Latest / Solomonster Sounds Off / AEW Dynamite 5/13/26 Review | Owen Hart Brackets REVEALED And Jack Perry WWE-Bound?
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Well, it is another week and it is another title
- 0:03Speaker 1: defense for Darby Allen closing out another edition of Dynamite,
- 0:08Speaker 1: his fifth title defense in three weeks. And the match
- 0:13Speaker 1: tonight was supposed to come against Kazuchika Okada because if
- 0:16Speaker 1: you tuned into Dynamite last week or I guess Collision
- 0:20Speaker 1: since it technically I guess it was mentioned on Dynamite.
- 0:24Speaker 1: But then Okata came out during the third hour we
- 0:26Speaker 1: had three hour block last week. We were supposed to
- 0:29Speaker 1: get a World Championship match tonight with Darby and Okada,
- 0:32Speaker 1: and that did not happen. We were told on Collision
- 0:34Speaker 1: by Don Kallis that Okatta had to fly back to Japan,
- 0:38Speaker 1: and I thought he might make a cameo tonight. I
- 0:40Speaker 1: thought maybe he was part of an angle. Turns out
- 0:43Speaker 1: I guess it wasn't. So hopefully whatever he went back
- 0:45Speaker 1: there for on such short notice wasn't anything too serious.
- 0:49Speaker 1: But we got a pretty suitable replacement because instead we
- 0:53Speaker 1: had Darby Allen defending the World Championship tonight against Okata's
- 0:57Speaker 1: opponent at double or Nothing, Kenoski Takeshta and these two
- 1:03Speaker 1: guys went out there and they had a hell of
- 1:06Speaker 1: a main event, and I have to say this, it's
- 1:08Speaker 1: going to be over in a few weeks. This Darby
- 1:12Speaker 1: miracle run will be over in a few weeks. But
- 1:15Speaker 1: I have to say that, you know, Darby is making
- 1:17Speaker 1: the most of the time that he has with that championship,
- 1:21Speaker 1: and he wrestles and works his matches as somebody who
- 1:23Speaker 1: realizes he's on a short you know, he's kind of
- 1:26Speaker 1: got a short leash here that they're keeping him on.
- 1:30Speaker 1: He's not going to be in this position for an
- 1:32Speaker 1: extended period of time. So every time he goes out there,
- 1:35Speaker 1: I mean, this is just the way that he wrestles
- 1:37Speaker 1: all of his matches anyway, but every time he goes
- 1:39Speaker 1: out there, it's basically a car crash every single week
- 1:43Speaker 1: with this guy, where he is taking these unbelievably ridiculous
- 1:46Speaker 1: bumps and just they're throwing so much stuff at you.
- 1:51Speaker 1: He's taking so much abuse here in these matches. It
- 1:54Speaker 1: does make for some dramatic near falls, as we saw tonight.
- 1:58Speaker 1: The fans, you know, we're biting on some of the
- 1:59Speaker 1: new falls in their match, But again, tonight was no
- 2:02Speaker 1: different than what we've seen out of him on this
- 2:04Speaker 1: show over the last few weeks and then we found
- 2:07Speaker 1: out when the match was over, and of course Darby one,
- 2:10Speaker 1: that we had a contract signing and it was made
- 2:12Speaker 1: official that at Double or Nothing coming up on May
- 2:15Speaker 1: twenty fourth, it will be title versus hair. It will
- 2:18Speaker 1: be Darby Allen putting his championship on the line. MJF
- 2:22Speaker 1: will be putting his hair, his follicles on the line.
- 2:25Speaker 1: That is our main event, the worst kept secret because
- 2:30Speaker 1: we could tell from a mile away what that main
- 2:32Speaker 1: event in New York was going to because they made
- 2:33Speaker 1: it official tonight. And also tonight we found out what
- 2:37Speaker 1: the teams, the full teams are going to be for
- 2:40Speaker 1: the first Stadium Stampede match in many years. It will
- 2:42Speaker 1: be seven on seven. You talk about a cluster fuck
- 2:47Speaker 1: of a match, that is what Stadium Stampede is going
- 2:51Speaker 1: to be. I will tell you what those teams look like.
- 2:54Speaker 1: We had another Open Challenge tonight. Oh yes, It's been
- 3:00Speaker 1: a while since I've had one of those. So we
- 3:04Speaker 1: had the Open Challenge with Kevin Knight and the TNT Championship.
- 3:07Speaker 1: We had the return in that match of an aw
- 3:09Speaker 1: star that we have not seen in the ring in
- 3:12Speaker 1: over a year and actually had a pretty good match.
- 3:16Speaker 1: I would say between those two matches, the TNT title
- 3:19Speaker 1: match the main event, and I'll throw in the will
- 3:21Speaker 1: Ospury match with Ace Austin, who's very good and does
- 3:25Speaker 1: not nearly get enough screen time on these shows. I'm
- 3:28Speaker 1: talking about the main show on Wednesdays. They had a
- 3:32Speaker 1: very good match as well, and they had a hot
- 3:35Speaker 1: crowd too, which always helps. It was a very good
- 3:38Speaker 1: night for in ring action on this show. Very good
- 3:41Speaker 1: night as far as the matches go. It was a
- 3:43Speaker 1: lot easier to sit through than last week's show. Last
- 3:46Speaker 1: week's show, to me, was very dull. Not that there
- 3:48Speaker 1: wasn't any good wrestling on the show, but just sometimes
- 3:50Speaker 1: you feel it and sometimes you don't. Last week, to me,
- 3:54Speaker 1: that was a tough show to sit through. And we
- 3:56Speaker 1: wrapped up the review in an hour and we were
- 3:58Speaker 1: in and out. This week was an improvement on last week.
- 4:01Speaker 1: I enjoyed this week's show more than I did last week.
- 4:04Speaker 1: But we got something else tonight. We found out what
- 4:06Speaker 1: the brackets are going to be for the owen Hart Tournament.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I've been wondering when are we going to get the
- 4:11Speaker 1: announcement about these brackets? All in this year is a
- 4:14Speaker 1: month later than it was last year it was mid July.
- 4:17Speaker 1: This year it's late August. So I was thinking that
- 4:21Speaker 1: maybe a round double or nothing this thing would kick off.
- 4:24Speaker 1: And sure enough we got the men's bracket, and we
- 4:26Speaker 1: got the women's bracket, which I'm going to show you
- 4:29Speaker 1: right now. We'll talk about this here may as well.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Why wait this right here was the men's bracket for
- 4:35Speaker 1: the twenty twenty six Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. You take
- 4:39Speaker 1: a look at the left side of the bracket. We
- 4:41Speaker 1: have Samoa Joe one on one with will Osprey and
- 4:44Speaker 1: that match will be taking place at double or nothing.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Samoa Joe has been trying to recruit will Osprey into
- 4:51Speaker 1: the ops and he hasn't gotten an answer. Very unhappy
- 4:56Speaker 1: about this, so now he's going to beat it out
- 4:58Speaker 1: of him at the So that's one match. And then
- 5:03Speaker 1: on the same side of the bracket, we have the
- 5:05Speaker 1: brand new aw National champion, Mark Davis. Shout out Mark Davis.
- 5:11Speaker 1: He's actually got some singles gold. I'm a Mark for
- 5:15Speaker 1: Mark Davis. What can I say? He's in this tournament.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I have to say, as much as I am a
- 5:19Speaker 1: fan of his work, how he ended up in this
- 5:22Speaker 1: tournament over any number of people who are not in
- 5:26Speaker 1: this tournament is beyond me. But he is in this tournament.
- 5:28Speaker 1: He will be wrestling the former national champion, jungle Jack Perry.
- 5:33Speaker 1: So that's on one side and the other side of
- 5:34Speaker 1: the bracket. Swerve Strickland and Bandido. Now we knew that
- 5:38Speaker 1: they were heading towards a match on the pay per view,
- 5:41Speaker 1: but now it's a match that has actual stakes because
- 5:44Speaker 1: it is going to be part of the Owenhart Tournament
- 5:46Speaker 1: and the winner of that match will move on to
- 5:48Speaker 1: meet the winner of the match between Brody King and
- 5:52Speaker 1: Claudio Castignoli. And the first thing is I look at
- 5:55Speaker 1: this bracket. That really jumps out of me because you've
- 5:57Speaker 1: heard me talking about this. Now for many weeks, I
- 6:00Speaker 1: thought the final was going to be no John Moxley
- 6:04Speaker 1: in this tournament. My question would be, why is Claudio
- 6:10Speaker 1: in this tournament over Moxley, given that Moxley is a
- 6:14Speaker 1: former AW World champion, In fact, he was the one
- 6:16Speaker 1: defending the championship in the main event at all in
- 6:20Speaker 1: last year and he's not even in the tournament. But
- 6:23Speaker 1: Claudio is who's never been AW World champion before. But
- 6:29Speaker 1: that tells me is that they really want to do
- 6:31Speaker 1: will Ospury and Swerve Strickland in the finals of this tournament,
- 6:34Speaker 1: which as you can see, are going to be taking
- 6:36Speaker 1: place at Forbidden Door in San Jose on June twenty eighth.
- 6:42Speaker 1: And that's really the only thing that makes sense to
- 6:44Speaker 1: me is that mox is not in here because they
- 6:46Speaker 1: don't want him to lose to any of these other people,
- 6:49Speaker 1: and that's not the final they want to do. This
- 6:52Speaker 1: is clearly setting up for a Swerve in Ospbury final, which,
- 6:56Speaker 1: funny enough, if it happens, would be at Forbidden Door,
- 6:58Speaker 1: which is where they had their first match two years
- 7:00Speaker 1: ago for the aw World title, and taking nothing away
- 7:06Speaker 1: from that match, believe me. I mean, if we're gonna
- 7:08Speaker 1: get Osprey and Swerve in the finals, that's fine with me.
- 7:11Speaker 1: But to me, that was the biggest surprise here of
- 7:14Speaker 1: this men's bracket, not even seeing Jean Moxley's name in there.
- 7:18Speaker 1: But I mean, look then, does anybody you look at
- 7:20Speaker 1: that bracket? Does anybody believe that anybody else is going
- 7:24Speaker 1: over in this thing except for will Ospray? It can
- 7:28Speaker 1: go no other way. The winner puts his stamp on it,
- 7:32Speaker 1: he punches his ticket to Wembley Stadium. They're telling this
- 7:36Speaker 1: story with will Osprey his neck. He's trying to find
- 7:40Speaker 1: the inner soldier from within, the beast within. He's trying
- 7:44Speaker 1: to make this big comeback. It's the only thing that
- 7:48Speaker 1: makes sense. Anything else would be ridiculous other than Osprey
- 7:52Speaker 1: winning this tournament. But that's not the only tournament. Of course,
- 7:56Speaker 1: we have two of them. We have one for the men,
- 7:58Speaker 1: we have to have one for the women, and so
- 8:00Speaker 1: on the women's side, which I have to say is
- 8:04Speaker 1: I put this graphic up here, this bracket is more
- 8:08Speaker 1: unpredictable than the men's. On the left hand side, we
- 8:13Speaker 1: have Persephone her and her dual contract that she now
- 8:17Speaker 1: has going one on one with Hazuki, who had a
- 8:22Speaker 1: hell of a match a couple of years ago with
- 8:24Speaker 1: Mercedes Monette that I still remember watching. Will o' Nightingale
- 8:30Speaker 1: is going to go one on one with Alex Windsor.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Can you imagine if Tony con says, hey, I have
- 8:35Speaker 1: a great idea, Why don't we have Will Osprey and
- 8:40Speaker 1: Alex Windsor both going to Wembley Stadium to win their
- 8:45Speaker 1: respective championships this year? That would be a fucking terrible idea.
- 8:51Speaker 1: That is not what I want to say. I think
- 8:54Speaker 1: Alex Windsor actually is the very good chance Alex Windsor
- 8:57Speaker 1: is going to win championship gold at Wembley Stadium. But
- 9:01Speaker 1: it will not be the aw Women's World title. It
- 9:04Speaker 1: will be the women's tag team titles. The Brawling Birds
- 9:08Speaker 1: beating Divine Dominion is my prediction for all In but
- 9:13Speaker 1: Willow and Alex Windsor. That match will take place at
- 9:15Speaker 1: double or nothing. Now, on the other side of the bracket,
- 9:18Speaker 1: we have Mina Shirakawa, who loses most of her matches
- 9:22Speaker 1: going one on one against the Ring of Honor Forever
- 9:25Speaker 1: Women's Champion Athena. I love how they dust her off
- 9:28Speaker 1: every now and then when they have an opening for her,
- 9:31Speaker 1: they remember that she's actually employed. As if Athena is
- 9:35Speaker 1: going in there to lose to Mina Shirakau, I mean,
- 9:38Speaker 1: come on now, So Athena will then meet the winner
- 9:42Speaker 1: of Sky Blue and Siree, Yes, Siree is in this tournament. Now,
- 9:49Speaker 1: I will point out that if you remember last year's tournament,
- 9:52Speaker 1: we had Jamie Hayter was in there, Chris Statlander was
- 9:55Speaker 1: in there, Mercedes Monette was in there, Athena was in there. Well,
- 10:01Speaker 1: so Athena is back, but no Hater, no stat Lander,
- 10:06Speaker 1: and no Mercedes. If Moxley not being in the men's
- 10:09Speaker 1: is the biggest surprise on the men's side, I would
- 10:12Speaker 1: have to say that Mercedes not returning and being in
- 10:14Speaker 1: this tournament is the biggest surprise of this one. Now,
- 10:17Speaker 1: the thing is, I know some people are gonna look
- 10:19Speaker 1: at some of the names here, like Hazuki, like well,
- 10:21Speaker 1: who is that? Who is this? And why is she
- 10:24Speaker 1: in the tournament? I understand her being in there actually
- 10:28Speaker 1: because as you can see in the middle there, see
- 10:30Speaker 1: that little Forbidden door logo. Look just above it, you
- 10:34Speaker 1: see an AW logo, you see a CMLL, you see stardom,
- 10:39Speaker 1: you see New Japan. Right, Stardom is a part of that.
