Latest / Hutton & Withrow Show / Hutton & Withrow: Titans Front Office Under Fire: Jared Stillman Exposes Turmoil, NFL & SEC Week 7 Picks
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: We are out of the gates on sport and state.
- 0:02Speaker 1: Glad you're with us. It is Hutton and Withrow presented
- 0:04Speaker 1: by Hard Rock. Bet, a lot to get to today.
- 0:08Speaker 1: We have Chad Withrow coming up in hour number two.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Just around the corner in about 15, 20 minutes or so,
- 0:14Speaker 1: we have Jared Stillman. Make that about 30 minutes. Jared
- 0:18Speaker 1: Stillman will join us. And we also, from Stillman & Company,
- 0:22Speaker 1: also Todd Furman to get you ready for the weekend,
- 0:25Speaker 1: the best bets, and much more headed your way this hour.
- 0:29Speaker 1: we will have in about 15 minutes a reaction to
- 0:34Speaker 1: the Tennessee Titans, the President Burke Nihill hiring someone from
- 0:38Speaker 1: the Arizona Cardinals who is in the middle of a
- 0:40Speaker 1: lawsuit for racial discrimination allegations, a civil lawsuit. And if
- 0:47Speaker 1: you're familiar with Greg Sciano in Sciato Sunday, where he
- 0:51Speaker 1: was going to be hired by the Tennessee Volunteers, this
- 0:55Speaker 1: is the Titan Sciano moment, to say the least. with
- 0:59Speaker 1: what we just heard from Ramon Foster, who is the
- 1:02Speaker 1: analyst for Titans Radio, former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman, Tennessee volunteer,
- 1:08Speaker 1: giving his opinion on someone that's involved in a racial
- 1:12Speaker 1: discrimination lawsuit. We'll let you hear that coming up very,
- 1:15Speaker 1: very soon. First, though, it is time for one big
- 1:18Speaker 1: thing on every NFL game. And we start with Thursday
- 1:21Speaker 1: night football. Tonight, Seahawks at Broncos. Seahawks minus two and
- 1:26Speaker 1: a half. over under a 40.5 against Denver. And Denver's
- 1:32Speaker 1: the home team here. The right team's favored. But 86%
- 1:37Speaker 1: of the money line is on Denver at Hard Rock Bet.
- 1:42Speaker 1: You go to hardrock.bet.com, $ 5, 500 in bonus bets. Someone put $ 130, 000. JT,
- 1:44Speaker 1: $ 130, 000 on Denver tonight. You're the Broncos fan. What do
- 1:48Speaker 1: you think?
- 1:57Speaker 2: But there's not a whole lot about Denver that excites me.
- 2:02Speaker 2: I feel like they always show up for the games
- 2:03Speaker 2: that they maybe shouldn't be in, but also fall flat
- 2:07Speaker 2: on their face in some of those games that they
- 2:10Speaker 2: should be in. I don't feel confident with placing $ 10
- 2:14Speaker 2: at Hard Rock, Matt, but.
- 2:14Speaker 1: $ 130, 000. $ 130, 000. I hope that guy wins just.
- 2:16Speaker 3: For me tonight.
- 2:16Speaker 1: That would win you $ 305, 000. Yeah. Yeah, so we'll think
- 2:27Speaker 1: about it. We must know something we don't. Yeah, that's
- 2:29Speaker 1: a hard rock bet. Denver, the only winning team in
- 2:32Speaker 1: the NFL to trail in the fourth quarter in every
- 2:35Speaker 1: single game this season. And Bo Nix, he's facing a
- 2:39Speaker 1: nightmare schematic matchup. Under pressure, he ranks 30th in completion percentage.
- 2:44Speaker 1: And now he faces Seattle, second highest pressure rate in
- 2:48Speaker 1: the National Football League. We head to Sunday night football.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Cowboys at Green Bay. Packers... One and a half is
- 2:56Speaker 1: the line here. I mean, back and forth game expected
- 2:59Speaker 1: over under 53. 96% of the total handle is on
- 3:04Speaker 1: the over for this game at 53 points. Dallas defense
- 3:08Speaker 1: has yet to have an interception all season. They have
- 3:10Speaker 1: only five sacks in five weeks. The Packers, they're going
- 3:14Speaker 1: to want to use Marshawn Lloyd often. The Cowboys, they
- 3:17Speaker 1: surrender a league-worst 168 rushing yards per game. We go
- 3:22Speaker 1: to Monday night. Commanders and Niners. Niners by 7.5 at 50.
- 3:28Speaker 1: 50.5 is now on the total points. Unbeaten San Francisco.
- 3:33Speaker 1: They're going to be without Jerry Greenlaw. He's out with
- 3:37Speaker 1: a one-game suspension. And Devo Samuel with a hamstring injury.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Washington's coming off that wild 27-27 tie after coaching malpractice.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Ridiculous with how that game ended last week. The hard
- 3:52Speaker 1: rock bet action here. The money line handle split dead
- 3:55Speaker 1: even 50-50 as the larger wagers are taking a shot
- 3:59Speaker 1: on Washington at plus 325. Sunday, 425. Bills, Raiders. The
- 4:06Speaker 1: Raiders are catching all these teams. Big teams coming off
- 4:10Speaker 1: these big wins. And they haven't performed well recently. They're 3-2.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Bills favored by 5 on the road in Las Vegas.
- 4:16Speaker 1: over under 53.5. That's a familiar number this week. And 90%
- 4:21Speaker 1: of the total, hammering the over at 53. Josh Allen's
- 4:26Speaker 1: anytime touchdown prop is outdrawing every single wide receiver and
- 4:29Speaker 1: tight end on either roster for the prop for you.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Nine total turnovers, though, for Buffalo over their last three games,
- 4:39Speaker 1: and that feeds directly into the strength of the Raiders' defense,
- 4:42Speaker 1: first in the NFL with 10 takeaways. We head down
- 4:47Speaker 1: on the schedule. Chargers at Chiefs. Disappointment of the season.
- 4:51Speaker 1: The Chargers. Much higher expectations than the Titans and Dolphins,
- 4:55Speaker 1: who are both expected to lose. The Chargers, they're 0-5.
- 4:59Speaker 1: And Kansas City favored by 8. Justin Herbert sacked 17
- 5:03Speaker 1: times in five games. Kenneth Walker III. Six total touchdowns
- 5:08Speaker 1: in four games. His anytime touchdown prop at Hard Rock,
- 5:12Speaker 1: drawing more than four times the bets against of any
- 5:16Speaker 1: other prop in this game. Jump on board. Roll with
- 5:19Speaker 1: us on that one. We should make that my lock.
- 5:22Speaker 1: I should have thought about that. It's coming up later. Sunday, 4-0-5. Cardinals, Rams,
- 5:27Speaker 1: Cardinals at 1-4. They beat the Chargers in Week 1.
- 5:31Speaker 1: That looked like a good win. Turns out, not so good.
- 5:35Speaker 1: The Rams are 2-3. The Rams, though, are still a
- 5:38Speaker 1: heavy favorite to win the Super Bowl. And, well... Check
- 5:43Speaker 1: this out. We've got Arizona entering a franchise record nine-game
- 5:46Speaker 1: home losing streak. They've just set that mark. Jacoby Brissett,
- 5:50Speaker 1: he's going to remain the starter. And 73% is backing Arizona.
- 5:56Speaker 1: And when that happened, oddsmakers, they didn't drop it down.
- 5:59Speaker 1: They raised it even higher. They pushed L.A. from 12.5
- 6:02Speaker 1: to 13.5. And, well, why? Because Sean McVay, 16-3. I
- 6:12Speaker 1: guess the Cardinals over his tenure there and the, over
- 6:16Speaker 1: that span that they've outscored Arizona by us by an
- 6:19Speaker 1: average of 12. So you've got that at 13 and
- 6:21Speaker 1: a half Puka to Kua returns. So get ready for
- 6:24Speaker 1: some offense. Jeremiah love questionable. Um, he's got the hamstring injury,
- 6:30Speaker 1: I believe ankle and Brissette. Again, he remains the quarterback.
- 6:34Speaker 1: They they're raising that they're, they're actually fading the public.
- 6:38Speaker 1: I've I'm going to bet the Cardinals. If, um, Ramsey. Guys,
- 6:47Speaker 1: let's take a break. It was perfect 10 right there. Sorry,
- 6:52Speaker 1: got sick. I'm here. It's Hunter Withrow presented by Hard
- 6:56Speaker 1: Rock Bet. Right now, $ 5. You get $ 500 up to
- 7:00Speaker 1: in the no sweat bets. It's fantastic. This is a
- 7:04Speaker 1: great deal. You do it by going to hardrock.bet.com. Hardrock.net
- 7:10Speaker 1: slash Clay. News customers, download the app. You can roll
- 7:12Speaker 1: with us. We've got our Hard Rock locks coming up
- 7:16Speaker 1: at the end of the show. And Chad and I
- 7:19Speaker 1: are bringing some winners this week. We hit that last week.
- 7:22Speaker 1: We're going to do it for back-to-back. And speaking of
- 7:25Speaker 1: Hard Rock, it's Florida's only legal sportsbook, the most trustworthy
- 7:31Speaker 1: option right now in the country. And you've got Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Michigan,
- 7:37Speaker 1: New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee, and Virginia. And it's the best
- 7:41Speaker 1: time of the year for bettors. Hard Rock bet ready
- 7:45Speaker 1: with the new features, app updates, and promos. Right now, again,
- 7:48Speaker 1: the bonus bet. Bet five, get 500 in no-sweat bets. Hardrock.bet.com.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Sign up, get all the details. Hardrock.bet.com. That's Hardrock.bet.com. So
- 8:00Speaker 1: the Tennessee Titans are a dumpster fire right now. And
- 8:08Speaker 1: it's one thing after the other. Chad and I have
- 8:11Speaker 1: been mentioning the slogan right before the season. They were saying, like,
- 8:16Speaker 1: this is our floor, and we're going to get better
- 8:17Speaker 1: every week. Salah was saying that. And it's coach speak.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I know what he means in that. But in terms
- 8:25Speaker 1: of the outlook of the team, the floor continues to
- 8:29Speaker 1: go down, tunneling. It's like the Elon tunnel here in
- 8:34Speaker 1: town that they're building to the airport or a condo
- 8:38Speaker 1: with a parking garage that goes underneath the building. It
- 8:43Speaker 1: continues to grow and grow and grow with the same
- 8:47Speaker 1: decision maker overseeing the entire building, the entire practice facility.
- 8:53Speaker 1: And it's Burke Nihill. He has recently hired a new director.
- 9:01Speaker 1: a new executive to come in and be the chief
- 9:03Speaker 1: business officer, which in essence is the guy that's heading
- 9:07Speaker 1: up all of the business for the new stadium. He's
- 9:09Speaker 1: coming from the Arizona Cardinals, and he's been a buddy
- 9:12Speaker 1: of Burke's. That's not an issue. You can be a
- 9:16Speaker 1: friend of someone and work alongside them. That happens all
- 9:20Speaker 1: the time. But outside of Burke, there's really no one
- 9:25Speaker 1: that is in charge of anything because Burke oversees everything.
- 9:30Speaker 1: And he oversaw this hire. And it just turns out
- 9:33Speaker 1: that Jeremy Walls is in the middle of a lawsuit.
- 9:39Speaker 1: And so is the owner of the Cardinals. And this
- 9:42Speaker 1: comes down to a racial discrimination lawsuit. And you know
- 9:47Speaker 1: where this is leading. They've hired this guy in the
- 9:50Speaker 1: middle of a lawsuit. Optics were already bad for the
- 9:53Speaker 1: Tennessee Titans. Perception is awful. The fan base dwindling by
- 9:58Speaker 1: the day. And... even Titans radio analyst Ramon Foster, and
- 10:04Speaker 1: I understand where he's coming from on this. This is
- 10:06Speaker 1: what the Titans are putting out based on decisions they're making.
- 10:10Speaker 1: And Ramon, who is working for the Titans, had this
- 10:13Speaker 1: to say this morning on 104.5 The Zone.
- 10:16Speaker 4: When or if he's hired? Somebody will have to answer
- 10:18Speaker 4: for this.
- 10:19Speaker 1: For.
- 10:20Speaker 4: myself, for Will to have questions surrounding this racial discrimination lawsuit,
- 10:26Speaker 4: they'll have to give that answer. And here's what I
- 10:28Speaker 4: will also say. It can't just be a softball, hey,
- 10:30Speaker 4: what are you doing? You have to give more detail
- 10:34Speaker 4: than you probably should to give this fan base an
- 10:37Speaker 4: ease about thinking they're hiring, basically the way our chat
- 10:40Speaker 4: is saying it, a racist. They'll have to clean that up.
- 10:44Speaker 4: They'll have to give details into the whys and the how.
- 10:46Speaker 4: And if he does speak, which usually these people don't speak,
- 10:50Speaker 4: but somebody will have to speak for him.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Well, no one needs to speak for Burke Nihill because
- 10:58Speaker 1: he speaks on behalf of ownership, except he's silent. It
- 11:03Speaker 1: is crickets from the decision makers, from the management, from
- 11:07Speaker 1: the leaders of the Tennessee Titans. And, well... What does
- 11:13Speaker 1: that show? It shows exactly who they are. The 0-5
- 11:18Speaker 1: Tennessee Titans with a 3-win quarterback, with a 20-win head
- 11:24Speaker 1: coach over his career, and they continue to tunnel further
- 11:28Speaker 1: and further down. More on this is coming straight ahead.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Jared Stillman is joining us from Stillman & Company, and
- 11:35Speaker 1: he broke the story about the new CBO, the Chief
- 11:39Speaker 1: Business Officer, who has... pissed off the fan base, and
- 11:43Speaker 1: is becoming the new Shiano Sunday, except it's Titans Thursday.
- 11:49Speaker 1: More coming. Jared next. It is Hutton and Withrow, sportandstate.com,
- 11:54Speaker 1: presented by Hard Rock Bet. Before we get to Jared Stillman,
- 11:59Speaker 1: Clay Travis Law. Maybe Stille wanted a lawyer up if
- 12:04Speaker 1: the Titans banned him, but he didn't because he doesn't
- 12:06Speaker 1: need his credential back. But sometimes accidents don't wait for
- 12:09Speaker 1: good timing. One bad moment, a wreck, a fall, a
- 12:12Speaker 1: doctor who wasn't paying attention, God forbid. Suddenly, you're fighting
- 12:16Speaker 1: an insurance company that does this every single day. And
- 12:19Speaker 1: that's why Clay started Clay Travis Law. He's a Vanderbilt
- 12:21Speaker 1: Law grad, and he built a firm around the idea
- 12:25Speaker 1: that people deserve someone willing to pay attention, ask the
- 12:27Speaker 1: hard questions, push back when things don't add up. Experienced
- 12:31Speaker 1: trial attorneys... who bring the fight to corporations and insurers
- 12:34Speaker 1: based in Nashville, trusted across the country. You can go
- 12:37Speaker 1: to claytravislaw.com for more info, claytravislaw.com, or the phone numbers
- 12:41Speaker 1: for Clay's companies are fantastic. 877-222-4444. 877-222-4444. That's claytravislaw.com. You
- 12:53Speaker 1: know this man. He has been banned by the Tennessee Titans,
- 12:56Speaker 1: and now he breaks Tennessee Titans news before anyone else
- 12:59Speaker 1: in the city of Nashville. Jared, thanks for the time, man.
- 13:02Speaker 1: How are things?
- 13:03Speaker 5: Good.
- 13:04Speaker 6: I actually think that that is genius, by the way,
- 13:06Speaker 6: the way Clay does that with those numbers. But it's
- 13:09Speaker 6: never dull, apparently, in Titan land, even with the team
- 13:13Speaker 6: at 0-5. So we continue on new executive hires. I
- 13:17Speaker 6: don't think I've ever talked about executive leadership that wasn't
- 13:21Speaker 6: technically football-related as much as I have over the last
- 13:24Speaker 6: two weeks of my entire life.
- 13:26Speaker 1: So it's interesting to me because– They're not speaking, the
- 13:31Speaker 1: executives and the ownership. And it's not like, okay, if
- 13:35Speaker 1: they speak, it's going to change anything. But the accountability,
- 13:42Speaker 1: that is the example of what is portrayed from the
- 13:46Speaker 1: organization from the top down. Perception is reality, and it's
- 13:51Speaker 1: definitely reality that it is a mess. You talked to
- 13:57Speaker 1: a lot of different people recently. about what Burton-Ihill's up to.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Is it a common theme? That's what I want to know.
- 14:06Speaker 1: From inside the building, what are they saying the vibe's like?
- 14:10Speaker 6: Yeah, I'd say the vibes are pretty terrible. And not
- 14:13Speaker 6: just the standard, the football team is 0-5 vibes.
- 14:16Speaker 5: Which for any organization.
- 14:19Speaker 5: Is tough to overcome or deal with.
- 14:21Speaker 6: But I think on the corporate side of the Titans,
- 14:23Speaker 6: there's a fear inside of the building that they could
- 14:26Speaker 6: be called into the office by the Grim Reaper next.
