- 0:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna do everything I can to be out there.
- 0:20Speaker 2: You know. You know, I feel I feel a lot
- 0:23Speaker 2: better today than I would have thought. So I like
- 0:25Speaker 2: him progressing, and you know, I'm gonna do everything I
- 0:27Speaker 2: can to be out there on Thursday.
- 0:30Speaker 3: So you haven't heard it from the man himself. I'm
- 0:32Speaker 3: kind of Annie Stevens, brand Sex and John Oser here
- 0:34Speaker 3: for Jags am as we get ready for Thursday night football.
- 0:37Speaker 3: And Trevor Lawrence was about as candidate as he could be.
- 0:39Speaker 3: He said he really wants to play this week. He's
- 0:41Speaker 3: gonna do everything he can to be out there. Brian,
- 0:44Speaker 3: where do we think he's at with it? He seems
- 0:45Speaker 3: optimistic about it, But it's a short week.
- 0:48Speaker 1: I still think it's a going toss. I mean, I
- 0:49Speaker 1: still think there's a lot of people that read into that, oh,
- 0:53Speaker 1: he's playing for sure. I don't think it's for sure.
- 0:56Speaker 4: I think if its for sure, I think he's for sure.
- 0:59Speaker 4: I think he's gonn to play. I think he's gonna
- 1:02Speaker 4: get through it. I think they're going to try to
- 1:03Speaker 4: protect him with play calling and you know, basically get
- 1:07Speaker 4: down if there's any danger.
- 1:09Speaker 5: But I think he's playing. But I agree with you.
- 1:11Speaker 5: I'm not ninety nine percent. I put it fifty one percent.
- 1:14Speaker 1: But the key word is, I think right, I think
- 1:16Speaker 1: we're all kind of what do we think? What do
- 1:18Speaker 1: we guess? What is it going to be? We don't know.
- 1:20Speaker 1: I think it legitimately comes down John too. You know
- 1:25Speaker 1: tomorrow he's warm up.
- 1:26Speaker 3: It might be a legitimate game time decision. I'm with you, guys.
- 1:29Speaker 3: So our first big thing, of course, is about Trevor.
- 1:31Speaker 3: So it's yes, no, maybe, So we'll have to find out. Obviously,
- 1:34Speaker 3: Trevor talked. He said he's gonna do everything he can
- 1:36Speaker 3: to get out there, but also we talked a little
- 1:38Speaker 3: bit about what it's like to play hurt and the
- 1:41Speaker 3: things you need to think about going forward.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Of course, this game is about toughness and it's about
- 1:48Speaker 2: at times playing through injuries. I think there's a I
- 1:52Speaker 2: mean it's but it's also you got to be smart
- 1:54Speaker 2: and you know the position that we're in and because
- 1:57Speaker 2: there's there's guys every week that have injuries and might
- 1:59Speaker 2: sit out, it might not, and you know they're looking
- 2:01Speaker 2: for the long haul of not just for themselves but
- 2:03Speaker 2: also for the team because you want you want your
- 2:05Speaker 2: guys to be healthy in crunch time this season, down
- 2:08Speaker 2: the stretch, you know. So, like I said, there's there's
- 2:11Speaker 2: a lot of questions that you have to answer. There's
- 2:12Speaker 2: not a right answer to any of them. I think
- 2:15Speaker 2: some guys are more conservative when it comes to injuries
- 2:17Speaker 2: and some guys are. Some guys play through more and
- 2:19Speaker 2: some guys don't. So it depends who you are, what
- 2:21Speaker 2: you're comfortable with. The biggest thing is you got to
- 2:24Speaker 2: feel confident going on that field, whether you decide to
- 2:26Speaker 2: play or not. You got to feel comfortable with what
- 2:29Speaker 2: you're doing and confident. You've got to go play because
- 2:31Speaker 2: you can't play this game hesitating at all. So I
- 2:33Speaker 2: think that's that's a question that obviously everyone asks themselves
- 2:35Speaker 2: when they're dealing with anything.
- 2:38Speaker 3: John Trevor certainly has that personality type. He wants to
- 2:40Speaker 3: play through something if he can play through it. But
- 2:42Speaker 3: there's also the fact that I think it's a little
- 2:44Speaker 3: more serious injury might be more of a concern, but
- 2:46Speaker 3: when it's gutting through it. He also talked about having
- 2:48Speaker 3: that confidence right, you need to be confident when you're
- 2:50Speaker 3: out there and he's playing with a bracelet practice the
- 2:52Speaker 3: other day, he said he wasn't quite sure about it.
