Latest / Reality: We've got thoughts / Earle Meets World Episode 2: DWTS & Valentines Day Dinner
Transcript
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: We're back and we're ready to get into episode two of Earl Meets World.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: Uh this one starts out where she's getting ready to do dancing with the stars and she's met up with her partner Val.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: And Val's wife Jenna comes in.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: If you remember, she Jenna walks in and they start chatting, and Jenna brings up the whole Tom Brady thing.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's funny how she comes in and she's immediately like, Oh, I want to know what's going on.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: And then I think it was actually Jenna who says the name Tom, and Val kind of looked like they all kind of look, and Alex looks, but we pretty much already knew, but it really confirms it at the beginning there when she's practicing for the tour with them.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: So, you know, Val, she says she was having a bad week, all this stuff going on, and they talk about personal life and she's got to deal deal with all this, but and how hard it is to have a public personal life.
- 1:30unknown: Yes.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Get into that a little bit.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: Cause that's that's the thing, really, is where everybody asks her questions and everything she's going through is very public, which I'm sure is obviously going to be a big theme of the show.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: Um so then, really, the other thing that happens is basically since she's in New York staying with Ashton to do this dancing with the stars tour, they start getting into the fact, and we find out that Ashton and Sally are actually really good friends now.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: Like, what do you think about that?
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: Because they both live in New York together, and so they spend a lot of time together and they bring up that they have matching rings and that Alex is probably gonna be upset that they have matching rings.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's funny, because that would be weird.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: Like if your sister, you know, is there because all of a sudden best friends with your best friends, which actually I would prefer if I'm really close to my sister, which the girls are very close, I would prefer to have my best friend be friends with both of us.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it seems like a really good dynamic.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: But that's also when we start to see more of the cracks in what's going on with Sally working there, because Sally is at Ashton's house or vice versa, and she's in bed.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: And that's when TJ calls and kind of gets on her about the Snapchat.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: And if she really is doing anything with the Snapchat.
- 2:44SPEAKER_01: Um Yeah.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: And that's when Sally also talks about how she gets nervous when TJ calls her.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: And um, but this is also insight.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: This was interesting to me because this is a point in the show where you really see that they are looking at those metrics.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: Like he brings up the metrics of what's going on with Snapchat and the numbers are down.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: So it really clicks in for you that this is obviously huge business.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: Their whole business is these social media things, and it brings up the whole thing of like working with friends can be so awkward.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: So hard.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: Would you ever?
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: I mean, I guess we're friends and we're doing this together, but would you ever hire a friend to work for your business?
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: It's hard.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's really, it's really hard.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: You can see, you can see how they could be having these issues with Sally working there, and especially with the with TJ, you know, and all of that.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: And even Ashen, I think later on jokes and says Alex is paying Sally to be her friend.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, which that's gotta be hard.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: I wonder what Sally thought when she's when she saw that.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: So then we get to see the younger siblings again, and they're more adorable than ever.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: And when they show up, because Alex and um and Ashton are gonna go babysit them, and they're there um, you know, together.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: And it's fun to see that relationship that they have with the younger siblings.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: It's that it's obvious that they're a very tight-knit family and they're all very close, no matter what the age gap is.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: What I thought was really cool is with the little siblings, they are not afraid to like call her out.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: They're not afraid to call Alex out.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: Like when I think it was Penelope.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: I'm still trying to get the two girls confused so far.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: But one of them even asks her about the Tom Brady thing.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: They're like, You lied to us about St.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: Bart's.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: And I thought that was so cool because they are not afraid to like call her out and ask her.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: No, and they're old enough to see everything that's out there on the internet, too.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: So they know what's so they're they're seeing it.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: Oh, so what do you think about um Ashley and TJ's house, their actual house?
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: It's interesting to compare their house with Alyssa's house.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: Alyssa lives in a very modest house, and Ashley and TJ live very glamorous, I guess.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's like what you would expect the large New Jersey house with like the property, and it definitely looks like it's a lot of square footage.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: You know, it definitely looks like that type of situation.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: Much more ostentatious.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: And so I wonder, um, I wonder if that's the house they've lived in for a long time.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: I guess they didn't really tell us that.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that would be interesting to delve into that.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: So it's interesting when you find out the reason that the girls are there to babysit is to go out to dinner.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: And when they get to the restaurant for Valentine's dinner with Alyssa and Todd.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: So that was crazy.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: Todd even makes a comment that, well, this wasn't on my, you know, bingo card wingo card.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: Like exactly.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm sure that that, and maybe that was partly like, do we think that that was partly set up for the show?
