- 0:05Speaker 1: Hello, my loves, Welcome back to the Give Them a
- 0:07Speaker 1: La Podcast. It is yours truly, I have t t here.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Oh hey ever you would is that the good morning?
- 0:15Speaker 2: Hi?
- 0:16Speaker 1: How are you?
- 0:17Speaker 2: How are you?
- 0:19Speaker 1: Today's a struggle, but we're going to get through it.
- 0:22Speaker 1: And it's Friday.
- 0:22Speaker 2: It is Friday.
- 0:23Speaker 1: You invited me to a movie and dinner tonight if I.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Will not be attending.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Well, I mean when you said the movie started at nine,
- 0:31Speaker 1: I was like, you.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Don't need to go to the movie. I just said,
- 0:33Speaker 2: if you wanted to.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Come to dinner, what movie are you guys going to?
- 0:36Speaker 2: The Marvels Captain America? Is that what it is? Yes? Yes?
- 0:40Speaker 1: Any good? Have we seen it?
- 0:41Speaker 2: Have not seen it?
- 0:42Speaker 3: John could have some takes, He says, no spoilers, But
- 0:45Speaker 3: I think the movie is good.
- 0:47Speaker 2: It's all right. It's nothing to go home about.
- 0:49Speaker 3: But I think they're finally steering in a direction storyline wise,
- 0:52Speaker 3: is set up the other movies coming up.
- 0:53Speaker 2: They finally put the train on the track.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Yeah, just like how it was kind of back in
- 0:56Speaker 3: the old days they had the multiverse where they were
- 0:59Speaker 3: just kind of making movies to make movies and just
- 1:01Speaker 3: kind of place characters where they wanted to because they can,
- 1:03Speaker 3: and it seems like they're steering away from that.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Okay, and now.
- 1:06Speaker 3: It just seems like every movie is going to have
- 1:08Speaker 3: meaning going forward.
- 1:10Speaker 1: And who is starring in this Captain America. No, I'm
- 1:15Speaker 1: not in the Marvel world, but the Marvel the Marvel
- 1:21Speaker 1: world like Star Wars and things like that, very very
- 1:25Speaker 1: passionate group of fans. And if there is an actor
- 1:30Speaker 1: actress placed in a role and the audience does not
- 1:34Speaker 1: like them for that role, it could be that, you know,
- 1:37Speaker 1: they it's just a person. No scandals, they're like Swifties.
- 1:42Speaker 1: They're like the Bravo universe. They will tear you down
- 1:46Speaker 1: and you will not You'll be unhireable.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Yes, wild Welcome to the Marvel.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Welcome to the Marvels. Jesus Christ. It's a hard word.
- 2:00Speaker 1: So I live a little bit under a rock, as
- 2:02Speaker 1: you guys know. But I was on my podcast page,
- 2:05Speaker 1: so my personal Instagram page Laala Kent is the Explore
- 2:11Speaker 1: page is. There's very little Bravo on the Explore page there.
- 2:16Speaker 1: And I don't know why. I don't know if it's
- 2:19Speaker 1: the algorithm. I don't know how technology works. I don't
- 2:22Speaker 1: know if it listens to me, but the podcast page
- 2:25Speaker 1: that give them Lalla pod page is and I rarely
- 2:30Speaker 1: get on to the Explore page, right, but I posted
- 2:35Speaker 1: something and it just like right after took me to
- 2:37Speaker 1: this Explore page and I was like, WHOA, A lot
- 2:40Speaker 1: of Bravo stuff happened in here and before I start.
- 2:46Speaker 1: I met with Chris Medina the other night. So you
- 2:49Speaker 1: guys are like my group of people, right, And for
- 2:52Speaker 1: some reason this past year it's been I haven't felt
- 2:55Speaker 1: like myself and I've tried to shake a lot of
- 2:57Speaker 1: things off. I was in a position that I've never
- 2:59Speaker 1: really been in before. I was certainly hormonal, and whatever
- 3:04Speaker 1: the reason, I think we all know the reason. But
- 3:06Speaker 1: I started becoming very self like hyper aware. I would
- 3:11Speaker 1: get nervous to say certain things, address certain things. I
- 3:16Speaker 1: just kind of wanted. I wanted to disappear without disappearing.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I wanted to crawl in a hole and just like
- 3:21Speaker 1: have people forget about me, but not forget about me,
- 3:23Speaker 1: if that makes any sense. I just haven't wanted to
- 3:27Speaker 1: really be myself. And after meeting with Chris Medina, we
- 3:31Speaker 1: had a lovely dinner. He's one of my most favorite people.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I'm going to get him back on the podcast because
- 3:36Speaker 1: I just think he's epic. And if you guys remember,
- 3:39Speaker 1: Chris Medina is really the one who told me that
- 3:42Speaker 1: my life was about to take a different direction and
- 3:44Speaker 1: that I needed to abort mission on my ex and
- 3:46Speaker 1: start getting my ducks in a row. That was in
- 3:49Speaker 1: September of twenty twenty one. By October, everything he said
- 3:53Speaker 1: came to fruition by November first, which is what he
- 3:56Speaker 1: gave me that date. He said something significant is going
- 3:59Speaker 1: to happen, and it absolutely did so to me, his
- 4:02Speaker 1: word and what he says is Bible, and he doesn't bullshit.
- 4:05Speaker 1: He's not here to paint a pretty picture. He's not
- 4:07Speaker 1: here to tell you exactly what's going to happen in
- 4:09Speaker 1: your life. He just kind of he feels very gifted
- 4:15Speaker 1: in a way that is is not to it's not
- 4:19Speaker 1: for show, it's not to gain a paycheck. This man
- 4:22Speaker 1: is just gifted and he shares what he shares, right
- 4:26Speaker 1: take it or leave it. I take him as Bible,
- 4:30Speaker 1: and he really gave me a boost in in myself
- 4:33Speaker 1: again and got me easton nose. I walked in the
- 4:36Speaker 1: house and I was like, I'm fucking back I'm fucking
- 4:40Speaker 1: La La Kent, Like we're here and I'm like done
- 4:45Speaker 1: with that person that has existed the past year. Let's
- 4:50Speaker 1: move on too, my baby this morning. So, first of all,
- 4:54Speaker 1: being a mom is very intense, especially to someone like
- 4:58Speaker 1: Ocean Kent, because she will call you on your shit. Yeah,
- 5:03Speaker 1: at four years old, I have been exhausted. Sosa is
- 5:07Speaker 1: completely off of HER's Sosa is very very needy right now.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Well she's sick.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I think it's beyond no no no no no.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Okay, we can't kind of get her. I was going
- 5:17Speaker 2: to get her back, but we're going to have her back. Yeah. No.
- 5:20Speaker 4: She loves her mom. And when you leave, I'm not
- 5:24Speaker 4: going to say she's tough. Yeah, but she's tough just because.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Like whiny, right, Yeah, she just wants her mom.
- 5:31Speaker 4: So it's like I feed her, I'll burper, I'll change
- 5:35Speaker 4: your diape, I'll put her in her playpins and like
- 5:39Speaker 4: give her activity tummy time.
- 5:41Speaker 2: I'll hold her and walk around.
- 5:43Speaker 4: But there's just always some feeling of discomfort and her
- 5:47Speaker 4: like looking like where's my mom?
- 5:50Speaker 2: Yeah that, but I mean I feel like this is.
- 5:53Speaker 4: My first time even seeing you know, maybe five six
- 5:56Speaker 4: months I've been around them as much as I have,
- 6:00Speaker 4: but I just see that that's her most comfort and
- 6:04Speaker 4: her favorite place to be is in your arms. So
- 6:06Speaker 4: when you're not there, it's a little bit of frustration.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Well, yes, and it's amazing. She's a no, she's a
- 6:14Speaker 1: great baby, but you guys, when everyone's snoozing and granted,
- 6:19Speaker 1: this just comes with the territory of having a new baby,
- 6:22Speaker 1: but I had her on a really great schedule, and
- 6:26Speaker 1: her perfectly round head shows that she has been held
- 6:30Speaker 1: a lot. She's rarely put down. That is, has now
- 6:34Speaker 1: manifested itself into a spoiled little baby. And there are
- 6:40Speaker 1: people who say, like, babies can't be spoiled. They don't
- 6:43Speaker 1: know how to manipulate you. Yet they don't. They just
- 6:47Speaker 1: know what feels good, and that's being in your arms
- 6:51Speaker 1: or when you come in the room. And I get that.
- 6:53Speaker 1: But in order for me to be a good mom,
- 6:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna need to like practice a little bit of girl.
- 7:01Speaker 1: You gotta like self soothed, because what's happening now is
- 7:04Speaker 1: I put her down because she's exhausted by six thirty.