- 14:30Speaker 1: No doubt.
- 14:30Speaker 6: And I think that that does trickle over into football
- 14:33Speaker 6: to a certain extent because we've seen this when it
- 14:37Speaker 6: comes to football. John Robinson, to me, is the most
- 14:39Speaker 6: obvious example. A general manager who was extended to In
- 14:43Speaker 6: January of 2022, and at 7-5 and in first place,
- 14:47Speaker 6: John Robinson in December of 2022 was fired. So less
- 14:51Speaker 6: than a year after signing an extension while sitting in
- 14:53Speaker 6: first place, the general manager got canned. And it's not
- 14:57Speaker 6: just Robinson that that happens to. This has happened to
- 14:59Speaker 6: so many different employees over the years, whether it was
- 15:01Speaker 6: 28-year PR executive Robbie Bourne, Or even recently, Adam Neuse,
- 15:07Speaker 6: who had been with the team for a while, or
- 15:09Speaker 6: Aaron Swartz, who led their rebrand. I think the fear is,
- 15:13Speaker 6: if you currently are a Titans employee, the fear is
- 15:16Speaker 6: that any five-minute interval, it could be your five-minute interval
- 15:21Speaker 6: in this world. And it certainly is not something that
- 15:24Speaker 6: I think creates a positive culture. And it's really hard
- 15:28Speaker 6: to create a positive culture when the team is 0-5.
- 15:31Speaker 6: But the Titans are certainly doing everything in their power
- 15:33Speaker 6: to keep their building from having a positive culture.
- 15:36Speaker 1: I mean, 0-5 or 7-5. I mean, they didn't win
- 15:38Speaker 1: a game after she fired John Robinson at 7-5. And
- 15:41Speaker 1: I'll say this. It was Burt Nihill who took the
- 15:43Speaker 1: cell phone into John Robinson's office when she fired him.
- 15:47Speaker 1: It was Burt Nihill who Mike Vrabel went to and
- 15:49Speaker 1: wanted to know, am I the head coach of the
- 15:51Speaker 1: Tennessee Titans? He wanted to know. Am I fired? Am
- 15:55Speaker 1: I staying? What are we doing? who would fire Nihil?
- 15:58Speaker 1: Is Amy just going to call him or is Amy
- 16:00Speaker 1: going to trust someone to figure out, not just to
- 16:03Speaker 1: hand the phone, but to figure out what's the, what's
- 16:06Speaker 1: the next direction for the who's next in line. If
- 16:10Speaker 1: it's Burke running things, I don't think, I don't think
- 16:14Speaker 1: she knows Mike Berganzi. I don't think she knows Robert Sala.
- 16:18Speaker 1: She's not there. Um, Bryce Wasserman, maybe, but again, like that,
- 16:22Speaker 1: that's a huge, that's a huge job. Um, That's the thing.
- 16:27Speaker 1: I don't know what structure's in place to just go
- 16:30Speaker 1: in and take over what Burke has taken over. I'm
- 16:34Speaker 1: fascinated by it because I don't have a solution to
- 16:36Speaker 1: it right now based on the people that they have
- 16:39Speaker 1: in place and in charge because Burke's done all the hiring.
- 16:42Speaker 6: I think the real issue here is that Amy Adam
- 16:44Speaker 6: Strunk does whatever she can to avoid conflict. And I've
- 16:47Speaker 6: had several people tell me that Amy Adam Strunk is
- 16:50Speaker 6: not a bad person. And then Amy Adams-Strunk likes owning
- 16:52Speaker 6: a football team.
- 16:53Speaker 1: I agree with that, yeah.
- 16:54Speaker 6: But she doesn't want the day-to-day hassles of owning a
- 16:58Speaker 6: football team. And there is a certain level of responsibility
- 17:01Speaker 6: and attention that come with owning an NFL team.
- 17:03Speaker 5: There are 32 of these on the planet.
- 17:06Speaker 6: And so I think the question has to be asked,
- 17:09Speaker 6: and I think this has to be publicly. I think
- 17:11Speaker 6: the message has to get sent. Easton Freeze this morning
- 17:13Speaker 6: published his report about his Titans fan survey sentiment at AtoZSports.com.
- 17:20Speaker 6: And it's clear Titan fans are fed up with Amy Adams-Shrunk,
- 17:23Speaker 6: and they're fed up with Burke Nihill. And so the
- 17:25Speaker 6: problem for Amy Adams-Shrunk is once somebody can get through
- 17:28Speaker 6: to her that Burke Nihill is not helping her football
- 17:31Speaker 6: operation or her business operation anymore, then Amy Adams Strunk
- 17:35Speaker 6: has to do what every other controlling owner in the
- 17:38Speaker 6: NFL would have to do, and she's going to have
- 17:40Speaker 6: to make the change herself.
- 17:41Speaker 5: She's going to have to embrace the conflict.
- 17:43Speaker 6: And I understand some people don't like that, but the
- 17:45Speaker 6: reality is if you want to own an NFL team
- 17:48Speaker 6: and you want to own a successful NFL team, that's
- 17:51Speaker 6: what you have to do. So if she's not willing
- 17:53Speaker 6: to do that, then she should, like many people suggest,
- 17:55Speaker 6: sell the team. And if she's not going to do that,
- 17:58Speaker 6: then she's never going to have a good team. So
- 18:00Speaker 6: that's where we stand.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Who does she put in place, though? You know, like
- 18:04Speaker 1: who's the business of that stadium? I mean, we're going
- 18:09Speaker 1: to get to the guy that they're hiring that they
- 18:10Speaker 1: say they haven't decided on yet when we all know
- 18:12Speaker 1: they have. You're absolutely right on the report. I'm just asking, like,
- 18:17Speaker 1: where's Steve Underwood? That's who she would turn to.
- 18:20Speaker 5: Sure.
- 18:22Speaker 1: I don't know anyone else, Jared. Like, it's Burke who
- 18:24Speaker 1: has the power because he's the only one. You know,
- 18:28Speaker 1: there's really no one else. Based on where they're going,
- 18:32Speaker 1: there's a huge opening of a stadium, all these different things,
- 18:35Speaker 1: and he's the guy that's been running it, and someone
- 18:38Speaker 1: else would just come in and jump in and be
- 18:40Speaker 1: running it. It's a big decision beyond just get him
- 18:44Speaker 1: out of here, get him away from the football team.
- 18:46Speaker 1: He should already be away from the football team. It
- 18:47Speaker 1: should be Borgonzi and Salah, and Burke oversees every decision.
- 18:53Speaker 6: Well, I would say that even if it is Borgonzi
- 18:55Speaker 6: and Sala, that still has Burke's hand in on it
- 18:57Speaker 6: because Mike Borgonzi was hired by Chad Brinker, who was
- 19:01Speaker 6: hired by Burke Nihill. So, I mean, Burke is trying
- 19:04Speaker 6: to detach himself from the football team, but that's just
- 19:07Speaker 6: not reality.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Well, he hasn't done that. You're right. You're right.
- 19:10Speaker 6: No, and I think that the local media in Nashville,
- 19:13Speaker 6: you follow it very closely, Hutton. I mean, they're pointing
- 19:16Speaker 6: a finger at Burke Nihill, and they're not accepting the
- 19:19Speaker 6: Burke Nihill doesn't do football discussion. And Burke Nile is
- 19:23Speaker 6: skated by, quote unquote, not doing football unless it was
- 19:26Speaker 6: convenient for him for a long time. And I don't
- 19:28Speaker 6: think they're putting up with it anymore. I think when
- 19:31Speaker 6: it comes to Amy Adams Strunk, the convenient name would
- 19:33Speaker 6: be Steve Underwood, who is a president of the organization
- 19:36Speaker 6: for years and years, dating back to Bud Adams, Amy
- 19:39Speaker 6: Adams Strunk's father's tenure as owner. But at some point,
- 19:44Speaker 6: doesn't there have to be for Amy Adams Strunk an
- 19:47Speaker 6: ability to find somebody to run the team? Again, I
- 19:51Speaker 6: understand she doesn't necessarily want to act as if she
- 19:55Speaker 6: owns a football team, but that doesn't change the reality
- 19:57Speaker 6: that she does own a football team.
- 20:01Speaker 1: But Jared, the thing is, the difference between her and
- 20:04Speaker 1: Burke is she actually has shown that she can have
- 20:07Speaker 1: success as an owner. Since Burke's been here, they've gone downhill,
- 20:11Speaker 1: and the bottom continues to bottom out. The bottom floor
- 20:15Speaker 1: is actually, there's a few garages underneath this building that
- 20:19Speaker 1: they've built. We've seen her build it to an AFC
- 20:22Speaker 1: Championship run, and she did that through Steve Underwood. At
- 20:25Speaker 1: least she knew what she didn't know. What she didn't
- 20:28Speaker 1: know was, where should I turn? If she turned to
- 20:30Speaker 1: someone she trusted, she's just trusting the wrong person right now.
- 20:35Speaker 1: I like the fact that that she would do that. Because,
- 20:38Speaker 1: I mean, look, I was in a Titans radio interview
- 20:42Speaker 1: for the play-by-play job, and there was no one from
- 20:46Speaker 1: Titans radio on the interview process. That's not how it
- 20:51Speaker 1: should be, I wouldn't think. I was surprised by that.
- 20:55Speaker 1: I did an interview with Burke. It was fine. I
- 20:58Speaker 1: enjoyed it, but it wasn't about the position. That's the problem.
- 21:02Speaker 1: It Amy at least did that when she found John Robinson.
- 21:05Speaker 1: I do find that to be a positive in her
- 21:08Speaker 1: favor that she should get back to.
- 21:11Speaker 6: Yeah, I think that, again, Amy either has to accept
- 21:14Speaker 6: the fact that she does own an NFL team or
- 21:17Speaker 6: she needs to sell the NFL team. I think at
- 21:20Speaker 6: this point, the idea of Amy not having some sort
- 21:22Speaker 6: of responsibility in running the team and running it the
- 21:25Speaker 6: right way is a disservice to her fan base, which
- 21:28Speaker 6: is paying for a $ 2 billion stadium that she's moving into.
- 21:33Speaker 6: And I understand the stadium is already built, and I
- 21:35Speaker 6: understand that the bonds are going to get paid, and
- 21:38Speaker 6: I get all that. But at the end of the day,
- 21:40Speaker 6: Amy has said, Burke Nihill has said, that this is
- 21:43Speaker 6: the fans' team. And if this really is the fans' team,
- 21:47Speaker 6: then Amy Adam Strunk does owe it to the fans
- 21:50Speaker 6: to try to get it right. I can't tell you
- 21:52Speaker 6: that Amy Adam Strunk is going to get it right
- 21:55Speaker 6: or that she owes it to the fans to get
- 21:57Speaker 6: it right because getting it right is not a choice.
- 22:00Speaker 6: It is an outcome. We hope that it gets right.
- 22:04Speaker 6: But by doing nothing and by saying nothing... She is
- 22:08Speaker 6: in dereliction of her duties as a controlling owner of
- 22:12Speaker 6: an NFL team that once again is getting a $ 2
- 22:14Speaker 6: billion stadium. And so for Amy Adams Strunk, whether that
- 22:18Speaker 6: is approaching the league and asking for help in finding
- 22:21Speaker 6: a team president, whether that is promoting somebody that she
- 22:24Speaker 6: trusts within who maybe doesn't have traditionally... a team president's resume,
- 22:30Speaker 6: whatever it may be, she's got to try something new.
- 22:34Speaker 6: The idea of going back to the ranch in Texas
- 22:36Speaker 6: and letting Burke Nihill fire the next person and the
- 22:40Speaker 6: next set of executives and then hiring the next executive
- 22:44Speaker 6: who is facing pending legal claims. That's got to go.
- 22:52Speaker 6: It cannot continue to be the same. And if it is,
- 22:56Speaker 6: I think she's already doing irreparable harm to her fan base.
- 23:01Speaker 6: the already small size of it. But if Amy Adam
- 23:04Speaker 6: Strunk does nothing and continues to trust in Bert Nihill,
- 23:07Speaker 6: she really is going to lose a large portion of
- 23:09Speaker 6: her fan base.
- 23:09Speaker 5: And that's not going to put her where she wants
- 23:11Speaker 5: to be.
- 23:12Speaker 1: That memo that was out from last week said they
- 23:16Speaker 1: wanted to double their fan base. That would mean just
- 23:18Speaker 1: get your other fans back from the Mid-South is what
- 23:20Speaker 1: I would, what's what I referred to. The focus on
- 23:26Speaker 1: the fan base has long been outside of this. Like,
- 23:30Speaker 1: The NFL owners, by the way, to me it's not
- 23:33Speaker 1: about her speaking. It's about the organization speaking. There's not
- 23:38Speaker 1: many NFL owners who speak, but the organization speaks on
- 23:43Speaker 1: behalf of the owner. And that's not happening here. He
- 23:45Speaker 1: took his own name off the website. That's beyond, I
- 23:49Speaker 1: don't understand it. I don't understand the move with the
- 23:52Speaker 1: executive that I'm going to ask you about in a second,
- 23:54Speaker 1: with the legal background that comes into this. Everything is
- 23:58Speaker 1: just so nonsensical. And if it's about selling the team,
- 24:03Speaker 1: I propose sell a portion of the team, be the
- 24:06Speaker 1: controlling owner, but bring someone in like a Brady-esque move
- 24:11Speaker 1: in Vegas where you have a direct point person that
- 24:15Speaker 1: is in charge of all football decisions. And we know
- 24:20Speaker 1: it because they're owners. They just don't have a position.
- 24:24Speaker 1: They own the right to have the position. I think
- 24:27Speaker 1: that's the structure. She can stay in Texas because you
- 24:30Speaker 1: have someone planted roots in the building, in Nashville, wherever,
- 24:34Speaker 1: and we know exactly the direction and the focus. The
- 24:39Speaker 1: focus right now is not on football. It's about putting
- 24:43Speaker 1: Taylor Swift in that dome. That's where they've lost focus.
- 24:46Speaker 1: It's more about a Google-oriented plan than it is about
- 24:50Speaker 1: the structure of an organization that is focused on a
- 24:53Speaker 1: Super Bowl. They've lost The last time that they had
- 24:56Speaker 1: a move with Callahan, Brinker didn't mention the word championship.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Every time Amy has had a statement, she's mentioned the
- 25:05Speaker 1: word championship. They're not going to win a championship with
- 25:08Speaker 1: Burt Nihill doing this because they don't talk about it.
- 25:12Speaker 6: Yeah, I think that what you're talking about, though, regardless
- 25:16Speaker 6: is some sort of action that she's not doing now.
- 25:19Speaker 6: We're talking about, okay, sell part of the team to
- 25:22Speaker 6: Nick Saban, let Nick Saban run the team.
- 25:24Speaker 5: I'm for that. But that requires an action on her part.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Sure, yes.
- 25:29Speaker 5: I mean, even if.
- 25:31Speaker 6: It were to be installing her cousin, or I guess
- 25:34Speaker 6: her nephew, Kenneth Adams, into the position of team president.
- 25:39Speaker 1: I would be for that.
- 25:39Speaker 5: I would be too.
- 25:41Speaker 6: If it's as simple as putting Kenneth Adams, your own blood,
- 25:44Speaker 6: somebody that owns a part of the team, that has
- 25:46Speaker 6: skin in the game just like you do, who's local
- 25:50Speaker 6: here in Nashville, who has experience with the ball club,
- 25:54Speaker 6: if that is the path, that's an action. I'm not
- 25:58Speaker 6: telling you that she needs to make the correct action
- 26:00Speaker 6: because nobody truly knows what the.
- 26:03Speaker 5: Correct action is.
- 26:04Speaker 6: I had a talk with an athletic director about this
- 26:07Speaker 6: when it came to hiring a football coach. And I said,
- 26:10Speaker 6: you're never going to be able to know every football
- 26:14Speaker 6: coach in the country.
- 26:15Speaker 5: It is impossible to.
- 26:17Speaker 6: Know each offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator.
- 26:20Speaker 5: And head coach.
- 26:21Speaker 6: And it's impossible to know how the guy at Western
- 26:25Speaker 6: Lafayette State would do it. He was the head coach
- 26:28Speaker 6: at Ohio State. It's just impossible to know if you
- 26:31Speaker 6: don't know those people. So you build a network of
- 26:34Speaker 6: people over time, and you usually do pick from your network,
- 26:38Speaker 6: or your network sets it up for you so that
- 26:41Speaker 6: you can find somebody else. At some point, Amy's got
- 26:46Speaker 6: to use a network that she has, and she has
- 26:48Speaker 6: several networks. She owns an NFL team, so there are
- 26:51Speaker 6: tons of people that she knows that can connect her with.
- 26:54Speaker 6: But again, this requires action. She has to do something.
