- 0:05Speaker 1: Drama, Darling Drama, Darling Drama, Darling.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Hello, Darlings, Hello, darlings. Well, Emily and I are here
- 0:25Speaker 2: and high AM's hello. We are here with a somber
- 0:31Speaker 2: look on our face and a very heavy heart for
- 0:34Speaker 2: one Mary m Cosby. As I'm sure you all heard,
- 0:39Speaker 2: her son passed away on Monday night and the police
- 0:43Speaker 2: were called and it was the potential drug overdose, a
- 0:50Speaker 2: potential overdose, but upon later discovery, they've now opened up
- 0:56Speaker 2: death investigation, so it is pending. The death has not
- 1:00Speaker 2: a cause of death has not been officially determined. This
- 1:06Speaker 2: is heavy, you guys, so so heavy and incredibly tragic.
- 1:10Speaker 2: We've never seen this before, and I know all the
- 1:13Speaker 2: fans of Bravo are like really really sad. Today Andy
- 1:17Speaker 2: posted something and so we're all just you know, with
- 1:22Speaker 2: Mary in our hearts, right MS, We're just.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Sorry, Yeah, devastating, It's awful. I can't believe it.
- 1:29Speaker 2: I mean, it's it's really shocking, shocking, shocking news and
- 1:32Speaker 2: extremely sad.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, and we feel like we know these people,
- 1:39Speaker 1: all of our housewives, but like I really can't imagine
- 1:43Speaker 1: what she's going through right now. So even though we're like, oh, Mary,
- 1:47Speaker 1: Mary and it's like, I have no idea, it's just
- 1:51Speaker 1: start breaking.
- 1:52Speaker 2: So we just send really good vibes her way. Yeah yeah,
- 1:57Speaker 2: what a world, man, What a world.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:01Speaker 2: So today we're going to be talking about below Deck
- 2:05Speaker 2: down Under, but we also want to just touch quickly
- 2:07Speaker 2: on America's Next Top Model, the Reality Check documentary on
- 2:14Speaker 2: Netflix that Tyra Banks was in fact a producer of.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Did you know that executive producer? Well, I knew it
- 2:22Speaker 1: was her idea. I mean she was at the heart
- 2:26Speaker 1: of it.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Yeah, so that was interesting. You know, I also saw
- 2:34Speaker 2: the news. This was on Headline News. I'm kidding. So
- 2:39Speaker 2: coming up, there's going to be another documentary about Tyra
- 2:44Speaker 2: Banks and about America's Next Top Model, and I believe
- 2:47Speaker 2: it's going to be out on like March eleventh. I
- 2:50Speaker 2: want to say on e it's called Dirty Rotten Scandals.
- 2:55Speaker 2: They're going to be there's going to be three separate episodes.
- 2:59Speaker 2: The Doctor Phil Show is one, America's Next Top mop
- 3:04Speaker 2: America's Next Top Model is another, and The Price Is
- 3:07Speaker 2: Right is the third.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Oh interesting, you know what good that they're doing Doctor Phil. Honestly,
- 3:17Speaker 1: I mean like I don't know what I'm frustrated with
- 3:21Speaker 1: just this takedown this. You know, I know that Tyra
- 3:26Speaker 1: Banks deserves a lot of the shit that she's getting,
- 3:30Speaker 1: but I'm also like, can we spread the wealth a little?
- 3:35Speaker 3: I agree? I agree.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Well, The thing is, I think Tyra the reason why
- 3:40Speaker 2: she probably wanted to get as they say, ahead of it,
- 3:46Speaker 2: even though it kind of seems like it's a little behind,
- 3:48Speaker 2: is that during the pandemic, as we saw from this documentary,
- 3:52Speaker 2: it was like a whole rewatch thing and all these
- 3:54Speaker 2: people from a different generation who were watching America's Next
- 3:58Speaker 2: Top Model that had never seen it before, and they
- 4:00Speaker 2: were in shock at what they saw. We're so far
- 4:04Speaker 2: removed because that's then and this is now. We've left
- 4:06Speaker 2: that behind. We didn't remember, we don't know, and now
- 4:11Speaker 2: it's been exposed again. Of course, that show does not
- 4:14Speaker 2: hold up to today's standards, and so now she has
- 4:18Speaker 2: something to say for it. So much of the episode,
- 4:22Speaker 2: so much of the actual documentary was yeah, you know,
- 4:29Speaker 2: hindsight is twenty twenty, and I just really, you know,
- 4:32Speaker 2: life is hard, and I'm not quite sorry for that,
- 4:37Speaker 2: but I will get to something that I might be
- 4:39Speaker 2: sorry for at some point that you know, the wardrobe,
- 4:48Speaker 2: you know, fitting for covering herself up in a storm,
- 4:52Speaker 2: you know, a basically a trench coat, a cinched up
- 4:55Speaker 2: trench coat, just armored up, ready for things to fly
- 5:00Speaker 2: at her, and she's not going to push back. You know.
- 5:03Speaker 2: I think she lost her chance to turn this into
- 5:08Speaker 2: something good. You know how It's like she wanted to
- 5:12Speaker 2: do something good initially, I think at the beginning in
- 5:15Speaker 2: the inception of America's Next Top Model, with wanting to
- 5:21Speaker 2: use that platform that she has as a model to
- 5:24Speaker 2: open it up for women of all different sizes and colors.
- 5:29Speaker 2: And then of course it shifted into not really that,
- 5:35Speaker 2: and I think perhaps her motivation was there for that,
- 5:40Speaker 2: and then it really just went and jumped the shark
- 5:45Speaker 2: and went so dirty. But now with this and things
- 5:50Speaker 2: being exposed about the show, looking back, I think that
- 5:53Speaker 2: she could have, as she says in the documentary, she
- 5:56Speaker 2: loves to pivot. She really could have pivoted in a
- 5:59Speaker 2: different direct instead of just shielding and like letting, you know, bouncing,
- 6:05Speaker 2: trying to bounce everything off. Obviously, her lawyer is telling
- 6:10Speaker 2: her differently, because if she admits, then she could there
- 6:15Speaker 2: could be a potential lawsuit.
- 6:16Speaker 1: I suppose maybe I would think the statues of limitations
- 6:20Speaker 1: on some of that stuff would be long gone.
- 6:23Speaker 2: I wonder because a lot of people are speaking out.
- 6:25Speaker 2: I mean, there are other contestants that have books that
- 6:30Speaker 2: are being interviewed that are, you know, mentioning in it,
- 6:35Speaker 2: mentioning it all, including Ken Muck, who has no idea Jesus.
- 6:42Speaker 1: See, that's just it. I'm just like, you know, and
- 6:46Speaker 1: the Jays too. I'm kind of like, you can't play
- 6:49Speaker 1: this upbeat music under the jas and Ken Mock when
- 6:53Speaker 1: they're talking about being a part of and saying some
- 6:57Speaker 1: fucking crazy ass shit and laughing it off and the music.
- 7:00Speaker 1: It's dramatic when Tyra talks and it's like the weight
- 7:06Speaker 1: of the world is on her decisions when we know
- 7:09Speaker 1: that there was a lot of people making decisions, including
- 7:12Speaker 1: Les Moonvez who's been canceled. Right, But I mean, I guess, like,
- 7:17Speaker 1: I don't want to be a Tyra apologist, but I
- 7:21Speaker 1: have to say, watching this, I got I looked real
- 7:24Speaker 1: inward because as a viewer, Oh yeah, I watched the
- 7:30Speaker 1: first cycle or two, and honestly, I didn't stop watching
- 7:35Speaker 1: because I had a problem with it. I stopped watching
- 7:37Speaker 1: because you know, like I just stopped watching Life Happen, right,
- 7:42Speaker 1: But you know what, like I remember like thinking like, oh, yeah,
- 7:45Speaker 1: it's kind of harsh, but it's really funny and.
- 7:49Speaker 2: That's your business, Like that's the business. Well that was
- 7:53Speaker 2: what we don't know what it's told.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think it really was the business. I
- 7:57Speaker 1: think that was the cat like that was how they
- 7:59Speaker 1: could get a with a lot, like you're going to
- 8:01Speaker 1: hear this from some asshole in the business. But at
- 8:05Speaker 1: the same time, like I remember Tyr sticking up for
- 8:08Speaker 1: these girls and feeling like it was almost wholesome. I mean, yeah,
- 8:13Speaker 1: that's how bad shit crazy we were.
