Speaker 1: Incorrect headlight software for the Porsche Taycan for 2024.
• 2:25
  Speaker 1: Incorrect headlight software.
• 2:29
Speaker 2: It's probably the dimming aspect of it.
• 2:31
Speaker 2: Who knows Make it come on and off.
• 2:33
  Speaker 3: I don't know.
• 2:33
Speaker 1: Yeah, the automatic, I don't know, but whatever the case may be, all right, we've got that taken care of.
• 2:40
Speaker 1: I'll put that in the finished pile.
• 2:42
Speaker 2: Put that in the finished pile.
• 2:43
Speaker 2: It's the one that's on fire over there.
• 2:46
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's been kind of on fire since we started the show today we kind of smoothed it out a little bit.
• 2:52
Speaker 1: We ironed it out, ironed it.
• 2:53
Speaker 1: So now I thought what we would do is play our little game of Hemings Sold Car, roundup, play along at home.
• 3:03
Speaker 1: What do you think We'll ask the deus, the panel here?
• 3:09
Speaker 1: What do you think?
• 3:11
  Speaker 1: A 1976 Pontiac Trans Am?
• 3:15
Speaker 1: It looks kind of rough.
• 3:16
Speaker 1: What do you think a 76 Pontiac Trans Am with the big chicken on the hood?
• 3:21
Speaker 1: What do you think that that would sell?
• 3:23
Speaker 1: For it was yellow, it's yellow, with kind of a golden black chicken hood.
• 3:29
  Speaker 3: I don't think I ever saw a yellow one.
• 3:31
Speaker 2: Well, there's one here.
• 3:32
  Speaker 2: I'm going to say $7,000.
• 3:34
  Speaker 2: Barnes.
• 3:37
  Speaker 3: It's on Hemings.
• 3:38
  Speaker 3: I'll go six.
• 3:41
Speaker 1: Well, you all overbid it because it sold for $4,600.
• 3:46
Speaker 2: That was my next guess.
• 3:47
Speaker 2: I'll give it to you, mike, you got closer.
• 3:50
Speaker 1: Now let's go to something that's much prettier A 1965 Chevrolet Corvette and the Corvette would happen to be a roadster, in other words, a convertible A 65 Chevy Corvette.
• 4:03
Speaker 1: It looks like a driver.
• 4:04
  Speaker 1: I don't think it's a convertible A 65 Chevy Corvette.
• 4:05
Speaker 1: It looks like a driver.
• 4:07
  Speaker 1: I don't think it's a show car.
• 4:09
Speaker 1: It's got a license plate on it.
• 4:11
Speaker 1: It's red in color.
• 4:13
Speaker 1: Don't know what the color at the top is, but 65 Corvette convertible.
• 4:18
Speaker 2: You want to go first?
• 4:19
  Speaker 2: No, go ahead.
• 4:19
  Speaker 2: $40,000.
• 4:21
  Speaker 1: I'll go $46,000.
• 4:22
  Speaker 1: How about $99,750?
• 4:27
Speaker 3: There's something that we're not seeing.
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: Correct?
• 4:29
Speaker 1: I would say so it's either.
• 4:31
Speaker 1: Did they do fuel injection in 65?
• 4:35
Speaker 3: I think they may have, but I'm thinking maybe it's a big block car.
• 4:38
Speaker 1: A big block something rare but I don't know why you would have aftermarket wheels on something like that and still get $99,000.
• 4:46
  Speaker 1: I don't know.
• 4:47
Speaker 1: I got one here for Jeff Now.
• 4:50
Speaker 1: Jeff's had a little trouble with his car.
• 4:52
Speaker 2: Yeah, I've had some mechanical issues, but they're all solved right now.
• 4:55
Speaker 1: Well, we can talk about those.
• 4:57
Speaker 1: You had the mass airflow sensor.
• 4:58
  Speaker 2: Mass airflow sensor.
• 4:59
Speaker 2: All that had to have it put on a rollback and then and then just lost a battery this past week, but that was under warranty.
• 5:08
Speaker 1: Aha, I'm familiar with that.
• 5:09
Speaker 1: You know the battery was low in the Corvette, so you used the Performance Optimus?
• 5:14
  Speaker 2: No, no.
• 5:15
Speaker 2: Did you put one back in?
