:50Speaker 2: They find a smash cell phone and a key to
- 41:52Speaker 2: a safe deposit box. In that safe deposit box, they
- 41:57Speaker 2: find all those items that Rick document it as missing
- 42:01Speaker 2: in the phone. They were able to pull GPS data
- 42:04Speaker 2: shown that the phone had been nearby the crime scene.
- 42:07Speaker 2: They were also able to find deleted videos of a
- 42:10Speaker 2: body burning and video of the barn burning. This show
- 42:16Speaker 2: that Kevin not only killed Rick, but also filmed it.
- 42:19Speaker 2: Kevin Foster was arrested and charged with murder and pleaded
- 42:24Speaker 2: not guilty. If you can believe it, Yes, he was
- 42:28Speaker 2: scheduled to go on trial in November of twenty nineteen.
- 42:31Speaker 1: Now, in December of twenty eighteen, Rick's brother was cleaning
- 42:35Speaker 1: out that barn where the fire started and he finds
- 42:39Speaker 1: this game camera. Now, you don't know what a game.
- 42:42Speaker 1: Whenever they first said game camera, I was like, game camera,
- 42:46Speaker 1: like for a PlayStation, but it's not. It's it's a
- 42:51Speaker 1: I had InterRail camera. And then the guy had such
- 42:53Speaker 1: a thick accident I didn't have. I normally I do
- 42:56Speaker 1: watch with close captions because once you start, you can't stop.
- 43:00Speaker 1: And so when I were a close caption family, but
- 43:02Speaker 1: on my phone, the close captions weren't turned on, and
- 43:03Speaker 1: I could not He had such a thick accent. Stewart,
- 43:05Speaker 1: and I grew up in East Texas, like I can understand,
- 43:10Speaker 1: I know, But I also grew up in Oklahoma. I can.
- 43:14Speaker 1: I grew up for eight years there. I have a
- 43:17Speaker 1: birth certificate in Oklahoma. Stuart.
- 43:20Speaker 2: You said you grew up there, Okay.
- 43:22Speaker 1: Well I'm familiar with a thick accent, Stuart. I could
- 43:26Speaker 1: not understand what this guy was saying. So I had
- 43:28Speaker 1: turned the close capture on and it's like, oh, game camera,
- 43:31Speaker 1: and I'm like, that doesn't look like what kind of
- 43:32Speaker 1: game camera. I was thinking it was like a I
- 43:34Speaker 1: was like, oh, maybe a toy camera. And then I realized,
- 43:36Speaker 1: no game camera like for deer for a wildlife and
- 43:40Speaker 1: stuff like that. But it didn't make sense to me
- 43:42Speaker 1: because it was in the garage. I'm like, why is
- 43:44Speaker 1: it in the garage or whatever?
- 43:45Speaker 2: Well, that's where you put it.
- 43:45Speaker 1: When No, he had it set up to operate in
- 43:50Speaker 1: the garage. So he had it set up operating guard
- 43:53Speaker 1: because of all the issues he was having with Kevin Stuart,
- 43:58Speaker 1: so he had moved this game camera inside to catch
- 44:00Speaker 1: any activity that would go on in the garage. So
- 44:04Speaker 1: he's not sure if this is still working or not
- 44:05Speaker 1: because obviously was in a fire. He turns it into police.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Now they are able to pull up the footage caught
- 44:12Speaker 1: by the game camera. Now this is so this was
- 44:14Speaker 1: so creepy on the documentary that they have this footage
- 44:17Speaker 1: and they like show you it or whatever. So it's
- 44:18Speaker 1: a game camera, so it doesn't record like how many
- 44:21Speaker 1: of her you know, like how you get a camera
- 44:23Speaker 1: and it's it does how many how many frames per
- 44:26Speaker 1: second or whatever, and like the real high quality ones
- 44:29Speaker 1: have more frames per seconds if you will.
- 44:33Speaker 2: No and these are motion activated too.
- 44:36Speaker 1: And they're just yeah, they're just you taking quick little
- 44:40Speaker 1: photos basically is almost like it's not continuous or anything.
- 44:44Speaker 1: So you see Rick enter and turn on the light.