- 26:59Speaker 6: something she doesn't have to fire everybody she doesn't she
- 27:05Speaker 6: just has to do something and i guess my biggest
- 27:10Speaker 6: fear as a titan fan by the way is that
- 27:13Speaker 6: she is going to do nothing i feel like the
- 27:16Speaker 6: backlash is so strong right now with you know really
- 27:20Speaker 6: led by the oh and five play coupled with another
- 27:24Speaker 6: reorganization and the media that I think has been, and
- 27:28Speaker 6: I'll just speak for myself, but I feel like a
- 27:31Speaker 6: lot of other people are acting similar. I feel like
- 27:33Speaker 6: a lot of us in the media feel like they've
- 27:34Speaker 6: been lied to by Burke Nihill over the years.
- 27:36Speaker 5: And now it's all coming out.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Well, here's the point of it. You're, you're going deeper
- 27:42Speaker 1: with it because you pulled your credential. Burke pulled it.
- 27:44Speaker 1: I mean, again, I think it's pretty clear. Like he
- 27:48Speaker 1: oversees all of these decisions. He certainly knew that was coming. Um,
- 27:53Speaker 1: To me, it's about the fact that I know where
- 27:55Speaker 1: this is headed. It's going to happen again next year.
- 27:58Speaker 1: They'll fire Sala in the middle of next year based
- 28:00Speaker 1: on the way the path of this is going because
- 28:01Speaker 1: they fired Callahan in week six of his second year.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Borgonzi's in year two. They fired Carthon after year two. Again,
- 28:13Speaker 1: Callahan was in year two. There are consequences after year
- 28:17Speaker 1: two by Amy Strunk, except for the Callahan deal, which was,
- 28:20Speaker 1: I mean, that was Amy, but That was also just
- 28:25Speaker 1: a deal that football didn't want to make. You could
- 28:27Speaker 1: tell that Borgonzi sat up there that day. He was
- 28:31Speaker 1: mute because he didn't have the voice to say it.
- 28:35Speaker 1: They had sent Brinker down there, and they was Burke.
- 28:40Speaker 1: I just point to they continue to fire people at
- 28:43Speaker 1: a very high rate and very quick rate. They just
- 28:46Speaker 1: do it from the business side, the non-football side. They've
- 28:50Speaker 1: been cleaning out the garage. And they've been doing it
- 28:52Speaker 1: through the non-football side. The focus has been there. And
- 28:55Speaker 1: that's what's out of whack. And she has always done something.
- 29:00Speaker 1: She's been criticized for being impatient. In this case, the
- 29:05Speaker 1: person that has been there the longest has been insulated
- 29:09Speaker 1: based on the model that he put in place, including
- 29:12Speaker 1: the one where Brinker couldn't even describe what his job was.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Now no one's there. And now's the time to make
- 29:19Speaker 1: a move. I think you clean house. I know you...
- 29:21Speaker 1: You get a lot of heat for always saying, like,
- 29:24Speaker 1: a hot seat, they're cleaned out. They have to clean house.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Don't just put someone in the present spot. Wipe them out.
- 29:32Speaker 1: Because otherwise, Robert Sulla's 20-41, Jared. You know this. Start
- 29:37Speaker 1: the season next year 0-4. He's got to go. and
- 29:40Speaker 1: then you're going through this all over again. Borgonzi hasn't shown.
- 29:44Speaker 1: It's practically every choice on a player is practically him
- 29:48Speaker 1: right now.
- 29:49Speaker 6: Yeah, what I would do is at the end of
- 29:53Speaker 6: the year, I'd fire everybody. I'd fire Burke right now.
- 29:56Speaker 6: And then I would fire everybody else at the end
- 29:59Speaker 6: of the year. And then I would hire a team president.
- 30:02Speaker 6: And I would let the team president hire the general manager.
- 30:04Speaker 6: The general manager would hire the coach. And there would
- 30:07Speaker 6: be kind of a traditional model in place. Kind of
- 30:10Speaker 6: similar to when she did clean house. Steve Underwood became
- 30:13Speaker 6: the president. Ken Wisenhunt, gone. Rustin Webster, gone. John Robinson, in.
- 30:20Speaker 6: Mike Malarkey, in. Later Mike Vrabel, in. And I think
- 30:24Speaker 6: I would try to go back to that formula again.
- 30:26Speaker 6: But for some reason, to your point, it just feels
- 30:29Speaker 6: like a repetitive cycle where Amy gives one person a
- 30:32Speaker 6: year of grace and then fires the next person, and
- 30:36Speaker 6: that does need to stop.
- 30:37Speaker 1: Yeah, and you know what? Right now, you can tell, right?
- 30:41Speaker 1: You've got Sala. Sala looks like he is just so
- 30:45Speaker 1: drained from the energy he had in the office. Well,
- 30:49Speaker 1: he's a terrible coach. He knows the death march is on,
- 30:54Speaker 1: and he's Mike McCoy.
- 30:57Speaker 5: Maybe. I think Salah is a pretty terrible coach. But
- 31:00Speaker 5: I'm saying.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Even if he's retained, he's fired next year. We knew
- 31:05Speaker 1: Callahan was going to get fired the year after, but
- 31:07Speaker 1: that's where we're headed. I think that's where I'm really
- 31:12Speaker 1: just over it, is the repetitive nature of what's going
- 31:15Speaker 1: to carry the next year. You lose that season, then
- 31:18Speaker 1: it carries on, and you restart. I'm tired of the cycle.
- 31:22Speaker 1: The fans are tired of being told that they're in
- 31:25Speaker 1: it to win championships. Because it's been everything but that.
- 31:29Speaker 1: And it continues to get worse. I didn't think it
- 31:30Speaker 1: would be this bad. And now you have the news
- 31:35Speaker 1: that it gets worse. With another decision. It's just pathetic.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Because tomorrow who knows what happens.
- 31:42Speaker 6: Yeah, I think when it comes to Amy Adams shrunk
- 31:44Speaker 6: in the Titans, and I hate saying this because I
- 31:47Speaker 6: am a Titan fan, but when they lose on Sundays
- 31:49Speaker 6: and they get embarrassed like they did last week against
- 31:51Speaker 6: the Texans, it doesn't hurt me. Because I'm of the
- 31:55Speaker 6: belief that if this thing goes 0-17, and they really might,
- 31:58Speaker 6: if this thing goes 0-17, then everybody's gone. You know,
- 32:02Speaker 6: at that point, there is no justification for bringing Robert
- 32:04Speaker 6: Sala back, even though it was just one season. Or
- 32:07Speaker 6: there's no justification for holding out hope that Cam Ward
- 32:11Speaker 6: can become worthy of the number one pick. Or that
- 32:13Speaker 6: Mike Borgonzi, there's no argument that he's doing a good
- 32:16Speaker 6: job when he inherited the 3-14 team. and then went
- 32:19Speaker 6: 3-14 and then goes 0-17. So I truly believe that
- 32:24Speaker 6: as a Titan fan, I worry. I just don't think
- 32:28Speaker 6: that Salah's a good enough coach for this to happen,
- 32:30Speaker 6: but I kind of worry about them finding a way
- 32:33Speaker 6: to win five or six games and that being a
- 32:36Speaker 6: justification for keeping somebody or everybody. And again, I don't
- 32:40Speaker 6: think that's going to happen with Cam Ward at quarterback
- 32:42Speaker 6: and Salah as the coach, but that would be my
- 32:44Speaker 6: big fear. I think that what you're looking for, you're
- 32:47Speaker 6: going to get. this offseason because I think it's going
- 32:50Speaker 6: to be so bad you cannot retain a coach moving
- 32:54Speaker 6: into a new stadium if you go 0-17 or 1-60
- 32:57Speaker 6: you cannot do it and she.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Won't and the record is solid record I'm with you
- 33:01Speaker 1: it's not good it's not the standard but he already
- 33:05Speaker 1: knows at 20 and 41 he can add an 0-17
- 33:06Speaker 1: record to that Like, he's trying to revamp and prove
- 33:14Speaker 1: that he wasn't the coach in New York, that he
- 33:17Speaker 1: had the second opportunity. And by week six, he's talking
- 33:21Speaker 1: about the next 12 weeks as a tryout period. I mean,
- 33:24Speaker 1: that is– only the Titans could pull that off with
- 33:27Speaker 1: their new head coach.
- 33:28Speaker 5: I've never seen a head coach– Bring up joint practices. Yes, exactly.
- 33:40Speaker 6: Bring up joint practices from August as a good thing.
- 33:45Speaker 6: And then basically call the remaining 12 games of the season.
- 33:49Speaker 5: The preseason.
- 33:50Speaker 6: Because that's what, when you say, we want to see
- 33:53Speaker 6: who's going to be on this team, that's the preseason.
- 33:56Speaker 6: That's what you do in the preseason. And Robert Sala
- 33:59Speaker 6: is treating the rest of the season like that? I mean,
- 34:01Speaker 6: that just shows you how incompetent this franchise is. And
- 34:06Speaker 6: that's why, again, I think Robert Sala is a terrible
- 34:08Speaker 6: head coach. I think he's a terrible messenger. I think
- 34:10Speaker 6: he is terrible when it comes to running a coaching staff.
- 34:15Speaker 6: And I am convinced this team's ceilings, is two wins
- 34:20Speaker 6: this year, and that will be good enough to get
- 34:22Speaker 6: everybody fired.
- 34:23Speaker 1: Okay, but I agree. But I think he's convinced with
- 34:28Speaker 1: Trubisky he can get five wins, and he can't make
- 34:30Speaker 1: the move. I think that's what I see on his face.
- 34:35Speaker 1: It's like, yeah, he's going to do this this year.
- 34:37Speaker 1: He's talking about the next 12 weeks because he knows
- 34:40Speaker 1: what he's in store for with Cam Ward at quarterback.
- 34:42Speaker 1: That's the way I see it. He can keep his
- 34:44Speaker 1: job with Trubisky because he can get to your five wins.
- 34:48Speaker 1: I don't think he could do that with Cam.
- 34:50Speaker 6: I don't think Salah's that smart. I don't think Salah's
- 34:53Speaker 6: smart enough to sit there and say, you know, if
- 34:56Speaker 6: I put Trubisky in there, everybody that we promised that
- 35:00Speaker 6: we were going to give Cam the season to is
- 35:02Speaker 6: going to be mad, but we might win five or
- 35:05Speaker 6: six games and keep our job.
- 35:06Speaker 1: I don't think he's being told he can't make the call.
- 35:10Speaker 5: Then why would he take the job to be coached?
- 35:11Speaker 5: Then you're not the coach anymore.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Because it's the offer he had. Right? Like, why would
- 35:17Speaker 1: Brian Dable take the– because, I mean, he liked Cam Ward. But,
- 35:21Speaker 1: I mean, they're both trying to prove that they're head
- 35:23Speaker 1: coach material. If I want to make a quarterback change,
- 35:27Speaker 1: it has to be right now because you're 0-5. You're
- 35:30Speaker 1: in the middle of the 0-4 game. You've got to
- 35:32Speaker 1: make a change because at 0-8, 0-9, it doesn't matter
- 35:35Speaker 1: if you change the quarterback.
- 35:36Speaker 6: Well, and the other part about this, too, is that
- 35:39Speaker 6: if you're Robert Sala, if you don't have the authority
- 35:41Speaker 6: to change a quarterback, then you need to quit over that.
- 35:45Speaker 6: You need to say, hey, I'm changing the quarterback, and
- 35:48Speaker 6: if they don't let you change the quarterback, then you
- 35:50Speaker 6: need them to fire you.
- 35:51Speaker 5: Because they're not letting you coach.
- 35:54Speaker 1: You have Dable who's coming in, and everyone's on board
- 35:56Speaker 1: with him changing the accuracy and all the stuff on
- 35:58Speaker 1: the quarterback. And he's the head coach of the offense.
- 36:01Speaker 1: You're pairing these things together. Oh, and by the way,
- 36:03Speaker 1: we're going to make sure this is Cam's rookie year.
- 36:06Speaker 1: We're redoing the rookie year. Like, that's been the theme
- 36:10Speaker 1: of the– and no one really pushed back on that
- 36:12Speaker 1: because everyone was on board with them. Based on the
- 36:14Speaker 1: shit show that we saw from the previous staff, it
- 36:17Speaker 1: turns out it's the same– it feels like the same
- 36:20Speaker 1: staff all over again.
- 36:21Speaker 5: It does. This is, though, where, again, I talk about
- 36:24Speaker 5: action and leadership.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Yes.
- 36:26Speaker 5: If you're Robert Sala and you go 2-15, you're fired.
- 36:30Speaker 6: I mean, maybe somehow, someway you don't get fired, but
- 36:34Speaker 6: you're fired. Going into a new stadium– If you get
- 36:38Speaker 6: fired after what happened with the Jets, you go 2-15
- 36:40Speaker 6: with the Titans, you're never getting a head coaching job again.
- 36:44Speaker 6: So the only thing that Robert Sala can do, in
- 36:47Speaker 6: my opinion, for self-preservation, is to switch the quarterback. And
- 36:52Speaker 6: even if they won't let him switch the quarterback, then...
- 36:56Speaker 6: I would say if I was in Salah's position, you
- 36:59Speaker 6: have to fire me. Because you hired me to be
- 37:01Speaker 6: the coach, and as the coach, I want to play
- 37:04Speaker 6: the other quarterback. And if they say, well, we don't
- 37:06Speaker 6: want you to do that, well, then you have to
- 37:08Speaker 6: fire me, and then you have to explain that you
- 37:10Speaker 6: fired me because.
- 37:13Speaker 5: You wouldn't let me change a quarterback.
- 37:15Speaker 6: Because that's the only hope Salah has for his reputation
- 37:18Speaker 6: of ever getting a job ever again.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Okay. I agree, which is why the change should have
- 37:23Speaker 1: already been made. One final thing, and I want to
- 37:25Speaker 1: get to the news today about the exec, because I'm
- 37:27Speaker 1: more fascinated by this. Mike Borgonzi has the control of
- 37:31Speaker 1: Salah's staff. How far away are we from Mike Borgonzi
- 37:36Speaker 1: firing Brian Dable?
- 37:38Speaker 6: You know, I think that Brian Dable was a Mike
- 37:41Speaker 6: Borgonzi hire. I don't think Brian Dable's the problem.
- 37:45Speaker 5: I don't even think Brian Dable is on the list
- 37:47Speaker 5: of problems.
- 37:49Speaker 1: I know. Maybe they just ride it out and fire
- 37:51Speaker 1: everybody at the end.
- 37:52Speaker 6: I don't think Brian Dable is a good fit for
- 37:55Speaker 6: Cam Ward because Brian Dable's offense is made for Phil Simms.
- 37:59Speaker 5: And Cam Ward is not Phil Simms.
- 38:01Speaker 6: This is the Earhart Perkins offense that Charlie Weiss ran,
- 38:04Speaker 6: that Bill Parcells ran, that Bill Belichick's coordinators ran. This
- 38:09Speaker 6: is that offense. And that's why it fits a quarterback well.
- 38:14Speaker 6: who is accurate, especially short. That's why a guy like
- 38:18Speaker 6: Tua can fit into that offense and play. That's why
- 38:22Speaker 6: a guy like Mac Jones can fit into that offense
- 38:25Speaker 6: and play. This is not the offense for Cam Ward.
- 38:28Speaker 6: Not that I think there is an offense for Cam Ward,
- 38:31Speaker 6: because I don't think Cam Ward's good enough or has
- 38:33Speaker 6: the talent to be good enough. But again, Brian Dable, that's...
- 38:38Speaker 6: That's like when Mike Munchak fired Chris Palmer.
- 38:42Speaker 5: Big deal.
- 38:42Speaker 6: It didn't turn Jake Locker into a good quarterback. And
- 38:45Speaker 6: firing Brian Dable is not going.
- 38:47Speaker 5: To save Cam Moore.
- 38:48Speaker 1: It was action, Jared. They had action. They made a move.
- 38:52Speaker 1: They tried something. This group hasn't tried anything. Nothing. They've
- 38:56Speaker 1: been benching another player. I mean, I guess they made
- 39:01Speaker 1: a move at linebacker. But they haven't tried anything. It's
- 39:05Speaker 1: the most bizarre thing with the organization. Hey, Tell me
- 39:08Speaker 1: about this lawsuit that's going on with this new executive
- 39:13Speaker 1: that Berkney Hill's hiring that the Titans don't even want
- 39:16Speaker 1: to admit they're hiring.
- 39:17Speaker 6: So Jeremy Walls was, when I woke up this morning
- 39:21Speaker 6: and I knew that Jeremy Walls was going to be
- 39:23Speaker 6: the next chief business officer of the Tennessee Titans, I
- 39:26Speaker 6: was under the impression that he was still technically the
- 39:30Speaker 6: COO of the Arizona Cardinals. It sounds like he stepped
- 39:35Speaker 6: down in August when they announced that he would step
- 39:37Speaker 6: down at the end of the year, that he actually
- 39:39Speaker 6: stepped down in August. Jeremy Walls is currently a defendant,
- 39:43Speaker 6: along with Michael Bidwell, who's the owner of the Arizona
- 39:45Speaker 6: Cardinals and technically the president and CEO of the Cardinals,
- 39:48Speaker 6: from two former staffers, one of whom was an assistant
- 39:51Speaker 6: to Walls. The other was an assistant coach for the
- 39:54Speaker 6: Arizona Cardinals that are both alleging racism and unfair practices.
