- 0:05Speaker 1: Bob Guiny and Trista Sutter here almost famous the o
- 0:08Speaker 1: G s looking adorable as always, trist I love your
- 0:12Speaker 1: little stock and cap. Is this what they do these days?
- 0:15Speaker 1: They do this. That's what the kids they do. That's
- 0:18Speaker 1: what the kids the Heart Radio. Oh that's true, like
- 0:22Speaker 1: a side down well no, not an upside down heart heart. Yeah,
- 0:26Speaker 1: they like frame their face. So yeah, that's me for
- 0:28Speaker 1: the people who can't see us, but are just saying that.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Everybody wasn't so pale. I love where are you right now?
- 0:36Speaker 1: This is our basement, so we uh, I love it.
- 0:40Speaker 1: I love the wine seller. It's one of those notch
- 0:44Speaker 1: outs in the basement that Brad appreciate this being aficionado
- 0:48Speaker 1: of Yes, I mean, I know he does some home
- 0:51Speaker 1: renovation stuff too, I know that. But yeah, very excited
- 0:54Speaker 1: about our guests day, Brad Womack. It happened to really
- 0:56Speaker 1: genuinely like this guy, Um, one of a few, are
- 1:00Speaker 1: one of the only actually the only uh two time bachelor,
- 1:05Speaker 1: the only guy to go through that process more than Yeah,
- 1:09Speaker 1: that's not true. Well Nick was never the bachelor. It
- 1:13Speaker 1: was only the bachelor once he was just Nick Vile,
- 1:17Speaker 1: was on The Bachelorette. Then he came as a like
- 1:20Speaker 1: a late add to another season The Bachelotte, Then he
- 1:22Speaker 1: was on Bachelor. Pat the dude was on every show
- 1:24Speaker 1: that they have, but he was only a Bachelor one time. Yeah,
- 1:29Speaker 1: so Brad is the only one that's ever actually been
- 1:31Speaker 1: through the gauntlet as the main man more than once.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Pretty crazy, crazy, excited to talk to him, Excited to
- 1:40Speaker 1: show him what the other side of being the Bachelor
- 1:43Speaker 1: is because I have a sick wife today and my
- 1:45Speaker 1: baby is walking around here. Yeah, so we're gonna have
- 1:51Speaker 1: We're gonna have a guest appearance by Blake at any
- 1:54Speaker 1: given moment here. But it looks like Brad's coming in now,
- 1:57Speaker 1: you guys. I'm just gonna tell you. I saw a
- 2:00Speaker 1: picture of Brad and Harrison on Instagram this past week.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Brad's got the beard, the beard of madness. He looks amazing.
- 2:08Speaker 1: The beard of madness. Why do you call it a
- 2:12Speaker 1: beard of madness? Hey, guys, there he is. Look at
- 2:16Speaker 1: this guy. I have to say thank you so much
- 2:20Speaker 1: for even asking me to be on this, especially from
- 2:22Speaker 1: you too. You guys were always my favorite. I'm not
- 2:25Speaker 1: just saying that exactly. Talk about it later. Time for
- 2:31Speaker 1: hard right now. It's so good to see you about
- 2:35Speaker 1: it really is. To man, we were just talking about
- 2:38Speaker 1: before you joined as how genuinely you've always been one
- 2:41Speaker 1: of my very favorite people that have ever been on
- 2:43Speaker 1: this show, and then to go through the gauntlet and
- 2:46Speaker 1: do it twice makes you I mean, you are in
- 2:49Speaker 1: your own category. And my friend, I know that no
- 2:51Speaker 1: one's ever done. We've had people that been on like
- 2:53Speaker 1: you know, obviously Batchel Atte then Bachelor, but never anyone
- 2:57Speaker 1: who's been the lead twice. So it's just mind blowing
- 3:01Speaker 1: that you were able to get through it. You know what,
- 3:03Speaker 1: I don't know if that makes me a glutton for
- 3:05Speaker 1: punishment or um, you know, I truly do believe in
- 3:08Speaker 1: the process. I'm not just saying that, you know what
- 3:10Speaker 1: I mean, And so, um, we've all heard I'm here
- 3:14Speaker 1: for the right reasons a million times, right, We've all
- 3:17Speaker 1: heard that, So I wanted you to say that. But
- 3:19Speaker 1: I truly am a romantic and and um, I think
- 3:23Speaker 1: you can meet somebody no matter what the circumstances, and
- 3:25Speaker 1: what better way to do it, right, So think people
- 3:29Speaker 1: and had a great time so failed miserably twice. But
- 3:34Speaker 1: still I've done that twice with marriage and it didn't
- 3:39Speaker 1: stop me from going for a third time work out. Hey, Brad,
- 3:48Speaker 1: so obviously you were you know, maybe unsuccessful as the
- 3:52Speaker 1: word on The Bachelor. But are you dating now? Like,
- 3:55Speaker 1: have you have you met someone? And are you dating
- 3:58Speaker 1: anyone currently? I am and and things are good, you know.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Um uh, you know we're taking it slow, of course,
- 4:06Speaker 1: you know, and you kind of have to. It's funny that, uh,
- 4:09Speaker 1: you know, in spite of what I did in the past,
- 4:13Speaker 1: I'm really a private guy. And and I don't know
- 4:16Speaker 1: why I'm even bringing that up. It's just she and
- 4:18Speaker 1: I would take it really slow and I wouldn't have
- 4:21Speaker 1: it any other way. And um, so yeah, things are
- 4:24Speaker 1: really good in that department. Um. I don't know if
- 4:28Speaker 1: there's a marriage in the future, you know, I have
- 4:31Speaker 1: no idea, but h but I'm not opposed to it
- 4:34Speaker 1: and looking forward to see him with the future holds,
- 4:37Speaker 1: you know. So I just answer your question. I'm happy.
