- 0:03Speaker 1: Oh, let's have some fun with Jim Hayes, Cardinals TV
- 0:06Speaker 1: and Cardinal Territory. Give us one flip.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Wow, I didn't think it was possible, Jim, but you
- 0:11Speaker 2: just got uglier.
- 0:14Speaker 3: I knew that it would be great coming on with AJ.
- 0:16Speaker 4: You're supposed to hold it up higher, so you look
- 0:18Speaker 4: hand you look handsomer.
- 0:21Speaker 5: Yeah, but now we can't see your chin and that's
- 0:22Speaker 5: the best part of you that listen.
- 0:24Speaker 4: Sorry, sorry that I don't have a hat on backwards
- 0:28Speaker 4: and I have a tie.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Because I have to go work. I apologize for that.
- 0:31Speaker 2: We're working. We are working.
- 0:35Speaker 3: He won't talk to you. Yeah, you're working. That's a
- 0:37Speaker 3: nice hat, a j That's a great look.
- 0:39Speaker 4: It's you know, I was wondering when you guys invited
- 0:41Speaker 4: me if I was going to be on with AJ,
- 0:44Speaker 4: because this guy is the rusty nail, as John Mizaylok
- 0:47Speaker 4: put it, that the Cardinals needed to throw into the barrel.
- 0:51Speaker 3: And uh, you weren't that rusty. You were kind of nice, AJ.
- 0:55Speaker 4: And I also want to go on the record of
- 0:57Speaker 4: saying that AJ pointed out to me that I've been
- 1:02Speaker 4: doing broadcasting a long time, not at a very high level.
- 1:06Speaker 3: AJ already had two national Emmys and was still playing
- 1:09Speaker 3: and was better at me than me at my job.
- 1:13Speaker 5: But you know, you know what's sad about that, Jim,
- 1:16Speaker 5: is you probably actually have Emmys in your house, like
- 1:18Speaker 5: regional emmys. I don't actually have an emmy. I it
- 1:22Speaker 5: was part of a crew that won woe, but they
- 1:24Speaker 5: didn't give us those back and then, So I'm sure
- 1:26Speaker 5: you probably have them. You're not showing them because you're
- 1:28Speaker 5: so humble. But if I had one, it would be
- 1:32Speaker 5: right here.
- 1:33Speaker 4: It's listen, it's a joke to win them anyway. Well,
- 1:36Speaker 4: you know how they do it. It used to be
- 1:38Speaker 4: that some guy from the local affiliate would have a
- 1:41Speaker 4: bunch of tapes and invite you.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Over and then and then order pizza.
- 1:46Speaker 4: When the pizza arrived, no one was watching the videos,
- 1:49Speaker 4: so they just awarded it. They're meaningless, okay, agreed, regional
- 1:54Speaker 4: regional ones?
- 1:56Speaker 3: All right?
- 1:57Speaker 1: So is this what you have to do to get
- 2:00Speaker 1: your attention now? I mean, I'm not going to take
- 2:02Speaker 1: my shirt off, but with a shirt attention.
- 2:09Speaker 4: Yes, Look, you can say what you want about the
- 2:12Speaker 4: tarps off crew that came in like a bolt of
- 2:16Speaker 4: lightning from Steven f. Austin, Texas, a club baseball team
- 2:20Speaker 4: in for the Club Baseball World Series.
- 2:22Speaker 3: I didn't know they had that.
- 2:24Speaker 4: They came to the Cardinals game Friday night, about twenty
- 2:27Speaker 4: of them. One guy decided, in his own words, should
- 2:31Speaker 4: we take our shirts off?
- 2:32Speaker 3: Screw it, I'll do it.
- 2:34Speaker 4: He did it, and next thing you know, there were hundreds,
- 2:37Speaker 4: maybe thousands of people with their shirts off, and there
- 2:40Speaker 4: was energy in the ballpark like I hadn't seen all
- 2:43Speaker 4: season long. Now, the Cardinals are a team that's playing
- 2:46Speaker 4: really good baseball, slowly.
- 2:48Speaker 3: But surely, ali Heim.