- 7:07Speaker 1: She will then wake up at midnight. She then will
- 7:10Speaker 1: wake up at two she'll then wake up at four
- 7:14Speaker 1: and we start our day by six thirty.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Is she eating at those hours or is she just like.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Up at midnight? So as moms, we know what cry
- 7:25Speaker 1: to listen for. Right the midnight cry is definitely like
- 7:29Speaker 1: I'm hungry. I think she's ready for food. I think
- 7:32Speaker 1: we start, we need to start introducing food. She's a
- 7:36Speaker 1: week and a half shy of being six months. I
- 7:39Speaker 1: talk to the night nurse who's no longer working in
- 7:42Speaker 1: the home, but I still communicate with her. She's actually
- 7:44Speaker 1: watching so So right now, but she said, you can
- 7:47Speaker 1: definitely start bringing in the food, and I think that
- 7:50Speaker 1: that will hold her over. And she's also fixated when
- 7:53Speaker 1: I'm eating anything on it and tries to bite it.
- 7:57Speaker 2: It's the cutest thing in the world.
- 7:58Speaker 1: It's very cute, and I feel bad. It's like pretending
- 8:00Speaker 1: to give a dog a treat and then pulling it
- 8:02Speaker 1: away from them and.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Then they just look at you like, well, why'd you
- 8:05Speaker 2: do it?
- 8:06Speaker 1: So sad. So that's where I'm at with so So
- 8:10Speaker 1: right now. Is trying to get her back because for
- 8:12Speaker 1: a moment it was like six thirty, we may have
- 8:14Speaker 1: one wake up of just like fussing, and we would
- 8:17Speaker 1: then start the day at six thirty. I was getting
- 8:19Speaker 1: I was getting an okay amount of sleep because I
- 8:20Speaker 1: am fixated on the monitor at all times. You can't
- 8:24Speaker 1: not be You're never you're never hitting rems likely when you.
- 8:27Speaker 4: Yeah, when you leave me and she's asleep, that monitor
- 8:30Speaker 4: is on my hip at all times even and she'll
- 8:33Speaker 4: just go down.
- 8:33Speaker 2: She's dead asleep, and I'm just staring at it, like
- 8:35Speaker 2: if she moves.
- 8:36Speaker 1: But if she moves exactly.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Like if she turns over, if she grabs, does she
- 8:40Speaker 2: know what to do? Oh?
- 8:43Speaker 4: Yeah, because she can't. Well when I say that, so
- 8:46Speaker 4: she can't pull him over her face? Well, you know,
- 8:48Speaker 4: everything scares me because she's such a grabber.
- 8:50Speaker 1: She's a grabber for sure. Yeah, and she's just very
- 8:53Speaker 1: different from from ocean, like ocean. I could put her
- 8:56Speaker 1: down in that, like she's in a transitional sleepsack right
- 8:59Speaker 1: now now where it's going from swaddle where they're like
- 9:03Speaker 1: in a straight jacket, can't do shit to being in
- 9:07Speaker 1: this like puff suit. And I'm like, this is scary
- 9:11Speaker 1: to me.
- 9:11Speaker 2: It's frightening. Yes, I put her in that, and I
- 9:14Speaker 2: was like, there's just no.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Way there's just it just simply can't be done. Like,
- 9:18Speaker 1: what if you get a footstuck in one of those bars.
- 9:21Speaker 1: They're telling you not to put bumpers in there, but
- 9:23Speaker 1: what if I have I walk in and she like
- 9:24Speaker 1: broke her tiny little ankle because she got her foot
- 9:26Speaker 1: stuck in there.
- 9:27Speaker 2: She's spinning around. Now.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Oh yeah, she's a mover and a groover and a bouncer.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Baby lock her in, no for real?
- 9:34Speaker 1: So this morning, Uh, Ocean woke up and she's so
- 9:39Speaker 1: freaking cute. So she she comes in my bed at night,
- 9:42Speaker 1: but she wakes me up and tells me Sosa's crying
- 9:46Speaker 1: and I can hear her. I can hear Sosa, but
- 9:49Speaker 1: I'm like, it's six twenty. I'm not coming in until
- 9:52Speaker 1: six thirty. Yea, it just can't be done. I bring
- 9:55Speaker 1: Sosa in whatever, I'm feeding her on the boob, and
- 9:58Speaker 1: Ocean says, mom, you you're just the best mom ever.
- 10:03Speaker 1: She goes. You take care of me, you take care
- 10:05Speaker 1: of Sosa, you take care of this whole house, you
- 10:08Speaker 1: take care of our toys. I just love you, mom,
- 10:11Speaker 1: You're just really great.
- 10:13Speaker 2: And I was like I so needed that this morning. Yeah,
- 10:17Speaker 2: Like I.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Feel like I'm gonna cry.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Oh you should cry because you really aren't a great mom.
- 10:21Speaker 1: It wasn't even about that. I'm like this child who
- 10:25Speaker 1: was like four years old, not even yet. I don't
- 10:29Speaker 1: know if she was sensing that, like I needed just
- 10:31Speaker 1: a little boost of like, hey, you're fucking doing great.
- 10:37Speaker 2: No, she's she's an old soul. She's very bright.
- 10:40Speaker 4: Yeah, she can go off emotion very well. Even I've
- 10:43Speaker 4: seen her do it to Gigi, Yeah, are you okay?
- 10:46Speaker 4: And it's when like I'm in a tiff or we're
- 10:49Speaker 4: all in a tiff together and she'll go up to Gigi.
- 10:51Speaker 4: But no, she does have that that sense of if
- 10:57Speaker 4: if you need help, I feel that yes, and she
- 10:59Speaker 4: has that in her and she really does come at
- 11:02Speaker 4: the perfect time.
- 11:03Speaker 1: It's wild to me. She's like such a magical spirit.
- 11:07Speaker 4: Yeah, And to hear that from your child is a
- 11:10Speaker 4: love that I have not been able to feel yet.
- 11:12Speaker 4: So I guarantee it's just a different feeling for you
- 11:16Speaker 4: as well, just to hear your little human that is
- 11:18Speaker 4: getting a personality, that is getting friends and having playdates,
- 11:24Speaker 4: coming to you and just saying I love you.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Yeah, Like it's a different it's a different feeling. I
- 11:28Speaker 2: feel like, yeah, she's.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Just very emotionally intelligent, and like yesterday, I'll give you
- 11:34Speaker 1: guys a couple of stories then and then we'll move
- 11:36Speaker 1: on to all of our our goodness that we want
- 11:39Speaker 1: to talk about. But she said, so, I was taking
- 11:42Speaker 1: a nap and she came up to me and started
- 11:43Speaker 1: kissing me on the face, and I was kind of like,
- 11:46Speaker 1: I think that's when I hit my rem sleep.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Yesterday.
- 11:48Speaker 1: I was during the nap because she says, mom I
- 11:51Speaker 1: want to I want to cuddle you. But I was
- 11:53Speaker 1: kind of disoriented and I was like, not right now.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Well that upset her. And what I'm learning so I've
- 12:01Speaker 1: been reading up on parenting and when a child comes
- 12:04Speaker 1: to you, because she kept saying to me, you hurt
- 12:06Speaker 1: my feelings, and I noticed myself going into excuses. But
- 12:10Speaker 1: Mommy was tired, I told you because I did. I
- 12:13Speaker 1: was like, you can cuddle me right here, and I
- 12:15Speaker 1: like pad it on my knees or my legs, and
- 12:19Speaker 1: I'm like, no, no, no, we can't come up with
- 12:22Speaker 1: a plethora of excuses. You hurt your baby's feelings. This
- 12:27Speaker 1: is the moment that you lead by example and you
- 12:30Speaker 1: say to her I'm really sorry that was not kind.
- 12:32Speaker 4: But also I do agree that, like you needed your
- 12:36Speaker 4: space at that time maybe and you didn't want anyone
- 12:39Speaker 4: in your area, and to tell your child that not
- 12:42Speaker 4: right now, even if you hurt her feelings, I feel
- 12:44Speaker 4: like that's giving her structure for the real world of
- 12:46Speaker 4: you aren't going to get everything that you do want.
- 12:48Speaker 1: That's actually interesting because in this episode we're going to
- 12:51Speaker 1: talk about this new term I don't know if it's new.
- 12:54Speaker 1: I just learned about it, called lawnmower parenting, and that
- 12:57Speaker 1: kind of goes hand in hand. And I think I
- 13:00Speaker 1: think you're right. But at the same time, it's.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Like, because how I look at it is, if.
- 13:07Speaker 1: You do, you can apologize, but then say like, but
- 13:10Speaker 1: do you know why Mommy told you that?
- 13:12Speaker 4: Be honest about why you and don't come up with
- 13:14Speaker 4: excuses if I was tired or this, or that I
- 13:16Speaker 4: just needed me time. Because how I look at it is,
- 13:20Speaker 4: if you're telling her that, and she's always going to
- 13:22Speaker 4: be able to cuddle you and this and that if
- 13:24Speaker 4: she goes with her friends, she feels like, no matter
- 13:27Speaker 4: what you have to do, what I'm doing, she's never
- 13:29Speaker 4: being told no, oh, that's going to be a weird transition. Okay,
- 13:33Speaker 4: so maybe I'm thinking way too in depth, but I
- 13:36Speaker 4: feel now I think this is great accouring her to
- 13:38Speaker 4: like when her friend says, no, don't touch me, Okay, my.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Mom has done that. Okay, that's how I look at it.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Oh, I love this Easton. Oh you got my wheels.
