- 0:10Talk shit or get off the pod Episode 198 Gambling with my
- 0:17SNAP benefits, motherfucker. We're burning it down.
- 0:34Let them eat nothing. We ain't their feast.
- 0:38Cut the food stamps. Feed the beast.
- 0:42Let them eat nothing. We bite back loud.
- 0:45No king, no queen. Just hungry and proud.
- 0:53People are revoliss young, red lights long and the budget's
- 1:00thin. The people rise.
- 1:03Weed again. Let there mean nothing.
- 1:14We'll make the cake from Rage. Talk shit or get off the punch.
- 1:26Oh shit, I'll get off the punt. What's up, dude?
- 1:33Oh goes up. For the record, I don't have
- 1:36SNAP benefits and not gambling with it.
- 1:40Joseph put that title in. And it's like it made for the
- 1:43topics, it made sense and it's catchy.
- 1:47It's like, what? How do I do that?
- 1:51Who accepts those What? What back door cart house?
- 1:55Except but but we'll get into back door cart houses.
- 2:02That's like trade in soups like in prison dude.
- 2:05Well, people, no, because there's people who sell their
- 2:07like their food stamps to people for cash, which is like food,
- 2:12which is like fraud. So people get caught doing that
- 2:14where it's like, OK, I'll give you like a a dollar for every $3
- 2:18in food stamps. There's people that do that.
- 2:20That's a whole racket. Mommy's dad, who is the
- 2:24executive recruiter for Facebook and DreamWorks.
- 2:27It's like billionaire. Did he originally from Detroit?
- 2:31And I was watching Meet the Press one day and they had this
- 2:34guy on. He did an entire like book on
- 2:37the history of the Detroit and it seemed like pretty legit.
- 2:40And I was like, you know, I'm thinking in my networking brain.
- 2:43I'm like, ah, hey, she's dad from Detroit, but cop them the
- 2:48book and gave it. And I never even met the guy,
- 2:50gave it to JT. I'm like, here, give this to
- 2:52your dad. And then so you cruise over to
- 2:54his house one day and this will be the first time I'm going to
- 2:58meet his dad. And he's like, dad.
- 3:00He's his dad was up in the office and they're like fucking
- 3:04mega mansion. And we're going up like the
- 3:07secret stairwell to his office. And he's like, dad, my friend,
- 3:09Andy's here. He's the one who bought you that
- 3:12book about Detroit. And he's like, oh, that piece of
- 3:16shit liberal book. And I was like, liberal book.
- 3:19I was like, like thinking to myself, I'm like, what the fuck?
- 3:21I thought this was just like a history book on Detroit.
- 3:24And but so I get up there and he just goes off about how the book
- 3:27gave black people way too much credit for like, like, like
- 3:32building Detroit shit. And I was like, what the fuck?
- 3:36Just got like, so racist so quickly.
- 3:38But one of the things he was saying was like, just like, just
- 3:41just like, you know, like I hadn't even said anything yet
- 3:45was that they would, like, buy laundry detergent.
- 3:51Yeah. Yeah, with their SNAP benefits,
- 3:53maybe. And then they would sell it in
- 3:55the alley for cash to go buy drugs.
- 3:58And I was like, cool. Well, you like the Red Wings.
- 4:03They used to play hockey, you know, like I was just like.
- 4:05That's weird. One one thing I think about with
- 4:08laundry detergent is in South Lake where we both grew up in
- 4:14Texas. For the listeners, I was
- 4:16clarifying like you normally do, bro, you drop off some laundry
- 4:21detergent to teen court, you get your hours on community service,
- 4:26drop down if you got in trouble. If you had teen court, sometimes
- 4:29it's soup there. When I was in teen court, it was
- 4:32laundry detergent for every jug you bought.
- 4:34It was like 15 hours so you could just get your community
- 4:39service. Where was it going to?
- 4:41I don't know. You just gave it to the, well,
- 4:43the teen Court lady Amber, I think was her name.
- 4:46I remember she was kind of Batty, though.
- 4:48Everyone had like, everyone who went to Teen Court came out
- 4:50like, I don't mind going to teen court.
- 4:52Oh. Fuck you dude, fuck you.
- 4:54I went to teen court, went on trial with teen court, a jury of
- 4:57my peers. I represented myself.
- 5:02Dumb bitch puts me on the witness stand and she like hits
- 5:06me with like this like big elaborate bullshit.
- 5:09It was like a picture. OK, like I'll just, I'll just
- 5:12put the record. Like I was I crashed my parents
- 5:16suburban into a power power line pole, knocked out the power of
- 5:20this entire neighborhood on Valentine's Day.
- 5:22Like went through the entire engine of the Suburban Z71 or
- 5:26whatever it was. It was a rain one.
- 5:29No black. It was like it was like the
- 5:31souped up one after the green one and but it like I it was
- 5:36raining. It just started raining.
- 5:37I was going, I was going to our girl MO's house, stopping there
- 5:42for a make out sesh, then going to hockey practice.
- 5:45But my back tires like swerve out like and then I just went
- 5:49straight into the pool. And then they the cop tried to
- 5:54say that I'd been drinking. I bet they never gave me like a
- 5:57breathalyzer or anything. And then my parents just came
- 6:01and picked me up. So I so I went to teen court for
- 6:04that. And then she's like, she's like,
- 6:08look at should I have pictures of my car, the Suburban and like
- 6:13aftermath. And then she's like, look at
- 6:15all, look at the road. It's all gravelly and you're
- 6:18going 40 or 50 miles an hour. It was like a 45, but in 50
- 6:22miles an hour while it's raining in this gravel.
- 6:24And then like this big production I go, those pictures
- 6:28were taken at the tow yard where where you know, like after they
- 6:31took my total suburban to like the junkyard and then they took
- 6:35the pictures and then it was like every like a gasp out of
- 6:39the jury. And then I just got off.
- 6:41Like I had, I had to do like community.
- 6:43I had to do like 8 hours community service at the
- 6:46library. And then like when I was at the
- 6:48library, some like older chick was also doing community
- 6:51service. She was like kind of hot and she
- 6:53was taking like diet pills like to get like fucked up and like
- 6:57gave me some and it just made me feel weird.
- 7:00That's like the most I did community service at the library
- 7:04in in South Lake teen Court I've ever heard.
- 7:09When I had mine, man, I did the laundry detergent for a bit and
- 7:13then like I had a shit ton of hours.
- 7:15So there's at one point I pulled weeds at the fire department.
- 7:18That was pretty tight. The worst was to knock it all
- 7:23out. I volunteered at Grapefest, so I
- 7:26and I had to watch the bouncy slide and it was terrible
- 7:31because it was across the way from the Bob the Builder stand.
- 7:35So it was just like every 30 minutes there was like another,
- 7:39not even like 15 minutes. There was another Bob the
- 7:41Builder show for kids that would come by and he'd come out and
- 7:44whatever and then it would end, go back for about 5 minutes,
- 7:48come back, do the same shit out there.
- 7:51I had to like 8-8 or nine hours to finish.
- 7:54I was like, I'm just going to finish the shit today.
- 7:55I'm just going to stay. So I showed up and open at the
- 7:58start and bro, I heard that Bob the Builder song non-stop
- 8:02because when he wasn't performing and singing the
- 8:05thing, it was just playing on a loop like and that's all there
- 8:08was. I was just sitting there while
- 8:10these kids are diving off of this like 2 story bouncy slide.
- 8:14I have no, I have no business watching this.
- 8:16I'm not interested at all. Just like about to lose my mind
- 8:20for about 8 to 9 hours I was just listening to Bob the
- 8:23Builder. I have no idea what that is.
- 8:26Oh I know I've heard of Bob the Builder, but I have no idea what
- 8:29the theme song is. Yes we can.
- 8:31It's like, oh bro, like I know it.
- 8:33I didn't then and I'll never forget as like Vietnam music to
- 8:36me, dude. You might as well play like
- 8:38clearance in Clearwater, dude, because that just like fuck, I
- 8:40feel like I'm in the middle of the Mekong Delta.
- 8:44I just left the Nang dude, like it's going down when I hear the
- 8:47Bob the Builder because it was tormenting, but I I've, I mean,
- 8:52I was like, Oh, I want to go to court and fight this.
- 8:54My my mom's like Nope, Nope, like the you're just getting
- 8:58what you get. I was like, oh, thanks, that's
- 8:59great. Love the you got my back.
- 9:04But I bought a lot of laundry detergent for sure.
- 9:06Speaking of credence, I think I'm going to make a protest song
- 9:14like in the like style of like the 70s protest song, Yeah.
- 9:19I ain't no senator Song, song, song, you know what I mean?
- 9:23But no, that was terrible. But teen Court, shout out, shout
- 9:27out, shout out teen court, 'cause even though it was lame,
- 9:29it was an experience. And now that whole building,
- 9:33that whole building, that's where I vote.
- 9:35It's great. I make a point to go in and vote
- 9:38in South Lake Town Square, down downstairs, there's still a
- 9:42library. And then that now you get like
- 9:44your, you can get like register your car there.
- 9:47That whole building's just like the I don't, it's not the
- 9:49courthouse. The new courthouse looks crazy
- 9:52with the Police Department next to Del Frisco's.
- 9:55It's like right, like get out of here, but it's like crazy.
- 10:00It's like bougie as fuck. I went in there.
- 10:02It looks like some Gotham Castle thing.
- 10:04It's pretty absurd. Well, yeah, 'cause like, it's
- 10:09the property tax, right? Like, and all those like
- 10:11properties like have just like quintuple.
- 10:14Yeah, yeah, yeah. What's and what's wild is I
- 10:18remember when that was some wildly dude and he had like it
- 10:21was just a big swath of land that it was like a little shack,
- 10:25shitty house on it and it was surrounded by barbed wire.
- 10:29It was awful. People like lived there half the
- 10:31time it was just like a shit hole and then they sold it and
- 10:35it became town square. But for like a chunk.
- 10:38I remember it being like a shithole.
- 10:40OK, another crazy story. It's super awesome.
- 10:43So I was doing my work thing, walking around.
- 10:49Who do I see? South Lake Mayor, You ain't
- 10:54trading with me. You're burning money, baby.
- 10:56Rick Stacy staying. And what's funny is I bumped
- 11:00into his oldest son. I bought a very expensive couch
- 11:06from them. It got fucked up.
- 11:07It took forever to get. I think I talked about this,
- 11:10this was a while ago on the pod and I bumped into his son who
- 11:14used to like, threaten to beat the shit out of me 'cause I
- 11:17would like break their windows and 'cause they're his huge
- 11:20property. Where?
- 11:21His mansion in our hometown of South Lake, Texas.
- 11:24This guy Rick Stacy, he is a furniture icon in the fuck
- 11:31mattress Macd or something. He's he is famous for setting
- 11:35fire to hundreds of thousands of dollars on fire on television
- 11:40tycoon and furniture tycoon. And all that property is now
- 11:45like multimillion dollar homes. He sold all that property.
- 11:47It's all neighborhoods like, but he's there and I'm like, oh
- 11:50shit, like he's just staying. I'm like, Hey, what's my mayor
- 11:54doing in here? And he was like, and we got to
- 11:57talk in and he was like, wait, you lived on Blanco Circle?
- 12:00And I was like, yeah, this is the one thing that's shitty and
- 12:04funny dredged on White Circle. Yeah, I lived on.
- 12:07Yeah. No, I always said that I lived
- 12:09on Blanco Circle with my all white family.
- 12:12Yeah. It's like a sitcom, bro.
- 12:14But he remembers me because I was the only black kid in the
- 12:17neighborhood. And I used to like throw rocks
- 12:19at his Longhorns and like, like I set fire to a portion of his
- 12:24backyard one time, his pasture with fireworks.
- 12:27And we used to play baseball and he was like, holy shit.
- 12:30So then we're sitting there chopping it up and we played
- 12:33football with two of, I played football with two of his
- 12:35nephews. So it's like very, you know,
- 12:38there's like three of us. Don't you think you should get
- 12:40some probable deniability? Like where so for for the
- 12:46audience, Rick Stacy, he would light money on fire on
- 12:49commercials like and he's like, if you're not shopping with me,
- 12:52you're lighting money on fire. And you would actually light
- 12:53real money on fire. That's awesome.
- 12:55Still does. So you lit his his backyard on
- 12:58fire. Yeah, dude, I would just like be
- 13:00deny it, be like bro, dude, we have this dude on camera
- 13:03lighting cash on fire all the time.
- 13:06You're telling me you're going to blame the one black kid on
- 13:09Blanco Circle like for this? Like when it's we have like,
- 13:13like evidence upon evidence of this dude just being like a
- 13:16arsonist. Well then, so we're sitting
- 13:20there chopping it up and we're laughing and laughing about
- 13:23like, sound like old South, like shit, like, oh, man, like I
- 13:29like, you know, you know, talking about how much it's
- 13:31changed. I was like, yeah, I miss like
- 13:32people riding their horses up to the Dairy Queen off Kimball
- 13:36because there used to be a shitty, like whole like meth
- 13:40trap house style, like Dairy Queen there.
- 13:42It was good, but it was like a shitty Dairy Queen.
- 13:44There used to be people on horses there all the time.
- 13:46But it's like right where Home Depot or where Lowe's is, where
- 13:50the McDonald's is on Kimball. It's like, it was like right off
- 13:53114. And he was like, holy shit.
- 13:56Like we were just tripping out. Two seconds later, his son Jay
- 13:59walks in and it's like, dude, what the fuck?
- 14:01And I just got to chop it up with Rick Stacy for about 45.
- 14:05Minutes. That's that's rich man.
- 14:06Poor man, though, is the riding the horses, like, because like,
- 14:10I'll go out to Hidden Hills, you know, it's like where Kylie
- 14:13Jenner lives, Dwyane Wade, Kevin Durant, Lil Wayne.
- 14:16Yeah. And it's like everybody's got
- 14:20horses. Like, like the whole thing is
- 14:21like horses. So like, I feel like South, like
- 14:26might make a comeback where you're going to see a bunch of
- 14:28horses all the time because everybody's so true.
- 14:30But, but all those guys back then who would be riding their
- 14:33horses to Dairy Queen, like they're already kind of loaded.
- 14:37Like if you were out there in that period of time and you were
- 14:41making those moves then and you bought a bunch of land when it
- 14:45blew up. I mean our house, that house
- 14:48that I grew up in, I mean my parents spent a good amount of
- 14:51money, cost about the same amount as the house I'm in now.
- 14:54And the house that we grew up in is worth light.
- 14:58But I grew up. It is worth like 100 and 89250%
- 15:02more than what they paid for it. It's fucking absurd.
- 15:05And it's a house that was built in like 9192 because of the
- 15:08property. So those guys who owned those
- 15:11properties for those neighborhoods had farms out
- 15:14there pastures because it was a two way school in 90 192 and now
- 15:19it's a 6A. You know, you can't find a lot
- 15:22in the in the area. It's blown up so much.
- 15:24So it it's all the good old boys like got paid, like all those
- 15:28old country families, They all got fucking paid.
- 15:30Some of them still live there. Some of them got out sold, you
- 15:34know, but we're talking 40 acres, 100 acres selling big
- 15:39plots. There was huge plots of land
- 15:42back in the day, all down 114 Foxborough, Tamaron.
- 15:47Like one guy owned like most of Tamaron and just sold it.
- 15:50That's crazy. And it's nuts to think how much
- 15:53it's worth now. But how much do you think he got
- 15:56paid? Like the equivalent would be
- 15:57nuts. You know, he got fucking paid.