- 2:50Speaker 4: They're winning fans back because I think they're doing things
- 2:53Speaker 4: the right way. But they needed a jolt, and the
- 2:56Speaker 4: tarps off crew provided that jolt. And they're three and
- 2:59Speaker 4: ozero because they stayed. They were here yesterday, they weren't
- 3:02Speaker 4: there for Sunday's game Cardinal's loss.
- 3:04Speaker 3: So they are three and oh and you can't argue
- 3:07Speaker 3: with results, Jim.
- 3:09Speaker 5: There was only one thing that I want to know,
- 3:11Speaker 5: Why didn't you take your shirt off when you're interviewing
- 3:14Speaker 5: Chip and Brad at least had fake shirts off while
- 3:18Speaker 5: you were doing it, But you did not take your
- 3:20Speaker 5: shirt off. That is why you don't have any Emmys.
- 3:22Speaker 5: If you would have taken your shirt off showed us
- 3:25Speaker 5: that body made by what is it is?
- 3:28Speaker 2: He's pizza? What's the pizza place? Since pizza, then maybe
- 3:34Speaker 2: you would be in line for one.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Don't you have a researcher? Because I put it on Twitter?
- 3:39Speaker 3: There it is?
- 3:40Speaker 5: You stole that from Chip and Brad they had those
- 3:42Speaker 5: shirts on. I need to see the real cat's body,
- 3:45Speaker 5: not the thing.
- 3:47Speaker 4: Listen. I don't know what your viewership is. It's a
- 3:50Speaker 4: lot better than Cardinal Territory. But I don't want to
- 3:52Speaker 4: scare anyone away, So let's get off that subject for now.
- 3:56Speaker 3: If Cardinal Territory.
- 3:58Speaker 4: Can get to seven thousands, of which we've been slogging
- 4:01Speaker 4: along for two months to try to get there, maybe
- 4:04Speaker 4: I will do it.
- 4:06Speaker 1: That was what they said on Cardinal Territory. That's what
- 4:09Speaker 1: I heard. So actually it's not that crazy of a claim. Hey,
- 4:14Speaker 1: j they're at six point sixty seven. He's not saying like, oh,
- 4:18Speaker 1: get me to seventy thousand. He's saying, get me like
- 4:20Speaker 1: four hundred subs.
- 4:21Speaker 2: It's been two months, Kat, what are you expecting?
- 4:25Speaker 3: Listen? We have Izzy, No, we don't have Busy. He
- 4:29Speaker 3: turned us down as a guest.
- 4:30Speaker 4: We have Lance Lynn, we have Kyle Gibson, we have
- 4:34Speaker 4: Matt Holliday once every two months.
- 4:37Speaker 3: And we have former Cardinals on the show.
- 4:39Speaker 4: We should get more subs, so hopefully you guys can
- 4:43Speaker 4: push for that. And as for the Cardinals, you guys
- 4:46Speaker 4: are talking about the NL Central and the Brewers and
- 4:49Speaker 4: the Cubs, and I knows you don't even give the
- 4:52Speaker 4: Cardinals a sniff. I think you guys are making a
- 4:54Speaker 4: mistake because this team has belief. Maybe wouldn't be there
- 4:58Speaker 4: if they started the season slow, but they have won
- 5:02Speaker 4: five walkoffs already, seven and one in extra inning games,
- 5:05Speaker 4: an unbelievable record in close games.
- 5:09Speaker 3: This team doesn't.
- 5:11Speaker 4: Have guys on the roster, as you guys were saying,
- 5:13Speaker 4: he scares me. He's the stopper, but everyone on this
- 5:17Speaker 4: roster brings something that can beat you. And I think
- 5:22Speaker 4: they've done a marvelous job, the coaching staff and preparing
- 5:25Speaker 4: these guys. They're always prepared with a tell or something
- 5:29Speaker 4: on the starter or something on a hitter that they
- 5:32Speaker 4: go after. And they've been playing really, really good baseball
- 5:37Speaker 4: and it's a rebuilding year and they're rebuilding at the
- 5:41Speaker 4: same time they're winning. It'll be interesting come closer to
- 5:45Speaker 4: the trade deadline how they navigate that. Jims said, they'll
- 5:48Speaker 4: have to be creative because they.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Want to build for the future, not the now.