• 5:15
Speaker 2: No, no, I haven't used the Optimus.
• 5:17
Speaker 2: I thought you had an Optima in it.
• 5:18
Speaker 2: I used to A yellow top.
• 5:20
Speaker 1: No, it was a red top, but I haven't had that.
• 5:23
Speaker 1: Oh, okay, I bought one from up here at Advance Auto.
• 5:27
Speaker 1: Okay, I think it's a diehard or something Could be.
• 5:33
  Speaker 2: It's a lead-acid battery.
• 5:34
Speaker 2: Well, you know all the battery manufacturers.
• 5:35
Speaker 2: There's only one manufacturer.
• 5:36
Speaker 2: They just label them in the factory.
• 5:38
Speaker 2: You know, because you've got the diehards, you've got the AC Delcos.
• 5:40
Speaker 2: They all come out of the same area.
• 5:45
Speaker 1: Well, delco's, they all come out of the same area.
• 5:46
Speaker 1: Well, at any rate, I too used up its warranty and it was only a year old.
• 5:50
  Speaker 1: I told him.
• 5:51
  Speaker 1: I said it's dead.
• 5:52
  Speaker 1: I think it's the charge.
• 5:54
Speaker 1: Let me just look at it.
• 5:55
Speaker 1: You need to charge it.
• 5:57
Speaker 1: That was when I had the seat malfunction.
• 6:00
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it was draining the battery.
• 6:01
Speaker 2: Yeah, the drain on it.
• 6:02
Speaker 2: He says don't worry about it, We'll just go ahead and replace it anyway, oh I remember that story because the guy quit or something.
• 6:09
  Speaker 2: The guy quit.
• 6:11
Speaker 2: Take any battery you want, take them all.
• 6:13
Speaker 1: I'm out of here, so here's a replacement for your Cadillac.
• 6:15
Speaker 1: Uh-oh, this is a 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood Looks completely stocked.
• 6:22
Speaker 2: Oh my God, Looks like it's brand new.
• 6:24
Speaker 1: The seats are this thick oh man A 96 Fleetwood Black.
• 6:29
Speaker 1: Okay, it's black and boy, it looks nice.
• 6:33
  Speaker 1: I would consider buying this if it weren't a 96.
• 6:36
Speaker 1: But what do you think, boys?
• 6:38
Speaker 1: A 96 Cadillac Fleetwood, that's a four-door, okay, it may or may not have a Landau roof on it, but 96.
• 6:48
Speaker 3: I'm going to go.
• 6:48
Speaker 3: I'll go with a flat 10, because I have no idea I was going to go 14.
• 6:55
Speaker 1: Well, in the middle, $11,550.
• 6:59
Speaker 1: It will not fit in the garage, no, it won't.
• 7:02
  Speaker 1: It's massive.
• 7:02
Speaker 1: But I'll tell you what I want to see it.
• 7:04
Speaker 1: I want to touch it, okay well, wait, there it is.
• 7:09
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, see it right there.
• 7:10
Speaker 1: Yeah, got it okay all right, let's move on to something.
• 7:14
Speaker 1: You're going to a funeral all the time, yeah, and you're driving yourself.
• 7:18
Speaker 1: I like it, uh, 67 ford mustang it.
• 7:22
Speaker 1: It's, uh's that bullet green looking car, oh yeah.
• 7:25
  Speaker 1: Fastback.
• 7:26
  Speaker 1: No, it's a notchback.
• 7:29
  Speaker 1: It's a notchback, but I'm thinking that it can't be a bullet.
• 7:34
Speaker 1: But it sure does look good that dark green, never green or greenwood green.
• 7:41
  Speaker 1: Whatever?
• 7:42
Speaker 2: it is British racing green.
• 7:43
Speaker 1: So what do you think?
• 7:44
Speaker 1: A 67 Ford Mustang painted up to look like the bullet car, $15,000.
• 7:48
  Speaker 1: $22,000.
• 7:49
  Speaker 1: $28,000.
• 7:50
  Speaker 1: $28,350.
• 7:52
Speaker 1: Okay, here's one for you.
• 7:53
Speaker 1: This is my dad's car, except this is a Bel Air and not a Biscayne, a 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air.
• 8:02
Speaker 1: And this particular Bel Air looks like a two-door to me.
