- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, that Uh, Chuck Norris was chasing the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
- 0:05Speaker 1: The rex was not chasing the jeep. Murray, Murray, you there.
- 0:10Speaker 1: You love sandwiches. Huh, Let's go to uh eighty.
- 0:13Speaker 2: He was bo.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Wow that prime time. Maybe I had a crush on
- 0:18Speaker 1: Betty Rubbell. I honestly, until after the segment ended and
- 0:22Speaker 1: we went to commercial break, had no idea that Jonathan
- 0:24Speaker 1: Coachman was black. He caught them the game last night,
- 0:27Speaker 1: although they won the game. You're listening just to Godson Company.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Well, hello more cock bit, Well hello Stu Gotts.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Where's the sharpie today? No sharpie in your mouth? What's
- 0:40Speaker 1: going on right there? Baby? And if that one runs out? Yeah,
- 0:46Speaker 1: I got an order two ready to roll. Yeah. Yeah,
- 0:49Speaker 1: he knew I was gonna ask Taylor. That's why you
- 0:51Speaker 1: had him so handy.
- 0:52Speaker 3: I mean, and really, I've been walking around with sharpies
- 0:55Speaker 3: ever since I declared that on this program.
- 0:58Speaker 2: He's a great prop comic I am.
- 1:01Speaker 3: I'm one of the I would put myself on the
- 1:02Speaker 3: mount Rushmore of prop comics. You've got, of course, Carrot
- 1:06Speaker 3: top right Gallaghers that considered a prop comic. I mean,
- 1:10Speaker 3: it was really two props a sledgehammer and a watermelon.
- 1:13Speaker 1: H yeah, but they are props. Nonetheless, that makes right, Well,
- 1:16Speaker 1: can you be.
- 1:16Speaker 3: A prop comic if you only use two props for
- 1:19Speaker 3: fifty years?
- 1:20Speaker 1: When I think prop comics, Gallagher certainly comes to mind,
- 1:24Speaker 1: just right. So I think they've got time to the
- 1:26Speaker 1: way I do it, you know, carrot Top Gallagher. Man.
- 1:32Speaker 3: I know that there's been debate on on Dan's show
- 1:35Speaker 3: about Steve Martin being a prop comic. Doesn't Boog consider
- 1:39Speaker 3: Steve Martin to be a prop comic because he used
- 1:41Speaker 3: to do the arrow through the head had a banjo?
- 1:44Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, he'sop comic.
- 1:47Speaker 4: Though, would you consider a ventriloquist a prop comic? Since
- 1:50Speaker 4: the dollar question? Great question? So is is Jeff Dunham
- 1:55Speaker 4: and Peanut? Now I think it's a separate category. I
- 1:58Speaker 4: think ventriloquist is a separate category. Yes, yes, because I'll
- 2:02Speaker 4: drop a Waylon and Madam.
- 2:04Speaker 1: On your ass.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Now that's only for me, Dennis Miller and dfo those
- 2:08Speaker 3: are the only three people that would find that entertaining.
- 2:11Speaker 3: But and maybe John Keller. But that's it, Waylon, Madam,
- 2:15Speaker 3: Whyalon and Madam John? So I'm looking up a list here,
- 2:19Speaker 3: which I know I shouldn't be doing. But Jonathan Winters
- 2:21Speaker 3: is on there, Carrattop is on. There was a prop comic.
- 2:25Speaker 3: I thought he was just a stand up comediant, you
- 2:27Speaker 3: know what I thought. Yeah.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Also, I'll tell you this, Hawk, going back to when
- 2:33Speaker 1: you were a kid, Horpo.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Marx, That's where I got my prop comic Chops bunch
- 2:39Speaker 3: of the Marks Brothers at the local comedy store.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Taylor told me off air before we started that he
- 2:48Speaker 1: heard the worst take he's ever heard in his entire life,
- 2:51Speaker 1: courtesy of you and your show. It make me blush.
- 2:54Speaker 1: That's a pretty good place to start he's ever heard.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Go ahead, Taylor.
- 3:01Speaker 5: So there's been a few takes that Hawk has had
- 3:04Speaker 5: where I'm like, I'm gonna bite my tongue. I'm not
- 3:08Speaker 5: willing to fight this battle when I have the war
- 3:11Speaker 5: in mind. Then he said something so egregious that I
- 3:15Speaker 5: was like, this is this is the time I have.
- 3:17Speaker 2: To speak up. He said.
- 3:19Speaker 5: Robert California's episodes in the office when he was the
- 3:23Speaker 5: boss of dunder Mifflin were better than the episodes of
- 3:26Speaker 5: when Michael Scott.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Was It's it's I have to tell you, so I
- 3:32Speaker 3: have a very strong take on the Office, which I
- 3:35Speaker 3: consider to be the best sitcom of all time, really time.
- 3:38Speaker 3: For many years I considered it to be Seinfeld, and
- 3:42Speaker 3: I am of the belief that The Office is the
- 3:44Speaker 3: best sitcom of all time. The Michael Scott episodes are brilliant.