- 16:01Or if you're like some certain families, you buy the land, you
- 16:04hold it and you cut it up into your own neighborhoods, like the
- 16:07Salmon custom homes or the Makest custom homes.
- 16:11Those guys are very smart. But they've been doing that
- 16:13since the 90s. Like they're geniuses.
- 16:15Rick Stacy's been running a multimillion dollar furniture
- 16:19and it was just one and it was in Grapevine.
- 16:21Now they're all over Texas. Like that dude's blowing the
- 16:24fuck up while being the mayor of like the richest, one of the
- 16:28richest small cities in the country for like 25 years.
- 16:31That's crazy. So it's tight to just bump into
- 16:34him and then be like, I was a nightmare.
- 16:36And he's like, oh shit, you were that black kid.
- 16:38I remember you now. It was like, it was a good
- 16:40moment because like to. Get him on the pod.
- 16:44Because it's easy for me to be like, oh, like chopped down and
- 16:48get to like, oh, that was you. Because it was.
- 16:51It's a very short list. It wasn't, you know, like, like
- 16:55with the couple of the black girls in the neighborhood.
- 16:57And for the longest time, I was the only black boy in the
- 17:00neighborhood. And his property touched like
- 17:03our backyard. And I was back there.
- 17:06It was huge. It was a lake.
- 17:08There was all sorts. You could get in all sorts of
- 17:09trouble. And it went down the whole
- 17:10cul-de-sac. So all of the kids could, like,
- 17:14he had a barbed wire fence. And it was just like, we'd like,
- 17:16stretch it the fuck out. But then sometimes these like
- 17:19cows and shit would try to bust through and roam the fuck around
- 17:23in the neighborhood because we would like cut the fence or open
- 17:27the open the fence up. So you know the sidebar.
- 17:31It was a cool I was fanboy moment, South Lake fanboy
- 17:33moment. Rick Stacy in a shirt in a red
- 17:36shirt that says Rick Stacy with the Rick Stacy's furniture logo
- 17:39on it with flames. Get out of here.
- 17:42Like it was dead serious like a heart attack.
- 17:48It was epic. I was like, this is how I and he
- 17:51looks the same baller ass ring on.
- 17:54I was like God, that's awesome. I could retire with however much
- 17:57that ring's worth. They didn't like it's just and
- 18:00he sold all of that. The whole thing got sold except
- 18:03he owns the man his big mansion sold all the rest of it.
- 18:07That whole thing is just it's like Coventry Manor.
- 18:10It's just like big fucking mega houses and he just sold them all
- 18:13off 1 by 1. Boom boom, boom, boom boom.
- 18:16It's like how you boomers. Boomers.
- 18:22Before we go to therapy, questions, shout out another
- 18:24country that's back-to-back weeks.
- 18:26New countries. Paraguay, just way up in the
- 18:29charts. But oh.
- 18:30Paraguay. Yeah, it's, it's in the fucking
- 18:32top 10 now. And also Costa Rica.
- 18:36Oh, all right, Costa Rica. That could that could be that
- 18:40could be one that we buy out, do a live show for.
- 18:44That'll just be cool. Just fly out to Costa Rica.
- 18:46That's. What I'm saying?
- 18:47Yeah, let's do a live, live Q&A, Sash.
- 18:50Right. All right, let's get into them
- 18:53all. Right y'all time for therapy
- 18:55questions. Therapy question #1 Joseph,
- 18:59would you rather be invisible, but only when crying?
- 19:05Or. Able to fly, but only when
- 19:08having a panic attack. See, both are good.
- 19:12Both of these are not bad. You can make a case for either
- 19:15because if you don't want people to see your sad, don't want
- 19:18people to watch you cry, you get embarrassed like that.
- 19:20You just when you have a sad moment, you just just a fucking
- 19:23peer. When you get together, you come
- 19:25back, you good? Yeah, I'm good.
- 19:29Are you crying? Nope, because I'm visible again.
- 19:32Right. Like that'd be good if you were
- 19:33like weird about people seeing you upset.
- 19:36You can hide it. And then if you learn how to
- 19:39just cry on command, you take some acting classes.
- 19:42Dude, you're just like the best robber, bank robber, jewel thief
- 19:47ever. Whatever you want to do, you
- 19:49could use it for good or bad. Every time I bring it up, it's
- 19:52always for something bad and like stealing some shit.
- 19:54But I would probably yeah, that that's not bad.
- 19:58And then the other one have a panic attack.
- 20:00You fly away, you're having a panic attack and you need alone
- 20:02time. You just take off.
- 20:05Is that not going to like? No, because you because you know
- 20:10that you can fly then I can fly, man, I'm having a pan attack.
- 20:13I got to get the fuck out of here.
- 20:15That's stressing me out and you just take off.
- 20:17That sounds fantastic. That's that's like the but then.
- 20:20Which one? Which?
- 20:211 I feel like that's what people who have panic attacks and
- 20:24people are like, are you OK? That's what they want to do is
- 20:27to fly the fuck away. So I can easily see that being
- 20:30beneficial. Like mentally, like it's a it's
- 20:33a break, it's a forced break and it's something like a whole new
- 20:36world type shit. You can go fly around, calm down
- 20:40now you got to get back. So you don't want to go too far.
- 20:43You probably just want to like fly up, fly somewhere local,
- 20:46half a mile away, somewhere land in a tree that you know you can
- 20:50climb down. You'd have like a routine, but
- 20:52it could be helpful. I could see that not being a bad
- 20:54thing. All right, well, you have to
- 20:56pick one. Probably being invisible when
- 20:59I'm crying because then I feel like you could have more control
- 21:02over that. Because if you by definition of
- 21:05panic attack is not, you're out of control.
- 21:07No, by definition, like, you know, you're going through some
- 21:09shit to, you know, kick on your superpowers.
- 21:12You're like, hold on, start to destroy my life and put me in a
- 21:15compromising situation. Like that would be terrible.
- 21:20That's a shitty superpower. You'd be a mess.
- 21:24Or you could just like smoke meth all the time and then you'd
- 21:26be able to like take off whenever you want because you're
- 21:29just your whole life is a 24/7 panic attack, you know?
- 21:34If you guys go back the episode Russian Roulette where we had
- 21:39our Fred Marley as the guest, I had a full blown panic attack
- 21:44minutes before we started recording while like the the
- 21:47feed was up and everything and bounced back and had one of the
- 21:51greatest episodes of all time. You've had that couple times.
- 21:54I still think of that time you drink that weed soda and it was
- 21:57just. Like that was too much.
- 21:59That was just like too much and you just couldn't stop laughing.
- 22:02And we're just like kind of like tripping out.
- 22:04That was really funny. Struggling.
- 22:08To say the least. But yeah, definitely even.
- 22:10What about you? You haven't said.
- 22:13I hate panic attacks. It's like even like when I know
- 22:16I'm having a panic attack, I'm still, it's like there's nothing
- 22:19you can do. Who loves a panic attack?
- 22:21Right, but I'm saying, like more than most things in life, that's
- 22:25fair. Yeah.
- 22:27So I'm with you on the crying therapy question #2 would you
- 22:32rather all your shoes squeak like a rubber duck or your
- 22:38clothes rustle like potato chip bags?
- 22:43Probably the shoe squeak like rubber clothes rustle like
- 22:47potato bags. That means like I put on boxers
- 22:50and they're like like that sounds awful.
- 22:53That makes me sound like crunchy as shit.
- 22:56Now if your shoes squeak a I can wear sandals BI go hard into
- 23:02like eco friendly and I just go barefoot and your boy ain't
- 23:05squeaking or you just squeaky ass shoes.
- 23:09You buy a brand that's like notorious for squeaking like on
- 23:11clouds. Right now those are super
- 23:13popular. Everybody likes them.
- 23:15One of the bad reviews is they squeak.
- 23:17They become squeaky over time and make an annoying squeak
- 23:19sound. It's one of the reasons why I
- 23:21haven't bought them is I'm like, I want them, but I want to spend
- 23:24200 bucks on some shoes that are going to be squeaking in like a
- 23:26month. That sounds annoying but if I
- 23:28just wear those all the time I could be that frat dad that's
- 23:32got squeaky shoes that so you can find a way to cover it and
- 23:35not have people know as we're like rustling like a bag of
- 23:39potato chips that just sounds like unappealing and then all
- 23:42your clothes sound the same. Doesn't matter what you're
- 23:44wearing. Don't.
- 23:45Your all your clothes sound the same already.
- 23:48No, because you might have a jacket that's a little bit
- 23:50crispier or some pants that got a little wisp, you know what I'm
- 23:53saying? Like you have all the they all
- 23:55have different sounds now, your T-shirts might all sound the
- 23:58same, but your jackets don't. Some hoodies don't, right.
- 24:01So they but they all just sound like a bag of potato chips.
- 24:05That's almost like comical. It'd be like somebody's editing
- 24:08what you're doing because as you'd get dressed, everything go
- 24:12like that's it. And then it would.
- 24:13Just but everywhere you go dude, so doesn't even matter.
- 24:15If you can cry and command and be invisible, you're squeaking
- 24:18like a motherfucker. That's what I say.
- 24:19You just go barefoot. You can just go barefoot.
- 24:21Well I don't even, I don't even wear boxers anymore bro.
- 24:24You can do like, go like, what's it, Kit?
- 24:25What's it like? My name's Marley or whatever.
- 24:27And like with Owen Wilson, just be like, wow, I don't wear shoes
- 24:31ever. This is awesome.
- 24:33Like, you can just like, make that be your fucking life and
- 24:37not wear shoes and just lean into that hard.
- 24:40Be like, yeah, that's just his thing.
- 24:41He just doesn't wear shoes. Oh, and to hear this with your
- 24:44Owen Wilson again. I don't know if I could hit him,
- 24:46dude. Wow, it's pretty good.
- 24:51Well, there's those, you know, different videos where it's
- 24:53like, wow, this is like, awesome.
- 25:03It's weird. It's like all of your clothes
- 25:06sound like potato chips. Wow, they don't have potato
- 25:15chips out here in the Baja. As I mean, my name's Mr. Goody 2
- 25:23shoes. I can't have fucking shoes to
- 25:24just squeak in it. It's just it's a bad.
- 25:26Your shoes are squeaking. If you wore those in Vietnam,
- 25:30they would have found you in 2 seconds.
- 25:34Who would have found me? The Vietcong Charlie is what we
- 25:40used to call him. I was a frog man, then I was a
- 25:45wrestler. Hulk Hogan sold me out.
- 25:50That's pretty good. You can say.
- 25:51I like that. He does get out.
- 25:57Predator is real, you know. I wear a leather jacket.
- 26:02I wear a leather jacket 24/7. It's bulletproof.
- 26:07They don't tell you that at the Levi's store, but it is.
- 26:12Why is it Russell like like potato chip bags?
- 26:15Because I like ruffles. That's what they when the Viet
- 26:19Cong catch you, that's all they feed you. 3 month old Ruffles.
- 26:25Sour cream and onion or like the.
- 26:26Barbecue cheddar. OK, I haven't done just you tell
- 26:35me. Do you want to eat those every
- 26:38day? You tell me.
- 26:44If we could get. Miss being on the show.
- 26:47We're glad to have you back. I I was getting worried about
- 26:49you. For having me.
- 26:53Everybody Jesse the body. Ventura Governor.
- 26:57Governor. Yeah, Governor.
- 26:59Yeah, new Predators. Jesse, are you going to make a
- 27:01cameo? No, I'm out here in the Baja.
- 27:03No, they're coming out with a new running man though.
- 27:06Did you see that? They actually are, it looks.
- 27:08Also a new predator. New Predator type but the new
- 27:12Running Man looks really dumb. That's one of my favorite
- 27:14movies. Is Running man top 4 Arnold
- 27:18Schwarzenegger movies? It's up there with Commando.
- 27:21Commando's. You know, I've rattled on about
- 27:23why Commando's a great movie. Interracial relationships,
- 27:27Jewish dad pretending to be a Colombian drug Lord, AKA the dad
- 27:31from clueless like Alyssa Milano's kid.
- 27:34Like where are we? It's it's very progressive black
- 27:38female pilots. Like what are we talking about?
- 27:40This is great. It broke so many barriers.
- 27:43But the new running man movie, it's all about like prop like
- 27:46the originals, like about propaganda, fake TV.
- 27:49And there's this death contest where they capture people, put
- 27:53them on trial in this like death ring.
- 27:55And then they have to go through these series of events and
- 27:58Jesse, the body, Ventura is in it and he's like retired and
- 28:02he's like the the final boss that he has to fight at the end.
- 28:05And his character is like fucking ridiculous.
- 28:08But it's got Jim Brown Hall of Fame running back is in it.
- 28:11He plays night night. No, it's not Nitro.
- 28:14Nitro is played by a fat man who's an opera singer who shoots
- 28:18electricity. So I don't know how they're
- 28:19going to recreate running man, but they are.
- 28:21And it looks kind of dumb. I'm into it.
- 28:24I I like when I first saw it, like no intro, nobody told me
- 28:29what was going on all of a sudden like this movie just on
- 28:31and I was like in love with that.
- 28:33I was like, I think I was like 11.
- 28:35Fucking awesome. And the way they present the TV
- 28:38and the way they, like, manipulate media to turn people
- 28:42against and, like, criminalize. It's like it's the original 1.
- 28:46If you watch it now, it'll fuck you up because you're like,
- 28:49damn. Like, it's see, it's so much
- 28:52more topical now than it was before.
- 28:54Like, before it was like a dystopian.
- 28:57Yeah. Like it's like a dystopian
- 28:59future that is now like kind of come to fruition in a lot of
- 29:03ways when it comes to media. And there's there's an outfit,
- 29:07there is a suit that they wear in Running Man.
- 29:10It is an Adidas suit. It is a full body yellow with
- 29:15these crazy stripes like jumpsuit and I want 1 so fucking
- 29:22bad. I've always been like, damn, if
- 29:23I could find that I would pay good money for that jumpsuit.
- 29:27It's just badass and you can't find it anywhere.
- 29:30And this new one, they don't have it.
- 29:32And that's where they lost me. I was like, you don't even have
- 29:34the jumpsuit and you can look it up like I I implore you go
- 29:37online and look it up and see the suit.
- 29:39You're like that's pretty fucking tight.
- 29:41Like it's pretty fucking cool. And they only made it just for
- 29:44the movie. And there's all these knockoffs,
- 29:46but like an original one on eBay is, I don't know, like 6 or 7
- 29:50grand, something crazy, but it's the original running man seat.
- 29:54So Speaking of reboots, we had brought up Tron, Jared Leto.
- 30:01Terrible. I don't know if you read that
- 30:03article that I sent you, but it was all about it was exactly
- 30:07like what we were saying. Just like Jared Leto is no
- 30:13longer a bankable star. And so they lost money on that
- 30:17fucking thing. Oh, yeah, on Tron.
- 30:20But so, but like, remember we were guessing like we were like
- 30:23making like, I bet like he was like trying to like get in on
- 30:26the soundtrack and like, had to like, you know, all that shit,
- 30:29dude. Yeah, it is kind of crazy.
- 30:31So they were gonna they're gonna make like Tron.
- 30:35It was like, it was totally different.
- 30:38Like had like the original sequel script and and then in
- 30:44like like they just like canned it and they weren't going to do
- 30:47it. And then Leto decided to like
- 30:51take over and he started pitching it and became like a
- 30:55producer on it. And then like sold the fucking
- 30:57dream. And then they rewrote the script
- 31:01to where he like he was now the hero or you know, like the
- 31:04protagonist and like the whole script was around him.
