- 0:01Speaker 1: Jerry Katie and Josh one hundred dot com.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Well, I'm staring up at the TV right now and
- 0:06Speaker 2: they're issuing all sorts of heat warnings again for this
- 0:11Speaker 2: weekend trip. Ditch again, bro, So be careful while you're outside.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 0:17Speaker 2: I know we're gonna be talking about it a little
- 0:18Speaker 2: bit more in the Mile High hype. But I went
- 0:23Speaker 2: out for a workout yesterday.
- 0:24Speaker 3: And the only thing I said to my wife when
- 0:26Speaker 3: I came home was that was.
- 0:28Speaker 2: A bad idea.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I was not so smart move to be out
- 0:32Speaker 1: there in the sun.
- 0:32Speaker 2: We'll talk about that a little bit more during the hype.
- 0:34Speaker 2: But you were out exercising again, too, weren't you.
- 0:36Speaker 1: I did that same thing, and I thought this like
- 0:39Speaker 1: I thought I had heat stroke for a second. And
- 0:41Speaker 1: that's why this story is just hilarious to me. So
- 0:44Speaker 1: when I walk, I walk by a swimming pool, right,
- 0:47Speaker 1: and so there was a bunch of people in the
- 0:49Speaker 1: swimming pool yesterday and I'm like across a little ditch
- 0:54Speaker 1: from it, so I'm quite a few yards away from
- 0:56Speaker 1: the actual swimming pool. But you know how when people
- 0:59Speaker 1: talk on the water and everything, it carries it. So
- 1:01Speaker 1: you can hear people talking even, you know, really far
- 1:05Speaker 1: away as I was when I was walking. So I'm
- 1:08Speaker 1: sitting and I'm walking by the pool, and I'm looking
- 1:11Speaker 1: at these two guys who are sitting on like lawn chairs,
- 1:14Speaker 1: and they're talking to each other and they're looking at
- 1:16Speaker 1: each other and I can hear everything that they're saying.
- 1:20Speaker 1: And I'm sitting there because I'm like again across a
- 1:22Speaker 1: ditch almost by a bridge, so they can't see me,
- 1:27Speaker 1: but I can hear everything that they're saying. But their
- 1:29Speaker 1: conversation is weird because they're like looking at the people
- 1:32Speaker 1: in the pool and the things that they're saying. I'm
- 1:34Speaker 1: like what. So they're like, first they're like, well, that
- 1:37Speaker 1: one needs to be wider, and I was like what,
- 1:40Speaker 1: and they're like stre they're like pointing, and again I
- 1:42Speaker 1: can see all their mannerisms, and then like the next
- 1:45Speaker 1: thing was it's too dry, and like they're pointing at
- 1:47Speaker 1: the people, and I'm like, why do you say these
- 1:50Speaker 1: things about it? So I'm just like completely transfixed about it.
- 1:53Speaker 1: And then they're like the flaking off isn't good? You
- 1:55Speaker 1: see that one flaking off? I'm like, why are they
- 1:57Speaker 1: saying here about these poor people? Like they have no
- 1:59Speaker 1: eye dia. And then and then it got to see
- 2:02Speaker 1: the trunk. That's a good sized trunk. We need the
- 2:05Speaker 1: other trunks to look like that. And I'm like staring,
- 2:09Speaker 1: Actually I know, and I said, and I actually said
- 2:11Speaker 1: out loud, what are they talking about? And then the
- 2:14Speaker 1: voices stopped, but the mannerisms keep going, and I'm like, oh,
- 2:19Speaker 1: that is not And I turn around and there's literally
- 2:21Speaker 1: two people behind me and they're like observing the trees.