- 3:48Speaker 3: There are some clunkers in there. The Will Ferrell story arc,
- 3:54Speaker 3: which was di'angelo Vickers, is the worst thing, that might
- 3:59Speaker 3: be the worst sitcom arc in the history of sitcoms.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Will Ferrell was just not funny, and they all had
- 4:06Speaker 3: to pretend that he was funny.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Wait a second, they did the impossible by making Will
- 4:11Speaker 1: Ferrell not funny.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Well, I mean, if you really want to get into
- 4:14Speaker 3: a controversial take, I don't think Will Ferrell is very
- 4:17Speaker 3: funny in any of his movies. He is on the
- 4:19Speaker 3: Mount Rushmore of SNL sketch comic members. His sketches on
- 4:25Speaker 3: SNL are probably pound four pound the funniest maybe since
- 4:30Speaker 3: Eddie Murphy and Joe Piscopo.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Wow. But his movies, they're the same thing over and over.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Holmes and Watson step Brothers is straight up garbage.
- 4:43Speaker 1: I mean straight up garbage.
- 4:45Speaker 3: There's not a funny thing in that movie, and in
- 4:50Speaker 3: the Office he comes in, he's just preening and doing
- 4:53Speaker 3: that Will Ferrell bullshit towards the camera and it's annoying.
- 4:57Speaker 3: But when James Spader takes over his Robert California, there's
- 5:02Speaker 3: not a single week episode in the season. It's the
- 5:07Speaker 3: greatest season of The Office, period, end of story. Now
- 5:13Speaker 3: do I have one like? I think maybe the top
- 5:15Speaker 3: episode ever is Michael Scott The Dinner Party. That to
- 5:19Speaker 3: me is probably the best episode of the Office. It
- 5:21Speaker 3: hits on every level. But Robert California the Pool Party.
- 5:26Speaker 3: You can't tell me that that doesn't deliver on the
- 5:28Speaker 3: same cringe level that the Michael Scott Dinner Party does.
- 5:32Speaker 1: So I don't waiver on that take, Taylor.
- 5:36Speaker 3: The Robert California season is better than any complete season
- 5:40Speaker 3: that Michael Scott had. And the D'Angelo Vickers story arc
- 5:44Speaker 3: is the worst thing The Office ever foisted upon an
- 5:47Speaker 3: adoring public.
- 5:49Speaker 1: So I never watched The Office, Taylor, what is your issue?
- 5:52Speaker 1: And so I have to watch it because when Hawk
- 5:54Speaker 1: is saying it's better than Seinfeld, it's better than Larry David,
- 5:57Speaker 1: better than Curb, he loves those shows, and so I
- 5:59Speaker 1: need to watch this show because that means it's very good,
- 6:01Speaker 1: and I trust Hawk's judgment. What is your problem with
- 6:04Speaker 1: the take, though, Taylor.
- 6:05Speaker 5: Because the office is Michael Scott, when Michael Scott, when
- 6:09Speaker 5: Michael Scott leaves the office.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Yeah, kock it up.
- 6:13Speaker 2: The show's over. The show is completely over.
- 6:17Speaker 1: It's gonna get better. Right, it should be over. Taylor's right,
- 6:20Speaker 1: it should be over. It wasn't.
- 6:23Speaker 3: It got now got weak because the the di'angelo Vickers
- 6:27Speaker 3: episodes were so bad, but then it got good again.
- 6:29Speaker 1: And then when Andy Bernard is.
- 6:31Speaker 3: The office manager, it's excellent, Like the show didn't miss
- 6:34Speaker 3: a beat. It's this is why it's controversial. Stu Gotts
- 6:38Speaker 3: to say that the Michael Scott episodes were not the
- 6:41Speaker 3: best episodes would be a kin to me saying the
- 6:45Speaker 3: Mantas Buzellis Josh Giddy era of the Chicago Bulls is
- 6:50Speaker 3: better than the MJ. Scotti era, which, by the way,
- 6:53Speaker 3: I am toying with as a take. The more I
- 6:56Speaker 3: watch Gideon Boozy together, I am toying with that as
- 7:00Speaker 3: a take.
- 7:02Speaker 1: You're work shopping in ears. That what you're workshopping in
- 7:05Speaker 1: my head.
- 7:06Speaker 3: I don't know if I'm ready to go on record
- 7:08Speaker 3: with that, but Madas Buzzellis and Josh Giddy together, I
- 7:12Speaker 3: mean when they had Io Desumu too, they traded him away,
- 7:14Speaker 3: But when they had Io like that, I mean I'd
- 7:17Speaker 3: put that big three up against any big three in
- 7:19Speaker 3: NBA history.
- 7:20Speaker 5: I was gonna say, Michael Jordan and Pippin they just
- 7:22Speaker 5: need to kind of find their Rodman.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Now that's right.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Well they had it with Iyo Desumu. Yes, definitely a
- 7:28Speaker 3: Patrick Williams. They get garbage bus, a little bit of everything. Yes,
- 7:32Speaker 3: it was man that team. I'm telling you, Boozy and
- 7:35Speaker 3: Giddy for a pound for pound entertainment dollar, I'm almost ready.
- 7:39Speaker 1: To put them up against m J and Scotti. By
- 7:42Speaker 1: the way, James Spader one of the underrated. It's such
- 7:44Speaker 1: a ridiculous comment. James Spader one of the underrated actors
- 7:47Speaker 1: of our time.
