David Tamihere, the convicted killer of two Swedish tourists from 1989, is back in court after his original conviction was overturned by the Supreme Court just four months ago. The Crown is requesting eight more weeks to decide whether to pursue a retrial, as the top court found the original trial unfair and the prosecution’s theory about the victims’ fate never proven.
