Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: I have always wanted to have a neighbor.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Today's riety Big ninety eight point seven. Good morning. This
- 0:05Speaker 2: is Gabe and Angie. And if you remember, there was
- 0:09Speaker 2: a time very recently, was this just last week where
- 0:13Speaker 2: you had the oopsidais's on your neighbor's ring?
- 0:17Speaker 1: Came, Oh, my gosh, yes, it was last week.
- 0:20Speaker 3: My neighbor's trash always blows into my yard and I
- 0:23Speaker 3: try to be really chill about it because I'm not
- 0:25Speaker 3: a regular neighbor.
- 0:26Speaker 1: I'm a cool neighbor.
- 0:28Speaker 3: But this last time I was losing my mind because
- 0:32Speaker 3: it was raining when it was also really windy, and.
- 0:35Speaker 1: It was bathroom trash that blew into my eyes.
- 0:38Speaker 3: So it was really Yes, it was gross, and I
- 0:40Speaker 3: was picking up all the trash with a plastic bag,
- 0:44Speaker 3: but I really was like cursing under my breath, above
- 0:48Speaker 3: my breath, I was saying all kinds of things, and
- 0:51Speaker 3: then I realized, oh, I think their ring camera is
- 0:54Speaker 3: picking up everything that I am saying. Because when my
- 0:59Speaker 3: neighbor got home, she immediately like got out of the
- 1:03Speaker 3: car and was like, I need trash bags now, And
- 1:05Speaker 3: it's like, how did you know that I was cursing?
- 1:07Speaker 1: You?
- 1:08Speaker 3: What?
- 1:08Speaker 2: Oh well, I don't know if you know this, but
- 1:10Speaker 2: I have one of those ringcams Angie, and through it,
- 1:14Speaker 2: you're kind of able to, you know, meet people, say
- 1:18Speaker 2: hi in the same neighborhood message people. Yeah, we both
- 1:22Speaker 2: live in South Fargo, and I wanted to help you
- 1:26Speaker 2: try to clear the air. I apologize for just spurring
- 1:29Speaker 2: this on you here, but I do have Angie's neighbor
- 1:32Speaker 2: on the phone right here. Yes, we do have Angie's
- 1:36Speaker 2: neighbor on the phone. Angie's neighbor, how are you doing today?
- 1:39Speaker 4: I'm all right, yeah, I'm okay, right.
- 1:43Speaker 2: And see, I like to be a mediator. I want
- 1:45Speaker 2: to try to mend the fences. Now. I don't even
- 1:48Speaker 2: know if you guys have a fence, but we're going
- 1:49Speaker 2: to try to mend that bad boy Angie's neighbor. Can
- 1:53Speaker 2: I ask, did you see what happened with Ange and
- 1:57Speaker 2: the backyard or the front yard excuse me, rash being
- 2:01Speaker 2: blown around? And or did you catch her on your
- 2:03Speaker 2: ring cam talking to Hella Junk about you.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean it's hard to ignore, Like you get
- 2:10Speaker 4: those notifications and all of a sudden my phone was
- 2:13Speaker 4: blowing up with like all of these things happening outside,
- 2:16Speaker 4: and so there she was kind of, you know, rolling
- 2:18Speaker 4: around in the front yard and you know, saying really
- 2:21Speaker 4: inappropriate things. So yes, I should catch it, high endgy.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Yeah, you just see this, this little five to one,
- 2:29Speaker 2: this little short little lady just crabby in the in
- 2:32Speaker 2: the front driveway. I get it. Can I ask, though,
- 2:34Speaker 2: is there any way that you know we can maybe
- 2:37Speaker 2: hash this out together here on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 2:39Speaker 2: I think you know you guys are neighbors. I want
- 2:41Speaker 2: you to be on good terms at least.
- 2:43Speaker 4: I mean, I'm open for an apology for some of
- 2:46Speaker 4: this stuff that was said, I guess, but I don't
- 2:48Speaker 4: think I did anything wrong here are you seriously?
- 2:52Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, Okay, I don't love that you heard
- 2:56Speaker 3: me saying all those things, but like I was very frustrated,
- 3:01Speaker 3: and I don't know if you know this, and it
- 3:03Speaker 3: was my bad for not going to you. Oh my gosh,
- 3:05Speaker 3: I'm really nervous. My bad for not going to you
- 3:10Speaker 3: in the first place. But your trash always blows into
- 3:15Speaker 3: my yard like always, and I don't I don't know,
- 3:19Speaker 3: like why your trash can is out there on not
- 3:22Speaker 3: trash days, I don't know. But your trash is always
- 3:24Speaker 3: blowing into my yard and I never say anything because
- 3:27Speaker 3: I try to be cool.