- 10:42Speaker 1: It's a joint production, so they wanted some stardom representation
- 10:46Speaker 1: in there, right. I mean, I know Persephone has a
- 10:50Speaker 1: dual contract, but that's also why she's in the tournament,
- 10:53Speaker 1: and not for nothing. If you're not familiar with Hazuki,
- 10:56Speaker 1: she is very good. Siri is a weird one because
- 11:01Speaker 1: she just announced a few days ago that she was
- 11:04Speaker 1: taking a month off to seek treatment on her neck.
- 11:08Speaker 1: She's been having neck issues. She's taken a month off now,
- 11:14Speaker 1: I guess by the time this thing really kicks off,
- 11:17Speaker 1: and then they could always then delay her opening match
- 11:21Speaker 1: as long as possible. I mean, obviously she's going to
- 11:24Speaker 1: be wrestling. It's just the timing is very weird with
- 11:28Speaker 1: her taking time off for an injury. Here, you know,
- 11:31Speaker 1: Willow Nightingale. I can't see Willow winning. She already won before.
- 11:35Speaker 1: But also she already has the TVs championship now. Mercedes
- 11:40Speaker 1: already won as well, and if she was in this tournament,
- 11:42Speaker 1: she would have been my pick to win. But the
- 11:44Speaker 1: difference is just for the story of her losing all
- 11:48Speaker 1: those other belts. Right now she's going after the main one.
- 11:51Speaker 1: The story would have been there for it. But I
- 11:56Speaker 1: think I'll tell you who I think as I look
- 11:58Speaker 1: at this bracket here. Ask me, who do I think
- 12:01Speaker 1: is the favorite to win this thing? I think, Persephone.
- 12:06Speaker 1: I think as I sit here right now, if I
- 12:07Speaker 1: had to pick, if I had to pick a favorite
- 12:10Speaker 1: to win on the women's side, and frankly the one
- 12:14Speaker 1: who I feel like I would probably want to see
- 12:16Speaker 1: of these options that we've been given here and again,
- 12:20Speaker 1: I love love Willow and I love Athena, but I
- 12:23Speaker 1: gotta go Persephone on this, and then I realize something else.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Just now, Persephone is injured, so she's also in this tournament.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Now I know they're crediting her injury on television to
- 12:37Speaker 1: her being missed. It in the face a few weeks
- 12:39Speaker 1: ago by Julia Hart. I believe it's a legitimate injury
- 12:42Speaker 1: that she has. I mean, supposedly she was seen in
- 12:45Speaker 1: a walking boot, you know, walking around in a walking boot.
- 12:49Speaker 1: She was pulled, I know from the Ring of Honor
- 12:51Speaker 1: Supercard of Honor show, the pay per view this Friday.
- 12:55Speaker 1: So if she is, if she does have a legitimate injury,
- 12:58Speaker 1: I mean, I would imagine that it's obvious, not too
- 13:00Speaker 1: serious if she's been booked to be a part of
- 13:02Speaker 1: this tournament here. But again, if I had to pick
- 13:05Speaker 1: an early favorite, I would go with her. Nothing wrong
- 13:08Speaker 1: with you know, Willow going over even Athena. I just
- 13:12Speaker 1: Athena in Techla is not a match I see them doing.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Unless we're looking at this wrong and Tecla is not
- 13:18Speaker 1: walking into Wembley, which is still a few months away.
- 13:23Speaker 1: If Tecla is not walking in as the champion, then
- 13:25Speaker 1: who would be walking in his champion in that case, right,
- 13:28Speaker 1: I mean, who have they really set up to potentially
- 13:30Speaker 1: beat her for the title before we get to all in.
- 13:33Speaker 1: I don't know. They haven't really set up anybody for that.
- 13:36Speaker 1: I'm just looking at this to the prism of this
- 13:39Speaker 1: woman will still be champion when we get to all in. You.
- 13:43Speaker 1: When I look at these options, the only ones that
- 13:46Speaker 1: really truly makes sense to me would be Willow or Persephone.
- 13:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with Persephone. I just I don't see
- 13:53Speaker 1: them giving the O in twice to Willow, and not
- 13:57Speaker 1: when she has the TBS title. So anyway, those are
- 14:00Speaker 1: your brackets for the Owenhart tournaments, and those will be
- 14:03Speaker 1: kicking off in a couple of weeks at double or nothing.
- 14:10Speaker 1: I'm saying Willow or Athena Mina would be a mess.
- 14:13Speaker 1: It's not gonna be Mina. Look I like Mina, Mina.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Mina ain't getting out of the first round, Okay my opinion,
- 14:22Speaker 1: she ain't getting out of that first round, let alone
- 14:23Speaker 1: winning the entire thing. Holy shit, Cheza. It is five
- 14:31Speaker 1: am on a Thursday, where CHESSA is five o'clock in
- 14:35Speaker 1: the morning. CHESSA is having his morning coffee as he
- 14:39Speaker 1: tunes into the stream, we'll welcome good morning. I'm glad
- 14:43Speaker 1: you can join. This is your aw Dynamite review. It
- 14:46Speaker 1: is Wednesday, May thirteenth, twenty twenty six. I am the
- 14:49Speaker 1: solemn monster. Hit that like button, hit that subscribe button,
- 14:52Speaker 1: and super chats are open, and I'm going to be
- 14:54Speaker 1: reading a whole bunch of messages from you guys a
- 14:56Speaker 1: little bit later on, including one Joseph Stewart who bombed me.
- 15:03Speaker 1: It was a bombardment before I went live tonight, and Joseph,
- 15:06Speaker 1: I really appreciate that. Joseph. I have a feeling Joseph.
- 15:10Speaker 1: He mentioned in one of his super chez that he
- 15:12Speaker 1: was away in a family vacation. I was wondering because
- 15:14Speaker 1: he had been absent for a little bit and I
- 15:17Speaker 1: was starting to get worried. But apparently he was on vacation.
- 15:19Speaker 1: I see. I don't know what one of those actually
- 15:22Speaker 1: looks like anymore. It's been a while since I've taken
- 15:24Speaker 1: a proper vacation. But Joseph, thank you. It'd be going
- 15:27Speaker 1: through all your messages a little bit later on, but
- 15:29Speaker 1: before we do all of that, this is always a
- 15:33Speaker 1: dangerous thing here on a Wednesday night. We don't always
- 15:37Speaker 1: hit the likes goal on Wednesdays. I'm hoping tonight will
- 15:41Speaker 1: be a good night if we want to do Be
- 15:46Speaker 1: the Booker to find out what our likes goal is
- 15:49Speaker 1: going to be. Three hundred and fifty. That's actually a
- 15:58Speaker 1: pretty modest goal world were less than one hundred away.
- 16:02Speaker 1: That is doable. I know it's a Wednesday, but that
- 16:05Speaker 1: is attainable. Three hundred and fifty likes and we will
- 16:08Speaker 1: be doing Be the Booker, So go ahead and get
- 16:10Speaker 1: those likes in. I believe in you. I believe in you.
- 16:15Speaker 1: I know you can do it. Earlier today, Renee tried
- 16:23Speaker 1: to get a word backstage with MJF as he arrived
- 16:25Speaker 1: at the arena. Says Darby, Allen is adamant that if
- 16:29Speaker 1: he doesn't put his hair on the line, he will
- 16:32Speaker 1: never challenge him for the aw World Championship, and MJF
- 16:36Speaker 1: just walks away. The camera follows as he continues to
- 16:39Speaker 1: walk through the backstage area, and it just so happens
- 16:42Speaker 1: that every single person that he is walking by is bald.
- 16:48Speaker 1: They're follically challenged. Just a bunch of mister cleans walking around,
- 16:53Speaker 1: and he's got this look on his face. It's like
- 16:55Speaker 1: look on his face, like what was going on? Like
- 16:57Speaker 1: he's in a nightmare of some kind and it's just
- 16:59Speaker 1: very wrestlers. John Silver walked by a bunch of other people, officials, staffers,
- 17:06Speaker 1: Tamaso Champa. Then he bumped into Ricochet, who was there
- 17:11Speaker 1: with the Gates of Agony, who do have hair. Ricochet
- 17:14Speaker 1: does not, and Ricochet told him, look, you'll look good, bald,
- 17:19Speaker 1: just not as good as me, and MJF continued on
- 17:22Speaker 1: his way. Speaking of Champa. He was part of the
- 17:25Speaker 1: opening ten men tag team match, which had Shampa, FTR,
- 17:31Speaker 1: Clark Conners, and David Findley against the Young Bucks Adam Copeland,
- 17:37Speaker 1: Christian Cage and Orange Cassidy. Now, for those who don't know,
- 17:42Speaker 1: Adam Copeland lives in Asheville or in Asheville, North Carolina. Tonight,
- 17:46Speaker 1: he lives in Asheville. I think he's lived there for
- 17:49Speaker 1: a long time too, like fifteen years or something like that.
- 17:52Speaker 1: And I believe FTR or at least Dax, I don't
- 17:55Speaker 1: know about Cash, but they also live in Ashville. So
- 17:59Speaker 1: at one point here during the match, when Copeland got
- 18:02Speaker 1: a hot tag in the people went nuts for him.
- 18:06Speaker 1: And the heels worked over Christian's injured forearm for a
- 18:09Speaker 1: little bit. He still has that cast or that wrap
- 18:11Speaker 1: around his arm. Orange Cassidy put Christian's hands in his
- 18:15Speaker 1: pockets for him. They did a little comedy here. Christians
- 18:18Speaker 1: didn't want to have anything to do with this, but
- 18:20Speaker 1: he took Christian's hands, he put them in Christian's pockets. Anyway,
- 18:24Speaker 1: Christian refused to dive through the rope, so instead he
- 18:27Speaker 1: tossed his partner. He tossed Orange Cassidy out over the
- 18:30Speaker 1: top rope onto Champa and Finley on the floor. Christian
- 18:34Speaker 1: then dove out onto Clark Connors himself. Meanwhile, back inside
- 18:38Speaker 1: FTR caught Copeland into a shatter machine for a near
- 18:42Speaker 1: fall that got broken up. And then we got some
- 18:45Speaker 1: rapid fire offense here that saw Connor's take out Christian
- 18:48Speaker 1: with a spear. Copeland then ducked a spear and Connors
- 18:51Speaker 1: hit hardwood. There was a triple super kick on Clark
- 18:54Speaker 1: Connor's from Copeland and the Bucks. Cassidy hit the orange punch,
- 18:58Speaker 1: and then Copeland finished Connor's off off with a spear
- 19:01Speaker 1: to win the match. Your typical aw party match. I
- 19:06Speaker 1: mean if you've seen one of these ten man tag
- 19:07Speaker 1: team matches on this show, You've seen them all. I
- 19:10Speaker 1: mean they all break down in the same way. It's
- 19:12Speaker 1: just boom boom boom, rapid fire offense, a bunch of moves,
- 19:14Speaker 1: a bunch of super kicks. It's kind of hard to
- 19:16Speaker 1: keep track of who's legal, and it doesn't even fucking matter. Basically,
- 19:20Speaker 1: everyone does what they want to do anyway. But the
- 19:22Speaker 1: fans were hot for it. Again. Part of it was
- 19:24Speaker 1: that Copeland has that hometown connection with Ashville, because we've
- 19:28Speaker 1: seen Copeland and Christian on this show some weeks where
- 19:31Speaker 1: crowds are not nearly as odd as they were here tonight,
- 19:34Speaker 1: but they were definitely into this match. Christian was bleeding
- 19:37Speaker 1: from the eye when this match was over. I mean,
- 19:40Speaker 1: nothing too terrible. It didn't look like anything serious. I
- 19:42Speaker 1: didn't see how it happened. I think it might have
- 19:44Speaker 1: happened when he dove out onto the floor, but he Yeah,
- 19:47Speaker 1: they zoomed in on that, and you know, you look
- 19:50Speaker 1: kind of sinister with the blood trickling down the side
- 19:52Speaker 1: of his face. Now, earlier today we went back to
- 19:58Speaker 1: the will Osprey and death stuff. They were on the
- 20:02Speaker 1: roof they were in the middle of a death rider's
- 20:05Speaker 1: training session and Daniel Garcia is talking to the camera.
