- 0:09Speaker 2: we hit Johnstown and BUCkies the final first time I
- 0:14Speaker 2: made my way into the BUCkies up there.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Missed you well, the beaver.
- 0:20Speaker 1: The beaber. The beaver and I just met.
- 0:22Speaker 4: Actually well I knew that he heard about you. So
- 0:24Speaker 4: I'm glad you finally made your way up there. They've
- 0:26Speaker 4: got great stuff that they really.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Do, And we were there around breakfast time.
- 0:30Speaker 2: So Nick Nat got the burrito with brisket in the
- 0:33Speaker 2: breakfast burrito. Yeah, hells to the Yes, Yes, she chose wisely.
- 0:40Speaker 1: I chose the one.
- 0:40Speaker 2: It was like the biggest breakfast burrito they had, which
- 0:44Speaker 2: is just had like bacon and tater tots in it
- 0:47Speaker 2: and eggs and so good.
- 0:48Speaker 4: Though diet starts today, yeah.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Now we eat clean.
- 0:53Speaker 1: But that brisket up there is pretty darn tasty.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Oh it's so good.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Use the bathroom unreal.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Isn't it gray with the lights on it and everything.
- 1:02Speaker 1: The lights on the stalls.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Awesome, unbelievable.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I could have ate the burrito off that toilet
- 1:08Speaker 1: in he was.
- 1:09Speaker 4: So glean right, what is it about that gas station
- 1:13Speaker 4: that just fascinating makes you want to live there?
- 1:15Speaker 1: Nicole bought a beaver. She bought a stuffy.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Oh that's it's a Buddies with the Uncle Sam hat
- 1:21Speaker 2: on it, and he's holding America two fifty banner and
- 1:23Speaker 2: he's like in a little shirt that stars in stripes.
- 1:26Speaker 1: She's like, I'm buying this, Yeah, you have to.
- 1:27Speaker 3: And it was probably only like twenty bucks.
- 1:29Speaker 1: It's fifteen dollars.
- 1:30Speaker 4: See, it's the best of the best prices, the best food.
- 1:33Speaker 2: And it was like unofficial mascot for the entire road trip.
- 1:36Speaker 2: It was sitting up in the like on the dash.
- 1:39Speaker 2: She was like getting pictures.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Of it, various prouder, like a little old lady.
- 1:45Speaker 1: I knew it was going to be good, though, because
- 1:47Speaker 1: they got what do you call.
- 1:48Speaker 2: That counter there where everyone's working behind it. What would
- 1:51Speaker 2: you call it, like.
- 1:51Speaker 3: A hot pin deli counter?
- 1:53Speaker 1: It's deli, yeah, oh, the hot bar.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Hot bar about.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, and everybody behind it working. Yeah.
- 2:00Speaker 3: They have a few of those bars.
- 2:01Speaker 2: They have the ft bar, yeah, the hot bar, specifically
- 2:05Speaker 2: talking about the meat bar, like, you know it's gonna
- 2:08Speaker 2: be good. When I was looking over the counter, and
- 2:10Speaker 2: I'm not trying to be mean, but there was a
- 2:12Speaker 2: large man back there. Yeah, and he was stained from
- 2:17Speaker 2: top to bottom with barcue. He's making your and barbecue,
- 2:22Speaker 2: so I don't know. He was stained like crazy.
- 2:24Speaker 1: He's got tests. He had multiple shelves that things were
- 2:27Speaker 1: dropping on all right. And I just looked at that guy.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I go, this is gonna be good good. And he
- 2:34Speaker 1: looked at me and he gave me a little wink.
- 2:38Speaker 3: I know what you're doing for I.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Was looking at the brisket, looking at him, looking at
- 2:41Speaker 1: the brisket, and he goes wink.
- 2:43Speaker 2: I was like, oh, hell, he's gonna be damn good.
- 2:46Speaker 2: I'm already pitting out a little bit. It's gonna be
- 2:48Speaker 2: like ninety five degrees today. I'm not even joking, Katie.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Believe you man, it's going all over the place.
- 2:56Speaker 1: It's gonna be toasty.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Stick around, have some fun with us here. At seven thirty,
- 3:01Speaker 2: we're gonna probably be playing fast five with some Hillary
- 3:04Speaker 2: Duff concert tickets up for grabs now because it is
- 3:07Speaker 2: going to be so hot. I don't know if you
- 3:08Speaker 2: want to celebrate National Mac and Cheese.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Day, but this is it. Today's the day.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Bruh.
- 3:16Speaker 1: There's this list.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Out today how to make the perfect mac and cheese
- 3:21Speaker 2: or perr as Katie's daughter say.