- 3:28Speaker 4: But how do you know it's my trash? How is
- 3:33Speaker 4: it like not someone else's, Like the wind just blows
- 3:35Speaker 4: right like I could do from anywhere.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Okay, because yours is the trash can that's out there.
- 3:41Speaker 3: No one else's trash can is out and then I'll
- 3:43Speaker 3: see the trash can lid flipped up and trash coming out.
- 3:48Speaker 1: And I know that you have kids.
- 3:49Speaker 3: We both have kids, and like a lot of the
- 3:51Speaker 3: trash is like kids snack stuff and everything.
- 3:54Speaker 1: And the only reason that I got so.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Upset last week is because it was bathroom trash and
- 3:58Speaker 3: it was like wet, and I it is I will
- 4:01Speaker 3: take accountability. I should have said something to you earlier
- 4:04Speaker 3: because obviously you don't know that this is a problem,
- 4:06Speaker 3: but I'm saying now like it is an issue.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Is there any way that you can.
- 4:12Speaker 3: I don't know, keep your trash in the garage or
- 4:15Speaker 3: something like, I don't know what your garage looks like,
- 4:17Speaker 3: but I just because my trash cans aren't ever out
- 4:20Speaker 3: unless it's trash day, I mean.
- 4:22Speaker 4: It's not I have a hard time be taken responsibility
- 4:26Speaker 4: for it just because it's my husband's job. And I
- 4:28Speaker 4: really so I think maybe I'll have a talk with
- 4:30Speaker 4: him and that helps you out. But also like I
- 4:33Speaker 4: don't know where can I say.
- 4:34Speaker 3: This is where we like line up though, where you
- 4:37Speaker 3: say it's your husband's job. Yeah, it is the husband's job.
- 4:41Speaker 2: You know. I set this whole thing up for this
- 4:44Speaker 2: poor Now this poor guy is gonna go and come
- 4:47Speaker 2: home from work and have this conversation with Angie's neighbor
- 4:50Speaker 2: whoever your hubby is. Tell him I apologize, gave from
- 4:53Speaker 2: Big ninety eight point seven, got this whole thing in motion,
- 4:56Speaker 2: and now he's gonna just catch a grenade when he
- 4:58Speaker 2: walks home.
- 5:00Speaker 4: Well, you know, like I'm sure you've seen John before, Angie,
- 5:04Speaker 4: like he you know, he doesn't like to do a
- 5:08Speaker 4: lot of extra chores, so he's not out there very often.
- 5:10Speaker 4: So I think he just likes to leave it out there.
- 5:12Speaker 4: And you're right, I didn't know that this was happening.
- 5:14Speaker 4: I was very irritated hearing some of these things.
- 5:17Speaker 3: That you said.
- 5:18Speaker 4: I'm sorry about it, but I can understand like why
- 5:22Speaker 4: that was the more in frustration. I really just don't
- 5:24Speaker 4: want that to lend with you because that is not fun.
- 5:26Speaker 4: And we had a terrible relationship with the neighbor in
- 5:30Speaker 4: that house before you got there. We did not get along.
- 5:33Speaker 4: So I really just want to like, maybe.
- 5:34Speaker 1: It was the trash. No, I'm kidding too soon.
- 5:37Speaker 3: I'm just kidding.
- 5:39Speaker 4: Maybe, okay.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Ron, Well, gosh, I was so nervous and I'm kind
- 5:43Speaker 3: of mad at you, Gabe, Okay, but good that we
- 5:47Speaker 3: had this talk because I didn't.
- 5:49Speaker 1: I do feel bad.
- 5:50Speaker 3: I didn't want you to hear me say all kind
- 5:52Speaker 3: of awful things. So I feel bad that I was
- 5:56Speaker 3: so rude, but it was just out of frustration because
- 5:59Speaker 3: of the trash. But I don't think like anything bad
- 6:01Speaker 3: about you as a person or anything, Okay, because I
- 6:04Speaker 3: think I said that you were trashy, but I just
- 6:06Speaker 3: meant literally the yard was trashy.
- 6:09Speaker 4: No, I think what we need to do, like I'll
- 6:11Speaker 4: bring over some wine and let's just sit there and
- 6:14Speaker 4: like hate manment.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Okay again, we'll.
