  We had to squeeze in a one pm pay per view in the middle of

  a Saturday. That's that's very odd. I had to cancel some plans because

  I had a pay per view to watch and people were like in the afternoon.

  I'm like, in the afternoon. Unfortunately, I'm not mad about it,

  right, not mad about it. Uh, you know, I had

  to cancel something. There's no big deal, but like, yeah, pay

  per view wise, that kind of wasn't mad about because now we could we
• 5:34
  could do our episode and then we can upload it tonight, and like right

  now, it's a little after eight, and right right, the pay per
• 5:41
  view will be starting right now, right yeah. Yeah, Normally and we'd

  be up pretty late and we you know, it's so nice we record pretty
• 5:49
  late into the night. But uh, now this we're gonna get this done
• 5:53
  out of there, you know, right when it's it's uh the hashtags are

  hot. So yeah, yeah, firsties, dre taken away. All right,

  Well, like you said, we're reviewing Night of Champions which took place
• 6:10
  earlier today from the Jetta Superdome and Jetta Saudi Arabia. Go ahead and jump
• 6:16
  right into the first match. They kicked off the show with the World Heavyweight
• 6:20
  Championship Match to determine or crown our brand new WWE World heavy Champion match between
• 6:29
  aj Styles and seth Rawlins, with seth Rawlins coming out on top to be
• 6:34
  crowned our new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Now, to me, the outcome
• 6:43
  of this match was pretty predictable. I think we all probably figures seth Rollins
• 6:49
  was going to win the match. The only thing that the match itself,
• 6:53
  of course, was a good match is to be expected from wrestlers of this
• 6:56
  caliber. The one thing that just surprised me about it personally was how much
• 7:00
  Rollins kind of dominated the match. And I don't say that to say that
• 7:05
  AJ Styles got squashed, because he clearly did not get squashed. He got
• 7:09
  some really dope spots in, like the the backflip he did off the turn
• 7:15
  buckle to drive seth rons head into the match, and that I don't know
• 7:18
  if it was a brainbuster or something he did on the apron theo Seth Rollins.
• 7:21
  That looked absolutely shiit. That was a rough spot too exactly. Yeah,
• 7:27
  it looked nasty. But despite those few moments here and there, it
• 7:30
  kind of seemed like Seth had a counter for almost every attempt of offense that
• 7:34
  AJ put up, So that one thing kind of surprised me. And like
• 7:40
  you know, the only time Seth really appeared to be vulnerable in the match
• 7:43
  was when he was quote unquote injured after his dive to the outside where he
• 7:49
  injured his knee, which allowed AJ to take advantage of that and get a
• 7:54
  decent amount of offense in. But other than that, like I said,
• 7:57
  I thought it was a good match. Obviously you got to hop tier wrestlers
• 8:01
  of that caliber. Obviously they're going to put on a really good match.
• 8:03
  And I was thoroughly entertained. You know, if I've to get match of
• 8:07
  rating out, give it a give it three and a half out of five
• 8:11
  stars. Um, so let's uh, let's go to you, Doyle.

  What did you think of the match? I thought it was good, but
• 8:20
  you know, it's it's not the performer's fault. But I, you know,
• 8:24
  was expecting a real banger, you know what I mean, especially out
• 8:28
  of these two, and I don't think we quite got that. Not to
• 8:31
  say that it was a bad match by any means not trying to say that.
• 8:37
  And I think maybe these two kind of I don't want to say got
• 8:41
  crushed under it, but but you know, we're somewhat smothered by the weight
• 8:45
  of expectation, you know what I mean. Sometimes a match like this,
• 8:48
  it's so hard to live up to how much you hype it up in your
• 8:52
  brain, you know, before it actually happens. What a weird choice to
• 8:58
  put this one on first. I thought that was kind of odd. Um
• 9:01
  the C and I guess we'll talk about this more as we talk about more
• 9:05
  matches, but the crowd was so weird for the whole pay per view,
• 9:09
  but it was like they weren't quite warmed up yet, you know, like
• 9:15
  I get putting this on first, but I don't. At the same time,
• 9:18
  I'm looking at the rest of the card. I'm not sure what I
• 9:22
  would have put in its place. Maybe Trish and Becky instead, but I
• 9:26
  don't know. Um, Seth's really starting to channel Gorgeous George. If you've
• 9:33
  ever seen some of the old Gorgeous George clips from the from the fifties and
• 9:37
  sixties, I think, uh yeah, I would give it three and a
• 9:41
  half as well. Uh. I think we all expected Seth to win.
• 9:46
  Uh. The only reason I thought AJ had much of a chance was because
• 9:48
  everyone expected Seth to win. I thought they might throw a swerve at us.
• 9:54
  Um. Yeah, I mean it was. It was a good match.
• 9:56
  It just it just didn't quite live up to the high I don't think.