- 4:41Speaker 1: That's great, thank you. And I think that's something about
- 4:46Speaker 1: you man, you know. Uh, I heard you saying something.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Trust me. I don't want to come and do anything
- 4:50Speaker 1: but that you had seen that Chris and I eat dinner. Well,
- 4:54Speaker 1: both of you came up and over dinner of course,
- 4:56Speaker 1: and um, I want to say to both of you guys,
- 4:59Speaker 1: are all is really good to me? Bob, I remember
- 5:01Speaker 1: when I first met you, and then Trista, you and
- 5:04Speaker 1: Ryan both, Um, we're really good to me. And by
- 5:06Speaker 1: the way, I hope he's doing well. Um, I've heard
- 5:09Speaker 1: some of somebody's having some health issues. But the guy
- 5:12Speaker 1: of course will persevere. Um, he's just such a good guy.
- 5:15Speaker 1: But anyway, thank you both, so um. Yeah, and seeing Chris,
- 5:19Speaker 1: of course, I love the guy to death. So it's
- 5:21Speaker 1: just us from the past. I was in Vegas and
- 5:25Speaker 1: and uh not too long ago, and and your name
- 5:28Speaker 1: came up brat well of course just as did as well.
- 5:30Speaker 1: But Brad yours came up to as someone who you know,
- 5:33Speaker 1: people can think what they want about. Oh he went
- 5:37Speaker 1: on this season and he walked away with no one.
- 5:38Speaker 1: But that takes more courage, honestly, because people don't understand
- 5:44Speaker 1: the pressure that's on you. You know, oh you know
- 5:46Speaker 1: you you need to propose, you need to propose. And
- 5:48Speaker 1: I mean I got so much grief just for giving
- 5:50Speaker 1: a promise ring, right. I mean not everyone's always gonna
- 5:53Speaker 1: be like Trista and Ryan, which are the gold standard obviously,
- 5:56Speaker 1: And I mean that sincerely. You know, I do trist
- 5:58Speaker 1: it and but it's like one of those things where
- 6:01Speaker 1: you were you were courageous enough to be like, you
- 6:03Speaker 1: know what, man, let the chips fall where they may.
- 6:06Speaker 1: I didn't find my person, I'm walking away. I mean
- 6:09Speaker 1: that is like, I mean, I'm telling you from an
- 6:12Speaker 1: intimate conversation that I had with Harrison when I was
- 6:15Speaker 1: on the show, and that that came up as an option, right,
- 6:18Speaker 1: And I remember saying, I was like, I don't know
- 6:21Speaker 1: how I feel, you know whatever, and he was like,
- 6:22Speaker 1: well you can. You gotta at least date one of them, right,
- 6:24Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, yeah, I'll do that. So then when
- 6:26Speaker 1: I go to I think, I think I'm doing this
- 6:28Speaker 1: great thing by dating him, and then you get so
- 6:29Speaker 1: much grief for that. It's like, oh my god, you
- 6:32Speaker 1: know you you were just like courageous and that takes
- 6:34Speaker 1: a lot of a lot of gumption, especially back then
- 6:38Speaker 1: where the show was because now a little weird, you know,
- 6:40Speaker 1: twists and turns are common right back then at all,
- 6:43Speaker 1: you know, I really appreciate you saying that, and and
- 6:46Speaker 1: one thing I'll say, and especially speaking with someone that
- 6:50Speaker 1: shares perspective, right, because both of you guys know um
- 6:54Speaker 1: the drill, so to speak. But man, I give you
- 6:57Speaker 1: my word. The only thing I was thinking is about
- 7:00Speaker 1: out Jenny and Diana. They were both and I've really, sincere,
- 7:03Speaker 1: sincerely mean this, such good women that I just didn't
- 7:08Speaker 1: want to lead them on. And um, I didn't know
- 7:10Speaker 1: what was going to happen in the future. But I
- 7:12Speaker 1: think all three of us knew that there wasn't a
- 7:15Speaker 1: future for either one of us. I'm going in that direction.
- 7:17Speaker 1: And I didn't want to sell out, of course, and
- 7:20Speaker 1: I didn't want to lead anyone on. And but you're right, man,
- 7:23Speaker 1: I got beat up. I got beat to a pope
- 7:25Speaker 1: and you got beat up, right, You were villainized, like villainized,
- 7:30Speaker 1: And I was like, why is this happening? He is
- 7:33Speaker 1: such a good guy that I feel the same way
- 7:37Speaker 1: that Bob does. I feel like it is so courageous
- 7:41Speaker 1: to to kind of And were you the first one? Yeah,
- 7:45Speaker 1: you were the first one. Maybe has anyone done it
- 7:48Speaker 1: since Bob? Has anyone not chosen? I don't want to.
- 7:52Speaker 1: I think everyone's at least try to date or something
- 7:54Speaker 1: like that. I don't think. I think Brad was the
- 7:57Speaker 1: only one that was just like, you know what, I
- 7:59Speaker 1: don't I gotta go. Yeah, I mean major, major, and
- 8:03Speaker 1: that is honesty. Isn't that what people want in a relationship.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Don't you want honesty? I don't want to be with someone.
- 8:10Speaker 1: I wouldn't want to be with someone like if I
- 8:12Speaker 1: had been on your show and I was Indiana or
- 8:14Speaker 1: Jenny's shoes, if if I was them, I would not
- 8:18Speaker 1: have wanted someone to just pick me just because I
- 8:21Speaker 1: would want someone to pick me because they wanted me
- 8:24Speaker 1: and they saw a future. So I would much rather
- 8:28Speaker 1: have you have broken my heart in that moment, like
- 8:31Speaker 1: kind of like how Alex did to me on the
- 8:33Speaker 1: first season. I was like, if you don't want me,
- 8:36Speaker 1: then I'm sad, Like I'm sad that this is over,
- 8:39Speaker 1: but I'm okay, like I think I said, I'm sad,
- 8:42Speaker 1: but I'll be fine, you know, because I knew that
- 8:45Speaker 1: I didn't want to be with someone who didn't want me.
