Transcript
- 0:00So the autism home test or the AQ test you can do right now,
- 0:04but these are three things that I would suggest doing before
- 0:08even attempting to take one of these indicator tests, which
- 0:11don't worry, I can also link you to that all that's coming up.
- 0:14Don't go anywhere. Hey guys, welcome back to the
- 0:21Aspy world. My name is Dan.
- 0:22I have autism, ADHDOCD, and dyslexia, and I make weekly
- 0:25videos all about this stuff. So if you're new around here and
- 0:28you want to learn more about those things, make sure to hit
- 0:31the subscribe button by click on the notification bell down
- 0:33below. If you're watching over on
- 0:34Facebook, be sure to give this page a follow to see all of
- 0:37these videos that I put up constantly.
- 0:39OK, so there is an Autism online AAQ test that you can take right
- 0:44now and you can get it. It's available for my website
- 0:47and I'll jump onto our website and I'll show you what it looks
- 0:49like. It is very simple to use and
- 0:52it's a good indicator. Now don't get me wrong, I'm just
- 0:55moving my camera over here. It's an indicator, not a
- 0:58promise. And it's definitely not an
- 1:00official diagnosis. It's not licensed by any medical
- 1:03board, but it is from all the research from Simon Baron Cohen,
- 1:08not Sasha. Sorry.
- 1:08They get those two missed up, mixed up all the time. 1 is a
- 1:11actor and the other is a autism doctor and professor and all of
- 1:16the answers and the questions are curated in a way that was
- 1:20then used in something called the acute test was an autism
- 1:22quotient test, which is used in official diagnostic processes.
- 1:26So it's a good indicator. And this test will give you a
- 1:28number or of a percentage where it says maybe or maybe not.
- 1:31And then it'll tell you what to do.
- 1:33All is well and good. But before doing that, there are
- 1:34certain things that I think that you should do and what I did
- 1:38before taking this type of test to see how it would be because
- 1:41the test is a really good indicator if you do it properly.
- 1:44So further ado, let's get into it.
- 1:46Oh, also, if you do believe you're artistic and you are
- 1:48lacking in confidence, you're swimming in anxiety and you want
- 1:51to lower all those pressures of life and build more energy, all
- 1:54you have to do is download my free training program on this.
- 1:56It's called the Bulletproof Brain and you can get it right
- 1:58now completely free from www.bulletproofbrain.org.
- 2:03I'll leave a link in the description down below.
- 2:04You can also go to the link in my bio or just go to
- 2:07bulletproofbrain.org and download it yourself.
- 2:09Doing the test is all well and good, but but for doing it, you
- 2:14really need to know what you're going to be answering and why.
- 2:17And so the first thing I'd say to do is to write down a list of
- 2:19all of your quirks and differences.
- 2:21Maybe it's things that you notice within yourself, like a
- 2:23self reflection list. Hey, I do this and I do notice
- 2:27that a lot of people don't do this.
- 2:28And maybe you feel like it's something that's a bit odd or
- 2:31different or something unique to you, which is really interesting
- 2:35because when you have that kind of insight, you have more of a
- 2:39self-awareness and you know that you're answering questions
- 2:42correctly rather than just proactively actually answering
- 2:45the question deeply and through an actual answer that is from
- 2:51you as a person who has this condition.
- 2:54Now, I would write down a list. And this list could be a list of
- 2:56four quirks. It could be a list of 24 quirks
- 2:58or differences or oddnesses or things that you might just find,
- 3:01hey, I notice I do this and it does set me apart from other
- 3:04people. There's nothing wrong with this.
- 3:05I'm just saying that it's good to have these listed down
- 3:07because it's a good help for the indicator to help you understand
- 3:11where you are with everything. Guys, I wasn't always this
- 3:13confident and I definitely wasn't always this able.
- 3:16I'm able to hold down having a full time self-employed job.
- 3:19I have children and a relationship across the
- 3:21Atlantic. How did I do this?
- 3:23I teach you all of this in Coping Secrets, which is my
- 3:26entry level program that everyone can get.
- 3:28You can get it right now for $27.00.
- 3:30The link is in the description or you can just go to
- 3:32learnautism.net/coping Secrets. I'll make sure that it's linked
- 3:37everywhere in this video and the link in my bio so you can get
- 3:40your hands on it. But honestly, the feedback I
- 3:41got, people love it. The second thing I would
- 3:43suggest, I'll also speak to family and friends and see what
- 3:46they see differently in you. Now, this is actually a good
- 3:50exercise because it not only highlights stuff that maybe you
- 3:53didn't see in yourself that they have brought to your attention
- 3:56when you go, wow, I didn't know that.
- 3:57That's super interesting. But also it gives you a closer
- 4:00connection with those people. You know, if somebody's seen you
- 4:03struggling or feeling like you have a condition that is certain
- 4:07area of your life and then you can actually relate to that and
- 4:10they tell you it, then you guys have more of an understanding
- 4:13with each other. It opens and broadens that
- 4:15communication line. And I think that's super
- 4:17important because what it does is it reinforces that
- 4:20relationship you have with those people.
- 4:22Now you have two lists, then you have the list that you've made
- 4:25and then the list that you've collected from friends and
- 4:26family. And then you amalgamate all
- 4:28together into one big list. And you have one big list of
- 4:30everything that needs to be thought about before answering
- 4:33these questions because the AQ test is going to ask questions
- 4:36that are based upon things like is this odd behaviour?