- 6:19Speaker 4: Make this better and I'll yeah, I'll talk to him
- 6:21Speaker 4: about it. I'm sorry, does that happened next? I'm just
- 6:23Speaker 4: like not gonna let us know, Like you know, you're right,
- 6:26Speaker 4: we'll figure it out.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Okay, thank you.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Yeah, thank you so much. I think, yeah, thank you
- 6:32Speaker 2: so much, Angie's neighbor. I really appreciate this. You know.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Somehow I can always turn this around as a positive
- 6:38Speaker 2: for me. I am such a beast. I'll just put
- 6:40Speaker 2: together two new besties so no one can do it
- 6:43Speaker 2: like me. Here on Big ninety eight point seven, we
- 6:50Speaker 2: have gotten a good habit of starting off the show
- 6:53Speaker 2: with some positivity, a nice reason to smile and get
- 6:56Speaker 2: our days started. Angie, do you have a little victory?
- 6:59Speaker 3: I do so, you know, Gabe, I am locked in
- 7:03Speaker 3: right now in terms of I need to get in shape,
- 7:06Speaker 3: my guy. My birthday is in a month, oh my gosh,
- 7:09Speaker 3: in exactly one month, and I just want to feel
- 7:13Speaker 3: I'm like a little cuner for that. So on this
- 7:15Speaker 3: little health journey that I'm on, I've been making sure
- 7:19Speaker 3: that I hit my protein goals for the day. And
- 7:22Speaker 3: I've got like a five day streak of hitting my
- 7:24Speaker 3: protein goal.
- 7:25Speaker 1: And that's a major for me.
- 7:27Speaker 3: That's awesome, thank you, Because normally I just live off carbs.
- 7:30Speaker 3: I'm a carb ho and all I want to do
- 7:34Speaker 3: is eat bread, and so I've had to make some
- 7:37Speaker 3: adjustments so that I hit my protein goal, so I'm
- 7:42Speaker 3: very proud.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Fantastic, that's fantastic.
- 7:45Speaker 1: What's your little victory, Gabe.
- 7:47Speaker 2: I guess I've gone the complete other way. I'm going
- 7:49Speaker 2: to just be a fat fat here. I am so jacked.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Do you remember yesterday here with Big ninety eight point seven,
- 7:54Speaker 2: we got to go to Buffalo Wild Wings on Nineteenth
- 7:58Speaker 2: Avenue North Oh, yeah, anniversary, Yes, And before we left
- 8:03Speaker 2: we got some food. I went home completely forgot all
- 8:07Speaker 2: about that, hmm, and I completely forgot to bring them here.
- 8:11Speaker 2: So but the good the little victory is when I
- 8:14Speaker 2: get home, I'm gonna have just the dopest lunch ever. Oh.
- 8:18Speaker 2: I'm excited, perfect like amount where you eat and you
- 8:22Speaker 2: feel like you ate something. But I'll be just fine
- 8:24Speaker 2: to eat dinner. Yeah.
- 8:26Speaker 3: The few things are as great as looking forward to
- 8:30Speaker 3: a meal you know is gonna hit.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Yes, it's just the perfect amount. I think there's like five,
- 8:35Speaker 2: four or five I guess I don't know how many
- 8:37Speaker 2: of the other ones Corey took, but you know there's
- 8:39Speaker 2: like four or five wings in there. It's gonna be
- 8:41Speaker 2: the perfect two o'clock snack for your boy.
- 8:44Speaker 1: I'm very excited for you.
- 8:45Speaker 3: I'll be having my protein and broccoli.
- 8:55Speaker 2: And speaking of the sunshine, it is June. I know,
- 8:58Speaker 2: the official offish like calendar start to the summer is
- 9:03Speaker 2: what June like twenty first or something.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Yeah, but who cares.
- 9:06Speaker 3: The official start of summer as far as I'm concerned,
- 9:08Speaker 3: is happy Harry's rid fast.
- 9:10Speaker 2: That's right. And one thing we do just want to
- 9:13Speaker 2: remind you of here, like today, mostly sunny, and if
- 9:16Speaker 2: you're gonna be out and about at the beach or
- 9:18Speaker 2: maybe you're cycling right, riding your bicycle or whatever, right,
- 9:26Speaker 2: sunscreen up, layer up. You just gotta protect that skin
- 9:29Speaker 2: because if you don't, if you are sadly a shade
- 9:34Speaker 2: of white, you could end up with some pretty severe
- 9:39Speaker 2: sun's sun burns. Have you ever been burnt, Angie that
- 9:42Speaker 2: it was so bad?
- 9:43Speaker 1: You remember, Gabe, I don't burn. I brown, I don't
- 9:48Speaker 1: get the sunburn, right, must be nice.
