- 0:02Speaker 1: On scynelds Ostrodia.
- 0:05Speaker 2: This is the Wider Panety Show.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Good evening and welcome to the Rita Panety Show coming
- 0:11Speaker 3: up tonight. The Liberals abandoned at zero and now there
- 0:14Speaker 3: are reports that moderates and the party are abandoning leaders
- 0:17Speaker 3: as in League. Colleen Harken and Michael Danby will be
- 0:20Speaker 3: here to discuss that shortly and much more. I'll speak
- 0:23Speaker 3: to Liberal MP Andrew Wallace about the party's.
- 0:26Speaker 4: Leadership clothes, and we will get his.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Response to Jim Chalmer's astonishing attack against the party. Josh
- 0:33Speaker 3: Hammer will have the latest from the US, including revelations
- 0:36Speaker 3: Jeffrey Epstein fotted with the Democrats to get Donald Trump
- 0:41Speaker 3: and Kinziscofiel would join the program for the latest oral
- 0:44Speaker 3: and entertainment news Left he is losing it.
- 0:47Speaker 4: We never missed that. It will be fact checking.
- 0:50Speaker 3: MSNBC hysteric Lawrence o'donald's paranoid fantasies.
- 0:55Speaker 5: Jd Vance is doing exactly what Gerald Ford did while
- 1:00Speaker 5: the Nixon presidents. He was sinking.
- 1:02Speaker 3: But first, the belated decision by the Liberals to dumbn
- 1:06Speaker 3: it zero may have a disastrous conclusion for opposition leader
- 1:09Speaker 3: Susan Lee, with a growing number of moderate Liberal MPs
- 1:13Speaker 3: pulling their support for Lee and backing Andrew Hasty. Senior
- 1:17Speaker 3: moderates told The Daily Mail that a majority of MPs
- 1:21Speaker 3: in the faction would have voted for Hasty against Lee
- 1:24Speaker 3: if a ballot were held this week.
- 1:26Speaker 4: Moderates have apparently had enough of Lee's.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Week leadership and her hesitancy to take a firm stance
- 1:32Speaker 3: on the issue. One moderate said Lee didn't dance with
- 1:36Speaker 3: those who brought her, so we are moving on. Another
- 1:39Speaker 3: said we have reached a point where radical change is necessary,
- 1:44Speaker 3: and another said, even if it's Hasty, that's better than
- 1:48Speaker 3: a leader that stands for nothing. But moderates and Rustin
- 1:53Speaker 3: and Maria Kovichik have come to Susan Lee's defense, releasing
- 1:57Speaker 3: a joint statement saying the reports are incorrect and we,
- 2:01Speaker 3: along with an overwhelming majority about moderate colleagues, continue to
- 2:06Speaker 3: strongly support Susan's leadership.
- 2:09Speaker 4: Joining me now for more on this is Institute of.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Public Affairs Research fellow Colleen Harken and former Labor MP
- 2:15Speaker 3: Michael Danby.
- 2:16Speaker 4: Colin, I'll start with you.
- 2:17Speaker 3: This is typical behavior from the bedwetters. They only destabilize
- 2:22Speaker 3: and undermine. Now they appear to be fighting amongst themselves.
- 2:27Speaker 4: The moderates are fighting amongst themselves.
- 2:30Speaker 6: It's not surprising though. I mean, the issue here is
- 2:33Speaker 6: that for the last two elections Liberals have gone to
- 2:36Speaker 6: the constituents with no fight in them about this whole
- 2:40Speaker 6: net zero thing, and Susan Laers sort of tried to
- 2:42Speaker 6: play the role of being everything to everyone, which means
- 2:45Speaker 6: that you're in no man's land. You're not standing for
- 2:47Speaker 6: anything for anyone. So the internal machinations of how this
- 2:51Speaker 6: is going to work out don't surprise me. Andrew Hasty
- 2:55Speaker 6: has shown leadership and it shows that if you show
- 2:58Speaker 6: strong leadership and you show conviction that peace, people will follow.
- 3:01Speaker 6: People will join behind you, and the average person in
- 3:05Speaker 6: Australia actually just wants reliable, affordable energy. They don't know
- 3:09Speaker 6: what zero even means. I think they think it means
- 3:12Speaker 6: something about climate, but don't really understand that it has
- 3:15Speaker 6: the impact on high prices, weaken industry and has no
- 3:19Speaker 6: impact on climate issues. So the issue now is for
- 3:23Speaker 6: the Liberals to go out and sell it, explain it
- 3:25Speaker 6: to people, and sell it hard to have any chance
- 3:28Speaker 6: of actually getting getting through with why they've changed his policy,
- 3:32Speaker 6: and all power to them for doing it was the
- 3:33Speaker 6: right thing to do well, took the.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Long time to get there, just like the voice. But
- 3:37Speaker 3: you're right, most Australians probably don't know the impact net
- 3:41Speaker 3: zero policies have because they haven't had a major political
- 3:44Speaker 3: party actually prosecute the case.
- 3:47Speaker 4: Michael.
- 3:48Speaker 3: In my mind, Andrew Hasty is a formidable opponent. Do
- 3:52Speaker 3: you think Labor would be more concerned with a Hasty
- 3:55Speaker 3: lead coalition than a Susan leak let coalition?
- 4:00Speaker 7: Claim they're looking forward to a Hasty leadership and I
- 4:03Speaker 7: think they've made a big mistake if they do. Look
- 4:07Speaker 7: no net zero people in the Liberal Party have a
- 4:09Speaker 7: majority already. If a few moderates join them, whoever is
- 4:15Speaker 7: the alternative to Susan lay will easily win. But the
- 4:19Speaker 7: problem is will there be no contest between Angus Taylor
- 4:23Speaker 7: and Andrew Hasty? Will they agree on a joint ticket?
- 4:27Speaker 7: I must say my experience of Angus Taylor is he
- 4:32Speaker 7: just doesn't cut through. Hasty has one problem that is
- 4:38Speaker 7: that comment on immigration, which is falsely portrayed by the
- 4:42Speaker 7: Labor Party's opposition to immigration. But what it's very useful
- 4:46Speaker 7: to disguising is their campaign against the Chinese vote, the
- 4:54Speaker 7: Chinese Australian vote, so they think that he's very vulnerable
- 4:58Speaker 7: on that. It's a big problem for the Liberal Party.
- 5:02Speaker 7: How do they get around what happened to people like
- 5:04Speaker 7: mister Wallahan and Mensies.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Yeah, you're right, that is a growing demographic. But I
- 5:12Speaker 3: think broadly Andrew Hasty's comments about immigration would be enormously popular.
- 5:18Speaker 4: So there's also that to consider.
- 5:20Speaker 3: And again I think like net zero, probably even more
- 5:23Speaker 3: so than at zero, Colleen, that is an issue where
- 5:26Speaker 3: the Australian public really haven't had to say. Poll after
- 5:29Speaker 3: the poll says that majority of Australians want to see
- 5:31Speaker 3: some dramatic reductions in immigration, and yet both sides are
- 5:36Speaker 3: continuing with this big Australia mindset. Even if the Libs
- 5:40Speaker 3: targets are a little bit lower than labor, they're still fairly hefty.
- 5:44Speaker 6: Yeah, of course, And look, the average just Tonian has
- 5:47Speaker 6: shown their voice in all of those marches that have
- 5:49Speaker 6: been around the country.
- 5:50Speaker 4: They're not anti immigration.
- 5:53Speaker 6: They make it very clear that their anti.
- 5:55Speaker 4: Unplanned and mass immigration.
- 5:56Speaker 6: I think it's a very easy clarification to make if
- 6:00Speaker 6: you get the lines right. People are not anti immigration,
- 6:02Speaker 6: they're just simply this sort of thousands of people who
- 6:06Speaker 6: are arriving and we don't have the infrastructure to cope
- 6:09Speaker 6: with it at the moment.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Now it has been revealed almost five hundred Australians attended
- 6:14Speaker 3: the COP thirty talk fest in Brazil this year. Among
- 6:18Speaker 3: them was of course, Climate Change and Energy Minister Chris Bowen,
- 6:22Speaker 3: who has been pushing for Australia to host next year's
- 6:25Speaker 3: COP thirty one conference in Adelaide.
