- 0:07Dr. Slaton Live: Welcome to the Brain's Body podcast.
- 0:10Dr. Slaton Live: I am Dr Christopher Kevin Slaton, human Learning Consultant with the Progressive Investing Institute of Focus Learning and Author of Education and Science to Brain's Body Help to Improve Brain, body and Sense Events, and I want to thank you all for your listening to our podcast.
- 0:33Dr. Slaton Live: This week we went over 750 downloads and I want to thank you because this is our first year and it's been a learning process and I'm glad to know that I do have listeners and that they are willing to take that chance to understand what a sense of feel for self is.
- 0:58Dr. Slaton Live: That's today's discussion about the brain's body, the mastery of the brain's body, because, as you will come to find out that, what I'm really talking about is mental health, because you begin to understand that your brain has to be in the lead of the body at all times and that's a process of becoming informed, and I want you to understand that because it's significant when you're trying to catch up, because I talk through the learning crises.
- 1:35Dr. Slaton Live: In this instance, I'm talking about how, if you haven't been set up for contact, then you haven't been prepared to learn how to live inside your own sense of feel for self.
- 1:52Dr. Slaton Live: Instead, you're living through a sense of self, and that's kind of wrong because that's confusing, because you have a sense of self, but where is that going?
- 2:01Dr. Slaton Live: What do you do with a sense of self?
- 2:03Dr. Slaton Live: Just search for what.
- 2:05Dr. Slaton Live: That's a learning problem.
- 2:07Dr. Slaton Live: And so the brain's body, in the study of self, you realize the first step is the sense to feel, because that's the brain learning through the experience of you and the environment in relation to other people.
- 2:29Dr. Slaton Live: And so your sense of feel for self is the neurophysics of human system science, because you are learning about the environmental affect, the inner effect, right, and how that evolves into a sense of feel for who and what you are becoming as you become more informed, more disciplined, more focused through your sense of feel for self, because I'm talking through the base you sense to feel, to focus.
- 3:11Dr. Slaton Live: Now I'm adding the sense of feel for self and the brain, because it's connected, because that's how you learn from where you are, and each day you gain more awareness of your identity, of what you're becoming as you have contact with the environment and other people and you begin to realize you don't have to avoid the contact, because you move through the contact to inform your brain when you don't do that.
- 3:46Dr. Slaton Live: Bring me back to a real serious event that I had last week.
- 3:51Dr. Slaton Live: While I was on my vacation Christ's intervention vacation I was called out to help a family.
- 3:58Dr. Slaton Live: I was in crisis and the thing that I want to point out is I'm talking about elders right that are in crisis because now they're drifting to the lame duck portions of life when they've been placed.
- 4:13Dr. Slaton Live: And I was called in to help the young people learn how to meet the needs of their seniors that have been placed in the senior living facility.
- 4:28Dr. Slaton Live: And what I learned was in my observations was that the elders had dummy down because, number one, they have to come to terms with the changes in their own lives, and then they have to come to terms with their lives being taken over by the younger people and then understanding that they were powerless to do anything about it.
- 4:56Dr. Slaton Live: So they dummy down and just bonded husband and wife just bonded.
- 5:04Dr. Slaton Live: So nothing got through.
- 5:05Dr. Slaton Live: Nothing was getting through.
- 5:06Dr. Slaton Live: The contact was not getting through, the interaction was not getting through, there was no processing take taking place.
- 5:13Dr. Slaton Live: There were moods in states of mind evolving to survive, that's, a sense of self to survive.
- 5:24Dr. Slaton Live: They were no longer moving through, a sense of feel for self, which is what lifts you up and makes you compete.
- 5:34Dr. Slaton Live: It motivates you because you have a sense of feel for who you are and what pleases you, what makes you happy, what makes you feel more alive.
- 5:47Dr. Slaton Live: Okay, because the way you feel things is critical, but the most important point, I want you to understand that the mental health issues, that when you dummy down the senses and avoid the contact, you are ignoring the experience, and that's why I say it's dummying down the senses, because you are ignoring the actual experience.
- 6:08Dr. Slaton Live: So the brain is not processing the information because you're blocking it.