- 40:02Speaker 6: I have no idea if these allegations are true or not.
- 40:04Speaker 6: The federal court kicked this to the NFL for arbitration.
- 40:07Speaker 6: We've seen that before. The NFL tried to kick the
- 40:10Speaker 6: John Gruden lawsuit to arbitration. I believe the NFL tried
- 40:13Speaker 6: to kick the Brian Flores lawsuit to arbitration. The NFL's
- 40:17Speaker 6: game plan with an employee is to get that thing
- 40:20Speaker 6: sent to arbitration. And this did work. So I don't
- 40:23Speaker 6: know what the end results are going to be. If
- 40:25Speaker 6: the Titans love Jeremy Walls so much... then they should
- 40:29Speaker 6: have waited for him to be fully exonerated and then
- 40:31Speaker 6: hired him. You cannot, in my opinion, hire a executive
- 40:39Speaker 6: who is currently facing litigation for racism.
- 40:44Speaker 4: Right.
- 40:44Speaker 1: I mean, this is, you know, allegations, right, right.
- 40:47Speaker 6: I mean, what are you going to have him be
- 40:49Speaker 6: the guy that paints in racism in the end zone?
- 40:52Speaker 1: Well, and not knowing the result of all this, right? Like, uh,
- 40:59Speaker 1: Only the Titans would do this, Jared, at this point.
- 41:03Speaker 6: I've told people when it comes to the Titans, they're
- 41:05Speaker 6: far too many times over the last year. I mean,
- 41:08Speaker 6: let's not even isolate it to five years. Let's just
- 41:10Speaker 6: put it right to one year. Over the last year,
- 41:13Speaker 6: where I thought they would never do that, they can't
- 41:16Speaker 6: be that stupid.
- 41:17Speaker 5: And then they go out and do it.
- 41:18Speaker 6: So nothing at this point surprises me with the Tennessee Titans.
- 41:22Speaker 6: It's not that they can't be that stupid to do it,
- 41:24Speaker 6: because every time I think they can't be that stupid,
- 41:27Speaker 6: they prove me wrong.
- 41:29Speaker 5: And this is another example of that.
- 41:31Speaker 1: They just hired a guy with these types of allegations.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Does that sound like ace business? on behalf of the
- 41:38Speaker 1: front office in Tennessee? Does it show transformational judgment, that
- 41:44Speaker 1: they're a transformational industry? Absolutely not. They're saying that this
- 41:53Speaker 1: hire hasn't been made because they haven't had the open
- 41:56Speaker 1: search yet. They haven't had all the people come through
- 41:59Speaker 1: and make it like it's a fair search.
- 42:02Speaker 6: I love how some people on social media.
- 42:03Speaker 1: They haven't hired the guy.
- 42:04Speaker 6: So the Titans' response was, we haven't made a decision
- 42:08Speaker 6: with our chief business officer.
- 42:09Speaker 1: Tell your example.
- 42:10Speaker 6: But, I mean, to me, first of all, the Titans
- 42:14Speaker 6: have already done that to me. I had the report.
- 42:17Speaker 6: You were involved as a candidate of the play-by-play job
- 42:20Speaker 6: with the Titans. And when I called you, you were like, hey,
- 42:23Speaker 6: I didn't get the job. But that's all I can
- 42:25Speaker 6: tell you.
- 42:26Speaker 1: And you had called me right after I'd heard from Burke, honestly.
- 42:29Speaker 1: And I didn't know... You know, I didn't know how
- 42:32Speaker 1: to react to it because I didn't know if the
- 42:34Speaker 1: other guy or the other candidate other than, you know,
- 42:37Speaker 1: Taylor had been told. Right? So I didn't know how
- 42:42Speaker 1: to answer the question.
- 42:43Speaker 5: I called the Titans.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:45Speaker 6: And this was when I was still a credentialed media
- 42:47Speaker 6: member and when, again, I gave them, you know, journalistic. Yeah,
- 42:51Speaker 6: you know, like journalistic integrity, which they said I didn't have.
- 42:54Speaker 6: But this is, you know, that was one of my...
- 42:56Speaker 6: Journalistic principles. I called the Titans. I said, hey, I
- 42:58Speaker 6: have a report that Taylor Zarger is going to be
- 42:59Speaker 6: the next play-by-play guy. And the team was like, well,
- 43:04Speaker 6: I mean, he's a candidate, but we haven't decided. And
- 43:09Speaker 6: that basically is what Kate Garrow's statement to Paul Kaharski
- 43:12Speaker 6: today sounded a lot like. And by the way, it
- 43:16Speaker 6: was Kate Garrow that I called when it came to
- 43:20Speaker 6: that play-by-play story.
- 43:21Speaker 5: My thing is this, though.
- 43:24Speaker 6: People are saying, oh, I bet the Titans used this
- 43:28Speaker 6: fake news to be able to find out who the
- 43:31Speaker 6: mole feeding information to Jared Stillman is. And my response
- 43:35Speaker 6: to that would be, okay, first of all, I have
- 43:38Speaker 6: multiple sources. Secondly, other people in the media also had
- 43:42Speaker 6: this story. A to Z Sports had this story. Kaharski
- 43:46Speaker 6: tweeted out that he was close on it and just
- 43:48Speaker 6: couldn't get the confirmation for it. I mean, if the
- 43:51Speaker 6: Titans don't hire this guy, it will be because of
- 43:54Speaker 6: the backlash from people that are saying, why is our
- 43:59Speaker 6: football team hiring a guy who is currently facing litigation?
- 44:04Speaker 6: That will be the only reason why. And then I
- 44:08Speaker 6: will laugh and say that, wow, I just got somebody
- 44:11Speaker 6: bounce as an executive from an NFL.
- 44:13Speaker 5: I didn't know I could do that.
- 44:14Speaker 6: But this idea that they haven't hired the guy, if
- 44:17Speaker 6: the team wasn't going to hire the guy, the team
- 44:18Speaker 6: would say that that was categorically false.
- 44:20Speaker 5: They did not say that today.
- 44:21Speaker 1: They hired Ramon Foster, and that was done. And they
- 44:25Speaker 1: tried to wait until the draft. This is what they do.
- 44:29Speaker 1: They wait and try to plan unveilings and stuff. But
- 44:32Speaker 1: it always gets out. It never works out that way. Hey,
- 44:35Speaker 1: final thing. I'm sure you've thought about this. What is
- 44:39Speaker 1: the number one question you will be turning to find?
- 44:43Speaker 1: In a response in that survey from fans, what must
- 44:49Speaker 1: you see immediately?
- 44:51Speaker 6: I want to see how much Burke Nihill's Q rating
- 44:53Speaker 6: has changed in the last year. They asked what your
- 44:56Speaker 6: thoughts of Burke Nihill this year was compared to your
- 44:59Speaker 6: thoughts of Burke Nihill last year.
- 45:01Speaker 5: I think we.
- 45:02Speaker 1: Know the answer.
- 45:03Speaker 5: What's that?
- 45:04Speaker 1: I think we know the answer. Burke was booed whenever
- 45:06Speaker 1: they inducted Mike to the Ring of Honor.
- 45:10Speaker 6: Yes, but I almost feel like those boos were more
- 45:12Speaker 6: directed at Amy, who was standing on the field.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, Burke Nihill. Boo.
- 45:18Speaker 6: I don't think most people knew who Burke Nihill was
- 45:20Speaker 6: a year ago. I think now Burke has kind of
- 45:23Speaker 6: come to the forefront because of his own doing. But
- 45:26Speaker 6: I don't think Amy Adam Strunk's Q rating has changed
- 45:30Speaker 6: much in the last year. It has completely plummeted over
- 45:33Speaker 6: the last six years since Burke took over as CEO.
- 45:35Speaker 1: I would argue, though, Jared, they did know who Burke
- 45:37Speaker 1: Nihill was. You're playing clips of him talking about... Callahan
- 45:40Speaker 1: being the savior, or talk about Rand or whoever it was.
- 45:44Speaker 1: It was Callahan.
- 45:46Speaker 6: Yeah, but I don't think until recently, I don't think
- 45:49Speaker 6: Titan fans felt one way or another about Burke Nihill.
- 45:53Speaker 5: And I think that the thing that I've noticed is just.
- 45:55Speaker 6: How strong the media's push against Burke Nihill has been.
- 45:59Speaker 6: I mean, again, I have felt lied to on several
- 46:01Speaker 6: occasions by Burke Nihill. I have watched him fire people
- 46:05Speaker 6: that I know are good at their jobs, people that
- 46:07Speaker 6: I know are part.
- 46:08Speaker 5: Of a winning culture.
- 46:08Speaker 6: It's easy to say, you know, they fired John Robinson
- 46:11Speaker 6: or they fired Mike Vrabel.
- 46:13Speaker 5: I'm not talking about them.
- 46:15Speaker 6: I'm talking about Robbie Bourne, the PR director who had
- 46:18Speaker 6: been there for 28 years, and they fired for no reason.
- 46:21Speaker 6: The equipment manager who had been with them from Houston, who, again,
- 46:25Speaker 6: they fired for no reason. You know, again, there were
- 46:28Speaker 6: so many people. Anthony Pastrana was a video guy who
- 46:31Speaker 6: had been with them for years.
- 46:33Speaker 1: And here's how they did it, Jared. They fire Rand Carthon,
- 46:37Speaker 1: and then they fire others underneath that on the same day.
- 46:41Speaker 1: And so it goes unnoticed that way. Like, Brent Akers
- 46:45Speaker 1: was let go that day.
- 46:46Speaker 6: And what that tells me when you fire good people
- 46:48Speaker 6: that have been there for a long time is it
- 46:51Speaker 6: tells me that it's all about you. And I always
- 46:54Speaker 6: had that feeling when it came to Burke Nihill that
- 46:56Speaker 6: it's always about him. And for me, I had given
- 47:00Speaker 6: up on Burke when he fired Robbie Bourne, the PR director.
- 47:02Speaker 6: And not that Robbie was feeding anybody information. He was
- 47:07Speaker 6: just a true professional.
- 47:09Speaker 1: He was fantastic for what you want. You're absolutely right.
- 47:14Speaker 6: You don't win by getting rid of people like that.
- 47:17Speaker 6: And so when I saw that, I knew that Burke
- 47:19Speaker 6: was a fraud. And I think the media, each individual
- 47:22Speaker 6: person has kind of had their moment where somebody inside
- 47:25Speaker 6: the building has told them something like that or they've
- 47:27Speaker 6: seen it firsthand for themselves. And so I think the
- 47:30Speaker 6: veracity with which the media has pointed a finger at
- 47:33Speaker 6: Burke Nihill, I think that's going to make this hard
- 47:36Speaker 6: for him to overcome.
- 47:37Speaker 1: Are they going to ban all of us?
- 47:41Speaker 5: Well, I mean, only the YouTubers, I guess.
- 47:44Speaker 1: Maybe. Maybe. I think their solution is they've been trying
- 47:48Speaker 1: to pay media members to be a part of their...
- 47:52Speaker 1: do certain things for the Titans website and stuff. They're
- 47:55Speaker 1: doing that with the players. It's just not... The whole model,
- 48:00Speaker 1: as you know, it's pathetic. It really is. I'll be
- 48:05Speaker 1: waiting for Stillman & Company. presented by Hiller Plumbing, Heating,
- 48:09Speaker 1: and Cooling to Electrical. I'll be waiting for the next
- 48:13Speaker 1: stilly bomb to drop with more news.
- 48:16Speaker 5: You know, I'm not Adam Schefter.
- 48:17Speaker 6: I'm not looking for more news, but if it comes
- 48:19Speaker 6: my way, I will certainly break it as I have done,
- 48:23Speaker 6: even without a credential over the last six weeks.
- 48:26Speaker 1: You're the new Jim Wyatt in town. I say that
- 48:31Speaker 1: with all credit to Jim, but like, Well done, man.
- 48:34Speaker 1: Keep the streak going. Thank you for the time, bro,
- 48:37Speaker 1: and I'll be watching later today.
- 48:39Speaker 5: Sounds good. Thank you, Hutton.

- 48:44Speaker 1: you likely have, but go subscribe right now here on

- 49:36Speaker 1: our ads here, 855-789-1010. 789-1010, that's perfect10mortgage. com. The great Todd
- 49:44Speaker 1: Furman joins us here on Sporting State and Hutton and
- 49:49Speaker 1: Withrow from Bet the Board. Todd, good to see you, man.
- 49:52Speaker 1: Hope things are well.
- 49:53Speaker 3: Always fun catching up.
- 49:54Speaker 7: I'm hoping that I get my voucher for free McDonald's
- 49:57Speaker 7: breakfast if you're going to get me out of bed
- 49:59Speaker 7: this early on the West Coast. But when I get
- 50:01Speaker 7: the opportunity to see your smiling face, Hutton, how could
- 50:04Speaker 7: I possibly say no? And I think we're blessed to
- 50:06Speaker 7: be able to break down games without Withrow intervening with
- 50:09Speaker 7: useless opinions.
- 50:10Speaker 1: Dude, so I thought you were still going to bed.
- 50:13Speaker 1: I didn't think this was a wake-up call for you.
- 50:15Speaker 3: My bad. My bad. If we hit the rewind button
- 50:18Speaker 3: 20 years ago, it would have been the case.
- 50:19Speaker 7: When Clay was doing his radio show on Fox, he
- 50:21Speaker 7: could catch me on the tail end of a bender. Now,
- 50:23Speaker 7: if I'm up past 10 o'clock, I start to get
- 50:25Speaker 7: a little nervous. I need at least my six hours
- 50:27Speaker 7: of sleep. The brain doesn't quite function at 4 a.m.
- 50:30Speaker 7: with that same level of clarity it did when we
- 50:33Speaker 7: first started hanging out in my mid-20s.
- 50:35Speaker 1: Todd, on a scale of 1-10 on a typical college
- 50:38Speaker 1: football weekend, how nervous do you get when it comes
- 50:40Speaker 1: to a bet you've made? Is it every week? Is
- 50:44Speaker 1: it some weeks? How do you sit and watch these games?
- 50:47Speaker 3: You know, honestly, I used to get real nervous back
- 50:49Speaker 3: in the day.
- 50:50Speaker 7: When I was first getting started as a better, you know,
- 50:52Speaker 7: I would kind of be an emotional train wreck. It
- 50:55Speaker 7: was riding a roller coaster. If the day started out well,
- 50:57Speaker 7: I'd have the emotional highs. If the day started to
- 50:59Speaker 7: tail off, I'd be down in the dumps. But now,
- 51:02Speaker 7: I kind of come in with a level of detachment
- 51:04Speaker 7: that I think a lot of our viewers will look
- 51:06Speaker 7: at and laugh and go, no, that's not really possible.
- 51:08Speaker 3: But it really is.
- 51:09Speaker 7: I mean, to be in the trenches every single day,
- 51:11Speaker 7: handicapping the three main sports that I do in.
- 51:14Speaker 3: The NHL, the NFL, and college football.
- 51:16Speaker 7: Like if I get too high off of wins or
- 51:18Speaker 7: too low off of losses, things can compound and you
- 51:22Speaker 7: start to have problematic scenarios develop. So for me, I
- 51:25Speaker 7: try and maintain a level, even keel. And I think
- 51:27Speaker 7: the one that really appreciates it hot is my wife
- 51:30Speaker 7: more than anything else. I give myself about three to
- 51:32Speaker 7: five minutes to get it off my chest and to
- 51:34Speaker 7: kind of vent a little bit, use the Seinfeld serenity now,
- 51:37Speaker 7: and then it's boom, it's onto the next bet.
- 51:39Speaker 3: And yeah, you treat it like numbers on a spreadsheet
- 51:41Speaker 3: for better or worse.
- 51:42Speaker 1: I'd give her my best if you don't mind. Give
- 51:45Speaker 1: us your best pick. Todd Furman's lock. I'm going to
- 51:51Speaker 1: give you our parlay in just a moment that Withrow
- 51:53Speaker 1: and I and JT did yesterday. But I want to
- 51:56Speaker 1: get your take on one play I should make immediately.