- 8:48Speaker 1: So anyway, yeah, okay, thank you very much. Especially like
- 8:52Speaker 1: I said, coming from both of you guys, it means
- 8:54Speaker 1: a lot, and and you know, um, still to this day,
- 8:57Speaker 1: I think so highly of both be on End and Jenny.
- 9:00Speaker 1: And trust me, we all know, and I've made this
- 9:03Speaker 1: joke before, but I did them both the favor. I mean,
- 9:05Speaker 1: they're doing much better than they don't want. And so
- 9:11Speaker 1: you know, concepts always twitty twitty, and so Jenny and Diana,
- 9:15Speaker 1: you're very welcome. I don't know what of them, you know, uh,
- 9:23Speaker 1: you know when I was taping the second time, I
- 9:27Speaker 1: was on um, I have and you know, when when
- 9:31Speaker 1: adults move on and people get married, I think there's
- 9:34Speaker 1: a respect factor there. Yeah. Um, I know they're both
- 9:37Speaker 1: very happy. And I gotta tell you, even with Emily,
- 9:39Speaker 1: who I think the absolute world of the second and
- 9:42Speaker 1: I mean this the second I heard that she was
- 9:45Speaker 1: happily engaged or married, but we stopped communication. I mean
- 9:50Speaker 1: there's I sent you one message saying, hey, I'm genuinely
- 9:54Speaker 1: happy for you. I really am. And and then you
- 9:57Speaker 1: you kind of respect the other significant other he that
- 10:00Speaker 1: um she's with and and you don't want to cross boundaries,
- 10:03Speaker 1: right and so um yeah, so I don't. I don't.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I don't get into that territory at all. I'm just
- 10:08Speaker 1: happy for how things are played out, of course, I
- 10:11Speaker 1: think especially when it's been especially when it's when we
- 10:14Speaker 1: have not especially, but in particularly when it's been a
- 10:17Speaker 1: public relationship, right like you always have to, you know.
- 10:20Speaker 1: I was that way with the Stellar. When I found
- 10:22Speaker 1: out a Stellar engaged, I texted her, I said, hey,
- 10:24Speaker 1: I'm so happy for you, congratulations, And then I was
- 10:27Speaker 1: just sort of like, you know, and we've we've kept
- 10:29Speaker 1: in contact over the years because she is she and
- 10:31Speaker 1: my mom are like Facebook friends, you know, and so
- 10:34Speaker 1: it's always been one of those types of things. But
- 10:35Speaker 1: I was, I was so happy for her. But looks
- 10:38Speaker 1: like Brad, I remember saying at my season, I remember
- 10:39Speaker 1: saying at a road ceremony, I'm like, believe me, ladies,
- 10:42Speaker 1: none of you want this is no prize, this is
- 10:45Speaker 1: I love it. I love it. I love it. But
- 10:48Speaker 1: but you are of course you are. You know, we
- 10:52Speaker 1: were all made for somebody, right and and and you
- 10:55Speaker 1: know and interested to your point too. I do want
- 10:58Speaker 1: to say one thing that, whether people believe this or not,
- 11:02Speaker 1: I was as heartbroken as both Chinny and Diana too
- 11:04Speaker 1: walking away. I really was. I was accused of being
- 11:08Speaker 1: almost emotionless and down right cold, and and I can
- 11:12Speaker 1: promise you know, um, I have nothing to gain by
- 11:14Speaker 1: saying this now, but um that's just not who I am.
- 11:17Speaker 1: And um but anyway, Bob, yeah, I share that sense
- 11:19Speaker 1: of humor that hey, look man, I guarantee every anniversary
- 11:23Speaker 1: those two ladies are hugging their man even tighter and like,
- 11:27Speaker 1: look who I could have been with no kidding, no, no.
- 11:33Speaker 1: I think I've often said it that anything I've ever
- 11:36Speaker 1: been at about you, in particularly Brad, when whenever, you know,
- 11:40Speaker 1: whenever you would come up and people be like, you know,
- 11:42Speaker 1: what did you think about that? And I would always say,
- 11:44Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm like, think what you want about the
- 11:45Speaker 1: guy I'm like, which which I will be honest. Usually
- 11:48Speaker 1: it was always very favorable, very nice about YouTube. I
- 11:52Speaker 1: know how that feels, though, because I mean, when you
- 11:54Speaker 1: feel like you're the villain, you're just like, oh my god.
- 11:56Speaker 1: But I I would always say them, I'm like, meet
- 11:58Speaker 1: him for five minutes, and if you can walk away
- 12:00Speaker 1: after five minutes and think the guy, that guy has
- 12:02Speaker 1: no heart, no emotion, and like, trust me quite thank
- 12:08Speaker 1: you very much, and again, thank you. I really appreciate it,
- 12:11Speaker 1: specially coming from someone that can share the perspective. It's
- 12:15Speaker 1: a it's an ordeal. That show is an ordeal. And
- 12:18Speaker 1: you're kind of wrong through the ringer, right, and I
- 12:21Speaker 1: see violent trists. I mean, you are the bachelor and
- 12:25Speaker 1: the bachelor at I mean, and I say again, I
- 12:27Speaker 1: say that favorably, right, and so but you get it.
