- 0:59Speaker 4: one of our.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Rock Star agents. She's a second generation realtor.
- 1:04Speaker 4: And and she's been in real estate a long time.
- 1:07Speaker 4: Although just in the past two years of actually being
- 1:10Speaker 4: licensed agent, she's done thirty six transactions.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Wow. Well, welcome to the show, Kally. Good to see you.
- 1:16Speaker 5: Thank you. I actually didn't even know that I've done
- 1:18Speaker 5: thirty six years. Thanks.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Thanks for me absolutely.
- 1:23Speaker 1: One of the things that always amazes me about Matt
- 1:25Speaker 1: is is data is when it comes to like if
- 1:27Speaker 1: it's if it's like a hard number Matt's but names,
- 1:32Speaker 1: you know, I could also yeah, Chickatowski. Was that the
- 1:36Speaker 1: one that you get a lot on the on the phone.
- 1:38Speaker 1: So we're gonna, yeah, we're gona talk with Kallie a
- 1:41Speaker 1: little bit about about her her background or experience at
- 1:45Speaker 1: Rock Realty. As a matter of fact, also as we
- 1:47Speaker 1: talk about homes sold, also homes listed in Kaytlie, You've
- 1:50Speaker 1: got a great house here down in Janesville on Blaine Avenue.
- 1:54Speaker 1: And I am surprised by a number of things. One
- 1:58Speaker 1: that this house is for sale right now, because I
- 2:01Speaker 1: look at the price. I look at the details and
- 2:02Speaker 1: I'm going, Wow, this thing is going to fly off shelf.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Let's talk about this house at eight oh six Blaine
- 2:07Speaker 1: Avenue in Jansville, Kyley. Yeah.
- 2:09Speaker 5: I mean it's a gorgeous home. The wife she works
- 2:11Speaker 5: in insurance. The husband is a plumber, so really great sellers.
- 2:15Speaker 5: They've taken really great care of this property. They did
- 2:17Speaker 5: a new roof, air conditioning unit, front gutters, a garage door,
- 2:21Speaker 5: along with a ton of other updates. I mean, this
- 2:24Speaker 5: house is just gorgeous. Both bedrooms and bathroom are on
- 2:26Speaker 5: the upstairs level. It's a perfect, you know home for Yeah,
- 2:30Speaker 5: it's amazing it is.
- 2:32Speaker 1: And Matt when you look at a house like this
- 2:33Speaker 1: as well, Cape Cod just it's got that really classic
- 2:39Speaker 1: look to it. As Caylie was kind of laying out
- 2:42Speaker 1: some of those details as well. This one isn't going
- 2:44Speaker 1: to be on the market long, is it.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 2:46Speaker 4: I wouldn't think so, I mean to be able to
- 2:48Speaker 4: find some maybe it's a listed two hundred and nineteen nine.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Yeah, it started with a two and it's the low
- 2:53Speaker 3: twos too.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Yeah, two bedroom, one bath and you know, pretty large.
- 2:59Speaker 4: Bedrooms actually pretty nice size it's just kind of perfect
- 3:02Speaker 4: for you know, first time home buyers. People wanted to downsize.
- 3:05Speaker 4: I mean, heck I would, I would consider it to
- 3:07Speaker 4: even rent out.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I had a friend growing up. Her her dad was
- 3:10Speaker 1: a plumber, and the one thing I will tell you
- 3:12Speaker 1: about their house exquisite when it came to everything always
- 3:16Speaker 1: flushed properly, everything drained.
- 3:17Speaker 6: From really hot water was like that. That's a selling
- 3:22Speaker 6: point as well. And as mentioned, we've got We've got
- 3:26Speaker 6: Kaylee Kristowski at Kristowski, How did I do?
- 3:28Speaker 5: You did?
- 3:28Speaker 1: Good?
- 3:29Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 3:29Speaker 1: Yes, joined us this morning from Rock Real Tea, and
- 3:36Speaker 1: let's talk a little bit about about you, Kaylee. I
- 3:39Speaker 1: I know your mom's been on the program. It's a
- 3:41Speaker 1: family a family thing, isn't it.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah.