- 2:25Speaker 1: They work for the city, and they're actually taking like
- 2:29Speaker 1: they're going around and looking at the trees and they're
- 2:31Speaker 1: saying that this one's trunk isn't wide enough and this
- 2:34Speaker 1: one's too dry, and we need that one's trunk to
- 2:36Speaker 1: look like that person's trunk. But they were like behind me,
- 2:39Speaker 1: and I didn't see them, and I thought behind me,
- 2:42Speaker 1: their voices were like.
- 2:44Speaker 2: It was bouncing like some weird acoustic bounce.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Yes, it was so the dude, and I totally thought
- 2:50Speaker 1: it was the dude's talking about the people in the
- 2:52Speaker 1: pool and their trunks and their dry skin and how
- 2:55Speaker 1: they need to be wider. I just was like it
- 2:58Speaker 1: took me a second to really be like, am I
- 3:01Speaker 1: suffering from heatstroke, because that's.
- 3:03Speaker 2: The only that's a bless your heart moment if I
- 3:05Speaker 2: ever heard of.
- 3:05Speaker 1: That bless your heart moment. And I feel really stupid,
- 3:08Speaker 1: but it made me laugh, like I chuckled all the way.
- 3:11Speaker 2: I had a whole mile left watch. And I think
- 3:14Speaker 2: the best part too, is you like saying stuff to
- 3:17Speaker 2: yourself out loud.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I was.
- 3:18Speaker 2: I don't think I've ever caught myself in the world
- 3:21Speaker 2: you talking about.
- 3:22Speaker 1: You mean, I'm a very expressive person, so I and
- 3:25Speaker 1: I live by myself, so I say things out loud
- 3:27Speaker 1: all the time. But yeah, definitely, yeah, I guess I'm
- 3:33Speaker 1: meaning yeah, could have been a little wider.
- 3:36Speaker 2: One was a little flaky honestly. Well, I guess you're
- 3:39Speaker 2: sating for a Macrhutter sports report. Uh, this is something
- 3:43Speaker 2: I would probably actually sit down and watch. There's a
- 3:47Speaker 2: documentary coming out about the rivalry between Tom Brady and
- 3:51Speaker 2: Peyton Manning. It is in the works, Believe it or not.
- 3:55Speaker 2: It's called Brady Versus Manning.
- 3:58Speaker 1: I can't be Manning versus Brady what so?
- 4:02Speaker 2: The documentary is going to combine exclusive interviews with teammates, coaches, executives, journalists,
- 4:08Speaker 2: and other figures who witnessed the rivalry firsthand with all
- 4:13Speaker 2: sorts of archival footage and detailed storytelling.
- 4:16Speaker 3: So it says this story, I like this, I.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Like it a lot. I do too.
- 4:21Speaker 1: I mean, the rivalry was a lot more intense when
- 4:24Speaker 1: they were younger and he was with Indy.
- 4:26Speaker 2: But it's an iconic rivalry still.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Yeah, for the Bronco for Bronco fans.
- 4:30Speaker 4: Probably the last biggest NFL rivalry too, I would say, yeah, yeah,
- 4:34Speaker 4: two players.
- 4:35Speaker 2: It's going to focus on their seventeen head to head
- 4:38Speaker 2: matchups and the impact that they had on the league.
- 4:40Speaker 2: So I'm for it. That's something I'll sit down and watch.
- 4:44Speaker 2: For all you gamers out there, this is a billion
- 4:47Speaker 2: dollar franchise. I believe the Madden franchise Madden NFL.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Twenty seven is going to be coming out.
- 4:53Speaker 2: But the big story about this is the soundtrack. They
- 4:57Speaker 2: are saying this is going to be one of the
- 4:58Speaker 2: best soundtracks in video game history. Metallica, White Stripes, Sticks, Motorhead, Ozzy,
- 5:06Speaker 2: the who Whoa. The game actually features oh did I
- 5:12Speaker 2: have the number on here? Eighty different tracks. It doesn't
- 5:16Speaker 2: say how many artists, but it's gonna be so popular
- 5:18Speaker 2: and so big they're actually releasing the game soundtrack on
- 5:23Speaker 2: Apple Music and Spotify because they're gonna say it's gonna
- 5:27Speaker 2: be so darn good, that's amazing good. Charlotte's gonna be
- 5:30Speaker 2: on there, White Zombie Incubus, Lenny Kravitz, what white Stripes
- 5:35Speaker 2: Paramore Like, it's this is like my playlist, and they're
- 5:38Speaker 2: gonna be nostalgic.