- 13:48Speaker 1: I am excited to read you what lawnmower parents are.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Oh, I'm excited. I saw it, but I didn't read
- 13:53Speaker 2: into it.
- 13:54Speaker 1: I mean, it's really there's no better topic than talking
- 13:58Speaker 1: about parenting because we're all, like I said, survival. Last thing,
- 14:07Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you about Ocean. Before I got
- 14:09Speaker 1: here to the podcast, so I was getting her ready
- 14:12Speaker 1: for school. We negotiated a bun. She wanted a ponytail.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I said. Her outfit was so chic, you guys. It
- 14:20Speaker 1: was like this oversized white T shirt and these like
- 14:23Speaker 1: cargo pants, these like cargo jeans, so like super wide
- 14:27Speaker 1: and baggy like boyfriend style.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:32Speaker 1: No, they were jeans with her fresh little new nikes,
- 14:36Speaker 1: and I had to negotiate. I'm like, it looks better
- 14:38Speaker 1: with a bun with the bang's ocean like, not the
- 14:40Speaker 1: pony and so I said I will put fruit snacks
- 14:44Speaker 1: in your lunch today if you let and she was like,
- 14:49Speaker 1: let me think okay. I was like, perfect, let's put
- 14:53Speaker 1: it in a bun. So I get her ready. I
- 14:55Speaker 1: start getting ready, and I had told her after I
- 14:57Speaker 1: did the bun, I was like, you look so freaking cool.
- 15:01Speaker 1: So I'm getting ready. I put on this outfit. I
- 15:03Speaker 1: don't need you guys to say that Ocean lied to me.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Just keep your thoughts to yourself. But she walks into
- 15:08Speaker 1: my closet and goes, oh, mom, you look so she
- 15:15Speaker 1: hell yeah, no she.
- 15:21Speaker 4: I don't know where she's getting it from or if
- 15:23Speaker 4: we're just saying things that like we don't really know.
- 15:26Speaker 4: But she comes up and she says somehowtlandish shit, and
- 15:29Speaker 4: I'm like, that is our family.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Though I wanted to correct her and tell her that
- 15:33Speaker 1: she can't say hell yeah, but I felt so good
- 15:35Speaker 1: after she said it. When she was like, che hell yeah,
- 15:38Speaker 1: I was like, yes, hell yeah. Take on the day together.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Girl.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Oh I felt really poor and heard the same song
- 15:49Speaker 1: yeah but dah, but do yeah, I don't know.
- 15:51Speaker 2: What somebody yes, can somebody tell us sing it?
- 15:55Speaker 1: That's what I don't that's she knows the whole song.
- 15:58Speaker 1: I actually recorded her performing it all that of staff.
- 16:01Speaker 4: And but fifteen minutes of the same verse and chorus.
- 16:09Speaker 1: And when we wouldn't pay attention to her, she'd sing
- 16:11Speaker 1: it louder.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Oh God morning.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin have a new podcast. It's
- 16:20Speaker 1: called Let's Not Talk About the Husband. I don't know
- 16:23Speaker 1: if you've seen this episode. Kim Richards, who's Kyle Richards's sister,
- 16:30Speaker 1: and I think they're in Amsterdam. They're all at dinner
- 16:35Speaker 1: and yeah me, I think, yeah they are, and Kim
- 16:40Speaker 1: says let's not talk about the husband. To Lisa Rennan,
- 16:44Speaker 1: she goes, what did you just say? What did you
- 16:46Speaker 1: just fucking say? So don't you ever talk about my husband?
- 16:50Speaker 1: And she picks up a wine glass and hucks it
- 16:53Speaker 1: at the table towards Kim and it shatters everywhere it
- 16:57Speaker 1: was and she was like, don't you dare come for
- 16:59Speaker 1: my fucking husband, like losing it. So it's like a
- 17:03Speaker 1: little nod the podcast name to that moment. But the
- 17:09Speaker 1: first episode she talks about that story and what was
- 17:14Speaker 1: going through her mind. And I've been there right not
- 17:19Speaker 1: where it's lasted as long as like she and Hamlin
- 17:22Speaker 1: where they have like two kids together. They've been together
- 17:24Speaker 1: for decades. But like I remember back in the day,
- 17:28Speaker 1: like don't come for my man, like I will cut you.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Are you trying to get popped or are you trying
- 17:33Speaker 1: to get along? I said that in one of the episodes,
- 17:37Speaker 1: Oh boy, oh boys, right unhinged. I think I had
- 17:41Speaker 1: a cocktail next to me too. But she left the
- 17:45Speaker 1: show in January of twenty twenty two and immediately went
- 17:49Speaker 1: to Paris. And we've spoken about this that after that
- 17:52Speaker 1: her career, she's like a fashion icon now, like she's
- 17:56Speaker 1: very much in the world a fashion she's on covers
- 18:00Speaker 1: a fashion magazine, She's sitting front row at fashion shows.
- 18:05Speaker 1: And I'm not talking about like the little like La
- 18:09Speaker 1: Fashion Week. I'm talking about like we're going to Paris,
- 18:12Speaker 1: We're going to Milan, We're going to New York. Like
- 18:14Speaker 1: she's everywhere. But the moment you mentioned her name in
- 18:18Speaker 1: the Bravo Universe, people lose their minds on her. They
- 18:24Speaker 1: do not like her. And she said that one of
- 18:26Speaker 1: her cast members basically had their little army essentially start
- 18:32Speaker 1: to come for Renna online, and she basically was canceled
- 18:38Speaker 1: by the audience, which I thought was just absurd. Her
- 18:41Speaker 1: last season on Housewives, she had just lost her mom.
- 18:45Speaker 1: She was I'm not gonna call her unhinged, she was
- 18:50Speaker 1: so devastated.
- 18:51Speaker 4: Well yeah, and I was going to interrupt you and
- 18:53Speaker 4: just say as somebody and obviously you that lost a parent.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Mm hm, you can be on hire inged. Yeah, and
- 19:02Speaker 2: you have like that.
- 19:03Speaker 4: There's a length that you can be unhinged. You can't
- 19:05Speaker 4: just be unhinged forever. But the first two years of
- 19:09Speaker 4: dad's passing, I was fucking unhinged.
- 19:12Speaker 1: How could you not be?
- 19:13Speaker 2: Yeah? So I feel like the who the people.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Who were guiding you on this planet are now gone
- 19:21Speaker 1: and you never I don't feel like you ever stop
- 19:24Speaker 1: needing your parents, no matter how old you are, even
- 19:26Speaker 1: when you have kids like you look.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Because age, that's the thing.
- 19:31Speaker 4: I don't care if you were my age twenty five
- 19:33Speaker 4: when you lost your dad or mom, or if you
- 19:35Speaker 4: were sixty and you lost your mom. It's different because
- 19:39Speaker 4: as you grow older, you still have questions. You have
- 19:42Speaker 4: questions about your forties. In your forties, you don't know
- 19:46Speaker 4: fifty yet your.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Dad does, your mom does.
- 19:48Speaker 4: So when you hit that, you have those questions you're
- 19:50Speaker 4: still needing those answers. Yeah, so no matter when you
- 19:53Speaker 4: lose your parent, you're losing answers.
- 19:57Speaker 1: I love what you just saiged. Really that season of her,
- 20:01Speaker 1: it just resonated with me where you're like, I'm angry,
- 20:04Speaker 1: I'm sad, I'm lost.
- 20:06Speaker 2: I'm confused. Yes, I am.
- 20:08Speaker 1: You completely lose all side of that. So I thought.
- 20:12Speaker 1: I didn't think that her cast gave her a lot
- 20:14Speaker 1: of grace, and the audience for sure didn't give her
- 20:17Speaker 1: a lot of grace. And you know, she says that
- 20:21Speaker 1: she wishes she would have said I'm done at that reunion.
- 20:26Speaker 1: She waited a little bit to say like, I'm not
- 20:28Speaker 1: gonna come back, but she said that is her regret
- 20:32Speaker 1: is not at that reunion defending herself and then saying
- 20:36Speaker 1: like and I'm done with this show. And she has
- 20:38Speaker 1: said I will never go back what I do love
- 20:40Speaker 1: And why would you?
- 20:42Speaker 2: Yeah, why would you?
