- 0:33How you doing? Got a little bit of a lag?
- 0:37Here we are, we're back. ABJ podcast.
- 0:40Let's get a little bit of the housekeeping out of the way to
- 0:42start everything off your first time.
- 0:44Welcome if you've been here before, welcome back links below
- 0:48for myself and my guests. You can follow both of us on the
- 0:51links. I believe it's just their
- 0:52Instagram for now, but if they give me more, I'll link them
- 0:55down below. I'll bring them in one moment,
- 0:57but follow me on all social media as well as check out the
- 1:01merchandise links and everything else going on.
- 1:03This is live currently on Facebook, YouTube on the ABJ,
- 1:08the ABJ podcast at the high tension network page, as well as
- 1:11Twitch. So if you guys are on any of
- 1:13those platforms, go check them out.
- 1:14We usually try to go live every Tuesday for interviews or some
- 1:17some type of podcast content. And then we do usually Mondays,
- 1:21Wednesdays and sometimes Fridays, but always pay per
- 1:24views unless I'm I'm booked for a show.
- 1:26So there's always stuff going on here with live streams and
- 1:28Hangouts and it's a little bit of variety show with interviews,
- 1:30pro wrestling, pop culture, horror movies.
- 1:33Like I said, it's got a lot. But yeah, links below for all of
- 1:37that as well as merchandise if you want to get some ABJ merch
- 1:41and that's pretty much all I got when it comes to the Internet
- 1:43can shaking. There is a new feature when it
- 1:46comes to YouTube. It's called hype.
- 1:49When you watch videos on YouTube, you earn XP.
- 1:51Those XP cost you nothing to earn, but you can use that XP 3
- 1:56* a month or three times a week to boost up videos on YouTube.
- 2:00That helps smaller creators under a certain threshold.
- 2:03If you use those high points, it puts those content creators in
- 2:06higher groups and makes it chat more visible in the YouTube
- 2:10audience for other people to see smaller creators.
- 2:12So if you are earning that XP and if you can't help by hitting
- 2:15the hype videos on anything on this channel or your favorite
- 2:18channels on YouTube, please do that because it helps us out
- 2:20tremendously and not many people are aware of this brand new
- 2:23feature. That's pretty much all I got
- 2:25when it comes to the housekeeping.
- 2:27Let's bring in our guests and have some fun here tonight.
- 2:30What's going on my guy? They don't.
- 2:33The left hand man. I was going to say your last
- 2:36name, but I would have butchered it and I didn't even give it a
- 2:38shot. So it's Giordano.
- 2:41Giordano I. Don't know why everyone keeps.
- 2:45I think it's because I have it in my Instagram bio.
- 2:48That's 100% why I put it there you.
- 2:51You are not the first person who have who has done that thus far.
- 2:54I always go to the, I go to the Instagram.
- 2:57I say OK, this looks like a worker page and whatever they
- 2:59put there they're OK with. Yes, fair enough.
- 3:03So I mean, it's cool, you know, but shoot wise, that's my shoot
- 3:08last name, so. It's good.
- 3:10All right. Well, now docs them.
- 3:11No, I'm joking. Yeah.
- 3:14Now you got to pay extra just for the.
- 3:16Yeah, just for this cute last name.
- 3:17You got to pay extra, Yeah. Yeah, well now you got to fix
- 3:19it. You got to put left hand man
- 3:21Vincenzo and then get rid of the last name of course.
- 3:23Yeah, maybe maybe, you know, maybe that's, that's how I
- 3:26upcharge, you know, that's how I oversell it, you know?
- 3:28Got you. All right, all right.
- 3:30But we have met at PPWI. Always look forward to seeing
- 3:34you at shows. Very very friendly.
- 3:37One of my favorite 5 questions. You're supposed to be the return
- 3:40guest for this podcast, but you don't.
- 3:42Check your DMSI. Listen, they get flooded a lot,
- 3:45you know. All the girls up in there.
- 3:48No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I don't.
- 3:50I don't play that way, you know. I don't want to get you in.
- 3:53Trouble. But you're always constantly
- 3:56blocking them, is what you're doing.
- 3:58Correct. Or they just get flooded with
- 4:0018,000,000 shares and things getting sent into.
- 4:04So it was just, you know, the whole new share feature,
- 4:07somebody shares your posts, you get.
- 4:08Oh yeah, yeah. I, I personally love that.
- 4:10I think it's such a good way to get more audience on your posts
- 4:13because it, it shows your audience, their audience.
- 4:15It helps so much with promos for backstage at PPW.
- 4:19It's been helping me grow tremendously.
- 4:22So tell us about ourselves, about about yourself, and what
- 4:24do. You do.
- 4:28I'm a man of many talents in the ring, out the ring.
- 4:35Definitely my main two things is wrestling and magic and also
- 4:40music. But we could get into the music
- 4:42part later since that's not been actively in my life, you know,
- 4:47these past few years. But definitely wrestling and
- 4:50magic is like what I do. That's what I try to base my
- 4:55brand off of, is those two things.
- 4:58Magic has been just in my life as long as wrestling has been
- 5:01since I've been nine years old. You.
- 5:03Know interesting. Have you met Nate at the shows
- 5:06and talked magic with him? Nate.
- 5:08Who's Nate? Which one is?
- 5:09Nate Nate was the guy that was helping with the backstage
- 5:11camera stuff with me on backstage.
- 5:13He does the Switcher every now and then and he also helped with
- 5:16the 50 he was backstage. He's that.
- 5:18He's Nate Heater, the magician. He's like a big St. magician.
- 5:22I I'm very horrible with names. So Nate, if you're watching all
- 5:27all do apologies. I'm I got to link you up?
- 5:29I don't. Know if it's CTE or what it is,
- 5:32but who knows, you know? Yeah, next show I'm gonna.
- 5:34I'm gonna I'm good with the faces.
- 5:36I'm good with the faces. Like even the books I could
- 5:39read. But I like the pictures better,
- 5:40you know? Yeah, yeah, the pop up ones are
- 5:42the best ones. Oh, of course, all those are my
- 5:44favorite. Yeah, so magic music and pro
- 5:47wrestling. Indeed.
- 5:50And making money, that's and making money.
- 5:53Let's be straight, you know I'm I'm the money collector when it
- 5:57comes to the family. I I wish I can make more money.
- 6:00That's my problem. I I have not been motivated by
- 6:03money just because I didn't have it a lot growing up.
- 6:04And then when I need it, I don't know how to like, hey, I'm worth
- 6:08more. So I just kind of just keep
- 6:10going. I'm like, they're just going to
- 6:11see it and I'm going to get it and it never happens.
- 6:15Fair enough. Yeah, I'm not aggressive enough,
- 6:17I think when it comes to making, when it comes to making the
- 6:20money. But I even like the beginning
- 6:23when I have to say like, hey, I have merchandise for sale.
- 6:25I fuck, I hate it. I get like a gross knot in my
- 6:28stomach and I'm like, I don't want to talk about it.
- 6:30I get like D and always Sunny or just gets uncomfortable.
- 6:33She wants to puke. That's me when it comes to
- 6:35talking money. So when did you fall in love
- 6:38with professional wrestling? And, and I mean if you want to
- 6:41throw magic in there as well, like well.
- 6:44Pro wrestling was definitely way before Magic, so my first memory
- 6:49of pro wrestling was I don't even know how old I was.
- 6:51I must have been at least two. I remember Triple H smashing
- 6:56Goldberg in the head with the sledgehammer.
- 6:59I believe that was an Elimination Chamber match in
- 7:01whatever year was. Your family.
- 7:03A big wrestling family. Oh 1000% like my grandfather
- 7:07used to watch WWWF back in the day.
- 7:10Like I remember before he, like before he passed, I remember
- 7:13being able to talk to him about wrestling, you know, so that was
- 7:16always cool to pick his brain and stuff.
- 7:19My mother was a big wrestling fan, my father basically.
- 7:23We, we grew up watching it, you know, it was always in the
- 7:25household. When I always ask what what got
- 7:28you into wrestling and they tell me their wrestling moment, it
- 7:31ages them like you could tell what era they were.
- 7:34And I'm just like, Oh my goodness.
- 7:36At that point in time, I'm like already this age, like because
- 7:39I'm a little bit older. Wow, that's crazy.
- 7:42I think my first bread memory is like watching the Rockers
- 7:45together before the Shawn split. Yeah, I was.
- 7:47I've been watching a pretty long time.
- 7:52Yeah, so, I mean, it was always that, you know, it was always
- 7:54around in our house. And then also my older brother,
- 7:58anything he did, I did, you know, so I remember being nine
- 8:02years old, him and his friends, they were all older than me.
- 8:05They'd started in the backyard. So we'd also just be in the
- 8:09backyard beating the crap out of each other, not knowing what
- 8:12we're doing, you know, like just for shifts and giggles.
- 8:16What's the age difference between you 2?
- 8:19He was born in 93, I was born in 99, so 6 years.
- 8:23OK, OK. I have a big age gap between me
- 8:25and my brother as well. We're 11.
- 8:27OK, gosh. I think it's a different way of
- 8:30growing up when you have more than a five year gap between you
- 8:32and a sibling. Oh for sure I I agree with that
- 8:371000% like so even my sister like me and her are like best
- 8:43friends you know like this. She's older than me too, but
- 8:46she's younger than my brother. OK.
- 8:47So there's a little closer gap. Yeah, she was born in 95 S Me
- 8:51and her are four years apart. Are you the baby?
- 8:53I am oh. The baby Italian in the family,
- 8:57you, you are pretty much Jesus right?
- 9:00Like you can do no wrong. Apparently.
- 9:03I mean, I don't know, you know, who knows?
- 9:06All I know is that I don't know, you know?
- 9:09You don't know what everybody else knows.
- 9:10I bet you have one of your family in here.
- 9:12Like you're got your right. You could have burned the house
- 9:15down and got away with it. Are you the biggest one too,
- 9:20right? That's that's how it works.
- 9:23Yeah me and my brother are like very close in height but he he
- 9:27claims we're the same height or he's taller than me.
- 9:29That is not the case. My ID says different, my ID says
- 9:33I'm 6/4 which I am 6/4 and his ID says 63 so.
- 9:38You got him. But he he still thinks he's
- 9:42taller than me because he he likes to acclaim because he
- 9:45slouches a lot. But.
- 9:46OK, he has a bad back. Yes, exactly.
- 9:49He has. He has to carry the family
- 9:50through, you know, through a lot of hard times.
- 9:53So yes, he hasn't that bad. So coming from an Italian side,
- 9:57I have an Italian side and an Irish side.
- 9:58We, we have, I'm a weird, weird mix, but we heritage wise, we
- 10:03have a little bit of English and German and it's in there as
- 10:05well. But when it comes to when it
- 10:08comes to the growing up, once I was very Irish, once I was very
- 10:10Italian, my Italian side. Now I I want to ask for you, if
- 10:14you're similar to me, do you have a lot of family members,
- 10:17cousins, whatever, all with the same name?
- 10:22Not really, No, Really. OK, there's a few Josephs.
- 10:25There's a few like and and Mary's and, you know, like, but
- 10:31other than that, no, not really. I mean, mine's a weird one.
- 10:35Even family, but like I'm the only I'm the only Vincenzo.
- 10:39Like OK. I, I broke the mold.
- 10:42I was, I was an Anthony, but all of my cousins for the most part
- 10:46were Steven because the like the, I don't want to say the
- 10:48dawn, but the respected grandfather, a great
- 10:51grandfather, like everyone has to put his name and every kids
- 10:54name, you know what I mean? So I have like 475 cousins
- 10:57Stevens, you know what I mean? Like, oh, that's Steven and
- 11:00that's Steven. And there's Steven over there.
- 11:02Like my middle name's Steven, but I, I there, my gram's like,
- 11:06no, we're going to take a break from this.
- 11:07He'll middle name Steven. First name my gram made me.
- 11:10My parents had no choice. I got you.
- 11:13Yeah. Well, like in the neighborhood.
- 11:15Yes. There's a million Vinnies in the
- 11:17neighborhood. So we got Vinnie Smokes, We got
- 11:22Vinnie's Vinnie Squash. We got Vinnie Swift's Vinnie
- 11:28Sails because he likes boats. So he, you know, we call him
- 11:30Vinnie Sails. Spent two times and he says
- 11:33everything twice. Do you have any snaps?
- 11:35Any snaps? I like that.
- 11:37I like that. Everything with the hands, with
- 11:39you, magics fingers. Every.
- 11:41All right, all right. So I snapped bones, ligaments
- 11:46and also after I hand after a handshake I snapped so.
- 11:50All right. When, what, what?
- 11:52What area of New York did you grow up in?
- 11:53I don't want to put too much out there, but like, what?
- 11:55What, What? The Bronx?
- 11:57The Bronx? So you're a Bronx tail?
- 12:01Even though Goodfellas is my I, I prefer Goodfellas over
- 12:04Bronxdale, but Bronxdale is still a.
- 12:06Tremendous. Great movie.
- 12:07Great movie, Yeah. Yeah, so I grew up in the Bronx.
- 12:10Like we moved around a lot. Like when people ask me where in
- 12:13the Bronx, I legit say everywhere.