- 5:41Speaker 3: So're really excited about that.
- 5:42Speaker 2: And I'll give you one more sports story before I
- 5:43Speaker 2: toss it over to Josh. This got me thinking this
- 5:46Speaker 2: might be a full fledged topic at some point. Have
- 5:49Speaker 2: you ever thought about how you would feel if you
- 5:53Speaker 2: were traded at work, just like you were a professional athlete?
- 5:57Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 5:58Speaker 2: I do, Like if your boss were to trade you
- 6:00Speaker 2: to another employer who wanted your skills. Yeah, probably ten
- 6:03Speaker 2: twelve times a.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Day, Right, that crosses your mind?
- 6:08Speaker 2: A New Pole, Yeah, yeah, yeah. A New Pole is
- 6:10Speaker 2: saying about twenty five percent of people say that they
- 6:13Speaker 2: would have a positive reaction to being traded, including a
- 6:17Speaker 2: small six percent who said they would love it if
- 6:21Speaker 2: that happened. You gotta be careful, you don't want to
- 6:23Speaker 2: say that out loud around your place. But I kind
- 6:26Speaker 2: of like the idea, especially like in our industry, if
- 6:29Speaker 2: we were to be like, ah, we to be a
- 6:31Speaker 2: better fit on country, Yeah, I'll trade you for you know,
- 6:34Speaker 2: whatever country bumpkin is over there, exactly, put them on
- 6:37Speaker 2: mix and then we'll go over to us when the mascot.
- 6:40Speaker 1: You got a deal.
- 6:41Speaker 2: That's kind of funny to think about, right, Or like
- 6:44Speaker 2: if you're at a I don't know, a pot shop
- 6:46Speaker 2: and a liquor store, wann't you you know? I will
- 6:49Speaker 2: trade you's.
- 6:50Speaker 1: It got to be two vices.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Well yeah, okay, people love the vices. Josh, what you got?
- 6:56Speaker 2: I like that a lot.
- 6:56Speaker 4: All right, Well, this is something that I learned that
- 6:59Speaker 4: I never knew before.
- 7:00Speaker 2: I like this.
- 7:00Speaker 4: So as the NFL season gears up, the first official
- 7:03Speaker 4: game was last night, the Carolina Panthers took on the
- 7:06Speaker 4: Arizona Cardinals and kind of a gun slinging showdown. But
- 7:09Speaker 4: what NFL and college football stadiums do around the nation
- 7:13Speaker 4: is a massive toilet test widely known as the Super
- 7:18Speaker 4: Flush season, and it's a synchronized testing out of every
- 7:21Speaker 4: single toilet and sink and urinal in the stadium flushed
- 7:26Speaker 4: at one time to make sure that the pipes and
- 7:28Speaker 4: the central system can handle that. It's essentially for them
- 7:31Speaker 4: to test. Hey, can our stadium take halftime when?
- 7:34Speaker 1: Yeah? No, is this so funny? I'm like, I've tried
- 7:38Speaker 1: this at my house. I do it at stadiums.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Too, Katie a chili dog and watch ass. You can
- 7:44Speaker 2: volunteer for this, I kind of want to.
- 7:46Speaker 4: You can volunteer two thousands of other people to do
- 7:49Speaker 4: one synchronized massive flush and see if the pipes burst.
- 7:53Speaker 1: I'm here for it.
- 7:55Speaker 4: See the Broncos should do it should be known as
- 7:57Speaker 4: the Orange flush.
