- 0:47Sean McAllister: Yeah, and we appreciate you letting us have a week off.
- 0:51Dayna Roselli: Right, and we didn't even have this planned.
- 0:53Dayna Roselli: I was just thinking, as I was saying, that we were named number one travel podcast of the month by Good Pods, so thank you everyone for listening.
- 1:01Sean McAllister: Yes, and thank you to Good Pods for letting us know that everyone has been listening and gave us that ranking.
- 1:07Sean McAllister: We appreciate each and every one of you.
- 1:10Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and we also appreciate Hot Works Infrared Fitness Studio, one of our sponsors.
- 1:14Dayna Roselli: It is December.
- 1:15Dayna Roselli: We know you're going to be eating, drinking, maybe not exercising as much as you should be.
- 1:20Dayna Roselli: Well, keep going to Hot Works.
- 1:22Dayna Roselli: We're going to have some information about that coming up, and we always have the locations that waived that $99 fee in our show notes.
- 1:29Sean McAllister: Also thank you to the Vegas Near Me app.
- 1:32Sean McAllister: In times like this in Las Vegas, when there are new resort openings, when there are huge events happening nonstop, you need the Vegas Near Me app to keep you up to date on everything that's going on.
- 1:45Sean McAllister: That can help you navigate the city, book all of your activities, Just like you might need to do with the National Finals Rodeo in town.
- 1:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean it's such a long stretch and people come in for a long period of time and sometimes you're looking for that specific thing, right.
- 2:00Dayna Roselli: I mean we love that people come here for like 10 days and celebrate everything Rodeo.
- 2:05Dayna Roselli: It's going to be going on until December 16th, so welcome everyone.
- 2:09Dayna Roselli: It's over at the Thomas and Mack the actual Rodeo.
- 2:11Dayna Roselli: But, sean Cowboy, christmas is a great event that happens every year and we like to remind people free admission over at the convention center and they have like arts and crafts and gifts and I mean everything A peril, I mean everything.
- 2:25Dayna Roselli: Everything and they have like live activations, and so it's really great.
- 2:29Dayna Roselli: It's open daily, 9 am to 4 pm and again that goes until the 16th, every single day as well, and it is in the Central Hall and South Halls, level 1 and 2, if you want to go over to Cowboy Christmas.
- 2:42Sean McAllister: Also, there are a ton of country music acts who are going to be in town playing from December 7th through the 16th to entertain all of the fans who are here for National Finals Rodeo.
- 2:56Sean McAllister: Once the Rodeo action is done, you want to go to a concert, have a good time.
- 3:00Sean McAllister: That's why you need the Vegas Near Me app, because they have everything listed in there so you can plan your extracurricular activities around the Rodeo as well.
- 3:09Sean McAllister: But we did want to say a big greeting to all the Cowboys and Cowgirls who are here in Las Vegas.
- 3:16Dayna Roselli: Yeah, in the place you want to go for everything, nfr is nfrexperiencecom.
- 3:20Dayna Roselli: That has everything you need to know if you're coming into town, so check that out as well.
- 3:26Sean McAllister: And there are some accolades that we want to recognize for some of the entertainment venues here in Las Vegas, and these are some of our favorites.
- 3:34Dayna Roselli: I know and listen.
- 3:35Dayna Roselli: We are the entertainment capital of the world, so we love that.
- 3:38Dayna Roselli: We always become number one in all these categories.
- 3:41Dayna Roselli: But this year, encore Theater at Win, las Vegas, named number one on Billboard's 2023 top grossing venues in the world.
- 3:50Dayna Roselli: Now, this is for the category of under the 2,500 capacity, and so number one.
- 3:56Dayna Roselli: And then they were actually ranked number nine in the under 5,000 capacity, so still really good.
- 4:02Sean McAllister: Yeah, among the top 10 there, but ranking number one in that category of under 5,000 capacity is the Resorts World Theater.
- 4:10Sean McAllister: That's the home of Carrie Underwood, luke Bryan.
- 4:13Sean McAllister: That's number one on the highest grossing theaters under 5,000 capacity, which is a huge deal.
- 4:20Dayna Roselli: Huge deal, especially because it's fairly new.
- 4:21Dayna Roselli: But we always say when we go in there, I love that theater.
