- 0:00Speaker 1: Fly from Midtown Manhattan. Here comes the Mark Simone Show
- 0:05Speaker 1: on seven ten wr.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Well, hey, we'll get to Iran, we'll get to Georgia,
- 0:14Speaker 2: we'll get to President Trump. Of course, we'll get to
- 0:16Speaker 2: Crazy Mom, Donnie Legioneers, and a whole lot more coming up. Now.
- 0:21Speaker 2: It's been well, a weird summer. I mean, here we
- 0:27Speaker 2: were waiting for summer. It's been a nice we love summer,
- 0:30Speaker 2: but heat waves, tornadoes, floods, it's been kind of strange.
- 0:35Speaker 2: But right now, today through Sunday, you're going to have
- 0:39Speaker 2: absolutely perfect summer. Four days of perfect weather, eighty degrees
- 0:45Speaker 2: and sunny. It's already underway. So enjoy this part of summer.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Now.
- 0:49Speaker 2: I hate to bring this up again. Yesterday I told
- 0:52Speaker 2: you I was in a couple of stores. There's all
- 0:55Speaker 2: the full clothing of I find out today the Giants
- 1:00Speaker 2: go to training camp football. The Giants heading the training
- 1:05Speaker 2: camp today. So enjoy the summer while you can. Now,
- 1:10Speaker 2: last night was night twelve of hitting Iran, very very
- 1:15Speaker 2: very hard. Price of oil is spiking again. Let me
- 1:20Speaker 2: just check. It was up to about one hundred dollars
- 1:22Speaker 2: a barrel, which is you're getting into Joe Biden territory there. Oh,
- 1:28Speaker 2: it backed off a little. Okay, it's dropping, it's down
- 1:30Speaker 2: to ninety one, but that's still up from what it
- 1:33Speaker 2: was yesterday. And the reason it's spiking up is the Iranians,
- 1:37Speaker 2: the hoodies, whoever they're paying, is now hitting ships in
- 1:41Speaker 2: the Red Sea Straight of hor Moose first, now the
- 1:45Speaker 2: Red Sea. So that's driven the price of oiler. But
- 1:47Speaker 2: this will all be gotten under control, and the President
- 1:49Speaker 2: letting Iran know every time they fire a ship in
- 1:53Speaker 2: the Straight of hor Moose will take out infrastructure, We'll
- 1:56Speaker 2: take out a bridge, we'll take out a power plant,
- 1:58Speaker 2: that sort of stuff. And again night twelve of very
- 2:02Speaker 2: heavy bombing. They've got about a seven week plan laid
- 2:05Speaker 2: out of what they want to hit. There's a lot
- 2:07Speaker 2: of stuff to get. The main goal of all of
- 2:10Speaker 2: this was to make sure Iran doesn't have any nuclear anything,
- 2:15Speaker 2: and whatever's remaining seems to be at Pickaxe Mountain, buried
- 2:21Speaker 2: under there in Pickaxe Mountain, that seems to be the
- 2:23Speaker 2: current place where nuclear stuff is being hidden being worked one.
- 2:28Speaker 2: So the President said, we're going to hit Pickaxe Mountain.
- 2:32Speaker 2: It's the next big target.
- 2:33Speaker 4: Do you believe that Iran has moved nuclear centrifuges into
- 2:37Speaker 4: Pickaxe Mountain. And when you say we're not done yet,
- 2:40Speaker 4: what is allowed to finish?
- 2:41Speaker 5: Well, I think that they may have we don't have
- 2:45Speaker 5: it on record. We follow the material. That's where the
- 2:47Speaker 5: action is, and we'll be hitting that area very probably
- 2:52Speaker 5: pretty soon, and there's not a thing they can do
- 2:55Speaker 5: about it. Normally, I wouldn't say that. If I thought
- 2:58Speaker 5: they could do something about it, I would never say that.
- 3:00Speaker 5: But we'll be hitting that area pretty soon and very heavily.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Yeah. Now when he says there's nothing going to do
- 3:08Speaker 2: about it, we have taken away all their military defense.
- 3:11Speaker 2: They've got no air Force, no navy. Most of their
- 3:14Speaker 2: military defense is completely gone. They still got a missile
- 3:16Speaker 2: or two they can fire off. But what's the delay?
- 3:20Speaker 2: Why not hit Pickaxe Mountain tonight? Well, it's not as
- 3:25Speaker 2: easy as it sounds.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Now.
- 3:26Speaker 2: The problem with this Pickaxe Mountain nuclear stuff. We got
- 3:30Speaker 2: pretty good intelligence in that area, but it's three hundred
- 3:33Speaker 2: and twenty eight feet underground. The nuclear activity three one
- 3:37Speaker 2: hundred and twenty eight feet underground. That's how deep it is. Now,
- 3:42Speaker 2: how do we get to that? Well, we got to
- 3:44Speaker 2: use those thirty thousand pounds. Bunker buster bombs just blow
- 3:49Speaker 2: holes and just just barrel through and create a big, big,
- 3:54Speaker 2: deep hole. The problem is the bumper buck The these
- 4:00Speaker 2: bunker busters that we have are capable of going down
- 4:03Speaker 2: two hundred feet before exploding, so that would be one
- 4:08Speaker 2: hundred and thirty feet too short. They can only go
- 4:10Speaker 2: down two hundred feet. The stuff is about three hundred
- 4:13Speaker 2: and thirty feet down there, So what do you do well,
- 4:16Speaker 2: they're working on that. Some of the talk is a
- 4:20Speaker 2: number of bunker busters you just hit the whole mountain,
- 4:24Speaker 2: so you blow it all the way down to two
- 4:25Speaker 2: hundred feet and then once you've done that, then another
- 4:29Speaker 2: round of bunker busters can go another two hundred feet
- 4:31Speaker 2: and that would take it out. But that's a little tricky,
- 4:34Speaker 2: very very tricky. So they're working on all of that
- 4:37Speaker 2: right now. Now. In the meantime, the US can take
- 4:42Speaker 2: out the bas's entrances, bury the entrances and exits and
- 4:46Speaker 2: make sure they can't get in or out. So that's
- 4:48Speaker 2: one thing they're working on. President went to Georgia yesterday
- 4:52Speaker 2: now for about this is exactly how the media works.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Just go after Trump every day for any anything, anything.
- 5:01Speaker 2: If he turns left. You go after him. If he
- 5:03Speaker 2: turns right, you go after me. So they were going
- 5:06Speaker 2: after him for two three days about these soldiers killed
- 5:09Speaker 2: in the Iranian conflict, and they're yelling and screaming. Why
- 5:15Speaker 2: hasn't he called the families. Why doesn't he talk to
- 5:17Speaker 2: the families. Why doesn't he meet with the families? Why
- 5:19Speaker 2: doesn't he call them? This was the attack. Well, he
- 5:22Speaker 2: flew down to Georgia yesterday spent the day with the families,
- 5:26Speaker 2: what they call the dignified transfer. Spent the day with
- 5:29Speaker 2: the families, talking to them, meeting with them, taking pictures
- 5:32Speaker 2: with him. So the press immediately saw it all day
- 5:35Speaker 2: to day on MSNBC. Why is he with these families?
- 5:38Speaker 2: Why is he exploiting these families? Why is he using
- 5:40Speaker 2: them for a photo op? Why is he bothering these
- 5:43Speaker 2: families their time of grief? But he was there. It's
- 5:46Speaker 2: the toughest thing at president can do, meet with the
- 5:50Speaker 2: families of men and women killed in war.
- 5:53Speaker 6: All I'm going to say is we love you, We
- 5:55Speaker 6: love your child. And that's what they are to them.
- 5:58Speaker 6: They're their children. There's no games, no nothing, that's their child.
- 6:04Speaker 6: And all you could do is throw out your heart,
- 6:07Speaker 6: thank you.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a tough, tough Every president will tell you
- 6:10Speaker 2: the toughest part of the job. A lot of times
- 6:13Speaker 2: it's just a letter you send. But certain presidents Trump,
- 6:17Speaker 2: George W. Bush, they had this thing about actually meeting
- 6:20Speaker 2: with the families, and even if they couldn't meet with them,
- 6:23Speaker 2: calling them, talking to them, it was very important to them.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Crazy mom Donnie. A lot of people pointing out, even
- 6:33Speaker 2: with his own base, he's gonna have a problem. He's
- 6:36Speaker 2: gonna become known as just a TikTok mayor where everything
- 6:39Speaker 2: looks great on TikTok but not in reality. And it's
- 6:44Speaker 2: a lot of promises that, you know, things that never happened.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Free buses, there's no free buses. And open grocery stores,
- 6:51Speaker 2: there's no grocery stores. You'll never see one of these
- 6:52Speaker 2: grocery stores. You'll never live to see a grocery store.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Everything he talks about never happens. So the whole thing
- 6:59Speaker 2: with net and Yahoo just adds to that. It's, you
- 7:02Speaker 2: know everything, Well, he must have known he couldn't arrest
- 7:06Speaker 2: Benjamin Netna, who, first of all, a mayor has no
- 7:08Speaker 2: power to arrest anybody. He would have to beg the
- 7:12Speaker 2: police commissioner to do it. Jessica Tish, who's Jewish, is
- 7:16Speaker 2: not going to arrest Benjamin Netanyahoo. If you watch Law
- 7:20Speaker 2: and Order, that was half the episodes. The mayor wanted
- 7:22Speaker 2: somebody arrested, begging the police commissioner, and it wouldn't happen
- 7:28Speaker 2: even if even if she was willing to do it.
- 7:30Speaker 2: You can't arrest Benjamin net Nyaho. He's here coming here
- 7:34Speaker 2: in September for the UN General Assembly. The foreign leaders
- 7:38Speaker 2: that come to that are under federal protection. There's actual
- 7:41Speaker 2: laws on the book protecting them, and it would be
- 7:45Speaker 2: illegal to arrest them. And remember, federal law always overrules
- 7:50Speaker 2: local law. In fact, under the law, to even threaten
- 7:55Speaker 2: to arrest them is a crime and you can be
- 7:57Speaker 2: convicted of that. So you know, mom, Donnie has already
- 8:02Speaker 2: committed the crime. That's a crime. Trump could have him
- 8:04Speaker 2: arrested if he wanted to, but you know he won't
- 8:08Speaker 2: do that. But the whole thing is preposterous. He knew
- 8:11Speaker 2: this was impossible, I don't. I mean, if he really
- 8:14Speaker 2: was interested in arresting Benjamin not in Yahoo, I'm sure
- 8:17Speaker 2: he would have asked about it. So he knows it
- 8:19Speaker 2: can't happen. But he went out and made a whole
- 8:21Speaker 2: production out of it, a whole theatrical production of Arresting
- 8:24Speaker 2: Net in Yahoo. Then he had to go on and
- 8:26Speaker 2: announce it's not going to happen. He can't do it.
- 8:28Speaker 2: But it's just another one of those things. Again, he's
- 8:31Speaker 2: a TikTok mayor. You see all these great videos on TikTok,
- 8:35Speaker 2: but in real life he can't get anything done. Nothing
- 8:38Speaker 2: he promises happens. Hey, he also promised a billion dollar
- 8:42Speaker 2: community safety program that would replace the NYPD billion dollar
- 8:46Speaker 2: community safety program. Been in office six months now, there's
- 8:51Speaker 2: no program. But well there is a program, but it
- 8:54Speaker 2: only has two staffers. Two people are working on it.
