- 1:20Speaker 1: that's big, Yeah, huge, that's huge, Cantice what so you uh?
- 1:23Speaker 4: Yesterday I ended up taking my son. We drove by
- 1:26Speaker 4: my old intermediate school in Duncanville because we just happened
- 1:29Speaker 4: to be in the area.
- 1:31Speaker 2: And so I looked on the map and I was.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Like, where is Brandenburg Intermediate School?
- 1:35Speaker 1: Oh?
- 1:35Speaker 4: Wow, Yeah, that's where I went for fifth and sixth grade.
- 1:39Speaker 4: And so I remember when I went there. We were
- 1:41Speaker 4: the first kids to ever go.
- 1:42Speaker 2: To that school. It was brand new when I.
- 1:44Speaker 4: Was in fifth grade, right, yeah, And so we did
- 1:47Speaker 4: like a time capsule and we put a bunch of
- 1:49Speaker 4: stuff in.
- 1:49Speaker 2: It and buried it. And I don't know what year
- 1:51Speaker 2: they were supposed to dig it up. Yeah, I never
- 1:54Speaker 2: heard when they were doing that. Maybe they did it
- 1:56Speaker 2: while you know, I was living in a you know
- 1:58Speaker 2: a way, And do.
- 1:59Speaker 5: You remember what you put in the time capsule.
- 2:00Speaker 4: No, I don't remember, and I wish I kept in
- 2:02Speaker 4: contact with any of the people that went to that school.
- 2:05Speaker 4: I could probably find some of them. Actually, I know
- 2:06Speaker 4: one on Facebook. I should probably hit up and ask.
- 2:09Speaker 4: But we put a bunch of stuff in there. They
- 2:11Speaker 4: were supposed to dig it up. I don't know when
- 2:12Speaker 4: that happened, but I drove my son by there yesterday
- 2:15Speaker 4: and just looked.
- 2:15Speaker 2: So different to me. But they cool memories.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Of like fifth and sixth grade, because you know, you thought.
- 2:21Speaker 1: You were so cool, so cool.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Yeah, people were making like paper.
- 2:25Speaker 4: Clip braces and pretending, you know, I mean just being
- 2:29Speaker 4: like super cool, wearing Adidas and things like that, super
- 2:32Speaker 4: cool things that haven't changed when we were not cool.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Yeah, Like in sixth grade, I was the epitome of
- 2:38Speaker 1: not cool.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Really.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Oh no, I had like this weird side spike hair,
- 2:43Speaker 1: and it was like, it's just no.
- 2:46Speaker 6: For me.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I was. I was in the band.
- 2:49Speaker 3: I was to.
- 2:52Speaker 7: Have a short lived Yeah. I went in because I
- 2:54Speaker 7: wanted to play the drums. But the teacher, she was
- 2:56Speaker 7: like a German lady. She goes, no, you have the
- 2:59Speaker 7: big lips. You need to put the trumpet stop.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Yeah, she's like no, no, no, drum, you need to trump.
- 3:11Speaker 5: That's so cream.
- 3:14Speaker 2: It was probably fine.
- 3:17Speaker 7: Yeah, okay, one semester I was out.
- 3:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 3:21Speaker 1: I was in band for like a minute two because
- 3:23Speaker 1: I wanted to play saxophone because it looks so cool,
- 3:26Speaker 1: you know, like you were so cool if you played.
- 3:27Speaker 2: The saxophone, Kenny.
- 3:29Speaker 1: But Scott Surson got the saxophone and I got the
- 3:33Speaker 1: trombone quick BANDI yeah, yeah, here you get trombone, Billy,
- 3:43Speaker 1: No thanks, those cases.
- 3:44Speaker 4: The kids had to carry the trombone case to school always.
- 3:48Speaker 5: It was so cringe. Either way, that's cool that you
- 3:50Speaker 5: got to do that.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Yeah, it was cute.
- 3:52Speaker 4: He was really like awe of how much like outside
- 3:55Speaker 4: space we had at that school.
- 3:56Speaker 1: I wanted to take this summer take a trip to
- 3:59Speaker 1: take my son back to where I grew up, and
- 4:01Speaker 1: I didn't get a chance. Hopefully we still can, but
- 4:04Speaker 1: it's just well that's one of my things I really
- 4:05Speaker 1: want to do before he gets too old. He's fifteen.
- 4:08Speaker 1: You know, I think you would have really appreciated now.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Probably not, but I would. Yeah, so yeah, we'll took
- 4:13Speaker 1: a trip from me. Either way, that's what you got
- 4:15Speaker 1: to do. That. I'm pretty sure pre here, what's up here?
- 4:17Speaker 1: Yesterday I was on a world tour.
- 4:19Speaker 7: So where I live, it's like one street is Saxy,
- 4:23Speaker 7: another street is Garland. So sometimes my packages will be
- 4:26Speaker 7: addressed to a Garland address. Same address what but yeah,
- 4:29Speaker 7: Garland zip code. It's so weird. So I was waiting
- 4:32Speaker 7: on this part of my ottoman for my new cap
- 4:36Speaker 7: set of order and then FedEx dropped off the little thing.
- 4:39Speaker 7: I had to go way over to mckennie, the McKenny
- 4:41Speaker 7: hub in McKinnie, Texas.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Go over there, they said, no, it's not there. Then
- 4:46Speaker 1: I had to go up.
- 4:47Speaker 7: They sent me to almost to Frisco, and then from
- 4:51Speaker 7: Frisco I end up in Addison and.
- 4:53Speaker 1: That's where it is. What And that's where I picked
- 4:56Speaker 1: it up. I was like, why would you do that?
- 4:58Speaker 1: Why don't you just say, hey, deliver it to me. No,
- 5:01Speaker 1: what does your address have to do with that? No,
- 5:03Speaker 1: Because that's what I'm saying. They said they tried to
- 5:05Speaker 1: send it to me and they didn't.
- 5:07Speaker 8: So when it went back to the main hub which
- 5:10Speaker 8: goes all the way to McKinny, and I was like,
- 5:13Speaker 8: I don't even live nowhere near, but I guess packages
- 5:15Speaker 8: go to mckinniy, then they go to Wiley and then
- 5:17Speaker 8: they go to Zaxi in Garland.
- 5:19Speaker 1: So it was real weird.
- 5:21Speaker 7: But yeah, I was all over the place yesterday just
- 5:23Speaker 7: to get a piece of my ottoman.
- 5:25Speaker 1: So now my couch is complete, just send it together.
- 5:28Speaker 1: No wayfair? Did some wayfair pieces? You should have just
- 5:39Speaker 1: said that, well now you had a complete ottoman. Yea, yeah,
- 5:42Speaker 1: everything's completely wow, look at you poo. Can we get
- 5:46Speaker 1: a tour? Why did you get it? To tour of
- 5:48Speaker 1: the You know? I don't want to go, but I
- 5:50Speaker 1: want you want to go to a house, to my house.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Sometimes it takes so long to get an invite. Then
- 5:56Speaker 1: it's then it's like too late. Then you don't want
- 5:59Speaker 1: to go out of Spike. Now I never want to.
- 6:00Speaker 5: Go to his house. So we still haven't got an
- 6:02Speaker 5: invite though.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Twenty five years of thirty almost for me, Have I
- 6:09Speaker 1: never been to any of Pooh's establishments? Yes, you have.
- 6:12Speaker 1: You come to my older apartments, but you.
- 6:14Speaker 5: Never never came in, so you never came inside.
- 6:16Speaker 1: No, it was always I was always in a hurry.
- 6:20Speaker 1: No I wasn't invited. Everybody has parties, people have people
- 6:24Speaker 1: over No. But according to Pooh, I mean his life
- 6:29Speaker 1: is so well put together. He's got a Nooman. Yeah,
- 6:33Speaker 1: he's showing off.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Now I got a new count He's got a he's
- 6:38Speaker 4: got two chargers.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I got a coffee table. I got the coffee
- 6:42Speaker 1: table from you.
- 6:43Speaker 5: But yeah, I think Pooh's life is more together than mine.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Behind the scenes, might be right, he's got two Like
- 6:49Speaker 1: maybe I just expected like chaos in his apartment, but
- 6:53Speaker 1: when I've seen pictures, there's like two night stands. Yeah,
- 6:56Speaker 1: matching sheets and betting of course.
- 6:59Speaker 4: Right, he's got some important things on the fridge still there.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, yeah.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Drawing from Enzo all right, I know I zoomed into
- 7:07Speaker 4: one of his Instagram stories, did yeah, on Who's County.
- 7:13Speaker 1: You're fat person?
- 7:14Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 7:15Speaker 1: It zooms in.
- 7:16Speaker 4: Well, yeah, because I saw the picture Enzo drew him.
- 7:19Speaker 1: You zoomed in. That's how you found out I had
- 7:21Speaker 1: two chargers. I know. Yeah, I love zooming in. Don't
- 7:26Speaker 1: send me pick I'm zooming in. We gotttle.
- 7:32Speaker 9: It's Texas Tough Stories on the Tents with Billy the
- 7:35Speaker 9: Kid in the.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Morning only on the new mix one O two point nine.
- 7:39Speaker 1: It is Thursday. Candice Slow pants, what's going on?
- 7:41Speaker 4: Well, a state of emergency has been declared across fifty
- 7:44Speaker 4: nine Texas counties as historic flooding continues in the Hill Country.
- 7:49Speaker 4: Seventy five water rescues have already happened.
- 7:51Speaker 2: In Uvalde County.
- 7:53Speaker 4: Uh, They've had half a year's worth of rain there.
- 7:55Speaker 4: We're talking up to twenty inches I.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Think at the peak.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Yesterday they said at least one hundred and fourteen roads
- 8:03Speaker 4: in Texas were flooded. They even had an E F
- 8:05Speaker 4: one tornado near San Antonio. So I saw that this
- 8:08Speaker 4: weather is crazy.
- 8:09Speaker 1: I don't remember it being like this, and I always
- 8:11Speaker 1: said that the other day. But and I'm not saying
- 8:13Speaker 1: that it's a conspiracy, but it might be.
- 8:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I swear, I don't know what to think anymore.
- 8:17Speaker 4: I've never seen anything like this. I was born and
- 8:20Speaker 4: raised in Texas.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Right, Sometimes I feel like they're just messing with the
- 8:23Speaker 1: weather and manipulating the weather. Somehow.
- 8:25Speaker 5: I get down these conspiracies and I'm like.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Oh, the same I've seen them.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Billy, Stop Billy. There's like charts and all these graphs
- 8:32Speaker 1: that there might be some cloud seating and all this stuff.
- 8:35Speaker 1: And then I start going down that rabbit hole like
- 8:38Speaker 1: ten pm.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Oh yeah, don't go down it at night.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I dough oh right up, and I died right in
- 8:45Speaker 1: And then all of a sudden, I am wide awake,
- 8:48Speaker 1: and I'm like, where's the cloud's eating happen?
- 8:50Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, it's hard not to go down those
- 8:53Speaker 4: rabbit holes sometimes, but I've just learned to question everything
- 8:56Speaker 4: on all sides.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, well either way, they're suffering down. So
- 9:00Speaker 1: I have friends in Bernie and I know it's OK.
- 9:02Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, they're expecting more rounds of heavy rain today
- 9:04Speaker 4: that won't really let up until tomorrow.
- 9:06Speaker 2: This rain just like sits there.
- 9:08Speaker 1: You know.
- 9:08Speaker 4: It's just slow moving, and it's really devastating for these areas,
- 9:12Speaker 4: especially after what we went through last year.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Guys, we'll switch gears for a second.
- 9:16Speaker 4: I should have known this was gonna happen when I
- 9:18Speaker 4: saw Spirit Halloween store setting up already.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Oh no, yeah, one hundred percent.
- 9:22Speaker 4: But you can now buy home Depots Halloween collection, including
- 9:27Speaker 4: their updated twelve foot Skelly eleven foot Mummy, and then
- 9:31Speaker 4: there are three piece animated Grimlins, among other things.
- 9:34Speaker 5: What already it is July?
- 9:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, right, yeah it is. I just checked sixteenth.
- 9:41Speaker 5: It's the sixteenth. We already have Halloween stuff out.
- 9:43Speaker 4: Yeah, they're available online. They're not in stores just yet.
- 9:46Speaker 4: But I did see the Spirit Halloween store setting up
- 9:49Speaker 4: getting ready.
- 9:50Speaker 2: So I mean, as soon as July fourth ends, we're.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Just all out of a fault. Because I looked the
- 9:54Speaker 1: other day. I was trying to find a pool floating
- 9:56Speaker 1: and it was at Walmart and I'm like, well, let
- 9:57Speaker 1: me find a pool floating real quick. And I went
- 9:59Speaker 1: to the section where they normally have the seasonal stuff.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Oh yeah, already back to school stuff. Yeah, floating's gone. Yeah.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Wow, that's sad when the floating section.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Is gone in July. I want the floating section.
- 10:10Speaker 4: I like to see the water toys, the goggles, the towel, right.
- 10:13Speaker 2: All the things.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Don't have them right now, can't It's coming. You can
- 10:17Speaker 1: find them, but it's just random stuff.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Right for sure. Guys, did you see this woman in
- 10:21Speaker 2: Florida who has.