- 6:28Speaker 4: Michael, what can I say?
- 6:30Speaker 3: This seems like a monumental waste of taxpayer money.
- 6:35Speaker 7: Congratulations to the people at Sky have exposed this. Five
- 6:39Speaker 7: hundred people going all the way from Australia to a
- 6:42Speaker 7: climate alarm conference. You couldn't write a script like it
- 6:47Speaker 7: out of Monty Python. It's outrageous if government and other
- 6:51Speaker 7: institutions money has been used, just as you suggest, reader,
- 6:55Speaker 7: And I'd also like to know how many of these
- 6:58Speaker 7: people are took holidays to Machu Pichu after they finished
- 7:03Speaker 7: with their pop conference.
- 7:07Speaker 4: That is a very great you did.
- 7:10Speaker 8: Well.
- 7:11Speaker 3: You're coming in through on zoom right now and I
- 7:14Speaker 3: think if you can do it, I don't know why
- 7:16Speaker 3: they can't and these are people who are obsessed with
- 7:18Speaker 3: global warming Colleen, So you would think that had be
- 7:21Speaker 3: very motivated not to get on a plane. But talking
- 7:24Speaker 3: about waste of tax pay money and Aboriginal academic has
- 7:28Speaker 3: criticized the Albanese government's so called First Nations People ambassador
- 7:33Speaker 3: after he received a new contract extension which will see him.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Paid four hundred thousand dollars a year.
- 7:39Speaker 3: In his first twenty months in the job, Ambassador Justin
- 7:43Speaker 3: Muhammad and Maston oversees travel.
- 7:46Speaker 4: Bill of more than two hundred and fifty thousand.
- 7:48Speaker 3: That's on top of his sizeable salary that included trips
- 7:52Speaker 3: to Switzerland he went there three times, five trips to
- 7:55Speaker 3: the US and many visits to Pacific Island nations. Aboriginal
- 8:00Speaker 3: academic and human rights lawyer Hannah mclade told The Daily
- 8:03Speaker 3: Telegraph that the ambassador role had a documented history of
- 8:07Speaker 3: extensive and expensive travel and hotels without proof of real
- 8:12Speaker 3: outcomes to improve the lives of Aboriginal people Colleen. She
- 8:17Speaker 3: also claimed it was promoting a positive image of Australia
- 8:20Speaker 3: on the global stage, contrary to the evidence about the
- 8:23Speaker 3: government's failure on closing the gap.
- 8:27Speaker 4: How do you see this role.
- 8:29Speaker 3: It's always confused me. It's always confused me what even
- 8:31Speaker 3: the purpose of this role is.
- 8:33Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm not sure what the purpose is, and I'm
- 8:36Speaker 6: very confused about what a first nation's ambassador has to
- 8:39Speaker 6: do with foreign policies and visiting all of these countries.
- 8:42Speaker 6: The other thing is that apparently has an office of
- 8:46Speaker 6: ten staff, so there's a lot of money that's been
- 8:49Speaker 6: channeled into this, and I'd.
- 8:50Speaker 4: Like to see what are the KPIs, what is the
- 8:52Speaker 4: performance standard and what.
- 8:53Speaker 6: Is it actually supposed to achieve because we talk a
- 8:56Speaker 6: lot about closing the gap, but I don't see any
- 8:58Speaker 6: relevance between this and actually on the ground issues with
- 9:02Speaker 6: Aboriginal communities.
- 9:03Speaker 4: Absolutely, Michael, Why do we need.
- 9:06Speaker 3: A first nation's people ambassador to be globe trotting around
- 9:10Speaker 3: the world And how can their message on foreign affairs
- 9:14Speaker 3: be any different to the Foreign Affairs minister. Why would
- 9:19Speaker 3: we have two competing messages coming out of Australia.
- 9:25Speaker 7: People like this and our e Safety Commissioner, who's spent
- 9:28Speaker 7: nearly five hundred thousand dollars on international travel, are going
- 9:33Speaker 7: to blow up in the face of the government at
- 9:35Speaker 7: some point. The government should get control of all of
- 9:39Speaker 7: these people and restrict their budgets to what might be
- 9:44Speaker 7: reasonable for an our Aboriginal ambassador. If we have to
- 9:48Speaker 7: have one good point reader, a few people on the
- 9:51Speaker 7: Pacific Islands might need to see him personally, but the
- 9:54Speaker 7: You and Human Rights Council in Geneva doesn't need to
- 9:57Speaker 7: see him three times a year. It's a scam. And
- 10:02Speaker 7: you know, all of us are in favor of Indigenous
- 10:04Speaker 7: people being treated equally, but I think it's sort of
- 10:08Speaker 7: as that Aboriginal academic has pointed out, it denigrates the
- 10:11Speaker 7: whole issue to have a bloke spending money like this,
- 10:14Speaker 7: being paid like this, just as it does with a
- 10:17Speaker 7: safety commissioner.
- 10:18Speaker 3: To Victoria now, where a convicted murderer has fired legal
- 10:22Speaker 3: action against the Department of Justice for taking away his
- 10:26Speaker 3: right to eat vega mite. Yes, Andre mckenchie says he
- 10:31Speaker 3: was refused vegemite and he claims it's a breach.
- 10:34Speaker 4: Of his human rights because it's denying you.
- 10:37Speaker 3: As Australian culture Michael Shadow. Corrections Minister David Southweik has
- 10:43Speaker 3: slammed the legal action, saying prison cells aren't meant to
- 10:47Speaker 3: act as hotels. How do you see this consequential issue.
- 10:51Speaker 7: This is plainly ridiculous. We should have magistrates and judges
- 10:57Speaker 7: enforcing the existing laws of Victoria, not going soft on
- 11:02Speaker 7: people with ridiculous claims like this. This is an example
- 11:06Speaker 7: of the woke madness of the prison system and the
- 11:10Speaker 7: Victorian legal system in general. You know we should. Now
- 11:13Speaker 7: we've got a premier who promised to take the masks
- 11:16Speaker 7: off these people who are terrifying people in the city
- 11:19Speaker 7: still and the police have to politely go up to
- 11:22Speaker 7: them and say, well, could you please take that mask off?
- 11:25Speaker 7: Of course it won't happen, so it's an empty promise,
- 11:28Speaker 7: just like the machete bins and all of the soft
- 11:32Speaker 7: treatment of the legal system that the current Victorian government
- 11:37Speaker 7: is proceeding with them. The people that affects the worst
- 11:41Speaker 7: are the poor people of Victoria, people who are not
- 11:45Speaker 7: on high incomes, who this labor government is meant to
- 11:48Speaker 7: stand up for, not all of its socialists left woke nonsense.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Well, crime is shaping up to be a major issue
- 11:56Speaker 3: at the next state election.
- 11:58Speaker 4: Here.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Do you think the premiere has one some ground with
- 12:02Speaker 3: these new tough youth laws with the adult crime adult
- 12:07Speaker 3: time though they are when you look at the detail
- 12:09Speaker 3: fairly flaky. The s them to be some major loopholes
- 12:12Speaker 3: formatt for judges to get around that.
- 12:14Speaker 5: Well.
- 12:14Speaker 6: I think that's the thing is that Professor Murco wrote
- 12:19Speaker 6: an article the other day that said a knife hurts
- 12:21Speaker 6: whether it's come from a sixteen year old or a
- 12:23Speaker 6: forty five year old. The issue is the law exists,
- 12:27Speaker 6: and the labor appointed judges in the county Court, who
- 12:30Speaker 6: may well hear these cases is applying supposed to apply
- 12:34Speaker 6: the law the same. So it's not about tweaking at
- 12:38Speaker 6: the edges. There is wholesale reform that's required. And Jacinta
- 12:42Speaker 6: Allen has taken a long time to actually take some
- 12:44Speaker 6: of these issues seriously, and I think she's still just
- 12:46Speaker 6: sort of trying to tweak and smoke and mirrors. I
- 12:48Speaker 6: don't think the actual issue of what's going on is
- 12:50Speaker 6: genuinely being addressed.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Yep, Michael danby Colleen Hark and thank you so much
- 12:55Speaker 3: for your time joining me now.