- 9:51Speaker 3: It's it's the melanin. I'm Cuban bee, that's why. But
- 9:56Speaker 3: my kids are not full Cuban, they're half white, and
- 9:59Speaker 3: I really have to make sure their sunscreen.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Okay, I sun screen up.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Too, just because you know, melanoma is a thing and whatever.
- 10:05Speaker 3: But yeah, my kids have gotten some pretty bad burns before, specifically.
- 10:11Speaker 1: On the tops of their feet.
- 10:13Speaker 3: I feel like that's where we always forget, yeah, to
- 10:16Speaker 3: put some bluck on the tops of your feet so
- 10:18Speaker 3: they're protected everywhere.
- 10:19Speaker 1: But then they've got these bright red feet.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Yeah. I remember I fell asleep. I was at this beach.
- 10:25Speaker 2: I didn't really like fall asleep, but I was like,
- 10:27Speaker 2: you know, kind of dozing and it was one of
- 10:30Speaker 2: those lean back lawn chairs, arms up over the head,
- 10:34Speaker 2: and I got a sunburn, like in my arm pit
- 10:38Speaker 2: underarm area. It was the most uncomfortable I think I'd
- 10:42Speaker 2: ever been in my life, because there is zero you
- 10:46Speaker 2: can do to fix that. If you mate, you know,
- 10:48Speaker 2: you think, oh, maybe you don't wear a shirt because
- 10:50Speaker 2: you won't rub on your the cotton shirts or whatever. Yeah,
- 10:53Speaker 2: but your arms are still hanging down when you walk,
- 10:55Speaker 2: when you move whatever.
- 10:57Speaker 1: And how was putting deodorant?
- 10:58Speaker 2: Yeah, you put on a d Yeah, it's just you know,
- 11:00Speaker 2: like razor blades on your pits. Oh, it was just
- 11:04Speaker 2: a nightmare. So I have I don't want to say
- 11:07Speaker 2: my sunscreen game has improved, but the how I position
- 11:11Speaker 2: myself from the fall on the beach has improved. I
- 11:14Speaker 2: do sunscreen up fairly well for the most part.
- 11:16Speaker 1: The good news.
- 11:17Speaker 2: I don't know why. I'm just lucky. I tan pretty
- 11:19Speaker 2: well as opposed to my wife. She goes from uh,
- 11:22Speaker 2: like clear. She wouldn't appreciate me saying that she goes
- 11:28Speaker 2: from you know, a palish to a red to back
- 11:32Speaker 2: to pale. She just doesn't really get man. Yeah, and
- 11:35Speaker 2: I was kind of wondering here this morning, just to
- 11:38Speaker 2: get everyone in the frame of mind. Hey, putting on
- 11:41Speaker 2: sunscreen is important. It's June, Summer's here, happy Harry's rib
- 11:45Speaker 2: festus here. You might be walking around tank top on,
- 11:47Speaker 2: whatever the case may be. Layer up the sunscreen. What
- 11:50Speaker 2: is the worst sunburn you remember having me? He was
- 11:53Speaker 2: falling asleep and sunburn like in my armpit, like upper
- 11:56Speaker 2: rib area. It was horrible. Eric, What about you, dude,
- 11:59Speaker 2: you're sunburn? Oh my god. It was two summers ago.
- 12:03Speaker 2: I fell asleep in my yard for almost two hours.
- 12:06Speaker 4: I couldn't move.
- 12:07Speaker 5: I got into the coldest shower and stood there for
- 12:10Speaker 5: at least thirty minutes.
- 12:12Speaker 4: You could feel the heat just washing off of me.
- 12:14Speaker 2: And it happens before you can even you even realize. Yeah,
- 12:19Speaker 2: if you're outside, even just like being outside reading your book,
- 12:22Speaker 2: if your feet are like sitting up or you know,
- 12:25Speaker 2: stretched out, Yeah, and the sun can hit the bottom
- 12:28Speaker 2: of your feet. I know people who've gotten sunburn on
- 12:30Speaker 2: the bottom of their feet bottom. Yeah, and think about
- 12:33Speaker 2: every step you take you get just that little sting.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Oh yeah, pretty insane, Samantha, what about you.
- 12:40Speaker 5: I was actually in Turks and Keikos and my entire
- 12:42Speaker 5: face blistered up. This has never happened to me before.
- 12:46Speaker 5: It was crazy, but it was all due to my
- 12:48Speaker 5: face acne medication.
- 12:50Speaker 2: It was the worst experience of my life. That would Yeah,
- 12:53Speaker 2: that'd be Terri.