- 20:09Speaker 1: He says that Osprey has to show him something, and
- 20:14Speaker 1: the fact that it was Daniel Garcia, of all people
- 20:17Speaker 1: who said this was just hilarious to be considering his
- 20:21Speaker 1: win loss record. So Moxley we see him. He is
- 20:26Speaker 1: on the ground with using wheeler uta basically to show
- 20:30Speaker 1: will Osprey the proper way to apply a crossface while
- 20:34Speaker 1: Osprey is doing neck bridges, so he's upside down basically
- 20:39Speaker 1: on his neck watching Moxley as Moxley is trying to
- 20:43Speaker 1: teach him his ways. So then Moxley gets up and
- 20:46Speaker 1: Osprey gets up and they kind of walk off to
- 20:48Speaker 1: a different part of the roof, and Moxley asked him,
- 20:51Speaker 1: do you remember when you won the Best of the
- 20:53Speaker 1: super Juniors, when life was a lot simpler and you
- 20:57Speaker 1: could fly like a bird. They just grab what they
- 21:01Speaker 1: wanted along the way. Because years go by, life happens,
- 21:05Speaker 1: family responsibilities, bad choices catch up with you. The weight
- 21:11Speaker 1: weighs down your shoulders and it feels like you can't
- 21:13Speaker 1: fly anymore. And Moxley tells Osprey nothing is different now.
- 21:17Speaker 1: All those things will still be there. You can still fly.
- 21:21Speaker 1: It's just that Osprey is more dangerous now he's a
- 21:24Speaker 1: bird of prey tonight. Don't go out there to protect anything.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Don't go out there to protect your neck, protect your image,
- 21:32Speaker 1: to protect your reputation. Go out to give something. And
- 21:37Speaker 1: then Moxley turned that, he started yelling at Wheeler Da
- 21:40Speaker 1: and he walked off as Osprey was left standing there
- 21:44Speaker 1: pondering the advice that he was just given. Now, I know,
- 21:48Speaker 1: there's still a lot about this Death Rider's Osprey stuff
- 21:53Speaker 1: that just doesn't really make a whole lot of sense,
- 21:55Speaker 1: And it is very weird. It's very weird to see
- 21:58Speaker 1: him being so subservient and so attentive to all of
- 22:02Speaker 1: this wonderful advice that they and John Moxley are giving him.
- 22:05Speaker 1: But again, it's still fucking weird when you consider that
- 22:09Speaker 1: it was Moxley and the Death Riders who took six
- 22:12Speaker 1: months of his career away from him, who tried to
- 22:17Speaker 1: take his career away from him period. But they're the
- 22:21Speaker 1: ones responsible for him being on the shelf and going
- 22:23Speaker 1: under the knife and being gone for six months and
- 22:26Speaker 1: not knowing whether or not he would ever be able
- 22:28Speaker 1: to make it back into the ring. They took that
- 22:32Speaker 1: from him, and so now here he is every single week,
- 22:37Speaker 1: and you know, he's listening attentively, and he's turning to
- 22:43Speaker 1: them for advice on how to improve and how to
- 22:46Speaker 1: get himself to the place where he wants to be.
- 22:49Speaker 1: And so yes, it is very goofy in that respect. However,
- 22:52Speaker 1: that being said, I've been digging some of these segments
- 22:56Speaker 1: because the thing with Osprey is when we see him
- 22:59Speaker 1: on tel television usually what do you see will Osprey doing?
- 23:04Speaker 1: What is will Ospray good at. Will Ospray is great
- 23:06Speaker 1: at going out there and having banger matches. Will Ospray
- 23:09Speaker 1: is great at going out there and doing all kinds
- 23:11Speaker 1: of fancy moves and getting the crowd behind him and
- 23:13Speaker 1: hitting a hidden blade or three or four or five
- 23:16Speaker 1: or six or eight, popping the crowd, having these great matches. Hear.
- 23:22Speaker 1: What they're trying to do is they're trying to develop
- 23:25Speaker 1: these characters a little bit and tell some semblance of
- 23:28Speaker 1: a story. Because you and I both know where this
- 23:30Speaker 1: man is headed. He is headed for Wembley Stadium. He
- 23:32Speaker 1: is going to be challenging for the World Championship in
- 23:34Speaker 1: the main event of all in this year coming off
- 23:38Speaker 1: a career threatening neck injury. Right, that's an easy story
- 23:42Speaker 1: to understand, But how do you get there? Do you
- 23:46Speaker 1: just go out there every week and have banger matches
- 23:48Speaker 1: or do you try to tell some kind of story here.
- 23:50Speaker 1: They're trying to tell some kind of story here, even Boxley,
- 23:55Speaker 1: I mean, he's going on and on about this this
- 23:57Speaker 1: kind of random stuff sometimes, but even Moxley, they're trying
- 24:00Speaker 1: to at least develop these characters a little bit deeper
- 24:05Speaker 1: than what we are normally accustomed to see. Now. I
- 24:08Speaker 1: can't say it the same for all the other members
- 24:10Speaker 1: of the fucking Death Riders, and it's still weird when
- 24:13Speaker 1: they come out there one week they're supposed to be heals.
- 24:15Speaker 1: The next week they're supposed to be babyfaces because they're
- 24:18Speaker 1: aligned with someone who's a babyface. I don't fucking know.
- 24:21Speaker 1: All I know is the stuff with Moxley and Osprey.
- 24:24Speaker 1: They're trying to tell a story here, which I can
- 24:27Speaker 1: at least appreciate because it has been a criticism, you know,
- 24:30Speaker 1: of Tony's booking in the past when it comes to
- 24:33Speaker 1: some of these characters. So this segment in particular, like
- 24:37Speaker 1: all right, I did what they're trying to do. I'm
- 24:41Speaker 1: still shocked that Boxley is not in the oh and
- 24:44Speaker 1: and they're not building to the two of them. Having
- 24:46Speaker 1: to go toe to toe is like the final test
- 24:49Speaker 1: for Osprey, although that doesn't mean they can't do that
- 24:52Speaker 1: match on some other pay per view between now and then,
- 24:55Speaker 1: But it would have more meaning if it was in
- 24:57Speaker 1: the finals of the tournament. Maybe Tony just doesn't want
- 25:00Speaker 1: it to be that obvious, even though it seems pretty obvious.
- 25:04Speaker 1: We're just gonna get Swerve an Osprey instead the demand.
- 25:11Speaker 1: They were backstage along with the new national champion, Mark Davis,
- 25:16Speaker 1: a round of applause. But Mark Davis, who won his
- 25:22Speaker 1: first singles title on Collision. On the fair Way to
- 25:27Speaker 1: Hell edition of Collision, he had a match with Jack
- 25:30Speaker 1: Perry and Ricochet, who came out there dressed up as
- 25:34Speaker 1: remember when Chavo was the caddie, what was his character,
- 25:37Speaker 1: Kerwin White. He goes away, he walks out there, He's
- 25:40Speaker 1: got a golf club and he hits Jack Perry in
- 25:43Speaker 1: the back with it for the assist. And so Mark
- 25:46Speaker 1: Davis ends up winning the national title, and I'm happy
- 25:49Speaker 1: for the guy for all intents and purposes. This guy
- 25:52Speaker 1: should be sitting in the back doing nothing. They had
- 25:55Speaker 1: him in a tag team. His tag team partner got hurt.
- 25:58Speaker 1: They have all these other members of the Cali family
- 26:00Speaker 1: that you would rank above him. They have. They're just
- 26:03Speaker 1: stockpiled with talent in this company. And Tony Kahn has
- 26:07Speaker 1: given him television time and every time he goes out there,
- 26:09Speaker 1: he goes out there and has these good matches. He's not,
- 26:12Speaker 1: you know, having these match of the year type, you know,
- 26:17Speaker 1: battles every single week like we've been seeing with Darby
- 26:19Speaker 1: Allen the last few weeks. But he's going out there
- 26:21Speaker 1: and he's putting the work in and it's it's fun
- 26:24Speaker 1: to see. And so this was a nice little reward
- 26:27Speaker 1: for him. So now he's got a championship. Now it's
- 26:30Speaker 1: a championship that doesn't really mean much. It's still very new.
- 26:33Speaker 1: It was just established. But I'd still rather see that
- 26:37Speaker 1: title on Mark Davis than see it on Jack Perry.
- 26:41Speaker 1: So Ricochet in the demander backstage with Mark Davis. And
- 26:43Speaker 1: the reason that Davis is with him is because he
- 26:46Speaker 1: is one of the members of the Kallus family that
- 26:49Speaker 1: Don Kallis is basically loaning out to team with them
- 26:53Speaker 1: as part of this stadium Stampede match at double or nothing,
- 26:57Speaker 1: and he goes, not only does he have Mark Davis
- 27:00Speaker 1: on his team, but he's got another member of the
- 27:02Speaker 1: Kallus family, and in walks Andrade l Idelo, who does
- 27:06Speaker 1: not look very enthusiastic to be there. Of course, now
- 27:09Speaker 1: he's being loaned out. He's being loaned out like a whore.
- 27:15Speaker 1: He's being hoared out by Don Kallas. He doesn't want
- 27:19Speaker 1: to have anything to do with this. He wants to
- 27:21Speaker 1: challenge for the championship, but Andrade is going to be
- 27:25Speaker 1: a part of Stadium Stampede. And then Ricochet says he's
- 27:28Speaker 1: going to fill out the remainder of his team with
- 27:31Speaker 1: two men who have an axe to grind with the
- 27:33Speaker 1: young Bucks and in walk the Dogs, and David Finley
- 27:39Speaker 1: says that they're sick of the Bucks and they're going
- 27:41Speaker 1: to settle this once and for all at double or nothing.
- 27:46Speaker 1: So this is going to be seven on seven, which
- 27:50Speaker 1: sounds about right. I mean, I'm trying to remember the
- 27:52Speaker 1: last time they did one of these. If it was,
- 27:56Speaker 1: was it seven on seven, six on six? It had
- 27:59Speaker 1: to be something like that. How many years has it
- 28:02Speaker 1: been since we've had a stadium stampede. Well, I feel
- 28:05Speaker 1: like technically we have one every year because that's basically
- 28:07Speaker 1: what anarchy in the arena is. So this year, because
- 28:11Speaker 1: they're in a stadium, instead of getting anarchy in the arena,
- 28:13Speaker 1: they're just doing stadium stampede. But when was the last
- 28:16Speaker 1: actual formal stadium stampede. I don't know. All I know
- 28:24Speaker 1: is that it's seven on seven. It's gonna be a
- 28:26Speaker 1: clusterfuck on this pay per view, and they've roped Kenny
- 28:28Speaker 1: Omega into this, so it's gonna be Kenny Omega, the
- 28:32Speaker 1: Young Bucks, Jack Perry, Chris Jericho, I would guess the
- 28:35Speaker 1: Hurt syndicate against all seven men that I just mentioned.
- 28:43Speaker 1: After this, we had speedball Mike Bailey, who was accompanied
- 28:47Speaker 1: by his friend, his tag team partner, the TNT champion
- 28:51Speaker 1: Kevin Knight, to take on Westbrook. Vince McMahon stole his
- 28:58Speaker 1: first name, so now he's just Westbrook. I couldn't tell
- 29:02Speaker 1: you what his first name is, but he was just
- 29:04Speaker 1: Westbrook tonight, and poor Westbrook. He went for some sort
- 29:11Speaker 1: of springboard move in this match, and he got all
- 29:16Speaker 1: tangled up in the ropes in very embarrassing fashion. Yeah,
- 29:22Speaker 1: it was not good. Bailey met him in the corner
- 29:25Speaker 1: though with a big spin kick and then beat him
- 29:28Speaker 1: with the Ultimate Weapon for the quick win. I mean
- 29:30Speaker 1: if this went two minutes, I would be shocked. I
- 29:33Speaker 1: mean maybe ninety seconds. So Justin Roberts gets in the
- 29:37Speaker 1: ring and now he's going right into the intro for
- 29:40Speaker 1: Kevin Knight, who has an open challenge coming up for
- 29:43Speaker 1: the TNT Championship. Yes, I see, I don't think we
- 29:47Speaker 1: have enough of these in wrestling. I was very happy
- 29:50Speaker 1: to see that Tony Kahan gave us something that we
- 29:52Speaker 1: don't get to see on a regular basis. We had
- 29:54Speaker 1: ourselves an open challenge here tonight on Dynamite, and I,
- 29:57Speaker 1: for one, we're very excited about this. If I had
- 30:01Speaker 1: to make a list of the top ten things we
- 30:02Speaker 1: need more of in wrestling, and we simply do not
- 30:04Speaker 1: get enough of them, the open challenge would be at
- 30:07Speaker 1: the top of my list. So I was very happy
- 30:09Speaker 1: to see an open challenge tonight and Speedball was still
- 30:13Speaker 1: in the ring, and so I'm thinking, wait, Speedball is
- 30:16Speaker 1: going to accept this open challenge because they've been building
- 30:19Speaker 1: up there's been some frustration. You could tell that there's
- 30:21Speaker 1: frustration from Speedball with Kevin Knight having the title and
- 30:27Speaker 1: you know, being all he's all full of himself every
- 30:31Speaker 1: week when we hear from him, he's too fly. So
- 30:35Speaker 1: I thought that Speedball was going to accept the open
- 30:37Speaker 1: challenge right there on the spot, and so instead of
- 30:43Speaker 1: getting that, well, there'll be time for that. Those two
- 30:45Speaker 1: were definitely going to wrestle for that championship at some point. Instead,
- 30:49Speaker 1: we had the returning Brian Cage looking as jacked as
- 30:55Speaker 1: I've ever seen him, although he has physically been bigger,
- 31:01Speaker 1: but he was jacked as all I mean, he's still huge,
- 31:04Speaker 1: but he was just jacked as all shit. And he
- 31:06Speaker 1: was joined by Lance Archer and rpg Weis, Rocky Romero
- 31:12Speaker 1: and Trent Peretta. This was Brian Cage's return to the
- 31:15Speaker 1: ring for the first time in fourteen months, and immediately
- 31:19Speaker 1: he was doing curls with Kevin Knight, who flipped over
- 31:23Speaker 1: onto his feet. He tried some shoulder tackles that were
- 31:26Speaker 1: not successful. He basically bounced off this man. Later on
- 31:31Speaker 1: night fought back, fought his way back into things with
- 31:35Speaker 1: a springboard missile drop kick and both men were down.
