- 0:43[SPEAKER_01]: Today, I'm joined by Joanna Lourant, an inspiring founder of positive phrases, a movement rooted in the belief that words hold the power to heal, uplift, and transform lives.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_01]: Raised in Brooklyn, Joanna learned the value of resilience and gratitude early on.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_01]: With over 12,000 books sold, 25,000 followers on TikTok and appearances on media outlets across the country, Joanna's mission is simple but profound to help people ship their mindset and discover the joy of living in alignment with their words and intentions.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_01]: Joanna, welcome to daily influence.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so excited to dive in your story and the movement you've built.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm so grateful that you created this space for me to share.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you very much.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: You're welcome, Johanna.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_01]: Can you share a bit about your background and what led you to create positive phrases and become a such a powerful advocate for positivity and self-reflection?
- 1:41[SPEAKER_02]: My search for getting this mission in life.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_02]: not missing it and doing it to the best possible grandeur that I possibly could.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_02]: I was so committed to getting it right, getting it like having I always will go God, I just want to get it right.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_02]: I want to be a 100% service in this lifetime.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_02]: Show me the way.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_02]: And that that pretty much will drop me and my, I have this extra, I have extraordinary parents.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_02]: My mom taught me the gratitude, she just taught me gratitude and my dad showed me the importance of making a difference.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_02]: And it's funny, because they didn't even realize they were teaching me that.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_02]: They were being that.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_02]: And through all the false like the things that I think they might have written better, but they just weren't aware, they did that so well.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_02]: that it may mean gravity, love them, give them and create an extraordinary relationship by them being their greatness.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_01]: I love that, you know, from your journey and the communities you've built.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_01]: What if you learned about the impact of our words and not only on others, but on our own growth in mindset?
- 3:07[SPEAKER_02]: I've learned that negative words and when you say something that's hurtful to someone, it does not just remain for that moment, sometimes it can last a lifetime.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_02]: And that effect also has it in a positive effect.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_02]: If you say something powerful, encouraging, beautiful, loving to someone, those words might get them through their hardest moments in life.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_02]: So I understand totally what words,
- 3:48[SPEAKER_02]: mean.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_02]: So we have to be so mindful, so conscious.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_02]: And I realize that because when I will be going to something very difficult, I will see a word.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_02]: One word, maybe one or two words.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_02]: And it will shift me.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_02]: And it will let me know that the universe had my back.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_02]: The somehow, some way I attracted that to keep going.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_02]: So because it did such great things in my life, I wanted to make sure that I didn't leave this world without sharing that with others because everyone is deserving of a great life.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_01]: that is so true, you know.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: Our IN team series talks about responsible influence and being intentional with how we affect others.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_01]: How do you see the responsibility of influence showing up in your work and the positive phrases movement?
- 4:41[SPEAKER_02]: to be mindful of when I'm in a bad mood, when I'm feeling insecure, when I'm up against it, that I take some time to heal myself, find discover what's going on versus just be so irresponsible and just go out there and project and hurt someone.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_02]: Because I'm not willing to take a work and say, I am accountable for why I'm feeling like this.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_02]: And if I could take this moment and find out what's causing and healing, that needs it.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_02]: My energy is going out there as a healing boss versus my own security or my own angle, hatred that I could have inside that I don't realize it.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, once you know,
- 5:28[SPEAKER_02]: you have to be responsible.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_02]: It's like it's okay to be a certain way.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's okay.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_02]: You can get forgiven, but once you're taught, once the universe has revealed that you are 100 accountable for your life and that you're responsible, you really must take ownership of that.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_01]: So true, we definitely have to take care of ourselves so we could be out there in the best others.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_01]: Can you tell us about a moment or experience where you thought you made a positive impact on someone's life through your words, your books, or your platform?
- 6:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, wow.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's not anything God.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_02]: They are, um, you don't realize that, okay, let me, oh, my daughter, she's having a moment and she said to me, mom, mom, you know, and I go, did you open the book today?