- 44:47Speaker 1: You see his back and you see him head. They
- 44:49Speaker 1: know where the RV was sitting, and he turns, and
- 44:51Speaker 1: the RV is not actually in the video, but the
- 44:54Speaker 1: entry into the RV is so you can't see it,
- 44:56Speaker 1: but you see him turn and the only way, the
- 44:58Speaker 1: only place to go is in the RV. Well a
- 45:01Speaker 1: minute and twelve seconds later you see a foot enter
- 45:05Speaker 1: a brown loafer stew not a loafer, yes, and and
- 45:09Speaker 1: a man in an ill fitting suit walks in. It's
- 45:13Speaker 1: freaking Kevin, and so it's taking these like snap photos.
- 45:16Speaker 1: And then they it snaps a photo and you can
- 45:18Speaker 1: see the gun in his hand like it was real
- 45:20Speaker 1: creepy because this is like a murder, like they have
- 45:22Speaker 1: basically footage of this murder like about to occur. So
- 45:26Speaker 1: then you see so then all of a sudden, Kevin's
- 45:28Speaker 1: standing there with the gun, and then you see the
- 45:30Speaker 1: next snap he's moving tore out of the frame towards
- 45:33Speaker 1: the RV, and then you never see Kevin or I mean,
- 45:37Speaker 1: you never see Rick leave again because they found his
- 45:40Speaker 1: body in the barn, but they believed he was killed
- 45:42Speaker 1: in the RV and then it burned and then it
- 45:43Speaker 1: fell out in the barn. Anyways, so this kind of
- 45:46Speaker 1: confirms all of that. And then you see Kevin come
- 45:51Speaker 1: back into the frame. He has a glove on and
- 45:53Speaker 1: he's holding a trash bag of items he stole. He
- 45:58Speaker 1: leaves with those, he comes back into the frame, he's
- 46:01Speaker 1: got gas cans like this, I mean, and then all
- 46:04Speaker 1: of a sudden, next thing, you know, you seem lee
- 46:07Speaker 1: or you see him walking away, and then the next
- 46:09Speaker 1: flame or the next frame, it's just like red flames
- 46:12Speaker 1: and then smoke being captured or whatever. So, I mean,
- 46:16Speaker 1: they have the whole crime caught on camera.
- 46:20Speaker 2: Sounds like a pretty durable trail camera.
- 46:23Speaker 1: Yeah it was I don't know what Brandon was, but
- 46:25Speaker 1: if you're into that didn't that's the one to buy.
- 46:29Speaker 1: So yeah, they got this whole footage and it is
- 46:31Speaker 1: kind of creepy because you just see this foot come
- 46:34Speaker 1: in like right right after Rick. And you know, if
- 46:37Speaker 1: Rick had no Rick didn't know he was there, because
- 46:39Speaker 1: Rick would have never invited him into He didn't want
- 46:41Speaker 1: him there, you know, after the whole grave thing and
- 46:44Speaker 1: everything that he so he was just watching him and
- 46:46Speaker 1: following him.
- 46:47Speaker 2: Yeah, police show this evidence too. Listen Lissa Foster, Kevin's wife,
- 46:55Speaker 2: and up to this point she's telling police that he
- 46:58Speaker 2: didn't do it, hand done it and hand done. She
- 47:01Speaker 2: now she's emotional when she sees this footage, and they
- 47:05Speaker 2: have her call Kevin in jail to basically try and
- 47:10Speaker 2: get some kind of confession out of him on record,
- 47:12Speaker 2: just of her.
- 47:13Speaker 1: So this is where I have my problem with Ilisa. Okay,
- 47:16Speaker 1: she claims that Kevin's this upstanding citizen, which she knows
- 47:19Speaker 1: he's not. She has to be well aware of the
- 47:22Speaker 1: feud between Kevin and Rick. I mean, there's no way
- 47:26Speaker 1: to not be. She also has to be aware of
- 47:30Speaker 1: why the feud and that she's got to be in
- 47:33Speaker 1: Kevin's Kevin's head back there going, well, he's got all
- 47:35Speaker 1: that money that you've got to be entitled to some
- 47:37Speaker 1: of that for your mom, right, Because when they.
- 47:39Speaker 2: Put as Kevin and I ain't getting the shit that
- 47:42Speaker 2: I want. I needed you to go get this money
- 47:45Speaker 2: from Rick.
