- 0:04Speaker 1: NFL Game dey View is a production of the NFL
- 0:06Speaker 1: in partnership with iHeartRadio.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Everybody.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Welcome to Game Debut, present by Mercedes Men's Patrick Clavon
- 0:12Speaker 3: here with Greg Rosenthal and Cynthia Freeling Gods.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Week two is here ton for us to take all.
- 0:16Speaker 3: The things that we learned from week one, crumble it up,
- 0:19Speaker 3: Greg and throw it out the window.
- 0:20Speaker 4: I learned so much. Mostly I learned that my hot
- 0:23Speaker 4: streak with making the picks it's continuing. Let's take a look.
- 0:27Speaker 4: I'm just gonna I just can't wait to see it.
- 0:29Speaker 4: I want to suck right now.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Alight there, we don't really care how you're a week with.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Let's look at Greg's making the face and in the
- 0:38Speaker 3: crown as Greg goes thirteen and three, Cynthia twelve and four,
- 0:42Speaker 3: and I, yeah, I dropped the game eleven and five,
- 0:45Speaker 3: so we're trying to make a comeback.
- 0:47Speaker 5: Cynthia, I just made him to roll the dice like that.
- 0:50Speaker 4: I'm just saying, it's like, oh, let's talk about how
- 0:52Speaker 4: happy we are. This is what makes me happy. Look
- 0:54Speaker 4: at this, and there's like gonna be a spot in
- 0:56Speaker 4: my head that a crown is making an.
- 0:58Speaker 3: Okay, all right, so we're gonna get a new chapter here.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Speaking on rivalries is Greg Greg makes one with us
- 1:04Speaker 3: Burrow Mahomes rivalry this weekend. Joe's one of the only
- 1:07Speaker 3: humans on earth to a vested Patrick Mahomes consistently.
- 1:10Speaker 2: He started his career three and zero against him.
- 1:13Speaker 3: At one point, folks were even calling Arrowhead Burrowhead stations. However,
- 1:18Speaker 3: the last time they met, the nickname did not work
- 1:20Speaker 3: out case.
- 1:22Speaker 2: We'll go on to beat the Eagles in the Super
- 1:23Speaker 2: Bowl that year.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Now we're getting the next edition of Burrow Mahomes since
- 1:27Speaker 3: he trying to avoid yet another zero to two start
- 1:29Speaker 3: after losing to the Patriots in Week one, Greg, do
- 1:32Speaker 3: they bounce back against the Champs?
- 1:34Speaker 4: I mean, in a manner speaking, yes, they play better,
- 1:36Speaker 4: but they still lose. That's what matters to them. They
- 1:38Speaker 4: lose by three, twenty seven, twenty four, so a better effort,
- 1:41Speaker 4: but they're still going against Patrick Mahomes, who somehow keeps
- 1:44Speaker 4: getting better. How can the greatest quarterback of all time
- 1:48Speaker 4: through his six seven seasons starting get better. It's because
- 1:51Speaker 4: of his pocket movement. Now, I mean he always was
- 1:54Speaker 4: great at this, but now his feel of how to
- 1:57Speaker 4: avoid that first rusher, stay in the pocket and make
- 2:00Speaker 4: a great throw to me is getting to Tom Brady level.
- 2:03Speaker 4: So of course, yeah, he can make all the crazy
- 2:05Speaker 4: arm angles and the arm strength and all of that,
- 2:08Speaker 4: but his way to stay in the pocket and avoid
- 2:10Speaker 4: rushers to me is better than it's ever been. And
- 2:13Speaker 4: when he gets, you know, a ball batted back in
- 2:16Speaker 4: his face, he can make a big play like that.
- 2:17Speaker 4: That's just outrageous too. So it's it's everything that you want.
- 2:20Speaker 4: I think the Bengals defense comes out and makes him
- 2:24Speaker 4: work for it. But twenty seven to twenty four, you
- 2:26Speaker 4: just did an.
- 2:27Speaker 6: Entire thing on Patrick Mahomes and then you said it's
- 2:29Speaker 6: gonna be a close cheam.
- 2:30Speaker 5: You're like, what the Bengals are gonna do better?
- 2:31Speaker 6: And I agree in one particular area, how are my score?
- 2:34Speaker 6: Twenty seven nineteen means Patrick Mahomes will absolutely reign supreme.
- 2:38Speaker 5: But here's the thing we're not going to see this weekend.
- 2:40Speaker 5: They gave Patrick.
- 2:40Speaker 6: Mahomes single high safety covers.
- 2:42Speaker 5: What are you doing? Fourteen times?
- 2:45Speaker 6: Guess how many he completed. The answer is twelve for
- 2:47Speaker 6: one hundred and fifty one hers. I just wanted to
- 2:50Speaker 6: put it on your screen because the chances of lou
- 2:52Speaker 6: Anarumo rolling out with single high are like almost nothing,
- 2:55Speaker 6: like very close to zero. So let's just watch and
- 2:58Speaker 6: behold the beauty of the yack that can be earned
- 3:01Speaker 6: when you give Patrick Mahomes single high cut Rich say,
- 3:05Speaker 6: she writes seventy like seventy nine of his whatever hundred
- 3:08Speaker 6: yards were all, yeah, it was gorgeous.
- 3:12Speaker 5: We're not gonna see it this week.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Yes, gorgeous for Chiefs fans especially, But I think things
- 3:16Speaker 3: were especially bad for fans of the Cincinnati Bengals in
- 3:20Speaker 3: Week one against the New England Patriots, where.
- 3:22Speaker 2: It did not go well.
- 3:23Speaker 3: I think things will go significantly better, but I still
- 3:26Speaker 3: have a one point loss for.
- 3:28Speaker 2: The Cincinnati Bengals. But hey, Tanna.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Hudson is not gonna have the ball punched out on
- 3:32Speaker 3: the one inch line by Kyle Dugger.
- 3:34Speaker 2: That doesn't happen.
- 3:35Speaker 3: The game is entirely different the play before that, Mike
- 3:38Speaker 3: Getsicki had a touchdown bounce out of his hands when
- 3:41Speaker 3: he hit the ground in the corner of the end zone.
- 3:43Speaker 3: And then there's special team's mistakes where the ball gets
- 3:46Speaker 3: coughed up. The Patriots take over at the twenty five
- 3:50Speaker 3: yard line. All of these things happened, we would feel
- 3:53Speaker 3: so much different about Joe Burrow the Cincinnati Bengals have
- 3:56Speaker 3: they not happened, But we still feel the way we
- 3:59Speaker 3: do about the Kansas City Chiefs.
- 4:00Speaker 2: That's why it is a meme alert.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Come get us Cincinnati Bengals, who have started back to
- 4:05Speaker 3: back seasons according to this.
- 4:07Speaker 5: Yeah, little more than that one and eight.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not good. It's not good. Earth.
- 4:11Speaker 3: And So, while Mahomes and Burrow renegotiate their rivalry, Dak
- 4:15Speaker 3: Prescott just finished with his negotiation with the Cowboys, then
- 4:18Speaker 3: stepped out in the field took care of business. Last
- 4:19Speaker 3: weekend in Cleveland, he threw for one seventy nine and
- 4:22Speaker 3: a touchdown. Dallas rolled thirty three seventeen over the Browns
- 4:26Speaker 3: in the opener of The Cowboys now play host to
- 4:29Speaker 3: the Saints Sunday. They've won sixteen straight at home New Orleans,
- 4:33Speaker 3: coming off of forty seven to ten destruction.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Of the Panthers.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Does they do they carry the momentum Cynthia in.
- 4:40Speaker 2: And beat the Dallas Cowboys.
- 4:42Speaker 5: No Saints, No Dallas.
- 4:44Speaker 6: Dallas's momentum reigned supremier. What we don't know about momentum.
