- 0:21Hello and welcome back.
- 0:23Today is Sunday and hereby it's time for
- 0:25another episode of our podcast.
- 0:28Today we are going to dive into one
- 0:30of the most sensational, controversial and fascinating alternative
- 0:34worldviews ever put forward.
- 0:36It concerns the origin of mankind, the meaning
- 0:39of our civilization and what awaits us in
- 0:42the future.
- 0:43The man behind it is Zacharias Sitchin, a
- 0:46Russian-born Israeli author who passed away in
- 0:512010 and who spent more than 40 years
- 0:53of his life analysing the Sumerian clay tablets,
- 0:57the Bible and the archaeological finds.
- 1:00His conclusion, humanity did not emerge through a
- 1:03random mutation, we were created and our creators
- 1:07came from another planet, a planet that appears
- 1:09in the ancient text under the name Libero.
- 1:18Today, as your host, I will guide you
- 1:20through Sitchin's framework of thoughts as it unfolds
- 1:23in the text I have in front of
- 1:25me, including his lectures and the central books
- 1:29in the Earth Chronicles series.
- 1:31I will read direct quotes from Sitchin so
- 1:34you can hear them in his own words
- 1:37or perhaps written by me.
- 1:41I will do that because, I mean, he
- 1:43passed away, so it's not possible to do
- 1:45it the other way.
- 1:45And in the end, we will turn our
- 1:47gaze on what the established science has to
- 1:51say.
- 1:52What do archaeologists, astronomers and linguists make of
- 1:56Sitchin's claims?
- 1:58You will get that too, so buckle up,
- 2:00grab a cup of coffee, because this is
- 2:02the cosmos of Zacharias Sitchin.
- 2:08Imagine standing in what is now southern Iraq
- 2:12for about 6,000 years ago.
- 2:13The area is primitive, hunters, gatherers, scattered settlements,
- 2:19and then, as Sitchin puts it, suddenly, unexpectedly,
- 2:23out of nowhere, a highly advanced civilization appears.
- 2:26The Sumerians, Sitchin says in one of his
- 2:29lectures.
- 2:33About 6,000 years ago, an incredible civilization
- 2:37appeared there.
- 2:39All those who deal with it use such
- 2:42words as suddenly, unexpectedly, out of nowhere, because
- 2:47there is no gradual or any kind of
- 2:49procedural civilization.
- 2:51Suddenly, there appear cities, high-rise buildings, societal
- 2:55organization, kings, priests, codes of law, literature, mathematics,
- 3:01arts, music, all within a very short period.
- 3:06And that is what really puzzles Sitchin.
- 3:11How could humanity, after millions of years of
- 3:13slow development, suddenly take a quantum leap?
- 3:16He underscores it with a calculation that puts
- 3:18time into perspective.
- 3:22We are about 2,000 years from the
- 3:25time of Jesus.
- 3:27That time was about 2,000 years from
- 3:30the times of Abraham.
- 3:32And another 2,000 years, and that's where
- 3:36this great civilization suddenly appeared.
- 3:45But what did that civilization entail?
- 3:48Sitchin points to three firsts.
- 3:51First, the writing system, cuneiform, which made it
- 3:54possible to write down laws, poetry, medical recipes,
- 4:00and even a recipe for cocoa wine, which
- 4:03is a chicken cooked in wine.
- 4:05Second, the cylinder seal, in great, semi-precious
- 4:09stones that printed a motif on wet clay
- 4:12like a modern rotary press.
- 4:16And third, high-rise constructions.
- 4:18The Sumerians used bricks and erected temple towers,
- 4:23these so-called sigarettes, up to 160 feet
- 4:27high.
- 4:27But the most astonishing thing, according to Sitchin,
- 4:30is their astronomical use and knowledge.
- 4:34He shows a cylinder seal from around 2
- 4:37,000 BCE.
- 4:41This seal depicts the sun, it depicts the
- 4:45earth and its moon, it depicts the asteroid
- 4:47belt, and behind Jupiter you see Saturn with
- 4:50her rings, which we did not know anything
- 4:54about until the invention of the telescope.
- 5:00So how could the Sumerians have known about
- 5:03phenomena that require advanced optics?
- 5:06Sitchin's answer is blunt.
- 5:08They were given the knowledge by someone who
- 5:10came from outside.
- 5:16And here we come to the core.