- 52:00Speaker 7: So a game that I like quite a bit, you know,
- 52:01Speaker 7: let's do a little bit of big game hunting. What
- 52:03Speaker 7: fun would it be if we tried to go deep
- 52:06Speaker 7: into the Mountain West or the Pac-12 to try and
- 52:08Speaker 7: find a game? But I look at Ohio State, Indiana,
- 52:10Speaker 7: and I think this total is a touch aggressive given
- 52:12Speaker 7: what we've seen from Josh Hoover and Indiana offense that still,
- 52:15Speaker 7: in my opinion, is struggling to find its footing. Hoover
- 52:19Speaker 7: isn't Fernando Mendoza. And look, I was wrong in my
- 52:21Speaker 7: assessment of him last year at TCU. I thought if
- 52:23Speaker 7: he was in a better spot, he would start to
- 52:25Speaker 7: be able to scratch the surface and make a legitimate
- 52:27Speaker 7: case to be a first-round draft pick. Given what we've seen,
- 52:30Speaker 7: at least through a handful of games in Bloomington, hasn't
- 52:32Speaker 7: been the case. So much of Ohio State's offense is
- 52:35Speaker 7: predicated on the ground game. And if you take away
- 52:37Speaker 7: that big explosive play they had against Indiana in fourth
- 52:40Speaker 7: and one, you know, how are we feeling about this
- 52:42Speaker 7: Indiana team if they're coming in on a one game
- 52:44Speaker 7: losing streak instead of being able to snatch victory from
- 52:47Speaker 7: the jaws of defeat? And on the other side for
- 52:49Speaker 7: Ohio State, you know, this is an offense that doesn't
- 52:52Speaker 7: have that same level of proven depth of wide receiver
- 52:54Speaker 7: that we've seen in the past. There is not a
- 52:56Speaker 7: de facto number two in Brandon Innes or Chris Henry Jr.
- 52:59Speaker 3: Just yet to rival Jeremiah Smith.
- 53:01Speaker 7: So if there's one coach that I have confidence in
- 53:04Speaker 7: in the Big Ten that can at least force you
- 53:06Speaker 7: to play somewhat left-handed in, slowing down Jeremiah Smith, it
- 53:09Speaker 7: may take 11 defenders.
- 53:11Speaker 3: It's Kirk Cignetti.
- 53:12Speaker 7: So if Ohio State has to do things differently, they
- 53:14Speaker 7: don't have the explosives in the passing game, I get
- 53:16Speaker 7: the feeling it's the first team to 24 that gets
- 53:18Speaker 7: a win. So I'll go under the total right now
- 53:19Speaker 7: at Hard Rock Bet sitting at 51.
- 53:21Speaker 1: Okay, so how much do you follow true trends? If
- 53:25Speaker 1: a team's three straight wins hitting the under, coming in
- 53:28Speaker 1: against a team that's 2-1 or 1-2, are you following that,
- 53:32Speaker 1: or am I a dumbass for actually following it?
- 53:35Speaker 7: Not so much in terms of totals, but I do
- 53:37Speaker 7: think there is a little bit of validity when you're
- 53:39Speaker 7: looking at teams that have started the year, say, 5-0
- 53:41Speaker 7: or 6-0 against the number. Or on the flip side
- 53:44Speaker 7: of things, teams that have really struggled. I'm not saying
- 53:46Speaker 7: it's something that you blindly bet into or you blindly fade.
- 53:49Speaker 7: But what you can take away from those kind of
- 53:51Speaker 7: scenarios is that.
- 53:52Speaker 3: Team A may be overvalued. Team B may be undervalued.
- 53:56Speaker 7: And eventually, if we believe that the betting market is
- 53:58Speaker 7: truly efficient, it's going to catch up. So, for example,
- 54:01Speaker 7: a team like Oregon State, who's done nothing but cover
- 54:03Speaker 7: numbers and done so by the gaudiest of margins all
- 54:07Speaker 7: season long. Somewhere along the way, you're going to be
- 54:09Speaker 7: forced to pay a premium. This week against Washington State,
- 54:13Speaker 7: that remains to be seen. But I can tell you
- 54:15Speaker 7: one thing, Hutton, that looking at Oregon State after a
- 54:17Speaker 7: 66-14 win last week against San Diego State, laying four
- 54:21Speaker 7: and a half points more against Washington State, who I
- 54:23Speaker 7: power rate better than the Aztecs. Again, one illustration, but
- 54:27Speaker 7: you're probably paying a premium to back teams that do
- 54:30Speaker 7: nothing but line people's pockets week in, week out throughout
- 54:32Speaker 7: the fall.
- 54:32Speaker 1: Okay. Again, like Chad and I have discussed, we always
- 54:36Speaker 1: play our parlay. We'll combine some things. We try to
- 54:39Speaker 1: get creative. And then our record sucks. So we're like,
- 54:43Speaker 1: we should just take the minus 135 and try to
- 54:46Speaker 1: bet the obvious. But we end up trying to play
- 54:51Speaker 1: it up a little bit and play it down. I
- 54:52Speaker 1: don't know. I'm trying to be better this year. I'm
- 54:55Speaker 1: not playing too many parlays. They suck me in on these.
- 54:58Speaker 1: And so we do.
- 55:00Speaker 3: This each week.
- 55:01Speaker 7: They're the temptress trying to beckon you into the rocky shores.
- 55:04Speaker 7: You think, you know, if I can win one game,
- 55:06Speaker 7: how much harder is it to win two? And if
- 55:08Speaker 7: I can win two, how much harder is it to
- 55:10Speaker 7: win three? And let's hope our partners at Hard Rock
- 55:13Speaker 7: Bet aren't listening right now. But look, Parleys for me
- 55:17Speaker 7: are not a part of my day-to-day. Well, I tinker
- 55:19Speaker 7: every now and again if I think there's a level
- 55:21Speaker 7: of correlation or if I want to play two or
- 55:23Speaker 7: three money line underdogs and say a college football Saturday,
- 55:25Speaker 7: no doubt. But they are such a small percentage of
- 55:29Speaker 7: what I'm doing for the majority of my bets that
- 55:31Speaker 7: are largely predicated around sides and totals. Of course, with
- 55:34Speaker 7: a smattering of futures, whether they be win totals, odds
- 55:36Speaker 7: to win, all that kind of stuff.
- 55:38Speaker 1: Okay, so with all that being said, just initial thoughts
- 55:41Speaker 1: on this parlay. Every Wednesday, we go for the bundle,
- 55:44Speaker 1: is what we call it. And we combine three individual
- 55:46Speaker 1: picks into one. We have the Hard Rock bet going
- 55:50Speaker 1: for the bundle from yesterday. I took Utah minus 14.5
- 55:53Speaker 1: against Colorado. And I said, why? Because they're playing Colorado.
- 55:59Speaker 1: Do you like that pick initially? No.
- 56:03Speaker 7: So my number on the game is kind of right
- 56:04Speaker 7: in line with market. I make Utah right around a
- 56:06Speaker 7: two touchdown favorite. So I don't see a ton of
- 56:09Speaker 7: opportunity and upside there. I will say with Utah, though,
- 56:13Speaker 7: they were rather fortunate to get outside the number last
- 56:15Speaker 7: week against Kansas, a 41-24 final. We'll see if they
- 56:18Speaker 7: can replicate it. But the one thing I do believe
- 56:21Speaker 7: you have going for you is that if Utah is
- 56:22Speaker 7: able to get out to a fast start, I just
- 56:24Speaker 7: don't think Colorado has the firepower to get back in
- 56:27Speaker 7: the game. And while their final score last time we
- 56:28Speaker 7: saw them, against Texas Tech was rather misleading. I would
- 56:32Speaker 7: be much more comfortable making a case for Utah to
- 56:34Speaker 7: run away and hide than for Colorado to keep this
- 56:36Speaker 7: game competitive for four quarters.
- 56:38Speaker 1: Chad brings Florida plus 10.5 against Texas.
- 56:42Speaker 7: So interesting development here. We are still not sure who
- 56:46Speaker 7: will be starting under center for the Florida Gators. Aaron
- 56:49Speaker 7: Filo showing up with a questionable designation on Wednesday. We'll
- 56:53Speaker 7: see if he is the man taking snaps there. But
- 56:56Speaker 7: I think for Florida, look, this is a team that
- 56:58Speaker 7: a lot of people were extremely high on after that
- 57:01Speaker 7: dominating win against Ole Miss. They go on the road
- 57:03Speaker 7: against Missouri. Jaden Baugh gets bottled up. And you think, okay,
- 57:06Speaker 7: South Carolina is going to be the perfect cure-all. They're
- 57:08Speaker 7: going to handle things in their own building at the swamp.
- 57:10Speaker 7: And sure enough, South Carolina wins. They came out right
- 57:12Speaker 7: as a double digit dog. I can understand where Withrow
- 57:15Speaker 7: is coming from. I mean, laying double digits with this
- 57:17Speaker 7: Texas offense right now is kind of a perilous proposition.
- 57:21Speaker 7: But at the same time, if Texas sells out, stops
- 57:23Speaker 7: the run, I'm just not sure Florida has enough in
- 57:25Speaker 7: the passing game. So I'd actually lean the other way
- 57:28Speaker 7: from Chad on this particular game. Number did open a
- 57:30Speaker 7: shade shorter in that nine and a half range. and
- 57:33Speaker 7: immediately got bet up. But I can see a scenario
- 57:35Speaker 7: where Texas finally looks the part offensively after that disappointing
- 57:39Speaker 7: loss against Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry last week.
- 57:41Speaker 1: I get the feeling JT texted you. I don't know
- 57:44Speaker 1: if he's... He.
- 57:45Speaker 3: Did not text me this week.
- 57:47Speaker 7: He may or may not have texted me earlier in
- 57:49Speaker 7: the season for some.
- 57:50Speaker 1: Of these bets. Hey, that's good. I'm all for this.
- 57:53Speaker 1: He goes UKOU, Kentucky, Oklahoma, over the number at 43.5.
- 57:59Speaker 3: You know what?
- 58:00Speaker 7: I actually can't argue with JT here. It's scary trying
- 58:04Speaker 7: to back OU and expecting them to actually look like
- 58:07Speaker 7: a living, breathing, functioning offense. But at the same time,
- 58:11Speaker 7: I think that if you were to try and take
- 58:13Speaker 7: a side-by-side snapshot of what Jon Mateer has done at
- 58:16Speaker 7: quarterback this year versus Arch Manning, I think a lot
- 58:18Speaker 7: of people would be surprised that Mateer's numbers aren't exactly
- 58:21Speaker 7: that bad. Now, Kentucky on the other side, Wolstein has
- 58:24Speaker 7: done a phenomenal job getting this team to five wins.
- 58:27Speaker 7: Back-to-back one-point victories, electing to go for two on the
- 58:30Speaker 7: road in Columbia against South Carolina. And, of course, last
- 58:33Speaker 7: week pulling off the outright upset as an eight-and-a-half point
- 58:35Speaker 7: dog against LSU. But I have no problem making a
- 58:38Speaker 7: slight case to go over. I think Oklahoma is going
- 58:40Speaker 7: to find it a little bit easier sledding this week.
- 58:42Speaker 7: And I think this Kentucky offense is slightly better than advertised. So,
- 58:46Speaker 7: while it's scary and it may never feel truly comfortable,
- 58:49Speaker 7: I'd much rather be holding an overticket between OU and
- 58:51Speaker 7: Kentucky than I would be looking to go under the total,
- 58:54Speaker 7: hoping that these defenses can dominate.
- 58:56Speaker 1: You wouldn't play this parlay, but you should. You should
- 58:57Speaker 1: go for the bundle with us with Hard Rock Bet. Alabama, Tennessee.
- 59:02Speaker 1: We're going to be there, headed down there tonight. We
- 59:05Speaker 1: will then host tomorrow morning out of Gatlinburg, then Knoxville
- 59:09Speaker 1: on Friday night for the Dixieland Delight Friday night show
- 59:12Speaker 1: on Sport and State. Todd, I've gone back and forth
- 59:16Speaker 1: all week on this because there's something about the game
- 59:20Speaker 1: at Neyland and the number that keeps rising that I'm waiting.
- 59:24Speaker 1: to see what happens when we get closer to kickoff.
- 59:28Speaker 1: Where do you come down on– I mean, Bama's playing well.
- 59:31Speaker 1: They're coming off the loss. Tennessee doesn't have stellar quarterback play,
- 59:35Speaker 1: but they can certainly at times run the football very
- 59:38Speaker 1: well and control the clock. If they don't turn the
- 59:40Speaker 1: football over, I like their chances of being a four-quarter game.
- 59:45Speaker 4: Do you?
- 59:46Speaker 7: I mean, the numbers started to balloon at six and
- 59:48Speaker 7: a half, seven. I would have had no interest in
- 59:50Speaker 7: the underdog. But as we get into that no man's
- 59:52Speaker 7: land north of a touchdown, it starts to get slightly
- 59:54Speaker 7: more intriguing.
- 59:55Speaker 3: I mean, you mentioned it for Tennessee.
- 59:57Speaker 7: I mean, it's not to oversimplify the handicap when you're
- 1:00:00Speaker 7: trying to get involved in Vols games on a weekly basis.
- 1:00:03Speaker 7: But are they playing a team where they can run
- 1:00:04Speaker 7: the football? If they are, they're going to have success.
- 1:00:07Speaker 7: If they're forced to be one-dimensional, I don't think at
- 1:00:09Speaker 7: this point anyone has confidence in Faison, Brandon, or McIntyre
- 1:00:13Speaker 7: under center, especially given the underwhelming cast of receivers that
- 1:00:16Speaker 7: the Vols have at their disposal. Meanwhile, for Alabama, I
- 1:00:20Speaker 7: do wonder a little bit about a hangover from last
- 1:00:22Speaker 7: week's game. Was Georgia the better team in the second half?
- 1:00:25Speaker 7: There's no doubt about it. Kirby made the right adjustments,
- 1:00:27Speaker 7: but I think Alabama had some legitimate gripes. How you
- 1:00:29Speaker 7: don't call pass interference late in the game Um, when
- 1:00:32Speaker 7: KJ Bolden basically runs through an Alabama receiver following play,
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: it's a sack takes Alabama out of field goal range.
- 1:00:38Speaker 7: And George is able to kind of salt that thing
- 1:00:40Speaker 7: away for a field goal victory. But, uh, this is
- 1:00:43Speaker 7: a Bama team that look, if Keelan Russell can get
- 1:00:45Speaker 7: comfortable in the pocket can create some problems, but I
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: do really believe the strength of this Tennessee team is
- 1:00:50Speaker 7: on the defensive side. And I'm surprised to see Alabama
- 1:00:52Speaker 7: take as much money. So I would lean towards the underdog,
- 1:00:54Speaker 7: but I do think if you want to make a
- 1:00:56Speaker 7: case for Tennessee here, you might want to try and look,
- 1:00:59Speaker 7: look at the under as well. because I think there's
- 1:01:01Speaker 7: a definite correlation that if Tennessee is going to keep
- 1:01:03Speaker 7: this game close, it's because their defense was the best
- 1:01:05Speaker 7: unit on the field come Saturday afternoon.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: I just made a note of this. I'm taking the
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: under for the Vols as well. Thank you, Todd. Todd
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: Furman with us from at the board at Sporting State. Hey,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: so Missouri, I haven't liked Missouri to start the season,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: and I've been stupid with this. Have you backed the
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: Tigers the entire time, or have they won you over?
- 1:01:26Speaker 7: So, look, I'm going to give Eli Drinkwitz a world
- 1:01:28Speaker 7: of credit because I think we were all looking for
- 1:01:30Speaker 7: that signature win that had been absent on Missouri's resume,
- 1:01:33Speaker 7: not just this season, but arguably over the last couple
- 1:01:35Speaker 7: of years. You know, they put together a four-quarter performance
- 1:01:38Speaker 7: against Florida, win that game 45-17. And Austin Simmons looked
- 1:01:42Speaker 7: the part of the kind of franchise quarterback that I
- 1:01:45Speaker 7: think Missouri thought they were getting in that particular spot.
- 1:01:49Speaker 7: Fast forward a week, and then Missouri's defense is what
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: takes the cake. The offense was a little bit underwhelming
- 1:01:54Speaker 7: against A & M. But defensively, they made life miserable
- 1:01:57Speaker 7: for Marcel Reed early on. You know, I think going
- 1:01:59Speaker 7: into the fourth quarter, A & M had a grand
- 1:02:01Speaker 7: total of two first downs before they put up a
- 1:02:03Speaker 7: few points in garbage time late in that contest.
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: It made the scoreboard and, more importantly, the box score
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: look a little bit better.
- 1:02:09Speaker 7: Different task here, and I'm interested to see the storylines there.
- 1:02:12Speaker 7: I wonder, Hutton, if we make too big a deal
- 1:02:14Speaker 7: about this revenge angle in the portal era. I mean,
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: does Austin Simmons want to go back and prove that, hey, look,
- 1:02:20Speaker 7: I should have been the starting quarterback and I didn't
- 1:02:22Speaker 7: want to hand the baton to Trinidad Chambliss? And on
- 1:02:24Speaker 7: the flip side for Ole Miss, do they want to
- 1:02:26Speaker 7: prove that, look, Trinidad's our guy, we're going to make
- 1:02:28Speaker 7: life difficult, and we're going to remind everybody why Austin
- 1:02:31Speaker 7: Simmons became a bench casualty and eventually had to transfer out?
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: This number has been interesting, though.
- 1:02:37Speaker 7: When you look at where it opened at Hard Rock
- 1:02:38Speaker 7: Bet at 6.5, kind of ping-ponging right around that secondary
- 1:02:42Speaker 7: key number.
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: We've seen some books get as low as 5.5.
- 1:02:45Speaker 7: I think this is an opportunity to kind of sell
- 1:02:48Speaker 7: Missouri stock at the top of the market, but I
- 1:02:50Speaker 7: do think Missouri's got the kind of defense that can travel.