- 31:07And then they also paid his ass like some crazy amount of money.
- 31:13Like he paid himself basically some crazy amount of money, made
- 31:17the whole thing around him and then and got them to convince
- 31:22like convinced like the studio to do it, even though everybody
- 31:24like who like was like this is a sequel nobody's like was asking
- 31:27for and and then it just completely like flopped.
- 31:32Imagine how do you think that is that a dub or an L?
- 31:38Because you would be making a shit ton of money.
- 31:42You'd make a bad movie, but you'd walk away with a bunch of
- 31:47money but knowing that you like murdered, afraid of us because
- 31:50he's got to know like Morbius, that bat movie where Jared
- 31:54Leto's a bat. Like it was like, bro, what are
- 31:56you doing? Like now you're just trying to
- 31:58interject yourself into like this universe to be like this
- 32:02superhero later. And it flopped.
- 32:04Like how do you like, how does that got to feel to like flop
- 32:08after flop, but in turn getting like, Oh yeah, I made 30 mil
- 32:12with the movie blue. Like do you think he cares or I
- 32:15think? Out of all the people in the
- 32:16world, he would care. He, you know, like, would I
- 32:18care? No.
- 32:20But he's so, like, obsessed with himself that he's like, Oh my
- 32:24God, yeah. It's because they don't like me.
- 32:26It's because of my long hair. Everybody wants to take my hair.
- 32:29It's because of my yoga retreats.
- 32:30They're all jealous of my cult. It was like in the article, it
- 32:33was like in a In a world where Ewan McGregor might, like
- 32:37Fassbender and Benedict Cumberbatch are having a hard
- 32:41time finding roles, Jared Leto's done.
- 32:45Yeah. Like it was ruthless.
- 32:49It's not good. It's not good.
- 32:53Therapy question #3 Would you rather do breath work with Jeff
- 33:00Bezos or cold plunges with Elon Musk?
- 33:05See, I've thought about this. Oh.
- 33:07You've thought about this in the past.
- 33:08Well, I, I read it. No, just like I was thinking
- 33:10about this when I read this earlier, and it's probably cold
- 33:16plunges with Elon. Just because I know that if
- 33:19we're doing that, it's going to be in some weird remote Arctic
- 33:22place. There's probably gonna, we're
- 33:24probably gonna be on like a crazy boat throwing up party or
- 33:27something going on. We're doing cold plunges.
- 33:30Dude, that's more like Jeff Bezos than Elon.
- 33:32Elon's not on yachts like Jeff Bezos has a yacht.
- 33:35Elon's got a yacht, does he? Know I mean maybe, but like
- 33:38like. We're also.
- 33:39We're also. Jeff Bezos No big Jeff Bezos's
- 33:41yacht is like. Yeah, but then, well, where are
- 33:43we? Doing the best yacht on the
- 33:44planet. Where are we doing breathing?
- 33:45Work on the motherfucking sun deck of his yacht.
- 33:49Yeah, then it's the yacht. Yeah, that's it.
- 33:51Because either way, I don't want to hang out with either of them.
- 33:53That whole setting, that whole setup.
- 33:55What's the best setup? Yeah, it's Bezos.
- 33:57Obviously like Elon, his setup is like on the on the floor of
- 34:02the SpaceX factory or something. OK, what if it's doing hanging,
- 34:06doing cold plunges and some top secret part of SpaceX?
- 34:11Or doing breath work in his penis spaceship with Jeff Bezos.
- 34:18I guess probably the penis spaceship because at least I'd
- 34:20be in space. Yeah, or I mean just Bezos all
- 34:24around here, unless it's like in a fucking middle of an Amazon,
- 34:27you know, warehouse or something like which which he doesn't
- 34:30even, you know as. Long as we're as long as we're
- 34:31off site. Yeah, he, he cashed out.
- 34:33He doesn't, you know, he's just like the, he's like on the
- 34:35board, but he's doesn't run the shit anymore.
- 34:37He's just on his fucking yacht with like his like, you know,
- 34:40his wifey, I forget her, like her last name.
- 34:44Sanchez, her first name she's just you know, she got the
- 34:47thongs on dude. You got like full full fucking
- 34:50crew like of of deckhands and stewardess just like in a
- 34:54private chef and come on man well.
- 34:58That's what I'm saying is what's the best backdrop?
- 35:00What's the best backdrop? And also like what is?
- 35:04He going to be like. The thing is, like, Elon might
- 35:06die. Like, he's like fucking Matt
- 35:08Perry, like doing cold plunges on ketamine, you know?
- 35:11So I like, I don't know if you're here for that.
- 35:18But if I was just there, I would, like, do the whole
- 35:20circuit. They'd be like, oh, my God, tell
- 35:22me what it was like. I was like, it was tragic.
- 35:24He was actually talking about, you know, changing everything
- 35:27and giving all of his money to, like, science and poor people
- 35:30and changing the world. And then he did a cold plunge
- 35:33and die. You would you would hype him up
- 35:35like that. I'm trying to get, you know,
- 35:38attribute some of that money. His last five words. 5 words
- 35:42with the N word. I can see Elon being like, why
- 35:45don't have a will? Because I'm going to.
- 35:47I have, I just have the will to live forever.
- 35:50That's one like Peter. That's one like Peter Thiel.
- 35:52Well, they're they're friends. They're in cahoots together.
- 35:56Dude, I just saw an interview with Peter Thiel and they're
- 35:59like the interviewee interviewer was like, do you think that the
- 36:04human race that should survive? Oh, I saw that.
- 36:09Yeah, dude, he can't even say yes.
- 36:11Well, he's like obsessed with like the Antichrist and all this
- 36:14weird shit. He's a weird out there dude.
- 36:17Yeah, dude, he, he's like, we're going to take being trans and he
- 36:21says, he says transvestite. He's like, we're going to take
- 36:24it to a whole nother level. We're not talking about just
- 36:27different sex organs. We're talking about different
- 36:29brains, different hearts, different lungs.
- 36:33He's like, he's like he all y'all are talking about trans
- 36:36people. I'm going to show you trans
- 36:37people. Yeah, I'm going to tell you a
- 36:38transformer robot in disguise. Like that's no, that's crazy,
- 36:45man. That's and these are the dudes
- 36:47that are like taking over. Fuck Peter Taylor dude.
- 36:56Therapy question #4 Would you rather every team meeting start
- 37:02with a group hug or a synchronized scream?
- 37:07See, I feel like a synchronized scream would be good.
- 37:11It would hurt people's ears if we all had earplugs though,
- 37:13because I think everybody could get the rage out.
- 37:15It would get the tension out. Think the conversations might be
- 37:17better. A hug, like a sync, like a sync,
- 37:20a group hug, everybody. That'd be just kind of weird.
- 37:24I feel like that'd just be a little too much, a little culty.
- 37:26Even though a scream would be too.
- 37:28I think people would get out more from that and I think it
- 37:31could be a more productive meaning.
- 37:36Would you rather if you, let's say you were in a cult, would
- 37:39you rather the theme song for your cult be like a banger but
- 37:42like really shitty lyrics or like be like a a shit song but
- 37:47like really like inspirational deep ass lyrics?
- 37:50On point. Like you mean like shitty beat?
- 37:53Yeah, So that like the Bob the Builder theme song, but like
- 37:59with like, you know, transcendent lyrics.
- 38:03Probably that because I can just be kind of like cool to be like
- 38:07an old random woo song or something like that, like some
- 38:10old Project Pat with like a shitty basement beat, but the
- 38:12lyrics are fire and you're like, this is so rowdy.
- 38:15I love this song. How did this beat does not match
- 38:18these words? I'd much rather that then it'd
- 38:21just be like BA with the BA, the bang the bang, diggy, diggy,
- 38:24diggy. Because that'd be a cool walk
- 38:26out song if you're a wrestler. But I don't know if I want to
- 38:28like, walk up to the pulpit till you know.
- 38:32Take kiss Jared Leto's feet. A fucking, you know, disturbed
- 38:36song. Suddenly it changes violently.
- 38:40It changes and be a little, you know, get down with the
- 38:44sickness. I'm like a little brothers and
- 38:46sisters. That'd be like, I don't know,
- 38:48like a, oh, I might want to make that joke.
- 38:51I want to say Democratic National, Republican National
- 38:53Convention. I was going to make another joke
- 38:56about a more topical recent event that was like a wrestling
- 38:59event, but I didn't want to say that.
- 39:03Oh no, people are still getting cancelled for that anyways.
- 39:06Turning Point USA type shit. Yeah, but I mean, that would
- 39:10just seem way too gimmicky and corny.
- 39:12So I'd rather it be like some deep shit, but not like a Bob
- 39:16Dylan song. I'm not a big Bob Dylan fan.
- 39:18He kind of gets on my nerves. It's just like his voice.
- 39:22It's just kind of pisses me off. I don't know why Bill Alby
- 39:26writes some bangers, but I'm not that into it.
- 39:30And some of it's just like gibberish half foot like some
- 39:32of. Them I just saw Paul McCartney
- 39:35or not Paul McCartney, John Lennon, some like like hippie
- 39:39homeless dude, like showed up at his house and he thought like
- 39:42all The Beatles songs were about him.
- 39:44He's like on LSD or something. And John Lennon's like, he's
- 39:48like no man. He's like sometimes I'll just
- 39:52put words together and and see if they mean anything.
- 39:56And a lot of times there's the nonsense.
- 39:59Even telling does that too, you know.
- 40:02You know, it's just easily. It's, if anything, it's just
- 40:04about me. Or if it's about love, it's
- 40:06maybe about Yoko. But it's not about you, man.
- 40:10And George Harris. George Harris.
- 40:11He's like, are you hungry? Are you hungry?
- 40:13And then he's like, invite some men for like.
- 40:14I think we need to give him a sandwich.
- 40:16He looks a little hungry. That's what happened.
- 40:19Hey, man, do you want to come inside and have a little bite to
- 40:22eat, maybe take a hot shower? But he's like, he's like.
- 40:25He's like, he's like, I hope the songs be about you.
- 40:29I don't even know you. He doesn't even know who you
- 40:32are. And then?
- 40:33And then the guy and the guy like references one song, the
- 40:36homeless guy, and he goes, that was tall.
- 40:41I think I'd say that before we're like arguing with them,
- 40:45but I'm Dylan would just say weird shit coffee pot in the
- 40:48rain. I lost on the train.
- 40:51Marble's gone. We're all my jacks.
- 40:53Oh, look at you got the sugar stacks and I just I did a whole.
- 40:58Research project. I'm like get.
- 40:59The fuck out of here. I'm like, what happened to
- 41:01people? Like I'm like, you don't know
- 41:05bars. None of us know what that means.
- 41:07That is like a Twister song. Like, is it good?
- 41:10Sure. Did everybody jam out to it?
- 41:12Yes. Do you know what Twister was
- 41:13saying? Fuck no you don't.
- 41:15Nobody does. Twister doesn't even know what
- 41:17he's saying. He could just be going like this
- 41:19like it was it was even words half the time, but it hit.
- 41:23Just admit it. Don't act like you know what
- 41:26he's talking about. But Bob Dylan, like you, have no
- 41:28idea what he means. But sometimes he's so, he's so
- 41:32prolific like that, like. No, I know and I've it's.
- 41:35I'm not. No, I I get what you're saying,
- 41:37Dave. There's just different degrees
- 41:39of it. So it's like, you know, there's
- 41:41the Bob Dylan's, there's the Bruce Springsteen's.
- 41:44There's a period of time where, like, every white dude with an
- 41:47acoustic guitar was like, I got a story to tell, Yeah.
- 41:50OK, but Bruce Springsteen is like 20 years after Bob Dylan.
- 41:54No, but OK, that's true, but it's there.
- 41:56I would say they're still like they're cut from the same cloth
- 41:58at different moments in time. Right, you're right.
- 42:01Like Bruce Springsteen got the baton from Dylan for.
- 42:05Sure. And then who's?
- 42:06Oh my God, I can't believe I'm spacing on his name.
- 42:08He's one of like my favorites and he's from like he's another
- 42:12New England guy. Bon Jovi.
- 42:16No Bon Jovi, but you get the Bon Jovi's more like, no, I like and
- 42:21he tried to become Billy Joel. Billy Joel.
- 42:24Billy Joel is another one. So Billy Joel, Bruce
- 42:27Springsteen, they all fall into that like storyteller category.
- 42:30Well, Dylan was more like folk, true Springsteen, more rock.
- 42:35And Billy Joel. He's he's on the piano.
- 42:37He's the piano man. Yeah, no, exactly.
- 42:39No, exactly. But they're all like.
- 42:41You're right it. Didn't matter what instrument
- 42:43they were going to play, they were going to they had a story
- 42:45to tell and I'm going to tell you about it and it's going to
- 42:48be 69. It's going to be like a whole
- 42:51thing. It's a, you know, it's a boomer
- 42:53thing. I don't get it.
- 42:54I do get it with bully Joel, though.
- 42:55Bruce Springsteen is just too much for me.
- 42:57It's like I just see and I'm like that's someones dad.
- 43:00Like get like sit down dude. Like I don't know the boss and I
- 43:04know but that even the nickname I'm like come on man.
- 43:07It's like I just don't get that. It's like, it's like Andrew Dice
- 43:10Clay up there. No, I think it's because we
- 43:12missed it. You know, it's like, because
- 43:14like, for sure. And also Jimmy Ivine, producer
- 43:18of The Chronic and, you know, created Beats.
- 43:21He was his producer. So he produced Bruce Springsteen
- 43:24and then went from Springsteen to fucking Dre.
- 43:27No, and I mean, I obviously I get the impact, the cultural
- 43:30impact and significance of their music, just like I'm if they're
- 43:35all like there's certain flavors of ice cream I don't like in
- 43:37that genre. There's just some that I'd
- 43:39listen to Billy Joel over listening to Bruce Springsteen,
- 43:43right? Like that's just, I'm probably
- 43:44gonna listen to it or I'd probably listen to some Billy
- 43:46Joel songs over some Dylan songs.
- 43:48But there are Dylan songs that I really like.
- 43:50But there's a pretentiousness that comes with it that I was so
- 43:53always kind of got on my nerves that, you know, he was kind of
- 43:56notoriously an asshole. So when I watched those old
- 43:59interviews and people asking him questions and his brashness with
- 44:04people like, you know, for trying to understand what he's
- 44:07talking about, he's so pretentious about it.
- 44:10It's like he's too smart to even explain it to him.
- 44:13And that's kind of obnoxious. That's why I'm like, that's
- 44:15exhausting. Like I would get exhausted with
- 44:17that shit. Is that, you know, like and and
- 44:19not that like he's not talented, I mean.
- 44:21It's fucking Bruce Springsteen's doing like 3 1/2 four hour
- 44:23shows, dude. You know, it's like Speaking of
- 44:25getting exhausted. No for sure.
- 44:27Man, Billy, Billy Joel's getting drunk and driving his car into
- 44:30the side of the house. That happened.
- 44:32Yeah, but he's going to come out with a great piano song about
- 44:35that. True, and he's going to sell
- 44:37Morrison. Square Garden dude, the DUI.
- 44:41I hit the side of your house. I killed your neighbour's Kitty
- 44:47cat in the alley while he was chasing my mouse.
- 44:51That'd be epic. I had more and more alcohol.
