- 0:01First Corinthians chapter 15 Let us pray.
- 0:08Our God, you are higher than any other our God, you are more
- 0:13mightier than any other God. We serve you, Lord, we honor
- 0:18you. We worship you in spirit and
- 0:21truth. God, we are here for you and you
- 0:23alone. Lord, I pray in the name of
- 0:26Jesus for many to be saved today.
- 0:29I pray in the name of Jesus for many to see their need for
- 0:32repentance today. God, I pray in the name of Jesus
- 0:36for the church to rise up and to be the church in this hour.
- 0:40God, we wake up. O sleeper.
- 0:43Lord, I pray for revival rain to come down.
- 0:46God, I pray that it'll produce a fruit.
- 0:49I pray that the laborers are many.
- 0:51I pray God that we are locked eyes locked step with you,
- 0:55Father, and you alone. God, we stiff arm all the cares
- 0:59of this world, Lord. We stiff arm death and disease,
- 1:02God. We stiff arm poverty, God, We
- 1:05stiff arm luxury. God, we stiff arm our full
- 1:09bellies. God, we stiff arm our comforts,
- 1:13Father. In all of our wants and desires,
- 1:16Lord, and all of our preferences, God, we lay all of
- 1:19it down at the foot of the cross.
- 1:21God, we take up the full armor. Father, we take up the cross
- 1:26today. Lord, we go into certain areas
- 1:31of darkness and death. Father, we do not care anything
- 1:35for our lives and for this world.
- 1:37God, we are not cowards. God, we storm the hill.
- 1:40Father, we take back enemy territory in the name of Jesus
- 1:43Christ, we're indwelled with the Holy Spirit.
- 1:46Father, I pray God for power from on high God, resurrection
- 1:51power from on high. God, I pray for a fresh wind to
- 1:54blow through this camp. Father, I pray fresh fire God
- 1:58and fresh filling today as we have fresh surrender today.
- 2:04We surrender to all of your will and all of your ways, all of
- 2:08your promises. God Almighty, as we open up your
- 2:11word today, let your word jump into our hearts and minds.
- 2:15God, I pray in the name of Jesus that you will help us to be men
- 2:19and women of faith today. God, increase our faith today
- 2:23for you and for all of your promises.
- 2:25Increase our love for you today. God, God the Father and God the
- 2:30Son, God the Holy Ghost, we honor and praise you.
- 2:35Father, we love you. King Jesus, we thank you.
- 2:38Holy Spirit, come and be our teacher, be our guide, correct
- 2:41us and discipline us. Today helped us to see the error
- 2:46of our ways. Lord, I pray in the name of
- 2:48Jesus that I will decrease as you increase and that it'll
- 2:52always be about you. It's always been about you.
- 2:55And so Lord, we say yes and Amen to all of your ways and all of
- 2:59your will and all of your promises.
- 3:01And Lord, I get out of the way, Let the Holy Spirit guide today.
- 3:05We love you, King Jesus, you teach us what it is that you
- 3:08want us to know for this day, for this hour.
- 3:11We do not worry about tomorrow. We let today worry about itself.
- 3:15And so, yes, Father, we love you and we praise you in this, in
- 3:19Jesus Christ, holy and precious name that I pray, Amen.
- 3:27Well, let's start in verse one. Moreover, brothers, I declare
- 3:37unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also
- 3:42you have received, and where and you stand.
- 3:48What is the Gospel? The gospel is nothing more than
- 3:53the good news of what Jesus Christ did for us.
- 3:59A perfect, sinless man who came as a little baby, who lived a
- 4:05perfect life and went and died a criminal's death and was buried
- 4:15three days later, resurrected. And he is the atonement for our
- 4:20sins. He is the only way that we're
- 4:22going to stand before Almighty God.
- 4:26He is the only way that we're going to be ushered into
- 4:29paradise. He's the only way that we're
- 4:31going to be forgiven for every single sin that we are
- 4:35committing, have committed or will commit for the rest of our
- 4:39lives, for all times sake, for all of humanity.
- 4:43He is the only one that could make a way.
- 4:47Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life and no one
- 4:51comes unto the Father except through me.
- 4:54That is the good news is that he made a way where there was no
- 4:57way friends and it pleased God to crush him.
- 5:01Verse 2 by which also you are saved, if you keep in memory
- 5:12what I preached to you, unless you have believed in vain.