- 8:59Speaker 2: That's about it. So again, the TikTok mayor gets nothing done.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Everything fizzles in real life. The free buses, and I'm
- 9:08Speaker 2: sure he knew this. He has no power to make
- 9:10Speaker 2: the buses free. The buses are totally controlled by the state,
- 9:14Speaker 2: by Kathy Hockel. It's the MTA that runs the buses.
- 9:18Speaker 2: They're the only ones that can make it free. And
- 9:20Speaker 2: they're not going to do that. The MTA. They're always
- 9:22Speaker 2: yelling at, screaming, they need more money. Hey, what about
- 9:25Speaker 2: those tax hikes on the rich? What about the property tax?
- 9:28Speaker 2: What about all the one that's mostly the state. Now
- 9:31Speaker 2: there is word that he's threatening, privately threatening Kathy Hokeel
- 9:35Speaker 2: that she better push to get this done if she
- 9:39Speaker 2: wants his support for reelection, and she feels she'll need
- 9:43Speaker 2: it because she's a a goofball, a disaster and she's
- 9:47Speaker 2: facing a real strong candidate. Bruce Blakeman be the perfect governor.
- 9:51Speaker 2: He is a perfect governor already Nassau County executive. That's
- 9:54Speaker 2: what you do as a county executive, you're a governor.
- 9:57Speaker 2: And he's been brilliant at it, So he'd be the
- 9:59Speaker 2: perfect govern governor. So she's got a tough time getting
- 10:03Speaker 2: re elected, and she thinks she's going to need the wackos,
- 10:06Speaker 2: the crazy, you know, socialist Democrats, and she's going to
- 10:09Speaker 2: need his endorsement. So he's got a lot of leverage
- 10:13Speaker 2: over her right now. Blakeman taking out a new ad.
- 10:16Speaker 2: I like this. Sometimes candidates do this. It's a reverse
- 10:18Speaker 2: ad where you pretend it's the other candidates ad. In
- 10:24Speaker 2: other words, you pretend it's a hocal ad and you
- 10:26Speaker 2: make her sound bad. Here it is.
- 10:28Speaker 7: We've raised tolls and fares over twenty times because the
- 10:31Speaker 7: best way to fix traffic is to ensure regular people
- 10:34Speaker 7: can't afford to drive or take the subway. And we
- 10:37Speaker 7: ended cash bail so that we would stop punishing people
- 10:39Speaker 7: who commit brutal crimes against our fellow New Yorkers like
- 10:42Speaker 7: this nice young man.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Awesome crack this November.
- 10:46Speaker 7: Don't let Bruce Blakeman lower your taxes or make New
- 10:49Speaker 7: York safe. Keep it unsafe and unaffordable with Kathy Hokeel
- 10:54Speaker 7: as your governor.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know what do you think? It's an
- 10:57Speaker 2: effective technique? Sometimes? Yeah, I actually like it. I like it.
- 11:01Speaker 2: So problem is, Hockel has got about forty two million
- 11:05Speaker 2: to spend. She's raised twenty million. The Democrat Party has
- 11:08Speaker 2: about twenty two million to give her. Blakeman has raised
- 11:11Speaker 2: eleven million. It's tough for him because normally, hey, all
- 11:16Speaker 2: the big business guys want Blakeman very badly, but many
- 11:20Speaker 2: of them afraid to donate because they're doing business here
- 11:22Speaker 2: and they don't want Kathy Hockel mad at them. So
- 11:25Speaker 2: it's tough for him. So he needs help. He needs donations.
- 11:28Speaker 2: He can donate go to blakemanfronewyork dot com. Help him out,
- 11:32Speaker 2: blakemanfronew york dot com. Now, the big election issue mid
- 11:38Speaker 2: terms coming up, big, big, big issue in the election
- 11:42Speaker 2: was affordability. The whole election was affordability. But Democrats have
- 11:47Speaker 2: once again screwed themselves up completely, you know, very often
- 11:52Speaker 2: as bad as the Republicans can get. No matter how
- 11:56Speaker 2: bad the Republicans get, the Democrats have a talent to
- 11:58Speaker 2: always make themselves even worse, to find some way to
- 12:01Speaker 2: be even worse. And they've done it this time by
- 12:04Speaker 2: becoming socialist communist thing. They keep using the words socialists,
- 12:07Speaker 2: it's the same thing as communism. It's just socialists are
- 12:11Speaker 2: usually elected, communists usually take over through revolution. But it's
- 12:14Speaker 2: the same, exact, same exact thing. So h this movement,
- 12:20Speaker 2: the whole democratic movement, to become communists. That's going to
- 12:24Speaker 2: be the midterm issue. And for that it's easy for
- 12:29Speaker 2: Republicans to win. And that's why President Trump is just
- 12:32Speaker 2: going after the communist stuff. You know, it used to
- 12:35Speaker 2: be if you were a communist and you were in
- 12:37Speaker 2: government and a communist boy, you had to hide. McCarthy
- 12:39Speaker 2: would hunt you down, and you had to lie and
- 12:42Speaker 2: say you weren't. Yah, are you a communist?
- 12:45Speaker 8: No?
- 12:45Speaker 2: No, no. Now the campaign is communists, So Trump is
- 12:49Speaker 2: going to use that as the issue.
- 12:51Speaker 9: With communism, everything turns to okay, terrible thing.
- 13:04Speaker 10: It's my wife face it when I do that.
- 13:08Speaker 9: She said you were doing so nicely and then you
- 13:09Speaker 9: had to use a foul ware.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Yeah. Well but again he's the Howard Stern president. Yeah,
- 13:15Speaker 2: why does he have to talk like that? Why does
- 13:16Speaker 2: he have to say that he's a Howard Stern sort
- 13:18Speaker 2: of president.
- 13:19Speaker 9: And you know they want to give everyone everything away.
- 13:22Speaker 9: You want free rent, you want free house, you want
- 13:24Speaker 9: to What they don't say is in a year from
- 13:26Speaker 9: now they'll be absolute squalor, turmoil and death. These people
- 13:31Speaker 9: are crazy, but communism is.
- 13:36Speaker 2: In my opinion, communism.
- 13:37Speaker 9: Is the single greatest threat to our country and its history,
- 13:41Speaker 9: including even World War One and World War two. Pearl
- 13:45Speaker 9: Harbor nine to eleven. I think it's the greatest threat
- 13:47Speaker 9: that I've ever seen to our country.
- 13:49Speaker 5: These people are stone called crazy.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Yeah, but canvas of the Founding Fathers coming back and
- 13:54Speaker 2: seeing Democrats are trying to bring communism to it's crazy.
- 13:59Speaker 2: So it's going to be the issue Now the real
- 14:02Speaker 2: question is you got the elders of the Democratic Party,
- 14:05Speaker 2: the people who you would think really behind the scenes
- 14:08Speaker 2: are running the Democratic Party, the smart, experienced people. Why
- 14:13Speaker 2: are they so frightened? I don't mean the shumers, are
- 14:16Speaker 2: those types Jeffrey's I mean those are just frightened idiots
- 14:19Speaker 2: hiding under their desk. But I mean we're the Clintons,
- 14:23Speaker 2: and I know behind the scenes, the Clintons hate this.
- 14:25Speaker 2: They hate what's going on. The Obamas hate this. All
- 14:29Speaker 2: the smart Democrats were But where are they? How did
- 14:31Speaker 2: they lose control? How do they get so frightened of
- 14:34Speaker 2: these twelve year old communists? They're just terrified of them
- 14:38Speaker 2: in standing up to them. Anyway, we'll get back to that.
- 14:41Speaker 2: We got a lot to get to today. We'll take
- 14:44Speaker 2: some calls in a minute. Eight hundred three to two
- 14:47Speaker 2: one zero seven ten. Is the number, eight hundred three
- 14:51Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Live from the Door, Life Back Studios, bill Mark Simone show.
- 15:01Speaker 11: Hey, the number is eight hundred three. That's the number,
- 15:05Speaker 11: eight hundred three two one zero seven ten. Eight hundred
- 15:10Speaker 11: three two one zero seven ten. Let's go to how
- 15:13Speaker 11: in Great Neck Hell? How you doing.
- 15:16Speaker 8: Okay?
- 15:17Speaker 2: How are you good.
- 15:20Speaker 8: All right. I want to.
- 15:21Speaker 3: Talk about I want to talk about the abysmal lack
- 15:25Speaker 3: of knowledge of Americans of history.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Well, yeah, we all can't be as brilliant as hell
- 15:30Speaker 2: from Great Neck. You know. We try to keep up,
- 15:32Speaker 2: but you're like the Einstein of the North Shore, who
- 15:36Speaker 2: could keep up with you?
- 15:38Speaker 3: Okay, well, thank you very.
- 15:40Speaker 2: He thinks I'm serious, but America, Yeah, go ahead. You
- 15:49Speaker 2: know your phone's breaking up, but in your case, I
- 15:51Speaker 2: don't mind. Do we lose them? How are you there?
- 15:59Speaker 2: See he's still there. I can't hear you call back, brilliant,
- 16:03Speaker 2: but he can't get his phone door. Let's go to
- 16:06Speaker 2: John and West Island. John, how you.
- 16:08Speaker 12: Doing all right?
- 16:11Speaker 13: Mark?
- 16:11Speaker 6: You I.
- 16:14Speaker 14: Johnny Carson. Did he ever perform Did he ever perform
- 16:18Speaker 14: his magic lives on the Tonight Show?
- 16:21Speaker 2: Yeah, once in a while. He never did his actual
- 16:23Speaker 2: magic at Carson that started as a kid as a magician.
- 16:26Speaker 2: But once in a while, especially when he had a
- 16:27Speaker 2: little kid on the show, he'd do a trick or two.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Once in a while he do a card trick or
- 16:31Speaker 2: a trick of coins, and.
- 16:33Speaker 14: He's okay, cool, Yeah, that was like I grew up
- 16:36Speaker 14: with Johnny. He was the greatest, and it's so cool
- 16:38Speaker 14: that you're just so Johnny Carson.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Did you get the new book? You got the new
- 16:43Speaker 2: book called Love Johnny Carson.
- 16:45Speaker 14: You know I heard about the he was at the Patsy's.
- 16:48Speaker 14: He was at Patsy's in the city, and that was
- 16:51Speaker 14: something I.
- 16:52Speaker 12: Would love and he stop hearing about it.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Get this book. It is this guy, the absolute definitive
- 16:59Speaker 2: book about you, Jhnny Carson. It just came out six
- 17:02Speaker 2: months ago. It's called Love Johnny Carson. Mark Malkoff, go
- 17:06Speaker 2: to Johnny. I absolute I knew everything you can know
- 17:10Speaker 2: about Johnny Carson. I read the book. I learned fifteen
- 17:13Speaker 2: thousand things I didn't know. It's the best book, every
- 17:17Speaker 2: deadly accurate book. It's called Love Johnny Carson. Go order
- 17:20Speaker 2: it today. Let's go to uh Joel in Connecticut. Joel,
- 17:24Speaker 2: how you.
- 17:24Speaker 13: Doing I'm doing well? Mark, how are you doing good?