- 8:16Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 8:19Speaker 1: And like the fact that I can watch this now
- 8:21Speaker 1: and watch thirty seconds and be like this is so wrong.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I wouldn't have any Like that's.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Good that we have perspective on it and we've somehow
- 8:32Speaker 2: in some way evolved. But you know, you and I
- 8:34Speaker 2: were talking about this because look, we watch reality television
- 8:38Speaker 2: now and it's pretty fucked up. It's very fucked up,
- 8:42Speaker 2: and so like in ten years, are we going to
- 8:44Speaker 2: be like we had a whole podcast on this, Like I, yes,
- 8:47Speaker 2: my whole life was like revolved around this. Maybe I
- 8:50Speaker 2: don't know, you know, in light of all of these
- 8:54Speaker 2: people and I you know, victims of America's Next Top
- 8:58Speaker 2: Model speaking out, it is terrible what they went through.
- 9:01Speaker 2: I mean, it really was abuse, and I think there
- 9:04Speaker 2: was a lot that wasn't shown. I saw I saw
- 9:08Speaker 2: a model who has a book out talk about when
- 9:14Speaker 2: a contestant.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Was let go.
- 9:17Speaker 2: They didn't get to stay during that cycle. Forgot about
- 9:21Speaker 2: the word cycle by the way, that kind of maybe yeah, laugh.
- 9:25Speaker 2: They didn't send them home. They put them in a
- 9:27Speaker 2: hotel and they sequestered them and they didn't get a
- 9:31Speaker 2: key to their room, and they were in there sometimes
- 9:34Speaker 2: up to two months.
- 9:36Speaker 1: I think they do that on Love Island something like that.
- 9:40Speaker 1: It's either before or after I got like a holding
- 9:44Speaker 1: that's sick.
- 9:45Speaker 3: That's really I don't know if.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I don't know if it's after they're done, but it's
- 9:48Speaker 1: definitely before they right.
- 9:51Speaker 3: They do put people like what are.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Saying, you don't know if you're going to get it,
- 9:56Speaker 1: if you're a bombshell, you just wait in this holding
- 9:58Speaker 1: pattern and you don't know if you're going to be
- 10:00Speaker 1: called in or not.
- 10:01Speaker 2: I know, but and we know that that works where
- 10:03Speaker 2: they put them in places. But yeah, the question is
- 10:08Speaker 2: do they not give them a key. That's the big thing,
- 10:10Speaker 2: Like they're not giving them a key to leave the room.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, that's awful.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Oh that's what I'm saying. I mean, that's the biggest thing.
- 10:16Speaker 2: It's like they're being put and they're being sequestered, but
- 10:20Speaker 2: they have no freedom to leave their room. And they also,
- 10:26Speaker 2: you know, one of the biggest things is they can't.
- 10:29Speaker 2: They don't want them to ever leave the show. So
- 10:32Speaker 2: what they do is they would penalize all of the
- 10:34Speaker 2: models if they talked off camera, they would penalize if
- 10:39Speaker 2: somebody did that, then they all got in trouble like prisoners,
- 10:44Speaker 2: like we're taking away your books because because Shelley talked
- 10:48Speaker 2: and she shouldn't have, you know, really abusive. I saw
- 10:51Speaker 2: a quick clip of Eva Marcelle talking about really it
- 10:55Speaker 2: was more focused on the producers because the leading question was, well,
- 11:00Speaker 2: this environment couldn't have happened without the producers, right, and
- 11:04Speaker 2: she was like, oh absolutely, you know, of course this
- 11:07Speaker 2: never would have happened if there wasn't a team of
- 11:10Speaker 2: people making this happen. Of course, Tyra and Ken Muck
- 11:15Speaker 2: at the top, you know, saying Yeah, we're gonna put
- 11:18Speaker 2: these people in solitary confinement with each other and make them,
- 11:21Speaker 2: you know, mike them up, not give them water, not
- 11:25Speaker 2: feed them enough, give them thirty seven dollars a day
- 11:28Speaker 2: as they're per diem, but that money actually has to
- 11:30Speaker 2: go towards their meals, and put them through these excruciating
- 11:37Speaker 2: challenges and then verbally abuse them when they're up there,
- 11:43Speaker 2: not only getting judged, but also through the photoshoots. This
- 11:48Speaker 2: like the Swan makeover thing that was happening, the teeth,
- 11:53Speaker 2: the closing the gap and the teeth, the opening the
- 11:56Speaker 2: gap and the teeth, the pulling the teeth out wash
- 12:01Speaker 2: extremely horrific. I mean, I could not believe that watching
- 12:05Speaker 2: that today, it was horrific.
- 12:07Speaker 1: But you know, I do think one though, uh, I
- 12:12Speaker 1: know that Danny did not want that, and that was
- 12:14Speaker 1: horrific to me because the I can't think of the
- 12:18Speaker 1: woman that did want it.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Oh, I have it written down.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Not Shanny no, not Shanny no, no.
- 12:24Speaker 2: She was the other one, oh wait to have but
- 12:28Speaker 2: Joy Joni, Yeah, she was.
- 12:32Speaker 1: This was like the best thing that you know, she
- 12:34Speaker 1: could have asked for, according to her. But like the
- 12:37Speaker 1: thing that was heartbreaking to me was the Danny one
- 12:40Speaker 1: where she was like this, I love this about myself.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Why are you changing this?
- 12:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know if Jonie. I think Janie was
- 12:48Speaker 2: excited to get that done, but I don't think it
- 12:52Speaker 2: turned out.
- 12:53Speaker 3: The way she expected.
- 12:55Speaker 2: I don't think that she knew that they were going
- 12:57Speaker 2: to take four teeth in the same day.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, she didn't know any of that, but she
- 13:04Speaker 1: but she does say like she was right happy about it.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Well, yeah, you say, I want to get a makeover,
- 13:10Speaker 2: A great, give me a makeover, and I'm so excited
- 13:13Speaker 2: because I would never be able to get a makeover.
- 13:16Speaker 2: And then I go in and then they shave my head,
- 13:20Speaker 2: and they they dye my eyebrows. They they put lip
- 13:24Speaker 2: filler in my lips and in my cheeks, and yeah,
- 13:29Speaker 2: I would have never been able to afford that.
- 13:30Speaker 3: But is that what I actually wanted?
- 13:33Speaker 1: No?
- 13:34Speaker 3: Its insane.
- 13:35Speaker 2: When she was like, look at what they did to
- 13:37Speaker 2: my teeth, I didn't. I don't know what I was
- 13:39Speaker 2: even looking at.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Oh that was because they filed them down for her veneers.
- 13:43Speaker 2: See they gave her veneers. Like that's insane. Yeah, oh
- 13:50Speaker 2: my god, I can't even that is so traumatic. She
- 13:54Speaker 2: seemed to be you know, did you recognize her? She
- 13:57Speaker 2: said that she's like found she's on home improvement, Like
- 14:01Speaker 2: if she's on a TV show or something.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Did you recognize I didn't, but I remember her from
- 14:07Speaker 1: being on the show. I don't know. It's like for me.
- 14:13Speaker 1: That to me was like because, uh, because she seemed
- 14:16Speaker 1: happy about it in the end, I was like, Okay, well,
- 14:21Speaker 1: I mean like.
- 14:22Speaker 3: She happy about it in the end as an adult.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Now, yeah she is. She said that she was grateful
- 14:28Speaker 1: for that. Oh, but I I because she's like I
- 14:32Speaker 1: would have never been able to afford this. I was
- 14:34Speaker 1: so self conscious about this snaggletooth and they like took.
- 14:38Speaker 1: I just didn't realize the process was going to be
- 14:40Speaker 1: so insane, and I wasn't allowed to talk to my
- 14:43Speaker 1: mother or a lawyer or anything. But the like I
- 14:46Speaker 1: actually got like I cried for Danny because I was
- 14:50Speaker 1: just like, she loves their gap. That's like her. She
- 14:53Speaker 1: wants that what are you doing? What are you doing?
- 14:57Speaker 3: What are you doing?
- 14:58Speaker 1: These?