- 7:48Speaker 3: So one of the greatest American actors of our generation
- 7:51Speaker 3: is you don't watch him in less than zero and
- 7:55Speaker 3: say that's one of the greatest acting performances I've ever
- 7:58Speaker 3: seen in.
- 7:58Speaker 1: My life, then you've never seen less than zero. I
- 8:03Speaker 1: also wonder if Taylor knows who Joe Piscopo is. No chance.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I don't even know if he knows m jan and Scottie. Well, no,
- 8:11Speaker 1: you said Eddie Murphy and Joe Piscopo. You know who
- 8:13Speaker 1: Eddie Murphy is, right.
- 8:16Speaker 2: I do? Yes, Really, Joe Piscopal does not sound.
- 8:22Speaker 1: For no chance. Yeah, okay, I look him up. He
- 8:24Speaker 1: was a comedian who was also I think he was
- 8:26Speaker 1: a bodybuilder. He became a bodybuilder.
- 8:28Speaker 3: He was one of the first like actors that all
- 8:30Speaker 3: of a sudden, was jacked one day. And you know
- 8:32Speaker 3: what he's doing now, his talk show host in New York. Really,
- 8:35Speaker 3: I didn't know that.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Yeah, he works on w O R. Wow. Taylor, look up.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Joe Piscoba will make you laugh. Taylor's outraged by your take.
- 8:46Speaker 1: So you're saying, this is the rare time where a
- 8:49Speaker 1: show was built around a character and an actor. He
- 8:52Speaker 1: leads h Taylor saying, pack it up, show is over.
- 8:56Speaker 1: You're saying, no, unpack it's just getting started essentially, right.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Yeah, And it was surprising because in most situations that
- 9:03Speaker 3: happens and it falls apart.
- 9:04Speaker 1: I wasn't a big fan of Roseanne.
- 9:06Speaker 3: I remember watching the first iteration and then she got
- 9:09Speaker 3: fired in the second iteration. It became the Connors, and
- 9:13Speaker 3: I'm imagining it didn't you know? Hold up, I really
- 9:16Speaker 3: have to really have to go back and look at it.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Like when a main character leaves a TV show, right,
- 9:24Speaker 3: does the show thrive at all?
- 9:27Speaker 1: Ever? You know what I mean?
- 9:28Speaker 3: Like it Charlie Sheen left that show. I never watched it,
- 9:32Speaker 3: But what was the show with John two and a
- 9:34Speaker 3: half Men? Two and a half Men? Charlie Sheen left,
- 9:36Speaker 3: Ashton Kutcher.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Can I stopped watching what Charlie left? Yeah? Really so? Yeah?
- 9:41Speaker 3: So I would imagine that's what happens with most shows.
- 9:44Speaker 3: I'm just telling And I love the Michael Scott episodes.
- 9:46Speaker 3: I'm not telling you that those were bad. It's my
- 9:48Speaker 3: favorite sitcom of all time. I'm just telling you. The
- 9:51Speaker 3: Robert California season delivered pound for pound, inch for inch
- 9:57Speaker 3: every single episode. There was never a week episodsode, And
- 10:01Speaker 3: there were clunkers in the Michael Scott era and just
- 10:04Speaker 3: were I'm.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Just trying to think of other shows and if they
- 10:07Speaker 1: got better once the uh, Like I'm trying to imagine
- 10:10Speaker 1: like Three's Company, h if Jack left, you know, John Riders,
- 10:15Speaker 1: Chrissy left. Chris Chrissy did leave, right, but they were
- 10:17Speaker 1: more interchangeable than he was.
- 10:19Speaker 3: You know, well she didn't think so, but yeah, she
- 10:23Speaker 3: Chrissy who was Susanne Summers. She was replaced by Terry right,
- 10:28Speaker 3: it was Terry. Who the hell? I don't know, but
- 10:30Speaker 3: there were several women that ended up playing that role.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Chrissy was the best, though Susanne Summers was the best.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Yes. Uh. Taylor also was telling me Hawk that he
- 10:43Speaker 1: is ready to admit that there's a show out there
- 10:47Speaker 1: that might not be for him, and so I don't
- 10:49Speaker 1: know what it is he's talking about. I'm going to
- 10:51Speaker 1: be stuck on this all day. People who let the
- 10:53Speaker 1: main characters who left a show and then the show
- 10:55Speaker 1: got better after that person lift. I don't want to
- 10:59Speaker 1: think I'm just kidding say that it got better.
- 11:02Speaker 3: I'm just saying the season of Robert California was better
- 11:05Speaker 3: than any other complete season in the office.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Yes, this is typical me without ever seeing a second
- 11:11Speaker 1: of the show. I'm with Taylor.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Seems to him on.
- 11:18Speaker 1: An island on this one. There's very few people.
- 11:20Speaker 3: There's a lot of people who like the Robert California
- 11:23Speaker 3: story arc, but they won't go as far as I
- 11:25Speaker 3: will go, and I'm pretty sure I'm the only person
- 11:27Speaker 3: who's got the boozy giddy take over MJ and Scotti.
- 11:31Speaker 1: If any you are, if anyone left, I'm trying to
- 11:36Speaker 1: think of a show, if anyone left, Seinfeld, would that
- 11:38Speaker 1: be would you call it quits after that? If any
- 11:40Speaker 1: of the main characters, would you have said, no way,
- 11:43Speaker 1: it's gonna be good. You would assume that it would
- 11:46Speaker 1: fall off. But they had a gift.