• 8:05
  Speaker 1: Uh-huh.
• 8:08
Speaker 1: Well, they don't call it that, but yeah a two-door hardtop, so a 62 Chevy Bel Air hardtop.
• 8:14
Speaker 1: It's got weird-looking wheel covers on it, but it's all white.
• 8:20
Speaker 1: It looks like a company car, didn't?
• 8:23
Speaker 3: have the red stripe in it.
• 8:26
  Speaker 1: I can't see that.
• 8:26
Speaker 1: Oh, okay, A 1962 Bel Air.
• 8:30
Speaker 1: But I will tell you this it appears as though it's got like a 409 in it.
• 8:35
Speaker 1: It appears that way.
• 8:37
  Speaker 1: I don't know.
• 8:40
Speaker 3: That makes a big difference.
• 8:42
Speaker 3: It makes a big difference.
• 8:43
  Speaker 2: I'm going to go 21.
• 8:45
Speaker 3: Oh God, no, no, no, no, I would go 35, and if it's a 409, I would say 60.
• 8:52
Speaker 1: Well, you're close 55, 650 is what it went for.
• 8:56
Speaker 1: That's why I kind of think I'm looking at the badge.
• 8:58
Speaker 1: It's kind of hard to tell the picture.
• 9:00
  Speaker 2: There you go.
• 9:01
Speaker 2: My mother had a Chevrolet that year she had 62.
• 9:07
  Speaker 1: All right.
• 9:07
Speaker 1: Well, there it is, all right.
• 9:08
Speaker 1: Here's one for you, mars.
• 9:10
Speaker 1: You would be the standout.
• 9:12
Speaker 1: You would be the star in Neiderville.
• 9:21
Speaker 1: I thought he was A 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge.
• 9:27
  Speaker 1: That'd be one.
• 9:27
Speaker 1: You could take Becky on a date to the Friday night football game in.
• 9:31
Speaker 2: Is it the orange color?
• 9:31
Speaker 2: Yeah, it'd have to be.
• 9:32
Speaker 2: Yes, it's the a date to the Friday night football game in.
• 9:33
Speaker 2: Is it the orange color?
• 9:34
  Speaker 2: Yeah?
• 9:34
Speaker 1: It'd have to be.
• 9:34
Speaker 1: Yes, it's the orange and the judge, yeah, the judge.
• 9:35
Speaker 1: Here come the judge.
• 9:37
Speaker 1: And you know, from what I understand, that's where they got that from was the Laugh-In show?
• 9:42
Speaker 1: Yeah, from the TV show.
• 9:43
Speaker 1: Who was the judge?
• 9:44
  Speaker 1: Flip?
• 9:45
  Speaker 3: Wilson.
• 9:46
Speaker 3: Yep, I'm trying to.
• 9:47
Speaker 3: I just saw something about those cars.
• 9:51
Speaker 3: They were talking about the knockoffs and how to tell the differences between them.
• 9:55
Speaker 3: Well, I don't know anything about that I'm going to say that it 67 for me, 67 for you.
• 10:04
Speaker 1: Okay, this is a 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge Come on, mars 38.
• 10:09
  Speaker 1: 38.
• 10:10
  Speaker 1: $44,100.
• 10:12
Speaker 1: Oh, I'll give you that one.
• 10:13
  Speaker 1: Mars $38,000.
• 10:14
  Speaker 1: $38,000.
• 10:15
  Speaker 1: $44,100.
• 10:16
Speaker 1: Oh, I'll give you that one too.
• 10:17
Speaker 1: All right, here's one 84 Buick Regal.
• 10:20
Speaker 1: It looks like a turbocharged, you know black 84 Buick Regal.
• 10:26
Speaker 1: Obviously a two-door Looks pretty good.
• 10:29
  Speaker 1: Originality I don't know.
• 10:32
Speaker 1: But 84 Buick Regal looks like a Grand National car.
• 10:36
Speaker 3: But it doesn't say it's a Grand National car.
• 10:38
Speaker 1: Well, it's got the emblem on it.
• 10:39
Speaker 1: No, it doesn't say that.
• 10:41
Speaker 3: Well, we're going to assume it's a Grand National then yeah, 22.
• 10:46
  Speaker 1: 32.
• 10:46
  Speaker 1: 26, 250.