- 12:57Speaker 4: Is a Liberal MP Andrew Wallace? Andrew give my audience.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Some clarity on how united the Liberals are behind the
- 13:04Speaker 3: coalition's decision to dumb net zero. We know there are
- 13:08Speaker 3: a number of MPs who back net zero. We've had
- 13:11Speaker 3: the likes of Andrew Bragg threatened to quit the opposition
- 13:14Speaker 3: front bench if net zero is dropped. He's still there.
- 13:18Speaker 3: How fractured is the party right now?
- 13:23Speaker 4: Well, Rita, thanks for having me on.
- 13:25Speaker 9: This has been a pretty long process, as you know,
- 13:28Speaker 9: more than six months. Dantem's done a terrific job and
- 13:32Speaker 9: pulling everybody together.
- 13:34Speaker 4: We've had multiple meetings.
- 13:36Speaker 9: Look, of course you're always going to get some people
- 13:39Speaker 9: that are on the edges that might not be particularly
- 13:42Speaker 9: happy one way or the other. But as a rule,
- 13:45Speaker 9: as a group, the Liberal Party and the National Party
- 13:49Speaker 9: is united on our new energy policy, part of which
- 13:54Speaker 9: is to dumb net zero by twenty fifty.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Now, we spoke earlier in the show about a number
- 14:00Speaker 3: of moderates abandoning Susan lead. There has been reports of that.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Today they're claiming they would back back Andrew Hasty in
- 14:07Speaker 3: a leadership challenge, and some of those critiquing the opposition leader, well,
- 14:12Speaker 3: they were pretty brutal with the claims that she stands
- 14:15Speaker 3: for nothing and that she's weak on policy. Do you
- 14:20Speaker 3: think Susan Lee will be leading the opposition at the
- 14:23Speaker 3: next election, Yeah, like I do.
- 14:27Speaker 9: I think Susan is doing a very good job under
- 14:30Speaker 9: very difficult circumstances. It's very difficult for anybody to step
- 14:34Speaker 9: into the breach otter two pretty significant electoral defeats. It's tough.
- 14:40Speaker 9: It's the toughest job in politics as being the federal
- 14:42Speaker 9: opposition leader. There's a lot of scrutiny. But I think
- 14:46Speaker 9: she's doing a very good job. She is cool and
- 14:49Speaker 9: calm under pressure.
- 14:52Speaker 4: I don't think there.
- 14:52Speaker 9: Would be too many people that would be able to
- 14:54Speaker 9: have the composure that Susan Lee has demonstrated over the
- 14:57Speaker 9: last six months.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Now, let's talk about the Treasurer. Jim Chalmers has been
- 15:01Speaker 3: scathing of the Liberals and their decision to dump a
- 15:05Speaker 3: net zero.
- 15:06Speaker 4: This is what he had to say.
- 15:08Speaker 10: Susan Lee has caved to the smirking crackpots and cookers
- 15:13Speaker 10: in her own party. Now, this is not some temporary
- 15:16Speaker 10: phase that they're going through. This is not some temporary
- 15:19Speaker 10: lurch to the right. Over recent years, this coalition has
- 15:23Speaker 10: become a party of extremists and Australians would pay a
- 15:28Speaker 10: very hefty price for that extremeism.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Well there you go, smirking crackpots, cookers and extremists.
- 15:37Speaker 4: How do you respond to that retro.
- 15:38Speaker 9: We must be doing something right, reader, We must be
- 15:42Speaker 9: doing something wrong to be that exercised. We should be
- 15:47Speaker 9: because I'll tell you what, twenty seven million Australians have
- 15:51Speaker 9: had a gutfull of this government's demands to ensuring that
- 15:57Speaker 9: we meet their net zero emissions targets. Australians are paying
- 16:03Speaker 9: through the nose for their energy bills. Whether it's mums
- 16:06Speaker 9: and dads with their household bills or businesses like Tomago
- 16:11Speaker 9: and everybody in between, Australians are paying far too much
- 16:15Speaker 9: money for their electricity. This is a government that said
- 16:18Speaker 9: that we would be paying two hundred and seventy five
- 16:21Speaker 9: dollars less for our energy bills, and just for mums
- 16:24Speaker 9: and dads, we're paying one thousand.
- 16:26Speaker 7: Dollars more for our energy bills.
- 16:28Speaker 9: That's on top of the knock on flow on effects
- 16:31Speaker 9: that everybody's experiencing as a result of higher energy, whether
- 16:35Speaker 9: it's supermarkets, butchers, bakers. I had a baker in my
- 16:39Speaker 9: electric the other day telling me that just to pay
- 16:43Speaker 9: his electricity bill, he's got to sell eight hundred loaves
- 16:47Speaker 9: of bread just to pay his electricity bill. Had another
- 16:51Speaker 9: convenience owner say his energy bills have gone up by
- 16:56Speaker 9: sixty two percent from the previous year. There's only so
- 17:01Speaker 9: much that businesses can pass those costs down to their consumers,
- 17:07Speaker 9: and of course most can't, so the consumers are having
- 17:09Speaker 9: to pick up the tab for this. But I think
- 17:11Speaker 9: Australians are starting to wake up to this lot and
- 17:15Speaker 9: I think we can see from the likes of Jim
- 17:18Speaker 9: Charmer's response that they are quite worried.
- 17:23Speaker 3: Well they should be worried because we can finally have
- 17:25Speaker 3: a debate about this. We've had two elections now when
- 17:27Speaker 3: the Australian people really haven't had a choice. And I
- 17:31Speaker 3: think Andrew, when Australians are given the choice between lower
- 17:36Speaker 3: prices and lower emissions, they pick lower prices every single time.
- 17:41Speaker 3: I think it's just shameful the state we're in this country,
- 17:43Speaker 3: where we've got working people who are too scared to
- 17:47Speaker 3: turn on their air conditioners in summer or their heaters
- 17:50Speaker 3: and winter. Now, I want to ask you about law
- 17:52Speaker 3: and order before you go. You've spoken out about Labour's
- 17:55Speaker 3: push too we can bail laws at a time when
- 17:58Speaker 3: violent crime is rising across the country. You say the
- 18:01Speaker 3: government is out of touch.
- 18:04Speaker 9: Absolutely, Rita I mean this morning we saw the Prime
- 18:09Speaker 9: Minister talking and extolling the virtues of the Victorian Labor
- 18:15Speaker 9: parties plan to crack down on crime. The Prime Minister
- 18:18Speaker 9: today said, you know, all Australians want is to feel secure. Well,
- 18:23Speaker 9: how about this for mixed messages. Just on Friday morning,
- 18:27Speaker 9: the Attorney General Michelle Rowland was trying to convince her
- 18:31Speaker 9: state and territory counterparts to weaken bail laws. So you
- 18:35Speaker 9: know what is it. Are we trying to weaken bail
- 18:38Speaker 9: laws under this federal government or as the Prime Minister
- 18:41Speaker 9: now saying that actually Australians want to feel safer and
- 18:44Speaker 9: secure in their own homes. You can't have it both ways,
- 18:47Speaker 9: Prime Minister.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Well so, Andrew Wallace, thank you so much for your
- 18:51Speaker 3: time tonight. Now it's time for lefties losing it and
- 18:56Speaker 3: let's start with the mad ratings of MSNBC. Lawrence o'donald,
- 19:01Speaker 3: who is now just reporting his paranoid fantasies as facts here,
- 19:06Speaker 3: seems to think that the Trump presidency is in its
- 19:09Speaker 3: final dark days.
- 19:11Speaker 5: JD Vance is doing exactly what Gerald Ford did while
- 19:16Speaker 5: the Nixon presidents. He was sinking and Richard Nixon was
- 19:19Speaker 5: under increasing pressure over several months that led to his resignation.
- 19:25Speaker 5: Jerald Ford said nothing. When things were the darkest for
- 19:31Speaker 5: President Richard Nixon, Vice President Gerald Ford said nothing. And
- 19:35Speaker 5: when Richard Nixon resigned the presidency, vice President Ford said,
- 19:39Speaker 5: our long national nightmare is over tonight. Jd Vance is
- 19:43Speaker 5: silent tonight. Jd Vance is Gerald Ford.