- 12:15Like we lived in every portion of the Bronx except Riverdale.
- 12:20But to me, Riverdale is not the Bronx.
- 12:22It's just northern Manhattan like so but yeah, obviously like
- 12:29pub, like going to public school and stuff was always in a
- 12:33certain part Pelham Bay, you know, Pelham Bay, part of the
- 12:37Bronx. So that's like when my
- 12:39grandmother had her house, you know, my great aunt and great
- 12:42uncle, they, they lived on like in drugs neck and all that kind
- 12:45of stuff. So.
- 12:47So growing up, were you in like more of like a diverse school or
- 12:50was it very just like Italian based?
- 12:52Like what? Was there a lot of different
- 12:53culture? Oh, yeah, definitely a lot of
- 12:55different culture. I went to school with, you know,
- 12:58it was a great mix of everything, you know?
- 13:02Yeah, I wouldn't. I love the school that we, that
- 13:05I was able to be in, you know, like my elementary and middle
- 13:09school was crazy, like in a good way.
- 13:12And then I was the bad, you know, I was the bad way while I
- 13:15was crazy. What kind of what kind of kid
- 13:18were you growing up? What were you?
- 13:18Into same thing, magic and wrestling.
- 13:23Yep. No sports, nothing.
- 13:26Of course. And sports, of course, play
- 13:29basketball, baseball, What else? We did handball a lot.
- 13:34Handball's a big New York thing. Everyone in New York plays
- 13:37handball. 1000%. Or stickball.
- 13:39Stickball's another one everyone plays.
- 13:41But now stickball, that's what they used to play back in the
- 13:44day in like the 60s to 80s, you know, And then now me at my and
- 13:50my generation, we had the Wiffle ball.
- 13:53The wiffle ball bat came with the, the, the, the plastic white
- 13:57ball. And we played that.
- 13:58But I remember when we lived on Decatur in 199 near the
- 14:02Botanical Gardens, that's what all of us would play.
- 14:05Outside is stickball, you know? So, yeah.
- 14:09They've ever watched the professional wiffle ball league,
- 14:11like they play in a base in like someone's yard and they have it
- 14:14like they have like a professional camera set up and
- 14:16they have this whole league. And then you have like the the
- 14:19batter like this, the blacks and you hit, if you hit it at the
- 14:21strike or an instant out, it's wild.
- 14:24They have a professional stickball league in Dyke really
- 14:28in in Dykeman in that part of the Bronx and it it's amazing.
- 14:33Like they legit where when was it?
- 14:36It was, I want to say maybe last month, I was driving down to one
- 14:41of the shows, most likely Battlefield.
- 14:44I was driving down to Battlefield and I decided to get
- 14:47off the highway to avoid traffic yet not knowing there's a whole
- 14:52block party going on. And part of that block party,
- 14:55they had their stickball league going on and it was just amazing
- 15:00to watch, you know? So it's awesome.
- 15:02Lily is confused on what stickball is.
- 15:04I know you're pretty much it's not.
- 15:05It's like baseball, but instead of a bat, you're playing with
- 15:07essentially a stick and and it's like.
- 15:11A mop stick, any any kind of stick like that.
- 15:14Is a rubber ball or is it just like a regular like I guess a
- 15:17wiffle ball? So now here's the the inside.
- 15:23We used to use anything. Normally it would be a handball,
- 15:27a rubber handball, or if you didn't have money for that, you
- 15:32can either ball up a ball of tape like duct tape and use
- 15:38that, or we used to do the rubber band balls as well.
- 15:43Yeah. And like, the harder you hit it,
- 15:45the more likely you're probably, you have to like just make
- 15:47contact because if you try to kill it, you're probably just
- 15:49going to pop it up. And if you're not going to,
- 15:51you're not going to get as much on it.
- 15:52Like there's a strategy to it. Oh, 1000%.
- 15:55You know how many handballs we lost roofing them?
- 15:58Yeah, roofing them. Meaning like they we'd hit it
- 16:01and it'd get stuck on the roof and later in the day or right
- 16:05before the sun would go down, we'd have to climb up the out
- 16:07the window, up the fire escape just to collect all of them.
- 16:11And, and literally essentially they're played in the middle of
- 16:13the street. Like it's baseball in the middle
- 16:15of the street. Like you just like, OK, that car
- 16:17is first base, that second, that car is third and home is back
- 16:20here and you're just playing and you got to like chase the ball
- 16:23down underneath cars. You know, it's like an obstacle
- 16:26course in baseball, Yeah. Oh, 1000%.
- 16:30I also used to play hockey as well in Waterbury Park.
- 16:33I remember not ice hockey, it was roller hockey.
- 16:39But that was just like, basically, if you didn't have
- 16:42anything to do when you were a kid, you could go there and
- 16:44coach Robert, he actually looked out for a lot of kids in the
- 16:47neighborhood, you know, to keep them, keep them on the street
- 16:50and narrow and all that kind of stuff.
- 16:51So shout out to. So when did you start to pursue
- 16:55your industry? When you're like, OK, I'm, I'm
- 16:57going to, I really want to look into pro wrestling.
- 16:58I want to. I want to get to the next step
- 17:01here. So there's 2 answers to that
- 17:04question. The first answer was when I was
- 17:0610. So as I said, we wrestled in the
- 17:11backyard and all that kind of stuff.
- 17:13And then from the backyard we would go to Pelham Bay Park.
- 17:16That's one of this, the biggest park in New York City, if
- 17:19anybody likes to question that. Do you?
- 17:22Do you goddamn Googles? Everyone thinks new.
- 17:26York has the sirens go off in the background.
- 17:28Everyone thinks it's Central Park.
- 17:30It is not Central Park. Central Park is the second
- 17:34largest park in all of the city. However, it is Palm Bay Park is
- 17:40Palm Bay Park consists of Orchard Beach, parts of New
- 17:45Rochelle, the Split Rock Golf Course, City Island and Pelham
- 17:50Bay plus the park. So it it is a very large area of
- 17:56all right, very large area of what am I trying to think of
- 18:02just a very large area. There we go of land there we go
- 18:04of land. Hey, don't.
- 18:07So. We, then we started wrestling in
- 18:10the park and then eventually we found the school in the Bronx
- 18:14that had a, a ring. Basically you pay $10 every
- 18:17Wednesday. I believe it was open ring kind
- 18:20of deal. You sign a waiver.
- 18:22And I remember we, I, I started going there when I was 10.
- 18:25My brother was what, 16/15/16 and all his friends were
- 18:29probably around the same age. So basically just go there and
- 18:34learn, you know, So that's the first answer to that question.
- 18:40Second answer would be after I finished my schooling and I
- 18:45started working, I just fell out of it because even in middle
- 18:49school and stuff I I was on the wrestling team somewhat of high
- 18:52school I was on the wrestling team as well and then I just
- 18:54stopped because I started working.
- 18:58Then 2021 came around, my brother started training at Team
- 19:033D in Danbury, CT. Oh shit, OK.
- 19:06So that's when I, I was like, wait, you're doing what?
- 19:11OK, cool. As soon as I get my next check,
- 19:15literally my income taxes, I got them back, went straight up
- 19:18there, said, hey, I'm here to sign up, let's get it going.
- 19:23And then my brother was like, all right, I'll, I'll put the
- 19:27word in and let Bubba know. And then from there, it's been
- 19:29history. Now is Bubba and Devon legit
- 19:31training you at this school or is it just their name and they
- 19:33have other people like? They they legit train.
- 19:37So Bubba runs the one in Danbury, Devon runs the one in
- 19:41Florida. Interesting.
- 19:43So it originated in Florida in Kissimmee or might have been
- 19:48actually a different part at that time, I'm not too sure.
- 19:52Then I guess when Bubba got his SiriusXM deal, he moved back up
- 19:59here. I'm not.
- 20:00I'm not too sure about the logistics on that.
- 20:02But yeah, it all originated in Florida by now.
- 20:06They're both, they're also both Gleeson's gyms guys, right?
- 20:09They're both changed by Johnny Rods and then went on to start
- 20:11their own schools. From what to my knowledge I know
- 20:15only Devon is a Gleeson's guy and Johnny guy.
- 20:19Interesting. OK.
- 20:20Because I believe Bubba. I believe Bubba only learned
- 20:25that from Devon if I'm not mistaken.
- 20:28Yeah, I'm not. I could, I could.
- 20:29I thought maybe Bubba was there for a little bit, but I I don't
- 20:32know if he if what, what the whole story is.
- 20:34I know, I know Devon Dreamer and there's another ECW guy that all
- 20:39came from Johnny Rods. I just I'm having a brain fart
- 20:42on who it is. Yeah, I'm not too sure.
- 20:47Yeah, interesting. So what it what is it like
- 20:50working with with Bub? Bubba is a very polarizing guy.
- 20:52Either you love him or you hate him.
- 20:55I love his mind for the business.
- 20:58I I hate the way he conducts himself sometimes.
- 21:03So now we me personally, I never had any issues with him.
- 21:09Obviously there's other stories with some other students and
- 21:13stuff like that, but I like to keep it as Fight Club, you know?
- 21:17I don't like putting it out there.
- 21:19Most of the complaints I've ever heard are from fans.
- 21:21Like fans have been a big interaction because he, because
- 21:24he's the bully, like he's gonna, he's not always the nicest guy
- 21:27because he's either in gimmick or that's just who he is.
- 21:30He is in. He's an Italian from New York.
- 21:33Yeah, like, you know. My relationship with him was
- 21:36always like an, like an uncle, you know, like.
- 21:40He does got a great mind, like he he has really good takes on
- 21:42busted open. A lot of times I feel like I say
- 21:44I'm on my stream and then the next day he's saying I'm busted
- 21:46open. I'm not saying he's listening to
- 21:48me by any means, but it just shows we're probably on the same
- 21:50page when we see something and we're like, oh, that just makes
- 21:53sense of. Course and I will always give
- 21:56him and our head trainer was Randy Shawn.
- 21:59So he he used to be on the Indies.
- 22:02He still is, but he used to go by Jay Boston back in the day.
- 22:05He was also part of the spirit squad.
- 22:07All that kind of stuff. Yeah, yeah.
- 22:09Lindsay here. Great question.
- 22:10Does your brother still wrestle? No, no, Lindsay, he doesn't.
- 22:17So I started in 21 March of 21 and then my nephew was born
- 22:28December of 2020. What day?
- 22:30December. 23rd. Oh, OK, OK.
- 22:34I was making sure we'd have the we're sharing birthday, Sir.
- 22:36I'm earlier. I'm earlier in December.
- 22:38When's your birthday? The 5th.
- 22:40OK, got you. Are you in December too?
- 22:43I'm a June no, but my brother, my brother, my mother, and my
- 22:47brother's wife is all December. So people are having a good
- 22:52time, People have a good time. Saint Patty's Day.
- 22:54Saint Patty's Day. December as well.
- 22:58She yeah, she's yeah, the 21st. My godmother's the 21st though.
- 23:03December. But My my mother, my nephew and
- 23:08my father all share the same birthday, which is wicked.
- 23:12That's crazy. Me and my brother are five days
- 23:14apart because my, my, my parents anniversary and Saint Patty's
- 23:17Day are like on the same spot and that, you know, they just
- 23:20celebrate and then a baby pops out.
- 23:22Oh yeah, apparently. I guess that's how it works, you
- 23:25know? But my brother, he actually
- 23:29stepped away just so he can take care of the family at that time.
- 23:32Smart. You know, he, he got, he also
- 23:36had a very rigorous job. He was the guy at that said job
- 23:40and he basically had to eat, live, breathe and and shit that
- 23:44job essentially. So.
- 23:47I also worked for that same. I also worked for that same
- 23:50company as well and same thing. So I made my debut in December
- 23:53of 22, got the new job, was told no weekends.
- 23:59Oh. So all of 2023 I was out of like
- 24:04the Indies, you know, like I made my debut great, you know I
- 24:08was so you know I was all hype about it.
- 24:09All right, this is this is my goals for how I want this year
- 24:13to go got the job no weekends cool.
- 24:18That's basically basically you got fed up told them all to go
- 24:22fuck themselves. You know, because I don't I have
- 24:24no filter. I try to keep it professional as
- 24:27long as I would, you know? However, it just comes to a
- 24:31point where it's like, all right, I'm going to take a bet
- 24:34on myself and I've been happy ever since, you know?
- 24:38How did magic come about with my older brother?
- 24:41OK. So anything he did, I did.
- 24:44OK. Wrestling magic working in the
- 24:47movie theater industry. I did too.
- 24:49I worked in the theater. That's crazy.
- 24:51That's awesome. Yeah.
- 24:54So what like, are you a card trick guy?
- 24:56Like what all can you like? What all can we do with with
- 24:58with magic? So sleight of hand also, we have
- 25:02like we had different gimmicks now I'm not sure if I know.
- 25:06I don't really have much. I only I stick to cards and like
- 25:10I ordered a few new things like coin magic and all that kind of
- 25:14stuff too. But mostly just sleight of hand
- 25:17because that that's what I feel most comfortable with.
- 25:21I could also like pickpocket, you know, So make sure you have
- 25:23your wallet. At all times.
- 25:26Take watches off wrists and all that kind of shit too so.