- 20:43Speaker 1: When you put yourself out there for this audience and
- 20:47Speaker 1: they love you one moment and then you lose that
- 20:50Speaker 1: most vulnerable yes, and then you lose your mom. You're
- 20:54Speaker 1: your most vulnerable and they turn on you and they're
- 20:57Speaker 1: sending you death threats. You want to know. The The
- 21:00Speaker 1: theme song of a moment like that is the song
- 21:04Speaker 1: by the Chicks called Not Ready to Make Nice. They
- 21:07Speaker 1: made that song after they had said something about the
- 21:11Speaker 1: president I think it was Bush, and the people didn't
- 21:15Speaker 1: like it. They started throwing their CDs in the street,
- 21:18Speaker 1: running them over with fucking bulldozers. Then time passes, people
- 21:23Speaker 1: start taking a liking to them again. They hit us
- 21:26Speaker 1: with this song, not Ready to Make Nice, and it's basically,
- 21:30Speaker 1: you guys treated us, You left us in a moment
- 21:35Speaker 1: that we needed you, and I'm not over it yet.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Cool with y'all. You guys have you've You've sent me
- 21:44Speaker 1: death threat, You've done all of these things, and I'm
- 21:47Speaker 1: pissed off.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Stem choose when you like me and dislike me.
- 21:51Speaker 1: You don't get to rock with me when when I'm
- 21:54Speaker 1: up here, and then when I'm at a very low
- 21:57Speaker 1: low and I say something that you may not agree with,
- 22:00Speaker 1: then send me the most horrendous, venomous messages and then
- 22:07Speaker 1: it's it's all gonna be good because time passes.
- 22:09Speaker 2: No, I'm fucking talking with me anyway.
- 22:11Speaker 1: No rocks. Yeah that's how I feel. So she's never
- 22:15Speaker 1: going back. I do love to see that she's still
- 22:17Speaker 1: friends with She's still friends with Kyle, She's still friends
- 22:20Speaker 1: with Deret Erica Jane, like they have a really cute
- 22:23Speaker 1: friendship still going on. And that's what's sad. So for
- 22:28Speaker 1: her to be heavy fucking hitters.
- 22:30Speaker 4: Like for her to be in there and like they
- 22:33Speaker 4: want to be in her graces, that speaks loudly about her.
- 22:37Speaker 1: I love Renna, and no one can tell me otherwise.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I think she's fucking gangster. She doesn't care if you
- 22:43Speaker 1: don't want to hear it. She doesn't care if it's
- 22:45Speaker 1: an unpopular opinion. She she says it like it is
- 22:49Speaker 1: or how she sees it. And I'm sorry, you may.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Not like it, but I'm gonna say it.
- 22:54Speaker 1: What is that I think? Is it? Calici goes, You
- 22:57Speaker 1: don't have to love me, you don't even have to
- 22:59Speaker 1: like me, but you will respect me if you can
- 23:02Speaker 1: be you authentically you at all times, even when people go,
- 23:06Speaker 1: I don't fucking agree with you at all. You may
- 23:09Speaker 1: not like me, love me, but you got to respect it. Yeah,
- 23:13Speaker 1: that's how I feel. So I watched the new documentary
- 23:19Speaker 1: about Gabby Patito. What I gathered was the laundry parents
- 23:24Speaker 1: are pieces of shit. His parents, Brian Laundry, the one
- 23:28Speaker 1: who did it.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Didn't they try to cover it up.
- 23:30Speaker 1: So during this time, I remember it vividly. There were
- 23:33Speaker 1: so many people. There were like group text messages. Everyone
- 23:36Speaker 1: was trying to solve this, this missing person's case. And
- 23:40Speaker 1: then they obviously found the body and everyone knew that
- 23:43Speaker 1: it was it just I don't remember any documentary having
- 23:48Speaker 1: this level of interviews, this level of receipts brought where
- 23:53Speaker 1: like Brian Laundry's mom sent a letter to him and
- 23:58Speaker 1: it said after reading and in it it basically states
- 24:03Speaker 1: how much she loves and supports him, and it says,
- 24:06Speaker 1: if you kill someone, I will bring you the shovels
- 24:11Speaker 1: to bury the body. And they show police footage. Gabby's
- 24:16Speaker 1: mom calls in to her local authority saying, my daughter's
- 24:21Speaker 1: been gone for ten days. I haven't heard a word
- 24:24Speaker 1: from her. It's not like her. They call down to Florida.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Florida police go up to the Laundry home. The parents
- 24:32Speaker 1: come out. They say that he flew back, he's here,
- 24:38Speaker 1: but she's not. Okay, Well, can we talk to him? No,
- 24:40Speaker 1: you can contact our lawyer. How the fuck you're gonna
- 24:43Speaker 1: have a lawyer already, and how is he how has
- 24:46Speaker 1: he flown back? But Gabby's van is parked in the driveway,
- 24:50Speaker 1: and we got to from from what I saw, it
- 24:53Speaker 1: was the first time seeing the conversations that were happening
- 24:57Speaker 1: between New York and Florida to understand how to locate
- 25:03Speaker 1: this Brian laundry or get him to talk at all,
- 25:07Speaker 1: and people going, this is suspicious, like New York was saying,
- 25:11Speaker 1: you don't think it's suspicious that he claims to have
- 25:13Speaker 1: flown home, but her van is in the driveway. You
- 25:16Speaker 1: don't think it's suspicious that he's home and her family
- 25:19Speaker 1: hasn't heard from her in over ten days. It was
- 25:23Speaker 1: the most wild thing I had ever watched in my life,
- 25:28Speaker 1: to see real footage of police and actually what goes
- 25:34Speaker 1: into yes, and you know, her family then went to
- 25:40Speaker 1: Utah because the fight that kind of kicked everything off
- 25:44Speaker 1: was in Moab and Gabby's mom and dad. There's this
- 25:50Speaker 1: law that they want to pass. I forgive me. I
- 25:53Speaker 1: don't know if it passed, but there's eleven questions in
- 25:56Speaker 1: a domestic violence situation need to ask before letting the
- 26:03Speaker 1: two people go. They said, had these eleven questions been
- 26:07Speaker 1: asked and answered. We believe that Gabby would still be
- 26:10Speaker 1: here today.
- 26:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean that's the one thing with this, uh,
- 26:15Speaker 4: with the law. Yeah, you get them when it's too late.
- 26:18Speaker 4: People come and say that this has been going on,
- 26:21Speaker 4: that's been going on, and they're like, well, we don't
- 26:22Speaker 4: there's nothing we can do, we can't do anything, and
- 26:25Speaker 4: then they end up dying. Another one that happened was
- 26:27Speaker 4: in Utah. Remember the the girl who the guy was
- 26:31Speaker 4: stalking her. He said he was way younger than at.
- 26:33Speaker 1: The University of Utah.
- 26:35Speaker 2: And then when and they were saying like there wasn't
- 26:37Speaker 2: enough evidence, she kept calling.
- 26:38Speaker 1: She went to the police, she went to it.
- 26:41Speaker 4: Was like campus security, all of these things, and they
- 26:44Speaker 4: didn't do anything. And look what happened. And she came
- 26:47Speaker 4: with receipts that I think were enough evidence to at
- 26:51Speaker 4: least detain him, ask him, see what the hell is
- 26:55Speaker 4: going on on his end. But now we have a
- 26:57Speaker 4: death and another thing just too late, And how many
- 27:00Speaker 4: of them have we been too late.
- 27:03Speaker 1: And nothing has changed, And it's it's like, why don't
- 27:06Speaker 1: we try a new approach. How about we prevent death
- 27:09Speaker 1: instead of holding people accountable? After the person has been murdered.
- 27:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I a little off topic, but on topic. I
- 27:18Speaker 4: don't know the tennis player's name. But there was a
- 27:22Speaker 4: tennis match going and the girl stopped in the middle
- 27:27Speaker 4: of the game, okay, walked over to like the tennis
- 27:32Speaker 4: ref the ref okay, and was crying. She spotted her
- 27:35Speaker 4: stalker in the fucking crowd out of thousands of people,
- 27:40Speaker 4: and she broke down and started crying.
- 27:43Speaker 1: They did they do anything?
- 27:44Speaker 2: I mean, I saw like the video.
- 27:45Speaker 4: I didn't look more into it, but I'm a I
- 27:47Speaker 4: think they fucking probably escorted him. And they have questions,
- 27:50Speaker 4: but like, how what if she didn't cry? What if
- 27:53Speaker 4: she didn't make you know, it apparent that she was
- 27:57Speaker 4: in discomfort in front of all of these people.
- 27:58Speaker 2: What if she just kept playing?
- 27:59Speaker 4: Was like I'm all right, left and got killed again?
- 28:02Speaker 4: You know, like what if that was he was there
- 28:04Speaker 4: for that?
- 28:05Speaker 1: What do you mean killed again? Have you any talented.
- 28:07Speaker 4: If he were to kill Like I'm just saying again,
- 28:09Speaker 4: like we got it too late.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Oh say, yah're in.
- 28:13Speaker 4: Just another case that we got too late. If she
- 28:15Speaker 4: didn't make that, like if she didn't cry and everybody
- 28:19Speaker 4: was seeing it and she pointed the guy out right,
- 28:22Speaker 4: who knows if she left that match, if she would
- 28:24Speaker 4: have kept her mouth shut, if she would have been
- 28:26Speaker 4: murdered by him.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Her name's Emma Radu.