- 12:30Speaker 1: You know you're so um not used and abused, but
- 12:35Speaker 1: you you go through some emotional turmoil, right, and I'm
- 12:38Speaker 1: kind of ready for a breather. So anyway, thank you, Bob,
- 12:41Speaker 1: because I do care what people think of me, and um,
- 12:44Speaker 1: you know anyway, and and things are things are better now,
- 12:48Speaker 1: thank god, they better over twelve years at twelve years
- 12:55Speaker 1: for you when you were the first time was two
- 12:58Speaker 1: thousand seven, second time was two dolls and ten. So
- 13:00Speaker 1: we're going on a long time. Man. That makes me
- 13:03Speaker 1: geriatric in this world. I have something to say about geriatrics. Okay,
- 13:19Speaker 1: So we always joke the we're the dinosaurs, you know. Whatever.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Your birthday I just saw because we have you know,
- 13:25Speaker 1: we have producers who do a little like work beforehand,
- 13:28Speaker 1: and they got us some some research. Your birthday is
- 13:33Speaker 1: November tenth, seventy two. Mine is October seventy two. So
- 13:40Speaker 1: I turned fifty like two weeks before you. You guys
- 13:43Speaker 1: are let me tell you. Let me tell you something
- 13:47Speaker 1: because you and I say this as respect wave its
- 13:50Speaker 1: can be. You look amazing right back at you, Thank
- 13:56Speaker 1: you and still here, still sorry. See see what happens
- 14:04Speaker 1: when a pretty girl comes to you know. But Chris,
- 14:08Speaker 1: I'll tell you this, and I hope you're the same way.
- 14:11Speaker 1: I feel better at fifty than I ever have in
- 14:13Speaker 1: my life. Hey, and I truly think you know, you know,
- 14:16Speaker 1: there's a level of confidence you gain, there's a level
- 14:19Speaker 1: of security and um, you know, you just realized life
- 14:22Speaker 1: is really good, you know, And obviously you and Ryan
- 14:26Speaker 1: are so happy and and so anyway, happy belated birthday.
- 14:29Speaker 1: You look amazing. Thank you? And if I catch it,
- 14:33Speaker 1: did you do anything fun for your fiftieth or do
- 14:35Speaker 1: you have any plans this year to do anything fun?
- 14:38Speaker 1: I do, and I'll tell you this, I'm very happy
- 14:41Speaker 1: to say. Um. So I couldn't travel on my birthday
- 14:44Speaker 1: there were some things going on here in Austin. But
- 14:47Speaker 1: December seven, I'm heading out to Maui and I'm gonna
- 14:50Speaker 1: spend some time out there just to kind of decompress,
- 14:52Speaker 1: you know. I Um, I'm a real big believer and
- 14:55Speaker 1: taking some time to yourself, believe it or not. And
- 14:59Speaker 1: and you're gonna wonder, I'm actually going on this trip
- 15:01Speaker 1: solo just to kind of hike and buy Yeah, I know,
- 15:05Speaker 1: I know, I don't trust me. Know there's not troublesome corridge.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Holy cow. I don't think I could do that because
- 15:13Speaker 1: I feel like I'm a whip like I feel like
- 15:15Speaker 1: I would be scared all the time. I can kids,
- 15:18Speaker 1: I could do it next week, I can. You know what?
- 15:21Speaker 1: I would love it if you joined me, buddy, and
- 15:25Speaker 1: so fun amazing. I don't think I wanted anyone to
- 15:29Speaker 1: have to push me in the wheelchair around the island,
- 15:34Speaker 1: you know. But but yeah, no, So that's the big
- 15:38Speaker 1: kind of culmination of a really good year, fifty years
- 15:40Speaker 1: on the planet and kind of just you know, decompressed
- 15:44Speaker 1: a little bit. How about you? How do you celebrate?
- 15:46Speaker 1: Did you do something big or so? Ryan? Um? I
- 15:49Speaker 1: was begging Ryan, and my daughter especially knew that I
- 15:53Speaker 1: wanted a surprise party. I wanted one forever, and I
- 15:57Speaker 1: feel like it's just so intimidating to plan a surprise party,
- 16:01Speaker 1: especially because you know, I have a lot of friends
- 16:03Speaker 1: from here and there and everywhere, and for Ryan to
- 16:06Speaker 1: like not to actually invite all the people that that
- 16:10Speaker 1: should be invited, I think was probably intimidating for him.
- 16:13Speaker 1: So he ended up doing it. He pulled it off,
- 16:17Speaker 1: but he had He had a surprise party for me
- 16:20Speaker 1: with so many friends. Actually, somebody that you guys both know,
- 16:24Speaker 1: I think, um Hailey Platt and I don't know. Her
- 16:27Speaker 1: maiden name was Curtendon. She was on Bob, you know her.
- 16:33Speaker 1: I love her. What what season was she on? I
- 16:36Speaker 1: can't remember Crittenden. Sorry, yes, yes, that's poscitely right. But
- 16:43Speaker 1: her married name is Platt now anyway, so it doesn't matter.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Um have been a producer by the time Brad came along,
- 16:51Speaker 1: because didn't she work on the shop producer? I thought
- 16:54Speaker 1: you might be right, Um anyway, So she flew in town.
- 16:58Speaker 1: My parents came in. I hadn't seen my dad and
- 17:00Speaker 1: my stepmom in a year. Um. They all surprised me
- 17:04Speaker 1: and it was it was awesome. So I'm gonna teach
- 17:09Speaker 1: you got lost of mail, Brad. But it's okay, Yeah, yeah,
- 17:13Speaker 1: you see what I'm saying. Bob. Ryan had the list
- 17:17Speaker 1: and I feel bad, like he he has all these
- 17:20Speaker 1: people that he has to remember, and he's like, I
- 17:22Speaker 1: just don't know how I would never about something like that,
- 17:26Speaker 1: believe me. Wait, well, Bob, it sounds like we have
- 17:30Speaker 1: to learn from Ryan still. I mean, the guy is good.
