Governor Laura Kelly has appointed K. Christopher Jayaram as the new Chief Justice of the Kansas Supreme Court, succeeding retiring Chief Justice Marla Luckert. Jayaram, a seasoned trial attorney and district judge since 2021, was one of three finalists selected by the Nominating Commission.
