  April and here we are at the end of another week and I hope it's

  been a good one for you. Maybe your week has been as

  relaxing as mine has. Have good holidays, and here we

  are, not just at the end of another week, but at the

  beginning of another chapter of Proverbs.

  We get to sit down at the feet of the wisest of wise kings to
• 0:41
  hear a bit of God's wisdom shared for our lives today.

  And we will read through them twice.
• 0:47
  We will soak them up. And then we'll pray together
• 0:51
  that a little bit of this wisdom can stick and shape our lives
• 0:55
  today to be a little bit wiser, a little bit more godly.

  So how about we do that, friends?

  Let's dive in to Proverbs chapter 12, one to seven.

  To learn, you must love discipline.

  It is stupid to hate correction. To learn, you must love

  The Lord approves of those who are good, but He condemns those

  Our Jesus, as we reflect on this gift of truth that you bring us

  today, we hear these words that when we speak wickedly, we

  ambush the other. But your words, Lord, they save

  lives. Ah, Lord, the temptation to be

  the clever 1, to ambush someone else with their words.

  Lord, you know all too well that it can be tempting to use our
• 4:10
  cleverness to trap people and ambush them.
• 4:14
  But Lord, here you call us to speak in a way that saves lives,
• 4:22
  a way that brings stability. And good our Lord, I pray that
• 4:30
  you tame our tongues, you tame our ambition and you tame our
• 4:36
  hearts. That we would speak and interact
• 4:40
  with each other in a way that brings life, honours the other
• 4:45
  and brings stability. And that as we do that, we would
• 4:49
  build up your family so that your family would stand firm.

  Our Lord, thank you. Thank you that you show us a
• 4:59
  better way. Continue to lead us into that
• 5:02
  better way. Shape our lives, shape our
• 5:05
  hearts, shape each one of our actions to reflect you and your
• 5:10
  Kingdom. We pray all of this in your
• 5:13
  loving name, Jesus, Amen.