- 10:22Speaker 4: Gone viral for her state issued license plate. She's kind
- 10:26Speaker 4: of becoming a local celebrity there.
- 10:28Speaker 2: So she's the seventy six year old woman.
- 10:30Speaker 4: Everyone in her retirement community is talking about this. So
- 10:33Speaker 4: she got her license plate from the DMV and it reads.
- 10:37Speaker 2: This, Oh god, s q z A five to five.
- 10:43Speaker 4: So from far away it looks like squeeze squeeze A
- 10:50Speaker 4: two s is no way.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I know she's talking to the news about it.
- 10:56Speaker 2: It's going viral online. I guess her.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Her county is offered to replace the plate for free,
- 11:02Speaker 4: but she says her sons and their friends think she
- 11:04Speaker 4: should just keep it.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Keep it. Oh that's hysterical. I heard she went. But
- 11:08Speaker 1: was this the woman who got mad? I see, I
- 11:09Speaker 1: had to read the story. She got mad because of
- 11:11Speaker 1: this plate.
- 11:12Speaker 4: She did, and then she started talking to people and
- 11:14Speaker 4: they started loving it for her. But if she keeps it,
- 11:16Speaker 4: it's gonna be like ten.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Years that she would have to keep this plate.
- 11:19Speaker 1: How old is she?
- 11:20Speaker 2: She's seventy six.
- 11:21Speaker 1: If I saw a granny driving down Preston right, yeah,
- 11:24Speaker 1: I don't know why Preston as it said, squeeze you
- 11:29Speaker 1: know what? Yeah? I would die. I love it so good?
- 11:34Speaker 1: Keep it granny.
- 11:35Speaker 4: Yeah, it's hard not to think that, Like, if you
- 11:37Speaker 4: just passed her on the road, you would think that
- 11:38Speaker 4: she requested that, you know, because it looks like a.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Custom does look like custom vanity plate?
- 11:43Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not it's not. I'll keep you posting on
- 11:46Speaker 2: what she does.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Right now.
- 11:46Speaker 2: She's thinking about keeping it. She put it on her car.
- 11:49Speaker 1: She should granny get it. Squeeze it, Yeah, squeeze me. Yeah,
- 11:53Speaker 1: that's what it's kind of saying.
- 11:55Speaker 2: There you go. All right, I'm Kando Slopez.
- 11:56Speaker 4: Those are your Texas top stories on Mixed one or
- 11:59Speaker 4: two points.
- 12:00Speaker 1: First caller of the day right now, Hawaiian falls got
- 12:02Speaker 1: a four pack of passes. Who's this? It's Mark? Mark?
- 12:06Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 12:09Speaker 6: Good?
- 12:09Speaker 1: Time to work?
- 12:10Speaker 9: Good?
- 12:11Speaker 1: Well, guess what you're calling? Number one? Congratulation. There you go, Mark,
- 12:16Speaker 1: How you been I've been pretty good. Just dying in
- 12:20Speaker 1: the heat. Yeah, I know it's hot. At least today,
- 12:23Speaker 1: it's not that bad. It's like eighty nine ninety today
- 12:25Speaker 1: that it could be worse for July. Yeah, as we
- 12:28Speaker 1: sit inside and work in the ac right, yeah, give
- 12:32Speaker 1: it a few hours and that's you never.
- 12:34Speaker 9: Know when it's gonna jump into a hundred degree.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Well, you never know. It does feel like muggy out
- 12:38Speaker 1: there though, today. So either way, Mark, thank you man,
- 12:40Speaker 1: We appreciate you listening. We'll give it this four pack.
- 12:42Speaker 1: You're also in the running for four season passes too.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Hawaiian falls. Awesome, stay right there, Mark, Thank you. Yeah,
- 12:49Speaker 1: I mean shout out to all of our construction workers,
- 12:52Speaker 1: the traffic people that I see working on the side
- 12:54Speaker 1: of the road in this heat, the delivery drivers. My
- 12:58Speaker 1: ups man yesterday he delivered some for me. I felt
- 13:00Speaker 1: like his shorts were extra short.
- 13:03Speaker 2: It's hot.
- 13:04Speaker 1: It's hot. No, I'm not hating on him, but I
- 13:07Speaker 1: mean he was. He was. He had some serious hootie daddyform. Yeah,
- 13:12Speaker 1: and then he waved me. I tried to wait till he,
- 13:15Speaker 1: you know, went away. His human interaction is weird for me,
- 13:18Speaker 1: and that, you know, I didn't want to he didn't
- 13:20Speaker 1: want to answer the door while he was dropping it off,
- 13:22Speaker 1: So I waited until he got like kind of almost
- 13:24Speaker 1: to the truck, and then I opened the door and
- 13:26Speaker 1: he heard it and then he turned around.
- 13:28Speaker 5: Oh, and then he waved to me.
- 13:29Speaker 1: I was like, oh, hey, thanks man. Locked eyes, but
- 13:31Speaker 1: we did.
- 13:33Speaker 5: Wow, we locked eyes. Things slowed down.
- 13:35Speaker 2: I realized you were wearing the same shorts. Yeah, no, no,
- 13:41Speaker 2: you don't have your daddy.
- 13:42Speaker 1: My shorts were much shorter. Okay, when I'm at home,
- 13:48Speaker 1: you should see how my short shorts on imagine, give
- 13:51Speaker 1: me lucky if I have shorts on. All right, really
- 13:55Speaker 1: fake news. Now that I've ruined your breakfast, Here you go,
- 13:58Speaker 1: headline number one. I'm going to give you three headlines,
- 13:59Speaker 1: going to tell me which one is fake? Okay? First headline,
- 14:04Speaker 1: man steals kitten, then uses it to rob a bank
- 14:07Speaker 1: next door, Man steals kitten, then uses it to rob
- 14:12Speaker 1: a bank next door. Headline number one. Headline number two.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Research shows that eighty one percent of Americans can identify
- 14:19Speaker 1: their favorite fast food restaurant by the smell alone. Research
- 14:24Speaker 1: shows that eighty one percent of Americans can identify their
- 14:28Speaker 1: favorite fast food restaurant by the smell alone eighty one percent.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Headline number three. Three A New York school will deploy
- 14:36Speaker 1: a humanoid robot teacher this fall. What a New York
- 14:42Speaker 1: school will deploy a humanoid robot teacher this fall? We're
- 14:48Speaker 1: already talking about that. If it's real, if it's a
- 14:50Speaker 1: real story, you decide, Candice, you get first pick, or
- 14:53Speaker 1: you could pass it to Pooh, which one is the
- 14:55Speaker 1: fake story out of those three.
- 14:56Speaker 4: I actually saw one of those humanoid robots when I
- 14:59Speaker 4: was on vacation or the summer. Yeah, it was about
- 15:01Speaker 4: the same height as me. Really, yeah, creepy, I could,
- 15:07Speaker 4: I guess.
- 15:07Speaker 2: I guess I could see that happen. Locked me in
- 15:09Speaker 2: for the second story.
- 15:10Speaker 4: Yeah, the fast food smell really yeah, you don't think.
- 15:14Speaker 1: That's I mean, I feel like all of us could really,
- 15:18Speaker 1: I know, I know, like certain smells, like you know
- 15:21Speaker 1: when it's McDonald's.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, you.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Know, like there's no way you don't know. Yeah, I
- 15:26Speaker 1: mean every fast food place besides to me, like Wendy's.
- 15:29Speaker 1: I don't know if i'd be able to smell Wendy's.
- 15:31Speaker 2: I think I could smell Burger King actually, because.
- 15:34Speaker 5: Whatever, Yeah, the whopper sniff out everyone.
- 15:37Speaker 2: That's true. Okay, maybe I'm wrong.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Whatever, Lock me in, You're locked in, all right, Producer
- 15:44Speaker 1: po one of these stories is fake.
- 15:46Speaker 5: You got to guess which one? Which one is it?
- 15:48Speaker 9: Uh?
- 15:48Speaker 7: Lock me in for the first story, dude stilling the
- 15:51Speaker 7: cat then using them as an accessory.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Okay, all right, let's lock that in. Locked in. The
- 15:59Speaker 1: winner today is can Path You won, Candace. I made
- 16:10Speaker 1: that one up. Dang, I thought I was gonna get
- 16:12Speaker 1: you on that. I don't know why I thought I
- 16:13Speaker 1: was gonna stump you on that one.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a lot of people that can spell that.
- 16:17Speaker 1: We should literally take poo to do this challenge because
- 16:20Speaker 1: I think, what if we find like his true talent. Yeah,
- 16:27Speaker 1: I think he.
- 16:28Speaker 5: Would be able to tell every single one.
- 16:30Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure I really the only one he might
- 16:32Speaker 1: drive around, Yeah, the only one he might struggle with
- 16:37Speaker 1: is Long John Silvers.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Oh. I haven't smelled a Long John.
- 16:42Speaker 1: I haven't either, but yeah, I probably could smell. You
- 16:45Speaker 1: Know what's funny is a lot of people in for
- 16:46Speaker 1: the World Cup when they were talking about their favorite
- 16:49Speaker 1: fast food restaurants, Huh, we're saying Long John Silvers, which
- 16:53Speaker 1: surprised me. I don't know if it's just because fish
- 16:55Speaker 1: is more of a big thing in their diet, right,
- 16:58Speaker 1: fish and chips over, But they were all like, oh,
- 17:01Speaker 1: Long John Silvers, you guys are so lucky, And I'm like,
- 17:06Speaker 1: when I drive by Long John Silvers, I'm like, how
- 17:08Speaker 1: are they still in business? And I'm not saying they're bad. No,
- 17:12Speaker 1: I'll take some fish and chips. Yeah, we've been here
- 17:14Speaker 1: for a hotman.
- 17:14Speaker 4: Oh the crispy all the time when I was a kid, Yeah,
- 17:17Speaker 4: you asked for the crispies on the side.
- 17:18Speaker 2: They just give you the extress.
- 17:19Speaker 1: I don't know if that's a thing.
- 17:20Speaker 2: It used to be.
- 17:21Speaker 1: You say it's a thing, but I'm not sure. All right,
- 17:24Speaker 1: let's get to the real stories and forget your nonsense
- 17:26Speaker 1: over the canvas. Yeah. Man steals a kitten then uses
- 17:30Speaker 1: it to rob a bank. A man in Maryland went
- 17:33Speaker 1: into a pet store on Monday, stole a three month
- 17:36Speaker 1: old rescue kitten named Magnolia from the cat adoption area.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Then he went next door to the P and C
- 17:45Speaker 1: bank and used Magnolia as an accessory to attempt to
- 17:48Speaker 1: rob this bank. He went in with the cat in
- 17:51Speaker 1: his arms, walked right up to a bank employee and said,
- 17:54Speaker 1: can you hold this kitten, and then wrote a note
- 17:57Speaker 1: and handed it to the teller that said give me
- 17:59Speaker 1: all your cat.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Wow.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Yeah, someone alerted the police. The response was super quick,
- 18:06Speaker 1: so matter of fact, the pet store employees already called
- 18:09Speaker 1: the police because they noticed Magnoli was gone.
- 18:11Speaker 5: So this idiot steals something next.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Door, they already call the police because they're like, that
- 18:15Speaker 1: idiot just stole our kitten. So the police were already
- 18:18Speaker 1: on their way. They're like, for whatever reason, he stole
- 18:20Speaker 1: our cat and then want next door, so they caught
- 18:22Speaker 1: the guy. I just don't. I mean, that's why you're
- 18:26Speaker 1: a criminal. Though you're an idiot in the first place,
- 18:28Speaker 1: so needless to say, he's in jail. Magnolia is safe.
- 18:32Speaker 1: The only three month old kitten to be an accessory
- 18:35Speaker 1: or robbery, right, I mean, poor kitten.
- 18:38Speaker 5: I love kittens. I might not be the biggest.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Cat, guy kitty, then they grow up and get on
- 18:46Speaker 1: your cat. I don't mind cats, all right. A New
- 18:50Speaker 1: York school going to terrify kids by deploying a humanoid
- 18:52Speaker 1: robot this fall. This story just makes me so angry
- 18:57Speaker 1: because I love teachers. We have so many great teachers.
- 19:00Speaker 1: So the fact that some school district in New York
- 19:02Speaker 1: is going to buy a humanoid robot to be there
- 19:05Speaker 1: with the kids, and it's a full on humanoid robot,
- 19:09Speaker 1: like full on. The robot's name is Sally. Now, it's
- 19:13Speaker 1: not going to replace a classroom teacher, but it's programmed
- 19:16Speaker 1: to provide learning support to both students and teachers. What
- 19:21Speaker 1: so Sally has a lifelike appearance. Yeah, like silicone skin,
- 19:26Speaker 1: long brown hair.
- 19:27Speaker 2: That's weird. The robot I saw a robot.
- 19:30Speaker 5: Now, this looks like a humanoid robot.
- 19:32Speaker 1: So yeah, okay.
- 19:34Speaker 2: I was confused by what humanoid.
- 19:35Speaker 5: Meant exactly, long brown hair.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Oh no, we're not doing that.