- 3:43Speaker 5: I mean my parents have been in real estate for
- 3:45Speaker 5: god what, probably over a decade now, yeah, something like that.
- 3:49Speaker 5: I mean my parents bought their first rental when they
- 3:52Speaker 5: were nineteen, which is actually the home that I own now,
- 3:55Speaker 5: so I bought my childhood home. They you know, have
- 3:58Speaker 5: been in real estate with doing tolls and then my
- 4:00Speaker 5: mom got her broker's license not too long ago. My
- 4:03Speaker 5: dad's also an agent. My brother's girlfriend is an agent.
- 4:06Speaker 5: My PO was an agent for a while, so it
- 4:09Speaker 5: is a whole family affair and we all work for
- 4:11Speaker 5: Rock Realty.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Does mat ever feel like the odd man out here?
- 4:14Speaker 2: It feels like what.
- 4:16Speaker 3: I'm searching for things and I type in Christowski. There's
- 4:19Speaker 3: a lot of names that pop up.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Actually there are in oldest of seven.
- 4:24Speaker 5: Yeah, wow, youngest is three.
- 4:27Speaker 1: That isn't busy, And so I'm guessing that you've probably
- 4:30Speaker 1: already put in the three year old to work somewhere
- 4:32Speaker 1: around me.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Yeah, we're working remotely.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Earlier.
- 4:37Speaker 1: And so as we talk Kelly a little bit about
- 4:40Speaker 1: kind of your area where you work. Obviously we talked
- 4:43Speaker 1: about Janesville, get into Dane County as well.
- 4:45Speaker 5: Oh god, I go all over. I mean I sold
- 4:47Speaker 5: the property in Choboygan a couple months ago. Yeah, Portage, Bearaboo.
- 4:51Speaker 5: I mean, wherever the paycheck will take me, I will go.
- 4:54Speaker 1: So how does that work too with folks that are
- 4:58Speaker 1: and I know, one of the great things about Roy
- 5:00Speaker 1: Rock Realty is all the great resources and all the
- 5:02Speaker 1: great tools, and whether whether it's folks that are listing
- 5:05Speaker 1: their home and really getting a great reach for exposure
- 5:08Speaker 1: for that home, or people looking to buy how does
- 5:10Speaker 1: it work somebody coming to you and say, you know,
- 5:12Speaker 1: we've worked with Rock Realty in the past, we're looking
- 5:14Speaker 1: to move up to Sheboygan, for example. Do they come
- 5:17Speaker 1: to you and say, we really we trust what you do.
- 5:19Speaker 1: We'd like to maybe have you be our agent, even
- 5:21Speaker 1: if it's not an area that that traditionally people think,
- 5:24Speaker 1: oh Rock Realty, Dane Rock, Jefferson County. Is that is
- 5:26Speaker 1: that kind of how that establishes itself?
- 5:29Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, for instance, the property in Sheboygan was
- 5:32Speaker 5: my high school friend right now for a while, and
- 5:34Speaker 5: so you know, he moved up there from Janesville, wanted
- 5:37Speaker 5: to eventually purchase a property. So he had called me,
- 5:40Speaker 5: which I so appreciate, you know, because not being from
- 5:42Speaker 5: the area. I actually have a client yesterday who asked
- 5:45Speaker 5: me if I would be willing to go far up
- 5:47Speaker 5: north to buy him a property in the boondocks. Nice.
- 5:51Speaker 5: So I told him, I was like, you know, for
- 5:52Speaker 5: the right property, I'll come up there.
- 5:54Speaker 1: There are some great areas if you've got to spend
- 5:57Speaker 1: some time exploring northern Wisconsin.
- 6:00Speaker 2: The boondocks of northern Wisconsin not a bit.
- 6:02Speaker 3: That zip code.
- 6:03Speaker 1: But yeah, I think I've mentioned my wife is from Spooner,
- 6:07Speaker 1: so I'm a little I get quite familiar with the men.
- 6:11Speaker 5: I was, Oh, yeahle Wisconsin.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Y Oh, it's it's beautiful up there.