- 14:58Speaker 3: Yeah, poor guy, It's.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Just so many of those. And then I just like
- 15:02Speaker 1: so many of these situations, like the woman that was
- 15:05Speaker 1: like trying to stop the guy from touching her and
- 15:08Speaker 1: stood up for herself. It's those moments when they're standing
- 15:11Speaker 1: up for themselves that reminds me, No, we knew better.
- 15:15Speaker 1: They knew better, and we as viewers knew better. And
- 15:18Speaker 1: then I sit there and think, Emily, what the hell,
- 15:21Speaker 1: who were you back then?
- 15:23Speaker 2: Like, yeah, I think, but I think that's how we
- 15:26Speaker 2: all must have been. We also haven't really been taught
- 15:32Speaker 2: to stand up for ourselves either. I mean, if I
- 15:34Speaker 2: was in that situation, I wouldn't have even said anything.
- 15:36Speaker 2: I would have absolutely gone along with that. Shoot, I
- 15:40Speaker 2: wouldn't have And you know, I can't judge these young
- 15:44Speaker 2: ladies because they're so young. I mean, that's a huge
- 15:48Speaker 2: part of it is that you know, when you're so
- 15:49Speaker 2: young in that situation and you get this opportunity and
- 15:52Speaker 2: they really didn't know what it was actually going to be,
- 15:56Speaker 2: and was also sad to see that, you know, really
- 15:58Speaker 2: like didn't really get them anywhere.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Most of them.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Well, and then they're okay. So like, I do have empathy,
- 16:06Speaker 1: not empathy, I do have a level of like, hey,
- 16:09Speaker 1: I must have been somewhere in the line of a
- 16:12Speaker 1: monster if I watched this and it was fun and
- 16:14Speaker 1: I didn't think it was bad for like Tyra and
- 16:19Speaker 1: Nuts and the people involved producer wise, because like we
- 16:22Speaker 1: didn't know or we thought, I don't know what the
- 16:25Speaker 1: fuck we were thinking is my point on that. But
- 16:28Speaker 1: to know that Tyra, as this show is going and evolving,
- 16:34Speaker 1: isn't even trying to help these people on the right
- 16:37Speaker 1: back end. Yeah, that made me mad.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Ooh what she said to Danielle, you know, fifteen years
- 16:43Speaker 2: later was crushing, crushing, Yeah about that. She knew that
- 16:49Speaker 2: she was going. She was like, I had to ride
- 16:51Speaker 2: the fence with her because I knew that she was
- 16:53Speaker 2: going to come against these roadblocks and I knew that
- 16:55Speaker 2: there was not much I could do to help her.
- 16:58Speaker 2: And Tyra is justifying this as in my opinion, she
- 17:03Speaker 2: was justifying why she did what she did because she
- 17:07Speaker 2: feels that and this is how she.
- 17:09Speaker 3: Can sleep at night.
- 17:10Speaker 2: If it weren't for them, and it weren't for their show,
- 17:13Speaker 2: they wouldn't have paved the way for other women and
- 17:17Speaker 2: other models to do what they're doing today. And that
- 17:20Speaker 2: may be part of it. I can't ignore that that's
- 17:24Speaker 2: not part of it. I mean the plus size model thing.
- 17:26Speaker 2: I think that that was huge.
- 17:28Speaker 3: When she was.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Shining a light on that and how people are not
- 17:33Speaker 2: talking about that enough even though yet at the same
- 17:35Speaker 2: time they're ripping these women to shreds about being you know,
- 17:40Speaker 2: too big when you're one hundred and thirty pounds.
- 17:43Speaker 1: But also Emmy was around then by the way, I
- 17:46Speaker 1: thought that, I was like, give Emmy a little credit.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Remember Emmy, she was a plus size supermodel. But and
- 17:56Speaker 1: then you know, like, by the way, I also want
- 17:58Speaker 1: to acknowledge like Tyra Banks, like this black woman that
- 18:02Speaker 1: was shit on by the industry completely even when they
- 18:04Speaker 1: showed sorry, I hint my mic even when they showed
- 18:07Speaker 1: her Sports Illustrated cover, being the first black woman on
- 18:10Speaker 1: Sports Illustrated, they still had to put a white woman
- 18:12Speaker 1: on with her. So it's like, I also am aware
- 18:16Speaker 1: of that, and so like I have a hard time
- 18:20Speaker 1: being like I just have a hard time fully going
- 18:25Speaker 1: as hard as I think I might have. I might
- 18:29Speaker 1: on Tira because even though this I don't know, this
- 18:33Speaker 1: whole documentary is very upsetting.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Well, she's projecting she wasn't treated fairly by any stretch
- 18:39Speaker 2: of the imagination. She was abused by a system, and
- 18:43Speaker 2: what ends up happening is it's a cycle is. That
- 18:46Speaker 2: isn't that interesting that it's called cycle because it's a
- 18:50Speaker 2: cycle of abuse. She was abused in this system. She
- 18:53Speaker 2: was mistreated, she was disrespected, she was overlooked, she was
- 18:58Speaker 2: all the things. And now she's, by default of her
- 19:04Speaker 2: not even wanting to do that, by wanting to do
- 19:07Speaker 2: the opposite, she's now done that. She's now projected her
- 19:12Speaker 2: abuse and the things that happened to her onto these women,
- 19:15Speaker 2: and that is what's so shocking about it.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, and Jannas Dickinson. I forgot how brutal she was.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Yeah, they were.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Laughing about her stuff on the documentary. You're like, oh,
- 19:31Speaker 1: that's Janis. I'm like, oh my god, she leveled that
- 19:35Speaker 1: girl like out of nowhere. Yeah.
- 19:38Speaker 2: By the way, I think Janice Dickinson is going to
- 19:40Speaker 2: be on the e documentary.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Yeah. Also, do you get the vibe that because Tyra
- 19:46Speaker 1: wasn't nice to everybody that were you know, like the
- 19:50Speaker 1: J's probably Janis that like in their personal lives. I
- 19:56Speaker 1: feel like that's a lot of where the hurt is
- 19:58Speaker 1: coming from too with these guys. And I get it.
- 20:00Speaker 1: I would be hurt too. I'm just saying, like I
- 20:03Speaker 1: think Tyra, Tyra didn't do herself any favors. But I'm
- 20:09Speaker 1: just trying to like big picture this thing as much
- 20:11Speaker 1: as I can to be like we also because I
- 20:14Speaker 1: feel somewhat responsible in terms of just being a viewer
- 20:17Speaker 1: that like had no issue with this. I can't like
- 20:20Speaker 1: not admit that.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Well, you have admitted it, Emily, and we're all gonna
- 20:25Speaker 2: blame you. We're all gonna it's your fault documentary.
- 20:29Speaker 1: I'll be in the next documentary, thank you.
- 20:35Speaker 2: One of the biggest things was that Jay Alexander mss
- 20:40Speaker 2: Jay Queen of the Catwalk had a stroke and now
- 20:44Speaker 2: is struggling to walk. That whole situation is terrible, so
- 20:48Speaker 2: sad and miss Jay is not heard from Tyra.
- 20:53Speaker 1: That's not good. Yeah, it's bad.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Well, she is the type of person though, where it's like, yeah,
- 20:59Speaker 2: I guess I can understand she's not well, she's not
- 21:04Speaker 2: like a healthy, emotionally healthy person, you know. I agree,
- 21:08Speaker 2: So she cannot operate. It's like she's done with them
- 21:14Speaker 2: and then she moves on. When we found out that
- 21:16Speaker 2: like the three of those guys got fired because of
- 21:19Speaker 2: the new CEO, president of the network or whatever, I
- 21:24Speaker 2: thought that it was going to be a way bigger
- 21:28Speaker 2: reveal because like when j Manuel was talking about how
- 21:33Speaker 2: I thought that she was going to have my back,
- 21:35Speaker 2: turns out she didn't. I thought something really bad it happened.
- 21:41Speaker 2: I'm sorry, you aren't America's next top model. You get
- 21:46Speaker 2: rid of people, you slice and dice, and you've done
- 21:48Speaker 2: it for years, and a new CEO comes in and
- 21:50Speaker 2: you you now think that like you are either a invaluable, untouchable, unfireable.
