- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's best music is Jazz ninety four nine.
- 0:04Speaker 2: And welcome to another episode of Scotti and Abbey Unfiltered.
- 0:08Speaker 3: We were just talking to our boss yesterday.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Didn't realize because neither Abby, you or I are parents
- 0:12Speaker 2: on how close we are to the actual school year.
- 0:15Speaker 2: And there are so many things that I didn't realize
- 0:17Speaker 2: parents have to do, like in the end of July, Oh.
- 0:20Speaker 1: You gotta like sign up for everything.
- 0:21Speaker 3: It seems ridiculous.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Christmas in July, y'all.
- 0:24Speaker 2: It was Christmas in July when you're on vacation. I
- 0:26Speaker 2: saw a bunch of run clubs had the little standa
- 0:28Speaker 2: hats on. But I digress. But if you're getting ready
- 0:30Speaker 2: for that time period, I do wonder, like what are
- 0:33Speaker 2: the things that are the most stressful to try to
- 0:35Speaker 2: find in the stores? Like is it the clothing for
- 0:37Speaker 2: your kids? Is it every year that their style changes?
- 0:40Speaker 2: And what was your style when you were going to school, Abbey.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Back in the day, it was whatever was on sale
- 0:47Speaker 1: at Abercrombie, because that's where I wanted to shop when
- 0:49Speaker 1: I was a kid, was Abercrombie Kids. And I guess
- 0:53Speaker 1: i'd go to Target too, But I don't know. I
- 0:55Speaker 1: didn't really have like a strong sense of fashion. It
- 0:57Speaker 1: was just like jeans and whatever shirt would cover my
- 1:00Speaker 1: shoulders and fit the dress code. Yeah, so annoying.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Ours was like my mom took me to J C.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Penny every single summer, like that's where we went hard,
- 1:08Speaker 2: especially like elementary school was a bunch of polos.
- 1:10Speaker 3: I think I had one year of like uniforms.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Yeah, so j C.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Penny was the spot.
- 1:14Speaker 2: And then when I could start making my own decisions,
- 1:16Speaker 2: then it became like Quicksilver, you remember that brand, like
- 1:19Speaker 2: a little bill of bong.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Well, I'm from like South Georgia, North Florida. It was
- 1:23Speaker 1: very preppy, like boat shoes and vineyard vines.
- 1:28Speaker 2: We had some of that. When I got into high school,
- 1:30Speaker 2: I was like all Nike, all athletes.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Yeah yeah.
- 1:32Speaker 2: But then the island kids because Vero Beach is split
- 1:35Speaker 2: up into like two. You have the mainland, you go
- 1:37Speaker 2: over the bridge and you're on the island. Yeah, it's like, oh,
- 1:39Speaker 2: those kids had the boat shoes, the nice polos, the
- 1:42Speaker 2: little shorts that have little anchors on them or little boats.
- 1:45Speaker 3: That was the whole style that. Yes, Oh my god.
- 1:48Speaker 1: It's funny. I feel like we're always dressing for the
- 1:51Speaker 1: phase of life we're not in quite yet. Like I
- 1:54Speaker 1: think my junior and senior year was like cause playing
- 1:56Speaker 1: being in a sorority, like you like Frockets were big
- 2:01Speaker 1: front pocket t shirts. Frocket from like total frat move
- 2:05Speaker 1: or something.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Gosh, yeah, that was like when you're in high school
- 2:07Speaker 2: and you're like, I want to be that so bad?
- 2:09Speaker 1: Yeah? Or what was it?
- 2:10Speaker 2: I had like Southern Tide. I remember I discovered that brand.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I was like, this is the coolest brand ever?
- 2:16Speaker 1: Is that the one the bow's in the pocket?
- 2:17Speaker 2: I think that was the one with it just bows
- 2:20Speaker 2: on the pocket. I don't remember bos on the pocket.
- 2:22Speaker 2: That seems that might have been the elevated experience. I
- 2:25Speaker 2: got into Polo big time.
- 2:27Speaker 1: When all those were big. I don't know that Polo
- 2:29Speaker 1: brand was big where I was at, but it was
- 2:30Speaker 1: a lot of like Vineyard vines with the whale.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Yeah, that one I couldn't afford. I couldn't do vinyard
- 2:34Speaker 2: BD frackets. I went to the Polo outlet in the
- 2:38Speaker 2: Indian River Outlets.
- 2:40Speaker 3: There you go. It did fine, was like.
- 2:42Speaker 1: It was big. I remember I had like two Lily
- 2:44Speaker 1: Pultzer dresses and I was like, I'm the coolest person
- 2:46Speaker 1: who's ever walked into this high school.
- 2:48Speaker 2: So for all the parents that are now dealing with
- 2:51Speaker 2: fitting your kid's style of what they want to do
- 2:54Speaker 2: for this school year, I salute you because I know
- 2:57Speaker 2: it's expensive.
- 2:58Speaker 1: It's tough. I mean, like, have you ever seen those
- 3:00Speaker 1: tiktoks where it's like I can't believe that the same
- 3:03Speaker 1: salary that's funding my Italy trip is funding you know
- 3:07Speaker 1: this their kids back to school wardrobe.
- 3:09Speaker 2: See, that's what's wild to think of because right now,
- 3:12Speaker 2: you know, buy for myself, set up in my future.
- 3:14Speaker 2: But I do think about that a lot of like,
- 3:16Speaker 2: all right, I see the next five to ten years,
- 3:19Speaker 2: like starting a family, and based off of how I'm
- 3:23Speaker 2: wealth my finances now and as in not well, not
- 3:27Speaker 2: really budgeted.
- 3:27Speaker 3: I'm like, oh my god, I'm like, what is a budget?
- 3:30Speaker 2: That's literally yesterday I sat there on my computer for
- 3:32Speaker 2: like hours and I'm like, all right, let me break
- 3:35Speaker 2: this sucker up. Let me see what money's going where.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Because if you don't think about it, you'll be subscribed
- 3:40Speaker 2: to things for over a year without realizing that you're
- 3:43Speaker 2: actually subscribed to them.
- 3:44Speaker 3: I know, it's so painful.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I didn't realize I even had a Peacock subscription until
- 3:48Speaker 1: I wanted to watch Love Island. I was like, oh,
- 3:50Speaker 1: I still have this from last year. Oh good.
- 3:52Speaker 2: They're so happy that you forgot. They're like, oh, we'll
- 3:54Speaker 2: take your fifteen.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Dollars every month.
- 3:55Speaker 1: They will every single month.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Every single month. There's different things that are going through.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Peak was one for you. I think I had a
- 4:01Speaker 2: workout subscription on mine that like, I got a free trial,
- 4:05Speaker 2: and you sign up for the free trial, and then
- 4:07Speaker 2: it's a year later.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I'm like, you got to cancel it immediately. You gotta
- 4:10Speaker 1: sign up for it and then immediately hit cancel subscription.
- 4:12Speaker 2: That's what I just did on Canva because I did
- 4:14Speaker 2: the whole free trial. It's like, God, Canvas the worst
- 4:17Speaker 2: it is because at first you use it and you're like,
- 4:19Speaker 2: and you tell yourself, I'm gonna use this thing all
- 4:22Speaker 2: the time.
- 4:22Speaker 3: It's going to expand my business and my horizons.
- 4:25Speaker 2: M hmm. Then fifteen dollars a month, six months later
- 4:28Speaker 2: and you haven't used it once. It gets me every time.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Fifteen is crazy.
- 4:32Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 4:33Speaker 2: But honestly, there's a couple and actually this is where
- 4:35Speaker 2: we're talking about it a little bit earlier on the show.
- 4:37Speaker 2: But I like the idea of people talking about the
- 4:39Speaker 2: things that are truly worth the dollar, oh for sure,
- 4:42Speaker 2: but also the things that are absolutely not.
- 4:45Speaker 1: The funny thing is, I made that list on TikTok
- 4:47Speaker 1: of things I thought were worth it, and then I
- 4:49Speaker 1: got way past five. I'm like, maybe I'm just a glutton.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Oh wait, I missed your TikTok. That okay, so what
- 4:53Speaker 3: do oh you didn't?
- 4:54Speaker 1: Yeah, because I didn't. I needed to edit it because
- 4:56Speaker 1: I'm like, I can't say fifteen things are worth the money,
- 4:58Speaker 1: because then people are just people. We're just gonna be like, well,
- 5:01Speaker 1: you spend it on everything. I'm like, I don't make
- 5:03Speaker 1: a lot of money. I'm just bad, really money.
- 5:05Speaker 3: I think that's really what it comes down to.
- 5:07Speaker 1: I'm just a glutton, and I don't want people to
- 5:08Speaker 1: think I'm like some bougie bitch with all like never
- 5:11Speaker 1: ending funds.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Well let's talk about that then, because what are the things?
- 5:14Speaker 2: And this could be for the memberships around Tampa Bay,
- 5:18Speaker 2: this could be for clothing brands, this could be for
- 5:21Speaker 2: food and drink. The things and this will be in
- 5:23Speaker 2: two uh huh. The things that are truly worth the dollar,
- 5:26Speaker 2: things that are not worth it and then just fully overrated.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Okay, for me, what was worth it cosmetic surgery.
- 5:36Speaker 3: That's a good one.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Though, but I'm glad because it was. I mean, it's
- 5:38Speaker 1: probably the thing I've spent the most money on is
- 5:41Speaker 1: my appearance. But I think it's worth it. Like when
- 5:43Speaker 1: I feel really good in my skin, my life is better.