- 17:28Speaker 13: So I wanted to just say regarding man Danny and
- 17:32Speaker 13: why he is so much beating the drum to go
- 17:36Speaker 13: after neck in Yahoo, I mean it's really it's a
- 17:40Speaker 13: dog whistle for his troops. He's rally.
- 17:44Speaker 2: We know that, we know that.
- 17:46Speaker 13: Yeah, So if he's If we know that, then why
- 17:48Speaker 13: don't we charge him from inciting to riot.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Well, we don't have to do that, just threatening, to
- 17:54Speaker 2: believe it or not, just threatening. The arrest of net
- 17:56Speaker 2: and Yahoo is a crime under the law. I don't
- 17:59Speaker 2: have it in front of me, But there's several laws.
- 18:01Speaker 2: When a foreign leader comes to you in General Assembly,
- 18:04Speaker 2: he's under a certain protected status by the federal government.
- 18:07Speaker 2: It is a very serious crime to arrest him, harass him,
- 18:12Speaker 2: harm him in any way, handcuff him, and you can
- 18:15Speaker 2: face up to ten years in prison for that. But
- 18:18Speaker 2: if you read the law, there's a section in there
- 18:21Speaker 2: that it's illegal to even threaten a foreign leader coming
- 18:24Speaker 2: to the General Assembly, to even threaten him with anything
- 18:28Speaker 2: or try to intimidate him or menace him, and that's
- 18:31Speaker 2: a crime under federal law. You can be put in
- 18:34Speaker 2: jail for three years up to three years for that.
- 18:37Speaker 2: The President could right now arrest mom Donnie, and he'd
- 18:40Speaker 2: easily be convicted under the law. But you know the
- 18:44Speaker 2: President isn't that ruthless. He'll give him another chance. Let's
- 18:48Speaker 2: go to rich in Myrtle Beach. Rich how you doing
- 18:52Speaker 2: and thanks Mark.
- 18:53Speaker 3: You know when Dommy steps over the line a little
- 18:55Speaker 3: bit more. Trump needs to become ruthless. He needs to
- 18:57Speaker 3: become ruthless and Iran. He needs to finish the job.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Our guest went from three twenty nine to three eighty
- 19:03Speaker 3: in about four days. But the thing I want to
- 19:05Speaker 3: talk to you about was the poll I saw this
- 19:07Speaker 3: morning where you have the new Hampshire Pole. We have
- 19:11Speaker 3: AOC Buddha Jeedge is the top two candidates sent some
- 19:15Speaker 3: other knuckle ahead, and then you got Newsom and Harris
- 19:17Speaker 3: all the way down your line. Can you imagine Rubio
- 19:20Speaker 3: or Advance debating any one of those those war arms
- 19:23Speaker 3: on that stage. What that would look like?
- 19:25Speaker 2: Remember, ninety percent of the public polls that you said
- 19:28Speaker 2: you see on the news or in television or in
- 19:30Speaker 2: the news are totally rigged and absolutely absurd polls.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Not even one of MacLaughlin coming back on.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Well, I'm taking off tomorrow. We'll get them for next week.
- 19:39Speaker 2: We'll get John McLaughlin's one of the great.
- 19:43Speaker 3: You're pretty much done for Fridays for the rest of
- 19:44Speaker 3: the summer.
- 19:45Speaker 2: That Eric, No, I don't want to say that. I mean, well,
- 19:50Speaker 2: let me ask you something.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Anybody's allowed to take a day off right all right,
- 19:53Speaker 3: But let me ask.
- 19:53Speaker 2: You, is it better if I just take a whole
- 19:55Speaker 2: week off or just take a bunch of Fridays off?
- 19:57Speaker 2: Which is better?
- 20:00Speaker 3: Oh that's a hard point. That's odd because maybe you
- 20:03Speaker 3: have Vincent as somebody else come in house to show
- 20:05Speaker 3: on a Tuesday or something like that. That'd be pretty funny.
- 20:07Speaker 2: But I don't know.
- 20:08Speaker 3: It's fifty fifty. It's fifty to fifty. You don't want
- 20:10Speaker 3: to you don't want to be away that long, you know.
- 20:11Speaker 2: No, I don't want to take a whole I don't
- 20:13Speaker 2: want to take a week off. So I just I
- 20:17Speaker 2: got a lot of weeks vacation every year, so to
- 20:19Speaker 2: do it, I just I'm sure stuff to take a
- 20:22Speaker 2: lot of Fridays off, it's better than taking a whole
- 20:24Speaker 2: week off at once.
- 20:26Speaker 3: That's true. That's true.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Thanks Mark, all right, thanks for calling. Uh and uh
- 20:32Speaker 2: now I forgot what I was going to say. What
- 20:33Speaker 2: we're talking about with him? Oh, Ma'm donnie, Yeah, mom, Donnie. So, uh,
- 20:39Speaker 2: it's not they call it a dog with it's not
- 20:41Speaker 2: a dog whistle. I mean a dog whistle is a
- 20:44Speaker 2: kind of hint at something. This is a factory whistle.
- 20:46Speaker 2: The whole town couldn't hear it. He's screaming he's gonna
- 20:49Speaker 2: go after a net and Yahu. They you gotta remember,
- 20:51Speaker 2: it's it's just they pretend it's anti Israel. All these
- 20:56Speaker 2: crazy democrats, socialists, all these left wing kooks, they pretend
- 21:01Speaker 2: the grudges with Israel. It's actually anti Semitism. It's real, dirty,
- 21:07Speaker 2: ugly anti semitism. They disguise it as anti Israel. And
- 21:11Speaker 2: if you're not Jewish and you say, well, it doesn't
- 21:13Speaker 2: affect me, it does affect you. Any time you'll allow
- 21:16Speaker 2: any kind of crazed bigotry, it's harmful to everybody. And
- 21:21Speaker 2: remember with these crazy socialist communists, and this has always
- 21:24Speaker 2: been the case. It's first chapter is anti Semitism, and
- 21:29Speaker 2: then the next thing you know, it's anti Catholic, and
- 21:31Speaker 2: then the next thing you know, it's anti America. You've
- 21:33Speaker 2: already seen, mom, Donny get anti Italian, anti Irish when
- 21:37Speaker 2: you put that map out. So hey, when we come back,
- 21:40Speaker 2: we'll talk to Steve Moore. Let's see if we do.
- 21:44Speaker 2: So far, he's been pretty good. He missed last week,
- 21:46Speaker 2: we couldn't find him, but I think that was an
- 21:49Speaker 2: exception that he's been very good. So I predictable. Find
- 21:53Speaker 2: Steve Moore next, lots to talk to him about coming
- 21:56Speaker 2: up on seven to ten WR Mister.
- 21:59Speaker 1: New York on the game The Mark Simone Showoor.
- 22:06Speaker 11: Well.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Steve Moore brilliant economist and a great columnists. You should
- 22:11Speaker 2: read his latest book, The Trump Economic Miracle. Great book,
- 22:15Speaker 2: Trump Economic Miracle. And then he runs the Committee to
- 22:18Speaker 2: Unleashed Prosperity. Every day they put out the best daily news,
- 22:22Speaker 2: briefing and analysis. Great stuff. It's free, it'll come right
- 22:25Speaker 2: to your email. You can go sign up at Unleash
- 22:28Speaker 2: Prosperity dot com. Steve Moore, how you doing.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Hey, Mark? I am doing really well. By the way,
- 22:36Speaker 3: I apologize I missed your show last Thursday, but I
- 22:40Speaker 3: think I have a pretty good excuse I had. I
- 22:42Speaker 3: did a day long visit to a data center in
- 22:47Speaker 3: Loudin County, Virginia. Now, have you ever been to a
- 22:49Speaker 3: data center? Mark?
- 22:51Speaker 2: No, I don't know. Most people haven't, but I'm yeah fascinate.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Well, I have to tell you it was an amazing experience.
- 22:57Speaker 3: These are technological marvels there. I mean, I've never seen
- 23:01Speaker 3: so many construction workers, so many trucks, so many Caterpillar
- 23:05Speaker 3: too much creterpiller equipment. This is the nerve center of
- 23:08Speaker 3: the Internet. We need these data centers. And as you know,
- 23:12Speaker 3: there's a revolt around the country and in the state.
- 23:14Speaker 3: You'reine in New York, you're idiot. Governor said, you know,
- 23:17Speaker 3: moratorium on data centers. Well, does that mean she wants
- 23:20Speaker 3: some moratorium on the internet.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Well, like most crazy left wing voters, they don't realize
- 23:26Speaker 2: the consequences of what they're voting.
- 23:28Speaker 14: For.
- 23:28Speaker 2: You, they won't be able to use their phone eventually.
- 23:30Speaker 3: But yeah, I mean people, I always say, people, do
- 23:32Speaker 3: you like your I phone? You know, like your cell
- 23:34Speaker 3: phone in your hand that you can't you know, lived without?
- 23:37Speaker 3: Oh I love it? Well, but I don't want data centers.
- 23:40Speaker 3: Well that'd be like saying I want I want electricity,
- 23:43Speaker 3: but I don't want an electric power plant.
- 23:44Speaker 2: All right, let's go over the three objections. One is
- 23:47Speaker 2: it uses up all the electricity? Is that true?
- 23:51Speaker 3: Well, they do use an enormous amount of power, no question.
- 23:54Speaker 3: The Internet is very uses a lot of energy, and
- 23:59Speaker 3: yet they pay you know what they're doing now And
- 24:01Speaker 3: I've I've been working with these internet companies and the
- 24:04Speaker 3: data centers. They are now paying the freight for the
- 24:08Speaker 3: energy that they use, so much so that in Virginia
- 24:10Speaker 3: they've actually lowered the rates that pay that the homeowners
- 24:14Speaker 3: pay in that area because they pay all of their
- 24:17Speaker 3: variable cost and all the fixed costs for the for
- 24:20Speaker 3: the electric power. So this idea that they're going to
- 24:23Speaker 3: force everybody to pay more for electricity is wrong in
- 24:26Speaker 3: many cases. They they In fact, if you look at
- 24:29Speaker 3: Virginia and compare Virginia, say with New York, where you
- 24:31Speaker 3: have no data centers, the rates electric power rates are
- 24:35Speaker 3: falling in Virginia and they're going way up in New York.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Yeah, sometimes they try to claim they can provide their
- 24:40Speaker 2: own electricity, but we haven't seen that in the.
- 24:43Speaker 3: Well, some of them are talking about like building literally
- 24:45Speaker 3: a nuclear power reactor, a small module next to the
- 24:48Speaker 3: data that's still a little bit far off in the future,
- 24:51Speaker 3: but at some point they probably will, you know, do
- 24:54Speaker 3: that with these you know, many nuclear modules that are
- 24:57Speaker 3: you know, you know, one tenth the size of you know.
- 25:00Speaker 2: A three mile island reactor.
- 25:03Speaker 3: But but uh, you know, this is this is kind
- 25:05Speaker 3: of a myth because in the state, in the areas
- 25:08Speaker 3: where you have the data centers, they they use a
- 25:11Speaker 3: lot of electric power, but they pay a lot of
- 25:13Speaker 3: the freight for the electricity they use.
- 25:15Speaker 2: What about using up the water supply of the town.