- 7:58Speaker 1: All right, We've got receipts, We've got drumas, we've got
- 8:05Speaker 1: Denver talking.
- 8:06Speaker 2: It's the mile high height.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Where the JKJ legends and icons on mixed. One hundred.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Well, we have more than just let us to worry
- 8:14Speaker 2: about now. Colorado health officials say that about one hundred
- 8:18Speaker 2: and ten cases in the state of Salmonila are linked
- 8:22Speaker 2: to fresh jallapanos. Oh no, not the jallapanos.
- 8:28Speaker 1: No, not the spicy ones.
- 8:30Speaker 2: The peppers were distributed by Coast Citrus distributors. Oh those guys,
- 8:36Speaker 2: and they were used as some Chipotle and Coudova restaurants.
- 8:40Speaker 3: The outbreak has affected.
- 8:41Speaker 2: More than three hundred people. Across twenty seven states. Yeah,
- 8:46Speaker 2: these jlopenos come from a plant out in Mexico.
- 8:49Speaker 3: It sounds like again, but.
- 8:50Speaker 2: That was the lettuce thing too, wasn't it. It was
- 8:52Speaker 2: yeah in Mexico. Yeah, lapos from Mexico, Mexico.
- 8:58Speaker 1: They're causing double pay now, I mean in it already burnous.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Yeah, imagine having diarrhea via Oh no no, no, no, no, no.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Boy, bad day for you. Stay away from the and the.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Lettuce now you Wendy Williams, Fanny.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Williams love Wendy Williams.
- 9:32Speaker 2: What is it about her that you loved?
- 9:34Speaker 1: I just love that she had no qualms about saying
- 9:38Speaker 1: I'm here to talk about your business, even when she
- 9:42Speaker 1: went through all of her stuff where she was, you know,
- 9:44Speaker 1: having a little bit of a breakdown a little bit,
- 9:47Speaker 1: you know, and so but she came out and said,
- 9:49Speaker 1: she was like, you know, I told everybody about your business.
- 9:51Speaker 1: I'm not gonna come out here and ask for privacy now,
- 9:54Speaker 1: you know. So she was just no apologies whatsoever.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Feisty.
- 9:57Speaker 1: She's very feisty, and she worked really hard for what
- 10:00Speaker 1: she got.
- 10:01Speaker 2: So crazy energy out of Wendy Williams. She was on
- 10:04Speaker 2: the show many many years ago, and she came in
- 10:07Speaker 2: and it was like a hurricane came through.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Oh yeah, well she's a radio girl. Yeah, it was
- 10:12Speaker 1: like it like she entertained she's a personality and she
- 10:16Speaker 1: brought it one hundred and every time.
- 10:18Speaker 2: So well, if you are also a Wendy Williams fan,
- 10:21Speaker 2: a couple documentaries are reportedly going to be released on
- 10:26Speaker 2: either Well this has both, that's weird, both Peacock and Netflix,
- 10:30Speaker 2: so they're gonna have competing documentaries. Oh, anyway, there's a
- 10:34Speaker 2: producer attached to one of the product projects that worked.
- 10:37Speaker 3: With Windy for many, many years.
- 10:40Speaker 2: They say that they're not sure if she's gonna be
- 10:43Speaker 2: able to participate on camera though, due to her health. Yeah,
- 10:46Speaker 2: and she can't film both projects, so they're expected to
- 10:50Speaker 2: rely on like archival footage, interviews, former colleagues, family, So
- 10:56Speaker 2: it's gonna like dig deep via the people around her
- 11:00Speaker 2: versus her.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Oh I would love it you what her husband did
- 11:04Speaker 1: to her? Like, Oh, I watch every documentary I find
- 11:09Speaker 1: about Wendy Williams, so I will be watching it.
