- 0:47Speaker 1: Welcome to today's edition of Reflection on the Word with
- 0:50Speaker 1: Richard K. I'm Chuck Christie, and today we are asking
- 0:54Speaker 1: you to spend a few moments of your time with
- 0:56Speaker 1: us each day as Richard shares from God's work with notes, quotes,
- 0:59Speaker 1: and stores, along with some of his own personal experiences,
- 1:02Speaker 1: to confirm for you God's great love for us, that
- 1:05Speaker 1: his compassion for us never fails, and that he has
- 1:08Speaker 1: a great faithfulness toward us in every regard. In Lamentations
- 1:12Speaker 1: Chapter three, verses twenty two and twenty three, we read,
- 1:16Speaker 1: because of the Lord's great love, we are not consumed,
- 1:20Speaker 1: for his compassions never failed. They are new every morning.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Great is your faithfulness. Now, if you miss a portion
- 1:27Speaker 1: of today's broadcast or would like to recommend it to
- 1:29Speaker 1: a friend, you can hear this program anytime online at
- 1:33Speaker 1: Talknetwork Radio dot com. Well, now here's Richard with today's reflection.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Until Jesus came, there were only those who were victims.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Now we are more than conquerors for Him that loves
- 1:51Speaker 2: us Romans eight thirty seven. Today's reflection is entitled are
- 1:58Speaker 2: we victims or victim? The gospel message is defined as
- 2:03Speaker 2: good news, But why for someone who is suffering from
- 2:08Speaker 2: the sin in his or her life to realize forgiveness.
- 2:14Speaker 2: That's good news. For someone who's suffering from the sickness
- 2:18Speaker 2: in their life to realize healing, that good news. For
- 2:23Speaker 2: someone who's suffering from demonic influence in his or her life,
- 2:27Speaker 2: to realize deliverance, that's good news. For someone who is
- 2:33Speaker 2: suffering from blindness in their life physically and spiritually, to
- 2:38Speaker 2: receive their sight. That's good news. For someone who is
- 2:43Speaker 2: suffering from the bondage of imprisonment to realize freedom, that's
- 2:50Speaker 2: good news. When John the Baptist was in need of
- 2:54Speaker 2: assurance that Jesus was the Messiah, the Christ, he sent
- 2:58Speaker 2: his disciples to inquire of Jesus. Then Jesus, answering them,
- 3:03Speaker 2: said under them, go your way, and tell John what
- 3:08Speaker 2: things you've seen and heard, How that the blind see,
- 3:12Speaker 2: the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the death here
- 3:16Speaker 2: the dead or raised, and the poor received the good
- 3:22Speaker 2: news of the Gospel. Luke seven twenty two. Are we
- 3:30Speaker 2: victorious followers of our Lord and Savior. The darkness of
- 3:35Speaker 2: sin made victims of the pride of God's creation. Jesus
- 3:42Speaker 2: came to manifest the light of God in the midst
- 3:46Speaker 2: of the world's darkness. Now he says that we are
- 3:51Speaker 2: the light of the world because we are the image
- 3:55Speaker 2: of God and in him is no darkness. Jesus said
- 4:01Speaker 2: his mission on earth was to destroy the works of
- 4:06Speaker 2: the devil First John three eight.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Richard will be right back in a moment to wrap up.

- 4:51Speaker 1: and printed by Discovery House Publishers. Again, here is Richard
- 4:55Speaker 1: to wrap up today's message.
- 4:59Speaker 2: It's in the amazing thing. The Hebrew meaning for salvation
- 5:06Speaker 2: is more than forgiveness. It is healing, deliverance, freedom, provision, wealth,
- 5:14Speaker 2: and holiness. David wrote in Psalms fifty one, verses ten
- 5:20Speaker 2: through twelve, create in me a clean heart, O God,
- 5:25Speaker 2: and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not
- 5:30Speaker 2: away from thy presence, and take not the Holy Spirit
- 5:35Speaker 2: from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation,
- 5:42Speaker 2: and uphold me with thy free spirit. Until Jesus came,
- 5:50Speaker 2: there were only those who were victims. Now you and
- 5:55Speaker 2: I we who are his followers, We are more than
- 6:03Speaker 2: conquerors through Him that loves us Romans eight thirty seven.
- 6:11Speaker 2: And that is today's reflection on the Word.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Thank you, Richard. Join us again tomorrow when we continue