- 5:46Speaker 1: But that's because that's worth it for me. That's not
- 5:48Speaker 1: worth it for everybody. Of course, some people don't give
- 5:50Speaker 1: a fuck, and that's totally fine. I wish I was,
- 5:51Speaker 1: like you, you know, I could bought a house by
- 5:53Speaker 1: now you know what I mean?
- 5:54Speaker 3: Yeah, very true, very true.
- 5:55Speaker 1: I've had a nose job, I have veneers and I
- 5:58Speaker 1: spend a lot of money on my hair times a year.
- 6:00Speaker 2: That makes sense, And it's like you're literally we were
- 6:02Speaker 2: just talking about this. You are with yourself every day
- 6:05Speaker 2: for the rest of your life.
- 6:05Speaker 1: You are the house that you live in every single
- 6:08Speaker 1: day for the rest of your life. So it's the
- 6:09Speaker 1: house I want to invest in the most.
- 6:11Speaker 3: I completely agree.
- 6:12Speaker 2: I think for me, when it comes down to that,
- 6:13Speaker 2: like I will spend any dollar when it comes to
- 6:15Speaker 2: my health. Of when it comes to eating good food
- 6:18Speaker 2: yeap or luckily I have like I work with Crunch
- 6:21Speaker 2: here in the Tampa Bay Area. But if I didn't
- 6:24Speaker 2: have them, I would pay for a gym membership and
- 6:26Speaker 2: a heartbeat and maybe even like one that's I don't know,
- 6:29Speaker 2: let's just say kind of bougie, yeah, because I value
- 6:33Speaker 2: what that could bring to the longevity of my life.
- 6:36Speaker 1: I completely agree.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Where there's some that I saw, like different clubs around
- 6:40Speaker 2: the Tampa Bay area, and I'm not going to name
- 6:41Speaker 2: any specifically that maybe play like sports.
- 6:44Speaker 3: I'm like, I don't value that, Oh, Lifetime actually would
- 6:49Speaker 3: pay for Lifetime.
- 6:49Speaker 1: What do you value the most about your Crunch membership
- 6:52Speaker 1: that you give for free.
- 6:52Speaker 2: I value the amount of space that I have to
- 6:55Speaker 2: go and change my workouts up. Like the equipment's new,
- 6:58Speaker 2: it's nice and and there's so much of it that
- 7:01Speaker 2: even though it's extremely crowded, and they know that about themselves,
- 7:04Speaker 2: it's like the most popular gym.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Yeah, ever that you still will.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Have something to do when you step in, So like
- 7:10Speaker 2: I switch it up all the time. I'll go in
- 7:11Speaker 2: there and do my own workout, or I'll go do
- 7:13Speaker 2: like a hit workout, or I could do a cycling workout,
- 7:15Speaker 2: I could do zoomba classes, do it all. And honestly like,
- 7:19Speaker 2: that's not even if I wasn't paying it, it would
- 7:21Speaker 2: still end up being like fifteen bucks. Oh wow, like
- 7:24Speaker 2: my quote unquote free membership. It's just fifteen bucks a month.
- 7:28Speaker 2: I was paying it when I first moved to tamp
- 7:29Speaker 2: and I was going to USF. That was the first
- 7:31Speaker 2: gym membership I bought on my own. I was like, oh,
- 7:33Speaker 2: I'll go to Crunch, and here I am a decade later,
- 7:37Speaker 2: still going to Crunch. Oh god, completely worth it. What's
- 7:39Speaker 2: something else on your list? So you have cosmetics? I
- 7:41Speaker 2: say health?
- 7:42Speaker 3: I like that.
- 7:42Speaker 1: I guess I would agree. I'll do a quick one
- 7:44Speaker 1: where I do agree with you, because I saw somebody
- 7:46Speaker 1: on TikTok being like, how are you guys affording these
- 7:48Speaker 1: unlimited solid core memberships. I'm like, it's really not that
- 7:50Speaker 1: much more than the like if I was going to
- 7:52Speaker 1: do eight a month, and I'm like for an extra,
- 7:55Speaker 1: I think it's like an extra fifty or seventy five
- 7:56Speaker 1: dollars a month. I'm like, I can go to as
- 7:58Speaker 1: many as I want. I'm like, that's pretty great. Like
- 8:01Speaker 1: I don't have to feel like I have to constantly budget,
- 8:03Speaker 1: like that's worth the extra fifty to seventy five dollars.
- 8:05Speaker 1: I can't remember how much it is. Also, I did
- 8:07Speaker 1: sign up for the year long membership, so I also
- 8:09Speaker 1: got like a thirty percent discount. And as long as
- 8:11Speaker 1: you use it, then that's the thing, is I do
- 8:13Speaker 1: use it exactly? What else is worth it to me?
- 8:17Speaker 1: Let me just pull up my TikTok Oh Canon G
- 8:19Speaker 1: seven X, my very expensive camera, which, to be fair,
- 8:22Speaker 1: I didn't buy that. My parents bought that for me
- 8:24Speaker 1: for Christmas. That was literally my one Christmas present and
- 8:27Speaker 1: it has done so much for my self confidence because
- 8:32Speaker 1: of how good the photos are.
- 8:33Speaker 3: I love that it makes.
- 8:35Speaker 1: It has made making it is made taking photos more fun. Yeah.
- 8:39Speaker 2: So it's like, if you're going to take a memory
- 8:41Speaker 2: and you want to look back and actually appreciate it,
- 8:43Speaker 2: why not have a photo that you're actually happy to
- 8:45Speaker 2: look at?
- 8:45Speaker 1: Like how many times have you been on vacation, like
- 8:47Speaker 1: for example, me and Nintucket this weekend? Have you wanted
- 8:49Speaker 1: to take a photo and you pull out your iPhone
- 8:51Speaker 1: and you go, that doesn't look how I want it
- 8:53Speaker 1: to look.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Isn't that crazy iPhones are like the best they're supposed
- 8:57Speaker 2: to be, like the best camera in the world.
- 8:59Speaker 1: It's like too realistic, Like it doesn't look like how
- 9:02Speaker 1: I'm picturing it in my head, Whereas when I take
- 9:05Speaker 1: a Canon G seven X photo and my cousin's there
- 9:07Speaker 1: and she gets the lighting right, It's like, this is
- 9:10Speaker 1: exactly how I wanted it to look. And now I
- 9:12Speaker 1: feel excited to share these memories because you guys are
- 9:15Speaker 1: gonna get to see it how in my head I
- 9:17Speaker 1: see it.
- 9:18Speaker 3: I like that.
- 9:18Speaker 2: See those are things like yeah, like if you show
- 9:21Speaker 2: someone that price tag, they would say you're gonna spend
- 9:24Speaker 2: that on a camera when you have it on your phone,
- 9:26Speaker 2: and you'd say, well, yeah, because these are the photos
- 9:29Speaker 2: that I actually want to share.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Yeah, this is the vision that I have.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Like the last couple of photos I've taken. Let me
- 9:34Speaker 1: see the one I posted from my Nantucket weekend that
- 9:36Speaker 1: was with the G seven X, and I look insane.
- 9:39Speaker 1: I'm like, that's not me, Like the photos look so
- 9:43Speaker 1: good and just like I'm like, yeah, that's exactly how
- 9:45Speaker 1: I wanted to look in that photo. I mean, granted,
- 9:48Speaker 1: I have a photo of me with a Margarita on
- 9:49Speaker 1: my iPhone as well.
- 9:50Speaker 3: That one too.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Okay, the second photo was from like the professional photos,
- 9:54Speaker 1: but don't get me wrong, like the professional photos look
- 9:57Speaker 1: great for our headshots. I'm like, I kind of wish
- 9:59Speaker 1: you would to use my.
- 10:00Speaker 2: G seven X because you know what I like about
- 10:02Speaker 2: it is it actually shows that it's a photo, Like
- 10:05Speaker 2: it literally has that photo look to it where you're like,
- 10:07Speaker 2: this is nice.
- 10:07Speaker 1: It looks like a picture. Does that make sense? Like
- 10:10Speaker 1: it looks like that's a photo that somebody took.
- 10:12Speaker 2: I think that's funny because I'm like, and I was
- 10:13Speaker 2: talking about this of like my girlfriend's birthday, and I
- 10:16Speaker 2: was looking at one of the things I thought, and
- 10:18Speaker 2: I still might get and this will be released on
- 10:19Speaker 2: her birthday, so you know what, maybe I will. I
- 10:21Speaker 2: was gonna get like a little disposable camera and just
- 10:24Speaker 2: to have for the nights to just be different, to
- 10:27Speaker 2: have a different look instead of just the iPhone the videos,
- 10:31Speaker 2: and this way you could actually go get them printed
- 10:32Speaker 2: out and they have that picture actual filter to them.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Yeah. People love the disposable look because they're like, that's
- 10:38Speaker 1: a photo, correct, that's a picture.
- 10:40Speaker 2: For some reason, I don't know, I had the thought
- 10:42Speaker 2: last night, I was like, maybe I want to This
- 10:44Speaker 2: sounds way not like me, but like a scrap book,
- 10:46Speaker 2: not scrap but like a photo book.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Yeah, like that would be kind of fun.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Instead of just scrolling through folders on your phone, you
- 10:52Speaker 2: then have a little picture book that you look back
- 10:54Speaker 2: on and who knows how long.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Yeah, you have something tangible.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Something I think that's truly worth it. And I was
- 10:59Speaker 2: talking to a buddy about this, is I do so
- 11:01Speaker 2: much running. I think a good pair of walking or
- 11:04Speaker 2: running shoes ooh yeah, that is a game changer for
- 11:07Speaker 2: people that are going either to the theme parks and
- 11:09Speaker 2: you're like, I just don't want to walk around, or
- 11:11Speaker 2: maybe you just want to take your daily afternoon strolls.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Finding the shoe that truly fits you.