- 19:39Speaker 5: She has a whole outfit on.
- 19:42Speaker 1: The weird part is she's going to address the kids,
- 19:44Speaker 1: but not by their names. The students will be given numbers,
- 19:48Speaker 1: so you can walk up to Sally and be like, Hi,
- 19:51Speaker 1: I'm student one two three. Yes, now you're just a number,
- 19:56Speaker 1: and she's going to be like, oh, hi, one two three.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Were we talking about your math filmework yesterday? Oh?
- 20:02Speaker 3: No?
- 20:02Speaker 1: And they will have a discussion.
- 20:04Speaker 2: No.
- 20:04Speaker 1: And then here's the worst part. If I'm a teacher,
- 20:07Speaker 1: I'm so mad about this. She's gonna sit randomly in
- 20:10Speaker 1: the back of some classes and correct the teachers if
- 20:13Speaker 1: they miss something. That's what it says in a story.
- 20:17Speaker 2: I thought you say you get a snitch on everybody.
- 20:19Speaker 1: No, well, probably that too. Can you imagine that your
- 20:23Speaker 1: school district pays one hundred thousand dollars for a humanoid
- 20:26Speaker 1: robot while you're being underpaid, and this robot is gonna
- 20:30Speaker 1: correct you from the back of the class.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I am not.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Charging you, Yeah, for sure, I'm.
- 20:36Speaker 5: Unplugging you, Sally.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Sally, Yeah, why Sally. Yeah, that's weird ew nineteen. Either way,
- 20:44Speaker 1: we're gonna have a humanoid robot in the studio no
- 20:48Speaker 1: to replace pooh No forget ay, I we got pooh Ie.
- 20:52Speaker 1: It's gonna be it's gonna be huge. Tony Little Secret
- 20:55Speaker 1: coming up at seven thirty. You're ready for that. It's
- 20:57Speaker 1: mixed one on two point nine. Good Morning, Billy the
- 20:59Speaker 1: Kid can't pez is here producer poo is here. I
- 21:02Speaker 1: saw this yesterday and I thought it was amazing because
- 21:05Speaker 1: I don't know, I just like inspirational, motivational things. So
- 21:08Speaker 1: if I see like a thread that says something cheesy motivational,
- 21:12Speaker 1: I dive right in.
- 21:13Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 21:13Speaker 4: Do you saw that app on your phone that puts
- 21:15Speaker 4: the quote on your home screen?
- 21:17Speaker 1: Kenny, So you're making fun of me? I like that,
- 21:22Speaker 1: Well it started, but I also there's a balance because
- 21:24Speaker 1: I also get annoyed easy right. So this this app
- 21:28Speaker 1: was putting a motivational quote on my screen every day,
- 21:31Speaker 1: but then it was chiming me when it.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Did it, and I was like, shut up.
- 21:36Speaker 1: So movated. I know when I want to be motivated,
- 21:40Speaker 1: don't tell me when I need to be motivated. That's
- 21:42Speaker 1: what it was that's what that's not psycho at all.
- 21:46Speaker 1: But I saw this thread and I was like, this
- 21:48Speaker 1: is some good inspiring stuff right here. And one of
- 21:51Speaker 1: the one of the things that somebody said in this
- 21:53Speaker 1: piece of advice, they were talking about one sentence that
- 21:56Speaker 1: completely changed their life once. Maybe it's a quote, maybe
- 22:02Speaker 1: it's something that somebody said to you that just stuck
- 22:04Speaker 1: with you. And I know I have one, but there
- 22:06Speaker 1: was one on this that just wow. Yeah, like gave
- 22:09Speaker 1: me the chills when I heard it. I'm gonna get
- 22:11Speaker 1: to it coming out, But Candice, do you have one?
- 22:13Speaker 2: Yeah, because I remember Oprah Winfrey saying this.
- 22:16Speaker 4: I used to watch Oprah every day back in the
- 22:18Speaker 4: day day, but she would always say this maya Angelou
- 22:21Speaker 4: sent in.
- 22:21Speaker 2: So it's a quote that.
- 22:22Speaker 4: Said when someone shows you who they are, believed in
- 22:24Speaker 4: the first time.
- 22:26Speaker 2: And I was like, wow, that makes sense.
- 22:28Speaker 4: You're not like hoping they're going to change, They're like
- 22:30Speaker 4: makee excuses.
- 22:32Speaker 6: You know.
- 22:32Speaker 2: It was like a big, big one for it, and
- 22:34Speaker 2: that stuck with you.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Yeah, It's weird how some of these things will stick
- 22:37Speaker 1: with you like that. That is a good one. When
- 22:38Speaker 1: somebody shows you who they are, believe them yeah, the
- 22:41Speaker 1: first time. That is so true. Yes, yeah, the first time.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Don't wait till the fifteenth times.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Stop ignoring the red flags.
- 22:47Speaker 1: That is so true. Okay, poo, you have what I'm
- 22:49Speaker 1: interested to see? Pooh, I do.
- 22:51Speaker 7: I do because you know, I like mafia movies and
- 22:53Speaker 7: stuff like that. Michael Corleone said something in The Godfather
- 22:57Speaker 7: that's resonnated within me, and that's keep your friends close,
- 23:02Speaker 7: but your enemies closer. Okay, yeah, so you could always
- 23:05Speaker 7: watch who's hating on.
- 23:06Speaker 1: You, you know what, how they move. Yeah, that's kind of
- 23:09Speaker 1: negative though, why. I mean, no, I get it. That's
- 23:11Speaker 1: a famous thing, you know, keep your enemies close or
- 23:14Speaker 1: your friends close, your enemies closer. Yeah. I don't know
- 23:16Speaker 1: if I want to live by that.
- 23:18Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 23:19Speaker 1: I don't know. I just like to keep the people. Wait,
- 23:22Speaker 1: we're not in the mafia. Yeah I know, but but
- 23:25Speaker 1: that's a good one.
- 23:26Speaker 2: I want to be in the mafia.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Kind of when I was a kid, Yeah, I did.
- 23:29Speaker 1: But then I heard you got to, like, you know,
- 23:30Speaker 1: do stuff that's illegal. Yeah, and I'm like, well it
- 23:33Speaker 1: seems cool. You got to cut your finger and then
- 23:38Speaker 1: exactly like wild to be honest, when I was young.
- 23:41Speaker 1: I grew up in a in an area that had
- 23:42Speaker 1: some gangs and stuff like that, and I thought about
- 23:44Speaker 1: it for a minute, right, I was like, I think
- 23:46Speaker 1: I want to be in a gang.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 23:48Speaker 5: No, I mean it sounds cool, you know, and I
- 23:50Speaker 5: didn't want to get like beat up.
- 23:52Speaker 1: In high school. I think I'm going to join a gang.
- 23:54Speaker 1: And then I found out that you had to get
- 23:56Speaker 1: beat up to get in it. Yea by the people
- 23:58Speaker 1: that are in your gang. Yeah.
- 24:00Speaker 5: And I was like, you know, I'm not gonna do it.
- 24:02Speaker 1: You gotta get jumped in. I'm trying to do that.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Are good enough?
- 24:05Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 24:06Speaker 1: Right?
- 24:06Speaker 5: Yeah, I just pretend to be in a game.
- 24:09Speaker 1: I just protected. I have one that my grandpa always
- 24:13Speaker 1: used to say, and I don't know why. It's always
- 24:14Speaker 1: stuck with me when you're winning, fight like you're losing.
- 24:18Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 24:19Speaker 1: And he said it to me when it was like
- 24:20Speaker 1: on a baseball team that was really good, right, and
- 24:22Speaker 1: we all started getting cocky and he's like, no, listen,
- 24:25Speaker 1: And for whatever reason, that is always just being that
- 24:29Speaker 1: once thing that's stuck with me, and I like it. Now.
- 24:32Speaker 1: Some of these, though, are really good that people were
- 24:34Speaker 1: talking about on the thread. This one said, don't cling
- 24:37Speaker 1: to a mistake just because you spent a long time
- 24:39Speaker 1: making it. Whoa, that's a good one. I like that one.
- 24:44Speaker 1: I also like this one. Just because you're offended doesn't
- 24:47Speaker 1: mean you're right. Oh, it's a good one. You could
- 24:52Speaker 1: now This one I loved. You could be the juiciest
- 24:55Speaker 1: peach in the whole wide world and there's still be
- 24:58Speaker 1: somebody who just doesn't like peaches. Isn't that a good Now?
- 25:03Speaker 1: That's something like your grandma would say, Yeah, you know, some.
- 25:07Speaker 5: People just don't like peaches, babe for real.
- 25:10Speaker 1: This one, though, really stuck with me as a parent,
- 25:13Speaker 1: and I think this will hit you guys too. This
- 25:15Speaker 1: one that gave me the chills. You either face your
- 25:18Speaker 1: demons or they'll raise your children. Ooh, I was like, wait,
- 25:26Speaker 1: read that you either face your demons or they'll raise
- 25:30Speaker 1: your children. Yeah, okay, neither. Sam going to therapy later today.
- 25:36Speaker 10: Top stories on the Tents with Billy the Kid in
- 25:38Speaker 10: the Morning only one two point nine.
- 25:42Speaker 1: It heads up jackpop for free groceries is up to
- 25:44Speaker 1: two thousand dollars too grand Right now, I'm gonna call
- 25:49Speaker 1: somebody eight o'clock. I can't believe yesterday nobody answered. Some
- 25:51Speaker 1: of the people who didn't answer a DM and me like,
- 25:53Speaker 1: I can't believe I missed it. Yeah, I know, I'm sorry.
- 25:56Speaker 1: I wish you could change it. But the fact of
- 25:57Speaker 1: the matter is you gotta answer. You gotta say I
- 25:59Speaker 1: want my two point nine. When you answer, you could
- 26:01Speaker 1: sign up on the iHeartRadio app, find us Mix one
- 26:04Speaker 1: o two point nine, hit that little talkback mic right
- 26:07Speaker 1: there and just say that I want my Mix one
- 26:08Speaker 1: O two point nine. I'm gonna call somebody at eight o'clock,
- 26:11Speaker 1: Cannae Lopez, what is going on? Well?
- 26:12Speaker 4: Post Malone will headline the closing ceremony for the World
- 26:15Speaker 4: Cup this Sunday at New York New Jersey Stadium. It
- 26:18Speaker 4: starts at one point thirty. Of course, it celebrates the
- 26:21Speaker 4: World Cup wrapping up.
- 26:23Speaker 2: That was pretty cool news to hear that.
- 26:26Speaker 4: You know, we've got all these big names that are
- 26:27Speaker 4: going to be there this weekend by post Malone.
- 26:29Speaker 5: Perfect got how much money does FIFA has.
- 26:33Speaker 4: Well, I mean, based on the ticket prices, they got plenty.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Yeah that's true.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true. I'm looking forward to that.
- 26:38Speaker 1: I mean, between the halftime, he got Bieber Shakira and
- 26:40Speaker 1: all these Janna tom Cruise flying in on a parachute whatever.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Then post Malone closing it out. That should be good.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Yeah, it should be.
- 26:47Speaker 4: By the way, we just got the police department recap
- 26:50Speaker 4: of everything here and they said they made fifty one.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Arrests across all of our matches.
- 26:55Speaker 4: That match between Spain and Portugal on July sixth, that
- 26:58Speaker 4: was the busiest for They said they made thirteen arrests
- 27:02Speaker 4: at that one of everything from trademark counterfeiting, criminal trespass,
- 27:06Speaker 4: and public intoxication.
- 27:08Speaker 2: But the FBI also said they sees that ninety six
- 27:11Speaker 2: drones that.
- 27:11Speaker 4: Were violating the flight restrictions across the World Cup here
- 27:16Speaker 4: at Dallas Stadium. So just interesting to see them, you know,
- 27:19Speaker 4: kind of look back at at everything that went down.
- 27:21Speaker 4: But by the way, FanFest is closed today and tomorrow,
- 27:23Speaker 4: but it will open back up for the matches this
- 27:25Speaker 4: weekend and.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Then that's the end, okay, and then it's over.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's weird that they're playing for third place.
- 27:31Speaker 1: I don't get that. Maybe that's because I just don't
- 27:33Speaker 1: get the whole thing, but I'm kind of getting into it. Yeah, same,
- 27:36Speaker 1: and I'm watching soccer for the first time. Yeah. Really,
- 27:38Speaker 1: But the fact that two of the losers play to
- 27:41Speaker 1: fight for the third place, yeah, bizarre. Like I'm gonna
- 27:44Speaker 1: be like, no, thanks, I don't like I'm not going
- 27:47Speaker 1: to compete to be the first loser, right exactly. Kind
- 27:50Speaker 1: of a weird thing. But one of the most fascinating
- 27:52Speaker 1: facts about this whole match to me coming up with
- 27:54Speaker 1: the finals is one of the guys you forget his name,
- 27:57Speaker 1: what's his name of Lamel? That guy from Spain, the
- 28:01Speaker 1: guy from Spain. There's a player from Spain who's eighteen.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Oh okay, Oh gosh, I knew I was gonna forget.