- 19:46Speaker 3: One problem with that rad well, several problems actually, including
- 19:50Speaker 3: it is stark raving mad. But far from saying nothing,
- 19:55Speaker 3: Vice President jd Vance has been speaking, and he has
- 19:59Speaker 3: been doing inter views daily. As he noted himself, I
- 20:02Speaker 3: did two media interviews literally today.
- 20:06Speaker 4: Well done, Lawrence, your absolute cloud show. Now let's go
- 20:09Speaker 4: to see Ann.
- 20:10Speaker 3: And here from Marjorie Taylor Green, who seems to be
- 20:14Speaker 3: a changed woman since she appeared on the view. Maybe
- 20:18Speaker 3: they put something in her drink, because this is concerning
- 20:21Speaker 3: what are you doing?
- 20:22Speaker 4: MTG.
- 20:23Speaker 1: I'm sorry for taking part in the toxic politics. It's
- 20:30Speaker 1: very bad for our country and it's been something I've
- 20:34Speaker 1: thought about a lot, especially since Charlie Kirk was assassinated,
- 20:38Speaker 1: is that I'm only responsible for myself and my own
- 20:42Speaker 1: words and actions, and I am going. I am committed,
- 20:46Speaker 1: and I've been working on this a lot lately to
- 20:49Speaker 1: put down the knives and politics. I really just want
- 20:53Speaker 1: to see people be kind to one another.
- 20:56Speaker 4: I don't know what's happening there. What is she doing?
- 20:58Speaker 3: She's apologized on CNN for her retric. Really, as Matt
- 21:04Speaker 3: Walsh noted, leftists celebrated Charlie Kirk's murder and then elected
- 21:09Speaker 3: an attorney general who openly fantasizes about killing us and
- 21:14Speaker 3: our children, and our Republicans are going on CNN to
- 21:17Speaker 3: apologize for their toxic rhetric. What the hell is going on?
- 21:22Speaker 3: What the hell indeed do better, Marjorie? Now Here is
- 21:25Speaker 3: Bill Maher giving his fellow lefties a quick history lesson
- 21:29Speaker 3: in what happens when you embrace the failed doctrine of socialism.
- 21:34Speaker 11: Here's capitalist South Korea at Nate from space. Here's socialist
- 21:38Speaker 11: North Korea. Yeah, in nineteen ninety, Venezuela was wealthier than Poland.
- 21:45Speaker 11: But then Poland finally free of Soviet style economics when
- 21:48Speaker 11: all in on capitalism, and now their economy is as
- 21:51Speaker 11: big as Japan and people there have high wages, low inflation,
- 21:55Speaker 11: cars Ecasions Holmes. Meanwhile, Venezuela traded capitalism for Hugo Chavez's
- 22:02Speaker 11: Socialism for the twenty first Century, which turned out to
- 22:05Speaker 11: be like socialism in the Last Injury or Any Century
- 22:09Speaker 11: mess It turned one of Latin America's richest countries into
- 22:19Speaker 11: one of its poorest, low wages, high inflation, shortages, outages,
- 22:24Speaker 11: eight million people fleeing. If you think New York can
- 22:27Speaker 11: somehow reinvent this wheel, you're in for a rude.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Awokening, well, said Bill Maher. But I think he knows
- 22:34Speaker 3: as well as I do that they're not going to.
- 22:36Speaker 4: Listen to him. Now, it's clear that CNN.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Doesn't want to join CBS and ABC in cutting Donald
- 22:42Speaker 3: Trump a massive eight figure check for deliberately defaming him.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Watch this disclaimer before a question.
- 22:49Speaker 12: Was asked that mentioned the president, and we do want
- 22:52Speaker 12: to be clear the President Trump did not receive or
- 22:55Speaker 12: send any of the messages which Larlie predated his time
- 22:58Speaker 12: as president. He's not been accused of many criminal wrongdoing
- 23:01Speaker 12: in connection with Epstein or Maxwell.
- 23:05Speaker 4: Was very thorough.
- 23:06Speaker 3: Indeed, it really wasn't a point asking the question after
- 23:09Speaker 3: all that. Now, let's go back to MSNBC, the mental
- 23:12Speaker 3: health asylum masquading as a news network and Jensaki was
- 23:16Speaker 3: quick to correct herself after a defamatory comment about the President,
- 23:20Speaker 3: labeling him a predator.
- 23:23Speaker 12: In supporting what Donald Trump is doing, you're talking about
- 23:26Speaker 12: the other predators out there in addition to Trump.
- 23:29Speaker 4: I mean, I'm not saying he is. We don't know
- 23:31Speaker 4: all the details about that.
- 23:32Speaker 1: I just mean, in addition to what we've learned about
- 23:34Speaker 1: Epstein and others, there's other predators out there.
- 23:37Speaker 4: Are still to come.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Revelations Jeffrey Epstein plotted with the Democrats to get Donald Trump.
- 23:44Speaker 4: Josh Hammer will join me next. Welcome back.
- 23:56Speaker 3: Let's talk more about the latest Jeffrey Epstein revelations.
- 24:00Speaker 4: Now, the real scandal here is not the.
- 24:02Speaker 3: Fake, manufactured narratives pushed by the increasingly desperate Democrats who
- 24:07Speaker 3: redacted already released information to make it appear as if
- 24:11Speaker 3: Donald Trump had spent hours with a mystery Epstein victim.
- 24:15Speaker 4: But that victim was known and widely reported on.
- 24:18Speaker 3: It was a Virginia Giuffrey who made it clear repeatedly
- 24:22Speaker 3: that Donald Trump had done nothing wrong. She said that repeatedly,
- 24:25Speaker 3: she wrote it in her memoir, and most importantly, she
- 24:28Speaker 3: submitted sworn testimony to the court saying just that, but
- 24:32Speaker 3: the Democrats redacted her name in the email to make
- 24:36Speaker 3: it appear that this was some new scandal. The real
- 24:39Speaker 3: story is a convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein, plotting with
- 24:44Speaker 3: the Democrats to get Donald Trump. Yes, the pedophile and
- 24:48Speaker 3: staunch Democrat was even feeding questions to a House Democrat
- 24:51Speaker 3: during eight twenty nineteen congressional hearing. The other story is
- 24:56Speaker 3: discredited author Michael Wolfe plotting with Epstein to get TRUP up.
- 25:00Speaker 4: That's what those emails reveal. And why did Jeffrey Epstein
- 25:04Speaker 4: hate Donald Trump so much? Well, it's not just.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Because Epstein was a prolific Democrat donor, but as Michael
- 25:11Speaker 3: Wolfe himself admitted, Epstein suspected that Trump had reported him
- 25:16Speaker 3: to the authorities.
- 25:18Speaker 13: At that point, Epstein's legal problems began. The police began
- 25:23Speaker 13: to investigate him over allegations that he was that there
- 25:30Speaker 13: were underage women coming to his house. Epstein believed that
- 25:35Speaker 13: it was Trump who first informed the police about what
- 25:39Speaker 13: was going on at Epstein's house, and from that point
- 25:44Speaker 13: on they were nothing but bitter enemies.
- 25:48Speaker 14: And this is what he's telling you.
- 25:49Speaker 8: This is one of the instances of what he's telling
- 25:51Speaker 8: you that yes.
- 25:53Speaker 3: Joining me now is Newsweek's senior editor at Large and
- 25:56Speaker 3: Article three Projects Senior Council, Josh Hammer. Josh, this is
- 26:00Speaker 3: an enormous scandal the Democrats working with Epstein, a known
- 26:04Speaker 3: sex offender, to get Donald Trump.
- 26:09Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 26:09Speaker 15: Read everything that you need to know about the story
- 26:12Speaker 15: is based on the relevant timeline, which is that Democrats
- 26:15Speaker 15: had some mild success in the off off your elections
- 26:18Speaker 15: about two weeks ago at this point in New York City,
- 26:20Speaker 15: New Jersey and Virginia and then inexplicably. But on the
- 26:24Speaker 15: other hand, it gets entirely predictably. They caved on the
- 26:26Speaker 15: shutdown fight, like they totally caved. I mean, Chuck Schumer
- 26:29Speaker 15: epically capitulated. There.