- 1:02:53Speaker 7: They've played one mobile quarterback as well in Kamario Taylor.
- 1:02:56Speaker 7: fell apart in the fourth quarter there. I think that
- 1:02:59Speaker 7: helps them get a little bit more prepared. Wish I
- 1:03:01Speaker 7: had stronger convictions on this game, but I do think
- 1:03:03Speaker 7: it's one of the more fascinating SEC games of the
- 1:03:06Speaker 7: entire day to figure out whichever team comes out of
- 1:03:09Speaker 7: this with a win, suddenly we're talking about them having
- 1:03:11Speaker 7: a much stronger resume and being truly worthy of playoff considerations.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: And there's something about last week, too, Todd. They're coming
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: off the bye week, Ole Miss, and they go and
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: just slaughter Vandy. I mean, it's over, well over at halftime.
- 1:03:23Speaker 7: You know, here's the interesting part about that game, though, Hutton.
- 1:03:25Speaker 7: I mean, watching that thing, what was it, 21-3 or 14-3? And,
- 1:03:29Speaker 7: you know, Vandy has the ball right about midfield. And
- 1:03:32Speaker 7: then it just, like, out of nowhere, I got up.
- 1:03:34Speaker 7: Filled my water bottle. Came back 15 minutes later. I go, wait,
- 1:03:37Speaker 7: what the hell is going on here?
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: It was 21-3. Vandy was driving.
- 1:03:40Speaker 7: I figure it's going to be right around that 10-11
- 1:03:43Speaker 7: point margin going to the break. And then it's suddenly 42-3.
- 1:03:46Speaker 7: And Ole Miss looks like they were the greatest thing
- 1:03:48Speaker 7: since sliced bread for weather that never showed up.
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: So there is no doubt.
- 1:03:52Speaker 7: Ole Miss had two weeks to sit on that debacle
- 1:03:55Speaker 7: against Florida and want to exercise some demons. This, like
- 1:03:58Speaker 7: I said, I mean, I wish I had a stronger
- 1:04:01Speaker 7: angle to try and get involved, but this is going
- 1:04:03Speaker 7: to be one of the more intriguing watches. And I
- 1:04:06Speaker 7: think a true litmus test is all these SEC teams
- 1:04:08Speaker 7: go through this nine-game conference gauntlet, you know, to figure
- 1:04:11Speaker 7: out who can bring their A game week in, week out,
- 1:04:14Speaker 7: and maybe more importantly, who can win with their B
- 1:04:17Speaker 7: game when they're playing teams in that top half of
- 1:04:19Speaker 7: the conference.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: Todd, who rebounds? Is it Mississippi State or LSU? Because
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: they're not playing under the lights. This is earlier in
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: the day.
- 1:04:25Speaker 7: My feeling is you're going to get LSU that's going
- 1:04:28Speaker 7: to be able to take advantage of a Mississippi State
- 1:04:30Speaker 7: team that won't have much in the way of answers defensively.
- 1:04:33Speaker 7: I think LSU will be able to run the football
- 1:04:35Speaker 7: and be all right in that particular regard. My biggest
- 1:04:37Speaker 7: concern here is in getting information out of Starkville, not
- 1:04:40Speaker 7: exactly the easiest place to try and find out about
- 1:04:43Speaker 7: what's truly going on. is the extent of Kamario Taylor's injuries.
- 1:04:47Speaker 7: I mean, we heard mixed things last time out, again,
- 1:04:51Speaker 7: when they were blown out at home by Alabama, that
- 1:04:53Speaker 7: he was dealing with the flu, that it might be
- 1:04:55Speaker 7: turf toe, that it could be, you know, broken foot
- 1:04:58Speaker 7: or something along those lines. So for me, it's tough
- 1:05:01Speaker 7: to try and assess. The one thing I will say
- 1:05:03Speaker 7: is the betting market has had, if that's any indication,
- 1:05:06Speaker 7: you know, moving from no man's land out to two touchdowns,
- 1:05:09Speaker 7: even past that 14 to 14 and a half.
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: I think it's a lay it or don't play it
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: type game.
- 1:05:14Speaker 7: Jeff Levy and Mississippi State have been a great story,
- 1:05:16Speaker 7: but I think it's about to strike midnight for the
- 1:05:18Speaker 7: de facto SEC Cinderella.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: Hey, you mentioned quarterback there, but Nico out for UCLA.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: What did that do to the overall odds for them
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: and the reflection that they had in Vegas?
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: Yeah, it changed the number a little bit.
- 1:05:32Speaker 7: I mean, look, Nico isn't the elite prospect that Tennessee
- 1:05:36Speaker 7: thought he was going to be when they paid him
- 1:05:37Speaker 7: all that money to bring him in as kind of
- 1:05:38Speaker 7: the face of the organization. But it still is a
- 1:05:41Speaker 7: two and a half, three point downgrade for me to Dieffenbach.
- 1:05:44Speaker 7: I think though UCLA's final score last week, the 17-15
- 1:05:47Speaker 7: win against Oregon, they were flattered. on the scoreboard. I mean,
- 1:05:50Speaker 7: when you take the ball away seven times from your
- 1:05:52Speaker 7: opponent and you can still only score 17 points, not
- 1:05:56Speaker 7: a ringing endorsement. And we mentioned teams that are well
- 1:05:58Speaker 7: rested versus teams that have been kind of going through it.
- 1:06:01Speaker 7: You know, Wisconsin comes into this game brimming with confidence.
- 1:06:04Speaker 7: They had a week to prepare. They have a salty defense,
- 1:06:07Speaker 7: and I think Colton Joseph will be the better of
- 1:06:09Speaker 7: the two quarterbacks. I think Wisconsin's extremely live and really
- 1:06:12Speaker 7: believe they win this game outright. UCLA's been one of
- 1:06:15Speaker 7: the best stories. Coach Chesney has been a phenomenal hire,
- 1:06:18Speaker 7: at least from an early return standpoint.
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: I think that'll continue.
- 1:06:20Speaker 7: But I think Wisconsin goes out to Westwood and comes
- 1:06:23Speaker 7: away with the outright win.
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: I like the Badgers plus the points here.
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: So let's hit Notre Dame-BYU. I mean, there's so many
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: great games this week. This has been circled for months,
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: this date. And it's living up to the hype, man.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: We've got so many games, we can't keep up with it.
- 1:06:38Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, look, college game day going out to
- 1:06:40Speaker 7: Provo for the first time in almost 20 years. This
- 1:06:43Speaker 7: is a BYU team that, you know, Kalani Satake probably
- 1:06:47Speaker 7: does more with less than any coach in the country.
- 1:06:49Speaker 7: It was a guy that I thought was going to
- 1:06:51Speaker 7: be on the hot seat a couple seasons ago, and
- 1:06:53Speaker 7: he has proven me wrong and then some. Meanwhile, for
- 1:06:55Speaker 7: Notre Dame, you know, a lot of people will point
- 1:06:57Speaker 7: at their strength of schedule, relatively speaking, but you dig
- 1:07:00Speaker 7: underneath the hood and suddenly the win against Wisconsin week
- 1:07:03Speaker 7: one looks a lot better. The fact that they were
- 1:07:05Speaker 7: able to obliterate a Purdue team that now has an
- 1:07:09Speaker 7: outright win as double digit dog against Illinois and a
- 1:07:11Speaker 7: dominant performance against Minnesota looks a little bit better. So
- 1:07:14Speaker 7: I think people are discounting Notre Dame a little bit
- 1:07:16Speaker 7: more just because they don't have that signature marquee winner.
- 1:07:19Speaker 7: They're not playing SEC opponents. They should be healthier on
- 1:07:21Speaker 7: the defensive side. I mean, they were down as many
- 1:07:23Speaker 7: as four starters last week at Stanford. Didn't slow them down.
- 1:07:27Speaker 7: Outside of home field advantage, I'm not sure where BYU
- 1:07:30Speaker 7: gets that de facto edge that'll leave you feeling confident
- 1:07:34Speaker 7: backing them as a double-digit dog. You know, my power
- 1:07:36Speaker 7: number on this game is north of two touchdowns. If
- 1:07:38Speaker 7: I give BYU a full field goal for home field,
- 1:07:41Speaker 7: It kind of takes me into no man's land, but
- 1:07:43Speaker 7: I am much closer to making a bet on Notre
- 1:07:45Speaker 7: Dame thinking that they can put a stamp on their
- 1:07:47Speaker 7: season thus far and win this game going away than
- 1:07:49Speaker 7: I would be backing Bear Bachmeier and an offensive BYU
- 1:07:52Speaker 7: that I think lacks the kind of elite weapons that
- 1:07:55Speaker 7: you need to attack a Notre Dame defense in space.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: Are you going Houston over Oklahoma State? Are you playing
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: this game?
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't have a position on it yet.
- 1:08:03Speaker 7: I do think this game could have plenty of offense,
- 1:08:05Speaker 7: and I think Oklahoma State's only path to victory here
- 1:08:08Speaker 7: is to try and crank up the tempo, try and
- 1:08:10Speaker 7: tire out Houston defensively. But Connor Wegman, dare I say,
- 1:08:13Speaker 7: making the case to be the best quarterback right now
- 1:08:16Speaker 7: going at any FBS program currently in the state of Texas,
- 1:08:19Speaker 7: and yes, that does include Arch Manning.
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: I think this Houston team is the real deal.
- 1:08:23Speaker 7: They're more balanced in terms of what they can do offensively,
- 1:08:26Speaker 7: and more importantly, I think against Oklahoma State, they can
- 1:08:28Speaker 7: come up with a stop or two offensively. So I
- 1:08:29Speaker 7: like the Cougars here to win and do so by margin.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Are you playing the Michigan-Penn State just to have a
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: reason to watch the game?
- 1:08:37Speaker 7: You know, look, if this number gets out to 7.5,
- 1:08:39Speaker 7: I'll begrudgingly want to make a case for Penn State. Defensively,
- 1:08:43Speaker 7: the Nittany Lions haven't exactly been a brick wall. Michigan,
- 1:08:46Speaker 7: you know, weak to lick their wounds. What version of
- 1:08:48Speaker 7: Bryce Underwood are we going to get? Hutton, if you
- 1:08:51Speaker 7: have a read on either of these teams, you are
- 1:08:53Speaker 7: a smarter, more sophisticated model builder than me. Because just
- 1:08:57Speaker 7: when I think Michigan is going to be fine, they
- 1:08:59Speaker 7: were unlucky, in the game against Iowa Bryce Underwood completely
- 1:09:02Speaker 7: regresses and they look like they can't do anything offensively
- 1:09:05Speaker 7: against Minnesota so if I had to get involved at
- 1:09:07Speaker 7: seven and a half with lean Penn State but again
- 1:09:10Speaker 7: not a contest that I'm running to bet and talk
- 1:09:13Speaker 7: about a game between two historic blue bloods that loses
- 1:09:15Speaker 7: an awful lot of luster given their respective starts of
- 1:09:17Speaker 7: the season.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: It's still in the CBS time slot, right? So you've
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: got Timmy B out west doing Nebraska-Oregon, and both teams
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: coming off losses, and you've got Nebraska, though, looking okay.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: They've got to be a different mindset than what Oregon's
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: going through this week.
- 1:09:37Speaker 7: You would think that Nebraska still knows that they have
- 1:09:39Speaker 7: everything in front of them to play for, and if
- 1:09:41Speaker 7: they're able to pull off the upset in Eugene, that
- 1:09:43Speaker 7: suddenly the loss against Indiana doesn't look as bad because
- 1:09:46Speaker 7: if the Huskers were able to rattle off wins. and
- 1:09:49Speaker 7: finish the regular season, dare I say, 11-1, 10-2, which,
- 1:09:52Speaker 7: of course, is a pipe dream. They're very much in
- 1:09:55Speaker 7: the discussion of being, you know, playoff eligible of sorts. Meanwhile,
- 1:09:58Speaker 7: for Oregon, look, I mean, Oregon's season is hanging on
- 1:10:01Speaker 7: the brink. I mean, we've seen their odds to win
- 1:10:03Speaker 7: the national title completely crater hard rock bet. I mean,
- 1:10:06Speaker 7: this is a team that even if they beat Nebraska
- 1:10:09Speaker 7: on Saturday, their season is going to be completely defined
- 1:10:12Speaker 7: by can they go on the road to Columbus and
- 1:10:14Speaker 7: win that game and finish out the season 10-2. We're
- 1:10:17Speaker 7: not sure about DJ Moore if we're ever going to
- 1:10:19Speaker 7: see him again under center, but what a disappointing performance
- 1:10:22Speaker 7: from Dylan Rayola, I mean, who looked the part in
- 1:10:24Speaker 7: the second half against USC. and then gets himself pulled
- 1:10:28Speaker 7: with three of the most miserable quarters of quarterbacking play
- 1:10:31Speaker 7: that we have seen in a Power 4 conference all year.
- 1:10:34Speaker 7: Tough to gauge the mindset, but I do think that
- 1:10:36Speaker 7: Nebraska probably a little bit more focused here. And look,
- 1:10:40Speaker 7: this Oregon team, clearly a disappointment thus far. Strong, strong
- 1:10:44Speaker 7: lean towards the Cornhuskers playing that game at 11 o'clock
- 1:10:46Speaker 7: Eastern time plus a 7.5.
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: Final one on college, Miami. Can I feel safe just
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: laying the points knowing they're going to crush FSU?
- 1:10:55Speaker 7: So one thing to watch for here, weather could play
- 1:10:58Speaker 7: a role and it doesn't look like it's going to
- 1:10:59Speaker 7: be wet, but we could have 40 to 50 mile
- 1:11:01Speaker 7: an hour winds. So if that does come to fruition
- 1:11:04Speaker 7: in Coral Gables for the game, or I guess I
- 1:11:05Speaker 7: should say Miami Gardens, makes it a little tougher for
- 1:11:08Speaker 7: Miami to kind of find some of those explosives in
- 1:11:10Speaker 7: the passing game and run away and hide. But I'd
- 1:11:13Speaker 7: be closer to making a case for Miami is right
- 1:11:15Speaker 7: around a three touchdown favorite. They should be able to
- 1:11:17Speaker 7: run the football and find creative ways to get Malachi
- 1:11:19Speaker 7: Tony the ball in space. And when I look at
- 1:11:21Speaker 7: Florida State, they're just not built to play from behind.
- 1:11:23Speaker 7: I mean, it's largely a quarterback run game with Croma
- 1:11:26Speaker 7: and Ashton Daniels. And if that tandem can't get going,
- 1:11:29Speaker 7: I just don't see any secondary pass for Florida State.
- 1:11:32Speaker 7: But if the weather subsides, it's Miami or pass. If
- 1:11:35Speaker 7: the weather gets nasty, tough to lay three touchdowns if
- 1:11:37Speaker 7: it's going to be 40 or 50 mile an hour
- 1:11:39Speaker 7: sustained wind gusts from start to finish.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: Todd, until I see it to believe it, I should
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: play the under every week for the Titans, right?
- 1:11:48Speaker 7: I mean, this offense, I don't understand how anybody watches
- 1:11:52Speaker 7: it on a weekly basis and feels comfortable that they're
- 1:11:55Speaker 7: seeing the kind of development from Cam Ward at least
- 1:11:57Speaker 7: through the first five games of the season that leads
- 1:11:59Speaker 7: you to believe he's going to be the franchise quarterback
- 1:12:02Speaker 7: going forward.
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: Bigger total because.
- 1:12:04Speaker 7: Of the Colts' defense, but I think the Tennessee Titans' defense,
- 1:12:07Speaker 7: dare I say, will be the best of.
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: The four units that we'll see.
- 1:12:09Speaker 7: And hot and famous last words, I actually like the
- 1:12:12Speaker 7: Titans plus the seven here. This is a big, big
- 1:12:15Speaker 7: number that you're asking the Colts to cover. And while
- 1:12:18Speaker 7: it's disgusting and scary on the surface, I think the
- 1:12:21Speaker 7: Titans are live underdogs and might not be surprised if
- 1:12:23Speaker 7: they're able to actually win a game for the first
- 1:12:26Speaker 7: time all season.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: Again, I've got to see it. Last week was the
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: time to show up, man.
- 1:12:34Speaker 7: I mean, look, that's a tougher nut to crack for Houston.
- 1:12:38Speaker 7: And while I know what their record says at 0-4,
- 1:12:40Speaker 7: underlying numbers suggest that they were one of the.
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: Most unlucky teams in the league.
- 1:12:44Speaker 7: And you look at the opposing offenses that were able
- 1:12:46Speaker 7: to shred the Texans at least the first couple weeks,
- 1:12:49Speaker 7: it was the Bills.
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: It was the Bengals.
- 1:12:52Speaker 7: I mean, the Colts, to a lesser extent, didn't shred them,
- 1:12:54Speaker 7: but Houston just couldn't close that out.
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: And, of course, it was the Dallas Cowboys as well.
- 1:12:58Speaker 3: So they finally had a chance to punch down in class.