- 11:49Speaker 3: I don't know, but I mean the Sopranos, they would
- 11:53Speaker 3: knock main characters off, right, I mean, but again, Tony
- 11:57Speaker 3: was always Tony, and Paul all the walnuts there.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Yeah, like the the main guys. I don't know.
- 12:06Speaker 3: I'd be hard pressed to think of a sitcom or
- 12:11Speaker 3: any TV show that I think so highly of to
- 12:15Speaker 3: lose the guy who made the show. And Taylor's correct,
- 12:19Speaker 3: Michaels from Top Gun, this is like losing Maverick from
- 12:23Speaker 3: Top Don.
- 12:23Speaker 1: You're exactly right, Yes, you're exactly right, Taylor. What's the
- 12:27Speaker 1: show that's not for you? What is it?
- 12:29Speaker 2: So?
- 12:30Speaker 5: I'm watching like all the award show seasons for for
- 12:33Speaker 5: TV shows, the bear cleans up every time there's an
- 12:37Speaker 5: award show for television.
- 12:39Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, let me. I'm like, let me give
- 12:43Speaker 2: this this.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Show more of bears.
- 12:45Speaker 3: Oh godta go Walter, And of course, yeah, we gotta
- 12:48Speaker 3: go Walter Payton.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Jack Nicholas.
- 12:52Speaker 1: What you said about Jack Nicholas the Golden Bear, Well,
- 12:55Speaker 1: I was talking about Chicago Bears.
- 12:57Speaker 3: I was like, does Taylor know Jack Nicholas was a golfer?
- 13:00Speaker 3: So you're saying all bears, all bears, I bear, you
- 13:03Speaker 3: can think of it, yes, yo, Bear Peyton. I was
- 13:06Speaker 3: gonna go Dick, but Gus.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Well keep going.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Caleb Williams is prombing there. Who Caleb Williams.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Oh, he's got to be there. Yeah, I was thinking
- 13:20Speaker 1: he would go Walter Payton, you would go Gary Fencik.
- 13:23Speaker 3: Thinking, well, I think Doug Plank before Gary Fensick. I
- 13:27Speaker 3: might have to go Gail Sayers, might have to do
- 13:30Speaker 3: the fridge just for the enjoyment. Actually, I put Dick
- 13:32Speaker 3: guy on there. Yeah, Coach John Sidlerman sid Luckman of course.
- 13:36Speaker 3: And Bob Avellini, the old Kicker Rob. Yes, Bob Parsons,
- 13:44Speaker 3: the punter from nineteen seventy six.
- 13:47Speaker 5: So Stu, I'm watching the Bear and I'm talking to
- 13:50Speaker 5: some people that are watching they're like, you gotta just
- 13:53Speaker 5: give it a chance.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Get to season two.
- 13:55Speaker 5: I get to season two, They're like, got to get
- 13:57Speaker 5: to season three, and now I'm thinking, how much time
- 14:00Speaker 5: am I gonna dedicate to this show where I'm not
- 14:02Speaker 5: really enjoying it or loving it? And the whole premise
- 14:05Speaker 5: just seems to be they're in a kitchen. Everybody's kind
- 14:08Speaker 5: of yelling at each other. There's no really story developing.
- 14:11Speaker 5: It's just a hectic scene that kind of gets your
- 14:15Speaker 5: anxiety going. And then the next day starts and you
- 14:18Speaker 5: kind of just start over with a new problem in
- 14:21Speaker 5: the kitchen.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Right listen, I hate I'm telling you this right now.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Stop telling me to wait until next season. How about
- 14:28Speaker 1: Be Good episode one, season one. Hook me in and
- 14:32Speaker 1: then I'll stay with you through the bad times. Okay,
- 14:34Speaker 1: but stop telling me, no, the show gets good season three.
- 14:37Speaker 1: People told me that about that with Breaking Bad. It
- 14:39Speaker 1: was roy No, you got to get to six episodes
- 14:42Speaker 1: through get through six episodes? Now, how about you entertain me?
- 14:46Speaker 1: Second one, episode one, season one? Why do I have
- 14:49Speaker 1: to wait six episodes? Be good? Gotta you gotta go
- 14:52Speaker 1: to this concert? Wait till she gets to the eighth song.
- 14:55Speaker 1: You're really gonna enjoy it.
- 14:57Speaker 3: But I will say this, Season two of the Bear, yeah,
- 15:03Speaker 3: I have maintained, is the best season of television I've
- 15:06Speaker 3: ever watched.
- 15:07Speaker 1: In my life.
- 15:08Speaker 3: Wow, Season two of the Bear, listen to what I'm saying, Taylor,
- 15:14Speaker 3: is the best season of television I've ever watched in
- 15:18Speaker 3: my life. I was told to watch The Bear as
- 15:20Speaker 3: well season one. I was like, huh, I enjoy it.
- 15:24Speaker 3: I'm wondering why people are raving about it. They just
- 15:26Speaker 3: announced that season five is gonna be the last season,
- 15:28Speaker 3: by the way, which is why he's bringing it up.
- 15:30Speaker 3: But then season two was the best season of television
- 15:34Speaker 3: I have ever watched.