- 4:24Sean McAllister: It is nice.
- 4:24Dayna Roselli: I really do like it.
- 4:25Dayna Roselli: I think it's at a good tilt.
- 4:27Dayna Roselli: I think it goes around.
- 4:28Dayna Roselli: It's just nice.
- 4:29Dayna Roselli: The lobby's great, all of it.
- 4:31Sean McAllister: Well, I was going to say I've never had a problem getting in or out of that theater.
- 4:36Sean McAllister: There's never a long line where you're.
- 4:38Sean McAllister: That's like snaking back through the casino, where we've seen for some other theaters on the Las Vegas Strip.
- 4:45Sean McAllister: When they planned that out, they planned it out really, really well they did.
- 4:49Dayna Roselli: And we just saw Katy Perry there again before she or before her final show and we were just saying we love that.
- 4:54Dayna Roselli: I saw Kevin Hart do some comedy in there.
- 4:56Dayna Roselli: We've been, like you said, to Luke Bryan, you've been to Carrie Underwood.
- 4:59Dayna Roselli: So great theater and congratulations to both of those theaters over at the win and resorts world.
- 5:05Sean McAllister: Well, we also have a new luxury casino that just opened off the Las Vegas strip.
- 5:09Sean McAllister: We've been talking about it, really, since March of 2022.
- 5:13Sean McAllister: It's the Durango Resort in the southwest part of Las Vegas.
- 5:17Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it opened on December 5th, with opening at 10 am, fireworks at 9 o'clock, and what a spectacular opening.
- 5:25Dayna Roselli: I know the local community is really excited about it, but I also think from looking at it when we went inside I'm like you know, our visitors to Las Vegas I think a lot of people are going to come here and stay there.
- 5:36Sean McAllister: I think so too.
- 5:36Sean McAllister: It has a really boutique kind of feel.
- 5:39Sean McAllister: It's not a massive hotel property at all, but it's really really nice and classy.
- 5:48Sean McAllister: But it's very welcoming at the same time.
- 5:51Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and we love that.
- 5:51Dayna Roselli: It was bright and cheery, and a lot of casinos are really really dark it's kind of the theme so that you don't know what time of day it is and you just keep gambling.
- 5:58Dayna Roselli: But Durango did something different.
- 6:00Dayna Roselli: It's bright, it's cheery, there's natural light in there.
- 6:02Dayna Roselli: I really liked that.
- 6:04Dayna Roselli: But it also had just a very luxurious feel and we thought that was interesting, and so we had a chance to actually chat with Dave Horn, who's the vice president and general manager of Durango Casino and Resort, and we asked him like do you think there was a need for a luxury resort off the Strip and do you think maybe all the Californians that either visit here or have moved here are kind of wanting that too?
- 6:30Dave Horn, Durango Casino: Yes, and I say that only because I think when you look at some of the Strip chefs, so to speak, that were, you know, zek chefs or some of those room chefs that they had on the Strip, that chose to find their own ways on the Sommelin South or Sommelin South area, this Rose Ranch area even, they came out and branched out and started their own restaurants, you know, and those were places that were typically only located on the Strip.
- 6:52Dave Horn, Durango Casino: This community as it's developed in Sommelin, there's a demand for those kind of luxury, high-end restaurants.
- 6:56Dave Horn, Durango Casino: And then I think, from a casino standpoint, red Rock's a perfect example of that success.
- 7:01Dave Horn, Durango Casino: So we carry that out to where this population is kind of booming at, try and keep that tradition going or that style going.
- 7:08Dave Horn, Durango Casino: And to your point about the California side of things, I came from California in 1994, and I think that's been a steady state for the last 30 years, obviously.
- 7:15Dave Horn, Durango Casino: But we incorporated some of the partners we had as names that were synonymous with Southern California, knowing that that could be part of the equation to help us, you know, maybe be a little more successful.
- 7:26Dayna Roselli: So an interesting take there.
- 7:27Dayna Roselli: It's a beautiful property.
- 7:29Dayna Roselli: We love the lobby.
- 7:29Dayna Roselli: You were saying you love the furniture.
- 7:31Dayna Roselli: You felt it was really quality.