- 6:14Dr. Slaton Live: And I say this to say that the learning crisis when you begin to do the same thing, you have to contact with me but you resist my sounds because, wow, you detect something in my voice and instead of allowing your brain to process that something, you reject it.
- 6:34Dr. Slaton Live: And when you reject it, that information is not correctly experienced into a knowledge base that informs you why you rejected my noise and sounds, so that you're informed and more aware of how you really feel, because that's the purpose of the brain to learn through your sense of feel for self.
- 6:59Dr. Slaton Live: So what I'm trying to understand is that when we talk about self-help, self-help, education of science.
- 7:08Dr. Slaton Live: We're talking about how you live each day to become more informed on what it really takes to be you in man-made environments which are becoming more and more complex because you feel more and more boxed in to the program.
- 7:31Dr. Slaton Live: And I'm talking about process, learning the process to gain a sense of control over where you are.
- 7:41Dr. Slaton Live: So I'm saying I'm going back to my elders and I'm saying to them you know, indirectly, because I don't try to impact or influence another person's fears, anxieties or angers, I try to talk through them, through the room, meaning I relate to everybody in the room so no one can say he's specifically identifying me.
- 8:08Dr. Slaton Live: No, you don't want to do that.
- 8:09Dr. Slaton Live: You want your information to be in the environment where it can be absorbed and analyzed, with everybody not taking it so personal.
- 8:19Dr. Slaton Live: But you want them to receive it and so if they reject it, that means a transfer from the sense path to the receive path is negated and they don't get the full message of your communication.
- 8:34Dr. Slaton Live: So the learning crisis is beginning to understand how your sense and receive path functions work when you have contact, you have the intent to move through it because in order for you to participate and reach a high level of performance.
- 8:59Dr. Slaton Live: You must cooperate with the needs of your sense of feel for self to process the actual information and then in your response make the corrections.
- 9:15Dr. Slaton Live: let people know how you really feel.
- 9:18Dr. Slaton Live: But don't cut it off where your knowledge base is somewhat confused, because you don't really receive the emotional parts of the contact and information flow, because you're allowed your thinking to create conflict in the flow.
- 9:45Dr. Slaton Live: So now you have emotion and negative thought clashing, a mood state for what I was talking about.
- 9:54Dr. Slaton Live: How do you get people out of that mood state?
- 9:57Dr. Slaton Live: You don't.
- 9:58Dr. Slaton Live: You work with them, you talk through them, talking to the brain, as I pointed out, not directing the specifics at any individual, but in the room, doing brain talk where it applies to everyone, because everybody understands a sense of feel.
- 10:18Dr. Slaton Live: Feel for the contact, don't resist it.
- 10:22Dr. Slaton Live: Feel for the contact to transfer the information.
- 10:27Dr. Slaton Live: And you're already cooperating because you want clarity.
- 10:31Dr. Slaton Live: You want clarity even if you don't express it where other people can hear you or see you.
- 10:42Dr. Slaton Live: You're still processing it and creating that knowledge base.
- 10:47Dr. Slaton Live: So you're aware, but you have to be informed first.
- 10:51Dr. Slaton Live: People put that awareness in the front.
- 10:55Dr. Slaton Live: No, you don't become aware, you come first.
- 10:58Dr. Slaton Live: You have to be informed.
- 10:59Dr. Slaton Live: What has to be informed, your sense of feel for self and the brain, and now you have a knowledge base.
- 11:09Dr. Slaton Live: And then knowledge base, you are developing awareness I'll say that word again, neuro physics a sense of feel for self, the brain, the body and the senses operating to study what's going on in the environment, the outer, the inner self or the people, all environments that have to be learned and moved through.
- 11:40Dr. Slaton Live: The natural environment is the most critical because that's active and that's programmed and unprogrammed.
- 11:49Dr. Slaton Live: And you got to choose, use your sense of receipt path.
- 11:53Dr. Slaton Live: You have to choose how you feel these things as they are moving through you, because those decisions that you're making is what allows you to respond to family, education, government, business systems.
- 12:14Dr. Slaton Live: Why?
- 12:16Dr. Slaton Live: Because you are leading yourself through the experience of self to levels of awareness.
- 12:23Dr. Slaton Live: But you are already connected.
- 12:25Dr. Slaton Live: So when you engage someone else, you intentionally move through the contact because you want to process that information.