- 5:16There are many who came to the Lord out of an emotional
- 5:20response. And as soon as persecution rises
- 5:23up, as soon as Christianity is no longer popular, they fall
- 5:27away. And you can see that there was
- 5:31no substance to their faith. There was no substance to their
- 5:35decision to follow Christ. They were shallow, and they let
- 5:39the tares and the cares and the snares of this life entangle and
- 5:44drag them away off into the pit of despair. 34I delivered unto
- 5:50you, first of all, that which I also received, how that Christ
- 5:55died for our sins, according to the Scripture.
- 5:58So you can see here Paul received the good news of the
- 6:02Lord Jesus Christ and it was all based upon the Scriptures.
- 6:06And Paul was a very learned man, a Pharisee of the Pharisees, and
- 6:10he could look back at all of the Old Testament and see how every
- 6:14bit of it pointed towards Jesus the Christ four, and that he was
- 6:22buried and that he rose again the third day according to the
- 6:27scriptures. So we can see here that he was
- 6:30brutally murdered at the hands of the Romans and out of envy of
- 6:35the Jews. And you can see here that they
- 6:38laid him in a tomb, a rich man's tomb, Joseph of Arimathea's
- 6:44tomb, friends. But as he told them and
- 6:49prophesied about, on the third day he rose from the dead.
- 6:54Death had no claim on him. Hell could not hold him.
- 7:00He resurrected and we will rise to the same resurrection power
- 7:05that lives in Jesus Christ lives in US.
- 7:10Friends, that is what you need to understand.
- 7:14He's not going to leave us in the grave.
- 7:16We will rise. We will be resurrected unto
- 7:20eternity with our new bodies. He's going to talk about it
- 7:23here. Five and that he was seen of
- 7:28Cephas then of the 12. So here he appeared to Peter in
- 7:35a private moment before his public reinstitution of Jesus,
- 7:44when he asked him on the beach when he was cooking the fish.
- 7:47And he said, Peter, do you love me?
- 7:49Peter, do you love me? Peter, do you love me?
- 7:52He had already. That was not the first time that
- 7:55Peter had met up with him according to scriptures.
- 7:58Peter had met with him prior and that is an unknown fact for many
- 8:06believers. But here Scripture interprets
- 8:09Scripture line upon line, friends, and we need to
- 8:12understand precept upon precept. You need to understand what does
- 8:17the Word of God say? And here it is telling us that
- 8:21he appeared to Cephas and then to the 12 6 After that he was
- 8:29seen of about 500 brothers at once, of whom the greater part
- 8:36remain under this present, but some are falling asleep.
- 8:40So here Paul is saying go check the track record.
- 8:43There are people that are still alive that you can go and ask
- 8:46and get eyewitness accounts, which is credible in the court
- 8:50of law. Friends, especially in the
- 8:52Jewish customs or two come together in agreement.
- 8:57Then they could know that it was a truth.
- 9:01And so therefore he's saying there are the majority of 500
- 9:05people who saw Jesus Christ in his resurrected body who could
- 9:11tell you that they did. So then he's talking about
- 9:18falling asleep. We're going to learn some more
- 9:20about that as we go through. 7 After that he was seen of James
- 9:24and then of all the apostles. Think about it, friends.
- 9:28So James, this brother of Jesus who grew up with him, he did not
- 9:34think that he was the Messiah. Whenever Jesus was in his
- 9:37earthly ministry, he was trying to get him to go up to Jerusalem
- 9:41before his time. And then you could see here
- 9:43something quick, something changed, something snapped, and
- 9:47James became a prominent leader in the Jerusalem church.
- 9:52Friends, what happened? Well, he's going to tell us
- 9:57about it in his epistle to us, the book of James.
- 10:01Let's keep moving. Eight and last of all, he was
- 10:06seen of me also as of one born out of due time.
- 10:12So Paul is humble and practices humility.
- 10:16But we know that Paul had a very special calling placed upon his
- 10:20life as he went off into Arabia for 12 years to learn of God's
- 10:27ways from Jesus. We know that during his three
- 10:31day fast, when he was on straight St. before Ananias came
- 10:35and the scales fell off his eyes, he was receiving from
- 10:39Jesus himself all the things that he must suffer.
- 10:43And so we know that Paul is a super St.
- 10:48He's a super apostle in regards to the other 12.
- 10:54He did not have the three-year gestation period of trying to
- 10:58figure it all out. He actually was able to receive
- 11:03directly from the Lord. And here we are eternally
- 11:07blessed by more than 1/3 of the New Testament being written by
- 11:14Paul. How amazing is God Almighty to
- 11:18give us His inspired God breathed words pinned from Paul
- 11:26from this calling that he's referencing here.
- 11:31He was born out of due time. 9 For I am the least of the
- 11:36apostles, that I am not mean to be called an apostle because I
- 11:40persecuted the Church of God. That is Paul and his humility.