- 4:39Do you do this? Do you do this, yes or no?
- 4:41Do you agree if you do this or do you disagree that you do
- 4:43this? And so having this beforehand is
- 4:46really good because I would review both those lists, The one
- 4:49big list that you've amalgamated, I'd review all of
- 4:51that and really get to terms with that and say, OK, these
- 4:52are, this is more of a bigger picture of who I am from my
- 4:55viewpoint and other people's viewpoints of me.
- 4:58Now, the third thing I would do is I would be prepared to answer
- 5:02honestly and think deeply about the answers.
- 5:05No, we answer things sometimes on a surface level where people
- 5:08will be like, oh, well, yeah, actually there's I don't mind
- 5:10going out. So, yeah, I mean, I don't want
- 5:12to go out to clubs, but that's not the answer.
- 5:14That it's one thing it wants to know what are you deeply
- 5:17impacted by? What is the thing that is most
- 5:19if I was to say what's the most intense way you can answer a
- 5:21question? So somebody said, one of the
- 5:23questions on here is do you prefer to go out to parties or
- 5:26do you prefer to stay in and research about a library,
- 5:29somebody who actually enjoys going out to clubs because
- 5:31you're a music enthusiast or you like supplementing different
- 5:35types of drinks. And those things are OK, but you
- 5:39have to answer honestly. You can't answer just thinking
- 5:41of the fact that, oh, what should I be answering?
- 5:43OK. And it should be an honest
- 5:44answer because you'd be surprised.
- 5:46Like one of the ones I experienced when I was doing
- 5:48this was I said about number plates.
- 5:49Do you often remember and memorize can number plates?
- 5:51And I was like, not really. I don't, you know, And but then
- 5:55I thought to myself, Oh, it's going to going to be detrimental
- 5:58to the outcome because there's probably something that says to
- 6:00people would do, I guess, but I didn't know all the time
- 6:03answered honestly anyway. And it was good because that
- 6:05made no difference to the outcome.
- 6:07I still have an extremely high likelihood of being on the
- 6:09autism spectrum, which I did because I also have an official
- 6:11diagnosis. I have two diagnosis of autism
- 6:13from different clinics. But in terms of that, it was
- 6:16interesting to see how if you just apply how you actually feel
- 6:22deeply about something, it'll give you the correct answer.
- 6:24Because this is interesting. Could maybe you know, y'all want
- 6:27to see an online autism test because you think he might be on
- 6:29the autism spectrum, but actually maybe there's something
- 6:31else going on. But if you answer completely
- 6:33honestly and legitimately, then you will find out that hey, if
- 6:38it's not indicative of autism, then maybe it's something else.
- 6:41And then go speak to my physician or whatever and then
- 6:43they can help me with the right treatment and therapies or
- 6:45whatever. OK, OK, so here we are on my
- 6:47computer. Hi everybody, I'm going to go to
- 6:50the the the tab here and we're going to go to the
- 6:53askmeworld.com/autism test and click go.
- 6:58It loads the websites test, which is basically this page you
- 7:02just put your name in and then put your e-mail address in.
- 7:05And once you well, that's not a lot symbol.
- 7:09OK, so you put your e-mail address in, click go, click take
- 7:11test and then it's going to load this page, which is basically
- 7:16the test page. It tells you how this, you know,
- 7:19test was created. It was created using a bunch of
- 7:21different bits and pieces from such as Simon Baron Cohen's
- 7:25Keybridge Research Center and all the piece people who
- 7:28basically put together that be the criteria for an AQ test or
- 7:31an Autobahn kosher test. So you're here and you literally
- 7:36simply click start on. Then you get to do the questions
- 7:40or as you please really, but there's no time level on it.
- 7:43But what it is is 50 or so questions.
- 7:46I think it's 50. Let's have a look.
- 7:48Yeah, 50 questions and you answer these honestly and
- 7:52basically it tells you a gauge. It gives you a number between
- 7:54like 30 and 50 is typically someone with the oxystructrum
- 7:58and you're logging that would typically be somebody outside of
- 8:00the realms of being in the triad of impairment, which is
- 8:03basically the diagnostic kind of main bulk criteria for Oz and
- 8:07destruction diagnosis. Now at the very bottom of the
- 8:10screen, as you can see, there's also some information that I put
- 8:14out. They can dial up my some free
- 8:15PDFs and some bits and pieces here and also the the references
- 8:18to the, the research papers that they use to create these actual
- 8:23test questions. And there's a video there or
- 8:25from me. So what would I suggest to do
- 8:29before actually having this done online or this test done online?
- 8:35With that, I would definitely go and take the test.
- 8:37Now the test once you've got all these figured out is on my
- 8:40website, which is the aspyworld.com/autism test.
- 8:44Now you can go to the link in the description of this video
- 8:46and find the link to the autism test or I will leave it in my
- 8:49bio. But like I said, you can
- 8:51literally just go to theaspyworld.com/autism test and
- 8:55take it right now. And there's a little bit of a
- 8:56sneak peek here for you. So guys, if you found this video
- 8:59very helpful, please share it. Comment anything you find that
- 9:02you want to share with me because I read every single
- 9:04comment. So do that right now and I'll
- 9:06see you in the next one piece.