  Yeah, I will say at one point during the match, I did
• 10:03
  start to think that maybe AJ would pull it out. Once I noticed like
• 10:07
  how much offense Seth was getting in. I was like, he's being pretty
• 10:13
  dominant in this match so far. Is this setting up for AJ to make
• 10:16
  the comeback and get the win. So for a second during the match,
• 10:18
  I did think they might actually put it on AJ Styles, but obviously they
• 10:22
  didn't. So Wayne, what were your thoughts on the match. I'm kind
• 10:26
  of up there with you guys, like three and a half for me as
• 10:28
  well. I mean, it was a great match, but not the best
• 10:31
  of the night. You know, the last time I think I remember seeing
• 10:35
  these two guys going at it for a title was made twenty nineteen for the
• 10:41
  Universal Championship. Had money in the bank, and you know then also then
• 10:46
  you know Seth Rollins had AJ Styles number. But you know, whenever you
• 10:50
  see these two guys in the ring together, you know what's good. They're
• 10:52
  going to deliver a very good match. I mean, they got twenty minutes
• 10:56
  on the card. I heard rumor the reason why they open the show is
• 11:00
  because Seth Rawlins had to get on a plane to fly out of there to
• 11:03
  to go film some scenes for Captain American New World Order New New New World
• 11:09
  Order. So there was a lot of great spots in this um. You
• 11:16
  know, Seth taking that suicide dive and twisting his knee and then he kind
• 11:20
  of sold it the whole match, and that's when I thought, oh shit,
• 11:22
  like maybe AJ would win this, But it just didn't make sense,
• 11:28
  Like why would you have a guy from SmackDown win the Raw title? But
• 11:33
  then again, we also have the women's Raw Championship on SmackDown and vice versa,
• 11:37
  you know, so you know, I guess anything could happen. It
• 11:41
  just wouldn't make sense because then that means what you're gonna not put him with
• 11:46
  the OC. You're not gonna break up the OC then, or you're gonna
• 11:48
  draft the whole OC over to Raw. It's just a lot of it just
• 11:52
  didn't make sense. And right now I feel like Seth has been on like
• 11:54
  a hot streak, you know, like if anybody's with the fans, you
• 12:00
  know, so if anybody's gonna be winning that title, and he's really over
• 12:03
  with the fans right now, it's Seth Rawlins. Uh, you know what.

  He came out in his weird cheetah outfit. Weird, but like he
• 12:15
  just has Right now, we're at a point in time where entrance musics U
• 12:20
  if you have something catchy like Shinsk, like like Becky Lynch, like Seth
• 12:26
  Rollins. You know, like if you have something Cody Rhodes, something that's
• 12:30
  catchy that that the fans can send along to. I mean, it's it's
• 12:33
  fucking golden right now. Is Seth Rollins has one of those themes you know
• 12:37
  exactly like loves it. Yeah. I remarked earlier to somebody that, um,
• 12:43
  seth rawlins interest theme is almost like a cheat code because it's so damn
• 12:48
  simple that everybody could just easily get into it and do that little chant at
• 12:52
  the top of the lungs. And it almost makes whoever he's facing in a
• 12:56
  match, it almost makes them look small by comparison, does if they don't
• 13:01
  have something that measures up. Yeah, and now we're kind of seeing it.
• 13:05
  I saw a video of it happening in the subway in France, you
• 13:09
  know, people seeing his theme music. It's just it's just so catchy.
• 13:13
  Uh, it's funny, you know because you need more than that though,
• 13:16
  right Like remember remember Fandango, you know, like, but Fandango had us
• 13:24
  with his music, but he didn't have us with his his on the mic
• 13:28
  skills, with his in ring ability. But Seth another thing is Seth Rollins
• 13:33
  is there week to week. He's always there. So as a champion I'm
• 13:37
  happy that we're getting a champion, not saying that Ajia styles would it be,
• 13:41
  but I'm happy that at least one of these two are guys who are
• 13:45
  gonna are workhorses we're gonna see every week. And yeah, I know people
• 13:48
  are a little worried, Oh, they might not put the title on it
• 13:50
  because he's filming something, you know, in Marvel. Yeah, but he's
• 13:54
  not playing a main role. He's maybe doing a few scenes. So we're
• 13:58
  not gonna if they're not taking seth rollins away from us, you know,
• 14:01
  for a long, long term, h not every time soon at least.
• 14:05
  Yeah. And I'm also not expecting him to hold this title for a super
• 14:09
  long period of time, and I think it might actually be comically short.