- 25:18Speaker 3: Oh, that was that's one of the most focused things,
- 25:21Speaker 3: you know, one of the things we saw on these
- 25:23Speaker 3: data centers. I mean these are huge, by the way.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Marketeps are like two football fields long, massive amount of
- 25:29Speaker 3: computers and uh, and they have these massive pumps because
- 25:32Speaker 3: water for you know, it's a it's an interesting engineering experiment.
- 25:36Speaker 3: The reason they use so much water, you know what
- 25:39Speaker 3: they use the water for?
- 25:40Speaker 2: No cooling?
- 25:40Speaker 12: I guess cooling.
- 25:42Speaker 3: Yeah, cooling, because you know, there's so much heat created
- 25:46Speaker 3: by these computers they need to cool them down, and
- 25:48Speaker 3: so the water is what cools down so that they
- 25:51Speaker 3: don't end up exploding. Uh. But they've become almost circular.
- 25:55Speaker 3: They do use a lot of water, but it's they're
- 25:57Speaker 3: now recycling it, so it just you know, flows back
- 26:00Speaker 3: can pour through the plant. So that's kind of bogus
- 26:03Speaker 3: argument as well.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Okay, the third argument is that they make a tremendous
- 26:07Speaker 2: amount of noise and that the residents wouldn't be able
- 26:09Speaker 2: to sleep at night.
- 26:11Speaker 3: Well, they are noisy. They can be noisy. But that's
- 26:14Speaker 3: why you So for example, the one that I visited
- 26:19Speaker 3: was right in the shadows of Dolus Airport. So what's
- 26:21Speaker 3: going on at Doulus Airport? Every every twenty five seconds
- 26:25Speaker 3: there's a plane, you know, flying by, So nobody complains
- 26:28Speaker 3: with the data is because you know the plan. So,
- 26:32Speaker 3: by the way, would be the same things that we
- 26:34Speaker 3: don't want airports in this country. We're gonna have airports.
- 26:36Speaker 3: They made for too much noise. But but you know,
- 26:40Speaker 3: but that's why I think they should be built only
- 26:43Speaker 3: in communities.
- 26:43Speaker 2: That want them.
- 26:44Speaker 3: This is an enormous amount of jobs. These are people
- 26:47Speaker 3: are making fifty to one hundred dollars an hour or more.
- 26:50Speaker 3: You know, the technicians make you know, several hundred thousand
- 26:53Speaker 3: dollars a year. So this is the future. But you know,
- 26:56Speaker 3: the other thing is we are in a race, as
- 26:58Speaker 3: you know, I call it the Indy five hundred race
- 27:01Speaker 3: against the Chinese to see who's going to get there first.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Because it's not like we're going to stop AI and
- 27:06Speaker 3: data centers from happening. They're going to happen. It's just
- 27:08Speaker 3: a question of whether it's going to be controlled by
- 27:10Speaker 3: the USA or China right now. I mean we're you know,
- 27:15Speaker 3: I mean, we have a little bit of a lead,
- 27:17Speaker 3: but not a big lead on China.
- 27:19Speaker 2: So the reason we need the AI uses like a
- 27:21Speaker 2: million times more whatever than a simple Google search would
- 27:25Speaker 2: it uses. Right, So, but the way this technology advances,
- 27:29Speaker 2: don't you think in five years the whole data center
- 27:31Speaker 2: will be the size of a vending machine. Besides of
- 27:34Speaker 2: what a vending machine in other words, Oh, I don't.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Know about that. But they get better all the time
- 27:40Speaker 3: in terms of their efficiency, no question about it. And
- 27:44Speaker 3: at some point, you know when you talked about the future,
- 27:46Speaker 3: at some point the data centers will probably be up
- 27:48Speaker 3: in the atmosphere.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Oh oh, you mean in space.
- 27:52Speaker 3: They'll be like satellites that'll do the So I mean,
- 27:55Speaker 3: you know, the future is coming quickly, and I just
- 27:57Speaker 3: want America to win the race to the future. I
- 27:59Speaker 3: don't want the China. Proply say, but go ahead.
- 28:05Speaker 2: When you walk around in the data center, what goes
- 28:07Speaker 2: I mean obviously all the equipment, But are there a
- 28:09Speaker 2: lot of people working there?
- 28:12Speaker 3: Not a lot? I mean these are huge mega computers, uh,
- 28:17Speaker 3: and you have technicians running around making sure that there's
- 28:21Speaker 3: a lot of security because you know, we're vulnerable if
- 28:24Speaker 3: if China wanted to, you know, or a terrorists wanted
- 28:28Speaker 3: to do damage to our country take up these data
- 28:30Speaker 3: centers all of a sudden, Guess what. You don't get
- 28:32Speaker 3: your internet, you don't catch your GPS system, you don't
- 28:34Speaker 3: get the secure you know. The military is very dependent
- 28:37Speaker 3: on the data centers as well, so there's a lot
- 28:40Speaker 3: of security at these things. They would not let me
- 28:43Speaker 3: bring a camera in, by the way, they would not
- 28:45Speaker 3: let me take fixtures because they're worried about Chinese espionage. So,
- 28:50Speaker 3: but the technicians are everywhere. The construction was amazing though,
- 28:54Speaker 3: because they keep expanding these, you know, and I've never
- 28:57Speaker 3: seen so. And the construction workers union.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Is the biggest.
- 29:00Speaker 3: They're the biggest advocates of of the of the data
- 29:04Speaker 3: centers because that's where a lot of the jobs are
- 29:06Speaker 3: coming from.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Now, yeah, who owns these data centers? Are they all independent?
- 29:10Speaker 2: Are they owned by a tech company? Who is the
- 29:12Speaker 2: data centers?
- 29:13Speaker 3: Well, I would tell you that except I have to
- 29:14Speaker 3: kill you. I mean, they're very secretive actually about who
- 29:18Speaker 3: owns them. And so some of the companies like the
- 29:22Speaker 3: Googles and Amazons and stuff, run their own data centers
- 29:26Speaker 3: and some of the then you have these independent companies
- 29:29Speaker 3: that build them and then they essentially rent them out.
- 29:33Speaker 3: They you know, there was they operate the data centers
- 29:36Speaker 3: and the Googles and the you know in videos and
- 29:38Speaker 3: so on. They contract with the data centers to use
- 29:42Speaker 3: their uh, you know, their facilities.
- 29:46Speaker 2: So we could open a data center and then contact.
- 29:50Speaker 3: You know. But they're enormous. I mean, they they are gigantic.
- 29:54Speaker 3: They as I said, they're several acres big. They're like
- 29:57Speaker 3: giant they look like those giant Amazon warehouses that people
- 30:01Speaker 3: are familiar with. And so but it's pretty exciting in
- 30:04Speaker 3: the future. And and you know, now they've got the
- 30:07Speaker 3: uh you know. One of the things this AI is
- 30:10Speaker 3: doing now is they're being able now to detect cancer
- 30:13Speaker 3: cells in the body much much much sooner than the
- 30:17Speaker 3: old technologies. So just as one example, because of this
- 30:21Speaker 3: AI revolution, which is dependent on data centers, you know,
- 30:24Speaker 3: within twenty years, we could literally have cures for cancer
- 30:27Speaker 3: because we'll be able to detect them. As anyone knows
- 30:30Speaker 3: who's had the tragedy of you know and the loved
- 30:32Speaker 3: one having cancer. This earlier you can detect the cancer,
- 30:35Speaker 3: the more likely you are to cure it.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, I don't know this, but do you have
- 30:40Speaker 2: to put the data center like local to where you're
- 30:42Speaker 2: going to need it or can they be any place
- 30:44Speaker 2: in the world.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Well, that's that's a good question. Mark. I asked that
- 30:47Speaker 3: exact same question to the technical people there. You know,
- 30:51Speaker 3: there is a benefit to proximity because you need the
- 30:53Speaker 3: transmission lines. But at some point I said, why can't
- 30:56Speaker 3: we build these things out in the desert? Yeah, you know,
- 31:00Speaker 3: and the problem is you would just need long transmission lines,
- 31:04Speaker 3: you know, getting that to New York City or to
- 31:07Speaker 3: Baltimore or to you know, your local community. But I
- 31:10Speaker 3: think at some point that might be the future. You
- 31:12Speaker 3: build them in outer space, and you build them in
- 31:14Speaker 3: you know, very remote areas.
- 31:16Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, the way you describe it, obviously, it costs
- 31:18Speaker 2: millions and millions to open one of these things, So
- 31:21Speaker 2: why don't just put some heavy taxes on them and
- 31:23Speaker 2: have them to help our tax burden.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Well, there's all sorts of alternatives to how we do this,
- 31:31Speaker 3: but we have to do it. And people say, well,
- 31:33Speaker 3: I don't want to. AI is here. Businesses are already
- 31:35Speaker 3: using AI and we're in I've said many times in couplers.
- 31:38Speaker 3: So we're in the middle of an incredible productivity revolution.
- 31:42Speaker 3: I mean, how about this mark. You know what we
- 31:44Speaker 3: could with these productivity improvements. They're coming four day work week.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Yeah, well I'm already doing that, but but I know,
- 31:56Speaker 2: Steve Moore, this has been fascinating. What a fascinating Yeah.
- 32:00Speaker 3: It's great. I mean it's I wish every American could
- 32:04Speaker 3: go visit a data center and you could see with
- 32:06Speaker 3: your two eyes what's going on in these things. They
- 32:09Speaker 3: are mind numbing in terms. I mean, think about this.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Remember the old Lily Tomlin you know skits where she
- 32:16Speaker 3: would pay the play the uh the switch to the
- 32:18Speaker 3: telephone operator and she'd put me, oh you want to
- 32:21Speaker 3: call Mike Smith, okay, and then she'd take the plug out,
- 32:24Speaker 3: she put it, put it into the you know that
- 32:27Speaker 3: was like one one telephone call and one one operator
- 32:30Speaker 3: was you know, you know, transmitting your call. These are
- 32:34Speaker 3: billions of transactions and communications that are happening every minute.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Well, well, Steve Moore, fascinating interview. This is it is unbelievable. Well,
- 32:44Speaker 2: great stuff. Everybody gets Steve Moore's book, The Trump Economic Miracle,
- 32:48Speaker 2: and make sure you sign up for his daily briefing,
- 32:50Speaker 2: and it's called the Hotline. You go to Unleash prosperity
- 32:54Speaker 2: dot com. Sign up, it's free, it'll come write to
- 32:56Speaker 2: your email Unleash prosperity dot com. Brilliant as always, Steve Moore,
- 33:01Speaker 2: thanks for being with us.
- 33:02Speaker 3: Okay, Mark, have a great week.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Take care, take care. Wow that was see Now you
- 33:08Speaker 2: know everything you need to know about these data centers. Hey,
- 33:11Speaker 2: you don't forget. At noon it's Buck Sexton and Clay
- 33:13Speaker 2: Travis three o'clock. Today you got the most listened to
- 33:16Speaker 2: radio show in America, Sean Hannity, Jesse Kelly at six
- 33:21Speaker 2: and Jimmy Fayla every night. What a funny show every
- 33:25Speaker 2: night nine to midnight. Here on seven ten wr.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Mark Simone, The Issues you really care about.
- 33:32Speaker 7: On seven ten wor.