- 12:34Dr. Slaton Live: Now, what is that information?
- 12:36Dr. Slaton Live: Let's go back to the base, where the triggers are Home, school, neighborhood, workplace.
- 12:41Dr. Slaton Live: You want to move through those places, even though they don't feel good.
- 12:45Dr. Slaton Live: I said that word because I want you to understand, accept that word.
- 12:49Dr. Slaton Live: I don't want you to move through this conversation and not realize what I'm saying is you need more than a sense of home.
- 12:58Dr. Slaton Live: You need a sense of feel for your home.
- 13:01Dr. Slaton Live: You need a sense of feel for your neighborhood.
- 13:05Dr. Slaton Live: Your senses, because how are you going to move through it and reach higher levels of functionality if you're not accepting the fact that you got to learn?
- 13:15Dr. Slaton Live: And what do you have to learn?
- 13:16Dr. Slaton Live: Through your sense of feel for self in the brain?
- 13:18Dr. Slaton Live: It has to be in the lead, otherwise that's why your body's out of control, because your body's in the lead.
- 13:26Dr. Slaton Live: And what that means is you live it through a sense of self, a sense of the body, a sense of the body, a sense of the body, a sense of the body.
- 13:38Dr. Slaton Live: See, I said that sense of feel for self.
- 13:41Dr. Slaton Live: Now, self is environmental and inner, see.
- 13:45Dr. Slaton Live: So there's an inner play already taking place.
- 13:48Dr. Slaton Live: Now, when you move through the feel for self, that's a process, variable Meaning you're learning.
- 13:54Dr. Slaton Live: You're learning how to live inside the home, you're learning how to learn inside the school, you're learning how to think inside the neighborhood, you're learning how how to respond in a workplace.
- 14:08Dr. Slaton Live: That's the developmental aspects, because when you're inner learning crises, the goal is to get to the goal line.
- 14:17Dr. Slaton Live: The goal line is can I get a job to help me take care of myself, to reduce this tension, stress and pressure.
- 14:27Dr. Slaton Live: I feel you feel that and the way that you go about it is to understand the brain's body learning system is here to help you understand how to move through that sense of feel for self and calm down, because you're supposed to experience those feelings, because you are a feeling system.
- 14:53Dr. Slaton Live: Human beings feel everything.
- 14:54Dr. Slaton Live: They can reject it and deny it, but I say again, when you reject the contact right, you break the link between the environment, self, other people in the process of becoming more informed to reach specific levels of awareness when then you're able to compete because you have a knowledge base that you're constantly moving through, that's constantly evolving, okay.
- 15:27Dr. Slaton Live: And what's in the lead?
- 15:28Dr. Slaton Live: Neuro physics, the brain and the lead of the body, okay.
- 15:32Dr. Slaton Live: So you're developing your brain, body and sense systems simultaneously.
- 15:37Dr. Slaton Live: And what are you mastering?
- 15:39Dr. Slaton Live: You're learning the brain's body, not the mind, not the mood.
- 15:45Dr. Slaton Live: You're moving through the mood, through the mind.
- 15:48Dr. Slaton Live: You understand the mind is a storage base.
- 15:50Dr. Slaton Live: It is a storage base of reflection.
- 15:55Dr. Slaton Live: The brain is what changes the way you feel.
- 16:00Dr. Slaton Live: And if you can change the way you feel, you can change the mood state.
- 16:02Dr. Slaton Live: And if you can change the mood state, you can change the state of mind that's impacting you negatively.
- 16:10Dr. Slaton Live: This is the learning crisis and I'm trying to go back to the base.
- 16:13Dr. Slaton Live: You sense to feel, to focus practice.
- 16:17Dr. Slaton Live: You sense to feel to focus practice.
- 16:21Dr. Slaton Live: And what am I saying to you?
- 16:23Dr. Slaton Live: I'm saying that a sense of self is like living but not being sure of how and why.
- 16:34Dr. Slaton Live: Then I'm saying to correct that, in the brains body learning system, I'm saying a sense of self is an act to learn through the study of the contact, how you live, how you live and why you learn.
- 16:54Dr. Slaton Live: Because as you move into that contact, there's an intent to interact Process.