- 6:15Speaker 1: So as we talk about and Katlee, one of the
- 6:18Speaker 1: things I've noticed right away about you is very much
- 6:20Speaker 1: a people person, very very friendly, and I've got to
- 6:23Speaker 1: guess that that that that it's a really good quality
- 6:26Speaker 1: to have.
- 6:26Speaker 2: What do you like most about working at Rock Realty?
- 6:28Speaker 5: Oh, gosh, I mean our culture. I feel like we're
- 6:31Speaker 5: a very close brokerage. We do a ton of events
- 6:33Speaker 5: and probably on like a monthly basis, we all get together.
- 6:36Speaker 5: We've got a group chat that blows up every single
- 6:40Speaker 5: so we are If I get any notifications, it's from
- 6:42Speaker 5: the Rock Realty group chat.
- 6:44Speaker 4: Yeah, it's busy, you know, whether it's questions or congratulations
- 6:49Speaker 4: or happy birthday, it's a it's a good time every day.
- 6:51Speaker 1: And we've talked about and I know on a future
- 6:54Speaker 1: show we're gonna you're gonna revisit this topic as well. Uh,
- 6:57Speaker 1: if you are listening to the program right now, and
- 6:59Speaker 1: you are whether you're dissatisfied with your current current role
- 7:03Speaker 1: at an agency or maybe even thinking about becoming a
- 7:06Speaker 1: real estate agent or anything I have to do with
- 7:08Speaker 1: the real estate.
- 7:08Speaker 6: Matt.
- 7:08Speaker 2: You guys are always always looking for new people, aren't you.
- 7:12Speaker 3: We're looking to fill a few spots.
- 7:13Speaker 4: I mean, ideally we're looking for people that are full
- 7:16Speaker 4: time or are really truly looking to get into full
- 7:20Speaker 4: time for this, because it is it is a lot
- 7:22Speaker 4: handling in a real estate and handling a pipeline.
- 7:24Speaker 3: It takes a full time effort.
- 7:26Speaker 1: It is, and it's a great team too. Is Another
- 7:28Speaker 1: great thing is that you know, we think about obviously
- 7:30Speaker 1: as agents the front facing folks that are out there,
- 7:32Speaker 1: but there's also folks at the office and doing other things.
- 7:35Speaker 1: And you talk about a really good, really good area
- 7:39Speaker 1: to you know, a really good company to be working
- 7:41Speaker 1: for and having a lot of support. Of course, Rock
- 7:43Speaker 1: Realty definitely want to check the mic. You learn more
- 7:45Speaker 1: online the website Rock Wisconsin dot com. That's Rock ro
- 7:48Speaker 1: O c K Wisconsin dot com. You mentioned in some
- 7:51Speaker 1: of the notes Keley a fan of Door County, but
- 7:54Speaker 1: you also really want to.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Get to Greece. What's that? What's the story there?
- 7:57Speaker 5: Oh man? I mean I feel like everybody wants to
- 7:59Speaker 5: go to Green Yeah, it's on everyone's populous. I've never
- 8:03Speaker 5: actually went out of the country.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Oh you've never No, No.
- 8:07Speaker 5: I'm hoping to possibly next year. I haven't flown since
- 8:10Speaker 5: I was three, and I'm flying for the first time
- 8:13Speaker 5: next month.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Well there you go. Well we do have a rock
- 8:16Speaker 3: Realty incentive trip.
- 8:17Speaker 4: Yeah, Matt qualified for so let's hope that she can
- 8:22Speaker 4: make that.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Is it Mexico this year the Bahamas, We're going to
- 8:25Speaker 2: switch to Poota Kana PoTA Kana.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Yes, mad Man, Man, I know a radio guy that
- 8:30Speaker 1: would love to just if you need any help down there,
- 8:33Speaker 1: you go the.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Room and yeah, happened to be available.
- 8:38Speaker 1: That's exactly talk this morning with Matt Heypman and Kaylee
- 8:42Speaker 1: Chaikowski Prestowski, you know for folks, little peak behind the
- 8:49Speaker 1: scenes before we came on the air this morning. I
- 8:51Speaker 1: got the name right, and then I said, if I
- 8:53Speaker 1: get it right on air, people are going to get suspicious.