- 33:35Speaker 2: Well, Hey, it's going to be the most beautiful four
- 33:38Speaker 2: days of the entire summer, starting today at eighty degrees. Sonny,
- 33:42Speaker 2: it's gonna be like this for four days in a row,
- 33:45Speaker 2: so take advantage of it. I got another hour to
- 33:47Speaker 2: go on. Lots to get to in the next hour.
- 33:49Speaker 2: Back after the news on seven to ten wor.
- 33:53Speaker 1: No Mark Simone Show Live from the wr lifeback studios.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Yeah, a beautiful sunny day to day. So hey, as
- 34:04Speaker 2: much as I complain about that FIFA and that World Cup,
- 34:08Speaker 2: don't you feel great that it's gone. There's no more FIFA.
- 34:13Speaker 2: There's no more World Cup traffic closure tie ups, this well,
- 34:17Speaker 2: it's all gone. No more of those screaming fans all
- 34:21Speaker 2: over the place, they're gone. No more FIFA. It is
- 34:24Speaker 2: great now. The only thing is I'm looking at the
- 34:27Speaker 2: numbers here. The FIFA in the New York area brought
- 34:32Speaker 2: in two billion dollars in revenue billion with a b
- 34:38Speaker 2: two billion in revenue came into New York from FIFA
- 34:41Speaker 2: around the country. In the United States, FIFA brought in
- 34:45Speaker 2: fifteen billion. Now, I was expected to bring in eleven billion,
- 34:49Speaker 2: but it brought in fifteen billion. And that final FIFA,
- 34:55Speaker 2: whatever the hell that was that Sunday Final final game,
- 35:00Speaker 2: sixty eight million people watched it. You never get that
- 35:03Speaker 2: in television anymore. Never. That's Oscars, Emmy's, Tony's combined times ten.
- 35:09Speaker 2: I mean, it's amazing. Sixty eight million watched the game
- 35:14Speaker 2: where nobody's scored for hour after hour after nobody is scoring,
- 35:18Speaker 2: but everybody's watching it. Hey, Legionnaire's disease. Well they think
- 35:25Speaker 2: it's getting under control. Who knows it's You got eighty
- 35:28Speaker 2: seven buildings. Now with the water cooler tower on top
- 35:32Speaker 2: where they found Legionaire's disease, it's eighty seven. The numbers
- 35:35Speaker 2: up a little now. The criticism of Mamdani is that
- 35:41Speaker 2: his response to the legionnaires. They know what the epicenter was,
- 35:44Speaker 2: they're not saying publicly eighty seventh in Lenxington. But the
- 35:49Speaker 2: response was, well, well, we'll start testing the water cooler,
- 35:54Speaker 2: the water in those cooling tanks, we'll start testing. Well
- 35:57Speaker 2: that sounds maybe sounds good. But to do the test
- 36:00Speaker 2: they take a sample and to get the results back
- 36:03Speaker 2: takes two weeks. It takes a couple of weeks to
- 36:06Speaker 2: get the test results. So that's kind of useless. City
- 36:09Speaker 2: council speaker Julie Mennon and others pointing out it was
- 36:12Speaker 2: the wrong response. The response was should have been to
- 36:15Speaker 2: order the immediate disinfecting of all the water tanks on
- 36:19Speaker 2: the upper east side. Just disinfect them. Now, the way
- 36:23Speaker 2: you get this Legionaire's disease on top of a building,
- 36:27Speaker 2: you got those old you know, sometimes it's the most
- 36:29Speaker 2: beautiful modern glass. But on top is that old wooden
- 36:33Speaker 2: petticoat junction looking water barrel on top, and that's got
- 36:39Speaker 2: water in it, and that's still water. It doesn't move
- 36:42Speaker 2: now in a heat wave. This is where we got it.
- 36:45Speaker 2: In those heat waves. When you have a real heat wave,
- 36:48Speaker 2: it heats up that water and that's where the Legionaire's
- 36:50Speaker 2: disease can start. That's where it's a Legionella bacteria can
- 36:54Speaker 2: grow in very very very hot, still water. So that's
- 36:58Speaker 2: what happened. Now we don't have any more heat waves
- 37:00Speaker 2: on the horizon, so we should be okay. But he
- 37:02Speaker 2: should have ordered all the buildings around that neighborhood to
- 37:07Speaker 2: immediately disinfect their tanks, not even wait for test results. Hey,
- 37:12Speaker 2: you know we always talk about these congress people senators
- 37:15Speaker 2: and congressmen and women and all the money they make
- 37:18Speaker 2: with the insider trading they're allowed to use insider trading.
- 37:22Speaker 2: If you're in Congress, you have access to all kinds
- 37:25Speaker 2: of inside information. You find out who's going to get
- 37:28Speaker 2: FDA approval before it's public. You find out testing results,
- 37:33Speaker 2: or who's going to get a big of a big
- 37:34Speaker 2: government contract. So you could start insider trading and make
- 37:39Speaker 2: a fortune. And that's what these people in Congress do.
- 37:43Speaker 2: The worst is probably Nancy Pelosi, who on a government
- 37:46Speaker 2: salary suddenly is worth six hundred million from the insider trading.
- 37:50Speaker 2: You know who's really bad that roe Kana. He's like
- 37:53Speaker 2: the Indian Adam Schiff row Kanna, who's another lying, thieving,
- 37:59Speaker 2: rotten Trump arrangement syndrome guy on all the Sunday shows.
- 38:03Speaker 2: There he's on MSNBC roe Conna insider trading government salary.
- 38:09Speaker 2: Suddenly he's worth sixty five million dollars. Been there two weeks,
- 38:13Speaker 2: he's worth sixty five million dollars. Now, listen to this guy.
- 38:18Speaker 2: This is a real He's like an atom shift, just
- 38:19Speaker 2: a real liar. Roe Conna claimed on his social media
- 38:25Speaker 2: roe Conna said, I do not own or trade stocks.
- 38:29Speaker 2: I have led the fight to ban stock trading. I
- 38:33Speaker 2: do not own or trade stocks. Well, it turns out
- 38:39Speaker 2: his household traded stocks four seven hundred and seventy two times,
- 38:44Speaker 2: almost five thousand times. Now it's his household, so I
- 38:49Speaker 2: guess what he does. He gets the inside information. He
- 38:51Speaker 2: has his wife, his cousin, and his brother, his son
- 38:55Speaker 2: puts the trades in their names, but he did it
- 38:57Speaker 2: five thousand times. So this is horrible. Now here's the
- 39:01Speaker 2: good news that well, not great news. The House passed
- 39:06Speaker 2: a set of restrictions on stock trades stop these lawmakers
- 39:10Speaker 2: from doing this restricting. It's called the Stop Insider Trading Act.
- 39:15Speaker 2: And now this is just the House that I don't
- 39:18Speaker 2: think this will pass the Senate, so it doesn't mean much.
- 39:21Speaker 2: But the bill was passed in the House two hundred
- 39:25Speaker 2: and thirty two to one ninety eight. All Republicans voted
- 39:29Speaker 2: for it, but only thirteen Democrats. Now the Democrats will
- 39:33Speaker 2: argue that the reason they were against this bill is
- 39:35Speaker 2: they and they shouldn't have done this, but they snuck
- 39:38Speaker 2: into the bill voting fraud things that they stuck in
- 39:44Speaker 2: voter ID provisions that you have to have photo ID.
- 39:48Speaker 2: So they messed up the bill by sticking this stuff
- 39:50Speaker 2: in it. But it was a great success for the
- 39:53Speaker 2: House to pass this. If it got to the Senate,
- 39:55Speaker 2: I don't think it will pass, but it would stop
- 39:57Speaker 2: this insider trading. Here's Mike Johnson remindered.
- 40:00Speaker 4: This is what we did this week. The House Republicans
- 40:02Speaker 4: passed the Clean cr to keep the government funded responsibly
- 40:06Speaker 4: the Stop Insider Trading Act that bans lawmakers from trading
- 40:10Speaker 4: and buying individual stocks and from abusing their office for
- 40:14Speaker 4: financial gang. The NDAA to provide a much needed pay
- 40:18Speaker 4: raise for our troops and to rebuild the Arsenal of Freedom.
- 40:22Speaker 2: Yeah, see again, that's all good stuff, but it's a
- 40:24Speaker 2: problem when you mush them all up into one bill
- 40:27Speaker 2: makes it tough for some people. Hey, blood path at Disney,
- 40:32Speaker 2: massive layoffs at Disney fired a lot of people. Looks
- 40:36Speaker 2: like a thousand people lost their jobs. This is not
- 40:39Speaker 2: the first time it's been cost cutting before at Disney.
- 40:43Speaker 2: A lot of people out Disney Entertainment, Television, ESPN, Disney Studios, Pixar,
- 40:52Speaker 2: a lot of people let go. The new CEO says,
- 40:55Speaker 2: we're building a company that's more agile, better equipped for
- 41:00Speaker 2: how the business is changing. Cost cutting. Well, hey, it's
- 41:03Speaker 2: not just them. You know, people just don't watch TV anymore.
- 41:07Speaker 2: Primetime TV people don't watch it anymore. Daytime TV, they
- 41:10Speaker 2: don't watch it anymore. You know big primetime show years ago,
- 41:17Speaker 2: you know Law and Order in its heyday, or big
- 41:19Speaker 2: primetime show, you know NYPD Blue. You have twenty million
- 41:24Speaker 2: people watching now, big primetime show, two million people are watching,
- 41:29Speaker 2: so it's one tenth the audience they used to have.
- 41:31Speaker 2: So and the same thing with movies. You know, movie
- 41:33Speaker 2: theaters don't do the business they used to do that much.
- 41:36Speaker 2: A lot fewer movie theaters today, so it's just not
- 41:38Speaker 2: the same anymore. Hey, that weasel governor of New Jersey,
- 41:42Speaker 2: Mikey Sheryl, had to admit. Now, the President made that
- 41:47Speaker 2: speech about there was voter fraud and the recent elections
- 41:51Speaker 2: and all sorts of problems. Of course, the fake news
- 41:54Speaker 2: goes nuts. How dare he networks use their favorite phrase
- 41:58Speaker 2: without evidence? He said, without it evidence. Well, there's plenty
- 42:01Speaker 2: of evidence. And yesterday the governor New Jersey, Mikey Cheryl,
- 42:07Speaker 2: held a press conference to announce there was a lot
- 42:09Speaker 2: of voter fraud in New Jersey. She admitted to like
- 42:12Speaker 2: eight thousand non citizens voting. And that's what she's admitting to.
- 42:18Speaker 2: And people think, if that's what he's admitting to, why
- 42:21Speaker 2: would she even admit to that while she's trying to
- 42:22Speaker 2: get ahead of whatever's coming. And if she's admitting to
- 42:26Speaker 2: eight thousand, that means it's probably eighty thousand. She blamed
- 42:29Speaker 2: the vendor, the software vendor said it was the fault
- 42:32Speaker 2: of the software vendor. They had this software incorrect or something.
- 42:36Speaker 2: In other words, when you go to motor vehicle, I
- 42:38Speaker 2: don't know why they well I know why they do this.
- 42:40Speaker 2: When you go to motor vehicle to get your driver's
- 42:43Speaker 2: license or your car registration automatically sign you up to vote.
- 42:47Speaker 2: And under this software, it would sign you up even
- 42:50Speaker 2: if you weren't a citizen, even if you checked off
- 42:52Speaker 2: I'm not a citizen, it would register you to vote.