- 25:29I like that. Some mentalism, like reading
- 25:32minds and doing all that kind of shit.
- 25:34So yeah. I love.
- 25:35Yeah, I definitely got a part in you up with Nate.
- 25:37You and you were used to have a blast with each other.
- 25:40I met there was another kid that Logie like legit he was at some
- 25:44show and I got a random video text from Logie and he he was
- 25:49like, yeah, there's just I forget his name so.
- 25:52Pardon, it might be Nate because Nate did a trick with Logie at
- 25:54PPW. He was there at PPW this past
- 25:57Saturday. Yeah, Yep.
- 25:58He had, he had a bun, right? Is that?
- 26:01Is that who? No, Nate doesn't have.
- 26:02He has like a buzz cut. He's kind of a bigger dude.
- 26:04I forget what shirt he was wearing to be honest with you.
- 26:07OK. Yeah.
- 26:09Yes. So there was another guy that
- 26:11was there. I, I, I told you, I'm horrible
- 26:13with names. I'm good with faces, just
- 26:15horrible. I'm the same way.
- 26:16I'm honestly the same way. So Logie just sent me a random
- 26:21video text one day saying like, he's like, you're not the only
- 26:25magician anymore. And I'm like, OK, cool.
- 26:28It was great. It was a pretty cool trick, you
- 26:31know, I knew how to do it. But you know, what can I say?
- 26:37I love that it's like Penn and Taylor fool me.
- 26:40So what were the beginning stages of you finding your place
- 26:43when it comes to professional wrestling?
- 26:44Like going through the early stages, I you got to get the
- 26:47shit kicked out of you at bully school, right?
- 26:49Like he's not taking like bully's a really big respect
- 26:52guy. Like you're not just walking in,
- 26:53getting his ring and and go and then just like I feel like you
- 26:57got to because he's even the person, if you're even across
- 26:59the barrier, you need to train. Thankfully, I didn't have to do
- 27:02any of that because I my body is not equipped for that.
- 27:05And that's why I do commentary, but I respect it.
- 27:07I don't go in the ring. I'm not that guy who's like, oh,
- 27:09I'm a content creator and I also want to sneak in and do
- 27:11wrestling and I'm not trained or I want to be a manager and I'm
- 27:14not trained. Like I'm only in there if I
- 27:16absolutely have to. And it's not to do any spots
- 27:19because I didn't earn that. Of course I get that.
- 27:22So it took me I think 3 months to get into the ring.
- 27:28It could have been longer, I don't remember.
- 27:31I have a shit memory, but anywhere from like three to five
- 27:35months on the floor, chaining, chain wrestling.
- 27:39Learn how to lock up. Like there was legit classes
- 27:42where I was just there just locking up.
- 27:45That was the class just locking up.
- 27:48Next class lock up top for a slop, you know, so it's very,
- 27:55it's very. Fundamental based.
- 28:00Fundamental based but also smart how he how he did that, you
- 28:03know, because he's not like there's, there's some kids on
- 28:07shows that were on that I might overhear or hear like they would
- 28:12tell me themselves, you know, yeah, I've only been training
- 28:15like four months. So it's like, oh, OK, cool.
- 28:19Like if, if that works for you, great, you know, But it's like
- 28:24now I understand why you're doing certain hot spots and
- 28:28certain like you're more prone to injury in my opinion.
- 28:32There's no in ring psychology, you're looking to just, you're
- 28:34looking to be flashy and not and then you kind of lose that art
- 28:38of storytelling within the ropes.
- 28:40Sometimes you don't always have to work super hard to get a
- 28:42crowd. It's sometimes it's just a look
- 28:45or it's a demeanor or it's a walk.
- 28:47It's there's like you can do those basic fundamentals and
- 28:51still tell a story and not have to even do like anything wild.
- 28:55Like it's, it's not always about the moves, It's about the
- 28:58moments you create within the within the match.
- 29:01But that is, to me, that's the difference between, I mean, I
- 29:05guess sports entertainment is not really the same thing
- 29:07anymore. No, no.
- 29:08It's two different industries. Yeah, now they're still going.
- 29:12Now they can say pro wrestling on TV, you know, But that's the
- 29:17difference between pro wrestling and sports entertainment or WWE
- 29:22in my opinion. Because it's pro wrestling, it's
- 29:25always been pro wrestling, you know.
- 29:27Granted, they couldn't they they switched to terminology.
- 29:30However, it's still that you know.
- 29:34Yeah, I, I definitely think there's a, a, a different scoop
- 29:37of flavor for every pro wrestling.
- 29:39And I think there's, I think all of them are welcome and I all
- 29:41think they're needed. Like, I don't, I don't judge if
- 29:43that's your style, if you're a comic or you're a gimmick or
- 29:46you're just, hey, I just do goofy stuff.
- 29:48Be the best goofy guy out there. Like there's a, there's a spot
- 29:50for you to do that. You know what I mean?
- 29:52Exactly. Yeah, So what were some setbacks
- 29:56or reverses you had to overcome in your?
- 29:59Career balancing, balancing the shoot job with this, you know,
- 30:04that was the biggest one. And like I said, I got fed up to
- 30:08a point where it's just like, all right, like fuck this job,
- 30:11you know, like I felt held back and it and the craziest thing is
- 30:16like I went to shows, but I just knew personally, like if I know
- 30:21I can't make this commitment like once every week or twice a
- 30:28month or three times a month, then I'm not going to just I put
- 30:32myself out there to be Hey, can it like start taking bookings
- 30:36essentially, you know, so I'm glad I did it that way, though,
- 30:42because not that I just showed up booked wrestle next month.
- 30:48I can't following month. I can't, you know, so it's just
- 30:51like, but that I feel like that was my biggest.
- 30:55That was my biggest thing I had to overcome.
- 30:57Is that right there? How is it right now getting
- 31:00booking for you? How many different companies are
- 31:01you working for? Oh, honestly, it's tremendous.
- 31:05I've been since legit last year, since March of last year, I've
- 31:10been constantly booked every month.
- 31:13So right now I'm running four or five promotions like strict so.
- 31:22And they're not like, you know, they're not shinies either.
- 31:26Like, and that, that that's the biggest part.
- 31:29Like to me, Battlefield is my number one.
- 31:32Yeah, 1000%. You know, that's, that's my
- 31:35bread and butter. Alpha took me in, gave me the
- 31:37chance and I've been there ever since.
- 31:40And that was March of, that was March of last year.
- 31:43Well, we used to be in the building.
- 31:44I was, I was the commentary guy there and that I don't know if
- 31:47it's fixed, but man, that building was hot and extremely
- 31:50cold at, at the, in the beginning stages.
- 31:52I know they were working on fixing that in the middle.
- 31:55But then I used to go in and see BP in the Zumba room and that's
- 31:59where the backstage promo spot was.
- 32:01And I remember going in the Zumba room and just be it's all
- 32:03air conditioner and it's beautiful in there.
- 32:05And I'm like, you son of a bitch.
- 32:07And now where we are in Slatington, the promo room is a
- 32:11million degree. I'm, I'm dying back.
- 32:14I don't know how it's going to be in the winter.
- 32:15I haven't done winter shows yet there, but Oh my God, it's,
- 32:19that's the one thing I do miss about that.
- 32:21The location that battlefield's in in Oh my God, where the hell
- 32:25is that? Not Slidington Broadheadsville.
- 32:28Thank you, thank you. Great venue.
- 32:30I, I, I think the wrestlers really love this fact that you
- 32:33can go out and get a pump on in the gym or get a quick quit, you
- 32:36know what I mean? Then go in the Zumba room and
- 32:38like there's a lot of there's a lot of places to kind of do your
- 32:41thing. There's a massage table, you
- 32:42know, you know what I mean? Like the little food snack place
- 32:44there. Like it's a great venue.
- 32:46They do a great job, great parking spots like we.
- 32:48Just renovated too, so it's it's even a million times better.
- 32:52I've just seen a video of like the stage, like you guys built
- 32:55the whole stage. There's a whole backstage area.
- 32:57Like it looks way different. I haven't seen it fully, but
- 33:00from what I'm used to and then what you guys are doing now and
- 33:02it has greatly improved and you guys are putting a lot of good
- 33:05work in there. You gotta come, you gotta come
- 33:07down, bro, you know? Yeah.
- 33:08I gotta come see a show soon. The roster's fantastic too.
- 33:11I just seen what Tommy Vincible took on Rich Holiday.
- 33:17Yep. Yeah, it happened to
- 33:18Battlefield. Yeah, for sure.
- 33:20Yeah, they're, they're doing cool stuff, man.
- 33:21I mean, I, I mean, I worked with off a bunch of times.
- 33:23He's, he's always been super nice to me, but I, I just
- 33:27haven't had a chance really to when I, when, when he was kind
- 33:29of starting off and PPW is changing venues is around the
- 33:32same time I was going through a divorce.
- 33:34And that's when I kind of stepped away from wrestling
- 33:35because I didn't really know my, what my life was going to entail
- 33:38at that point in time. And then, and then kind of
- 33:41around the time when I met you at PPW is when I first kind of
- 33:44broke back into wrestling because I took a huge chunk off
- 33:47because I'm the same way. If, if I can't, if I can't be at
- 33:49a promotion every single month and dedicate myself to that
- 33:53promotion every month and I'm half in half out there one month
- 33:56off 3 months back a month. I just, I won't, I won't
- 34:00consider myself part of that team because I'm not as
- 34:03consistent. No 1000% I completely agree with
- 34:06that. Yeah.
- 34:09But for so the promotions I'm really at is Battlefield Gremlin
- 34:15House Wrestling that's based out of New Jersey, Tremendous.
- 34:20We have a show coming up in October, October 25th.
- 34:24We got Journey fought to Zilla fought to BG Wayne.
- 34:29Who else we got? I believe Sandman is that
- 34:34Clayton from FBII could keep just naming names, you know, but
- 34:40that that's that's a great place to be out as well.
- 34:44That's where I joined the FBI, was at Gremlin House, which is?
- 34:47Yeah. Great work with with Guido,
- 34:50little Guido. Guido and Ray Jazz they Guido
- 34:53is. Unfucking a lot of people just
- 34:56see him for his comedy character but people don't realize like
- 34:59that man is a fucking worker like his ground, his mat skills
- 35:03and his chain and his he's like regal level good.
- 35:07Like his stuff in Japan he was fucking people up.
- 35:13Guido is. A great man.
- 35:15Yeah, I love every time I'm on a show and Guido's there.
- 35:18I'm just in awe. I'm like, Oh my God, I'm so
- 35:20happy he's here. Like he just, he's, I love him,
- 35:23I love him to death. He's so good and he's always a
- 35:25class act person to work with. 1000%.
- 35:29Yeah. What are some key moments or
- 35:31accomplishments you have had in so far in your career?
- 35:34Definitely that joining FBI in a way.
- 35:39See, this past Sunday also was another big one.
- 35:44Kavitzer's me and the Vetrano brothers went up against the
- 35:47Team Genesis, so Clipper Jones, Ken Powers and TK Okasenko.
- 35:52All six of us all trained at 3D and this was the first match
- 35:55that all of us were in together. And it was.
- 35:59Two separate groups, like they have their group.
- 36:02We have our group, you know, So that was pretty, pretty amazing
- 36:05and surreal to do that. See Taco Fest for Battlefield
- 36:11back last March. Or no, It was May.
- 36:14Yeah, May, Sorry. Taco Fest.
- 36:17Taco Fest? Where was it?
- 36:19It was at Pocono State Park. Oh wow.
- 36:22The day before May 4th, May the fourth be with you there was the
- 36:25day before Cinco de Mayo. So yeah, that match was actually
- 36:30me and Ken versus the Vetrano brothers, So and that was my
- 36:34first match back since my debut. So that was only my second ever
- 36:39match and my first match at Battlefield.
- 36:43So that that was pretty surreal. Me and Wrecking Ball Lagerski as
- 36:49well, that hits that hit differently because I also
- 36:52trained like we trained together as well at 3D trying to think I
- 36:58feel like me and Rico gold from Love Hurts.
- 37:01We put on a banger. So me and Rico had two matches
- 37:05in Battlefield for Futures. Our first match was I think in
- 37:10January at the January Futures and then we rented back in
- 37:15February. Now the January 1 really didn't
- 37:19like yeah, it went OK, but in February we had a point to prove
- 37:25why we are who we are, you know, So I definitely that match still
- 37:30sticks with me. I got to Canada this year.
- 37:34So me wrestling in Canada, that was definitely on my list of
- 37:38goals and for me to for this year and for me to somehow make
- 37:42that happen, it was great, you know?
- 37:47What promotion was it? Supernova Wrestling and it was
- 37:53like a cross promotion. It was Supernova Wrestling and
- 37:56then Kaiju Pro. Kaiju Pro are based out of
- 38:00Connecticut. Yeah, no, they they're not the
- 38:03same as big Kaiju battle, right? They're two different things.
- 38:06I believe, yeah, I believe so. I believe it's.
- 38:08Yeah, so this is kind of like A2 parter.
- 38:12So I was going to ask you who your role models and influences
- 38:14are. But for people who've never
- 38:15watched you wrestle, who, who do you?