• 10:48
Speaker 1: I'm going to take that one.
• 10:49
Speaker 1: If that's an all-original, I mean you never know these days, but you see it right there.
• 10:55
Speaker 1: It looks pretty good, that'd be something to go home with.
• 11:01
Speaker 3: You know, when we were on the Hot Rod Tour down around the square, there was one Grand National down there.
• 11:05
Speaker 1: He kind of modified it a little bit, but basically the car was stopped and that was the one that was kind of ugly under the hood, wasn't it?
• 11:12
Speaker 1: Yeah, because he had done some mods Well not only that, but I mean it was just kind of it was a driver.
• 11:17
Speaker 1: Yes, 1996 Volkswagen Combi Combi.
• 11:24
Speaker 1: It's kind of along the lines of a Westfalia Okay, which is one of those that's got the camper, yeah, race top, yeah, the canvas race top thing that you can crank up when you get onto a camping trip.
• 11:37
  Speaker 1: That's called a Combi Combi 96.
• 11:40
  Speaker 1: Vw Combi.
• 11:42
Speaker 1: I can show you a picture of it there.
• 11:46
Speaker 1: It is right there.
• 11:47
  Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
• 11:49
  Speaker 1: It's a mini bus.
• 11:49
  Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, okay.
• 11:50
  Speaker 1: So what do?
• 11:50
Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, it's a mini bus, yeah, yeah, okay.
• 11:52
Speaker 1: So what do you think that that would sell for $46,000.
• 11:55
  Speaker 1: $42,000.
• 11:56
  Speaker 3: $29,000.
• 11:58
Speaker 3: I know somebody that just got screwed.
• 12:00
  Speaker 2: I'm closer.
• 12:01
Speaker 1: No, I know somebody that just got screwed really bad.
• 12:03
Speaker 1: And this is the last one.
• 12:05
Speaker 1: 1989 BMW 535i four-door sedan, red in color.
• 12:12
Speaker 1: Looks like it's got factory wheels.
• 12:13
Speaker 2: You had one on your history picture that was a 730i.
• 12:17
  Speaker 2: No, this is a 535i.
• 12:19
  Speaker 1: Oh, 535,.
• 12:21
Speaker 1: Okay, this is a 5 Series.
• 12:21
Speaker 1: So BMW 1989, nice-looking car, looks stock.
• 12:26
Speaker 1: What do you think that that would sell for?
• 12:28
Speaker 1: I picked this out because of the price.
• 12:35
Speaker 3: Yes, mars, I'll pay $100 to throw it off $12,000.
• 12:37
Speaker 1: I have no idea.
• 12:38
Speaker 1: Well, you know what they say about BMWs Bring more money, break my wallet, yeah, yeah.
• 12:47
Speaker 2: So what do you guess?
• 12:49
Speaker 3: Oh, I was going to pass, but I'll say me $7,000.
• 12:54
  Speaker 1: $5,500.
• 12:55
Speaker 1: Damn Okay, but then you've got to keep it running.
• 13:00
  Speaker 1: That's the problem.
• 13:01
  Speaker 1: That's the problem.
• 13:04
Speaker 3: It's like when my brother he bought him a Harley Davidson one time and he figured out real quick all that.
• 13:09
Speaker 3: Hd, that means $100.
• 13:10
Speaker 3: Everything's $100 to start with that.
• 13:12
Speaker 3: Hd, that means $100.
• 13:13
  Speaker 3: Everything's $100 to start with HD, hd, $100 $100.
• 13:16
  Speaker 2: $100.
• 13:16
  Speaker 1: $100.
• 13:17
Speaker 1: I did want to go over our remote schedule and I bring that up because when we end the show today, in about 45 minutes, we're going to have to pack up the studio as we say, pack and rip studio as we say, packing her up and we're going to take the old studio down to Woody's Waterfront Custom Car Show in San Leon, texas, and we are going to be on the air there from 10 am to 1 pm.
• 13:46
Speaker 1: So we're going to have an extended show that day, special three hour, just because of where we're at, an extended show that day Special, three hour just because of where we're at, yeah, and that'll give us more opportunity to talk to more vehicle owners that show up and put their
• 13:58
Speaker 1: car in the show and it's interesting because many of the shows that we go to they kind of like the same cars all the time, but down there first of all.