- 11:44And he is saying that I'm not even worthy to tie his shoes, to
- 11:48unlatch his sandals. He's saying that he persecuted
- 11:54the early church, and so it grieved him in his mind that he
- 11:58would even succumb to such violence to the believers of our
- 12:02Lord Jesus Christ. 10 But by the grace of God, I am what I am,
- 12:12and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain, but I
- 12:18labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the
- 12:23grace of God which was with me. So he knows that it was only by
- 12:27the grace of God that he learned as much as he did, and that he
- 12:31worked as much as he has. And here He is letting you know
- 12:35that when you come unto the Lord, it's work, it's out in the
- 12:39harvest, it's the missionary heart, friends, it's going out.
- 12:43It's not sitting on the sidelines.
- 12:45It's not sitting on your blessed assurance.
- 12:47It is putting your hand to the plow, which denotes work.
- 12:51Friends, so many times you see these great men of faith that
- 12:55are called into ministry while they are busily working.
- 13:05Think about it friends, perhaps God does not call the lazy into
- 13:11ministry. Must not be lazy, not be
- 13:16gluttonous. Don't put your hand in the bowl
- 13:19and be so lazy. Just you don't even put your
- 13:22hand back to your mouth. Consider the Ant.
- 13:30It was the grace of God that was with Paul and taught him and
- 13:37fueled him for all of his missionary efforts and journeys.
- 13:4211 Therefore, whether it were I or they, so we preach and so you
- 13:47believed. He's saying no matter how it
- 13:50comes to you, it doesn't change the fact of the matter of what
- 13:54we're preaching and what we're about and what this whole thing
- 13:57is about, which is Jesus Christ our Lord and our Messiah.
- 14:02Believe upon him and be saved today.
- 14:04Call upon that name and be saved.
- 14:08Believe that God raised him from the dead and be saved today. 12
- 14:12Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say
- 14:17some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
- 14:21So they're saying that, yeah, perhaps Jesus rose from the
- 14:26dead, but that does not mean that we will.
- 14:28And they have adopted this sad, you see spirit where they're
- 14:33trying to turn their backs on the spiritual.
- 14:38And here Paul is going to correct them and he's going to
- 14:41correct us and he's also going to comfort us for all time sake
- 14:46by these words. And we are eternally grateful
- 14:48that God chose to reveal this facet of himself to mankind.
- 14:54And this is what we can know about the resurrection, friends.
- 14:58Lock in, pay attention, make notes, underline, highlight it.
- 15:03This is of paramount importance when it comes to the
- 15:07eschatology, when it comes to what's next on the timeline. 13
- 15:16But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not
- 15:21risen? He's saying, how ridiculous is
- 15:23it? You know that Christ is risen,
- 15:25so therefore we will rise, and the same power that rose Jesus
- 15:32from the dead lives in US, friends. 14 And if Christ be not
- 15:37risen, then our preaching is in vain, and your faith is also in
- 15:40vain. Think about it.
- 15:42What is this? Some kind of big religious show?
- 15:46What is this for? Some tax exempt status?
- 15:50What is this for A-401-C3 nonprofit?
- 15:55The notion? Think about it.
- 15:57What is all of this for? If Christ is not risen, shut the
- 16:03doors, lock the doors. If it's all about a show, if
- 16:07it's all about vanity, if it's all about reputation, if it's
- 16:10all about heritage, if it's all about traditions, if it's all
- 16:15about ceremony, shut the doors. Lock the doors, friends, but we
- 16:22preach A risen Christ. He is alive and active and you
- 16:28cannot go to his grave today. You can go to all of the other
- 16:33religious teachers graves which cannot go to Jesus Christ's
- 16:37grave because he is alive today. We serve arisen Lord. 15 Yeah,
- 16:48and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have
- 16:52testified of God that he raised up Christ whom he raised not up.
- 16:57If so be that the dead rise not he's saying this is of utmost
- 17:02importance. You cannot say and you cannot
- 17:05confirm that Jesus Christ appeared to the 500, appeared to
- 17:10the apostles, appeared to the early church, and then turn
- 17:16right around and say that there is no resurrection of the dead.
- 17:2216 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised?
- 17:2717 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is in vain.
- 17:32You are yet in your sins. He's saying if there is no
- 17:36resurrection of Christ, we are still dead in our sins.
- 17:40We're stuck in our trespasses. We have no hope, friends.
- 17:45There's no way to get to God if there is no resurrection power
- 17:50in Christ, 18 Then they also which are falling asleep in
- 17:59Christ are perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in
- 18:06Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
- 18:11If this is all a big game and all we ever get out of it is
- 18:18people's praises in this life, and it's all for nothing, then
- 18:26we are to be pitied above all men.