- 11:11Speaker 3: You've got two more on deck.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Here's something else you might be watching because this is
- 11:15Speaker 2: so funny. I watched the trailer for this this morning,
- 11:18Speaker 2: women everywhere are apparently lusting for this dude in a
- 11:23Speaker 2: movie named Wicker.
- 11:26Speaker 3: Wicker like a wicker chair.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Okay, this guy named Alexander starsguard. He plays a man.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Oh yeah, he's already sexy enough. He plays a man
- 11:36Speaker 2: entirely made entirely of wicker who brings companionship and more importantly,
- 11:44Speaker 2: pleasure to a lonely older woman in this movie. And
- 11:49Speaker 2: if you watch the trailer, don't have your children around
- 11:53Speaker 2: because it's like an rated trailer because there's so much
- 11:57Speaker 2: smashing going on in the railer. It's apparently he's a
- 12:04Speaker 2: freaking to bed. But he's Wicker. He's not a real man.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Some of the comments I think I can read these
- 12:12Speaker 2: on the air from ladies that are watching this. Here's
- 12:15Speaker 2: some of the quotes. I have never been so horny
- 12:18Speaker 2: for a basket before. When the doctor says you need
- 12:23Speaker 2: more fiber in you. My friend just called the new
- 12:28Speaker 2: Wicker movie fifty shades of hay. Trojan needs to come
- 12:34Speaker 2: out with a basket weave texture and the tagline woven
- 12:39Speaker 2: for her pleasure. I got two more. I'd deal with
- 12:42Speaker 2: a few splinters for a wicker Woven, Alexander Scarsguard and
- 12:48Speaker 2: finally one of my favorites. I've spent my whole life
- 12:51Speaker 2: devouring triskets.
- 12:53Speaker 3: I am ready.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Now it's pretty wild.
- 12:59Speaker 1: I'm looking at still a picture of the female league. Yes,
- 13:03Speaker 1: looking at the man. Yes, I need to see this movie.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I'm telling you need to see this movie right now.
- 13:08Speaker 2: You live, like in an apartment or a condo, you
- 13:10Speaker 2: should watch the trailer and turn it up really loud
- 13:13Speaker 2: because your neighbors will think something is going on in
- 13:15Speaker 2: your apartment, just saying it's wild. Live alone watch this movie.
- 13:19Speaker 2: But anyway, it's just kind of wild that this guy,
- 13:22Speaker 2: Like when you look at him, it's like, ooh, you're
- 13:24Speaker 2: made it out a waker. But ladies be ready to
- 13:27Speaker 2: smash woo. Yeah. Check that trailer out today for I'm
- 13:31Speaker 2: I can tell you're all blessing over there.
- 13:34Speaker 3: Okay, what's going on locally?
- 13:35Speaker 1: Okay, So deputies in Highlands Ranch, so they got to
- 13:38Speaker 1: laugh along with their traffic stop this week. So they
- 13:41Speaker 1: tried pulling over a speeding motorcycle and when they did,
- 13:44Speaker 1: they noticed that there were fake plates on the ride. Okay,
- 13:47Speaker 1: his plate said not today, that false. Oh my gosh,
- 13:54Speaker 1: it was in fact the day the rider tried getting
- 13:57Speaker 1: away when officers pulled him over on foot, but not today. Indeed,
- 14:02Speaker 1: dude was arrested in the slammer, all the stuff, but
- 14:06Speaker 1: quite hilarious. They posted that in their social media pages.
- 14:09Speaker 1: And you think if you were trying to get away
- 14:11Speaker 1: with a fake license plate, you would do something that
- 14:13Speaker 1: wasn't so obvious. You know, criminals not usually members.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Criminal So there we go.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Hey, there was supposed to be a new Dave and
- 14:21Speaker 1: Busters in Wheatbridge, but not anymore now. Earlier this year
- 14:26Speaker 1: DNB's they were given the go ahead by the city,
- 14:28Speaker 1: so a unanimous decision to set up a new location
- 14:31Speaker 1: in the Clear Creek Crossing neighborhood, I believe is where
- 14:34Speaker 1: it's at. A new thirty one thousand foot store is
- 14:38Speaker 1: what they were going to put up there for the
- 14:40Speaker 1: Dave and Busters. But yeah, excuse me again. It was
- 14:44Speaker 1: a unanimous decision from the city. But then when they
- 14:47Speaker 1: started building it, they were like, wait a second. The
- 14:49Speaker 1: neighborhood came out and was.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Like hold on the power. Yeah, not today.