- 47:45Speaker 1: Let me tell you why I believe this. So they
- 47:48Speaker 1: have Alyssa on the on the so they recorded her
- 47:50Speaker 1: talking to Rick, and I guess whenever they do call
- 47:54Speaker 1: she I think she was calling from her house though
- 47:56Speaker 1: or something, so I don't or something. And they have
- 47:58Speaker 1: Rick on the camera in the jail or whatever, and
- 48:01Speaker 1: so they have them like side by side. I mean
- 48:03Speaker 1: it's Kevin. Yeah, they have them side by side. Alissa.
- 48:06Speaker 1: She's got these long ass red fingernails, this bleach blonde hair,
- 48:11Speaker 1: and these fucking lips that have all these fillers in them. Well,
- 48:14Speaker 1: Kevin's broke all that shit cost a lot of money.
- 48:17Speaker 1: Don't even try to tell me that Alissa did. Wasn't
- 48:20Speaker 1: aware that he was trying to Melissa. We all know
- 48:24Speaker 1: it was Alissa until you became like Elissa, you don't
- 48:28Speaker 1: even try to tell me. She was not trying to
- 48:30Speaker 1: encourage Kevin to go after this money, and she probably
- 48:32Speaker 1: knew he had something to do with it. And then
- 48:34Speaker 1: whenever she got finally confronted with the actual footage, she's like,
- 48:37Speaker 1: oh wait, I can't be implicated in this.
- 48:40Speaker 2: So yeah, she has shit sounds serious, Yes, I got yeah.
- 48:45Speaker 1: But she had the fake red fingernails like long, like
- 48:48Speaker 1: clickety clack, and then the blonde hair, the bleach one
- 48:50Speaker 1: hair and then those lip fillers is where I was like,
- 48:52Speaker 1: and she had the ones that looked like they were
- 48:54Speaker 1: in her cheek too, like that Jeff Bezos' wife, knew
- 48:57Speaker 1: wife had You know that loo looked terrible, But yeah,
- 49:01Speaker 1: she looked high maintenance.
- 49:02Speaker 2: I don't know, why are you trying to get Jeff
- 49:04Speaker 2: Bezos to come after us?
- 49:05Speaker 1: She looked very high maintenance.
- 49:08Speaker 2: Lauren Sanchez is going to hear this and be like,
- 49:10Speaker 2: crush them.
- 49:13Speaker 1: He could, he could, he probably could, Like think of
- 49:15Speaker 1: all those nice things I said about his ex wife.
- 49:17Speaker 1: She might come and save us.
- 49:20Speaker 2: You think she's only got thirty eight billion dollars. What
- 49:23Speaker 2: can she do?
- 49:25Speaker 1: I can't crush Jeff Bezos. But you know he's only
- 49:28Speaker 1: the third richest man. It's Elon Musk right now. I know,
- 49:32Speaker 1: I know they did. They dabble back and.
- 49:33Speaker 2: Forth, they'd switch depending on the stock process.
- 49:36Speaker 1: It's Elon current day. Today it's Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg
- 49:41Speaker 1: and then Jeff Bezos. Jeff Jeff Bezos gives off tacky money.
- 49:46Speaker 2: You know, new money vibes.
- 49:47Speaker 1: New money vibes, and I'm not digging it, like yo,
- 49:51Speaker 1: that wedding I felt was very tacky.
- 49:53Speaker 2: I got a triple white trailer, yes, and my reclining
- 49:59Speaker 2: cash got a beer holder.
- 50:01Speaker 1: Yeah. So Jeff Bezovs gives off new many vibes.
- 50:05Speaker 2: We must be the new money because Marmacloann I got
- 50:07Speaker 2: a beer holder too.
- 50:08Speaker 1: Well. I'm not a fan of couches with cup holders,
- 50:11Speaker 1: but I gave in for now. Once these children are
- 50:14Speaker 1: older and we can have nice things again. I don't
- 50:18Speaker 1: want a couch with cup holders. Stewart. I think it's
- 50:21Speaker 1: so tacky not to say anybody out there a couple hold.
- 50:28Speaker 1: We currently have them. They're nice to have, but I
- 50:30Speaker 1: would like.