- 42:55Speaker 2: So she blamed the vendor in the software. Well, the
- 42:59Speaker 2: vendor came out yesterday afternoon and said that's absolutely not
- 43:03Speaker 2: the case. I mean it was the case. But she
- 43:05Speaker 2: said the government knew about it. New Jersey knew about it.
- 43:09Speaker 2: They approved that software, they were told what was happening.
- 43:14Speaker 2: They were informed that's what was happening. So she tried
- 43:17Speaker 2: to pin it on them. At one point, she even
- 43:19Speaker 2: tried to pin it on Trump. But and one thing
- 43:23Speaker 2: to point out, this started, This whole thing started the software.
- 43:26Speaker 2: The whole deal started under Governor Phil Murphy. Another sleeves ball,
- 43:31Speaker 2: but she inherited it. Maybe that's why she was willing
- 43:34Speaker 2: to get ahead of it, because she knows it's going
- 43:35Speaker 2: to be a Phil Murphy problem. She said. She's brought
- 43:40Speaker 2: in an outside group CSG to investigate. I don't know
- 43:44Speaker 2: who CSG is, but it sounds important. It's got initials,
- 43:48Speaker 2: must be something important, but they will investigate. Hey, So,
- 43:52Speaker 2: William Shatner and his daughter both announced that they had
- 43:55Speaker 2: stage four cancer. Now this is a few years ago,
- 43:59Speaker 2: and they beat It wasn't easy. It was a big fight,
- 44:02Speaker 2: but they got through stage four cancer, both of them.
- 44:05Speaker 2: And you know, I've always admired William Shatner. We have
- 44:08Speaker 2: him on the show now and then for a lot
- 44:10Speaker 2: of things. One, I mean, he's just a great guy,
- 44:12Speaker 2: a great character, but and a genius at career management.
- 44:17Speaker 2: His entire career. He just keeps going. You know a
- 44:19Speaker 2: lot of times the guy's in a big hit series
- 44:22Speaker 2: and then can't get anything going for the next thirty years.
- 44:24Speaker 2: He's always got something going on, whether it's singing or
- 44:28Speaker 2: books or whatever. He's always got something going on. And
- 44:33Speaker 2: he's tough. He's really tough. He got through the cancer
- 44:36Speaker 2: stage four he and his daughter, and the daughter, Melanie
- 44:39Speaker 2: talked about how her father told her about how to
- 44:43Speaker 2: fight through things. It's kind of trump like you just
- 44:45Speaker 2: no matter what you're hit with, just keep fighting. But
- 44:47Speaker 2: there's the daughter.
- 44:48Speaker 7: His response was like, I'm going to be fine.
- 44:51Speaker 12: You just weren't like steamroll like the way you do.
- 44:55Speaker 7: You just steamed roll through it like I'm stage five.
- 44:58Speaker 2: I don't believe I've got to truly, Yeah, just steamroll
- 45:02Speaker 2: through it and shatner. You know, people said, you're afraid.
- 45:07Speaker 2: Fear is blinding, Fear mitigates everything. Fear is it's a wall.
- 45:14Speaker 2: If you're told you're gonna die, well I better get
- 45:19Speaker 2: busy and do something. You better get busy. No time.
- 45:23Speaker 2: But now, Yeah, it's one of the things you got
- 45:27Speaker 2: to admire about Trump, love him or hate him. The
- 45:30Speaker 2: guy is fearless. You know. They used to talk about
- 45:33Speaker 2: even Nixon's enemies. Nixon, they would say, was so tough
- 45:37Speaker 2: no matter what he what he got hit with, he'd
- 45:39Speaker 2: battle his way back. He'd pick himself off off the
- 45:42Speaker 2: canvas and fight back. And but Trump has done that
- 45:46Speaker 2: a million times more. I mean, look what this guy
- 45:49Speaker 2: went through before the other year, before the election. Look
- 45:52Speaker 2: what he went through, gets arrested and indicted in four
- 45:56Speaker 2: different places. Can you I mentionine if you got arrested
- 45:58Speaker 2: and indicted. You're going on trial, facing prison. You're on trial,
- 46:02Speaker 2: you got to go to court. You've been indicted fifty two.
- 46:08Speaker 2: Imagine what you would feel like, which, well, okay, imagine
- 46:11Speaker 2: if that happened on four different cities at once, all
- 46:14Speaker 2: at the same time. You're on trial in pop Beach
- 46:16Speaker 2: for documents, you're on trial in Georgia for election this fraud.
- 46:20Speaker 2: Or you're on trial in New York for a charge
- 46:22Speaker 2: nobody can still figure out. You're being sued by egen carry.
- 46:26Speaker 2: You're in four courtrooms at all at the same time.
- 46:28Speaker 2: Talk about four d chests. You're fighting four major legal
- 46:31Speaker 2: battles at once. The guy never flinched, never even blinked.
- 46:37Speaker 2: It's an amazing talent to have to be that tough
- 46:40Speaker 2: to fight through anything like that. But he did it.
- 46:44Speaker 2: You got to admire that. It's pretty impressive. Hey, the
- 46:47Speaker 2: other thing with President Trump announced they're going to do
- 46:49Speaker 2: the Trump accounts. You know, we got Social Security, which
- 46:54Speaker 2: is a system that's about to collapse. It's almost out
- 46:57Speaker 2: of money. The Trump accounts a pretty good idea. When
- 46:59Speaker 2: you're when the baby is born, a thousand dollars government
- 47:03Speaker 2: puts one thousand dollars into an account. They put it
- 47:05Speaker 2: in a real solid investment s and P five hundred
- 47:09Speaker 2: that kind of stuff, and you can't take the money out.
- 47:12Speaker 2: It just keeps compounding and its Warren Buffett always says
- 47:16Speaker 2: the best way to get rich is invested money that
- 47:19Speaker 2: just keeps compounding. So by the time you're twenty one,
- 47:22Speaker 2: that thousand dollars could be a couple hundred, three hundred thousand, whatever.
- 47:26Speaker 2: You could use it for a college education, you could
- 47:28Speaker 2: leave it in there, it would by the time you're thirty,
- 47:31Speaker 2: it'd be a million dollars. It's a great idea. So
- 47:34Speaker 2: they started and Michael Dell is one of the big
- 47:37Speaker 2: backers of this. He donated some crazy number like one
- 47:40Speaker 2: hundred million to fund these things. But this is President
- 47:43Speaker 2: Trump on the Trump accounts.
- 47:44Speaker 10: And for decades Washington politicians gave our children absolutely nothing
- 47:49Speaker 10: but debt. But the Trump accounts were finally seeing and
- 47:53Speaker 10: ensuring that every young American gets a great start in
- 47:56Speaker 10: life and a really fair shot at the American dream,
- 47:59Speaker 10: which is what we all want.
- 48:01Speaker 5: They all aspire to that.
- 48:03Speaker 2: That's this is such a great thing. I was watching
- 48:06Speaker 2: MSNBC Struggle to tell you what's wrong with it? It's
- 48:09Speaker 2: so good. I think they were tried very hard to
- 48:12Speaker 2: tell you whether it's a bit, it's a horrible thing.
- 48:14Speaker 2: It's another Trump disaster today. They couldn't quite make the
- 48:17Speaker 2: case though. There's really no way to put that down. Hey,
- 48:20Speaker 2: we'll take some calls. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 48:24Speaker 2: seven ten is the number. Hey, make sure you follow
- 48:27Speaker 2: me on Instagram. Mark Simone NYC at Instagram, Mark Simone
- 48:32Speaker 2: NYC at Instagram. Oh, well, take some calls next eight
- 48:36Speaker 2: hundred and we want some new callers. If you haven't
- 48:39Speaker 2: called before, call us eight hundred three two one zero
- 48:43Speaker 2: seven ten. Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 48:48Speaker 1: Give woor. Oh, bre said on the iHeartRadio app to
- 48:51Speaker 1: hear Mark Simone and all the WOOR hosts in an instance.
- 48:56Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simon Show on wo.
- 49:02Speaker 2: Let's take some calls. Let's go to uh Bonnie and
- 49:05Speaker 2: Tom's River Bonnie. How you doing, Bonnie? Are you there?
- 49:11Speaker 12: Yeah?
- 49:12Speaker 3: Can you hear me?
- 49:13Speaker 2: Yeah? Go ahead?
- 49:15Speaker 3: Was Donald Trump ever on with Johnny Carson? And did
- 49:19Speaker 3: Johnny Carson like him?
- 49:23Speaker 2: That's a very good question. Well, yeah, Johnny Carson loved
- 49:25Speaker 2: him because guess where Johnny Carson had an apartment in
- 49:28Speaker 2: New York Trump Tower, Trump Tower. That's right, the apartment there.
- 49:34Speaker 2: I'm trying to remember now. Of course he was on
- 49:36Speaker 2: with Letterman a many, many, many many times Carson went
- 49:40Speaker 2: off the ear ninety two. Yeah, I'll have to check
- 49:43Speaker 2: on that. I'll have to check on that. But of
- 49:44Speaker 2: course many Letterman appearances. And Letterman loved him. Everybody loved him.
- 49:48Speaker 2: Colbert loved him and was fawning all over him. Then
- 49:50Speaker 2: the day he ran for office, all of a sudden
- 49:52Speaker 2: these guys hated him. But a good question. We'll check
- 49:55Speaker 2: on that. Let's go to Chris in Manhattan. Chris, how
- 49:58Speaker 2: you doing doing good?
- 50:01Speaker 8: Listen?
- 50:01Speaker 15: I want to talk about il han Omar and because
- 50:04Speaker 15: we're running out of time if nothing happens, let.
- 50:07Speaker 2: Me point out that is a PanicIn everything. He's always
- 50:11Speaker 2: in panic where it's a disaster, everything's going to go bad. No,
- 50:14Speaker 2: what are you panicking about? Now?
- 50:16Speaker 15: Okay, what's ill hand? Did she marry her brother or not?
- 50:20Speaker 15: Is she involved in the in the Medicare scandals?
- 50:23Speaker 8: There?
- 50:23Speaker 15: I just don't add that she's running. She's running on
- 50:25Speaker 15: universal school meals, green new deal, cancel school debt, abolish ice.
- 50:30Speaker 15: Those are her platforms. Why is nobody going after and
- 50:34Speaker 15: saying definitively that she did not marry her brother, she
- 50:37Speaker 15: did not commit him aggression.
- 50:39Speaker 2: Which she is under investigation waiting for.
- 50:42Speaker 15: It's been so long you got panicking.
- 50:46Speaker 2: That's the way it works with these investigations. They take
- 50:49Speaker 2: six months, eight months, they're not three days. That's what
- 50:52Speaker 2: it takes to calm down. Calm down, I.
- 50:55Speaker 15: Mean, first Obama placed all those homologies. Leasure within the.
- 51:00Speaker 2: Gate where you live? Do you have a window? All right?
- 51:04Speaker 2: Look outside, it's eighty it's Sunny's most beautiful day.
- 51:06Speaker 8: In the world. I enjoy the day.
- 51:08Speaker 2: Calm down, Go in the park at Central Park, enjoy yourself.
- 51:12Speaker 2: Stop worrying about it. Let's go to Dave in Chicago. Dave,
- 51:18Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 51:19Speaker 12: Good morning, Mark.