- 14:54Speaker 1: So the neighbors complained about it, and they said that
- 14:58Speaker 1: it was its massive size. They don't like that heavy
- 15:00Speaker 1: commercial footprint that would destroy the local neighborhood character and
- 15:04Speaker 1: really the traffic congestion. I mean, the neighborhood showed up
- 15:08Speaker 1: in full four good for them to debate this decision,
- 15:11Speaker 1: and it was overturned. Yes, Davenbusters is no longer going
- 15:17Speaker 1: to build its new store there. They withdrew their plans.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Now we're taking our ski boss somewhere else, which.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Really goes to show that. You know, this whole scenario
- 15:29Speaker 1: with the BUCkies down south, remember we were talking about
- 15:32Speaker 1: that as you're going down to Colorado Johnstown area, right,
- 15:35Speaker 1: yea well down south, so there.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Isown this is palmer Ridge, right, Yeah, that's down there
- 15:44Speaker 2: Jay Town never.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Mind, yeah, something one of those Jay towns. But yeah,
- 15:48Speaker 1: this is very similar to that because you know the
- 15:50Speaker 1: BUCkies folks, they wanted to set up a gas station
- 15:53Speaker 1: down there as you make your way to the springs,
- 15:55Speaker 1: and the people in that area was like, we don't
- 15:57Speaker 1: want to look at a big beaver as we're just
- 15:59Speaker 1: looking at our mountains, Like that's going to ruin everything
- 16:02Speaker 1: around the monument. Monument, thank you monument.
- 16:05Speaker 2: That wasn't a word at all. A lot of times
- 16:07Speaker 2: they just come on, I'm like, where's Larkspur. It's down there.
- 16:13Speaker 2: I think it was near Larkspur.
- 16:15Speaker 3: Maybe it was an L word.
- 16:16Speaker 1: All that area.
- 16:17Speaker 2: All that is is what I was looking for.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Not today, Not today, Jeremy.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Oh boy, I gotta stop huffing paint park before I
- 16:26Speaker 2: start the show.
- 16:27Speaker 1: You're so much fun, it really is. But yeah, so
- 16:32Speaker 1: this David Busters, I mean, if it's proven anything, it's neighbors.
- 16:35Speaker 1: If you don't like something, get together, I mean strengthen numbers. Right,
- 16:40Speaker 1: And that's kind of what they're saying with this whole
- 16:41Speaker 1: David Busters saying it was because everyone came to the
- 16:44Speaker 1: town meeting. Everyone said they didn't like it, and they
- 16:47Speaker 1: can't ignore everybody, right, that's right, monument. And then what
- 16:52Speaker 1: does the poor air quality mean for your workout?
- 16:55Speaker 2: Hot out?
- 16:55Speaker 1: The air quality is crappy and experts are saying you
- 16:58Speaker 1: should do those outdoor workouts inside. So the well, yeah,
- 17:03Speaker 1: but like for me, I go and run outside. Am
- 17:05Speaker 1: I just supposed to run around park Meadows mall?
- 17:08Speaker 2: I say treadmills, I say.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Dirty red mills. I hate that.
- 17:12Speaker 2: I got home from work yesterday and I go, hey,
- 17:14Speaker 2: I'm gonna go out for a quick run. Yeah, I'm
- 17:16Speaker 2: gonna go pop off nine ten miles.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Nine ten miles.