- 17:01Dr. Slaton Live: You're learning from the contact, you're learning from the way you interact or the way the interaction took place, and then you're valuing the fact that you had to cooperate.
- 17:14Dr. Slaton Live: That's the empowerment piece, because you know you're participating, but that means your brain is in the lead.
- 17:21Dr. Slaton Live: So now your body is controlled Right, your senses are focused Right and, more importantly, the process variables are being managed.
- 17:34Dr. Slaton Live: Emotion, okay, spent thought, old thought moves.
- 17:41Dr. Slaton Live: Mind states are being changed because you're allowing the information to move through you and the experience itself changes you, because you're responding and as you respond, you open to the feedback.
- 17:59Dr. Slaton Live: Okay, and so we're talking about a self expression.
- 18:05Dr. Slaton Live: And I'm trying to understand is that when you, when you study this thing the brain, the body, in the senses, the brain's body and then you put that in relation to the mood, the mind, the mind's body, then you understand that's been the crises, because those are fixed states and people can mark you and label you and tell you you don't have, you, don't know who you are, you don't know what you are and they can break you down.
- 18:34Dr. Slaton Live: But when you have a sense of feel, you see, you work through your sense of feel, even though you don't realize it.
- 18:44Dr. Slaton Live: So it is.
- 18:44Dr. Slaton Live: It is conscious and subconscious learning Through the practice of living each day to become more informed.
- 18:56Dr. Slaton Live: That's progressive investing.
- 19:00Dr. Slaton Live: And so when you pick up the book, you understand.
- 19:03Dr. Slaton Live: What I'm trying to get you understand is that mastery comes from the acceptance that you are a learning system, and you have to accept that and everything you encounter.
- 19:16Dr. Slaton Live: That's why you feel the way you feel, because the brain is trying to figure it out and you feel that tension inner, you feel that stress in relation to the people and you feel that pressure through the combination of self and other people.
- 19:31Dr. Slaton Live: So you feel these things, but that's your brain at work.
- 19:36Dr. Slaton Live: You transfer that experience, that's your knowledge base, that's the mastery of self in the process of evolving and changing into other things self discovery, self research and, more importantly, that 's self help.
- 19:56Dr. Slaton Live: Because you have to have that, because you are a human being, just like I am Right and we're not meant to be programmed.
- 20:04Dr. Slaton Live: We're meant to understand, program and live with balance so that we can move through and manage our sense of feel for self and the brain.
- 20:16Dr. Slaton Live: We're inside the box, inside the workplace, inside the school, inside the neighborhood, and methodically move through those events because our brains and the lead and it's figuring out the people, the environment, the tools, the technologies, all those things.
- 20:39Dr. Slaton Live: You're evolving from one stage to the next and it can be confusing because you have to constantly ground yourself and understanding what your sense of feel is Right.
- 20:50Dr. Slaton Live: It's a research act.
- 20:54Dr. Slaton Live: That's the first thing you realize when you were born.
- 20:57Dr. Slaton Live: We go back to the base Sense of feel for self.
- 21:00Dr. Slaton Live: Right Now, listen to this one Sense feel to focus.
- 21:06Dr. Slaton Live: You breathe, you cried, you moved and from that point on you became and what have you become?
- 21:18Dr. Slaton Live: That's what we're talking about.
- 21:20Dr. Slaton Live: There's a passage.
- 21:23Dr. Slaton Live: And those experiences are fluid and we're saying you're changed by everything you experience, and that's because we're human and you're not supposed to resist the change.
- 21:37Dr. Slaton Live: Listen, the change can be bad, but that's why you experience it, because you have a knowledge base.
- 21:44Dr. Slaton Live: That's what you recover, because what are you trying to do?
- 21:47Dr. Slaton Live: Process it, and then your response.
- 21:52Dr. Slaton Live: Your response, your response is not programmed, it's not predictable, because you are going to respond based upon the experiences of self and the brain in relation to the contact and the environment, because now you have a sense of awareness on the front.
- 22:07Dr. Slaton Live: But who's in the lead?
- 22:09Dr. Slaton Live: Your brain so is, as the feedback comes back, what's receiving at the brain, what's processing your sense of field for self?
- 22:19Dr. Slaton Live: What's processing your sense of field for self Now?
- 22:24Dr. Slaton Live: How do you know what you know, why you know, how you know, when you know where you know those things?
