  Speaker 1: thought everything was tied up and a neat little bow

  Speaker 1: and it was all done, And so that bothered you

  Speaker 1: as you watched the season premiere of the new season

  Speaker 2: Part of it is exactly what you said, Okay. Another

  Speaker 2: part of it is my gripes with the choices they

  Speaker 2: made towards the end of season three, And I felt

  Speaker 2: as though this episode of television from last week kind

  Speaker 2: of admitted that they made a couple of mistakes, you know.

  Speaker 2: So I'm like both vindicated and annoyed the same time.

  Speaker 3: But I'm gonna give it a chance.

  Speaker 1: It's a brand new world now for him and for

  Speaker 1: play by play. This goes all the way back to

  Speaker 1: when I was on the broadcasting for North Texas back

  Speaker 1: in the eighties and that sort of thing, and when

  Speaker 1: I first started working in the Texas broadcast with Bill

  Speaker 1: Shooning in the nineties and then moving into the play
• 10:36
  Speaker 1: by play chair in the one to two Athletics season.

  Speaker 1: Prior to that, however, I've gotten a chance to me
• 10:43
  Speaker 1: get to know and then they call him a friend.

  Speaker 4: Uh, I don't know that that she's done that, She's

  Speaker 4: done events. When we opened Missouri Arena, she did an event,

  Speaker 4: a little small concert for a group of a group

  Speaker 4: of donors some twenty years ago. When Massoo played at

  Speaker 4: Vandy last year, she was. She was there and on

  Speaker 4: the field, and uh, you know, I had a chance to,

  Speaker 4: uh to say hi to her. She was, she was

  Speaker 4: in the Athletic Director's booth which is next to the

  Speaker 4: visiting radio booth in Nashville. So, uh, you know, she's

  Speaker 4: made her way back to Columbia, you know, on multiple occasions.

  Speaker 4: And so yeah, I just I just got word of

  Speaker 4: that the other day, or actually earlier today when I

  Speaker 1: the football, I would imagine there's a great deal of

  Speaker 1: optimism about what's to come this season. Yeah, I think

  Speaker 4: Obviously, the there's an upgrade in the schedule, you know it. Uh,

  Speaker 4: you know, Texas comes to Columbia, Missouri goes to Georgia,

  Speaker 4: Some of the things that you know, you think about

  Speaker 4: as well as that the schedule is is much more difficult,

  Speaker 4: the anticipation of this event that's going to arrive in

  Speaker 4: late August and earlier September, and that's the start of

  Speaker 4: the season that we all love so much.

  Speaker 1: You know, you have a unique schedule. And here's what

  Speaker 1: I mean by that. When I have visited and we

  Speaker 1: started this last week visiting with every play by play
• 14:11
  Speaker 1: voice around the Southeastern Conference continuing this week and then
• 14:14
  Speaker 1: through next week, where we'll hear from everybody. But in
• 14:17
  Speaker 1: the case of some of the guys, Kentucky comes to mind,
• 14:22
  Speaker 1: Florida comes to mine. There's a couple in this new
• 14:25
  Speaker 1: world that we have of nine conference games. Even with
• 14:30
  Speaker 1: nine conference games, usually the three week ramp up would
• 14:35
  Speaker 1: probably work out pretty well. Now you may have a
• 14:36
  Speaker 1: tough non conference game. Obviously Texas has Ohio was taken
• 14:39
  Speaker 1: in here second week of the year. But in several
• 14:42
  Speaker 1: cases they have the three weeks. But there are some
• 14:45
  Speaker 1: cases Florida comes to mine, Kentucky comes to mine. As
• 14:48
  Speaker 1: I mentioned, Georgia comes to mind, where they only have
• 14:51
  Speaker 1: the two non conference because they have a traditional rival
• 14:55
  Speaker 1: on the tail end of the regular season. In the
• 14:57
  Speaker 1: case of the Tigers, it's interesting you've got three non
• 15:02
  Speaker 1: conference games, and yet the middle one of those is
• 15:05
  Speaker 1: that border war that had gotten ramped up again with
• 15:08
  Speaker 1: the with the game of Kansas. So I guess that
• 15:10
  Speaker 1: kind of adds to the flavor of it.

  Speaker 4: Well, it does, and it will be a game that
• 15:15
  Speaker 4: obviously you know, Kansas has circled on its calendar because
• 15:18
  Speaker 4: it's the first time Missouri has played in Lawrence since
• 15:22
  Speaker 4: since leaving you know, the Big Twelve Conference, and if
• 15:25
  Speaker 4: you remember prior to leaving the Big Twelve when the
• 15:27
  Speaker 4: Zoo played KU, it was always a neutral side game.

  Speaker 4: But I think maybe the last eight ten years at
• 15:33
  Speaker 4: Arrowhead Stadium, so Missou and football has not been back
• 15:37
  Speaker 4: to Lawrence in quite a while. It's a game that
• 15:39
  Speaker 4: a year ago Missouri fell behind early by fourteen and
• 15:42
  Speaker 4: came back and won the game. So that's that's a
• 15:45
  Speaker 4: trip on a Friday night opening you know their new
• 15:49
  Speaker 4: stadium as well, that that'll be a that'll be an
• 15:54
  Speaker 4: interesting mission for Missouri that night in Lawrence, Kansas.

  Speaker 1: No doubt about it. Let me get your thoughts. We're

  Speaker 1: But when you have arguably the best running back in
• 16:16
  Speaker 1: the SEC are right there amongst them, and one of

  Speaker 1: the best in the country in Amad Hardy, who I

  Speaker 1: saw when he was playing for ul Monroe when they

  Speaker 1: came in a couple of years ago in Austin. He's
• 16:27
  Speaker 1: a guy that can be pretty special and can really
• 16:29
  Speaker 1: transform an offense, isn't he He is.

  Speaker 4: The caveat being we don't know when he's going to play.

  Speaker 1: Yep, you know he was.

  Speaker 4: He was shot in May, in mid May and has
• 16:45
  Speaker 4: gone through a lengthy process to try and to to
• 16:49
  Speaker 4: to get healthy and and get back into football shape.

  Speaker 4: We're seven days into practice, or actually seven practices in

  Speaker 4: and he's yet to appear. And so, you know, the

  Speaker 4: ward has gone from midway in the summer. It's too

  Speaker 4: early to tell to you know, he will play at
• 17:07
  Speaker 4: some point during the season, or he will be regularly
• 17:10
  Speaker 4: ready to play at some point in the season. He is,

  Speaker 4: he has yet to appear in practice at this point

  Speaker 4: in time, and so and again that's that's no surprise.

  Speaker 4: He led drink. What's indicated in his preseason meeting with

  Speaker 4: the media that Hardy would not participate in at least