- 4:47Speaker 6: Ask Patrick about that later. Here twenty five to twenty one,
- 4:51Speaker 6: Dallas wins this game. We're gonna learn a little something
- 4:53Speaker 6: both about the Saints offense, which we got kind of
- 4:56Speaker 6: not great data on, and also the Cowboys defense, not
- 4:58Speaker 6: great data on them as well. But I want to
- 5:00Speaker 6: point something out. Derek Carr, congratulations, my friend. He had
- 5:04Speaker 6: exactly three passes under pressure completed, all three of them.
- 5:08Speaker 6: One was a quick pressure, by the way, one was
- 5:10Speaker 6: a touchdown. It was amazing. Do you know what his
- 5:12Speaker 6: passer rating was on under pressure passes last week?
- 5:16Speaker 5: One fifty eight point three perfec's pop perfect.
- 5:19Speaker 6: Not gonna happen this week, but I wanted to point
- 5:21Speaker 6: that out because it was fun. I liked his swagger.
- 5:23Speaker 6: The whole thing was great. Not gonna happen. We're gonna
- 5:26Speaker 6: actually see who both of these offense and defense, and
- 5:28Speaker 6: they have new coordinators, so we'll get actual data this
- 5:31Speaker 6: week on them. But fun to look back at those
- 5:33Speaker 6: three passes.
- 5:34Speaker 4: Yeah, I look at their offensive line. The Saints they
- 5:36Speaker 4: played so well, Like will they be able to protect car?
- 5:38Speaker 4: I don't know, but I trust the Saints defense this week.
- 5:41Speaker 4: That's why I got it close again. I keep talking
- 5:42Speaker 4: about the team I predict to lose, but Cowboys twenty
- 5:45Speaker 4: Saints seventeen. This Saints defense came to play, and yes,
- 5:49Speaker 4: it's gonna be a much tougher matchup, but this is
- 5:51Speaker 4: a veteran crew. I'd love to know how healthy their
- 5:54Speaker 4: secondary is. But Tyron Matthew practice on Thursday, and that's
- 5:58Speaker 4: a good sign for them. Their pass rush is going
- 6:01Speaker 4: to be better this year with Chase Young who had
- 6:03Speaker 4: a great first week, Alonte Taylor playing great in coverage.
- 6:06Speaker 4: They're also using him as a blitzer. It is a
- 6:09Speaker 4: veteran he has three.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Defense He's on pace for fifty six sss.
- 6:13Speaker 4: It's ridiculous time.
- 6:14Speaker 6: For the league lead in sacks and he's a defensive back.
- 6:17Speaker 4: It's one of the defenses that's great on every level.
- 6:20Speaker 4: So I feel bad for Dak Prescott. I think he's
- 6:22Speaker 4: having to play two of the best defenses in the
- 6:24Speaker 4: league back to back Browns and Saints. So the Saints
- 6:26Speaker 4: keep it closest is one of my favorite picks of
- 6:28Speaker 4: the week. And it's a close game.
- 6:30Speaker 2: All right.
- 6:31Speaker 3: One of the things that people could feel feel bad
- 6:33Speaker 3: from Dak Prescott about was just how easy the Packers
- 6:36Speaker 3: ran over the Dallas Cowboys in the playoffs. A real
- 6:38Speaker 3: need at linebacker, and a lot of that was because
- 6:41Speaker 3: in the second preseason game, the Marveon Overshawn they drafted
- 6:45Speaker 3: him out of Texas, believed he was gonna do a.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Lot toward his acl.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Well, he comes out in the opener and he's spectacular.
- 6:51Speaker 3: He only had one actual pass rush, but he had
- 6:54Speaker 3: multiple pressures because he was spying Deshaun Watson and he
- 6:58Speaker 3: was so fast that he got to Deshaun Watson before
- 7:01Speaker 3: he crossed a lot of scrimmage, so he gets pressure
- 7:03Speaker 3: and sacks on those plays.
- 7:05Speaker 2: He was incredible in the middle of the field.
- 7:07Speaker 3: I think it's gonna make Dallas' defense in the Mike
- 7:09Speaker 3: Zimmer defense, a whole lot better coming into.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Twenty twenty four. So that's why I've got a twenty
- 7:14Speaker 2: six to twenty two win for the Dallas Cowboys.
- 7:17Speaker 3: We're all on board, and if if we get memed
- 7:20Speaker 3: by folks in New Orleans, it means that they've won
- 7:23Speaker 3: the team.
- 7:23Speaker 4: I'm a fan, picked you all the cover. We meme
- 7:25Speaker 4: us for that too.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Yeah, we believe, and we know that you want to
- 7:28Speaker 3: believe as well. We got another monster matchup this weekend,
- 7:32Speaker 3: the Bucks and the Lions.
- 7:33Speaker 2: These teams met last year's NFC Divisional round. Jared Goff
- 7:38Speaker 2: toss two touchdowns, Baker threw a few.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Picks, and Cynthia's Lions came out on top thirty one
- 7:44Speaker 3: to twenty three. Baker is coming off of four touchdown
- 7:47Speaker 3: performance of his own last week against Washington, the Lions
- 7:50Speaker 3: squeaking one out against the Rams. How do you feel
- 7:53Speaker 3: about your Lions in this game, Cynthia?
- 7:55Speaker 6: I mean, why are we going through and having the
- 7:57Speaker 6: redo of the playoffs again in exact same order. It
- 8:00Speaker 6: just doesn't necessarily feel fair. But I think they're gonna
- 8:03Speaker 6: win one again. It's gonna be closer, though I have
- 8:06Speaker 6: twenty far ferocious twenty seven to twenty one.
- 8:13Speaker 5: Do it again? Can you do that?
- 8:14Speaker 4: Give us the limelight again?
- 8:17Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not like.
- 8:18Speaker 5: A really hungry line.
- 8:19Speaker 6: Maybe need to change my score a little bit, but
- 8:21Speaker 6: I'm looking at the opportunity here for a guy who
- 8:24Speaker 6: we saw the electric coach said that he knows how
- 8:28Speaker 6: to handle success.
- 8:29Speaker 5: He knows that it's going to be okay. Well, you
- 8:31Speaker 5: know what, we also know that Jamis and Williams is
- 8:34Speaker 5: going to be Okay.
- 8:34Speaker 6: He watched Xavier Worthy run the football on Thursday end
- 8:37Speaker 6: and they're like, hey, you know what, I see your
- 8:39Speaker 6: Xavier Worthy, and I'm gonna give you Jamison Williams. And
- 8:42Speaker 6: I'm actually going to have him more run faster miles
- 8:44Speaker 6: per hour than Xavier Worthy in this one particular week,
- 8:48Speaker 6: which is a highly scientific study over twenty one miles
- 8:50Speaker 6: an hour. Look, I'm just saying he's arrived. He should
- 8:53Speaker 6: be talked in that speedy ilk. Perhaps the Lions have
- 8:55Speaker 6: found something here.
- 8:56Speaker 4: He's the man. And if when you watch the tape
- 8:58Speaker 4: on him, he gets out and blacks too even for
- 9:00Speaker 4: a small guy like as a receiver, he blocks you
- 9:02Speaker 4: know who else blacks well, Tristan Wurfs. I'm going to
- 9:05Speaker 4: be watching this Tristan wors versus Aiden Hutchinson matchup. I
- 9:08Speaker 4: have the Lions winning this game thirty to twenty four.
- 9:12Speaker 4: But one of the reasons I have the Bucks scoring
- 9:14Speaker 4: so many points in this game and keeping it close
- 9:16Speaker 4: enough is because they have a great offensive line and
- 9:19Speaker 4: a great left tackle in Tristan Worse. Aiden Hudginson, one
- 9:23Speaker 4: of the best pass rushers in the league coming off
- 9:25Speaker 4: just an absolutely fantastic performance. He actually did quite well
- 9:28Speaker 4: against worse in the playoff game in this matchup a
- 9:32Speaker 4: year ago, and yet I just think it's gonna be
- 9:34Speaker 4: top notch football. These are two teams that have a
- 9:37Speaker 4: lot of continuity. I think, two of the best teams
- 9:39Speaker 4: in the NFC. At first, I had the Lions covering
- 9:41Speaker 4: and I thought, you know, that's disrespectful. This Bucks team
- 9:44Speaker 4: looked awesome a week ago. I think it's back and
- 9:46Speaker 4: forth a lot of points in this game.