- 11:17Speaker 2: And it doesn't have to be a brand, because everyone's
- 11:19Speaker 2: brand's different, but spending the little extra money on a
- 11:22Speaker 2: shoe that feels good, that helps your body, you will
- 11:27Speaker 2: feel the difference, immedia, because I've done it all. I've
- 11:28Speaker 2: done the try to save money thirty dollars running shoes completely,
- 11:31Speaker 2: and then I've done the two hundred dollar running.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Shoes, hocahs, the new balances, and it's weirdly worth it.
- 11:37Speaker 1: But I also because I feel the same way. So
- 11:39Speaker 1: I'm wearing a pair of shoes that actually wear a
- 11:41Speaker 1: complete spontaneous purchase for me. They're my blue new Balances,
- 11:45Speaker 1: And in my head, I'm like, this is so dumb.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Why am I spending so much money on a pair
- 11:48Speaker 1: of shoes just re spontaneously, Because historically I'll just wear
- 11:51Speaker 1: like the same pair of slides all the time, and
- 11:54Speaker 1: then like one pair of running shoes. I wear these
- 11:56Speaker 1: all the time, literally all the time. And then I
- 11:58Speaker 1: have another pairrot that I we're kind of a pull
- 12:00Speaker 1: spy that I bought before I moved here. I wear
- 12:02Speaker 1: them all the time. But in my head, I'm like,
- 12:04Speaker 1: two hundred dollars feels like so much money right now.
- 12:06Speaker 2: But then you wear them literally every day exactly, Like
- 12:08Speaker 2: if you look at it like that, I'm so happy.
- 12:10Speaker 2: I had a friend that did this. He's like, break
- 12:12Speaker 2: down the price by how often you use it.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Your costs per wear exactly, and you're like.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Oh, wait a second. Well then it's like, oh, this
- 12:17Speaker 3: is only three cents every day.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Because I feel this, I used to feel the same
- 12:21Speaker 1: way about activewear, like I would always get my active
- 12:23Speaker 1: Wear on Amazon, and there are sets that I do
- 12:25Speaker 1: like from Amazon, but I realized since moving to Tampa,
- 12:28Speaker 1: all I wear is active wear. Like I don't wear
- 12:31Speaker 1: jeans to work, I don't wear like a nice button down.
- 12:34Speaker 1: I wear sweatshirts and active wear. And I'm like, oh,
- 12:38Speaker 1: I feel really good when i have a good active
- 12:41Speaker 1: wear set on. And I've spent a lot of money
- 12:43Speaker 1: on actibear recently, but I'm like, I wear it all
- 12:45Speaker 1: the time, and I enjoy wearing it, and it makes
- 12:47Speaker 1: working out more enjoyable when I feel like I have
- 12:50Speaker 1: something cute on.
- 12:51Speaker 2: I've never seen someone get more excited for a release
- 12:53Speaker 2: for something online.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Oh there's another one today.
- 12:54Speaker 3: I'm very excited, Oh are you going to go ahead?
- 12:56Speaker 1: And so I'm getting I'm getting a lounge wear set
- 12:59Speaker 1: from it. So I've been buying a lot from Set
- 13:01Speaker 1: Active recently. Set Active has been my favorite recent in
- 13:04Speaker 1: recent days, in recent days as in like the last month.
- 13:09Speaker 1: And they have a pair of lounge where I wear
- 13:12Speaker 1: them ass pajamas that I really enjoy because they're like
- 13:16Speaker 1: my my type of lounge wear, Like I don't want
- 13:18Speaker 1: to wear like a sweat set. Like we live in Florida.
- 13:21Speaker 3: It's too hot.
- 13:22Speaker 1: It's too hot. I don't want to sleep in that.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Whereas they have like a tank top. It's not spand X,
- 13:28Speaker 1: but they're like shape like Spandex shorts, and I wear
- 13:30Speaker 1: span X all the time to the point where like
- 13:32Speaker 1: sometimes I was sleeping it, but I'm like, I don't
- 13:34Speaker 1: want to sleep in span X or like my workout clothes. Yeah,
- 13:36Speaker 1: so it's like a pair of cotton nit span X shorts,
- 13:39Speaker 1: if that makes sense. Well, that's cozy, it's very comfortable.
- 13:41Speaker 1: And now they are coming out with a tank top
- 13:43Speaker 1: version of the long sleeve sets that I've had.
- 13:45Speaker 2: That makes sense because there are certain clothing brands and
- 13:47Speaker 2: I do want to talk about this because I've found
- 13:49Speaker 2: recently I thought the hype was going to be too much,
- 13:52Speaker 2: and for the first time I decided to go ahead
- 13:53Speaker 2: and buy a pair of Bombas Bomba socks. Bomba Socks.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Let me go ahead and just this is none of this.
- 14:01Speaker 2: By the way, we also, by.
- 14:02Speaker 1: The way, we need affiliate links for the sex.
- 14:03Speaker 3: I was gonna say, like get paid for it.
- 14:06Speaker 2: But Bombas they're like supposed to be these incredibly comfortable
- 14:10Speaker 2: socks that when you buy a pair, they donate a pair,
- 14:13Speaker 2: so it's also like you're giving back. I thought the
- 14:16Speaker 2: hype was too much. It ain't really my favorite and
- 14:19Speaker 2: most comfortable socks I own. I bought two pairs and
- 14:22Speaker 2: it's one of those. And you probably have a clothing
- 14:24Speaker 2: item like this where it's like you have to really
- 14:27Speaker 2: weigh out when you wear them, like you want to
- 14:28Speaker 2: be it for the right day, the right time, because
- 14:31Speaker 2: you want to get the most out of that wear.
- 14:33Speaker 1: You want the most people to see it.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, I feel that the Bombas are that, and
- 14:36Speaker 2: it's not even like, gosh, I wish I was getting
- 14:38Speaker 2: paid for it. Definitely not. They're taking my money because
- 14:41Speaker 2: they're expensive. It's like fourteen dollars for one pair of socks. Yeah,
- 14:45Speaker 2: holy crap.
- 14:46Speaker 1: I feel that way about certain high heels. I mean,
- 14:49Speaker 1: like you want to if I'm gonna wear somebody that's
- 14:50Speaker 1: harder to wear, or if they were more expensive, I
- 14:52Speaker 1: want the people to see them if I'm gonna take
- 14:54Speaker 1: a photo in it.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Yes, like if I'm gonna wear these socks, like, I
- 14:56Speaker 2: want to be making sure that I'm on my feet
- 14:58Speaker 2: all day to get the most out of this one.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Because Noody's gonna see him, but I'll feel.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Them that you'll feel it.
- 15:03Speaker 2: And I also say that with and this could be
- 15:05Speaker 2: over hype and you can push back on this one
- 15:07Speaker 2: because I only have one clothing item that's from Lululemon. Now,
- 15:13Speaker 2: I have a T shirt and it was from It's
- 15:15Speaker 2: not even it's an iron Man shirt that I got
- 15:17Speaker 2: at the race that's Lululemon brand. Yeah, it is the
- 15:21Speaker 2: softest most comfortable shirt I own.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Really, and I thought it was going to be over hyped.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Same thing, dudes, love a Lululemon moment. It's ridiculous because
- 15:29Speaker 1: love Lululemon.
- 15:30Speaker 2: It's too expensive for me to say, like, oh, I
- 15:32Speaker 2: think I would do that again. But maybe on like
- 15:35Speaker 2: a Christmas gift, maybe a birthday and somebody gets me
- 15:38Speaker 2: a Lululemon pair of shorts or a shirt and that's
- 15:41Speaker 2: the only gift. I'd be extremely happy with it because
- 15:43Speaker 2: the quality of it. It lives up to the hype,
- 15:46Speaker 2: at least in my eyes.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Hey link bio with code Scott word.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Please, I'd be nice to be able to get paid
- 15:55Speaker 2: for that one. What about the things that are not
- 15:57Speaker 2: worth the hype? And this can be all over Tampa
- 16:00Speaker 2: specific travel specific all the things things that.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Are not worth the money in Tampa.
- 16:05Speaker 2: In your eyes, maybe it's been because you had some
- 16:08Speaker 2: good lists when you came here. Yea of things that
- 16:11Speaker 2: were just like really, that's that's getting all the rage.
- 16:14Speaker 1: There's a lot of restaurants that I don't feel like
- 16:16Speaker 1: are worth the money. But it's not like, oh, I
- 16:18Speaker 1: think that restaurant's so bad. It's just like I think
- 16:20Speaker 1: a majority of the stuff isn't worth the money. Like,
- 16:22Speaker 1: for example, I complimented Roca on their Monzarella cart today.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Correct I wasn't impressed by their pasta when I went.
- 16:28Speaker 3: Then that's valid to say, you know, I want every
- 16:30Speaker 3: dish has to win you over.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Not every dish has to win you over. I personally
- 16:34Speaker 1: don't think spending a whole bunch of money at Roca
- 16:37Speaker 1: on all of their pastas was worth it for me.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Not that I spent the money mine my dad.