• 14:06
Speaker 1: It's down there and it attracts cars from down in that area of town and you think, well, wait just a minute, that's not.
• 14:09
Speaker 1: It's down there and it attracts cars from down in that area of town and you think it'll wait just a minute, that's not.
• 14:14
Speaker 1: It's kind of like on the edge of houston.
• 14:15
Speaker 1: Yeah, it is, but you got different cars over there on the southeast side, around the bay, draw cars from clear lake yep, um, galveston, galveston, county, bra, all that.
• 14:29
Speaker 1: So anyway, it's a good car show and, as I said, in the commercial great backdrop for pictures with your car or of your car, yep, there are.
• 14:38
Speaker 1: So because you've got that beautiful bay out there, I believe it's.
• 14:43
Speaker 2: Trinity Bay, isn't it?
• 14:43
Speaker 2: If you get there early.
• 14:44
Speaker 2: I've taken pictures every year of just the water, the sunrises, and they're gorgeous.
• 14:48
Speaker 1: They're gorgeous pictures, right.
• 14:50
Speaker 1: So Part of the sunrises, and they're gorgeous.
• 15:02
Speaker 1: They're gorgeous pictures, right.
• 15:03
Speaker 1: So that's next weekend and then in three weeks we'll be at the Space City Corvette Show SCCC oh okay, in Stevenson Park in Friendswood.
• 15:07
Speaker 1: We're looking forward to that.
• 15:08
Speaker 1: That's a show that, thanks to our good friends over at Emmons Autoplex, they sponsored to get us down there.
• 15:15
Speaker 1: It's a great show under the trees in a beautiful park, beautiful setting.
• 15:17
Speaker 3: You guys haven't been there you talked about it since you've been down there, and then whenever we put the commercial together, it's a lot of nice pictures the big draw for me is the setting under that huge canopy of trees.
• 15:35
Speaker 1: Uh live oaks down there and they've got a great big uh mayberry kind of uh bandstand gazebo thing it's.
• 15:45
Speaker 1: It's really nice down there and food trucks and all that stuff so cool and there's a lot of cars you're looking for something besides the concrete parking lot environment?
• 15:52
Speaker 3: Yeah, none of that.

Speaker 1: I haven't talked to her in a long time.
• 20:10
Speaker 1: Anyway, time now on the In Wheel Time Car Talk Show for this week's Jeff's feature, and it's going to be drive-ins the few we have left.
• 20:19
Speaker 2: Okay, here we go.
• 20:21
Speaker 2: Even though drive-ins are not nearly as popular as they used to be, there are still drive-ins around.
• 20:26
Speaker 2: Some show current movies, some show classic movies.
• 20:29
Speaker 1: Look, it's the In Wheel Time drive-in.
• 20:31
  Speaker 1: There you go.
• 20:32
  Speaker 2: How about that.
• 20:32
Speaker 2: Thank you for that, michael.
• 20:33
Speaker 2: A lot of them also show double features, just like the classics and the good stuff that we used to watch, some in black and white even.
• 20:40
Speaker 2: But for now there are over 300 drive-ins still in operation.
• 20:43
Speaker 2: Ohio, new York and Pennsylvania have the most in the country.
• 20:47
Speaker 2: They've got almost 30 of them just in those areas of that country, mainly because of the weather Well, yeah, let's face it of that country.
• 20:52
Speaker 2: Mainly because of the weather.
• 20:53
Speaker 2: Well, yeah, let's face it Exactly, and they don't really do much over there.
• 20:56
Speaker 2: Unfortunately, hawaii, north Dakota, wyoming, alaska, delaware, louisiana they no longer have drive-ins at all.
• 21:03
Speaker 2: It was in 1933, a gentleman by the name of Richard Hollingshead opened the first drive-in in an Autobahn in North Cameron, new Jersey.
• 21:13
Speaker 2: It paid 25 cents and you can get to see the movie.
• 21:17
Speaker 2: Bring your car in.
• 21:18
Speaker 2: The first movie, don, was called Wives Beware, I was there, I know I was there.
• 21:23
Speaker 2: The concept of showing movies outdoors was novel.
• 21:26
Speaker 2: Here's how he did it.