- 38:17Who would you say you most emulate or like you with the
- 38:21style of of match that you put on?
- 38:24See, I, it's hard for me to answer that myself, you know,
- 38:28because yes, I watch back all my footage and all that kind of
- 38:31stuff. However, I just, I don't like to
- 38:34compare to others, you know, I, I'm just me, Like I, I, I heard
- 38:42what people compare me to, you know, like I get Bray Wyatt
- 38:46sometimes. I guess that's just because of
- 38:48my stature and and look, maybe. And and athletic for your size.
- 38:53Like people would probably see your size and don't realize how
- 38:54athletic you are. Yeah, I get him a lot.
- 38:58There's Who else have I gotten recently?
- 39:02I forgot What? What one of the brothers brother
- 39:05just told me it was somebody else.
- 39:08But big men who are very athletic for their saws.
- 39:11Yeah, that's who I really get compared to a lot.
- 39:14Kevin Nash, Who's the other one? Who's your favorite athletic big
- 39:18man? Oh, let's see.
- 39:23That's not Alfa junior because he's very athletic for his size
- 39:26as well. Samoans are just deceiving.
- 39:28So they can be 8000 lbs but they're still doing moonsaults.
- 39:32I was like, how the fuck do you do that?
- 39:35Growing up, like I always, that's who I like, you know,
- 39:39like Mark Henry was one of my favorite wrestlers.
- 39:41Umaga. Yeah.
- 39:45Let's see, Big John Stud, Like I, that's what I that's what I
- 39:51watched. That's what I studied, You know,
- 39:53even at a young age, like me and my brother would just watch tape
- 39:58for hours and hours and hours. And like, now I'm just watching
- 40:02tape by myself or if I'm at the Vetrano's house, like, we'll
- 40:05watch something, you know, like we we stay up to date with
- 40:07everything. But like, all right, let's watch
- 40:10something from back then. You know, like, yeah, I like
- 40:16Austin Idol. Austin Idol is another big man,
- 40:20like a big guy, but he's very athletic and all that kind of
- 40:24stuff. So that's my kind of style of
- 40:26wrestling, like being able to do moves but make them make sense
- 40:31and tell a story at the same time while doing it.
- 40:34I'm a Vader guy, a Vader. I love Vader and I Love
- 40:38Actually, I like Vader. I love Bam Bam Bigelow.
- 40:42I love Bam. Yeah.
- 40:45I watched a lot of bam Bam growing up too.
- 40:48Like even still now there's certain spots that I'll be like,
- 40:52oh OK cool, I'm in. I'm rocking, I'm rocking my Luna
- 40:56right now. Did you watch on a EWI?
- 41:02Think it was her last pay-per-view they had.
- 41:04They brought in from stardom Bozilla.
- 41:07She's like this big German chick.
- 41:11She's like a bodybuilder, huge, like she's but she's like
- 41:14wrestles like a female Bam bam Bigelow.
- 41:16She's like a she's like a supermodel female big girl who
- 41:21just is doing 2nd row moonsaults on people.
- 41:24Like she's killing it, yeah. I've probably seen clips but I I
- 41:29definitely didn't watch that last paper review.
- 41:31I hope that when Sammy goes over to Japan somehow they find a way
- 41:35to put her on Bozilla together, because I need that match in my
- 41:38life. That would honestly be amazing,
- 41:40you know? Yeah, I'm still convinced that
- 41:43we're not getting Sammy back. I think.
- 41:45I think Sammy's going to Japan and she may come home to like
- 41:49tie up loose ends. But I, I, I genuinely think when
- 41:53she goes over there, just because of the way she conducts
- 41:55herself, how easy she is to work, how versatile she is, I
- 41:59think she's, I think that's going to be her home for a
- 42:01while. I think she's that good.
- 42:02I think, I don't think we're going to see Sammy in the states
- 42:06much longer. I and I, and which is a good
- 42:08thing because I want her to get to that next level.
- 42:10But I think she's made for that Japanese style and just being a
- 42:14big base and just throwing around these tiny girls and
- 42:17like, but also can like, no one has done it yet really.
- 42:20She does it in her promos, but like, she's fucking funny.
- 42:23She has really good comic timing and she can tell a whole and her
- 42:28she can tell a whole story with just her eyes.
- 42:30She has the best facial expressions in pro wrestling.
- 42:33I 1000% agree with that. Yeah.
- 42:37Also another big like inspiration was Jericho.
- 42:40OK, Yeah. He, I remember being, I must
- 42:44have been at least like 1011 whenever his second book came
- 42:48out, like my brother, he, my brother had his first book, like
- 42:53we bought it or got it from Pathmark back in the day.
- 42:57That's where we get all our wrestling magazines, go to
- 42:59Pathmark, get them. And we, we've had, I think we
- 43:04still have them actually in the storage unit, just a big like
- 43:07two or three big IKEA bags filled with wrestling magazines
- 43:10from like 05:00 to like to the last year they, they produced
- 43:15them. Were you getting the Abner mags?
- 43:17The what? The Bill.
- 43:18Abner Mags. Which ones are those?
- 43:21Bill Abner was like the big wrestling journalist for a
- 43:23while. I don't, I don't know if he
- 43:24still has the magazines, but he was.
- 43:26He was a big magazine. Bill Abner was essentially the
- 43:28guy who got Jerry Lawler versus Andy Kaufman to happen.
- 43:33No, I know the name. I know, I know the person, I
- 43:36just don't remember. Yeah, he, he, he, that was his
- 43:39Abner. I, I can never say his name.
- 43:40I have dyslexia, but he, he, he, he had a magazine for a while.
- 43:44And then, obviously, Pro Wrestling Illustrated was a big
- 43:46one, too. Yeah, we always used to get the
- 43:49pro wrestling in the Illustrated or the PW Insider.
- 43:52Yeah, I think that one as well. But all any WWE magazines from
- 43:57those years, we got like from O5 to I think it was like 2011 or
- 44:012012. On the raw magazines, I remember
- 44:03those. Yep.
- 44:05It was a Sean poster in the one raw magazine I always wanted.
- 44:08I never got it. But like back when Sean just
- 44:10broke up with the the Rockers and they had that like him
- 44:13looking in the mirror when he just came out with a sexy boy
- 44:15gimmick and they had like a big open, like the one you open it
- 44:18and had the poster in the middle.
- 44:20Every magazine had the poster. I was like my one buddy had it
- 44:22and he showed me and I was like, I want that fucking poster.
- 44:26I was trying to look for it on eBay or something, but it's
- 44:29just, it's so old. Like it's just hard to find in
- 44:32good shape. For sure.
- 44:35So back to the journal. I read the first book.
- 44:40You know, me and my brother read the first book.
- 44:42And then it was funny because legit a day after I finished
- 44:46that reading the first book in school, we we saw the like the
- 44:52post, I think it was on Facebook maybe.
- 44:55Or this was back in the day also when wwe.com was still a very
- 44:59big thing. Yeah.
- 45:00And he would go on there for meet and greets and they would
- 45:04legit name off what superstars where to meet them and all that
- 45:08kind of stuff. And most of the time it was all
- 45:10in the city, so I believe. That wasn't wasn't WB world
- 45:15still a thing the the restaurant place was that.
- 45:18Still a thing around that time. Or was it gone?
- 45:20It was, it was, it was gone. I think in O1 or O2.
- 45:24I never so real fast. This is going to blow your mind.
- 45:26I've never been to the city. Ever.
- 45:29I've, I've been, I've been to Dominican Republic, I've been to
- 45:32London, I've been to California, Colorado.
- 45:36I'm 3 1/2 hours, 2 1/2 hours away from New York City.
- 45:39I've never been to the city. I'd have no idea what it's like.
- 45:42I've been upset. I've never you let me know when
- 45:44you would like to plan a trip and left hand man will take you
- 45:47around the city. I don't.
- 45:49All right, I want to go see a battle club show like where they
- 45:51do the battle clubs with red. Right.
- 45:55I, I, I, I'm going to sound stupid, but I'm just being
- 45:58honest. I'm being, I'm being vulnerable
- 46:00right now. I don't know how to do public
- 46:02transportation. I'm where I live, I've never
- 46:05been on a train or a bus or a subway.
- 46:06I don't know how any of that shit works.
- 46:08Fair enough, I got you though. Don't worry.
- 46:10You don't have to pay a little extra fee though, you know, poor
- 46:13guide, tour guide, left hand man but.
- 46:16I'll buy you some beer. Well, we'll convince about that
- 46:18later. All right.
- 46:21So yeah, So literally legit, the day after I read Jericho's first
- 46:25book, my brother told me Jericho has a new book coming out and
- 46:29he's going to be in the city at Borders.
- 46:32Borders, I think, was the books. I think that's the name of the
- 46:34bookstore that used to be around.
- 46:36So I was like, hell yeah, let's go.
- 46:38We went. He signed the book for us, sat
- 46:42down, took a picture and all that kind of stuff.
- 46:44And any time we met wrestlers and they would sign something
- 46:51and they'd ask what name do you want it to be signed?
- 46:54We always used our gimmick names at the time.
- 46:55I love that. So my brother was my brother's
- 46:58Dom, the Dom, the Godfather professional wrestling me.
- 47:01I was Vinnie the Guinea. Hey, don't.
- 47:03So. That's what.
- 47:05Only we can say that. Only we can say.
- 47:07That yes, only Star Wars. He looked at the names and he's
- 47:14like Dom the Don Vinny, the Guinea, what what are these
- 47:18names? And we're like, Oh, we're
- 47:19wrestlers, you know, so he basically just like stopped the
- 47:24line for 20 minutes and just talked to us and just basically
- 47:28he spoke to my brother more because obviously my brother was
- 47:31older, so and I was just a younger brother at the time.
- 47:35And it was like, look, like this is what this is the plans, which
- 47:39you guys, if you really want to do this, this is a few things
- 47:42that you can just a few ways that you can go about it.
- 47:44And at the end it was like, I hope to to see you down the down
- 47:48the line on your journey. So that's to me, me being now
- 47:52where I am and still in it and still going towards all my
- 47:57dreams and aspirations and goals.
- 47:59That is Jericho Cruz's is like my goal for next year, my
- 48:05buddies. And played the cruise that's.
- 48:08Awesome. Yeah, they were on, they were on
- 48:10this cruise. They played The One Show.
- 48:12And I'm so bummed, but my buddy brought me back to Jericho.
- 48:14Like I, I, I kind of, I don't want to say I fell out of love
- 48:19with Jericho. I'm the guy.
- 48:22Sometimes if, if depending on what you do outside the ring or
- 48:25what you're involved in, it does diminish you a little bit in my
- 48:27eyes. So there's certain aspects of
- 48:30Jericho that I, I did fall out of love with.
- 48:32But Jericho, Sean Sean's always is, is my #1 Mick Foley's are my
- 48:37number 2. And Jericho always bounces in
- 48:39and out of the top five. But he was always someone I
- 48:41really, really, really enjoyed. Like just in the ring, he was
- 48:46just unbelievable. And just the way he can reinvent
- 48:48himself and stuff. I love AW.
- 48:50But towards the end there he was, he was, he was tougher to
- 48:53watch. But yeah, Jericho is a GOAT man.
- 48:55He's one of the best. Yeah, I I hated him growing up.
- 48:59I legit hated him. Really.
- 49:01I was a a Cena fan, bro. Like, you know, Yeah, yeah.
- 49:04Yeah. So.
- 49:05I I miss a lot of Cena's run. So that was the Cena.
- 49:08Like the ruthless aggression areas.
- 49:10When I got out of wrestling and I became a giant MMA fan, I was
- 49:13only watching UFC. And then I came back to
- 49:16wrestling about around the time I started the podcast up, so
- 49:18like 8 years ago. Like they're like, yo, if you,
- 49:21you should get back into wrestling, there's two guys
- 49:22you're going to love. And I'm like, all right, who are
- 49:24they? And they're like Daniel Bryant
- 49:25and CM Punk. And I was like, all right, cool,
- 49:27I'll turn into this week's Royal Rumble and I'll watch this
- 49:29Rumble. And then immediately after that
- 49:31rumble, they were gone. They were just gone forever.
- 49:33And I was like, well, now what do I do?
- 49:38And then I just had to find new people to like, but yeah.
- 49:41And then I just got back in and I was like, come on, this is,
- 49:42this is a lot of fun. It, it makes me feel young
- 49:44again. It makes me feel like a kid.
- 49:46I, I, I do like when I have those moments in wrestling where
- 49:49I, I get that, that juice where I'm like, oh, they, they got me,
- 49:52'cause it's not, I watch so much of it, it's hard to get me, you
- 49:55know what I mean? PPWI had that moment this
- 49:58weekend where I, I, I legit got that feeling where I like when,
- 50:02when Jaeger in the ladder match where he picked up Sean Smith
- 50:06and he, he had him in the crossbody and then took the next
- 50:08step up and the entire crowd just gasped.
- 50:11That got me. I was like, oh, This is why I
- 50:13love wrestling. That fact that that one moment
- 50:16they had where the whole crowd was like, Oh my God, he just
- 50:19took a step up. Like that's why I love this
- 50:21business, like right there. 1000% Oh yeah.