- 6:22[SPEAKER_02]: Did you open the book I created?
- 6:24[SPEAKER_02]: Cause it's a tool, it's not a book, it's a tool.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_02]: Like, keep telling her that and she goes, oh, mom, everything in there is positive.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_02]: I was like,
- 6:32[SPEAKER_02]: point.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_02]: The point is for you not to stay in that in that spiral, so you don't waste a moment of the gift of life.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_02]: And you know she's like, oh, mom, you're right.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't want to, I was thinking like, wait, why would I want to get a positive word?
- 6:52[SPEAKER_02]: But that's what I need.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_02]: And it made it like, you know when you, it's like that common sense that we sometimes forget, because sometimes it's just a reminder, like of that words are impactful.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_02]: It's just a reminder we need.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_02]: We all know that.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_02]: It's just like a reminder, so yes, you know, I sometimes people go into very, very difficult things, like they lose a child, something big, right?
- 7:20[SPEAKER_02]: And you can't go there with like positivity and all.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_02]: You have to be careful, you have to be very, very authentic when you're using your words, your courage, others.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_02]: At all point, and especially,
- 7:34[SPEAKER_02]: when they're up against something very big.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_02]: Because if you just go there like, oh, just you know, it's gonna be okay.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_02]: No, wait, let them have their moment.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_02]: Let them share their grief.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_02]: And if an opportunity happens at that moment that they're sharing for you to say one or two words to enlighten the light within them to it,
- 8:04[SPEAKER_02]: and wait for that moment that they can hear you.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: So that's very important.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_02]: And I've had a lot of big friends with that.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_02]: It would be very careful with that.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that is so true.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_01]: Your pocket size books, everything is perfect and stop both carry powerful messages and such simple language.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_01]: How do you choose which messages to share and what inspires them?
- 8:27[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so all through all my life, how are you taking like 20 years, you know, I would just get, I would have certain words with land on me or I was up against something and I would see one or two words and I would be like, oh, it shipped me so I would write it down and just put it away in my office and then all of a sudden, like,
- 8:52[SPEAKER_02]: I have created a pocket-side book before that, but the urgency of getting it done, because he's the one that taught me about the importance of making a difference.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_02]: I want him to see it in this like, if it's, if it's the well right of showing, you know, I read the book book with him of showing him that we're here to make a difference and I need it pocket side because I wanted it to be accessible for people because you don't know when you're going to, you don't know when you're going to get it.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_02]: You don't know, usually nowadays, you can be scrolling to TikTok or anything, any social media, something could just pop up, but you don't control it and bring you down or start or you will ship your great energy that you're going to have a great day, maybe both you to the past.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_02]: You know, sometimes the past will take you to that, what it should occur in the world or it could force you to think about the future and that could cause anxiety.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_02]: give something to people that they can use as a tool.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_02]: reset, reset yourself and get back into your positive light so that you can continue creating an amazing day lifetime moment.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_02]: So because you're energy and I get a lot of testing with this because your energy will always be the perfect word for the moment.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_02]: You want to try it, you have the
- 10:28[SPEAKER_02]: and share with us, keep moving forward.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, how does that resonate for you at this very moment in your life?
- 10:39[SPEAKER_01]: We always have a lot going on here.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's just a good reminder that they keep moving forward through the things that we have on our plates.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, right?
- 10:51[SPEAKER_02]: I love when I get that, that you're on it.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_02]: Keep it going.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_02]: Keep it going.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_02]: Or sometimes if I feel stuck, like how's it's gonna turn out?
- 10:58[SPEAKER_02]: I know I'm hoping of the book and this keep going is here too.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's like keep going.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_02]: Or sometimes it could be,
- 11:05[SPEAKER_02]: I'm scared, you know, I'm scared of what am I creating?