- 50:31Speaker 2: A I'm going to tell Eric Church what you said about.
- 50:34Speaker 1: It's the couch we have from rooms to the character
- 50:37Speaker 1: that I would say, that's a that's a good couch.
- 50:39Speaker 1: So if you have a family, this thing is sturdy
- 50:41Speaker 1: like the cats. I mean they have got a little
- 50:43Speaker 1: a few call marks in it. But it cleans up
- 50:45Speaker 1: real nice every week when we clean it.
- 50:47Speaker 2: Put that leather en leaner on there it do it
- 50:50Speaker 2: do all right?
- 50:51Speaker 1: We've gotten off tracks we have.
- 50:52Speaker 2: We have Elisa. Elissa is emotional when she sees the footage.
- 50:58Speaker 2: We already said that she tells Kevin that they have
- 51:03Speaker 2: footage of him lighting Rick on fire. Kevin says it
- 51:07Speaker 2: is all manufactured AI. It's all AI yep, And he
- 51:12Speaker 2: says that they can't discuss it on the phone. She
- 51:15Speaker 2: says she knows that he did it and that he's
- 51:18Speaker 2: not getting.
- 51:19Speaker 1: Out of jail, and she's like, I gotta get out here.
- 51:21Speaker 2: I gotta get it here, I gotta go.
- 51:22Speaker 1: I need I have needs. I need to go find
- 51:24Speaker 1: a new husband.
- 51:24Speaker 2: I got to find a new husband with money.
- 51:27Speaker 1: Before this lip filler needs to be replaced. I need
- 51:31Speaker 1: to go down.
- 51:32Speaker 2: On November sixth, twenty nineteen, Kevin still was pleading not guilty,
- 51:37Speaker 2: despite all the evidence and even the ballistics coming back
- 51:41Speaker 2: as a match to the gun that he owned. After
- 51:44Speaker 2: an eight day trial, the jury finds Kevin Foster guilty
- 51:48Speaker 2: on all charges and he sent us to life in
- 51:50Speaker 2: prison without the possibility of parole. Yay jury, yay yo, blaha, no.
- 51:57Speaker 1: No, no, but yes, but well, actually the judge is good.
- 52:02Speaker 1: Harry Oklahoma is questionable because whenever they said, they said
- 52:06Speaker 1: he was sentenced to forty five years on want and
- 52:08Speaker 1: I turned it down. I was like, how the fuck
- 52:09Speaker 1: is this guy not in jail, either with the death
- 52:12Speaker 1: penalty or with life without pearl. Well apparently, so then
- 52:15Speaker 1: I started looking and some one article said he did
- 52:18Speaker 1: plead guilty, but he went into a trial for eight days.
- 52:20Speaker 1: I don't know if he like played guilty at the
- 52:24Speaker 1: end after it looks so bad, you.
- 52:26Speaker 2: Complete guilty at any point in the.
- 52:27Speaker 1: Track, like maybe the jury was out, maybe the right
- 52:32Speaker 1: I don't know. Anyways, in Oklahoma, a life sentence is
- 52:35Speaker 1: only forty five years.
- 52:37Speaker 2: It's like some European countries do they give you a
- 52:39Speaker 2: life sentence, but it's not like it's like twenty five years.
- 52:41Speaker 1: I think Candadate's like twenty five years or something like that.
- 52:43Speaker 1: So then that guy that like tried to eat people
- 52:45Speaker 1: on the bus, Yeah, and then like try to eat
- 52:47Speaker 1: him or something like that, he's out now.
- 52:49Speaker 2: They sent him to a mental institution and.
- 52:51Speaker 1: Then he was out like in like a couple of years. Anyways,
- 52:55Speaker 1: is only forty five years. But the judge did do
- 52:57Speaker 1: right because he had all these other charges like desecration
- 52:59Speaker 1: of a bus, theft, things like that, so he stacked
- 53:02Speaker 1: all these other charges and he didn't do it concurrently.
- 53:04Speaker 1: He did it consecutively. So even if he goes out,
- 53:07Speaker 1: he still has another fifty two years to serve for
- 53:10Speaker 1: these others, which I'm sure those others do have stipulations
- 53:13Speaker 1: where he could get out early.
- 53:15Speaker 2: Good time and all that. Both Kevin reduce it down.