- 50:27So, goals you have set for yourself personally and in the
- 50:29industry. Personally, finances keep all
- 50:35that in check. Also keeping my body, getting my
- 50:40body into a better physique like I can, I'm in, I feel like I'm
- 50:45in the best shape of my life, you know?
- 50:48But now just getting my body to the next step physique wise, and
- 50:52I'm sure I could be in better shape too, you know,
- 50:56professionally. Jericho Cruz Definitely.
- 51:01I feel like that to me is what I need to that.
- 51:05That's like my North Star at the moment, you know, You might.
- 51:09Want to hit that up soon because if he re signs if the rumors are
- 51:12true that he's going back to the EI, don't know if they're going
- 51:14to let him do the cruise. There's still.
- 51:16Why not? Because WB is weird about doing
- 51:19outside stuff outside the business.
- 51:21Is it them? Sometimes.
- 51:24I guess however, like, but it's still his cruise, you know,
- 51:28like, yeah, it's like saying I don't know how to put that into
- 51:33like a comparison, but it's like.
- 51:36Newer newer WE is probably a lot laxer.
- 51:38But what if it was a VIN situation?
- 51:40I don't know if they would allow Jericho to the.
- 51:42Cruise, of course, yeah. But then like, it's like saying,
- 51:45oh, we can't send our top guy to go to to go away for six months
- 51:49to film a movie. Yeah.
- 51:51Granted, it's a different thing, but it's still his.
- 51:57It's his business, you know, like that's where I feel like it
- 51:59there. They would still be open to it
- 52:01because it's his business outside of it, you know?
- 52:05I'm I'm curious how he depending on what his departure.
- 52:10I still don't know if he's leaving.
- 52:11I think because Jericho's the biggest worker of all time.
- 52:13Like he's telling people he might be going back, but it's
- 52:15just for him to make a return to AW later because he's very good
- 52:20at that as well. But like, I, I'm wondering
- 52:22because I don't think they'll be, sends their guys to the
- 52:24Jericho crews to go work like AW would.
- 52:27Like AW sends 1/4 of their roster and like, oh, go ahead,
- 52:29go party with Jericho for a while, go get some content and
- 52:32come back. Our roster is deep enough that
- 52:33we we, we won't miss you, you know what I mean?
- 52:37But I don't know. I don't know if the same thing
- 52:39would happen if he left and then try to bring WWE talent OR if
- 52:42the AW guys would work with him if Con.
- 52:44If he signs back with E, it'd be it's going to be interesting to
- 52:47see how that plays out depending on where he goes.
- 52:49I think if he was to sign back with the E, it'd still be he
- 52:54would be the bridge between the two.
- 52:56Yeah, because I mean, I think he's eventually going to go back
- 52:59and get in the Hall of Fame and do all of that.
- 53:00That's going to happen. Yeah, yeah.
- 53:03But like, for instance, there's been shows where you had talent
- 53:07from both companies, like indie shows, you know?
- 53:11So what? Yeah, it's not an indie.
- 53:15It's just his cruise. So it's not televised unless
- 53:18they did it like an AW which. Yeah, they would usually
- 53:21televised right before they got on, right before they left port.
- 53:24They would usually film something in the dock and then
- 53:27then they would go on the dock and film and do stuff.
- 53:29Yeah. So this is the question.
- 53:33Do you get my first singles title at Battlefield?
- 53:37That I feel like that's going to be a very monumental moment for
- 53:41me personally and obviously professionally.
- 53:44Just. Because that, like, like I said,
- 53:49battlefield is my home, you know, like that.
- 53:51That's where I, I, that's where I got my break in is, is the
- 53:57battlefield. And so my first singles title
- 54:00definitely before the end of this year.
- 54:03That's rough, of course. So we'll get is.
- 54:06There a Is there a title you're looking?
- 54:08At all, all of them, of course. But however, I am on the futures
- 54:13brand, so let me not get ahead of myself.
- 54:16Yeah, but like, you know, the futures title, WXW, United
- 54:24States title, like those, those two belts are definitely looking
- 54:27very nice and promising. So.
- 54:31I got my eyes on, I got my eyes on everything, you know, I watch
- 54:34it all. Obviously, like I said, this is
- 54:37only my first year, first full calendar year technically on the
- 54:41Indies and in Battlefield as well.
- 54:45So I've been dropping bodies left and right and making
- 54:51memories and all that kind of stuff too.
- 54:53So it's just a matter of time to put more ass in seats for them
- 54:58to come and for me to drop another body to whoever the
- 55:02champion is at the time. Left hand man.
- 55:06You do, you do conduct yourself very well.
- 55:08I you're, you're definitely a good person having the locker
- 55:10room. You, you, you just you're,
- 55:12you're a good hand like and that all comes with, Hey, we should
- 55:16put something on him because he's he's earning that those
- 55:19respects. So I think you're well on your
- 55:20way and you're doing all the right things from the other side
- 55:23of the curtain that maybe the fans don't see.
- 55:25You're you're, you're always down to help.
- 55:26You're always down to do things, you're always down to work.
- 55:29And that, that definitely goes a long way.
- 55:32Here's a question that was added to the question list a while ago
- 55:35and sometimes I forget to ask it, but now we got it all
- 55:37situated. What is your favorite and least
- 55:40favorite type of fan? So personally or just in in, in
- 55:51general in Gunther? Either one.
- 55:55So. You you answer how you want to
- 55:56answer. Old fans, bro, I I love old
- 56:01fans, OK? Except the guzzlers that decide
- 56:06to fucking stalk people outside their hotel room.
- 56:08Like to me, like if you're a grown man doing that, you're
- 56:13nuts. Like I'd be the first to be to
- 56:17pull up myself and fucking knock a guy out, you know?
- 56:19Like, yeah, now if it's a kid, different story.
- 56:23You know, like, but I feel like kids wouldn't be crazy enough to
- 56:28go up to a hotel room. They wait for them in the lobby.
- 56:31The parents are coaching them. Exactly.
- 56:34But that, that's just bad. Or the airport people where they
- 56:40stock the flights and then see who's flying in and then stay
- 56:44there. Yeah.
- 56:44Yeah, it's nuts. I don't like that either.
- 56:48What are some hobbies or interests outside of the
- 56:51industry that you're into? I've definitely been into
- 56:54fitness. Like honestly, team, like when I
- 56:58first started training, that's what really got me back into it.
- 57:00Like I said, I was always an active kid.
- 57:01I always played sports, whether it was in school or outside of
- 57:05school. Like we were always at the park
- 57:07every day playing basketball, handball.
- 57:12We're always on bikes, scooters, skateboards, all that kind of
- 57:15stuff at the skate park. So I was always an active kid,
- 57:18always into, you know, not really going to the gym at that
- 57:22age but just being active. But starting training again in
- 57:292021 got me back into my fitness journey.
- 57:32I used to be a fat fuck. I was 380 lbs when I first
- 57:35started. Fat fuck.
- 57:38Like out of shave, out of weight, out of breath.
- 57:41I couldn't even do 5 push ups bro.
- 57:42Like when I first started. Probably not even one good full
- 57:461, you know, So that I give to that school and the trainers
- 57:53there and everything because we, we did, we did a whole hour of
- 57:56boot camp before we even got in the ring.
- 57:59Yeah. So boot camp is just brutal.
- 58:01And especially at that time, this was still COVID.
- 58:04So the gym clients like 'cause it's in an actual gym called
- 58:10Platinum Fitness, the gym clients and the wrestling school
- 58:14were always separate until we went into the to the gym for the
- 58:18ring. So we'd be doing things in
- 58:21hallways without machines. So running laps, any calisthenic
- 58:29burpees, push ups, sit ups, all that kind of stuff.
- 58:32Body squats. I remember we would firemen
- 58:34carry people and squat their body weight, all that kind of
- 58:37stuff. So I've been really into fitness
- 58:42and like going to the gym, especially now, like I feel like
- 58:45it helps me, you know, like it's that's the tone for the day and
- 58:48for my mental health too. Like I accomplished like that's
- 58:54my baseline for the day. Waking up gym, anything else
- 58:59happens. Any bullshit happens.
- 59:01It doesn't matter because I'm set for the day.
- 59:04I'm at my baseline now. Then there's days where I wake
- 59:09up, I'm fucking sore shit and I'm dead because I've been
- 59:13working all week last week up until this week, you know, So
- 59:15it's like I still make I still find my time to still do my
- 59:19hundreds, push up 100 push ups, burpees and squats a day.
- 59:24But it's just there's days where I know like I don't go to the
- 59:28gym. You might, Vinny Snaps might
- 59:32come out, you know. Vinny might snap, yeah.
- 59:36Exactly. Are you, are you, are you
- 59:39motivated by pop culture at all? Are you a movie, TV, music guy?
- 59:431000% movies. We just saw The Conjuring.
- 59:47Me and my girlfriend just saw The Conjuring recently.
- 59:49OK movie I, I fucking loved it start to finish.
- 59:55The story about it, everything was great to me.
- 59:57They're good movies, I just don't like the Warrens.
- 1:00:01Fair enough, not a fan. Not a fan of the I think they
- 1:00:03were con art. So I love the paranormal
- 1:00:06supernatural. I think it's super fun.
- 1:00:08I just don't believe in any of it.
- 1:00:10OK. Yeah, yeah, I I think, I
- 1:00:12thought, I think they're con artists, but the movies are fun
- 1:00:17to watch. I just watched the new Jurassic
- 1:00:19Park. Jurassic Park, I did not see
- 1:00:21that. It's horrible, It's terrible.
- 1:00:24That's. That's what I heard.
- 1:00:25Yeah, it's not good. I don't like to go.
- 1:00:27I like to go into the movies. Even when people tell me their
- 1:00:30opinion, I still don't take it, you know, because I like to
- 1:00:34watch it myself and there's very few movies that I go to the
- 1:00:38theater for. Same like I I could care less
- 1:00:42about going to the theater to see.
- 1:00:43That a movie dropped like a month ago and it's already on
- 1:00:46streaming. So I I'm like, I'll just wait.
- 1:00:48I'll wait a month. I'm going to watch Superman
- 1:00:49probably tonight. I still haven't seen that.
- 1:00:53I heard myth reviews, you know, But I like to give every movie
- 1:00:56my own. I'm the same way.
- 1:01:01Yeah, I worked. I worked in the theater for many
- 1:01:04years. You know, I'm still in the
- 1:01:06theater business as well. Like it, it's just nuts.
- 1:01:09So. What was your least favorite
- 1:01:12movie to work when it was in? I want to say Star Wars.
- 1:01:18Yeah. And I'm only going to give you,
- 1:01:20I'm going to give you the reason why we're open from Thursday to
- 1:01:22Sunday, all fucking all four days we were open pumping.
- 1:01:26We had to tell. We had to tell people.
- 1:01:27The one time during Star Wars when I worked, I was a high
- 1:01:29school kid working, but we had to go in there and tell people
- 1:01:31to. They had to take their seats
- 1:01:33because they were in the aisles and in the front by the screen.
- 1:01:35Lightsaber fighting grown like, and they weren't doing it to be
- 1:01:39funny. They were.
- 1:01:40Yeah. I was like, can you, you guys
- 1:01:42got to take your seats? Like there's people who are not
- 1:01:44nerds who want to actually see it, and they don't want to see
- 1:01:47you guys up there rolling around doing shoot fucking lightsaber
- 1:01:52fights. Mine was, mine was, I was
- 1:01:56telling them earlier, The Polar Express, because I was an
- 1:01:58Austrian. I had to clean the theaters and
- 1:02:01I by by the end of the week, I fucking hated the hot chocolate
- 1:02:05song because you're cleaning the theaters.
- 1:02:07It's fucking sticky popcorn and soda and I'm just listening to
- 1:02:11Tom Hanks screaming every single day, four times a day, all week.
- 1:02:17I'm like, to this day I've still never seen the movie.
- 1:02:19I won't. I won't do it.
- 1:02:21I hate. It it's a go to Christmas movie,
- 1:02:27there was definitely there was definitely movies that old.
- 1:02:31Like some of those songs are still ingrained in my brain
- 1:02:34like. Madagascar.
- 1:02:36I like to move it. Move it?
- 1:02:37I heard that 1000 times, yeah. Even at the bowling alley, when
- 1:02:42I used to work at the bowling alley, that was the job that I
- 1:02:44started working after I debuted. They had a playlist, and it's
- 1:02:49the same playlist every day. Anytime I hear a song now in my
- 1:02:56head, naturally I know what song is supposed to be playing next
- 1:03:00after that one, yet I don't have the playlist on my phone so it's
- 1:03:05just shit like that that I still remember.
- 1:03:07That's ingrained in my brain. That was that's how it was for
- 1:03:09the real commercials. We had TV's in the lobby and the
- 1:03:12real commercials were over and over and over.
- 1:03:14And I can quote them. Yep, so I work for amci still.
- 1:03:21I still do, but my first, that was my first shoot job like.
- 1:03:28So if I need one of those fancy popcorn buckets, I hit you up
- 1:03:31and then you could bring it to the show for me.
- 1:03:33Possibly. OK, good to know.
- 1:03:35Depends. Good to know.
- 1:03:37What do you mean? No, Hey, I got to I got to cross
- 1:03:40state lines with it, bro. Like it's the contraband, bro.