- 7:33Sean McAllister: It was quality and it was furniture that I could lift right out of the casino and put right into my living room.
- 7:39Sean McAllister: So that's like the homey kind of welcoming feel that I was talking about, and you get that across the property, whether you're in a bar and lounge or the lobby or the hotel rooms.
- 7:50Sean McAllister: It really is just a very inviting space everywhere.
- 7:55Dayna Roselli: I know it was luxurious too, though it felt elevated, it did.
- 7:59Dayna Roselli: It really did.
- 8:00Dayna Roselli: One of the things that I really loved was the Nico's Steakhouse.
- 8:04Dayna Roselli: Just the inside was stunning.
- 8:06Dayna Roselli: I thought it was beautiful with the fire and the inside outside, and then you can open up to that patio.
- 8:12Dayna Roselli: It was gorgeous.
- 8:13Dayna Roselli: I know we need to go eat there.
- 8:15Dayna Roselli: We went over and tried one of the cookies at Summer House, which is joining us from Santa Monica, so we're excited to have them.
- 8:23Dayna Roselli: We went up and looked at the rooms and you and I were saying, man, these are some nice rooms.
- 8:28Sean McAllister: They are yeah, and instead of an iron they have steamers.
- 8:32Dayna Roselli: I love that.
- 8:33Sean McAllister: And Dana was like oh man, I've been living off of steamers for a long time now it's about time you have them in a hotel.
- 8:40Dayna Roselli: Seriously that and they have the makeup towel was black.
- 8:43Dayna Roselli: So for women to wash their makeup off or men to wash your makeup off, you always get that white towel and you feel like guilty, like this thing is going to be loaded with makeup.
- 8:53Dayna Roselli: They have a black makeup towel in there, so it's like the little touches like that that they really looked for.
- 8:59Dayna Roselli: I love that the casino floor has more than 2000 slots, more than 60 table games some really cool ones too that we spotted.
- 9:07Dayna Roselli: There was an awesome craps table.
- 9:09Dayna Roselli: They had a little private salon too for private Table games, right some of the high roller roller high rollers.
- 9:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah, in there there was TVs and couches, and they have a food hall, which we've talked about in the past.
- 9:21Dayna Roselli: Just some really cool places.
- 9:23Dayna Roselli: We did like the speakeasy too.
- 9:25Dayna Roselli: That was inside the restaurant.
- 9:28Dayna Roselli: They're the Mexican restaurant inside miho.
- 9:30Sean McAllister: Yeah and it's called wax rabbit and they call it that because the DJ booth that they have inside the speakeasy.
- 9:37Sean McAllister: They only play Vinyl records.
- 9:40Dayna Roselli: Oh, that's right, I forgot we pulled someone over and talked to them.
- 9:43Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 9:44Dayna Roselli: Let's, let's play that.
- 9:45Sean McAllister: We loved when Las Vegas had ultra lounges everywhere and they went away.
- 9:51Sean McAllister: Exactly, I have a lot of blurry memories of taboo, but I mean, this kind of has that ultra lounge vibe.
- 9:58Sean McAllister: Is that what you were going for?
- 10:00Speaker 4: Um, Comparable, very similar, I'd say it was slightly more approachable.
- 10:04Speaker 4: I was thinking very cool, kind of high-end chic posh bar feel, but approachable to locals but definitely along the lines of an ultra lounge.
- 10:11Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it is really cool.
- 10:12Dayna Roselli: We were talking about the music.
- 10:13Dayna Roselli: You were saying, you know it's gonna be a little bit of everything and not EDM, which for us folks that Sean and.
- 10:20Dayna Roselli: I in our 40s.
- 10:20Dayna Roselli: We always look for a place to lounge that doesn't have EDM music.
- 10:24Dayna Roselli: Hate to be mean, but that's just our preference couldn't agree with you anymore.
- 10:27Speaker 4: And you're speaking to a man as a huge fan of Prince.
- 10:29Speaker 4: So, as you can hear by the symbol here, so as that, as Prince music is, this can be a great variety in there.
- 10:36Speaker 4: So everything from classic hip-hop, some pop mixed in, but with vinyl, with vinyl.
- 10:42Speaker 4: With that being said, you can't get everything on vinyl.
- 10:44Speaker 4: So this can be focused.