- 5:53Speaker 4: But it's been fun and outside of you know, shirtless
- 5:57Speaker 4: dudes in the stands, there's also a lot of really
- 5:59Speaker 4: good baseball.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:01Speaker 5: Not many Cardinals fans have come back because of the
- 6:03Speaker 5: fact that Carlals fans want a product that the ownership
- 6:07Speaker 5: might might be putting something into and not just sucking
- 6:11Speaker 5: away from.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Some Wireless plans can get a little bit crazy, a
- 6:16Speaker 1: little bit off the charts expensive. Mint Mobile can get
- 6:20Speaker 1: you started with three months of premium wireless for fifteen
- 6:25Speaker 1: bucks a month.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Could it pretty good?
- 6:27Speaker 5: I like that the way gas prices are going up, Scott,
- 6:30Speaker 5: We've got to keep more mobile plan down and mint
- 6:32Speaker 5: Mobile is your location to keep your mobile plan down.
- 6:35Speaker 5: Can add family members. You can do all that for
- 6:37Speaker 5: just fifteen bucks a month.
- 6:39Speaker 1: That's less than a drink in many cities these days
- 6:42Speaker 1: if you like bougie drinks. All plans come with high
- 6:45Speaker 1: speed data and unlimited talk and text delivered on the
- 6:48Speaker 1: nation's largest five G network. If you like your money
- 6:50Speaker 1: mint mobile is for you. Shot plans at mintmobile dot
- 6:54Speaker 1: com slash territory. That's mintmobile dot com slash territory. Upfront
- 6:58Speaker 1: payment of forty five dollars for three month five gigabyte
- 7:00Speaker 1: plan required equivalent to fifteen bucks a month. New customer
- 7:04Speaker 1: offer for first three months only than full price plan
- 7:07Speaker 1: options available, taxes and fees extra cementt Mobile for details.
- 7:12Speaker 5: Do you feel like this change in these young guys
- 7:15Speaker 5: playing was what they thought was going to happen before,
- 7:19Speaker 5: but because of the way that maybe Mo had constructed
- 7:23Speaker 5: the lineup, that some of these guys never got to
- 7:26Speaker 5: play just one position. And now they're solidified. They know
- 7:30Speaker 5: they come to the ballpark and they are playing every day,
- 7:33Speaker 5: minus like three guys that kind of rotate in and
- 7:36Speaker 5: out of different spots.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:38Speaker 4: I'm not going to hang this on Mo, but clearly
- 7:42Speaker 4: part of the rebuild is giving guys more of a path,
- 7:45Speaker 4: giving them more playing time, and that's certainly been a
- 7:48Speaker 4: plus for this ball club. I just think what happened
- 7:52Speaker 4: early on is that I don't think anyone saw them
- 7:56Speaker 4: playing at this level.
- 7:58Speaker 3: I think they thought these guys.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Can compete, They're gonna be good, and then they'll be
- 8:02Speaker 4: good going into next year, and going forward, we'll see
- 8:04Speaker 4: what they are. But these guys were confident from day
- 8:07Speaker 4: one and they got off to a good start. And
- 8:10Speaker 4: the one thing this team really has is belief, right,
- 8:14Speaker 4: They believe that they were gonna win games. They all
- 8:16Speaker 4: say the same thing, so it's not just some guy
- 8:18Speaker 4: talking in a post game or pregame interview. They do
- 8:22Speaker 4: take it every game separately. They start fresh and we're
- 8:26Speaker 4: gonna beat the team in front of us. We're going
- 8:28Speaker 4: to find a way to win a game.
- 8:30Speaker 3: And look at last night.
- 8:31Speaker 4: I mean the Cardinals committed errors, they were hitting, the pitchers,
- 8:35Speaker 4: were walking guys and hitting guys, and the Cardinals won
- 8:39Speaker 4: it with four homers, right, four home runs. They find
- 8:43Speaker 4: different ways to win. They all do believe in each other.