- 45:03I walked my tab. I paid 20%.
- 45:07I forgot my car, my car and my phone.
- 45:13I went home and I blacked out and I made chicken and I almost
- 45:17burned down my home. That'd be epic.
- 45:22Like I would I want that song to come out.
- 45:24Please drop that. Don't, don't.
- 45:26Don't fucking test me bro. Yeah, anyways, I digress.
- 45:31Sorry, I just had a moment. That's pretty good.
- 45:35It rhymed. It was on beat.
- 45:36Come on, man. Someone synced that up.
- 45:39Someone synced that up to that actual song.
- 45:44You need a break. Sure, we don't have to.
- 45:52No, we can. We'll give you a little break,
- 45:53little baby boys break. We'll be back in a second and.
- 46:00Now we're back for the topics. All right, article #1 I'm going
- 46:07to try it on this screen now because this is a little bit
- 46:09different. This is from the AP.
- 46:13There's been big news. It keeps getting worse.
- 46:15But NBA starts review of policies after gambling related
- 46:19arrests to Terry Rozier, who is a current basketball player.
- 46:23He was investigated by the NBA for two years and cleared of any
- 46:28wrongdoing, but the FBI was investigating him.
- 46:32He was. He played the night before he
- 46:34got arrested and Chauncey Billups Hall of Fame or Hall of
- 46:38Fame basketball player, championship point guard and
- 46:42Finals MVP for the Detroit Pistons on the Bad Boys Pistons
- 46:46team that second go round with him.
- 46:48Ben Wallace, RIP Hamilton, legendary team, legendary
- 46:54defense. And he is currently or was
- 46:56currently the head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers.
- 47:00He had actually coached the night before and was arrested in
- 47:03his hotel. Both of them were arrested at
- 47:056:00 AM at the same, at the same time, same day, both in hotels.
- 47:10And then there was also with Dante Jones.
- 47:14I want to say Dante Jones. He got he used to play with
- 47:19LeBron. He was an assistant coach for
- 47:22the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was also arrested.
- 47:25This is by Tim Reynolds. The NBA, in reaction to the
- 47:28arrest Friday of Miami guard Terry Rozier, Portland coach
- 47:32Chauncey Billup last week for their alleged role in the
- 47:35gambling scenes, has started review of how the league can
- 47:38protect not just the integrity of the game, but its players and
- 47:41the coaches as well. Which is hilarious because when
- 47:45they were talking about this on air, they'd be like, this
- 47:48segment's brought to you by Hard Rock Bet Don't bet.
- 47:52These guys shouldn't bet. But this is brought to you by
- 47:54DraftKings. So they've kind of all made a
- 47:57deal with the legalized gambling.
- 48:00This is something that we're with gambling, which is
- 48:02something that was bound to happen.
- 48:04We did have the the Tim Donaghy stuff that went on in the early
- 48:092000s where he was a current NBA ref and it got caught fixing
- 48:16games, rigging games and passing off information for bets.
- 48:21But I continue. The league has made those
- 48:23revelations in a memo sent to all 30 teams, a copy of which
- 48:27was obtained by the AP. Given the spread of illegal
- 48:29betting to the majority of the United States or the the spread
- 48:33of legal betting to the majority of the United States, the
- 48:35reincurrence of integrity issues across sports, the emergence of
- 48:39novel betting formats and markets markets.
- 48:42This is an opportune time to carefully reassess how sports
- 48:45betting should be regulated and how sports leagues can best
- 48:49protect themselves, their players and their fame and their
- 48:52fans. Read the memo sent by the NBA.
- 48:56It's Damon Jones. Damon Jones.
- 48:58Sorry, Dante Jones. So Damon Jones, he is, you know,
- 49:04he some of them are caught up in two different things.
- 49:06One of them is illegal poker games where they're rigging
- 49:11these poker games. And the other one is giving
- 49:14information about players for over unders and giving
- 49:21information on who's playing, who's not playing.
- 49:23And people placing prop bets on those things like under 8 or
- 49:27placing bets on games. I think there was with Terry
- 49:30Rozier, there's a specific game where he went out with a toe
- 49:34injury and he had like 5 points and played for a little bit then
- 49:39took himself out of the game. And before he took himself out
- 49:43of the game, the play for him to be under 8 was like the bets for
- 49:47him to finish under 8 was insane.
- 49:51That's actually how it got red flagged.
- 49:53Meanwhile, the quest has The quest for answers has reached
- 49:57lawmakers in Washington with the Senate Monday following a
- 49:59request from a House committee last week.
- 50:01In speaking with the and asking the NBA for information, Senator
- 50:05Ted Cruz, the chairman of the Commerce Committee, and Maria
- 50:09Cantwell, a top Democrat on the panel.
- 50:11What information about how the NBA investigated and handles
- 50:15these allegations, as well as what steps the association is
- 50:19taking to maintain the public's trust.
- 50:21What were you going to say? I was going to say, So the poker
- 50:24games that they rigged, they had a X-ray table, Chauncey Billups
- 50:29did, and you would have house games of poker and then they had
- 50:32sunglasses that could see through the cards.
- 50:37So yeah, and this motherfucker Billups, who's like everybody's
- 50:42like, you know, he's like an upstanding guy, whatever, took
- 50:44$7,000,000 off of his homies in poker.
- 50:51And they're all like, connected to the mob, which is also crazy.
- 50:54Yeah, like 3. Different like fucking mafia
- 50:56families, the Gambinos. Like I didn't even know these
- 50:58fools were still around. Well, and what's interesting
- 51:01about it so, so this is where it is a specific question on the
- 51:05the game March, March 23rd, 2023.
- 51:08The committee understands that the investigation of why Rozier
- 51:11was cleared to play continue playing basketball.
- 51:14I thought they knew that he was still being investigated by the
- 51:17FBI, but they let him play. There's nearly three dozen
- 51:20people, most notably Billups and Rozier that were arrested.
- 51:24So where this really started from?
- 51:27This goes all the way back. Rozier was arrested because
- 51:30federal officials led to conspire with associates to help
- 51:33win bets. The charges are similar to the
- 51:35one from former Toronto player Jonte Porter, where he was
- 51:40banned from the league by Silver for life.
- 51:43That is Michael Porter, Junior's brother, who just recently won
- 51:48an NBA championship. And when the suspension came
- 51:52down, I'm pretty sure it was during the playoffs and he was
- 51:55questioned about it 'cause it was a really big deal.
- 51:57But he got caught doing this and got banned from the NBA for for
- 52:01life. And that's where some of these
- 52:04rumors on other people started to come from is that's when they
- 52:07really started to kind of pull the thread on this betting
- 52:10group. But yes, so originally they
- 52:13tried to make it sound like Phillips was just doing the
- 52:16legal card games, like that's, you know, not bad enough.
- 52:20But then it comes out he was also giving information to
- 52:23people for bets. Then Damon Jones was giving
- 52:28information in regards to LeBron.
- 52:30When LeBron was going to play, if he was or wasn't Anthony
- 52:33Davis, was he going to play? This is when he was in like kind
- 52:36of a coaching position with LeBron.
- 52:39He was giving information in regards to whether these guys
- 52:42are going to play. He is also has a notorious
- 52:45gambling problem. Some of these guys do.
- 52:48So they get put in these positions where they owe money,
- 52:51owe more than they're giving in, and then they start like selling
- 52:54information to like erase stats and take care of shit.
- 52:58It's really crazy. We've also seen a couple people
- 53:01in the NFL get suspended, Super Bowl champ Isaiah Rogers, who's
- 53:06now with the Vikings. But shout out Isaiah Rogers.
- 53:09He wound up on the Eagles. He was a pretty high draft pick,
- 53:12was playing very good for the Colts, very good for the
- 53:15Indianapolis Colts. They cut him because he got
- 53:18caught betting on the NFL and got suspended for a year.
- 53:22And the Eagles traded sat him on the bench.
- 53:24And then last year, the year was his, the year they won the Super
- 53:27Bowl was his first year back from being on suspension.
- 53:31There's also wide receiver. I can't remember why can't I
- 53:34remember his name? I wanted him so bad for a while.
- 53:36Took home on the Eagles. I believe he's on the Titans
- 53:40now. He all.
- 53:41There's a guy, he was on Atlanta.
- 53:42He got suspended for gambling for a year.
- 53:45Calvin. Calvin Ridley.
- 53:47Yeah, Calvin Ridley. He got suspended for a year for
- 53:51gambling and placing bets in the NFL through a friend, Shohan
- 53:57Otani, where he had all these. How dare you?
- 54:00But. He wasn't betting, but somebody
- 54:01close to him was stealing his money.
- 54:03His interpreter was taking his money and placing illegal bets
- 54:07and got in hot water. So kept stealing money and kept
- 54:10doing so. It's like there's, you know, as
- 54:12this betting has become more and more like if it's legal and
- 54:17there's new ways you can bet on all sorts of stupid shit that
- 54:20there's people that are, you know, but I'm sure this goes on
- 54:23more than we realize. Maybe not like the fixing, but
- 54:26giving information for people on prop bets and like stuff like
- 54:30that. Absolutely.
- 54:31Like, because if you could place a big bet, like, oh, Kittle's
- 54:34going to have less than 25 yards in this next game and, you know,
- 54:38three days in advance he's not going to play and he's listed as
- 54:40questionable, you could make quick, quick buck.
- 54:44I know, but it doesn't make sense with Chauncey.
- 54:46It's like, bro, how much money do you fucking need bro?
- 54:48Well, but that's where they would tell him like, look, you
- 54:51will give you, you know, $200,000 because we're going to
- 54:55field X amount of bets, you know, so it's really like
- 54:59they're selling, they're getting a lump sum for that information
- 55:01and then all the betters and wherever that goes to those
- 55:05people make their own money. But that's also a red flag
- 55:07because what's crazy is with, with all of these, all of these
- 55:11people that have got caught, they got caught because these
- 55:14platforms that regulate it red flag them and brought it to the
- 55:18NB as attention. Like, hey, a shit ton of people
- 55:21just placed a bunch of money on March 23rd, 2023 for Terry
- 55:26Rozier to be under eight points that game.
- 55:29It looks extremely suspicious. You guys should look into it.
- 55:33That's how they got caught. That's how that it initially
- 55:35started in the 1st place as they were, you know, fixing stuff,
- 55:38fixing stats for prop bets. And there'd be such an influx of
- 55:42these bats that it was overwhelming that they're like,
- 55:45whoa, what the fuck's that? And then everybody hits because
- 55:47they don't want to pay anybody. So they're pissed off that that
- 55:50many people got over on them. Come to find out these guys are
- 55:53actually rigging shit. It's pretty crazy.
- 55:57Pretty crazy that last week, NFL players of the NBAMLB
- 56:02Commissioner Rob Manfred saying the baseball is moving as fast
- 56:05as we can on a probe of two players in that sport.
- 56:09So I'm saying, like, you see, some of these guys are doing
- 56:11these stupid bets. Yet that Damon Jones not faces
- 56:15charges because officials said he tipped off betters about the
- 56:18healthy status of two Lakers players.
- 56:20I mean, if you read the indictments, it's like LeBron
- 56:23James and you're like, I know it's like they don't say
- 56:26Chauncey Billups. You know, he was arrested,
- 56:27though. And in the indictment, it's like
- 56:30former member of the Detroit Pistons, NBA champion in most
- 56:33recent recent Hall of Fame inductee.
- 56:36You're like, who was that? The motherfucker that just got
- 56:40inducted? Like, it's it.
- 56:42I don't know why they do that. Yeah.
- 56:46With sports betting now accompanying such a significant
- 56:48part of current sports bets landscape, every effort must be
- 56:52made to ensure that players, coaches and other NBA personnel
- 56:55are fully aware of the dire risks that gambling can impose
- 56:58upon their careers and livelihoods, that our injury
- 57:02disclosure rules are appropriate, and that players
- 57:05are protected from harassment from betters.
- 57:10Shit's crazy. This is.
- 57:11And then what's interesting is Stephen A Smith made a comment
- 57:16that most recently where he was saying like, hey, like, you
- 57:19know, he's like, they're going to come.
- 57:21This this administration is going to come after more people.
- 57:24There's a, it's a it's a predominantly black sport where
- 57:27people are very outspoken about his policies.
- 57:30They have been the whole time since Trump's been in the
- 57:32political scene, the NBA as a whole has been very like, you
- 57:35know, anti this like kind of MAGA movement, or at least their
- 57:38players are, and they're outspoken about it.
- 57:41The NBA is really good about letting the players express
- 57:45themselves. How you feel about that, that's
- 57:47your own prerogative. But in any type of workplace,
- 57:50it's important for people to be able to express themselves to
- 57:53some extent. And they have a platform with
- 57:56the NBA really chooses to use that to make statements.
- 58:00And they're saying there's no coincidence that now, like on
- 58:03the first couple days that the NBA is open, got big games and
- 58:07the breaking news for the NBA has got Cash Patel, the FBI
- 58:12director sitting there talking about the scandal, which is just
- 58:17kind of weird. Normally it's like a prosecutor,
- 58:19it's an attorney. So it's definitely like a
- 58:21statement to be made. And he was saying like, don't be
- 58:24shocked if they go after like the WNBA if he doesn't go after
- 58:28the NFL. But what he's saying is because
- 58:31they're so outspoken and they're they have, they don't shy away
- 58:35from speaking their disdain about the administration.
- 58:39Don't be shocked if he like comes after these people in some
- 58:42way, shape or form now. And they've been working on this
- 58:45for years. Apparently they've been working
- 58:47on this current case for about 2-3 years, just the FBI separate
- 58:54from the NBA. But then that's why they're
- 58:56questioning like, well, you cleared Terry Rozier to play,
- 58:58said he didn't do anything wrong and the FB is got all this
- 59:03fucking dirt on him. What are you talking about?
- 59:05So it's going to be pretty interesting.
- 59:07They're trying to get David Silver to testify, show up and
- 59:10testify before Congress and answer questions.
- 59:14So that's the NBA commissioner. Yeah, yeah.
- 59:17NBA commissioner. He's crazy looking.
- 59:21He's just like, doesn't look like he'd be.
- 59:22In charge of Adam Silver. Adam, sorry, Adam Silver.
- 59:25He looks he looks like holy shit, he looks like Slugworth
- 59:33dude from the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, like
- 59:38a Willy Wonka with Gene Wilder. Slugworth, his rival, who's not
- 59:42really his rival, but the dude who kind of looks like a Nazi
- 59:46and pops up on Charlie Bucket in the tunnel.
- 59:48And he's like, hey, give me, get me an everlasting gobstopper and
- 59:52bring it back to me. I'll give you like 1,000,000
- 59:55bucks. He's like flashing all this cash
- 59:56with this little kid in a tunnel.
- 59:58Nobody intervenes, Nobody's like, hey, why is this Nazi
- 1:00:01harassing that child 'cause he just looks like it.
- 1:00:03He looks like a kind of like a Nazi scientist type dude.
- 1:00:06Like, I don't know, his whole vibes are off.
- 1:00:08Maybe it's the little glasses and his weird suit, but that's
- 1:00:12kind of what out and silver looks like.
- 1:00:14He kind of looks like slug worth from.
- 1:00:17That's actually kind of terrifying.
- 1:00:21I feel like is usually pretty on point though.
- 1:00:23No, he's a chill dude. I just, it's just the bald with
- 1:00:25with the glasses. I think that's it.