- 9:48Speaker 3: My belief has shifted as well because coming in even
- 9:50Speaker 3: when we had our meeting today, guys, I had the
- 9:53Speaker 3: Tampa Bay Buccaneers winning this game, but then I realized, no,
- 9:57Speaker 3: Antoine Winfield, Junior. It's just so tough because Todd Bowles's
- 10:00Speaker 3: defense was a good reason that I made this pick originally,
- 10:04Speaker 3: the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and what they were able to do,
- 10:06Speaker 3: especially in the run game, because Detroit's run game was
- 10:09Speaker 3: so good down the stretch against the Los Angeles Rams.
- 10:12Speaker 3: But it's hard to just wipe away one of the
- 10:16Speaker 3: best safeties in the entire NFL. And the fact that
- 10:18Speaker 3: he's out now, potentially for multiple weeks, it caused me
- 10:22Speaker 3: to reconsider and it's just tough to take a team
- 10:24Speaker 3: that lost to this team in the playoffs back in
- 10:28Speaker 3: January to come in and get an upset in Detroit. Well,
- 10:31Speaker 3: I mean, how disappointed can we really be?
- 10:33Speaker 4: We're all wanting to pick up a game on you.
- 10:35Speaker 4: I didn't see that.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Greg is ruth almost as ruthless as are.
- 10:39Speaker 5: Also said that talks smacked to the viewers. Oh yeah,
- 10:42Speaker 5: well yeah.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Like, okay, okay, he's unruly.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Coming up, we got more unruly Greg picking games, including
- 10:49Speaker 3: Sunday nighter between CJ. Stroud and Caleb Williams. Are the
- 10:53Speaker 3: Bears ever going to score an offensive touchdown? Find out
- 10:56Speaker 3: if we think so? Next on game debut, it is
- 10:59Speaker 3: time from the Drive to Excellence presented by Mercedes Bens
- 11:02Speaker 3: Bears Texans. On Sunday in h down, we got this
- 11:05Speaker 3: year's top pick in Caleb Williams taking on last year's
- 11:08Speaker 3: Rookie of the Year in CJ.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Stroud. How do you see this quarterback battle going on
- 11:12Speaker 2: Sunday night?
- 11:12Speaker 4: I think it's gonna be a fun one. I think
- 11:14Speaker 4: the Texans win twenty seven twenty. Both quarterbacks play well.
- 11:17Speaker 4: Caleb Williams bounces back and gets a couple of touchdowns,
- 11:19Speaker 4: but he did struggle a week ago. What concerned me
- 11:22Speaker 4: most were the missthrows when he was protected. He was
- 11:26Speaker 4: three of thirteen when he had over two and a
- 11:28Speaker 4: half seconds to throw, and so sometimes he saw open
- 11:31Speaker 4: receivers and he didn't hit him, and it's him figuring out.
- 11:34Speaker 4: I think at the pro level, when do I get
- 11:37Speaker 4: rid of the ball on time? That's what we want
- 11:39Speaker 4: to do more often, and when do I just hold
- 11:41Speaker 4: on to it and try to make a play. The
- 11:43Speaker 4: interior pressure was a lot last week from the Tennessee Titans,
- 11:47Speaker 4: and so the Bears offensive line needs to be better
- 11:50Speaker 4: in front of Caleb Williams so that he can make
- 11:53Speaker 4: more places. I think he does this week, but it's
- 11:54Speaker 4: not enough.
- 11:55Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean it was a great start and that
- 11:57Speaker 6: defense was absolutely electric. So I'm giving the Bears defensive
- 12:00Speaker 6: respect here too. With my model, I have twenty five
- 12:03Speaker 6: to twenty as my final score. Houston takes this one
- 12:06Speaker 6: because CJ. Stroud has such varying results against pressure. He
- 12:10Speaker 6: can handle a little bit of volatility. So he got
- 12:12Speaker 6: sacked four times, but he also completed seven of nine
- 12:15Speaker 6: under pressure for over one hundred yards, so we know
- 12:18Speaker 6: that he has this opportunity to kind of take the
- 12:21Speaker 6: next play, even after being pressured, and make it into something.
- 12:24Speaker 6: But the other thing that was really nice was Joe
- 12:26Speaker 6: Mixon really showed up and that helps mitigate some of
- 12:29Speaker 6: this volatility. The best formula to win is to have
- 12:32Speaker 6: a strong defense and a strong run game. So the
- 12:34Speaker 6: advantage here goes to the Texans on both of those regards.
- 12:38Speaker 2: I agree, I've also got a Texans win.
- 12:40Speaker 5: Are we all memes so far?
- 12:41Speaker 2: Yeah, we're all memes. This is a meme.
- 12:42Speaker 5: Addition, were the same person, I promise turning it to.
- 12:45Speaker 4: Greg, it'd be a great looking person.
- 12:47Speaker 2: We're gonna separate in just a bit.
- 12:50Speaker 3: But speaking of separation, Stefan Diggs got all of his targets.
- 12:53Speaker 2: All six of his targets from CJ. Stroud were within
- 12:57Speaker 2: ten are yards. He had two touchdowns out of that.
- 12:59Speaker 3: I'm not saying all steph out Diggs is old and
- 13:01Speaker 3: bad now, but I think his ability to read the
- 13:04Speaker 3: zones and find the gaps and be kind of possession.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Is not a bad word in this instance.
- 13:10Speaker 3: While Nico Collins and Tank Dell can be on the
- 13:12Speaker 3: outside doing all those explosive things, Stefan Diggs provides an
- 13:17Speaker 3: opportunity to gets that Barry Good Bears defense, who I
- 13:19Speaker 3: do think keeps it close. But the Texans just really
- 13:22Speaker 3: good right now again, meme away as Caleb and CJ
- 13:26Speaker 3: former number one overall as well as number two overall picks.
- 13:30Speaker 2: What about a number three overall pick? That's ballin' right now?
- 13:34Speaker 2: Sam Donald Gregg, well, what about him?
- 13:37Speaker 3: Alan is now in the Donald hive, buzzin' in Greg's
- 13:40Speaker 3: ear right now?
- 13:41Speaker 2: So far enough after what he did against the Giants?
- 13:44Speaker 3: Will they be able to slow down the forty nine
- 13:46Speaker 3: ers juggernaut Sunday though, Cynthia, how slow slows?
- 13:49Speaker 6: I have kind of a significant San Francisco wins eight
- 13:52Speaker 6: to nineteen. I love Sam Darnald. I feel bad I
- 13:55Speaker 6: just took all the air. I deflated the Sam Donald balloon.
- 13:58Speaker 5: I'm sorry.
- 13:59Speaker 6: I still love him, but I want to talk about
- 14:01Speaker 6: the lying lie.
- 14:01Speaker 5: Who lies?
- 14:02Speaker 6: That is the coach of San Francisco forty nine ers.
- 14:05Speaker 6: Oh man, it is to make every running back. He
- 14:08Speaker 6: is the mightest touch for running backs. We thought it
- 14:11Speaker 6: was gonna be Christian McCaffrey until literally the last minute
- 14:14Speaker 6: before they had to tell us who's inactive and who's active.
- 14:17Speaker 6: But you know what, you know, it didn't matter who
- 14:19Speaker 6: was running the ball because Jordan Mason had just an
- 14:21Speaker 6: electric day. He made the Jets defense look like they
- 14:24Speaker 6: had never played run defense before. This was just such
- 14:27Speaker 6: a really really clinic on how to all the different
- 14:31Speaker 6: types of runs.