- 53:18Speaker 1: Based on what Kevin. He had his little glasses and
- 53:21Speaker 1: his little like nerdy haircut, and it's like a little
- 53:24Speaker 1: I looked up his prison photo and it's not been
- 53:27Speaker 1: it's been rough on him. You know, think you rough.
- 53:31Speaker 2: I think he got the nickname too, hole Kevin in
- 53:33Speaker 2: the showers. Yes, oh two hole Kevin.
- 53:37Speaker 1: It is like phone call on the on when he
- 53:40Speaker 1: was talking to his wife was like real high pitch,
- 53:42Speaker 1: like I just don't think he's doing well in prison
- 53:45Speaker 1: right now.
- 53:45Speaker 2: Anybody putting money in his commisartion. Yeah there's the probably
- 53:49Speaker 2: ain't got a wife.
- 53:50Speaker 1: No. And Brandon, his brother, already liked me like here,
- 53:54Speaker 1: I don't want anything to do with this. I was
- 53:55Speaker 1: only gonna get two dollars.
- 53:57Speaker 2: Here is uh, here's your one dollar hair my two dollars.
- 54:01Speaker 2: Enjoy your commissary.
- 54:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know where all the money went. Of Rix,
- 54:05Speaker 1: though his brother was out at the he was the
- 54:08Speaker 1: one that found the camera. So I'm assuming things went
- 54:11Speaker 1: to his brother that uh, because he was the one
- 54:14Speaker 1: out that was able to access the barn to go
- 54:16Speaker 1: look for the camera and things like that.
- 54:18Speaker 2: So reminds me I need to come up, but it
- 54:20Speaker 2: will cut you out, so you don't murder me me.
- 54:23Speaker 2: Oh please, I know I got three kids. You're not.
- 54:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't murder You're not even worth anything dead.
- 54:31Speaker 1: I need you alive, but you can't kill me because
- 54:33Speaker 1: I do have life insurance. But I'm still worth more
- 54:36Speaker 1: after a couple of years, I'm still worth more alive
- 54:38Speaker 1: than the dead.
- 54:40Speaker 2: It is it worth the trouble though.
- 54:42Speaker 1: Yes, Stewart, I gave you poot.
- 54:46Speaker 2: Little not that poot, not that kind of poot.
- 54:51Speaker 1: Oh. We call our kids. The oldest one we call
- 54:52Speaker 1: her Shmunky, and the middle one we call him tooty,
- 54:55Speaker 1: and then the little baby we call her poot. So
- 54:57Speaker 1: it's Smunky, Tooty, and poot. So if you yours mentioned.
- 55:01Speaker 2: Them, i'll's have part in the first one. I had
- 55:06Speaker 2: no part in the last two.
- 55:07Speaker 1: Funky, Touty and poot.
- 55:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 55:09Speaker 1: I usually come up with the nickname and then it
- 55:11Speaker 1: just like I keep saying it enough that everybody that
- 55:13Speaker 1: eventually catches on and now they're schmunky, tuty and poot. So,
- 55:17Speaker 1: but she is a poot. You know, she's poot all right,
- 55:21Speaker 1: So that is our case for this week. Kevin's still
- 55:25Speaker 1: in jail.
- 55:26Speaker 2: Like we said, Well, I'm not worried about Kevin getting
- 55:29Speaker 2: in jail.
- 55:30Speaker 1: I'm not. I'm worried about Alyssa. Now I don't know
- 55:32Speaker 1: what she's up to.
- 55:33Speaker 2: But e listen, listen.
- 55:38Speaker 1: All right, STU, Do you have a y'all need Jesus
- 55:40Speaker 1: for this week?
- 55:41Speaker 2: I do. And there were some slim pickings so and
- 55:44Speaker 2: they're really really short.
- 55:46Speaker 1: Who was slim? And who was pickens?
- 55:51Speaker 2: Shut up?
- 55:53Speaker 1: I don't have any more fun facts for you, guys,
- 55:55Speaker 1: because I have really been just in work mode. I
- 55:58Speaker 1: have been listening to some ADDI your books.
- 56:03Speaker 2: There there. Tell me tell us I've.
- 56:08Speaker 1: Gotten into the dark romance? Uh genre?
