- 0:22Speaker 1: Daily Briefing every day. Good stuff, Liz Peak. How you doing?
- 0:26Speaker 2: I'm terrific better for speaking with you?
- 0:29Speaker 1: Hey here that the big drug lords, the cartel bosses
- 0:33Speaker 1: were had tears in their eyes yesterday watching these Sunday shows,
- 0:36Speaker 1: so grateful to the host for sticking up for them,
- 0:39Speaker 1: defending them in their their narco boats. How much longer
- 0:43Speaker 1: do we have to listen to this from the Democrats?
- 0:46Speaker 3: I mean, Mark, don't you really begin to sort of think?
- 0:49Speaker 3: What what are the Democrats doing? What do they stand for?
- 0:53Speaker 3: As the public looks at the Democratic Party now? They
- 0:56Speaker 3: stand for illegal immigration, They stand for effectively embracing recidivism,
- 1:02Speaker 3: not putting anyone in jail, and all these god awful
- 1:05Speaker 3: stories week after week, just like the light trains stabbing
- 1:09Speaker 3: the second one again as someone who's been convicted of
- 1:13Speaker 3: many times an illegal immigrant, I mean, what are the
- 1:17Speaker 3: they embrace fraud. They're opposed twenty six states won't let
- 1:22Speaker 3: the federal government look at their SNAP programs and their
- 1:25Speaker 3: medicaid programs. Why I mean, fraud is a serious thing.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Hundreds of billions of dollars every year and that is,
- 1:33Speaker 3: by the way, coming a statistic coming from Joe Biden's
- 1:36Speaker 3: administration are lost to waste and fraud by our federal
- 1:41Speaker 3: welfare programs. What is it that the Democrats are offering
- 1:45Speaker 3: people that they can possibly like and as you say,
- 1:49Speaker 3: the final thing standing up for narco traffickers, that is
- 1:53Speaker 3: really a winning argument.
- 1:55Speaker 2: My god? What is wrong with these people?
- 1:58Speaker 1: So whenever it comes to Democrat's in homeless programs, money
- 2:02Speaker 1: seems to have vanished. You remember we had the Deblasi
- 2:04Speaker 1: administration with that thrive in dollars billion missing. Now in
- 2:09Speaker 1: this Somali, Minnesota, Tim Waltz, whatever this is, they're talking
- 2:14Speaker 1: about maybe up to eight billion missing. Mom, Donnie is
- 2:17Speaker 1: now talking about a homeless program. Does that mean another
- 2:21Speaker 1: billion is going to get lost somewhere?
- 2:23Speaker 2: Sure?
- 2:23Speaker 3: Sure, because among other things, none of these people has
- 2:27Speaker 3: real world private sector experience. So you know, I think
- 2:32Speaker 3: it was Jamie Dimond yesterday on Maria's Maria Bartiromo show
- 2:37Speaker 3: talking about the city is three hundred thousand people, and basically,
- 2:41Speaker 3: successful mayors are people who can manage. Well, do you
- 2:45Speaker 3: think this guy has any management capabilities at all?
- 2:48Speaker 2: Of course he doesn't. He hasn't read, he hasn't run
- 2:51Speaker 2: a business.
- 2:52Speaker 3: He hasn't run any Most Democrats, by the way, have
- 2:55Speaker 3: never run a business, which is a very interesting differential
- 2:59Speaker 3: in my between Republicans and Democrats. When Democrats get fired,
- 3:03Speaker 3: they get voted out of a job, what do they do.
- 3:06Speaker 3: They run for another office because they don't know how
- 3:08Speaker 3: to run a restaurant or build a house or anything practical.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Republicans can go back to farming or running a car
- 3:14Speaker 3: dealership or you know name it. I mean, actually, if
- 3:17Speaker 3: you look at seriously, what you know congress people and
- 3:21Speaker 3: mayors and stuff do after retirement. They either go to
- 3:24Speaker 3: work for MSNBC if they're Democrats, or they go to
- 3:28Speaker 3: Harvard to teach like build a Blasio or Lori Lightfoot,
- 3:32Speaker 3: or they run for another office. Look at Andrew Cmo.