• 21:28
Speaker 2: His mother was a large woman and she couldn't get around, so he put her in the back seat of his car and he would put screens up in his yard and show movies.
• 21:38
Speaker 2: He put a projector on his hood and show movies.
• 21:40
Speaker 2: It took on in the neighborhood.
• 21:41
Speaker 2: Everybody wanted to see it.
• 21:43
Speaker 2: So that's how he first conceived the idea and it took off.
• 21:48
Speaker 2: So he patented the idea in 1933 and then put a building together and all that stuff and the gates opened that year.
• 21:55
Speaker 2: The second drive-in was opened in Shank Wheelers, which is in Pennsylvania, near Pennsylvania.
• 22:01
Speaker 2: A few others followed in that area.
• 22:04
Speaker 2: They kept building them and building them and by the 40s it was very, very popular.
• 22:09
Speaker 2: Everybody wanted one in their town.
• 22:10
Speaker 2: They offered family entertainment, mike, they would sit in their cars, you could bring your babies, you could smoke your cigars.
• 22:17
Speaker 2: Drive-ins offered more flexibility than the indoor theaters, but the theaters were more flexible about showing more scheduled, more current movies than they could get in the outdoors.
• 22:31
Speaker 2: Many tickets were sold for that and you could get the options of going to the concession stand.
• 22:41
Speaker 2: Some dudes served food, some had activities for the kids and things Hot dogs, baby Hot dogs Playground.
• 22:47
Speaker 2: But as it dwindled and as the weather and the more popular indoor movies came to be more prevalent around the country, the drive-ins were relegated to show the B movies and eventually some showed the X-rated movies.
• 23:04
  Speaker 2: How dare they?
• 23:04
Speaker 2: And some of the drive-ins, by showing the naughty movies, helped them survive.
• 23:09
Speaker 2: Now, if you look across the world the other parts of the world there's about 100 drive-ins existing outside of the United States, mainly in Canada and in Australia, but that concept is dwindling there as well.
• 23:22
Speaker 2: China is becoming a country that has more popular outdoor drive-ins as well.
• 23:28
Speaker 2: Here's a couple of my favorites.
• 23:29
Speaker 2: You got the Stars and Stripes drive-in where, in New Braunfels.
• 23:32
  Speaker 2: We've been there.
• 23:33
  Speaker 2: It was great.
• 23:33
Speaker 2: That's coming up on a picture there.
• 23:36
Speaker 2: Also, the Stars and Stripes located in New Braunfels, built from the ground up in 2015.
• 23:42
Speaker 2: The same family owns it and operates it today.
• 23:44
Speaker 2: The Brazos Drive-In in Granbury, texas, which I want to go see the next time that we're in Granbury.
• 23:49
Speaker 2: It's a single screen theater located in Granbury, which is about an hour's drive out of Fort Worth, texas, and there you go.
• 23:58
Speaker 1: Thank you, sir, Yep.
• 23:59
Speaker 1: All right Time now for this hour's car review.
• 24:02
Speaker 1: Mr Mars has the 2024 Chevy Equinox that he's going to tell us about, except this is the EV model.
• 24:09
Speaker 3: Yes this is the new model for 2024,.
• 24:11
Speaker 3: The EV and we happen to have it actually comes in five trim levels a 2LT, a 2RS, a 3LT, a 3RS and a 2RS launch edition, where we had the RS, the 2RS model.
• 24:29
Speaker 3: So it's kind of a mid-trim level, if you will.
• 24:30
Speaker 3: It is a little bit larger than its gas-powered twin, if you will.
• 24:33
Speaker 3: The RS provides a more sporty trim with some new styling.
• 24:37
Speaker 3: That goes on it.
• 24:38
  Speaker 3: It's really a good-looking vehicle.
• 24:39
Speaker 3: The first time I saw it I came around the corner here at Don's.
• 24:42
Speaker 3: It was when he had it and it was in the morning light in the driveway and with the red color and stuff.
• 24:47
Speaker 3: It was just a really good-looking car.
• 24:48
Speaker 1: I thought that you were making fun of my eyelash makeup or something.
• 24:52
Speaker 3: It was glistening Well, I was doing that too, but that was kind of a hidden in there Glistening.
• 24:55
Speaker 3: So it comes with the RS package.
• 24:57
Speaker 3: It comes with a black badging.