- 17:33Speaker 1: He is really good. I still vividly remember your season,
- 17:36Speaker 1: trist and the guy is just good. And and so
- 17:40Speaker 1: you tell that man, job well done and he's doing right.
- 17:43Speaker 1: You guys to be so happy so long. I love it.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I love I love it. I love seeing it too.
- 17:47Speaker 1: It really, it really is something. It's enviable. You know,
- 17:50Speaker 1: it's one of those things you see somebody getting it right,
- 17:52Speaker 1: especially as we know Brad, you know, coming through the
- 17:56Speaker 1: show from the relationship standpoint, you gotta do it different
- 18:00Speaker 1: to survive. And Tristan Ryan were the first ones to
- 18:03Speaker 1: do it different. Everybody else sort of including myself, went
- 18:06Speaker 1: down this other path, which was, oh, yeah, I guess
- 18:08Speaker 1: we just do everything that we're supposed to do. And
- 18:10Speaker 1: you know that wasn't in Ryan's DNA, and it was okay,
- 18:14Speaker 1: and Tristan was okay with it, you know, just I
- 18:16Speaker 1: was like, I got this, you know, it was okay.
- 18:18Speaker 1: You know, well, it's actually much more authentic obviously, and
- 18:22Speaker 1: and you know, um and that pays off and so um.
- 18:26Speaker 1: But Bob, you're happiest could be now too, huh. I
- 18:28Speaker 1: hear that life is really good on your end. You know,
- 18:32Speaker 1: it's definitely fun, thank you. I mean, wait, till I
- 18:35Speaker 1: was forty eight to have two kids, that's pretty smart.
- 18:38Speaker 1: So I you know, I'm fifty one now, guys, and
- 18:41Speaker 1: you know, yes, yeah, ninety one is my dad. Buddy.
- 18:47Speaker 1: I want to drink the water you're drinking. So I'm
- 18:50Speaker 1: telling this is all unfairly. I love this. I love
- 18:53Speaker 1: it and and so keep going, buddy, keep going, George,
- 18:57Speaker 1: I got you know, I got two uh two little dudes,
- 19:00Speaker 1: three and a half and one, and it's pretty awesome.
- 19:03Speaker 1: You know. I will say I didn't much like you, Brad.
- 19:05Speaker 1: I mean, you know, after the show and everything, I
- 19:08Speaker 1: got married, divorce, I was kind of like, I really like,
- 19:10Speaker 1: you know, I'm single. I'm okay, it's good. And then
- 19:13Speaker 1: met somebody and thought, wow, maybe I do want a family.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Maybe I do war of those things and the chips
- 19:18Speaker 1: just sort of fell in place, and you know, it's interesting.
- 19:21Speaker 1: I will say this at at our age having really
- 19:25Speaker 1: young children there. I mean I always make the joke
- 19:28Speaker 1: that a tea ball games are like your grandpa is
- 19:30Speaker 1: so SWEETE comes to every game, and I got a walker. Yeah,
- 19:36Speaker 1: but I mean it's gonna be but uh, it's a
- 19:40Speaker 1: different perspective though, you know, I see all the young
- 19:42Speaker 1: parents running around and and and I just sort of
- 19:44Speaker 1: like hanging back, and you know, it's just a different mindset.
- 19:48Speaker 1: You know, my kid falls down, I'm like, oops, he'll
- 19:49Speaker 1: be all right. So you just have more wisdom to
- 19:54Speaker 1: give to them, you know. And and and so dude,
- 19:57Speaker 1: you know, I've always I've always believed there's no set
- 20:00Speaker 1: schedule in life, right, and so you're doing that, You're
- 20:04Speaker 1: doing everything that, uh to make you happy, and it
- 20:07Speaker 1: shows on your face. I mean it just shown. And
- 20:10Speaker 1: so you said drinking the water, there's no water in
- 20:12Speaker 1: this body whatsoever. It's actually it's wine. I see the
- 20:16Speaker 1: wine behind you actually exactly like that is a sweet wine.
- 20:22Speaker 1: It's amazing, you know, I saw. I mean, let's say
- 20:25Speaker 1: I moved to New York, I lived in l A.
- 20:27Speaker 1: I lived in Seattle. It's amazing what buying and selling
- 20:30Speaker 1: houses in those market get you back home in Michigan. Well,
- 20:35Speaker 1: I'm happy before I tell you it's funny because I'm
- 20:38Speaker 1: literally sitting in one of our bars right now and
- 20:41Speaker 1: it's well. Not the only reason I'm saying that is
- 20:43Speaker 1: you have a better wine selection than I do. I mean,
- 20:48Speaker 1: as all this is over, I'm gonna detect you, like, hey, man,
- 20:51Speaker 1: what do I need to order? You know, I'm like,
- 20:54Speaker 1: I'm like, I have a feeling that Brad's gonna like
- 20:56Speaker 1: this because I know you You've done some home renovation stuff.
- 21:00Speaker 1: I mean, you've done it jack of all trades, I
- 21:02Speaker 1: know that. But you know I visited one of your
- 21:04Speaker 1: bars at one time. I was down there in Austin
- 21:05Speaker 1: and it was just so cool. Man, Well, thank you.
- 21:08Speaker 1: At least tell us about him. Tell us about him.
- 21:10Speaker 1: So what are what bars do you own? Or restaurants? Um? So,
- 21:14Speaker 1: we have the one main one is called the Dogwood.