- 14:31Speaker 5: It wasn't even just.
- 14:32Speaker 6: One run where they were exploiting. It was kind of
- 14:34Speaker 6: all of the entire menu of runs was available to them. So,
- 14:38Speaker 6: you know, look, Kyle Shannan doesn't know us anything. So
- 14:41Speaker 6: it's a joke when I call him a lying liar
- 14:42Speaker 6: who lies, but he never tells us anything ahead of time.
- 14:45Speaker 6: So the liang liar who lies strikes again, and yet
- 14:48Speaker 6: might's touched on the running back one time.
- 14:49Speaker 3: My favorite Kyle Shanahan is he like, I don't know
- 14:52Speaker 3: if any of us are going to be here Sunday,
- 14:53Speaker 3: but I have an idea.
- 14:54Speaker 5: It doesn't know. That's actually not, that's true.
- 14:57Speaker 2: One person who will be there.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Because we thought Jordan Mason played great, the defense played great,
- 15:02Speaker 3: but eighteen eighteen forty nine ers points on that win
- 15:06Speaker 3: against the Jets came off of the foot of Jake
- 15:08Speaker 3: Moody six field goals, six for six for.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Jake Moody, which I think is such a weapon. And
- 15:15Speaker 2: now this era of the.
- 15:19Speaker 3: Kickoff changes that we've had the dynamic kickoff, the word
- 15:22Speaker 3: escaped me unlike Jake Moody's field goals finding between the crossbars.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Here the field position change is going up.
- 15:30Speaker 3: And if you can get in Jake Moody's range and
- 15:31Speaker 3: he's gonna hit field goals, Greg, it becomes even tougher
- 15:34Speaker 3: for even Sam Donald in this revenge game to come
- 15:37Speaker 3: in and get the hive buzzin it.
- 15:39Speaker 4: I mean, what a bunch of upsets today. We first
- 15:41Speaker 4: we have claybn talking momentum, and now we got him
- 15:43Speaker 4: talking kickers. I like, second block of this show, we
- 15:46Speaker 4: have forty nine ers winning, but it's not by that much.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Oh I would actually like to make it even closer.
- 15:51Speaker 4: Now that line was moving. Bikings keep it close because
- 15:54Speaker 4: of their run game in Aaron Jones, Sam Darnald, just
- 15:57Speaker 4: don't make mistakes and hand the ball off to Aaron Jones.
- 16:00Speaker 4: I can't believe the Packers let this guy get away
- 16:02Speaker 4: from them five to ten yard runs last week. So
- 16:05Speaker 4: Jordan Mason was great, you know who was even better?
- 16:08Speaker 4: Aaron Jones second in the NFL in rushing yards over
- 16:12Speaker 4: expected a lot of tough runs like this one where
- 16:14Speaker 4: he's carrying those giants in their khakis. I mean, you
- 16:18Speaker 4: knew they were gonna lose when they put those uniforms on.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Give me a break. Aaron Jones was incredible, though, and
- 16:23Speaker 4: I think that's the way you can keep it close
- 16:25Speaker 4: against the forty nine Ers Beirs.
- 16:27Speaker 2: They were celebrating the existence of the franchise.
- 16:29Speaker 4: Greg, I mean, you invited all those legends. You're gonna
- 16:32Speaker 4: watch Lawrence Taylor, watch this team stink it up. I mean,
- 16:35Speaker 4: give me a break.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Maybe Babe LT.
- 16:37Speaker 3: Got out of there by there was the pick six
- 16:39Speaker 3: by Andrew Ginkles. Monday night, Kirk Cousins and the Falcons
- 16:43Speaker 3: head to Philadelphia. Atlanta's offense looked like it was stuck,
- 16:46Speaker 3: rendering the loss of the Steelers with absolutely nothing to
- 16:50Speaker 3: gain in the second half last week.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Do they bounce back against the Eagles?
- 16:53Speaker 4: Greg, they do not. I mean, the Eagles are Cynthia's
- 16:57Speaker 4: Super Bowl pick, which I love. I have them winning
- 16:59Speaker 4: twenty six to fourteen. But I'm gonna go negative here.
- 17:02Speaker 4: It's like an attack ad during political season. Kirk Couttins
- 17:04Speaker 4: couldn't move last week. I can't pick a guy who
- 17:07Speaker 4: can't move. This was a guy who played his very
- 17:10Speaker 4: best using the play action pass like thirty plus percent
- 17:14Speaker 4: when he was in Minnesota. They didn't do it once
- 17:17Speaker 4: last week because he couldn't move. Now, I'm sure this
- 17:20Speaker 4: week they hear the chatter they'll get him outside the pocket.
- 17:22Speaker 4: Maybe it'll be proven wrong, but last week he looked
- 17:25Speaker 4: like a quarterback that shouldn't have been playing. They have
- 17:28Speaker 4: another quarterback on this team, Michael Pennix. Maybe they should
- 17:31Speaker 4: be playing him until I see something better. I'm not
- 17:34Speaker 4: taking the Falcons any week, much less against a good
- 17:36Speaker 4: team like the Eagles.
- 17:37Speaker 3: It would just make a lot of sense to have
- 17:39Speaker 3: the young guy play until the veteran who's coming off
- 17:41Speaker 3: of a severe injury.
- 17:43Speaker 2: And a repair on it until he could actually play.
- 17:46Speaker 2: I also have the Philadelphia.
- 17:48Speaker 3: Eagles, and because of it, it's a lot of the
- 17:50Speaker 3: same thing that the reason we weren't picking the Eagles
- 17:53Speaker 3: late last season, and that's because they've got answers to
- 17:55Speaker 3: the blitz.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Now.
- 17:56Speaker 3: The Packers didn't necessarily overwhelm Jalen Hurts with a lot
- 18:00Speaker 3: of double A gap stuff but when they set four,
- 18:02Speaker 3: five times six a couple times, guys in pressures Jalen
- 18:07Speaker 3: Looketalm Cool had quick answers to everything. That is something
- 18:10Speaker 3: that we did not see last year as the offense
- 18:13Speaker 3: kind of fell apart. I think that he can handle
- 18:15Speaker 3: the pressure and I've got a seven point win for
- 18:18Speaker 3: the bird.
- 18:18Speaker 6: Cynthia, Well, I think I'm probably the biggest different thing here. Mate. Yes,
- 18:23Speaker 6: Philadelphia wins this one. Twenty seventy eighteen. Still getting used
- 18:27Speaker 6: to this new way of talking, you know, it's really interesting.
- 18:29Speaker 6: I want to talk about Saquon Barkley, not just because
- 18:31Speaker 6: he ended up in the end zone three times, but
- 18:34Speaker 6: we did see some problems on that center to quarterback exchange, communication,
- 18:39Speaker 6: et cetera.
- 18:40Speaker 5: However, when you have a guy like Saquon, you can.
- 18:43Speaker 6: Mitigate some of those kind of learning curve issues as
- 18:46Speaker 6: the O line settles. So if you're an Eagles fan,
- 18:48Speaker 6: and I know all Eagles fans are the most passionate
- 18:51Speaker 6: humans on the planet, they will tell you they're Eagles
- 18:53Speaker 6: fans from miles away.
- 18:55Speaker 5: You're gonna be okay with that on line.
- 18:56Speaker 6: I know it's you're not gonna replace Jason Kelsey, but
- 18:59Speaker 6: things will be okay. Maybe not so much with a
- 19:01Speaker 6: tush push, but it is going to be okay because
- 19:03Speaker 6: you've got squads there instead.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Where those folks, it's echoe.
- 19:08Speaker 5: I'm telling you there.
- 19:09Speaker 6: You can hear them down the hall, around the corner
- 19:12Speaker 6: twelve miles from here.
- 19:12Speaker 2: It's all just bouncing off the canyon walls.