- 8:46Speaker 4: And it's always late in a game that you figure
- 8:51Speaker 4: they're gonna make their move, and most times they really do.
- 8:55Speaker 3: And I don't really know how they got.
- 8:56Speaker 4: To this point except they're all buying in and from
- 8:59Speaker 4: the Cardinals standpoint, you know they're building for the future.
- 9:03Speaker 4: They restock the minor leagues, they added coaching staff, so
- 9:06Speaker 4: I think the next wave of players that are going
- 9:08Speaker 4: to come up are going to be better prepared. But
- 9:11Speaker 4: the Cardinals became good using two words as a philosophy,
- 9:16Speaker 4: cost certainty and between fan duel going under which that
- 9:21Speaker 4: was partly my fault is I was a fan duel employee.
- 9:25Speaker 4: The Cardinals had to take a haircut of millions of dollars,
- 9:28Speaker 4: plus with the labor dispute looming in the future, there's
- 9:32Speaker 4: no cost certainty. So I think they looked at it
- 9:34Speaker 4: as now's the time to let him do his thing
- 9:37Speaker 4: and restock and rebuild, because what him wants to do
- 9:40Speaker 4: is make them every season, you know, gunning for the
- 9:45Speaker 4: postseason and for a deep run in the postseason. But
- 9:48Speaker 4: right now to me, they look like they could possibly
- 9:52Speaker 4: be headed for the postseason.
- 9:54Speaker 3: We'll have to see. I know it's only mid May.
- 9:57Speaker 5: We had the stat sheet up and it had the
- 9:59Speaker 5: rankings and the league league just when you first started talking,
- 10:02Speaker 5: and it was fifteenth in hitting, seventeenth in overall pitching.
- 10:07Speaker 5: Are they just a middle tier team that's finding ways
- 10:10Speaker 5: to win these games or is it really this timely
- 10:15Speaker 5: hitting that they've been getting Because this pitching staff isn't
- 10:18Speaker 5: quite the staff that's going to be able to last
- 10:21Speaker 5: for an entire one sixty two because they don't strike
- 10:24Speaker 5: out a lot of guys, because they have some issues
- 10:28Speaker 5: with maybe giving too many free passes.
- 10:32Speaker 4: I understand baseball has a funny way of evening things out.
- 10:36Speaker 3: I get that right.
- 10:37Speaker 4: And you look at the roster and it certainly doesn't
- 10:40Speaker 4: knock you over. However, the fact that, like take for example,
- 10:44Speaker 4: they're starting rotation, right, you think, all right, you know,
- 10:48Speaker 4: they're not so great starting rotation. Their starters in the
- 10:52Speaker 4: month of May. Take last night's start out of it
- 10:55Speaker 4: had a what two point eight sub three er. Look
- 10:58Speaker 4: at their defense, You look at some of the analytics
- 11:01Speaker 4: on their defense, and they're like, that doesn't knock you down.
- 11:03Speaker 4: But then you watch the games and every game someone
- 11:06Speaker 4: makes an unbelievable.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Game saving play. Yeah.
- 11:09Speaker 4: I do think there's an element of the Cardinals rising
- 11:13Speaker 4: to the occasion at the right time, and perhaps that
- 11:16Speaker 4: will even out. But right now, it's not like they're
- 11:19Speaker 4: leaning on homers or pitching or defense. They get a
- 11:22Speaker 4: lot of that in key situations, but it's finding different
- 11:27Speaker 4: ways to beat you.
- 11:28Speaker 3: And you know, when.
- 11:30Speaker 4: Games go to extra innings seven and one, they's seven
- 11:33Speaker 4: and one in extra innings, right, It always feels like
- 11:35Speaker 4: the pressure is on the other team because the Cardinals
- 11:38Speaker 4: have been there and again since day one. They've kind
- 11:41Speaker 4: of instilled this belief into their ball club that they're
- 11:45Speaker 4: going to find.
- 11:45Speaker 3: A way to win. So will this hold up?