- 2:54Speaker 3: How much of it will be him being comfortable with
- 2:56Speaker 3: the brace and with his limitations.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Well, I think it'll be ninety percent how he feels
- 3:02Speaker 4: on Thursday, and he was asked about this, and he
- 3:07Speaker 4: has to be honest with himself. It's a different thing
- 3:10Speaker 4: when a quarterback doesn't play compared to another position. It's
- 3:14Speaker 4: a vastly different thing. These guys take pride in it.
- 3:18Speaker 4: You know, it's your record as a starter, Brian, and
- 3:21Speaker 4: how many starts you have.
- 3:23Speaker 1: He's never missed.
- 3:24Speaker 5: Yeah, and he's never missed.
- 3:26Speaker 4: He's also really never played through anything like this, so
- 3:29Speaker 4: there is uncertainty. It's easy to say, well, he should
- 3:32Speaker 4: tough it out. Well, he's never done it, so he's
- 3:34Speaker 4: not quite sure what tough it out means versus what
- 3:37Speaker 4: injury risk is.
- 3:38Speaker 5: That's what he'll lean on the trainers for.
- 3:41Speaker 4: Again, I think he gives it a go, and I'm
- 3:43Speaker 4: fine with him giving it a go as long as
- 3:45Speaker 4: they don't think that that risks him getting more injured.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Let me present it this way. If it was a
- 3:50Speaker 1: December game in the division for the division title, would
- 3:54Speaker 1: he play, well? Yeah, absolutely, well, then he plays, But
- 3:57Speaker 1: the vacuum here is is it's the third game in
- 3:59Speaker 1: twelve days against a non conference, non division opponent. You know,
- 4:04Speaker 1: do we risk it? There's still more games on the
- 4:06Speaker 1: other side. Yeah, but you're not going fifteen to two.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I don't buy that argument. I think you have to
- 4:13Speaker 1: have a big picture look. And I can go back
- 4:15Speaker 1: to ninety seven with Mark Brunell who played through the
- 4:17Speaker 1: ACL and he was never the same. And I get
- 4:19Speaker 1: it different injury, but you have to have a long
- 4:22Speaker 1: term approach with your quarterback, which is what I think
- 4:25Speaker 1: need to be mixed in here.
- 4:27Speaker 3: And we have to remember there are injuries elsewhere on
- 4:29Speaker 3: this team as well, which could affect them for sure.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Big Easy is our second big thing of the day
- 4:34Speaker 3: because it's only a Big Easy. But it's not going
- 4:36Speaker 3: to be easy because it's hard to play in the
- 4:38Speaker 3: Supernome and it's hard to play on Thursday night football Done.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Talked a little bit about that earlier this week.
- 4:44Speaker 6: You know, we can't control the schedule, obviously, but I
- 4:49Speaker 6: honestly don't think our team really cares that much about
- 4:54Speaker 6: when and where and who we play. I mean, it's yes,
- 4:59Speaker 6: you're guaranteed a home game after you know, after the
- 5:02Speaker 6: London trip and all of that, which is great, but
- 5:06Speaker 6: after that, I mean, yeah, you just you go to
- 5:09Speaker 6: the next one. And I honestly believe that our players
- 5:14Speaker 6: really don't pay much attention to that, you know, nor
- 5:17Speaker 6: do we. I mean, it's it's uh, the schedule comes
- 5:20Speaker 6: out in May and we see it, and you know,
- 5:24Speaker 6: we're excited for it.
- 5:27Speaker 3: So Doug's never wants to make excuses when it comes
- 5:29Speaker 3: to the schedule, certainly. And the thing about Thursday football
- 5:32Speaker 3: affects both teams the same. They both in a short week,
- 5:34Speaker 3: and the Saints didn't played well last week, so.
- 5:35Speaker 5: It's hurt them too.
- 5:37Speaker 1: You know, there are some players in this league that
- 5:39Speaker 1: are very vocal about not liking the Thursday night game.
- 5:42Speaker 1: There are none of the rest of them just don't
- 5:44Speaker 1: like it, right right, There are none of those guys
- 5:47Speaker 1: in this locker room, because you know, I was in
- 5:48Speaker 1: there yesterday as you guys probably were, and they all
- 5:51Speaker 1: just have the mental attitude. We just got to go
- 5:52Speaker 1: power through it. The flip side is now we get
- 5:54Speaker 1: the mini by you get the weekend off and more
- 5:56Speaker 1: time to get ready for the Steelers. I don't think
- 5:58Speaker 1: anybody would choose it except they love the check. It
- 6:01Speaker 1: comes with a big check. It's a billion dollar deal,
- 6:04Speaker 1: so they're not going to see this thing go away.