- 31:41Speaker 1: I hope Speedball doesn't go heal. It kind of feels
- 31:46Speaker 1: like we're trending that way, But he's such a geeky
- 31:48Speaker 1: baby face, it's hard for me to imagine him going heel.
- 31:52Speaker 1: I mean, it's possible that he could just get so
- 31:54Speaker 1: frustrated he accepts the open challenge at some point and
- 31:57Speaker 1: they have a friendly exhibition. I mean, you can still
- 32:00Speaker 1: do Kevin Knight's Speedball without Speedball going heel and you know, viciously.
- 32:05Speaker 1: I can't even imagine what kind of heel he would be,
- 32:08Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like he's out there, he's
- 32:09Speaker 1: all zen. He's like the biggest nice guy, you know,
- 32:16Speaker 1: like white meat babyface that they have on that roster.
- 32:19Speaker 1: I can't even imagine him going heel. To be perfectly
- 32:22Speaker 1: honest with you, So if they're gonna do it, I
- 32:25Speaker 1: would just rather it end up being some sort of
- 32:27Speaker 1: friendly open challenge type deal and just leave it alone.
- 32:34Speaker 1: Speedball turns heel and finally puts on boots, and that
- 32:40Speaker 1: would be something. You know, Russev used to wrestle barefoot
- 32:45Speaker 1: and then eventually he ended up wearing boots. It's possible,
- 32:52Speaker 1: but as I said, both men were down Night Dove
- 32:54Speaker 1: out onto Cage on the floor. Cage caught him though,
- 32:57Speaker 1: slammed him onto the steps. He pulled Night back into
- 33:00Speaker 1: the ring with a vertical suplex for a near fall.
- 33:03Speaker 1: Bailey and Archer they started brawling out at ringside. There
- 33:07Speaker 1: was an awkward spot or botch in the corner where
- 33:11Speaker 1: Night went. I think he was going for like the
- 33:13Speaker 1: hr kanana. He was going to try to pull Brian
- 33:17Speaker 1: Cage down to the mat, and something went haywire here
- 33:20Speaker 1: and this fucking guy, Okay, just to show you how
- 33:23Speaker 1: strong he really is, Brian Cage. He by the man's feet,
- 33:30Speaker 1: He pulled him up, he muscled him up. He tried
- 33:33Speaker 1: to salvage this and he muscled him up into a
- 33:35Speaker 1: power bomb position by his feet, and so then Kevin
- 33:39Speaker 1: Knight was able to take him over with a Hurri kanana.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Brian Cage goes flying down to the mat and in
- 33:45Speaker 1: the end Night picked up the wind with the UFO splash.
- 33:50Speaker 1: I mentioned that Brian Cage missed fourteen months because I
- 33:56Speaker 1: saw some people in the chatter earlier going, oh, Tony,
- 34:00Speaker 1: I finally remember the man was employed. Now the guy
- 34:02Speaker 1: was hurt. You could say that about a lot of
- 34:04Speaker 1: people on the roster, Brian Cage is not one of him.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Brian Cage was not on television because Brian Cage has
- 34:09Speaker 1: been injured. Brian Cage tore his squad, had surgery on that,
- 34:15Speaker 1: and then had a full knee replacement. Now I hear that,
- 34:19Speaker 1: I hear nee replacement. You hear about that when people
- 34:21Speaker 1: are retired, right, I'm going to retire and then I'm
- 34:25Speaker 1: gonna get this replaced and I'm gonna get this fixed,
- 34:27Speaker 1: and I'm gonna do this and do that. So when
- 34:29Speaker 1: I heard he was having a full knee replacement, I
- 34:31Speaker 1: mean that to me, I hear that. That sounds career
- 34:33Speaker 1: ending right there. This guy had a full knee replacement,
- 34:38Speaker 1: worked his way back, looks the way he does, goes
- 34:40Speaker 1: out there and didn't really look like he was working
- 34:43Speaker 1: any differently than he normally would. He went out there
- 34:45Speaker 1: and had a hell of a match with Kevin Knight.
- 34:48Speaker 1: So look, I'm happy for the guy. I was following
- 34:51Speaker 1: a little bit along the way on his social media
- 34:53Speaker 1: with you know, kind of his rehab and everything, and
- 34:56Speaker 1: I know he was having a bitch of a time
- 34:57Speaker 1: there for a while, uh, trying to get healthy, and
- 35:00Speaker 1: so I'm happy that he is healthy, and does that
- 35:04Speaker 1: mean that Tony Kahan is going to suddenly start doing
- 35:06Speaker 1: stuff with him on a regular basis? Probably not. Probably not.
- 35:10Speaker 1: The best he could probably hope for is just being
- 35:13Speaker 1: part of the Callus family whenever they come out on television.
- 35:16Speaker 1: So I'm not expecting a miracle here, but it's just
- 35:19Speaker 1: good to see him healthy again and hopefully he can
- 35:21Speaker 1: stay that way because I know that was a very
- 35:25Speaker 1: serious injury situation that he was dealing with. Now, after
- 35:31Speaker 1: the match was over, Mike Bailey took the microphone. He
- 35:37Speaker 1: congratulated Kevin Knight on a hell of a win. Knight
- 35:42Speaker 1: did the same to Bailey. They were being very complimentary
- 35:45Speaker 1: of each other, a little too complimentary. I said, where
- 35:48Speaker 1: is this going? Knight said he still can't get over
- 35:52Speaker 1: losing to Darby Allen. Bailey said, look, you're a future
- 35:55Speaker 1: aw World champion and everybody knows it. And Knight said
- 35:59Speaker 1: that Bail has always been in his corner and someday
- 36:02Speaker 1: Bailey will be champion as well. See, this is where
- 36:05Speaker 1: I thought the challenge was coming for double or nothing,
- 36:09Speaker 1: because neither of these men are in the owen Hart Tournament, which, again,
- 36:13Speaker 1: if you think about it, Mark Davis being in there,
- 36:15Speaker 1: Jack Perry being in there, Like, there's a whole list
- 36:18Speaker 1: of names that you would look at and go, how
- 36:20Speaker 1: come this guy's not in there? How come that guy's
- 36:21Speaker 1: not in there? And the easy answer is Tony doesn't
- 36:23Speaker 1: want to beat him. That's why they're not in there.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Otherwise you'd have Kenny Omega in there. Kevin Knight would
- 36:28Speaker 1: be in there, right, I mean, there's a whole Androte
- 36:30Speaker 1: would be in there. There's a very simple answer. Tony
- 36:33Speaker 1: does not want to beat them. That's why they're not
- 36:35Speaker 1: in there. But because of that, I said, well, maybe
- 36:38Speaker 1: the match at double or Nothing is going to be
- 36:41Speaker 1: speedball against Kevin Knight. And I think it still might be.
- 36:45Speaker 1: But that's not what this was. Bailey said, you know what,
- 36:48Speaker 1: you're right about him being champion one day, And on
- 36:51Speaker 1: that note, he decides to go ahead and call out
- 36:54Speaker 1: the winner of tonight's main event between Darby Allen and
- 36:59Speaker 1: Kenoski takesh They said Takeshta was his greatest rival in Japan,
- 37:04Speaker 1: but they have yet to meet one on one in
- 37:06Speaker 1: aaw and Darby, as much as he would like to
- 37:10Speaker 1: see MJF. Bald, he's coming for that AAW World Championship.
- 37:16Speaker 1: So we're not done yet with these Darby title matches.
- 37:19Speaker 1: These title matches are going to continue, and we are
- 37:22Speaker 1: going to get Speedball against Darby Allen. I guess next
- 37:25Speaker 1: week on Dynamite that's where we're headed, and then it'll
- 37:28Speaker 1: be interesting when Speedball loses. Is that what kind of
- 37:33Speaker 1: sends him over the edge? I feel like what we're
- 37:37Speaker 1: going to get at the pay per view is probably
- 37:40Speaker 1: going to be Speedball and Mike Bailey. But to the
- 37:44Speaker 1: point that the other person just made a little while ago,
- 37:47Speaker 1: I don't know that that means Bailey has to go Heal. Honestly,
- 37:50Speaker 1: of the two of them, if anybody was going to
- 37:52Speaker 1: go Heal, the one who's kind of full of himself
- 37:54Speaker 1: and it would make more sense for him to go
- 37:55Speaker 1: Heal would be Kevin Knight. I just feel like of
- 37:59Speaker 1: the two, Kevin Knight would make a better Heal than Speedball.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Would we go to Jack Perry backstage, He's got his knife.
- 38:10Speaker 1: He says that Mark Davis is no champion to him.
- 38:12Speaker 1: It took somebody else hitting him in the back with
- 38:14Speaker 1: a golf club for Davis to win that title from him.
- 38:18Speaker 1: Perry told him though, bring all your friends a double
- 38:20Speaker 1: or nothing. But after the pay per view, two of
- 38:23Speaker 1: us are going to meet in the Owen Heart Tournament
- 38:25Speaker 1: for the right to challenge for the aw World title,
- 38:28Speaker 1: and that man is going to be him. And if
- 38:31Speaker 1: you don't like that, he says, fuck you. Got some
- 38:37Speaker 1: news on Jack Perry David Shoemaker. If you don't know
- 38:43Speaker 1: who David Shoemaker is, I know he's got a podcast
- 38:46Speaker 1: and he pops up in these WWE documentaries all the time.
- 38:51Speaker 1: David Shoemaker is saying that Jack Perry is about to
- 38:53Speaker 1: be a free agent and could possibly be WWE bound.
- 38:59Speaker 1: This is the first I'm hearing of this, so I
- 39:01Speaker 1: was a little taken aback. We've heard a lot about
- 39:04Speaker 1: Anna j. I haven't heard this about Jack Perry and
- 39:07Speaker 1: A Jay. There's been a lot of talk about Anna
- 39:09Speaker 1: Jay's contract being up soon and how she might pursue
- 39:12Speaker 1: a career, maybe in WWE or go to NXT, so
- 39:16Speaker 1: I've heard her name mentioned. This is the first time
- 39:18Speaker 1: I'm hearing the same for Jack Perry, and I mean
- 39:23Speaker 1: it's very hard, not impossible, but it's very hard to
- 39:26Speaker 1: imagine Jack Perry and Cmpunk both being employed yet again
- 39:32Speaker 1: by the same company. But I suppose there's a chance
- 39:36Speaker 1: that it could very well happen. I find it very
- 39:38Speaker 1: hard to believe. I find it very hard to believe
- 39:41Speaker 1: that he would leave. But this is the chatter that's
- 39:44Speaker 1: out there. We'll see. Are we looking at his story
- 39:48Speaker 1: in these next few months where both Jack Perry and
- 39:50Speaker 1: Anna j jump ship and go to WWE. I don't know,
- 39:54Speaker 1: but that's the word on the street. At least according
- 39:57Speaker 1: to mister Shoemaker. He's about to be a free agent
- 39:59Speaker 1: as something changes very soon. Brawl out too, says Indra.
- 40:05Speaker 1: Can you imagine they just happened to be walking down
- 40:08Speaker 1: the hallway backstage one day at the same time. Oh man,
- 40:16Speaker 1: I just I've tried to like visualize this. I'm like, uh,
- 40:20Speaker 1: I don't know. Brawl out too, electric Bugaloo. Yes, put
- 40:28Speaker 1: that on Unreal. I want to see that first face
- 40:32Speaker 1: to face meeting on the next season of Unreal. Will
- 40:39Speaker 1: ospray he went one on one on this show with Steve,
- 40:43Speaker 1: Steve Austin, with Ace. I wish with Ace Austen uh Osprey,
- 40:49Speaker 1: he may have slowed things down a little bit here.
- 40:51Speaker 1: I was watching to see how different his in ring
- 40:53Speaker 1: style would be with all these training vignettes, and I
- 40:57Speaker 1: know Moxley told him on the roof earlier in the
- 41:00Speaker 1: show like you can still fly, but now you're going
- 41:02Speaker 1: to be more dangerous. But still I thought, Okay, well,
- 41:05Speaker 1: maybe maybe they'll they'll show like, oh, this is a
- 41:10Speaker 1: different well Ospray again. Maybe he slowed things down a
- 41:13Speaker 1: little bit, but it's the same well Ospray. He's doing
- 41:15Speaker 1: all of his you know, aerial moves. He did the
- 41:18Speaker 1: fucking sky twister press. All the stuff that you would
- 41:21Speaker 1: expect him to do he was doing here. In this match,
- 41:25Speaker 1: Austin attacked Ospbury's neck. During the commercial break, Ospbury landed
- 41:30Speaker 1: an oscutter for a near fall. Yeah, yes, Manny, Yes.