- 11:48Speaker 4: Look, I don't know, but I think there's a good
- 11:51Speaker 4: chance it may as the season rolls along. I'm not
- 11:54Speaker 4: seeing a lot of things diminish. I see some improvements
- 11:58Speaker 4: to the Cardinals starting rotation. Has been an uptick in
- 12:00Speaker 4: their ability to strike guys out. You know, they figured
- 12:03Speaker 4: out that they were falling behind early incounts. They're not
- 12:06Speaker 4: oh pitches, they're jumping ahead and counts. They're doing things,
- 12:11Speaker 4: you know, to put themselves in a position to maybe
- 12:13Speaker 4: go six, maybe seven. And another thing they've done with
- 12:16Speaker 4: their young with their rotation, which is young, they're spacing
- 12:20Speaker 4: about many cases, are getting an extra day arrest. They're
- 12:23Speaker 4: not pushing them even if they're pitching well, to go
- 12:26Speaker 4: seven or eight. And so these guys, hopefully because a
- 12:29Speaker 4: lot of them are going multiple innings as a big
- 12:31Speaker 4: league starter for the first time, and they're kind of
- 12:35Speaker 4: learning and adapting and maybe maybe they will be fresh.
- 12:40Speaker 5: Jim, what has Oli done to this team? To make
- 12:43Speaker 5: him so good. What's all these message for John Jay?
- 12:46Speaker 5: I know John Jay and descalso have probably brought tried
- 12:48Speaker 5: to bring him down. But what has Olie done.
- 12:50Speaker 2: To boost up these other two, especially those two coaches.
- 12:53Speaker 4: I don't know if he's brought players have always liked Dolly,
- 12:57Speaker 4: even when they weren't winning. Everyone played for I didn't
- 13:00Speaker 4: hear things in the clubhouse against Oli. I think he
- 13:04Speaker 4: has the ability to motivate, to appease the higher ups,
- 13:08Speaker 4: if it's Mow or hein bloom and this year.
- 13:11Speaker 3: And first of all, he's adorable like you.
- 13:13Speaker 4: He wears his hat backwards and you know, he walks
- 13:16Speaker 4: around like he's got groceries under his arms. He's done
- 13:19Speaker 4: a brilliant jumb job of managing. Aside from that, right,
- 13:23Speaker 4: he's he's got everyone to buy into what they need
- 13:26Speaker 4: to do, to listen to the coaching staff, even like
- 13:29Speaker 4: when the process for Walker wasn't working, when the process
- 13:33Speaker 4: for Gorman wasn't working, He's got guys to stay the course.
- 13:37Speaker 3: And the other thing he's done is.
- 13:39Speaker 4: He's reached out to fans and media and got them
- 13:43Speaker 4: on his side. I'm telling you there was a time
- 13:46Speaker 4: where you know, Ali wasn't beloved in this town. Now
- 13:50Speaker 4: he's buying blocks of tickets for people. He's on everybody's podcast.
- 13:54Speaker 4: If you have you know, three listeners, he'll come on
- 13:56Speaker 4: your podcast. He's winning people over. He already want his
- 13:59Speaker 4: team over. The organization is confidence. He's starting to win
- 14:03Speaker 4: over the fan base and they're winning. How can you
- 14:07Speaker 4: argue with that?
- 14:09Speaker 2: Jim? You know where he got that from, right.
- 14:11Speaker 5: The hat backwards, just this whole thing, his whole skit.
- 14:17Speaker 5: Ask him who is Ask him who his favorite player
- 14:20Speaker 5: was growing up as a kid.
- 14:23Speaker 3: Who is it? You?
- 14:27Speaker 2: Yep? I know I know that. Did you know he
- 14:30Speaker 2: went to the same high school?
- 14:31Speaker 3: Yes, but I didn't mean I didn't know.
- 14:35Speaker 5: Is there anybody else that if you went to the
- 14:36Speaker 5: high school I went to, Jim, that anyone else that
- 14:38Speaker 5: you would say he was your favorite player?
- 14:43Speaker 3: Maybe depends on the fan base. That was part of.
- 14:48Speaker 4: Did you also teach him to walk around like he's
- 14:50Speaker 4: got groceries under his arm, like he's a tough guy.