- 22:33Dr. Slaton Live: That's what we're talking about, because your sense of feel for self is a research act.
- 22:38Dr. Slaton Live: It's act to live each day, to become more informed, and as you become more informed you become more whole.
- 22:48Dr. Slaton Live: I'm talking about your processing because when you reflect, it's a synthesis, right?
- 22:53Dr. Slaton Live: So there's three things I always talk about the emotion, I'm not afraid of it, the thought, I'm not afraid of it being in my sense, and receive past interplay, because I understand that that's a battle between the affect and effect, because one is controlled by the environment because I live through contact, contact, and the other is controlled by neural processes because I am inside my body.
- 23:22Dr. Slaton Live: So I realized the conflict or the confusion, but I also know that I have to cooperate to get through it.
- 23:30Dr. Slaton Live: I mean, here I am and I'm in a situation and it could be confusing, but I'm trying to get through it and I try to get through it.
- 23:40Dr. Slaton Live: The first thing I'm trying to do is reflect Now, what did I mean?
- 23:43Dr. Slaton Live: How did I get here?
- 23:45Dr. Slaton Live: I'm asking my sense of feel for self to connect the brain and tell the brain send me this information.
- 23:51Dr. Slaton Live: I need to know what happened and why.
- 23:55Dr. Slaton Live: I'm here.
- 23:56Dr. Slaton Live: Reflection, synthesis, pulling from your brain, body and sense events, characteristics, nervous systems, right, the flow of information through the veins, connecting any alarms.
- 24:14Dr. Slaton Live: Okay, now you have the information.
- 24:17Dr. Slaton Live: Now, what do you do?
- 24:18Dr. Slaton Live: See, that's a reflection a synthesis of these events, your whole human system working collectively to solve the issue.
- 24:30Dr. Slaton Live: Okay, so I'm walking towards the refrigerator.
- 24:32Dr. Slaton Live: I just thought, I thought I was going to get some milk, but then I got to the fridge, and I forgot.
- 24:38Dr. Slaton Live: Oh my goodness, is that brain fog or am I just overworking and trying to do too many things at the same time?
- 24:47Dr. Slaton Live: No, it's brain fog.
- 24:49Dr. Slaton Live: But why do you have brain fog?
- 24:51Dr. Slaton Live: You know why?
- 24:52Dr. Slaton Live: Because it's natural Now, when you're always trying to work through your sense of field for self and the brain, the fact that you're aware, when you got to the refrigerator, okay, and you said, now, let me figure this out.
- 25:07Dr. Slaton Live: You look within yourself, you said, okay, this is going to be a reflection, synthesize this for me.
- 25:12Dr. Slaton Live: And your brain says, okay, but it's going through a whole lot of things.
- 25:14Dr. Slaton Live: But then, a few minutes later, either you find her, a few minutes later, self research, a few minutes later, you realize what you went to the refrigerator for.
- 25:22Dr. Slaton Live: But the key point is no one had to tell you, no one had to remind you.
- 25:27Dr. Slaton Live: Your brain kept working Right.
- 25:30Dr. Slaton Live: And what is that?
- 25:31Dr. Slaton Live: What is that?
- 25:32Dr. Slaton Live: A sense of feel for self and the brain?
- 25:35Dr. Slaton Live: No, because you believe.
- 25:36Dr. Slaton Live: You believe that your brains in the lead.
- 25:39Dr. Slaton Live: You don't get upset because you forgot something, not if you feel your brain is working on it and you, you're working with it.
- 25:47Dr. Slaton Live: Okay.
- 25:48Dr. Slaton Live: So there's a back.
- 25:49Dr. Slaton Live: Okay, and you realize, oh man, is that a memory issue?
- 25:52Dr. Slaton Live: No, because when I was talking to those seniors in that room, these were the things I was talking about.
- 26:00Dr. Slaton Live: But, more importantly, I needed to let them know they got to come back.
- 26:04Dr. Slaton Live: They got to come back and process this information, you see.
- 26:10Dr. Slaton Live: And so the journey is moving through the fear and anxiety of self, because when you do this, you have to compete.
- 26:18Dr. Slaton Live: No, you have to compete.