- 3:35Speaker 3: He couldn't think of anything else to do, so we
- 3:36Speaker 3: ran for mayor of New York. That didn't turn out well.
- 3:39Speaker 2: So what's he going to do.
- 3:40Speaker 3: He's probably going to find, you know, mayor of Buffalo
- 3:43Speaker 3: or something next to run for.
- 3:44Speaker 2: It's really pitiful. But anyway, Mandani taking on a.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Lot of money to spew at the homeless. You know,
- 3:53Speaker 3: his latest thing on homelessness is he's no longer going
- 3:55Speaker 3: to enforce the eradication or the cleaning out of the
- 3:59Speaker 3: homeless and captinance. Who does that benefit Mark? Who is
- 4:03Speaker 3: really applauding that move? It certainly isn't the residents of
- 4:06Speaker 3: the neighborhoods where these homeless encampments spring up, because their
- 4:10Speaker 3: lives are going to be made a mess by the
- 4:13Speaker 3: fact that you're going to have this sprawl of dirty,
- 4:17Speaker 3: sometimes violent homeless in community that kind of erupts in
- 4:23Speaker 3: their midst. It isn't good for the homeless, some seventy
- 4:26Speaker 3: percent of whom are drug users or alcoholics because they
- 4:31Speaker 3: aren't going to get any treatment. They prefer to live
- 4:34Speaker 3: on the street because they can continue to abuse drugs
- 4:36Speaker 3: and alcohol. It isn't good for them. Who is it
- 4:39Speaker 3: good for? I mean, I really ask that at all sincerity.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Who does he think he's benefiting there?
- 4:45Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, here in the radio business, we want
- 4:48Speaker 1: to do something sometimes we see what happened in other
- 4:50Speaker 1: stations did it and they come in with the report
- 4:52Speaker 1: forty seven stations did it and the ratings plunged all
- 4:55Speaker 1: forty seven times, So we know not to do it. Now.
- 4:58Speaker 1: In the case of Mamdani and very smart guy, when
- 5:01Speaker 1: they show him thirteen other cities did it and was disaster,
- 5:04Speaker 1: why can't he take in that information and calculate all this.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Well, it's the same thing with rent control, right, rent
- 5:13Speaker 3: control has never ever worked anywhere, and so nonetheless, he
- 5:19Speaker 3: is very in favor of capping rent increases on subsidized housing,
- 5:23Speaker 3: even though it has been proven time after time that
- 5:27Speaker 3: what you do is disincentivize landlords from putting any money,
- 5:30Speaker 3: any investment into the housing stock. So basically you end
- 5:34Speaker 3: up with worse off, less affordable, and crumbling housing. So
- 5:40Speaker 3: to your point, why doesn't he learn from that? Why
- 5:43Speaker 3: don't the young people out protesting in favor of socialism
- 5:47Speaker 3: learn from the fact that never error has socialism resulted
- 5:52Speaker 3: in anything but increase poverty and, by the way, increase
- 5:56Speaker 3: wealth disparities. I mean, look at Venezuela, a very good
- 6:00Speaker 3: So the answer to your question is because idiologues like
- 6:04Speaker 3: mom Donnie don't really ever look at facts. They don't
- 6:08Speaker 3: look at common sense answers. They are they are wedded
- 6:12Speaker 3: to an ideological approach, whether it's climate change or just
- 6:17Speaker 3: social justice or whatever that basically is a failure. But
- 6:21Speaker 3: then you know, nobody's around to kind of blame them
- 6:25Speaker 3: for the failure usually, so they just kind of go
- 6:27Speaker 3: on and do what they want. But it's a fact
- 6:30Speaker 3: free zone that Mom Donnie is living in.
- 6:33Speaker 2: It's true.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Is it just childish? That's like a you know, childish teenager.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Is it something sounds good? They do it. They don't
- 6:40Speaker 1: think of the consequences.