- 18:30If this life is all that there is, then I would never make it
- 18:37about all the sacrifice that God asks us to make it about.
- 18:43That is what is referenced here, that if this world is all that
- 18:48there is and it's just get it, get it, get it, get it as much
- 18:51as you can, then we are to be pitied as more than anyone.
- 18:56Because we didn't make it about pleasure and we didn't make it
- 19:00about Mammon and we didn't make it about position and power for
- 19:06this life and this life alone as some have.
- 19:10We have made it all about Christ and the resurrected Christ.
- 19:13And our hope is in Christ and our hope is that He went to
- 19:17prepare a place for us. Our hope is that we will get
- 19:21eternal resurrected bodies and be there with Him forevermore.
- 19:27That is our hope. And we stiff arm this world and
- 19:32we preach Christ, and we give up all of our pleasures and
- 19:37pleasantries, we give up all of our preferences, and we serve
- 19:42Him and Him alone. And when you come to Christ, do
- 19:45not be surprised that you are hated and persecuted and killed,
- 19:50because they hated and persecuted and killed Him first.
- 19:52And that is what you get when you come to Christ.
- 19:56And that is why we are to be pitied above most if there is no
- 20:00resurrection from the dead. 20 But now is Christ risen from the
- 20:07dead and become the first fruits of them that slept.
- 20:13Think about it. Christ proved that we will
- 20:17resurrect, that we will get our resurrected new bodies, and he's
- 20:22going to talk about it. 21 percents by man came, death by
- 20:26man came also the resurrection of the dead.
- 20:29So he's talking about in Adam, Adam sold us out to sin and
- 20:34Jesus Christ bought us back. Praise God, he snatched the
- 20:38keys. 224AS in Adam all die, Even so in Christ shall all be
- 20:45made alive. That think about this beautiful
- 20:49exchange that happens when you are a regenerated new creation,
- 20:53when you're born again, Friends, death has no hold on you.
- 20:58You need not fear death and disease and decay.
- 21:02You will live forever, but if you refuse to come to Jesus
- 21:07Christ in this life, it is death forever.
- 21:10It is death a billion times over and you cannot die. 23 but every
- 21:17man in his own order, Christ the first fruit afterward, they that
- 21:24are Christ at his coming. So we know that those that die
- 21:31as a St. and those that are still living will be raised to
- 21:42life at the rapture of the Church and we will get immortal
- 21:51bodies and we will be receiving our rewards during the
- 21:56seven-year tribulation that is happening on the earth.
- 21:59That is what happens to the Saints that are alive and dead
- 22:05whenever He raptures His Church. There are many who are all
- 22:12turned around and confused about this order, but lock in, pay
- 22:16attention to what is being said here. 24 Then comes the end,
- 22:25when he shall delivered up the Kingdom to God, even the Father,
- 22:31when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and
- 22:36power. So he's going to give Jesus
- 22:40Christ his thousand year earthly ministry.
- 22:46So the order of events, friends, is we're just going along
- 22:50following him, telling people about the Lord, and in the
- 22:54moment we're caught up to meet him in the clouds.
- 22:57Those of us who believe both the dead 1st and then us who are
- 23:02living friends, we're caught up for seven years.
- 23:07The earth will be in hell. It'll be worse than it's ever
- 23:11been since the beginning of time.
- 23:13And if God had not made those days short, no one would
- 23:17survive. And there's coming a time that
- 23:20the power is going to be so strong, this powerful delusion
- 23:25is coming on the earth. It'll be so strong that it would
- 23:28even deceive the elect if that were possible.
- 23:31And as we go up to meet him for seven years, we receive our
- 23:35rewards. But most of what we do is wood,
- 23:38hay, and stubble. And what you need to understand
- 23:40that on this earth, there's hell on earth.
- 23:43Friends, for the whole earth, there's hell.
- 23:46Only 3 1/2 years of peace for Jerusalem so that they can
- 23:50rebuild the temple. And then after they rebuild the
- 23:52temple, the Antichrist will demand to be worshipped as God.
- 23:57And it will be hell for Israel too, friends, for 3 1/2 years.
- 24:03And then what you're going to find is that the battle of
- 24:07Armageddon ensues at the end of the seven years and Jesus deals
- 24:11with all the wicked in the world and that ushers in His thousand
- 24:15year peaceful rule and reign on planet earth.