- 3:23Speaker 1: We're gonna get into that in a second. The noodles.
- 3:27Speaker 2: They're saying, spirals are the clear winner when it comes
- 3:30Speaker 2: to mac and cheese.
- 3:31Speaker 1: I don't think so. The spirals fall apart. Yeah, I
- 3:34Speaker 1: want the regular little.
- 3:35Speaker 3: You like the elbow macaroni elbow, that's the one.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Cheese. Cheddar came in at number one. Of course.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Spices, pepper, dry mustard, paprika, dijon, mustard, garlic powder.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Meat is about two thirds of people surveyed say they
- 3:51Speaker 2: don't want any meat in their mac and cheese. Keep
- 3:53Speaker 2: it classic. Although I was just showing you guys a
- 3:55Speaker 2: picture of some mac and cheese I had out in Wyoming.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Risk it on the side. That's a pretty solid combination.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Absolutely vegetables. Do you even need to cover that?
- 4:04Speaker 3: Don't put g's in your maggag gee.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Don't be an idiot. What kind of dairy they say?
- 4:09Speaker 1: The most popular answer was whole milk. Put some whole
- 4:12Speaker 1: milk in it.
- 4:14Speaker 2: And then the cooking style is oven baked is the
- 4:18Speaker 2: most popular.
- 4:18Speaker 4: That's where it gets hard though, Like a good mac
- 4:20Speaker 4: and cheese is not as easy as it sounds because
- 4:23Speaker 4: to get the noodles the perfect consistency and then the
- 4:26Speaker 4: cheese sauce, and then when you mix all that together
- 4:28Speaker 4: and you put it in the oven a lot of
- 4:30Speaker 4: times that'll dry it out, so you have to be
- 4:32Speaker 4: careful about keeping it nice and creamy.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Yeah, yes, there's a.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Science celebrate National Mac and Cheese Day today.
- 4:42Speaker 1: So speaking of your daughter, saying, what is it perr
- 4:45Speaker 1: all the time? What the hell is that all about?
- 4:46Speaker 4: So we went up to New York City and we
- 4:49Speaker 4: were hanging out, so baby Nana, she's about to be
- 4:51Speaker 4: twenty three, and then we had a little thirteen year
- 4:53Speaker 4: old with us and they were both talking in these
- 4:56Speaker 4: like languages where I was like, uh, and it's funny
- 4:58Speaker 4: baby not not reverted back to a small child when
- 5:01Speaker 4: she was hanging around with this kid. So it was
- 5:03Speaker 4: just like like all of the verbiage too much. So
- 5:07Speaker 4: one they're talking in emoji, so they like look at
- 5:10Speaker 4: each other and like, oh sad face emoji, oh happy
- 5:12Speaker 4: face emoji, dolphin emoji, like random emojis the whole trip.
- 5:17Speaker 3: And I was just like.
- 5:19Speaker 4: I did a few I did a few times and
- 5:21Speaker 4: then they told on me.
- 5:23Speaker 3: I was like, man, but then the.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Other thing was hold on, that is a thing to
- 5:28Speaker 2: be talking just heart emoji.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Yes.
- 5:31Speaker 4: And then so then I talked em I tried to
- 5:34Speaker 4: like be a part of it. And so I was
- 5:36Speaker 4: like I love this so much heart emoji and they
- 5:38Speaker 4: rolled their eyes.
- 5:39Speaker 3: They're like rolling eyes emoji.
- 5:40Speaker 1: I was like, ah, combs down emoji, part of little
- 5:45Speaker 1: old Lady emoji.
- 5:46Speaker 4: So then, but with the Perr, it is essentially saying
- 5:50Speaker 4: perfect but not saying it all the way. And where
- 5:52Speaker 4: it really caught me off guard as we were in
- 5:54Speaker 4: Lake George and little Baby Nana was asking someone about
- 5:57Speaker 4: a tattoo and it was this big, huge hiker dude
- 6:00Speaker 4: covered in tattoos and she's like, so, what are your prices?
- 6:03Speaker 3: And he was breaking it down for and she's like, oh, per.
- 6:08Speaker 4: He was like, he's just totally taken aback. I looked
- 6:14Speaker 4: at him and I was like, I've been dealing with
- 6:16Speaker 4: this the whole time. You're like, I don't know what
- 6:19Speaker 4: to tell you, but it just it really makes me
- 6:23Speaker 4: one feel like I am a little disconnected.
- 6:26Speaker 2: No, it makes you feel like a grown adult they
- 6:28Speaker 2: can communicate properly and not sound like an idiot daughter.
- 6:33Speaker 3: But that's like the younger generation.