- 6:07Speaker 1: But I don't get the sense, you know. I can
- 6:09Speaker 1: think of a couple of players in particular in different
- 6:12Speaker 1: markets where they really hate the Thursday night game and
- 6:14Speaker 1: every time their team has to play, they let everybody
- 6:17Speaker 1: know how much they don't like it. That hasn't been
- 6:19Speaker 1: the case this week. Talking to Evan ingram In particularly goes,
- 6:22Speaker 1: we just can't change it, Let's go play.
- 6:24Speaker 3: I think that's an interesting approach because they're never gonna
- 6:27Speaker 3: change it, and the amount that people complain about it.
- 6:29Speaker 7: Yes, it sucks, but it's not going anywhere.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Well, there's a couple of different factors here too. It's
- 6:36Speaker 4: really not the same for both teams. It's not the
- 6:37Speaker 4: same for the road team at all. It's a really
- 6:40Speaker 4: difficult situation for the road team compared to the home
- 6:43Speaker 4: team because of the day and the travel.
- 6:45Speaker 5: And then for the Jaguars this week there is.
- 6:46Speaker 4: A little bit of another factor. You're already kind of
- 6:49Speaker 4: beat up, and then you're going to plan on that turf,
- 6:51Speaker 4: which a couple players told me yesterday at Turf's tough.
- 6:54Speaker 5: I mean, it's hard on everybody they have to deal
- 6:58Speaker 5: with it.
- 7:00Speaker 4: I still think the Jaguars win, but I think this
- 7:03Speaker 4: is obvious, say logistically at a as tough as tests
- 7:06Speaker 4: as you're gonna face when you factor in London on
- 7:08Speaker 4: the front end.
- 7:10Speaker 5: It is.
- 7:10Speaker 3: And our final big thing today is gonna be think
- 7:12Speaker 3: takeaways because as we know, these Sursday night games, they
- 7:15Speaker 3: can get pretty ugly, pretty sloppy. So it's gonna be
- 7:17Speaker 3: defensive battle. And the defense has been the calling card
- 7:20Speaker 3: of this team. So for the season, they've made a
- 7:22Speaker 3: lot of takeaways so far and they're hoping to continue
- 7:24Speaker 3: that going forward.
- 7:26Speaker 8: I think, uh, it really just comes down to taking
- 7:30Speaker 8: advantage of your opportunity. We've been able to touch the
- 7:33Speaker 8: ball and guys that coming down with it. You know,
- 7:36Speaker 8: Josh had a strip sack wherever, you get a couple
- 7:38Speaker 8: of fumbles, So it's just being able to, you know,
- 7:40Speaker 8: take advantage of opportunities. We always talk about the numbers
- 7:44Speaker 8: favor us, so if we get more guys around the ball,
- 7:47Speaker 8: we have opportunity to take the ball away. So that's
- 7:49Speaker 8: what we try to do and we're doing a decent
- 7:51Speaker 8: job right now.
- 7:53Speaker 3: John dos this matchup look like one of those like
- 7:55Speaker 3: defensive kind of like low scoring situations to you or
- 7:58Speaker 3: how do you think it might play out?
- 8:00Speaker 5: You know it does, but I also didn't doing this
- 8:03Speaker 5: long enough as soon.
- 8:03Speaker 4: As I say that it's going to be one, but
- 8:07Speaker 4: it does. That's why both teams are playing right now.
- 8:10Speaker 4: And to me, if you're if this defense is what
- 8:15Speaker 4: I'm starting to think it is, which is a turnover
- 8:18Speaker 4: forcing defense that forces other teams to do things they
- 8:21Speaker 4: don't want to do, then I think you can win
- 8:23Speaker 4: this game.
- 8:23Speaker 5: I think you can win this game doing that. And
- 8:26Speaker 5: this is one where.
- 8:28Speaker 4: I think everybody's sort of come around now Brian to
- 8:31Speaker 4: talking about how good this defense is and how much
- 8:33Speaker 4: they force turnovers.
- 8:35Speaker 5: Well, this is sort of okay, Well we've said you're that,
- 8:38Speaker 5: go do it, Go do it.
- 8:39Speaker 4: Because the circumstances are tricky.
- 8:43Speaker 5: The X factor I think is Tyson Campbell be an out.