- 19:15Speaker 3: It's time for quick fix here on game day you
- 19:17Speaker 3: the Browns and the Jags, both looking to bounce back
- 19:20Speaker 3: after disappointing week ones.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Ohen one against Owen one. Who becomes one in one great.
- 19:25Speaker 4: The Jacksonville Jaguars and their offensive Rookie of the Year candidate,
- 19:29Speaker 4: Brian Thomas Junior. This kid was robbed. They gave Jaden
- 19:33Speaker 4: Daniels didn't even have a good week. Rookie of the
- 19:36Speaker 4: Year this week, I would have given it to Brian
- 19:37Speaker 4: Thomas Junior. Four for forty two in a touchdown. Also
- 19:40Speaker 4: had a long pass interference, also opening it up for
- 19:43Speaker 4: his teammates. He just moves different. Sometimes you don't need
- 19:46Speaker 4: to be an expert when it comes to the scouting.
- 19:48Speaker 4: This guy is bigger and faster and more agile than
- 19:52Speaker 4: almost anyone on the planet. I think he's going to
- 19:54Speaker 4: have an outstanding season.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Our locks up solid trend continues for the show. Lets
- 19:58Speaker 3: see if we switch it up Cynthia, the Raiders and
- 20:01Speaker 3: the Ravens Baltimore eight and a half, the biggest spread
- 20:04Speaker 3: of the week. Is there any chance that Gardner and
- 20:06Speaker 3: company come in there and wipe that off the board.
- 20:09Speaker 5: There is always a chance. This is a National Football League.
- 20:11Speaker 6: But I have twenty seven six to seventeen, so I'm
- 20:14Speaker 6: not saying the chance is very strong. I we usually
- 20:17Speaker 6: save our you know, write this down for the end
- 20:19Speaker 6: of the show, but write this down. Derek Henry's gonna
- 20:21Speaker 6: end up in the end zone. Why because of the
- 20:24Speaker 6: way he runs and how much yards after contact he delivers.
- 20:27Speaker 6: I understand that Max Crosby is the best edge rusher
- 20:30Speaker 6: against the run edge.
- 20:32Speaker 5: Just run to the other side.
- 20:33Speaker 6: That's the strategy right here, run away from Max Crosby.
- 20:36Speaker 5: But realistically speaking, get in the end zone. We're going
- 20:39Speaker 5: to see it all right.
- 20:40Speaker 3: This keeps happening, And let's go to Jim Harboll's team.
- 20:43Speaker 3: They took care of business last week across the street.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Now they head to Caroline, picking Carolina. You I'm not
- 20:48Speaker 3: taking the Carolina Panthers I've got the Chargers winning by
- 20:52Speaker 3: just one because I think they keep the ball on
- 20:54Speaker 3: the ground as they should if you saw the Panthers
- 20:56Speaker 3: Saints game. But the thing that I want to talk
- 20:59Speaker 3: about is pressure. Iky Akwanu gave up six of them,
- 21:03Speaker 3: six of them against Chase Young in the opener.
- 21:06Speaker 2: That is a huge issue.
- 21:08Speaker 3: Now that because we've got Bosa and Mac coming in,
- 21:13Speaker 3: it does.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Not look good. We are all on the Chargers.
- 21:16Speaker 3: I have at eighteen to seventeen win at Bank of
- 21:19Speaker 3: America Stadium coming on both.
- 21:21Speaker 6: We should have talked about Lad McConkie, by the way,
- 21:23Speaker 6: who also gets in the other I'm writing everything down.
- 21:26Speaker 6: Lad McConkie. Another trip to the end zone in this one.
- 21:28Speaker 6: I think it justin Herbert looks a little better throwing downfield.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Just say, oh, an improvement because past ten yards it
- 21:34Speaker 3: was not good in Week one.
- 21:35Speaker 2: But that's real change.
- 21:37Speaker 3: It's time to seize the season presented by Caesar Sportsbook.
- 21:40Speaker 3: As we're looking at some first touchdown score odds between
- 21:44Speaker 3: that Patriots and Seahawks matchup that's going to be going
- 21:47Speaker 3: on in Foxborough.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Kenny Walker the third is the favorite.
- 21:51Speaker 3: Ramandre Stevenson right after that then DK, Tyler Lockett and
- 21:54Speaker 3: Jackson Smith in JIGBA. Let's discuss the Greg Bull Gino
- 22:00Speaker 3: against the Patriots. It puts Greg in the dilemma between
- 22:03Speaker 3: what he he loves and what he believes.
- 22:06Speaker 2: How do you discide?
- 22:07Speaker 4: How about it's between what I love and what I love.
- 22:10Speaker 4: I mean, I love Geno, I love the Patriots, but
- 22:12Speaker 4: they're at different stages of development. I'm making the Seahawks
- 22:15Speaker 4: in this game twenty to thirteen because there's two great
- 22:17Speaker 4: defenses in this game, but there's only one great quarterback.
- 22:21Speaker 4: That's Seattle. So let's talk about the Seahawks defense a
- 22:24Speaker 4: ton of pressure last week because of the guys in
- 22:27Speaker 4: the back end playing so well. Bo Nicks looks up
- 22:31Speaker 4: and he doesn't see anyone open in this game. Tarik
- 22:34Speaker 4: Woolan had seven throws against him last week. He gave
- 22:37Speaker 4: up seventeen yards and had that interception. Everything I heard
- 22:41Speaker 4: about their training camp was he was on a mission.
- 22:44Speaker 4: You put him and Devin Witherspoon in the same secondary
- 22:46Speaker 4: and you're just not gonna find enough open receivers. I
- 22:49Speaker 4: think it makes the Patriots offense very one dimensional. The
- 22:52Speaker 4: Seahawks stopped the run and they get a close ugly win.
- 22:55Speaker 4: Not revenge for Malcolm Butler, but something.
- 22:58Speaker 6: This is like choosing between which child you like best
- 23:00Speaker 6: and you just have it.
- 23:01Speaker 4: You can't do that. They just better on different days.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Got it? Okay, Well I.
- 23:05Speaker 6: Don't have that problem my math, says Seattle wins this
- 23:08Speaker 6: one twenty two sixteen.
- 23:09Speaker 5: I want to point out a difference something.
- 23:11Speaker 6: We were seeing a new trick in Geno Smith's bag,
- 23:14Speaker 6: and that's pre snap motion.
- 23:15Speaker 5: We saw the most pre snap mode.
- 23:17Speaker 6: I thought you were going to talk about that, because
- 23:18Speaker 6: I know you love Gino and you love pre snap motion.
- 23:21Speaker 6: Ten different ten different pre snap motions, three different guys
- 23:25Speaker 6: did that. Also about seventy percent of plays we saw it.
- 23:28Speaker 6: It made the O line look like all world O alignment,
- 23:31Speaker 6: which I love that, you know, that's my favorite. And
- 23:33Speaker 6: we saw a lot of new wrinkles unfolds, so it
- 23:36Speaker 6: really makes the offense just totally different. We didn't know
- 23:39Speaker 6: what we're going to see from Ryan Grebb. I think
- 23:40Speaker 6: we're starting to see what that is going to be,
- 23:44Speaker 6: pre snap motion, play action fun stuff.
- 23:45Speaker 5: Wrinkles and folds be modern.
- 23:47Speaker 4: They are it.
- 23:48Speaker 3: One thing that kept them from looking modern was the
- 23:50Speaker 3: fact that they gave up two safeties in the first
- 23:53Speaker 3: half of the Denver Broncos. It could have been an
- 23:55Speaker 3: ugly loss for the Seattle Seahawks in the opener if
- 23:57Speaker 3: not for the efforts of one Kenneth Walker the third
- 24:00Speaker 3: who were keeping an eye on because this week he.
- 24:03Speaker 2: Was dealing with an oblique injury.
- 24:04Speaker 3: But five point two yards per carry when things weren't
- 24:08Speaker 3: necessarily working well, Kenny Walker came out, goes down the.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Sideline, flies with the d N zone there and it
- 24:14Speaker 2: was no looking back.
