And he who swears by heaven, swears by the throne of God and by Him who sits on it. Matthew 23:22
“And the ‘having sworn in the heaven’, he swears in the ‘throne, the God’ and in the ‘sitting atop it’.” (CG)
In the previous verse, Jesus told the people that he who swears by the temple swears by it and all that is atop it. He next says, “And the ‘having sworn in the heaven’.”