- 41:40Speaker 1: He went for a hidden blade, but Austin avoided it
- 41:43Speaker 1: and both men were battling on the ropes, which led
- 41:45Speaker 1: to Austin diving into a sitout power bomb for a
- 41:48Speaker 1: near fall. Eventually, Ospbury connected with the hidden blade and
- 41:52Speaker 1: a running kick to the injured arm. He was working
- 41:54Speaker 1: over Austin's injured arm during the match, and then he
- 41:57Speaker 1: got a flying cross arm bar applied and Austin immediately
- 42:02Speaker 1: tapped out. So that I guess would be the big
- 42:05Speaker 1: thing in this match him working over a body part.
- 42:08Speaker 1: He was working over the arm. He won with the
- 42:10Speaker 1: arm bar, so that was something that you ordinarily would
- 42:13Speaker 1: not see. I thought, I mean, silly me. I thought
- 42:17Speaker 1: maybe there was a chance he would tone down some
- 42:19Speaker 1: of the other stuff, save it for like the big matches.
- 42:21Speaker 1: But it's basically will Osbury, but now with some submission
- 42:25Speaker 1: stuff incorporated into his arsenal to go with the training
- 42:29Speaker 1: that he's been receiving from the Death Riders. Because Austin
- 42:33Speaker 1: tapped out right away, he didn't wait, He's like, you know,
- 42:35Speaker 1: fucking my arm up and he immediately tapped out. But
- 42:39Speaker 1: they went fifteen minutes with this, and you know, maybe
- 42:41Speaker 1: they could have shaved a few minutes off of it.
- 42:43Speaker 1: But I thought it was a very good match and
- 42:46Speaker 1: the best showing yet for Ace Austin in an aw ring.
- 42:49Speaker 1: He does not get a lot of airtime on Dynamite.
- 42:55Speaker 1: I'd like to see him get a little bit more,
- 42:56Speaker 1: but there's only so much real estate to go around,
- 42:59Speaker 1: and he's just not someone who's focused on right now,
- 43:02Speaker 1: so you're not going to get to see him on
- 43:03Speaker 1: this show every year. Every now and then in a
- 43:05Speaker 1: match like this where he can go out there and
- 43:08Speaker 1: show what he can do, but just to get beat
- 43:10Speaker 1: by somebody else, that's probably the best he could hope for.
- 43:13Speaker 1: But I thought he made the most of the time
- 43:15Speaker 1: he was given and they had a very good match here.
- 43:17Speaker 1: And when it was over, the two men shook hands.
- 43:20Speaker 1: That outcomes Samoa, Joe and the Ops minus Hook. He
- 43:26Speaker 1: was not there. He was upset that he never heard
- 43:30Speaker 1: back from Osprey all the inquiries about him potentially joining
- 43:33Speaker 1: the Ops. But now fate has put them in the
- 43:36Speaker 1: ring together one on one, and the opener of the
- 43:39Speaker 1: owen Hart Tournament, Joe said, you know, you could have
- 43:41Speaker 1: had a buye in the opening round, because that's what
- 43:45Speaker 1: he does for his friends. But Ospray made his choice.
- 43:48Speaker 1: Now he gets to suffer the consequences of that choice.
- 43:53Speaker 1: Joe said that he had his date with Destiny, so
- 43:55Speaker 1: he would leave him alone for tonight. But his friends,
- 43:58Speaker 1: he doesn't put a leash on them. But the Death
- 44:01Speaker 1: Riders they made their way out, they surrounded the ring.
- 44:04Speaker 1: They basically acted, you might say, as a shield for
- 44:08Speaker 1: will Ospray and the Ops backed off. At that point,
- 44:12Speaker 1: Moxley was looking at Osprey. Osprey was looking at Moxley.
- 44:17Speaker 1: It's quite amazing, isn't it. They went from bitter rivals
- 44:20Speaker 1: and Osprey wanted to murder this man to now they're
- 44:22Speaker 1: like BFFs every week on television. It's quite the transformation.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Rene was backstage with Don Kallis and Knoski Takeshta ahead
- 44:34Speaker 1: of tonight's main event. Callous said that Takesha will be
- 44:37Speaker 1: heading into double or nothing as the AEW world champion.
- 44:41Speaker 1: What's going on? Hired gun So MJF walks in and
- 44:46Speaker 1: he puts over Takeshtay. He's talking him up and he says,
- 44:50Speaker 1: you know, I can't think of a better idea than
- 44:52Speaker 1: Takeshta versus MJF two, and he shakes Takeshta's Hey, yeah,
- 44:57Speaker 1: I forgot they wrestled. When did they wrestle? Though had
- 45:04Speaker 1: to be a few years ago. Takesha says something in
- 45:08Speaker 1: Japanese and then he leaves and Callus says to MJF, oh,
- 45:12Speaker 1: it's a good pep talk, and MJF gussie, I didn't
- 45:15Speaker 1: believe a word of it, or don't believe a word
- 45:18Speaker 1: of it. I didn't mean any of it. He goes,
- 45:19Speaker 1: I'm having a panic attack here. I don't want to
- 45:22Speaker 1: end up looking like some bald freak. No offense to
- 45:26Speaker 1: Don caallus, he says, So he gave Callous a dynamite
- 45:30Speaker 1: diamond ring to use tonight if necessary. Andrade walks in.
- 45:35Speaker 1: MJF leaves and Andrade is telling Don Callas and signaling
- 45:41Speaker 1: that he wants to come after the AW World title.
- 45:45Speaker 1: And so I hear him say this, and I just think,
- 45:47Speaker 1: you know, if only there was a tournament that was
- 45:51Speaker 1: about to start for a shot at the AW World Championship,
- 45:58Speaker 1: wouldn't that be a great play for androde to be
- 46:01Speaker 1: given that he wants to win the championship so badly.
- 46:06Speaker 1: If only there was a tournament about to begin, I
- 46:09Speaker 1: think that would have been the perfect spot for Androtte.
- 46:11Speaker 1: It's too bad, It's too bad. He should be upset
- 46:17Speaker 1: that Don Challis picked Mark Davis to be in this tournament.
- 46:22Speaker 1: You know, Don Challis had some poll with which one
- 46:24Speaker 1: of his guys was going to be in the tournament.
- 46:26Speaker 1: Mark Davis is in there, and Androtti is on the
- 46:28Speaker 1: outside looking. He should be upset about that. So Renee
- 46:34Speaker 1: was backstage after a break with the Conglomeration Kyle O'Reilly
- 46:40Speaker 1: says that Roddy and Orange Cassidy they should be going
- 46:43Speaker 1: after the tag team titles because, if you remember, the
- 46:45Speaker 1: Conglomeration is out of shot at the tag belts. So
- 46:51Speaker 1: Kyle says that he's going to go after singles gold
- 46:54Speaker 1: because John Moxley has the Continental Championship, which I gotta
- 46:57Speaker 1: tell you, I completely forgot about that fucking belt. You know.
- 47:01Speaker 1: Mosley was kind of like in the Darby role where
- 47:04Speaker 1: he was defending that title or not maybe not defending it,
- 47:06Speaker 1: but he was at least having eliminator matches every week,
- 47:10Speaker 1: and that kind of slowed down now and I just
- 47:13Speaker 1: totally forgot. Oh yeah, that's right. He's got that fucking
- 47:16Speaker 1: Continental belt. And Kyle points out that he's tapped out
- 47:19Speaker 1: Moxley before and so he wants a shot at the
- 47:22Speaker 1: Continental championship. Willow Nightingale is with them. She's also part
- 47:26Speaker 1: of the conglomeration, and she says that she too has goals.
- 47:30Speaker 1: She pulls out her TBS Championship. She says she's also
- 47:33Speaker 1: won the owen Hart Tournament before and so she'll do
- 47:36Speaker 1: it again and she'll have all the gold. And then
- 47:39Speaker 1: Mark Briscoe showed up and so he's back and he
- 47:45Speaker 1: challenged Tomaso Champa to a match on Dynamite. Next week
- 47:49Speaker 1: we had the Triangle of Madness Tekla Julia Hart sky
- 47:52Speaker 1: Blue taking on the brawling Birds Jamie Hayter and Alex
- 47:55Speaker 1: Windsor and Hikarushida. The match broke down into a brawl
- 48:00Speaker 1: right out of the gate. Late in the match, Hater
- 48:02Speaker 1: and Windsor they hit a double team thrust kick facebuster
- 48:06Speaker 1: combo on Tecla. They were setting up for their two Birds,
- 48:09Speaker 1: one stone finish. Tecla escaped, sky Blue entered. She went
- 48:13Speaker 1: for a Code Blue. Windsor, though was able to avoid it.
- 48:17Speaker 1: So the Birds were setting up for two Birds one stone. Tecla, though,
- 48:20Speaker 1: grabs the aw Women's World Championship and hits Jamie Hayter
- 48:23Speaker 1: with it for the disqualification. The lame disqualification, and after
- 48:29Speaker 1: the match, Hater and Windsor they were attacked three on
- 48:32Speaker 1: two because she'd have bailed, She's like, I'm out of here,
- 48:36Speaker 1: and as she's leaving, we see Willow and thunder Rosa
- 48:39Speaker 1: and Mina Sirkawa. They all run out to make the save.
- 48:43Speaker 1: Somewhere in this one of the referees got misted by
- 48:47Speaker 1: Julia Hart. I didn't see which referee was. I mean,
- 48:53Speaker 1: this was decent enough stuff. This existed for one reason.
- 48:57Speaker 1: The whole purpose of this was to get to the
- 48:59Speaker 1: end of the match where Tecla could hit Jamie Hayter
- 49:02Speaker 1: with the championship, because Jamie Hayter is one of the
- 49:05Speaker 1: women challenging her for the title. At the pay per view,
- 49:08Speaker 1: there is going to be a four way for the
- 49:10Speaker 1: women's world title. Tecla will be defending against Chris Statlander,
- 49:13Speaker 1: against Jamie Hayter, and against Karashida, and something's gonna happen
- 49:18Speaker 1: there between Statlander and Shida because they've really been teasing
- 49:22Speaker 1: it out and building to it for a while. I
- 49:25Speaker 1: can't imagine Tecla drops the belt in this four way,
- 49:29Speaker 1: but I also I don't I'm trying to think back
- 49:33Speaker 1: what pay per view is that where Statlander won the
- 49:36Speaker 1: world title from Tony Storm. Was that all out? I
- 49:40Speaker 1: think it might have been all out. It was all
- 49:41Speaker 1: out of Wrestle Dream last year, and I don't know
- 49:44Speaker 1: that I was expecting that. So look, you can't rule
- 49:48Speaker 1: it out Shida winning the belt, though I don't know
- 49:53Speaker 1: that I see that hater. Hater's going after the tag belts,
- 49:58Speaker 1: and then you got Statler, who's got her story going
- 50:01Speaker 1: with Shida. I feel like they kind of cancel each
- 50:03Speaker 1: other out. Techla's not losing Techl's not losing that belt.
- 50:10Speaker 1: But they closed the show Darby Allen defending the aw
- 50:16Speaker 1: World Championship again. They said his fifth defense in like
- 50:18Speaker 1: three weeks. It was supposed to be against Okada was unavailable,
- 50:23Speaker 1: so tonight it was Kenoski Takeshta. Now, Renee was at ringside.
- 50:27Speaker 1: They do this gimmick now for some of the matches,
- 50:29Speaker 1: where as the person is making their entrance, Rene is
- 50:32Speaker 1: at ringside, like the roving sideline reporter, which is kind
- 50:36Speaker 1: of cool. It's something different, you know. I will I
- 50:39Speaker 1: will never fault any of these companies for trying something different.
- 50:43Speaker 1: I just hope that when they try something different and
- 50:45Speaker 1: it sucks, they don't do it again, like that dumb
- 50:50Speaker 1: press conference segment with Hangman and MJF a few months ago.
- 50:55Speaker 1: Don't ever do that again, please. But then again, you
- 50:59Speaker 1: also have collision last weekend on a fucking indoor golf course,
- 51:05Speaker 1: which I guess some people thought was stupid or bushel.
- 51:08Speaker 1: I mean I saw some dumb comments. I mean, I
- 51:11Speaker 1: thought it was fine. I thought it was fucking great.
- 51:13Speaker 1: I love it when they try wacky new locations like that.
- 51:17Speaker 1: I don't want them to be dissuaded from it. It's
- 51:19Speaker 1: not something you could do all the time, but it
- 51:21Speaker 1: was something. It was something different, and I thought it
- 51:24Speaker 1: looked cool. So sometimes you try stuff that works, sometimes
- 51:29Speaker 1: you try stuff that doesn't. Anyway, she's at ringside reminding
- 51:32Speaker 1: us that two years ago Ta kesh to beat Darby,
- 51:37Speaker 1: and we also got footage of the title match from
- 51:40Speaker 1: the Fairway to Hell show I just mentioned where Darby
- 51:42Speaker 1: beat Pack. So Darby here a quick dropkick to the outside.
- 51:48Speaker 1: He tried for a toe pay. He got caught though,
- 51:51Speaker 1: and he got sent into the ring. Post By takeshda.
- 51:57Speaker 1: It's a big back body drop that sent Darby back
- 52:00Speaker 1: out to the floor. Callous was showing off that he
- 52:02Speaker 1: was wearing mjf's diamond ring on his finger. So, by
- 52:06Speaker 1: the way, that reminds me. I saw something on Bianca
- 52:11Speaker 1: bel Air's Instagram. She got her I guess, her wedding
- 52:16Speaker 1: band back. She had to have her ring resized because
- 52:21Speaker 1: her finger. Her finger is actually wider now than her thumb.