- 6:35Speaker 4: Like they talk in acronyms, right, l O l l
- 6:38Speaker 4: M A O like they they the the way they
- 6:40Speaker 4: speak is so different from us.
- 6:43Speaker 3: But I don't want that to be like a barrier, right.
- 6:46Speaker 4: I want to know you want to sit.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Your daughter down and be like, can you stop doing that?
- 6:52Speaker 4: Just a perfect two syllables, true adulthood.
- 6:57Speaker 1: You need to stop, I know. Stop.
- 7:00Speaker 4: It was fun for her too, because we were all
- 7:01Speaker 4: on vacation, right, so she was just acting a fool
- 7:04Speaker 4: because we're nobody knows her here.
- 7:07Speaker 1: I'm never gonna see these people. I'm a cat, right,
- 7:11Speaker 1: it was annoying.
- 7:12Speaker 2: The one in my house is I don't know if
- 7:15Speaker 2: this is an inside joke or something that I just
- 7:18Speaker 2: don't know about, but it's Derby. My son and his
- 7:21Speaker 2: buddy are constantly saying Derby. I might be cussing Derbyrby.
- 7:29Speaker 2: So they're like always trying to get me to say it.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Then I'll say it, then they giggle, you know, and
- 7:34Speaker 2: so like everything on this trip, I was just throwing it.
- 7:36Speaker 1: In was Derby. That's Dirby. So I don't know you
- 7:42Speaker 1: know what that is.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Maybe somebody can text me and let me know what
- 7:45Speaker 2: Derby is right now. And then they're doing this oose
- 7:48Speaker 2: thing where they go oose and they like slap you
- 7:50Speaker 2: under your gobbler, like under your chin. And that's like
- 7:53Speaker 2: a thing where they try to catch people off guard.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Now and they go ooh and they slap you. I know,
- 8:00Speaker 2: I shove him down.
- 8:02Speaker 3: I would do the same.
- 8:04Speaker 1: This is my new trick. I shove you down exactly.
- 8:06Speaker 3: We're gonna fun you.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Yeah, it's derby and oose.
- 8:09Speaker 4: No, when they take things that like we're not bad
- 8:12Speaker 4: for us and they make them bad. Another one is unk,
- 8:15Speaker 4: Like they say that you're so unk right now, and
- 8:18Speaker 4: I'm like, uncle is a good thing for us, Like.
- 8:20Speaker 3: You know what uncle in the hood?
- 8:23Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 8:25Speaker 2: You are?
- 8:26Speaker 3: You're so unk right now?
- 8:27Speaker 1: And I hate that too, don't like I want to
- 8:30Speaker 1: be unk?
- 8:30Speaker 3: No, you don't.
- 8:31Speaker 2: The other thing my son is doing, and again this
- 8:33Speaker 2: could be an inside thing, is he's doing this thing
- 8:35Speaker 2: where he goes, Dude, I don't know what I'm trying
- 8:39Speaker 2: to do it. So if somebody sneezes, he goes, or
- 8:44Speaker 2: if you cough, he goes, and I'm like, stop that,
- 8:48Speaker 2: because if we're in public, like some reason, I think
- 8:50Speaker 2: you have like tourette.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I know something.
- 8:52Speaker 3: When you're doing it, I think.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Like, apologies everybody with Tourette's, but you're right, like it's
- 8:59Speaker 2: so weird.
- 9:00Speaker 3: It's just weird, and it's just like, I don't know
- 9:04Speaker 3: what you're trying to do.
- 9:05Speaker 2: But please stop stop right now? So is anyone else
- 9:13Speaker 2: terrified of lettuce right now?
- 9:15Speaker 1: A bit? I'm kind of out of the loop. I
- 9:18Speaker 1: didn't really know a lot of.
- 9:19Speaker 2: This was going on because I've been in parts of
- 9:21Speaker 2: the country with the essentially zero cell signal and I
- 9:25Speaker 2: just have been off of social which has been fantastic.
- 9:29Speaker 2: But I come back to find out that lettuce is
- 9:33Speaker 2: full of something called the cyclospora parasite. I guess right now,
- 9:39Speaker 2: and I'm reading this, I'm like, oh crap. Literally, yeah,
- 9:43Speaker 2: I had lettuce last night because I made tacos, and yeah,
- 9:46Speaker 2: we chopped up the lettuce.
- 9:48Speaker 1: And put it on the tacos. I'm like, oh, did
- 9:50Speaker 1: we did we get bad lettuce?
- 9:52Speaker 2: But it turns out that it's mostly whole heads of lettuce.
- 9:58Speaker 2: No check that it's the bad and solid mixes that
- 10:01Speaker 2: you mainly need to worry about.