- 1:00:27Yeah, it's just me kind of being a Dick and really wanted to talk
- 1:00:31about how terrifying Slugworth as a character is because he's
- 1:00:34pretty terrifying. That guy scared the shit out of
- 1:00:37me. That was the scariest part of
- 1:00:38the movie. I was like, don't go in the
- 1:00:39tunnel. Take the long way.
- 1:00:42Not this time. Now he's going to get you, dude.
- 1:00:44He's going to get you in that tunnel.
- 1:00:46C1 of these days. He ain't going to let you go.
- 1:00:49He's got the look in his eyes, dude.
- 1:00:52Go back and watch it. My favorite part sidebar because
- 1:00:56that's one of my favorite movies.
- 1:00:57It was when I was little and then when I got older and I was
- 1:00:59like smoking weed and shit. I used to love that because it
- 1:01:01was really funny. And there's a part in that
- 1:01:04movie. It's super stupid, but it's one
- 1:01:06of my favorites. I might have even talked about
- 1:01:09it. There's a part in that movie in
- 1:01:10the beginning before he goes in the Chocolate Factory before
- 1:01:14there's, you know, I got golden ticket dancing.
- 1:01:17There's a part where he's like walking home.
- 1:01:19I think it's after the candy shop with the candy man.
- 1:01:21And everyone's like vibing with this guy.
- 1:01:23I'm like, there's something off with him.
- 1:01:25He's just like giving away all this candy for free.
- 1:01:27Like what's he getting out of this?
- 1:01:29I don't trust this dude. He's walking home and he's like
- 1:01:33looking through the gate at the factory and he's just staring
- 1:01:37there like this beeline. He's like zoned out and it's
- 1:01:40like lighting up like W oh, you know, like spelling out Wonka.
- 1:01:44And he's looking through the bars and all of a sudden this
- 1:01:48crazy motherfucker walks up and he's got a push cart and it's
- 1:01:52got like cleavers and shit on it.
- 1:01:54It's got these like knives and all this random ass tools and
- 1:01:58he's like, what are you doing? And he's just like, holy shit.
- 1:02:01And he's like nobody ever comes in, nobody ever goes out and
- 1:02:05he's just like wandering around and then he just kind of like
- 1:02:08literally walks away staring at this kid like pushing a car to
- 1:02:11knives. It's very weird and it makes it
- 1:02:15has no purpose. But that's like my probably one
- 1:02:18of my favorite part of the movies because you could make a
- 1:02:20movie about that guy. Like I want to know more about
- 1:02:23the knife dude. Like what is he doing?
- 1:02:25Where is he coming from? Where is he going?
- 1:02:27Because it makes absolutely no sense.
- 1:02:30There's just a random dude with like swords on a cart that just
- 1:02:33rolls up on Charlie and just kind of starts harassing him and
- 1:02:36saying creepy shit and then just kind of walks off.
- 1:02:40And he's not terrified at all. But but he is scared of the Nazi
- 1:02:43in the tunnel. So I mean, you know, I can't
- 1:02:46I'll can't bat 1000 there, Charlie Bucket.
- 1:02:48But I'm telling you next time go back and watch it.
- 1:02:50If or just you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.
- 1:02:53And it was like, what the fuck was that?
- 1:02:54Like that makes absolutely no sense.
- 1:02:58That or the end where everything in his office is cut in half and
- 1:03:02it's like 1/2 of a pencil, half of a cup, half of a light.
- 1:03:06Like the cinematography of that's like fucking awesome
- 1:03:09because everything in that room, it is 1/2 of something.
- 1:03:12His chair is cut in half, but he's like everybody just beats
- 1:03:16up on Charlie. He's just harassing him and he's
- 1:03:18like get out of here, you lose kid, fuck off.
- 1:03:20And he's in that office. Every single thing in that room
- 1:03:23is cut in half. So if you ever go walk back and
- 1:03:26watch it, everything, it's like 1/2 of whatever it is.
- 1:03:29His cup is half of a cup with half of a pencil sticking in it
- 1:03:33on half of a desk with half of the lamp.
- 1:03:36It's pretty fucking trippy. So anyways, that's one of my
- 1:03:41favorite movies, man. And Gene Wilder for life.
- 1:03:43Like I didn't need that. What's it called for life?
- 1:03:46Not for life. He's dead.
- 1:03:48No, I didn't need that fucking Johnny Depp stupid shit.
- 1:03:52That one was dumb. Even though it was more like the
- 1:03:54book. I was like, I'd rather it be
- 1:03:56like the the Gene Wilder just pumping out bangers, dude.
- 1:04:00And those are the banger songs, dude.
- 1:04:03Or they're in the tunnel and he's like singing that rhyme and
- 1:04:07it's like going faster and faster.
- 1:04:09And then there's just on the side of the walls, there's like
- 1:04:11videos of chickens getting their heads cut off and there's like a
- 1:04:16a body with a centipede crawling all over this face.
- 1:04:19It's like fucked up. If you go, you're like.
- 1:04:21I remember like when I first saw that movie, I like, I was like,
- 1:04:24dude, I don't like this. I was like, this is the coolest
- 1:04:27shit I've ever seen. Like I was all about it and it
- 1:04:30was like, what are we like? And it's like, and I thought the
- 1:04:33knife guy was weird. And then you get to that tunnel
- 1:04:36and you're like, oh, they're finally going to go.
- 1:04:37And then it gets really weird really quick.
- 1:04:40And then it bounces back. Like I just, I prefer that.
- 1:04:43It's just, that's how I wish it was.
- 1:04:46Would you go into the Chocolate Factory?
- 1:04:49Not R Kelly's Chocolate Factory, because that is an album.
- 1:04:52Please don't enter there. I mean, I think you need a
- 1:04:55visitor's pass anyways or have to be on the list.
- 1:04:58But what did you go and do? Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.
- 1:05:04What's the upside? I mean, you have a one in like,
- 1:05:11I don't know, ten chance of not dying and being a chocolate
- 1:05:14tycoon. I I guess you really don't
- 1:05:18though, cause in the books you in Charlie the great glass
- 1:05:21elevator, the elevator doesn't stop and then you end up in
- 1:05:24outer space. So it's a little bit different.
- 1:05:27Like the sequel would be weird 'cause then you'd be in like
- 1:05:31outer fucking space. But yeah, I guess you'd win a
- 1:05:35Chocolate Factory. So if you if you went into a
- 1:05:37Chocolate Factory with A1 in 10 chance of being owning it or
- 1:05:43dying in some weird horrific food related way, would you do
- 1:05:47it? No, dude.
- 1:05:50I would fuck it. And like many little Trump's
- 1:05:54like, like, you know, like it seemed to be like a long.
- 1:05:59But you know that they're dumb, like one of the kids, like, I
- 1:06:02don't know shit. Augustus Gloop.
- 1:06:04No, everybody knew when Augustus, the same dude who ate
- 1:06:07the microphone when that guy's interviewing him and he eats the
- 1:06:10OR is that his dad? I'm sorry, his dad eats the
- 1:06:12microphone. Whatever.
- 1:06:13Everybody knew. He wasn't making out of that
- 1:06:15Candyland world. He walked in there and he just
- 1:06:18hit it. He hit it hard and nobody saw
- 1:06:20him. The whole song.
- 1:06:21He's not doing anything. He's not hanging out with Wonka.
- 1:06:24He's literally just like eating cream out of a giant mushroom
- 1:06:28and it's like shoving his face full of food.
- 1:06:30Everybody knew like that's one. So you know you're going to
- 1:06:33outlast that guy. You know you're going to outlast
- 1:06:35Farouq Assault. She's going to just have a a
- 1:06:38crash out and go down a chute. I mean, it's really like if you
- 1:06:43want to win and not get in trouble, you just like can't
- 1:06:45steal shit. That's really it.
- 1:06:48It's like North Korea. Yeah, yeah, OK.
- 1:06:52That kind of is. That kind of is.
- 1:06:54And then, like, you just disappear and nobody knows what
- 1:06:56happened to him. I don't know, man.
- 1:06:57He went up the chocolate tube. He grabbed a poster off the
- 1:07:00wall. They're doing experiments.
- 1:07:03They shrunk this kid. Dude, it was fucking crazy.
- 1:07:07They they shrunk him. And no, we don't know what to
- 1:07:11do. We're going to try to enlarge
- 1:07:13him. What was it?
- 1:07:13The Taffy room, bro? Yeah, take him to the Taffy.
- 1:07:16Chong UN Chong UN Chong. Would you free the Oompa
- 1:07:20Loompas? No bro, why not?
- 1:07:24I don't trust them dude. They're like carnies.
- 1:07:26Like retarded carnies. They're the small hands that
- 1:07:29smell like cabbage, probably. Whoa dude at that hard R hard.
- 1:07:33R. I might if there was a couple
- 1:07:36that were tight, I might bust a couple out.
- 1:07:38They'd be like cool homies maybe.
- 1:07:41Maybe like one of the taller ones?
- 1:07:43I don't want that on my conscious.
- 1:07:46He did save them though, from the Wang doodles and the
- 1:07:50Vermicious knids and all that even shit, evil shit on Lumpa
- 1:07:53land. So you think about it, he
- 1:07:55actually did them a favor, but they're totally like his slaves
- 1:07:57so it's kind of fucked up. And he makes them wear like
- 1:07:59weird ass outfits and shit and like you got wear these
- 1:08:02coveralls all day. Like starting to sound like like
- 1:08:05like the Florida like like curriculum and like high school
- 1:08:09was like slaves like it wasn't that bad.
- 1:08:12They like learned skills. They learned skills.
- 1:08:14Yeah, they learned skills, some of them.
- 1:08:17Got dinner? And some, against the wishes,
- 1:08:20were taught to read. They didn't tell anybody, but
- 1:08:24they could. Some of them, not most of them.
- 1:08:35Jim Crow was actually a dance. It wasn't.
- 1:08:39I'm just saying I don't know how you'd spin that.
- 1:08:42You don't. So they got it, they got it.
- 1:08:44They got it all wrong. That's an urban legend.
- 1:08:50Jim Crow was actually a person, a Negro League Baseball player.
- 1:08:56I could totally hear like Rhonda sent for Desantos saying that or
- 1:09:02RFK saying some shit like that. That sounds like something he
- 1:09:07would say just. And some people like, oh, wow, I
- 1:09:11know I need to study the Negro Leagues more.
- 1:09:13You know, that's really where it started.
- 1:09:15That's really where baseball started from those black people.
- 1:09:18We gave all those opportunities to live and work here.
- 1:09:21They created a game. And that's America's best
- 1:09:26article #2 from the BBC, from Crystal Hayes.
- 1:09:29Half of the the US states sued Trump administration over
- 1:09:34halting food stamps. This came out 10 hours hours
- 1:09:37ago. It was 6 hours when I put it on
- 1:09:38here. 1/2 of the US states have sued Trump administration over
- 1:09:42plans to halt funding for food aid use.
- 1:09:45Food aid used by more than 40 million low income families.
- 1:09:49The states hope to force the administration to use roughly 6
- 1:09:52billion Emergency Contingency Fund for the Supplemental
- 1:09:56Nutritional Assistance Program, or SNAP, also known as food
- 1:10:01stamps. The Department of Agriculture,
- 1:10:04which overseas SNAP, said it would not use it and allow funds
- 1:10:08to run dry in November, arguing the money money may need may be
- 1:10:12needed for emergencies such as natural disasters.
- 1:10:15Especially whenever we get rid of FEMA and defund FEMA.
- 1:10:19Republicans and Democrats have traded blame for the ongoing
- 1:10:22federal shutdown and there has not been any meaningful progress
- 1:10:26towards a new deal. We are 10 days away from
- 1:10:29breaking the record previously set by Trump for having the
- 1:10:32longest government shutdown in the history of this country.
- 1:10:34Country. Just a little sidebar.
- 1:10:37Bottom line, the wells when we run dry.
- 1:10:40The USDA said about SNAP benefits on their website.
- 1:10:44Crazy. The suit, led by Democratic
- 1:10:47attorney generals in 25 States and the District of Columbia,
- 1:10:51argues the administration not using the contingency funds
- 1:10:54would be unlawful and deprive millions of Americans from being
- 1:10:57able to afford groceries. To read two more things.
- 1:11:01The note they note it would mark the first time in the program's
- 1:11:04history the funds would not be doled out.
- 1:11:06Shutting off SNAP benefits will cause deterioration of public
- 1:11:09health and well-being, the lawsuit reads.
- 1:11:12The loss of SNAP benefits leads to food insecurities, hunger,
- 1:11:16malnutrition, which are associated with a numerous
- 1:11:19negative health outcomes for children such as poor
- 1:11:22concentration, decreased cognitive function, fatigue,
- 1:11:26depression and behavioral problems.
- 1:11:29Thoughts. I mean, it's just fucking
- 1:11:31insane, dude. And like that, like all those
- 1:11:33like dilatory effects like that you just read off.
- 1:11:39That's why, you know, like SNAP benefits like exists.
- 1:11:42It's not because they, you know, it's like the moral thing to do.
- 1:11:45It's just like it's cheaper to, you know, give people food that
- 1:11:50can't afford it than it is to fucking like, yeah, the the
- 1:11:55consequences of not doing so, you know?
- 1:11:59And look, are there, where are we?
- 1:12:01The states involved in the lawsuit are Arizona, RedState,
- 1:12:04California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii,
- 1:12:07Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts,
- 1:12:12Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, NY, North
- 1:12:17Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont,
- 1:12:21Washington and Wisconsin. What's crazy about this
- 1:12:25government shutdown? SNAP benefits and all that.
- 1:12:29Whenever we look at this board and you think about the most
- 1:12:31recent election that happened, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, North
- 1:12:36Carolina, Nevada, Minnesota, Michigan, some of these are
- 1:12:44important state Arizona states that.
- 1:12:47Are they're all swing states besides Minnesota?
- 1:12:49Yeah, they're all pretty much swing states, but Minnesota can
- 1:12:53kind of, we'll just say that they're the calls are coming
- 1:12:59from inside the house in Minnesota.
- 1:13:00They've done a great job of, you know, doing what they're doing.
- 1:13:03But they're with what their Supreme Court tries to do with
- 1:13:07all the other things that are embroiled in their own scandals
- 1:13:10in there because there is infighting not amongst
- 1:13:12Democrats, but I mean, we've seen them try to do all sorts of
- 1:13:15goofy shit over there. There's always a push and
- 1:13:17everyone that whole area is got. I kind of lumped Minnesota's the
- 1:13:21stand alone, but it could easily flip.
- 1:13:25It could easily flip. Yeah.
- 1:13:27I mean, it's like the blue walls, what they used to call
- 1:13:29it, like Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, But Minnesota, I
- 1:13:36don't know, you know, like Tim Walz and Jesse, the body of
- 1:13:40Ventura, you know where governor's there, But yeah.
- 1:13:45While Donald Trump parades around the world trying to
- 1:13:47repair the economic damage he's done with his incompetence, he's
- 1:13:51denying food to millions of Americans who will go hungry
- 1:13:53next month. Gavin Newsom, it's cruel and
- 1:13:56speaks of the basic lack of humanity.
- 1:13:59He doesn't care about people of this country or only himself.
- 1:14:03In responding to the lawsuit, the USDA blamed Democrats for
- 1:14:06fund for the fund running dry and that they needed to decide
- 1:14:09whether they want to hold out for the far left wing of the
- 1:14:12party or reopen the government so mothers, babies and
- 1:14:16vulnerable and most vulnerable among us can receive timely WIC
- 1:14:20and SNAP allotments. What is extremely disingenuous
- 1:14:28about this whole entire thing and what pisses me off whenever
- 1:14:30people talk about free school lunch?