• 24:58
Speaker 3: It's got black roof rails.
• 25:00
Speaker 3: It actually has 21-inch aluminum wheels that are blacked out as well.
• 25:03
Speaker 3: It's got the LED lighting all the way around with the intelligent headlights up front so they kind of follow you as you turn, they'll kind of shift for you and give safety and protection and visibility.
• 25:13
Speaker 3: It has flush door handles that extend out whenever you get up close to it with a key, and outside heated mirrors all the nice things that you would want in that type of a car.
• 25:22
Speaker 3: Now you get into the inside of it.
• 25:23
Speaker 3: You're looking at EvoTex seating surfaces.
• 25:26
Speaker 3: What do you call it?
• 25:28
  Speaker 3: It says E-V-O-T-E-X.
• 25:30
Speaker 3: I couldn't find a good definition for that.
• 25:32
  Speaker 3: It's kind of a leather-type seating surface.
• 25:36
Speaker 3: The front seats are not even that I don't think corinthian heated front seats.
• 25:42
Speaker 3: The rear seats are 60 40 split set up and the rear seats also have, uh, an armrest, that kind of fold down out of the seat.
• 25:50
Speaker 3: For the rear passengers got a 17.7 inch diagonal lcd panel in and that's where you're going to find all your convenience controls, all your radio, your audio, your stereo, and it also has Google in it.
• 26:02
Speaker 3: Google's starting to make way into some cars that kind of make it a little bit different to get to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto if that's what you're looking for Does have an 11-inch driver display, which you're going to find all your connections and all the things that the driver wants to know.
• 26:18
Speaker 3: We used to call it the gauge package.
• 26:19
Speaker 3: Now this is a front-wheel drive vehicle and it's an EV, so it's got an electronic component and all the horsepower and stuff that comes out of that.
• 26:28
Speaker 3: It's all converted, but I will tell you it runs really well and the EPA says, according to their sheet, you should get about 101 miles in the city to a charge and 90 on the highway and 96 combined.
• 26:42
Speaker 3: Anyway, I drove this car 256 miles in one trip and it's supposed to have a 310-mile range.
• 26:52
Speaker 3: Now, I did charge it one time so that I could get home from here, because it wouldn't quite make it that far.
• 26:57
  Speaker 3: It was $18.
• 26:58
Speaker 3: And when I went to charge it for the full charge, I went to a public charger at a dealership, plugged it in and went from 10% all the way to 100%.
• 27:08
Speaker 3: Had the brand-new general manager come up and ask me why this bright red Chevrolet was sitting in front of his Hyundai dealership at 8.30 in the morning.
• 27:15
Speaker 3: So we discussed it and he said, fine, I told him I'd be out of there before he opened his doors.
• 27:22
Speaker 1: But the really cool thing was you were stealing his electricity.
• 27:24
Speaker 3: Well, no, it's out there public and he has the gate open so that people can do it, but he thinks it's going to be primarily Hyundai dealers, hyundai people.
• 27:30
Speaker 3: He asked me why I wasn't at.
• 27:31
Speaker 3: Chevrolet doesn't have a charger that I can get to and I said I put my credit card in.
• 27:36
Speaker 3: He said, okay, if you put your credit card in it's good, but apparently he's so new.
• 27:41
Speaker 3: I looked at my credit card statement and there's no charge for that.
• 27:44
Speaker 3: They've got the machine turned to where it doesn't charge.
• 27:47
Speaker 3: It charges it back to the dealership.
• 27:48
Speaker 3: Perfect, perfect, thank you very much Hyundai dealer there in Nederland Now as, as far as riding it goes, it's got a little bit stiffer tires.
• 27:56
  Speaker 3: I mean it's an EV, so it's a smooth ride.
• 28:01
Speaker 3: I would like different tires, but all EVs are that way, oh for God.
• 28:04
Speaker 3: Base model on this is $43,295.
• 28:08
Speaker 3: Now base trim price that we were driving was $43,400.
• 28:13
Speaker 3: The test price was $50,795.
• 28:16
Speaker 3: Wow, lots of things out there to look at in the Hyundai, Kia and even the Volkswagen's got some that are comparable in price and range.
• 28:23
Speaker 3: So if you're looking, be sure and look around at all of them, because they all offer something a little bit different.