- 8:45Speaker 5: I don't like that at all. No.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Look, two weeks ago the Saints scored thirty four points
- 8:49Speaker 1: and blank the New England Patriots shut them out. That
- 8:52Speaker 1: doesn't happen to Bill Belichick, even on lesser talented teams
- 8:55Speaker 1: very often, so they can put points up because they've
- 8:58Speaker 1: got big receivers who can run. Chrys A Lovey can
- 9:00Speaker 1: get down the field. And without Monterrek Brown, you know,
- 9:03Speaker 1: the matchup with Michael Thomas is not it's not comforting.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Michael Pittman, who I think is an average guy. Uh,
- 9:09Speaker 1: you know, went for more than a hundred and mostly
- 9:11Speaker 1: because monterk wasn't ready. So there are some situations there.
- 9:14Speaker 1: But Derek Carr will turn the ball over. He'll give
- 9:16Speaker 1: it to you. And if this defense is going to
- 9:19Speaker 1: be opportunistic, this is a great night. You get a
- 9:21Speaker 1: takeaway or two, you win this ball game.
- 9:23Speaker 3: And I think if they do it early as well,
- 9:25Speaker 3: because Derek Carr has been having some issues with the
- 9:27Speaker 3: play calling over there. They're getting in some scuffles and whatnot,
- 9:29Speaker 3: So I think if we can get them in fighting early,
- 9:32Speaker 3: that might be very helpful. Stay with the Sierra on Jagsam.
- 9:35Speaker 3: We're going to do a little list.
- 9:35Speaker 7: Or that after the break, this this for that, we're back,
- 9:46Speaker 7: what's this or that?
- 9:47Speaker 3: This week?
- 9:48Speaker 1: I'm gon stay with the theme that I have. All Right,
- 9:51Speaker 1: it's a short week, there's not that many different storylines,
- 9:53Speaker 1: but let me let me present it a different way.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Press Taylor said the other day that it was going
- 9:59Speaker 1: to be a n eating of the minds. Right, it
- 10:01Speaker 1: would be the quarterbacks, the coach, the trainer, and they
- 10:04Speaker 1: would get together and decide. So my question is is
- 10:06Speaker 1: it Trevor's call or is it the coach's call? At
- 10:11Speaker 1: this point in his career, third season, has he earned
- 10:14Speaker 1: the right to make that call himself or do you
- 10:16Speaker 1: protect the quarterback? And of course we're assuming that it
- 10:19Speaker 1: isn't completely right. If it's completely right, then he plays
- 10:22Speaker 1: no doubt. But whose call is it?
- 10:24Speaker 3: I think it might be one of those injuries that
- 10:27Speaker 3: isn't so severe that they need to override him. I
- 10:30Speaker 3: think it might be if he wants to play, they'll
- 10:32Speaker 3: let him play. That's my intuition to how they've been
- 10:36Speaker 3: speaking on it.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Pat Mahomes got to make the call to go back
- 10:38Speaker 1: into the game in Kansas City in January because he's
- 10:41Speaker 1: Pat Mahomes and he's won a Super Bowl and now
- 10:43Speaker 1: he's won two. So it's just an interesting question because
- 10:46Speaker 1: at another point in his career, it's going to be
- 10:48Speaker 1: a more serious injury or a hamstring or something that
- 10:50Speaker 1: keeps him out right, and then it'll be about him
- 10:53Speaker 1: coming back. Has he earned the right to make that call.
- 10:55Speaker 4: I think Mahomes is a good example because Trevor's on
- 10:57Speaker 4: the sidelines watching that last year, and there is a
- 11:00Speaker 4: point with NFL quarterbacks where you need to be able to.
- 11:03Speaker 5: Do some version of that.
- 11:05Speaker 4: I'm not saying if he doesn't do it that he
- 11:07Speaker 4: doesn't have Pat Mahomes his guts, because some of it's
- 11:10Speaker 4: gonna be the trainer saying okay, or the trains and
- 11:14Speaker 4: doctors saying, okay, we're fine with you making this decision
- 11:19Speaker 4: medical right now. It's up to you. But to me,
- 11:22Speaker 4: if it gets to that point, he plays, I think
- 11:25Speaker 4: so if he's.
- 11:25Speaker 5: Okay to play, he's gonna play, and I think he
- 11:27Speaker 5: plays all right.
- 11:28Speaker 3: John winning that for this.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Or this or that I believe was I think it
- 11:33Speaker 4: was more important Traves Tan or Josh Allen and uh,
- 11:37Speaker 4: you know it's.
- 11:39Speaker 5: It's kind of a silly question because they're both important.
- 11:41Speaker 4: But I think tonight, because on on Thursday night, because
- 11:45Speaker 4: I'm not expecting huge points, I think Josh Allen and
- 11:50Speaker 4: collectively the defense are more important because this team needs
- 11:55Speaker 4: I think Josh to have one of those big play
- 11:58Speaker 4: Josh Allen moments in the first half set a tone.