- 16:41Speaker 3: Did, Thanks Papa, Thanks Dad.
- 16:45Speaker 1: I'm trying to think what else do I think is
- 16:46Speaker 1: not worth the money in Tampa.
- 16:50Speaker 2: This is where it gets tough because the one I
- 16:52Speaker 2: had recently, and this is from my like, I got
- 16:54Speaker 2: too drunk the other night, So it's not fair to
- 16:56Speaker 2: me to say, but I will say it because in
- 16:57Speaker 2: the moment I was too drunk and I couldn't appreciate
- 16:59Speaker 2: the drink was the what was the.
- 17:02Speaker 3: The la Pluma, thelu Pluma lounge.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Oh, those weren't worth it for you.
- 17:06Speaker 2: I don't think I could fairly say, But in this moment,
- 17:08Speaker 2: I will say no, because I was twenty dollars per
- 17:11Speaker 2: a drink, and I mean it.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Was just maybe it was too late in the night. Yeah,
- 17:16Speaker 3: the environment was fine.
- 17:18Speaker 1: If you're gonna have a twenty dollars drink, that needs
- 17:20Speaker 1: to be your first drink.
- 17:20Speaker 2: I need someone to be on a piano. I need
- 17:23Speaker 2: someone to have a big old leaf waving it over
- 17:25Speaker 2: my shoulder.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Where do they have big leaves?
- 17:27Speaker 3: Nowhere? But if I'm gonna spend that much money.
- 17:29Speaker 1: For a drink, I want someone to feed me grapes.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Like I felt like I just walked into another bar
- 17:33Speaker 2: where I was like and again my vision's kind of
- 17:36Speaker 2: blurry of that moment.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll go back one more time, Go back.
- 17:40Speaker 1: One more time, because I'll bounce off in the same vein.
- 17:43Speaker 1: I don't think drinks that the addition are worth it
- 17:45Speaker 1: for the price.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Oh see, I can't even comment. I'm still to this point.
- 17:48Speaker 3: I've never been to the Edition.
- 17:49Speaker 1: So the Addition is the main nice hotel in Channel Side,
- 17:53Speaker 1: which is like the downtown district with like all the
- 17:55Speaker 1: nice restaurants, all the things. So the Addition has a
- 17:58Speaker 1: couple of bars. I remember I was trying to go
- 18:01Speaker 1: to Bulan or the Pearl or one night just to
- 18:03Speaker 1: like have a bed by myself, and I couldn't get anywhere,
- 18:06Speaker 1: so I ended up going to the Addition. And the
- 18:09Speaker 1: Addition drinks are so expensive, like twenty or twenty five dollars,
- 18:14Speaker 1: and while they're good, I remember I finished my apparel
- 18:16Speaker 1: sprits in like seven seconds, and I'm like, that was
- 18:18Speaker 1: twenty five dollars.
- 18:19Speaker 3: It goes by so quick.
- 18:20Speaker 1: It goes by so so fast, I.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Wonder if a stay there is worth it. Dave Portnoy says, no,
- 18:26Speaker 3: that's crazy.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Did you ever see that? Dave Portnoy went on like
- 18:28Speaker 1: a big brant about how much he hates the Tampa Edition.
- 18:31Speaker 3: No, I didn't, he did, as parts of it did
- 18:33Speaker 3: he hate.
- 18:33Speaker 1: I think they like weren't very hospitable to him. He said,
- 18:36Speaker 1: like the room was really not that nice for the price.
- 18:39Speaker 1: They weren't very like accommodating for him and his dog
- 18:41Speaker 1: that I think he brought. But the Addition is also
- 18:43Speaker 1: one of those places. It's like, because it's so facy,
- 18:46Speaker 1: so many influencers go and get like the stay there's
- 18:48Speaker 1: like an iconic stairwell you're supposed to get photos in that.
- 18:51Speaker 1: I think like they're just kind of living off their hype.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it's that's the problem right now with all the influencers.
- 18:58Speaker 2: I was just talking to a friend about this of
- 19:00Speaker 2: if you have so many influencers talking about all these places,
- 19:03Speaker 2: like you're now just doing it for content instead of quality. Yeah,
- 19:06Speaker 2: you're just trying to get posts up instead of truly
- 19:08Speaker 2: finding the gems that are in this area. And I
- 19:12Speaker 2: haven't stayed at some of these hotels, but if I
- 19:15Speaker 2: could go and say what ones are worth it, Like
- 19:17Speaker 2: I can only imagine if you stay at the Dancesar,
- 19:20Speaker 2: that's worth it.
- 19:21Speaker 3: Yeah, my brother and there, it's crazy.
- 19:23Speaker 1: My brother and his wife really loved the Dawn. They
- 19:25Speaker 1: stayed there for a night.
- 19:25Speaker 3: And that's expensive.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Alexia, who's like the Saint Pete Queen, she said that
- 19:30Speaker 1: she prefers the benoid.
- 19:31Speaker 3: To the dan Czar's tough.
- 19:32Speaker 1: She says, the Dawn is more family friendly, whereas the
- 19:35Speaker 1: noois a little bit more like a more mature adult experience.
- 19:38Speaker 2: See, I would say, and I would push back on
- 19:40Speaker 2: that because I think it just comes down to what
- 19:42Speaker 2: you could do when it comes to your stay when
- 19:45Speaker 2: I go. Let me go ahead and make this clear.
- 19:47Speaker 2: I've never stayed at the dan Cizar, not yet. But
- 19:50Speaker 2: when you go there, you literally walk out the back
- 19:53Speaker 2: and you're on the beach.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Oh yeah, boom.
- 19:54Speaker 2: The sunsets are the greatest that you will see right there.
- 19:57Speaker 2: They got the lounge chairs, the pools are beautiful, the
- 19:59Speaker 2: bars are beauty. They have a bar when you go
- 20:01Speaker 2: upstairs that is literally a guy playing the guitar so
- 20:04Speaker 2: soft that it almost just tickles your ear. And then
- 20:08Speaker 2: the bar has the most dim, beautifully set lights. That's
- 20:12Speaker 2: the quality that I'm looking for. That's not with your family,
- 20:15Speaker 2: that's for you and your boo.
- 20:16Speaker 3: They got a.
- 20:17Speaker 2: List full of restaurants and bars on different levels, so
- 20:19Speaker 2: it's like you find your space.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Now. Have I stayed there, No, But does it seem nice? Yes?
- 20:25Speaker 2: And I think that has a better experience than Thevanoi
- 20:28Speaker 2: because the Vanoy although nice, beautiful restaurant, beautiful bar.
- 20:31Speaker 1: But you could say the same thing about the beanoit
- 20:33Speaker 1: you step out and you're right on beach Drive. Yeah,
- 20:36Speaker 1: it just depends on what. It depends on what experience
- 20:38Speaker 1: you're looking for. Because also, like if you went on
- 20:40Speaker 1: like a Saturday in March, it's gonna be kid central
- 20:44Speaker 1: and that's not very like romantic, whereas I feel like
- 20:47Speaker 1: the Benoit doesn't draw kids in as much. Yeah, to
- 20:50Speaker 1: where I feel like it also adds to like the
- 20:52Speaker 1: more mature environment.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Gosh, it's almost it actually is almost a curse.
- 20:55Speaker 2: And I do, like I love a staycation, yeah, but
- 20:58Speaker 2: it almost is a curse to be so close because
- 21:00Speaker 2: you can't justify it.
- 21:01Speaker 1: I can't justify spending fifteen hundred dollars to go stay
- 21:03Speaker 1: at the Banoi exactly because I'd rather just spend one
- 21:05Speaker 1: hundred and fifty dollars on the uber.
- 21:06Speaker 3: That's there, exactly like the fact we did.
- 21:10Speaker 2: Luckily, I stayed at the Fenway Hotel in Dunedin, and
- 21:12Speaker 2: that was just because I had I auctioned and I
- 21:15Speaker 2: got a certificate to stay there. That was an amazing experience,
- 21:19Speaker 2: but that was just far enough away where it almost
- 21:22Speaker 2: felt justified.
- 21:22Speaker 3: You're like, Okay, it's a forty minute drive.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Yeah, so we're kind of out of our circle of
- 21:28Speaker 2: what we're used to and it's on the beach.
- 21:31Speaker 3: And it is on the beach. You get to go
- 21:32Speaker 3: check out new beaches that you don't see.
- 21:34Speaker 2: You're in a new city that you can explore, like
- 21:36Speaker 2: duneed and seeing different bars.
- 21:37Speaker 1: You gotta get like a good deal on the dawn
- 21:39Speaker 1: of a wife to be like, oh yeah, let's like
- 21:41Speaker 1: go ahead. Normally it's six hundred dollars a night, but
- 21:43Speaker 1: now it's three hundred dollars a night. You know, let's
- 21:45Speaker 1: do one night there or two nights there.
- 21:46Speaker 2: I think I did see recently, and maybe this is
- 21:48Speaker 2: just because of the hot season, it was one thousand
- 21:50Speaker 2: dollars a night, where I was like, oh.
- 21:51Speaker 3: My god, god, dang whea. Yeah, really it's rent money,
- 21:55Speaker 3: that is but it was nice and I said this,
- 21:57Speaker 3: you know why.
- 21:58Speaker 2: I did a little staycation a couple month ago, and
- 22:00Speaker 2: it helped because it wasn't as hot, but like one
- 22:02Speaker 2: of those beach resorts that was a sweet stage like staycation, yeah,
- 22:06Speaker 2: because you literally walk out and the beach vibe is
- 22:09Speaker 2: just different.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Than what you're getting at home. For sure, that was
- 22:11Speaker 1: worth the actual dollar. What else do I not think
- 22:14Speaker 1: is worth it?
