- 2:13Speaker 1: things to get into about this election that took place
- 2:15Speaker 1: on Tuesday and the Mamdani conversation.
- 2:20Speaker 2: The mayor elect of New York.
- 2:22Speaker 1: First, there was this from the Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessett.
- 2:28Speaker 3: I left in twenty twenty build the Blasio chase me out.
- 2:33Speaker 3: I couldn't take it anymore. And yeah, I want to
- 2:37Speaker 3: congratulate the people who voted for Mondami. And you know,
- 2:41Speaker 3: welcome to Caracas on the Hudson. Welcome to Caracas on
- 2:45Speaker 3: the Hudson. I don't know who's going to be more
- 2:50Speaker 3: responsible for the bump in Miami real estate, Maduro or Mondami.
- 2:55Speaker 3: And you know, I know you've hedged. You've been in
- 2:59Speaker 3: a part in New York and a house in Connecticut.
- 3:02Speaker 3: I'm told that Connecticut realtors are already very busy. And
- 3:06Speaker 3: you know, look, I had thirty thirty five great years
- 3:11Speaker 3: in New York. I wish New York the best, but
- 3:13Speaker 3: I think that they've chosen the worst, and people have
- 3:17Speaker 3: to learn from experience.
- 3:20Speaker 2: That they do that they do.
- 3:24Speaker 1: The people of New York made a decision and they
- 3:28Speaker 1: have to live with that decision. I have seen Centaer,
- 3:32Speaker 1: Jim Banks, the Attorney General, Todd roket To say, hey,
- 3:35Speaker 1: bring your business to Indiana. I want you to know
- 3:37Speaker 1: I absolutely favor this, and I was serious, and I
- 3:42Speaker 1: know that the governor's team listens. I absolutely will lead
- 3:47Speaker 1: that charge because I know how to speak New York.
- 3:53Speaker 1: So yeah, let me handle this. I could speak both languages. Now,
- 3:58Speaker 1: after eleven and a half years, I can do this.
- 4:00Speaker 1: No no, no, you don't get to bring your politics with you.
- 4:03Speaker 2: No no, no, no, no no no no no.
- 4:05Speaker 1: See, nobody I think could do a better job than
- 4:09Speaker 1: me in explaining why they should bring their business to Indiana.
- 4:15Speaker 1: And the last thing in the world you need is
- 4:18Speaker 1: to stay in New York. Oh, I think I could
- 4:23Speaker 1: explain it pretty good to people. You bring me good stuff,
- 4:26Speaker 1: you leave the bad stuff. We don't want to hear
- 4:28Speaker 1: about the bad stuff. No, no, no, you think you have
- 4:30Speaker 1: an idea, You ain't got no ideas. You never heard
- 4:32Speaker 1: of an idea. You don't know nothing about an idea.
- 4:34Speaker 1: You never saw an idea before. Maybe you weren't there,
- 4:37Speaker 1: maybe you were in the bathroom.
- 4:38Speaker 2: You don't know.
- 4:38Speaker 1: What you do know is you got a nice business,
- 4:41Speaker 1: and we think it would be nice if nothing happened
- 4:43Speaker 1: to it, but you were actually able to grow it.
- 4:45Speaker 1: You should come to Indiana. We got a lot of
- 4:47Speaker 1: lovely spots, believe it or not, some very good pizza too. No no, no,
- 4:51Speaker 1: trust me on this. Don't don't insult me. Try the pizza,
- 4:54Speaker 1: then you decide. But those politics, No no, you can't bring
- 4:57Speaker 1: that with you. No no, we ain't got no room
- 4:58Speaker 1: for that. No no, no, you ain't gonna to be able
- 5:00Speaker 1: to bring that. You try and bring that, We're gonna
- 5:02Speaker 1: bring you to Illinois. So don't you even try. Don't
- 5:05Speaker 1: you even try that I get Sylvia over here. Take
- 5:08Speaker 1: care everything, good talk, good talk, pleas your hut.
- 5:13Speaker 2: I can do this. I am the guy to do this.
- 5:17Speaker 2: I was built for a purpose and this is it. Cam.
- 5:21Speaker 1: I cannot believe Governor Brown has not called yet. What
- 5:25Speaker 1: are you doing all day?
- 5:29Speaker 2: Oh?
- 5:29Speaker 1: Keeping an eye on the scandals of your lieutenant governor?