- 21:16Speaker 1: We uh, we currently have four of those. We have
- 21:20Speaker 1: awesome justin Austin. No. Two in Austin, one in Houston,
- 21:24Speaker 1: one in Nashville, which I'm really excited. Yeah. In fact,
- 21:29Speaker 1: I actually moved to Nashville in two thousand nineteen whenever
- 21:33Speaker 1: we were building the bar, and um, I gotta tell you,
- 21:36Speaker 1: it's a close contender for me. Austin will always be home.
- 21:39Speaker 1: But but Nashville I love absolutely. You know something, Um,
- 21:44Speaker 1: there's a huge and I mean huge bachelor presence in Nashville. Um,
- 21:50Speaker 1: A lot of old participants are there. Um, A lot
- 21:53Speaker 1: of them running the same circle. So there was some
- 21:56Speaker 1: familiarity there, right, Um, and it's just such an up
- 21:59Speaker 1: and coming city. Uh So anyway, who I don't know,
- 22:06Speaker 1: but you know, um, Sean Booth has a booth camp there,
- 22:11Speaker 1: so he has a facility there. Um yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 22:16Speaker 1: I mean he's right there. Um, A couple of uh
- 22:19Speaker 1: old participants and now, of course their names are escaping me,
- 22:22Speaker 1: but you know, you just see them in different circles.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Wait a minute, you look familiar. Okay, now I know
- 22:32Speaker 1: and so but but yes, I spent a lot of
- 22:34Speaker 1: time there and and uh and I think I'm we
- 22:37Speaker 1: have a couple of venues in Houston anyway. Yeah, just
- 22:40Speaker 1: like everybody, I'm working hard and having fun doing it
- 22:43Speaker 1: and still working with my twin brother Chad and one
- 22:46Speaker 1: other guy, Jason Carrier, and we're having the time of
- 22:48Speaker 1: our lives, you know, lives good. The Chad have the
- 22:52Speaker 1: beer too, and no, his wife doesn't want him looking
- 22:56Speaker 1: homeless and so so yeah no no no yeah so
- 23:00Speaker 1: uh yeah no no no, no, his wife is uh.
- 23:05Speaker 1: I love her to death. And even my little niece,
- 23:09Speaker 1: his daughter, Both of them give me so much grief
- 23:12Speaker 1: for they're like, what are you doing? Are you coming
- 23:15Speaker 1: to ask us for spare change? Are you here to
- 23:17Speaker 1: eat dinner? I don't know what you're doing. You know
- 23:21Speaker 1: I can do something like that. Man. Yeah, well yeah,
- 23:27Speaker 1: so no no no, no beard on Chad so uh
- 23:31Speaker 1: he's much more clean cut. But anyway, so I have
- 23:35Speaker 1: to ask, since Chad has a wife and kids, does
- 23:37Speaker 1: that make does that make you want to have kids? Like?
- 23:41Speaker 1: How are you how do you feel about having a
- 23:44Speaker 1: family some days? That still something that you would like to, um,
- 23:49Speaker 1: you know, include in your life? Or are you good
- 23:52Speaker 1: just having nieces? You know? Okay, that's a great question.
- 23:56Speaker 1: And and I have a little one little nephew as well. Um,
- 23:59Speaker 1: but anyway, that's a question. You know, Um, I am
- 24:02Speaker 1: very open to it, no doubt about it. And and
- 24:05Speaker 1: you know, again, like I said earlier, even though I'm fifty,
- 24:08Speaker 1: I feel I truely feel like I'm twenty five. I
- 24:10Speaker 1: really do and and so, um, I really don't feel
- 24:15Speaker 1: that top that pressure of time that tied the clock ticking. Um,
- 24:18Speaker 1: long story short, Yeah, absolutely I'm open for it. You know. Um,
- 24:23Speaker 1: you know, I think life would be pretty empty and
- 24:27Speaker 1: another ten fifteen years if I'm in some cabinet Colorado
- 24:33Speaker 1: all alone, but even a longer beard, you know, like
- 24:37Speaker 1: Ted Kazinski writing letters and becoming the chi like so
- 24:44Speaker 1: but no, you know, I tend to joke around the
- 24:46Speaker 1: light and I apologize, but no, just to answer the question,
- 24:48Speaker 1: you know, Um, you know, I take something like that
- 24:52Speaker 1: very seriously. And and as far as fatherhood and and um, yes, yeah,
- 24:58Speaker 1: absolutely I'm open for it. And there have been discussions.
- 25:02Speaker 1: I'm not gonna lie in positive discussions about it, and
- 25:05Speaker 1: so we'll see what happens. And uh, god knows, I
- 25:08Speaker 1: can't hide it if I do have a child. I mean,
- 25:10Speaker 1: but news is out there everywhere, right, even though I'm
- 25:13Speaker 1: a dinosaur. It's like you guys know everything everything, Yeah,
- 25:20Speaker 1: anybody anymore? So I know, you know, Bob, It's funny
- 25:23Speaker 1: because I think I'm literally the only person that's never
- 25:26Speaker 1: been on social media, right, I've never been on so
- 25:30Speaker 1: never trist that promise never even in my space, and
- 25:32Speaker 1: yes I'm dating myself, but you've never never been on anything.
- 25:35Speaker 1: It's so wow, even for so wait, do you have
- 25:39Speaker 1: people who do it for the for the bars? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 25:42Speaker 1: we dove. But but I give you what I mean.
- 25:44Speaker 1: I never even peruse Instagram or anything. It's just I'm
- 25:48Speaker 1: blissfully oblivious to right, that's what that means that people
- 25:52Speaker 1: are really criticized with me. I never know, so good.