- 28:06Speaker 1: I know either way, he's obviously they're facing Argentina with Messi,
- 28:12Speaker 1: right Messi. There's a commercial from eighteen years ago where
- 28:17Speaker 1: Messi is bathing this kid. That is why when he
- 28:21Speaker 1: was a baby it was a UNISEF commercial, okay, and
- 28:25Speaker 1: he's literally a I mean a newborn baby and Messi's
- 28:28Speaker 1: twenty years old at the time and he's pretending to
- 28:32Speaker 1: bathe this kid for some UNISEF commercial And now they're
- 28:35Speaker 1: facing each other in the World Cup finals.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Life is so funny in that way.
- 28:40Speaker 1: It's the smallest big world ever. Yeah, for sure, what
- 28:44Speaker 1: a weird thing to happen. Yeah, it's just we're in
- 28:47Speaker 1: a simulation. Anyway, keeps go.
- 28:48Speaker 4: Ahead, I know, guys, listen to this little food news
- 28:51Speaker 4: for you. Camel soup is getting into the protein craze
- 28:55Speaker 4: with a new line of five protein soups.
- 28:58Speaker 2: So they're made with a bone bra the base, which
- 29:00Speaker 2: makes sense.
- 29:01Speaker 4: They have twenty grams of protein, so they'll stand out
- 29:03Speaker 4: because they have a green label when you find them
- 29:06Speaker 4: in the store. But the flavors are everything from Southwest
- 29:09Speaker 4: black bean to Mediterranean lentil, and I just feel like
- 29:12Speaker 4: what else needs protein?
- 29:14Speaker 2: Soup makes sense because it's bone.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Broth and it's you're awesome. Yeah, I knew you were
- 29:17Speaker 1: going to do the protein story.
- 29:19Speaker 2: What's fascinating? How much like now we have protein coffee, Like,
- 29:22Speaker 2: can't you? I think it's Starbucks. There's like a protein
- 29:25Speaker 2: version of that.
- 29:26Speaker 1: It's a big trend right now.
- 29:27Speaker 2: Obestly, I mean the brownies.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Do you know what's next? What is the parasite trend?
- 29:34Speaker 1: They're gonna start putting the parasites and things on purpose well.
- 29:37Speaker 4: Because people are saying they're losing fifteen pounds on this thing,
- 29:39Speaker 4: and they're like, why am I taking this to lose weight?
- 29:41Speaker 1: Yeah, forgetto zempi. People are trying to catch the parasite.
- 29:44Speaker 1: I know, isn't that insane? Insane? I mean, don't do this.
- 29:47Speaker 1: I can't be back to say it, but I mean,
- 29:49Speaker 1: I'm going to No. No, I was at Kroger yesterday
- 29:53Speaker 1: just eating ross cilantra. I'm about to look hot in August.
- 29:58Speaker 1: I'm about to look slim lean. Give me the protein
- 30:01Speaker 1: and parasites.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Real quick, guys.
- 30:05Speaker 4: HGTV just announced the new renovation competition series called Totally

- 30:28Speaker 4: and transform homes that are stuck in the nineties.
- 30:31Speaker 2: It premieres August twenty six.
- 30:33Speaker 5: I thought they were going to take houses and make
- 30:35Speaker 5: them into the nineties.
- 30:36Speaker 4: I did two at first, but no, these are people
- 30:38Speaker 4: that need to get in the oka at.
- 30:40Speaker 1: The times the program like what was a big nineties
- 30:43Speaker 1: trend as far as homes.
- 30:45Speaker 4: You think, I remember our house had teal carpet at
- 30:48Speaker 4: one point.
- 30:49Speaker 2: The house we bought in ninety three, was it ninety three?
- 30:52Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 30:52Speaker 2: I think so.
- 30:53Speaker 1: Did it have plastic on the couches?
- 30:55Speaker 2: Probably on the lamps, on the lamp sheets.
- 30:58Speaker 1: One of our houses had that. Would Oh yeah, so
- 31:02Speaker 1: that is coming back.
- 31:04Speaker 2: So there's a way to make it trendy.
- 31:05Speaker 1: They figured it out, find a way. I remember there
- 31:08Speaker 1: were certain couches we couldn't sit on as.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Kids, Yeah, in the formal living room.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Yeah, and the plastic couch was one of them. I'm
- 31:13Speaker 1: like Grandma, nobody wants to sit on the plastic couch.
- 31:16Speaker 2: It's not even comfortable.
- 31:17Speaker 5: We're going to stick to it. Get in your whole five.
- 31:22Speaker 2: Exactly what a time. I'm Cando slow Pez. Those are
- 31:25Speaker 2: your Texas top stories. Off to promise you'll feel better.
- 31:30Speaker 1: Welcome to the dirty Little Secret.
- 31:31Speaker 5: It is time to confess. It's makes one o two
- 31:33Speaker 5: point nine Happy Thursday.
- 31:35Speaker 1: It's bail like a kid. Canda slow Pez over there,
- 31:37Speaker 1: producer poo over here in your Secrets at eight three, three, seven,
- 31:40Speaker 1: eight seven one o two nine. Okay, bring it. It's
- 31:42Speaker 1: a no judgment zone. We listen, but we don't judge. Yeah,
- 31:47Speaker 1: sort of okay, and we don't judge hard. Okay, we're
- 31:51Speaker 1: friendly judging all right now. If you have when you
- 31:53Speaker 1: just called her, you can DM me at Billy on
- 31:54Speaker 1: the radio and you do. So what's going on?
- 31:56Speaker 6: Well, my husband and I were to a huge Work
- 31:59Speaker 6: of July party with our group of friends. And we've
- 32:03Speaker 6: all known each other since college, and we're talking about
- 32:06Speaker 6: a big party. There were maybe sixty seventy people there. Well,
- 32:10Speaker 6: at one point, my husband was inside and I was
- 32:14Speaker 6: just sitting by the fire when my friend's husband came
- 32:17Speaker 6: over and sat down next to me, Which seemed normal, right.
- 32:22Speaker 6: I've known him forever, he's been married for years. He's
- 32:25Speaker 6: one of those guys you would never ever expect to
- 32:29Speaker 6: cross a line.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Oh god, Yeah.
- 32:32Speaker 6: He wasn't stumbling around drunk either. So he sits down
- 32:35Speaker 6: next to me, like flops himself down, and he looked
- 32:37Speaker 6: at me and said, I know this was coming out
- 32:41Speaker 6: of nowhere, but I feel like I got to say it.
- 32:43Speaker 6: I've always been in love with you.
- 32:46Speaker 1: What he's always been in love with you?
- 32:52Speaker 6: Yes, yes, in love. I thought he was joking.
- 32:55Speaker 1: I really did, But how do you know he wasn't.
- 32:59Speaker 1: For sure, he wasn't and he wasn't drunk. So he's
- 33:02Speaker 1: just coming out of nowhere and saying this.
- 33:04Speaker 6: Yeah, just just what I mean? I was flabb or
- 33:08Speaker 6: he acted.
- 33:09Speaker 5: What do you even say? How do you react when
- 33:11Speaker 5: this happens? I don't know what I would do.
- 33:13Speaker 6: My words just got caught in my throat. But he continued,
- 33:18Speaker 6: so I didn't have to say anything yet. He told
- 33:21Speaker 6: me that he'd always felt this like special connection and
- 33:25Speaker 6: that sometimes he wonders if he married the wrong woman.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Oh god, you two never had anything like any kind
- 33:34Speaker 1: of weird things beforehand or in the past. It's because
- 33:37Speaker 1: you said you've known each.
- 33:38Speaker 6: Other not at all. That's the crazy part. There was
- 33:43Speaker 6: never some secret romance or almost relationship. We've just known
- 33:48Speaker 6: each other forever. Yeah, and we're all in the same
- 33:50Speaker 6: friend group period.
- 33:52Speaker 1: That's it, right.
- 33:53Speaker 6: So I'll keep replaying this moment because I wish I
- 33:56Speaker 6: had shut it down immediately. I wish i'd said stop,
- 34:01Speaker 6: don't say that.
- 34:02Speaker 9: Instead.
- 34:02Speaker 6: All I could get out was I don't know what
- 34:04Speaker 6: to say.
- 34:05Speaker 1: So you said, so you said, I don't. So you
- 34:09Speaker 1: told him after he says this, you say, I don't
- 34:12Speaker 1: know what to say, you know, because it.
- 34:13Speaker 6: Was just so shocking, you know what I'm saying, Like
- 34:17Speaker 6: you either have a lot to say or nothing. It's
- 34:20Speaker 6: like fight or flight, you know, and I just froze instead.
- 34:24Speaker 10: I get that.
- 34:25Speaker 1: I get it you kind of shut down in the
- 34:27Speaker 1: moment in shock. But I don't know what you do
- 34:29Speaker 1: after this. This never happened to me.
- 34:31Speaker 6: No, That's what I feel guilty about because I walked
- 34:34Speaker 6: back inside because they didn't say anything, you know, not
- 34:37Speaker 6: because I encouraged him. I absolutely didn't. But the hardest
- 34:41Speaker 6: part to admit is I do understand what he meant.
- 34:46Speaker 6: What do you mean?
- 34:47Speaker 1: I love.
- 34:49Speaker 6: My husband with everything I have, Like, I would never
- 34:52Speaker 6: do anything to jeopardize my marriage. But over the past
- 34:55Speaker 6: few years him and I have become closer friends. And
- 34:59Speaker 6: I'm one of the only people that knows his wife
- 35:02Speaker 6: had an affair with a co worker a while back.
- 35:05Speaker 6: Oh yeah, that knows. They went to counseling and they
- 35:11Speaker 6: stayed together ever since that happened. You know, I've never
- 35:15Speaker 6: noticed him, but I noticed it on my end. He's
- 35:17Speaker 6: looked at me just a little bit differently, and he's
- 35:20Speaker 6: treated me a little bit differently. I always thought he
- 35:24Speaker 6: was an incredible husband, a great dad, and just an
- 35:26Speaker 6: all around good guy, y'all. I'd be lying if I
- 35:30Speaker 6: said I didn't feel that connection to not enough you. Yes,
- 35:36Speaker 6: I do, but but let me not in a romantic way,
- 35:40Speaker 6: just something that was different, something so I didn't. I
- 35:44Speaker 6: wasn't even sure he knew, you know. So that's why
- 35:48Speaker 6: this scares me.
- 35:49Speaker 1: Have you told your husband, no, y'all, just you.
- 35:55Speaker 6: I haven't told any of my friends.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Has he followed up as he texts, you called, you
- 36:00Speaker 1: pulled your aside again, or it's nothing, it's been just
- 36:02Speaker 1: ever since then, there's been no contact.
- 36:04Speaker 6: Well, I haven't really reached he hasn't reached out. We
- 36:08Speaker 6: haven't talk.
- 36:09Speaker 1: This is kind of what happens, though, when you open
- 36:11Speaker 1: yourself up emotionally to anybody who's vulnerable. And I'm not
- 36:14Speaker 1: saying you did anything wrong, because you know, especially if
- 36:17Speaker 1: your husband's aware that he was cheated on and he
- 36:20Speaker 1: knows the situation, then it feels like, well, we're just
- 36:22Speaker 1: being good friends.
- 36:24Speaker 3: By that.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Yeah, but that would but you gotta tell your husband
- 36:28Speaker 1: there's I just don't see a way around it. If
- 36:31Speaker 1: I found out that, you know, my girlfriend or wife,
- 36:34Speaker 1: that one of my friends went to her and said this,
- 36:37Speaker 1: I would be so devastated if she didn't tell me. Yeah,
- 36:41Speaker 1: but like I said, I.
- 36:41Speaker 6: Would do nothing to jeopardize my relate I.
- 36:44Speaker 1: Know, and I'm not saying you would, but it is
- 36:46Speaker 1: kind of I would be nervous if you were. If
- 36:48Speaker 1: you were my wife and you told me, I mean,
- 36:50Speaker 1: I do notice that we did have a connection of
- 36:53Speaker 1: some sort of not romantic way. I don't like that.
- 36:55Speaker 1: I'd be like, wait, can't tell me, what do you
- 36:58Speaker 1: mean a connection? We definitely ain't going to the Labor
- 37:01Speaker 1: Day party, right, Well, you've got to let us know
- 37:06Speaker 1: what happens and if anything else does go down, and
- 37:09Speaker 1: let us know.
- 37:10Speaker 6: Oh yeah, thank you, I will thank you guys so much.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Well you're welcome. Hang on, what uh yeah, what in
- 37:17Speaker 1: the world I'm not. I don't want to say she's lying,
- 37:20Speaker 1: because I don't think she necessarily is. But it's fird
- 37:22Speaker 1: to me that you say, there you do feel something.
- 37:25Speaker 2: Yeah, the whole thing's weird. I don't like this spread group.
- 37:27Speaker 1: I don't Yeah, way too close when someone open it.