- 51:20Speaker 3: I'm doing very well. Thank you.
- 51:21Speaker 8: Mark.
- 51:22Speaker 16: We know from your Steve Moore interview that there is
- 51:25Speaker 16: a shortage of the memory chips and Apple has increased
- 51:29Speaker 16: the prices. Is this going to apply to new cars?
- 51:33Speaker 16: And lastly, do we have any information on the next
- 51:36Speaker 16: generation of iPhones?
- 51:39Speaker 2: Yes, we do. A word is they are going to
- 51:42Speaker 2: do the foldable phone where there's can be the regular phones,
- 51:45Speaker 2: and then the one. We unfold it and it's twice
- 51:47Speaker 2: the size of a screen. Uh, that's pretty good. Battery
- 51:51Speaker 2: life a lot longer in the new one. They're going
- 51:54Speaker 2: to make it a little thicker, you know, usually make
- 51:56Speaker 2: them thinner. Its gonna be a little thicker. That's the
- 51:58Speaker 2: way to get a lot more battery power in there.
- 52:00Speaker 2: That's all we know so far. It's the iPhone eighteen.
- 52:03Speaker 2: It'll be out in September. Good question. Let's go to Jerry, Greenwich, Connecticut. Jerry,
- 52:08Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 52:10Speaker 3: I'm doing well. Thank you, Mark, thank you for taking
- 52:12Speaker 3: my call. Uh, James. The lyrical from Texas it claims
- 52:17Speaker 3: there is six genders with gender you see. I never
- 52:21Speaker 3: know what the gender he see.
- 52:23Speaker 2: Uh, well, that question I can't answer. I don't think
- 52:25Speaker 2: he knows either. But it is six or I thought
- 52:27Speaker 2: they have twelve genders. Now every time it's lgbt Q.
- 52:32Speaker 2: Now it's l g P t Q X A B
- 52:34Speaker 2: C seven.
- 52:35Speaker 3: He never declared the word gender he sees it.
- 52:38Speaker 2: I don't know, you really care what gender he is?
- 52:41Speaker 3: I don't care either, but you know.
- 52:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't worry about it. But when he wants
- 52:44Speaker 2: to go, when he wants to go to the restroom.
- 52:46Speaker 2: It's a real tlema. He doesn't even know where to go.
- 52:48Speaker 2: It's a I mean, listen, this just gets nuttier and
- 52:51Speaker 2: nuttier and nuttier. But it's it's it's great for it's
- 52:55Speaker 2: great for for Republicans. It's just going to help them
- 52:59Speaker 2: in the fall. Let's go to uh Richard in New Jersey. Richard,
- 53:03Speaker 2: how you doing, SKay park?
- 53:06Speaker 14: Oh?
- 53:07Speaker 2: I was like, I like a guy. It sounds hey.
- 53:11Speaker 3: I just want to say, I just want to say
- 53:12Speaker 3: thank you. You're you're a terrific host. And you talk
- 53:14Speaker 3: about the problems with the bunker Busters and whynot why
- 53:19Speaker 3: not you seal off all the entrances.
- 53:21Speaker 2: Well, as I said, we're doing that.
- 53:24Speaker 3: Oh that's good. All right.
- 53:25Speaker 2: It's just let's hear dinging and banging and what are
- 53:28Speaker 2: you doing right now? That it sounds like a car.
- 53:30Speaker 3: On my way to see my ninety nine year old
- 53:32Speaker 3: mother in the hospital and I had to get the
- 53:35Speaker 3: ticket out of the boost of paper parking, so I
- 53:39Speaker 3: had to lean out of the car and it's just walk.
- 53:41Speaker 3: Start anyway on a Friday, when you take off, why
- 53:44Speaker 3: don't you get vincent?
- 53:46Speaker 2: Well, I don't know that Vincent wants to do it,
- 53:47Speaker 2: we'll ask him, Uh, hey, where you're great, where you're parking,
- 53:52Speaker 2: you got to get like an actual paper ticket comes
- 53:54Speaker 2: out of a machine.
- 53:55Speaker 3: I got to get a paper ticket after paper parking
- 53:58Speaker 3: to go see somebody in the hospital.
- 53:59Speaker 2: Go figure. But you would think it would be bluetooth everywhere.
- 54:02Speaker 2: You wouldn't have to get an actual payper ticket, you know,
- 54:04Speaker 2: and thanks thanks for calling. You know these shopping malls
- 54:07Speaker 2: where you got to pay the park and you got
- 54:09Speaker 2: to get a ticket and then or if you buy something,
- 54:11Speaker 2: they'll stamp it and then you got to go out
- 54:14Speaker 2: and pay it a toll. But these shopping malls, get
- 54:16Speaker 2: rid of that. All these malls are empty. They're desperate
- 54:20Speaker 2: for business. Stop charging people to park in there. It's
- 54:23Speaker 2: not even the money, it's just the waiting in line
- 54:25Speaker 2: to get out. Stop it at those shopping malls. Just
- 54:28Speaker 2: in fact. You know what, We'll give you five dollars
- 54:31Speaker 2: if you come to the mall. That would be better.
- 54:34Speaker 2: Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing, Good.
- 54:37Speaker 8: Morning, Mark Buck. I would gladly host the show for
- 54:40Speaker 8: a day. I'd even join after and say, Mack, come on,
- 54:44Speaker 8: tell the truth. They sent you to new iPhone eighteen
- 54:48Speaker 8: to try out, right.
- 54:49Speaker 2: Nope, yet not yet.
- 54:51Speaker 8: Oh well, next month, Mark, Before you you mentioned that
- 54:55Speaker 8: sixty eight million people watched the soccer game in the
- 54:58Speaker 8: United States worldwide over three hundred million because all of
- 55:03Speaker 8: my friends in Europe, in Italy and elsewhere were watching
- 55:08Speaker 8: the game, and they also had money on the game.
- 55:11Speaker 8: But unfortunately for the viewers here, that was part of
- 55:16Speaker 8: spain strategy. They knew Argentina was the strong team, so
- 55:20Speaker 8: what they decided to do was not let Argentina get
- 55:24Speaker 8: the ball and just here and there take opportunistic shot
- 55:29Speaker 8: goal shots. That was their strategy.
- 55:31Speaker 2: But visit, what kind of game is this where three
- 55:34Speaker 2: hours nobody scores? What kind of game is that?
- 55:36Speaker 8: I look, Mark, all of my friends said the same thing,
- 55:40Speaker 8: and all of them unfortunately lost money because they thought
- 55:45Speaker 8: that Argentina was going to pull it out of the
- 55:48Speaker 8: hat at the last minute. But you're right, Mark, that
- 55:51Speaker 8: was one of the most boring games I have ever seen.
- 55:56Speaker 8: The best World Cup was in twenty between Italy and France,
- 56:02Speaker 8: where when you're told the time, there was even some fisticuffs.
- 56:06Speaker 2: On the little fighting gave me a.
- 56:09Speaker 8: Like American hockey. That's what we want to see.
- 56:11Speaker 2: That's good, Vincent, great point. Thanks for explaining all that
- 56:15Speaker 2: to us. Hey, when we come back, Charlie Gasparino will
- 56:18Speaker 2: be with us. He's got a lot to say about
- 56:19Speaker 2: Mom Donnie New York Business. We'll get to that next
- 56:23Speaker 2: on seven to ten. Wo R.
- 56:25Speaker 13: It's more on Mark the Mark Simonia.
- 56:28Speaker 2: I'm wr well. Charlie Gasprino the best business reporter in
- 56:34Speaker 2: the world. And Hey, make sure you get his book,
- 56:37Speaker 2: Go Woke, Go Broke. You'll love this book, big best seller,
- 56:41Speaker 2: Go Woke, Go Broke by Charlie Gasprina. Course you can
- 56:44Speaker 2: read all his columns. You can watch them all over television,
- 56:46Speaker 2: Fox Business UH and FoxBusiness dot Com. You can get
- 56:50Speaker 2: his columns there. Charlie Gasparino, how you doing, Judy?
- 56:54Speaker 3: What's happening?
- 56:55Speaker 12: Mark?
- 56:56Speaker 2: I don't know. You tell me that Go Woke, Go
- 56:59Speaker 2: Broke is a great book. Do we need to send
- 57:01Speaker 2: a copy to everybody in New York and remind them
- 57:04Speaker 2: of what could happen with Mom Donnie?
- 57:06Speaker 12: Oh? I mean this is I mean Mondanni unfortunately is
- 57:10Speaker 12: beyond woke. I mean, this is pretty much hardline socialism, communism.
- 57:15Speaker 12: I don't you know, it sounds like it sounds like overly.
- 57:21Speaker 12: You know, I'm being I'm being like sort of too
- 57:23Speaker 12: much here when I call them a communist, I am
- 57:26Speaker 12: I really I mean am I am? I over am
- 57:28Speaker 12: iagerating this What he's trying to do here, What he says,
- 57:32Speaker 12: how we how we promote certain things is idiocy with
- 57:37Speaker 12: net Nyahu. He wants to rest them. Is this like
- 57:40Speaker 12: this this guy has missed the third world is wrapped
- 57:44Speaker 12: up in a smile, and it's it's actually quite scary.
- 57:48Speaker 2: But all the great business leaders of New York, you know,
- 57:50Speaker 2: all these guys, what is their strategy? Just wait them
- 57:53Speaker 2: out or just remember.
- 57:55Speaker 12: They're so rich and they're so diversified. You know, it
- 57:59Speaker 12: doesn't you know, what he does almost doesn't matter to
- 58:02Speaker 12: these guys, right, I mean when it comes to just
- 58:05Speaker 12: from a personal standpoint, they all have tons of security.
- 58:08Speaker 12: They don't rely on the cops that much. They have
- 58:11Speaker 12: homes in Florida, you know they they or wherever you know,
- 58:15Speaker 12: you know, Jackson Hole, you know that they're there, So
- 58:20Speaker 12: it doesn't really matter there. Their companies have diversified a
- 58:24Speaker 12: lot out of New York already, So some of this
- 58:27Speaker 12: is not really They're they're they're sort of shielded from
- 58:31Speaker 12: some of this. Obviously, they have big presence here in
- 58:33Speaker 12: New York. Still, it still is what it is. But
- 58:38Speaker 12: you know, so they look at this as playing a
- 58:40Speaker 12: long game. I think one of the problems they have
- 58:43Speaker 12: is that they they've been playing the long game now
- 58:45Speaker 12: for a long time. And what they haven't realized is
- 58:48Speaker 12: that the Democratic Socialists the Communists have actually taken over
- 58:52Speaker 12: government in many ways. You know, they're all in the Albany,
- 58:56Speaker 12: you know, they control they control the state legislature more
- 58:58Speaker 12: more or less. They basically tell Governor Holkle, who's supposed
- 59:02Speaker 12: to be a moderate, what to do, and she does it.
- 59:04Speaker 12: And now they have a perch in New York City
- 59:06Speaker 12: and it's you know, in the mayor in Gracie Mansion.
- 59:10Speaker 12: And it's pretty scary. And I don't know what to
- 59:15Speaker 12: do because I don't think there's a solution other than leaving.