- 14:53Speaker 5: I try to tell him, I try to tell him
- 14:54Speaker 5: to put those down, but you know we're all jacked
- 14:56Speaker 5: from that school, so you know, that's just.
- 14:57Speaker 2: The way it is.
- 14:58Speaker 3: He is adorable. Don't you think.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Adorable is not the proper terminology? Jim, He's cute him.
- 15:04Speaker 4: Look, we we have the little meetings with Ali with
- 15:07Speaker 4: the broadcasters, and I always trying to make him uncomfortable.
- 15:11Speaker 4: So I was saying, what you look really adorable today?
- 15:14Speaker 4: And then between myself, Chip and some of the other
- 15:16Speaker 4: guys in there, we weren't sure who's the most adorable
- 15:19Speaker 4: if it's Schumacher or Ali, but they're the top two.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Schoemacher vocal with Schumacher.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Did you ever try that line with Larissa? You look adorable?
- 15:31Speaker 4: And he was not adorable? He was Look, I love
- 15:34Speaker 4: that guy he was. He was cranky. He didn't have
- 15:37Speaker 4: that kind of fun.
- 15:38Speaker 5: We love our dog Fella, who splays out in the
- 15:40Speaker 5: open sun on our floor like she's an underwear model,
- 15:43Speaker 5: and that's why we love her so much.

- 17:06Speaker 5: can get a while. I don't know they win the division,
- 17:08Speaker 5: but I think they can get a wildcard. H I
- 17:10Speaker 5: think if now listen, Heine Blue is gonna have to
- 17:12Speaker 5: get some reinforcements at some point, probably in the starting rotation.
- 17:16Speaker 2: But I think they can do it. I think that sure.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Why not?
- 17:19Speaker 5: I mean, no one thought they'd be even close to
- 17:21Speaker 5: where they are now. They have a nice little they
- 17:23Speaker 5: have a nice start already under their belt, and that's
- 17:25Speaker 5: huge if it would have got off to you know,
- 17:27Speaker 5: ten games under five hundred right now.
- 17:28Speaker 2: No chance.
- 17:29Speaker 5: They're getting rid of the people they could get rid
- 17:31Speaker 5: of and they're moving on. But they have a they
- 17:33Speaker 5: have a nice little cushion to where, you know, if
- 17:36Speaker 5: someone falters, they I mean, I'm not saying it's gonna happen,
- 17:39Speaker 5: but they have a chance. They have a better chance
- 17:42Speaker 5: than I would say the Marlins or the Mets or
- 17:45Speaker 5: some of the other teams do because they got off
- 17:46Speaker 5: to such.
- 17:46Speaker 2: A bad start.
- 17:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:48Speaker 1: One more point too, I consider I feel like we
- 17:51Speaker 1: don't talk about this enough on our show.
- 17:54Speaker 2: We do.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Injuries suck a segment on this all the time. You
- 17:57Speaker 1: tell me if I'm wrong. One of the more healthy
- 18:00Speaker 1: teams knock on wood for them in baseball at the moment,
- 18:03Speaker 1: we're not going over injury after injury, and fan bases
- 18:06Speaker 1: don't really consider that because they're so focused on their
- 18:08Speaker 1: own team and those two or three injuries that pop up.
- 18:11Speaker 1: But we're talking about some teams that have like double
- 18:13Speaker 1: digit injuries. The Astros don't have their top three starters
- 18:15Speaker 1: and some depth pieces in their attition. And we can
- 18:17Speaker 1: go down the line of all these teams missing a
- 18:19Speaker 1: ton of guys. Everyone's missing something, right, But the Cardinals
- 18:23Speaker 1: aren't missing a ton right now. Most of their guys
- 18:25Speaker 1: are healthy.
- 18:26Speaker 4: Yeah, and an they dodged a bullet with Mason Wynn
- 18:29Speaker 4: who had left knee discomfort. They did the imaging and
- 18:34Speaker 4: they said it came back clean, so he's good. You know,
- 18:38Speaker 4: you look at the cardinals last year starting rotation, I
- 18:40Speaker 4: mean started. I've been covering teams where you can't get
- 18:44Speaker 4: out of spring training without three starting pictures going down.