- 28:29Speaker 2: Kanu sounds about right.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what though, that's another I'm just gonna
- 28:35Speaker 1: say it. In the eyes of the legal system, no
- 28:40Speaker 1: matter which one it is, whether it's justice, family court,
- 28:44Speaker 1: women are looked at as volatile, unhinged, emotional, and we
- 28:53Speaker 1: are looked at as as people who overreact.
- 28:56Speaker 4: But can I say, I feel like that's all true,
- 29:00Speaker 4: to be honest, But can I tell you why? It's
- 29:03Speaker 4: because you guys have been in that position for so
- 29:05Speaker 4: long and you're wanting somebody to fucking listen.
- 29:08Speaker 1: But they don't look at it that way. They look
- 29:10Speaker 1: at it as, oh, see, look, how there she's being
- 29:14Speaker 1: a woman. And I just want to point this out
- 29:17Speaker 1: out of all of the people, statistically, how many more
- 29:21Speaker 1: men than women When you see a woman saying, please
- 29:24Speaker 1: fucking do something when it comes to their children, when
- 29:27Speaker 1: it comes to their own safety, no one does anything. Why, well,
- 29:31Speaker 1: she's just emotional and then she ends up dead and
- 29:33Speaker 1: guess who it usually is? The fucking guy in that
- 29:37Speaker 1: moment with Gabby Patito. She took all the blame. He
- 29:41Speaker 1: went to some fucking hotel because he didn't have any money.
- 29:44Speaker 1: It was for it was a place where people who
- 29:47Speaker 1: have fallen victim to domestic violence. That's where he was
- 29:51Speaker 1: taken while this one hundred and they said, one hundred
- 29:56Speaker 1: and ten pound girl was left to stay by herself
- 29:59Speaker 1: in a van while he got to go. And this
- 30:03Speaker 1: is what the cops said. You can go get a
- 30:04Speaker 1: warm shower and watch some TV while Gabby is in
- 30:09Speaker 1: this van by herself and she can go get it.
- 30:13Speaker 1: You since she can go get a shower for like
- 30:15Speaker 1: four or five bucks, relax, how about this? How about
- 30:19Speaker 1: you put me up in the hotel and make this
- 30:22Speaker 1: fucking guy stay in the van. Keep in mind someone
- 30:25Speaker 1: called the cops and said, we just saw a guy
- 30:28Speaker 1: slapping a woman.
- 30:29Speaker 2: So the abuser gets taken care of in this world.
- 30:33Speaker 1: Because he's calm. Gabby's having a panic attack.
- 30:37Speaker 4: She's having her women. So you know, why do we
- 30:41Speaker 4: look at them as they're emotional? There this there that, No,
- 30:46Speaker 4: they want to be fucking heard, we listen.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Thank you, yes, I agree. Did you know that in
- 30:53Speaker 1: the family court system, if a mother has suspicions that
- 30:56Speaker 1: her child is running the risk of being harmed by
- 31:02Speaker 1: the father, which is usually how it goes. I'm not
- 31:05Speaker 1: saying all the time, but statistics show more times than.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Not more men.
- 31:09Speaker 1: It's the men who the woman fears, not all the time.
- 31:14Speaker 1: There are some women who are all so scary.
- 31:16Speaker 2: Show yes, is more of the men.
- 31:19Speaker 1: When a mother says, I am worried for the safety
- 31:23Speaker 1: of my child. The court system, if the man is
- 31:27Speaker 1: not convicted of something, they get a full custody of
- 31:32Speaker 1: the child, and the accuser ends up losing full custody,
- 31:36Speaker 1: and in many cases more than should happen, the child
- 31:41Speaker 1: ends up dying by murder suicide. And they go back
- 31:45Speaker 1: and show how many times the mother went to the police,
- 31:48Speaker 1: went to her lawyer, went to a judge, saying, someone
- 31:52Speaker 1: fucking listen to me, I'm very worried about my child.
- 31:56Speaker 1: The entire Gabby Petito Sitch situation could have been handled
- 32:01Speaker 1: very differently and she would still be here. I believe
- 32:05Speaker 1: had that situation in Moab been handled differently. Keep in mind,
- 32:10Speaker 1: for the first time I saw the boyfriend interviewed, his
- 32:14Speaker 1: name's Jackson, and there was a moment that Brian on
- 32:18Speaker 1: the road trip, went back to Florida to clean out
- 32:21Speaker 1: a storage unit. In this time, she calls her ex boyfriend.
- 32:26Speaker 1: She basically texts him and says, I want to talk
- 32:28Speaker 1: and catch up if you're around, I'm only going to
- 32:31Speaker 1: be alone until tomorrow. They end up connecting. They're talking
- 32:34Speaker 1: catching up, and he said I could tell that there
- 32:36Speaker 1: was something that she still wanted to talk about, so
- 32:40Speaker 1: he asked her. She said, I want to leave Brian,
- 32:43Speaker 1: and I'm going to implement my plan. On August twenty seventh,
- 32:48Speaker 1: she tries calling Jackson again. He doesn't answer because he's
- 32:52Speaker 1: at work. That was the last time that anybody heard
- 32:57Speaker 1: from her. Poor man and he they take a trip
- 33:03Speaker 1: to where her body was found in Wyoming and it's
- 33:09Speaker 1: a big group of them, mom, dad, best friends, Jack's
- 33:12Speaker 1: and the ex boyfriend and they take a group picture
- 33:15Speaker 1: and there's an ORB and NICKI, Gabby's mom was like,
- 33:19Speaker 1: I don't know if anyone believes in this, but I
- 33:21Speaker 1: believe that she was there that day, and I just
- 33:27Speaker 1: I cannot even imagine. I used to be able to
- 33:30Speaker 1: watch things like this, and yes I would cry, but
- 33:36Speaker 1: watching it now is someone who has a child and
- 33:39Speaker 1: I and just the thought of, like if my child
- 33:43Speaker 1: were in danger. She seemed to offer something like what
- 33:46Speaker 1: does one do with a child who's twenty two years old?
- 33:50Speaker 1: And she's telling you that she wants to go and
- 33:52Speaker 1: do all of these things, But there's little nuggets that
- 33:55Speaker 1: she drops where it's like, my child's unhappy, What do
- 33:58Speaker 1: you do?
- 34:00Speaker 2: What do you do? I mean, that's up for somebody
- 34:07Speaker 2: with a pH d.
- 34:08Speaker 1: I don't know. I really don't even for.
- 34:12Speaker 4: My mom and your mom she made it and dad,
- 34:16Speaker 4: they made it very easy to talk about hard things, right.
- 34:21Speaker 4: And so I feel like I as a parent, I
- 34:23Speaker 4: feel that the only thing you can do is honest
- 34:26Speaker 4: communication to where and you can't always you know, it's
- 34:29Speaker 4: up to the child to tell you if that's the case.
- 34:32Speaker 4: So really there's nothing you can do because it's it's
- 34:35Speaker 4: a personal choice for them to tell you or not.
- 34:38Speaker 2: I can do everything in the world.
- 34:39Speaker 4: I can lead the horse to water, I can't make
- 34:41Speaker 4: it drink, right, So really there is nothing.
- 34:45Speaker 2: And that's what I think parenting is.
- 34:46Speaker 4: It's a lot of unknown and it's a lot of
- 34:50Speaker 4: I want to say, mental anxiety on things that will
- 34:54Speaker 4: never happen.
- 34:56Speaker 1: But the fact that they could is like, is what?
- 35:00Speaker 4: And the percentage of what you think about happening is like.
- 35:03Speaker 2: Fucking point oh one percent? Right, But that's still enough
- 35:07Speaker 2: to make me fucking go nuts.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Right, I need it to be a solid one hundred percent.
- 35:10Speaker 1: It will never happen.
- 35:11Speaker 2: So I don't think there's anything you can do.
- 35:14Speaker 4: Be there for your child, open and honest conversations and
- 35:17Speaker 4: just hope to God that they feel comfortable telling you
- 35:22Speaker 4: everything and more.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Do you want to know how they found her body?
- 35:27Speaker 2: No? Please?
- 35:29Speaker 1: So it's actually pretty incredible. So Gabby's mom can't get
- 35:33Speaker 1: a hold of anybody. She texts Brian's parents. They don't respond.
- 35:39Speaker 1: She texts them again. It goes through his green which
- 35:41Speaker 1: means she was either blocked or they turned the phone off.
- 35:44Speaker 1: So she says, fuck it, I'm going on social media.