- 5:18Sitchin's first book was titled The Twelfth Planet,
- 5:21and the point is that our solar system,
- 5:27according to the Sumerians, had 12 members, not
- 5:309 planets plus the sun and moon, but,
- 5:34as Sumerians counted, the sun, the moon, and
- 5:3710 planets.
- 5:38The 10th planet, which Sitchin calls the 12th
- 5:42in the Sumerian reckoning, is Nibiru.
- 5:44And it is depicted on yet another cylinder
- 5:47seal, the so-called VA-243, that is
- 5:53now in Berlin.
- 5:54Sitchin explains.
- 5:57If you ask scholars what that scene depicts,
- 6:02their answer, it's a mythological scene where the
- 6:06gods of the early culture grant the plow
- 6:09to the mankind.
- 6:10But if you look at the celestial depiction,
- 6:13it shows a star surrounded by planets, all
- 6:17the planets we know with the correct size
- 6:20and the correct order, except there is one
- 6:23more planet right between Mars and Jupiter, where
- 6:26the asteroid belt is now.
- 6:32So how did this planet come into being?
- 6:35The Sumerians, a great creation epic called the
- 6:39Enuma Elish, described, according to Sitchin, a cosmic
- 6:42collision billions of years ago.
- 6:44I quote from his retelling.
- 6:49Once, when the solar system became into coherence,
- 6:54an invader from another solar system, a planet,
- 6:58passed near ours, was caught by the gravitational
- 7:01pull and changed course.
- 7:03It moved into the opposite direction of the
- 7:06other planets and reached great orbit.
- 7:09Eventually, it collided with one of the original
- 7:12planets, which this tech called Tiamat.
- 7:18Tiamat, a female celestial body with 11 satellites,
- 7:23was struck by Nibiru's moon, split into two.
- 7:26One half became the asteroid belt, the hammered
- 7:30bracelet, as the Bible calls it, and the
- 7:33other half, along with Tiamat's largest moon, was
- 7:37thrust into a new orbit that became our
- 7:39planet Earth and our moon.
- 7:42Sitchin points this out.
- 7:47Modern science tells us that all the continents
- 7:50used to be on the one side of
- 7:52Earth and the other side was just a
- 7:55huge cavity that was filled with water, still
- 7:58called the Pacific Ocean.
- 8:00If you read about the origin of the
- 8:03moon, it all collaborates.
- 8:04It all agrees with the Sumerian cosmology.
- 8:11Nibiru itself remained into an elongated elliptical orbit,
- 8:16bringing it back to our vicinity in approximately
- 8:193600 years, a divine year in the Sumerian
- 8:24numbering system.
- 8:31According to Sitchin, it was from Nibiru that
- 8:34the Anunnaki came.
- 8:35The name means something along those lines.
- 8:39Those who from heaven to Earth came.
- 8:43And they came with a purpose, gold.
- 8:46Basically, gold.
- 8:48Sitchin reads from Enki's autobiographical text.
- 8:54When I approached the Earth, I saw greenish
- 8:57marshes.
- 8:58We splash-landed in the waters.
- 9:01I commanded so-and-so to test the
- 9:03water for probability.
- 9:05I commanded so-and-so to build us
- 9:08a kind of a shelter.
- 9:10I commanded so-and-so to see if
- 9:13there was edible food.
- 9:18But it wasn't about sightseeing.
- 9:20The Anunnaki needed gold to protect their dwindling
- 9:24atmosphere in their own planet.
- 9:29They needed gold particles as a shield to
- 9:32protect the atmosphere on Nibiru.
- 9:36First, they tried to extract gold from the
- 9:38waters in the Persian Gulf, which failed.
- 9:42They then turned the actual mining in South
- 9:45-East Africa.
- 9:47The Anunnaki workers toiled into the mines until
- 9:51they, according to the Atrahitis epic, mutinated.
- 9:57They said, no more.
- 10:00This is not the kind of work we
- 10:01can do.
- 10:02We are astronauts.
- 10:03We are not mine workers.
- 10:05And there was a great consternation among the
- 10:09leadership what to do.
- 10:14The solution became mankind.
- 10:22Enki, the scientist among the Anunnaki, proposed taking
- 10:26an already existing creature, Homo Erectus, and upgrading
- 10:31its genetic sequences.