- 18:47Speaker 4: They had no injuries in their starting rotation last year.
- 18:51Speaker 4: I think they learned from that. Look, there's no way
- 18:53Speaker 4: to avoid injuries, but I do think the Cardinals have
- 18:56Speaker 4: a good plan on how to keep their guys as
- 18:58Speaker 4: healthy as possible. They also got some guys at Triple
- 19:01Speaker 4: A that I think they could plug into the starting rotation.
- 19:05Speaker 4: But that's I think a fair assessment. You take away
- 19:08Speaker 4: one of their key guys, you know, a walk or
- 19:10Speaker 4: a burly and uh, they got they got a lot
- 19:14Speaker 4: to make up for and to cover for that.
- 19:15Speaker 3: So yeah, that's fair. Right now they're healthy.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Do we give CC credit? Do we give CC credit?
- 19:21Speaker 5: Not that CC is not Chip carry by the way,
- 19:24Speaker 5: do we give Cec the trainer credit? And the fact
- 19:26Speaker 5: that he dyed his hair blonde for Team Puerto Rico
- 19:28Speaker 5: and he's a team player and he cuts everyone's hair
- 19:30Speaker 5: in the training room.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Does he deserve a lot of credit for everyone.
- 19:33Speaker 4: The keepsake baseballs, you know, for when a young player
- 19:38Speaker 4: does he does everything. Yeah, I'll give him credit. I've
- 19:40Speaker 4: seen a massage some guys. He's he's got the healing hands.
- 19:44Speaker 4: There's no question.
- 19:47Speaker 5: All right, Jim, I got one. Since I watched Cardinals Territory,
- 19:50Speaker 5: what are the chances because you said what are the
- 19:52Speaker 5: chances about playoffs for Cardinals? What are the chances when
- 19:55Speaker 5: Matt Holliday comes on that he's doing the show from
- 19:58Speaker 5: an actual sittings spot and not his car.
- 20:02Speaker 4: Zero this guy, look, this guy, great player, great guy
- 20:08Speaker 4: and really smart.
- 20:09Speaker 3: Right, he was going through him like an Arby's drive
- 20:13Speaker 3: through with his kids one time doing the show. But
- 20:19Speaker 3: you don't get it, you see, you guys don't get it.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Look when you're doing the show with former.
- 20:24Speaker 4: Professional athletes, and I guess AJ could be in that mix.
- 20:27Speaker 4: He's more broadcaster. But it's like hurting cats. Hey, everyone
- 20:32Speaker 4: says we're gonna do the show tomorrow at eleven thirty. Hey,
- 20:35Speaker 4: why are we doing at eleven thirty. I'm gonna be here.
- 20:38Speaker 4: I'm gonna be there. Lance Linn is going to be
- 20:41Speaker 4: riding a horse.
- 20:42Speaker 3: What are we doing? It's not easy, but we get
- 20:44Speaker 3: it done.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Yeah, but they don't. He doesn't even eat Arby's.
- 20:47Speaker 5: He doesn't even like Matt never never ate anything except
- 20:51Speaker 5: for fish and like seven orders of savice when you
- 20:55Speaker 5: would go out to heat. He never eats at Arby's.
- 20:57Speaker 5: But on your on your show, he's always going through
- 20:59Speaker 5: fast screw drive through.
- 21:01Speaker 4: Well, his kids are with him sometime. And let me
- 21:03Speaker 4: tell you a story about Mount Holli. This is a
- 21:05Speaker 4: good one. So when Matt was playing for the Cardinals,
- 21:08Speaker 4: they had their own chef, right, and you know on
- 21:11Speaker 4: the road trips there'd be junk food burgers or you know,
- 21:15Speaker 4: chips and stuff like that. But Matt wanted to eat healthy.
