Pamela, or Virtue Rewarded Volume 1 Letter 26c
In which Pamela is warmly received by a company of kind neighbours, who commend her virtue and her husband's generous esteem, even as Lady Davers—the master's fiery sister—creates a turbulent scene through her harsh suspicions and disdain.