- 1:03:45We're crossing straight lines. Now I have to cross three
- 1:03:48states. There are two states to get to
- 1:03:49you. So that's that's double tax
- 1:03:52right there. All right, we'll figure it out.
- 1:03:54We will. So I worked at the that was my
- 1:03:59first on the books job. I've been working since I was
- 1:04:0211, but that was my first ever on the books job at 18.
- 1:04:05It was at AMC in Times Square, Empire 25.
- 1:04:09What'd you do? The busiest movie theater in
- 1:04:12America. And also it was up until I think
- 1:04:17like 2020. Oh, no, not even.
- 1:04:20I want to say maybe up until like 20, yeah, 20/21 it was the
- 1:04:24largest movie theater in America.
- 1:04:27Wow, what'd you do? What was your first job off the
- 1:04:29books? Cleaning the I was just a
- 1:04:34cleaner and a helper of the American Legion in the
- 1:04:37neighborhood. Got you.
- 1:04:38I worked for an Italian man who owned a pawn shop.
- 1:04:42Oh, that's I was a pawn shop. Yeah, I was a pawn shop.
- 1:04:45He was the most Italian man I've ever met in my life.
- 1:04:47And he was, he was, he was nuts. His pawn shop was definitely a
- 1:04:51front. His name was Tom King.
- 1:04:53Tom King. Yeah, Tom King, but he he looked
- 1:04:57exactly like the pawn shop over in the movie The Crow.
- 1:05:01Oh, yell, yell. That's great.
- 1:05:08Yeah, yeah. There was more than movies going
- 1:05:10out of that building. Good stuff.
- 1:05:16Oh, so let's while we're in the topic of movies and television
- 1:05:20shows, I need, I need to know your top Italian mobster movies.
- 1:05:27Ye. Goodfellas #1.
- 1:05:30Yeah, Goodfellas definitely number one.
- 1:05:32I'll probably show Bronx tale #2 number trees definitely casino
- 1:05:40the actually I'm switching it Goodfellas Donnie Brasco.
- 1:05:46As I said, Donny Ross was going to be up there, yeah.
- 1:05:50Casino then Bronx Tale and then I guess it have to be, it have
- 1:05:58to be fucking Godfather, you know?
- 1:06:01Yeah, I love The Godfather, don't get me wrong, great movie.
- 1:06:05But when I, when I tell people it's not in my top five, they
- 1:06:08get really upset and I'm like, it's just, you got to commit for
- 1:06:12that movie. I you watch it and you're like,
- 1:06:14OK, it's, it's, it's, it's almost like it's like it, it
- 1:06:16stands on its own, but I don't know.
- 1:06:19The other ones to me are just more, they're more complete
- 1:06:21films and I can watch them and more bite.
- 1:06:22Like the Goodfellas to me is just like there's that funny,
- 1:06:25there's that serious, there's that fucking Oh my God, I'm
- 1:06:27scared. It's it's, there's a lot going
- 1:06:30on with that list. The Italian, the Italian not
- 1:06:33sorry. I paint houses.
- 1:06:35The book was what the, what the hell was the movie called?
- 1:06:37The Irishman? That was a good one.
- 1:06:39Yeah. The Irish, that's.
- 1:06:41It was a great one, however I had to watch it 2 separate
- 1:06:44times. Yeah, it's really long.
- 1:06:46It's really long. So fun fact my after I left AMC
- 1:06:52I worked for a different company called Bow Tie Cinemas out based
- 1:06:55out of Ridgefield CT. They were hired.
- 1:07:00My company was hired to run the operations for the second ever
- 1:07:05Netflix theater. Technically it was the first.
- 1:07:08However, now there's 2. They have one in Los Angeles,
- 1:07:11one in New York. It's called the Paris Theater.
- 1:07:13So this was 20. This was legit right before
- 1:07:17COVID. Like I I started working there
- 1:07:19September of 2019 and then we shut down in March to do
- 1:07:22renovations because there wasn't ADA compliant and, you know,
- 1:07:26fucking great old Uncle Sam and New York City likes to to make
- 1:07:30their money, you know? Yeah, so we had premiere for The
- 1:07:37Irishman at my theater and I will never forget that day.
- 1:07:42I made sure haircut, fresh haircut, made sure I took my
- 1:07:49suit to the dry cleaners, put my tree piece suit on, had my nice
- 1:07:54tie matching with the handkerchief in the pocket, had
- 1:07:58the nice jewelry on. Well, not I always had these on,
- 1:08:02but if not over the time, you know, had the nice watch, the
- 1:08:06nice rings, all that stuff. Because I knew De Niro and
- 1:08:10Scorsese were coming to my theater and I was damned if I
- 1:08:15did not introduce myself to them.
- 1:08:17And you know, we there, there's always the policy where if
- 1:08:20anybody comes to the theater for X event, like an event, you
- 1:08:26cannot say a word to them. Yeah, I never believed that
- 1:08:31because it's like, I get it, but it's like there's just people
- 1:08:38like. If I'm in the same vicinity as
- 1:08:41the narrow, I'm going to try to shake his hand.
- 1:08:44Oh, but that's the I have to hand them the microphones before
- 1:08:47going out on stage. So it's like, what am I supposed
- 1:08:50to do? Just here you go, like, and just
- 1:08:53look like a Jackass? No, I said.
- 1:08:57I walked up to them like, hey, hey, Mr. Scorsese, how you
- 1:09:00doing? I'm Vincenzo.
- 1:09:01I'm the theatre manager here. I'm handing you your microphone,
- 1:09:05you know, but is there anything else I could get for you?
- 1:09:08We have tea, coffee, whatever. You know, just easing it in that
- 1:09:11way. Oh, yeah, I'll take a nice cup
- 1:09:14of hot tea. Great.
- 1:09:16Cool. Told one of my my subordinates
- 1:09:19to go grab it from downstairs and the they brought it up to
- 1:09:23me. Here you go, Sir.
- 1:09:24Here's your tea. And now we're just, we're just
- 1:09:27shooting the breeze. So it was amazing.
- 1:09:30Like, he was like, oh, this is a beautiful theater.
- 1:09:32I remember coming here when I was a kid, all that kind of
- 1:09:34stuff. And I'm like, yeah, you know, I
- 1:09:37I I I'm running it now. And I grew up watching all your
- 1:09:41all your movies. He's like, yeah.
- 1:09:43Which one is your favorite? Hold on.
- 1:09:46Let me take a guess. Goodfellas, Huh.
- 1:09:49I'm like, of course, yes, Goodfellas.
- 1:09:53And I gave him the list. Like you're a funny guy.
- 1:09:57So we, you know, we were just, we started convincing and all
- 1:10:00that stuff and anytime we have like people from the movie, like
- 1:10:05the actors from any movie and I have posters for it, my deal is
- 1:10:11to have the actors sign their poster just for my sake.
- 1:10:16Like I, I always did 2/1 for the theatre and 1 for me.
- 1:10:20And then if like any other, my other, any of my other managers
- 1:10:24wanted one, then of course, like we did another premiere for PS
- 1:10:28to the boys I love or whatever the hell Netflix movie that was
- 1:10:31like the girl chick flick. So all my girl like my girl
- 1:10:35managers are going crazy about that.
- 1:10:36Like Oh no, where so and so is coming.
- 1:10:40We have to meet him. I'm like, all right, relax, I
- 1:10:42got you. But then me, so me and Scorsese
- 1:10:46just convincing, you know, about different things.
- 1:10:48So I asked them, hey, would you mind?
- 1:10:50This is like my tradition just to sign these two copies of the
- 1:10:54poster for me. Oh, of course.
- 1:10:57And then he was like, you want a picture as well?
- 1:11:00I'm like, I'm not going to push it to me.
- 1:11:03I'm going to cherish this moment more than a picture because I
- 1:11:07can live with this, you know, like, of course the picture
- 1:11:10would be nice. However, it's just let me just
- 1:11:13have this to cherish for the rest of my life, you know?
- 1:11:16And he's like, honestly, how old are you?
- 1:11:18I think I was 20 or 21 at the time.
- 1:11:22And he was like, not many kids your age would have said that to
- 1:11:25me. They would have stuck their
- 1:11:28phone in my face and just took the picture.
- 1:11:31And then I would have had to smack their phone out of the
- 1:11:33hand. And then he says, hey, Bob, come
- 1:11:37over here. Have you met Vincenzo?
- 1:11:41He's the the theater manager here.
- 1:11:44He's like, no, I haven't had the pleasure to yet.
- 1:11:46He's like, all right, Bob. Vincenzo.
- 1:11:47Vincenzo, Bob, I'm like, how you doing, Mr. De Niro?
- 1:11:49And then he's like, no, it's Bob.
- 1:11:53Hey Bob, this is a friend of ours.
- 1:11:56When he said that. When he said that I was dumb bro
- 1:12:02I could have died happy off of. That I don't like.
- 1:12:04I want to. I want to go cry right now.
- 1:12:05I want to go throw up and cry. I legit should on the balcony
- 1:12:13for the two hours they were speaking.
- 1:12:16I would have jumped off because it's not getting better than
- 1:12:18that. Just in awe of of that alone,
- 1:12:21you know, like it was not. A virus, so I would have been
- 1:12:25like you son of a bitch you going to say that to me?
- 1:12:29I. Called my brother legit like as
- 1:12:32soon as they left the building. I'm like yo bro, you won't
- 1:12:35fucking believe what just happened.
- 1:12:36Like, yeah. It was.
- 1:12:38Have you ever been to Vegas? No.
- 1:12:41All right, so if you ever go to Vegas, make this plan just
- 1:12:44because what I'm about to tell you right now in Vegas, you go
- 1:12:46to old, you go to Fremont Street, which is the original
- 1:12:48strip, not the new strip, the original strip.
- 1:12:50And there's an old courthouse and that's essentially the
- 1:12:54courthouse that they had all the trials and stuff that
- 1:12:57essentially took down the, well, I'll say quote UN quote, took
- 1:13:00down the mob in Vegas, essentially just hired them and
- 1:13:03made them government workers. But we all know the story there.
- 1:13:07But because our our government only got good at being a
- 1:13:10government when they essentially dismantled the Italian mob and
- 1:13:13they gave them all jobs and taught them how to do the job
- 1:13:15the right way. Remember what I told you, bro?
- 1:13:19There's no such thing as the mob.
- 1:13:22Yeah, I might have it on my shirt and my pants, on my gear
- 1:13:26that I wear when I wrestle. However, there's no such thing
- 1:13:30as the mob. It is only the families.
- 1:13:32It's the family, but the old courthouse they turned into the
- 1:13:36mob museum. It is the greatest.
- 1:13:40Every time I go to Vegas, I do it every time.
- 1:13:42It's it's like 4 floors of like the beginning, the middle, like
- 1:13:47there's a whole section that they're like, hey, if you're
- 1:13:50not, if you're sensitive to death and gore, don't walk
- 1:13:53through here because this is all hit jobs, photos and videos of
- 1:13:57hits of like, like like when people got whacked or whatever
- 1:14:02it may be. They have bro, they have the,
- 1:14:05they had the Valentine's Day massacre wall dismantled and
- 1:14:09rebuilt in this place. And then after you're done the
- 1:14:13whole tour, like you go down the they said, hey, if you want, go
- 1:14:17down the basement. That's a fucking full on
- 1:14:19Speakeasy. Oh, that's awesome.
- 1:14:21It's the craziest fucking. I love, I love it.
- 1:14:24I bought a the box set DVD. It's like 15 DVDs and it's just
- 1:14:28like, you name a gangster. They have this whole history,
- 1:14:31storylines, everything and like how mob influence movies and
- 1:14:35they like all the Italians. I forget exactly what movie it
- 1:14:37was, but there was a movie where they're talking about a hit and
- 1:14:41they're like, Oh yeah, The guy, he chases him out of the house.
- 1:14:43He chases him through the courtyard and then back through.
- 1:14:46And then he does this, this and this to him.
- 1:14:48And there's a guy there who was hired by the movies to be the
- 1:14:52the liaison or like the hey, was this correct?
- 1:14:54Was this right? Was this right?
- 1:14:56And they shot the. Scene we just came out a few
- 1:14:59like last year I think, didn't it well.
- 1:15:01No, this is this is AI might have been casino, I don't
- 1:15:04remember, but essentially the guy was like, you're doing it
- 1:15:07all wrong. This is exactly how the scene
- 1:15:09played out. And they're like, well, how the
- 1:15:11fuck do you know? He goes because I'm the one who
- 1:15:13fucking did the hit and he literally played himself and did
- 1:15:19the whole he's like, this is exactly what the the route we
- 1:15:21took the whole night. Like he essentially recreated
- 1:15:23this murder. I was like, I love.
- 1:15:26It. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:15:29Good stuff. I love it.
- 1:15:30Mob movies are absolutely my favorite.
- 1:15:31But all right, let's get back into this.
- 1:15:35That was that was a great segue. If I didn't do that with you, I
- 1:15:37would have been remiss. When I do go to Vegas though, I
- 1:15:39have to stay with my casinos. Yeah, I don't like casinos.
- 1:15:42I don't like gambling. I'm not a gambler.