- 15:37Speaker 2: So I have a shaveful emission.
- 15:39Speaker 5: When people told me that I had to get to
- 15:41Speaker 5: season two, I didn't get to season two.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Oh I thought you were gonna say you skipped season
- 15:46Speaker 3: one and just started season two right He's impatient, though,
- 15:49Speaker 3: He's like me, you know, like, let's get to the
- 15:51Speaker 3: sex right away. A good season of television. Now I'm
- 15:54Speaker 3: a little tired of the Bear. I've got some friends.
- 15:57Speaker 3: We do this on our text thread by sending videos.
- 16:00Speaker 1: His whole shtick.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Is just looking in the camera and he's always confused.
- 16:06Speaker 3: I forget who plays the bear, but he's like a
- 16:08Speaker 3: Disney actors. Huh, this is his whole, this is the bear.
- 16:12Speaker 3: It's just he can never he can't commit. He can't,
- 16:15Speaker 3: he can't. It's it's a it's a little off putting
- 16:18Speaker 3: at times, but that there's some characters on that show
- 16:21Speaker 3: Man that show, and it's set in Chicago, which I love.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Yes, Taylor, if he's telling, no one has consumed more television,
- 16:28Speaker 1: especially sitcom TV, than Mark Cockbin, so he is telling.
- 16:32Speaker 1: The funny thing is, I'm not even a huge TV watcher.
- 16:35Speaker 3: I really am not. He's He's mentioned two shows that
- 16:38Speaker 3: I watch. I've never seen Breaking Bad. Speaking of Roy,
- 16:41Speaker 3: Roy's tried to get me to watch Breaking Bad and Scrubs.
- 16:44Speaker 1: I still Breaking Bad.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I've never seen any of those. I've never seen
- 16:49Speaker 3: Game of Thrones. There's just a million shows I've never seen.
- 16:54Speaker 3: I have seen every episode of House Hunters and house
- 16:57Speaker 3: Hunters International though I've never missed an episode. There's forty
- 17:00Speaker 3: five seasons and I think there's three hundred episodes a season.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Are you like me? As you get older? All I
- 17:06Speaker 1: want to watch is like twenty twenty int Dateline. I
- 17:09Speaker 1: want to Dateline non stop. I'll I tell my wife.
- 17:14Speaker 1: My wife's like, why are you always searching for murder?
- 17:16Speaker 3: I'm like, I always tell my wife, I'm watching this
- 17:19Speaker 3: like game film.
- 17:20Speaker 1: I gotta see what you're up to.
- 17:21Speaker 3: All of a sudden, if she's coming home with six
- 17:23Speaker 3: or seven vials of vizine, I know something's up.
- 17:29Speaker 1: I had a brand new life insurance policy. Yeah exactly.
- 17:32Speaker 5: My girlfriend does something similar where she's like, oh, it's
- 17:36Speaker 5: time to unwind, get ready for bed, and then I'm like,
- 17:38Speaker 5: listen to what she's watching on TV, and it's like
- 17:41Speaker 5: and then this person snuck into the house and slit
- 17:43Speaker 5: somebody's throat.
- 17:44Speaker 1: I'm like, what is this? No, it's good TV to
- 17:47Speaker 1: sleep too, it is. That's why I put it on
- 17:49Speaker 1: all the time. I only is nothing that will get
- 17:51Speaker 1: you to sleep like a murder.
- 17:52Speaker 3: I mean, the only one that I really enjoy is Dateline.
- 17:55Speaker 3: And I only like Keith Morrison. If Keith Morrison isn't
- 17:58Speaker 3: the reporter, you know, he's the guy that was Michael.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Matthew Perry's stepfather. Yeah Matthew Perry. Yeah, great voice and
- 18:07Speaker 1: always had no shame, you know, And well that's not
- 18:12Speaker 1: what the sheriff told us.
- 18:15Speaker 3: Like you know what I mean, like was over the top.
- 18:17Speaker 3: He knew it, but doesn't care. If Keith Morrison is
- 18:20Speaker 3: doing the dateline, I'm in. If it's anyone else, I
- 18:23Speaker 3: generally bail on it.
- 18:25Speaker 1: And he's aging like a fine wine. That guy.
- 18:27Speaker 3: I mean, I mean he's got the wrinkles and the scraggles,
- 18:31Speaker 3: but the beautiful lid like I mean, just everything about him.
- 18:36Speaker 1: I love that guy. Yeah, his voice is probably what
- 18:39Speaker 1: makes your your girlfriend fall asleep, Taylor, I would think, Yeah,
- 18:42Speaker 1: it's melodic. Yeah, it's a great voice, Taylor. Do you
- 18:46Speaker 1: have a game for me and Hockey here? Because h
- 18:50Speaker 1: Hawk really enjoyed the game we played last time. I'm
- 18:52Speaker 1: not searching for playing the same game, but do you
- 18:54Speaker 1: have a game ready for Hawk?
- 18:55Speaker 2: Here? Of course we have keep three, cut five.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Okay. I got to state the last week we did
- 19:03Speaker 1: this with food court items after the all right, so.
- 19:08Speaker 5: This week it's going to be all time South Florida coaches.
- 19:15Speaker 2: All right, a lot of teams.