- 6:41Speaker 3: So yeah, yes, because because just what you said, there's
- 6:45Speaker 3: no consequences. What are the consequences if he blows a
- 6:49Speaker 3: billion dollars over the next four years on homelessness?
- 6:53Speaker 2: Look at Gavin Newsom?
- 6:54Speaker 3: How much money has Gavin Newsom spent on homeless projects
- 6:59Speaker 3: in California only to see the money disappear, the homeless
- 7:03Speaker 3: population continue to grow, et cetera.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Does any It's incredible to me?
- 7:09Speaker 3: How is it The voters don't say, well, wait a minute,
- 7:11Speaker 3: didn't you just ask for five billion dollars for that?
- 7:14Speaker 3: Where did that money go? Show us the money show us.
- 7:18Speaker 3: You know, let's have accountability. There is never accountability. It
- 7:22Speaker 3: is mystifying.
- 7:23Speaker 1: So is the real problem that we don't have legitimate
- 7:26Speaker 1: news organizations anymore. If we had real news and media,
- 7:29Speaker 1: there would be consequences. Newsom would be attached day and night.
- 7:32Speaker 1: So how do you run a democracy with corrupt news?
- 7:36Speaker 2: I think that's part of it.
- 7:37Speaker 3: I actually think what sort of tragic is we have
- 7:39Speaker 3: people who listen to one side or another kind of
- 7:42Speaker 3: depending on their politics. They listen to Fox News, they
- 7:45Speaker 3: listen to you, or they listen to CNN and MS
- 7:50Speaker 3: now or whatever it's called, and people get very little
- 7:53Speaker 3: cross fertilization.
- 7:54Speaker 2: I think that's fair, very I read.
- 7:56Speaker 3: I'm sure you read publications on the other side. A
- 8:00Speaker 3: lot of people simply don't. They don't want to know,
- 8:02Speaker 3: they don't want to hear, and you know what, that's
- 8:05Speaker 3: not good for our country. I hope at some point
- 8:08Speaker 3: there really are news organizations that will cover, you know,
- 8:13Speaker 3: stories from both sides. I was listening to was it
- 8:17Speaker 3: Margaret Brennan who interviewed elan Omar yesterday?
- 8:21Speaker 2: You know, and you just want to kind of put
- 8:22Speaker 2: your head through the wall.
- 8:23Speaker 3: It's like, really you're not going to challenge her on
- 8:26Speaker 3: the fact that the Somalis have been perpetuating these frauds.
- 8:30Speaker 2: But by the way, it's not that big a community.
- 8:32Speaker 3: If there were hundreds of people, which probably there were
- 8:35Speaker 3: involved in scamming of the three different programs, they acted
- 8:41Speaker 3: like it was just one three different programs that they
- 8:43Speaker 3: took billions of dollars from. Don't you think an awful
- 8:46Speaker 3: lot of Somalis knew what was going on? I do,
- 8:49Speaker 3: And and for her to just sort of accept that, oh, yeah,
- 8:53Speaker 3: Somalis really are the victims here, I don't know, it's
- 8:56Speaker 3: pretty discouraging.
- 8:59Speaker 1: She was funnyes day. Whatever idiotic explanation Omar gave, she
- 9:02Speaker 1: just nodded like a bubblehead.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Yeah, just nodded, right.
- 9:05Speaker 3: I Mean, it's like the best but the best media
- 9:09Speaker 3: breakout yesterday was Leslie Stall deciding that Marjorie Taylor Green
- 9:15Speaker 3: was the person she needed to interview for sixty minutes.
- 9:18Speaker 3: So Marjorie Taylor Green, someone who has been totally widely chastised, debunked,
- 9:25Speaker 3: criticized on the left, loads on the left as being
- 9:29Speaker 3: a conspiracy theorist and all the rest. Now she's acceptable
- 9:33Speaker 3: because she's gonna blast Donald Trump.
- 9:35Speaker 2: I mean, really, isn't that just incredible?
- 9:38Speaker 1: Yeah? Pretty pretty transparent thought. Oh my gosh, well, great stuff. Hey,
- 9:42Speaker 1: everybody should go to lizpeak dot com P E e K.