- 24:21And we will be there with him, ruling and reigning with Him
- 24:24friends. And there will be mortals and
- 24:27immortals intermingled into the mix there for the thousand year
- 24:31reign. It'll be what was pictured at
- 24:36the mountain of Transfiguration where the Kingdom of God came to
- 24:40the earth and you had Elijah representing those raptured, and
- 24:45you had Moses, those that were dead and came back to life with
- 24:49immortal bodies. And then you're going to see
- 24:52friends that the disciples were there in their mortal bodies and
- 24:56Jesus was there in all his glory.
- 24:58And that is what the Kingdom will look like for 1000 years.
- 25:02Go back and check the track record, look at the stories
- 25:05throughout the Gospels, and you're going to see it all lines
- 25:08up perfectly and in accordance with scripture.
- 25:11Friends 25 For he must reign till he has put all enemies
- 25:18under his feet. So that is what you're going to
- 25:20understand. He's already dealt with them in
- 25:24Armageddon before the thousand year reign.
- 25:27But there'll be a lot of sycophans during the thousand
- 25:30year reign who give false allegiance to him as the tempter
- 25:34is taking out of the world and put into prison.
- 25:37Satan is in prison for 1000 years, not able to go out and
- 25:42accuse and tempt as he is now, friends.
- 25:46But you need to understand there'll be a lot of false
- 25:49allegiance during that thousand year reign until Satan is re
- 25:53released for a short time. He's going to put all his
- 25:59enemies under his feet for 1000 year reign.
- 26:02And then at the end of the thousand year reign, Satan is re
- 26:05released into the world to gather all those that had false
- 26:09allegiance to Jesus. And then God will deal with them
- 26:14at the very end. And what is he going to do at
- 26:17the very end of the thousand year reign?
- 26:20The great white throne. And what's he going to do?
- 26:23The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
- 26:27Even in the thousand year reign of Christ there is still death.
- 26:31But he says those that die at 100 will be considered a babe.
- 26:35He's going to reinstitute the 900 year plus lifespan during
- 26:40the thousand year reign of Christ.
- 26:42How amazing is our God? This is facts friends.
- 26:47All scripture aligns with it friends, and it is ignorance of
- 26:50the word of God that's plaguing the church more than anything
- 26:54else. We want to be.
- 26:56We want our ears to be tickled friends, We want to be satisfied
- 27:03in our curiosity friends, and we want everything in little spoon
- 27:07filled Nuggets friends. We want these little sound bites
- 27:11in these short videos. Friends 27 For he has put all
- 27:19things under his feet, but when he says all things are put under
- 27:24him, it is manifest that he is accepted which did put all
- 27:31things under him. Jesus Christ is perfectly
- 27:36accepted by God, and all the wrath of God is satisfied at the
- 27:40cross of Christ, Friends. And if you will come to him and
- 27:44get washed in the blood, you will never have to suffer.
- 27:50You will never have to suffer the second death, and you'll
- 27:55never have to suffer death again, Friends. 28 And when all
- 28:04things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also
- 28:10himself be subject unto him, that put all things under him,
- 28:15that God may be All in all. So what you're going to see when
- 28:19you get to the end of the Book of Revelation is that God comes
- 28:23down to be our God, and that everything is subject unto him.
- 28:28And you can see that the Son always glorifies the Father, and
- 28:33you can see that the Holy Spirit always points us to the Son.
- 28:38And you can see this great community of God the Father and
- 28:41God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. 3:00 and 1:00 And they
- 28:45are always pointing to each other, and they are always
- 28:48honoring each other. And that is such a picture for
- 28:54you and for me, that we should be pointing everyone to Christ,
- 28:58and we should also be honoring one another above the other, and
- 29:03always thinking of others as better than ourselves. 29 Else
- 29:10what shall they do which are baptized for the dead?
- 29:13If the dead rise not at all, why are they then baptized for the
- 29:19dead? So you need to understand that
- 29:22this is not teaching some kind of Mormon Catholic doctrine.
- 29:30This purgatory or being able to baptize, be back the living
- 29:35baptized to help save the dead. This is Pagan practices that
- 29:42Paul is referencing and he's saying here, do not even count
- 29:47it as anything. There is no such thing of it
- 29:50all, and he's wanting these early Christians to understand
- 29:55that there is for sure 100% a resurrection of the dead,
- 30:03friends, and to not try to buy into all the Pagan teachings of
- 30:09any kind of baptizing of the dead to get out of hell.
- 30:13That is heretical, friends, and it is not biblical friends.
- 30:17And Paul here is showing them the air of their way.
- 30:22There is no such thing, and that is a period and not a comma.
- 30:28And we need to make sure that while we still have breath in
- 30:35our lungs, we get right with God.