- 37:31Speaker 1: I feel like when guys get cheated on it. Maybe
- 37:33Speaker 1: I'm crazy. When guys get cheated on it, they look
- 37:35Speaker 1: at it as like an automatic. Well now I can cheat, right,
- 37:38Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Yeah, so like, well she cheated,
- 37:40Speaker 1: so I mean, yeah, it shouldn't work like that. She's
- 37:43Speaker 1: got one on the board. Let me get one on
- 37:44Speaker 1: the board and then it's fair. Ye. Not'm saying it's right,
- 37:48Speaker 1: but I feel like that happens again. Court it gets
- 37:52Speaker 1: settled here with Billy the Kid in the morning, All
- 37:55Speaker 1: rise and get out your phones too if you don't
- 37:57Speaker 1: have it, because you got to sign up. I mean, seriously,
- 37:59Speaker 1: before we start this sports session, you don't realize the
- 38:01Speaker 1: free grocery jackpot is up to two thousand dollars right now.
- 38:05Speaker 1: That is so much money. And I'm gonna call someone
- 38:07Speaker 1: coming up next. So like eight o'clock, if your phone rings,
- 38:10Speaker 1: you better answered. I want my Mix one O two
- 38:11Speaker 1: point nine for this two thousand dollars. Otherwise it keeps

- 38:17Speaker 1: come on, you gotta sign up quick. iHeartRadio. If you
- 38:19Speaker 1: don't have it, go to Mix one O two nine

- 38:23Speaker 1: Tap that mic and say it just practice. I want
- 38:25Speaker 1: my mix one O two point nine and you'd be
- 38:27Speaker 1: signed up. All right, Cannas Court CANDUs who you're ready judge?
- 38:31Speaker 1: All right, good morning guys. Please help me. I've been
- 38:33Speaker 1: battling my husband about a work trip he has coming up.
- 38:35Speaker 1: And here's why. He's got a work trip happening next
- 38:38Speaker 1: month in Las Vegas. It's a convention, so his whole
- 38:41Speaker 1: office is going. The problem is that it's ex wife
- 38:46Speaker 1: works in the same industry as well as him and
- 38:49Speaker 1: will also be there, and every company attending the convention
- 38:52Speaker 1: is staying at the same hotel. I would go with him,
- 38:56Speaker 1: but I just had a baby, so there's just no way.
- 38:59Speaker 1: Ex has tried to get back together with him several
- 39:01Speaker 1: times while he has been with me, so I don't
- 39:05Speaker 1: trust her at all. I appreciate my husband being honest
- 39:08Speaker 1: and telling me she was going to be staying in
- 39:10Speaker 1: the same hotel, and while I don't think he would
- 39:13Speaker 1: cheat on me with her, I hate this. I hate it.
- 39:17Speaker 1: I told him I want him to stay at a
- 39:19Speaker 1: hotel off the strip, but he says he needs to
- 39:22Speaker 1: want to pay for a hotel when his company's paying
- 39:24Speaker 1: for him to stay at the other one. Am I
- 39:27Speaker 1: being unreasonable not wanting him to stay at the same
- 39:30Speaker 1: hotel as his crazy ex? Oh this is a good one.
- 39:35Speaker 1: It's a good one, Candice. I mean, what an interesting
- 39:37Speaker 1: dilemma to be in. But sometimes he's conventions, that's what happens.
- 39:40Speaker 4: Yeah, you're not being unreasonable for not wanting him to
- 39:43Speaker 4: stay there.
- 39:44Speaker 2: Now, maybe having to pay for a hotel just so
- 39:47Speaker 2: he's not that's tough.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Well, you do what you gotta do.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean sorry, I.
- 39:53Speaker 4: Hate that he's even going to this. Part of me
- 39:55Speaker 4: wants to be like, he can't go because we have
- 39:57Speaker 4: a baby.
- 39:58Speaker 5: Right, can you skip the convention?
- 40:00Speaker 1: First of all, can I just say something Conventions are
- 40:02Speaker 1: just a reason for employees to get hammered? Oh god, yeah,
- 40:08Speaker 1: are there?
- 40:09Speaker 5: Maybe it's just my industry or our industry were conventions
- 40:12Speaker 5: are a joke?
- 40:13Speaker 4: Well remember our friends that just went to like that
- 40:15Speaker 4: beauty convention in Vegas or whatever. Our friend was talking
- 40:17Speaker 4: about how he went with his wife and they were
- 40:19Speaker 4: just like raging.
- 40:21Speaker 2: Right, They're like, oh yeah, Vegas.
- 40:22Speaker 1: During the day, we you know, walked around whatever the convention,
- 40:25Speaker 1: but then we were really just there to drink. Yeah.
- 40:27Speaker 1: I feel like these conventions are just an excuse for
- 40:30Speaker 1: these companies to go crazy.
- 40:31Speaker 2: Yeah, but get it.
- 40:33Speaker 1: I could be wrong. I don't know. Some conventions might
- 40:35Speaker 1: be worth it might be very professional, But I would
- 40:39Speaker 1: not be okay with this.
- 40:40Speaker 4: This would be a struggle for me, especially if I'm
- 40:42Speaker 4: home with the new baby while you're out here doing this.
- 40:45Speaker 2: But she trusts him, which is good.
- 40:47Speaker 4: And I mean he told her if he like was
- 40:50Speaker 4: up to something, why would he tell her my ex
- 40:52Speaker 4: wife's gonna.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Be there exactly. Yeah, he'd be hiding it from the start.
- 40:56Speaker 7: So you just need to learn to trust me, trust
- 40:58Speaker 7: in your man, Trust that I ain't gonna do nothing
- 41:01Speaker 7: with her.
- 41:01Speaker 1: I'm going out there to do my thing and bring
- 41:03Speaker 1: home the money. I see what you're saying. But at
- 41:06Speaker 1: the same time, I think you can trust somebody and
- 41:08Speaker 1: still be in an uncomfortable situation that you would rather avoid.
- 41:11Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true.
- 41:12Speaker 1: I trust you, But this and she's I mean, I'm assuming,
- 41:16Speaker 1: I don't know. She's emotional, she just had a child.
- 41:18Speaker 2: Yeah, she's got a lot on her plate. She's where
- 41:21Speaker 2: you are, and she is I.
- 41:22Speaker 1: Would probably just for I don't know, the sake of
- 41:25Speaker 1: her sanity and less worry. Be like, yeah, let me
- 41:28Speaker 1: just stay at a different hotel. Yeah, I would probably
- 41:31Speaker 1: do that. Who's gonna call me assume, Peter? I mean
- 41:33Speaker 1: you are?
- 41:34Speaker 7: Why are you gonna spend money like you gotta trust?
- 41:37Speaker 7: If I haven't done anything to break your trust? Why
- 41:40Speaker 7: would I start?
- 41:40Speaker 1: Now?
- 41:41Speaker 3: I know?
- 41:41Speaker 1: But it's not even just about trust to me. It's
- 41:43Speaker 1: about how can I go. If she was always doing
- 41:47Speaker 1: stuff to try to control me, it'd be different. But
- 41:49Speaker 1: if this is one of the situations that she's brought
- 41:52Speaker 1: up that makes her uncomfortable, why would I not want
- 41:54Speaker 1: to avoid it If it's less stress on.
- 41:56Speaker 2: Her, Yeah, to give her a peace of mind.
- 41:57Speaker 4: But at the same time, you're still going to be
- 41:59Speaker 4: at that hotel tell where the convention is going on,
- 42:02Speaker 4: with the same person.
- 42:03Speaker 1: But it's just the I guess, the peace of mind
- 42:06Speaker 1: for her knowing that I'm going down the strip and
- 42:09Speaker 1: I'm staying somewhere else. If that gives her a little
- 42:11Speaker 1: bit of comfort, I don't mind doing it. Whatever, call
- 42:13Speaker 1: me Simpy the kid or whatever who wants to. I'm
- 42:16Speaker 1: just saying that's fine. I like that if something's gonna happen,
- 42:20Speaker 1: it can happen down the strip. But that's my point. Yeah,
- 42:22Speaker 1: of course, but she can.
- 42:23Speaker 7: She can catch it uber to my hotel room down
- 42:26Speaker 7: the strip, like she better or not. I'm just saying
- 42:28Speaker 7: that I'm not gonna spend all that money. Listen, trust me.
- 42:31Speaker 7: You just gotta trust me, girl, period.
- 42:34Speaker 1: All right. I'm just let me ask you, poo, you'd
- 42:37Speaker 1: be okay with your girl going to a convention where
- 42:41Speaker 1: her ex who wants her back is staying and they're
- 42:43Speaker 1: staying in the same hotel on a drunken convention weekend.
- 42:48Speaker 1: This guy, Yeah, I'm not gonna worry about it. That's
- 42:50Speaker 1: a lie. Play the line music immediately.
- 42:52Speaker 7: I'm not I'm not gonna worry about it. I'm not
- 42:55Speaker 7: so worried about it. I'm not as insecure as you are.
- 42:58Speaker 7: I don't get like, I don't about that she's gonna cheat,
- 43:02Speaker 7: she gonna cheat, Like, yeah, I wonder.
- 43:04Speaker 4: If his wife has ever been cheated on, because if
- 43:06Speaker 4: she is, you never that feeling never goes away.
- 43:08Speaker 2: I think, like you, it's always like back there.
- 43:11Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, why why does it have to be?
- 43:14Speaker 5: I'm insecure.
- 43:15Speaker 7: I'm just saying because I wouldn't care like in my
- 43:18Speaker 7: scenario would if in my scenario, if she's paying all
- 43:21Speaker 7: the bills, I wouldn't even say nothing.
- 43:22Speaker 1: Just go go to the commission. She's paying all the bills.
- 43:26Speaker 2: I just assuming he's paying all the bills.
- 43:28Speaker 1: No, I'm just what a weird assumption what you said
- 43:30Speaker 1: about me?
- 43:31Speaker 7: If I if my girl in my dream scenario, the
- 43:34Speaker 7: woman would be the bread winner and I'd just be
- 43:36Speaker 7: at home chilling.
- 43:37Speaker 5: I wouldn't have a simp. Yeah, you call me a
- 43:42Speaker 5: sick Oh you'll be the simpath.
- 43:44Speaker 1: That's the case. You really want that? I love the
- 43:49Speaker 1: sugar mama. Yeah, my idea is one.
- 43:51Speaker 2: I kind of want that for him, you do, Yeah,
- 43:53Speaker 2: in a weird way.
- 43:54Speaker 1: I love a sugar mama. Well you don't want good.
- 43:57Speaker 1: I hope he gets one too, And I hope she's
- 43:59Speaker 1: like eighty five ninety and yeah, oh yeah.
- 44:03Speaker 7: If you see me holding hands with her in the
- 44:05Speaker 7: galleria coming out there, hope, coming out the Louis store,
- 44:08Speaker 7: mind your business.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Yeah, changing her depends, Oh my god, whatever you want, baby.
- 44:15Speaker 5: Yeah, wows take me to meet cousina? Yeah, baby, we'll go. Yeah,
- 44:20Speaker 5: but he's going at like ten when they open.
- 44:22Speaker 2: So nobody sees after their ma walk.
- 44:24Speaker 1: Yeah you want a mambo baby, No, I can't drink that,
- 44:31Speaker 1: but I brought an insure. Okay, there you go. Let
- 44:35Speaker 1: me get you a straw. Oh gosh, okay, do we
- 44:38Speaker 1: have a vertican?
- 44:39Speaker 6: We do?
- 44:39Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 44:40Speaker 2: Look, dude, you're guilty of being a gambling greg.
- 44:42Speaker 4: Oh no, if you don't switch hotels, you better be
- 44:46Speaker 4: in touch with her like your life depends on it.
- 44:48Speaker 4: I want the play by play of your entire trip.
- 44:51Speaker 5: You want to you better facetimey life three sixty or whatever.
- 44:54Speaker 2: The sixty location whatever.
- 44:57Speaker 1: I'm putting affle tag on you. Yeah, airG I'm air
- 45:00Speaker 1: tagging you up.
- 45:01Speaker 2: Yeah, one hundred percent, like you're.
- 45:03Speaker 5: A sea lion in the wild, just so I can track.
- 45:05Speaker 2: You and make sure you're yeah, exactly.
- 45:07Speaker 5: I don't trust her, right, Yes, he is guilty.
- 45:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I being a gambling crag.
- 45:11Speaker 6: There you go.
- 45:13Speaker 1: This is tough stories on the Tents with Billy the
- 45:15Speaker 1: Kid in the morning.
- 45:16Speaker 2: Only on the new Mixed one O two point nine.
- 45:19Speaker 1: I was sneaking. Vanessa was going to answer that I
- 45:22Speaker 1: had a feeling, but I guess I was wrong, all right,
- 45:24Speaker 1: Candicelowpez what's up.
- 45:25Speaker 4: Well, A state of emergency has been declared across fifty
- 45:28Speaker 4: nine Texas counties as historic flooding continues in the Hill
- 45:31Speaker 4: Country this morning. Uh, they had seventy five water rescues
- 45:36Speaker 4: already just in Uvaldi County. They've had half a year's
- 45:40Speaker 4: worth of rain there. We're talking up to twenty inches. Uh,
- 45:43Speaker 4: I think at the peak yesterday they said at least
- 45:45Speaker 4: one hundred and fourteen roads in Texas were flooded. They
- 45:49Speaker 4: also had an EF one tornado near San Antonio yesterday too,
- 45:53Speaker 4: So this is a wild July again in this area.