- 12:01Speaker 4: What better start for this team than if he could
- 12:04Speaker 4: sack fumble by the quarterback, get some sort of ball
- 12:08Speaker 4: bouncing into the air that the Jaguars get, and then
- 12:11Speaker 4: all of a sudden they're on the sidelines found like,
- 12:12Speaker 4: oh okay, this is how this is our formut this
- 12:15Speaker 4: is how they say we could do it. We could
- 12:17Speaker 4: do it. So I think he can have more impact
- 12:20Speaker 4: unless Travis briks up.
- 12:21Speaker 5: A nine yard run.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I'll go with Alan because I think on offense,
- 12:25Speaker 1: if Travis Etn is bottled up, you know, there are
- 12:30Speaker 1: more options right on the defensive side. Right now, the
- 12:33Speaker 1: only pass rusher that they really have in terms of
- 12:35Speaker 1: getting to the quarterback is Josh. If Etn is bottled up,
- 12:40Speaker 1: you know, here comes Angram, here comes Christian Kirk, Calvin
- 12:43Speaker 1: Ridley can get off. But on the defensive side, it
- 12:46Speaker 1: still all comes down to number forty one making that play.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Maybe Trayvon becomes that guy, but we haven't seen that yet.
- 12:52Speaker 1: So I say, Alan, I'm gonna make a little prediction.
- 12:57Speaker 1: You're exactly right. I think third day night prime time. Uh,
- 13:03Speaker 1: some player aside from Josh makes that play.
- 13:06Speaker 5: We're talking about and it's sitting on the desk after
- 13:08Speaker 5: the game. Yeah, not y his.
- 13:12Speaker 3: The the game, if you will.
- 13:14Speaker 4: The hosts. That happens on those nights where all of
- 13:17Speaker 4: a sudden, some guy's a starr.
- 13:18Speaker 5: That you didn't expect. Maybe Smooter Smooter.
- 13:21Speaker 1: I go back, smooth Smooter friends with Smitter.
- 13:25Speaker 5: No, nobody's nickname basis we love it.
- 13:28Speaker 3: My this or that this week is if you could
- 13:31Speaker 3: choose or bigger win to you, would it be being
- 13:34Speaker 3: shorthanded finding a way to get a win on Thursday night?
- 13:36Speaker 5: Footballer?
- 13:37Speaker 3: Is the bigger win next week when you go to
- 13:39Speaker 3: the Steelers and you can have that win going into
- 13:40Speaker 3: the buy.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Well.
- 13:46Speaker 5: I always struggle with these because the win's a win,
- 13:48Speaker 5: and they all count the same.
- 13:49Speaker 4: In the NFL, can count a little bit more. Yeah,
- 13:53Speaker 4: I would say this is more impressive because you're gonna
- 13:57Speaker 4: have ten days of prayer for the Steelers.
- 13:59Speaker 5: I don't I don't know that the Steelers.
- 14:02Speaker 4: They're probably about the same team right now, the Steelers
- 14:04Speaker 4: of inconsistent, the Saints of inconsistent. So I would say circumstantially,
- 14:11Speaker 4: London Colts four days going over there on the road
- 14:15Speaker 4: on Thursday night and winning all those elements say you'll lose.
- 14:20Speaker 4: I think ten days before the Steelers says you win.
- 14:23Speaker 5: So I'd say.
- 14:23Speaker 4: Tonight would be more impressive.
- 14:26Speaker 5: I think fans and hate the Steelers historically would life
- 14:29Speaker 5: the other one better.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I always want to beat the Steelers always, and I
- 14:32Speaker 1: can remember there being some games, and one ninety eight
- 14:35Speaker 1: in particular, where the Jaguars were the better team and
- 14:37Speaker 1: Mark Brunel throw two pick sixes to Dwayne Washington at
- 14:40Speaker 1: the old three Rivers.
- 14:41Speaker 5: No.
- 14:41Speaker 1: No, always beating the Steelers. Plus it's an AFC.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Team, two tough road environments. So I'll take two wins,
- 14:47Speaker 3: but we'll see what we end up getting out of that.
- 14:49Speaker 3: Stay with us. We're gonna come right back after the
- 14:51Speaker 3: break and go over a little bit of he will,
- 14:53Speaker 3: he won't, he might, And me think we'll show out
- 14:55Speaker 3: in this game on Thursday. Looking now at he will,
- 15:04Speaker 3: he won't. He might present it to us by Sebeth
- 15:06Speaker 3: as we're looking at players at whirling at that might
- 15:09Speaker 3: play a big role on Thursday. Brian, you picked Evan
- 15:11Speaker 3: this week.