- 24:15Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 24:16Speaker 2: Is that to burst the explosiveness?
- 24:18Speaker 3: Such a fun football player to watch, looking forward to,
- 24:21Speaker 3: say in the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Yet again, we're all on meme watch here. My gosh,
- 24:28Speaker 2: everybody's taking were the Seattle Seahawks were triplets?
- 24:32Speaker 3: Yep, mimous kids, and not one of you is better,
- 24:35Speaker 3: although Greg does have a daily ranking apparently that we
- 24:38Speaker 3: need to catch up.

- 25:14Speaker 2: The Jets and the Titans.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Aaron Rodgers coming off a disappointing game against the forty
- 25:18Speaker 3: nine Ers. Meanwhile, the Titans blew a seventeen point lead,
- 25:21Speaker 3: just the calamity of eras last week against the Bears.
- 25:24Speaker 3: I like the Jets to rebound here, but only by
- 25:27Speaker 3: one point twenty one to twenty. We saw it in
- 25:30Speaker 3: the first half against the San Francisco forty nine Ers,
- 25:33Speaker 3: the pairing of Garrett Wilson and Aaron Rodgers that finally
- 25:36Speaker 3: came into fruition as Aaron Rodgers was able to play
- 25:40Speaker 3: more than a few snaps and he had the ball
- 25:43Speaker 3: down the sideline over diomed or no, It's like, oh wow,
- 25:45Speaker 3: this is gonna be all game. It turns out was
- 25:47Speaker 3: only a drive. I know the Fantasy World. There's some
- 25:49Speaker 3: Allen Lazar Troopers out there. One of those touchdowns was
- 25:52Speaker 3: absolute garbage tub. This is Garrett Wilson's passing offense. But
- 25:56Speaker 3: the Titans at home a scrapping team. The defense played great.
- 25:59Speaker 3: That's why I've only got a one point win for
- 26:01Speaker 3: the Jets.
- 26:02Speaker 6: Wasn't the other one on a free play too? Where
- 26:04Speaker 6: and Rodgers just like a monster? Anyways, I have the
- 26:06Speaker 6: Jets winning this one to twenty four to nineteen. Will Levis,
- 26:10Speaker 6: we love those deep passes, they're fun to watch. However,
- 26:13Speaker 6: they create a ton of volatility. This is an area
- 26:16Speaker 6: where you're not gonna be able to target the Jets
- 26:18Speaker 6: defense over the passes. The beginning of last season, so
- 26:21Speaker 6: last season plus one game, they've allowed exactly ten twenty
- 26:24Speaker 6: plus air yard passes. So it takes away one of
- 26:27Speaker 6: the things that Will Levis like makes him so volatile.
- 26:30Speaker 6: It doesn't it's just not going to work in this game.
- 26:32Speaker 6: So my score is largely derived from the fact that
- 26:35Speaker 6: this is not going to be the game where we
- 26:37Speaker 6: see Will Levis just to connect and look like that
- 26:39Speaker 6: first time out last year when he just had his
- 26:41Speaker 6: first game, and we're.
- 26:41Speaker 5: Like, well, we're all wrong about Will Levis.
- 26:43Speaker 6: I think it's going to be something where the defense
- 26:45Speaker 6: has an advantage.
- 26:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I think both defenses end up playing well in
- 26:50Speaker 4: this game. But uh, I'm just going just Greg, just GREGA. Finally,
- 26:54Speaker 4: let's go Titans twenty three to twenty. Let's put the
- 26:57Speaker 4: Jets on fraud watch. Just Greg got it right last
- 27:00Speaker 4: week with the Steelers. Gotta be right once again because
- 27:03Speaker 4: of the running game for the Titans. Hey, how did
- 27:07Speaker 4: the forty nine ers beat the Jets last week? I
- 27:09Speaker 4: run it down their throat? What did Bill Belichick say
- 27:12Speaker 4: this week on one of his many media appearances. I
- 27:14Speaker 4: can't remember which one. He said, they'd always try to
- 27:16Speaker 4: make plays when Jonathan Franklin Myers and Bryce huffword on
- 27:20Speaker 4: the field. Two great players for the Jets that are
- 27:21Speaker 4: no longer there. Maybe they're not as good upfront. You
- 27:24Speaker 4: know who's better uprunt? The Titans. They inherit this Callahans.
- 27:28Speaker 4: You know, Brian brings his dad Bill there, and suddenly
- 27:31Speaker 4: you got a really cohesive running game. Tony Pollard looked
- 27:34Speaker 4: out standing, looked like he had more burst than he
- 27:36Speaker 4: had before. And there were holes there. So I think
- 27:38Speaker 4: they run it down the Jets throat to and Ozer.
- 27:41Speaker 4: Y're zeroing too rather for the Jets.
- 27:42Speaker 2: All right?
- 27:43Speaker 3: So and people slept on Tony Pollard was hurt last year,
- 27:45Speaker 3: saw the burstls there, but the Norad radar tracking Santa
- 27:49Speaker 3: Frog flying to Florin Park for Greg Rosehal Let's do
- 27:53Speaker 3: the math Cynthiya for on this particular game. Aaron Rodgers
- 27:57Speaker 3: threw for one hundred and sixty seven yards in Week one?
- 27:59Speaker 3: Will he throw for over or under two twenty five against.
- 28:03Speaker 2: The Titan on Sunday?
- 28:04Speaker 6: Okay? So the Titans secondary is where we thought there
- 28:07Speaker 6: were some questions, and we saw Aaron Rodgers not necessarily
- 28:10Speaker 6: look like himself last week.
- 28:12Speaker 5: How does the math that out?
- 28:13Speaker 6: The number is two sixteen, that's the number I have
- 28:15Speaker 6: forecast for him, which is lower than two twenty five.
- 28:18Speaker 6: Why I think they have to run the ball to
- 28:20Speaker 6: control the football. I think both teams are far more
- 28:23Speaker 6: proficient in the run game. This one stays on the ground.
- 28:25Speaker 6: It stays a lower game, which means not enough opportunities
- 28:28Speaker 6: for Rogers to throw.
- 28:29Speaker 5: To hit that number?
- 28:30Speaker 4: Right when? If the Titans end the running the ball
- 28:33Speaker 4: as well as I think they will, that's just one
- 28:35Speaker 4: of them. I thot Aaron Rodgers looked fine last week.
- 28:36Speaker 4: But you know who else look fine? Lagarius Snead and
- 28:39Speaker 4: Chadobie Uzie, the two veteran corners for the Titans. They've
- 28:41Speaker 4: been banged up, but they look pretty good.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Out there, all right. So we gotta pick.
- 28:44Speaker 3: We got one pick that's separated all of us here
- 28:47Speaker 3: our game debut.
- 28:48Speaker 2: When we come back, we're going to the Desert.
- 28:50Speaker 3: The preview of the Rams and Cardinals, both squads coming
- 28:53Speaker 3: up just short in week one on the road. Who's
- 28:55Speaker 3: the first to get their dub on Sunday? We'll tell
- 28:58Speaker 3: you right after this quick break, we're back on game
- 29:00Speaker 3: day view. Election Day is coming up and we all
- 29:02Speaker 3: need to be ready to show up big our country.
- 29:04Speaker 3: Make sure you know your state's voter registration deadline as
- 29:07Speaker 3: well as requirements. For more resources and information, visit NFL

- 29:15Speaker 3: the highest over unders for Week two according to Caesars Sportsbook,
- 29:19Speaker 3: fifty one and a half points in that playoff rematch
- 29:22Speaker 3: between the Buccaneers and the Lions, and then the Rams
- 29:25Speaker 3: and the Cardinals in the Desert at forty eight points, second,
- 29:29Speaker 3: leading the way ahead of the Bengals in chiefs. So
- 29:31Speaker 3: let's discuss that Rams Cardinals matchup Vegas expecting fireworks in
- 29:36Speaker 3: that point total. There both squads coming off narrow losses.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Is it a score fest in the desert where it's
- 29:42Speaker 3: a narrow game? Greg, who wins?