- 10:44Speaker 4: 80s, 90s and 2000s kind of give us that throwback, nostalgic feel.
- 10:48Sean McAllister: We can't wait to come and sit down and have some cocktails at wax rabbit.
- 10:52Sean McAllister: We can't wait to have you and that was Keith Urie who was the vice president of click hospitality.
- 10:57Sean McAllister: That runs Miho and wax rabbit and I just love the entire Ear Vibe that that speakeasy brings.
- 11:05Sean McAllister: I mean, first of all, the restaurant itself is beautiful, just like every other part of the property, but that lounge really does have that kind of ultra lounge vibe.
- 11:17Dayna Roselli: It definitely, and it's smaller, which he was saying.
- 11:20Dayna Roselli: You know, that's the perk it's intimate and so it's gonna be the place to be.
- 11:24Dayna Roselli: I think also had someone write us today saying they went to Miho Yesterday and they loved their meal, that they were smiling the whole time.
- 11:31Dayna Roselli: They thought the service was great, they thought the food was great.
- 11:34Dayna Roselli: I think they said they had shrimp fajitas, and so it sounds like they're off to a good start.
- 11:38Sean McAllister: Well, and they do have a tomahawk steak at Miho that they say is the largest steak in Las Vegas between 55 and 60 ounces.
- 11:47Sean McAllister: $180 can feed Three to four people and they say that makes it probably one of the best steak values in Las Vegas as well.
- 11:57Dayna Roselli: Interesting.
- 11:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I do remember him talking about that.
- 12:00Dayna Roselli: Um, we saw the pool.
- 12:02Dayna Roselli: It was beautiful, Luxurious.
- 12:04Dayna Roselli: Luxurious but inviting.
- 12:06Dayna Roselli: I felt like cozy as well to beautiful pool out there and they have a space for events.
- 12:11Dayna Roselli: There's so much to go through.
- 12:12Dayna Roselli: Go to our social media.
- 12:13Dayna Roselli: We put up some videos if you visually, and you've seen some if you're watching our video podcast.
- 12:17Dayna Roselli: But if you want to see more, you can go to our Instagram.
- 12:20Dayna Roselli: We have posted, and also this YouTube as well.
- 12:23Dayna Roselli: If you're watching on YouTube, we've posted a couple of those videos there and, by the way, we do want to mention.
- 12:28Sean McAllister: You know, parking is one thing that people always ask about.
- 12:31Sean McAllister: Parking and valet are both Free at the Durango resort and casino that is a perk.
- 12:38Dayna Roselli: It's a huge perk, it's everything that'll draw you in, I mean listen, you can pull up in that loop, pick up your coffee and valet, so that'll be good.
- 12:47Dayna Roselli: We have a whole like list of statistics and stuff.
- 12:50Dayna Roselli: If there's anything you specifically want to know about Durango, shoot us a note.
- 12:53Dayna Roselli: Ideas at Vegas revealed calm and let us know and we'll.
- 12:56Dayna Roselli: We'll get you an answer.
- 12:58Sean McAllister: And if a new resort isn't enough to look forward to in Las Vegas, the countdown is really hardcore on for Super Bowl 58 here in Las Vegas, february 11th at Allegiant Stadium, and we just had the good fortune of having brunch with NFL Commissioner Roger Goddell.
- 13:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah, the big kickoff brunch.
- 13:17Dayna Roselli: The NFL was in town all week planning for Super Bowl 58.
- 13:20Dayna Roselli: And they are organized.
- 13:22Dayna Roselli: Very, very organized Watching it all go down and I'm like all the information and I'm like, well they are, they are ready.
- 13:29Dayna Roselli: But even Roger Goddell was saying, listen, people are excited about having this Super Bowl in Las Vegas.
- 13:36Dayna Roselli: It kind of kicks it up a notch because we're the entertainment capital of the world.
- 13:39Dayna Roselli: Then you, and then we're like now, what like the greatest arena on earth when it comes to sports.
- 13:44Dayna Roselli: So we've got it all going on.
- 13:45Sean McAllister: Well, in multiple times during this brunch there were there were a bunch of speakers across the the sports world, but it was said many, many times that they are planning on this being the biggest Super Bowl ever.