- 45:56Speaker 1: And I'm going to be raining here a little bit more.
- 45:58Speaker 1: But we've got I think a signific get amount of
- 46:00Speaker 1: rain for the summer than we normally do.
- 46:02Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, this last couple of days has been
- 46:04Speaker 4: pretty good, but they're expecting more rounds of heavy rain today.
- 46:07Speaker 4: This range just doesn't let up. It just sits there
- 46:10Speaker 4: and moves really slowly.
- 46:11Speaker 2: And it's they're saying it's not going to really change
- 46:13Speaker 2: much until tomorrow.
- 46:14Speaker 1: I see. I don't like that. Yeah. I have friends
- 46:16Speaker 1: in Bernie down there and their backyard's flooded. It's it's
- 46:19Speaker 1: getting really messy.
- 46:20Speaker 5: So and you know what's crazy is a lot of
- 46:22Speaker 5: the insurance doesn't cover the flooding.
- 46:24Speaker 1: That's awful. So when this hits, which it's just not normal.
- 46:28Speaker 1: I mean, it's devastating financially for a lot of these families.
- 46:31Speaker 1: So we're thinking about them for sure.
- 46:33Speaker 5: Guys.
- 46:33Speaker 4: I got an update to that story that came out
- 46:35Speaker 4: of Yellowstone National Park. Did you guys see that bison
- 46:38Speaker 4: that tossed that man.
- 46:40Speaker 2: Yeah, the video went viral.
- 46:45Speaker 4: The bison basically tossed up a sixty five year old
- 46:48Speaker 4: grandfa grandfather eight feet into the air. They're saying, nothing's
- 46:53Speaker 4: going to happen to that animal. They're not going to
- 46:55Speaker 4: anthemize it or anything. And it's a wild animal who
- 46:57Speaker 4: lives there, so this makes sense. But the man with
- 47:00Speaker 4: his grandson, he was with his grandson when this happened.
- 47:02Speaker 2: Last week.
- 47:03Speaker 4: He had surgery for a broken femur. But they're saying,
- 47:07Speaker 4: you know, it's mating season there, so the animals are
- 47:09Speaker 4: obviously more aggressive, and they're telling people, you know, reminding
- 47:13Speaker 4: people stay at least seventy five feet away from bison
- 47:16Speaker 4: and elk.
- 47:17Speaker 1: Yeah, in the area the guy was and I'm not
- 47:18Speaker 1: saying it's his fault, but he was close. Yeah, and
- 47:21Speaker 1: he's what seventy five he.
- 47:22Speaker 2: Said sixty five or sixty five, so he's.
- 47:24Speaker 1: Sixty five and then the bison turns to him and
- 47:26Speaker 1: kind of looks, and they run faster than you think.
- 47:28Speaker 1: Oh yeah, they're big, but they can move right. So
- 47:31Speaker 1: that thing just chased it around a tree, chased him
- 47:33Speaker 1: around a tree and got ahold of him and just
- 47:35Speaker 1: you know, yeaded that dude right in the air.
- 47:37Speaker 4: Yeah, it was hard for me to tell like how
- 47:39Speaker 4: close they were based on the video. They seem like
- 47:42Speaker 4: they were trying to give it space. But those things
- 47:44Speaker 4: are really.
- 47:45Speaker 2: Majestic when you see him in person. And Yellowstone, yeah
- 47:47Speaker 2: they are.
- 47:47Speaker 1: But I'm staying I'm not gonna listen. If I'm going
- 47:49Speaker 1: to Yellowstone, I'm not getting out of my car. Yeah, yeah,
- 47:52Speaker 1: I see an animal, Like I saw this video of
- 47:54Speaker 1: these tourists and they're running towards a bear and his
- 47:57Speaker 1: cup the cubs because they wanted picture. So they're running.
- 48:01Speaker 1: Get out of the car and they run. Yeah, and
- 48:03Speaker 1: I'm like, see this is what happens. Then you get
- 48:05Speaker 1: mauled and the bear's gotta go down.
- 48:07Speaker 2: Yeah, like no, no, she's probably just protecting her babies.
- 48:10Speaker 2: Don't get nearer with the cubs, right, don't.
- 48:11Speaker 1: What are you doing running towards a wild animal that
- 48:14Speaker 1: will kill you. You're not at a zoo, right, right,
- 48:16Speaker 1: You're just dumb?
- 48:18Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 48:18Speaker 1: Don who laughs at this guy getting cool, laughs at
- 48:22Speaker 1: the inappropriate things. I was trying not to, but what
- 48:24Speaker 1: I saw it, it's just like, I mean, we've been
- 48:28Speaker 1: at funerals where he laughs. Oh yeah, I mean he
- 48:30Speaker 1: can't help it. It's like his nervous crutch.
- 48:32Speaker 6: Ya.
- 48:33Speaker 5: But we'll be at a funeral it's all sad, and
- 48:34Speaker 5: all of a sudden, I look over and he's like.
- 48:37Speaker 1: And I'm like stop, Oh my gosh.
- 48:40Speaker 2: He's probably gonna laugh at this for sure.
- 48:42Speaker 4: This woman in Florida, she got her license plate from
- 48:46Speaker 4: the state and she's kind of become a local celebrity there.
- 48:49Speaker 2: She's seventy six.
- 48:51Speaker 4: Everyone in her retirement community is talking about this. She
- 48:53Speaker 4: got her license plate back from the DMV and here's
- 48:57Speaker 4: what it read.
- 48:57Speaker 2: S q z A five five. Oh so like squeeze that.
- 49:04Speaker 1: Word booty, Yeah exactly, I love it. I'd be so hyped.
- 49:08Speaker 4: Well, she was really upset at first, but everyone was like, no,
- 49:11Speaker 4: you should keep it. You can have some fun getting
- 49:13Speaker 4: a bunch of honks out of it when you're driving
- 49:14Speaker 4: around town. Her county offered to replace the plate for free,
- 49:19Speaker 4: but she says, you know, her sons and friends think
- 49:22Speaker 4: she should.
- 49:22Speaker 2: Keep it, but she does. She has it for ten years.
- 49:24Speaker 1: The video is so funny of her on the news. Yeah,
- 49:27Speaker 1: she's like, this is ridiculous. And then she goes around
- 49:29Speaker 1: the retirement home and asks one of the old men
- 49:31Speaker 1: who was like eighty nine. She goes, look at this,
- 49:34Speaker 1: and he goes, I think you should keep it.
- 49:38Speaker 4: Yeah, it happens, but if you look at it, it
- 49:42Speaker 4: looks like she ordered that plate like a vanity.
- 49:44Speaker 3: I know.
- 49:44Speaker 1: That's why it's awesome. Yeah, she's driving around with a
- 49:47Speaker 1: squeeze booty plate.
- 49:49Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. All right, I don't cana slowpez. Those
- 49:52Speaker 2: are your Texas top stories. That's a hot take.
- 49:56Speaker 1: Let us know what you think.
- 49:57Speaker 6: Here's today's hot take.
- 49:58Speaker 1: It makes one or two point nine. And by the way,
- 50:00Speaker 1: the jackpot for the free groceries now up to two thousand,
- 50:03Speaker 1: two hundred and fifty dollars. If you missed it, we're
- 50:06Speaker 1: gonna call somebody at nine o'clock. I know, I can't
- 50:07Speaker 1: believe an est didn't answer. A lot of people are
- 50:09Speaker 1: not answering. Somebody DM me and they're like, it's because
- 50:11Speaker 1: all these spam calls. Oh. I'm like, I do get it.
- 50:15Speaker 1: But you know what, you sign up for this contest.
- 50:17Speaker 1: You know we're gonna call you. You got to answer
- 50:18Speaker 1: your phone. I want my mix one o two point nine,
- 50:20Speaker 1: So be ready. I'll call somebody again at nine o'clock
- 50:24Speaker 1: and sign up on the iHeartRadio app Mix one oh
- 50:26Speaker 1: two nine. Find us on there, hit that talkback mic
- 50:29Speaker 1: and say I want my mix one o two point nine. Okay,
- 50:32Speaker 1: hot take of the day. We've argued about tipping plenty
- 50:35Speaker 1: of times, but this is a little bit different in
- 50:38Speaker 1: tipping culture, especially with the World Cup. A lot of
- 50:41Speaker 1: people who are coming to the United States from overseas
- 50:44Speaker 1: thought that the tipping culture was out of control, right,
- 50:47Speaker 1: not just as a matter of fact. You know what's
- 50:49Speaker 1: funny is I got I got asked to tip the
- 50:51Speaker 1: other day in the most random place ever. I was
- 50:53Speaker 1: buying a shirt online what from a small company, and
- 50:57Speaker 1: when I checked out, it said would you like to
- 51:00Speaker 1: leave a tip? And I thought wow, I thought for what? Yeah, right,
- 51:05Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know.
- 51:06Speaker 2: I don't have to answer to that.
- 51:07Speaker 1: And I folded my shirt. I'm a sucker for tip
- 51:10Speaker 1: in two Yeah, like I will tip, but that was
- 51:12Speaker 1: one time. I'm like, I didn't even talk to anybody, right,
- 51:15Speaker 1: I'm talking to a computer.
- 51:17Speaker 3: Right.
- 51:17Speaker 2: I ordered a cake and they online and they wanted
- 51:19Speaker 2: a twenty percent tip, but I gave it to them.
- 51:21Speaker 1: You did, yes, you did.
- 51:23Speaker 2: I just felt like the price of the cake is
- 51:25Speaker 2: the cake.
- 51:25Speaker 5: Right now, they're going to spit in my.
- 51:26Speaker 2: Cake if I don't right spell the name on there.
- 51:29Speaker 5: Now, they're going to spit on my shirt.
- 51:33Speaker 1: Okay. So this girl she posted basically the receipt of
- 51:37Speaker 1: a meal that she had at Perry's Steakhouse okay, which
- 51:40Speaker 1: is of course a nice spot, really good spot, and
- 51:44Speaker 1: the total was six hundred and twenty nine dollars and
- 51:47Speaker 1: seventy three cents. She tipped nine dollars.
- 51:52Speaker 2: Why nine dollars which.
- 51:53Speaker 1: The twenty percent tip would have been one hundred and
- 51:56Speaker 1: twenty two dollars, right, and fifty four cents to be exactly,
- 52:00Speaker 1: but way more than nine dollars. Then she posted it
- 52:03Speaker 1: online and people started going off, Yeah, I would say.
- 52:08Speaker 1: Seventy percent of the people were like, come on, what
- 52:09Speaker 1: are you doing?
- 52:10Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 52:11Speaker 5: Her explanation, though she put it in words I've never
- 52:14Speaker 5: really heard it put like this before.
- 52:15Speaker 1: Are you ready with this? Is what she has to
- 52:18Speaker 1: say about why she tipped nine dollars. She said to everyone,
- 52:22Speaker 1: acting like tipping rules are written in stone. Let's talk
- 52:25Speaker 1: about it. I had a six hundred and twelve dollars
- 52:28Speaker 1: dinner bill. Suddenly I'm quote supposed to leave over one
- 52:33Speaker 1: hundred and twenty dollars just.
- 52:34Speaker 5: Because the total was higher.
- 52:37Speaker 1: She says, it's the same plates, carried, same drinks, refilled,
- 52:42Speaker 1: same amount of time at the table, but somehow the
- 52:44Speaker 1: menu prices decide the servers pay.
- 52:47Speaker 6: Huh.
- 52:47Speaker 1: I left nine dollars. That's still real money for a
- 52:50Speaker 1: couple of hours of service. But the mood shifted immediately,
- 52:54Speaker 1: like I had broken some unspoken law. The manager came
- 52:57Speaker 1: over talking about quote industry standard, as if that settles
- 53:01Speaker 1: the whole debate. Since when does a more expensive meal
- 53:04Speaker 1: automatically mean more effort? Fire order a fifty dollars entree
- 53:09Speaker 1: instead of a twenty dollars one, does the plate suddenly
- 53:12Speaker 1: way more? I do tip for good service, But I
- 53:16Speaker 1: don't think it tip should automatically become a percentage based
- 53:19Speaker 1: ser charge just because this restaurant happens to charge more. So, honestly,
- 53:25Speaker 1: is that fair? Or have we just gotten so used
- 53:27Speaker 1: to used to it that we don't question it? And
- 53:31Speaker 1: then people started going off in the comments, But I mean,
- 53:35Speaker 1: do I think you.
- 53:36Speaker 5: Should have to tip more? Like would I have tipped
- 53:38Speaker 5: one hundred and twenty dollars?
- 53:39Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, for sure I would have because that's what
- 53:42Speaker 2: you do.
- 53:43Speaker 1: And maybe I am a sucker, maybe I am used
- 53:46Speaker 1: to it, but these servers are not getting paid right
- 53:50Speaker 1: appropriate salary.
- 53:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, she has a point that makes sense,
- 53:54Speaker 2: that all makes sense to me. That's just not how
- 53:56Speaker 2: we do it here.
- 53:56Speaker 4: But nine dollars that's like not even two percent of
- 53:59Speaker 4: what you have. Couldn't you just take the twenty percent
- 54:02Speaker 4: and be like, here's fifty.