- 26:30Speaker 4: It is.
- 26:30Speaker 15: It is the irony of all ironies. He was fighting
- 26:32Speaker 15: this shutdown fight. He tried to forestall an AOC primary
- 26:35Speaker 15: challenge in his New York Center race in three years now,
- 26:38Speaker 15: the let's all angry at him. So in order to
- 26:40Speaker 15: try to get the momentum back in their favor, in
- 26:42Speaker 15: order to try to divert attention from the victorious Republicans
- 26:45Speaker 15: and to try to bring the spotlight back to how
- 26:47Speaker 15: Democrats are allegedly doing something fill in the blank there.
- 26:51Speaker 15: You know, mysteriously, these these twenty thousand emails magically appear. Look,
- 26:57Speaker 15: my humble opinion is that the Epstein story ranks probably
- 26:59Speaker 15: somewhere over in the fortieth and fiftieth most and most
- 27:01Speaker 15: important story to the American people. I think the fact
- 27:03Speaker 15: that Democrats are resorting to this frankly reeks of desperation.
- 27:07Speaker 15: It's not just hit hypocrisy and desperation, though, it is
- 27:10Speaker 15: frankly just astounding that anyone would take them at their word.
- 27:14Speaker 15: To be clear, there were horrific, horrific, detestable loads of
- 27:17Speaker 15: some of the worst crimes that you can even imagine
- 27:19Speaker 15: occurred in this horrific, horrific case roughly two decades or so,
- 27:23Speaker 15: give or take there, and everyone wants justice for the victims.
- 27:26Speaker 15: But it's hard to take these same Democrats seriously, rita,
- 27:29Speaker 15: when we know that there was one particular president who
- 27:32Speaker 15: was much much closer Jeffrey Epstein than Donald Trump, who,
- 27:34Speaker 15: by the way, kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of Mara Lago
- 27:37Speaker 15: as White House Press Secretary Caroline Levied was quick to
- 27:39Speaker 15: note this past week and that Democrat president was very,
- 27:42Speaker 15: very chummy with Jeffrey Epstein. The noted Democrat donor was
- 27:45Speaker 15: Bill Clinton. Huh, funny you should ask. I don't see
- 27:48Speaker 15: ro Kahan or any of these other House Democratic leaders, Hakim,
- 27:51Speaker 15: Jeffreyes none. There are talking about Bill Clinton's various trips
- 27:54Speaker 15: on the so called the low Leader express, Jeffrey Epstein's
- 27:57Speaker 15: private plane.
- 27:58Speaker 7: Why is that?
- 27:58Speaker 15: I think the American people see through this readA They
- 28:01Speaker 15: see this is a innakedly political stunt there. Donald Trump, yes,
- 28:05Speaker 15: he knew Jeffy Epstein. Guess what, so did a lot
- 28:07Speaker 15: of people. A lot of very powerful, very prime people
- 28:10Speaker 15: knew Jeffrey Epstein. The fact that he was corresponding to him,
- 28:12Speaker 15: frankly means absolutely nothing whatsoever in my judgment there, this
- 28:16Speaker 15: is a pure political stunt. The American people are going
- 28:18Speaker 15: to see right through it.
- 28:18Speaker 1: I think.
- 28:21Speaker 3: Well, just finally on the Democrats' links with Jeffrey Epstein,
- 28:25Speaker 3: The New York Posts are reported that Epstein was feeding
- 28:28Speaker 3: questions to Stacey Plaskett during a twenty nineteen congressional hearing,
- 28:33Speaker 3: giving her real time help on how to damaged President
- 28:38Speaker 3: Donald Trump. And there also reports that Epstein was in
- 28:41Speaker 3: meetings with Obama White House counsel Katherine Rumler, tell me
- 28:47Speaker 3: about that connection.
- 28:48Speaker 4: What's that about.
- 28:50Speaker 15: Well, it's actually potentially even worse than that. So there
- 28:52Speaker 15: was one of the Look, they're twenty thousand emails, so
- 28:55Speaker 15: there's a lot that comes up there. But there was
- 28:56Speaker 15: actually a potentially even more interesting email than this that
- 28:59Speaker 15: I saw involving Brock Obama. That's why I thought of it,
- 29:01Speaker 15: and this email has to do I'm trying to remember
- 29:04Speaker 15: which election cycle was. I think it was the twenty
- 29:06Speaker 15: sixteen election cycle, and there was an email from from
- 29:10Speaker 15: Epstein talking about how Barack Now he misspelled that there
- 29:14Speaker 15: there were there were two hours, not what so it
- 29:16Speaker 15: was it was misspelled in the email. But there was
- 29:18Speaker 15: an emails Jeffrey EPs you talk about how Barack is
- 29:20Speaker 15: coming over for dinner tonight and he actually look on
- 29:22Speaker 15: the timestamp, I think this was. This was in late
- 29:26Speaker 15: October November is run the presspice of the twenty seas
- 29:28Speaker 15: you need election of memory serves Barack Obama was on
- 29:30Speaker 15: the campaign truck campaigning for then Canda to Hillary Clinton. Well,
- 29:33Speaker 15: guess where he was at that time at the same
- 29:34Speaker 15: time Jeffrey Epstein sent that email. Oh yeah, he was
- 29:37Speaker 15: in South Florida. He was campaigning in South Florida at
- 29:39Speaker 15: the same time that Jeffrey Epstein was talking about having
- 29:42Speaker 15: someone named Barack over to his house for dinner in
- 29:45Speaker 15: Palm Beach. I wonder who that could be, right, So,
- 29:48Speaker 15: I mean, Bill Clinton is one thing we've known about
- 29:51Speaker 15: these Bill Clinton times Jeffrey Epstein for years. But I
- 29:53Speaker 15: think that the curious onlooker might if the curious onlooker
- 29:56Speaker 15: here is not hypocritical, unlike a heme Jeffrey's rocon, if
- 30:00Speaker 15: the curious onlookers actually intellectually honest, I think one might
- 30:03Speaker 15: be inclined to ask what a Barack Obama no, when.
- 30:09Speaker 3: Of course it could be an entirely different Baraque with
- 30:12Speaker 3: two hours, So we'll wait and see.
- 30:15Speaker 16: Now.
- 30:15Speaker 3: Donald Trump has said he will be pursuing legal action
- 30:19Speaker 3: against the BBC after they deceptively edited his January sixth speech.
- 30:24Speaker 3: Trump has already secured multiple eight figure settlements over the
- 30:28Speaker 3: past year from media outlets from ABC American ABC and CBS,
- 30:33Speaker 3: as well as major social media platforms Josh x Meta,
- 30:38Speaker 3: which has Facebook and Instagram and also YouTube. How do
- 30:42Speaker 3: you see this latest clash progressing. I think the UK's
- 30:48Speaker 3: information laws are far harsher than what's in place in
- 30:52Speaker 3: the US. Could he be looking at another massive payout here?
- 30:57Speaker 15: Yeah, you took the words down my mouth. In the UK,
- 31:00Speaker 15: defamation law is extremely, extremely strict, actually read it. I
- 31:04Speaker 15: know this very much firsthand because during some of the
- 31:07Speaker 15: riots in the UK just over a year ago, there
- 31:09Speaker 15: was a horrific murderer of young English children and a
- 31:13Speaker 15: dance studio from a Rwandan memory serves there and there
- 31:15Speaker 15: were all these riots then counter rights there and I
- 31:17Speaker 15: made a somewhat anodyne tweet about two tier cure starmer
- 31:21Speaker 15: and a friend of mine, who is a British lawyer
- 31:23Speaker 15: over in London, messaged me on WhatsApp. He said, Josh,
- 31:26Speaker 15: you probably should take that tweet down and I was like,
- 31:28Speaker 15: what are you talking about. I mean, like, this is America,
- 31:30Speaker 15: I have free speech, and he was like, actually, under
- 31:32Speaker 15: British law, that's probably that's probably defamatory.
- 31:35Speaker 4: So you know, I didn't.
- 31:35Speaker 15: For the record, I did not delete the screed. I
- 31:37Speaker 15: did not capitulate to Britain's utterly or WILLI en defamation system.
