The Kerry Food Hub
The Kerry Food Hub is a not-for-profit community project and was the vision of Firies-farmer David Gleeson; he founded a group of local social based entrepreneurs with the aim to enhance employment opportunities in the region. Amber visited the hub in Firies recently and heard about the facilities they have, the employment opportunities the units provide and how it’s helping prevent rural depopulation.