- 10:35Enki said, all we have to do is
- 10:38to put our mark on it, our genetic
- 10:40mark, and thereby raise that being more to
- 10:46our level so it could follow our command,
- 10:50understand our language, and do the work for
- 10:52us.
- 10:55The creation story is found in detail in
- 10:58Sumerian text.
- 10:59Through trial and error attempts, Enki and his
- 11:02half-sister, Nihursag, mixed their genes with those
- 11:07of Homo Erectus and created what they called
- 11:10the perfect model, Lulu Alilu, the first human.
- 11:14Sitchin quotes the goddess Triumph Cry.
- 11:20She shouted, my hands have made it, and
- 11:23that, ladies and gentlemen, is how we came
- 11:25about.
- 11:29He points to the striking parallel to the
- 11:31book of Genesis, where the Elohim, in the
- 11:34plural, the lofty ones, say, let us fashion
- 11:38the atom in our image and after our
- 11:41likeness.
- 11:45Atom means earthling because he was made from
- 11:48the elements of the earth and from the
- 11:50essence of the god.
- 11:52Sitchin quotes a Sumerian text.
- 11:56The body of man was fashioned from a
- 12:00mixture of god blood and the clay of
- 12:03earth.
- 12:07And Homo Erectus was put into work in
- 12:10the mines and later in the gardens of
- 12:12Eden.
- 12:15According to Sitchin, the flood was not God's
- 12:19punishment for the human sinfulness.
- 12:22It was a predictable nature disaster triggered by
- 12:24the end of an ice age when enormous
- 12:27ice masses slid into the sea.
- 12:30Anunnaki knew this was coming but swore to
- 12:33keep it hidden from mankind except for Enki
- 12:36who instructed Atrahitis, or should I say Noah,
- 12:39to build an ark.
- 12:40Sitchin recounts, When the storm began, the Anunnaki
- 12:46took off in their shuttlecraft and remained in
- 12:49earth orbit until the waters began to subside.
- 12:54They saw Mankat dying below and the goddess
- 12:58Nyuhasak lamented, My creatures have become like flies.
- 13:04After the flood, the Anunnaki had to rebuild
- 13:07their infrastructure.
- 13:08They could no longer use the mud-covered
- 13:10Mesopotamia, so they laid out a new landing
- 13:13corridor with four central spaces-related sites.
- 13:18The twin peaks of the Ararat Mountains as
- 13:20a marker, the new mission control center in
- 13:22Jerusalem, and a spade port on the Sinai
- 13:26Pendula, and the artificial twin mountains, or should
- 13:32I say the Pyramids of Giza.
- 13:34Sitchin emphasized, Jerusalem was chosen as mission control
- 13:39because it lay equidistantly from the other points,
- 13:43exactly as Nippur has done before the flood.
- 13:53So why is Jerusalem sacred?
- 13:56For the Muslims, because Muhammad ascended to heaven
- 13:59from there.
- 14:00For the Christians, because Jesus ministered and died
- 14:03there.
- 14:03For the Jews, because the temple stood there.
- 14:06But Sitchin asked, why precisely there?
- 14:08There's no river, there's no resources, there's no
- 14:11strategic trade routes.
- 14:14The locations make no sense, unless you know
- 14:17the Anunnaki landing pattern.
- 14:19He reveals, The Temple Mount is an artificial
- 14:24platform built by colossal stone blocks weighing up
- 14:27to 600 tons, much larger than the 25
- 14:31tons blocks in the Great Pyramid.
- 14:34The western wall was excavated, a trillion tons
- 14:39was found, three gigantic stones side by side,
- 14:42exactly as in Baalbek in Lebanon.
- 14:48Baalbek, according to Sitchin, was the actual landing
- 14:52platform for the spacecraft.
- 14:54He mentioned the Epic of Gilgamesh, where the
- 14:57hero witnesses a rocket launch.
- 15:03The heavens shrieked, the earth boomed, through daylight
- 15:08was drawing, darkness came, lightning flashed, a flame
- 15:13shot up, the clouds swelled, it rained death.
- 15:17Then the glow vanished, the fire went out,
- 15:20and all that had fallen was turned into
- 15:23ashes.
- 15:28A Phoenician coin from that era even depicted
- 15:31the rocket on a piteous hill.
- 15:36The Anunnaki were, however, not an anonymous family.