- 22:18Speaker 3: And this could be also in your travels that you've
- 22:19Speaker 3: experienced to maybe.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Okay, so it doesn't have to be Tampa related.
- 22:22Speaker 3: No, it could be.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Doesn't have to be because this is obviously if you're
- 22:25Speaker 2: listening to the podcast we've seen you might not live
- 22:27Speaker 2: in Tampa.
- 22:27Speaker 1: This is where we disagree.
- 22:29Speaker 3: Oh, bring it.
- 22:31Speaker 1: I for the money for me, for how expensive it
- 22:36Speaker 1: is for me, I don't think the live flat first
- 22:41Speaker 1: class is worth it?
- 22:43Speaker 3: Oh okay?
- 22:45Speaker 1: Is it nice?
- 22:46Speaker 3: Is it nice?
- 22:46Speaker 1: Is it incredibly enjoyable? Would I love to do it again? Absolutely?
- 22:52Speaker 1: For the price of the average live flat seat, like
- 22:56Speaker 1: it's usually ten thousand dollars round trip, that is not
- 23:00Speaker 1: worth it to me. However, I did fly Jet Blue
- 23:02Speaker 1: to Ireland and I think I got like a live
- 23:05Speaker 1: flat seat for like eighteen hundred dollars worth it?
- 23:08Speaker 3: Okay, worth it? Yeah?
- 23:10Speaker 1: Maybe not to Ireland because it's only like six six
- 23:13Speaker 1: six hours, but like if I was going fourteen hours
- 23:17Speaker 1: something around two three thousand, okay worth it? Ten thousand
- 23:20Speaker 1: dollars for a live flat seat.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Now, see this is actually a good one because when
- 23:24Speaker 2: I only have done first class one time.
- 23:26Speaker 3: And it was incredible.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Where'd you fly it to?
- 23:29Speaker 2: It was from gosh, coming back from Spain. Yeah, coming
- 23:34Speaker 2: back from Spain to Canada, and that was their stop.
- 23:38Speaker 2: So it was like an eight nine hour flight, okay,
- 23:40Speaker 2: So it was just long enough where you could lay back,
- 23:43Speaker 2: you could take a nap, you could watch two three movies,
- 23:45Speaker 2: you have all your meals. And the only reason that
- 23:48Speaker 2: happened it was because it was the day before and
- 23:51Speaker 2: got the message.
- 23:51Speaker 3: I was like, hey, for just five hundred dollars, you get.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Up great worth it, worth it, immediate, absolutely worth it. Now.
- 23:59Speaker 2: I then had the that like, Okay, whenever I go international,
- 24:02Speaker 2: I'm going to try to find the way in order
- 24:04Speaker 2: to make that happen. Yeah, they're usually longer flights, and
- 24:08Speaker 2: if I'm going to go and treat that as part
- 24:10Speaker 2: of the vacation, I might as well make it worth it.
- 24:12Speaker 2: But as you said it, I did have a thought,
- 24:14Speaker 2: and I thought about, Okay, if it's going to be
- 24:17Speaker 2: ten thousand dollars for a round trip, I'd actually rather
- 24:20Speaker 2: take that money and put it toward the stay in
- 24:22Speaker 2: the actual city that I'm going to be in.
- 24:24Speaker 1: That's how I feel like, you know what, I almost
- 24:25Speaker 1: think is more worth it because I am so impressed
- 24:30Speaker 1: at my ability to lock in on a long flight.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Like I was a little bit worried about our flight
- 24:34Speaker 1: from Greece last year because I did economy obviously, because
- 24:38Speaker 1: it was going to be crazy expensive, and I just
- 24:41Speaker 1: I literally just dialed in. I was like, you know
- 24:43Speaker 1: what it's going to be fourteen hours, just sit here,
- 24:46Speaker 1: movie TV show, movie TV show, snack, like, just lock in.
- 24:50Speaker 1: And it really wasn't that bad. Is it comfortable? No?
- 24:53Speaker 1: But no flight experience really is. And what would be
- 24:58Speaker 1: worth it instead, Like, let's say it's gonna be ten
- 24:59Speaker 1: thousand to go around trip. Literally just book your or
- 25:03Speaker 1: book your hotel for the night before so when you land,
- 25:07Speaker 1: you can go straight to your hotel.
- 25:08Speaker 3: Room and go right and get a nice rest and.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Get a shower and a sleep in and then maybe
- 25:15Speaker 1: extend your your trip another day.
- 25:17Speaker 2: See that's why I thought I had a hack, and
- 25:19Speaker 2: I'm kind of going back on it. But like after
- 25:21Speaker 2: that first class experience, I was like, I'm gonna get
- 25:22Speaker 2: a credit card that gets me those points that I'm
- 25:24Speaker 2: gonna actually be able to make these things happen.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Well, for sure, if you have like a Delta Reserve
- 25:28Speaker 1: card and you can do it like once maybe twice
- 25:30Speaker 1: a year, oh yeah, hell ye do it.
- 25:32Speaker 2: But for what you could get instead of that but
- 25:35Speaker 2: painful price.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think, oh yeah, well, or do.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Something to like cushion the blow when you come back
- 25:41Speaker 1: from your when you come back from your trip, Like
- 25:44Speaker 1: I remember, I was trying to extend my trip in
- 25:46Speaker 1: London two years ago, and it was gonna be like
- 25:48Speaker 1: two thousand dollars for me to extend the trip. I'm like,
- 25:50Speaker 1: that's just not that's like, respectfully, I can't do spend
- 25:52Speaker 1: that kind of money. And so I was like, you
- 25:54Speaker 1: know what, when I come back, I'm going to have
- 25:56Speaker 1: a spot a at the Waldorf.
- 25:58Speaker 3: That's a great way to make it work.
- 26:00Speaker 1: And so instead of spending three thousand dollars to stay
- 26:02Speaker 1: in London for one more day, I was like, I'll
- 26:04Speaker 1: spend three hundred dollars to go get a massage when
- 26:06Speaker 1: I come back.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:07Speaker 3: At least, and then you have something to look forward to.
- 26:09Speaker 1: And then if somebody look forward to and then being
- 26:10Speaker 1: back in the States doesn't feel like as bad as
- 26:13Speaker 1: it it could.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Be because it almost is like again, a weird thing
- 26:16Speaker 2: about like in that first class at one time I
- 26:18Speaker 2: had is it almost makes it sad to get off
- 26:20Speaker 2: because you're like, I spent the money I really want
- 26:23Speaker 2: could we just take another lap h Yeah, like go
- 26:25Speaker 2: around the States trying to back. Yeah, like I just
- 26:27Speaker 2: want one more movie.
- 26:28Speaker 1: What is worth it for the long flights in that
- 26:30Speaker 1: specific in that specific seat, is it is nice to
- 26:33Speaker 1: have privacy and like, yeah space because you're like, you know,
- 26:37Speaker 1: when you're in the airport and you're constantly around people,
- 26:38Speaker 1: and you're like, it is nice to sit down and
- 26:40Speaker 1: go ah, like I don't feel like you fully get
- 26:43Speaker 1: that an economy, and then it is nice to have
- 26:45Speaker 1: somebody wait on you constantly.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean you're getting served from the moment you
- 26:49Speaker 3: walk in. They're like hot towel. Yeah, but bubbles.
- 26:52Speaker 1: What I do think is worth it for a little
- 26:55Speaker 1: extra money is Premium Economy on Delta International. So I
- 26:58Speaker 1: recently got upgraded to Premium Economy after a big Delta
- 27:01Speaker 1: snafu for my trip in December, and that was really
- 27:05Speaker 1: great because you're getting a lot of the service that
- 27:06Speaker 1: you're getting in first class and your seat's a lot
- 27:09Speaker 1: more comfortable and the food is better.
- 27:11Speaker 3: But how much more is that?
- 27:12Speaker 1: I think for you to fly premium economy round trip,
- 27:15Speaker 1: it's like two or three thousand dollars, okay, compared to
- 27:19Speaker 1: compared to Delta one, which is like ten thousand.
- 27:21Speaker 3: Oh yeah, okay, you know what I mean. Yeah, in
- 27:23Speaker 3: that case, it's worth I.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Think you still get the same meals as first class,
- 27:26Speaker 1: and you get the first class snacks, but you have.
- 27:29Speaker 3: A snack and do love a treat? I love.
- 27:31Speaker 2: I love that they sat down there like here's your bubbles,
- 27:33Speaker 2: and then more bubbles, and then more bubbles and a
- 27:35Speaker 2: bowl of nuts and cheese. I was like, this is nice.
- 27:37Speaker 2: I didn't utilize like I did lie flat. The thing
- 27:40Speaker 2: that sucks is you want to fall asleep, But then
- 27:42Speaker 2: are you wasting money to fall asleep?
- 27:44Speaker 1: I know, but I mean maybe you're paying for a
- 27:46Speaker 1: good sleep so you have like a full day to explore,
- 27:49Speaker 1: and maybe that's worth it for you.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Maybe it is if you have that use it. I
- 27:53Speaker 2: hope one day that it's not as big of a
- 27:55Speaker 2: hit as it is right now. I think the things
- 27:58Speaker 2: that are not worth it when it comes to like
- 28:02Speaker 2: experiences in Tampa Bay that I've seen people do that.