- 12:53Speaker 1: That's so tough.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Like I my face card it doesn't decline, but it
- 12:59Speaker 3: definitely gives me the notification low balance if anything happens
- 13:03Speaker 3: to my face.
- 13:04Speaker 1: It really stresses me out.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Really yeah yeah, speaking of that, Samantha, Turks and Caico,
- 13:10Speaker 2: So I gotta start hanging out with Samantha a blast.
- 13:20Speaker 2: We're gonna find out if someone is at fault here,
- 13:23Speaker 2: or maybe it's the other person's fault. Am I the problem?
- 13:26Speaker 1: We will find out.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Amelia sent us an email and this is a dating scenario.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Oh I know tons about this.
- 13:36Speaker 3: Okay, Gabe, all right, expert Dear Gabe and Angie. I've
- 13:43Speaker 3: noticed a pattern on dates with men. I ask a
- 13:46Speaker 3: lot of questions because I'm genuinely curious about people and
- 13:49Speaker 3: love learning what makes them tick. When I show this interest,
- 13:53Speaker 3: men often really like me, but the feeling isn't mutual.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Many don't ask anything in return, not even basic like
- 14:00Speaker 3: what I do or what I'm into. Once I went
- 14:03Speaker 3: on a date where I carried the conversation entirely. The
- 14:06Speaker 3: moment he finished talking about himself, it went silent. He
- 14:10Speaker 3: didn't ask a single question about me. If I hadn't
- 14:13Speaker 3: said my name, I'm not sure he would have known it.
- 14:16Speaker 3: I ended it and he was shocked, But to me,
- 14:19Speaker 3: his lack of curiosity showed zero interest. It's happened often
- 14:22Speaker 3: enough that now I see it as a bit of
- 14:24Speaker 3: a test. If a guy asks nothing about me, I
- 14:27Speaker 3: don't continue. Maybe I just want to feel understood, or
- 14:31Speaker 3: maybe it's just basic respect. Am I the problem for
- 14:34Speaker 3: this game and ending things early? If a guy shows
- 14:37Speaker 3: no interest in who I am, you know me. I'm
- 14:41Speaker 3: a girl's girl, Gabe, So I feel like Amelia is
- 14:45Speaker 3: one hundred percent correct in doing this because I feel
- 14:49Speaker 3: like I've been in similar situations and I had a
- 14:51Speaker 3: girlfriend ask me once like when you go on these dates.
- 14:54Speaker 1: So this is back in the day, it's been one
- 14:55Speaker 1: hundred years.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Way, but it's like, did you have a good time
- 15:00Speaker 3: because he was a good time or did you make
- 15:03Speaker 3: it a good time because you are the interesting one
- 15:05Speaker 3: who's like trying to find things out.
- 15:07Speaker 2: And whatever it is to be a good time.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Right, And so I feel like Amelia, like this has
- 15:13Speaker 3: got to be torture at some point where Okay, I'm
- 15:17Speaker 3: asking him all these things and he doesn't ask me
- 15:20Speaker 3: a single question. I feel like, Amelia, you are correct.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Keep it moving. Yeah, what do you think, Gabe?
- 15:26Speaker 3: I just I see you making little faces over there?
- 15:29Speaker 3: What do you think about this cituasion?
- 15:33Speaker 2: I don't think there's anything wrong with playing this little
- 15:35Speaker 2: game for yourself. Obviously, is someone on a date should
- 15:39Speaker 2: you should have at least a tiny bit of riz
- 15:42Speaker 2: to ask someone a question about themselves?
- 15:45Speaker 3: Right?
- 15:45Speaker 2: But you know what I find so interesting about that
- 15:48Speaker 2: about these emails we always see, you know, why can't
- 15:52Speaker 2: we ever get an email where someone is just like
- 15:54Speaker 2: you know, everyone in these emails. I'm the greatest on dates.
- 15:58Speaker 2: I always ask question, I'm so curious. I want to
- 16:02Speaker 2: see an email one day where someone goes, you know what,
- 16:04Speaker 2: I'm kind of mid at dating, I'm sort of trash.
- 16:06Speaker 2: I'm probably not that interesting. Can we get some help?
- 16:10Speaker 1: How are I mean?
- 16:11Speaker 2: Everyone is always so the best? Okay, when we get
- 16:14Speaker 2: an email, who knows. Maybe this dude did ask some
- 16:17Speaker 2: questions and you're too busy judging or something. I don't know.