- 15:41Clan feuds between Enlil and Enki's lineages escalated
- 15:45into war.
- 15:46Sitchin describes the Pyramid War, in which the
- 15:49two sides fought for control over the landing
- 15:51facilities.
- 15:52Eventually, around 2024 BCE, they used nuclear weapons.
- 16:01In a text called the Era Epic, it
- 16:04is described how nuclear weapons were launched against
- 16:07the spaceport in C9.
- 16:09The crater can still be seen from space,
- 16:12and the wind carried the radioactive cloud towards
- 16:15Sumer.
- 16:17The city stood, but all living things were
- 16:19dead.
- 16:20That was the end of the Sumerian civilization.
- 16:27It was after this Sitchin believed that the
- 16:29story of Sodoma and Gomorrah arose as an
- 16:32echo of this catastrophe.
- 16:39In his later years, Sitchin worked with the
- 16:41biblical prophecies about the end of days.
- 16:46He distinguished between the Day of the Lord,
- 16:49which is the physical return of Nibiru, and
- 16:52the end of days, which is an era
- 16:54ending when the Anunnaki returns.
- 16:58He explains that as Nibiru approaches, its symbol
- 17:03shifts from the wing dish to the cross,
- 17:06which is why the cross symbol begins to
- 17:09appear in the Mesopotamia, in Egypt and Assyria
- 17:12around 1000 BCE.
- 17:16Each time that reappearance of Nibiru was expected,
- 17:22the depiction, the symbol for Nibiru changed from
- 17:26the wing dish to the cross.
- 17:29This is not a new sign invented at
- 17:31the time of Jesus.
- 17:32That is a very ancient Sumerian sign.
- 17:38The last time Nibiru was near Earth, as
- 17:40Sitchin calculated, was in 556 BCE, when an
- 17:47unexpected solar eclipse occurred.
- 17:50With an orbital period of roughly 3600 years,
- 17:57it makes no sense that the world should
- 18:00end in 2012, as some Maya calculator has
- 18:06claimed.
- 18:092012 does not work.
- 18:11The only thing that is certain about 2012
- 18:13is that there is another presidential election.
- 18:18Nibiru does not come in 2012.
- 18:21It may come within our century, still within
- 18:25the age of the Pisces.
- 18:30Sitchin refers to Sir Isaac Newton's handwritten calculations
- 18:34of the Daniel prophecies, where the number 2160
- 18:40occurs.
- 18:41That is a zodiac age of 2160 years,
- 18:46and it is precisely at Armageddon.
- 18:50A church that was discovered in the early
- 18:532000s, with a mosaic floor depicting Pisces.
- 19:03I believe these things are omen.
- 19:07What will happen, I don't know.
- 19:09But the biblical prophecies say, at a time
- 19:13of the tribulience, will come before the god
- 19:18returns and set things right.
- 19:25A fascinating side of the aspect of the
- 19:28attached text are the so-called mixed creatures.
- 19:32Perhaps you know these things.
- 19:34A human head on a lion body.
- 19:37And it's not just symbolic.
- 19:39According to Sitchin and the related author Erik
- 19:43van Dyneken, who lectures, this is also in
- 19:45my material here.
- 19:49The god created mixed creatures through genetic manipulation.
- 19:54Not as a fantasy, but as a functional
- 19:56being for different planets.
- 19:58A lion's strength combined with a crocodile's heat
- 20:02-resistant skin are ideal for a hot planet.
- 20:07In Saqqara in Egypt, archaeologist Auguste Mariette discovered
- 20:13gigantic sarcophagi containing bones from different animals, smashed
- 20:18and buried into bitumen.
- 20:21Sitchin's interpretation is that the god is preventing
- 20:24these manipulated hybrids from ever resurrecting in the
- 20:28afterlife.
- 20:30This underscores his point.
- 20:32The old gods were genetic engineers using DNA
- 20:36technology long before we have any conceptual knowledge
- 20:41of it.
- 20:45Those were the words of Sitchin.
- 20:47But how does the established science take this?
- 20:52I will try to do that in this
- 20:54final section, where I will try to tell
- 21:00what they think of it.
- 21:01We will start with astronomy and planetary science.
- 21:06Astronomers completely reject the existence of Nibiru on
- 21:10a 3,600-year orbit that will bring
- 21:14it into the inner solar system.