- 10:03Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 10:03Speaker 2: And then when it comes to the whole heads of lettuce,
- 10:06Speaker 2: they're saying that you should be peeling off the outer layers,
- 10:09Speaker 2: I guess, and get deeper into the lettuce. There's less
- 10:12Speaker 2: concern there of getting this parasite, I guess. But you
- 10:16Speaker 2: get uncontrollable, explosive, watery diarrhea, which actually sounds com It
- 10:22Speaker 2: sounds awful, such refreshing after eating your son for two.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Weeks, sounds great.
- 10:28Speaker 4: You bought stuff from nineteen eighty five, like it's.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Hot, body aggs, cramps, bloating, nausea. It essentially sounds like
- 10:38Speaker 2: me on a daily basis for weeks.
- 10:41Speaker 4: It's like you are sick with and then you don't
- 10:43Speaker 4: even know because like you could get sick with it,
- 10:46Speaker 4: and then it couldn't hit you and tell two weeks
- 10:48Speaker 4: later is what they're saying, Like you could eat something
- 10:51Speaker 4: and it could sit with you, and then two weeks
- 10:53Speaker 4: later when you crap your pants, like.
- 10:55Speaker 3: What, it's just so out, it's just too much, too much.
- 11:00Speaker 2: I've been eating at restaurants for quite a while. The
- 11:02Speaker 2: watering diarrhea sounds very refreshing.
- 11:07Speaker 1: You know, you might find me out in the parking
- 11:10Speaker 1: lot eating ahead of lettuce later today.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Tent yeah, because I just kind of feel like I'm
- 11:16Speaker 2: really full right now.
- 11:18Speaker 4: I was on vacation when I heard of it too.
- 11:20Speaker 4: I was not on social media. I didn't know anything
- 11:23Speaker 4: about it, and somebody messaged me and was like, have
- 11:25Speaker 4: you heard about the explosive diarrhea? And I was like
- 11:29Speaker 4: what what? It is insane to me that this is
- 11:32Speaker 4: something we're all worried about it.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Everybody's terrified right now. I'm reading all the stories. They
- 11:37Speaker 2: are pulling a lot of this from store shelves. If
- 11:40Speaker 2: you go to fast food places and maybe you could
- 11:42Speaker 2: yourself cheeseburger and it typically has lettuce on it, you
- 11:44Speaker 2: probably won't right now.
- 11:47Speaker 1: So just avoid let us.
- 11:49Speaker 2: For a little bit, which is fine, I guess unless
- 11:51Speaker 2: you're really into salad.
- 11:52Speaker 4: No, And then they're saying, like to be able to
- 11:54Speaker 4: combat it because even the produce, because there's still a
- 11:56Speaker 4: small risk, but washing these things, so.
- 11:59Speaker 3: You know how long this is to wash them? A while,
- 12:01Speaker 3: six minutes.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Put it through your dish washing. Nobody you're supposed to.
- 12:08Speaker 1: And I'm thinking, like last night I just went swish
- 12:10Speaker 1: swish under the water.
- 12:11Speaker 4: It's fine, I do an extra little swish swish, but
- 12:14Speaker 4: not six minutes.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Wonder world. This is gross. It is scary.
- 12:18Speaker 2: I mean especially if you get like a little kid
- 12:20Speaker 2: it gets it or something like that. I can definitely
- 12:22Speaker 2: be deadly for a small child. I remember watching this
- 12:25Speaker 2: happened a few years ago where every everyone had to
- 12:27Speaker 2: pull the lettuce because it got so infested with some
- 12:30Speaker 2: sort of bacteria. And I watched a Netflix special on
- 12:33Speaker 2: it and they traced it back to one major farm
- 12:37Speaker 2: that was growing lettuce. And the farm was right next
- 12:40Speaker 2: to stockyards. I mean like they had like a little
- 12:44Speaker 2: berm separating the stockyard from the lettuce field. And it
- 12:49Speaker 2: turns out like all the sewage and water and waste
- 12:52Speaker 2: from the stockyards was seeping through into the lettuce patch
- 12:57Speaker 2: and that's how the lettuce was getting infected.
- 13:00Speaker 1: And I'm like, did nobody notice this? Like where they
- 13:03Speaker 1: were putting the lettuce farm.
- 13:05Speaker 4: I think that would have been like when they engineered
- 13:07Speaker 4: the whole thing, Like maybe, yeah, you think somebody.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Billy Bob the farmer was be like, y'all don't know,
- 13:13Speaker 2: there's a good idea.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Yeah, we got a little poopy runoff going into.
- 13:17Speaker 3: The lettuce, but the cows crap there. Yeah, something as
- 13:21Speaker 3: simple as that would helps things.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Now we'repping. You've been warned about the lettuce. Everybody