- 25:57Speaker 1: But the reason bringing that up is, uh, I guess
- 26:01Speaker 1: Chris had posted something after we ate dinner or the
- 26:04Speaker 1: other night, because I received so many texts like how
- 26:07Speaker 1: are these people know? Oh yeah people, just a few,
- 26:15Speaker 1: a couple of people, but anyway, yeah, so but it
- 26:18Speaker 1: would say it was so good to see that guy,
- 26:20Speaker 1: of course. But yeah, back to your question, Um, who
- 26:23Speaker 1: knows what the future holds? And um, possibly that'll be
- 26:26Speaker 1: a loving family and and I wouldn't have it any
- 26:29Speaker 1: other way. If that's If that happens, that amazing, Man's amazing.
- 26:43Speaker 1: I will tell you it's uh, it's exactly what you
- 26:45Speaker 1: wanted to be at our age. I can't say that, like,
- 26:48Speaker 1: you know, did you get to a point and I
- 26:51Speaker 1: was I was scared. I was like, oh my god,
- 26:53Speaker 1: I'm starting so late. You know, it's awesome. I mean
- 26:56Speaker 1: I really don't even know what the hell I want
- 26:57Speaker 1: to be doing with myself without him. I mean I
- 27:00Speaker 1: really don't like I think about what are you doing
- 27:02Speaker 1: right now? You know? Absolutely? YEA life is all about
- 27:07Speaker 1: the kiddos. So, um, what was I going to say?
- 27:10Speaker 1: I had a question, and see, this is what happens
- 27:13Speaker 1: when you have children, your brain does. Will you remind
- 27:19Speaker 1: me how many children you guys have? We have a
- 27:22Speaker 1: boy and a girl. Um, fifteen year old Max and
- 27:25Speaker 1: thirteen year old Blake's late Max is actually like it
- 27:29Speaker 1: has a driver's permit is five eight. Like, yeah, it's
- 27:33Speaker 1: a little crazy. My daughter is outgrowing my shoes. She's
- 27:36Speaker 1: taller than me. It's it's nuts. But but I tell
- 27:42Speaker 1: you a funny story. So Trista and Ryan come to
- 27:45Speaker 1: Tahoe and they bring Max. Okay, I mean it caught
- 27:49Speaker 1: me so off guard. Tristan, I'm sure you don't have
- 27:52Speaker 1: to stay. And she goes, oh, Max, honey, hi, I
- 27:54Speaker 1: want you to meet my ex boyfriend Bob. And I'm like,
- 28:01Speaker 1: so we are going down that road. Yeah, we're doing
- 28:03Speaker 1: this we're really doing. Let's cracking off and Max it's
- 28:06Speaker 1: just like, hey, you could care less. And I was like, well,
- 28:12Speaker 1: well she's not lying, you know. Honestly, it's funny and
- 28:18Speaker 1: it caught me off guard. Trust the honest guy. I
- 28:21Speaker 1: don't even know if I told you. I laughed so
- 28:23Speaker 1: hard about that. Oh my god, no doubt. They're amazing kids,
- 28:26Speaker 1: you know, I mean, always know they're teenagers. Yeah, okay,
- 28:36Speaker 1: So I know what the question was. So if things
- 28:39Speaker 1: don't work out with your current girlfriend, and I'm not
- 28:42Speaker 1: saying that, I'm not you know, saying that they shouldn't
- 28:45Speaker 1: or whatever. I want you to be happy, but would
- 28:48Speaker 1: you ever consider being the Bachelor for the third time?
- 28:51Speaker 1: Oh no, no, the first let me go. Yeah, no, no,
- 28:58Speaker 1: no no. And I appreciate the question first of all,
- 29:00Speaker 1: that would never ask me. I mean, I don't expiration
- 29:05Speaker 1: date is maybe ten years ago, fifteen years ago. But
- 29:08Speaker 1: another thing, you know, Um, it's so funny and and
- 29:12Speaker 1: quite ironic. But I'm really a private guy, you know,
- 29:15Speaker 1: And and um, I'm beginning to get some anonymity back
- 29:19Speaker 1: and I love it. I love it, you know, and
- 29:22Speaker 1: and so um, and not that I have anything the
- 29:24Speaker 1: hottest just um, I really like kind of flying under
- 29:27Speaker 1: the radar hints to no social media and stuff. And
- 29:30Speaker 1: so when you open up that that that I guess
- 29:34Speaker 1: book or whatever, another chapter, man, you're exposed and and
- 29:38Speaker 1: you know, let's face it, after another ten years, I
- 29:41Speaker 1: have even more skeletons. I think. I think that, uh,
- 29:46Speaker 1: the court of public opinion would not only crucify me.
- 29:49Speaker 1: I mean, they would just trample on my grave. I think,
- 29:53Speaker 1: you know what, It's true, like people are kind of
- 29:56Speaker 1: cruel now, like they feel like they can say whatever
- 30:00Speaker 1: want and there's no consequences because of social media. So
- 30:04Speaker 1: I think it would be really hard, you know, thinking
- 30:07Speaker 1: about it. Would I do it again? If it was
- 30:10Speaker 1: now and other people had done it, I would have
- 30:13Speaker 1: to say yes, because I did find my happy ending.