- 28:06Speaker 2: When I look at it, I'm like, I don't know.
- 28:08Speaker 2: I think when I see people, ooh, this is gonna
- 28:11Speaker 2: be you know what, it's fine. The river cruises, the boats,
- 28:17Speaker 2: the dinner.
- 28:17Speaker 1: I think that's worth it. I think that would be
- 28:19Speaker 1: worth it.
- 28:20Speaker 3: See I went on one, and I don't need the
- 28:21Speaker 3: name brands.
- 28:22Speaker 2: But Viking River Cruises now that okay, I'm a cruise fan.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Speaking of if you saw that Shipwrecked documentary on Netflix.
- 28:29Speaker 3: No crazy, We'll get to that in a second.
- 28:31Speaker 2: But there are boats here and they kind of have
- 28:33Speaker 2: it like Chicago style where it's like flatboats that just
- 28:36Speaker 2: travel around the river and you get a little dinner.
- 28:39Speaker 2: Fuckers are expensive, Oh dang. I mean it's like one
- 28:42Speaker 2: hundred dollars per person and the meal.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Oh you're talking about like just having one of those
- 28:48Speaker 1: cruises where you have like a dinner.
- 28:49Speaker 3: Yeah, like a dinner cruise here in Tampa.
- 28:51Speaker 1: I think it depends on where you're having the river cruise,
- 28:55Speaker 1: like Paris where like you see the twinkly Eiffel Tower.
- 28:58Speaker 2: Okay, yes, and that case I think for me, I
- 29:01Speaker 2: went on I've been on pretty much all of them
- 29:03Speaker 2: here in Tampa, and I just wasn't impressed with the route, yeah,
- 29:07Speaker 2: and the meal.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Yeah, those things.
- 29:10Speaker 2: I was like, one, I guess when it comes down
- 29:12Speaker 2: to it, if you live in the city, you see
- 29:14Speaker 2: the city all the time. Yeah, and they take you like,
- 29:16Speaker 2: I don't know, by like the shipyard and you look
- 29:18Speaker 2: by like the piles of dirt for a second.
- 29:21Speaker 1: There's just not enough to see in Tampa for me
- 29:23Speaker 1: to justify a river cruise, correct.
- 29:24Speaker 2: I think that's the one that I'm like, dang it,
- 29:26Speaker 2: if I could, all right, I won't really be spending
- 29:28Speaker 2: much money on that. Again, I'd rather use that if
- 29:31Speaker 2: you go to another city, like I think, well, I
- 29:33Speaker 2: can't reveal yet, but those cities to take the river cruise,
- 29:37Speaker 2: if you're going to see things that you haven't seen before,
- 29:39Speaker 2: then it will be as long as the food's good.
- 29:41Speaker 2: I just wasn't impressed with the food so far that
- 29:43Speaker 2: I've seen in Tampa on those ships that you could take.
- 29:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:45Speaker 1: I mean the food in Tampa in general it's not great.
- 29:47Speaker 1: So then you had the river cruise, and you had
- 29:50Speaker 1: the river cruise, and then it's like another flooria related
- 29:54Speaker 1: thing that I don't think is worth your money? Is
- 29:56Speaker 1: Disney Deluxe resorts?
- 29:58Speaker 2: Oh, Like, when you're staying on the Disney properties is
- 30:01Speaker 2: very expensive.
- 30:02Speaker 1: And I've stayed in all of the resorts, like from
- 30:05Speaker 1: moderate to deluxe to the budget. And while it is
- 30:08Speaker 1: such a special treat, like for example, on Burt's Big Adventure,
- 30:11Speaker 1: we treat everybody to the deluxe resorts, and like that
- 30:14Speaker 1: is such a fun event because it's free for everybody.
- 30:17Speaker 1: But it's like the same price you could stay at
- 30:19Speaker 1: a Disney Deluxe resort, you could go down the street
- 30:21Speaker 1: to the Four Seasons.
- 30:23Speaker 3: Oh snap, you know what I mean.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Yes, it's like a thousand dollars a night, which for families,
- 30:28Speaker 1: I know, like if you love Disney and this is
- 30:30Speaker 1: your thing, that's worth it for you. But if you're
- 30:33Speaker 1: going expecting like a premium hotel experience like the Four
- 30:37Speaker 1: Seasons for twelve hundred dollars a night, not worth it.
- 30:40Speaker 2: That's actually I'm really curious on those really high up
- 30:43Speaker 2: resorts because I haven't been able to experience some of
- 30:46Speaker 2: the big ones. I do have some cool things I'll
- 30:48Speaker 2: be able to talk about next week once I'm able
- 30:50Speaker 2: to actually give these gifts. But I like the things
- 30:55Speaker 2: that truly make it worth it, Like the bed has
- 30:57Speaker 2: to be like hugging me.
- 30:58Speaker 1: That's what I mean, is like you're getting this same
- 31:00Speaker 1: bed at the deluxe resort as you are at the
- 31:02Speaker 1: moderatel You get.
- 31:02Speaker 2: The monorail, like that's cool part of the Disney one.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Like if that's you get off your property and go
- 31:07Speaker 2: right to it.
- 31:08Speaker 1: So again, like if you're a big Disney goal and
- 31:10Speaker 1: you want to be there immediately right off the monorail,
- 31:12Speaker 1: that may be worth it for you. But if you're
- 31:14Speaker 1: going specifically for the hotel and just for like a
- 31:17Speaker 1: casual Disney experience.
- 31:18Speaker 3: If you're not a big, big, if you're not like
- 31:20Speaker 3: a big Disney person.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Because again, if that's if that's your magnum opus, that's
- 31:24Speaker 1: your magnum opis. But if it's not, then it's not
- 31:27Speaker 1: like the deluxe resort is somehow insanely better than I
- 31:31Speaker 1: don't know, the moderates.
- 31:32Speaker 2: What would be the resort that you would stay at though,
- 31:34Speaker 2: Let's say you're going to Orlando for Disney and you're like,
- 31:36Speaker 2: all right, I got to pick one of the resorts.
- 31:37Speaker 1: If I had to pick one and I'm paying for it, yeah.
- 31:40Speaker 3: What would be worth the actual state, because I know
- 31:42Speaker 3: there's a worth it.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Hang on me, pull up a Disney list Disney World Hotels.
- 31:46Speaker 1: They do have an opinion on this.
- 31:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I want to know because we've I've
- 31:50Speaker 2: done the whole monorail like track where you like stop
- 31:53Speaker 2: at every resort, yes, to check it out. You get
- 31:55Speaker 2: a bev at each resort and you get to see
- 31:57Speaker 2: what it would actually be like.
- 31:58Speaker 1: So I've stayed at the beach. It was either the
- 32:01Speaker 1: beach or the yacht club I've stayed at. Oh. You
- 32:03Speaker 1: know which one is worth the money and you can
- 32:04Speaker 1: usually get it for around two or three hundred dollars
- 32:06Speaker 1: a night. Is the Swan Dolphin Oh. Because you're at
- 32:10Speaker 1: the same location as all the premium resorts. You get
- 32:14Speaker 1: all the Disney benefits, but you're getting it at a
- 32:17Speaker 1: moderate price. Okay, and I think you get Marry Out
- 32:19Speaker 1: Bomboy points as well.
- 32:20Speaker 3: That's actually helps it all.
- 32:21Speaker 1: It's a really good deal. And my favorite place to say,
- 32:24Speaker 1: I've decided is the Boardwalk area because I like Epcot
- 32:28Speaker 1: because I'm an adult. Yes, yeah, but if you're if
- 32:30Speaker 1: you if you have kids and you want to be
- 32:31Speaker 1: close to the Magic Kingdom, that might not be your thing.
- 32:34Speaker 3: I like the one that is the Polynesian.
- 32:37Speaker 1: So I've stayed at the Polly before and the Polly's great,
- 32:40Speaker 1: but it's like twelve hundred dollars a height. Yeah, so
- 32:42Speaker 1: if you can afford that, that's like totally fine.
- 32:45Speaker 2: Yeah. I think the thing that's cool with it is
- 32:46Speaker 2: one it looks different, like you're not getting that at
- 32:48Speaker 2: a normal resort.
- 32:49Speaker 3: Yeah. And have you been to that place that's the
- 32:51Speaker 3: place like Trader Sam's.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Yes, I've been to Trader SAMs. Trader Sam's was a
- 32:54Speaker 1: lot of fun. That's so fun, so fun.
- 32:56Speaker 2: But I mean that's if you have the money to spend.
- 32:59Speaker 2: I think that one time and I got one drink
- 33:01Speaker 2: because it's a whole experience.
- 33:03Speaker 1: And it is a great experience if you've got the
- 33:05Speaker 1: money for it.
- 33:05Speaker 2: You know what I will say is worth it in
- 33:07Speaker 2: the same vein as Disney, because I've finally got to
- 33:09Speaker 2: experience what was a Disney cruise?
- 33:11Speaker 3: Oh pricey as hell.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Oh I'm so jealous you got to do that because
- 33:14Speaker 1: you did that in January.
- 33:15Speaker 3: Yeah, like literally right before you get it.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Was like literally because I think if I had signed
- 33:18Speaker 1: my contract like a month earlier, I could have gone
- 33:20Speaker 1: on it, and I was like, fuck, I should I
- 33:22Speaker 1: should have signed.
- 33:23Speaker 2: That junk was sweet, And like for parents, this sounds
- 33:26Speaker 2: like a plug.
- 33:27Speaker 3: I mean maybe it is.