- 16:21Speaker 2: I'm just I really want to get to the bottom
- 16:23Speaker 2: of these darn emails. Sometimes I always ask questions, Oh
- 16:27Speaker 2: you do, who was it? What was this lady's name? Amelia?
- 16:32Speaker 3: You do?
- 16:32Speaker 2: Huh gab, I'm sure it's I'm sure she's correct, and
- 16:37Speaker 2: I'm just kind of having some fun with Amelia here.
- 16:39Speaker 2: But fellas ask a question, you gotta be better.
- 16:42Speaker 1: That is true, I will say.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Let you got you got two eyes and one mouth
- 16:46Speaker 2: and two ears, right, That means do more looking and
- 16:49Speaker 2: listening than you do talking. Oh I like that?
- 16:52Speaker 1: Is that how you landed your wife?
- 16:54Speaker 2: No, she barely speaks. I had to do it is
- 17:00Speaker 2: riety big ninety eight point seven, mostly Sonny and seventy
- 17:03Speaker 2: five Today for us, what.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Is the craziest thing you found out because you took
- 17:09Speaker 3: a DNA test seven oh one to two eight ozho
- 17:11Speaker 3: one ninety eight seven. Let us know, my boyfriend Mikey
- 17:16Speaker 3: just found out that he had a secret nephew one.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Of his brothers. Yeah, one of his brothers.
- 17:23Speaker 3: He's one of eight brothers, and so there were bound
- 17:26Speaker 3: to be some family secrets in there. And one of
- 17:29Speaker 3: his brothers was in the military and he was in
- 17:31Speaker 3: Vietnam and during his time stationed out there, he had
- 17:36Speaker 3: a little bit of a twist with someone.
- 17:40Speaker 1: That produced a son.
- 17:42Speaker 2: And wow.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Yeah, and so you know ancestry dot com or twenty
- 17:47Speaker 3: three and meters or whatever the thing. Maybe it was
- 17:51Speaker 3: found out that, okay, there's just a like a secret
- 17:54Speaker 3: son running around, which would make him my boyfriend's nephew.
- 18:00Speaker 2: There.
- 18:00Speaker 3: However, he passed away sadly of cancer before he could
- 18:04Speaker 3: meet this secret son that he had, and so at
- 18:08Speaker 3: the funeral was the first.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Time that anybody met this guy.
- 18:14Speaker 3: And so he you know, paid his respects to his father,
- 18:17Speaker 3: who he never got to meet.
- 18:18Speaker 1: But you know, then he gained a huge family.
- 18:21Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's just all because of a little DNA test.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Those are stories you read about on the Internet, you
- 18:27Speaker 2: never really get to experience them. No crazy.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Let me tell you. When he told me this, I
- 18:32Speaker 1: was like, what, unriveted? Where's the popcorn?
- 18:35Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 18:35Speaker 2: I get, where's the tell the four episode HBO television,
- 18:38Speaker 2: that's right, each episode is like an hour and twenty
- 18:41Speaker 2: five minutes.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Have you that's a little long.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Well it was only for them, Okay, that's fair. Yeah, Gabe.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Do you have you ever taken a DNA test? Did
- 18:50Speaker 3: you find out you had any rogue family members?
- 18:52Speaker 2: I found out I was not the father. No, I
- 18:56Speaker 2: have never done that. I've never ever taken a DNA test.
- 18:59Speaker 1: I've never taken one. And it's because part.
- 19:02Speaker 3: Of me is worried that my dad had some has
- 19:05Speaker 3: some ruggret. Well they're not regrets now where you'd all
- 19:08Speaker 3: be very old, right, But like that he would.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Have had some some people running around.
- 19:11Speaker 2: I don't know, and you don't know how you'd feel
- 19:13Speaker 2: about that.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Oh, because they're probably more attractive than me.
- 19:15Speaker 3: And that's that's the problem.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I'm kidding.
- 19:20Speaker 3: But I what have you found out anything crazy from
- 19:23Speaker 3: a DNA test? Seven oh one two eight oh one
- 19:25Speaker 3: ninety eight seven.
- 19:26Speaker 2: We do have Janine here, by the way, Janine what
- 19:29Speaker 2: about you.
- 19:30Speaker 5: I found out I'm mostly what I expected, but there
- 19:33Speaker 5: was a little surprise. It turns out I've got some
- 19:35Speaker 5: Scandinavian and make ten.
- 19:37Speaker 1: No family drama, just a few.
- 19:39Speaker 5: Extra countries to pretend I'm connected to. When I watched
- 19:41Speaker 5: Nordic crime shows.