- 54:03Speaker 1: Bucks, right exactly? I mean my whole thing is, if
- 54:06Speaker 1: it's nine dollars, and she said it's a couple of
- 54:08Speaker 1: hours service, then go to what you think a waitress
- 54:11Speaker 1: or a waiter would be paid. And if you're thinking
- 54:13Speaker 1: basically by that mentality, take nine dollars and split it
- 54:17Speaker 1: in two Yeah, that's not good. That's not good. So
- 54:20Speaker 1: that's not even a wage. That should be somebody's two hours.
- 54:23Speaker 1: So even by your standards, to me, it doesn't make sense.
- 54:26Speaker 7: All right now, I know I wouldn't tip nine dollars ago,
- 54:30Speaker 7: I wouldn't tip nine dollars.
- 54:31Speaker 1: I tip more than nine dollars. But I mean she
- 54:33Speaker 1: got a point.
- 54:34Speaker 7: First of all, you took that job, you know, like
- 54:37Speaker 7: the system, the service industry standard is what two thirteen. Like,
- 54:42Speaker 7: you know, where you're gonna make the most money, So
- 54:46Speaker 7: you could have gone somewhere else where you know you're gonna.
- 54:48Speaker 1: Get tipped, you know. According to Yrky, she's at Perry's,
- 54:52Speaker 1: so that's I would expect to hire to get that.
- 54:55Speaker 1: But I mean the service didn't change. She gave her
- 54:57Speaker 1: top not, so that's not true. I do think service changes.
- 55:00Speaker 1: I don't expect the same service from Chili's that I
- 55:03Speaker 1: do at Perry's.
- 55:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I've never been to Perry's, but typically, Yeah, if
- 55:06Speaker 4: you're spending hundreds of dollars on a meal, there's gonna
- 55:09Speaker 4: be multiple courses.
- 55:10Speaker 2: They're gonna be you know, you're gonna get custom like service.
- 55:13Speaker 5: And to me, that's part of the reason why the
- 55:15Speaker 5: food is more expensive.
- 55:16Speaker 1: Yes, it tastes better, but also the quality of service
- 55:18Speaker 1: and expectations are higher, right, So why wouldn't you pay
- 55:21Speaker 1: more for that? I would I tip her a little more,
- 55:23Speaker 1: But I mean, I okay, I'm curious. What would producer
- 55:27Speaker 1: Pooh tip on a six hundred and twelve dollars bill.
- 55:31Speaker 1: I'd probably throw about seventy five seventy five dollars.
- 55:36Speaker 2: You're getting closer.
- 55:37Speaker 1: That's not.
- 55:39Speaker 7: Like if I was on a date, like I went
- 55:41Speaker 7: to Monart, you know, okay, and my meal was like
- 55:44Speaker 7: three hundred something.
- 55:45Speaker 1: It was like it was like, almost what did you tip?
- 55:49Speaker 1: I gave her eighty dollars. I can't do math. I'm
- 55:52Speaker 1: awful of math. Yeah, I gave her about eighty bucks.
- 55:55Speaker 1: I don't think that's twenty percent.
- 55:57Speaker 4: I mean, I mean, if it's three hundred dollars, twenty
- 56:00Speaker 4: persons will be sixty.
- 56:01Speaker 1: It was like three sixty. It is like three sixty.
- 56:03Speaker 2: So you did good.
- 56:04Speaker 1: So that's okay, I mean, but mestage's not approved. You're
- 56:08Speaker 1: my point against.
- 56:09Speaker 7: Okay, Well, first I was on a date, Yeah I was.
- 56:12Speaker 7: That's what I was just about, saying, you tip more
- 56:13Speaker 7: when you're on a day. I wasn't trying to look
- 56:15Speaker 7: lame in front of this girl, so but wow, it
- 56:17Speaker 7: backfired on me anyway.
- 56:18Speaker 1: She didn't. She never called me again. But I'm just
- 56:20Speaker 1: saying I agree. I agree with that lady. You know
- 56:24Speaker 1: it's not her fault.
- 56:25Speaker 2: It's not if you can't tip nine dollars, that's insult right, you.
- 56:29Speaker 1: Just can't come up there and expect like And I
- 56:31Speaker 1: agree with you about chilies. But there's good servers at chili,
- 56:34Speaker 1: sure there are.
- 56:35Speaker 2: Are you gonna tip them extrawhere?
- 56:37Speaker 1: Yeah? I will. That's what I'm saying.
- 56:39Speaker 5: There's good there will tip extra for a great so
- 56:41Speaker 5: I don't care where they're at.
- 56:41Speaker 7: But if it was like three or four hundred dollars
- 56:43Speaker 7: at Chili's, I'm not fixed to give you one hundred
- 56:45Speaker 7: and twenty dollars.
- 56:45Speaker 1: I'll give you what I feel it's best at that time.
- 56:48Speaker 1: I'm going to give him twenty percent, and if the
- 56:49Speaker 1: service is better then I expected, I'm going to give
- 56:52Speaker 1: him more than twenty percent, or I won't go out
- 56:54Speaker 1: to eat. Yeah, I'm not going to spend six hundred
- 56:57Speaker 1: dollars at Perry's if I can't tip one hundred and
- 56:59Speaker 1: twenty dollars least.
- 57:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that's just how we do it here.
- 57:02Speaker 4: I get her point, though, Yeah, if there was no
- 57:04Speaker 4: more work put in to it, why but you're also
- 57:07Speaker 4: at a place that has a great view, and like really,
- 57:10Speaker 4: you know, exceptional environment experience.
- 57:13Speaker 1: Is the only way I change is if servers start
- 57:16Speaker 1: getting paid a wage that's livable, then then you might
- 57:19Speaker 1: change the whole standard. But right now you're saying, well,
- 57:21Speaker 1: they shouldn't have taken that job. No, they go somewhere else,
- 57:23Speaker 1: but they no where are they gonna go? I mean,
- 57:26Speaker 1: just where the tips are a lot more. I have
- 57:29Speaker 1: no idea that is Peris though, that you're missing. That
- 57:31Speaker 1: is Peri's. It's an expensive place. That's where you go
- 57:34Speaker 1: if you want high tips. Right, you're saying not to
- 57:36Speaker 1: be a server in general, is what you're saying.
- 57:38Speaker 7: I'm just saying because like, think about it, like six
- 57:41Speaker 7: hundred and twelve dollars, what if I worked, What if
- 57:44Speaker 7: that's all I can afford? You know what I'm saying,
- 57:46Speaker 7: Then don't go out to eat like I saved up
- 57:48Speaker 7: to take you out on understand defensive date, and that's
- 57:51Speaker 7: all I wouldn't give her nine dollars.
- 57:53Speaker 1: But when you know I'm coming to there expecting one
- 57:56Speaker 1: hundred and twenty hundred and forty dollars, you do I
- 57:58Speaker 1: like that because you don't go. Don't go and spend
- 58:01Speaker 1: six hundred. If you can't afford one hundred and twenty,
- 58:04Speaker 1: you really have.
- 58:04Speaker 4: To budget in the twenty percent when you go out
- 58:07Speaker 4: and pick a restaurant.
- 58:08Speaker 1: Thank you, that's thank you. That's what I was trying
- 58:10Speaker 1: to say. Eight three three seven eight seven one o
- 58:12Speaker 1: two nine. Or maybe we're doing it wrong. What do
- 58:14Speaker 1: you think? I take it a day mix one or
- 58:16Speaker 1: two point nine Ability Kid Candice Slow Pas producer Poo.
- 58:19Speaker 1: We were talking about hot take. By the way, I'm
- 58:21Speaker 1: about to call somebody for this Jackpop. The groceries are
- 58:23Speaker 1: up to two two hundred and fifty bucks. WHOA, that's huge.
- 58:27Speaker 1: I want to call somebody next. So this is your
- 58:28Speaker 1: chance to win it. I mean over two thousand dollars
- 58:31Speaker 1: in free groceries. So you got a couple minutes to
- 58:33Speaker 1: sign up because if they don't answer now, it'll be
- 58:35Speaker 1: up to twenty five hundred dollars by four o'clock with Zan,
- 58:38Speaker 1: So go to the iHeartRadio app sign up real quick,
- 58:40Speaker 1: find us Mix one or two point nine. You gotta
- 58:43Speaker 1: answer your phone. I won my Mix one O two
- 58:45Speaker 1: point nine. That's how you sign up to you. Just
- 58:47Speaker 1: say that into the talkback Mike. Okay, Now, we were
- 58:50Speaker 1: talking about tipping, and big debate always about tipping, whether
- 58:54Speaker 1: it's twenty percent and whatnot. But this girl put it
- 58:55Speaker 1: in a different way that I've never really heard before.
- 58:57Speaker 1: She tipped nine dollars on an over six hundred dollars tag,
- 59:00Speaker 1: which I don't agree with. It's crazy, but she said
- 59:03Speaker 1: it's the same effort. She was like, this is crazy
- 59:05Speaker 1: because it's the same effort. It's sorry, the food's way more.
- 59:09Speaker 1: It's the same plates, same amount of plates, the same effort,
- 59:13Speaker 1: the same drink refills. Everything's the same. And she doesn't
- 59:15Speaker 1: agree with the fact that just because a restaurant is more,
- 59:19Speaker 1: that you should pay more. She doesn't agree with the percentage. Yeah,
- 59:22Speaker 1: but I'm like, I mean, really to.
- 59:23Speaker 2: Your point, but nine dollars.
- 59:25Speaker 1: Is way too low. Yeah, way too low. But you
- 59:28Speaker 1: know producer Poot notoriously yeah, known for just not tipping
- 59:32Speaker 1: very well. You tip, I tip just not well, not no,
- 59:38Speaker 1: I try to, but well, yeah, you also try to
- 59:41Speaker 1: do a lot of stuff. Kathy wanted to say something, Kathy,
- 59:46Speaker 1: what do you think any good money?
- 59:48Speaker 10: I think you're absolutely right. But from a financial standpoint,
- 59:51Speaker 10: that is why the real estate agent change their harbottle,
- 59:55Speaker 10: because the same thing, whether they sell one hundred thousand
- 59:58Speaker 10: dollars house or a million dollar house, why did they get.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: That much more?
- 1:00:00Speaker 10: Okay, percent for four But the other catch from the
- 1:00:05Speaker 10: financial standpoint, but we will not go to dinner if
- 1:00:07Speaker 10: we can't tip twenty percent. So one hundred percent agree
- 1:00:10Speaker 10: with you. It's not the service fault.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: You're right.
- 1:00:13Speaker 5: So in real estate, so you get what is it
- 1:00:15Speaker 5: five percent commission?
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: You said usually about sixty percent. Okay, you're right, whether it's.
- 1:00:19Speaker 10: One hundred thousand dollars house or a million dollar house,
- 1:00:22Speaker 10: you're getting six percent. So why the real estate people
- 1:00:24Speaker 10: they are not doing any extra work.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: That's true, that's true, But I mean I guess it's
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: is it a different level of service when you're selling
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: a three million dollar home rather than a fifty thousand,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: you know, one hundred and fifty thousand dollars house.
- 1:00:35Speaker 10: Maybe a little bit, but I don't think it's the percentage.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Why, Yeah, that's a.
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: Good point from service because they know they're gonna make
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: a lot more money.
- 1:00:42Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: I'm like, hey, I'm doing what I gotta do. Yeah,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: you're gonna get Cavia at that open house, right, all right,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: good point, Katy. Well thank you, Kathy. But I agree
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: you got to you gotta budget in the tip. But
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: we appreciate you calling. Thank you so much. Take you.
- 1:00:55Speaker 10: I have a great day.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: Buye you too, Okay? Debor Deborah and Denon what's up? Deborah?
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: Not much DeBras tip though they tipped On't DeBras tip?
- 1:01:04Speaker 9: Oh yeah, yeah I do. I tip at least twenty
- 1:01:06Speaker 9: percent unless the guy or girl is awful. If they're awful,
- 1:01:11Speaker 9: I tend to tip down to like fifteen, But if
- 1:01:15Speaker 9: they're good, I normally tip twenty to twenty five percent.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: That's my gauge too. That's funny you say that, because
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: even if they're a bad server, I still tip them fifteen.
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: Yeah you do.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I know.
- 1:01:25Speaker 5: Some people just won't tip, and I'm like, I still
- 1:01:27Speaker 5: feel too bad.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: I'm a tibble.
- 1:01:30Speaker 9: With the girl and she tipped. She tipped like less
- 1:01:34Speaker 9: than a dollar on both of our tabs, and I
- 1:01:38Speaker 9: was like, that's not right. So I snuck up when
- 1:01:40Speaker 9: she was leaving. I went back and I threw more
- 1:01:43Speaker 9: on the table.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: Good for you.
- 1:01:45Speaker 6: Good.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: That's why I would like if Pood pays the tab
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: like you know every ten years, he really goes behind.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: I still got to check it what he left for
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: the tip, because I'm like, don't I'm not. I come
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: here all the time. Don't make me look bad. Been
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: ten percent? Yeah, really always goes behind. I might just
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: start calling him ten percent Pooh.