- 1:14:35You know, I was recently at an event where there's lots of
- 1:14:37people that we knew and grew up with.
- 1:14:39It was great to see everybody. But one thing that frustrates me
- 1:14:42about this area, the mindset of it and thinking that people are
- 1:14:49free lunch is an entitlement for somebody.
- 1:14:53They do that so kids can eat food at fucking school.
- 1:14:57That's it. Like some, some parents can't
- 1:14:59afford to take their kid, but they're put enough money on
- 1:15:03their kids food card. The food at school, depending on
- 1:15:06where you go to, is not cheap. I guarantee you there's people
- 1:15:09that we were friends with, that we grew up with that got free
- 1:15:12lunches some fucking times because times were tight.
- 1:15:16It's not you. So it's frustrating to see
- 1:15:19somebody be like, yeah, I think we are entitled to fucking food.
- 1:15:23I think a human is allowed, is allowed to eat food and should
- 1:15:27it should that shouldn't being able to have access to food
- 1:15:32should not be a determining factor on if somebody lives or
- 1:15:35dies. If a kid's able to concentrate
- 1:15:37or school like their kids, man, Like it's not like this kids
- 1:15:39going to go work at the Dickey's factory and make it enough pants
- 1:15:43to go help go buy fucking lunchables.
- 1:15:46Like let the kid get a free sandwich.
- 1:15:48So when I hear these people talk about how it's a go, they're
- 1:15:51entitled or all we're giving shit.
- 1:15:53But the kids who need to eat food.
- 1:15:55And if you want kids to do better than their parents, if
- 1:15:58you want them to pick themselves up by their bootstraps and be
- 1:16:02better than their parents and maybe get off of benefits or
- 1:16:05whatever and whatever you think they need to do to be successful
- 1:16:09in their life, in your eyes, they got to eat food to to do
- 1:16:15that. They got to.
- 1:16:16In the in the richest country in the history of the fucking
- 1:16:19world, we can't like, you know, have every kid like be able to
- 1:16:23eat and then also like have healthcare.
- 1:16:26It is. And I know you said it's not
- 1:16:28like a morality thing, but it kind of is a morality.
- 1:16:31Thing no. It is like.
- 1:16:32I was like, it's yeah, yeah, I'm saying it's immoral to to deny
- 1:16:35children food. It's like I totally agree.
- 1:16:38With that it is, but I'm saying that's like like it's actually
- 1:16:43it's just like you know, like they say like this America first
- 1:16:45shit, it's like y'all like USAID like we're out in like these
- 1:16:49other countries like helping them be not because it like like
- 1:16:53it's the moral thing to do. It's because it helps the United
- 1:16:56States. It is America first for us to be
- 1:16:59out there like with our using our soft power to instill
- 1:17:03democratic values and help these countries out because then it
- 1:17:07ensures like a stable, peaceful environment for us to go do
- 1:17:10commerce and make fucking money. You know, it's like like
- 1:17:14stability is the key for us because all we're about is
- 1:17:17cashing checks. And if you want a vibrant
- 1:17:20society, middle class to help drive the economic engine of the
- 1:17:25country, you need kids be able to eat so they can learn, so
- 1:17:30they can be successful, productive people in society.
- 1:17:33And it's as simple as that. If you want to like, if you want
- 1:17:36to sell a Republican on it, you know.
- 1:17:38Dude, I've seen, I've had people, I've known people on my
- 1:17:42days that, you know, parents receive stat benefits.
- 1:17:47Their kids are working. The parents are working full
- 1:17:49time. And like, they rely on that.
- 1:17:52Like, yeah. No shit.
- 1:17:53Obviously, like a way that like people don't under that some
- 1:17:56people don't understand do some people abuse it?
- 1:17:58Sure. Do I think there should be some
- 1:18:00restrictions and like what people should be able to buy on
- 1:18:03that stuff? Yeah, I think, but.
- 1:18:04There is, but there are there already.
- 1:18:06Are no there. Also, by the way, by the way,
- 1:18:09it, it's also a stimulus to the economy because every single
- 1:18:13dollar of SNAP benefits gets spent because they need the SNAP
- 1:18:19benefits to eat and that goes into the economy.
- 1:18:23And then there's the multiplier effect.
- 1:18:24Every dollar spent on welfare or on food stamps, it it brings
- 1:18:31back $3 to the economy. So you're just fucking yourself
- 1:18:34like you're fucking the economy. You're fucking these people
- 1:18:36over. Yeah.
- 1:18:38Like you're fucking, you're fucking the fucking farmers
- 1:18:40over, you know, it's. Like what I'm just saying is
- 1:18:42like, I don't want it to be like I'm not saying that it shouldn't
- 1:18:44have some restrictions and it definitely shouldn't be a free
- 1:18:47for all, But in turn, I know I'm not saying it is.
- 1:18:51I'm not that's. A straw man.
- 1:18:53Some people I'm I'm just bringing up the straw man
- 1:18:56arguments that you'll hear from time to time that people make to
- 1:18:59try to morally justify denying children food because it's
- 1:19:05because that's exactly what it is, no matter what it is.
- 1:19:07Whatever your argument is the opposite of that.
- 1:19:10Like whatever your argument is for denying children food.
- 1:19:14Exactly. I thought you were the Christian
- 1:19:16party. Well, it's not even like not
- 1:19:17even to patronize, just party like it's like a if it's a
- 1:19:20morality thing. It doesn't matter if you're left
- 1:19:22or right. I'm sure there's Democrats who
- 1:19:23hate SNAP. I guarantee you there's some
- 1:19:26Democrats out there who are like, good, get rid of it.
- 1:19:28But there's no it takes all kinds to make the fucking world
- 1:19:31go round. So you can't be shocked when you
- 1:19:32meet somebody that does that where they contradict themselves
- 1:19:36in the same time. But no matter what, no matter
- 1:19:38where you fall in the spectrum, person to person, you can't deny
- 1:19:41a kid food. You watch the movie, Aladdin is
- 1:19:44a thief, a liar, huge scumbag POS who somehow gets the girl at
- 1:19:49the end. But there's a moment in the
- 1:19:51movie where he's not a total scumbag and it's one of his
- 1:19:54endearing moments. It's to make you like Aladdin in
- 1:19:57the beginning of the movie before he goes on some like fuck
- 1:20:00boy world tour and he steals a brunch of bread and there's a
- 1:20:04little girl and a little boy that have no fucking food and he
- 1:20:07gives them the bread. And it's like, oh shit, these
- 1:20:11kids need this food more than me.
- 1:20:13I have the means to go get more. These kids are starving here,
- 1:20:17take the bread. And they're like, thank you so
- 1:20:19much, 'cause they don't have the means to go do that.
- 1:20:21They're much of homeless little kids.
- 1:20:23These fucking right wingers already starve all the kids in
- 1:20:26Gaza so now they're like, they ran out of kids to starve so now
- 1:20:29they got to starve Americans. I mean, if you want to make it
- 1:20:34that inflammatory, that's fine. I'm just saying that it's
- 1:20:38there's something immoral about denying kids food and what we're
- 1:20:41seeing happen is extremely cruel.
- 1:20:44I saw somebody make a comment today where it's like we're
- 1:20:47punishing people for needing the government's help, and that's
- 1:20:52not right. I don't, I don't think that's.
- 1:20:55You know, it's worse than that too, because it's like we, we
- 1:20:58promise them the help like they're, they're, they have
- 1:21:04organize their lives to depend on this.
- 1:21:06And then you're just out of nowhere just taking it away from
- 1:21:12them because you want to fucking give tax breaks to a billion
- 1:21:16billionaires and defund those same people who are on SNAP
- 1:21:21benefits, take away money out of their healthcare.
- 1:21:23You know, it's like, which again, it is morally the right
- 1:21:27thing to do to give people healthcare.
- 1:21:29They can't afford it. However, if you want to sell a
- 1:21:32Republican on it, it's cheaper to give them healthcare and
- 1:21:36preventative care than to fucking pay for it them when
- 1:21:39they go to the emergency room, which is the most expensive type
- 1:21:42of care. So if you give them healthcare
- 1:21:44upfront, then there's they can like, you know, take care of
- 1:21:49like a little thing instead of returning into a big thing
- 1:21:52because they don't have insurance and they have to go to
- 1:21:54the fucking emergency room and then they can't pay it.
- 1:21:56And where does that go that go that that gets passed down to
- 1:21:58all everybody else. And that's where your fucking
- 1:22:00premiums are high. And now they're going to go even
- 1:22:03higher because they fucking got rid of the subsidies with
- 1:22:05Obamacare. They're trying.
- 1:22:07Yeah. They're yeah.
- 1:22:08No, they did do it. Well, I know, I know, I know, I
- 1:22:10know. So I mean the the shit is crazy.
- 1:22:13I don't think the Democrats cave yet because November 1st
- 1:22:16everybody's going to be getting notices in the fucking mail that
- 1:22:18their premiums are going up. My premium for my healthcare, I
- 1:22:23just got a notice it's going up over $100 a month next year.
- 1:22:30If this shit doesn't get fixed and which is just my premium for
- 1:22:36me to be able to get an appointment with the doctor to
- 1:22:38go pay a co-pay. It's just my table stakes to get
- 1:22:41in to see a doctor and then I still have to pay a co-pay, but
- 1:22:44it's going up over $100 a month, $1200 a year.
- 1:22:48You know, so that fucking Elon can get like a couple mil cut
- 1:22:52off his tax. You know, it's like that.
- 1:22:54He didn't even notice. Yeah, it's a it's frustrating
- 1:23:01and there is, it's not like it's, it's funny is they're
- 1:23:04like, ah, this Democrat program, he's Democrat.
- 1:23:06There's AI Wonder what percentage of those like 40 +
- 1:23:091,000,000 people that are losing their SNAP benefits voted for
- 1:23:12this. All of them.
- 1:23:15That's the fucking thing. Like, guess what?
- 1:23:17In California, we got a surplus. We're going to be able to expand
- 1:23:21the SNAP benefits, you know, like we're going to be able to
- 1:23:23cover it. But guess Mississippi is not.
- 1:23:25Kansas isn't. True at article #3 from MPRKERA
- 1:23:35Technology by Martin Kast went to opt out of AI.
- 1:23:39State labeling laws might help. I read this.
- 1:23:42I was like, this is like some boomer shit.
- 1:23:44I don't want to be a part of AI. That sounds like something like
- 1:23:47someone's grandpa would say. You know what I'm saying?
- 1:23:50I don't like AII don't. I've never met Allen Iverson, he
- 1:23:55was a punk. I never liked him.
- 1:23:58Oh, there's an MJ fan. Like, I feel like that's this,
- 1:24:00but it's top AI. Utah and California have passed
- 1:24:04laws requiring entities to disclose when they are when they
- 1:24:07use AI. More states are considering
- 1:24:09similar legislation. Proponents say labels make it
- 1:24:12easier for people who don't like AI to opt out of using it.
- 1:24:17They just, they just want to be able to know.
- 1:24:19Since the Utah Department of Converse executive Margaret
- 1:24:22Wooley Bussy Bussy who is implementing new state laws
- 1:24:27requiring state regulated businesses to disclose when they
- 1:24:30use AI with their customers. If that person wants to know if
- 1:24:33it's not a if it's a human or not, they can ask and the chop
- 1:24:37bout has to say. I mean, if you're talking about
- 1:24:40chatbot, I thought that was always not like a person.
- 1:24:43Like what are we talking about here?
- 1:24:44What do you mean? The paper clip on my computer
- 1:24:47that tells me what to do on Word isn't real?
- 1:24:50No, that's just an animation, grandpa.
- 1:24:52Like get off the computer and stop listening to Rush Limbaugh
- 1:24:55reruns. No Obama.
- 1:24:58Like kind of like this, like AI thought this was going to be
- 1:25:03something else for. So Open AI launched the video
- 1:25:08generating AI Sora, and you know what they said?
- 1:25:14They said that if you don't want 'cause like, people are just
- 1:25:17like making like. Crazy.
- 1:25:19Videos, videos, yeah, of, of like, you know, like Disney
- 1:25:21characters or just like anybody's likeness, you know,
- 1:25:24just like wild, wild ass W type shit like fucking Sam Altman
- 1:25:29over at CEO over at open AI, when they launched it said that
- 1:25:34if you don't want your likeness to be used in Sora, you can opt
- 1:25:39out. It's like, no, dude, that's not
- 1:25:43how this works. You don't like you don't get to
- 1:25:45like just use my copyrighted like like shit, unless I say,
- 1:25:50unless I go and tell you not to do it.
- 1:25:52It's you don't get to do it unless I tell you.
- 1:25:54You can, you fucking idiot. Like California has passed a
- 1:25:59similar law regarding chat box and chat bots in 2019.
- 1:26:03This year it expanded the disclosure rules requiring
- 1:26:05police departments to specify when they use AI products to
- 1:26:08help write incident reports. So this is what's interesting.
- 1:26:12I think AI in general, I think AI in general and police AI is
- 1:26:17specifically or a oh, sorry, that just reads really well.
- 1:26:22I think AI in general and police AI in specific really thrives in
- 1:26:27the shadows. It is most successful when
- 1:26:29people don't know it's being used it, says Matthew Guarelia,
- 1:26:38a senior product analyst, a senior policy analyst for the
- 1:26:41Electronic Frontier Foundation, which supported the new law.
- 1:26:45I think labeling and transparency is really the first
- 1:26:48step. As an example, he points out in
- 1:26:51San Francisco, which now requires all city departments to
- 1:26:54report publicly how and when they use AI, such as local.
- 1:26:58Such localized regulations are kind of are the kind of thing
- 1:27:01the Trump administration has tried to head off.
- 1:27:04White House AI czar David Sachs has referred to a state
- 1:27:08regulatory state regulatory frenzy that is damaging the
- 1:27:14startup ecosystem. Daniel Castro with with the
- 1:27:18import with the industry supported think tank Information
- 1:27:21Technology and Innovation Foundation says AI transparency
- 1:27:25could be good for markets and democracy, but it but it may
- 1:27:29slow innovation. You can think of them an
- 1:27:31electrician that wants to use AI to help communicate with his or
- 1:27:35her customers to answer queries about when they're available.
- 1:27:38Castro says if companies have to disclose they UA use AI, He says
- 1:27:43maybe that turns off some customers that don't really want
- 1:27:47to use it anymore. Well, OK, so give them the
- 1:27:49option, dude. They just want to use it and not
- 1:27:51have, you know, part of the issue is I think it's not just
- 1:27:55the thing itself, it's how quickly our lives have changed.
- 1:27:58There may be things that I would buy into if there were a lot
- 1:28:03more time to develop or for development and implementation.
- 1:28:08That was said by Kara Quinn, a home school teacher from Burm
- 1:28:13Bremerton, WA. Slowing down the spread of AI
- 1:28:16seems appealing. Who decided that?
- 1:28:19I don't get to read what another human being wrote.
- 1:28:22Who decides that this summary is actually what I think it what
- 1:28:26I'm going to think of their e-mail.
- 1:28:29I value my ability to think. I don't want it to be, I don't
- 1:28:32want to outsource it. So I mean, too late.
