Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: John Jay and Rich. So I want to give you
- 0:01Speaker 1: guys a little behind the scenes and some inside information.
- 0:04Speaker 1: All right. The other day, Kyle was semi-bragging that you
- 0:09Speaker 1: were bragging about your phone.
- 0:12Speaker 2: I wasn't semi-bragging.
- 0:13Speaker 1: I was like full on bragging. That your phone, which
- 0:15Speaker 1: is a, what is it? It's a Samsung. The Samsung's
- 0:17Speaker 1: taken over Apple.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Yes.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Because it is.
- 0:20Speaker 2: I stand by that.
- 0:21Speaker 1: And you were like, and now you guys stopped complaining
- 0:23Speaker 1: about my green text. And I was like, I haven't
- 0:25Speaker 1: complained about your phone. But then, then.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Ms.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Samsung here later that day is like God's hand karma.
- 0:31Speaker 2: It literally was my karma because I was reading to
- 0:33Speaker 2: you how like Apple is using all of Samsung's technology.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Like if they unveil, I think it's this week that
- 0:39Speaker 2: they could be unveiling a foldable phone. Like we're already
- 0:41Speaker 2: on like that 10th version of that with Samsung. So
- 0:44Speaker 2: I'm like a big fan until yesterday, actually two days ago,
- 0:49Speaker 2: my group chats started like giving me this message saying, um,
- 0:52Speaker 2: this group chats unavailable for you right now. And I'm like,
- 0:55Speaker 2: what are you talking about? So, um, Do you remember
- 0:57Speaker 2: when it was really difficult to text between iPhone and
- 1:01Speaker 2: Samsung pictures and videos?
- 1:02Speaker 1: It was a whole thing.
- 1:03Speaker 2: And then they came out with RCS messaging. It was
- 1:06Speaker 2: the new thing that made that possible and amazing. Well,
- 1:09Speaker 2: apparently there's something wrong with my RCS messaging and it
- 1:13Speaker 2: literally shut my phone down. So I spent, I kid
- 1:16Speaker 2: you not, over two hours on the phone with customer
- 1:20Speaker 2: care trying to figure out what the problem is. restarting
- 1:24Speaker 2: my phone, clearing the cash, getting the messages, sending a
- 1:27Speaker 2: new eSIM, all the things, like a million things.
- 1:29Speaker 1: All the things.
- 1:30Speaker 2: The third person that I was talking to, this is
- 1:32Speaker 2: an hour and a half in, and I'm like getting
- 1:34Speaker 2: to the point where I'm like, okay, this is very frustrating.
- 1:36Speaker 1: She's like- Are you just chilling on your couch doing
- 1:38Speaker 1: this or are you doing things?
- 1:40Speaker 2: No, I'm like personalizing cooling towels for my son's baseball team.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Oh, so you're doing stuff. I just figured waiting on
- 1:46Speaker 1: the phone sucks. Personalizing cooling towels. And when I finished that,
- 1:49Speaker 1: I ran to Costco.
- 1:50Speaker 2: So I didn't like stop my life.
- 1:52Speaker 1: However- Oh yeah, I know you were at Costco. I
- 1:53Speaker 1: got a message that someone saw you in the wild.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Kyle in the wild. Oh my gosh. I'm so glad
- 1:56Speaker 1: that Kyle comes to my Costco, she said.
- 1:59Speaker 2: That's so funny. No, so I did have to go. Okay,
- 2:02Speaker 2: so the third person I talked to, the lady literally says, and.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I quote, I have no idea what's going on.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Click hung up on me.
- 2:08Speaker 1: And I was like, okay.
- 2:12Speaker 2: And she had my callback number. So I waited a
- 2:14Speaker 2: little while. I'm like, she's going to call back for sure. Right?
- 2:17Speaker 1: No, no call back.
- 2:19Speaker 2: And so I look at my phone and I go
- 2:21Speaker 2: to call my husband and it said, your phone's not
- 2:24Speaker 2: connected to a cellular network.
- 2:26Speaker 1: So she shut my phone down.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Now not only do my text messages with group chats
- 2:30Speaker 2: not work, but my phone literally doesn't work. So I
- 2:34Speaker 2: literally go to my carrier store and I get there
- 2:38Speaker 2: and the guy legit says, yeah, you might want to
- 2:40Speaker 2: go to like a geek squad or something like that,
- 2:42Speaker 2: like a phone repair shop. We're not really trained to
- 2:44Speaker 2: do any of the tech stuff.
- 2:46Speaker 1: And I was like, Okay, because my phone doesn't work
- 2:47Speaker 1: right now, but okay. How have you been living your
- 2:50Speaker 1: life without a working cellular device?