- 33:28Speaker 2: They're definitely not paying me for this, but like the
- 33:30Speaker 2: bars are all themed like Disney. How much is a
- 33:33Speaker 2: Disney cruise? I'm gonna say multiple thousands, easy, Like.
- 33:38Speaker 1: If me and you were gonna go on a trip
- 33:39Speaker 1: right now.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Okay, I'm gonna say three thousand, right right off the bat,
- 33:43Speaker 2: if you and I go, because.
- 33:44Speaker 1: I think we're an off season because it's it's hurricane season.
- 33:47Speaker 2: And also like for parents, like you could literally drop
- 33:50Speaker 2: your kids off, Oh my god cruises.
- 33:53Speaker 1: I will never understand people who hate young cruises because
- 33:55Speaker 1: if you're a family, it is like the best bang
- 33:57Speaker 1: for your buck because you get to go to all
- 33:59Speaker 1: these interesting places with beaches and resorts, and it's all
- 34:04Speaker 1: inclusive so you can budget it. Well, it's really not
- 34:07Speaker 1: like crazy expensive, Like it's probably like what like five
- 34:10Speaker 1: hundred bucks a person all inclusive, so like, while that's
- 34:14Speaker 1: not cheap, you at least know what you're paying up front,
- 34:16Speaker 1: rather than like going to Disney and all of a
- 34:18Speaker 1: sudden you've spent like seven thousand dollars.
- 34:20Speaker 2: H all of a sudden, it adds up so quick
- 34:22Speaker 2: and everything's taken care of for you literally walk off.
- 34:24Speaker 1: So if we were gonna go in February, okay, and
- 34:26Speaker 1: we were gonna leave.
- 34:27Speaker 3: We're gonna be a little cold, so I'll bring a jacket.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Well, but think about you're going to the Caribbean, Okay, so.
- 34:31Speaker 3: I'll be kind of warm. It's like light sweater.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Let's see we're departing from Port Canaarrow. Okay, you're planning
- 34:39Speaker 1: our honeymoon to the.
- 34:41Speaker 3: Disney cruise or one year anniversary.
- 34:43Speaker 1: One year university. Oh, we should do that. That'd be
- 34:45Speaker 1: kind of fun. Okay, Fuck, this is expensive.
- 34:49Speaker 3: See what is it?
- 34:50Speaker 1: Oh my god? Wait? Wait is this for two guests?
- 34:53Speaker 1: Ors this per person? I'm trying to figure it out.
- 34:55Speaker 3: This is why so many parents right now listening are.
- 34:57Speaker 2: Like, see, oh my gosh, this is why we haven't
- 34:59Speaker 2: gone on one yet.
- 35:00Speaker 1: This is a treat you guys, how are you affording families?
- 35:03Speaker 1: I don't understand how you guys are affording this.
- 35:05Speaker 3: This is what scares me for the next oho.
- 35:06Speaker 1: Really, let's say let's look at the five days. Let's
- 35:10Speaker 1: say five the five.
- 35:12Speaker 2: I want to get the most out of our experience.
- 35:13Speaker 2: Of course, I personally.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Like a week long cruise, but this is really.
- 35:16Speaker 3: Fucking We got to get back to work eventually.
- 35:18Speaker 1: So let me see. So starting from okay, all right,
- 35:23Speaker 1: so this is for two people. It's fifteen hundred dollars.
- 35:29Speaker 3: Ye person, Yeah, see.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Which to be fair, okay, you know what for context,
- 35:37Speaker 1: a night at the Vanoy is like seven to fifty.
- 35:40Speaker 1: So you're talking about it either a weekend stay at
- 35:42Speaker 1: the Vanoi everything else you have to pay for, or
- 35:45Speaker 1: an all inclusive five nights stay on the Disney cruise
- 35:49Speaker 1: for fifteen hundred. Now it's not as crazy.
- 35:52Speaker 2: It's not as crazy when you look at it as like,
- 35:53Speaker 2: how much am I paying for the full length of
- 35:55Speaker 2: the value?
- 35:56Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 35:57Speaker 3: I think what you also.
- 35:58Speaker 2: Have to account into is like, okay, when you get
- 36:00Speaker 2: on there and you're like, all right, well, every night
- 36:01Speaker 2: I want to get a drink at dinner. Yeah, well, okay,
- 36:04Speaker 2: let's add an extra couple hundred there, because then you're
- 36:07Speaker 2: gonna want to check out all the theme bars and
- 36:09Speaker 2: then when they drop you off at the resort, well,
- 36:11Speaker 2: luckily most of them have food included.
- 36:14Speaker 3: Yeah, but what if you want to get a bath too.
- 36:15Speaker 1: I know because I do be like having a bed above.
- 36:18Speaker 2: On the beach, and I will say the resort's fantastic,
- 36:21Speaker 2: like the beaches that you land on incredible.
- 36:23Speaker 1: So the most expensive one in February, which I'm assuming
- 36:26Speaker 1: is off season, is the seven night Eastern Caribbean Cruise
- 36:31Speaker 1: and for per guest, it is twenty eight hundred dollars.
- 36:36Speaker 3: Oh my god, my god.
- 36:39Speaker 1: If that's your if that's your one vacation, damn, that's
- 36:42Speaker 1: really freaking expensive.
- 36:43Speaker 3: Is that at least a balcony, you get in a
- 36:45Speaker 3: bum you're.
- 36:46Speaker 1: The insight, You're like literally in like a you're at
- 36:48Speaker 1: the bottom floor, you're on the second floor. Damn it.
- 36:52Speaker 1: I mean, I get it. Disney. It's a premium experience.
- 36:55Speaker 3: It is, Oh my god.
- 36:56Speaker 2: And also like the dinners are all like themed where
- 37:00Speaker 2: it's like they put on shows the restaurants like I
- 37:03Speaker 2: can't wait. I can only imagine because my friends have
- 37:05Speaker 2: explained it to me, like when you bring your kids
- 37:07Speaker 2: into that environment to see their face light up, Yeah,
- 37:11Speaker 2: that has to be the cooliest experience because when I
- 37:13Speaker 2: get excited.
- 37:14Speaker 1: What's so crazy is then you bring your kids and
- 37:16Speaker 1: it's like this is the happiest place on earth. And
- 37:17Speaker 1: then they're like their shirt is too scratchy, somebody feels nauseous,
- 37:20Speaker 1: and you're like, just enjoy it, please.
- 37:22Speaker 3: We spent so much to get you here, and now
- 37:24Speaker 3: you're not having a good time.
- 37:24Speaker 1: I feel like kids don't truly enjoy things until like
- 37:26Speaker 1: the age of seven.
- 37:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that's a valid thing.
- 37:28Speaker 1: I mean seven eight years old, that's a good age.
- 37:30Speaker 2: Second grade, Yeah, like you could actually remember things, like
- 37:33Speaker 2: when you think back. I think that's when I first
- 37:35Speaker 2: had my first memories sucond grade.
- 37:37Speaker 3: Yeah, well, like I can't really remember.
- 37:39Speaker 2: I could remember very little of Like I have a
- 37:42Speaker 2: kindergarten teacher, Miss Oreo. She was nice, and I remember
- 37:45Speaker 2: I had a friend named Charlie that ate glue. Like
- 37:47Speaker 2: those are little things I can remember, Yeah, like actual memories.
- 37:50Speaker 2: I remember being in second grade. I remember taking scissors
- 37:53Speaker 2: and like cutting my arm hair. I remember having like
- 37:55Speaker 2: a little electronic device that everyone thought was so cool
- 37:58Speaker 2: that was like just an elevated calculator. And then I
- 38:00Speaker 2: remember moving schools. Oh yeah, like that's where you're like
- 38:03Speaker 2: you actually remember. I remember taking like cruises in like
- 38:07Speaker 2: middle school, yeah, where it actually is worth it to
- 38:09Speaker 2: spend that money for your kids.
- 38:10Speaker 1: I have never regretted. There's only one cruise I regretted
- 38:13Speaker 1: going on, well, actually maybe two oh two. Carnival was rowdy.
- 38:17Speaker 1: It was like it was like too much for my
- 38:19Speaker 1: parents at that specific age. I think if we did
- 38:21Speaker 1: it now, they'd have a lot of fun. And then
- 38:23Speaker 1: we did a Royal Caribbean cruise for my graduation, which
- 38:27Speaker 1: I was kind of I'm kind of pissed in hindsight
- 38:29Speaker 1: that we went on this cruise because we could only
- 38:30Speaker 1: do like a three or four day trip because of
- 38:32Speaker 1: my brother, and we could have gone on like a
- 38:35Speaker 1: seven day trip somewhere like my brother. Yeah, and the
- 38:38Speaker 1: cruise was kind of shitty, if I'm honest with you.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Oh, man, that sucks because that's I wonder what one
- 38:44Speaker 2: it was because I'm such a huge Royal fan.
- 38:47Speaker 1: It was like Independence of the Seas, like an older ship,
- 38:49Speaker 1: older but like not crazy old, like I think I'd
- 38:52Speaker 1: gone on the Independence of the Seas before, and it
- 38:54Speaker 1: was like the new ship. When we went, I remember
- 38:56Speaker 1: thinking this is like so nice, and then you know,
- 38:57Speaker 1: ten years later you go on it and you're like, oh,
- 38:59Speaker 1: this is Ooh, it's a little rundown in here.
- 39:02Speaker 3: It's a little older than it was.