- 1:15:45Neither am I. However, I'm a winner, so yeah,
- 1:15:48I don't. I don't plan on disappearing in
- 1:15:50Vegas. So yeah, that's why I need to
- 1:15:52stay away. Yeah, but definitely do the do
- 1:15:55the museum it's. It's it's a monster.
- 1:15:57I'll definitely do the museum. And then the second thing is I
- 1:15:59have to go see Criss Angel. Yeah, Are you, are you a Criss
- 1:16:03Angel guy? You like Criss Angel One?
- 1:16:041000% I met his brother a while back so he told me anytime I
- 1:16:09come out to when I make it to Vegas look him up and.
- 1:16:13You know, I'm a Penn and Teller. I like Penn and Teller.
- 1:16:16OK. Yeah, I really like because I
- 1:16:18like when they'll show you how to do a whole trick.
- 1:16:20Like my favorite one they do is when they have the giant saw
- 1:16:22blade, like industrial saw, and they're cutting stuff and
- 1:16:25they're like, this is literally fake.
- 1:16:27You just do this, you do this, and then they literally like
- 1:16:29look like they cut someone half and they're like, now, now tell
- 1:16:33us how we did it. Like they like they literally
- 1:16:34show you the whole trick and then add a whole little layer or
- 1:16:36they're like, gotcha. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:16:39I I must have watched Penn and Teller bullshit on HBO Max like
- 1:16:42100 times. But yes, like by getting back
- 1:16:45into it, if you can change one thing about the industry, what
- 1:16:48would it be? Oh shit.
- 1:16:57I love your Italian brain trying to answer this without getting
- 1:17:00in trouble. I'm not one for.
- 1:17:04Politics, bro. Like, yeah, that's obviously I'm
- 1:17:09I, I conduct business very well. However, I'm not one for the
- 1:17:13politics. I'm not a fucking politician,
- 1:17:15bro. Yeah, I'm just me, you know?
- 1:17:17I'm what you get. Who I am is what you get.
- 1:17:21Yeah. The good or the bad, all that
- 1:17:23shit, you know? So I mean, I feel like there's a
- 1:17:30lot that can be changed, you know, like of course, like
- 1:17:35certain, like I feel like certain schools take kids money.
- 1:17:41They have no, they have no inhibitions that they're that
- 1:17:44you will never be a pro wrestler, but I'm going to take
- 1:17:46your money for months. You're a fucking you were extra
- 1:17:50on raw in 1996 and now you own a school.
- 1:17:55So, you know, shit like that where it's like, OK, like I feel
- 1:17:59like that that's the biggest thing because it all starts at
- 1:18:04the school, you know, like that's that's one thing Bubble
- 1:18:09would always say was people ask like, So what do you think it
- 1:18:13goes bad? Like do you think it goes bad at
- 1:18:15the top? Like, you know, in when they
- 1:18:17make it there or no? His answer is always no.
- 1:18:21It's out of school because you have people like that who just
- 1:18:25take your money and OK, what do you want to learn today?
- 1:18:29Yeah. You want to learn how to do a
- 1:18:31dropkick, go right ahead. We'll teach you how to do a
- 1:18:35dropkick. You want to learn how to do
- 1:18:37Canadian Destroyer? Yeah, we'll teach you how to do
- 1:18:40a Canadian Destroyer. You know, like I feel like
- 1:18:43that's probably like the biggest thing that comes to mind when I
- 1:18:47heard that question. Other than that, I'm sure
- 1:18:51there's a we can we can name off shit but.
- 1:18:55I, I don't, I, I will say for me personally, I don't like how we
- 1:18:59protect people who shouldn't be in the business, but we still
- 1:19:03find ways to let them be in the business because either they own
- 1:19:06a ring or they own a school or they have something.
- 1:19:09But like, if you, if you fucked with kids or with fans and used
- 1:19:14your stature to try to game someone or get your Dick wet,
- 1:19:18get the fuck out. You know what I mean?
- 1:19:20Especially children. If you're fucking with kids, you
- 1:19:23can't, you can't fuck with kids and still be in Sesame Street.
- 1:19:26At the end of the day, this is still a business for children.
- 1:19:30And if you even if you had a sniff of that, get the fuck out
- 1:19:33and there's no excuse why you should still be there.
- 1:19:36I agree with that. Yeah, I hate it.
- 1:19:38I was. Raised.
- 1:19:39I hate it so much. No, I was raised by my
- 1:19:42stepfather. My stepfather was my father, you
- 1:19:44know. Yeah, that he was incarcerated
- 1:19:48for majority of his life and that was one thing he never
- 1:19:54tolerated. And he always told us, no, don't
- 1:19:58ever tolerate any of that shit because that's what he used to
- 1:20:03do when he was in there. They'd hunt them and they'd
- 1:20:06fucking, you know, they'd go hunting.
- 1:20:08Yep, so not a fan. Don't like that's my biggest
- 1:20:12thing is like but they used to be on TVI don't care.
- 1:20:15Why are they here? Get them out. 1000% get them
- 1:20:18out. With that being said, what the
- 1:20:22hell was I going to say from that shit?
- 1:20:24I don't know what's the segue. What is something you think you
- 1:20:28will, you will never really understand about wrestling?
- 1:20:30That was a question from the chat.
- 1:20:32People will never really understand about wrestling.
- 1:20:35It's all an illusion. Yeah, it's magic.
- 1:20:39Just like magic, it's all illusion.
- 1:20:41It's all an illusion. That's why like it's cool that
- 1:20:45I'm starting to now like get back into Magic like I used.
- 1:20:50I also I carry a deck of cards on me at all times because
- 1:20:54there's times where I'm not a very sociable person like I am.
- 1:20:57But people also look at me like, oh, all right, this guy got a
- 1:21:02fucking problem. Italian from New York, probably
- 1:21:06crazy RBF and very intimidating if I'm just standing there not
- 1:21:11saying a word, you know, so, but like it helps me connect with
- 1:21:16people in a way that's like, oh shit, you know, I'm they might
- 1:21:20not remember my name because if they're in the town, I'm sure
- 1:21:23they're going to meet at least 10 Vinnies being in New York,
- 1:21:27but they're always remember the magician.
- 1:21:31So that that's definitely helped me a lot.
- 1:21:33And it's also helping me make connections in in the industry.
- 1:21:36You know, like Joe Hendry when I fucking ran into him at Comic
- 1:21:40Con, like, oh, shit. Hey, Joe Hendry, how you doing?
- 1:21:44Vincenzo? Can I show you a magic trick?
- 1:21:47Oh, yeah, sure. I'll do it for my vlog, you
- 1:21:49know, so that, you know, like shit like that where it's like,
- 1:21:52oh, now maybe he might Remember Me, the magician from Comic Con.
- 1:21:57You know, it's just things like that.
- 1:21:58Like the Bella Twins. I did, like my friend Tyler told
- 1:22:03me, hey, yeah, I'm going to meet the Bella Twins, bro.
- 1:22:05You got to come, all right? If I come, I'm going to show
- 1:22:08them a fucking magic trick, bro. Like, so it it's cool that I'm
- 1:22:13doing it that way as well for the outside and making those
- 1:22:17connections in the industry. Totally.
- 1:22:22Who asked who asked the question?
- 1:22:23Lily. Yeah.
- 1:22:25Lily, it's all an illusion. There's certain fucking people
- 1:22:29that people still hate each other.
- 1:22:31I'm sure there's certain people that still actually shoot hate
- 1:22:34each other. However, it's all an illusion.
- 1:22:37Yeah, I would say is it's not. And I would even say this for
- 1:22:42the top because people think that WB is like the most planned
- 1:22:46out, scripted out. We have things figured out for
- 1:22:48the next 6 months. Pro wrestling has changed some.
- 1:22:51Most times on the fly that day like.
- 1:22:56It's. It's so much improv, which I
- 1:23:00think is even more impressive because they figure things out
- 1:23:03and especially the workers like it.
- 1:23:05Like a producer, a agent, a Booker can tell you what they
- 1:23:08want and the idea. But for the most part, if you
- 1:23:11want the best magic, tell them the idea.
- 1:23:13What you want as a Booker, the storyline you wanted to tell,
- 1:23:16who you want to win, and let them go do let them paint the
- 1:23:20paintbrushes while they're between the ropes.
- 1:23:24Yeah, unless. Unless you're taking.
- 1:23:25Unless you're taking 45 minutes to paint that paintbrush and
- 1:23:28you're only supposed to have 8. Like to me, the best work I've
- 1:23:32done is on the fly. Yeah.
- 1:23:35And not saying that the shit I do that's not on the fly is not
- 1:23:39good or great, it's just it's certain levels to it.
- 1:23:45Like Jericho's book, they were wrestling how many fucking
- 1:23:50nights a week and just being out there and present in the crowd,
- 1:23:55you know, like it's just different.
- 1:24:00So I think bringing that back. So my number one thing is that I
- 1:24:06always told myself is to bring realism back in wrestling.
- 1:24:09Yeah. Like when I think like I
- 1:24:12remember my grandfather he would, they believe that shit
- 1:24:15then. Like if you watch any of the old
- 1:24:17garden shows, they did absolutely nothing in the best
- 1:24:23way fucking possible. Like a punch meant something,
- 1:24:28one punch meant something. That's why I'm also, I'm very
- 1:24:33adamant about how when I, if I do punch in a match, you know,
- 1:24:38but I, I do, I do my version of the dusties, you know, don't get
- 1:24:41me wrong, but it's just, you know, like bringing the realism
- 1:24:46back and wrestling. That's always what I told
- 1:24:47myself. It's because, especially now in
- 1:24:50today's day of age, everyone knows everything.
- 1:24:55Yeah, it's hard to shock people. What are words?
- 1:24:59What are words of encouragement for a beginner and trying to
- 1:25:02just chase their dreams? Find the best school that you
- 1:25:09can. But I'm plugging Battlefield
- 1:25:13right in that because from I've trained there a few times, I
- 1:25:17wish I was there more often, but due to my car situation I'm not.
- 1:25:23That's a hike too. That's like.
- 1:25:25Make it out there. Trust me, if there was a way to
- 1:25:27make it there by public transportation, I'd be on that
- 1:25:30every week. There's no fucking buses that go
- 1:25:33out there. There's no trains that go out
- 1:25:34there. And once you get to
- 1:25:35Pennsylvania, you're like, public what?
- 1:25:37Even if I took a bus out there, I'd still have to find a way
- 1:25:40from said bus to the closest bus is like an hour and a half away
- 1:25:45regardless of anything. So it's stuff like that.
- 1:25:48But This is why when people say I don't know, like you don't
- 1:25:50know how to do public, we don't have that out here.
- 1:25:54But yeah, Battlefield is definitely a great school just
- 1:25:58because Alpha, his mind is completely.
- 1:26:01He knows his shit and he's part of the most prestigious
- 1:26:08wrestling family there is in this business that predate the
- 1:26:11Mcmahons. Like, yeah, so especially his
- 1:26:16dad, I never got the chance to meet him.
- 1:26:18God rest his soul, you know? But like, he has that same mind,
- 1:26:25you know? Have you played?
- 1:26:28The two K 25 yet? What happened?
- 1:26:31Have you played the two K 25 yet?
- 1:26:3425 I don't think so. Or maybe.
- 1:26:35So I I just got it and the whole storyline is the bloodline
- 1:26:39storyline where you go back and change the history.
- 1:26:41I just did the Steiners versus the Head shrinkers in Vegas when
- 1:26:45they wrestled in Vegas. Oh my God, so much fun.
- 1:26:47That's fire. But yeah, I would say find a
- 1:26:51good school, a very reputable school in your hometown, and no
- 1:26:58matter how hard you think it is, it will get harder.
- 1:27:01It's just up to you and your determination to make it
- 1:27:04through. Yeah.
- 1:27:06Because this shit ain't for everybody at all.
- 1:27:10I remember I was when I first was learning how to bump, they
- 1:27:17would tell me to go and they will tell me when to stop.
- 1:27:21I remember there was a veteran that came to the school.
- 1:27:25He was a world renowned veteran and he saw me.
- 1:27:30I always saw him at shows beforehand like you know, doing
- 1:27:33wrinkle and stuff. And you always say, you know, I
- 1:27:36always say hi, how you doing? You know, it's part of the
- 1:27:38business. But that day he never forgot my
- 1:27:40name to every show afterwards because he saw me go into the
- 1:27:44ring. Me at my size back then when I
- 1:27:47first started 38380. Sorry. 380. 388 don't at at
- 1:27:55least 75 to 100 bumps per class. Just bump and feet.
- 1:28:02Bump, get up, bump and feet. Boom.
- 1:28:04And I'm not even I'm not even taking anything from anybody me
- 1:28:07just taking my own bumps. Get up, bump, get up, bump, get
- 1:28:09up and ever show every show after that class I've seen him
- 1:28:14at, he always remembered my name because even that day afterwards
- 1:28:18he told me he's like how like, well, I'm young and two, I'm
- 1:28:24being told to do it. So I'm doing, you know, like
- 1:28:27also be coachable. That's that's, I feel like
- 1:28:30that's the biggest one of them all.
- 1:28:32Yeah, who? Not on the list, but just one
- 1:28:35last one before I ask the last question here.