- 19:16Speaker 3: I love this, by the way, non sequit or did
- 19:18Speaker 3: anybody see s g A at his postgame press conference
- 19:21Speaker 3: last night?
- 19:22Speaker 1: Yeah, with the coat Yeah, that's nothing. Great. Taylor stopped
- 19:28Speaker 1: watching after the next lost that game. He's broken. They
- 19:31Speaker 1: almost came back. That was almost nice little comeback. That was.
- 19:34Speaker 3: That was the greatest postgame press conference. Look I have
- 19:37Speaker 3: ever seen.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Yes, great jacket. Did you see the Did you see
- 19:41Speaker 1: him walk in to Madison Square Garden? Now you had
- 19:44Speaker 1: to walk. You had a little struck going with the
- 19:46Speaker 1: jacket on, because you have to shrump when you wear
- 19:48Speaker 1: that jacket. Yeah, like a Clyde. You can't just walk
- 19:50Speaker 1: normally when you have a jacket like that on.
- 19:53Speaker 5: And if you lose the game, you can't wear that
- 19:54Speaker 5: jacket after the game.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Right, no chance, you look like an idiot. But hey,
- 19:59Speaker 1: what have Oh he would have for sure? All right, Taylor.
- 20:04Speaker 1: So we're doing South Florida coaches keep three, cut five.
- 20:09Speaker 1: So the game is Taylor has eight coaches hockey, and
- 20:12Speaker 1: I have no idea who's on the list. We have
- 20:14Speaker 1: to keep three of them. We have to cut five
- 20:16Speaker 1: of these coaches. I'm hoping Shaky Rodriguez is on that list.
- 20:23Speaker 2: So you guys are gonna have to try to come
- 20:24Speaker 2: to a consensus.
- 20:25Speaker 5: We don't have a third deciding vote here. Okay, So
- 20:28Speaker 5: I'll just let you two YouTube could talk it.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Out fair enough, all right, or you could be the
- 20:33Speaker 1: deciding vote.
- 20:34Speaker 2: No, well, then I know the other names.
- 20:36Speaker 1: That's true. Yes, on pair advantage. Yes, you know the
- 20:41Speaker 1: pitch before it's coming. Go ahead, First name up, Mario
- 20:45Speaker 1: Christobal Wow? Oh cut, you're cutting them. I mean he
- 20:52Speaker 1: just got to a national championship game. Understood.
- 20:55Speaker 3: There have been some very frustrating on field goals that
- 20:59Speaker 3: I'm not ready to keep him. You're telling me, I'm
- 21:02Speaker 3: about to hear the name the names of eight South
- 21:05Speaker 3: Florida coaches, and I'm gonna put Mario up there with
- 21:09Speaker 3: no championships and some of the most frustrating. I mean
- 21:12Speaker 3: a kneel down. Kneel down, you win a game. Kneel down,
- 21:16Speaker 3: you win a game. Like I can't put him there yet.
- 21:18Speaker 3: I'm happy with Mario. He recruits like a motherfucker he does.
- 21:23Speaker 3: This program has never been in better shape.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Yep.
- 21:27Speaker 3: But I cut him immediately, knowing that there are seven
- 21:29Speaker 3: more to come.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Yeah, but the other seven could be.
- 21:32Speaker 3: Like John Bowles for all you know. I mean, keep
- 21:34Speaker 3: him in a heartbeat love John Bowles.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Both ballsy. You just cut a guy who recruits as
- 21:40Speaker 1: well as anyone in the country was a game away
- 21:43Speaker 1: from winning a title. And you love John Bulls, Okay,
- 21:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna cut I'm gonna cut him as well. I
- 21:51Speaker 1: don't want him. I don't want Mario. First of all,
- 21:53Speaker 1: there are too many. I just have to keep three.
- 21:55Speaker 1: I have to think there are three better coaches on
- 21:57Speaker 1: this list than Mario, no doubt, no doubt.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Name number two.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Tony Sperano, by no, can't do it.
- 22:06Speaker 2: A lot of coaches in South Florida.
- 22:08Speaker 1: I would say our show Hawk. We had more fun
- 22:12Speaker 1: with that coach, I think.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Him, or Camp Cameron Wannie, I think I think with
- 22:16Speaker 3: wanst Yeaperano. I mean his signature move was the fist
- 22:21Speaker 3: pump after a field goal.
- 22:23Speaker 1: We're going to keep them around, wat I mean the
- 22:27Speaker 1: Wildcat Hawk.
- 22:28Speaker 3: That was a great, great era, very small era though,
- 22:33Speaker 3: Robert California like almost.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Better than the Marino years.
- 22:41Speaker 1: All right, so what are we doing here? Uh, you're
- 22:45Speaker 1: cutting Mariot, You're cutting both.
- 22:46Speaker 3: I'll cut sparrona go ahead, Yeah, name number three.
- 22:50Speaker 2: We're going to the Diamond Jim Leland.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Keeper probably a keeper just for smoking heaters in the
- 22:56Speaker 3: dugout right, Yes, yes, right, in the dugout.
- 22:58Speaker 1: No shame blew it right now. Bobby Benia's face didn't care.
- 23:01Speaker 1: I mean, and he won a World Series nineteen ninety seven.