- 59:20Speaker 12: To be honest with you, I just don't think when
- 59:22Speaker 12: you import as many people as we imported in this country,
- 59:25Speaker 12: and that critically stated that domicile here in New York
- 59:29Speaker 12: from the Third World, you know, socialism and communism is
- 59:33Speaker 12: kind of you know, what they're used to, and of
- 59:36Speaker 12: course they want benefits. And those people are start you know,
- 59:40Speaker 12: are now voting their citizens, and so they've changed the
- 59:44Speaker 12: political dynamic here. I mean, we have a lot of
- 59:46Speaker 12: third world people in this city and that is the
- 59:50Speaker 12: that is and this is what they what they want,
- 59:53Speaker 12: and Mondamie is preaching to them. If you combine them
- 59:56Speaker 12: with these you know, white lefties that come from all
- 1:00:00Speaker 12: over the country, it's the same. It's the same thing.
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: Yeah, But you can't talk about leaving. That's uh, I mean,
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: that's gonna make the whole thing worse. That's what happens.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: If people leave. You got to stay and fight it.
- 1:00:12Speaker 12: Well, if you know, listen, I've read some sue you
- 1:00:17Speaker 12: don't stay and fight when you're when you have you know,
- 1:00:19Speaker 12: astronomical odds against you, you cut and run and fight
- 1:00:23Speaker 12: for another day. The best way to fight this, I
- 1:00:25Speaker 12: think is to leave. I don't think it is to stay,
- 1:00:29Speaker 12: because I just think it's not that you're you're just again,
- 1:00:32Speaker 12: you're just you know, pushing against it. An unmovable object
- 1:00:36Speaker 12: right now, which is an electorate that is so far
- 1:00:39Speaker 12: to the left that you know, we can sit here
- 1:00:41Speaker 12: and complain about it. And and by the way, it's
- 1:00:44Speaker 12: good for your ratings. You know, this is you know,
- 1:00:46Speaker 12: Yo and and Fox and and TV is often a
- 1:00:49Speaker 12: niche business that you want to you know, you want
- 1:00:52Speaker 12: to attract certain people. But you know, just the trend
- 1:00:55Speaker 12: is not your friend here. So I'm very typistic here.
- 1:01:00Speaker 12: And and on top of it all, you know, you
- 1:01:03Speaker 12: do have a propaganda machine at work here in most
- 1:01:06Speaker 12: of the media, I mean MONDMMI is proposing some of
- 1:01:09Speaker 12: the real dumbest stuff in the world, except in the
- 1:01:12Speaker 12: New York Post, my newspaper. What who's covering what?
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the problem.
- 1:01:18Speaker 12: What is the Times doing? I mean what is the
- 1:01:21Speaker 12: Times is kind of cheering him on?
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: But you get.
- 1:01:24Speaker 12: You did you read that Softball interview?
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it was the dumbest thing in the world.
- 1:01:30Speaker 12: He couldn't define middle working class. She barely pressed him
- 1:01:34Speaker 12: on it. He couldn't. He said he was going to
- 1:01:36Speaker 12: arrest net yea when he has when yah is diplomatic immunity.
- 1:01:39Speaker 12: I mean even I know that, and I'm just in
- 1:01:42Speaker 12: order and just and then he then he talks about
- 1:01:45Speaker 12: capital flight. I found that very interesting. There hasn't been
- 1:01:48Speaker 12: capital flight yet well, if he knows anything about capital flight,
- 1:01:51Speaker 12: it's like bankruptcy, right, it happens gradually then all of
- 1:01:54Speaker 12: a sudden, and you know there is there is there
- 1:01:58Speaker 12: are warning signs for capitalist light right now. Obviously capital
- 1:02:02Speaker 12: is leaving. People are leaving. Now you're going to rich
- 1:02:04Speaker 12: it at some point it gets so bad where there's
- 1:02:06Speaker 12: a tipping point where you can't pay your bills, and
- 1:02:08Speaker 12: that could happen. You see it in UNI bond prices.
- 1:02:11Speaker 12: By the way, Muni bond prices of New York City
- 1:02:14Speaker 12: UNI bonds should be going up if there was a
- 1:02:16Speaker 12: normal guy raising taxes and doing whatever, you know, keeping
- 1:02:19Speaker 12: New York City government big as it's been. You know,
- 1:02:22Speaker 12: this has been a socialist government. You know, even when
- 1:02:24Speaker 12: Rudy was running things, it wasn't exactly free market capitalism,
- 1:02:29Speaker 12: you know, but you should be. People should be flocking
- 1:02:32Speaker 12: to New York City bonds because they're triple tax free.
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:02:34Speaker 12: Yeah, we're not getting that. I'm looking at it. Week
- 1:02:37Speaker 12: by week. We're starting to get spikes and yields, which
- 1:02:39Speaker 12: means the prices are going down. That means less people
- 1:02:42Speaker 12: are buying these things. And that I listen, I checked
- 1:02:45Speaker 12: this week to week. Then you know, it's the long
- 1:02:49Speaker 12: term you got to look at. But you know, since
- 1:02:50Speaker 12: he's been off in office, bond prices, bond yields have
- 1:02:53Speaker 12: been up. They stabilized a little bit when he bounced
- 1:02:56Speaker 12: the budget. Even if it was a you know, crappy balance,
- 1:02:59Speaker 12: it would eight and some gimmick with detention fund. But
- 1:03:04Speaker 12: you know, it's stabilized, and now it's back to you know,
- 1:03:07Speaker 12: you see rising yields, lower prices. Rising yields means people
- 1:03:11Speaker 12: are demanding more return for their bonds. That means the
- 1:03:14Speaker 12: price is going down because they're worried about, you know,
- 1:03:19Speaker 12: what this guy is doing. And again it should be
- 1:03:21Speaker 12: going up because he's raising taxes, but they're worried about
- 1:03:24Speaker 12: the other side. You know, what type of governments is
- 1:03:27Speaker 12: he doing? It will ultimately be able to afford it?
- 1:03:30Speaker 12: Is it worth lending the city money for ten years?
- 1:03:33Speaker 12: That's kind of the calculation that people are doing because
- 1:03:37Speaker 12: the trend in New York City politically isn't just not good.
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know, all who.
- 1:03:44Speaker 12: Is the loyal Republican opposition to Mondahmi right now?
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: Well, the best thing on the horizon Bruce Blakeman, who's
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: got a chance to be elected governor. Wouldn't that be
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: a turning point?
- 1:03:54Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 1:03:54Speaker 12: He would be great. He would be great. But I
- 1:03:56Speaker 12: you know, I was talking to Governor DeSantis about this.
- 1:04:00Speaker 12: We both agree, Bruce Brake Blakeman's a really smart guy
- 1:04:02Speaker 12: and he's level headed. You know, he's clearly not a
- 1:04:05Speaker 12: far right winger or anything like that. He's a typical
- 1:04:08Speaker 12: conservative New York conservative. And with DeSantis told me, and
- 1:04:14Speaker 12: it kind of brings true, is a lot of tax
- 1:04:16Speaker 12: payer players. The payers have left and they're moving to Florida, Carolina,
- 1:04:24Speaker 12: And so his base has been eroded because of this nonsense.
- 1:04:27Speaker 12: So I just he has an uphill battle. Listen, I
- 1:04:30Speaker 12: hope he wins. You know, I'm praying for him to win.
- 1:04:34Speaker 12: I know Bruce a little bit. He's a smart guy.
- 1:04:36Speaker 12: He'd be a great governor. Yeah, and he'd be he'd
- 1:04:39Speaker 12: be the loyal opposition to Mondomie. But like on a
- 1:04:42Speaker 12: city level, though, who do we have we have nobody?
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, you're speaking that. We're talking Charlie Gasp's speaking
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: to Desantus. He's term limited out. Now, what is his
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: next move? Where do you think he goes?
- 1:04:55Speaker 12: You know, I did ask him that I interviewed him
- 1:04:58Speaker 12: at the Milken Conference back in May. Uh, you know,
- 1:05:03Speaker 12: everything's up in the air, you know, he you know,
- 1:05:06Speaker 12: he didn't rule out a presidential run. By the way,
- 1:05:11Speaker 12: the guy is such a great operational governor, right, he
- 1:05:15Speaker 12: knows how to run. You could see him being on
- 1:05:19Speaker 12: any board of any major company. Would watch this guy.
- 1:05:22Speaker 12: I mean, he can make a few bucks. He's in
- 1:05:23Speaker 12: government most of his life, most of his professional life,
- 1:05:27Speaker 12: I should say. But you know there's always rumors about
- 1:05:31Speaker 12: him being on the Supreme Court.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: Supreme really so the guy.
- 1:05:37Speaker 12: The guy's really smart. I mean fit down with five minutes.
- 1:05:41Speaker 8: I mean he's.
- 1:05:43Speaker 12: Question before you even I mean, he just knows stuff.
- 1:05:46Speaker 12: He's really sharp. He's Yeah, Supreme Court might not be
- 1:05:49Speaker 12: for him because you know you can see his eyes.
- 1:05:52Speaker 12: He's incredibly ambitious. I mean I just saw it like
- 1:05:55Speaker 12: piercing this to this guy. This guy is really ambitious.
- 1:05:59Speaker 12: But you know, I think everything's kind of on the table,
- 1:06:02Speaker 12: including running for president again. I you know, he didn't.
- 1:06:06Speaker 12: The problem with him is that you know, you know,
- 1:06:09Speaker 12: he doesn't get this stick, although he's getting better at
- 1:06:12Speaker 12: you know, in Trump. So it was not easy and
- 1:06:17Speaker 12: this was his first time before in the national spotlight.
- 1:06:21Speaker 12: But he would make a great president, and just he
- 1:06:24Speaker 12: knows how to run things, and he's really smart, you know.
- 1:06:29Speaker 12: I think it's all on the table. And you know,
- 1:06:31Speaker 12: the world's his oyster. He's what forty five or something,
- 1:06:34Speaker 12: it was forty, isn't he.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: Yeah. So, and what happens to Florida? You need a
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: good governor to continue the success they've had down there.
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: Well, I think they have.
- 1:06:47Speaker 12: They have a good bench there. I mean, you know,
- 1:06:49Speaker 12: one of the interesting things that all these Southerners complain
- 1:06:52Speaker 12: about is that when Republicans, when Northerners moved to the South,
- 1:06:58Speaker 12: they turned the state or liberal. Yeah, just the opposite.
- 1:07:03Speaker 12: Well clearly in Florida, just the opposite happened, right, it
- 1:07:05Speaker 12: became more conservative when New Yorkers ran moved down there,
- 1:07:09Speaker 12: because these are the conservative New Yorkers that went down there.
- 1:07:13Speaker 12: So I think they do have a good bench and
- 1:07:16Speaker 12: they you know, Byron Donald is a smart guy. I
- 1:07:18Speaker 12: know him. I think he's running for governor.
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07:21Speaker 12: I don't know who who DeSantis is endorsed, to be honest,
- 1:07:25Speaker 12: you haven't paid attention to it, but I know Byron's
- 1:07:28Speaker 12: a smart guy. He's a conservative, he's no wimp. You know,
- 1:07:33Speaker 12: I think he filled the anthesis. Shoes just fine, I think.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: All right. Well, Charlie Gasparino, great stuff as always. And hey, everybody,
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: get his book, Go Walke.
- 1:07:43Speaker 12: Go Broke.