- 30:15Speaker 1: But in regard like it would it would Actually people
- 30:20Speaker 1: have asked if I would have my kids go on it,
- 30:23Speaker 1: and I can't be a hypocrite and say, well, no
- 30:27Speaker 1: because times have changed. But so I would say you can,
- 30:33Speaker 1: because that's how I met your dad. But in that
- 30:37Speaker 1: same breath, you have to be really careful because people
- 30:41Speaker 1: are not nice. I mean I couldn't handle it. I
- 30:45Speaker 1: can say honestly, there's no way because curiosity kills a
- 30:50Speaker 1: cat for me, you know, Like I would be like,
- 30:51Speaker 1: oh oh yeah, someone on this thing, Hi, Yeah, thank
- 30:56Speaker 1: you for watching, and then I'd be like, you know,
- 30:57Speaker 1: you pee, So I'll be like, oh my god, yeah, yeah,
- 31:00Speaker 1: I couldn't handle it. Well. That also, though, means, um,
- 31:03Speaker 1: you're such a nice guy, you know. Um, you know,
- 31:06Speaker 1: people can say all the time they don't care what
- 31:08Speaker 1: other people think, but something tells me you do. And
- 31:11Speaker 1: I'm saying that, you know, yeah, and interested you as well,
- 31:15Speaker 1: and so um, you know, yeah, I found a way,
- 31:19Speaker 1: like I said, to kind of blissfully hide my head
- 31:21Speaker 1: in the sand, and you can't do that these days.
- 31:25Speaker 1: And um, so I think it's a prerequisite to have
- 31:27Speaker 1: quote unquote followers if you go on that show. I
- 31:30Speaker 1: don't even know. I really don't know that. I think
- 31:32Speaker 1: I think that now for sure for sure. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 31:37Speaker 1: So I might have one follower, my twin brother. And
- 31:40Speaker 1: that's it. Yeah, there's two, there's there's three. Now I'm
- 31:48Speaker 1: becoming an influence. Who is that? Uh? Yeah, this is
- 31:57Speaker 1: Blake a Blake. You are a hands from young man. Hi,
- 32:02Speaker 1: I'll tell you what those uh those little pjs look comfy.
- 32:06Speaker 1: How you doing, Blake, Yeah, he's the whole family sick today,
- 32:10Speaker 1: so they're they're all laying around the house and here
- 32:13Speaker 1: we are still working. You know. That's all I gotta
- 32:16Speaker 1: tell you, man, And I mean this genuinely. I'd love
- 32:18Speaker 1: to meet your family and uh you know in triest
- 32:22Speaker 1: to your kids too. Again, have such great parents respective respectively,
- 32:28Speaker 1: and so well, I mean it, we need to come
- 32:31Speaker 1: to Austin, we do. We need to just plan a
- 32:33Speaker 1: trip or Nashville now that you have a bar there.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Like I was just thinking I'm going to Dallas, I
- 32:39Speaker 1: think with Blakeslee for a dance competition, but you're not
- 32:42Speaker 1: anywhere close. So yeah, well my home is always yours,
- 32:46Speaker 1: I mean, you know, and yeah, I'd love to host
- 32:49Speaker 1: you guys and and really start some some social media fodder.
- 32:53Speaker 1: If we all were jumping around, maybe they are going
- 32:55Speaker 1: to be like you two together and you know, did
- 33:00Speaker 1: me and people are like what is going on? You know,
- 33:04Speaker 1: let's just really rock this reunion. We need to have
- 33:08Speaker 1: an O G reunion of like from a certain day,
- 33:12Speaker 1: like invite all the leads and their families, like, let's
- 33:16Speaker 1: do it. It's so fun, Firestone and um, Aaron Bergie,
- 33:23Speaker 1: who else and Andrew in the past? I mean, and
- 33:29Speaker 1: we gotta do it, you guys, I need to be
- 33:30Speaker 1: so much fun. Let me tell you something you guys
- 33:33Speaker 1: mentioned Andrew. I have a cool story about him before
- 33:36Speaker 1: I had any connection to The Bachelor at all, any whatsoever.
- 33:40Speaker 1: H he had been on the on the show, excuse me,
- 33:43Speaker 1: and he came into one of our barns and Austin,
- 33:46Speaker 1: and I want to say this for his credit, to
- 33:49Speaker 1: his credit, the guy, um, he wasn't getting bothered too much,
- 33:53Speaker 1: but but enough. And the guy to us, the staff
- 33:58Speaker 1: and everyone around him was his hands down, the most respectful,
- 34:04Speaker 1: approachable guy and and just friendly all the way around.
- 34:08Speaker 1: And and you know in a bar setting it's hard
- 34:11Speaker 1: to show respect, you know, but the guy just uh,
- 34:15Speaker 1: I guess what I'm trying to say, just carried himself
- 34:17Speaker 1: so well and and uh I remember that still to
- 34:20Speaker 1: this day. You know it just uh, he's just he
- 34:24Speaker 1: carries himself really well. I'd like to meet you formally,
- 34:27Speaker 1: meet him, But I mean he's always been He's always
- 34:31Speaker 1: just been that guy. People always say that, you know,
- 34:35Speaker 1: what is what is he like? You know, he's the
- 34:38Speaker 1: best salt. Yeah, Chris said the same exact thing, and
- 34:41Speaker 1: Chris thinks that's so highly of him. And you know,
- 34:44Speaker 1: I always get the real scoop from Chris and I
- 34:46Speaker 1: love it, you know, and I will air dirty laundry.
- 34:50Speaker 1: But but I know if I was part of the
- 34:53Speaker 1: dirty laundry because I have texted him I don't know,
- 34:56Speaker 1: two or three times and he has not responded to me.
- 34:58Speaker 1: So I'm like, thing wrong. No, Look, I don't think
- 35:05Speaker 1: you can do any wrong. I'm not kidding a kid. Yeah,
- 35:09Speaker 1: I love you, but well I'm telling you I doubt it.
- 35:13Speaker 1: But no, not at all. He speaks very highly of Okay, Okay,
- 35:18Speaker 1: well good. Maybe I just got lost in translation or
- 35:21Speaker 1: I don't know technology. You'd never know. I'll re touch
- 35:24Speaker 1: him today and be like, okay, so Brad told me
- 35:27Speaker 1: that I'm not on your list, Well you're not. I
- 35:34Speaker 1: can I can promise you. Okay, that makes me feel better. Okay, good,