- 14:01Dayna Roselli: Makes sense.
- 14:02Dayna Roselli: That's how we roll.
- 14:03Dayna Roselli: It's that is it's Vegas right.
- 14:06Sean McAllister: Do we do it any other way?
- 14:08Dayna Roselli: It's just so good.
- 14:09Dayna Roselli: Couple things we actually are excited about is how much they're bringing in the community and how many things there's going to be to do for the community that lives here in Las Vegas and people that come in for the Super Bowl experience.
- 14:22Dayna Roselli: So maybe you aren't going and you can't get a ticket to the Super Bowl, but you want to be here for just the vibe, the experience of all the different attractions we're going to have.
- 14:32Dayna Roselli: It's going to be pretty affordable.
- 14:34Dayna Roselli: I think it's like 25 bucks at the beginning of the week goes a little bit more just to get into the NFL experience, and in there there's going to be tons of different, so much that we'll get into detail at another time.
- 14:45Dayna Roselli: But you know what do you call it Attractions?
- 14:48Sean McAllister: like activations, exhibits, like Super Bowl rings through the years there's going to be autograph sessions, all sorts of stuff there's going to be a lot.
- 14:57Sean McAllister: If you've ever seen or been to any kind of like NFL draft or Super Bowl, like it's a week long party it is.
- 15:05Sean McAllister: And there's like exclusive merchandise in there.
- 15:08Sean McAllister: We'll get into that as it gets closer.
- 15:10Sean McAllister: But you're right, it is very affordable.
- 15:13Dayna Roselli: Yeah and sorry.
- 15:14Dayna Roselli: The whole point I was trying to get to is it's very affordable, but also I loved this, and you and I looked at each other and said, wow, this is good.
- 15:21Dayna Roselli: Kids 12 and under are free.
- 15:23Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 15:24Dayna Roselli: So, like not six and under, not three, and I mean 12 and under you're going to be able to bring your kids for free and they are going to be over the moon.
- 15:31Dayna Roselli: What an experience for that, oh my gosh.
- 15:34Sean McAllister: It looks like it's going to be absolutely amazing.
- 15:38Sean McAllister: In addition to the NFL experience, the Monday of Super Bowl week there is also going to be the Super Bowl opening night.
- 15:47Sean McAllister: This is where both teams, the head coaches, are at Allegiant Stadium and for the first time, this is going to be open to the public and inside the stadium where the Super Bowl is being played.
- 16:02Dayna Roselli: It's a big deal.
- 16:03Dayna Roselli: We have a beautiful brand new stadium and they figure you know what?
- 16:06Dayna Roselli: Let's do it.
- 16:07Dayna Roselli: Listen to this 30 bucks is what it's gonna cost you to get in general admission.
- 16:13Dayna Roselli: You're not gonna get a seat.
- 16:14Dayna Roselli: First come, first serve.
- 16:15Dayna Roselli: You can go in when the doors open at three o'clock and claim your seat, or you can go do your thing and just find a space.
- 16:21Dayna Roselli: We don't know exactly what's gonna happen there yet, but we know there's gonna be live entertainment.
- 16:26Dayna Roselli: Both teams will be there.
- 16:27Dayna Roselli: It's going to be like a big pep rally.
- 16:30Sean McAllister: It is, it is 30 bucks.
- 16:32Sean McAllister: That's it.
- 16:33Sean McAllister: You can't beat that price.
- 16:34Sean McAllister: I mean to get a taste of that Super Bowl experience 30 bucks, it's a no-brainer, yeah the tickets go on sale December 14th Already.
- 16:44Dayna Roselli: We wrote.
- 16:44Dayna Roselli: I wrote that in a tweet and six people have asked me why they can't get the tickets yet.
- 16:47Dayna Roselli: I'm like did you read the tweet?
- 16:48Dayna Roselli: December 14th?
- 16:49Dayna Roselli: Anyway, december 14th and more information will come out at that time, so keep an eye on this.
- 16:56Dayna Roselli: This is what the NFL really wants people to do if they're coming in for the Super Bowl, also if they live here is to download the NFL one pass app.
- 17:06Dayna Roselli: It's free.
- 17:07Dayna Roselli: I've already downloaded it.
- 17:08Dayna Roselli: Really easy.