- 5:32Speaker 2: All right? Maybe maybe no too soon? No, yes, ruling.
- 5:37Speaker 2: I think I'm fine.
- 5:38Speaker 1: We'll get into Michael Beckworth coming up in a little bit.
- 5:42Speaker 1: In a little bit, But there's much more about the
- 5:48Speaker 1: the UH race that I want to get to about
- 5:52Speaker 1: what took place in New York, and I really want
- 5:54Speaker 1: to break down something some numbers that are very important
- 5:57Speaker 1: because I think.
- 5:58Speaker 2: A lot of people are overreacting.
- 6:00Speaker 1: But Bonnie on the live stream, you know, we live
- 6:03Speaker 1: stream over at YouTube YouTube dot com, slash wibc.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Why do we need to crowd Indiana?
- 6:09Speaker 1: Okay, we are getting into it, and I think that
- 6:13Speaker 1: this is going to be you know, I've been talking
- 6:15Speaker 1: about doing more events, and I am planning nine in
- 6:22Speaker 1: in twenty twenty six, large scale and small scale like
- 6:26Speaker 1: some salon type events.
- 6:28Speaker 2: And so I've had some farmers reach out. I will
- 6:30Speaker 2: get back to you, guys.
- 6:31Speaker 1: I want to do an event with you again, but
- 6:33Speaker 1: I want to do it in a public setting. I
- 6:36Speaker 1: think in this roundtable, small group, this question is.
- 6:40Speaker 2: A big one.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Why do we need to crowd Indiana? It is obvious
- 6:47Speaker 1: that we have a split in Indiana regarding how we grow,
- 6:54Speaker 1: and that there is a real desire in certain pockets
- 6:59Speaker 1: of the state not to grow.
- 7:01Speaker 2: They don't want it. They want to stay allegedly wholesome.
- 7:07Speaker 2: They want to stay a more.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Simple is the wrong word. I don't mean that in
- 7:16Speaker 1: a disparaging way. They don't want the things that come
- 7:20Speaker 1: with growth. Let's call it traffic. Now, they'll lose out
- 7:25Speaker 1: on the things that come with growth, like dollars.
- 7:29Speaker 2: I don't want to force some.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Town somewhere in our great state to take any business,
- 7:38Speaker 1: but as a matter of just existing, it is a
- 7:44Speaker 1: radical idea to not want to grow. And a state
- 7:49Speaker 1: that were to state we are not interested in growth
- 7:53Speaker 1: is a state that will be believed and it will
- 7:55Speaker 1: be over. Part of my issues is I brought up
- 7:58Speaker 1: the ie DC earlier. You make these moves to make
- 8:02Speaker 1: Indiana a place that's attractive and you work on this,
- 8:06Speaker 1: and you work on this, and you work on this,
- 8:10Speaker 1: and you're starting to see results and interest and activity,
- 8:14Speaker 1: and then pull the plug as we have.
- 8:17Speaker 2: It's very obvious that we have.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I think it's a huge mistake and this desire of well,
- 8:26Speaker 1: we don't need the IDC. We should want groups within
- 8:31Speaker 1: the states to go out there and attract business. That's
- 8:34Speaker 1: different than whether or not we should be spending money
- 8:36Speaker 1: to get these businesses, whether or not we should have
- 8:38Speaker 1: these investment groups to invest in these businesses, that's a
- 8:41Speaker 1: different argument. But on the very basis, shouldn't we be
- 8:46Speaker 1: doing outreach. We shouldn't be. We shouldn't be selling our story.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I'm sorry. That is backwards. That is backwards thinking, and
- 8:56Speaker 1: that should be fought. We should be forward thinking. We
- 9:01Speaker 1: should say this is the place to be. We should
- 9:04Speaker 1: be the capital of the Midwest. We should plant our
- 9:07Speaker 1: flag and declare it so.
- 9:09Speaker 2: So, No, it's not crowding Indiana and look around.
- 9:13Speaker 1: We've got room. I don't want to get rid of farms.
- 9:17Speaker 1: I'm saying we've got room. We should be smart about
- 9:23Speaker 1: our growth. We should be deliberate about our growth, but
- 9:27Speaker 1: we should grow. And I believe that the people who
- 9:32Speaker 1: think otherwise are wrong, and the long term detrimental that
- 9:36Speaker 1: they would provide. Man that is not better for your life,
- 9:41Speaker 1: my life, for the life of our kids,