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: Probably, yeah.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: But but they do, but the relationships do seem genuine, you know.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: And I and I did see Alex on an interview saying that, for example, TJ was not into the show.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: He didn't want to be that involved with it.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: But of course, once he did it, she like he really, he really liked it.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: All the family members, she says, were apprehensive.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: They're obviously not used to being around cameras.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: And Alex was saying what you were saying about it being authentic because they kind of were just being themselves.
- 6:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and that's one thing I love about this show, is it just feels so much more authentic and not scripted.
- 6:23SPEAKER_01: I'm sure, like you said, the dinner probably was somewhat scripted into the show to get them all together, but they just feel authentically themselves.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they really do.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: So at this dinner, for some reason, in this episode, it also clicked for me.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: Now that I'm really kind of getting in and figuring out who everyone is, it's crazy to me.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: The another Kardashian kind of reference and similarity is all of the A's and I's.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: Like now I figured out that Alyssa, the mom, is an A with an I instead of a Y, which Alyssa is a lot of times spelt with a Y.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: Ashton is an A with an I instead of, you know, I think Ashton is spelt different ways sometimes too.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: And same thing with Alex is spelled an A with an I.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: So it's funny how kind of like all the K names and all the, so now you have all the A names, you know, and all of that.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: And um, and then also just seeing them at dinner together, it did bring back memories to me.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: Again, another Kardashian reference of how the, you know, it supposedly Chris and Bruce they have a relationship with the other couple, yeah.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: Supposedly, like when Robert Kardashian was still alive, they were all still very relationship and with his dinners together and holidays and everything.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: So seeing Alyssa and Todd together with Ashley and TJ.
- 7:41SPEAKER_01: Which is still weird to me, some of the stuff that Ashley will bring up, too.
- 7:46SPEAKER_01: So they're well, this isn't even at the dinner that they brought it up.
- 7:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like that's it's crazy.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: Because she she will do anything.
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: Um, oh yeah, because in the confessionals, TJ and Ashley do speak about the past and the breakup in the confessionals and Alyssa too.
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: So this is when they do start to talk about they talk very openly about the affair.
- 8:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 8:12SPEAKER_01: So I think it's admirable that they can talk so openly about it and they just made a decision that they were gonna put their kids first and not let everything that was so negative about what happened with all of that affect the kids.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: What about what did you think when Alyssa was also kind of talking about how she wished that she was more involved with the girls, that she kind of regretted it.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, and and Todd, or because TJ is their manager, so Alyssa feels like TJ gets to spend more time with them, you know, because of that.
- 8:48SPEAKER_01: But I think they call their mom before they call their dad, too.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: I think they bounce ideas and stuff off of their mom before their dad.
- 8:55SPEAKER_01: So she may feel like she's not involved with the kids' wives as much, but I think she is more than she recognizes.
- 9:01SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: It's true.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: And then something else that Todd brings up, which is a good point, is he talks about when you're a parent, your whole life you're kind of telling your kids like, don't care about what people think of you, don't care what people say.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: And then now they're in this career where their whole career is based on putting themselves out there and people being able to put aside what other people think of them.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: And it's so true because you know, anytime you do anything like this, just like this podcast we're doing, or any, you know, putting stuff out on social media, you have to have critics.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: And you have to just kind of not care about that.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: You have to not care, you have to have a thick skin and you have to just let it roll off your back.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: And Todd was saying that he thinks that Alex and Ashton actually deal pretty well with it.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: So one thing that's going to be interesting, especially as we go back to the Kardashian thing, is that it's interesting the similarities in the shows.
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: But one difference is Alex is coming into this already with a massive social media following versus Kim still being like not really like she had been in the tabloids and stuff, but she was not that family had did not have the initial recognition.
- 10:12SPEAKER_01: No, I think she was what a personal assistant to Paris Hilton.
- 10:15SPEAKER_01: And that's kind of led into more things for her.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: I mean, she had already had the sex hate.
- 10:19SPEAKER_01: Well, well, well known like Alex was.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: It wasn't like a huge no, like Alex was already so known.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: So I wonder how that'll affect.
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: Was it good or is it good or bad?
- 10:28SPEAKER_01: Like how it'll affect, I guess.