- 8:55Speaker 1: People are gonna think something's up. We've got We've got
- 8:59Speaker 1: a mess that up a little bit here and there.
- 9:02Speaker 1: When we talked too about working in real estate. One
- 9:05Speaker 1: of the things I love is is hearing about challenges
- 9:08Speaker 1: and issues, you know, as much as what do they
- 9:11Speaker 1: always say the best laid plans of mice and men,
- 9:13Speaker 1: those type of things. There's going to be some challenges
- 9:16Speaker 1: in life. And we were talking earlier about the great
- 9:18Speaker 1: team at Rock Realty and the great support staff as well.
- 9:21Speaker 1: And as agents, you encounter things from time to time
- 9:23Speaker 1: as well when it comes to challenges, and there's always
- 9:27Speaker 1: great stories about kind of how that was overcome. And Kayleie,
- 9:31Speaker 1: I know you've got a story as well about a
- 9:33Speaker 1: challenge you had run into and how you really worked
- 9:36Speaker 1: through and really got got a successful outcome on that one.
- 9:39Speaker 5: Yeah. So you know, I'm a little bit younger. I'm
- 9:41Speaker 5: twenty four. I'll be twenty five here in a couple months.
- 9:44Speaker 5: So one of my biggest challenges that I think I
- 9:46Speaker 5: encounter from time to time is people seeing me pull
- 9:49Speaker 5: up and they're a little a little stunned when they
- 9:51Speaker 5: see me exit the car.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:54Speaker 5: But you know, contrary to my age, I feel like
- 9:56Speaker 5: I come with quite a bit of experience from my family.
- 9:59Speaker 5: You know, my parents are licensed contractors here in Wisconsin.
- 10:01Speaker 5: I've worked for the construction company. I bought a fix
- 10:04Speaker 5: your Upper three years ago, and I am doing all
- 10:06Speaker 5: the projects myself.
- 10:07Speaker 3: She does amazing.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Things really look amazing. That's awesome.
- 10:12Speaker 5: Yeah. I mean I've done a staircase demolition and rebuild.
- 10:15Speaker 5: I have done an inground fire pit, Florida ceiling, you know,
- 10:19Speaker 5: electric fireplace wall, I am new flooring. I mean the
- 10:23Speaker 5: list goes on and on.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Does that help to have I mean having that experience
- 10:27Speaker 1: and that now know how I think of, if you know,
- 10:29Speaker 1: working with you as an ancient as well help people
- 10:32Speaker 1: kind of identify things that that may need a little work.
- 10:35Speaker 1: I think of when I bought my first home. There
- 10:38Speaker 1: is a there is some truth to ignorance is bliss.
- 10:40Speaker 1: There's also something when you're making possibly most likely the
- 10:43Speaker 1: biggest purchase in your life, having as much information as possible.
- 10:47Speaker 1: I've got a guess having that experience and that knowledge
- 10:49Speaker 1: goes a real long way working with working with clients
- 10:52Speaker 1: and finding that that perfect home for them.
- 10:54Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I mean A great example is just two
- 10:56Speaker 5: days ago, I was at a showing a property we
- 10:58Speaker 5: actually got under contract yesterday or a but the it
- 11:02Speaker 5: was a quick flip and they had used grout and
- 11:04Speaker 5: instead of silicon cock where it should be used, so
- 11:07Speaker 5: you know, educated my buyers. Hey, this is the first
- 11:09Speaker 5: thing I want you guys to do. As soon as
- 11:11Speaker 5: you close, I will even come over and help you.
- 11:14Speaker 5: You know, there's just there's a lot of very small
- 11:16Speaker 5: things that can lead to bigger issues in a home
- 11:19Speaker 5: that need to be addressed.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Are you able also to help for folks that may
- 11:22Speaker 1: be looking maybe there's somebody who's who's handy, is maybe saying,
- 11:25Speaker 1: you know what, I want that fixer upper. I've got
- 11:27Speaker 1: to guess your experience as well, having done it yourself.
- 11:31Speaker 1: That's got to go a long way as well, doesn't it.
- 11:33Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I can give them estimated prices of
- 11:35Speaker 5: what things are going to cost because I've done them myself.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Well, that is very very cool. Also sold fixer.
