touched when I saw the thing because I'm a student

of revival. I have studied the moves of God, and

I have seen what God is able to do in

the life of an individual, in the life of a

principles that ignite and keep the move of God. And

so I want to talk for a few minutes, and

to someone's spiritual life.

Speaker 2: In Jesus' name, we pray very quickly. What is an awakening?

Speaker 4: You know, we talk a lot about the moves of God, revivals,

you know, renewals and awakenings. I define awakenings as a

moment of restored or heightened God consciousness. A moment of

restored or heightened God consciousness, meaning that this is a

moment where God is able to restore God consciousness or
5:36
heighten God consciousness. It is a moment of passion for

God with a renewed determination to love Him, to know him,

to live for him.

Speaker 4: It is a moment that is characterized by passion for

and to leave for him. Let's look at Second Chronicles

towards their spiritual vibrancy, and he uses an expression of sleep.

Speaker 2: Says, and rise from the dead, and Christ will give

And you know the remaining part of the story.

Speaker 4: Sleep in the Bible generally has been used both negatively

and positively. For instance, when the Bible talks about God

giving his beloved sleep, that is in a positive sense,

but generally speaking, when we talk about sleep, and I'm

using that to connect with the subject of awakening. So

the Bible says, if a man is not awakened spiritually,

the opposite of that is that he's in a state

of sleep away together. And there's been three expressions of

sleep according to scripture.

Speaker 4: When the Bible talks about sleep, it is the natural

expression of it, as we know, rest from exhaustion, rest

from tiredness after a day's work, and so on and

so forth. You find that, for instance, in Some for

of sleep as we know. Some chapter four and verse eight,

it says, I will both lay me down in peace

in safety. So this definition of sleep talks about rest,

individual from a spiritual standpoint can be in a state

Speaker 4: I'm not a medical doctor, but then I not this

much about sleep that they are two characteristic futures that

really show that a person is asleep. Number One, you

lose consciousness of your immediate environment. Am I right on that?

time talking to them, they're not there at all. Some

they're gone. So the position doesn't really matter. But one

thing that characterizes sleep is that you lose consciousness of

your immediate environment.

pass a message across to someone who is asleep.

life that is declining spiritually. And as you listen, I

want you to use this and examine yourself. And if

to receive when we're receiving, to contend in the spirit

I'm going to give you five signs of spiritual decline.

You can use this to test any life, doesn't matter

if you're a preacher, doesn't matter, if you are walking

a prophetic instruction for us, those who are here and

first area of awakening that we need to pay attention

The first area of awakening is greater passion for Jesus.