- 10:30SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 10:31SPEAKER_01: I think I think it um provides more interest for the show to begin with.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 10:37SPEAKER_01: So then oh sorry, go ahead.
- 10:38SPEAKER_01: Kim Kim's interest was off of scandal.
- 10:41unknown: Yeah.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: So the interest was off of a scandal for her, and that got people watching.
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: This is more people are invested in Alex and want to know more about a deeper Alex, who she is when she's with her family and when she's not, you know, doing her TikToks.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: And I think both the show, like you said, and both the shows start out that way.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: They start out with Kim and with Alex, but then immediately you're also falling in love with this whole family, and you want to know what's going on with them, the storylines, like you're interested in seeing them and finding out a deeper, you know, deeper into what they're doing.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: They are.
- 11:15SPEAKER_01: And like Alex's whole dancing with the stars, the entire family came to support her, which is really cool, which is something you'd see the Kardashians do.
- 11:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: And they're all there, they're all there together.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: And as a matter of fact, after that, after the Dancing with the Stars show, they go to this blended family dinner, which of course I guess Alex was not there, but the family but the all the time.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: The family was there.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: They toast to Alex, wish she could be here.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and all that.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: And Sally was not there.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: So they we'll talk in a minute about how they start to kind of talk about her.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: What do you think?
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: What do you think of Todd and his turtleneck?
- 11:47SPEAKER_01: Like Todd, Todd, bless his heart.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: It's funny because Todd, I think, is another one where it's gonna be like controversial.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: Some people, there are people out there that just love him.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: Like people are like he is, and I guess he is a really good-looking guy.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: But also, I think there's gonna be like a lot of things where stuff's gonna start to come out, kind of like with like Teresa's Judice's husband, Louis, like people will start coming out of the woodwork because there's all this little speculation.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: There's gonna be something, right?
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: Because already with some of the stuff that starts to happen in later episodes.
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, he's got a good head on his shoulders.
- 12:26SPEAKER_01: He um at the family dinner, you know, TJ brings up that he thinks that Alyssa should should have been on the Golden Bachelor and should be the hot piece of ass on the Golden Bachelor.
- 12:36SPEAKER_01: And that really bothered Todd, which says a lot about him and how he feels about Alyssa too.
- 12:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that definitely.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: So at this dinner, they also start to talk about Sally, and it's kind of interesting because think about it, they're all talking about this.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: Alex isn't there and Sally isn't there to defend anything, right?
- 12:56SPEAKER_00: And at one point, Ashton even says to the sister, like, don't tell him.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: And the sister's like, I was there with dad.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: I already, uh, you know, I already knew.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: Um, but that's where I think you meant that's where he says, someone says, I don't know that Sally was doing Snapchat, and TJ says, I think Sally didn't know she was doing it either.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: And I was like, that is so shady.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: That is so shady.
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: So I guess that's you know and and you know what?
- 13:22SPEAKER_01: To be fair to Sally, maybe she didn't know that she was doing it.
- 13:25SPEAKER_01: Maybe she was doing other things for Alex as well, and Snapdrap chat just fell into it, and she was only posting stuff when Alex would send her stuff to post, and she didn't really know like what a big deal it was to be posting and the metrics that it brings in and everything.
- 13:39SPEAKER_01: Maybe she wasn't unaware.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: That would be hard because Alex brings up the point that like she trusts Sally more than anyone to be doing this stuff.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: It it's gotta be hard for these celebrities, influencers, whatever, that get to that level where they have to have other people doing that for them.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: How did they trust?
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: Like, how do you just trust that somebody's gonna do you know, do their right?
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: Um, somebody asked me if I had help with my Instagram page.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: And I was like, I'm I guess I should be flattered that they thought I had help.
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I do not have help.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: I'm like in the awkward infancy stage.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: But when you get to that crazy level, like I can't even imagine that you just have to trust somebody to to do it for you.
- 14:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 14:21SPEAKER_01: So it'll be interesting to see, like, so you can see why she would want her best friend to do it because she's known her before all of this came to light and before she really blew up and and she trusts that she would have her best interest.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: And TJ even mentions that he has like a different sense of humor, and this is where they start to tell the very cringy story that I almost don't even want to bring up about him paying for half of Alex's breast implants.
- 14:47SPEAKER_01: And and how he presents it to her and gives her what, one orange in a box and says, Here's here's one boob.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: I mean, that is that is crazy.