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: I think the Titans were encountering a buzzsaw.
- 1:13:03Speaker 7: But at the same time, look, Tennessee took very real
- 1:13:06Speaker 7: and very substantial professional money on game day. I mean,
- 1:13:08Speaker 7: that thing came off of the seven and pretty much
- 1:13:10Speaker 7: closed six and a half everywhere in the world, including
- 1:13:12Speaker 7: Hard Rock Bet.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: Yeah. Thursday Night Football, we've got Seahawks taking on the Broncos. Broncos,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: home dog. Seahawks, strong.
- 1:13:21Speaker 7: First half under for me. Went under the total at 20.5.
- 1:13:24Speaker 7: I think both these offenses are struggling. I mean, Bo
- 1:13:27Speaker 7: Nix will grab all the headlines, but the underlying numbers
- 1:13:30Speaker 7: for Seattle over the last couple weeks, not exactly great.
- 1:13:32Speaker 7: I know Sam Darnold shredded the Commanders in his first
- 1:13:34Speaker 7: game back from injury. But something looks broken for this
- 1:13:37Speaker 7: team offensively. I mean, the ground game has been a
- 1:13:39Speaker 7: little bit banged up. I mean, down Jadarian Price. We'll
- 1:13:42Speaker 7: see when Zach Charbonnier can get back in action. But
- 1:13:44Speaker 7: if teams can scheme, at least to a certain extent,
- 1:13:46Speaker 7: JSN out of the fold, it makes them a lot
- 1:13:49Speaker 7: easier to defend. I know the Cowboys, or Cowboys, I
- 1:13:51Speaker 7: know the Broncos are going to be down two of
- 1:13:53Speaker 7: their best defensive players in Patrick Sertan and Talanoa Hufanga.
- 1:13:56Speaker 7: who left the game last week against the Chargers. But
- 1:14:00Speaker 7: I think on a short week, Denver's defense can do
- 1:14:02Speaker 7: enough to generate pressure up front. And on the flip
- 1:14:05Speaker 7: side of things, I think this Seahawks defense is going
- 1:14:07Speaker 7: to be a very difficult ask for Bo Nix and
- 1:14:09Speaker 7: a Broncos offense looking for an identity. So I'll go
- 1:14:11Speaker 7: into the total in the first half at 20.5 and
- 1:14:14Speaker 7: look for both these coaches to be relatively conservative.
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: We have seen a trend, though, the last three weeks.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: The dog is surprised. I mean, at least we see that.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: This would not be a shock.
- 1:14:24Speaker 7: No, I think if Denver's able to win this game out,
- 1:14:27Speaker 7: I don't think anybody will really be stunned.
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: It's a tough place to play. Unfamiliar surroundings.
- 1:14:32Speaker 7: I mean, a road team on a Thursday night in
- 1:14:34Speaker 7: a non-divisional game, in my opinion, is at such a
- 1:14:36Speaker 7: disadvantage because they're not used to scouting a particular opponent.
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: So it wouldn't shock me at all.
- 1:14:41Speaker 7: And while it's a very small sample size so far,
- 1:14:44Speaker 7: so no one should overreact, You know, primetime underdogs have
- 1:14:46Speaker 7: performed exceptionally well in the early going of the season,
- 1:14:49Speaker 7: at least through the first five weeks.
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: Hey, all the way up, what's a percentage win over
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: the weekend that you're going for? Like 52%? What are
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: you trying to average to get to where you want
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: to be at the end of the season?
- 1:15:04Speaker 7: So the full break even, I mean, for people that
- 1:15:06Speaker 7: hate math, and I'm glad that Withrow isn't here because
- 1:15:09Speaker 7: he'd be sitting here with his calculator and we get
- 1:15:11Speaker 7: the Rodney Dangerfield gif.
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: We'd see the numbers kind of flying by.
- 1:15:15Speaker 7: As him trying to figure all that out. 52.4% is
- 1:15:18Speaker 7: the break-even number if you assume that you're risking $ 11
- 1:15:21Speaker 7: to win.
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: $ 10 on all of your bets.
- 1:15:24Speaker 7: For me, at the end of football season, if I'm
- 1:15:26Speaker 7: looking at mainly sides and totals, expect to hit a
- 1:15:28Speaker 7: higher percentage of props for lower limits in a less
- 1:15:31Speaker 7: liquid market. I'm thrilled if I can finish around 55%.
- 1:15:34Speaker 7: I know people want to try and sell you a
- 1:15:36Speaker 7: bill of goods and go, I want to hit 60
- 1:15:38Speaker 7: to 70%. Hutton, if I had 60 or 70% for
- 1:15:41Speaker 7: the amount of bets that I'll make in a football
- 1:15:43Speaker 7: season over the course of NFL and college, I am
- 1:15:46Speaker 7: doing backflips. And while I probably couldn't move into the
- 1:15:49Speaker 7: community that Clay Travis lives in down there in Destin,
- 1:15:52Speaker 7: I'd at least be able to get myself a nice trailer,
- 1:15:55Speaker 7: a stone's throw away from the beach.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: Okay, well, I see all these people on social, like,
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: I have 75% big winners. I'm like, I doubt it.
- 1:16:06Speaker 7: If you're picking 75% over a prolonged sample size, you're
- 1:16:10Speaker 7: not posting your picks on social media.
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: I mean, you're buying your own island in the Caribbean.
- 1:16:15Speaker 7: You're sipping frozen drinks with little umbrellas in them.
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: So it's a little bit of buyer beware.
- 1:16:20Speaker 7: If someone's trying to sell you a little bit of
- 1:16:22Speaker 7: snake oil, can you hit 60% for a season?
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: Sure. It's rare and it's difficult, but it can be done.
- 1:16:27Speaker 7: Uh, but if you're looking at this big picture wise,
- 1:16:29Speaker 7: I mean, if you're hitting 55%, you know, over thousands
- 1:16:32Speaker 7: and thousands of trials, that's a pretty good racket. And
- 1:16:34Speaker 7: it puts you in rarefied air being in that 1%.
- 1:16:37Speaker 7: It's not the 1% that I'm in. You know, I
- 1:16:39Speaker 7: leave that to my cohost on the Thursday show for Beth.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: Okay. All right. You've been doing, uh, bet the board
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: for a while, but I mean, we're thrilled to have you, man. It's, uh,
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: You know we've got your back from here at Nashville,
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: but we've got to get together again on the West Coast.
- 1:16:56Speaker 7: I mean, look, you guys were out here. I think
- 1:16:58Speaker 7: the last time we broke bread together was the Super
- 1:17:00Speaker 7: Bowl out here in Vegas.
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: It was.
- 1:17:02Speaker 7: Whether it's me getting to Nashville, but here's the bottom line.
- 1:17:05Speaker 7: We can cut this and clip this. You know where
- 1:17:07Speaker 7: the College Football National Championship is this year, so this
- 1:17:10Speaker 7: is where Clay decides to go into the company card,
- 1:17:13Speaker 7: pony up, and we're able to do a couple of
- 1:17:15Speaker 7: live shows right outside of Legion Stadium and take advantage
- 1:17:18Speaker 7: of of the college football epicenter being right out here
- 1:17:22Speaker 7: on Las Vegas Boulevard. Since you know if there's one
- 1:17:24Speaker 7: city in the country that can rival Nashville in terms
- 1:17:26Speaker 7: of putting on a show from Entertainment Value, I'm putting
- 1:17:29Speaker 7: Vegas right up there alongside it.
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: Is it Clay or Laura with the company card?
- 1:17:34Speaker 7: I mean, Laura's the one that we have to go
- 1:17:36Speaker 7: to to be able to make things happen. That or
- 1:17:38Speaker 7: Producer Jacob pulling the strings behind the scenes. I mean,
- 1:17:44Speaker 7: we can get him to try and have some accounts.
- 1:17:47Speaker 7: And look, Hutton, I mean, I figure that there's no
- 1:17:49Speaker 7: limit on that credit card. So if there's, you know,
- 1:17:51Speaker 7: let's say, you know, 8 to 10 first class round
- 1:17:54Speaker 7: trip tickets on there for all you guys to get
- 1:17:56Speaker 7: out here, I'm easy. I can drive down there. I
- 1:17:58Speaker 7: can stay at home. So there's not much overhead to me.
- 1:18:00Speaker 7: It's just a question of getting all you guys out here.
- 1:18:03Speaker 7: and figuring out what kind of accommodations you win. And
- 1:18:05Speaker 7: if you want a presidential suite at the Wynn, or
- 1:18:07Speaker 7: if you're looking to stay at the Oyo, unfortunately, Hard
- 1:18:11Speaker 7: Rock won't be open on Las Vegas Boulevard. Otherwise, that'd
- 1:18:13Speaker 7: be way too easy for us.
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: We'll just send you a car. You don't have to drive.
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: There we go. Perfect. My kind of team. Send me
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: a nice black car. We'll go there.
- 1:18:20Speaker 7: I don't have to deal with traffic on the Strip.
- 1:18:22Speaker 7: I am more than happy to kind of rubber stamp
- 1:18:24Speaker 7: that proposition.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: Hey, good to see you, man. Thank you for the advice.
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: I wrote down the... the ones that you are strong on.
- 1:18:32Speaker 7: Is that the same piece of paper, though, that you
- 1:18:34Speaker 7: were doing the reads to start the segment, or do
- 1:18:36Speaker 7: you keep two separate piles so you have a little
- 1:18:37Speaker 7: bit of organization?
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: Here's the read. It is like treads. It's kindling now
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: for a fire. I wouldn't have a forest fire over
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: here with all this.
- 1:18:47Speaker 7: We'll step it up. We'll send you a couple index cards.
- 1:18:49Speaker 7: They'll be in your box just in time for the holidays.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I've got to get my stuff together over here
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: with all the ads. All of Clay's companies. That's where
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: we are. Good to see you, Todd. Todd Furman, Bet
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: the Board. Check out the podcast, sportandstate.com. And all of
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: his great work on social media, he crushes it, 55%.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: And that's what we're going for this weekend. That's what
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: I've just learned. Hey, also, what we know. We know
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: we've got Chad Withrow straight ahead and much more right
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: here on Hutton & Withrow. SportingState.com, presented by Hard Rock Mad.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: Good morning to you, Hutton & Withrow, here at SportingState.com.
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: Chad joins us from Florida with his Crockett coffee, named
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: after the– The volunteer, the patriot, David Crockett, started by
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: Clay Travis, Buck Sexton, and Buck's brother, Mason. Look, this
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: is David Crockett on the back of crocodiles. That tells
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: you everything about the attitude here. 100% pure Arabica, high
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: altitude beans, small batch roasted right here in America, Tennessee,
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: the heart of the country. It's chips fresh roasted. It's
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: not sitting on a shelf. for like six months. It's light, medium, dark, decaf, organic,
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: even a mushroom blend. However you make it in the morning,
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: that means that's Sun Creek, Blue Ridge, King Mountain, Chad,
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: there's even Elk River. What are you going with today?
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: I'm going with King Mountain this morning here at the beach,
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: and I love it, Hutton. And I love that you
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: can set up a subscription and it shows up on
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: your schedule, change it or cancel it anytime you want,
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: as the free marketing intended. Free shipping on orders of
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: $ 59 or more, and there's a discount for veterans. And
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: Crockett partners with Tunnel to Towers, building mortgage-free homes for
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: the families of fallen service members and for catastrophically injured
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: veterans and first responders. Good coffee, made in America, doing
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: some good. CrockettCoffee.com. That's Crockett, C-R-O-C-K-E-T-T-Coffee.com. Hutton, thrilled to be
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: with you here at the Gulf of America this morning.
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: And I experienced one of the more American things I
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: can ever remember yesterday by watching the Blue Angels perform.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: How was that, man? Give me your review. I've never
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: seen them. Well, so the base here in Pensacola is
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: closed down with the effects of the hurricane. So we
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: couldn't go on base and do the whole museum, Naval
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: Aviation Museum and everything else that went with it. So
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: I watched from a Walmart parking lot with a ton
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: more people. The parking lot was packed. The Target across
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: the street parking lot was packed. I went with the
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: Walmart parking lot and watched it. And they do a
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: good job of flying directly over you and you hearing
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: the sound and everything and doing the coordinated stunts, the
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: diamond formation they get into where they're almost touching wings.
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: They're so close to each other with four different jets.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: I can imagine doing that. The best way to describe
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: this thing is it was a red, white, and blue
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: middle finger to the rest of the world. And I
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: love when America majors in middle fingers and everyone else.
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: And the fact that we can coordinate this and use
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: this military might all together at once and get some
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: of the best pilots in the world to withstand the
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: G-forces these pilots have to withstand to go straight up
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: into the air as fast as they do, straight down,
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: the barrel rolls, everything else. I've never been a big
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: air show guy, and I know your grandfather's big into
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: aviation and was big into this, but watching this yesterday,
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: and I can't wait to come back next year for
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: our kids' fall break and actually go to the museum.
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: Nope.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: And get the narration from the extra pilot and everything
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: else you're going to get with the show. It was awesome.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: How did you become a Blue Angel? So, got back home.
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: And I would recommend this to everyone. Prime Video has
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: an hour and a half long documentary called The Blue Angels.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: It's produced by our guy, Glenn Powell. Oh, nice. He's
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: the producer on it. And it is a great documentary
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: that shows you the history of the Blue Angels. It's
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: got an older pilot, how you become one. You have
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: to serve at least 3,000 aeronautic miles or missions in
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: order to be considered for the Blue Angels. So everyone
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: that's up there on this display team, which it is
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: a show, they have served in combat missions or they
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: have flown for the United States Navy. There's five Navy pilots.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: So naval aviators, think Tygun, right? And there's one Marine
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: pilot that's on there. So- The Marines being a part
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: of the Navy, they come together on this. But they
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: all fly for our country in combat or they're flying
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: stationed somewhere else. They come together in two-year terms to
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: do a Blue Angel, basically stay. And then they go
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: right back to serving our country as pilots, as fighter pilots.
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: It's incredible. The work that goes into it, when they
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: show the machine they do to withstand the G-forces, it's insane.
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: So highly recommend anybody who's interested in red, white, and
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: blue middle fingers to everyone else, which I am, watch
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: the Blue Angels documentary on Amazon Prime. Chad, just coming in,
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: the Titans fans are giving a middle finger to Burke Nihill,
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: to the floor continuing to go down to the basement. Yeah.
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: Don't put the graphic up yet, JT, because I want
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: to set this up. So, Paul Koharski, every single day,
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: has been asking for Burke Nihill to comment. The Titans
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: get back to him and eventually say, when he's available,
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: we'll let you know. Like, we're going to let you
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: know when he's ready to talk. That because Paul, every
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: single day, was putting out that they were not allowing
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: him to speak to Nihill. And they didn't want that
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: out every day. Well... And credit to Easton Freeze and
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: A to Z Sports. They had a great idea. They
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: just released their survey. I haven't seen the results of
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: this yet, Chad, their big 8,000 response survey. They got
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: comment from Burke Nihill. Now, it's not about anything other
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: than the survey. And this is me saying to Kenneth
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: Adams IV, to Bryce Wasserman, to literally anybody that can
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: get to Amy's ear, You've got to do something about
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: the leadership of the Tennessee Titans. Because it's not an
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: A to Z sports. I would imagine this is the
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: only thing on the record that they could get. That's
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: my guess. Because this is BS. This is, again, I'm
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: not ripping A to Z about the survey, but here
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: it is. Let's put that up there. We appreciate any
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: and all feedback. This is Burke Nihill, by the way.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: Any and all feedback that our fans take to provide,
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: whether it comes to post-game surveys, emails, calls, I mean,
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: you can scan through this. Chad, we want to win.
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: We want to hear about the experience fans are having,
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: both in the stadium and away from it. And what
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: we can do better to earn their trust. Trust that's
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: not given, it's earned. And we know it's our job
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: to keep earning it. And then at the end, build
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: something they can be proud of. Using their voices to
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: guide us as we work to build something they can
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: be proud of. Is this Chad GPT? I mean, what?
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: We hear from him, and that's it. This is the
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: same guy that's going to be speaking at a leadership
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: deal in Murfreesboro. What's going on here? Here it is.
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: It's not going to be the first comment from Burke
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: in November, but the leadership beyond the field featuring Burke
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: Nihill at a luncheon. Chad, what are we doing? What's
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: going on here? Will he be taking questions? Leadership beyond
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: the field? That would be my question because if I'm
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: Paul Kaharski and others, I'd go ahead and pay for
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: that pass to that convention in Rutherford County and go
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: ahead and start asking some questions about the job he's
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: done with the Tennessee Titans. He's got to do a
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: sit-down with Paul. Paul's been asking every day. That can't
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: be the representation of the response to everything that's been
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: going on, including the hire that isn't the hire yet
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: officially within the front office about someone who's involved in
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: the lawsuit. I can't imagine a scenario where there is
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: someone in charge that feels more disconnected from a city
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: and a fan base than Amy Adam Strunk and Burke
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: Nihill does right now when things are going south. There
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: have been plenty of examples of out-of-touch billionaires, right? Throughout time.