- 26:20Dr. Slaton Live: You have to compete with those other noises and sounds inside the room and you can't back down because you can't reach that level of functionality that you once were able to easily access.
- 26:33Dr. Slaton Live: You can't dummy down, you stand your ground, stand firm because you aren't elder, right, and you make them realize their place.
- 26:43Dr. Slaton Live: Why?
- 26:43Dr. Slaton Live: Because you're supposed to forget things as you get older.
- 26:48Dr. Slaton Live: You're supposed to withdraw your expressive identity to a loud and speak because you want to know who is this Relative, I used to know.
- 27:03Dr. Slaton Live: That now makes me feel so uncomfortable, see.
- 27:08Dr. Slaton Live: But all this work is being done because you're trying to teach people, to learn how to move through that sense of feel for self and don't reject it Just because it increases the anxiety, okay, just because it increases your inner tension, right.
- 27:31Dr. Slaton Live: And then the person is stressful.
- 27:35Dr. Slaton Live: So process it, process it, your body responds, the brain's body responds.
- 27:43Dr. Slaton Live: They did not have to talk to me.
- 27:45Dr. Slaton Live: I just read their body language and they were communicating Okay.
- 27:51Dr. Slaton Live: But what we're talking about is we're not saying they're stupid, we're saying they dummy down.
- 27:55Dr. Slaton Live: So now, the ignorant, how do you catch back up?
- 27:58Dr. Slaton Live: See, once you dummy down, who's going to do that brain work?
- 28:02Dr. Slaton Live: Who's going to do it for you?
- 28:03Dr. Slaton Live: No one.
- 28:03Dr. Slaton Live: So that you get older.
- 28:05Dr. Slaton Live: This is what I'm saying.
- 28:06Dr. Slaton Live: As you get older, you got to stay in the game, you got to keep on processing.
- 28:11Dr. Slaton Live: You cannot just say I'm not dealing with that, you're not going to go away.
- 28:18Dr. Slaton Live: You're disconnecting your knowledge base, because the way you survive is through comprehension of these experiences.
- 28:27Dr. Slaton Live: And as you begin to forget things, right, the brain doesn't stop working, not if you're working with it, especially if you understand what you're working with, right.
- 28:40Dr. Slaton Live: So what are you calling on?
- 28:41Dr. Slaton Live: So you don't have to be told, because you are already living through your brain, through your sense of feel for self.
- 28:47Dr. Slaton Live: So, as these things are happening to you, you're responding, but you're not afraid, because you understand, because you can measure and assess your sense of feel for self in the process cycle.
- 29:03Dr. Slaton Live: So you know what you're losing, but you also understand that you are still there.
- 29:09Dr. Slaton Live: So that's the measurement.
- 29:11Dr. Slaton Live: That's how I knew I could help, because at the end of the day they were attuned, right.
- 29:20Dr. Slaton Live: Everybody individually came back to me to continue those dialogues and I just was recording these things in my notes, right?
- 29:30Dr. Slaton Live: Mind you, there was the one person who I was specifically brought there to deal with.
- 29:37Dr. Slaton Live: I never directly interacted with that person.
- 29:41Dr. Slaton Live: I never.
- 29:42Dr. Slaton Live: Was stressing that person.
- 29:44Dr. Slaton Live: I was brought there by a family member.
- 29:47Dr. Slaton Live: That's who I interacted with, that's who I interacted through.
- 29:53Dr. Slaton Live: I only interacted with and through the people that move through that contact.
- 30:01Dr. Slaton Live: Because what was I supposed to do?
- 30:04Dr. Slaton Live: Show this person how to do a human systems research, investigation where they can then begin to understand self in relation to the environment and other people and then realize why the hurt was so significant inside the family system.
- 30:29Dr. Slaton Live: Right, because most people live through a sense of self, selfish, self centered, other than the sense of feel for self.
- 30:43Dr. Slaton Live: Because, I tell you again, the environment is in there, other people are in the environment.
- 30:48Dr. Slaton Live: So a sense of feel for self is the environment self right and it relates to the brain.
- 30:55Dr. Slaton Live: So you got self, other people in the environment.
- 30:59Dr. Slaton Live: So you're open to the contact, interaction from the environment and other people, because that's part of your study.
- 31:06Dr. Slaton Live: So you're not living through a sense of only self.