- 21:16Such an orbit would be unstable and would
- 21:19either reject the planet from the system or
- 21:22cause it to collide.
- 21:24The asteroid belt is, according to modern science,
- 21:27not debris from an exploded planet, but material
- 21:30that was never created into a planet due
- 21:33to Jupiter's gravity.
- 21:37The Sumerians' astronomical knowledge, while it is impressive,
- 21:42has no evidence of knowledge of Uranus, Neptune,
- 21:44and Pluto, planets that require telescopes.
- 21:48The cylinder seal called VA-243, which Sitchin
- 21:53uses as his main evidence, is dismissed by
- 21:57the astrologist with a simple rendering of stars,
- 22:03not our solar system.
- 22:05And the number of dots does not even
- 22:07match the elliptical configuration.
- 22:11If we look into the history and the
- 22:13archaeology, then Sumerologists like Samuel Cramer and others
- 22:18point out that Sitchin grossly mistranslates and plucks
- 22:22text out of context.
- 22:23For instance, the word Sheem is not a
- 22:27rocket ship, but means name of Reno.
- 22:30The Sigurads were temples, not spaceports.
- 22:33Baalbek's giant stones remain an engineering puzzle.
- 22:39But there is no genuine indication of pre
- 22:42-Roman space family technology, and the pyramids were,
- 22:46in all its probability, built by the Egyptians
- 22:49in the Old Kingdom, dated precisely in which
- 22:53archaeological and historical methods.
- 22:57In terms of genetics and biology, the idea
- 22:59that the humans were created through genetic manipulation
- 23:04300,000 years ago is contradicted by fossil
- 23:07finds and DNA sequence, which shows a gradual
- 23:11evolution over millions of years.
- 23:13Our genome shares 98-99% with chimpanzees,
- 23:19but the differences are fully compatible with natural
- 23:22selections and mutation.
- 23:24There is no crossbreed with extraterrestrials.
- 23:28And if we look at the biblical, then
- 23:29Sitchin's reading of the Bible according to theologians
- 23:33is a misinterpretation.
- 23:35Nifilin, can, means the fallen ones, and refers
- 23:38in context to violent men, not to astronauts.
- 23:42The Elohim plural form is a linguistic, myaesthetic
- 23:46plural, not a group of space gods.
- 23:49Sitchin's imposed a modern space age upon ancient
- 23:53mythology.
- 23:54So, in summary, Sitchin's hypothesis is considered by,
- 23:59should we say, the scientific consensus as pseudoscience.
- 24:03Imaginative, but lack of evidence.
- 24:06Nevertheless, one cannot deny that it raises questions
- 24:11about humanity's fate.
- 24:14So, the conclusion, yeah.
- 24:24The conclusion is that by the end of
- 24:26the day, you have to conclude yourself in
- 24:28which you want to believe.
- 24:30Zachary Sitchin, or should we say the established
- 24:32science, I'm personally not so sure about it.
- 24:37I prefer to trust in the scientific community.
- 24:45However, I have a big problem because the
- 24:48alleged methods should also be able to create
- 24:51these kind of things.
- 24:52And one of the key things that the
- 24:56modern science is not able to, is precision.
- 24:59Even that you are able to do this
- 25:03manufacturing of, say, pyramids or the sacrifice in
- 25:07Saqqara and so on, you still need to
- 25:12achieve the precision.
- 25:14And nobody ever, to my knowledge, has found
- 25:16the measurement things that are required to do
- 25:21so.
- 25:22For me, it's not a discussion if you
- 25:24are using an angel grinder as a power
- 25:26tool or you are using a pounding stone
- 25:29and copper chisel.
- 25:30That's not the key thing.
- 25:32The key thing is that how do we
- 25:34apply it with that precision that is demonstrated.
- 25:37And here, the modern science is lacking, seriously,
- 25:43to put it bluntly.
- 25:44So for me, it's two different explanations.
- 25:50You can pick the one you like, but
- 25:52facts is that the alleged construction measures proposed
- 25:58by the modern science does not work.
- 26:01You can do it yourself.
- 26:02I mean, even with an angel grinder, you
- 26:04cannot apply a precision of a thousandth of
- 26:07a millimeter.
- 26:08But that is actually what they are doing,
- 26:10some of the statues and other constructions.
- 26:13Anyway, have a nice day and see you
- 26:15again next week.