- 30:38If you were to take your last breath, or if anybody that you
- 30:41know or have known or will know ever take their last breath
- 30:47without placing their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, there is
- 30:51no more hope for them beyond this life.
- 30:55Your fate is sealed the moment that you take your last breath.
- 31:00Or whenever He calls the Saints home Friends and you also need
- 31:05to know that during the seven-year tribulation after the
- 31:09rapture of the Church. There will be opportunity to
- 31:13come to the Lord Jesus Christ. However, all of the things that
- 31:18were prescribed that the people who are mid tribbers and post,
- 31:27all of those people who say that we'll go up in the middle of the
- 31:31tribulation or we'll go up at the end of the tribulation, they
- 31:36will have to suffer. All the things that the Bible
- 31:38says that we'll go through. And it is sad that they will not
- 31:43come to him in the fullness of faith.
- 31:47They're only coming to Him in part, friends, because whenever
- 31:51you fully come to the Lord Jesus Christ with all your strength,
- 31:55with all your mind, with all your heart, He will be pleased
- 31:58to give you His perfect and pleasing plan.
- 32:01For all of Tom's sake, friends, and it will be congruent and
- 32:05it'll all make sense and it will all become synonymous as you
- 32:09read through the entirety of God's Word.
- 32:12It all points to us, friends, that we will go up prior to the
- 32:17seven-year tribulation. 30 And why stand we in jeopardy every
- 32:26hour? 31 I protest by your rejoicing,
- 32:30which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- 32:33I die daily. That is our call, friends, to
- 32:36die to self. He's saying, if all of this is
- 32:40just a bunch of religious text, if we're just trying to
- 32:46institute some kind of new religion, then it is all for
- 32:51nothing and it is all for naughty, and we are to be
- 32:53pitied. But he's saying, but for the
- 32:56truth that I have received, I willingly died daily.
- 33:01I lay down my life daily to live his Christ and to die his gain.
- 33:0832 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at
- 33:13Ephesus, what advantage it me if the dead rise, not let us eat
- 33:19and drink, for tomorrow we die. He's saying, what is all this
- 33:22persecution for if we're not going to rise and receive
- 33:27immortal bodies that live forever?
- 33:31He's saying that if that is the case, just live for the here and
- 33:34for the now and for the pleasure of now, and for money and greed
- 33:38and gain. Just live for yourself today.
- 33:41Live for your belly today if there is nothing beyond this 33
- 33:49Be not deceived. Evil communications corrupt good
- 33:54manners. So he's saying that we need to
- 33:56guard our tongues. That is why you have two ears,
- 34:02friends, is because you only have one mouth, and that is
- 34:07because we are to guard our speech.
- 34:10Do not be flippant with your speech.
- 34:15Think about how your character and witness is diminished
- 34:20whenever you make off color comments to people.
- 34:25You do it for acceptance, but it all it does is actually leads
- 34:32those people to not trust you. 34 awake to righteousness sin
- 34:41not for some have not the knowledge of God.
- 34:45I speak this to your shame. There are many Christians who
- 34:49are still babes in Christ, immature in their walk, friends.
- 34:53And you think that you can use your liberty to just go around
- 34:58and say whatever you want to say because it's all under the
- 35:01blood. But he's saying it's shameful
- 35:03because you're leading people into immaturity.
- 35:07He's saying, wake up, O sleeper, and see that heaven and hell
- 35:11hang in the balance, friends 35 But some man will say, how are
- 35:19the dead raised up and with what body do they come?
- 35:24These are people that are questioning this resurrection
- 35:27from the dead are immortal bodies.
- 35:29They're trying to figure it all out.
- 35:31They're trying to say, well, what if somebody gets cremated?
- 35:34What does God do with the ashes? They're trying to say, but what
- 35:40if somebody gets stolen away? What what if they deteriorate
- 35:46into nothing? And he's saying here, don't be
- 35:51ignorant. 36 you fool, that which you sow is not quickened
- 36:02except it die here. I want you to lock in with the
- 36:05idea of a farmer who's planting a row of vegetables and fruit
- 36:12and produce friends. 37 In that which you sow, you sow not that
- 36:22body that shall be, but bare grain.
- 36:24It may chance of, but it may chance of wheat or of some other
- 36:29grain. 38 But God gives it a body, as it has pleased him into
- 36:33every seed, his own body. So that is what you need to
- 36:37understand is that unless the seed gets pushed down into the
- 36:41ground and dies, it does not spring up and produce life and
- 36:46fruit. That is what God has
- 36:50orchestrated. You and I are but bare seeds in
- 36:54these mortal bodies that are decaying and passing away.
- 36:58But we will rise up in our immortal state friends and that
- 37:01is what we push towards. That is why we count the cost.