- 35:47Speaker 1: She starts posting Where's Gabby, sends it to all of
- 35:49Speaker 1: her friends. Her friends send it to everybody, so it
- 35:51Speaker 1: becomes this nationwide where is my daughter? They give a
- 35:57Speaker 1: timeline the police and post it and they say this
- 36:00Speaker 1: is where she was last seen. This is you know,
- 36:02Speaker 1: the park that they were in, and there was this
- 36:05Speaker 1: other Van Lifer couple. Van Life just means that they
- 36:09Speaker 1: live in a van and they travel and they have
- 36:10Speaker 1: the best time. Very cute couple. And they look at
- 36:14Speaker 1: the timeline. They're like, damn, we just missed them. Like
- 36:17Speaker 1: we were there, but we were only there from the
- 36:19Speaker 1: twenty seventh to whenever they were there, so we just
- 36:22Speaker 1: missed them. Something pops up that says, y'all, the timeline
- 36:25Speaker 1: this like van lifeer group chat. The timeline has changed.
- 36:31Speaker 1: This woman looks at it and goes, holy shit, the
- 36:35Speaker 1: timeline matches up with when we were there. She goes
- 36:38Speaker 1: back to review all of her footage and sure enough,
- 36:42Speaker 1: she passes the fucking van, sends it into police. They
- 36:48Speaker 1: match up how the trees are where the van was positioned,
- 36:50Speaker 1: and there was her body, uh and it looks staged
- 36:54Speaker 1: in the fetal position, boots next to her, her hood
- 36:59Speaker 1: was over her head. Autopsy came back that she had
- 37:01Speaker 1: blunt force trauma and strangulation by hands. And then Brian
- 37:10Speaker 1: goes missing. So his family calls the police saying, our
- 37:13Speaker 1: son is missing. They see his car at a well
- 37:17Speaker 1: known trail and campsite that he liked to go to.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Now that they found Gabby's body, instead of Brian being
- 37:23Speaker 1: a missings person. He's like a fugitive most wanted. They
- 37:27Speaker 1: go out to search for him. They find his remains
- 37:30Speaker 1: because he had been out there for over thirty days,
- 37:33Speaker 1: gunshot to the head. He leaves a fucking note that
- 37:37Speaker 1: says that Gabby was walking across the river. He heard
- 37:41Speaker 1: a splash. It was very dark. She hit her head.
- 37:44Speaker 1: She was screaming, so he gave he strangled her and
- 37:47Speaker 1: gave her a mercy kill. It just simply isn't true.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Well no, because there was no blunt force trauma to
- 37:54Speaker 2: her head. Right.
- 37:55Speaker 1: There was blunt force trauma, but it wasn't.
- 37:57Speaker 2: The way that a rock would leave it.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Right, Like, just the way the autopsy report came back,
- 38:02Speaker 1: it was.
- 38:02Speaker 2: Like this was like a bat or something from.
- 38:05Speaker 1: This was a homicide. This wasn't like someone slipped and fell.
- 38:09Speaker 1: And I just couldn't believe that at the very end
- 38:11Speaker 1: of it all, you're going to write a note.
- 38:13Speaker 2: You're gonna lie to everyone full of bullshit.
- 38:15Speaker 4: At least go out with the fucking at least be
- 38:17Speaker 4: a man and just say you did what you did
- 38:20Speaker 4: and you took your own life.
- 38:22Speaker 2: Because now you're just leaving questions for the family.
- 38:24Speaker 1: It's devastating, and there's this woman.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Uh did the parents get anything? What do you mean
- 38:30Speaker 2: the laundry his mom and dad should get I don't know.
- 38:34Speaker 1: They didn't catch up on they didn't.
- 38:37Speaker 2: Put that out. I think his parents should be getting time.
- 38:40Speaker 1: Well, who knows. We could google it right now and
- 38:42Speaker 1: they could be, you know, under some sort of investigation.
- 38:45Speaker 1: I mean, it was wild to see the text messages
- 38:49Speaker 1: that were not only.
- 38:50Speaker 4: That, but for her to write, if you kill somebody,
- 38:52Speaker 4: I'll bring you shovels.
- 38:53Speaker 2: That right there is.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Just like keep in mind, they look at the call log.
- 38:59Speaker 1: Brian a call multiple one of which was almost an hour.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Then they look at the parents call log, and after
- 39:06Speaker 1: that call, a call is made to Wyoming to a
- 39:14Speaker 1: criminal defense attorney, and he's retained for twenty five thousand dollars.
- 39:20Speaker 1: I'm like, but here's what's wild. Is yet they sit
- 39:23Speaker 1: there and it's like, yeah, suspicious. I'm sorry, but that's
- 39:26Speaker 1: more than suspicious.
- 39:27Speaker 2: This is hi.
- 39:28Speaker 1: This person murdered somebody and he's retaining counsel. This isn't
- 39:31Speaker 1: like but we don't know.
- 39:33Speaker 2: We know.
- 39:34Speaker 1: This is called common sense.
- 39:35Speaker 2: Your actions have told me that you're guilty.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Yes, it's just wild to me, just to see the
- 39:45Speaker 1: justice system and how slow it is. But one of
- 39:47Speaker 1: the FBI agents, she was fucking amazing on it. From Florida,
- 39:53Speaker 1: tattoos everywhere, short hair, she was actually very hot. I
- 39:57Speaker 1: was into her and she started crying at the end
- 40:00Speaker 1: of it, and she said, my job matters. These victims'
- 40:06Speaker 1: lives matter. And although Gabby's story is very unique, she said,
- 40:13Speaker 1: there are tens of thousands of missing women who are black, brown,
- 40:21Speaker 1: and indigenous who have never made it on the news,
- 40:25Speaker 1: who have never been found, never been talked about. And
- 40:29Speaker 1: at the beginning, Gabby's dad said, you know, at first,
- 40:33Speaker 1: I was a little put off when they said that
- 40:36Speaker 1: all of these women of color are missing and no
- 40:39Speaker 1: one cares. And suddenly this white woman goes missing and
- 40:41Speaker 1: rallies the whole country. He goes, I was taken aback.
- 40:45Speaker 1: I was offended, and he goes, and then I had
- 40:47Speaker 1: to remove myself from it and think, what if I
- 40:51Speaker 1: were on the other side of my child not being found,
- 40:55Speaker 1: but these people are rallying, and he goes, like I
- 40:57Speaker 1: did start understanding and thought I need to make it difference.
- 41:00Speaker 1: So that happened at the very end. Let's talk about
- 41:04Speaker 1: the Don't Lie documentary. Wow, I the Potito case is crazy, though.
- 41:08Speaker 2: No, the Potito case is crazy. The uh, the Brian.
- 41:12Speaker 1: Johnson thing, isn't it wild?
- 41:14Speaker 2: It's wild. I mean he's doing what rats are doing.
- 41:17Speaker 1: Okay, So if you guys don't know, there's a Netflix
- 41:19Speaker 1: documentary called Don't Die, and it's this guy, Brian Johnson.
- 41:23Speaker 1: He's super fucking rep like he's wealthy. He's not fucking rich.
- 41:27Speaker 4: He's like he sold his company, like he owned Venmo
- 41:31Speaker 4: and one other thing, and he's so pal yeah PayPal
- 41:33Speaker 4: for like four hundred millions.
- 41:34Speaker 2: Yeah, he's got money for sure.
- 41:37Speaker 1: So and he's spending it on blueprint. Yeah, he's basically
- 41:41Speaker 1: like reversing his body clock to be at eighteen again
- 41:45Speaker 1: and like defy defying aging.
- 41:48Speaker 4: Yeah, Benjamin Button defy agging. But I mean all it
- 41:56Speaker 4: is is like they're putting new chromosomes and things like that.
- 41:59Speaker 1: And you know, he injects plasma he gets from doing
- 42:03Speaker 1: plasma exchange with his son.
- 42:05Speaker 4: But I watched it. It isn't that weird. He his
- 42:09Speaker 4: son gave him some, he gave his dad some. So
- 42:12Speaker 4: it's like, uh, okay, it's just a thing like that.
- 42:15Speaker 4: So I didn't think it was that weird. It was
- 42:16Speaker 4: just like giving my dad plasma, my dad's giving his
- 42:18Speaker 4: dad plasma, or just giving plasma to each.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Other, just defying aging by giving Hella plasma. Can I
- 42:24Speaker 1: tell you something about Brian Johnson really quickly? So I'm
- 42:27Speaker 1: at Candyland. This is probably a year ago, and there's
- 42:32Speaker 1: this woman who knows me from the show, and she
- 42:38Speaker 1: tells me she works for somebody and says, you know,
- 42:43Speaker 1: he's very, very wealthy. She doesn't tell me his name.
- 42:47Speaker 1: She just tells me why he's wealthy. So of course
- 42:49Speaker 1: I google. She wanted to set me up with him.
- 42:53Speaker 2: No, no, shit, he's a freak. She's such a normal.
- 42:58Speaker 1: Guys like I think you would really like him. She
- 43:00Speaker 1: did not tell me. She goes, if you're interested, just
- 43:04Speaker 1: let me know and I can talk to him and
- 43:05Speaker 1: we can make happen. Did not give me a name.