- 31:40Speaker 15: But to your point, yeah, defamation is a lot easier
- 31:43Speaker 15: in the UK, certainly than in the United States, where
- 31:46Speaker 15: we have a slightly higher threshold, especially for so called
- 31:48Speaker 15: public figures, So potentially BBC could be in a world
- 31:51Speaker 15: of herd here. Now Having said that, there are any
- 31:53Speaker 15: number of left wing judges and the British judiciary, many
- 31:56Speaker 15: of whom are probably deeply antagonistic to Donald Trump, probably
- 31:59Speaker 15: many of them praying we just utterly hate the guy.
- 32:01Speaker 15: It's not that dissimilar, frankly, from a lot of her
- 32:03Speaker 15: own American judges, who invariably suffer in these lower court
- 32:07Speaker 15: random judge ships in Hawaii and New Hampshire. When not there,
- 32:10Speaker 15: they oftentimes suffer from Trump arrangement syndrome. I presume it's
- 32:12Speaker 15: probably the same across the pond over in the UK
- 32:14Speaker 15: as well, So I would caution against necessarily saying that
- 32:18Speaker 15: this is a slam dunk case. But given Donald Trump's
- 32:22Speaker 15: track record in successfully suiting Deformation and various other media outlets,
- 32:26Speaker 15: as you correctly noted, and given the fact that defamation
- 32:28Speaker 15: laws is such a lower bar when it comes to
- 32:32Speaker 15: being the plaintiff in British law, I don't know rita
- 32:35Speaker 15: I happened to, I happen to like his changes. I
- 32:37Speaker 15: definitely would not want to be in the BBC's legal
- 32:38Speaker 15: position right now, that's for sure.
- 32:41Speaker 3: Well, it's already secured these five eight figure settlements and
- 32:47Speaker 3: other proceeds of those settlements.
- 32:48Speaker 4: Going towards the ballroom.
- 32:51Speaker 3: Is that accurate because this babac one could pay for
- 32:54Speaker 3: the whole thing.
- 32:55Speaker 4: Possibly.
- 32:57Speaker 15: Yeah, So the judgments go to different things them. I
- 33:00Speaker 15: think was the ABC settlement actually is going to help
- 33:02Speaker 15: construct the Trump Presidential Library actually after after Donald Trump's presidency,
- 33:06Speaker 15: which is it's just it's yeah, it's it's just so
- 33:09Speaker 15: thoroughly deluctable, isn't it that that ABC, which which you know,
- 33:13Speaker 15: did about as much as any other networks to try
- 33:15Speaker 15: to throw the twenty twenty four election to Kamala Harris
- 33:18Speaker 15: with their horrific debate performances and whatnot there, and now
- 33:20Speaker 15: they're trying now they're going to subsidize the Trump Presidential Library.
- 33:23Speaker 15: So on the one hand, it was that I do
- 33:25Speaker 15: think I heard that one that one of these judgments
- 33:27Speaker 15: might be subsizing the People's Ballroom there in the East
- 33:30Speaker 15: wing of the White House there. But it depends on
- 33:32Speaker 15: the judgment. But it's it's frankly from an American taxpayer
- 33:36Speaker 15: protective Rita. I just love it because these these media
- 33:38Speaker 15: outlets are frankly the people, and they should be made
- 33:40Speaker 15: to pay us.
- 33:41Speaker 3: Such I think there's not much sympathy for these media
- 33:46Speaker 3: outlets at all, all the social media outlets. Now, I
- 33:49Speaker 3: wanted to ask about this tariff revenue bonus that President
- 33:52Speaker 3: Trump is committed to sending two Americans.
- 33:56Speaker 14: That everybody went, the rich get this. That's not made up.
- 34:06Speaker 14: That's for money that comes from other countries.
- 34:09Speaker 3: Josh, A two thousand dollars dividend check to be distributed
- 34:13Speaker 3: from tariff revenue sometime next.
- 34:17Speaker 4: Year, we're told, perhaps before the midterms. Do you say
- 34:21Speaker 4: this happening?
- 34:22Speaker 3: Because there's a lot of doubts about whether these two
- 34:25Speaker 3: thousand dollar checks can be sent.
- 34:29Speaker 15: If I had to guess, I would guess probably not.
- 34:31Speaker 15: To be honest to you, this this will probably require
- 34:33Speaker 15: an Act of Congress. I think this would be very
- 34:35Speaker 15: legally dicey to try to do via executive order. I
- 34:38Speaker 15: think that even more compelling. A reason why I would
- 34:41Speaker 15: throw some skepticism as to whether or not that this
- 34:43Speaker 15: will happen is because, based on what the American people
- 34:47Speaker 15: tell polsters, including those off off your elections, two weeks
- 34:49Speaker 15: ago in New York, Senior Jers in Virginia readA The
- 34:52Speaker 15: issues that they still care most about are pertained to inflation,
- 34:55Speaker 15: cost of living, affordability, things like that. And if there's
- 34:58Speaker 15: one thing that we know from Joe Biden's spending bonanza
- 35:01Speaker 15: and the various checks in the mail during COVID, it's
- 35:03Speaker 15: that these things, over the course of a year or two,
- 35:05Speaker 15: three years the most, can tend to exacerbate inflationary fears.
- 35:09Speaker 15: And if this ministration is sympathetic to listening to the
- 35:12Speaker 15: American people when it comes to their cost of willing concerns, there,
- 35:15Speaker 15: this is the kind of thing that might sound good
- 35:17Speaker 15: in theory. I mean, who doesn't want to receive a
- 35:19Speaker 15: two thousand dollars check the mail? I mean, heck, sign
- 35:21Speaker 15: me up. That sounds great. But unfortunately there is a
- 35:25Speaker 15: downside to that when you look at it from a
- 35:26Speaker 15: more macro extrapolated perspective. There and that is potentially exacerbating inflation.
- 35:31Speaker 15: So for all these reasons, I am skeptical. But you know,
- 35:34Speaker 15: this is Donald Trump's populist mentality, right. I mean, he
- 35:37Speaker 15: sees revenue coming in for the tariffs, he wants to
- 35:39Speaker 15: share the wealth with the people. You know, these are
- 35:42Speaker 15: my big beautiful tariffs there. I want to see the
- 35:43Speaker 15: people who are proud of this tariffs but proud of
- 35:46Speaker 15: rebuilding industry, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. So I
- 35:48Speaker 15: totally understand where he's coming from his mentality there, but
- 35:51Speaker 15: from both a separation of powers perspective, I don't think
- 35:54Speaker 15: Congress would get behind you. And then also on the
- 35:56Speaker 15: inflation fears, I'm a mott skeptical as well.
- 36:00Speaker 4: Well, I'm not so sure about that.
- 36:03Speaker 3: I'm not doubting your judgment that perhaps this can't be
- 36:07Speaker 3: done and the process that had to go through, But
- 36:10Speaker 3: I reckon people would be absolutely overjoyed about getting a
- 36:15Speaker 3: two thousand dollars check and they're not going to worry
- 36:16Speaker 3: too much about how inflationary it may be down the track.
- 36:20Speaker 3: I think you are underestimating how much people love free
- 36:24Speaker 3: things and two thousand dollars, particularly because it's coming essentially
- 36:28Speaker 3: from foreign nations. If it is actually coming from tariff revenue,
- 36:31Speaker 3: the symbolism there, I think is pretty good. Now, before
- 36:35Speaker 3: you go, there's already trouble among New York City Mayor
- 36:39Speaker 3: Alex Zora and Ma'm Danny's transition team with Hassan shod Hari,
- 36:44Speaker 3: who's reportedly the political director for the Transition Committee. It's
- 36:48Speaker 3: been revealed he's been posting hate against Jews and Israel
- 36:53Speaker 3: and even.
- 36:53Speaker 4: Questioning gay rights.
- 36:54Speaker 3: Now, these social media posts are from around ten years ago,
- 36:58Speaker 3: but pretty ugly used the word Jews as a slur.
- 37:04Speaker 3: He praised former Iranian President Mahmoud, a manager who infamously
- 37:11Speaker 3: said Israel is a cancer which will be eliminated soon.