- 14:57SPEAKER_01: Like which, let's be honest, uh, it it's it's not uncommon for a parent to help pay for something like that.
- 15:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:03SPEAKER_01: But do you want to advertise it?
- 15:05SPEAKER_01: And she's an adult woman.
- 15:06SPEAKER_01: That you're doing that for your adult child.
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: It's it's just awkward and messing.
- 15:11SPEAKER_01: Interesting.
- 15:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah, very interesting.
- 15:13SPEAKER_01: And he even admits, you know, maybe my sense of humor.
- 15:16SPEAKER_01: I know my sense of humor isn't for everybody, but it it is a little bit different.
- 15:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: And I think that's what makes the show interesting.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: He is, you know, the the the different characters and and all that.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: So Ashton talks about wanting to be a model, and then that's why they're partly telling her, you know, TJ even says, like, our boobs even in or whatever, and honestly, for modeling.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: Um, so that's when Ashley starts encouraging her to date.
- 15:42SPEAKER_01: Yes, which is a whole host of things.
- 15:45SPEAKER_01: She's encouraging her to date and get out there and date.
- 15:47SPEAKER_01: And Ashton's like, I don't, I mean, how do you even meet people?
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: And Ashley makes the comment about how all men are cheaters and they're all horrible, and everybody's eyes just get really, really big.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: Because that's how they met.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: Like, how do you say that in front of your husband's ex-wife that you cheated on him with?
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: That's crazy.
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: Crazy, crazy.
- 16:10SPEAKER_01: They all handled it well.
- 16:11SPEAKER_01: But I don't even think Ashley realized what she was saying when she said it.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 16:17SPEAKER_00: And then, you know, people point like obviously.
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: I don't even think she still realizes what she was saying.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: No, until the confessionals, I would love to, I would, I want to know what she when she saw the confessionals, you know, about what they about what they said.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: I would have loved to have seen, have seen that.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: Um, but that's when the thing comes up that you said that after that is when they were like, oh, well, we told mom Elizabeth that she should go on the golden bachelor, which I would be a felt like she, did we look up her?
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: Now we go back again.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: We gotta look up, look up her age.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: She, the golden bachelor, and then that's when because she is too young, right?
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: For the golden bachelor.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: How old do you have to be to be on the golden bachelor?
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: I don't think there's an age.
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: They did try to have like some younger options on there, and that's when he says you'd be a young piece of ASS on the piece of I'm trying to be PG here, um, on the Golden Bachelor.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: Todd does not like that comment.
- 17:09unknown: No.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: Todd is not like that.
- 17:11SPEAKER_01: He thinks it's the most disrespectful thing, which quite honestly it is.
- 17:16SPEAKER_01: Is her age on the now that I think of it, I think I looked up her age.
- 17:19SPEAKER_01: She is in her late 40s.
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: I don't think I don't think her actor's age.
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: Someone will find it out.
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: But right now on the internet, that's right.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: I did try to look it up and it's not, but she's gotta be.
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: I mean, if she was born in the 1970s, so if her late 40s, or she could even be in her 50s.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: I was born in 71 and I'm 55.
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: So what and she's got a 25-year-old daughter, so even if she was 20 when she had her, that puts her at 45.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: But so she's probably somewhere.
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: She's probably late 40s, early 50s.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: And if Todd's 53, she's somewhere in there, I guess.
- 17:53SPEAKER_00: That's too young for the golden bachelor, especially as hot as she looks.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: It is.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: Do you blame Todd?
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: Are you on are you team Todd with that comment?
- 18:01SPEAKER_01: I'm team Todd with that comment because she is no longer in a relationship with TJ, so he has no right to say anything like that about her, especially when her boyfriend is sitting with her at the table.
- 18:11SPEAKER_01: And her one of her children.
- 18:13SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I thought that was weird.
- 18:15SPEAKER_01: It was gross.
- 18:16SPEAKER_00: But it just tells like it just goes along with we kind of know TJ.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: You know, we already know he's a cheater.
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: But now he's been in this marriage a long time.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: I don't know when is there like a statute of limitations where if you're a cheater and you marry the person, then at some point you're not held accountable for that anymore?
- 18:34SPEAKER_01: No, he'll always be held accountable for that, especially if he's gonna maintain a relationship with the woman he cheated on.
- 18:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 18:40SPEAKER_01: And they have this.
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: And it goes back, he even made that comment before about when she was in the New York Post.