- 56:13Speaker 2: Yes, what's dark romance?
- 56:16Speaker 1: I should just read I should just read you the
- 56:18Speaker 1: trigger warnings at the front of the book.
- 56:20Speaker 2: You like reading some gray or some ship.
- 56:22Speaker 1: Oh it's worse than that.
- 56:23Speaker 2: Why am I not getting.
- 56:24Speaker 1: Any It's worse than that.
- 56:27Speaker 2: They must not excite you.
- 56:28Speaker 1: The trigger If anybody who listens or reads this book.
- 56:31Speaker 1: Just think the trigger warnings of lights out.
- 56:34Speaker 2: That's what's lights out.
- 56:37Speaker 1: It's a book stoo. I did listen to the next book,
- 56:40Speaker 1: Caught Up, and I did not enjoy that one nearly
- 56:42Speaker 1: as much. It wasn't my thing. But the first one was.
- 56:47Speaker 2: Why am I not enjoying the benefits of this?
- 56:50Speaker 1: So light? It's dark romance, meaning like sometimes it's it's
- 56:54Speaker 1: the main characters have some like it's a bit gray
- 56:58Speaker 1: area or not even gray, just like full on like
- 57:02Speaker 1: you shouldn't do that because it's illegal. So the one
- 57:04Speaker 1: guy is like a like stalking the girl, but then
- 57:07Speaker 1: she's like into it.
- 57:11Speaker 2: Oh, this is like some some Penthouse forums.
- 57:15Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's in books. So anyways, there's a whole
- 57:17Speaker 1: dark romance category. So sometimes most of the time I
- 57:19Speaker 1: listen to like mysteries or thrillers and things like that.
- 57:22Speaker 1: But then sometimes I listen to you know.
- 57:24Speaker 2: Thrillas kid, god woman.
- 57:28Speaker 1: Stuart, whatever, you married it?
- 57:30Speaker 2: How come I have no benefits? You did?
- 57:33Speaker 1: You have received the benefits three children?
- 57:37Speaker 2: Yes?
- 57:38Speaker 1: All right, you got your story points. I got you
- 57:42Speaker 1: were just waiting to.
- 57:43Speaker 2: See I'm waiting to say how far this dark romance?
- 57:45Speaker 2: I didn't know nothing about no dark romance. I heard
- 57:47Speaker 2: a romance.
- 57:48Speaker 1: I'll read you the trigger warnings.
- 57:50Speaker 2: All right, Why don't you just read a chapter?
- 57:53Speaker 1: No, we don't want to get banned band from what.
- 57:58Speaker 1: I don't know. I feel like Alice will do differently called.
- 58:00Speaker 2: The cost Alice won't be listening this far into their
- 58:03Speaker 2: No Alice right.
- 58:04Speaker 1: Now has she doesn't even listen to the podcast anymore,
- 58:06Speaker 1: but she has heard how how we're making light and
- 58:11Speaker 1: inappropriate we are. She can just sense it, and she's
- 58:14Speaker 1: already writing her next review. She didn't even have to listen.
- 58:16Speaker 1: She's just like, I know, I know those.
- 58:21Speaker 2: All right, go ahead, Okay. I had to go to
- 58:25Speaker 2: a different website altogether to find all these other things.
- 58:29Speaker 1: Similar how I had to go to a different website
- 58:31Speaker 1: to find lights out.
- 58:33Speaker 2: Really No, it's a dark web, yes, incognito. Different side
- 58:39Speaker 2: of TikTok incognito.
- 58:41Speaker 1: What Yeah, they talk about this on tik talk.
- 58:43Speaker 2: Oh my god, I need to I need to get
- 58:46Speaker 2: in there and set some permissions on our router.
- 58:48Speaker 1: There's a TikTok for everybody.
- 58:50Speaker 2: I'm going to set some permissions on these phones for you.
- 58:54Speaker 2: You can't go down these.
- 58:55Speaker 1: Rabbit holes Okay, cool on idiot.
- 58:57Speaker 2: Criminal of the day. This is coming to us from
- 59:01Speaker 2: one on one wrif it's the uh, the Honk of
- 59:04Speaker 2: Honker Show somewhere up there and wherever, just to give.
- 59:08Speaker 1: Them credit for the Honk of Honka.