- 11:09[SPEAKER_02]: It's really going to pan out for me.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_02]: And I'll open up is that you deserve to win or it'll always be.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_02]: And I made sure that every word in here go straight to your soul.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_02]: Like, it ignites that light lives in all of us.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_02]: It makes it shine brighter.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_02]: It never did.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_02]: I was very, very cautious of what I put in here.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_02]: because I wanted to make sure that on one shoulder next, I was enriching lives, not hurting.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely, thank you for sharing that.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_01]: In today's digital world, tools like AI or shape and communication, are you using AI in your creative processes or your business?
- 11:52[SPEAKER_01]: And if so, how do you balance technology with authenticity and human connection?
- 11:58[SPEAKER_02]: If I use AI, like creating an email or something, and I think you help me create the email, or something, this is what I want to say, I'll begin it.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_02]: And if it doesn't, if it's not fruitful, what the message I'm responsible for editing and making sure that whatever I'm sending, whatever I'm speaking, whatever video content I'm creating, that I 100% believe it.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_02]: and must own myself in order for me to release it.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_02]: AI is great, but you have to understand that you are the creator of what you create through AI.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_02]: Don't let it create you, you use it as a tool to expand your vision or what you want to get, what message you want to get out there.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_02]: Very important to always understand and know you are the
- 13:05[SPEAKER_02]: The biggest creator of all, you are the magic, the minute you let go of that, you start diminishing and you won't be the greatness that you can be and another beautiful thing about that is that when you own that, you can see it in others.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_02]: Because you're more you love yourself, the happier, the more you are who you are, you are judgment stops, your hate dissolves.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_01]: That is so true.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_01]: For our listeners who are striving to leave a kindness and tension in positivity, what message are words of encouragement?
- 13:48[SPEAKER_01]: Would you like to share to help them make a positive difference in the world around them?
- 13:53[SPEAKER_02]: If it's difficult for you to really allow that kindness and love, to come out of you, then take a moment to realize it could be just hurt that you have inside of you.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_02]: And you want to find a way to either forgive others yourself or begin to love something about yourself so that that can grow and then you can release it those of you that are kind and how that energy then you need to step it up.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_02]: step it up to help those that are up against releasing their kindness and their love.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_02]: Because you, if you want to think about me, when I see goodness or kindness or a good deed, I get so happy and it brings out more in me.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_02]: So those of you that are happy don't feel shameful that you have a great life and don't don't shrink it because you don't want others to see how blessed you are now.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_02]: Expand that.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_02]: You know, make it bigger.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_02]: Like, let it out because it inspires others to know, oh my God, there's so many good people out there.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_02]: There's so many people doing such great things.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_02]: Don't get involved, but it doesn't, it does.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_02]: So that's what I would share.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_01]: So Anna, your work reminds us that influence doesn't always come from grand gestures.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_01]: It often begins with a single word, a mindful pause, or phrase that helps someone see their own strength.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_01]: If our listener is want to get in touch with you, what's the best way to do so?
- 15:40[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so on TikTok, we're already up to like 48,000 followers now.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_02]: So the people love it.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_02]: They're out there and it's not about the numbers.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_02]: It's not about, oh, I have all these followers.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's not about that.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_02]: It's about that.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not alone in the third single hunger for positivity.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not alone out here.

- 16:16[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, stop is great too.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_02]: Stop is when you're really, really stop.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_02]: When you're really up against it, and you're just opening it up, and it'll just give you, it might be that thing,
- 16:28[SPEAKER_02]: that you need to let go, stop doing, so you can continue creating your beautiful life.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for sharing that.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_01]: We'll put this information in the show notes, and thank you for showing us how language can become a bridge to healing hope and transformation.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so grateful for you.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for having me.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for creating this space.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you have a lot of courage to do this and to create this space for us to be able to, we can't do it alone together is better.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm just so grateful that you're owning your greatness and allowed us to show up.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm very, very grateful for you.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_01]: That means so much to me.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate it.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.

- 17:40[SPEAKER_01]: Bye-bye.