  It might they might overcorrect and and you might see five guys hold this title,
• 14:20
  you know, by the end of the year or something. But we
• 14:22
  need some title changes. Granted we got some tonight or this afternoon, but
• 14:28
  in the long run, besides the taxing titles and the universal and WW,
• 14:33
  we need some title changes to make it's interesting to get new feuds out there.

  And I'd be surprised if he hangs on to a past I'm a slam
• 14:43
  Yeah, but uh, with him holding this gold, it opens up a
• 14:46
  whole new opportunity of feuds. Maybe people like Drew McIntyre won't be so pissy
• 14:52
  and it'll give him something to do, and maybe he'll actually resign his contract
• 14:56
  because hey, there's a world title on roll. You can actually compete for
• 15:00
  that. You may have a chance to actually win. All right, Well,
• 15:03
  since we're talking about the uh, the world the World Heavweight Championship pitcher
• 15:07
  as a whole, let me pose this question to y'all. Can seth Rawlins
• 15:11
  give the World Heavyweight Championship the credibility it needs to change its present perception as
• 15:18
  a secondary title. I think so. Uh, It's gonna take a little
• 15:24
  bit of time. It's gonna take some defenses, it's gonna take TV time.
• 15:30
  You know, what the fans want is fresh feuds. What the fans
• 15:33
  want is they want we want our champion there. I mean, we went
• 15:37
  how long without Roman even on TV after WrestleMania, you know, we didn't
• 15:43
  see him until you know this late pay per view. He missed Backlash altogether.
• 15:48
  I mean, my opinion is, if you hold the gold, doesn't
• 15:52
  matter where goals is you should be there, you want time off, then
• 15:56
  drop the belt like it's It's just I feel like it's kind of selfish too,
• 16:02
  because you know, Romans are stacking up these days, but it's easy
• 16:07
  to do that when you're not there defending the title all the time. Has
• 16:11
  he defended since WrestleMania? Yeah, I don't think so. He hasn't.

  No, he hasn't had a single title. Yeah. I would expect to
• 16:18
  seth to, if not every week, at least every other week be defending
• 16:22
  this title, which is why I don't think he's going to hang on to
• 16:25
  him but very long. Right maybe Yeah, answer your question, Trey,

  will he Sure he will, But it's also going to be incumbent on the
• 16:33
  next person and the next person and the next person, because I think we're
• 16:37
  going to see a bunch of quick changes with this belt, at least at
• 16:41
  first, right. See in that regard, I'm not entirely sure if we're
• 16:45
  gonna see quick changes. Now. I don't think seth Rawlins is going to
• 16:48
  have a rain as long as Romans by any means, but I could see
• 16:52
  seth Rawlins at least holding this title through SummerSlam because again, a part of
• 16:57
  the complaints that like, we may be sitting here complaining now about how long
• 17:03
  Romans title ran has been and how it's kind of monopolized it and taking all
• 17:07
  the suspense out of everything. But I remember in the past, especially during
• 17:11
  like the Attitude era, where titles would seemingly change all the freaking time,
• 17:17
  that people didn't like that as much. Either they're like, there's the people
• 17:21
  would complain, like, you know, the title would just go to anywhere
• 17:23
  he could go, anybody, somebody could take the title at any given moment,
• 17:26
  and people didn't like that. Some people wanted the longer championship brains to
• 17:32
  give the titles more credibility, to make them feel more important as opposed to
• 17:36
  something that's just passed around like a hot potato. Now, maybe they've gone
• 17:40
  too far in the opposite direction with Roman reigns, So I could see them
• 17:42
  striking some sort of balance in the middle where seth Rons will get a decent
• 17:48
  reign of at least a few months before he drops the title. I could
• 17:52
  see him holding it at least till Summer Slam at least, and holding it
• 17:57
  much passed that I can very I mean, I don't know who he's gonna
• 18:00
  face at Summer Slam, but I can very easy to see him losing it
• 18:04
  at Summas lamb possibly possibly, I could maybe Summer Slam. Maybe he holds
• 18:08
  it up to Survivor Series. Just I think it. Uh, we'll have
• 18:12
  to see how they decide to book him in, what kind of fuse they
• 18:15
  put him in and s I mean also, we're going to have the money
• 18:18
  in the bank, mister money in the bank in a couple of weeks,
• 18:22
  you know, as that person going to be naming it Seth. Are they
• 18:26
  gonna go after Roman? Who know? I mean million directions? But but
• 18:30
  overall, great opening match for the night, you know, yeah, definitely.
• 18:34
  I think it was a good way to start off the pay per view.