- 37:15Speaker 3: I think we're seeing now this conflict coming to fruition
- 37:19Speaker 3: between ma'm Dani's very woke supporter base and some of
- 37:25Speaker 3: the Islamist supporter base.
- 37:29Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 37:29Speaker 15: Read, I mean this has to be the least surprising
- 37:31Speaker 15: political development of my entire lifetime, right, I mean, I
- 37:33Speaker 15: mean that Zora Mamdani, someone who struggled to condemn Hama,
- 37:36Speaker 15: someone who struggled to condemn the inherently genocidal phraser from
- 37:40Speaker 15: the River to the Sea, Palestine Shelby Free, someone who
- 37:43Speaker 15: was accusing Israel of genocide before the tanks even started
- 37:47Speaker 15: rolling into Gaza, like literally on like October Ethra October ninth,
- 37:51Speaker 15: twenty twenty three, something absolutely crazy like that. I mean
- 37:54Speaker 15: obviously he's going to surround himself with people who think
- 37:56Speaker 15: and talk like this, this, this is, this is totally surprising,
- 37:59Speaker 15: I think. I think the more interesting thing to me is,
- 38:01Speaker 15: as a New York Post reporter, in the headline that
- 38:03Speaker 15: we just saw this guy was not just bashing Jews,
- 38:06Speaker 15: he was also bashing gay rights. That is interesting, right,
- 38:10Speaker 15: because that is one of the that is one of
- 38:11Speaker 15: the major planks of the current American left when it
- 38:14Speaker 15: comes to LGBT, very much cleaning transgenderism. But this actually
- 38:18Speaker 15: gets to a broader point creator that I've been making
- 38:20Speaker 15: for many years now, which is that this whole absurd,
- 38:23Speaker 15: woke intersectional identity politics coalition, this notion of a coalition
- 38:27Speaker 15: of aggrieved interests, as I call it there, it's inherently
- 38:30Speaker 15: self contradictory. If you're going to have someone who's pathetic
- 38:32Speaker 15: to radical Islam and Islamism or Sharia law, you're by
- 38:37Speaker 15: definition not going to have someone who is sympathetic to
- 38:39Speaker 15: feminism or LGBT rights. There. Think about Linda Sarsor. I mean,
- 38:43Speaker 15: she was the head of the Women's March back in
- 38:45Speaker 15: twenty seventeen, the very early datas tormentration. She also was
- 38:48Speaker 15: a Sharia law apologist. I mean square that circle for me.
- 38:51Speaker 15: The same thing with this guy that the Mandayam advisor.
- 38:54Speaker 15: I mean square this circle for me. Where you're calling
- 38:56Speaker 15: yourself a quote unquote progressive champion. It literally just does
- 38:59Speaker 15: not add up. And it all kind of underscores the
- 39:02Speaker 15: intellectual dissonance and frequly just the intellectual rapidity and stupidity
- 39:06Speaker 15: that is the modern American left.
- 39:10Speaker 4: And Linda Suzzle is on the scene.
- 39:12Speaker 3: I thought she had disappeared, but it seems like she's
- 39:15Speaker 3: been working behind the scenes. Helpings are on ma'm Danny
- 39:19Speaker 3: and others get elected. So yeah, she's still a force
- 39:24Speaker 3: to be reckoned with.
- 39:25Speaker 4: Unfortunately for America. Josh Hamma, thank you so much for
- 39:28Speaker 4: your time. Tonight still to come. What did Ariana.
- 39:31Speaker 3: Grande do to upset Sydney Sweeney is growing fan base?
- 39:35Speaker 3: Kinsey Scofield has the details.
- 39:47Speaker 4: Welcome back.
- 39:47Speaker 3: Joining me now is celebrity and royal commentator Kinseyscofield.
- 39:51Speaker 4: Kinsey. Let's start with Ariana Grande.
- 39:54Speaker 3: She has copped a little bit of criticism for failing
- 39:58Speaker 3: to use Sydney Sween his name. During a recent interview,
- 40:02Speaker 3: Grande pulled out a photograph of Sweeney during the interview
- 40:05Speaker 3: and showed it to her co star Bo and Yang
- 40:07Speaker 3: and asked, was I better than this woman? This woman Kinsey?
- 40:12Speaker 3: Why couldn't she say her name?
- 40:15Speaker 16: I mean, I think that this is fair criticism. Calling
- 40:18Speaker 16: someone that woman or this woman is a snub because
- 40:21Speaker 16: it strips them of their name, creates distance and signals
- 40:25Speaker 16: that you don't respect them. It tells the audience that
- 40:28Speaker 16: you do not see this person as worthy of acknowledgment.
- 40:32Speaker 16: This is supposed to be a silly, fun segment, but
- 40:36Speaker 16: it isn't a great look for Ariana, who wouldn't tolerate
- 40:39Speaker 16: that type of disrespect towards someone she cared about, like
- 40:42Speaker 16: a wicked coastar who she practically dry humps in every interview.
- 40:46Speaker 8: So I do think it's shocking and strange.
- 40:49Speaker 4: You and I have to.
- 40:50Speaker 3: Discuss in depth their antiques because they are getting more.
- 40:55Speaker 4: Ridiculous, more weird.
- 40:57Speaker 3: The dynamic is just so off. I don't know what's happening.
- 41:02Speaker 3: It seems very fake, But also I don't know, you're.
- 41:05Speaker 4: Uncomfortable watching it. The only good thing about it.
- 41:08Speaker 3: Is that inspires so many parodies, so many funny parodies
- 41:11Speaker 3: out there trying to copy what they're doing now. There
- 41:15Speaker 3: was a piece in The Daily Mail last week which
- 41:18Speaker 3: questioned whether Sidney Sweeney has become too toxic for Hollywood?
- 41:24Speaker 3: Tell me about this? Is this some sort of new McCarthyism. Well,
- 41:27Speaker 3: I guess it's not that new that conservatives have been
- 41:30Speaker 3: black banned, blacklisted in Hollywood for some years now. But
- 41:35Speaker 3: could she be considered too toxic just for doing a
- 41:38Speaker 3: Genes commercial that lefties didn't like?
- 41:42Speaker 16: Well, thank you for bringing up this article. What a
- 41:44Speaker 16: stupid article. It was in reference to a few box
- 41:47Speaker 16: office flaps for Sydney this year. I mean, she's got
- 41:50Speaker 16: seven upcoming projects according to IMDb. In the last twenty
- 41:54Speaker 16: four months, She's released at least sex films. She's generating
- 41:58Speaker 16: a lot of content, commercial opportunities television and film, and statistically,
- 42:04Speaker 16: not everything is going to appeal to audiences. I like her,
- 42:07Speaker 16: but I'm not going to watch a movie where she
- 42:09Speaker 16: plays a boxer. I mean, that just doesn't interest me.
- 42:12Speaker 16: But the Daily Mail suggesting that criticism from a photographer
- 42:15Speaker 16: friend of Harry and Meggan Markles somehow signifies the decline
- 42:20Speaker 16: of Sidney Sweeney is a major stretch. Her phone hasn't
- 42:24Speaker 16: stopped ringing because she's a registered Republican. In fact, she's
- 42:28Speaker 16: creating an incredibly lucrative brand. My only concern is that
- 42:33Speaker 16: I think that there might be an oversaturation.
- 42:36Speaker 8: I mean, Sydney girl.
- 42:37Speaker 16: It's okay to say no sometimes, but if you go
- 42:39Speaker 16: to the malls here, she's on every Kiosk promoting every product.
- 42:43Speaker 8: You know, She's just kind of everywhere. But otherwise, I.
- 42:47Speaker 16: Mean, I think that Sydney has a great future ahead
- 42:50Speaker 16: of her.
- 42:51Speaker 3: I think you're going to say a few more actresses
- 42:53Speaker 3: registering as Republicans if that's the outcome.
- 42:56Speaker 4: That seems to be working beautifully for her now.
- 42:59Speaker 3: Megan has faced backlash for her as Ever Christmas collection promo.
- 43:05Speaker 3: It's been described as beige and depressing.
- 43:07Speaker 4: That's a bit Harshkins, they.