- 11:40Speaker 4: Uppers, yep, that work, and so she's able to kind
- 11:46Speaker 4: of explain different things.
- 11:46Speaker 2: That is absolutely amazing.
- 11:48Speaker 1: As we talked this morning with the team from Rock Realty,
- 11:50Speaker 1: of course you can learn more online Rock Wisconsin dot com.

- 12:21Speaker 1: b A talking with Matt Heidman and Kaylie Kristowski of
- 12:25Speaker 1: Rockrealty online Rockwisconsin dot com. That's Rock r Ock Wisconsin
- 12:30Speaker 1: dot com. Talking a little bit about Kelly getting to
- 12:33Speaker 1: know her mention the feature listing this week, it's right
- 12:37Speaker 1: in James Filt's a really really nice house at eight
- 12:39Speaker 1: oh six Blaine Avenue. Telephone number to call if you
- 12:42Speaker 1: want to set up a listing a six oh eight
- 12:43Speaker 1: three two two ninety eight fifty five. That's six oh
- 12:46Speaker 1: eight three two two ninety eight fifty five. And as
- 12:50Speaker 1: we've talked about Kylee, of course a second generation real
- 12:54Speaker 1: estate agent at Rockrealteam. Matt, obviously not every agent comes
- 12:58Speaker 1: through those channels. Let's talk about kind of what you
- 13:01Speaker 1: guys at at Rock Realty when it comes to finding
- 13:03Speaker 1: the right agent.
- 13:04Speaker 2: How do you guys go about that?
- 13:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it's a tough thing to do.
- 13:08Speaker 4: I mean, just like any business when when you hire people,
- 13:12Speaker 4: you know they tend to say the right thing, Yes
- 13:14Speaker 4: they do, but you know, whether or not they have
- 13:17Speaker 4: the work ethic to do it, it's a different thing.
- 13:18Speaker 3: And you know, you have to be able to connect
- 13:20Speaker 3: with people. You have to just kind of keep pushing forward.
- 13:23Speaker 4: Even if they're struggles, you know, because it is a
- 13:25Speaker 4: commission based situation, right, so you have to have the
- 13:28Speaker 4: right people with the right opportunity. And I think that
- 13:30Speaker 4: we try to blend that opportunity in there so that
- 13:33Speaker 4: everybody has that. I mean, Kaylee started working a full
- 13:37Speaker 4: time job and was already doing full time production.
- 13:40Speaker 5: Wow.
- 13:40Speaker 4: And since then she's she's left that, so, I mean,
- 13:43Speaker 4: the opportunity.
- 13:43Speaker 3: Is there to become successful. And she had eighteen closings
- 13:46Speaker 3: her first year.
- 13:47Speaker 1: One of the things I find interesting, and I think
- 13:49Speaker 1: we've probably all known somebody in our life it's like,
- 13:51Speaker 1: I want to do real estate and they kind of
- 13:53Speaker 1: jump in, and I think a lot of folks think, like,
- 13:56Speaker 1: it's got to be easier, it's got to be It
- 13:59Speaker 1: really takes a special person to be successful in real estate,
- 14:01Speaker 1: doesn't it.
- 14:02Speaker 4: Yeah, it does, especially if you're not going to go
- 14:04Speaker 4: all in, right, if you're not going to just jump
- 14:07Speaker 4: in full time and say, you know what, I'm going
- 14:08Speaker 4: to make this work.
- 14:10Speaker 3: You know, it's pretty difficult.
- 14:12Speaker 4: And we've only had a handful of people that have
- 14:15Speaker 4: successfully transitioned from a full time job into real estate
- 14:18Speaker 4: by slowly getting there. You kind of have to have
- 14:21Speaker 4: a full pipeline in order to be able to get
- 14:25Speaker 4: paid as a full time agent. Absolutely, so we do
- 14:28Speaker 4: our best to fill everybody's pipeline, but whether or not
- 14:30Speaker 4: they're able to put in enough effort in time is
- 14:32Speaker 4: a whole different thing.