  Um oh and they did. They did kind of a call back to
• 18:40
  the famous Sheldon Benjamin HBK phenomenal bore into a super Ki. Yeah, that
• 18:48
  was pretty cool. We got to see as far as did though, we
• 18:52
  have to see aj styles used the pedigree, which was really very tonight was
• 18:57
  about like wrestlers using other wrestlers finishers. Um, there a spot where um
• 19:03
  the ref like loose like put Seth's shoulder on the mat and then graves was
• 19:11
  like, oh, aj making a making an adjustment to get rollins and shoulders
• 19:15
  down, and it was like, really, look at the ref did that.
• 19:19
  But I didn't go back and like rewatch this match a second time,
• 19:22
  so I might be hallucinating and anyone else catch that? No I did that?
• 19:27
  No? All right? A ton of acid earl, yes, and
• 19:33
  that might be fun. All right. Well, moving on to the next
• 19:38
  match, we saw Trish Stratis take on Becky Lynch with uh, this was
• 19:47
  a good match, at least a decently good match, um Trish to me,
• 19:52
  she showed that she could still go with today's top wrestlers. Yeah,
• 19:56
  she did. She, by no means was perfect. There were some some
• 20:00
  botches and some missspots in this match, but I'd be more willing to chalk
• 20:03
  that up to ring Russ. Tris Stratus. She may be back on television,
• 20:07
  but she's not wrestling every week. She you know, this is I
• 20:11
  think she's been back. I think this has been maybe only her second match
• 20:15
  since her and Leader came back on television together with when Becky and Lada won
• 20:22
  the World tag titles. Yeah so yeah, yeah they lost the title,
• 20:27
  right. She was in the match when they lost and I think this is
• 20:30
  the first the other all the other match she's had since then was that Yeah,
• 20:33
  so yeah to two matches, So yeah. I can talk of some
• 20:37
  of the botches to ring Russ and just not being in that condition, but
• 20:41
  nevertheless, she did look good and Becky looked understandably like the stronger of the
• 20:45
  two, being that she is the you know, the prime competitor, the
• 20:48
  one who is active and you know, one of the top wrestlers in the
• 20:52
  women's division. Um. To me, the best part of this match though,
• 20:56
  was the finish, which saw Zoe Start come out to interfere and hit
• 21:03
  Becky Lynch with her finisher, which I believe they're calling the Z three sixty
• 21:07
  I think was the name they gave to her finisher, which wind up busting.
• 21:12
  Yeah, it's a pretty decent looking move, flipping them over then bam
• 21:15
  hitting them with the knee. It's not a bad finisher at all. They
• 21:18
  wind up busting Becky Lynch's nose, which allowed Chris to I mean Chris allowed
• 21:23
  Trish to hit her with another kick and get the finish, I mean,
• 21:27
  get the win. Um. I liked that booking of the finish because I
• 21:36
  figured this feud was going to continue beyond this pay per view, but they
• 21:41
  had to find a way to do it while keeping Becky Lynch strong, because
• 21:45
  I don't think it would look good if Trish just beat her clean and Trish
• 21:51
  just cheating. Sure, that could have worked to win, but they decided
• 21:56
  to take it up a notch by bringing another person in to assist Trish in
• 22:03
  the form of Joe Zoe Stark. That works great for her because now she
• 22:07
  can get the rub from Trish. It puts Zoe Stark and a prime television
• 22:11
  spot and a premiere feud with someone the caliber of Becky Lynch. I'm pretty
• 22:15
  sure at some point in this few we'll see a Zoe Stark Becky Lynch match.
• 22:19
  So it's a nice way to get one of your newer stars that you've
• 22:23
  brought up from NXT some prime television spot, so some prime television real estate,
• 22:30
  putting them in a feud with premiere superstars, and continue the current feud
• 22:37
  with Trish and Becky. I think it just works on all levels. So
• 22:40
  I like the booking of the of the match overall. Where were you at
• 22:42
  out, Wayne, you know what? Like at first, I was especially't
• 22:48
  really have me going I was kind of distracted from this match. I don't
• 22:53
  know, it just it didn't have me. But the end, You're right,
• 22:57
  the end is what kind of made the match. You kind of they
• 23:00
  had a great finish to it. You could see Trish's ring rustum totally understandable.