- 43:07Speaker 1: I want to make that very clear. If this woman
- 43:09Speaker 1: still works for him, I don't want her to get
- 43:10Speaker 1: fired because I did the digging on my own. Yes,
- 43:14Speaker 1: she gave me very little. This was the only time
- 43:16Speaker 1: that I've ever dug Okay.
- 43:18Speaker 2: Well, yeah, how could you not? It's like, who is
- 43:20Speaker 2: this man.
- 43:20Speaker 1: Who is this guy?
- 43:21Speaker 4: Yeah, he's wealthy. He wants to go out. I won't
- 43:23Speaker 4: give you a name. It's like, all right, where's walday?
- 43:26Speaker 1: I think you guys would be really great for each other.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Google that shit thought. Nrks kirt.
- 43:30Speaker 4: His life is depressing. He doesn't even go out in sunlight. Yeah,
- 43:35Speaker 4: if it's to a certain uv. He sleeps with like
- 43:38Speaker 4: he does unreal shit. He takes like fifty six like
- 43:41Speaker 4: pills a day.
- 43:42Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's wild. If you're not going to enjoy
- 43:44Speaker 1: your life, why would you want to live longer?
- 43:46Speaker 2: Exactly? And that's the thing.
- 43:47Speaker 4: He's like, you know, I just want to be able
- 43:48Speaker 4: to have, you know, more time with my son and
- 43:52Speaker 4: generations and generations.
- 43:53Speaker 1: And it's like, wait, you're gonna bring him into your
- 43:55Speaker 1: dark room? There it is you're talking about.
- 43:58Speaker 4: I have a feeling your son doesn't care to play
- 44:00Speaker 4: ping pong all that much.
- 44:01Speaker 2: It's the only thing they did together and work out.
- 44:03Speaker 4: It's like, at some point, your son is gonna go
- 44:05Speaker 4: I need a goddamn life.
- 44:07Speaker 1: Yeah, for real.
- 44:07Speaker 2: It's what you don't understand. Guyoh, is you had one? Yeah?
- 44:11Speaker 1: Have you ever heard the term live fast die?
- 44:14Speaker 2: Young?
- 44:14Speaker 1: Bad girls do it. Well, we all just want to
- 44:19Speaker 1: enjoy our life. The thought of living forever exhausts me.
- 44:23Speaker 1: I'm thirty four and already lattired as fuck.
- 44:26Speaker 2: That's how I feel.
- 44:27Speaker 4: And what everything he's doing for every twelve months he's
- 44:31Speaker 4: in the aging.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Eight eight months not even worth it?
- 44:34Speaker 2: Well, I mean attack on the years. But here's what
- 44:37Speaker 2: I want to know. He's a guinea pig.
- 44:39Speaker 4: I want to know the brain side of things, because
- 44:43Speaker 4: he's doing a lot of things. Yes, your body may
- 44:46Speaker 4: be able to go forever, your mind now, so he's
- 44:51Speaker 4: just gonna be a walking idiot.
- 44:54Speaker 1: No, he's gonna look it's really really good, but he's gonna.
- 44:57Speaker 4: I like, no, he's not gonna be alive like that
- 45:00Speaker 4: mentally totally. Well, then your body shuts down because your
- 45:03Speaker 4: mind's telling your body. So if your mind just shuts
- 45:05Speaker 4: down everything you.
- 45:06Speaker 1: Know, it seems like he's bored. He could be bored.
- 45:10Speaker 2: Well, yeah, he'll live a.
- 45:11Speaker 4: Real life, buddy, and you won't be bed at eight
- 45:14Speaker 4: thirty up at four thirty.
- 45:16Speaker 2: He eats a pound of vegetables.
- 45:17Speaker 1: A pound.
- 45:18Speaker 2: It's the same thing every day. Him and his son
- 45:21Speaker 2: eat the same exact Oh.
- 45:23Speaker 1: No, don't project it. Onto your son. Don't project your
- 45:27Speaker 1: weirdness onto your son.
- 45:28Speaker 2: I mean, I mean, I'm glad that somebody is being
- 45:30Speaker 2: the guinea pig.
- 45:31Speaker 4: There's also somebody I don't remember his name, but he
- 45:34Speaker 4: spent thirty thousand dollars a year and he's at the
- 45:37Speaker 4: exact same levels as this guy spending two all right,
- 45:41Speaker 4: but I think the two million is like your hair
- 45:43Speaker 4: growth that has like the red light.
- 45:46Speaker 2: His he just does a lot of bullshit.
- 45:48Speaker 1: I feel like, I think he should just take neutrafilt
- 45:52Speaker 1: know about it? How could you not? Everyone knows about it.
- 45:55Speaker 1: Nobody lives in the dark.
- 45:57Speaker 2: Good there it is speaking.
- 45:59Speaker 1: Of children and rejecting onto them. Mel Robins, who I guess,
- 46:02Speaker 1: is like a super controversial person. She has the Mel
- 46:05Speaker 1: Robins podcast, and she was talking about silent treatment and
- 46:11Speaker 1: how it's super toxic and manipulative behavior. A lot of
- 46:15Speaker 1: people were saying, but sometimes you need to calm down
- 46:22Speaker 1: before you communicate, so you have to go silent.
- 46:24Speaker 2: But guess what you have to do before you calm
- 46:26Speaker 2: down communicate? That go Everything is communication.
- 46:30Speaker 4: A silent treatment only works if you go I can't
- 46:32Speaker 4: talk right now.
- 46:33Speaker 2: I'm giving you a silent treatment. I'll talk to you
- 46:35Speaker 2: when I'm ready. Yeah, boom, he knows, she knows, whatever
- 46:38Speaker 2: the case may be.
- 46:40Speaker 4: But you now know because you're not going to go
- 46:43Speaker 4: up and ask a stupid question and then get the
- 46:45Speaker 4: silent treatment.
- 46:46Speaker 1: No, the silent treatment actually really really bothers me. I
- 46:50Speaker 1: find it to be and for someone like me, I
- 46:54Speaker 1: tap into aggression.
- 46:56Speaker 2: Oh see, do you want to know when I get
- 46:58Speaker 2: the silent treatment? What cool? Need you?
- 47:01Speaker 4: What do you mean like, if somebody's giving me the
- 47:03Speaker 4: silent treatment, you don't get to give me a silent treatment?
- 47:06Speaker 2: You're gone to me now?
- 47:08Speaker 1: Oh okay, ye, lucky for you. I find it to
- 47:11Speaker 1: be a toxic trait.
- 47:13Speaker 4: Well, it's very and that's why I remove myself from toxicity.
- 47:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I think because I'm not even say, like, what
- 47:21Speaker 1: did I do?
- 47:21Speaker 4: I'm not gonna fucking go through mental gymnastics to think
- 47:25Speaker 4: what did I do for them to be upset?
- 47:28Speaker 2: I don't give a fuck.
- 47:31Speaker 1: You can acknowledge that it is. Well, I find it to
- 47:35Speaker 1: be super damaging when you do that with your children. Yeah,
- 47:40Speaker 1: I think that communication and I think maybe she what
- 47:44Speaker 1: she was trying to say is it's okay to not
- 47:49Speaker 1: want to talk but you have to communicate that before
- 47:53Speaker 1: you just stop answering. Yeah, I can't imagine being with
- 47:57Speaker 1: someone or parenting in the way where you say like
- 48:02Speaker 1: you're in an argument and then you just shut down
- 48:04Speaker 1: and no one can get through to you. When someone
- 48:07Speaker 1: does that to me, I immediately go into name calling, doing
- 48:12Speaker 1: anything to get a rise out of you. So now
- 48:14Speaker 1: your toxic trait has brought out my toxic trait when
- 48:18Speaker 1: this could have been squashed by saying I need a
- 48:22Speaker 1: minute to not talk to you. And I just feel
- 48:26Speaker 1: that to say for anyone to say like that silent
- 48:30Speaker 1: treatment is a good move. Anyone you talk to who
- 48:35Speaker 1: has half a brain cell. And also people like doctors
- 48:38Speaker 1: tell you communication is everything.
- 48:41Speaker 2: Communication is key, absolutely.
- 48:45Speaker 1: Lawnmower parenting Easton is basically so there's like there's hover parents,
- 48:51Speaker 1: who I know a few of those super fucking annoying.
- 48:54Speaker 1: By the way, like the kid falls and it's like,
- 48:56Speaker 1: oh my god, oh my god, they're choking. You know,
- 49:00Speaker 1: they like put a finger in their mouth and gag
- 49:02Speaker 1: and it's like, oh my god, we have to put
- 49:04Speaker 1: mittens on her at all times.
- 49:05Speaker 2: No, it's like, let her do it a couple more
- 49:07Speaker 2: times and she's quit doing it.
- 49:08Speaker 1: Well. By the way, they need to know how to gag.
- 49:10Speaker 1: That's how they don't choke.
- 49:11Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I think not.
- 49:13Speaker 1: A fan of putting giant like stick not sticks, but like.
