Oregon’s wildfire season is exploding early—over 1.3 million acres already burned by mid-August, more than all of last year and on pace to break records. A mid-July lightning storm ignited dozens of fires in central and eastern Oregon, which combined with scorching, dry, windy weather, sent flames racing.