- 1:28:36Who was of a seminar you attended?
- 1:28:38Because I know off of school you get a lot of cool names showing
- 1:28:40up here and there. What What was one of your
- 1:28:42favorite seminars you were part of?
- 1:28:45Jacob Fall, too. That wasn't.
- 1:28:47That wasn't at Battlefield, either.
- 1:28:49That was at a promotion called GSW Global Syndicate Wrestling.
- 1:28:54Jacobs. Jacobs got to be such a good
- 1:28:56because like, he could teach you life and wrestling like that guy
- 1:28:59pulled him up himself out of nothing.
- 1:29:01You know what I mean? I love Jacobs.
- 1:29:03So that's how the promoter paid us for our time.
- 1:29:09I always drove the ring truck and he to any show that we that
- 1:29:13Team 3D was a part of. I drove the ring truck, of
- 1:29:18course. Of course there was before.
- 1:29:19There was the guys before me that were still there, like our
- 1:29:22elders. Gio Galvano was the ring truck
- 1:29:25guy then. Yeah.
- 1:29:28I told him like, hey, bro, if it's too much for you, I can do
- 1:29:32it. You know, like for you to drive
- 1:29:34the ring truck and for you to do all that shit and then wrestle
- 1:29:37and then, you know, all that whole thing.
- 1:29:39I'm like, I can help you out. I mean, I don't mind it.
- 1:29:42All right, cool. So we drove the ring truck.
- 1:29:46He picked up the truck because I I was still under 25 so they
- 1:29:50would have charged me an arm and a leg for it.
- 1:29:53We at this time the our travel ring was Tommy Dreamers ring.
- 1:29:58It was the same ring you used for House of Hardcore and.
- 1:30:00All that House of hardcore. So GSW rented it for that
- 1:30:07weekend. It was the weekend of August
- 1:30:0920th and 21st. I'll never forget because my
- 1:30:13sister's birthday was August 20th or is August 20th.
- 1:30:17So we picked up the ring in Danbury at the storage unit on
- 1:30:21Thursday, loaded it up Thursday, drove it back to my house which
- 1:30:25is an hour away from Danbury. Parked it there overnight, then
- 1:30:31the next morning got up at the crack ass early of dawn.
- 1:30:34Drove that ring truck from my house to Asbury Park, NJ in the
- 1:30:40House of Independence. That was the the venue.
- 1:30:43So we got the ring set up and everything.
- 1:30:46There was 2 shows. It was Friday, Saturday.
- 1:30:48So I left the ring there. I literally drove there, set it
- 1:30:52up and left because my sister's birthday.
- 1:30:55We got to go celebrate sister's birthday.
- 1:30:57So went up there and then went back the next day.
- 1:31:02Your your The next day your phone did the emoji because you
- 1:31:05talk with your hands as you're Italian.
- 1:31:07Yeah. You did like that.
- 1:31:11Yeah, it was great. So the promoter basically said I
- 1:31:16don't really have any money to give you guys so you guys can do
- 1:31:20the seminar for free. Oh, love that.
- 1:31:22And that that's better. That's that's better than money.
- 1:31:251000% hell yeah. And it, like I said, everything
- 1:31:30in this wrestling world, everything does come full circle
- 1:31:34and I've firm believer of that. When awful used to bring a lot
- 1:31:39of people in for PPW for seminars, I would obviously I'm
- 1:31:42not a wrestler. So the seminar, like for me when
- 1:31:45it comes to the in ring stuff, it's nothing for me.
- 1:31:48Like I can't really get much out of it in the physicality aspect,
- 1:31:51but I would just watch. I would just sit in the corner
- 1:31:54and I'd watch. I'd be doing commentary notes,
- 1:31:57but I'd be literally watching and just listening to what
- 1:31:59they're saying and what they're teaching because like I'm
- 1:32:01learning. Oh, that's why they step with
- 1:32:03that. That's why they do this.
- 1:32:04Why learning the engine so I can be a better mine for the
- 1:32:08business. And man, some of the people he
- 1:32:10like. Luke Gallows was so good.
- 1:32:13Brian Kendrick was amazing. Unfortunately, he's no longer in
- 1:32:16the business because of, you know, he got in trouble or
- 1:32:18whatever it may be, but but Davy Richards was unreal, unreal.
- 1:32:23Jay Lethal was unbelievable, like just good.
- 1:32:26I love seminars. I love just watching them and
- 1:32:28seeing people react and how they go through them.
- 1:32:30Oh 1000% like so I I soak up all knowledge.
- 1:32:34I'm a sponge. Also my time at Team three DI
- 1:32:38was I was the newest recruit I guess, or young boy, however you
- 1:32:42want to, whatever turn on you want to use.
- 1:32:45So anytime Bubba had a show on the Indies or like any show he
- 1:32:49had, I was the one working his table with him.
- 1:32:52So at the ECW Arena, I was there and they did like, they, they
- 1:32:56had like the con, the icons of wrestling con like meet and
- 1:33:00greet shit before the actual show.
- 1:33:02So everybody that's the top of the industry is there.
- 1:33:07And most of them would go out to the diner right there afterwards
- 1:33:11and I'm just sitting at the table with all of them saying
- 1:33:15nothing. Absolutely.
- 1:33:16Nothing. Just listen.
- 1:33:17Just listen. Eating my food and just
- 1:33:18listening and soaking up all the knowledge that I possibly can
- 1:33:21from that aspect of it. So there's not many seminars
- 1:33:26I've done even. I mean, I I attended the Kurt
- 1:33:32Angle long for at House of Glory, but even at that I didn't
- 1:33:37really get involved in the ring. I want to go to the House of
- 1:33:40Glory show. I want to experience the House
- 1:33:41of Glory show. Tremendous.
- 1:33:44They're so good. It it's scary like, so another
- 1:33:49philosophical moment like when I eventually wrestle for House of
- 1:33:53Glory. All the guys that we used to
- 1:33:55wrestle in the park with were trained by Red like, So that was
- 1:34:01the first school that was ever brought to our attention.
- 1:34:05And a few years ago I was working security for the Eminem
- 1:34:10Show at Governor's Ball. Governor's Ball is like a big
- 1:34:13music festival they have on Randall's Island and in
- 1:34:16Manhattan. And I remember seeing there was
- 1:34:19a guy trying to come through the gate that my boss has told me
- 1:34:23nobody gets to fucking come to this gate.
- 1:34:27Guy. Gold, gold, 9 gold, diamonds all
- 1:34:30over his neck with his daughter. And he had the pat the Eminem
- 1:34:34family pass trying to come to the gate.
- 1:34:38One of the other guards was like, no, nobody's allowed to
- 1:34:41come to this gate. I'm like, so I come over.
- 1:34:44I'm like, hey, how you doing? What's going on?
- 1:34:45Oh, he has to pass. Yeah, come on.
- 1:34:48And then by the twinkle in my eye from his diamonds, I saw a
- 1:34:52HOG chain. I'm like, HOG Isn't that House
- 1:34:55of glory? He's like, yeah, I'm like, oh
- 1:34:57shit. I'd like what do you, you know,
- 1:34:59what do you do for House of Glory?
- 1:35:01He's like, I don't remember if he was part owner or if he was
- 1:35:05just a part of it. And that's the first time I ever
- 1:35:08met Westside Gunn. Oh yeah.
- 1:35:11So I I did a show in Philly, WrestleMania weekend.
- 1:35:15I was doing commentary at Suplex Vintage Wrestling and he was
- 1:35:17doing autograph signings. That's the biggest show I've
- 1:35:19ever worked. It was like 2000 people there.
- 1:35:21It was the craziest wrestling show I've ever done in my life.
- 1:35:24And now he has 4th row, yeah. 4th row, yeah.
- 1:35:27Definitely on my radar. Well.
- 1:35:29PPW used to be the the feeder school for House of Glory when
- 1:35:33when the students didn't they couldn't get on House of Glory
- 1:35:36shows because they were still too new.
- 1:35:38They all went to PPW and and and earned their chops back when P.
- 1:35:41So PPW went from a church in Hazleton to Broadheadsville and
- 1:35:45then Broadheadsville to Slatington.
- 1:35:47Listen to this lineup. This is who used to roll through
- 1:35:49from House of Glory to start their journey at PPW, Rembrandt,
- 1:35:54Evander, James Charles Mason, the main event case.
- 1:35:59Well Casey Navarro wasn't a House of Glory guy but he
- 1:36:01started his like early journey at the PPW side.
- 1:36:04Amazing Rudd came in. I mean Casey Navarro, when an
- 1:36:07amazing red worked a match, it was unbelievable.
- 1:36:10On that was the first ever time I met Casey.
- 1:36:14Yeah, Casey was, he was a PPW guy in the really early days.
- 1:36:16I love Casey. I actually met Casey.
- 1:36:18I I went and watched Casey Russell when I went to London
- 1:36:20two years ago when he was, he wrestled for Defy and beyond.
- 1:36:24He wrestled Nick Wayne. And I just like to go across the
- 1:36:27pond and see Casey wrestle in another country.
- 1:36:29Was super sick. But yeah, man, Oh my God, that
- 1:36:31was our cool days. But like that whole the whole
- 1:36:34roster big game, Leroy Bones, all those House of Glory guys
- 1:36:38were all early PPW guys and Charles Mason was one of the
- 1:36:42coolest dudes. Like he's killing her right now.
- 1:36:44I love. That he's on a whole nother
- 1:36:46level at this moment, at this so good.
- 1:36:49I watched that guy go babyface heel babyface heel in one Rumble
- 1:36:53and the crowd bought into it every single time.
- 1:36:56That's amazing. He's so good.
- 1:36:58He's so good. All right, last question and
- 1:37:00we'll get you out of here. What are you grateful for and
- 1:37:03are you currently happy? I'm grateful for the people I
- 1:37:07have in my life for both professional and personal.
- 1:37:11Everybody, my whole team, my family, my team is my family at
- 1:37:14the end of the day. But everybody that is in my life
- 1:37:18I'm I'm grateful for. I'm grateful that I get to do
- 1:37:21what I want. I'm grateful I'm still alive.
- 1:37:26Like where I come from, there's friends of mine that have died
- 1:37:30at a very young age from street violence, from drug addiction,
- 1:37:36from just a whole 9 yards. So I'm, I'm, I thank God
- 1:37:40everyday that I'm still able to, to be alive and to have my
- 1:37:47family around, you know, like my stepfather died at a young, like
- 1:37:52I was 15. But even at that, like that
- 1:37:56brought us closer. But still like, you know, broke
- 1:37:59the family up in a way. But like everybody that's in my
- 1:38:04life now is why I'm still here, you know, like my godmother, my
- 1:38:10my mother, my sister, my brother, my nephew.
- 1:38:13That's honestly what I do this year for bro.
- 1:38:15Like I do this for him. Godparents are the only like
- 1:38:18Italians are the only ones who like honor that godparent thing
- 1:38:22like every other cultures. Like who's your godmother?
- 1:38:24Like what the hell is that? I'm like, oh, OK, that's just an
- 1:38:27Italian thing. But like, for real, like every.
- 1:38:32It's just like, I know without them I wouldn't be where I am
- 1:38:37today, you know, like of course I'm sure I would still be me,
- 1:38:41but what version of that, You know, like, I wouldn't know cuz
- 1:38:47I'd, you know, like. But yeah, that's what I'm
- 1:38:52grateful for. I'm grateful for my family, me
- 1:38:56being able to do what I do. I'm grateful for Battlefield for
- 1:38:58giving me the opportunity to join them and to show off my
- 1:39:03talents and and still haven't there's.
- 1:39:07I'm not even at the cusp yet of what I know I can do.
- 1:39:11Yeah, I agree with that. There actually is one more
- 1:39:16question and I'm literally looking at your name and I'm
- 1:39:18like, I didn't ask this and I'm an idiot.
- 1:39:19Where does left hand man come from?
- 1:39:21Where does that? Where do you pull from for that?
- 1:39:22I'm a lefty. That's it.
- 1:39:25That that that's the Canon of it.
- 1:39:26Like legit I'm I'm a lefty so but in everyone knows the right
- 1:39:33hand man. Yeah.
- 1:39:36The boss has the right hand man, but nobody ever talks about the
- 1:39:40left hand man. The left hand.
- 1:39:42Man is the one who's behind the scenes handling business, so in
- 1:39:47the event shit goes down and people get pinched, everything
- 1:39:53gets blamed on the right hand man.
- 1:39:54It's also my position in the family as well.
- 1:39:58So yes, I'm a lefty, but it's my position in the family that I
- 1:40:00hold. Yeah, the left hand man's the
- 1:40:02guy who runs the front of the butcher shop and people think
- 1:40:05he's the butcher, but he's the one that when the right hand man
- 1:40:08goes to jail, he's the one that keeps it alive.
- 1:40:10I have some left hand man in my life, in my family.
- 1:40:13I like that dude. Italians are super simple.
- 1:40:15Like I used to Tony two time. Like, why does he?
- 1:40:18Why do you call him that? Oh, because he says everything
- 1:40:19twice. Like it's just it's just that
- 1:40:21easy. Gotta go.
- 1:40:22Get the papers, get the papers you.