- 52:26Speaker 1: So she had to have her ring resize from a
- 52:28Speaker 1: size seven and a half to a size ten because
- 52:32Speaker 1: of all the swelling in the finger, which I don't
- 52:34Speaker 1: think is ever going away. I think I think her
- 52:37Speaker 1: finger is healing, but the swelling like as fat as
- 52:40Speaker 1: the finger looks now, that will never go away. But
- 52:43Speaker 1: think about that, she went from a ring size of
- 52:46Speaker 1: seven and a half to ten in that finger with
- 52:51Speaker 1: the with the knuckle the joint that she broke. It's crazy.
- 52:57Speaker 1: So Takesha. He took the ring steps outside and he
- 53:00Speaker 1: was repositioning them and he wanted a power drive knee
- 53:05Speaker 1: into the steps. Darby moved though and takeshta collided knee
- 53:09Speaker 1: two steps, which I'm sure was not fun. Darby launched
- 53:13Speaker 1: off the steps with a shotgun dropkick. Then he got in.
- 53:16Speaker 1: He had a wild tall pay and he even crashed
- 53:20Speaker 1: into the announced table himself on the landing. So both
- 53:24Speaker 1: men fought to the apron. Darby wanted to cough and
- 53:26Speaker 1: splash from the ropes. He got caught though, into a
- 53:30Speaker 1: blue thunderbomb from the apron to the floor. He went
- 53:36Speaker 1: splat on the ground and I'm like, holy fuck man,
- 53:43Speaker 1: what are you doing so. Then later on in the
- 53:47Speaker 1: match l Clone, he walks out and he is a
- 53:53Speaker 1: running distraction with the referee. This allowed Don Callus to
- 53:56Speaker 1: hand to Cash the diamond ring he wanted him to
- 53:58Speaker 1: use it. Takesha's pop undering this and he's debating, you
- 54:02Speaker 1: know what he should do, and he's like, I'm not
- 54:05Speaker 1: using this. He throws the ring away and Callous is
- 54:08Speaker 1: just beside himself. Takesha wanted an Avalanche Blue thunderbomb. Darby
- 54:13Speaker 1: fought out of it though into an Avalanche Code red
- 54:16Speaker 1: and then into the last Supper for a close near fo.
- 54:19Speaker 1: He's won many matches with that, but not this one,
- 54:23Speaker 1: so I Takeshta wanted a brainbuster on the steps. Darby
- 54:26Speaker 1: slipped out into a Scorpion death drop on the steps
- 54:30Speaker 1: and then he went up top for a coffin drop
- 54:32Speaker 1: to the floor Takeshta, though he kicked out back inside.
- 54:36Speaker 1: Darby went for another coffin drop. Takesha got the knees
- 54:38Speaker 1: up power drive knee connects. Takeshta wants a power bomb.
- 54:44Speaker 1: Darby counters out of it though into a Scorpion deathlock
- 54:47Speaker 1: and I'm like, don't fucking tap out to this he's
- 54:50Speaker 1: not even leaning back all the way. He's one hundred
- 54:51Speaker 1: and fifty pounds. Don't tap out to this fucking move. Please,
- 54:55Speaker 1: I just I couldn't stand the thought of it. Please
- 54:59Speaker 1: don't let the match end this way. Be ridiculous. Yeah,
- 55:02Speaker 1: how many things we've seen to cash the kick out
- 55:04Speaker 1: of in big matches over the years. It's gonna tap
- 55:07Speaker 1: out to a fucking half assed scorpion deathlock from this guy.
- 55:10Speaker 1: Give me a break, Tomas says. Tomas says, I think
- 55:18Speaker 1: Darby is mentally insane. You're only now figuring this out.
- 55:23Speaker 1: He's been in this company for seven years. How come
- 55:25Speaker 1: it took you so long. I knew that from the
- 55:28Speaker 1: first time I saw him, and he took that coffin
- 55:30Speaker 1: drop on the apron in that match with Cody Rhodes,
- 55:34Speaker 1: which I think was on the first Dynamite. Actually, no,
- 55:37Speaker 1: it wasn't on the first night. Wasn't the first night
- 55:38Speaker 1: of it. No, it wasn't. No, No, Cody and I
- 55:44Speaker 1: think Cody and Sammy wrestled. No, you know what it was.
- 55:47Speaker 1: I believe it was a month or two after the
- 55:50Speaker 1: first double or nothing, and it was like fight for
- 55:53Speaker 1: the Fallen or some kind of special I think that's
- 55:55Speaker 1: where it was. And Cody was on the apron laying there,
- 56:00Speaker 1: and Darby came off with a coffin drop and Cody
- 56:02Speaker 1: rolled out of the way and he hit the fucking
- 56:04Speaker 1: edge of the ring and fell to the floor, and
- 56:06Speaker 1: I'm like, what the fuck is wrong with this guy?
- 56:08Speaker 1: That was my first exposure to Darby Allen, so I've
- 56:12Speaker 1: known since twenty nineteen this guy was out of his mind.
- 56:14Speaker 1: Fighter Fest, thank you. I thought it was Fight for
- 56:16Speaker 1: the Fallen. It was fighter Fest. Yeah, I get them
- 56:21Speaker 1: mixed up too. Anyway, Thankfully Takeshta. He got to the
- 56:29Speaker 1: ropes for the rope break, but he was in perfect
- 56:32Speaker 1: position for Darby to go up and hit not one
- 56:35Speaker 1: but two coffin drops and he got the pin. I
- 56:40Speaker 1: could accept that if you would have tapped out in
- 56:42Speaker 1: that scorpion depth dry that death luck. I couldn't accept that.
- 56:46Speaker 1: So after the match, Darby demanded that MJF get his
- 56:50Speaker 1: ass out here. This How long was this over? It
- 56:52Speaker 1: was like a fifteen minute overrun tonight. So he demands
- 56:56Speaker 1: that he comes out to the ring to sign the
- 56:58Speaker 1: contract for double or nothing, and they have a bunch
- 57:01Speaker 1: of workers at ringside that are very quickly getting like
- 57:04Speaker 1: a table in the ring and the contract and the
- 57:06Speaker 1: office chair and everything. So mjf's music hits and he
- 57:11Speaker 1: walks out to the ring very reluctantly, and he signs
- 57:16Speaker 1: the contract. Darby does right away. MJFS taking a long
- 57:21Speaker 1: look at the contract and he steps back into the corner.
- 57:24Speaker 1: Ex Caliber on Commentary says it's only hair. It'll grow back,
- 57:29Speaker 1: and Taz says, well, yeah, but it cost him a
- 57:31Speaker 1: lot of money. So MJF took a seat, and Darby said,
- 57:36Speaker 1: he said, Darby looks like he has rabies because there's
- 57:40Speaker 1: a small part of him, kind of like all the
- 57:42Speaker 1: dicks of all the men here in Asheville, just a
- 57:45Speaker 1: small part of him that feels bad for Darby because
- 57:49Speaker 1: you're never gonna hold that championship ever. Again, says Darby
- 57:53Speaker 1: has about as good as a shot at holding onto
- 57:55Speaker 1: that belt as hangman Adam Page does. MJF calls Darby
- 58:00Speaker 1: a diamond dozen stunt men. His legacy is that of
- 58:03Speaker 1: a kid who had fifteen minutes of fame. People will
- 58:06Speaker 1: pretend that he's made an impact when he hasn't. The
- 58:09Speaker 1: fans know deep down that Darby is just a prick
- 58:11Speaker 1: who got lucky, who's too reckless and too stupid to
- 58:15Speaker 1: stay on top. Double or nothing, mjf's legacy will be
- 58:20Speaker 1: the three time world champion at just thirty years of age,
- 58:24Speaker 1: the greatest of all time. Darby likes to brag about
- 58:27Speaker 1: climbing the mountaintop, or to the mountaintop. MJF is the mountain,
- 58:33Speaker 1: so Darby said, only someone who is so vain would
- 58:36Speaker 1: be worried about his legacy. Darby just cares about living
- 58:39Speaker 1: in the moment. So sign the contract and at double
- 58:43Speaker 1: or nothing, I'll make you a bald headed bitch. MJF
- 58:47Speaker 1: signs the contract. He holds up the contract binder and
- 58:50Speaker 1: then he takes Darby down and he starts raining, blows
- 58:54Speaker 1: down upon him. Then he gets up. He blasts Darby
- 58:58Speaker 1: in the head with the dynamite diamond ring and he
- 59:01Speaker 1: holds up the world title. And he was about to leave.
- 59:04Speaker 1: He came back to the ring and he was going
- 59:07Speaker 1: to go for an avalanche. Tombstone got him in positioned
- 59:11Speaker 1: for it. All he had to do was jump. Instead,
- 59:14Speaker 1: he puts him back down and he flees. When he
- 59:16Speaker 1: sees Kevin Knight, who runs out for the save and
- 59:20Speaker 1: that is how things ended. So the match, this was
- 59:23Speaker 1: just an absolute car crash of a match. I mean,
- 59:27Speaker 1: every insane bump that you could think of that Darby
- 59:30Speaker 1: could take, he took none bigger to me anyway than
- 59:34Speaker 1: the blue thunderbomb off the apron. God, that's got to
- 59:38Speaker 1: knock the wind right at you. That has got to
- 59:41Speaker 1: knock the wind at you, Alonge, I've had that happen
- 59:43Speaker 1: to me before too, where you're not ready for it.
- 59:48Speaker 1: In my case, you're not ready for it and then
- 59:50Speaker 1: I can't breathe for like fifteen seconds. So scary at
- 59:53Speaker 1: fucking feeling. But anyway, so I guess that just brought
- 59:56Speaker 1: back bad memories for me. You guys went out there,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: and I got to say, they put on a hell
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: of a show. And you could say whatever you want
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: about Darby Allen and what you think about him being
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: the world champion and all that and his reckless style.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: He has gone out there each of these last few weeks,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: and week in and week out he's putting on exciting
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: title fights. It is the best short run that anybody
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: has had in the history of this promotion with that championship,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: considering he's only had the belt for what three or
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: four weeks? What do you He won the belt on
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: April fifteenth, so he's had the belt for about a month.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: Find me another world title run in aw where in
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: the span of those first four weeks you've had somebody
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: go out there and defend the title like this every
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: single week, you know, and again some credible names too,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: and go out there and have these banger matches that
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: he's been having every single week, you know. So the
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: matches have been a lot of fun, but the keyword
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: there is short, short title run. So far he can't
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: keep going on like this. It's not sustainable to believe
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: that Darby would be going out there for another four, six,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: eight weeks, twelve weeks, go to London defend against Ospring
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: and continue doing this and having matches every week and
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: putting his body through the stuff that he's putting his
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: body through week in a week, even storyline wise, it
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: just doesn't make sense. It's not sustainable. So no matter
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: how hard they try to convince you that MJF is
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: going to lose his hair at double or nothing, I
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: can't buy into it. It's just it's unrealistic to me.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: Darby is wrestling these matches like someone who knows he's
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: on borrowed time because he is. And again MJF, they
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: always mock him and talk about him going to Turkey
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: and paying for this hair transplant or whatever it was
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: that he did. He did pay a lot of money
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: for it. I wouldn't want to shave my head if
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: I were him. The fuck would I want to do
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: that for? I don't give a shit how long it
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: takes to grow back. I have to tell you, if
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: it wasn't for if it wasn't for that stipulation, I
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: could buy into the idea that Darby might just win
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: and they might have him hold on to it a
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: little bit longer, maybe even until like Forbidden Door or something.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: But once they added the hair stipulation, to me, that
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: was the giveaway. Yeah, if you weren't already convinced that
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: MJF was getting the belt back in New York, I
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: feel like once they added that stipulation, it became pretty
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: clear about who was going to walk into I presume
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: walk into Wembley. I mean, I certainly wouldn't have the
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: belt switch back to MJF just to have him lose
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: it before Wembley. I mean that would be dumb. So anyway,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: that was Dynamite tonight, a more enjoyable show than the
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: show we had last week. I know, I'm a horrible,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: terrible person according to some people, I guess for saying
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: anything remotely negative last week about that show, because every
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: Dynamite is the best Dynamite of all time. Like I
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: know that, I know, But I saw a little bit
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: of that brain rot last week. But I did not
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: have fun with that show last week the way that
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: I did this week. So I wonder if I'll hear
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: from those people now, now that I've praised this show
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: more than I did last week. I wonder I wonder
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: if I'll hear from those people. You want bald solo Monster, Well,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know. Give it another five or
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: ten years, you'll probably get bald solo Monster. Happens to
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: all of us, doesn't it. It's inevitable. Otherwise, No, you
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: are not getting bald solo Monster. Maybe maybe i'll maybe
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: I'll dress up for a Halloween. I'll put the bald
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: cap on. You'll get bald solo Monster, or do rag
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: solom monster. Maybe we'll do that for Halloween. Anyway, let
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: me do a quick check. Here. The wheel the Wheel
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: o Fortune that we spun earlier said three point fifty.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: We are currently at four hundred, so give yourselves a
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: round of applause. We will be doing be the Booker,
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: but that's for later. Right now, we got other business
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: to transact here. We got some questions and comments to
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: go through from all of you. I'm gonna go through
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: your super chats, so if you've got something to say,
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: get them on in. Thank you as always for the
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: support and all the love. I appreciate it. Solo Monster
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: for Halloween will go as do rag Vince. Thank you, Sarah.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: I think I'm fair, but again, some people, if you're
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: not one extreme where the other you're, you're a hater.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: You're on the payroll. It's just I just, I just
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: I can't have a laugh at it. At this point,
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: I feel like I'm on so many payrolls. I don't
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: even have to do these streams anymore. I could just
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: retire just based off all the payrolls that apparently I'm on. Mysteriously,
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: Joseph Stewart, Happy Wednesday to you, brother, and he says
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: happy fortieth birthday to the Batman. Robert Pattinson. It is
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: is forty fortieth. Huh. The guy from Twilight is forty
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: years old. It's hard to believe Jack Perry as Tarzan
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: in NXT. Yeah. Yeah, he'd have to change his name,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: wouldn't he. Hmm. He says both The Batman and the
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: Superman sequel Man of Tomorrow have started filming right now. Well,
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: I would hope. So. I think The Batman is due
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: out next year, isn't it. Have you seen Matt Reeves
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: post where he posted a screen test of the Batmobile? Yes,
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: I did, driving in the snow? I did see that
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: because the Batman Part two takes place in the winter.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: I gathered that from the snow. Said, also, you confirm
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: that Robert Pattinson has started filming. What are you looking
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: forward to the most in the Batman Part two? Well,
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: I mean, I guess if he's in it the Joker.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: What is your favorite color that the Undertaker wore? Black
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: and gray or black and purple? You know, it's funny.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: I haven't affinity for both, but I always go back
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: to the og black and gray. Why do some people
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: think Stone Cold Steve Austin was not as popular as
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: Hulk Hogan was because they're either too young, or they're
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: just being a naive. I mean, you can quibble over
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: who you put at number one and who you put
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: a number two, but to say he wasn't as popular
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: is just not true. It's just demonstrably false. Where does
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: Andre the Giant rank as the most recognized wrestler ever,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: one of the most recognized wrestlers ever. I don't know
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: where he ranks, so I'm not going to do a
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: sudden ranking, but you know, Hogan is number one. You
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: got the Rock obviously, because the Rock now is a big, worldwide,
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: globally known Hollywood star. So Hogan, Rock Sena, and then
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: I would go Andre. Maybe Andre would come after those guys.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: His name is still mentioned even people who probably don't
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: even know who he is. You probably get like an
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: Andre the Giant mentioned in pop culture every now and then,
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: and I would say he's still pretty well known. He's
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: become this like mythical figure over the years, which I
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: guess is kind of cool. What if Yoko Zuna joined
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: WCW in the late nineties, then he would have done
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: the job for Hulk Hogan, and Hogan would have gotten
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: his win back. There were reports that Hogan was trying
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: to get him into WCW so that he could get
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: his win back, but it just didn't work out. This
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: probably would have been around ninety eight or so after
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: he left. The reason that he left. He was under
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: contract with WWE until I think May of ninety eight.