- 22:00Speaker 2: I thought they're being petty to be honest with you.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Well, and also to think that Tyra owed them something
- 22:08Speaker 1: or yeah, I'm sure she did go to bat or
- 22:13Speaker 1: thinks that Tyra. I'm sure. What happened was you got
- 22:17Speaker 1: to make a decision. It's either you do these cuts, Tyra,
- 22:21Speaker 1: make these changes, you know, refresh the show, or it's done.
- 22:26Speaker 1: And she was like, Okay, I don't know if that
- 22:29Speaker 1: was the right thing or not. I think obviously it
- 22:32Speaker 1: would suck.
- 22:33Speaker 2: It wasn't the right thing, but it also wasn't the
- 22:35Speaker 2: wrong thing. The show was going down, it had run
- 22:38Speaker 2: its course, it was on Cycle infinity, and people were
- 22:43Speaker 2: over it by that point, you know, it was it
- 22:45Speaker 2: was done. It was a big, huge thing. And then
- 22:47Speaker 2: now it's like we're over it. They think well, as
- 22:51Speaker 2: she said in her confessional I'm Sorry interview, she said
- 22:55Speaker 2: that I think they probably think that I was the
- 23:00Speaker 2: one behind that when it wasn't me, when in fact, yeah,
- 23:06Speaker 2: probably it could have very well been. And then she's
- 23:08Speaker 2: just saying part of it. But like also who cares?
- 23:13Speaker 2: And and you can't even work with these people anymore
- 23:16Speaker 2: anyway because you hate Jay Manuel because he left you before.
- 23:21Speaker 2: And to that point, Jay, why do you even.
- 23:24Speaker 3: Want to stay? You can't stand working with there.
- 23:27Speaker 2: It's so uncomfortable, that's torturous, like they had it. He
- 23:31Speaker 2: wanted to leave, right, That was weird to me. He
- 23:34Speaker 2: wanted to leave and wrote her a note.
- 23:38Speaker 3: I'm sorry. I thought that you guys were best friends.
- 23:40Speaker 1: I think you donet emailed her, right, okay, a note.
- 23:43Speaker 3: But it like first he talked to her about it first.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Yeah, he said, he like messaged her about what his
- 23:51Speaker 1: plan was first or something like basically he like had
- 23:54Speaker 1: her in the loop first.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Yeah, but he didn't talk to her about it. He
- 23:59Speaker 2: just sent her an email.
- 24:00Speaker 1: I don't know I got the I didn't. I didn't
- 24:03Speaker 1: think that that was that bad.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Oh my god, if you sent me an email and
- 24:08Speaker 2: you're like, it's been a great two and a half years.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Don't open your email. Do not open your email right.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Now out of like nowhere.
- 24:19Speaker 2: I mean, I I guess I if that was really
- 24:22Speaker 2: like what he did, I'm gonna it seems like maybe
- 24:25Speaker 2: there's more of the story that we're missing. But like,
- 24:28Speaker 2: if they are truly friends, why wouldn't they Why wouldn't
- 24:31Speaker 2: he just be like, Tyra, I gotta talk to you.
- 24:33Speaker 2: This is how I'm feeling. I'm starting to feel this
- 24:36Speaker 2: way and I I'm probably gonna end up leaving. I
- 24:40Speaker 2: don't know, but it's like, why why would you treat
- 24:43Speaker 2: her like? I guess that's how you would treat your boss.
- 24:47Speaker 2: So maybe maybe people will disagree with me that an
- 24:50Speaker 2: email is totally fine.
- 24:51Speaker 3: She is his boss, So there's that.
- 24:52Speaker 1: I mean, who knows at that point what the actual
- 24:55Speaker 1: like day to day of their friendship was, Like, it
- 24:58Speaker 1: seems like there is a lot there was is a
- 25:00Speaker 1: shift at some point there where it got they were friendly.
- 25:05Speaker 3: It started to get weird after that after.
- 25:08Speaker 1: The email, but I felt before the email.
- 25:11Speaker 2: No, it got weird when they did that challenge, the
- 25:16Speaker 2: racial one Yes twice twice. Well he let he was
- 25:22Speaker 2: like after that, I'm like, I can't do this, and
- 25:25Speaker 2: then he left, only to come back to do another
- 25:28Speaker 2: one of those challenges, right, because he's like, well, I bucket.
- 25:33Speaker 2: I mean, I'm here anyway, I've already done it once.
- 25:35Speaker 2: I've sold myself to the devil strange.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Yeah, here's the thing.
- 25:40Speaker 2: You just you kinda you can't have your cake and
- 25:43Speaker 2: eat it too, That's all I'm saying.
- 25:44Speaker 3: That's the problem I have.
- 25:45Speaker 2: With specifically j Manuel miss miss Jay. I. I don't
- 25:52Speaker 2: necessarily know if I feel the same way to some degree,
- 25:57Speaker 2: because like they got they got rid of Miss Jay
- 26:01Speaker 2: so and Miss Jay's clearly holding a major grudge. That
- 26:07Speaker 2: being said, this does not excuse Tyra's behavior. I feel
- 26:11Speaker 2: like I'm becoming a Tyra apologist. I just don't like
- 26:14Speaker 2: the whole We were fine with all the bullshit for
- 26:18Speaker 2: all this time, but then we got fired and now
- 26:21Speaker 2: we're mad. Like that annoys me, you know.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, And I will say, like, maybe it took
- 26:28Speaker 1: them getting fired to see like the reality of the
- 26:33Speaker 1: situation with her, Like maybe, you know, but I didn't
- 26:37Speaker 1: get that vibe with this. Sometimes it takes you know,
- 26:40Speaker 1: what I mean like, oh, now, I see what you
- 26:42Speaker 1: all have been saying, Like I didn't get that vibe. Right,
- 26:47Speaker 1: Tyra's your boss, and I know that you have friendships
- 26:52Speaker 1: before that, and that gets complicated, and I don't want
- 26:55Speaker 1: to take away from that, but I do think sometimes
- 26:59Speaker 1: that I saw it with Ellen and I'm seeing some
- 27:02Speaker 1: of it with ty Rowards, like they're not going to
- 27:05Speaker 1: be nice every day. These are complicated people just like you.
- 27:08Speaker 1: So yeah, let them take this girl's teeth out.
- 27:13Speaker 3: Let's be cool about it, right, right right.
- 27:17Speaker 2: I mean like this train got on the tracks and
- 27:20Speaker 2: this show and it just kept going and going. I
- 27:23Speaker 2: do remember when I started watching it. I don't remember
- 27:28Speaker 2: Shanny Shanny Shandy.
- 27:32Speaker 3: I don't remember that. I do not.
- 27:34Speaker 2: I don't think because that was really early. I do
- 27:37Speaker 2: not think I saw the first two seasons. I don't know,
- 27:41Speaker 2: maybe even three of America's Next Top Model.
- 27:43Speaker 1: See that's I think all I watched and it was
- 27:47Speaker 1: just like very like compelling. And then I again, I
- 27:51Speaker 1: don't know why I didn't stop. I stopped, but I mean, yeah,
- 27:55Speaker 1: the Shandy thing, like I didn't it didn't even register
- 27:58Speaker 1: to me, like any of that was like a possible assault,
- 28:04Speaker 1: like the idea that she was like way too drunk
- 28:07Speaker 1: to consent or any of that. Yeah, that edit what
- 28:10Speaker 1: we saw because I did go back and I watched
- 28:12Speaker 1: some of that to be like, wait, what did I
- 28:14Speaker 1: see back then? And I thought this was okay and.
- 28:17Speaker 3: The end was.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Now horrible, But then I could see where I would
- 28:24Speaker 1: have watched that and thought like.
- 28:26Speaker 2: She did it, yeah, because you would like, we're not, huh,
- 28:30Speaker 2: we can villainize somebody so easily. We're not taking into
- 28:34Speaker 2: consideration that they're being overserved, that they're being encouraged to
- 28:38Speaker 2: be around these people, and that she's probably not eating right.
- 28:42Speaker 2: She's about like she's this size, she's as heavy as
- 28:46Speaker 2: a feather, and then she said she had like two
- 28:49Speaker 2: bottles of wine.
- 28:51Speaker 1: But it's also just like I can see now just
- 28:56Speaker 1: her body and be like in that moment with that
- 29:00Speaker 1: guy and be like, I don't think she knows what's happening,
- 29:04Speaker 1: but I do remember back then being really mad at
- 29:08Speaker 1: the boyfriend. I will say this, good on me for
- 29:11Speaker 1: this back then, even though I was like.