- 19:43Speaker 2: That's exactly how I feel. I'm one of those scandal randos,
- 19:46Speaker 2: is what I like to call it. Just give me
- 19:47Speaker 2: all those random Scandinavian countries that makes up here.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Yeah, what's the what's that museum?
- 19:52Speaker 3: The yem Yum coast, yem cum Yum in my head,
- 19:58Speaker 3: the Viking Museum. You can say that like you belong
- 20:02Speaker 3: to stop looking at me like that.
- 20:03Speaker 2: I was gonna let you sit in that for a while.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Great, thanks, I appreciate you.
- 20:08Speaker 2: I can't remember either off to look it up.
- 20:10Speaker 1: I know.
- 20:10Speaker 2: I had to say it in an an once.
- 20:12Speaker 3: Yeah I went there, And now you can Pretendine can
- 20:15Speaker 3: pretend like, yeah, that's her lineage.
- 20:17Speaker 2: We have Blake on the phone. What about you, Blake tell.
- 20:19Speaker 5: A friend of mine learned that his father wasn't his
- 20:22Speaker 5: biological father, but he didn't care, you know, he just
- 20:26Speaker 5: still considers him his father.
- 20:27Speaker 4: He raised him his whole life, and that's what counts.
- 20:30Speaker 2: That is what counts.
- 20:32Speaker 1: But then it begs the question, who is the real father?
- 20:35Speaker 2: I what a roller coaster of a phone call. I
- 20:37Speaker 2: went from h oh, Today's riety big ninety eight point
- 20:44Speaker 2: seven sonny and seventy five today.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Don't want no short man? Oh, I don't want no what.
- 20:53Speaker 2: That's so sad. That kind of breaks my heart. He
- 20:56Speaker 2: made me play this answer In a move that there's
- 21:00Speaker 2: many raising red flags here, Tinder is testing out a
- 21:04Speaker 2: new feature that lets users screen for potential matches based
- 21:09Speaker 2: on heights high filter. Don't you know, maybe like age
- 21:13Speaker 2: and location. Yeah, I'm not that people couldn't just like lie.
- 21:17Speaker 3: About this, but I feel like guys do lie about
- 21:20Speaker 3: how tall they are though untendernal.
- 21:23Speaker 2: In the bio. Yeah, I don't know. I've never had
- 21:26Speaker 2: Tinder oh me either, so I my whole dating app,
- 21:32Speaker 2: I guess resume is rather lackluster. So essentially what they
- 21:37Speaker 2: do is Tender has this feature only available to users
- 21:41Speaker 2: who pay for premium memberships. They can specify minimum and
- 21:45Speaker 2: maximum heights for their matches. Now, critics are kind of
- 21:51Speaker 2: slamming this on social media, as I'm sure you could imagine. Yeah,
- 21:55Speaker 2: all right, some people. Someone has demanded justice for all
- 21:59Speaker 2: short kings. Also, someone did say, now this, actually, I
- 22:03Speaker 2: do think is a bit fair. It says, it's so
- 22:06Speaker 2: hypocritical that men are demonized for having preferences, but it's
- 22:11Speaker 2: okay for women, and often it's things men can't change.
- 22:14Speaker 2: And that was written by a lady that wow, guy
- 22:17Speaker 2: who no, you know.
- 22:18Speaker 3: What, I may be unpopular opinion, I guess, but I
- 22:22Speaker 3: feel like it's fine when a guy has a preference,
- 22:25Speaker 3: Like it's always that people are saying, like if a
- 22:28Speaker 3: guy has a preference over a girl who's slender versus
- 22:30Speaker 3: a girl who's heavy, right, and then people are like,
- 22:33Speaker 3: that's so rude. He didn't like her because she was heavy.
- 22:36Speaker 3: And I think it's fine if someone isn't attracted to you,
- 22:41Speaker 3: If men, anyone isn't attracted to someone who's heavier, I
- 22:45Speaker 3: don't see what the big deal is. The big deal
- 22:49Speaker 3: is if a guy sees a woman who's heavier and goes, oh,
- 22:52Speaker 3: look at that fat. He's a trash you know what
- 22:54Speaker 3: I mean? Then that's evil. But that's what I'm saying, that's.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Evil, that's rude.
- 22:58Speaker 3: Don't treat people poorly based on their size. But if
- 23:03Speaker 3: you're talking about physical attraction, like we're attracted to what
- 23:05Speaker 3: we're attracted Okay, So like I can't you can't get
- 23:09Speaker 3: mad at that.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Yeah, and I'm not like super tall either. I don't
- 23:12Speaker 2: know if I'm close, I guess, But it's why would
- 23:16Speaker 2: you want to If you're a dude and you're not
- 23:18Speaker 2: crazy tall, why would you even want to be with
- 23:20Speaker 2: someone who's not attracted to that? Anyway? I don't know
- 23:23Speaker 2: a lady likes dudes who are six two? You know
- 23:26Speaker 2: what they doxactly, that's perfectly fine.