  You know, she's been out of the business for quite some time.
• 23:11
  I mean the last time we saw her put on a decent singles match was
• 23:15
  against Charlotte Um. So, I mean it's great to see, you know,
• 23:19
  this feud with her and Becky. I kind of hope it go like
• 23:23
  this, maybe the end of it. I don't think it's gonna be Maybe
• 23:27
  we'll see. Now Zoe Stark feud with Becky and then you got kind of
• 23:30
  Trish in her corner and with with Zoe Stark interfering, this is a new
• 23:37
  NXT Like, that's a huge rub for this girl. I mean, I
• 23:42
  don't know about you, guys, I just never had interest in Zoe Stark,
• 23:45
  even in NXT. She just doesn't wow me enough to like give a
• 23:49
  crap. But if she's gonna have Trish in her corner, it's gonna definitely
• 23:53
  turn her character around and probably make her a hell of a lot more interesting.
• 23:57
  I like Zoe Stark, Yeah, a few times off the internet.

  Next she looked good. And let's not forget she had a pretty strong showing
• 24:04
  in the role of Rumble earlier this year as well, right right, Um,
• 24:08
  Yeah, I'm gonna say it's it's someone who doesn't watch an XT.

  The little that I've seen it for I've been pretty impressive with that. Yeah.

  You know, I was impressed that they got fourteen minutes fifty seconds out
• 24:18
  of this actually this whole pay per view, this is the most amount of
• 24:23
  women's matches we've ever had at a Sauty show ever, um, which was
• 24:29
  pretty impressive, you know, say, at least, like I was like,
• 24:32
  holy crap, like we have a lot of women's matches on this,
• 24:34
  you know, there's to not have any when they went at all, and
• 24:38
  then we would have I think maybe like the first one is in Italia and
• 24:42
  Lacy Evans. Um. You know, in these type of matches, they
• 24:45
  have to be covered like basically like head to toe, our neck to toe.

  Um, so it's kind of weird for me. Like I even commented
• 24:55
  on the discord to see like Trish all covered up, you know, I
• 24:57
  do, I dug Becky's killed Bill looked. Yeah, Becky had to kill
• 25:02
  Bill outfit. I thought that was pretty cool, which I think I've seen
• 25:04
  her. She's worn similar to kill Bill outfits before. You know her and
• 25:11
  Seth Rollins, they you know, they probably share the same goddamn closet going
• 25:15
  through outfits. I mean, I can only imagine what their closets look like
• 25:18
  at home. But you know, I kind of I'm kind of glad it
• 25:23
  wasn't a clean pen and you know what, I was genuinely shocked, Like
• 25:29
  I was like, oh, oh shit, Like I did not see this
• 25:30
  coming. Like if we would have done the predictions, I don't think any
• 25:34
  of us would have seen that coming. Like, oh there would have been
• 25:37
  interference. I never would have thought of any type of interference. Definitely not
• 25:41
  the interference aspect exactly. Yeah. Oh, I totally expected Trish to win,
• 25:45
  you know, you know, I wouldn't have seen an interference. So
• 25:48
  like for me, it's like like two and a half almost the three.
• 25:52
  But like for the shock aspect of this match, um, you know this
• 25:56
  is this is also a match that had no title on the line, uh,
• 26:00
  you know, which was interesting, which was you know, for a
• 26:03
  night of champions. We got a match here with two women that had no
• 26:07
  title involved. But uh yeah Doyle, Yeah, I mean I liked it
• 26:15
  overall. U U Trish clearly, I mean she's not leader bad, but
• 26:22
  she's clearly lost a step which is expected to be expected. Uh. I
• 26:26
  think Becky did a pretty good job of trying to cover up for some of
• 26:29
  those shortcomings. U. Two things in particular. I noticed there was a
• 26:33
  spot where Becky was sitting on the top rope and uh, Trish to like
• 26:38
  a handstand to get her legs up around her neck, and she did not
• 26:41
  make it. And you could pretty much see Becky grab her legs and kind
• 26:45
  of pull her up and that stratisfaction at the end. She was way far
• 26:48
  away from the ropes. Uh. Becky was kind of clearly doing all the
• 26:52
  work on that. But you know what it is, what it is,
• 26:56
  Um yeah, I mean I expect to see these two in the ring again.

  Probably it's something Slam. I would expect um Zoe start there to have
• 27:04
  a have a program with with Bex. In the meantime, I like uh
• 27:11
  them pairing up these NXT stars with a veteran or throwing them into a group.

  I mean I guess you don't want to do that with all of them.

  It kind of makes it a little predictable or formulaic or whatever. But
• 27:23
  uh, if if we sat down and tracked, you know, the ones
• 27:27
  that they stick by themselves versus the ones they stick with a veteran, I
• 27:30
  would bet the ones with a veteran end up doing better overall, just because
• 27:36