- 59:11Speaker 2: Show Morning Zoo Crew or some shit. What the horns
- 59:15Speaker 2: were they?
- 59:15Speaker 1: I can't believe those radio shows still exist as morning shows.
- 59:20Speaker 2: What what's wrong with morning shows? Well, there's just like
- 59:22Speaker 2: some of them are terrible. Okay. A nineteen year old
- 59:27Speaker 2: guy is in some trouble after carjacking a woman driving
- 59:30Speaker 2: for a ride share company Jeremiah Bender. Charles ordered to
- 59:35Speaker 2: lift ride back in October. According to reports, Once he
- 59:39Speaker 2: got to the destinations, that's when things took a turn.
- 59:43Speaker 2: Charles punched the female driver in the head, arm, and stomach.
- 59:46Speaker 2: While being continuously hit, the woman jumped out of the car.
- 59:50Speaker 2: It was at this point that Charles hopped into the
- 59:52Speaker 2: driver's seat and took off with the woman's toilet of Corolla,
- 59:56Speaker 2: never to be seen again. Now it wasn't hard for
- 59:59Speaker 2: police to track Charles down. He booked the lift ride
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: through his own account with his real name. A subpoena
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: to the lyft company gave cops all the information, all
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: of his information, and they tracked him down. They even
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: found the victim's car near his home. That's one. Since
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: they're so short, I'll give you a second idiot criminal
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: of the day. A drunk dad reported his kids missing Stewart.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: Yes, shouldn't this be safe for the patriar?
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: Maybe? A dad in Connecticut called cops to report his
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: kid missing after he popped into a grocery store and
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: they weren't in the car when he got back. Dumb, dumb, dum, dumb.
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: But it turned out he was drunk and he didn't
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: realize that he forgot the kids at home.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: Oh Jesus.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: He was arrested on several charges.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: It's not funny. He should not be driving drunk to
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: the store. He could really, you're also going to bring
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: your kids along for the ride, but.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: You were so drunk you forgot them. Which, yeah, the.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: Kids, Sally were probably how old were the kids, did
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: it say?
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: Sane? That's why they're so short, I've read too. Well.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: Thankfully, home they're probably safe. Even if they were little.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: They were safer at home than in the car with
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: the drunk driving dead.
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know what the mom did hopefully she
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: got rid of this.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: Well maybe she was. Maybe it was like a custody situation,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: you know, and she had kind of like that poor
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: lady that had I can't believe that judge let that
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: gave that guy visitation that was didn't even have a home,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: like caught that home bitch.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: But I'm sure he's killed himself by now. You think, yeah,
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: he was unstable, he had like I think they said
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: he had PTSD and things like that. He slowly like spiraled.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: But the point is is that yes he's spiral.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: But the judgment of his car, they judged, they.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: Judge would have not allowed and if they if he
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: did want to allow visitation, the dad should have had
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: to go to a visitation center. Like everybody else that
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: is unstable, they have to go to a visitation center
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: and be monitored the whole time. Why would you.
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: Let them because this judge, I mean, and you can't
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: even sue this judge. They're like, oh, I'm a judge.
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: I know, I got a mirror to two.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like that same judge that gave that kid
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: that affluenza or whatever, the drunk driving because he was written.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: Yeah, oh he's rich. He's never had any responsibilities.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: He has affluenza. This is not his fault. This is
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: the parent's fault.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: Oh two months, you're free to go.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: Yeah, anyways, we digress. So all right, Well that is
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: it for us. We are going to record a little
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: something for the Patreon, a little our thoughts on Karen.
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: Reid, some dark romance chapters.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: And some uh maybe i'll read the trigger warnings for
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: you on there.
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: Oh, I can't wait.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: Maybe I'll do that, and then.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: Then we're going to make a fourth child.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: No, we're gonna uh. And then maybe we'll talk about
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: swim lessons because it has been quite the quite yes,
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: quite the ride with the with old two d Sonny
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: get you.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: It's a thirty minute class. I asked.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: If you like that MCA pool is filled with.
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: Pea, just just go.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: It's anyway. We'll talk about it, all right. So I
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: think that's it for us, and we will hopefully be
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: back week back next week on time. And by on time,
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: I mean by not Saturday, maybe Thursday or Friday.