- 23:29Speaker 1: That's a great point.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Why would you even want to be with someone who
- 23:32Speaker 2: wouldn't like that?
- 23:33Speaker 3: To me, everybody, I'm five to one, So to me,
- 23:36Speaker 3: everyone is tall.
- 23:37Speaker 2: You don't got to I'll try to be I'll try
- 23:43Speaker 2: to be better next time.
- 23:43Speaker 3: My boyfriend, for example, he's five seven or five eight
- 23:47Speaker 3: with good shoes on or something, right, sure, And but
- 23:49Speaker 3: to me, and that is short king status. I think
- 23:52Speaker 3: it's five eight and below, it's short king. But to
- 23:56Speaker 3: me he's tall because I'm five to one. Yeah, right,
- 23:59Speaker 3: Like maybe the move is for the shorter guys to
- 24:02Speaker 3: go for the shorter girls.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm totally true, Tolly fair, How tall are you, Gabe?
- 24:08Speaker 2: I flirt with short king status. I think I'm pretty
- 24:10Speaker 2: darn close, but I'm I don't know, so I'm five nine?
- 24:16Speaker 3: Okay, well are you really five nine? Because I feel
- 24:19Speaker 3: like I'm gonna I want to bust out the tape
- 24:21Speaker 3: measure and see yeah, yeah, okay, yeah.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Can I keep my shoes on while we do it?
- 24:27Speaker 3: No?
- 24:35Speaker 2: And I have little gabes good news of today. I
- 24:37Speaker 2: think this is perfect timing for just what, especially with
- 24:40Speaker 2: the smoke what you're dealing with yesterday and THEA and
- 24:44Speaker 2: the Canadian wildfires. KB Home is one of the nation's
- 24:49Speaker 2: largest builders. They recently launched this thing called Dixon Trail.
- 24:54Speaker 2: It's a new neighborhood that's made entirely of wildfire resistant homes.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Oh.
- 25:01Speaker 2: The sixty four home community was designed using guidance from
- 25:05Speaker 2: the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety, And essentially
- 25:09Speaker 2: what they did was incorporated Class A fire rated roofs,
- 25:13Speaker 2: ember and flame resistant vents, and then a five foot
- 25:17Speaker 2: buffer around each structure. Now, as I'm sure you can imagine,
- 25:23Speaker 2: these aren't cheap, okay, right, us peasants can't afford them, Okay,
- 25:29Speaker 2: but it is a step in the right direction. They
- 25:32Speaker 2: should eventually make building them easier and more efficient, and
- 25:35Speaker 2: the materials you know, can become easier to come by,
- 25:38Speaker 2: and YadA, YadA, YadA. Yeah. Are priced at about a
- 25:41Speaker 2: million dollars and the homes aim to offer peace of
- 25:44Speaker 2: mind in regions that are constantly affected by wildfires. Now
- 25:49Speaker 2: developers removed common ignition sources like flammable exterior materials and
- 25:55Speaker 2: included features that with the gutters and upgraded the windows
- 25:58Speaker 2: and doors with all metal fencing and things like that.
- 26:01Speaker 2: So while I could not afford to, I probably can't
- 26:06Speaker 2: to go out and buy a one million dollar home
- 26:08Speaker 2: unless there's a bank who really really trust me. It
- 26:12Speaker 2: is cool that there is a step in the right
- 26:15Speaker 2: direction for this, and hopefully because you know, in Canada
- 26:19Speaker 2: we're getting affected by those fires. California had those crazy
- 26:22Speaker 2: fires recently, and just tons of areas that are affected
- 26:26Speaker 2: by that. This I think is just a positive direction
- 26:29Speaker 2: to maybe get this available for more people that I
- 26:33Speaker 2: agree could afford it at some point. So the world
- 26:35Speaker 2: is full of nice people. If you can't find one,
- 26:38Speaker 2: you gotta be one, and out right now we're gonna
- 26:41Speaker 2: have some. Sam Smith don't forget, by the way, some
- 26:43Speaker 2: other good news. I will be with you today at
- 26:45Speaker 2: ten eleven, Not Megan. I will be with you at
- 26:47Speaker 2: ten eleven for the Big Money Board
