- Lucas: Hey Luna, welcome back to Learn Cantonese with Fexingo. Luna: Hey Lucas, I'm so ready. Last episode we were at the park talking about flowers, and I've been practicing. Lucas: Oh good. Did you remember the phrase '朵花好靚'? Luna: Yeah — 朵花好靚. The flower is beautiful. I love that one. Lucas: Perfect. Today we'll add a few more flower phrases. Let's say '朵花係黃色' — the flower is yellow. Luna: 朵花係黃色. So the flower is yellow. Got it. Lucas: Right. Now try it with red: 朵花係紅色. Luna: That's from an earlier episode, right? 朵花係紅色. Lucas: Exactly. So now we have a pattern. Let's do a quick scene. Imagine we're at the park and you see a yellow flower. Luna: I'll say: 呢朵花好靚, 朵花係黃色. Lucas: That's great. Now, what if you want to say you like that flower? Use '我鍾意呢朵花'. Luna: 我鍾意呢朵花. I like this flower. Lucas: Yep. And if you want to offer it to someone, say '你要唔要一朵' — do you want one? Luna: 你要唔要一朵. That's useful. So I can ask my friend if they want a flower. Lucas: Right. And if you want to pick one, you can say '我摘一朵花' — I'll pick a flower. Luna: 我摘一朵花. Oh, that's nice. But careful not to pick from the garden! Lucas: Good point. So let's practice all five. Repeat after me: 呢朵花好靚. Luna: 呢朵花好靚. Lucas: 朵花係黃色. Luna: 朵花係黃色. Lucas: 我鍾意呢朵花. Luna: 我鍾意呢朵花. Lucas: 你要唔要一朵. Luna: 你要唔要一朵. Lucas: 我摘一朵花. Luna: 我摘一朵花.