- 1:28:38Quinn's attitude to the to the AI catch caught the attention of
- 1:28:42her sister-in-law, Anne Elise Quinn, a supply chain analyst
- 1:28:46who lives in Washington, DC. She's been holding salons for
- 1:28:50friends and acquaintances who want to discuss the implications
- 1:28:54of AI and Kara. Quinn's objections to the
- 1:28:57technology inspired the Thing theme of the most recent
- 1:29:01session. How do we opt out if we want to?
- 1:29:04She asked. Or maybe people don't want to
- 1:29:06opt out, but they want to be consulted at the very least.
- 1:29:11I think it just depends on what we're talking about.
- 1:29:13Like if it's like I used AI to schedule your appointment with
- 1:29:19my office, like who gives a fucking shit?
- 1:29:21Like, but if it's like a commercial or a police report or
- 1:29:28like a reenactment of like a, you know, like if you're going
- 1:29:32to use AI, like there was this like trial where they used, we
- 1:29:35might have talked about it on the pod where they used like a
- 1:29:38kid was killed or, or something happened, like something
- 1:29:46happened, but they used the an AI to pretend like it was the
- 1:29:51kid who died in the trial. Oh yeah, and it was to say like
- 1:29:55his like final, like his like message to the the killer and it
- 1:30:00was super cringe. Yeah, so like.
- 1:30:03That's weird. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:30:04So like stuff like that, like, yeah.
- 1:30:06But like that I helped like the AI like helped me like like
- 1:30:12structure my e-mail get the fuck out of who gives a shit.
- 1:30:15Like, you know, it's like that's what, what, what a spell check
- 1:30:17then? Well, I think that it's just,
- 1:30:20yes, obviously, but in turn, I think what they're just saying
- 1:30:23is all these, it's a frenzy for regulation is what that one dude
- 1:30:27said, which will slow down innovation because however it's
- 1:30:30being. Applied that's exactly what
- 1:30:32these these fucking assholes with social media said, you
- 1:30:34know, it's like and like they're what they're saying now.
- 1:30:36It's like if we if we put regulations on AI, then the
- 1:30:39Chinese are going to beat us. And it's like.
- 1:30:42OK. So you're pro regulations on AI?
- 1:30:46Obviously. Well, OK, that's no, it's all
- 1:30:48mine. So what I'm just saying is like,
- 1:30:50obviously. I'm saying like the Sam Altman's
- 1:30:52and the Elon Musk's are going to try to sell this on that no
- 1:30:54regulation because it's going to hinder the the US like competing
- 1:30:58with the Chinese and AI. And they, they think there's,
- 1:31:01it's a 0 sum game that there's going to be really just one AI
- 1:31:04that wins. And it's like whoever gets there
- 1:31:06first. That's what all these
- 1:31:08motherfuckers are banking on. And so like so, but you know,
- 1:31:14shut the fuck up, OK? There can still be some fucking
- 1:31:17regulation. They're better.
- 1:31:19They're better be dude. Yeah, the whole thing is, like I
- 1:31:22said, it's pretty cringy because at the end of the day, we should
- 1:31:26be regulating that. That shouldn't be left
- 1:31:29unchecked. And with all the new ways it's
- 1:31:31being applied that everyone's trying to come up with, OK,
- 1:31:34well, the police are doing it. They should tell you or you're
- 1:31:36using it for this 'cause they're trying to cover all their base,
- 1:31:39'cause there's new applications for it all the time.
- 1:31:42So it's like they're just trying to keep up with it.
- 1:31:45And obviously people are seeing the cracks or the downfalls of
- 1:31:51or potential risks of having it be unregulated.
- 1:31:54And yeah, these dudes that are propping up the economy with
- 1:31:58this AI fucking bubble thing that's going on right now, we're
- 1:32:01holding on. As long as they're holding on by
- 1:32:02the seat of their pants, that's pretty much it.
- 1:32:05How long they can get away without it being checked, the
- 1:32:07better for them. And they have their very, that's
- 1:32:10the issue is they're all very short sighted when it comes to
- 1:32:13their money. And their goals are always like
- 1:32:16long term. So you get you can give you on
- 1:32:18credit for having like some sort of long term goal and like
- 1:32:21reaching that point and pushing from Tesla to SpaceX.
- 1:32:25And he's AI can't stand him, but at least he had like a long term
- 1:32:29vision. You see some of these guys are
- 1:32:31very short sighted to their money now and then it kind of
- 1:32:34blows up in their face. So we'll just see.
- 1:32:36Of course they don't want regulation.
- 1:32:37Of course they do. Right.
- 1:32:39I mean, that's just like the and that's what it is.
- 1:32:41It's like, and, and you know, corporations, for profit
- 1:32:45corporations, they are really, really good at one thing, making
- 1:32:50profit. And that's all we should trust
- 1:32:52them to do. And then we have, the government
- 1:32:56could step in and regulate it and tell them what they can and
- 1:32:58cannot do, you know, and that's just whatever.
- 1:33:02That's just, you know, fuck. These, it's like, it's like
- 1:33:04we're showing up when we're asking like Sam Altman or we're
- 1:33:09asking Elon, we're asking Peter Thiel with Palantir.
- 1:33:15When you're asking these fucking guys, you might as well, you
- 1:33:19might as well be driving up to like an illegal street race and
- 1:33:22asking them if they, if they think we should have speed
- 1:33:25limits. Like I'm pretty sure they, they,
- 1:33:29I know the answer to everybody. Like when I rolled up, I'm not
- 1:33:32like that's not, that's a stupid question.
- 1:33:34They would laugh at you and be like, dude, we're out of your
- 1:33:36fucking St. Yeah, and it's dumb.
- 1:33:38Joe Biden did sign an executive order.
- 1:33:40It was like a huge, like, I forget how many pages it was
- 1:33:43regulating AI. But The thing is, it's an
- 1:33:46executive order. So it can be undone by the a
- 1:33:49pres, the next president if they want.
- 1:33:51And of course, Trump, you know, he's like, fuck you.
- 1:33:53Biden got rid of it immediately. Anything he did, yeah, we're
- 1:33:56going to do anything. The guy who was the number two
- 1:34:00to the brown man I know and brown man in the suit.
- 1:34:03It was such mild regulation. It was like, yeah, like if you
- 1:34:05guys get to this minute, like many GPUs like this, like
- 1:34:09capacity of like compute, you have to just let the government
- 1:34:13know like the not saying like that they're going to regulate
- 1:34:17or anything. They're just saying like, yeah,
- 1:34:19if you and it was like something way far the fuck out, you know,
- 1:34:21like something we're not even close to yet.
- 1:34:23But, but if you get to this point, you've got to let us know
- 1:34:26because that's like, I'm almost like on the level of having like
- 1:34:28a nuke, you know, it's like, we just need to know about this
- 1:34:30like, so that we can like take a look at it.
- 1:34:33And like, and they were complaining about that shit, you
- 1:34:35know, and so it's like just like basic common sense shit they're
- 1:34:39going to complain about. And you just expect that like
- 1:34:42just assume that that's what's going to happen.
- 1:34:44And then, you know, but how many, how many regulations, how
- 1:34:48many regulations have been passed on social media since it
- 1:34:55launched O5? None. 00, none.
- 1:35:01And it's the same motherfucking players that are involved in
- 1:35:03this shit. Yeah, my good point.
- 1:35:08I don't want to AI Last article Atlas baby Atlas 31 dude 31
- 1:35:17Atlas to reveal itself to Earth on October 29th.
- 1:35:21Are we safe? How close will the interstellar
- 1:35:26object come to Earth? Canopy seen with the naked eye
- 1:35:32Visibility and observation tips. Got very light hearted at the
- 1:35:36end. 31 Atlas to reveal itself to Earth on October 29th.
- 1:35:40Are we safe? This question has caught the
- 1:35:42global attention as astronomers prepare for the interstellar
- 1:35:46comets. Get out of here economic times.
- 1:35:48I know you're struggling but chill out with the pop out pop
- 1:35:50up ads. The closest approach, the object
- 1:35:54officially named 31 Atlas, is an interstellar comet travelling
- 1:35:58from beyond our solar system. Scientists have studied it
- 1:36:01closely and understand its trajectory and comprehend
- 1:36:04composition. Even though they were like,
- 1:36:06where the fuck did this come from?
- 1:36:08But they're like, oh, but we've been tracking it since we
- 1:36:09noticed it was coming. Yeah.
- 1:36:14And a potential impact observation suggests that it
- 1:36:17poses no threat to Earth as it passes at a safe distance of
- 1:36:20167,000,000 miles. This rare cosmic event provides
- 1:36:26A valuable opportunity to learn more about interstellar objects
- 1:36:29and their origins. What do you think about Atlas
- 1:36:33bro? Straight tripping.
- 1:36:34Yeah, so it's already October 29th where you're at right now
- 1:36:38as we're recording this. Yeah, shit dog, you already got
- 1:36:42Atlas in your in your skies right now.
- 1:36:45That's how we do it, dude. And then I.
- 1:36:48And then I shrug. But this is like the the comment
- 1:36:51that like had a weird shape or something that.
- 1:36:53People. Yeah, weird shape people.
- 1:36:54Like, is it not a comet? Is it actually alien technology
- 1:36:59ancient astronaut theorizers believe?
- 1:37:03Yeah, but it's been coming and it's got now.
- 1:37:05It's got a tail coming off of it.
- 1:37:07It's got a high nickel composition.
- 1:37:09I mean, this is cool. This is going to be cool to kind
- 1:37:11of see. What did it say that you can see
- 1:37:14it? Like, I don't want to.
- 1:37:16Let's get to it poses no threat Poses the threat that come
- 1:37:20Romain in a safe distance, but is still observable through
- 1:37:23telescopes. For amateur astronomers, this
- 1:37:26offers a rare chance to see an object that has travelled across
- 1:37:29interstellar space. We'll probably see some pretty
- 1:37:32kick ass pictures of this thing. This one follows A hyperbolic
- 1:37:37trajectory, meaning it will only pass once before exiting into
- 1:37:41deep space for forever. So it's just like cruising
- 1:37:44through. Scientists believe it was
- 1:37:46ejected from another star system millions of years ago.
- 1:37:49Its brief appearance allows researchers to study how comets
- 1:37:52form in other regions of the Galaxy.
- 1:37:56Its composition, The nucleus of it, is estimated to be less than
- 1:37:591 kilometer wide. It is surrounded by a cloud of
- 1:38:02gas and dust known as a comma. The comet contains carbon
- 1:38:08dioxide, cyanide and atomic nickel vapor, giving it a unique
- 1:38:13glow under sunlight that's tight, sharp numbers.
- 1:38:17I know that the comet emits the unusual gases as it as it heats
- 1:38:22near the sun. The emissions could reveal more
- 1:38:24information about the materials that existed in the early
- 1:38:27formations of our solar system. Yeah, because for something to
- 1:38:30travel that far from deep in our solar system, even in our
- 1:38:37Galaxy, it would take so long to get here.
- 1:38:39That is like a snapshot in time of pre of like, you know,
- 1:38:46millions and millions of years ago, which is pretty cool.
- 1:38:49So this is like super rare. It's not like Haley's Comet or
- 1:38:52some shit like that. The reason why it's called three
- 1:38:53eyes 'cause it's the third inter stellar object or intergalactic
- 1:39:00or whatever Intergalactic it's the third yeah object that we've
- 1:39:05observed that's come from a different.
- 1:39:08Part region of the solar system. Yeah, yeah, no.
- 1:39:10'Cause not. Not it's it's from outside of
- 1:39:13our solar system. Yeah, 'cause we don't know where
- 1:39:15it came from. It's just like just.
- 1:39:17No, it's not. Yeah, it's not from here.
- 1:39:18Yeah, so that's pretty cool. Hopefully we get some sweet
- 1:39:22pics. What if it's an alien spaceship
- 1:39:27man? So I'm on NASA's website and it
- 1:39:30says it will be. It's will reach its closest
- 1:39:35point to the Sun around October 30th and just inside the orbit
- 1:39:45of Mars. I mean, the whole thing's pretty
- 1:39:53crazy and it's cool to have something like that, like swing
- 1:39:58through, you know? Yeah, and then it will reappear
- 1:40:00on the other side of the sun. In December, allowing for
- 1:40:05renewed observations. But it's also pretty scary that
- 1:40:13something could be just shutting out that far because like, if it
- 1:40:16was going to hit us and there's nothing we could do about it,
- 1:40:19we're just like, fucked. We could do something about it.
- 1:40:22160 fucking 1000 miles or 1,000,000 miles or whatever the
- 1:40:25fuck it said it was. No, I'm just if it was like, oh,
- 1:40:28it's going. To it's it's a 1 kilometer, 1
- 1:40:33kilometer wide. You don't think we could fuck
- 1:40:37that shit up if that we just hit an asteroid with a fucking
- 1:40:41satellite just to just to see if we could and we did first try.
- 1:40:44I don't. Know.
- 1:40:49Get Bruce Willie on it, Ben Affleck.
- 1:40:52No, Bruce, Not now Bruce Willy. He's just there for what?
- 1:40:55Support. He's a mascot.
- 1:40:57He ain't even talking anymore. He's got no lines.
- 1:40:59In the sequel, Bruce Willis is like unable.
- 1:41:02He's like unable speaker or anything.
- 1:41:04Yeah, it's crazy. It's like the saddest shit ever.
- 1:41:06Yeah, that's what my dad has. Not even like trying to make
- 1:41:09light of it, that's just like fucking terrible.
- 1:41:13And that whole thing, I mean, they were using and abusing him
- 1:41:16at the end, just like using him for any movie while he could
- 1:41:19still do them before he couldn't.
- 1:41:23Can't be seen with the naked eye.
- 1:41:25Brightness level between magnitude of 12 and 14, which
- 1:41:29means it cannot be seen without a telescope.
- 1:41:32He received a telescope of at least 8 inches aperture under
- 1:41:37dark skies to catch it. It's currently unobservable due
- 1:41:40to its position near the sun. Known for its solar conjunction.
- 1:41:44Is expected to reappear on the 25th.
- 1:41:47And the whole thing's pretty tight.
- 1:41:50I hope it's an alien spaceship, That would be cool as fuck.
- 1:41:55I roll with that. So the whole conspiracy theory
- 1:41:58community that's obsessed with that, There's Project Bluebeam,
- 1:42:02which is the whole concept of them creating a fake
- 1:42:05interstellar crisis to then unite everybody under one world
- 1:42:10government and 1 Fiat currency. I think I've talked about this
- 1:42:14before on the pod where that's like a whole thing, You know,
- 1:42:19this project Mockingbird, which is like it when it comes to like
- 1:42:22media and shit, this is like they're going to project
- 1:42:25spaceships with holograms into the sky and make everybody think
- 1:42:29that it's like Independence Day. Everyone freaks out, government
- 1:42:33takes control, they get, they get rid of whatever this problem
- 1:42:37is, AKA the holograms. And then everybody's like a
- 1:42:41slave to the government. So there's a whole swath of
- 1:42:44people in that community that are just freaking the fuck out.
- 1:42:48They're like, this is the beginning of it.
- 1:42:50It's lasers in the sky. It's like Jewish space lasers,
- 1:42:53but from Earth into space, not from space down to Earth.
- 1:42:58So it's like a reverse Marjorie Taylor Green.
- 1:43:01But then you see some of these new graphics and stuff.
- 1:43:04That's that's how my porn search history reverse Marjorie Taylor
- 1:43:07Green. That's a good like punk band
- 1:43:10too. We'll reverse Marjorie Taylor
- 1:43:13grade. I can just see that.