- 29:44Speaker 4: I have the Rams winning it. I kept looking at
- 29:46Speaker 4: that number. The Rams are an underdog in this game.
- 29:48Speaker 4: Give them to me because they only have the most
- 29:51Speaker 4: undestructible quarterback in the league, Matthew Stafford. He got hit
- 29:56Speaker 4: a lot last week. Their tackle situation is a problem.
- 29:59Speaker 4: We're not sure if they're gonna get Rob Hanstein back
- 30:02Speaker 4: or not for this game. But Sean McVay has a
- 30:05Speaker 4: week to prepare, and I think the schedule makers did
- 30:07Speaker 4: him a favor. The one team on their entire schedule
- 30:11Speaker 4: that I think they could hold up against in terms
- 30:13Speaker 4: of pass protection is the Arizona Cardinals. They just don't
- 30:16Speaker 4: have any pure pass rushers. So if you can get
- 30:18Speaker 4: Matthew Stafford time, they have enough weapons even without Puka Nakua.
- 30:21Speaker 4: Look at Tyler Johnson, his replacement, Jordan Winnington make it
- 30:25Speaker 4: to play, so they have enough playmakers. I think they
- 30:27Speaker 4: get the win, Sean McVay. In this Rams team beat
- 30:30Speaker 4: the Cardinals by forty combined points in their two matchups
- 30:33Speaker 4: last year.
- 30:34Speaker 6: I'm completely with you. I think the wrong team is
- 30:37Speaker 6: favored in this one. I have a one point win
- 30:39Speaker 6: for the Rams twenty six to twenty five in this matchup.
- 30:42Speaker 5: Run the football and you know who does that really well, Sean,
- 30:46Speaker 5: the Rams. They're gonna figure this one out. They have before.
- 30:49Speaker 6: This is a puzzle they are uniquely suited to solve. Yes,
- 30:52Speaker 6: I don't love the fact that the tackles are on
- 30:55Speaker 6: the injury report and not playing.
- 30:57Speaker 5: That's not great for any team.
- 30:58Speaker 6: However, they're figuring out how to make the looks just
- 31:02Speaker 6: enough different to keep through Stafford, who potentially is the
- 31:05Speaker 6: most underrated, like first round pick ever in terms of
- 31:08Speaker 6: a quarterback like most underrated ever. If that's what I think,
- 31:12Speaker 6: Rams and Lions fans would both agree on that one.
- 31:14Speaker 6: But they're gonna run the football and they're gonna win.
- 31:16Speaker 3: Speaking of Verdy, the Cardinals are favored for a reason,
- 31:18Speaker 3: and they're also not favored on this show for several
- 31:21Speaker 3: reasons that we have just outlined. I have a three
- 31:23Speaker 3: point win for the Los Angeles Rams as well, because,
- 31:25Speaker 3: as Greg mentioned, we're not sure where the Cardinals pass
- 31:28Speaker 3: rush comes from.
- 31:29Speaker 2: The Rams were.
- 31:30Speaker 3: Already good with a set of good young pass rushers,
- 31:33Speaker 3: and then they go out and they draft Jared Verse
- 31:35Speaker 3: in the first round.
- 31:35Speaker 2: They add Braydon Fisk.
- 31:37Speaker 3: Jared Vers equaled Will Anderson jun the defensive rookie of
- 31:40Speaker 3: the year's first game numbers. He comes out, he gets
- 31:43Speaker 3: a sack against Jared Golf against the Lions offensive line
- 31:47Speaker 3: at home in Detroit.
- 31:49Speaker 2: He was very good right off of the bet.
- 31:51Speaker 3: I just don't know where the pressure comes from from
- 31:53Speaker 3: the Cardinals. All love to Marvin Harrison Junior.
- 31:56Speaker 2: I think he'll be better.
- 31:57Speaker 3: And Kyler Murray, who will look great in spots against
- 32:00Speaker 3: the Buffalo Bills.
- 32:01Speaker 2: It's just hard to take this Rams defense. It's so good,
- 32:04Speaker 2: so early, mean the way children we are all on
- 32:07Speaker 2: the Los Angeles Rams.
- 32:08Speaker 3: Tom to make some quick picks here on game debut,
- 32:11Speaker 3: the Steelers and the Broncos and what would have been
- 32:14Speaker 3: We were so close to the Russell Wilson revenge game
- 32:17Speaker 3: discuss they played with his money a bit, Greg, But
- 32:19Speaker 3: now you're the only one to take the Steelers.
- 32:22Speaker 2: Last week, yes, were taking the Steelers again.
- 32:24Speaker 4: Of course I am. I believe in you justin Fields.
- 32:27Speaker 4: You can tell who didn't watch the game last week
- 32:29Speaker 4: when they dog on Justin Fields. He played well in
- 32:31Speaker 4: that game. Okay, they didn't score a touchdown, but he
- 32:33Speaker 4: made a lot of winning football plays, good throws down
- 32:36Speaker 4: the field, smart times to run. One of the best
- 32:39Speaker 4: running quarterbacks. I believe that the game has ever seen,
- 32:42Speaker 4: and I think he's getting more and more comfortable in
- 32:44Speaker 4: this offense. They don't score a touchdown this week either.
- 32:47Speaker 4: That's six field goals eighteen to twelve. They don't give
- 32:50Speaker 4: up any touchdowns either. It's a field goal fest in Denver.
- 32:53Speaker 5: You don't even really need touchdowns if you got this defense.
- 32:55Speaker 6: But I do want to point out that George Pickens
- 32:57Speaker 6: is again having the same trend carry over from last year,
- 33:00Speaker 6: which is those deep outside the numbers passes. So if
- 33:03Speaker 6: you're a fantasy player and you want to beat your opponent,
- 33:05Speaker 6: go for a guy like this who's boom or bust meeting.
- 33:07Speaker 6: He's either going to catch those like insane bombs outside
- 33:10Speaker 6: the numbers really deep, or you know, he's not gonna
- 33:12Speaker 6: get anything. But it's fine, we'll go to the upside.
- 33:13Speaker 3: Here, and at least they get to look at justin
- 33:15Speaker 3: fields in practice, so like, see a quarterback that moves
- 33:17Speaker 3: because Kirk Cousins definitely didn't move that well in the
- 33:20Speaker 3: opener for the Atlanta Falcons.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Bonix can get around as well too, but we're.
- 33:23Speaker 4: All late in the show. Stray for Kirk Cousins ray he.
- 33:27Speaker 3: Would like to move better to Let's get to the
- 33:28Speaker 3: Colts and Packers in Lambeau. Malik Willis starting Jordan Love
- 33:32Speaker 3: dealing with that mcl sprain.
- 33:34Speaker 2: How do you see this one going?
- 33:35Speaker 6: Cynthia Indianapolis wins this one twenty two to eighteen. Let's
- 33:38Speaker 6: just talk about Anthony Richards in here. It's interesting to watch.
- 33:41Speaker 5: Because we all know, yes, by the way, he's a
- 33:43Speaker 5: running threat too.
- 33:44Speaker 6: Everyone knows everyone knows, including the Packers defense, including last year,
- 33:49Speaker 6: last week, the Houston Texans defense. But he still manages
- 33:52Speaker 6: to make it look pretty easy here. I think it's
- 33:55Speaker 6: going to be a nice week to target Alec Pierce
- 33:58Speaker 6: again in fantasy if you're looking for someone that he
- 34:00Speaker 6: could connect with. But the threat of he and Jonathan
- 34:02Speaker 6: Taylor is just too much for the Packers without Jordan Longe.
- 34:05Speaker 4: There's something about this though. We all picked the Colts
- 34:07Speaker 4: and I'm sticking with it that I don't feel comfortable with.