- 31:10Dr. Slaton Live: You've expanded to a sense of feel for the world, okay, and so you have to be concerned with keeping up with the things going on in the environment New cars, new refrigerators, new stores, new relatives, new friends, new, you see, because that's a feeling system.
- 31:32Dr. Slaton Live: You have a feel for that reality, those natural phenomenon that are reoccurring and building that knowledge base.
- 31:44Dr. Slaton Live: But when you don't have that through a sense of self, you're disconnected.
- 31:47Dr. Slaton Live: Your family broke.
- 31:49Dr. Slaton Live: How do you connect?
- 31:51Dr. Slaton Live: How do you come back If you never learned how to feel for each other?
- 31:55Dr. Slaton Live: That's the problem, that's the learning crisis.
- 31:58Dr. Slaton Live: Because you have to feel it.
- 31:59Dr. Slaton Live: You have to feel it and move through it.
- 32:01Dr. Slaton Live: And the hurt, the sadness, you got to experience that why?
- 32:06Dr. Slaton Live: Because that is our family that's in crisis and you're building knowledge base.
- 32:13Dr. Slaton Live: Yes, it hurts, but allow your brain to respond with you in a lead.
- 32:18Dr. Slaton Live: You live through it, you move through it.
- 32:19Dr. Slaton Live: This is what I'm saying.
- 32:21Dr. Slaton Live: You move beyond it, okay, yeah, they're hurt, but you're moving out of it.
- 32:27Dr. Slaton Live: You're hurt too, but you're not as hurt because you're doing the work, the brainwork, to accept the fact that you got a broke family and this is what you have to do.
- 32:37Dr. Slaton Live: You do what you can.
- 32:39Dr. Slaton Live: Then you keep it moving.
- 32:41Dr. Slaton Live: Why?
- 32:41Dr. Slaton Live: Because you are part of the savior, you're part of what's right about the family, so you can improve because you're the model sociologically.
- 32:51Dr. Slaton Live: As I always point out, the social cognitive effect is you.
- 32:54Dr. Slaton Live: Everybody can see you.
- 32:56Dr. Slaton Live: They can see the choices and decisions that you're making that are different from theirs, and that's why you're being successful, and you have people changing inside your family system because they're watching you.
- 33:07Dr. Slaton Live: They're not talking to you, but they're watching you and as they watch and observe you, right, they're allowing that interaction to reach their brain.
- 33:17Dr. Slaton Live: Even if the respond to you.
- 33:17Dr. Slaton Live: lash out at you in envy and jealousy, right?
- 33:25Dr. Slaton Live: You have a handle on that because you expect it, because you understand that you're making different choices and decisions with the information flow that they're not willing to do or go through because of all the things you have to do mentally to be competent as the person you are.
- 33:47Dr. Slaton Live: We're talking about the learning crisis.
- 33:49Dr. Slaton Live: This is Dr Christopher Kevin Slaton, you know I'm always trying to recognize the beauty in what we're trying to do.
- 33:57Dr. Slaton Live: and that is, improve the delivery of learning support services right, so that we can have safer homes, safer schools, safer neighborhoods, safer workplaces, to improve family, education, government and business systems.
- 34:15Dr. Slaton Live: Because the learning crisis has affected environment.
- 34:21Dr. Slaton Live: Drugs.
- 34:22Dr. Slaton Live: I always go back to drugs, because children cannot be children when the surroundings are occupied by drug abusers, misusers.
- 34:38Dr. Slaton Live: Because it changes everything.
- 34:40Dr. Slaton Live: It changes the experience of self and other people.
- 34:43Dr. Slaton Live: Why?
- 34:44Dr. Slaton Live: Because they don't care.
- 34:45Dr. Slaton Live: How can they care when their sense of self has been decimated, even if they didn't know they had it?
- 34:52Dr. Slaton Live: But when you're on drugs, you're really lost Because you're really disconnected.
- 34:58Dr. Slaton Live: And so when we talk about the children, the children looking up and saying, well, he doesn't care, they don't feel you anymore, or they probably never did.
- 35:08Dr. Slaton Live: But that's why we're talking about this, that's why each session, I'm going to another level of the brains-body learning system.
- 35:17Dr. Slaton Live: See, because we got to reconnect, not reconnect.