- 43:09Speaker 8: Know, is it harsh?
- 43:11Speaker 11: Reta?
- 43:11Speaker 8: I mean, so you're right.
- 43:12Speaker 16: Saturday, she posted this video of her self assembling gifts
- 43:15Speaker 16: while hard selling her as Ever holiday range, which includes
- 43:19Speaker 16: a sixty four dollars candle and a mundane mold spice kit.
- 43:23Speaker 16: The visuals you just saw them. They were dark and miserable.
- 43:27Speaker 16: Brown stockings are those the literal socks from her feet
- 43:30Speaker 16: that she says she answers the door in when she's
- 43:33Speaker 16: barefoot to not intimidate her guests. You know, the guests
- 43:37Speaker 16: that she's laid eight mugs out the night before to
- 43:39Speaker 16: make her to do lists shorter. Megan Markle and Netflix
- 43:43Speaker 16: for that matter, continue desperately to position this woman in
- 43:46Speaker 16: a role she is not qualified for. And I can't
- 43:49Speaker 16: wait to talk to you on after December third, We're
- 43:53Speaker 16: going to dissect her Joyless and Familyless holiday special on
- 43:57Speaker 16: Netflix and it's going to be a blast.
- 44:00Speaker 4: I can't wait to go through that. We are going
- 44:02Speaker 4: to have some fun.
- 44:03Speaker 3: Sixty four dollar candle sixty four dollars a US. That's
- 44:06Speaker 3: about one hundred dollars Australian for a candle. I mean
- 44:09Speaker 3: that's not very accessible. That's for most people during a
- 44:13Speaker 3: cost of living crisis. Now to rumors of a potential
- 44:18Speaker 3: visit from Harry and Meghan to Australia, what can you
- 44:21Speaker 3: tell us about this?
- 44:22Speaker 4: Kickinzie?
- 44:24Speaker 16: So this Harry and Meghan have been associating with a
- 44:26Speaker 16: celebrity psychic. I know nothing will shock you less that
- 44:29Speaker 16: Harry and Megan have become friendly with a celebrity psychic.
- 44:32Speaker 8: And she posted a message from Harry and Meghan.
- 44:36Speaker 16: She blurs out some of the message, so we don't
- 44:39Speaker 16: know what event they specifically spent time at, but they
- 44:42Speaker 16: thank her for her appearance at this event and they
- 44:46Speaker 16: say that they are looking forward to visiting Australia sometime
- 44:50Speaker 16: in the near future. Rita a day late and a
- 44:53Speaker 16: dollar short. I just talked to Tom Bauer about this
- 44:55Speaker 16: because he's got a new book coming out in March
- 44:57Speaker 16: that's going to be after this is like, you know,
- 45:00Speaker 16: the sequel to Revenge. Revenge was amazing, and in Revenge
- 45:04Speaker 16: she talks about that twenty eighteen trip to Australia and
- 45:07Speaker 16: how that's where Megan really got that bug that she
- 45:11Speaker 16: was eclipsing William and Catherine the Prince and Princess of Wales,
- 45:15Speaker 16: and she was so popular that she could make her
- 45:17Speaker 16: own rules, promises and demands. And that really starts mexit
- 45:21Speaker 16: right there. And I said to Tom about why did
- 45:24Speaker 16: she not nurture this relationship with Australia more, why has she,
- 45:28Speaker 16: you know, seemingly abandoned Australia. There's a few weeks ago,
- 45:31Speaker 16: and he said, because she wanted Hollywood, so Australia knows better.
- 45:36Speaker 16: Her polling has declined significantly there. I don't think they'd
- 45:39Speaker 16: get the welcome that they would want now.
- 45:42Speaker 3: I reckon yes, when they came out, because again, I
- 45:46Speaker 3: was one of the few people who could see through her.
- 45:49Speaker 3: I don't know how not everybody saw through her because
- 45:51Speaker 3: it was so obvious.
- 45:52Speaker 4: That it was an act.
- 45:54Speaker 3: But there was adulation at the time, sort of the
- 45:58Speaker 3: treatment she was getting in the UK initially until they
- 46:00Speaker 3: figured out who she was.
- 46:03Speaker 4: But I don't think it's going to be that warm
- 46:05Speaker 4: this time around.
- 46:05Speaker 3: And I think the I think we were quicker than
- 46:09Speaker 3: the Yanks certainly to figure her out. I think, yes,
- 46:14Speaker 3: she's not going to be the Queen of Australia anytime
- 46:17Speaker 3: soon now. Comedian Jeff Dye is joining the growing wave
- 46:21Speaker 3: of entertainers or leaving Los Angeles. He was on Joe
- 46:24Speaker 3: Rogan's podcast where he expressed concern about the direction California
- 46:29Speaker 3: was taking under the leadership of Gavin Newsom.
- 46:32Speaker 2: I could be guilty of being a victim of like
- 46:36Speaker 2: what I'm absorbing in my algorithm, but like Gavin Newsom
- 46:40Speaker 2: scares out of me and I am I'm I don't
- 46:44Speaker 2: want to be a part of it.
- 46:45Speaker 14: Yeah, he wants to run the whole country too.
- 46:49Speaker 4: It's pretty wild, Kinsey.
- 46:52Speaker 3: I'm a fan of his, but I can't understand why
- 46:55Speaker 3: it's taken so long. California has been on a bad
- 46:58Speaker 3: path for some time now.
- 47:01Speaker 16: I promise you, I'm trying to get out of here.
- 47:03Speaker 16: I promise, I promise, I have I have plans. Okay,
- 47:06Speaker 16: but this is interesting because in the past, Jeff told
- 47:11Speaker 16: Tomy Lren that he would stay in California because he
- 47:14Speaker 16: just loved and believed in it. So this change of
- 47:17Speaker 16: heart is newsworthy. But those observations about Newsom. Ever since
- 47:21Speaker 16: Gavin adopted this very aggressive and desperate, inauthentic attempt at
- 47:26Speaker 16: copying the Donald Trump political playbook, he's looked completely unstable
- 47:31Speaker 16: to the point of frightening, Like what is he doing
- 47:34Speaker 16: with his hands all the time?
- 47:35Speaker 3: And is he They're always I'm moving in very odd
- 47:39Speaker 3: ways when you talk, like I talk with my hands
- 47:42Speaker 3: a lot, but not like that He's It's just bizarre.
- 47:46Speaker 3: And the whole online persona where he's trying to out
- 47:50Speaker 3: Trump Trump it does it's not working. Gavin, go back
- 47:53Speaker 3: to whatever it was you were doing, which wasn't working either,
- 47:56Speaker 3: but at least you were embarrassing yourself before you go.
- 48:00Speaker 3: Michelle Obama has continued her book to our and she.
- 48:04Speaker 4: Sat down with Tracy Ellis Rawls.
- 48:06Speaker 3: She claimed that black women are trapped by the pressure
- 48:09Speaker 3: to keep their hairs straight.
- 48:11Speaker 17: Have a listen, let me explain something to white people.
- 48:16Speaker 17: Our hair comes out of our head naturally in a
- 48:19Speaker 17: curly pattern, so when we're straightening it to follow your
- 48:23Speaker 17: beauty standards, we are trapped by the straightness. That's why
- 48:28Speaker 17: so many of us can't swim and we run away
- 48:32Speaker 17: from the water. People won't go to the gym because
- 48:35Speaker 17: we're trying to keep our hair straight.
- 48:38Speaker 3: For y'all, Kinsey, in ten seconds, sum up what's happening?
- 48:44Speaker 4: What is this misery to us she's doing. It's just
- 48:48Speaker 4: incessantly walking.
- 48:50Speaker 16: In ten seconds, I would tell you white people have
- 48:52Speaker 16: curly hair too, and I would say this is mean
- 48:54Speaker 16: spirited and a racist conversation. And what evil white woman
- 48:59Speaker 16: made her eating her hair that day? You know, I
- 49:02Speaker 16: just find this type of venomous conversation unproductive. And she
- 49:05Speaker 16: had very straight hair as she was complaining about it.
- 49:09Speaker 3: Kinsyschofield, thank you so much for your time, and that's
- 49:12Speaker 3: all the time we have Newsnight is up next.