- 15:12Speaker 1: I'll go with Evan. I think Evan will be that
- 15:13Speaker 1: guy on on Thursday night in New Orleans. He will
- 15:17Speaker 1: have a really big game. You mentioned earlier that at
- 15:20Speaker 1: the quarterback, and we could try to make it easy
- 15:22Speaker 1: on him. That's seventeen. You know, he is that guy
- 15:24Speaker 1: who makes tough catches. He's always open, He'll be at
- 15:27Speaker 1: the chains. So I say he will become the go
- 15:30Speaker 1: to guy. He'll have the big night. He won't make
- 15:33Speaker 1: that you know, dramatic one handed catch every once in
- 15:35Speaker 1: a while, but when he.
- 15:36Speaker 5: Does everyone last week well, and I was talking.
- 15:40Speaker 1: To him about that. I said, when I look when
- 15:42Speaker 1: you looked at your hand, I wonder did you break
- 15:43Speaker 1: it because you wouldn't stop looking at it. He goes,
- 15:45Speaker 1: I was just amazed at it, and we were too.
- 15:48Speaker 1: I don't know that he'll have that kind of a catch,
- 15:51Speaker 1: but this might be a two touchdown game for him.
- 15:53Speaker 1: It might be that that game like he had in
- 15:57Speaker 1: in Nashville last year, when we have eleven catches, sixteen
- 16:00Speaker 1: targets and one hundred and sixty yards and two touchdowns.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I just see him becoming that guy that the quarterback
- 16:06Speaker 1: wants to get the ball to as quickly as possible.
- 16:08Speaker 1: I think the Saints are going to stack the line
- 16:10Speaker 1: of scrimmage. They're big bodies inside there's not that Josh
- 16:14Speaker 1: Allen kind of pass rusher. You know, Cam Jordan's an
- 16:17Speaker 1: aging player. I think they'll be very effective against the run,
- 16:20Speaker 1: and I think it's going to open things up for somebody.
- 16:22Speaker 1: And I think that somebody's Ingram.
- 16:23Speaker 5: Yeah, I think you haven't has two touchdowns. I think
- 16:25Speaker 5: they win the game, I say comfortably, but I think
- 16:28Speaker 5: they'll win the game. So good one. That's one I
- 16:31Speaker 5: was gonna do. And then Ky told me because I
- 16:35Speaker 5: think Evan everything broke up yesterday.
- 16:38Speaker 4: I was talking to him and he said he he
- 16:41Speaker 4: couldn't believe how good he felt going into a Thursday game,
- 16:43Speaker 4: by the way, and he said there's been games on
- 16:45Speaker 4: Thursday where he felt like, you know, walking out the
- 16:49Speaker 4: previous Sunday. He wasn't gonna make the game much different
- 16:52Speaker 4: this week.
- 16:52Speaker 1: So he's the guy that told me in the locker
- 16:54Speaker 1: room yesterday, why even waste a minute thinking about what
- 16:58Speaker 1: could be playing on Sunday. Instead, We've got to go play,
- 17:00Speaker 1: so we might as well have a good attitude about it.
- 17:02Speaker 3: See I'm the opposite, I believe.
- 17:07Speaker 5: Who's watching his broad I went with Trayvon Walker.
- 17:12Speaker 4: He will play well because he always plays well. He's
- 17:16Speaker 4: played well every game so far this year, and there's
- 17:19Speaker 4: no reason to think what they asked him to do
- 17:22Speaker 4: he's gonna come off of that. He might be the
- 17:25Speaker 4: most consistently good player in the defense right now outside
- 17:27Speaker 4: of Tyson Campbell. And it includes Josh Allen who has
- 17:31Speaker 4: big plays, but Trayvon's playing really well. He won't have
- 17:34Speaker 4: a big sack night because I don't think he's gonna
- 17:36Speaker 4: be a big sack guy in his career. So I'm
- 17:38Speaker 4: gonna stop framing my conversation about Trayvon like that. He
- 17:42Speaker 4: might be the most underappreciated, over criticized guy on this
- 17:45Speaker 4: team right now.
- 17:47Speaker 5: I get the whole draft thing.
- 17:49Speaker 7: To me.