- 29:13Speaker 2: You're being so hard on yourself, and I mean, I get,
- 29:15Speaker 2: I get what you're saying.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Like viewers, we demanded these things and we still do.
- 29:21Speaker 1: So I'm just trying to be like Agnizon of like careful.
- 29:25Speaker 2: I wish don't over do it, Emily, And you know,
- 29:27Speaker 2: just let me just say a little bit of a break.
- 29:29Speaker 2: You're a great person and you stand up for women's
- 29:33Speaker 2: rights all the time.
- 29:35Speaker 3: You hired that asshole.
- 29:38Speaker 1: I hired the dentist and I said, go crazy in
- 29:42Speaker 1: that mouth, take out all the teeth, and he did.
- 29:44Speaker 1: So it's my fault, Okay, no, I do. I do
- 29:50Speaker 1: remember thinking like that boyfriend. I was like, god, dude,
- 29:53Speaker 1: calm down. Like what he was like was gonna have
- 29:56Speaker 1: it sucks.
- 29:58Speaker 2: Sorry now now I'm having fun with it. But yeah,
- 30:01Speaker 2: I mean it was you should have my house, you should.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Have my house. Yeah.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Anyway, well yeah, because and then the other like he does,
- 30:14Speaker 2: he didn't understand what she was going through, that she
- 30:19Speaker 2: was really set up. You know, he was young too.
- 30:21Speaker 2: He didn't get it. He just thought she did something terrible.
- 30:25Speaker 2: And by the way, he's the one who told her
- 30:28Speaker 2: to do this, remember.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I know, I know.
- 30:32Speaker 2: And then they try to get back together and then
- 30:36Speaker 2: you know, they're walking on the street. I honestly he
- 30:39Speaker 2: had I hope that he realizes to this day that
- 30:44Speaker 2: he fucked up, like he should have stuck in there
- 30:46Speaker 2: with her.
- 30:47Speaker 3: She didn't even know what was going on. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 30:51Speaker 3: I feel bad.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, but you know, we learn, we learn, we
- 30:56Speaker 1: learn because now you know, something like that goes down
- 31:00Speaker 1: below deck below deck. Yeah we I yeah, I do
- 31:06Speaker 1: think like reality television has changed so much since then,
- 31:11Speaker 1: and it's still very good. So people just.
- 31:15Speaker 3: Go to jail, you know.
- 31:16Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, Oh my gosh. So I do really
- 31:24Speaker 2: want to watch the Dirty Rotten Scandals on E So
- 31:30Speaker 2: we should definitely be watching that.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Okay, I will, and I'll feel even worse about my
- 31:37Speaker 1: choices as a young Emily cheering it on, although I
- 31:44Speaker 1: won't feel as bad about the price is right because
- 31:49Speaker 1: that wasn't all right in front of us to see
- 31:51Speaker 1: and to hate, like air to love or whatever, like
- 31:55Speaker 1: America's Top Model. A lot of that. I like. I
- 31:58Speaker 1: like seeing what happened behind the scenes that I didn't
- 32:02Speaker 1: know about and I don't.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Have right and you don't have to feel yeah, right, totally,
- 32:08Speaker 2: it makes sense. Well, why don't we just halt it
- 32:15Speaker 2: right here? Okay, drop the anchor. We'll drop the anchor,
- 32:20Speaker 2: but first Emily, I have two girls in front of me.
- 32:29Speaker 2: I'm holding two pictures and now I'm only holding one picture.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Am I still in the running to be America's next
- 32:41Speaker 1: to me?
- 32:41Speaker 3: Phillips?
- 32:43Speaker 2: Shit?
- 32:48Speaker 1: Will you send me flowers?
- 32:49Speaker 2: We were rooting for you. We were all rooting for you.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Oh my god, I'm sorry. That's so brutal. Even Janice
- 32:57Speaker 2: Dickinson was like, shit, Ty, what the fuck is your problem?
- 33:02Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, I mean that I wasn't watching anymore at
- 33:08Speaker 1: that point, but I do remember like seeing that clip.
- 33:11Speaker 3: That's when I probably that's when I was watching it.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, I remember seeing that clip and being like,
- 33:18Speaker 1: what the hell is happening? Oh?
- 33:22Speaker 2: By the way, she's like living in Australia now yeah,
- 33:25Speaker 2: and she's like, what are we gonna do for our
- 33:28Speaker 2: next cycle?
- 33:29Speaker 3: And I'm like, wait what now?
- 33:32Speaker 1: She her house burned down in the Palisads Tyra Banks house.
- 33:36Speaker 3: Oh? Is that why she's in Australia?
- 33:38Speaker 1: I think she was already there. Oh okay, I do
- 33:40Speaker 1: remember reading that her homes one of her homes, Wow, Palisads.
- 33:48Speaker 3: All that America's next top model history mm hmm. Scrap
- 33:57Speaker 3: books gone probably better.
- 34:00Speaker 2: That's probably why she did the documentary because all the
- 34:03Speaker 2: evidence of the shit has been destroyed, not than like
- 34:06Speaker 2: making a light of a wildfire.
- 34:09Speaker 3: Okay, well, welcoming, thank you.
- 34:15Speaker 2: Let's talk about below deck downenda. So where were you
- 34:23Speaker 2: the moment you spotted your first gray hair? I think
- 34:26Speaker 2: we all know where we were when it was, what
- 34:30Speaker 2: time of year, what day it was, and what time?
- 34:33Speaker 3: Am I right?
- 34:34Speaker 2: I mean it always feels like it comes out of nowhere.
- 34:37Speaker 2: I remember seeing mine and thinking, okay, we've got a
- 34:40Speaker 2: little silver, got a little silver coming in, gorgeous silver?
- 34:45Speaker 2: But is that really the look I'm going for?
- 34:48Speaker 3: No?
- 34:48Speaker 2: And it is never just the color. Gray hairs feel different,
- 34:53Speaker 2: you know, they move a little different, They're a little coarser,
- 34:56Speaker 2: they're a little sassy or a little wiry, you know,
- 34:59Speaker 2: and they stand out from the rest of your hair.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Some people pluck it, some immediately start searching for dyes,
- 35:05Speaker 2: and some pretend it never happened. I might fall into
- 35:09Speaker 2: that category. But even if you haven't had that moment yet,
- 35:13Speaker 2: it eventually shows up for all of us. Sorry to say,
- 35:16Speaker 2: but here is the interesting part. What if you could
- 35:20Speaker 2: actually slow them down and keep your natural color longer
- 35:25Speaker 2: while also getting thicker fuller, shinier hair. That's where Array
- 35:31Speaker 2: comes in. Array has revolutionized the way we think about
- 35:35Speaker 2: gray hair. Their products are clinically proven to slow gray growth,
- 35:40Speaker 2: support repigmentation, and improve thickness and fullness in as little
- 35:44Speaker 2: as three to six months with consistent usage. So I've
- 35:48Speaker 2: been using the system myself and I have genuinely noticed
- 35:52Speaker 2: a difference, fewer new grays coming in and healthier feeling
- 35:57Speaker 2: hair overall. And here's how it works. So Array targets
- 36:01Speaker 2: grays from both the inside and the outside. Inside is
- 36:06Speaker 2: there daily supplement called not Today Gray. It fills nutrient
- 36:11Speaker 2: gaps that can speed up gray and supports melanin production,
- 36:15Speaker 2: which is the pigment behind your natural color. It can
- 36:18Speaker 2: even help grays grow back with more pigment. Now outside,
- 36:22Speaker 2: is there lightweight oil free serum to the root is
- 36:25Speaker 2: what it's called, and I love it. Powered by arrays
- 36:29Speaker 2: patented Mela nine complex, it helps slow new grays while
- 36:33Speaker 2: supporting thicker and fuller hair, and adding and timing matters
- 36:37Speaker 2: even if you haven't spotted a gray yet. I don't
- 36:40Speaker 2: fall into that category, but anyway, prevention works best when
- 36:43Speaker 2: you start early. In a Rays clinical study eighty eight
- 36:46Speaker 2: percent of users had less gray growth. Many also had
- 36:49Speaker 2: increased fullness, shine, and softer texture. Did you know that
- 36:53Speaker 2: the scalp ages six times faster than the face?