- 34:09Speaker 5: Agree.
- 34:09Speaker 4: No, it's at Lambeau. The Packers are a home underdog.
- 34:12Speaker 4: That's worrisome. It's the first time we've seen Malik Willis
- 34:16Speaker 4: as a starter. The Colts defense gave up a lot
- 34:19Speaker 4: of yards on the ground last week to Houston. And
- 34:21Speaker 4: you can imagine Matt Lafler, who's a really good coach,
- 34:23Speaker 4: coming up with a good running game where it features
- 34:25Speaker 4: Josh Jacobs, features Malik Willis. I'm just this would be
- 34:28Speaker 4: a stay away from me. But we have to pick,
- 34:30Speaker 4: and I picked the Colts.
- 34:31Speaker 6: By the way, another free write this down. Josh Jacobs
- 34:34Speaker 6: gets in the end zone.
- 34:35Speaker 5: Easy one there.
- 34:36Speaker 3: Jacobs played well in the opener. It's just hard to
- 34:38Speaker 3: not pick Anthony Richardson. There were contrails coming off that
- 34:41Speaker 3: ball to Ashton Doolan on the reverse angle. Just an
- 34:44Speaker 3: incredible thrower of the football.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Last one.
- 34:46Speaker 3: The Giants and the Commanders surprising straight out here. I'm
- 34:50Speaker 3: the only one taking the Washington Commanders after the way
- 34:53Speaker 3: the New York Giants looked against the many Sloa Vikings
- 34:56Speaker 3: at home and the opener where they're honoring all these
- 34:58Speaker 3: Giants greats. Aside from that, Jaydon Daniels got pressured a
- 35:02Speaker 3: whole lot by the time Bay Buccaneers, but.
- 35:05Speaker 2: What he was able to do was get away with
- 35:06Speaker 2: it with his feet. And yet the performance wasn't that
- 35:09Speaker 2: great for the Commander's defense.
- 35:11Speaker 3: But I just think, considering the offenses that are going
- 35:14Speaker 3: to be on the field, I believe more in Jayden
- 35:16Speaker 3: Daniels than I do and dimes in the Giants.
- 35:19Speaker 6: Can we talk a little bit about Malik Neighbors though,
- 35:21Speaker 6: because he very quietly leads all rookies and receiving yards. Okay,
- 35:25Speaker 6: come on, it was a little bit of love for
- 35:27Speaker 6: a guy on it. That was a tough outing, but
- 35:30Speaker 6: he still had the most yard.
- 35:32Speaker 4: My hardest game to pick it. I think I wound
- 35:35Speaker 4: up taking the Giants because the Washington game was the
- 35:38Speaker 4: last one I watched, and the Bucks could have put
- 35:40Speaker 4: up about fifty five points. There were just receivers streaking
- 35:43Speaker 4: wide open all game long. And there's something about the
- 35:46Speaker 4: Giants are in year three of this program with brand Deeble.
- 35:49Speaker 4: If they can't win this game in game two of
- 35:51Speaker 4: this Washington program, where I just don't think they're very talented.
- 35:54Speaker 4: They're in deep trouble. So you think Dexter Lawrence knew it?
- 35:56Speaker 5: Can we call him dex he watches the show. I'm
- 35:59Speaker 5: sure of it.
- 35:59Speaker 6: Dexter Lawrence had a really good game last week. Let's
- 36:02Speaker 6: I mean, we got to give some love here, Dexter
- 36:03Speaker 6: Laurence's bleak neighbors. Come on, those are those are the
- 36:06Speaker 6: positive reasons here?
- 36:07Speaker 3: All love And I probably should not do this because
- 36:10Speaker 3: I do not Greg and Cynthia to change their picks.
- 36:12Speaker 2: But let's throw up some dimes footage. There's the a
- 36:16Speaker 2: VG pick six. He's done that call.
- 36:19Speaker 3: So sometimes things, you know, you hold onto the ball
- 36:22Speaker 3: a little bit too long, you try to have the
- 36:23Speaker 3: time behind your tackle. You guys feel that the Harrison Smith,
- 36:27Speaker 3: so he's got a lot of folks. But all these
- 36:29Speaker 3: things happen in the same game.
- 36:30Speaker 4: Does they won't be wearing these uniforms though. That is
- 36:33Speaker 4: worth three points? Maybe Moore.
- 36:36Speaker 2: The uniforms, I mean, I love it.
- 36:38Speaker 6: I love the historic giants like I want like the
- 36:41Speaker 6: strayhand version. I just I like those uniforms best that
- 36:44Speaker 6: I'm with you here.
- 36:46Speaker 4: If you're right, Daniel Jones may never play again.
- 36:48Speaker 2: For the Giants Sunday, nine am Eastern. Rich Eyes and
- 36:51Speaker 2: Kurt Warner, Steve Maryucci, Jerald McCoy.
- 36:54Speaker 4: Freely wait now you're not as small as smaller.
- 37:01Speaker 3: Looking forward to game day morning, Kurt explains what Rogers
- 37:04Speaker 3: needs to fix to get his first win of the season.
- 37:07Speaker 3: Live reports from stadiums all across the league, Sunday at
- 37:10Speaker 3: nine a m.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Eastern.
- 37:12Speaker 3: As for us, it's time for write this down as
- 37:15Speaker 3: we get some predictions for Week two.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Greg's already been bold a couple times, so which got grit?
- 37:20Speaker 4: I mean, I don't know if this is bold, but
- 37:21Speaker 4: it's Taj Spears. It's gonna be right over twenty three
- 37:25Speaker 4: and a half rushing yards. I mentioned how the Titans
- 37:28Speaker 4: ground game is gonna grind the Jets to dust, and
- 37:31Speaker 4: they're not just a one back backfield. Tony Pollard has
- 37:34Speaker 4: a big game. Taj Spears has a nice game. Two
- 37:37Speaker 4: more carries this week, not just receptions, and I'm so
- 37:40Speaker 4: big on this type them to Dust's.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Thunder and lightning when you got mortar and pestle.
- 37:46Speaker 6: I think mine's a little bit spicier than that one.
- 37:49Speaker 6: I have brock Bauers entering the end zone and scoring
- 37:52Speaker 6: his first NFL touchdown this weekend. Why he ran nine
- 37:57Speaker 6: of the routes on the route tree last week, which
- 38:00Speaker 6: means they already trust him. This guy has been on
- 38:02Speaker 6: the field for at least twenty six snaps on offense.
- 38:05Speaker 6: That means that this is gonna be the opportunity. They
- 38:08Speaker 6: need some pass catchers, They need something to get going
- 38:10Speaker 6: here against the Ravens Black Bauers touchdown spicy.
- 38:14Speaker 5: I also gave you some other ones that were less spicy.
- 38:15Speaker 5: But that's a spicy.
- 38:16Speaker 2: But there were several things that you could write down
- 38:18Speaker 2: for Cynthia Friella.
- 38:19Speaker 5: I met a lot of writing today and.
- 38:20Speaker 2: You need them because on the show we were in
- 38:21Speaker 2: lockstep for a lot of the time. We may be
- 38:23Speaker 2: on here. Let me know if you guys agree with
- 38:26Speaker 2: me on this.
- 38:26Speaker 3: I think Derrick Henry is over seventy one rushing yards
- 38:29Speaker 3: against the Raiders on Sunday. In six of the last
- 38:32Speaker 3: seven games that Dereck Henry has played for eighteen when
- 38:35Speaker 3: they have one, he's gone.
- 38:37Speaker 2: Over this number.
- 38:38Speaker 3: And I think the game script allows for more Dereck
- 38:41Speaker 3: Henry to not necessarily in the opener, as the Chiefs
- 38:44Speaker 3: went out a couple touchdowns, they had to try to
- 38:45Speaker 3: pull them back in Derek Henry over seventy.
- 38:47Speaker 5: That's about his spy.