- 14:33Speaker 1: And it's a fantastic you know, we talk about working
- 14:36Speaker 1: with working with the folks at Rock Realty, and you know,
- 14:39Speaker 1: we've had a chance to get to know some of
- 14:40Speaker 1: the agents over the years, and of course get to
- 14:42Speaker 1: meet with Matt each and every week. It's a really
- 14:44Speaker 1: really great company and they really do great stuff for
- 14:46Speaker 1: their clients and again great stuff as well for their employees.
- 14:49Speaker 1: For somebody that's looking to make that commitment, and Kaylee,
- 14:52Speaker 1: I want to ask a little bit about that commitment
- 14:54Speaker 1: and kind of what a day in the life of
- 14:55Speaker 1: a real estate agent is like and I've got to
- 14:58Speaker 1: guess what's to be one of the great features of
- 15:01Speaker 1: being a real estate agent. So there's probably not a
- 15:03Speaker 1: quote unquote typical date. They're all kind of unique, aren't they.
- 15:06Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean every single day is different. You will
- 15:09Speaker 5: be meeting with contractors, some days doing seven showings, another
- 15:12Speaker 5: day no showings. The following day, sure, I mean Saturday,
- 15:16Speaker 5: for example, seven showings. Sunday I got I think three showings,
- 15:20Speaker 5: wrote two offers which both got accepted. Yesterday, God, yesterday
- 15:25Speaker 5: I met with a contractor showings. Today after this I'm
- 15:29Speaker 5: going to showings. So, I mean, it's amazing though, and
- 15:32Speaker 5: I really appreciate being busy. I appreciate all my clients,
- 15:35Speaker 5: so I wouldn't want it any other way.
- 15:36Speaker 2: What is an open house? What goes into doing an
- 15:38Speaker 2: open house for a listing?
- 15:41Speaker 5: Yeah, depends on the agent. I will pronounce all of
- 15:44Speaker 5: my lm LAS sheets, my real estate condition reports, you know,
- 15:47Speaker 5: any additional information on the property. Some people will bake
- 15:50Speaker 5: cookies them, bring the open houses, bring waters, you know.
- 15:55Speaker 4: But Kaylee tends to do a lot of video to
- 15:57Speaker 4: which I really, oh really, she's really good on social media,
- 16:00Speaker 4: little fun shorts, and I mean she's had ones. Where
- 16:03Speaker 4: wasn't it buyer clients jumping through your sun roof on the.
- 16:09Speaker 2: That's great, really good stuff. What about it?
- 16:12Speaker 1: And Matt we talked about that when it comes to
- 16:13Speaker 1: like open houses and deciding that how what what Matt
- 16:16Speaker 1: works then for? Like which houses do those or is
- 16:19Speaker 1: that something you work with the with the homeowner?
- 16:22Speaker 2: How does that? How does that stuff happen?
- 16:23Speaker 4: I mean, it all depends on the house, depends on
- 16:25Speaker 4: the market, depends on the location. You know, there are
- 16:29Speaker 4: some places that just naturally won't do well with an
- 16:32Speaker 4: open house because they're out in the country. It takes
- 16:34Speaker 4: a drive to get there, right, there's other places there
- 16:37Speaker 4: and such busy roads. The open house can can you know,
- 16:40Speaker 4: the signs themselves can pull in people, but otherwise you're
- 16:43Speaker 4: kind of relying on the MLS and the internet sites
- 16:46Speaker 4: to tell people about the open house. We do, we
- 16:48Speaker 4: do run paid ads for our open houses to try
- 16:51Speaker 4: to you know, procure as many visitors as you can.
- 16:55Speaker 4: But yeah, it all depends on timeframe too. Sometimes we'll
- 16:58Speaker 4: do it Thursday night. Other times it'll be just Sunday afternoon,
- 17:01Speaker 4: like normal schedule that around the packer game, of course.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Yeah, and Katlee, it's got to be a benefit too
- 17:07Speaker 1: for you as a as a younger agent, as we've
- 17:10Speaker 1: you know, as even in my lifetime, I've seen just
- 17:14Speaker 1: as as an observer, kind of a different approach to
- 17:17Speaker 1: real estate. It used to be very much like people
- 17:19Speaker 1: would drive around and they go to see these homes.