- 39:03Speaker 1: And also, like the vibe of a three day cruise
- 39:05Speaker 1: versus a seven day cruise is so different, Like when
- 39:07Speaker 1: you go on a seventy cruise, it's kind of like
- 39:09Speaker 1: you're all in this together, you know what I mean.
- 39:11Speaker 1: You're like, oh, this is our cruise family for seven days.
- 39:13Speaker 3: Yeah, you meet people, you actually get to know them.
- 39:15Speaker 1: Yeah, three days feels a little too fleeting.
- 39:18Speaker 2: The longest I've ever been on. I think we went
- 39:20Speaker 2: on like a fourteen day or and like this was crazy.
- 39:24Speaker 2: My grandma brought us like Australia New Zealand. Oh my god,
- 39:27Speaker 2: that was incredible. But it was almost too long. You
- 39:31Speaker 2: get to the end of that, you're like day twelve,
- 39:32Speaker 2: you're like, fuck, god, two weeks is too long. Yeah,
- 39:35Speaker 2: we're like, let's get off this thing. Like we're tired
- 39:37Speaker 2: of each other at this point. We don't even want
- 39:39Speaker 2: to get off. We just we got laundry we got
- 39:41Speaker 2: to do. You don't want to pay the extra fee
- 39:42Speaker 2: to get your laundry done. Yeah, it's a little too long.
- 39:45Speaker 2: Like seven days, that's like the sweet spot. And when
- 39:48Speaker 2: you get that time off, which.
- 39:50Speaker 3: That's hard to do.
- 39:51Speaker 2: I don't know, like we've gotten I still get nervous
- 39:54Speaker 2: asking for that time off because.
- 39:55Speaker 3: You don't I do. I just took two days the
- 39:58Speaker 3: other day.
- 39:58Speaker 2: I was like, god dn, Now I'm looking at things
- 40:00Speaker 2: in February and January that I'm.
- 40:02Speaker 1: Like, what are you going in February? January?
- 40:05Speaker 3: I think what I want to do is February.
- 40:08Speaker 2: I think in January, I think I'm gonna go to Mexico.
- 40:11Speaker 2: And then I think in February I want to do
- 40:13Speaker 2: like a ski trip to go see friends in Colorado.
- 40:16Speaker 1: See you're always on vacation. I took I took like
- 40:20Speaker 1: two days off, and I'm like, I need to take more.
- 40:22Speaker 3: PTO.
- 40:22Speaker 1: We gotta know what out.
- 40:23Speaker 3: Let's go ahead and test something out.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Abby.
- 40:25Speaker 3: Why do you go into Italy?
- 40:26Speaker 1: I'm taking five days off for Italy?
- 40:28Speaker 3: Five days in Italy?
- 40:29Speaker 1: How many days have you taken off? You took off
- 40:32Speaker 1: five days in March or was it April? I can't remember,
- 40:35Speaker 1: and then you took off five days in May.
- 40:37Speaker 2: Do in March you've been on two day cass I did.
- 40:40Speaker 2: I went on a cruise in March with my dad.
- 40:41Speaker 1: You went on a cruise, and you went on the
- 40:43Speaker 1: zoom A cruise, and then what was.
- 40:44Speaker 3: Your I went on a resort or I went on that,
- 40:46Speaker 3: and then.
- 40:47Speaker 1: You went on the Ayahuasca retreat and then you took
- 40:50Speaker 1: two days two days off to go to Denver. So
- 40:52Speaker 1: now we're up to twelve days.
- 40:54Speaker 2: Okay, wait a second, Yeah, I guess twelve. Yeah, that
- 40:58Speaker 2: sounds about it.
- 40:58Speaker 1: And I've taken off what like four one for my
- 41:01Speaker 1: brother's wedding, uh huh, and then Tucket and then like
- 41:05Speaker 1: three days off Nantucket.
- 41:06Speaker 2: You know what, do you act like I'm against you
- 41:08Speaker 2: taking vacany.
- 41:09Speaker 1: I'm no, I'm not saying I'm you're I'm saying you
- 41:12Speaker 1: act like you're afraid of taking up PTO. I'm like, dude,
- 41:14Speaker 1: you've taken off five times the amount of PTO that
- 41:16Speaker 1: I've taken off.
- 41:17Speaker 3: Honestly, Hell yeah, you know what?
- 41:19Speaker 2: Okay, good because that was about to be another week
- 41:21Speaker 2: if I went to Alaska. That's it.
- 41:23Speaker 1: That's the other thing. And you were going to go
- 41:25Speaker 1: to Alaska.
- 41:26Speaker 3: Yeah, see, I decided that.
- 41:28Speaker 1: And then yesterday I'm like, you know, I think I
- 41:29Speaker 1: want to spend like a week in London. You're like,
- 41:31Speaker 1: what are you gonna do in London. I'm like, well,
- 41:33Speaker 1: I guess I'll quit this job if I can't go.
- 41:35Speaker 3: I didn't mean that's literally what you said.
- 41:37Speaker 1: You're like, so what are you gonna do? What are
- 41:38Speaker 1: you gonna do while you're in London. I'm like, I
- 41:39Speaker 1: don't fucking know. What did you do while you were
- 41:40Speaker 1: gonna go be in Alaska?
- 41:43Speaker 2: No? Because you said like a girl's work trip, so
- 41:45Speaker 2: it's like everyone goes and you could work.
- 41:47Speaker 3: And I was like, are you going to do the
- 41:48Speaker 3: show from London?
- 41:49Speaker 2: Oh?
- 41:50Speaker 1: Yeah. I had this idea that I'm like, oh, we
- 41:52Speaker 1: could do like a work a living work trip in London,
- 41:54Speaker 1: because I think cities like New York in London are
- 41:57Speaker 1: fun to visit, but it'd be more fun to live
- 41:59Speaker 1: in Oh yeah, And I think it'd be more fun
- 42:01Speaker 1: to experience it as somebody who like is living and
- 42:04Speaker 1: working in that city.
- 42:05Speaker 3: Yeah. Like, it's like you get up and do what
- 42:06Speaker 3: everyone else is doing. You work, and then you go
- 42:08Speaker 3: on that and.
- 42:08Speaker 2: Then you get yeah and watch sports in the middle
- 42:12Speaker 2: of the day. And then that's a weird place because
- 42:14Speaker 2: like Tuesday at noon they'll go to the pub and
- 42:16Speaker 2: just they'll throw a couple back and then go right.
- 42:19Speaker 3: Back to work.
- 42:19Speaker 1: That's the most fun thing about it.
- 42:20Speaker 3: They're just very free.
- 42:21Speaker 1: You just bop around.
- 42:22Speaker 3: Maybe we just need more freedom here in the States.
- 42:25Speaker 1: We do.
- 42:26Speaker 2: I think we talk about being so free. Who's going
- 42:28Speaker 2: to the pub at twelve throwing back coolic?
- 42:32Speaker 1: See it's fun and cute when you're in Europe, but
- 42:34Speaker 1: when you're here in the States, it's like, why are
- 42:35Speaker 1: you at you yardbirds pint? What's wrong with you?
- 42:39Speaker 2: That's like the joke in the airport, It's like, are
- 42:41Speaker 2: you going to get a seven am drink?
- 42:43Speaker 3: Yeah, we're at the airport.
- 42:45Speaker 1: We're on vacation. Mofos.
- 42:46Speaker 3: Time doesn't exist well with that. I do have.
- 42:50Speaker 2: I guess my other trip is the only other trip
- 42:51Speaker 2: I have so far is October for my birthday.
- 42:54Speaker 3: So there you go.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Not oh I'm telling I'm like, how many days has
- 42:58Speaker 1: he taken off?
- 42:59Speaker 3: Okay, I'll take Well, here's the problem. And I said
- 43:01Speaker 3: this to a friend the other day.
- 43:02Speaker 2: I was like, we technically have quote unquote unlimited PTO.
- 43:06Speaker 2: I almost feel like that's a scam because it makes you, yeah,
- 43:11Speaker 2: not want to abuse that unlimited PTO. So you're like,
- 43:16Speaker 2: I wish they would just say you have three weeks vacation.
- 43:20Speaker 1: Now, I honestly, I do prefer the unlimited because at
- 43:22Speaker 1: least it's giving me the illusion that I have all
- 43:24Speaker 1: the freedom in the world, and I almost prefer the illusion.
- 43:27Speaker 1: I know.
- 43:27Speaker 2: Well, you know, I think we say that, our boss
- 43:29Speaker 2: will probably hear this and be like, literally, when have
- 43:31Speaker 2: I ever said no, I'm.
- 43:32Speaker 1: Gonna edit it out?
- 43:32Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 43:35Speaker 1: No, I know, but yeah, I'm thinking about where I'm
- 43:37Speaker 1: gonna go because I'm like, oh, he's taking twenty four
- 43:39Speaker 1: days off, twenty four because I'll need twenty four days
- 43:42Speaker 1: off if you've got twenty four days.
- 43:43Speaker 3: Off as you should, as you should. And then in
- 43:45Speaker 3: the winter we're just everyone's off.
- 43:47Speaker 1: Everyone's off.
- 43:47Speaker 2: Everyone take off, everybody. That's your reminder, take your PTO
- 43:50Speaker 2: putting your days off.
- 43:51Speaker 3: You deserve it. You work too hard. All right, we'll
- 43:54Speaker 3: be back. I guess next week. Today I'm gonna go
- 43:57Speaker 3: check out a Hyaena.
- 43:58Speaker 1: All right, bye, bad tacting a seat