- 17:08Dayna Roselli: Go on your phone, download it now.
- 17:11Dayna Roselli: All the information will be there.
- 17:12Sean McAllister: Yeah, it has a schedule of events.
- 17:13Sean McAllister: It'll help you get around.
- 17:15Sean McAllister: You can get tickets directly through the app as well.
- 17:18Sean McAllister: Nfl one pass.
- 17:19Sean McAllister: It's in the Apple App Store, google Play get it on your phone.
- 17:23Sean McAllister: It is going to be your guide for everything.
- 17:26Sean McAllister: Super Bowl here in Las Vegas a lot of big things planned.
- 17:29Dayna Roselli: It is gonna be a fun week, you know.
- 17:31Dayna Roselli: I'm not.
- 17:32Dayna Roselli: I'm not telling you to do it, but I might recommend maybe you take a weekday off work and make sure you take advantage of all the fun stuff happening on the strip so yeah, also, we wanted to mention that we are heading to the fountain blue for an inside tour.
- 17:51Dayna Roselli: No cameras allowed, but we're going there and we are gonna actually Record like a little podcast extra that will attach to this podcast on our audio podcast on Spotify and Apple After we see the inside.
- 18:05Dayna Roselli: It opens on December 13th but we figure we're getting in there, we're recording before we go do that tour, so we're gonna do a little add-on.
- 18:12Dayna Roselli: So look for that.
- 18:13Dayna Roselli: I know a lot of people are thrilled about the fountain blue opening because it has literally been under construction for years and years and years.
- 18:19Dayna Roselli: You know, construction halted, it moved, changed hands, it's back.
- 18:23Sean McAllister: So it's a long time coming it is, and we're both excited to get inside for the very first time and See what all the excitement is about.
- 18:32Sean McAllister: We've seen the lights on, we've seen the marquees light up, but now we'll be getting inside and sharing those thoughts with you coming up in our podcast extra Coming up a little later in the week.
- 18:43Sean McAllister: Something else that lights up the Las Vegas sky is the sphere.
- 18:48Sean McAllister: We've talked a lot about that, you've seen a lot of it and you may have already seen images of this, but the sphere is really Kicking literally into the holiday season.
- 18:58Dayna Roselli: It really is.
- 18:59Dayna Roselli: Oh my god, this is so cool.
- 19:00Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 19:00Dayna Roselli: The Rockettes making their first appearance on the MSg sphere.
- 19:05Dayna Roselli: You know, madison Square Garden and the Rockettes and Radio City Music Hall they all go together right, so why not have them on the outside?
- 19:13Dayna Roselli: Listen, the sphere sent us some behind-the-scenes video.
- 19:16Dayna Roselli: If you're watching our video podcast or you just go to our YouTube, we put the whole thing on there and it's really cool how they shot this in a studio and they kind of took I think it was like five at A time and stitch them together to make sure that they could all sync up, because, you know, every leg has to be perfect.
- 19:31Sean McAllister: And it does sink and perfect when it comes to the Rockettes and these Rockettes on the side of the sphere are a hundred feet tall and they're doing their iconic signature kick line.
- 19:41Sean McAllister: I mean, there's no better way to ring in the holiday season.
- 19:46Sean McAllister: So I love that the sphere and MSg are doing that for us here in Las Vegas.
- 19:51Dayna Roselli: That's daily, every day through the holiday, and I think I talked about this on our K-Cal segment I know we've mentioned it many times, but I haven't said this to our listeners is that when I, when I actually got back from Thanksgiving, our taxi my taxi driver, I should say was Telling me that people are coming in that he's talking to just to see the outside of the sphere it is now like its own destination point not even to go to a show inside.
- 20:14Dayna Roselli: No, they're just here to see it, so I thought I said they're here to he goes.
- 20:18Dayna Roselli: Oh yeah, he goes.
- 20:18Dayna Roselli: Like tons of people I pick up from the airport have landed here to see the sphere and decided to come vacation here because of that.
- 20:26Dayna Roselli: So I love it.
- 20:27Sean McAllister: That's pretty incredible.
- 20:28Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it really is.
- 20:29Dayna Roselli: Hey, FYI, fish is coming to the sphere.