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: Even though you didn't see him on TV at all
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: in ninety seven, he was still technically under contract with them,
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: but he was just so morbidly obese they couldn't do
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: anything with him. You know, a lot of commissions weren't
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: going to clear him to wrestle. It's like, well, if
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: you're not gonna lose the weight, there's not much we
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: can do with you. I don't think it would have
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: been any different with WCW. There was no way. There
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: was no way you might be able to get one
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: match out of him. What are you going to do
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: with the guy that big? He legitimately got up to
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: eight hundred pounds at his peak, Like, what do you
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: do with somebody like that? At that point it just
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: becomes dangerous to be in the ring with them. This
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: week's episode is sponsored by Wicks. Up until recently, I
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: had no idea what vibe coding was. But if you
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: stop and think about it. It's exactly what it sounds like.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: And now, thanks to Wicks Harmony, you can vibe code
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: an entire website just by typing in what you want
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: and through the power of AI, you'll get a website
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: that mirrors what you've pictured in your head and is
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: functional right out of the gate. But Wick's Harmony doesn't
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: force you to use AI for everything. Oh no, no,
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: no no no. If you have options, you can still
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: click and change whatever you want all on your own,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: or you can click on something then ask Aria, your
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: AI agent, to change it for you. It's actually a
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: really smart tool. It also solved the very annoying problem
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: of having to prompt AI over and over again, even
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: for the smallest changes. This is a lot more efficient
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: and saves you a lot of time and aggravation. Join

- 1:10:29Speaker 1: slash harmony. That's Wicks dot com slash harmony. If Eddie
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: Guerrero did not leave WCW in two thousand, what could
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: you have seen him doing in WCW under Vince Russo?
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: Not a whole lot. He would have won maybe some
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: mid card titles. I really don't think he would have
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: gone any higher than that. Do you remember WCW hosting
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: some MTV spring breaks in the late nineties. I remember
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: Brian Adams having a wrestling match at MTV spring break
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: that WCA hosted. Yes, I do remember that. I actually remember,
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: and I don't know what year this would have been,
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: but I remember a spring break that WCW either hosted
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: or co hosted or partnered with them on. There was
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: a Battle Royal Chris Jericho won, and I think while
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: the Battle Royal was happening, Fear Factory was performing. This
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: probably was like at their peak, and I don't remember
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: anything else about it. And then there was a separate
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: spring break on MTV where Haul and Nash were there
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: and I actually covered I talked about this story probably
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: in one of the history segments on the sound off.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: Some douchebag in the crowd hit Nash with a rock,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: and if you watch the footage back, it's scared because
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: Nash immediately starts scanning the crowd and I don't know
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: if he saw the guy or people were pointing at
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: who the guy was. And Nash is a big guy
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: and I mean even back then, it wasn't like he
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: was sprinting around. But he jumped off of that stage
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: and he chased this guy down. Now, imagine you've got
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: a seven foot Kevin Nash running after you shit a brick.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: But he chased that guy down. And I think that
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: guy or maybe the guy's father whatever, sued Nash. It
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: was like a whole fucked up story. They sued Nash.
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: I think for like assaulting his son or something. It
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: was something ridiculous like that. Anyway, Yeah, those are my
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: Those are my WSW was MTV spring break memories. Uh
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: do you remember when MTV had WWE week. It was
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: the week of SummerSlam ninety nine. I remember Triple H
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: and China hosting an MTV show when it was I
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: don't remember that now. I remember ninety eight they had
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: a partnership or a relationship with the Home Shopping Network.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: I remember Summer Slim in ninety eight Highway to Hell.
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: The Rock had just lost the title in the ladder
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: match to Triple H, and I think live on HSN
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: after the show, I think the Rock showed up like
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: on set they were hawking merch. I remember that Joseph
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: with the fifty dollars Magenta Bomb. Look at this guy.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: By the way, we have a bonus goal going in
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: the chat that was dead, but now it's starting to
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: creep up a little bit. I just noticed. But Joseph says,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: is it true that Triple H was going to win
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: the title at SummerSlam ninety nine with Austin coming back
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: and winning the Royal Rumble In two thousand and Triple
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: H would defend the title against Austin in the main
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: event of WrestleMania Is sixteen, with Austin beating Triple H
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: and winning the title. I've never heard that before. I'm
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: gonna say, no, that's the first I'm hearing of that.
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: I don't believe that was ever the plan. I believe
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: Triple H was at least at one point planned to
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: win the match at SummerSlam. It was gonna be him.
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: It was him, Austin and Foley, and they had mankind win.
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: And there's been a lot of discussion about why that was.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: Austin didn't want a job to him, didn't think he
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: was ready, you know. I mean, it doesn't really hold
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: water because Austin lost to him two months later at
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: No Mercy In a singles match. Yeah, it's like, okay,
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: he wasn't ready in August, but you're okay with losing
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: to him in October. It doesn't make any sense. So
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: I think what's more likely is they had Jesse Ventura
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: in there as the special referee. He was the governor
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: of Minnesota at the time, right, big babyface, And I
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: think they probably just did not want him raising the
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: arm of the heel at the end of the match, right,
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: because it would have been very easy for Triple H
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: to pin mankind and Austin doesn't even have to take
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: the losing. I think they wanted Jesse to raise the
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: hand of the babyface at the end, and it's like, well,
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: we can get the belt off Austin without him losing
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: to Triple H, and we could save the singles match
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: for again No Mercy or some other show. So that's
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: what I suspect is what happened there. And then you
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: fast forward to two thousand and one, right before WrestleMania,
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: and Austin lost the Three Stages of Hell match to
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: Triple H. Joseph, thank you very much. I appreciate that,
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: super chat, but that's not the only Magenta Bomb Joseph
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: dropped three of them. This is number two. I met
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: Jack Perry and Anna j while I was on vacation.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: I had the opportunity to hang out with them both
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: along with my family. They knew some of my family member.
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: I'm so grateful for that opportunity. They were very nice
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: to me a day I will never forget. That's very cool.
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: I wonder where you went for your vacation. But Joseph,
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: that's awesome. Thank you for sharing that. I'm glad that
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: you had a memorable experience. That's pretty cool. And you
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: have a very good week as well. He's not done though,
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: he may see he does one of these things like
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: triple h when he puts the copyright box up and
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: you think the show is over, but then the show's
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: not over. Joseph pulled the same thing. Because there's another
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: magenta bomb up here from him. Because I'm back with
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: late breaking news, Matt Reeves just confirmed that Jeffrey Wright
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: will return as Commissioner Gordon and Andy Serkis will return
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: as Alfred in The Batman Part two. There you go,
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: some breaking news here, some breaking Batman news here on
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: the stream. I'm glad I find that Joseph, I don't
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: know if you saw a few weeks ago, when I
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: was coming back from Los Angeles, I finally watched The Batman.
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: It only took me four years, but I watched it
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: on my iPad on the plane on the way back
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: from LA and I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it. I
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: enjoyed it more than I did. Batman begins Very Dark,
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: the Very Dark, depressing Gotham in that movie, Elder Murray
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: with a four ninety nine. If Chris Benwan never left WCW,
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: what would his career there have looked like. In WCW
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: two thousand under Vince Russo, I think he would have
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: been in the upper mix, but he would not have
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: been focused on a really super focused on guy. And
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: the only and they put the belt on him when
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: they did right before he left, was because they were
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: trying to keep him. So if they've gotten him to
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: stay and he signed a contract, believe me, that belt
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: was not gonna be on him for very long. It's like, Okay,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: we got him, we got him, Now let's get that
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: belt away from him. Joseph is back with more. There's
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: another breaking news here. Matt Reeves just confirmed Colin Farrell
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: is returning as the Penguin in The Batman Part two. Yeah,
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: everybody told me I have to watch the TV series.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: I haven't done that yet. That that's on my list
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: of things to do. And Matt Reeves confirmed that he
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: will confirm more casting on The Batman tomorrow, which will
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: be Sebastian's Stan as Harvey Dent, Scarlett Johanson his Harvey
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: Dent's wife, and Barry Keyogan is it or Cogan, I
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: don't know, as the Joker. Yeah. I saw that deleted
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: scene from the first Batman movie. It's like a five
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: minute deleted scene. Is like the best deleted scene I've
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: ever seen. I could see why it was taken out
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: of the movie, though I actually agree. I agree with
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: him cutting it from the first movie because it just
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: would have taken all the attention away from the Riddler.
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: You keep that of the movie. Now it's like everyone's
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: laser focused on Batman and Joker, and that's not what
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: the story of the first movie was. So I get it.
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: But it's a hell of a scene. And happy early
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: birthday to George Lucas. He says, all right, how old
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: is he gotta be? What eighty ish by now dry
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: Chicken says, I'm making a bold prediction for the Owen
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: Heart Cup Finals winners. Men's will Osprey over Swerved Strickland.
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: That's is that why you put bold in quotation? Mark
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: has not a very bold prediction there, Women's Alex Windsor
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: over Mina. Now that is a bold prediction. It's very
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: bold of you to think that Mina would make it
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: to the finals. Yeah, I don't want to see Alex
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: Windsor win that tournament though. We don't need to do
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: the whole like husband wife are soon to be husband
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: wife thing. We don't need to do that. We don't
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: need to do that one month away until the World
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: Cup happens. Aw New Japan, CMLL and stardom shows the
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: right time to do forbidden Door during the soccer event.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: That's right, Yeah, that's right. I forgot about the World Cup. Shit.
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: I wonder what the attendance is going to be for
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: the World Cup because we've seen it with other events.
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: You know, there's not a whole there's not a whole
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: lot of international travel coming here as compared to in
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: the past. Curious what kind of impact that has in
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: the World Cup attendance. Also, he says, one of these days,
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: Tony Khan may be tempted to do all In in
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: Mexico City or Vancouver, Canada in the future. Yeah, I
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: mean I could I could see that. I mean, they
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: have the partnership with CMLL, so I could see that.
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: Ishmael they got to push. Brian Cage says, I don't
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: get why Tony is obsessed with pushing a washed up
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: jungle boy. Maybe he's trying to keep him. He's going
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: to become a free agent if those rumors are true.