- 37:06That is why we die to self friends, and we take up our
- 37:10cross and follow Him daily. 39 All flesh is not the same flesh.
- 37:17There is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts,
- 37:22another of fish, and another of birds.
- 37:24He's saying that plants have a body, animals have a body and a
- 37:34soul, but only men have a body, a soul and a spirit.
- 37:40And it is the Spirit of God that goes on to live forever.
- 37:44And it will receive a new body, a holy body.
- 37:49It will receive an immortal body that is uncorruptible and will
- 37:54live forever for all of eternity.
- 37:57Friends 40 There are also celestial bodies and bodies
- 38:03terrestrial, But the glory of the celestial is 1 and the glory
- 38:08of the terrestrial is another. Think about it, friends.
- 38:12God created us out of the dust, He created us out of dirt, and
- 38:19he breathed into Adam. Friends.
- 38:23And then when you and I, but our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ,
- 38:26we were born again and we received the Holy Spirit.
- 38:32We received the Spirit of God, friends.
- 38:36And when these mortal bodies get pushed down into the earth, it
- 38:40is the Holy Spirit that will quicken inside of us and will
- 38:44raise us from the dead into our immortal bodies forever.
- 38:49Forever and ever and ever. For 10,000 years we've been
- 38:54there, and we have no less days to sing his praise. 41 There is
- 39:02one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and
- 39:07another glory of the stars. For one star differs from
- 39:11another star in glory. 42 So also is the resurrection of the
- 39:16dead. It is sown in corruption.
- 39:19It is raised in in corruption, it is sown in dishonor.
- 39:25It is raised in glory, it is sown in weakness.
- 39:30It is raised in power. It is sown a natural body.
- 39:35It is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body and
- 39:39there is a spiritual body. So what Paul is wanting us to
- 39:45know is that we do not need to try to concern ourselves with
- 39:50all of the little interest in all of our curiosity of what
- 39:57will we look like and what age will we be and all of the things
- 40:02that we try to sit down here and try to figure out.
- 40:05Friends. He's saying trust God, that when
- 40:08you became a new creation, you will be raised to life and you
- 40:13will have an immortal body that lives forever.
- 40:17And there will be differings in glory in heaven because it is a
- 40:22different economy there. And we need to make sure from
- 40:25the moment we give our life to Christ to the moment that we are
- 40:29caught up to be with him, or the moment that we die, that we are
- 40:33constantly trying to serve God Almighty with all of our heart,
- 40:38all of our mind, all of our strength.
- 40:41And our rewards will follow that disposition.
- 40:46But if we're working for the rewards, we've already lost the
- 40:49rewards. That is the different glories,
- 40:55the sun and the moon and the stars. 45 And so it is written,
- 41:01the first man, Adam, was made a living soul.
- 41:05The last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
- 41:09So that is what you need to understand is that when Adam
- 41:15willfully disobeyed God by listening to his wife and eating
- 41:21the forbidden fruit, death entered in friends and that is
- 41:25the body and the soul that die. But whenever we are regenerated
- 41:31and born again, friends, we receive this quickening spirit
- 41:36that will raise us from the dead.
- 41:39Friends. 446 Howbeit, that was not first which is spiritual,
- 41:51but that which is natural, and afterward that which is
- 41:54spiritual. That's what Jesus told Nicodemus
- 41:57when he came to him by night, that unless a more, unless a man
- 42:02be born again, he cannot see God, he cannot come to God, he
- 42:09cannot have eternal life. And here Paul is referencing us
- 42:13back there, that first thing, when we're born, we're born with
- 42:17the sin nature, we're born in corruptible bodies.
- 42:23But when we come to the Lord Jesus Christ, we have are given
- 42:27the incorruptible, eternal quickening spirit, the Spirit of
- 42:32God. 47 The first man is of the earth, earthy, the second man is
- 42:42the Lord from heaven. So Jesus came and he made every
- 42:49wrong thing right when it comes to our eternal destinations.
- 42:54He snatched the keys. Death has no hold on us, Hell
- 42:58has no sting. Friends, we just need to trust
- 43:00that God Almighty is going to do what He said and what He
- 43:04promises us. We hold tightly, we hold fastly
- 43:08to the promises of God that we will be resurrected with
- 43:13immortal, incorruptible bodies. We are not earthy any longer.