- 49:17Speaker 2: There suckers that if fall can like jam back in.
- 49:20Speaker 1: No, no, no, there's there's this parenting book where you
- 49:24Speaker 1: basically give your child like an asparagus or like a
- 49:28Speaker 1: big carrot, and they can eat it and they learn
- 49:31Speaker 1: how to like use their gag reflexes. I'm not a
- 49:35Speaker 1: huge fan of that. That I'm a little scared of.
- 49:37Speaker 1: But so so she stays jamming her fingers in her
- 49:40Speaker 1: mouth like her thumb and gets it back there and
- 49:42Speaker 1: goes and I'm like, great, okay, I like the the
- 49:46Speaker 1: finger method of gagging yourself to.
- 49:49Speaker 2: Know like that you can gag.
- 49:51Speaker 1: Yeah, a little too far back. Need to get this out.
- 49:55Speaker 1: But the helicopter parents are basically prime example. If you
- 49:59Speaker 1: remember like Felicity Huffman, Nope, she was, she's an actress
- 50:07Speaker 1: and it was her and I think Lorie Laughlin who
- 50:10Speaker 1: played the wife of Jesse on Full House the Hot One. Okay,
- 50:16Speaker 1: they paid a significant amount of money to get their
- 50:19Speaker 1: children into USC so it's basically parents who try to
- 50:24Speaker 1: make their child's life a little bit easier to kind
- 50:27Speaker 1: of catapult them ahead further than they than they would
- 50:32Speaker 1: get without your help. If that makes sense. You forget
- 50:35Speaker 1: your violin at home and you have a performance that day,
- 50:39Speaker 1: your mom runs home to get it for you and
- 50:41Speaker 1: brings it back. You have now been a part of
- 50:46Speaker 1: a lawnmower parenting moment of you not understanding consequences because
- 50:52Speaker 1: your mom just made it easier.
- 50:53Speaker 2: For you to a certain degree.
- 50:56Speaker 4: I mean, like to the violin point, if my kid
- 50:58Speaker 4: forgot it, I'd be like, fuck, I would have forgot
- 50:59Speaker 4: it kid, I'll go.
- 51:00Speaker 2: Grab it for you.
- 51:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree, but like I mean, I need other
- 51:05Speaker 1: I here's how I feel about it, because I ain't
- 51:08Speaker 1: no parent. No, I am very good and proud of you,
- 51:16Speaker 1: and I think this is the way that I would
- 51:20Speaker 1: want to do it. For Ocean example, she's only three
- 51:27Speaker 1: almost four. Let's just say she didn't clean up her
- 51:32Speaker 1: room and she doesn't want to, so I then do it.
- 51:36Speaker 1: The conversation that I will have with her is my love,
- 51:42Speaker 1: I will pick it up for you this time. If
- 51:46Speaker 1: I have to do it again, there will be a consequence.
- 51:49Speaker 1: But then I talked to mom, and Mom said, when
- 51:51Speaker 1: you and Easton were that age, I did nothing except
- 51:55Speaker 1: pick up after you guys at all times. And then
- 51:57Speaker 1: you guys hit a certain age where I just wasn't
- 51:59Speaker 1: doing it. If you wanted to live in your own filth,
- 52:01Speaker 1: you were. You were more than capable of cleaning up
- 52:03Speaker 1: on your own, hanging your clothes up, putting shit away.
- 52:07Speaker 1: And if you chose not to, well the consequences you
- 52:11Speaker 1: have to live in it. Close the freaking door. And
- 52:13Speaker 1: I ended up cleaning up my own stuff. But to
- 52:16Speaker 1: tell a parent to have their children live the hard
- 52:18Speaker 1: way to prepare them for the real world. I will
- 52:20Speaker 1: prepare my child for the real world by having conversations
- 52:24Speaker 1: with them.
- 52:25Speaker 2: Yes, so they have to.
- 52:25Speaker 1: Know that when they're with Mama, that's comfort. I will
- 52:28Speaker 1: protect the fuck out of you because this is home.
- 52:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:31Speaker 1: I don't love the idea of saying like this is
- 52:35Speaker 1: not a good way of parenting. It does them a
- 52:38Speaker 1: disservice in the end, because I truly believe it's just
- 52:42Speaker 1: you can only do so much for your children before
- 52:45Speaker 1: you just accept this is who they are, and they
- 52:49Speaker 1: came like this. Some kids just come with drives some
- 52:52Speaker 1: kids don't. Some kids come with you know, I need
- 52:55Speaker 1: to turn in my papers. I knew every time I
- 52:58Speaker 1: went to school there were papers to turn in. You
- 53:01Speaker 1: would literally have papers in your folder on the turn inside.
- 53:05Speaker 1: Dad would have this conversation with you morning up. You
- 53:07Speaker 1: would come back with a folder and the paper is
- 53:10Speaker 1: still inside. You just didn't grasp it.
- 53:14Speaker 2: No, I just didn't care.
- 53:15Speaker 1: It didn't matter. No, you would get a bad grade
- 53:18Speaker 1: and it did not matter. It didn't teach you anything.
- 53:21Speaker 1: So I come from a place of parenting where I'm like,
- 53:25Speaker 1: it's tough out there, and I need them to know
- 53:27Speaker 1: it's tough out there. And I can prepare them with
- 53:29Speaker 1: my words and I can tell them with my experience.
- 53:33Speaker 1: But I'm not going to sit here and have home
- 53:37Speaker 1: be like it is out there.
- 53:39Speaker 2: No fuck no, no.
- 53:41Speaker 1: We will lawnmower the shit out of every situation at
- 53:45Speaker 1: this house because your boss isn't going to do it
- 53:47Speaker 1: for you. There's only so much time that you're in
- 53:51Speaker 1: this house before you're in the real world, and it'll
- 53:53Speaker 1: buck you up for me. Yeah, I don't got to
- 53:55Speaker 1: do that.
- 53:55Speaker 2: We'll have those tough conversations to buck you up. Yeah,
- 53:58Speaker 2: after they're done, We're back to home.
- 54:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree with you.
- 54:03Speaker 4: It's a fair there's a happy medium on helicopter, lawnmower, whatever, mom, dad,
- 54:10Speaker 4: they want to call it. But I think there's just
- 54:12Speaker 4: a happy medium. And that's the other thing. It's all
- 54:15Speaker 4: dependent on the kid. Yeah, you know, if everybody were
- 54:18Speaker 4: to parent the same, it'd be a clusterfuck.
- 54:20Speaker 1: I'm just glad Ocean's not a pussy.
- 54:23Speaker 2: No, Ocean needs to pussy up a little bit.
- 54:25Speaker 1: She's got She fell off of this massive like swing
- 54:30Speaker 1: set yesterday. The school called me and they were like, hey,
- 54:32Speaker 1: I just want to let you know that Ocean's going
- 54:34Speaker 1: to come home with kind of a cut up lip.
- 54:36Speaker 1: It did bleed. She's fine. She didn't cry, but she
- 54:40Speaker 1: did come into the office with a bloody lip and
- 54:42Speaker 1: wanted to tell me all about how it happened. And
- 54:44Speaker 1: then told me like, you definitely need to warn my mom.
- 54:47Speaker 2: You should tell my mom.
- 54:50Speaker 1: And I asked her, I was like, did you cry?
- 54:51Speaker 1: She got this big old cut in her lip. I said,
- 54:54Speaker 1: what happened, dude, and she was like, yeah, I was
- 54:56Speaker 1: just playing. Fell didn't even cry. It's like, did it
- 55:00Speaker 1: bleed a lot? Yeah, a lot of blood and it
- 55:03Speaker 1: was actually true because when I went in to get
- 55:06Speaker 1: her from naptime, no, all the kids were like, she
- 55:10Speaker 1: was bleeding today, all of them. She was bleeding on
- 55:13Speaker 1: the playground and summer goes and she didn't even cry.
- 55:19Speaker 4: She's a story right now, all these Yeah, there was
- 55:22Speaker 4: a girl who was bleeding in my class.
- 55:25Speaker 1: Yeah, there was a kid that There was a kid
- 55:28Speaker 1: that kicked her chair. So she kicked his back and
- 55:31Speaker 1: then he did it again, and she said, you keep
- 55:34Speaker 1: kicking my chair. Kickers get kicked. I was like, hell yeah,
- 55:37Speaker 1: and the teacher was like, that's true. But if you're
- 55:39Speaker 1: going to keep doing it to her, she's going to
- 55:41Speaker 1: do it back. But I tell her, I'm like girl
- 55:44Speaker 1: from the very beginning, remember when she was a bier. Yes,
- 55:47Speaker 1: you bite, get bit girl. I forgot about that hard
- 55:52Speaker 1: she was you. Anyway, we're going to jump into the
- 55:55Speaker 1: bonus episode. You guys, I hope you enjoyed this episode
- 55:59Speaker 1: of the Give Them Lola podcast. I love you guys,