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: Maybe he's trying to keep him. Bender mc simpson loved
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: that the Death Riders are tweeterers and I like the
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: rooftop segment. Them and Osbrey are not friends, but they
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: have an understanding. Yeah, I mean again, they're trying to
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: tell a story here. Love the MJF Don Kallis segment,
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: MJF saying that it's his fifth favorite diamond ring and
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: Androde coming in flipping his hair. He did have very
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: majestic hair in the segment. I would probably be doing
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: the same thing as as him in that segment. If
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: I had long hair like that, I'd be you know,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: brushing it up and it would be flowing, it'd be
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: all over the place here. MD says, no questions, just
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: wanted to contribute. Thank you, Thank you, m D Chicago
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: for MBK more open Challenge or more cow bell. I'll
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: take some cow bell, please, I'll take some cow bell.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: Dried Chicken says Ricochet should call out Jericho by saying, oh, Jericho,
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: come out to play play ye with glass bottles in
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: his finger. I have no idea what that's in reference to.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: If Kevin Knight turns heel, he needs to have a
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: lot of hot wrestling girls around him. Again, I think
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: if anybody goes heel between the two of them, he
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: would work out a lot better with him as a
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: heel than speedball. Robert, my sixty one year old dad
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: has two knee replacements, or had two knee replacements ten
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: years ago, and still working to this day. Some men
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: refuse to slow down. Yes, But but does your sixty
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: one year old father wrestle? That's the question. There were
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: certain jobs where it's just it's crazier to me to
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: think that you would be replacing your knees and still
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: going out there and doing what in this case Brian
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: Cage does for a living. That's just crazy to me.
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: I haven't seen No, I haven't seen the Warriors. I
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: have not seen the Warriors. Is that a bad thing
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: that I have not seen the Warriors? You're gonna judge
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: me for not seeing the warriors? Dry Chicken says, imagine
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: Austin the Rattlesnake taking a tiger driver ninety one from Osprey. Yes,
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: that would never happen. Austin would lay down some ground
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: rules beforehand, and that would never ever happen. Devin from NJ.
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: If Jack Perry never got himself suspended for brawl in,
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: would you have been a world champion by now? No, Hey, EJ,
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: thank you. Justin g Baldo Monster, he says, it is
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: a very bad thing that Solo has not seen the Warriors. Eh,
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: I don't know. Nobody ever said I had to see
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: the Warriors before. Maybe they just assumed that I had
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: seen it. Boomerang, Happy birthday to the Goat Stevie wonder Well.
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: I hope he gets to see your superchab tuxedo t servo. Hey,
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: Solo Monster, get all the monies you can carrying the
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: water for insert promotion name here. Yes, I try, I try.
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: Maybe next week I'll carry some water for Billy Corgan
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: in the NWI. We'll change to a different promotion every
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: single week. Maybe the Juggalos imagine carrying water for JCW.
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: Dry Chicken says, I watched Mortal Kombat two last week
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: and it was a banger. It was way better than
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: Mortal Kombat Annihilation. I don't know. I heard Mortal Kombat
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: Annihilation was just straight up ass. I haven't seen it,
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: but everything i've I've heard mentioned about it when it
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: comes up is not good. I saw Mortal Kombat too
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: in the theater last week. I had a lot of
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: fun with it. Justin g Solo clearly paid off by
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: Soft Ground Wrestling. What a shame, what a disgrace in
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: the pocket of international indies. Yes, soft Ground Wrestling, you
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: know I am. I happen to be watching the Steve
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: Austin Rock main event from Wrestleman. He is seventeen, and
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: I noticed something very interesting that I don't remember noticing before,
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: which is that in the crowd and it's on the
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: hardcam side, but obviously it's in one of the first
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: several rows because the sign is visible on camera when
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: the person holds it up. I think it's during the
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: entrances or right at the beginning of the match, I
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: believe that somebody is holding up an H O G sign.
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: They hold up a sign it just says Hog, and
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: I'm like, man, this guy must be a time traveler.
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: This is two thousand and one. Like, how have I
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: not noticed that before? I've worked for Hog for eight years.
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: I've never noticed this before. E J. Slamp watched Seth
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: Rollins final ROH match against Roddy today Weird Heel versus
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: Heel fifteen minute title match with Terry Funk as the
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: only babyface. Do you remember it? Barely? Barely? I know
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: I've seen it, but I just I don't have I
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: don't have much of a memory when it comes to it.
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: He was a big Henry O. Godwin mark in two
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: thousand and one. I doubt that Mike ten dollars Super
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: Chad instead of Title versus Hair. I thought for sure
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: Darby was going to tell Max that he'll give him
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: a title shot if he lifts the stipulation that Hangman
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: can never go for the world time. That's what I thought.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: I said, either a career match or he forces him
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: to lift the Hangman step and then they went the
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: hair route. I mean, hair matches in wrestling have done
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: well before, but it's like, eh, okay, Skywalker. Can you
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: look at the camera and say at Backlash, didn't I
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: do this the other day? At Backlash? There you go? EJ. Slim.
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: Would Savio Vega getting inducted by Damian Priest or Bad
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: Bunny then embraced by the BSk after his speech be
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: a cool Hall of Fame moment? Sure, Savio. I mean,
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: Sabio has been in the business decades, very influential figure
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: even to this day, still very involved in the wrestling business,
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: and he had that run in WWE in the mid nineties.
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: So sure, just for that alone, let alone all the
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: other stuff he's done, you can absolutely argue that he
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: would be a worthy Hall of Fame in day doctor
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: or inductee. Definitely make that argument. Mike says, I heard
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: a rumor today that if Eddie Guerrera would not have
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: died in November of five, he would have faced Sean
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: Michaels or WrestleMania twenty two. Yeah. I mean, that's a
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: rumor that was started many years ago, and people that
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: were on the writing team back then have come out
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: and said that that was not ever anything that was
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: written down as even like a tentative plan. It might
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: have been something that someone discussed at some point, but
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: it was never an actual plan. It makes for a
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: nice story, and it would have been a hell of
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: a match even if Eddie was already past his physical
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: prime at that point, just like health wise, but I mean,
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: it still would have been a hell of a match.
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: But no, that was never like the plan for WrestleMania.
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: I could see where people might think that though, because
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: the match would Vince. It was almost like, you know,
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: what I can tell you. What I can tell you
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: is that what they tried to do, they tried to
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: get Brett Hart to do Brett and Sean at WrestleMania,
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: and they didn't get Brett to do a match. They
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: had Brett. They brought Brett back to do the Hall
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: of Fame in six. They wanted him against Sewn Michaels
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: of WrestleMania, So him against Vince was like the fallback
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: to what would have been him and Brett if Brett
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: wanted to do it or physically felt like he could.
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: I'm not even sure physically if Brett was in a
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: position to do a match at that point. It was
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: a few more years before he got back in the ring.
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: But that is legit. Isaac says, better finale, breaking bad
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: or better call Saul? I thought I enjoyed both very much,
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: and they both had very good endings. But I gotta
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: go breaking bed. It's got to be breaking bed, EJ slimt. Tonight,
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: the Mets lost an ABS challenge Brett Baty never called for. Meanwhile,
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: the White Sox won four straight thanks to Murakami. Hope
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: you enjoy Robert, but they won tonight? Right? Didn't the
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: Mets win tonight? That's all that matters, Barry MK. How
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: was Charlie able to say she's formally known as Dakota Kai?
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: Doesn't wwe own the Dakota name. Yes, but she wasn't
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: billed as Dakota Kai. She was advertised as Charlie. You
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: can say that somebody is formally known as that's fine.
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: Dried Chicken says, a heel speedball Mike Bailey would be
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: so cheesy and cartoon Well, I mean, how is that
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: any different than baby Face speedball Mike Bailey? And Jeremy
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: Rose says, let's just say MJF loses his hair, does
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: he wear a mask, I'll see him punk when he
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: got his head shaved. I would rather he just wears
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: like headgear and a wig like Kurt Angle did when
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: he got shaved bald by Edge. But I really don't
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: see him getting his head shaved spend a lot of
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: money on that new hair. I would draw the line
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: if I were him, I would tell Tony, look, I'll
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: do anything for you, and I know you're paying me
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: a lot of money here, but there's just certain lines
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: I won't cross. All right, good Mets beat the Tigers
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: three to two. We'll take our little victories where we
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: can get them anyway. The wheel said three point fifty
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: was the like skull for tonight, and we are currently
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: sitting at four. We beat it by one hundred. It's
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: still going up. You guys did that, so thank you.
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: Let's go ahead and be the booker. Ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: It is now time to be the booker. MJF will
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: wear a to pay. Tell you what, if he loses
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: that match, it'll be hell to pay anyway. Be the booker. Time.
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: We got one round coming our way tonight, to try
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: to make it a good one. Start out with some
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: tag team Action. We got Johnny Grunge fly Boy rock
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: O'rock Public Enemy, believe the second time in the last
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: week or so that we've had Public Enemy in our
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: tag team match. So they're bringing the table down to
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: the ring to take on choose two single stars to
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: form a makeshift team. Anyway, you're already tired of Public Enemy.
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: Well there's a fickle crowd here. There's only the second
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: match they've had. People are already sick and tired of
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: seeing them. But now we get to pick two single stars.
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: This could be anything. This team could end up being anything.
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: You have no idea what we can land on here.
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: That's what makes it so interesting. The Rock, this is
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: the Rock. This is from the early SmackDown days, that
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: was his show. And The Rock needs a tag team partner.
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: Shake the Snake, Roberts and the Rock against Public Enemy
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: sounds like a barn burner to me. Man, imagine those
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: like joint promo. Remember like in the early nineties, mid nineties,
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: late eighties in WWF, they would cut backstage. You had
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: that one static camera shot and whatever the backdrop was,
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: and then they would just cut promos in character and
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: sometimes they would even maybe do like the slow zoom
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: in on the person. Other times you'd have Mean Jean
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: or Sean Mooney back there holding a mic. And you
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: know how those eighties promos could be. Now, imagine the
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: Rock and Jake the Snake cutting a joint promo together.
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: Holy shit, now that would be something. Women's be the
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: booker we have. Well, Tony may not want to make
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: it happened, but we're gonna make it happen right here,
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: Mercedes Monete, I'm starting to get the impression that she
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: may never be back. Mercedes Monette returns here in Sola
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: Monster Championship Wrestling to take on Bull Nicano. Now you
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: know for a fact, Mercedes would kill for a match
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: with Bull Nicano, especially prime Bull Nakano's That's I mean,
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: that's right in her wheelhouse. That's exactly what Mercedes would
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: love to get. We made it happen here, Mercedes Monet
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: and bul Nicana. Who are you going with in that match?
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: Who are you picking a win in that match? I
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: like where we're going with this. We got to really
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: end on a strong note here because we've had a
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: hell of a card so far. But we're not done yet. Oh,
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: We're on the right track. Kurt Angle is in our
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: main event to it. I mean, this can't go wrong.
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: This is basically bulletproof at this point. Get ready for
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: the sweep. Kurd Angle can make anything work. Kurt Angle
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: against Stone Cold Steve Austin, and in fact the two
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: of them actually had some really good matches together. I'm
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: sure this one would be no different. If you wanted
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: to show the Attitude era in one image, there it is.
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: That's it. Just put this picture up on the screen.
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: There it is. That's the Attitude era. Got that Scratch
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: logo in the background, and then you got Stone Cold
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: with the vest doing the pose. That's it. That's the
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: Attitude era right there. The Golden Era image is Hogan
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: ripping the shirt and posing. The Attitude era image is
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: this right? This? Or him flipping people off? But that's
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: the Attitude era. What would be the what would be
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: the defining image for the Ruthless Aggression Era? Would that
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: be Brock Brock and Hammond with the Undisputed title. If
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: the WCW invasion was done properly, would you have kept
- 1:39:30Speaker 1: Undertaker as the biker or would you have reverted him
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: back to the dead man sooner? Like for a Sting.
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: I would have reverted him back to the dead Man
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: for a Sting feud, not necessarily at the beginning of
- 1:39:45Speaker 1: the invasion, because I wouldn't have given that match away
- 1:39:47Speaker 1: at the beginning, so I would have kept him as
- 1:39:50Speaker 1: he was. And then again, if you were able to
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: get Sting in a lot earlier, I would have built
- 1:39:57Speaker 1: to that match. And when the time came to do
- 1:39:59Speaker 1: Sting an undertaker, it had to be dead Man Taker.
- 1:40:04Speaker 1: Dead Man Taker against Crowsting. But you build to it
- 1:40:11Speaker 1: and dry Chicken says Curd angle against Stone Cold Steve
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: Austin with Solo Monster and JD doing commentary with Stone
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: Cold beer cans on the desk. Yeah, we do have
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: a House of Glory show coming up back in New
- 1:40:23Speaker 1: York on not this coming Friday, but the following Friday,
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: May twenty second. We got the Heartys on the card,
- 1:40:32Speaker 1: some other fun stuff planned. So that is coming up
- 1:40:38Speaker 1: now that you reminded me An EJ. Salam, Buyer Sell
- 1:40:42Speaker 1: Bigger train Wreck, Garcia Yuda Andretti Martin Charisma off Or
- 1:40:51Speaker 1: Caine Versus Zach Saber Junior Debate. Oh, the Caine and
- 1:40:57Speaker 1: Zach Saber Junior Debate. I would watch that. Tomorrow is
- 1:41:08Speaker 1: Tuesday Night Titans, but on a Thursdays because we didn't
- 1:41:11Speaker 1: do the show yesterday, so we're doing it for one