- 17:50Speaker 4: There's three guys I want on the field for the
- 17:52Speaker 4: Jaguars on defense. It's Trayvon Walker, Josh Allen, and is
- 17:55Speaker 4: Tyson Campbell. And they're all uber important, and I don't
- 18:00Speaker 4: know how they replace any three of any of those
- 18:02Speaker 4: three guys if they're off the field. For that reason,
- 18:05Speaker 4: I'm worried about cornerback this week, But Josh Allen and
- 18:10Speaker 4: Trayvon Walker are the reason that, or not the only reason.
- 18:14Speaker 4: They're huge reasons why this team's third in the NFL
- 18:18Speaker 4: in rushing defense, why they have so many takeaways, They
- 18:21Speaker 4: are really stout up front. Those two guys are big
- 18:24Speaker 4: reasons why.
- 18:24Speaker 1: You know, going back and watching the tape, He's not
- 18:27Speaker 1: that Josh Allen edge rusher. He just doesn't get there.
- 18:31Speaker 1: But on the sack.
- 18:32Speaker 5: That he did, dominate against the run.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Dominant against the run, I mean he takes and jacks
- 18:36Speaker 1: up that right tackle and the tight end. If you
- 18:39Speaker 1: go back and watch the Bills game. But last week
- 18:40Speaker 1: against the Colts, Johnny re member, he came off that
- 18:43Speaker 1: left edge of the defense and screamed over the center.
- 18:46Speaker 1: I mean, he's such a powerful inside rusher. I wonder
- 18:51Speaker 1: if his hand on the ground more often lined up
- 18:53Speaker 1: as a big end, as a Kalais Campbell kind of end,
- 18:57Speaker 1: might not be where his best.
- 19:00Speaker 5: Then they eventually get to I mean, they've got a.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Plan, and I'm not trying to be a defensive mind.
- 19:04Speaker 1: I just see the inside rush with him and think
- 19:07Speaker 1: he does that better. And yet everybody looks at him
- 19:10Speaker 1: and says, well, why is he not rushing the bowl
- 19:11Speaker 1: like the edge rushers that we see because he's not
- 19:15Speaker 1: an edge rush.
- 19:16Speaker 4: If you like this team being good on defense, He's
- 19:18Speaker 4: a big reason you don't want him.
- 19:20Speaker 5: Off the field.
- 19:20Speaker 3: I love to see it to see that from Freybon.
- 19:23Speaker 3: I went defense for my pick as well. I picked
- 19:26Speaker 3: Devin Lloyd because he missed those two games. I think
- 19:28Speaker 3: he will be a big part of this win because
- 19:32Speaker 3: it's going to be defensive if they get a win
- 19:33Speaker 3: on Thursday Night football, so he'll be a big part
- 19:35Speaker 3: of it. He missed those two games after he had
- 19:37Speaker 3: hand surgery, but he came back in this last game
- 19:40Speaker 3: against the Colts and he showed out really well. He
- 19:42Speaker 3: had a dropped interception, so I will say he won't
- 19:45Speaker 3: have an interception because of that cast on his hand.
- 19:47Speaker 3: He is playing very well, so I don't think that'll
- 19:50Speaker 3: slow him down. He might be able to force a fumble,
- 19:52Speaker 3: throw the cast in there and knock something out. Unfortunately,
- 19:55Speaker 3: I don't think his interception time is coming right now.
- 19:57Speaker 3: Until he can get the cast off from his hand,
- 19:59Speaker 3: I think he might.
- 20:00Speaker 4: I think sitting on the desk, he's the game, uh,
- 20:05Speaker 4: because he's always.
- 20:07Speaker 5: Around the ball.
- 20:08Speaker 1: That's the guy they drafted, the guy who was the
- 20:10Speaker 1: Associated Press College Player of the Year at Utah. And
- 20:13Speaker 1: the reason I bring that up is is all those
- 20:15Speaker 1: great defensive players at Georgia and Alabama that year were not.
- 20:18Speaker 1: He was eight sacks, a couple of interceptions, forced fumbles,
- 20:22Speaker 1: fumbles recovered. Even with the cast, he was where he
- 20:25Speaker 1: needed to be. I think that's a great choice. And
- 20:27Speaker 1: you know, we talked about Trayvon Walker playing well. I
- 20:30Speaker 1: won't be surprised if in a month we're not talking
- 20:31Speaker 1: about Devin Lloyd playing at a very high level.
- 20:34Speaker 5: Also, well, it's not.
- 20:35Speaker 4: They're both playing well and it's not coincidental. You drafted
- 20:38Speaker 4: them in the first round last year, second year this.
- 20:42Speaker 5: Year, and be the reason you're a good defense last.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Year, especially after the first month, I don't know that
- 20:49Speaker 1: he would have been in the position to intercept those balls,
- 20:52Speaker 1: let alone pull it in right. The game is much
- 20:55Speaker 1: slower for him. He focused on that, He was very
- 20:57Speaker 1: mindful in the offseason, called it down and he's impressive.