- 23:06Speaker 3: But what if what if there's what if Jack McKeon
- 23:11Speaker 3: Trader Jack? What if what if Trader Jack is on there?
- 23:14Speaker 3: Because you're not going to keep more than one Marlon,
- 23:16Speaker 3: you can't and do you give the nod to McKeon
- 23:19Speaker 3: or Leeah?
- 23:19Speaker 1: But what if Trader Jack's not on there? Though? Right? Wow,
- 23:24Speaker 1: this is why Taylor couldn't be the deciding factor. You've
- 23:28Speaker 1: got two World Series wins.
- 23:29Speaker 3: You've got Leland and McKeon, and McKeon I think was
- 23:33Speaker 3: more impressive. Leland had a stacked roster, not that McKeon didn't,
- 23:38Speaker 3: but McKeon didn't even know who his pitching staff's name was. Remember,
- 23:41Speaker 3: like he was like confused out there.
- 23:43Speaker 1: No, let me be clear, Leland ninety seven. Heizinger spent
- 23:46Speaker 1: a ton of money on the Marlins. That team was stacked,
- 23:48Speaker 1: That team was supposed to be competitive, and they ended
- 23:50Speaker 1: up winning the World Series. Oh three, They had no
- 23:52Speaker 1: business winning the World Series. They fired their manager mid
- 23:55Speaker 1: season and he placed him with Trader Jack. Yeah right, yes, wow, job, God,
- 24:01Speaker 1: this is tough.
- 24:02Speaker 3: All right, I'll cut Leland's I can't be cut Leland. Well,
- 24:05Speaker 3: we better have McKee up day McKeon. There we made
- 24:08Speaker 3: a grave mistake. Yeah right, so are you cutting them? Yeah?
- 24:12Speaker 3: And we got to do it together. This has to
- 24:13Speaker 3: be in conjunct. So we cut Leland. We agree, right.
- 24:16Speaker 3: So now there's there's only four names left, and we
- 24:22Speaker 3: have to keep three of them.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Five names names left? We have to keep three?
- 24:26Speaker 1: Oh, yes, all right, yes, and I promise you if
- 24:29Speaker 1: he's editing on the fly, he just took traitor Jack
- 24:31Speaker 1: off now or just added him in that.
- 24:36Speaker 5: I respect the game too much. Name number four, Mike McDaniel.
- 24:43Speaker 1: There's five names. No, I can't keep Mike McDaniel. Now
- 24:48Speaker 1: I want to go back and keep Mario. What the
- 24:49Speaker 1: hell am I keeping Mike McDaniel. Why did we not
- 24:52Speaker 1: keep Leland? Man that?
- 24:55Speaker 5: No?
- 24:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't keep McDaniel. Okay, all right, so we
- 24:59Speaker 1: caught him.
- 25:00Speaker 3: If we don't have Shula, Jimmy Johnson, Jack McKee and Schnelldenberger.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Schnellenberger and uh Paul Maurice coming up?
- 25:11Speaker 1: What about Riley or sp Well, that's what I'm holding
- 25:14Speaker 1: out hope of those guys. How about is going on here?
- 25:18Speaker 1: I'll take Coker throwing Dennis ericson at me. Let's go.
- 25:26Speaker 1: He won two national.
- 25:27Speaker 5: Championships, name number five. You guys might get your your
- 25:32Speaker 5: little life raft here.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Eric Spolstram, all right, yeah, all right, what if Riley's there?
- 25:38Speaker 3: Though, I'll keep two heaters. I mean we're gonna be
- 25:44Speaker 3: forced to at this point. I'm keeping Spoe.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:48Speaker 3: I mean we stood the bump from uh Lebron and
- 25:51Speaker 3: has thrived ever since.
- 25:53Speaker 1: I have clearly no issue with two heaters, so I
- 25:56Speaker 1: will keep Spoe. H Taylor, go ahead, next coach. Your
- 26:00Speaker 1: only issue with two heaters is that there should be three.
- 26:06Speaker 1: All right? He's baxt year.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Dave Wantstead.
- 26:11Speaker 1: What I would say, for the purposes of what we
- 26:15Speaker 1: do for a living, wants that would be the best
- 26:17Speaker 1: coach in the history of South Florida sports.
- 26:19Speaker 3: I mean, gave us one of the greatest radio promotions
- 26:22Speaker 3: of all time.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Jannie mcstashes, Yes, he said a lobster trap in the
- 26:26Speaker 1: locker room. As a coach of the year.
- 26:28Speaker 3: I believe his first season with the Dolphins he was
- 26:30Speaker 3: coach of the year.
- 26:31Speaker 1: I think he was. They go like eleven and five
- 26:33Speaker 1: and he won Coach of the Year. So listen what
- 26:36Speaker 1: we're debating here, because if we keep wants at other
- 26:39Speaker 1: names that could possibly be on this list are Don Shula.
- 26:42Speaker 3: Sula, Jimmy Johns didn't have to be How many are
- 26:45Speaker 3: how many names are left?
- 26:46Speaker 1: Three? Yeah, and we have to keep two of the three.
- 26:49Speaker 3: Yes, and we've already passed on Mario and Jim Leland. Yes,
- 26:55Speaker 3: I'm gonna keep Wanstead just because I feel like there's
- 26:58Speaker 3: another curveball coming.