- 17:21Speaker 1: So much is done online. And I think of people
- 17:23Speaker 1: in their in their twenties and thirties that that's really
- 17:27Speaker 1: the online world is really second nature to them. I've
- 17:30Speaker 1: got to guess having that, you know, your age, has
- 17:32Speaker 1: got to be a great benefit to really marketing online
- 17:36Speaker 1: some of these houses.
- 17:38Speaker 5: Yeah, And I mean that kind of goes back to
- 17:40Speaker 5: my videos as well. My demographic is more on social media.
- 17:43Speaker 5: I'm not on TikTok. I might eventually be talk. My
- 17:47Speaker 5: siblings are on it, so I kind of refuse to
- 17:49Speaker 5: do that.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Yeah, that's like the old Facebook for us. Yeah, now
- 17:55Speaker 3: we're on Facebook, I hear.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I remember when Facebook was like new and hip and
- 17:59Speaker 1: like it and people. When Facebook first became a thing,
- 18:03Speaker 1: you needed an invite, like you.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Need somebody meeting.
- 18:05Speaker 3: It was a big deal.
- 18:06Speaker 2: You need to know somebody.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Mark Zuckerberg's.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Wife and kids, Mark said thank you for joining.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Yes, remember Tom on my space what he's up to
- 18:18Speaker 1: you my space at all I.
- 18:19Speaker 5: Know of it, but.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Yes, at this point it is yes, it is yes.
- 18:25Speaker 1: It is talking this morning with Kley and Matt of
- 18:28Speaker 1: course of Rock Realty online Rock Wisconsin dot com.
- 18:31Speaker 2: That's our o c K Wisconsin dot com.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Talking a little bit about getting to know Keley, a
- 18:36Speaker 1: little bit about being an agent at Rock Realty. Don't
- 18:38Speaker 1: forgets we mentioned uh Rock Roca Wisconsin dot com. Not
- 18:42Speaker 1: like if you approve things, if you are if you're
- 18:44Speaker 1: looking to list as well, you can start that start
- 18:46Speaker 1: that conversation there as well. And uh we talked earlier
- 18:50Speaker 1: about northern Wisconsin and and uh selling and looking to
- 18:53Speaker 1: buy houses up there. Specifically, you mentioned Greece as Kelly
- 18:57Speaker 1: as a place you'd like to visit. How about here
- 18:59Speaker 1: in Wisconsin do you have like a favorite getaway kind
- 19:01Speaker 1: of place that like a little an area They say,
- 19:03Speaker 1: you know what, if anybody's looking to buy a second home,
- 19:06Speaker 1: this is the part of the state or the part
- 19:08Speaker 1: of the area that you want to be looking at.
- 19:10Speaker 5: I love Dora County. I was just there in July.
- 19:13Speaker 5: I try to go once a year at least kind
- 19:15Speaker 5: of just my nice little sanctuary away from the busyness.
- 19:18Speaker 5: I usually don't have phone service when I'm up there,
- 19:20Speaker 5: and I actually I really love that.
- 19:23Speaker 2: I have anxiety. Yeah, it's gonna say. Matt's like, No, I.
- 19:27Speaker 5: Usually coordinate with my clients and I let them know
- 19:29Speaker 5: them on ahead of schedule. Hey, you know I'm going
- 19:31Speaker 5: to have no service to the hotel room. Yes at night,
- 19:35Speaker 5: but no, I mean us realtors, we are constantly on
- 19:39Speaker 5: our phones. That's where the hub is for our work.
- 19:41Speaker 5: So sometimes it's nice to detach a little bit and
- 19:44Speaker 5: get a reset.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Is that one of the things?
- 19:46Speaker 1: Just one final thing too, before we get back to
- 19:47Speaker 1: this week's feature listening, I do want to ask you
- 19:49Speaker 1: about is. Obviously, phones are everywhere and they're great tools
- 19:54Speaker 1: and other things.
- 19:56Speaker 2: It has changed.