- 43:23We are heavenly. 48 as is the earthy, Such are they also that
- 43:29are earthy, and as is the heavenly, such are they also
- 43:33that are heavenly 49 And as we have borne the image of the
- 43:38earthy, we all, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
- 43:43Think about it, God gave you the Holy Spirit as a down payment,
- 43:47as a deposit of what is to come. And now we can only see dimly
- 43:52and impartly friends, but we will see in the fullness,
- 43:55friends, and we will be risen and raised up, and we will be
- 43:58resurrected unto immortal life, and we will see him face to
- 44:03face. Praise God, Hallelujah, we love
- 44:06you, Lord Jesus. 50 Now this I say, brothers, that flesh and
- 44:14blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God, Neither does corruption
- 44:18inherit incorruption. That is what you need to know.
- 44:22That is what Jesus was telling Nicodemus there Old Nick at
- 44:26night, is that unless you are born again, you will not inherit
- 44:29the Kingdom of God. 51 Behold, I show you a mystery.
- 44:38We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.
- 44:43So those that die as a St. that have received the Holy Ghost and
- 44:50then they die and those that are still alive that have the Holy
- 44:57Ghost will all be changed. Those that have received the
- 45:03Holy Spirit, whether in death or in life, will both of them will
- 45:07be changed. 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the
- 45:15last trump, for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall
- 45:24be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
- 45:29That is, both those that have received the Holy Ghost and
- 45:33died, and those that have received the Holy Ghost and are
- 45:36at that present moment living whenever he raptures the Church
- 45:41up into the clouds. 53 For this corruptible must put on
- 45:47incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality, and
- 45:52that will happen in the twinkling of an eye, at a
- 45:56moment's notice. Friends, we will be given our
- 45:58resurrected bodies instantaneously that have the
- 46:03Holy Ghost. That is the whole marker of the
- 46:06whole situation. And we can debate till the cows
- 46:09come home about all the eschatology, friends.
- 46:12But read it and watch the literal translation, friends.
- 46:17It all comes alive to you. If you will believe every
- 46:20syllable and every jot and every title, and not call any of it
- 46:24into question. Jesus Christ will be well
- 46:26pleased to give you the simple truths of the Word of God.
- 46:31It is plain as the nose on your face.
- 46:33It is black and white, Friends. We read it and we take it at
- 46:37face value and it all is congruent.
- 46:40This beautiful tapestry and scripture support Scripture and
- 46:45it is all line upon line and precept upon precept and it is
- 46:48beautiful friends, and it all adds up.
- 46:51And there's really no thing that is left unto mystery, whenever
- 46:58you come to the Lord God honestly, and He gives you your
- 47:02doctrine. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on
- 47:13incorruption, this mortal shall have put on immortality, then
- 47:19shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is
- 47:24swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your sting?
- 47:29O grave, where is your victory? 56 The sting of death is sin,
- 47:36and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God,
- 47:42which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- 47:46That is the whole crux of the whole situation, of the whole
- 47:49matter. What it all points to.
- 47:51What it's all about is Jesus Christ and what He did, and it
- 47:55is not about what we do. It's all about what He did is a
- 47:59free gift, friends. We must take it though.
- 48:02We must open it. We must receive it, friends.
- 48:05We must get covered in the blood of Jesus Christ so that we can
- 48:10have this incorruptible, eternal body that lives forever and ever
- 48:16and ever and ever. Friends with him and it's all
- 48:21about him. It's not even about eternity.
- 48:24It's not about mansions. It's not about the street of
- 48:27gold. It's not about anything other
- 48:32than Christ and Christ crucified.
- 48:36We'll end on 58. Therefore, my beloved brothers,
- 48:42be used steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of
- 48:50the Lord. For as much as you know that
- 48:55your labor is not in vain in the Lord, that is what you need to
- 48:59understand. Quit trying to be self seeking.
- 49:03Quit trying to show everyone how good of a St. you are.
- 49:08Quit trying to tout your deeds and works among men, That must
- 49:21stop. Let God reward you openly for
- 49:25the things that you do secretly. And do not forget to show
- 49:31hospitality to strangers, for in by doing so some have
- 49:37entertained angels. We do everything unto God and
- 49:41not unto men. He will openly reward you for
- 49:45the things that you do for Him that people do not see.
- 49:49And that is does not mean that we shouldn't publicly help
- 49:52people or publicly pray. It just means that we are never
- 49:56self seeking and stuck in vanity.
- 49:59Friends, that is not the heart of God.
- 50:02Don't do something and then immediately go and tell others
- 50:06about it. Let it come out naturally
- 50:09friends and you will be rewarded.
- 50:12I hope you've been blessed by this.
- 50:14Amazing, amazing, amazing chapter here in the Word of God.
- 50:22I know I sure have many times over.
- 50:25I love you. I'm praying for you.
- 50:31We'll see you back here tomorrow.
- 50:32God bless you.