- 1:02:09Speaker 6: Stories on the tens with Billy the Kid in the
- 1:02:11Speaker 6: morning only on the New Mix one O two point nine.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: Well, Michelle, that was meant for her. I feel like
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: it was too. You're right, it all happens for a reason.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: We're still giving away free groceries and we'll call somebody
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: else at four o'clock. Okay, so if you want to
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: go sign up, do it now. iHeartRadio makes one or
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: two point nine. Hit that talk back Mike and say
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: I want my Mix one or two point nine. I'm
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: so happy for Michelle. All right, Cannis, what's going on?
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: Well?
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: Post Malone, we'll headline the closing ceremony for the World
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: Cup this Sunday at New York, New Jersey, stadium. It
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: starts at one point thirty pm that celebrates the World
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: Cup wrapping up. This is the perfect announcement for me,
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: a huge fan Posty and Justin Bieber in the same
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: whole you know broadcast.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: It's gonna be a great show, don't forget she care
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: well Yeah and Kira Madonna and yeah, well the other Yeah.
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: I've said the list so many times this week.
- 1:02:59Speaker 4: I thought I'm probably going to talk about this again
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: for a while, and then they announced post below.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: And here I am.
- 1:03:04Speaker 5: I know, I'm just kind of sad the World Cup's
- 1:03:06Speaker 5: going away.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: This is like the first time I've ever in my
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: life gotten into soccer and football I'm calling it soccer.
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: I watched so much soccer. I'd never watched a full
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: soccer game match in my.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: Life me either until not.
- 1:03:18Speaker 5: I just figured it out, like what stoppage time means.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm just now learning all of the rules. I
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: think maybe I did go to a Dallas sidekicks game
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: back in the.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: Day and eight yeah, oh yeah, No. I like FC
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: Dallas and I like going him. I just don't know
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: what's going on right, I'm just watching, like, oh cool,
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: go FC Dallas. Yeah, I just don't know what's going on,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: but I think it's cool too, this plot that's happening
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: in between the players, some of the players on in
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: the finals, because if you don't know, it's Spain versus Argentina.
- 1:03:44Speaker 5: The crazy part is is one of the players on Spain.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: He's young. Lamin Yamal is his name, And thank you
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: to Ricardo and Caleb who told me who it was.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: If you go back twenty years, Messi, who plays for Argentina,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: is in a commercial with him and he's a baby.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Messi is bathing him as a baby. That's crazy for
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: this commercial. It's so random, and now they're going to
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: be playing against each other in the World Cup finals. Wow,
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: is that weird?
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: It's really weird.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: How does that happen? Yeah, where you were a baby
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: with him in a commercial and now you're playing against
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: him in the biggest stage.
- 1:04:17Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: Well it's that bathwater about Yeah, the vibes you're good
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: water or something.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: Yeah, it was like a UNISEF commercial. Really just strange. Yeah,
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: it's going down like this either way.
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: Very cool, Yeah, very cool, guys.
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: I should have known this was going to happen when
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: I already saw a spirit Halloween store setting up last weekend,
- 1:04:34Speaker 4: but you can now buy Home Depots a famous Halloween collection,
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: including their updated twelve foot Skelley, eleven foot Mummy, and
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: then this three piece animated Gremlin.
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: Set that they have among other things.
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: Oh yeah, it's already available online, not quite in stores
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: just yet, but they're expecting these Skellies to sell out
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: because they're now updating them every year with new features.
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: So yeah, if you need a twelve foot Skelley, you
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: better go quick.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: I think I'm going to decorate mine this year and
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: have as like a DJ and my friend. Yes, that'd
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: be good, like put some turntables in front of Yeah,
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: would it be fun?
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: Do it early though, because last year I think it
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: was like October twenty eighth and you were like, I
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: still haven't decorated.
- 1:05:10Speaker 5: Oh, Candace, Yeah, shots fired.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: I mean I'm just saying because he was missing an arm.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: No no, no, we got to know. At Home sent
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: me one. Yeah, that's why I go to at Home.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: They sent me a whole twelve foot skeleton because they're awesome. Yeah,
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: so I had to put it up. Yeah, well of course,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: but nobody would help me, so I had to do
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: it alone.
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: But here you go, wouldn't you wanted October first?
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: Totally that help? And he was like, yeah, well because
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: you wanted like dinner snacks. And I'm like, okay, well
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: you can't feed your boy. If I'm coming over there
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: to stand up some skeleton, I don't have Candace help me.
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: Okay, real quick, guys, HGTV just announced a new renovation
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: competition series called Totally Nineties House and then bring it
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: back some of our favorite TV stars from the nineties,
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: So Jalil White, you know, or Cole, Steve Berkele he's
- 1:05:56Speaker 4: going to host the show. Melissa Joan Hart will be
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: a part of it, Jody Sweet, Matthew Lawrence, Beverly Mitchell.
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: There's a whole list of these nineties celebs are going
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: to be a part of this.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: Cool.
- 1:06:06Speaker 4: They're basically transforming a home that's stuck in the nineties.
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: It premieres August twenty six, So if you're into those
- 1:06:12Speaker 4: home renovation shows like I am, this gonna be a
- 1:06:14Speaker 4: fun one.
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: For sure.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: We check that out. I thought it was gonna be
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: a makeover to the nineties. I did too, because the
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: nineties are kind of coming back. Yeah, I'm like, do
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: we really want you know, teal carpet and no wood.
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: Paneling, no like like jeans, I'll take but teal carpet.
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: No right, I'm Cannaslopez. Those are your Texas top stories.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: Get it off your chest to promise you'll feel better.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: Welcome to the Dirty Little Secret mixed one of two
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: point nine. Let's do it. It's failing the kid candases here,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: So it's Pooh and your secrets today three to three, seven,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: eight seven, one oh two nine. If you have one.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: It's a no judgment zone for the most part. We
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: might say our opinions and you know whatever, but we'll try.
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: We're going to talk it through.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: You gotta stay open minded when it comes to these steps, right,
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: So get it off your chest and you got one.
- 1:07:01Speaker 6: Well, my husband and I went to a huge Work
- 1:07:03Speaker 6: of July party with our group of friends, and we've
- 1:07:07Speaker 6: all known each other since college, and we're talking about
- 1:07:10Speaker 6: a big party. There were maybe sixty seventy people there. Well,
- 1:07:14Speaker 6: at one point, my husband was inside and I was
- 1:07:18Speaker 6: just sitting by the fire when my friend's husband came
- 1:07:21Speaker 6: over and sat down next to me, which seemed normal, right.
- 1:07:26Speaker 6: I've known him forever, he's been married for years. He's
- 1:07:29Speaker 6: one of those guys you would never ever expect to
- 1:07:33Speaker 6: cross a line.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: Oh god.
- 1:07:36Speaker 6: Yeah, he wasn't stumbling around drunk either. So he sits
- 1:07:39Speaker 6: down next to me, like flops himself down, and he
- 1:07:41Speaker 6: looked at me and said, I know this is coming
- 1:07:45Speaker 6: out of nowhere, but I feel like I got to
- 1:07:47Speaker 6: say it. I've always been in love with you.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: What He's always been in love with you?
- 1:07:57Speaker 6: In love? I thought he was joking. I really did,
- 1:08:01Speaker 6: But how do.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: You know he wasn't. He wasn't for sure, he wasn't
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: and he wasn't drunk. So he's just coming out of
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: nowhere and saying this, Yeah, just just what I mean.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: I was flabb or, like, what do you even say?
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: How do you react when this happens? I don't know
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: what I would do.
- 1:08:17Speaker 6: My words just got caught in my throat, but he continued,
- 1:08:23Speaker 6: so I didn't have to say anything yet. He told
- 1:08:25Speaker 6: me that he'd always felt this like special connection and
- 1:08:30Speaker 6: that sometimes he wonders if he married the wrong woman.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: Oh god, that you two never had anything like any
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: kind of weird things beforehand or in the past. It's
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: because you said you've known each.
- 1:08:43Speaker 6: Other not at all. That's the crazy part. There was
- 1:08:47Speaker 6: never some secret romance or almost relationship. We've just known
- 1:08:52Speaker 6: each other forever. Yeah, and we're all in the same
- 1:08:55Speaker 6: friend group period.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: That's it, right.
- 1:08:57Speaker 6: So I keep replaying this moment because I wish I
- 1:09:00Speaker 6: had shut it down immediately. I wish i'd said stop.
- 1:09:05Speaker 9: Don't say that. Instead.
- 1:09:06Speaker 6: All I could get out was I don't know what
- 1:09:08Speaker 6: to say.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: So you said, so, you said, I don't So you
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: told him after he says this, you say, I don't
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: know what to say, you know, because.
- 1:09:18Speaker 6: It was just so shocking, you know what I'm saying,
- 1:09:20Speaker 6: Like you either have a lot to say or nothing.
- 1:09:24Speaker 6: It's like fight or flight, you know, And I just
- 1:09:26Speaker 6: froze instead.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: I get that, I get it you kind of shut
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: down in the moment in shock. But I don't know
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: what you do after this. This never happened to me.
- 1:09:35Speaker 6: No, That's what I feel guilty about because I walked
- 1:09:38Speaker 6: back inside because I didn't say anything, you know, not
- 1:09:41Speaker 6: because I encouraged him. I absolutely didn't. But the hardest
- 1:09:45Speaker 6: part to admit is I do understand what he meant.
- 1:09:51Speaker 6: What do you I mean? I love my husband with
- 1:09:54Speaker 6: everything I have, like I would never do anything to
- 1:09:57Speaker 6: jeopardize my marriage. But over the past few years him
- 1:10:00Speaker 6: and I have become closer friends. And I'm one of
- 1:10:04Speaker 6: the only people that knows his wife had an affair
- 1:10:07Speaker 6: with a coworker a while back. Oh yeah, they went
- 1:10:14Speaker 6: to counseling and they stayed together ever since that happened.
- 1:10:18Speaker 6: You know, I've never noticed him, but I noticed it
- 1:10:20Speaker 6: on my end. He's looked at me just a little
- 1:10:23Speaker 6: bit differently, and he's treated me a little bit differently.
- 1:10:27Speaker 6: I always thought he was an incredible husband, a great dad,
- 1:10:30Speaker 6: and just an all around good guy. Y'all. I'd be
- 1:10:34Speaker 6: lying if I said I didn't feel that connection to
- 1:10:38Speaker 6: not enough you. Yes, I do, but but let me
- 1:10:42Speaker 6: not in a romantic way, just something that was different,
- 1:10:46Speaker 6: something so I didn't. I wasn't even sure he knew,
- 1:10:50Speaker 6: you know. So that's why this scares me.
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: Have you told your husband?
- 1:10:55Speaker 6: No, No, y'all, just you. I haven't told any of
- 1:11:01Speaker 6: my friends.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: Has he followed up as he texts you, called you,
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: pulled you aside again, or it's nothing. It's been just
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: ever since then, there's been no contact.
- 1:11:09Speaker 6: Well, I haven't really reached he hasn't reached out. We
- 1:11:12Speaker 6: haven't really talk.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: This is kind of what happens though, when you open
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: yourself up emotionally to anybody who's vulnerable. And I'm not
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: saying you did anything wrong because you know, especially if
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: your husband's aware that he was cheated on and he
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: knows the situation, then it feels like, well, we're just
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: being good friends.
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: You can't help me in shocked by that.
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: Yeah, but that would, but you got to tell your husband.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: There's I just don't see a way around it. If
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: I found out that, you know, my girlfriend or wife,
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: that one of my friends went to her and said this,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: I would be so devastated if she didn't tell me.
- 1:11:44Speaker 6: Yeah, but like I said, I would do nothing to
- 1:11:47Speaker 6: jeopardize in my relation.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: I know, and I'm not saying you would, but it
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: is kind of I would be nervous if you were.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: If you were my wife and you told me. I mean,
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: I do notice that we did have a connection of
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: some sort of not romantic way.
- 1:11:58Speaker 7: I don't like that. I can't tell me, what do
- 1:12:02Speaker 7: you mean a connection? We definitely ain't going to the
- 1:12:05Speaker 7: Labor Day party, right.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Well, you've got to let us know what happens and
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: if anything else does go down and let us know.
- 1:12:15Speaker 6: Yeah, thank you. I will thank you guys so much.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: Of course. I just feel like there's got to be
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: some sort of something going on, if there's a connection.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: But maybe I'm wrong, but see, I do feel and
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: I got a lot of hate for saying this from men,
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: but I do feel like when a guy cheats it's
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: different because when a guy cheats or gets cheated on,
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: I mean like, if the guy gets cheated on, he
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: feels like then he's got a free pass to go cheat.
- 1:12:38Speaker 6: Well.
- 1:12:38Speaker 5: I don't feel like.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: It's like that with women. No. You know, if a
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: guy cheat, she's devastating, right, she's devastated, but she's not like,
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: well now I get to hook up. No, not all women, Yeah,
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: I mean women who's looking at me all fine, not
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: all women. But I know some women out there who
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: do that.
- 1:13:00Speaker 7: Well, I know Candas Scandalous like I thought you said, Candace, No, no, Candace.
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: I'm mindless.
