Rehoboth Beach’s new mayor is Susan Stewart, who decisively won with 632 votes, defeating Craig Their, Suzanne Goode, and William Raak. On the Board of Commissioners, Mark Saunders (852 votes) and Patrick Gossett (813 votes) are set to take over, narrowly edging out Jeffrey Goode. With 1,098 total voters — 624 in person and 474 via absentee or early voting — the town’s leadership is poised to shift hands at the September 18th meeting, where Stewart, Saunders, and Gossett will be officially sworn in.