- 19:57Speaker 1: All works, work, walks of life when it comes to
- 20:00Speaker 1: to work being in a real estate agent. I've got
- 20:02Speaker 1: to guess one of the things. And I don't know
- 20:04Speaker 1: if this is a plus a minus, but I think
- 20:07Speaker 1: for some people they love it is you never know
- 20:09Speaker 1: what what your schedule is going to look like any
- 20:11Speaker 1: given week. Got this is We're not talking nine to
- 20:13Speaker 1: five Monday through Friday, are we.
- 20:15Speaker 5: No, No, not at all. I mean you can start
- 20:17Speaker 5: your morning thinking there's going to be no showings that day. Yeah,
- 20:19Speaker 5: and all of a sudden, you have four clients. Your
- 20:21Speaker 5: entire day is filled up.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Do you get like ever get like random clients just
- 20:26Speaker 1: calling saying we just saw a house. We were just
- 20:28Speaker 1: you know, over the weekend, we were visiting a friend
- 20:30Speaker 1: and we saw this house with a sign out front.
- 20:33Speaker 1: We wanted we wanted to take a look at it.
- 20:35Speaker 1: You get that type of thing as well.
- 20:36Speaker 5: Like even on the weekend, Yeah, all the time, or
- 20:38Speaker 5: I mean just he'll be I'm actually showing a client
- 20:41Speaker 5: on Wednesday, one that kind of fell off and hasn't
- 20:43Speaker 5: been looking for homes for over a year, and she
- 20:45Speaker 5: just reached down. She's like, I saw this one and
- 20:47Speaker 5: I want to see it on Wednesday.
- 20:48Speaker 2: And why.
- 20:50Speaker 1: That's the right attitude, Matt, Don't ever hire me because
- 20:55Speaker 1: we'll talk next week.
- 20:57Speaker 4: I want to say, realtors get to have lunch whenever
- 20:59Speaker 4: they'd like, But sometimes it's three pm.
- 21:02Speaker 5: It's in my car and my my glove compartment. I
- 21:05Speaker 5: have a whole bunch of fruit snacks.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Powered by juicy fruit.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Before we wrap up this week, we did start a
- 21:13Speaker 1: conversation on this week's featured listing eight oh six Blaine
- 21:16Speaker 1: Avenue in Janesville. Talked a little bit about a little
- 21:19Speaker 1: bit about the house and about the folks that are there.
- 21:22Speaker 2: It's got it.
- 21:22Speaker 1: It's got a garage, which is, oh my goodness, I
- 21:25Speaker 1: know right now is people like garage, homage, but you
- 21:28Speaker 1: get you get one month out and uh, you're gonna
- 21:31Speaker 1: be loving that garage and uh and that stuff as
- 21:33Speaker 1: well with the stuff too. I'll ask you this this, Kayley,
- 21:37Speaker 1: when it comes to like like folks looking for looking
- 21:40Speaker 1: for really affordable houses. I one of the things I've
- 21:43Speaker 1: I've loved in getting to know Matt over the past
- 21:45Speaker 1: couple of years is there is really something out there
- 21:47Speaker 1: for everybody, isn't there? And this house is is perfect
- 21:49Speaker 1: for a lot of people. And if if people are looking,
- 21:52Speaker 1: there is really something for everybody.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Isn't there?
- 21:54Speaker 5: Oh? Most definitely. And I mean this house takes so
- 21:56Speaker 5: many boxes. As far as from an insurance standpoint, there's
- 21:59Speaker 5: a lot of companies not covering groops over the age.
- 22:01Speaker 2: Of fifteen years old.
- 22:03Speaker 5: So the fact that they did a brand new roof
- 22:04Speaker 5: just a couple months ago, brand new air conditioning, garage, door,
- 22:08Speaker 5: some windows. I mean, they have covered so many high
- 22:11Speaker 5: ticket price items for your future homeowner that they're moving
- 22:14Speaker 5: into this property with an ease of.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Mind schedule at private showing two to day.
- 22:18Speaker 1: I'll get just pick up phone, give Kallie a call
- 22:20Speaker 1: six so eight three two two ninety eight fifty five.
- 22:22Speaker 1: That's three two two nine eight five five. Of course
- 22:25Speaker 1: you can learn more online Rock Wisconsin dot com. That's
- 22:28Speaker 1: roc K Wisconsin dot com. Matt Kayleie. Great to see