- 35:20Dr. Slaton Live: We have to understand the interplay between sense and receive path functioning that you control.
- 35:26Dr. Slaton Live: When I talk about neuroscience or psychology, we're talking about human learning Right through human system science, the natural, the natural signs of studying self Self-help.
- 35:41Dr. Slaton Live: You reach it within yourself and just working to understand this is research, self research, self-help for self discovery.
- 35:51Dr. Slaton Live: So I can begin to change from the inside out, because that's Mastery of your brain, body and sense events.
- 36:04Dr. Slaton Live: the sense and receive functions are Balanced.
- 36:09Dr. Slaton Live: But you got to know, because a lot of things you got to choose to do, that may, on the front, negatively or make you feel uncomfortable, but as you begin to learn how to move through this experience of self in relation to the people in the environment, you begin to realize that when people attack you.
- 36:34Dr. Slaton Live: you got an automatic defense that comes straight through your brain, your brains are responding.
- 36:39Dr. Slaton Live: You're not getting emotional, you're moving through it.
- 36:43Dr. Slaton Live: Now wait a minute.
- 36:44Dr. Slaton Live: No, no, wait a minute, because when I say you're not getting emotional, I mean you don't have emotion, it means that it's managed Because the brains in the lead, the brain expects and anticipates why, because you're a performer, you don't just react, you act through Contact, with the intent to interact, to transfer that information.
- 37:08Dr. Slaton Live: So, your brain alright.
- 37:09Dr. Slaton Live: Remember your brains already sending feedback, forward feed, is already doing it from your knowledge base, and that's what I'm talking about the brains and the leader, the body.
- 37:20Dr. Slaton Live: And so when I'm out there in public and I'm being attacked, I'm okay Because I trust that my brains and lead of the body and I just moved through it, through my sense of feel for self and the brain and Everything I may say or do wrong is automatically alarms going off, see.
- 37:46Dr. Slaton Live: So that's what I mean when I say If you feel a reaction, the brains already sitting forward feed to respond.
- 37:53Dr. Slaton Live: That's like you did it, but then you say messed up, but you catch up.
- 38:01Dr. Slaton Live: We started off talking about this, right, because that's what you gotta learn to catch up.
- 38:06Dr. Slaton Live: You catch up by understanding how your brain works and what your brains able to do.
- 38:12Dr. Slaton Live: When you learn, through your sense of feel for self, how to help, because you're inside the body, the brains, body Can you learn that, the brains, body and then understand what that really means.
- 38:27Dr. Slaton Live: Control that mood state, control that mood.
- 38:31Dr. Slaton Live: That's the business body.
- 38:32Dr. Slaton Live: Control that mood state, manage, that state of mind, manage that negative reflection okay, of all the things that happened that may be explainable, unexplainable Manage, manage, manage, focus, focus that energy.
- 38:54Dr. Slaton Live: That's what I just said.
- 38:56Dr. Slaton Live: So, when you're attacked, you're focused.
- 39:00Dr. Slaton Live: Why?
- 39:01Dr. Slaton Live: Because you're choosing to win.
- 39:03Dr. Slaton Live: You're choosing to maintain your sense of feel for self and not be changed by the flow of negative energy that's aimed at changing you.
- 39:14Dr. Slaton Live: No, you go to another level, you change at the next level of evolution, because you read it and you moving through it and you respond and they mean I realize it, but you do Now, that's the one thing the elders understand.
- 39:34Dr. Slaton Live: See, they understand, they see, they see that they've been here, they done it, you know, and that reflection, that reflection when it's moving through a neural feedback loop, right, but you got to trust yourself.
- 39:51Dr. Slaton Live: You got to trust that you have a nervous system, that your nervous system is constantly moving information through you and sometimes you're going to be confused by brain fog, because you're always working through your brain, you're walking around, you're going, yeah, because what are you doing?
- 40:13Dr. Slaton Live: You're thinking about, thinking through your feelings.
- 40:18Dr. Slaton Live: It's been Doc Slate live again, the brains body podcast.
- 40:22Dr. Slaton Live: I want to thank you all for listening and I want to thank you for that Special number of 750 downloads.
- 40:30Dr. Slaton Live: I hope you keep it up.