- 18:45SPEAKER_01: And you looked great on the cover of the New York Post.
- 18:48SPEAKER_01: So he's making comments that are completely out of line.
- 18:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 18:53SPEAKER_01: Not even thinking twice about it.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: That's crazy.
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: Um then I thought it was funny that they talk about clout chasing, and it's so funny and cute because um they talk about the clout chasing and they go through this whole little thing about, well, how could I be clout chasing?
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: And I'm trying to, I'm trying to follow Alec.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: But then if Alec's stuff flops, then my stuff flops, and then she even breaks the fourth wall and says something about the show.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: And what if the show flops?
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: Um, you know?
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: So it's not gonna flop.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: I don't think it's gonna flop, completely obsessed.
- 19:31SPEAKER_01: I think everybody's obsessed with it.
- 19:32SPEAKER_01: I think it's gonna blow up.
- 19:33SPEAKER_01: I think the Kardashians have somewhat run their course, and this is the new up-and-coming family to follow.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't blame the Kardashian, like as much as Courtney gets on my nerve, like Courtney used to be one of my favorites, and she gets on my nerves with all of her complaining now and all the PDA and all that stuff.
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: But I but then again, I sort of agree with her.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: Like, I understand that she's kind of ready to live her life now.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: And the problem is they built this, you know, billion-dollar brand predicated on them sharing their entire life.
- 20:03SPEAKER_01: But I think it also changes for you when you have children and a family of your own and you're trying to protect them from some of what you had to go through growing up.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 20:11SPEAKER_01: So exactly.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: It's tricky.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: Um, and I saw on another podcast, somebody brought up a good point.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: They were saying that they thought maybe this show would not be good because they're like, oh, we're already seeing everything in real life with Alex Earle, then how are they gonna make a show about it?
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: But I I literally commented on there.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: The thing is, is it's the same with the Kardashians.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: They've been doing this for 20 years almost.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: I think they came out around 08 too.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: Didn't that that show came out around the time that our girls were born?
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: So it's the same thing.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: They are showing, we're seeing all this stuff on social media, but we don't care, we still watch the show and what you're not gonna get them more in-depth.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: It's kind of like you're getting the behind the scenes of everything of everything after you've, you know.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: The the um Alex Cooper thing is a prime example.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: We all like, well, I didn't know I had to, but most people that were Alex Earl fans, they kind of knew what was going on.
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: Now they're getting the behind the scenes and the getting the story.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the funniest thing about the scene where the girls were talking about the clout chasing is we cannot not mention that they were at a full-on nail salon.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: The fact that they have that like mini nail, like it's basically a replica nail salon, and they had on gloves, they're like doing each other's nails.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: I I that was really cool.
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: I die.
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: It's awesome.
- 21:28SPEAKER_01: It's really good.
- 21:29SPEAKER_01: They are so they are so I would have died to have something like that in my room growing up.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 21:34SPEAKER_00: So then they discuss the fact whether or not Alex should lay low.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: Um you know, they discuss Braxton's feelings and the girl, you know, the girls do, and about whether or not Alex should lay low to kind of help Braxton's feelings and everything, which at this point in the story, I'm sure he's already seen the stuff about Tom.
- 21:58SPEAKER_01: Well, and just telling Alex, Alex does not have a good history of not dating.
- 22:03SPEAKER_01: And I think Ashton even brings that up and says, you know, Alex, I don't even know if it was this episode or the next one, possibly.
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: We might be getting into the next one, but she brings up about how Alex always has the next one in line that she's looking at at least.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:18SPEAKER_01: That she's interested in.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: And I mean, obviously she's young, she should have a good time.
- 22:23SPEAKER_01: She, you know, she's whatever else went on with she and Braxton, she made that decision, but but it also shows that she still cares about him, too, because she's worried about his feelings and she's not trying to be out there and have all this out in the media and have him have to see it all.
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: So they really leave you with this really good tease at the end because the episode ends with the next episode with the clip of where they're up in the Aspen and and she calls Braxton at 4 a.m.
- 22:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 22:50SPEAKER_01: Or text she sends him a text at 4 a.m.
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: They're like, who's it?
- 22:53SPEAKER_01: And then he calls her and she tells him they're filming and he hangs up on her.
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: So it's leaves Jesus this little cliffhanger.
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: So that's it.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: That's where episode two ends.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: What did we miss?
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: I think we got it all.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: All right, we'll see you next time.
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: Adios.