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: That just aren't, they're not living in reality. Right, right, yeah.
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: But Burke Nihill's role is to be the face of
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: the organization and the mouthpiece of the organization. To lead.
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: To lead and be the mouthpiece of the Titans business,
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: fan relations operation, stadium, the organization, okay? It's been a travesty. And...
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: I know that he doesn't want to admit that it's
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: been a travesty because then the question is, well, why
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: is it a travesty? Because it's under your watch. But
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: to come out and, as you've said, Hutton, deliver a
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: chat GPT response to this survey where you're getting ripped
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: and the organization's getting ripped. Good job, Ace, for getting
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: that many people to respond to anything and to answer
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: that many questions and to write, what, 3,800 essays? I
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: think he got that people actually wrote out all their
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: thoughts in essay form. Good for him to get that.
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: I read the story. I have a hard time reading
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: a story with that many numbers in it. I heard
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: Todd Furman making fun of me about numbers. But when
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: you're showing me graphs and percentages and everything else, I
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: really lose. I'm a story guy. I'm a narrative guy.
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: If you give me the written word, I'm going to
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: read through it. I didn't need that survey to tell me,
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: based on our finger on the pulse of Titans fans,
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: that the Titans fans are angry about the direction of
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: this organization today. And what's going on. But good job
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: by him getting all those responses. And I guess a
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: good job by getting a chat GPT response from Burke Nihill.
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: I agree that he should do a sit down with Paul.
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: I agree that he should answer a tough question. I
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: also believe that even in that response, that we're going
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: to continue earning your trust. Keep doing what we've been doing.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: I'm thinking, dude, you've got to change the wording to
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: that to restore your trust. You have to regain your trust.
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: We know that we have a lot of work to
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: do to make you want to be a part of
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: this again. You've got to start saying things like that.
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: But again, this is not someone who cares about the fans.
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: This is not someone who cares about what we think.
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: What he cares about is keeping his job with Amy
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: Adams Trump. This is like a parody. Look at the
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: third sentence. Every response tells us something about what it
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: means to be a Titans fan. And we don't take
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: that for granted. I mean, this is embarrassing. It's embarrassing. And...
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: All of this is snowballing to Ramone Foster is talking
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: about the racial discrimination lawsuit this morning on the Wake
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: Up Zone. I mean, everything is awful right now. And
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: he's acting like we're going to keep earning your trust.
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: And this is the new floor. Every time I think
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: they've reached it, here we go. If he's going to speak,
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: he needs to speak on behalf of all the questions.
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: And again, I would think Easton would be trying to
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: get more and did not get anything but that. Chad,
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: let's do– we have our Locks of the Week coming
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: up too. Locks of the Week. Well, let me say
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: this too on the whole let's hire someone who's under
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: a lawsuit issue. somewhere else. He shouldn't be allowed to
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: hire anybody. This is what really bothers me right now
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: is we're starting this cycle again. The guy who's been
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: in charge of the place burning to the ground and
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: reaching a point where Paul Kuharski, who for all of
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: his vitriol and Yankee demeanor and everything else that people
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: don't like about him, he's a pretty level-headed guy when
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: it comes to wins and losses and how the NFL works.
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: And he stays pretty level on everything. Paul is saying
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: in the 31 years he's covered the team, it's never
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: been worse. It's not even close. From an apathy of
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: the team to the fans to everything that goes into
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: the organization, it is rock bottom. And now you're going
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: to allow the guy that has brought it to rock
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: bottom to to start firing and then replacing other people.
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: And I know that Amy Adams Strzok is doing this
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: through him, but he has far too much power right now.
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: So regardless if the person is guilty of being a
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: racist or not, which I have no idea based on
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: the lawsuit, it's beside the point that, okay, now you
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: got Jared Stillman popping another story on the Titans. And
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: then this happens, and you look foolish again. So we're
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: going to allow– this guy's making big-time hires in the
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: front office. This is where we're going to go now.
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: This is the direction is to continue to empower him.
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: If I am a Titan season ticket holder spending money
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: with that team, I don't know how you look that
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: person in the face straight in the eye and say,
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: we're doing everything we can. to make this better and
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: to make good decisions. I don't know how you can
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: say that if you're the Titans organization. And Chad, I believe,
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: and I was told, that Burke was telling some of
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: those three that were laid off that we were going
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: to be bringing in this guy. So this has all
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: been planned prior to the layoffs. And that the guy
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: would be telling friends of his, he's not retiring from
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: the Cardinals. No, no, no, he's got something else coming up.
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: Think about that. This whole thing's been in motion just
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: like every decision is made prematurely, right? It's done, but
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: they wouldn't even confirm the job that's done. What is
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: done is the decision of quarterback for Tennessee. It's going
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: to be George McIntyre. No surprise, right? Based on expectations
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: of where Faison Brandon was. Well, and it's the right
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: decision right now. George McIntyre's got to not turn the
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: ball over three times. That's the takeaway from that game
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: against Arkansas. But, you know, really, when you look at
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: it statistically, and they weren't asking him to do a ton,
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: but he did pretty well. I mean, he throws for 247,
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: I think. It would have been over 300 yards had
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: Braylon Staley stayed in bounds on one big play, had
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: he caught another couple. He had three or four drops
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: in the game that should have been caught. So I
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: don't think it was all bad for George McIntyre. I
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: also don't leave that Arkansas game thinking, boy, this is
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: the guy who's going to beat Alabama. as a starting quarterback,
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: or this is the guy who's going to give you
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: a chance to beat LSU or even go on the
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: road and beat better opponents. But I think when you
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: look at Tennessee's defense and where they are, and where
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: they are is they're one of the best defenses in
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: the SEC. We're halfway through the year. They're one of
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: the best defenses in the country. Xavier Gilliam, as Cole
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: Kublik said, is the best defensive player in America right
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: now through halfway point of the season. He's been unbelievable.
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: So that defense should give you a chance. They are
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: your constant for this team. You've got to find somebody
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: who can make some plays through the air because Tennessee's
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: passing game is not good right now. They want to
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: run it, but it's tough to run it when you're
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: so one-dimensional. George McIntyre, a healthy George McIntyre, I think
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: we saw in the Arkansas game, gives Tennessee a better
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: shot right now. I think it is foolish, though, to
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: look at this and not understand that there's some gray
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: areas here about who should be the starter moving forward.
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: No doubt. I'm not out on Faison Brandon completely. I
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: want to see him get healthy. I want to see
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: if he looks better from a decision-making standpoint when he's
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: healthier and when he's had a week to prepare. I'm
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: not saying replace George McIntyre yet. I'm just warning ball
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: fans that if you think George McIntyre is the new
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: appointed one of Tennessee football, listen to what Josh Heupel
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: is saying about Faison Brandon and how he didn't bench him.
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: He was hurt, and he didn't lose his starting spot.
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: He's injured, and we're waiting on him to get healthy.
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: Faison Brandon is going to start games again this year.
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: At some point, Tennessee needs both of those guys to
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: be healthy and to be available when things go south.
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: Because right now with a freshman and a redshirt freshman
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: in this conference, I have no faith that one of
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: those guys is going to finish the season being a
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: great quarterback. They're going to need both of them at
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: different times, and they're going to need to ride the
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: hot hand a little bit, which that's something that Josh
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: Heupel is not really comfortable doing. He is a pick
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: a quarterback and stick with him type guy for the
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: most part. Yep. And I don't necessarily disagree with it
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: as long as you're sticking with the game plan that's
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: based around that quarterback. What did we see at A &
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: M back in 2021? Calzada came in the second half.
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: How did they win that game? They popped a kickoff return.
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: And they are about punt return, I believe. And they
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: blocked one. You know, they flipped the field and Calzada
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: was able to do the he hit his layups. You know,
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: like Georgia's got to hit his layups. And Tennessee, they
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: need to win the turnover battle and cash in if
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: they get one. I think that that's the key with
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: all of it. We're love. How did how did Clay
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: bet this game? Has he announced that? He has. I
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: have not read it. I saw the post where he's
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: got his bet. I think he went with the over-under,
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: but I don't know which way he went. Probably the
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: under in this game is the way I would play it, probably.
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: We discussed that. Maybe it's one of our locks. Who knows?
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: Hard rock block, straight ahead, here on Nutley Withrow. Jay,
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: you've got to have balls to play for the Nashville Balls.
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: XXXY Athletics has got the t-shirts for you, the official
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: Nashville Vols gear, founded by Jennifer Say, former national champion gymnast.
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: She's a former Levi's brand president, but she walked away
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: from the corporate job rather than to say something she
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: didn't believe, and she started XXXY Athletics instead. And the mission,
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: in their words, is to empower female athletes, take a
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: stand for fair competition, and they call it the T
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: that launched a movement. And, Chad, it's official athletic apparel.
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: Maybe Burke Nihill can follow his heart and leave his
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: company as a CEO the way Jennifer Say did and
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: start a new company. You know, one could dream. And
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: one could dream about a WNBA dynasty. And that's what
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: the Nashville Bulls could become. With Enos Cantor as the
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: starting center, as we saw, the ability to dunk two-handed
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: on other WNBA players could be a problem for other
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: WNBA teams. Just going to throw that out there. Tease
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: trucker hats for the Nashville Bulls available. New customers get 20%
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: off your first order when you sign up at freeshipping.com.
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: Over $ 100. XXXYathletics.com. That's XX-XYathletics.com. I wish that Easton Freeze
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: could have thrown in his survey. Would you prefer Burke
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: Nihill to have a crisis of conscience and have to
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: leave the organization because of men playing women's sports and
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: start a rival company to XXXY if this was an option?
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: Would you be okay with it instead of being the
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: CEO of the Titans? The team name would be the
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: Entertainment Betas, right? A boy can dream. Or girl. Boy
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: or girl. Whatever. Coming up in 15 seconds, Hard Rock Lock.
- 1:37:39Speaker 5: This year, the party's getting even bigger.
- 1:37:41Speaker 3: Hey, there's Jay Boyd. They know me.
- 1:37:43Speaker 5: This party, everybody's somebody. And Hard Rock Bet has something
- 1:37:47Speaker 5: for everyone.
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: Plus, new customers bid $ 5 and get up to $ 500
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: in no-sweat bets. Sutton and Withrow, presented by Hard Rock Bets.
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: Hardrock.bets.clay is the offer you just heard about. It's fantastic. $ 5,
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: get up to $ 500 in no-sweat bets. Hardrock.bets.clay. And we
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: recommend you sign up, and then you roll with us
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: on one of our Hard Rock Locks of the week. Chad,
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: I feel good about both of ours this week, but
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: I'm rolling. I'm going to one of the top matchups here.
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: Ohio State, Indiana. I think this is about the defenses.
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: I don't think Indiana has shown me that they are,
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: like last year's team, is going to put up a
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: ton of points no matter who they're playing. And I
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: love Ohio State's defense and what we've seen in certain games.
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: I think they show up. I think the under is
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: in play here, 51 and a half. Look, I think
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: this is a victory. I like it. I'm going to
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: parlay it with yours. And I think this is a
- 1:38:50Speaker 1: week for unders. I love that pick. We found out
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: Clay is going under in Tennessee, Alabama. Also, I like
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: that one if I'm playing it. I also kind of
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: like Alabama to cover in the game, but I think
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: under is also a good play. I'm not going under
- 1:39:07Speaker 1: with this one. I'm going to refer to my lock
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: this week. It's just the ultimate heat check. Oh, here
- 1:39:11Speaker 1: we go. I'm 14 and one on Friday nights. Okay.
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: I don't know a damn thing about Tulane. Now that
- 1:39:17Speaker 1: John Sumrall is not their coach. I don't know much
- 1:39:20Speaker 1: about Memphis after Ryan Silverfield left. I'm not going to
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: sit here and lie to our audience and tell you
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: I've done a ton of research about the rushing attack
- 1:39:28Speaker 1: versus the front of Memphis or how Memphis is going
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: to throw it over the top against Tulane. I have
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: no clue, but I'm going to ride the hot hand
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: right here. This is like Steph Curry going two feet
- 1:39:39Speaker 1: further back after shooting three after three after three and
- 1:39:43Speaker 1: then seeing if he can hit from half court. Friday
- 1:39:46Speaker 1: night college football has been my sweet spot. Give me Tulane.
- 1:39:50Speaker 1: I know nothing about them, but they're at home and
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: they're playing Memphis and they're in a six and a
- 1:39:55Speaker 1: half point underdog. I thought about taking Green Wave Moneyline
- 1:39:58Speaker 1: on this.
- 1:39:59Speaker 3: I didn't.
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: I'm going to go Tulane six and a half. They
- 1:40:02Speaker 1: may win outright, but give me the wave to cover
- 1:40:06Speaker 1: in this game, Hudson. Ultimate heat check on a Friday
- 1:40:09Speaker 1: night for me. 14-1 so far in the college football season.
- 1:40:12Speaker 1: Let's get to 15-1 with this game, shall we? And
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: this is how you go 14-1. You don't overthink it.
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: You don't overthink it. You go with your gut and
- 1:40:20Speaker 1: you take the home dog on a Friday. It's got
- 1:40:23Speaker 1: to be the Friday. You can watch Bet the Board
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: so Todd Furman can break out his sheets and his
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: graphs and everything else and show you numbers and where
- 1:40:32Speaker 1: this passing statistic intersects with this over here, and it
- 1:40:36Speaker 1: gives you a 53% chance. There's a place for you
- 1:40:38Speaker 1: to consume all that. Bet the Board, great show. Todd
- 1:40:41Speaker 1: Furman's going to give you that. What I'm going to
- 1:40:43Speaker 1: give you is my gut feeling on a guy that's
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: 14-1 on Friday nights by God, and I'm about to
- 1:40:49Speaker 1: go to 15-1 with this one. You know what else
- 1:40:52Speaker 1: is great about Friday night? Dixieland Delight Friday night. We're
- 1:40:55Speaker 1: going to be live in Knoxville. Wagon Wheel 815 is
- 1:40:58Speaker 1: our kickoff time for Dixieland Delight Friday night live show
- 1:41:03Speaker 1: at Wagon Wheel. Chad, you were there with Kelly and
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: Ariel a couple weeks ago. We're headed back to Wagon
- 1:41:09Speaker 1: Wheel for the same start time on supportandstate.com. You're going
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: to love the setup. We started in Oxford and we
- 1:41:15Speaker 1: were just looking at Jacob Lutz and the corner of
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: a cubbyhole. underneath the stairwell in front of us. This setup,
- 1:41:22Speaker 1: we're going to be on a stage. We're looking out.
- 1:41:25Speaker 1: Window will be open so people can yell things at
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: us and say hello as they pass in the street
- 1:41:30Speaker 1: in the old city. And there's a breeze rolling in.
- 1:41:33Speaker 1: There's people behind us. We're on a stage. A very,
- 1:41:36Speaker 1: very cool setup there with Mark Jernigan and Wagon Wheel.
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: We love it. We're going back. We're going to run
- 1:41:40Speaker 1: it back this week, Friday night, 7.15 Central Time, 8.15 Eastern.
- 1:41:45Speaker 1: Join us on the YouTube channel. Could have some surprise
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: special guests also. Hey, and also tomorrow morning I'll be
- 1:41:52Speaker 1: hanging with Next Round Live. They're going to be doing
- 1:41:55Speaker 1: some stuff from Gatlinburg. Headed there. We'll be kicking things
- 1:41:58Speaker 1: off there. I've got Jason Swain coming on the show,
- 1:42:00Speaker 1: plus LT, and I believe the entire crew. We're going
- 1:42:04Speaker 1: to make it official. I think Ryan Brown will join
- 1:42:06Speaker 1: us as well. Hopefully everyone will swing by. It's going
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: to be fun, and you can catch all the sport
- 1:42:13Speaker 1: and state coverage. Chad, last time we were in Oxford
- 1:42:15Speaker 1: together for this game, Tennessee stormed the field. We'll see
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: what happens. I can't wait. I'm jealous you're going to
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: go to Gatlinburg, one of my favorite places. Weather's going
- 1:42:25Speaker 1: to be perfect this weekend. If you're in town, come
- 1:42:28Speaker 1: find us on Friday night. Say hello. We're going to
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: be having a ball. And can't wait to connect with
- 1:42:33Speaker 1: the Next Round Live guys, which, oh, by the way,
- 1:42:35Speaker 1: they're about to be starting their show here pretty soon. Yeah,
- 1:42:36Speaker 1: that's right. They're coming up in about 30 seconds or so.
- 1:42:40Speaker 1: Right now, remember, go download the app, the Hard Rock app, hardrock.bet.com. $ 5,
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: get up to $ 500 in no-sweat bets. That's hardrock.bet.com. Chad,
- 1:42:52Speaker 1: be safe on the drive coming back, if you don't mind.
- 1:42:54Speaker 1: We'll do. We'll catch you in Knoxville. All right. Sounds great.
- 1:42:57Speaker 1: See you there. SportsState.com. Coverage continues. He's Withrom Hutton. Hutton
- 1:43:02Speaker 1: and Withrom presented by Hard Rock Bet.