- 36:55Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 36:56Speaker 2: I didn't either. That's kind of wild. Yeah, so we
- 37:00Speaker 2: need to pay attention to that. Most people cover grays,
- 37:03Speaker 2: but you can actually slow their progression for a limited time.
- 37:06Speaker 2: My listeners get fifteen percent off at Array by using
- 37:10Speaker 2: code drama at Array dot com. Just head to a
- 37:14Speaker 2: R E y dot com and use my code drama
- 37:18Speaker 2: and you're all set. After you purchase, they'll ask you
- 37:21Speaker 2: where you heard about them. Please support my show and
- 37:24Speaker 2: tell them that Drama Darling sent you. Well well, well, well, well,
- 37:32Speaker 2: my god, we went from from a turtle off the
- 37:36Speaker 2: port side to lost at CE Liz.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Yeah, how about you got a little shout out on
- 37:45Speaker 1: Watch What Happens from Andres.
- 37:47Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Daisy Andreas from Tallyho was on Watch What Happens and
- 37:54Speaker 1: he opened up by saying, Daisy, I met you when
- 37:57Speaker 1: Amy Phillips gave me a lapdoce at the at her
- 38:01Speaker 1: cabaret show, and Daisy said, you were very lucky.
- 38:07Speaker 2: He's so nice of you, and and it's like, what's
- 38:10Speaker 2: your question. I don't take any offense to that, by
- 38:17Speaker 2: the way, and no one should because they have to
- 38:20Speaker 2: keep it going.
- 38:20Speaker 1: I mean they do have to keep yelling at him
- 38:22Speaker 1: in the lag on the question from the viewers to
- 38:28Speaker 1: when they get it in the studio. There's always that lag.
- 38:32Speaker 3: Yeah, you can't.
- 38:33Speaker 1: It's hard, it's it's tough. It's like New Year's when
- 38:37Speaker 1: they go remote to different spots and there's the lag.
- 38:40Speaker 2: Right.
- 38:40Speaker 1: But Andre's department did I just we haven't. We've got
- 38:44Speaker 1: to correct that technology.
- 38:47Speaker 3: We do.
- 38:48Speaker 2: We do so when Liz wasn't found, I literally was gasping,
- 38:55Speaker 2: Like the amount of space that he had to actually
- 39:00Speaker 2: run that tender was shockingly scary.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Yeah, he went on and on and on. And also
- 39:07Speaker 1: anytime you hear from the cameraman, it's like, fuck.
- 39:11Speaker 3: This is right.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Yeah, they're like, she wasn't with me.
- 39:18Speaker 1: Maybe the Darling Darlings helped me out. Jaywow did this before.
- 39:22Speaker 1: Not the body, not the losing the person thing, but
- 39:25Speaker 1: he does this thing where when he fucks up, he
- 39:28Speaker 1: immediately points at somebody else in point puts it on them.
- 39:31Speaker 1: He did this on the last charter ye, not the
- 39:34Speaker 1: last chart of the last season. He was on and
- 39:36Speaker 1: he tries to be crazy, and I was like, I
- 39:39Speaker 1: don't remember what he did, but he did do it
- 39:41Speaker 1: very familiar.
- 39:42Speaker 2: It's very jowow of him, just yeah wow of him.
- 39:45Speaker 2: Yeah jay wow, jed dumb, just stupid. And you know, look,
- 39:54Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know. I may have done
- 39:56Speaker 2: the same thing, because I mean, you've almost lost a
- 39:59Speaker 2: fucking person.
- 40:00Speaker 3: Okay you yeah? Fuck yeah, I am you bet you
- 40:05Speaker 3: better be.
- 40:06Speaker 2: Look I am driving the tender. You better What does
- 40:08Speaker 2: Mike doing? No, of course I'm not gonna blame you. You
- 40:12Speaker 2: would never be responsible for that. You would, You'd have
- 40:15Speaker 2: fucking the idiot who's not watching what's going on?
- 40:20Speaker 3: Mike.
- 40:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna blame myl Hey, the buck stops with you.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Wow wow, it stops with you, not me Amy wow
- 40:29Speaker 1: a wow ah wow.
- 40:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:32Speaker 3: It's pretty weak. It is weak.
- 40:34Speaker 2: I wouldn't blame somebody, but I would. No, I'm sorry,
- 40:37Speaker 2: I would. I'd blame my husband. That's who I would blame.
- 40:44Speaker 2: That was terrifying. And this guest was like, it's all good.
- 40:48Speaker 2: I was just following a fucking sea horse or whatever.
- 40:52Speaker 4: She's a sting ray And I'm like, yeah, you almost
- 40:55Speaker 4: have followed it to heaven like look up, look alive,
- 40:59Speaker 4: Like I can't believe that she just got off track
- 41:02Speaker 4: like that.
- 41:03Speaker 1: God. I was very surprised that they weren't sure if
- 41:07Speaker 1: she wore a life jacket, as though that was a
- 41:09Speaker 1: voluntary option.
- 41:11Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 41:12Speaker 2: And that, to me is almost a bigger negligence considering
- 41:17Speaker 2: that they knew that the tides were going nuts.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, first she's like, oh.
- 41:24Speaker 2: Well, if I didn't have a life jacket on, I
- 41:26Speaker 2: probably would have been freaking out. Yeah, you probably would
- 41:28Speaker 2: have drowned. I mean, I'm seriously And.
- 41:32Speaker 1: It seemed like we didn't see the footage, but it
- 41:34Speaker 1: did seem like they had there was it was questionable,
- 41:38Speaker 1: like if you want it, you can have it, and
- 41:41Speaker 1: she did. Fortunately someone talked her and do it. But
- 41:44Speaker 1: we didn't see that. But that was the vibe.
- 41:46Speaker 3: That was the vibe. Wow, how about that?
- 41:50Speaker 2: Well, sing a Net Benning or whatever her name is,
- 41:54Speaker 2: a Net Perry.
- 41:56Speaker 1: Ll sell this house today.
- 41:58Speaker 3: Yes, oh I got an amazing American beauty.
- 42:02Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, a Net Perry coming in twirling in
- 42:09Speaker 2: And this couple's great. I mean, they are just the
- 42:12Speaker 2: epitome of what you want on a charter, you know, like, oh,
- 42:16Speaker 2: those aren't polo horses. That's for the Western Country Western
- 42:20Speaker 2: Tomorrow Night, you.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Fool see, get your shit together. These are not racing horses.
- 42:26Speaker 2: So funny, they're like, by the way, tomorrow Night, now,
- 42:31Speaker 2: that is where we're gonna need the reunion set from Potomac.
- 42:35Speaker 3: Okay, look alive, Look alive.
- 42:38Speaker 2: By the way, I was on Facebook Marketplace, as I
- 42:41Speaker 2: have been constantly because with baby Dorter's new room design,
- 42:48Speaker 2: just getting some finishing touches there. And then also I
- 42:54Speaker 2: want to get a new chair for myself for the
- 42:56Speaker 2: living room because Brett has.
- 42:58Speaker 1: His chair, yes he does.
- 43:01Speaker 2: I don't have my chair. So I was like, you know,
- 43:05Speaker 2: what where are we talking about? Oh, father's chair. Oh
- 43:08Speaker 2: father's I mean, it's a joke, we joke father chair.
- 43:11Speaker 1: Cha.
- 43:11Speaker 2: That's exactly what I said. I go, I want mother's chair.
- 43:17Speaker 2: So that's what I'm getting for my birthday. That was
- 43:19Speaker 2: my birth that's my birthday gift. So I've been looking
- 43:21Speaker 2: on Facebook Marketplace constantly for like the right chair.
- 43:25Speaker 1: Yeah nice.
- 43:26Speaker 2: And then I also got a desk for Maddie's room,
- 43:29Speaker 2: which I picked up this morning. But oh yeah, So
- 43:32Speaker 2: my point is is that I was scrolling and I
- 43:35Speaker 2: saw a couch cushion, a long like patio outdoor couch
- 43:40Speaker 2: cushion that was that was green and white striped, exactly
- 43:44Speaker 2: like the Reunion couch.
- 43:46Speaker 3: Oh wow, it's that hilarious.
- 43:49Speaker 1: Yeah, let's do it. Let's make your living room into
- 43:53Speaker 1: the Potomac set.
- 43:54Speaker 3: Yeah, or this this office?