- 20:31Dayna Roselli: The next headliner I said the headliner.
- 20:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah, at the sphere, they're doing a bunch of shows in April and apparently they don't ever do what the same show.
- 20:41Dayna Roselli: Okay, so I don't know this fish cult and my friend Justin loves them and he goes to all the shows.
- 20:45Dayna Roselli: I always wondered, but apparently they don't do one show alike and so you have to go to all of them right, yeah, my friend Billy from New York City.
- 20:53Sean McAllister: I went to college with him.
- 20:54Sean McAllister: He's a one of the fish heads to and he was like alright, getting a group together coming to Vegas in April.
- 21:00Sean McAllister: Yeah, and yeah, they're doing.
- 21:02Sean McAllister: All of their shows at the sphere are going to be different, which is kind of impressive given the amount of production that goes into just one show Inside the sphere.
- 21:14Dayna Roselli: Mm-hmm, I know it's just gonna be interesting.
- 21:16Dayna Roselli: I saw the sphere say that they are performing this Slu of shows and this will be there.
- 21:24Dayna Roselli: They're one on that kind of on the calendar in 2024.
- 21:27Dayna Roselli: I feel like they left it open as this is.
- 21:29Dayna Roselli: This is where you're gonna see them in 2024, but they'll probably be back.
- 21:33Dayna Roselli: Yes or something like that.
- 21:34Dayna Roselli: That's how I took it anyway.
- 21:36Sean McAllister: I would not be surprised if there are more dates.
- 21:38Sean McAllister: Yeah that end up being added.
- 21:40Sean McAllister: But yeah, that's the latest headliner that is going to be performing inside the sphere, so that that'll be fun.
- 21:47Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it will be fun and hopefully people will, um, you know, relax and enjoy.
- 21:54Sean McAllister: I'm sure there's going to be a lot of relaxing and enjoying without a doubt I had to put it, but Maybe visit one of the consumption lounges and then go to the show.
- 22:04Dayna Roselli: You know what I'm talking about.
- 22:06Sean McAllister: You know what I'm talking about.
- 22:07Sean McAllister: Let's do tips.
- 22:11Dayna Roselli: All right, it's all about travel in our tips this week, sean, and people seem to really find the travel tips very useful.
- 22:18Dayna Roselli: So I had one that I came across on my recent trip to New York and I thought I don't know if people know this and you know this is on Southwest and I feel like a lot of people take Southwest because the major hub here from Las Vegas.
- 22:31Dayna Roselli: So I just happened to be looking like you know when, like how far we were into our flight and this and that, and I went on to the app said there like track your bags, and I thought I don't know if I've ever seen this before.
- 22:44Dayna Roselli: So I clicked it.
- 22:45Dayna Roselli: So again, if you're watching our video podcast, I'm going to put up some things.
- 22:49Dayna Roselli: I screenshot it right away.
- 22:50Dayna Roselli: I was like, oh, I got to save this for the podcast.
- 22:52Dayna Roselli: But if you go into the area where it's at, it'll say your plane's departed right, because you're in the air.
- 22:57Dayna Roselli: But it says view and manage and then the flight has departed.
- 23:04Dayna Roselli: And then when you click that, it says track check bag.
- 23:08Dayna Roselli: So I clicked it and then it said the whole path of my bag and so I knew it was on my flight.
- 23:14Dayna Roselli: It said bag loaded onto the plane midway November 27th, 9.31 PM.
- 23:22Sean McAllister: That is so cool.
- 23:23Dayna Roselli: And so I felt so comforted knowing that my bag was on the plane and it said like bag tag printed, bag loaded onto the plane, bag loaded, unloaded from the plane, because I did a changeover bag loaded onto the plane.
- 23:35Dayna Roselli: So I thought it was really interesting.
- 23:37Dayna Roselli: Anyway, check it out.
- 23:38Dayna Roselli: If you're one of those people who really is like nervous, like I checked a bag when I land, is it going to be a disaster?
- 23:43Dayna Roselli: Is it not going to be there?
- 23:44Dayna Roselli: This is also on top of an air tag.
- 23:46Dayna Roselli: Another way if you're on a Southwest flight, go into the app and check your flight.