- 21:19Speaker 4: So the chef was offering different healthy varieties that could
- 21:24Speaker 4: be your food for the road trip. And you know,
- 21:26Speaker 4: Matt was telling the other guys to eat healthy, you know,
- 21:29Speaker 4: look like me and everything. And that lasted, I don't know,
- 21:33Speaker 4: like a month, maybe two months because Matt was the
- 21:36Speaker 4: only one ordering the healthy food.
- 21:40Speaker 2: He wasn't eating healthy when I was on the Cardinals,
- 21:41Speaker 2: I know that. Don't want to fool you. Yeah he was.
- 21:44Speaker 2: He was the fake healthy guy.
- 21:47Speaker 5: She was like ma, she was like Matt Carpenter. Matt Carpenter,
- 21:51Speaker 5: he was like mac.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Yeah, he was huge. He was no, he did actually
- 21:54Speaker 2: eat well.
- 21:55Speaker 4: You know what.
- 21:55Speaker 5: Matt Carpenter was the one who always thought he was
- 21:57Speaker 5: eating healthy and he'd sneaking ice cream bars everywhere. He
- 21:59Speaker 5: was the sneaky He was the skinny, fat guy.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Matt Carpenter where he would like have to disrupt everything,
- 22:05Speaker 1: like no, I can only have this. But then you'd
- 22:06Speaker 1: see him on the desert and.
- 22:08Speaker 5: Cat knows him right, you see Carboner over there with
- 22:10Speaker 5: ice cream. After he's likely what grilled chicken and salad,
- 22:15Speaker 5: and then he'd be over in the corner eating ice cream.
- 22:17Speaker 3: He got too skinny though, you need to know on
- 22:20Speaker 3: those bones. Holy, he got too skinny.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Agreed, Agreed.
- 22:25Speaker 5: We're talking about Matt Adams right now, are we talking about.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Matt?
- 22:31Speaker 4: Matt Adams is another one who appears regularly on a
- 22:34Speaker 4: on a cardinal territory from his boat.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Yes.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Yeah, nobody is in there in their homes. They're they're
- 22:41Speaker 1: out and about, and so is Gims. We're gonna let
- 22:44Speaker 1: him get to work, but Jim's to catch up work, Yeah, exactly.
- 22:49Speaker 3: Or listen, thank you for having me on.
- 22:51Speaker 4: I thought i'd get more abuse for having a tie,
- 22:54Speaker 4: but I have to go and do journalism at the ballpark.
- 22:58Speaker 2: And is now what you what you do?
- 23:01Speaker 5: By the way, I have Chip Carry absolutely blowing me
- 23:03Speaker 5: up this whole interview. And I'm not even gonna say
- 23:06Speaker 5: what he told me to say, so I'm just we're
- 23:07Speaker 5: just gonna let you go gracefully.
- 23:09Speaker 2: We're on YouTube.
- 23:11Speaker 4: Listen, Chip, you can't trust Chip, all right, you just
- 23:14Speaker 4: can't trust Chip Carry.
- 23:16Speaker 2: I do I do.
- 23:19Speaker 1: There's one thing, Well, Jim, you're the man. We love
- 23:21Speaker 1: the show. You do a great job corraling the crew.
- 23:24Speaker 1: I know that's half the battle, and I hope you
- 23:27Speaker 1: get to seven hundred subscribers in the next couple of
- 23:29Speaker 1: days and we'll see it.
- 23:30Speaker 3: With the seven thousand, seven thousand.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Sorry seven thousand. Yeah, I think you needed about seven
- 23:35Speaker 1: hundred to get to the seven thousand, but yes, seven thousand.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Just to make it clear, they're almost They're at sixty
- 23:41Speaker 1: eight hundred or something by the time this interview ended,
- 23:43Speaker 1: so uh, get ready, it could happen.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Thank you boys, Thank you.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Jim Cardinals keep playing. Well, you might actually see me
- 23:52Speaker 2: in Saint Louis for a game.
- 23:54Speaker 1: They might put him in the second app schedule, right,
- 23:56Speaker 1: may keep playing.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Well, that's right.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Hey, there's the crew, Hayes, Lynn Gibson, Holliday, Cardinal Territory
- 24:03Speaker 1: part of the Ft Network. It's combos like that.