- 43:55Speaker 1: Why not?
- 43:56Speaker 3: Why not we do? Okay? Yeah?
- 44:00Speaker 2: Annette Perry and the primaries of this charter great, loving
- 44:07Speaker 2: what they're bringing, their high status, their high high maintenance.
- 44:12Speaker 2: Thank you, and it's great. Now Daisy, Poor Daisy. By
- 44:19Speaker 2: the end of this episode, she's like.
- 44:20Speaker 5: We're fucking late to greeting, We're late to decor, and
- 44:24Speaker 5: we're fucking late to dinner and launch and now we're late.
- 44:28Speaker 3: I fucking swimsuits.
- 44:32Speaker 2: Mike was wasn't Mike specifically who was told to take
- 44:36Speaker 2: the tender back and get the swim seas?
- 44:38Speaker 3: Okay, Eddie, what's up with that?
- 44:42Speaker 1: You know? I think that if I were Eddie, I
- 44:45Speaker 1: would have made the same mistake, because lunch was like
- 44:48Speaker 1: about ready, It's like, why am I going to do
- 44:50Speaker 1: two trips? When?
- 44:51Speaker 3: Oh interesting?
- 44:53Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Like I would have thought
- 44:55Speaker 1: it's definitely one of those things where I would have
- 44:58Speaker 1: been told I've been thinking, oh, it's just two more minutes,
- 45:00Speaker 1: It's just two more minutes. Yeah, and it adds up
- 45:02Speaker 1: and adds up and adds up and you don't realize.
- 45:05Speaker 1: But I was also like, why is it so hot
- 45:08Speaker 1: on that beach?
- 45:09Speaker 3: Also, Annette, you really forgot your swimsuit?
- 45:13Speaker 1: Like, go way down in the water. What's wrong?
- 45:15Speaker 3: Get in the water with your dress.
- 45:18Speaker 1: Yeah, who cares? You just flew here on a jet,
- 45:21Speaker 1: that dress, that dress and get it wet.
- 45:24Speaker 3: And dress you can get it wet. Just get in
- 45:27Speaker 3: the water. You can buy on a jet.
- 45:30Speaker 2: You can get your butt jet in the wet fat dress.
- 45:36Speaker 1: I was my point, Rachel is that I don't know
- 45:40Speaker 1: who that was. It started as Rachel, then it changed
- 45:43Speaker 1: with me.
- 45:45Speaker 3: Yeah it's Rache.
- 45:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think. My point is that they keep
- 45:55Speaker 1: saying or showing that they have more money than the
- 45:57Speaker 1: entire planet. So I'm like, just get in the ruin
- 46:00Speaker 1: the dress, live a little, let's see it.
- 46:02Speaker 2: She can't think outside that box also, you know, I
- 46:06Speaker 2: mean she would never can you imagine She's like, does
- 46:08Speaker 2: this room have a makeup desk? Which you know, that's
- 46:16Speaker 2: it would be nice to have, but like, yeah, she
- 46:21Speaker 2: no one said get your ass in the water, or
- 46:24Speaker 2: like pull your dress up. She had her dress up,
- 46:27Speaker 2: Just go wade, go, wade up to your thighs, swirl
- 46:32Speaker 2: in there.
- 46:33Speaker 1: Hot ass sand, which she was complaining was too hot.
- 46:37Speaker 1: And then she puts her whole body down flat into
- 46:40Speaker 1: that hot ass sand.
- 46:42Speaker 2: And her husband's like, hmm, I think she's gonna die
- 46:45Speaker 2: from a hate stroke. Oh lovey, it's like Gilligan's Island lovey.
- 46:52Speaker 2: Oh no, love He's gonna die love He's melting into
- 46:55Speaker 2: the sand. Oh boy. All right, So Ellie, did I
- 47:04Speaker 2: tell you? I have told you that Brett is Slovenian
- 47:06Speaker 2: and we found that out when he did twenty three
- 47:08Speaker 2: and meters.
- 47:09Speaker 1: Oh, I think if you did. I forgot.
- 47:13Speaker 2: How could you forget someone who's whose ancestry is from Slovenia.
- 47:20Speaker 3: Slovenia, Thank God for Ellie.
- 47:23Speaker 1: That's probably when you told me the first time. I
- 47:25Speaker 1: forgd Well, I also forgot Ellie. So it's not just
- 47:31Speaker 1: his back. I forgot the entire person of Ellie. Sure
- 47:33Speaker 1: until this season.
- 47:34Speaker 2: Again, Yeah, that's normal. Don't blame yourself. Okay, you're taking
- 47:39Speaker 2: a lot of heat on yourself to that.
- 47:40Speaker 1: I don't think. I don't like this.
- 47:42Speaker 3: I thinking, don't do this to yourself.
- 47:46Speaker 1: How about Ben and Ellie bonding over their trauma? Is there?
- 47:51Speaker 1: Like lunch was forty five fucking minutes to go into
- 47:54Speaker 1: the walkie talkie and they don't even hear it. They
- 47:57Speaker 1: don't hear it.
- 47:58Speaker 3: They're like, she's like, I got the bond drop in
- 48:00Speaker 3: me and eight years.
- 48:02Speaker 2: Old the bombs And he's like, he's like, Gorda, wait,
- 48:07Speaker 2: how does he talk? How does he talk? I don't
- 48:08Speaker 2: even know British?
- 48:09Speaker 6: Right? So he's like, oh, I've got a holt burning
- 48:21Speaker 6: pot pan.
- 48:23Speaker 2: That was on fire thrown in my head. See now
- 48:26Speaker 2: I'm doing Australian. I can't do British anymore.
- 48:29Speaker 1: Yes, you can a me.
- 48:30Speaker 3: No, it's my fault. It's my fault that ty retreated
- 48:34Speaker 3: the mind.
- 48:35Speaker 1: That it is. See good, let it out.
- 48:42Speaker 3: Okay, it's not my fault, right right O. I don't know.
- 48:47Speaker 3: I can't do it.
- 48:49Speaker 1: Oh got a hot ice? Oh I oh I can't
- 48:57Speaker 1: now either.
- 48:58Speaker 7: What happened?
- 49:01Speaker 1: Disgusting?
- 49:03Speaker 3: Let's do our exercises.
- 49:05Speaker 2: The rain on the plane falls mainly, No, the rain
- 49:09Speaker 2: in spain falls mainly on the plane.
- 49:12Speaker 3: I got a hot pot thrown at my head.
- 49:17Speaker 2: I got a hot pot thrown at my.
- 49:27Speaker 1: You know what. It's like, I can't get into like
- 49:29Speaker 1: a lock in word for him or phrase, and then
- 49:32Speaker 1: it just is.
- 49:33Speaker 2: Dalin, Darlin, Darlin, Wait, thank you see I'm going Australian.
- 49:39Speaker 3: I can't. I can't. Yeah, okay, we.
- 49:42Speaker 1: Get there anyway, it'll come back back.
- 49:45Speaker 2: And then she's like what did she say? And the
- 49:47Speaker 2: yo and and he's like what'd she say? And she's like,
- 49:51Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 49:52Speaker 3: Bombs and they drop.
- 49:54Speaker 2: I'm like, oh my god, you poor things. No, I
- 49:56Speaker 2: felt terrible. I felt terrible.
- 49:57Speaker 1: It's awful that hurt bos. The story was insane.
- 50:01Speaker 2: Oh my god, insane. And then you know, and not
- 50:05Speaker 2: to be lighthearted about it, but like to go through
- 50:08Speaker 2: such an atrocity at such a young age is terrifying.
- 50:12Speaker 2: And you know, look that's happening, you know as we speak,
- 50:18Speaker 2: and it's just you just hear. We are so far
- 50:21Speaker 2: removed from it, and so it's just crazy to hear
- 50:25Speaker 2: when people share this. She's like, oh, organizing helps me,
- 50:29Speaker 2: like cope, And I thought, oh, that makes so much sense.
- 50:32Speaker 3: Why she was like cutting boards color quoted. He's like, yeah, no, Darlan.
- 50:40Speaker 1: Yeah, now I do. And I also want her to
- 50:43Speaker 1: organize her hair back away from the field. Oh man,
- 50:49Speaker 1: I mean, I know. I'm sorry. That has nothing to
- 50:52Speaker 1: do with her past. I'm living in the moment stage. Hi,
- 50:58Speaker 1: I'm so happy to tell you this is so brittany.