- 23:51Dayna Roselli: It will say it's departed, click view and then track your bags and it comes up and if you don't see that it was loaded onto the plane, well then, you're in a bad mood for the rest of the flight.
- 24:02Sean McAllister: Then you hit your call button and tell the flight attendant.
- 24:05Dayna Roselli: Turn around.
- 24:07Sean McAllister: Well, not turn around, but let your people know that there's some work that needs to be done to get my bag to me Right Start that process ASAP.
- 24:16Dayna Roselli: All right, we have another travel tip, and this came from one of our listeners.
- 24:19Sean McAllister: Yeah, this came from Kevin McClure, who's not only a listener but a subscriber.
- 24:22Sean McAllister: So, Kevin, thank you so much.
- 24:24Sean McAllister: We appreciate you listening and subscribing and helping to keep Vegas revealed alive.
- 24:31Dayna Roselli: And when our subscribers send us a tip, we're definitely using it, they have preference and priority and VIP status.
- 24:37Sean McAllister: Without a doubt and actually I love that Kevin sent this tip because it's actually a tip that I personally use as well he said you know, what makes traveling so much easier is when you pack using travel cubes.
- 24:53Sean McAllister: And you can actually find them in our Vegas Revealed Amazon shop.
- 24:58Sean McAllister: We have them in our travel essentials.
- 24:59Sean McAllister: These are like those zipper bags that you fold up your clothes, put them in those zipper bags so that your suitcase is really well organized.
- 25:10Sean McAllister: Everything stays in its own little compartment.
- 25:14Sean McAllister: And, like Kevin told us, he was like it's great when you get to your destination because you can just take those cubes out of your luggage, put them into the drawers in your hotel room, just unzip the top and then take your stuff out, so you don't have to completely unpack like you would the drawers in your dresser at home.
- 25:35Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 25:35Sean McAllister: You just take your cube out, drop it in the drawer.
- 25:38Dayna Roselli: You're good to go.
- 25:39Dayna Roselli: I love that.
- 25:39Dayna Roselli: Yeah, he said it just makes it all a lot easier, and he's been doing this for a while, coming in to visit Vegas.
- 25:45Sean McAllister: Yeah, kevin, we're on the same page.
- 25:47Sean McAllister: Love travel cubes.
- 25:48Sean McAllister: I'm glad that you brought this up because that is and it's a huge time saver.
- 25:53Sean McAllister: It's a huge organizational godsend.
- 25:57Sean McAllister: I would venture so far to say it's a godsend.
- 26:00Dayna Roselli: Right, it really is Good to know I'll have to get some.
- 26:02Dayna Roselli: I've never done that before, so now I'm curious.
- 26:04Sean McAllister: You'll love them.
- 26:05Sean McAllister: Once you use them, you don't pack any other way.
- 26:09Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 26:09Dayna Roselli: And also Kevin was telling us about this and I love it.
- 26:13Dayna Roselli: He says the door wedge alarms are a nice piece of mind, that if you bring that along with you just to keep yourself extra safe in your room, or maybe you have some valuables, maybe you do put them in the safe, but you're like you know what, I want a little extra security or while you're sleeping at night.
- 26:30Dayna Roselli: I love this idea.
- 26:31Dayna Roselli: He said the packing cubes and the door wedge alarms are both around $20 on Amazon.
- 26:38Dayna Roselli: So, it's super affordable, and especially if you travel a lot.
- 26:41Dayna Roselli: I love these tips so much I didn't even ever think about this door wedge alarm.
- 26:46Sean McAllister: Yeah, I mean, that's really smart.
- 26:47Sean McAllister: I never thought about that either.
- 26:49Dayna Roselli: Yeah, great idea.
- 26:50Dayna Roselli: So it's a really good idea.
- 26:51Dayna Roselli: Good tips from Kevin.
- 26:52Dayna Roselli: Thank you so much for writing in.
- 26:54Sean McAllister: And if you have any tips Vegas tips, travel tips or otherwise send them to us and they might end up on the podcast.

- 27:06Dayna Roselli: Look for that little extra piece coming soon.
- 27:08Dayna Roselli: There is a lot more to talk about, but we're kind of back and we're flowing and we've been so busy We've had Super Bowl meetings this week, the Durango opening, we're going to the Fountain Blue.