- 1:43:18But yeah, using holograms like you see at some of these
- 1:43:23football games now where they're projecting like a big ass
- 1:43:27fucking Raven in the sky and like we've gotten pretty, pretty
- 1:43:31technical. I mean, they have holograms.
- 1:43:33They're a Tupac hologram, like they.
- 1:43:35So it's just making that like bigger and projecting it.
- 1:43:38You could tie Harp into that, which is, you know, Jesse
- 1:43:41Ventura. Classic episode.
- 1:43:42Why won't you let me in? It's because it's a lockdown
- 1:43:47government facility, dude, and you're retired.
- 1:43:50Like get the fuck out of here. You got like 10 cameras with
- 1:43:52you. What is this?
- 1:43:53You want a tour? Like put the camera up.
- 1:43:55Let's go. So there's a lot of people who
- 1:43:58tie all that. So there's a whole swath of
- 1:44:00people that believe that this is the beginning of the one world
- 1:44:04government takeover, which I'm like, hey, let's go.
- 1:44:06That sounds tight. Let's roll with it.
- 1:44:08Let's see what happens. Mix it up, shake it up, stir the
- 1:44:10pot, whatever. But.
- 1:44:13Stir the Kool-aid. It's probably just like an
- 1:44:16interstellar space rock, but you know, it's like, no, it's shaped
- 1:44:20weird, man. It's got a weird cigar shape.
- 1:44:23It's a tube. I'm like, well, no.
- 1:44:25And like I can see. I'm sure they've already looked
- 1:44:29at it pretty closely with the technology that the big ass fuck
- 1:44:33off telescopes that they have. I'm pretty sure they've been
- 1:44:36looking at it a little bit deeper, but we can, you know,
- 1:44:41figure out if they have a clear picture of it.
- 1:44:43What is interesting to me though, is when shit like that
- 1:44:45does zoom by, we have so many satellites that take pictures
- 1:44:49like how if something is going to be coming into our
- 1:44:52trajectory, like into our solar system, is it, how do we not
- 1:44:55have like something like a Ring camera, like catching pics of
- 1:44:58the shit as it goes by? Have you ever wondered that?
- 1:45:01Like why don't like, shouldn't these satellites also be like
- 1:45:05intergalactic Ring cameras? Like someone's like in my our
- 1:45:08backyard, like, oh, this shit just cruise by Pluto.
- 1:45:10Be like what? What the fuck?
- 1:45:11Cruise by. And you can pull it up and watch
- 1:45:14a video and be like, what's that?
- 1:45:16You know, like why don't we have something like that?
- 1:45:17You know what I'm saying? Like what?
- 1:45:19What is I think? Most of the satellites are are
- 1:45:22focused inward towards Earth and like it's like the James Webb
- 1:45:26and then the Hubble and that you know, but they're like looking
- 1:45:32out pat like in the like that beginning of the universe.
- 1:45:36They're not like. Yeah, shit.
- 1:45:36Like, well, Hubble's like, do we even know where that is now?
- 1:45:39It's still working. They're like, oh, it's still.
- 1:45:42Oh, it's fine. But but it's just like if you
- 1:45:44see the, you see the comparisons of like Hubble's like pictures
- 1:45:46versus James Webb. It's like not even, it's not
- 1:45:49even close. James Webb is so much better.
- 1:45:51No, no, no, definitely. But Hubble's just like been
- 1:45:53cruising. It's just like.
- 1:45:56Yeah. But there's also other ones that
- 1:45:58are like in our solar system that are like that we launched
- 1:46:02in like 1970 and like we thought like we're done and like they
- 1:46:05just keep going and like taking pictures.
- 1:46:06But it's like not as like, I know I see what you're saying,
- 1:46:10but I mean, what do you like, do we not have pictures of this
- 1:46:12thing? No, not that I'm aware of.
- 1:46:14There might be like scans and shit, but it's like, damn dude,
- 1:46:16you'd think you'd have a fucking.
- 1:46:18Like I said, it's like some sort of Ring camera.
- 1:46:21Yeah. Point them in like on like the
- 1:46:24path. Is there like a alleyway?
- 1:46:26Like let's put a couple up, one by Neptune, one by Pluto.
- 1:46:30Just like facing in, like just like facing down like the
- 1:46:34hallway. I don't.
- 1:46:35Or like, I mean, I guess we're in space, so we can come from
- 1:46:38any direction. So maybe just like surround.
- 1:46:42I don't get it. It just makes sense.
- 1:46:44Like we don't even know what it looks like.
- 1:46:46I'm like, oh, great, I'm so glad all the cameras are turned the
- 1:46:49wrong direction. Perfect.
- 1:46:52They didn't see it coming. We're like shooting lasers in
- 1:46:55the sky and we're like, oh shit, we got a weird scan.
- 1:46:57Something pinged back. What is that?
- 1:46:59Oh, it was 9 pings. It means it's made of iron, like
- 1:47:03right. But there's like, but oh, it
- 1:47:04just went drove right by the camera.
- 1:47:06It was just facing the wrong way.
- 1:47:07Like we have like the shittiest, so like solar system, like
- 1:47:12security solar system ever. For how much shit we have
- 1:47:15floating out there, I just don't and we can.
- 1:47:18It just doesn't make sense. It's just a little confusing.
- 1:47:22Yeah, I guess I'd never really thought about it like, but like,
- 1:47:25put one on Mars. It just takes pictures like.
- 1:47:27Off the fucking side of Mars it is like, hey man.
- 1:47:30Like, I mean, like I said, I'm looking at it in a linear sense
- 1:47:34and the universe isn't linear. It's like, right.
- 1:47:37And this thing is, this thing is like going like fucking 100
- 1:47:40kilometers a second and. It's not going to pass by 160
- 1:47:44million miles away. So it's like it's not, it's like
- 1:47:47close in space standard. It's not actually close, no.
- 1:47:51Well, I know. So it's like let's get a not
- 1:47:54close picture in space. Or a close picture in fucking
- 1:47:58space standards, because it sounds like a goddamn selfie.
- 1:48:01We could take a selfie of this shit.
- 1:48:03I'm just saying, you think we'd have some probe things that like
- 1:48:05zoom around? I just want, you know, let's
- 1:48:07let's go, let's get let's take a look.
- 1:48:08Come on, man, I wanted to. I want to be able to see this
- 1:48:11shit in like real time. Not like, oh, this is a freeze
- 1:48:15frame of like, it's like see that red dot right there
- 1:48:18surrounded by all those weird blue lines that that's it right
- 1:48:22there, You know, like, oh, cool. Like I'm not nerding out hard
- 1:48:26enough, I guess. Like I want to see it.
- 1:48:31Yeah. I guess I just assumed that we
- 1:48:32had. There are pictures.
- 1:48:34Pixar It didn't happen. That's like when did like that's
- 1:48:37how it should be. Come with receipts.
- 1:48:39Come with receipts. That's how it should be with
- 1:48:41Space Pixar. It didn't happen.
- 1:48:42Speaking of. NASA, have you seen this shit
- 1:48:44where Trump fired? Elon's butt boy, who like went
- 1:48:47off on like the. Space rocket with him.
- 1:48:50He, he was the head of NASA, some like billionaire dude.
- 1:48:53And Trump fired him. And Trump's like, 'cause it's
- 1:48:57'cause he was friends with Elon. I didn't think that was
- 1:48:59appropriate. Cause Elon's in charge of
- 1:49:01SpaceX. It's a conflict of interest.
- 1:49:03Like he's ever cared about that. So then he put our boy Patrick
- 1:49:06Duffy, the former real world contestant who's our
- 1:49:10transportation secretary, put him in in charge.
- 1:49:14So now he's the secretary of transportation and the head of
- 1:49:17NASA. What are we doing?
- 1:49:23Y'all, I don't know, but we're not taking pictures of comments,
- 1:49:26that's what we're not doing and I'm kind of pissed.
- 1:49:28Bro. Like I'm sick of this shit.
- 1:49:32Come on man, use AI to do that. Make AI unregulated in space and
- 1:49:37just send that shit off. That sounds cool.
- 1:49:39As fuck you want. Unregulated AI, put it in space
- 1:49:42and bring me back some goddamn pictures.
- 1:49:44That's what I want. I want it like that.
- 1:49:47I'm still not convinced that we don't have pictures.
- 1:49:49I don't. I don't got to look at any of
- 1:49:50this more. I haven't seen.
- 1:49:52Anything. We'll see.
- 1:50:00I'm looking right now see and the pictures of it are shitty.
- 1:50:06Because it's moving too fast. OK, but there's still pictures.
- 1:50:12And then some of them have them. Are fake.
- 1:50:13Like look at this. Thing.
- 1:50:15Yeah, like this thing is just like a bunch of rainbow.
- 1:50:18Dots, what is that? No, no, I want to see the rock.
- 1:50:22And all the rest of them are like AI no man, ain't got shit,
- 1:50:26ain't got no, ain't got no still photo.
- 1:50:33It's all pixels and shit. Like the best we could do,
- 1:50:38we're. Up there with a goddamn Polaroid
- 1:50:40camera. You think it's a Trojan
- 1:50:42horseman? I hope so.
- 1:50:44That'll be cool as fuck dude. Let's mix it up.
- 1:50:47Fuck everybody's college. Debt.
- 1:50:49Let's just have a alien show up and mix it up.
- 1:50:52That's it. Boom.
- 1:50:55They come down, they evaporate Trump, then they evaporate
- 1:50:57Biden. We're like whoa, shit it.
- 1:50:59Doesn't matter who he's like we're about.
- 1:51:00Like that big, you know some Mars attack shit.
- 1:51:02Why not? My fence is pretty big now.
- 1:51:06I'll just hide, hide in my house.
- 1:51:08Got my little Fort. Fight off some aliens dude,
- 1:51:12let's go. Or vibe out with them.
- 1:51:18They'll be like, hey, I got some crazy pictures of space.
- 1:51:21Do you want to see him? I'm going to say hell yeah,
- 1:51:23let's go. They're still looking for
- 1:51:27pictures of this fucking thing. Well, yeah, I'm just.
- 1:51:29Like I'm like. I'm wondering what website I'm
- 1:51:33on Like like they're. Like there's a.
- 1:51:35Full on like like blown article like.
- 1:51:38Like seriously, considering that this is like a spacecraft, I'm
- 1:51:43telling you bro, people are going off the deep end with it.
- 1:51:48I see I got pictures all over the place man, they look like
- 1:51:53shit. But I mean.
- 1:52:01Did the Dodgers win? No, they lost.
- 1:52:06It's still good though. It's 22 now.
- 1:52:08So. Well that's all I got for
- 1:52:11articles man. What do you got?
- 1:52:15Meditate bitches. Make sure y'all like follow.
- 1:52:18Subscribe Share Leave a comment. Do whatever you feel.
- 1:52:22We always appreciate y'all listening.
- 1:52:24We're almost at 200 episodes. This is episode #198 gambling.
- 1:52:29The snap benefits. And if you don't have any like
- 1:52:32card games, I can get it on like let me know.
- 1:52:35Dude, that's tight. The pictures, dude the pictures
- 1:52:38of the cards with the glasses and shit are crazy.
- 1:52:41But also, if everybody was wearing the same glasses, I'd be
- 1:52:43like, hey, man, what the fuck, like or if you borrowed them,
- 1:52:46like, Hey, let me try these on. These are cool.
- 1:52:47And then everybody's card like you'd be like, hey, man, what
- 1:52:50the fuck? But chance you'd be like, you
- 1:52:51never touch a black man's glasses at a public touch.
- 1:52:54My glasses, I'm bald as hell. Don't.
- 1:52:56Touch My Glasses $7 million this.
- 1:52:58Dude took from his homies. That's fucked up.
- 1:53:02So fucked. Up, dude.
- 1:53:03And there's more coming. There's and.
- 1:53:05Why? Why are they all point guards?
- 1:53:12'Cause he was the point. God.
- 1:53:13And then he became the poker that was, that was Chris Paul.
- 1:53:16I know. Oh, Chris.
- 1:53:17Paul. Fuck Chris Paul.
- 1:53:18I hate Chris Paul. Oh, don't even get me.
- 1:53:20Started on. Everybody wins when they stop
- 1:53:23playing with Chris Paul. Look it up.
- 1:53:25Everybody wins a championship when they stop playing with
- 1:53:29Chris Paul. Why 'cause he's a bad teammate
- 1:53:31and he's a bad leader. He's a dirty ass basketball
- 1:53:35player. Boom, period.
- 1:53:37Point blank. Say it forever.
- 1:53:40I hope he never, ever wins an NBA championship.
- 1:53:44He doesn't win an NBA championship and the Celtics
- 1:53:47never win another one. While I'm alive I will die with
- 1:53:50the smile on my face because I hate Chris Paul punching people
- 1:53:54in the nuts all the time. Bruh he is worse than Draymond
- 1:53:58Green has ever been. He just gets a pass.
- 1:54:00He's like hell Jake from State Farm but get the fuck out of
- 1:54:03here dude. He ain't won nothing.
- 1:54:05He'll win anything in college, you know, win anything in the
- 1:54:08NBA. You're a clown.
- 1:54:11Sorry. He's like a not likable Dan
- 1:54:13Marino dude. Like he drives me insane.
- 1:54:16I hope he, I wish Dan Marino won his Olympic gold medalist.
- 1:54:21There's a lot of people who don't win if you think that.
- 1:54:23Anybody who says 0. My Olympic gold medal is more
- 1:54:26important than my NBA championship.
- 1:54:28Unless you're like Luca and you win with like Slovenia or you're
- 1:54:33Nikola Jokic or you like, unless you win with one of those small
- 1:54:36ass countries. Get out of here.
- 1:54:39That it's such a lie, that it's such a space.
- 1:54:41Yeah, that it's such a cop out for people who don't win an NBA
- 1:54:44championship. Bro he was coming over to play
- 1:54:47with. Kobe and Shaq or whatever it
- 1:54:48was, it got vetoed before David's turn.
- 1:54:51Probably, you know, good 'cause David Stern didn't like me
- 1:54:54there. He was like this.
- 1:54:54Clown, get him. Out of here his.
- 1:54:57Goofy ass goatee, he can't even shoot, acting all tough and now
- 1:55:00he's damn near 40. He's just chasing rings.
- 1:55:03I'm like keep chasing dude, keep chasing him like Carl Malone.
- 1:55:06Carl Malone was a garbage person and he never won an NBA
- 1:55:09championship. He did get a 13 year old girl
- 1:55:11pregnant when he was in college and was a grown ass man, but the
- 1:55:16universe didn't see fit for him to win an NBA championship.
- 1:55:22So I'm not saying that Chris Paul's done anything like that.
- 1:55:25I just don't. I just think he's a garbage
- 1:55:27basketball player and I would love it.
- 1:55:29I was mad when the Birdman won in the NBA championship.
- 1:55:32He was on a list of people I'd never wanted to win and he won
- 1:55:36and he won one with the Miami Heat.
- 1:55:40Then I felt bad for him when he got like catfished and all that
- 1:55:42weird shit and he was like catfished by while cheating on
- 1:55:45his wife and it was this big scandal.
- 1:55:47So I felt bad about that. I was like, OK, but I feel bad
- 1:55:50for Birdman, but he was good in NBA 2K.
- 1:55:54But other than that, it's true, that guy.
- 1:55:55But Chris Paul, we better go. You must be up to do a whole
- 1:56:00another hour. I'm about to get.
- 1:56:02Heated. I hate that dude.
- 1:56:08Be good, be safe. Stay out of trouble and as