- 26:59Speaker 1: All right, I mean we have to if we're agreeing
- 27:01Speaker 1: on this, then we have to keep wanting that. He's
- 27:03Speaker 1: gonna f us right now. Go ahead, Paul Maurice, Oh God,
- 27:08Speaker 1: do it, Keith, We're gonna have to leave Shulo or
- 27:10Speaker 1: Riley off the list, hop because we took Wannie.
- 27:13Speaker 3: I mean, Paul Marie is a no brainer. That's a
- 27:20Speaker 3: no brainer.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Well, he's a no brainer.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Left.
- 27:23Speaker 1: The next man out of Taylor's mouth is Riley, but
- 27:25Speaker 1: he's a no brainer.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Two Stanley Cups in a row, three trips to the
- 27:29Speaker 3: Stanley cupp took over a very popular President's Trophy winning team,
- 27:34Speaker 3: brought in an entirely different way to play hockey and
- 27:37Speaker 3: it paid off season one.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Paul Maurice for Life man, all right, put it on
- 27:43Speaker 1: the Paul Taylor, Paul Maurice for Life man, Stu.
- 27:47Speaker 5: But it sounds like you might want to cut him.
- 27:50Speaker 5: It doesn't sound like you're gonna be able to talk
- 27:51Speaker 5: Hawk into cutting him.
- 27:53Speaker 1: But well, no, I could only talk Hawk into cutting
- 27:55Speaker 1: him if we knew Riley was gonna be there or
- 27:58Speaker 1: Jimmy Johnson was to be there, Because I think Hope would.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Even Paul Maurice off this list. There's back to back titles, milk,
- 28:05Speaker 3: the back back to back titles too. So saved hockey, Yeah,
- 28:09Speaker 3: saved hockey in South Florida.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Yes he did. No, I'm good, I'm good keeping them
- 28:15Speaker 1: on there. Go ahead, f us right now with Don Shula.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Go ahead.
- 28:18Speaker 5: So you guys kept Eric Spolstra, Dave want said R
- 28:24Speaker 5: and Maurice and Paul Maurice. Yes you cut Mario, Cristobaul,
- 28:30Speaker 5: Jim willlnd, Tony Sperano and Mike McDaniel.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Correct.
- 28:35Speaker 2: And the name you guys are cutting.
- 28:38Speaker 3: Well coacause there's two more names left right now, there's
- 28:41Speaker 3: one more name name, that's it.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Yeah, keep three cup that's it, except god damn it.
- 28:46Speaker 1: I was told there was no math on this show.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Who would have thug that would be better at math
- 28:53Speaker 1: than you? So we're down to one name. Yeah, well
- 28:55Speaker 1: that's what I was trying to tell you. You listen,
- 28:59Speaker 1: it's our game. If you want to move one of
- 29:02Speaker 1: the guys from the keep list to the cut list,
- 29:04Speaker 1: we could do it, and do it right now before
- 29:05Speaker 1: Taylor announces the next name. Yeah, we gotta cut Wannie.
- 29:09Speaker 3: Okay, all right, so we're gonna bets.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Out of his mouth. I don't want to be stuck
- 29:15Speaker 1: with Dave want but it could be lam.
- 29:21Speaker 5: Not the spirit of the game. But I will allow
- 29:23Speaker 5: you guys to cut if you want to.
- 29:25Speaker 1: We gotta cut Wannie. Well, listen, his math was off,
- 29:27Speaker 1: and so you gotta give him a pack. Correct. I
- 29:28Speaker 1: thought there were many more names that come. He thought
- 29:32Speaker 1: the game was you just keep going until you say
- 29:34Speaker 1: she will.
- 29:34Speaker 3: Look, I was gonna go until you ran out of tape.
- 29:39Speaker 5: So the name the eighth and final name that now
- 29:42Speaker 5: becomes an automatic keep.
- 29:45Speaker 2: He did get a Coach of the Year award. It's
- 29:48Speaker 2: Joe Girardi.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Oh fuck off, Joe Girardi. Local guy by the way.
- 30:00Speaker 3: I think I have some friends whose kids play Little
- 30:02Speaker 3: League with his kids. Yeah, yeah, I gotta take Wannie back.
- 30:07Speaker 3: I'm sorry, I know this isn't a shard of the game. Actually,
- 30:10Speaker 3: actually I'm taking Mario. I'm taking Mario. My My three
- 30:15Speaker 3: keepers are Mario, Cristobal, Paul Maurice, and Eric Spolstra.
- 30:20Speaker 1: And shame on you.
- 30:21Speaker 3: For not having Shula and Jimmy Johnson, Larry Cocher and
- 30:24Speaker 3: Dennis ericson anywhere on this list.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Riley, even a stan Van Gundhy. So you're taking back Mario. Yeah,
- 30:38Speaker 1: I got Since we're walking with this game, I don't
- 30:40Speaker 1: care Jimmy Leland's on my list that now we have.
- 30:43Speaker 1: I'll cut Mario for jim Leland. Thank you. We won something. Yes, yeah,
- 30:47Speaker 1: you're right.
- 30:48Speaker 3: So we're keeping Leland, Maurice Spoe gotta be a champion
- 30:53Speaker 3: to be on our list.
- 30:54Speaker 1: Yeah. Quite the roller coaster there for once.