- 51:02Speaker 1: She's interrupting us to ting ting ting, like, of course
- 51:05Speaker 1: it's a Brittany drop. That doesn't need to be there.
- 51:07Speaker 1: It's so brittany. She probably planned that.
- 51:10Speaker 2: That was totally my fault. I'm so sorry. I did
- 51:12Speaker 2: not mean to hit that. My apologies, Emily, you were saying.
- 51:20Speaker 1: Uh, yeah, that's it, just that in the moment that
- 51:24Speaker 1: we are currently in with Ellie's hair nothing to do
- 51:27Speaker 1: with her past. I need her to pull it all
- 51:29Speaker 1: back to get out of there.
- 51:31Speaker 3: It's much longer than it was last time, too.
- 51:34Speaker 1: Well, it's in everything to me. I'm just like, there's
- 51:38Speaker 1: so much hair.
- 51:38Speaker 2: It's going to be I mean, Annette is when she
- 51:43Speaker 2: when she gets uh sorry, when she complains about her
- 51:49Speaker 2: scallop cake and and he's got to make her some
- 51:53Speaker 2: scallop in their actual regular form. Yeah, there is gonna
- 51:59Speaker 2: be a piece of hair so long that she is
- 52:03Speaker 2: gonna pull out of that mouth. And she's tiny, so
- 52:06Speaker 2: it's gonna go. She's gonna be as long as she
- 52:10Speaker 2: is not to mention lot of Oh no, it's so.
- 52:17Speaker 1: Long, like you said, and it's like going to get
- 52:20Speaker 1: caught in shit in the kitchen.
- 52:22Speaker 2: Oh like, don't don't do not walk on deck, okay, Ellie,
- 52:27Speaker 2: because it's not gonna be pretty, but put a hairnut on.
- 52:31Speaker 3: I'm sorry, I'm not.
- 52:34Speaker 1: Even giving you. I'll even say this. I'll allow not
- 52:38Speaker 1: a hairnet. Just pull it back and I'm not gonna
- 52:40Speaker 1: notice in a in a bun and like pin it
- 52:43Speaker 1: back just so we're.
- 52:45Speaker 3: Not yeah something.
- 52:46Speaker 2: You know, no one wants to be on camera in
- 52:48Speaker 2: a hairnet, so.
- 52:49Speaker 3: I'll allow it too. Yeah yeah yeah.
- 52:54Speaker 2: So but meanwhile, like who can hear Daisy actually on
- 52:58Speaker 2: the radio for really being honest about it, because it's
- 53:00Speaker 2: like her tone is so basy, it's probably matching with
- 53:04Speaker 2: the engine room at all times.
- 53:06Speaker 5: So it's like that's everybody ready for there wasn't just
- 53:10Speaker 5: sort on everybody's everybody's park the drus we need the no.
- 53:19Speaker 3: It's like the shipboarn goes. They just think it's the
- 53:22Speaker 3: ship worn.
- 53:24Speaker 1: Like that's a hungry No one can hear you on
- 53:28Speaker 1: this boat at all. Everybody's got there's a communication like
- 53:32Speaker 1: a literal. No one can understand or hear each other.
- 53:35Speaker 3: On the wood can oh my god, pull pull.
- 53:40Speaker 1: Buttle pole poor the tool the tool.
- 53:48Speaker 2: I was thinking of a tool, so I said poll,
- 53:51Speaker 2: oh my god, my heart, my heart, my heart, my heart.
- 53:56Speaker 1: Yeah, that was so sad.
- 53:59Speaker 5: Oh.
- 54:00Speaker 1: I thought Captain Jason handled that well.
- 54:02Speaker 3: He did, and I think she handled it.
- 54:05Speaker 1: Well, by the way, because that was not an easy
- 54:07Speaker 1: thing for her to go do. And she's actually kind
- 54:09Speaker 1: of conf not confronting him but just saying, like very
- 54:14Speaker 1: much what she needs from him, And that's an easy
- 54:17Speaker 1: thing to ask in that situation.
- 54:20Speaker 2: You know, it was all fun and games and like
- 54:22Speaker 2: funny that she was like these accents this person, that
- 54:27Speaker 2: person and like Jenna, and I love that Daisy co
- 54:31Speaker 2: signed that she couldn't understand. She's like, my cans are
- 54:33Speaker 2: a fucking wardo, just saying Jenna, that was.
- 54:36Speaker 3: A great shot.
- 54:38Speaker 2: But like, yeah, she to be you know, multi lingual. Yeah,
- 54:46Speaker 2: and like that is a huge challenge then opening up
- 54:50Speaker 2: about her personal life and to be told that she's
- 54:53Speaker 2: just not smart enough is just so heartbreaking to me,
- 54:55Speaker 2: and it makes me so angry.
- 54:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 55:00Speaker 2: Yeah, hearing her story was just so sad. And then
- 55:02Speaker 2: you know, being told that she's not smart enough her
- 55:04Speaker 2: whole life, it's just devastating and I love that she
- 55:08Speaker 2: wants to give give them a big fuck you.
- 55:10Speaker 3: Good for her.
- 55:12Speaker 1: Yeah, she's definitely angry about that. Like when she puts
- 55:15Speaker 1: up when she gave two big metal figures, I was like.
- 55:18Speaker 3: Wouces, we're heading into Duce territory.
- 55:21Speaker 1: Which I was like, we all understand that. Finally somebody's
- 55:25Speaker 1: very clear on this boat. Yeah, she knew.
- 55:27Speaker 2: I knew where the camera was and she was like,
- 55:30Speaker 2: deuzes up and drop the anchor on those deuces.
- 55:36Speaker 3: Yeah, and I like that. He's like, the it is
- 55:38Speaker 3: just a language, Buria.
- 55:39Speaker 7: They were going to ye through see go en and
- 55:44Speaker 7: it's like, oh, Jason, please, but her father being married
- 55:51Speaker 7: to three women.
- 55:52Speaker 1: At the same time, Yeah, something like that.
- 55:56Speaker 3: Yeah, that's wild.
- 55:57Speaker 1: It seems like she got the short end of the stick.
- 56:02Speaker 2: Indeed, speaking of sticks, let's see here, where can I.
- 56:08Speaker 3: Deal with that? Well?
- 56:15Speaker 1: Yeah, do you get the vibe that Ben really needs
- 56:20Speaker 1: this gig?
- 56:21Speaker 2: Oh, cause you're right, he needs to pay for that
- 56:24Speaker 2: fifty thousand dollars wedding.
- 56:25Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 56:28Speaker 2: Kate Chastain entered the chat because Ben's ex fiance, Ah.
- 56:35Speaker 3: Did that video? You saw that, right?
- 56:38Speaker 1: I saw that. Kate spoke about the video or there's
- 56:41Speaker 1: like this fallout with that.
- 56:43Speaker 2: Well, the ex fiance was like, I'm Ben's ex fiance.
- 56:50Speaker 2: I would never do that. What he said is not true.
- 56:54Speaker 2: I did not cheat on him with his friend. Whatever
- 56:58Speaker 2: she said, and I was like, oh, interesting, So Ben's
- 57:02Speaker 2: a liar face. And then Kate jumped in and was like, oh,
- 57:08Speaker 2: this is interesting. I saw the receats. Yeah, I saw
- 57:13Speaker 2: the attacks.
- 57:14Speaker 1: She's lying, Well, I told you on the after show
- 57:18Speaker 1: I watched last week. Kate's on there and she's like,
- 57:24Speaker 1: you know, Ben's X was not great, Like she basically
- 57:29Speaker 1: said it in so many words, I forget, but she
- 57:31Speaker 1: basically is that, Kate, that's Ben's X.
- 57:34Speaker 3: Sorry, go ahead.
- 57:37Speaker 1: She basically agreed with him that she was maybe not
- 57:41Speaker 1: the best for him. But I'm also like, we've all
- 57:43Speaker 1: seen Ben and so I am. I am kind of
- 57:47Speaker 1: like I don't know what went down with whatever, but
- 57:51Speaker 1: like I don't I don't know Ben really is the
- 57:54Speaker 1: marrying kind in the long run.
- 58:00Speaker 3: A potted plate hit my head.
- 58:05Speaker 1: That was hot.