- 21:02Speaker 1: And I think before this year is over, we'll be
- 21:04Speaker 1: talking about this two first dround picks stepping up in
- 21:06Speaker 1: their second year.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Absolutely, all right, stay with us, we'll have our previews
- 21:09Speaker 3: for the weekend. A little bit of sneak peek of
- 21:11Speaker 3: miked up for ten years, Dreamfinders' Homes has been proud

- 21:41Speaker 2: I've pumped the hit. You're like wide open this first play,
- 21:45Speaker 2: we don't need it, but later on we're gonna hit that. Hey,
- 21:48Speaker 2: lock back here, baby, let's go back down, let's go.
- 21:51Speaker 2: We'll play we Gondy.
- 21:54Speaker 5: Forever drops blogs fires deep downfield. Got a man that's
- 21:58Speaker 5: Christians kirkside conject about.
- 22:03Speaker 1: I told you, I told you, I told you, let's go,
- 22:11Speaker 1: let's go.
- 22:14Speaker 3: I knew it. Yeah, sixteen this week miked up. And
- 22:26Speaker 3: we know his trash talk isn't the best, but it
- 22:28Speaker 3: is nice to hear how he organizes the offense.
- 22:30Speaker 1: If he wanted trash talk lessons, who would he go
- 22:34Speaker 1: to in the locker room? I don't know who's the
- 22:36Speaker 1: best trash talker on the team.
- 22:39Speaker 5: Racial Oh and uh and just like Cam.
- 22:43Speaker 4: With Cam, it's almost like it's almost not trash talk.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Yeah with him, Okay, Ray show is probably a good call.
- 22:52Speaker 1: He probably can talk it.
- 22:54Speaker 3: I don't know. Trevor's just he's very sweet and I
- 22:56Speaker 3: think that's just his demeanor. I don't think he can.
- 22:58Speaker 4: Do it, can pull it out every now and then
- 23:01Speaker 4: when it has to, not constantly it's written.
- 23:03Speaker 5: But yeah, I'll bet he can talk as well.
- 23:07Speaker 3: All right, coming up Thursday night? What do we think
- 23:09Speaker 3: You think the chicks can pull it out on Thursday
- 23:11Speaker 3: night football?
- 23:12Speaker 4: Yes, I do, and it almost feels a little bit
- 23:17Speaker 4: like a house money game.
- 23:20Speaker 5: If they win, I'm really impressed.
- 23:21Speaker 4: With him because it's a hard game to go win.
- 23:24Speaker 4: Doug Peterson, I don't think he's ever lost on Thursday.
- 23:26Speaker 5: Night, So.
- 23:30Speaker 4: If that's wrong, I bought it. That's my understanding. If
- 23:34Speaker 4: they win, it's an impressive, impressive win. If they don't,
- 23:37Speaker 4: it's not at the end of the world. But then
- 23:38Speaker 4: all of a sudden, you gotta come back and win
- 23:39Speaker 4: the next week.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Look, I'm leaning with you, guys. I mean, I think
- 23:42Speaker 1: he's probably going to play. That's just a gut feeling.
- 23:45Speaker 1: But even if he doesn't, you look at what the
- 23:48Speaker 1: Browns were able to do against the Niners with the
- 23:50Speaker 1: backup quarterback right, the rest of the team stepped up.
- 23:53Speaker 1: The running game was really good, the defense was dominant.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Same thing with the Jets. They played Jalen Hurts and
- 23:58Speaker 1: AJ Brown in that passing offense. Philly without Sauce Gardner
- 24:01Speaker 1: and DJ Reid and the rest of them stepped up.
- 24:04Speaker 1: This team is talented enough that the rest of the
- 24:07Speaker 1: team can step up and you can go beat the
- 24:09Speaker 1: Saints on a Thursday.
- 24:10Speaker 4: Night And I don't think they could have won this
- 24:14Speaker 4: in Week four, No, but I think the way they're
- 24:17Speaker 4: playing now, they understand what's being asked of them and
- 24:21Speaker 4: they're confident in it.
- 24:21Speaker 5: So I think they can. And if they don't, I'm
- 24:24Speaker 5: not that worried about it.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Thursdays are weird. Let's hope it happens. We hope all
- 24:28Speaker 3: of our viewers enjoy Thursday night football, and of course
- 24:30Speaker 3: the weekend off as well. I'll be covered on game
- 24:33Speaker 3: day and we'll be back here on Jagsam on Monday