- 2:52Speaker 2: Okay, well, two minutes later, I go into the car
- 2:55Speaker 2: and I'm very frustrated. I look at my phone and
- 2:57Speaker 2: all of a sudden it's reconnected to the cellular network.
- 3:00Speaker 2: So I'm like, I'm just going to try one more time.
- 3:03Speaker 2: I'm going to go home and then I got to
- 3:05Speaker 2: leave to go get the kids. Well, usually when I leave,
- 3:07Speaker 2: I tell my husband who works from home that I'm
- 3:09Speaker 2: like going to go, but I'm like, I don't have time.
- 3:11Speaker 2: I'll just call him. but my phone wasn't working when
- 3:13Speaker 2: I left. So I literally had to go like tech free.
- 3:16Speaker 2: I was like, how do people communicate? Meanwhile, I could
- 3:19Speaker 2: have just walked in the backyard cause that's where he was,
- 3:20Speaker 2: but there's no time for that. So I literally like,
- 3:23Speaker 2: I was like.
- 3:23Speaker 1: I don't know what to do.
- 3:24Speaker 2: I found a sticky note and I literally wrote him
- 3:26Speaker 2: a note like the olden days. And I was like,
- 3:30Speaker 2: gonna leave. Phone's not working. Maybe I'll call you when
- 3:34Speaker 2: it's working again or not.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I have no idea. And it was bottom line is
- 3:37Speaker 1: my text message.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Yeah. I, okay.
- 3:40Speaker 1: I just put it on the back door. Cause that's
- 3:41Speaker 1: what he walks in and out of. Yeah. He's going
- 3:42Speaker 1: to see it. Oh my gosh. I'm shocked that you
- 3:44Speaker 1: guys like don't write notes. We literally write sticky notes
- 3:46Speaker 1: and leave them for each other all the time. You
- 3:51Speaker 1: can get up and leave a sticky note, but you
- 3:53Speaker 1: can't get up and say I'm leaving. A hundred percent. Yeah.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Because then I would have to walk all the way
- 3:56Speaker 2: in the backyard.
- 3:57Speaker 1: And at this point, I just like yell the way
- 3:58Speaker 1: you yell. Your voice carries when you yell. I was so.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Frustrated that yes, I probably could have, but I was
- 4:05Speaker 2: just like, I cannot stop.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Down my day.
- 4:07Speaker 2: I have to go to Costco now to.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Do other things. So I don't know what's going on.
- 4:12Speaker 2: So if you have a Samsung, because the last guy
- 4:14Speaker 2: that I talked to, that was the last 45 minutes
- 4:16Speaker 2: on with customer care after the phone restarted back up.
- 4:19Speaker 2: said he believes it's a Samsung issue with the latest
- 4:23Speaker 2: software update. So I think I'm probably not the only
- 4:26Speaker 2: one with RCS.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Chats not working. You don't do software updates, though.
- 4:30Speaker 2: If you have found a workaround, please.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Let me know. Okay, so what if Apple comes and
- 4:35Speaker 1: spends all this money on Samsung to use their technology,
- 4:38Speaker 1: but really Apple's going there and infiltrating the system and
- 4:41Speaker 1: shutting down all of the Samsung. So everyone has to
- 4:43Speaker 1: go and buy Apple. You know what? It could be.
- 4:47Speaker 1: It could be anything.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I just want to be able to text GIFs and memes.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Come on back to the blue text, Kyle. You were
- 4:54Speaker 1: once one of us. Come on back.
- 4:55Speaker 2: No, never.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Come on back.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Never.
- 4:57Speaker 1: You know what's funny is that you were at Costco
- 4:59Speaker 1: and I messaged, somebody messaged me. I just saw Kyle
- 5:01Speaker 1: at Costco. I'm so glad she goes to my Costco.
- 5:03Speaker 1: And I'm like, oh my God, what's your number? Let's
- 5:05Speaker 1: do a thing. And I don't know. This is the
- 5:07Speaker 1: problem with having too good of a working phone. is
- 5:10Speaker 1: i don't know if it was dms on facebook dms
- 5:13Speaker 1: on instagram if it was dms on twitter if it
- 5:15Speaker 1: was a text line if it was an email that's
- 5:18Speaker 1: the problem i wish it was just one way to
- 5:20Speaker 1: get a hold of us you could call us you
- 5:22Speaker 1: can text us you can talk back us they're very
- 5:24Speaker 1: happy i don't know if somebody works there they're very
- 5:26Speaker 1: happy you go to her costco just leave us a
- 5:29Speaker 1: sticky note yeah let's go back to that if you
- 5:32Speaker 1: know the station is leave us a sticky note just
- 5:34Speaker 1: go tech free
